Season 8, episode 11 and 12, the Walking Dead Fear, the Walking Dead edition, titled
Fighting Like You and the Road Ahead, the final episodes of Fear, the Walking Dead.
Episode description on IMDB, the Fighting Like You episode, The Horde led by Troy, surrounds the walls
of Padre. Madison and her people must fight for their survival to save what remains.
The Road Ahead episode, as the series of.
series comes to an end. The fate of Padre's survivors seems to rest in the hands of an unexpected
hero. Myself, Jeff Fisher, Jason Butchell, and Maximus Fisher. Welcome. Welcome to Talking
Walking Dead. The shows should have been called Storytime. I felt like what's all we got
during both episodes is Storytime. Anyway, hi, Jason. Hey. Maximus. Hello. How you doing?
I am, excuse me,
I have to drive my eyes.
The final two episodes of fear are over.
Fear the Walking Dead has ended.
It could not happen soon enough.
No.
These two episodes, holy God.
Holy God.
I mean, I know we ripped apart last week's episode,
but these two episodes may have actually topped this.
the final episode last week
and
I kind of feel targeted
Jeffie
I was like I said before
I thought well I'm off air
that it was kind of like targeted at you
but I think they were targeted
it was targeted at this podcast
I think it was
it was a collection of everything
that would piss us off
all wrapped in one
and it worked
the hilarious thing is
so watching this with my father
I couldn't stop laughing at some points
because I knew how, if I was watching it by myself, I'd be like, oh, of course that happened.
Really, that happened?
I just, I wouldn't be laughing.
But watching it with, watching with Jeffrey right here, I couldn't stop laughing because he was genuinely
getting so mad.
Oh, that was just unbelievable.
At one point, after like the second tease, which I'm sure we'll get to later.
But I was like, the only thing missing now is Sherry splitting up with the one.
White and saying she can't do it anymore and going her own way and then by the end of the
episode coming back to him that was the only thing that was missing well I thought we might get
it with there at the end with Dwight wants to go back to the sanctuary and I thought
she was going to say I can't do that I can't do that D I'm going to go on my own again I
thought for sure that's what we were going to get I was a little disappointed actually
and the ultimate and the ultimate conclusion was the most telegraphed ending ever I
think that we were saying that was going to happen at the very beginning
Yeah, I mean, it had to.
It had to.
And, you know, I know we're jumping ahead, and we can go through the episode if you want.
Yeah, we have, we all, I mean, we, we, we, we, you jumped ahead through two episodes.
We have two episodes to get through.
I know, I know.
It's, okay, so Troy with his daughter Tracy and, you know, the Walker mom must kill Madison.
The stuck and the muck walkers are set free for the herd.
Where have we seen that before?
You know, we're leading herds into the crowd.
And okay, all right, we've only seen that a couple times, the main show, right?
We've seen that a couple times during fear, really.
I mean, with giant herds coming to town.
That's what, I mean, that's what ended up at the Troy Ranch, right?
It was the giant herd coming.
Well, it was him leading it, too.
Yeah, that was his deal.
And the thing that I thought, so right off the bat, I was like,
Like, so the six-year-old was able to describe to Troy exactly where Padre is, the place that is completely impossible to find.
She saw the lighthouse.
I saw a lighthouse, which you don't see those on beaches and beach communities anywhere.
Nope, no, they don't exist.
Okay.
Okay.
And when you're in, you know, Louisiana is the lighthouse in Texas, is the lighthouse in Georgia, is the lighthouse in Virginia.
I don't know.
It could be anywhere.
We don't know.
And is it down in Florida?
But let's march the herd to it regardless.
Absolutely.
Let's get the stuck in the muck walkers, free them up, and march it toward them.
Let's go.
And the slow walk with the herd was amazing.
I mean, we were so, they were so close to them.
We've seen herds being led before, and they were never that close.
But I get, it's okay, fine.
And we had zero.
this is, I mean, we're far along in Dead World and we have had zero look at walkers other than the slow walkers.
Other than normal walkers, in fear specifically.
Yeah, we've seen, we've seen zero walkers that are advanced with a different plague, which is kind of strange, actually, because I thought we were going to, I thought in the beginning, didn't they talk about fear catching up with dead?
Even, why wouldn't they go to Alexandria or someplace where they knew people were, at least where they knew they thought where Morgan was going, that kind of thing?
I don't understand whether the breakup at the end.
I don't either.
I don't know.
I mean, it's like, for someone that's never heard this podcast, they're probably be like, they're kind of nitpicking.
Well, no, we're not.
It's, there's been crap like this all throughout this show.
things that you're you're not supposed to be able to pick out inconsistencies things that don't make sense
things that are stupid you're not supposed to be able to pick them out that easily but that's every
single episode and it's just crap writing it's boy that's for sure and they oh yeah came in town so
then in that first episode we have and then uh all the sudden we have traps set we don't know by
whom although we find out yeah we find out the long trap you know slamming the truck down the ravine
and having
you were happy at that
no doubt
finally somebody's
going to die
and Troy is laying there
with a tree limb
through him
which I mean
of course he survives
of course he survives
oh Jeffrey
I didn't know
an injury that brutal
would be so overrated
apparently that doesn't really mean much
it doesn't mean
anything
it doesn't mean anything
technically it was in a
shoulder blade so that's not an it's not an artery so instead of walking around like normal i mean
normal okay so i'll give you that he gets that he survives i'll give you that he survives with the tree
limb through his shoulder right i'll give you that and i'll give you that he continues to live
and survive with the tree limb stuck in him but at the point when we just pulled it out and he's fine
stop it.
And he doesn't bleed profusely from a two-inch hole in his body.
So apparently he can shut his heart down so he doesn't, it doesn't continue to pump and still survive.
It's medically plausible.
And he buries his wife.
He digs a hole and buries his wife.
That one was unbelievable.
That one was unbelievable.
Okay.
Okay.
March through the pain.
March through the pain.
Well, that's it.
That's the whole thing right there.
You have to just, you have to, the pain is what makes you get through.
That's clear.
We've all done that.
You just have to, the pain is what gets you through.
I mean, holy cow.
Just, at the story times of the wait, don't kill me.
I've got a deal to make.
And then a five-minute story of life, which was a lie.
And then we got another story.
That's a lie.
And then we have another story.
That's a lie.
But is it the truth?
But is it the truth?
But is it the truth?
Right.
Holy God.
And then we find out who is setting the traps.
And of course, you know, then as Troy falls into another hole, survives, of course, saved by the group.
I was still confused by the end of all the stories on why Troy didn't like Alicia.
That didn't make any sense to me.
He blamed her for his wife's death.
That was basically it.
Why?
I don't
So he goes
He goes actually
Like Madison's confused too
She's like well why so why did you kill her
Because she did something to your wife
Actually he saved her
I'm like
Okay
Okay
See where this goes
Yeah
Okay
I'm just gonna
Because Troy
Because Troy blamed Alicia
For putting the thought of
Always helping people
In her mind
Which got her killed
And he
Which is this revolutionary concept that no human in the history of the universe has ever thought of.
Maybe we should help people.
I mean, it's only Madison and Alicia because they're Jesus one and Jesus two, apparently, because of this revolutionary idea.
It's crazy.
Okay, yeah, I'd be pissed too.
Screw it.
But then we find out, Jason, and I know you're trying to make light of this.
But then we find out that Alicia realized that.
all these other her girls
the daughter crowd
and realize that more good is being done with them
acting like her
and so there's no reason to do anything
she has to go out and do more good
because then it just continues to
grow with the good of Alicia's
girls
she's Messianic Messiah
martyr come on
daughters of Alicia
that's it well I do
enjoy, though, finding out something about the daughters of Alicia, why they were created.
And I was just pretty much stunned, actually, but not really.
One of the daughters of Alicia is Scott Gimple's wife.
And so it's presumed that Gimple just created this Daughters of Alicia crowd so that his wife could have a gig.
Except the thing is, Gimple doesn't write, except Gimple's in charge of writing this show.
He's just in charge of the overall.
Telling Scott Gimple, the executive producer, that he can't come up with this idea so his wife has a job?
I don't think so.
I don't think you're doing that.
I think you're going, okay, Scott, whatever.
We'll just throw him in.
Give your wife a job.
That's just incredible to me.
So ridiculous.
Madison, it's okay.
These women are carrying on her legacy.
That was last week.
That was last week.
We cannot let that die.
That's got to remain.
That goes on a T-shirt.
the the the the the teases of Madison dying well before that we had crane come back
yeah yeah he's the one the the the brother of Padre right the brother of the
father the son of the head of Padre with his sister who's already dead and crane
because they wanted I think they wanted to tie up that loose hand because it ended in one episode
yeah because we don't want to have the show have any loose hands
don't want to happen but so then he had my his and he
He gave us a tease of Madison and Troy dying with the bridge cut and dropping them into the muck and the quicksand.
Finally, finally, we're just going to kill them both off.
Let's end it.
Cut scene.
Nope, they're alive.
No, they're laying on the shore.
And Daniel, oh, thank you for saving me.
No, it wasn't me.
It was Troy that saved you.
Was it okay?
This was the first time.
The guy who had handcuffs on,
just realized looking at you
that your eyes were lost and you had nothing to live for,
I had to save you.
Okay.
All right.
Let's label this death tease number one, shall we?
This was the first time I knew that they purposely
were targeting us and saying screw you.
Mainly, Jeffie.
Oh, my gosh.
I mean, of course, of course.
course they're alive. Of course they are. And then Crane gets eaten by Walkers because he's been
living, I guess, he's going to get fooled. I just, I find it. It was really weird how that happened.
And then more story time. And when the Madison Oxygen thing is an off and on struggle.
Which I, which I enjoy. Yeah. It's like Troy's heart.
He can turn it off and on if he's going to be bleeding through a massive hole in his body.
It's like medicine.
She can just turn her lungs off and on, which is.
More story time.
More story time.
And then again, another story where Alicia, Tracy is Alicia's baby now.
Okay.
So.
No, no.
What?
Well, before that, we saw the, the big room, the big room of.
Troy getting killed.
Right?
Oh.
Okay.
Do we have to do this chronologically
at this point?
No, we do not.
No, we do not.
Well, you were happy with Troy getting stabbed.
It was about time that he died.
Madison killed him, which was great.
I mean, I didn't, I actually,
I honestly didn't expect that.
I didn't, what are you, Jason?
Genuinely.
She's holding, she stabs him with Alicia's,
arm.
When she's...
We know it's a leash's arm.
When she sent the six-year-old away, I knew that...
I pretty much knew.
That was the tip-off to me.
And I was like, finally, she's actually thinking rationally for once.
Right.
Everybody else wasn't.
But I was.
And again, that's so unbelievable.
Well, Daniel kind of was.
I mean, Daniel was.
Daniel was.
Daniel was. Daniel wanted to kill him from the beginning.
He's the only real.
Yeah, he was the only one that's kind of real, which is weird because...
I'm glad he found that those bear.
in the forest that gave him his mind back.
Yes.
That's amazing.
Thank you.
Thank you.
That's a scientific wonder.
Tingleberries that bring your memory back.
If we could, we need that, actually.
I'm all for that.
I wish I'm a fan of that.
People need to have those dangleberries.
And then so then we have the,
when we go to the final episode.
Then the final episode of.
We start out with the flashbacks and Maddox.
and looking for Tracy and there's no way they could find a little kid hiding in a log because
where would the kid hide but inside this giant log in the middle of those fields surrounded by
walkers you wouldn't look there that would be stupid anyway so you know she's hiding in the log which
of course then you know they all go away and then Madison finds her of course of course of course she does
of course she does and then they go to they go to get out of there they're going to go to fort worth
We're going to Fort Worth.
This is just right over there.
Just make a laugh to drive 1,800 miles.
It's right there.
No problem.
I love Luciana.
Luciana's line.
I'm not driving you halfway across the country.
Yeah, and I was like, when has that ever been an issue on this show?
Ever been an issue.
You could drive to the moon in like five minutes.
That's perfectly fine.
That's never been an issue.
It was just incredible.
And Luciana is a,
an automotive expert, I believe, now.
So that's awesome.
That's good.
A electric level mechanic.
And then they all just show up all of a sudden.
I mean, everybody just shows up.
All of a sudden we have Victor Daniel and the crowd, they show up.
Everybody just shows up.
We're just there.
Oh, my gosh, you're over there?
Yeah, we're here too.
Okay.
All right.
Fine.
And more story time.
And then they get trapped in the garage.
Yeah, and then we get trapped in the garage.
And then we got the dingles all trapped at the Padres.
with the herd attacking.
And so now they're both surrounded by walkers and Victor can't take it.
So we're just going to fight all the walkers and get to the Lou Padre to save them.
And we do.
So it's great.
By the way, just saying, Daniel yelling at Strand and Madison, he added points.
Oh, yes.
Absolutely.
They brought out, and I know Max was happy when, what's her face?
who, uh, June, I mean, I understand her character at all, to be honest.
I mean, she's a, she's a nurse, she's a doctor, she's not a nurse, she's not a doctor,
she fights, she doesn't fight.
That one scene where they're all fighting walkers and she's standing there with her hands
on the kid's head because he got cut or something.
I'm like, um, how about you kill some walkers?
How about you do something?
We're just standing there with their hand on the kid's head going, oh, they're fighting.
Are you okay?
I'll take care of you here.
I just, okay.
I just, I don't understand.
But she did pull out.
She pulled out the Dory pistols, which did make me happy.
Yeah, she pulled out the Dory pistols, which Max was all heavy about the flashback to give you a little touch of John Dory.
Was that not the weakest Walker battle ever?
They kept cutting out, right?
They kept cutting out, right?
They cut out all the big battles.
Yeah.
It was all implied.
That's it.
Yeah.
at the garage and even at Padre we got you know we had a few deaths and then and then in the end we got the flashback of how Madison
okay before we get to the before we get to that before we get to that oh that was T's three that's correct that was T's three
that's correct because at the garage we get T's two which I which was okay so she's telling you a story about
her dad after they all leave
and she has the conversation with Victor
which I think was actually
might have been one of the actually better
like scenes in this episode
of her talking with Victor
before he leaves
that's just perfect
but then he leaves
she gets in the car and then she's talking with Tracy
about her
dad drinking
and I had she to tell Tracy that she killed her dad
amazing
And then she's like, so you know what I don't know that we knew that before.
I don't, I, we might have, that might have been an early season thing.
I'm not sure.
But then she goes, okay, then you know what I have to do.
And shoots her in the side, which by the way, when that happened, dad cheered.
He was very happy.
Yes.
Finally.
Let's do this.
And I should have known.
I should have known.
It's my fault for not knowing that she, of course, was.
survive because I thought for sure that was that was the kill shot yes we're done with her
and then and actually he's go hang on saying guys who and in what world does a show tease
someone's death three times back to back to back to back here the walking dead I mean
that's clearly an attack on us that's got you specifically you should be pissed right now
that's like if they just like stood you up in front of the of a wall and just slapped your
face three times as hard as they could and said take it jeffy screw you for screwing with our show
for eight years i know i know i'm not apologizing i'm not i'm sorry no i'm not bending the knee
but don't like her it should have died it's hilarious because earlier in the episode we forgot
before the like she was talking with tracy about the necklace and how it didn't work and
about how it's supposed to bring good luck it didn't work and then she tries to shoot her at one point
and the gun's empty.
So she takes out the clip.
Yeah.
Puts the necklace in the ammo magazine and puts it in her, puts it in her pocket where she gets shot.
Yeah.
She doesn't die.
We get it.
She's not dead.
It was hilarious because like when she woke up and then she started pulling something out,
and probably like, the necklace is what saved her.
And he was like, oh, no.
Of course.
But then the aftermath of, you know.
know, like Strand explaining, no, she saved us.
And then the whole story about, yeah, she goes in.
But then for real, this time she's dead.
T's three.
Now she's dead for real.
How she saved them was very similar to how she did it in the stadium, right?
With the flare leading them underground.
I don't know you guys.
I'm just like the whole time.
I'm like, what is happening?
How are they doing this to us three times in a row?
That's unbelievable.
What? Unbelievable.
So, and again, we don't even, at the Padre, we get a little bit of the fighting.
They're stuck in the fort.
And, of course, then we get the flashback story of how Madison saved them.
Like I said, very similar.
Yeah, it's the stadium story.
A full circle moment from the stadium to now with the flare.
But let's analyze this act of heroic kindness for Madison.
She's basically in a basement when this thing explodes and the entire building comes down on top of us.
She's behind a- Let's not minimize that.
She's behind an iron door.
Yeah, behind an iron door.
That was open, by the way, and they showed the flames bursting through the door, through that hole.
You know, the food door or whatever, you know, the opening on that metal door got there because that was the prison doors.
And she had her oxygen mask on.
Yeah, of course.
And that's what saved her as unbelievably.
plastic oxygen.
The concrete building coming down on top of her is also an issue.
That was probably my biggest issue.
But I don't, I guess we'll get to that a second.
Oh,
because there was access to heavy equipment because that's what it would take.
So someone clearly was operating heavy equipment.
Yes.
Then it cuts back to Tracy.
Then it cuts to Tracy after he,
she dug her out and said it took,
it took almost two days to dig you out.
Oh, that was the heavy equipment.
That's six of them.
And then drag her to the,
The beach.
That's right.
A town out of the beach.
A six-year-old.
Okay.
And then she says it wasn't for this.
It would have saved you.
And when that happened, I paused the show.
Tees three.
And I had to look at that.
I just, I had to pause it and look at dad.
I didn't say anything.
I just paused and look at it.
It was just terrible.
And then the greatest moment in Walking Dead history happened, people.
Oh, the biggest surprise ever.
that no one predicted?
No, no, no.
We predicted it.
We predicted it.
Oh, no, no one could have saw that coming.
Okay.
But I actually,
No.
Jason, I wish you were here for this.
So,
what happened?
I don't pause or whatever.
The next five minutes happened.
They're talking.
They're talking.
They're talking.
They're talking.
They're talking.
And then the beach behind him.
Dad says,
why doesn't
Alicia just show up?
Hello?
Is anybody here?
Cuts the figure in hood.
Like a millisecond after, he said, oh, why doesn't Alicia just show up?
Hello?
Is anybody here cuts to stranger in hood?
I pause it and just start dying laughing.
I couldn't hold it in.
I just had to pause it and laugh.
I thought for sure that, I mean, the way they did it is different than I would have done it
because I expected her to have like angel wings coming out of the ocean that you saw in the background from the tent.
And on the third day, she arose.
Right.
Right.
I mean, holy God.
Now, it was timely when I said, I mean, why doesn't Alicia just show up?
Hello?
Hello?
And her explanation.
Her explanations is like, yeah, so I heard that, you know, building exploded.
I heard some radio chatter.
Of course that could only be.
Yeah, the radio chatter.
Everyone's listening to everyone's radio chatter because there's walkies everywhere.
about how building explodes.
I was just carrying around and repeat her in my back pocket.
By someone named Madison.
She explicitly says by someone named Madison.
And she was like, I know it didn't make sense to me because I thought you were dead,
but I had to check it out.
Because only that.
There's only two people in this world that like to help people.
That's only Madison.
No, there's only one person named Madison in this world is what I'm trying to get at.
Not only that. It's not only that. It is only two people, period, in the world.
Because they are the messianic saviors that are more effective, you know, when they're dead, when they're not around.
I will say, everyone fell in love with, oh, that's so nice.
Skin Mark's back.
Daniel got his cat back.
Skid Mark's back.
So we didn't get to see the queen, the savior, carrying the,
bag with the cat in it.
But there it was in the tent.
Oh, what's that?
Oh, it's the cat.
It's Skidmark.
That reunion was so much better than the Alicia Madison reunion.
Yeah, it really was.
And I don't think the show creators intended for that.
I don't think they saw that.
It really was.
I will say the, the, uh, the reunion between Madison and Alicia was.
really not that good.
I mean, I don't know what I expected
because they both are, you know,
tremendous actresses. So when they're
in the scene together,
they're, you know, what happens is two positives
make a negative and that's her.
That's what it was. Yeah.
And then we find out
Troy lied. Tracy is actually
his daughter, not
Alicia's. There's no way Alicia had a baby.
I mean, she even, I, we knew that.
I mean, I even, I was like, so Alicia had this kid, and it was eight years ago.
And there's no way that that was Alicia's kid.
No way.
And yet Madison still believed it.
But there was just no way that that was true.
And that's what, and even Alicia was like, I don't have a kid.
Nobody's, nobody's looking to do business with the angel savior with one arm.
But then we cut to the, we cut to the final scene where they're all splitting up.
We have June and Odessa going to go back to the cabin in Texas.
John's old cabin.
Oh, can I go with you so I can learn to be doctoring?
Oh, okay.
We have.
That was so random.
That was.
As if we should care.
I'm right.
We have.
Why do we care that she's going to become a doctor and learn to learn from June?
We have Dwight and Sherry deciding to go back to the sanctuary.
That's when I thought for sure if she was going to say, I can't D.
Yeah.
And then, but she agrees.
I'm going to go take care of Skidmark with Daniel.
I'll go my own way.
And then we have Luciana and Daniel still heading out together, which like I, like every, I was so, like that reunion with Skidmark was amazing.
That, that, that, that, that was great.
And why wouldn't they show themselves?
So they don't, they don't have a reunion with the whole crowd.
But we get the, uh, the mirror shot.
The mirror shot with Victor and his, his family, his family.
You know.
After this entire show at this point, like instead of making Alicia and Madison the, you know, the saviors that are more effective in their absence, I think Skidmark makes a better case for everyone, you know, continuing Skid Mark's legacy.
I will say with the breakup.
I will say with the breakup of all of them, it does offer the opportunity for more shows.
It does.
And then they say they're heading.
LA. They're heading to LA.
Yeah, Alicia and
Madison. And Tracy.
Oh, yeah,
and the kid. And so, you know,
so, I mean, it could
happen. We could get Alicia
Alicia and Madison's LA Adventures.
See, I don't, yeah, I don't think so. It seems like to me
they know that that's a dumpster fire of a story, and they
just sent them west. To me, I think that the ones that went east
are probably the ones most likely to become.
and show up in future shows.
Dwight, Sherry, that group.
Basically, that's it.
Morgan, because he's probably going to be more accessible.
Well, he left away at this point a while ago.
But June and Blue Jay or whatever the hell her name is,
send them back to Texas, Madison and...
Strand.
Send their asses back around.
Strand is just traveling so he could literally be anywhere.
Yeah, please don't bring back Strand.
No reason.
I know.
Strand with our main characters, this seems so laughable.
It's like bringing a comic book or like a cartoon character into a real, you know, live action show.
I will say that I looked at the The Walking Dead Instagram account last night.
And they have a picture of Madison.
And what's your reaction to the series finale of The Walking Dead?
There are 514 comments.
It says they asked for you to drop your reaction.
below. The top
first response that
comes up is the best part is Daniel got
Skidmark back.
But then we get to
the show has been awful
since the fourth season. So glad it's
painfully over. One thing about all these
comments, which Dad did seem surprised about,
there's a lot of fear fans that
loved season 1 through 3 and when
Morgan showed up, a lot of people hated it.
Yeah. And then we
get to, I think my favorite
comment
from, uh, oh, I know
this one. What's the deal?
Fear never lets me down.
I'm letting me down.
Right.
Accurate. A lot of people, a number
of the comments like the Madison and
Alicia reunion. I did not. I mean,
I knew we were getting it. We talked about it.
Yeah. We had to get the
reunion. But it just felt
it should have been more eventful than it was.
Yeah.
It didn't come close to the Sherry Dwight reunion.
No.
Not at all.
I get it.
We make fun of what happened after.
But the Sherry Dwight reunion was genuinely one of the best moments of the show ever had.
Except remember that part where Al was like wearing not too much clothes.
Oh, for the love of.
We all remember that part.
Don't really.
All right.
So that's,
wrap this thing up because the show is done.
We're back in February
with the new... No, we don't have
we don't have any more talking, walking
dead for the rest of the year. No,
we're done. 2023 is over.
And we had to end it on fear,
didn't we? Yes, we did. They couldn't
air this one first and then give us
Dead City and Darrell. No, they
we need
some, we need some downtime, I believe.
Yeah, it is surprising that
they did give us
like fear
in between Dead City and Darrell,
instead of giving us
Dead City, Darrell, and then
Fear,
it would have been much better
for the franchises.
Really good, bad,
great, great, bad.
For the past couple years,
fear just felt like it's the show that they
wish didn't exist, but they
have to wrap it up somehow.
And so I'm sure they're all
just like, oh, thank God, this is done.
I hope that's true.
I hope that's true.
I really do.
I agree with you, Jason.
I think I know.
I think I agree with you on like basically gimple going, okay, it's over.
I can actually focus on what we need to.
Just imagine being gimpal and you're in the editing rooms of both Daryl Dixon and fear.
And you're seeing what a masterpiece Daryl Dixon is.
And then you're looking over at what's being done with fear.
I mean, I can't imagine.
That's got to be, I would say hilarious, but for him frightening.
Good God.
Yeah, no kidding.
But, you know, for.
Over coffee, the wife said, I want to be in the final episodes of fear.
You better make me into final episodes of fear.
All right.
We'll make up some kind of, we'll call Alicia's girls.
Fine.
The daughters of Alicia, get it right.
The daughters of Alicia.
You can be a part of that.
I claim that name.
By the way, I was hoping Tracy kind of was Alicia's daughter, only to validate that name.
Yeah, that would have validated it for sure, daughters of Alicia.
Okay.
So I will, and we are going to end the episode today with the little.
Merle Haggard, just like Fear did with Mama Tried, which is a classic Merle Haggard song,
because you just have to.
I have to follow suit with the episodes.
So we've done their own grave, but thankfully it's over.
Final thoughts, Mr. Ruchrell?
This show is, I guess, a warning to anyone that wants to do a really cool show, but doesn't
have the amazing budget to do it.
they got close
and season one
was probably the only one
that I thought was okay
if people go all the way to season four
I just can't do that
in my opinion because I constantly was thinking
about what it could have been
and not where they were taking it
so it was always like ah that's why it was like
okay that episode was okay
these last next four were bad
oh this episode was okay it was like that
through the entire series
but a good
idea and concept that they just
didn't have the might to pull off in my opinion.
Yeah, I have to agree with Jason on this.
As a finale, these
two episodes were not that good.
As a series,
like, fear had
some high highs and like
they're like, like I said, there were some
like characters or episodes that were genuinely
good. Like almost every episode that starred
John Dory, it's amazing.
But like,
other times it just wasn't good
like, to put it lightly.
like they like I said
this show wasn't even a roller coaster it was
up this is bad
bad bad bad oh my god that's just some of the
best things walking dead is given us
bad bad bad bad bad
oh that was good bad bad bad bad
I mean good
good actors will carry bad
bad riding and they had you know
the what's Morgan's name
what's his name
I can remember
yeah
anyway yeah Morgan
that guy
that's that's the same
what we're talking about.
That actor is really great.
You know, he could have carried the show.
The Madison actress is just horrible in this show.
She's pulled it off in other shows.
They kept trying to give us kids who are terrible.
Yeah.
It doesn't make any sense.
But then you kick off, like Max pointed out, like a great actor and character John Dory.
Like, again, he could have been a part of a core to carry the show.
But they didn't.
They never used to it.
Yeah.
And then they killed him off.
with a kid
I would just say that
for the most part
fear for the most part was
not good
yeah we got eight seasons of it
and man were we lucky
thank you
thank you for listening to
talking Jason Butchrell
Maximus Fisher myself Jeff Fisher
thank you for listening
and we'll see you when the Rick and Michaud
show show up those who live
those who live
we'll see if that show can keep up
with the Dead City and Daryl Dixon show goodness.
You know, I hope so.
I hope it does.
But I have a feeling.
It's just my own old gut feeling that it's not going to.
I hope you're wrong.
I hope you're wrong so much.
Thank you for listening to Talking, Walking Dead.
kept on turning till mama couldn't hold me anymore.
I turned 21 in prison during life without the role.
No one could steer me right, but Mama tried.
Mama tried.
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading I deny.
That leaves only me to blame because Mama tried.
