Season 9, episode 16 of the Walking Dead, the season finale entitled The Storm.
That makes this the season finale of Talking Walking Dead.
Welcome to it, Talking Walking Dead with myself, Jason Butchell, and Maximus Fisher.
The IMDB description of the storm in the aftermath of an overwhelming loss,
the communities must brave a ferocious blizzard as one group deals with an enemy from within.
another is forced to make a life or death decision.
You know, I enjoyed it, and the more I thought about it since last night,
I maybe enjoyed it more, but I don't know that it was what I expected.
Really?
Yeah.
I thought it was cool.
I thought it was a cool episode, too.
I didn't.
I was really curious on how they were going to end it, you know, because I knew, I assume,
maybe, okay, so maybe I assumed a little bit too much that they were going to have some huge cliffhanger.
Because that's usually what they do.
Yeah.
Yeah, but that really wasn't.
Yeah, because the big crazy thing was the other episode.
What other episode?
The episode prior to this one.
The episode.
The penultimate episode.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
That was the crazy thing.
That's usually the season finale.
So this is kind of strange.
This was almost like one of their, like, filler episodes almost.
Yeah.
But it was good.
And they gave us, you know, at the, when we got to the end, we got the cliffhanger, though.
They did give us a cliffhanger at the end.
Did they?
Yeah, with the ham radio.
Oh, yeah.
Somebody trying to reach out.
I wouldn't know if I'd call that a cliffhanger.
It's an interesting tidbit.
Like, oh, what was that?
But I don't know if that's actually, oh, my God.
Like, we have a couple.
No, what's going to happen next?
Yeah, we have a couple theories on that.
At least I do.
Yeah, I was hoping to see if you knew exactly who that was,
according to the, you know, the comic books.
usually on the comic book wise that whole radio thing
Eugene set that up and he was actually talking with someone
who was actually one of the representatives of the Commonwealth
and that's kind of how the storyline started
but that was a long a half that was not long
but near the end of the whisperer arc so
okay interesting so I personally
that that would mean they that I don't know
I guess we're assuming that the whisper arc will end after next season
possibly.
So it's very, it's highly possible.
We don't even, they don't even approach that ham radio thing until very late.
Right.
In the next season.
Right.
I wouldn't, that's so something they would do.
Everyone's wondering and they don't even mentioning it.
Some people, some people were thinking maybe it was a long stretch, Rick or Jadis.
Maybe Maggie.
I thought it sounded like Maggie.
Sounded like Maggie to me.
A bit, it did.
But there's no way of knowing.
I was like maybe Maggie, maybe Jadis.
If it's Jadis, that sounds very much like the Commonwealth.
Are we assuming?
We're assuming, but we don't know.
That she works for them.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what it seems like.
That's what we're assuming.
And, you know, do we know if Maggie's TV show has been canceled yet?
She might want to be back.
I'm back on the Walking Desh.
Full time.
What a coincidence.
I've got plenty of time next year for you.
So, you know, it's possible that it's her.
I have a feeling that you're right, Jason, is that,
We're not even going to get that mentioned until maybe mid-season finale again.
Oh.
Where they tease it again?
And they did earlier in the episode, they did say something like, did you hear from Maggie?
Yeah.
Remember that?
Yes.
That was last night, right?
Yeah.
Earlier in the episode, they were like, anyone heard from Maggie?
Yes.
Nope, still haven't heard.
Send a letter.
But then all of the end instead of the letter, you get the radio transmission?
Yeah.
I didn't even think about that until just now.
So it's possible.
Yeah.
And so we had
And the kingdom fell
Which was strange
I don't know that I
Makes no sense
It doesn't make any sense
It doesn't make any sense at all
To me
I got you know the the rot spread
But with the battle and the fires
I mean it just didn't seem like
Why would you give up that fortress
The rot spread on what the
The pipes
I guess
Because yeah I did see some holes in some of the buildings
Like a fire
Right.
Maybe fix the roof.
I mean, oh, so in the zombie apocalypse, if you don't have your indoor plumbing, screw it.
We're moving out into the wilderness.
We're done.
It's like first world zombie apocalypse problems here.
Listen, we've got walls for crying out loud.
Remember, they said they needed that trade fair for it, for like to bring trade in.
And of course, that kind of went to ruin after halfway through.
Right.
And so, you know, I guess, you know, we had the fights and the battles and we were trying to
keep the kingdom alive.
But it seems strange that we're heading into winter, and that's the time we choose to say,
eh, let's get out of here.
Yeah, we got this place that's still has some buildings.
Still got a few places to hide up.
Let's leave.
Let's hit the road.
The whole, like, we need trade to survive thing.
I never really got that.
Like, oh, so you don't do crops well.
Okay, plant some.
You know what I mean?
Like, do some hunting.
But the kingdom did do crops well, right?
I mean, that was their deal with Nigan.
They were growing stuff.
That was their deal.
The melons and stuff.
Yeah.
Like, Hilltop excelled at that.
Yeah.
But still, like, I don't understand.
Yes, Hilltop did.
But prior to that, the kingdom was growing stuff.
Yeah.
I don't know.
No, I don't get it.
The only community that produces something that everyone else can't really is Alexandria with the bullets.
They're the only ones that, like, have the means to produce something that everyone else can't.
But everyone else can grow their own food.
You can hunt for your food.
Like, what do you need?
Why do you have to have this trade to keep the community going?
You don't need indoor plumbing for you to be able to stay at one spot.
I tend to disagree with that.
I think you didn't know indoor plumbing.
Now we can move on.
Your options are indoor plumbing are living like the whisperers out in the forest.
Okay, screw the indoor plumbing.
We're fine with our walls.
Anybody else in this world would kill for what they have, rot or no rocks.
Alexandria, too, right?
I mean, how...
Alexandria's still working fine, minus the cold that happened.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, it was nice to see there.
It was nice to have me back at Alexandria and see...
Bringing Negan back.
The Negan scenes were tremendous.
Yeah.
You know, that guy is...
Jeffrey D. Morgan, I mean, he just owns the scene in there.
Yeah, it's such a shame that he's not in there more.
I know.
Well, even if it's just in the cell,
have at least one scene with him in every single episode.
I know.
is what I think we're going to have a lot more
Negan season 10 because
he really gets push up
a lot in the second half of the whisperer
arc in the comics and he doesn't
really show up that much in the first half anyway
so they could be going off of that
so
Negan's going to have to
be a strong
a strong helper
in the war against the whisperers
yes he's I mean it's obvious
that's what they're going to need right
he's the one I like what they've done with his character
because he's still like the ass, you know?
Like screwing with the preacher.
Like father, but what was the father?
Father, not the father.
Not the father.
You four.
There's always, with your love.
That's so good.
There's always like every circle of friends always has that douche that says like the, you know,
the thing that he shouldn't have said.
I don't know what you're talking about, Jason.
I don't know why you're looking at me when you're saying that.
I don't know why you're so nervous, so it was so funny, especially because when you get said, this is like Christmas to me.
Oh, yeah, it was really good.
It was really good.
I was surprised, too.
I mean, it was kind of, kind of dushy and stupid of Eugene not to know about the fireplace.
I mean, that's his job.
Wait, so what was the, what was that?
I guess it was, it was rotted and it was clogged up.
So then it turned.
And the gunpowder or something like that?
Yeah.
It apparently like a mix between, you know, like different chemicals and because they were all like smelling something.
And Egan was like, do you smell something?
I know.
But I didn't understand what, I mean, unless there were there dead walkers in the fireplace and the shoot?
I mean, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's why I'm asking because, I mean, I've opened up fireplace this shoots most of my life.
And that has never happened.
That is not happened.
I don't think we were meant to know.
Like, every time there's something technical that we're not really meant to understand,
just have Eugene say something weird.
Oh, that was amazing, though, when
Negan said, God, I've missed you,
Eugene. I feel it's not mutual.
You know, that's not mutual.
Yeah. But the weather element was, like,
was cool. I have no idea. That's probably the first
time we ever seen snow. Yes, it is. That's insane.
Yes, it is. They went to,
I was surprised the set, they talked,
they showed on the show that airs
two or three episodes after the show is over now on AMC.
kicked out not even just by the end of the badlands because I know moved to some other show
it's like why do you hate I actually sadly I kind of half enjoyed the show that was on but I would
have rather had it been talking dead oh my god I just mentioned it I'm sorry but they talked about
how they got the studio and built that up at the studio the studio reminded me of stage 19 here
Mercury Studios. Stage 19 is what
20,000 square feet?
And they got a, they found
a place that they said 40,000.
The studio was double stage 19.
Wow. To build the set for this.
So, I mean, it could have been done here.
Although, you know, they would have been cramped
at 20,000 square feet.
But they showed the studio and stowed the making
of the set. It was fascinating because I thought
it looked very similar to
Mercury Studios here. Except twice as big
scene. Yeah, I mean, it was fatter.
Which is amazing.
because there was actually something fatter than here.
But anyway, so we had the end of the year.
And I didn't quite understand when we went to the Whispers,
and we saw Alpha and Beta,
and they were, this was another quick time jump, right?
This was in the springtime.
No, I don't think it was a free winter.
I don't think this was a time jump.
What I think is exactly what they were mentioning on the show after the show,
after the show, is the,
the whispers pretty much kind of migrate south.
Yeah, they're...
They're rumours.
Oh, really?
Yeah, so they're rumors.
They come back to old territory,
so they'll come back to where we know
their territory is before the winter.
They kind of like migrated south.
So they weren't even there. Interesting.
Right.
Okay.
So, you know, that is very interesting,
and it was fascinating to hear that
because you didn't think about the whispers,
which was, you know, dumb that we wouldn't think of this,
but that they would be migratory.
I did think it was a time jump at the end.
I did too.
So I was like, what?
You know, because the whole time I was like, I was like yelling at my TV screen to stop killing the walkers in their territory.
Right.
I was like, you're just giving them evidence.
Right.
Everything that happened.
Thank you.
If they're iced in the pond, leave them be.
I was thinking the same thing.
There was three of them that were, they were literally frozen.
They're not doing anything.
But the lake, they can come out of the lake?
Thank you.
Like, what?
Thank you.
Like, there's some continuity.
Newity is. They weren't coming out of the lake. They were under the snow. Oh, that makes it better.
Okay. So they were under the snow. It's warmer under the snow that's standing up there.
Right. Well, maybe that's... Come on. Well, actually, wind chill does have a big thing in that.
That it, wind chill. Because you saw how powerful those winds were in the show.
No, there's no science thing that's out. Like, are you working for AMC?
If it's cold enough for them to stand there and get frozen stiff, they can be frozen stiff while. They've stood there for a while and snow went over them and then buried them.
This is like when you fall under water and your body just the temperature drops and you become, you're frozen, but you're alive.
I don't know you're dumb.
Don't you know that you are frozen but you're alive?
Even if you're dead, you're frozen but you're alive.
It didn't seem strange.
It didn't seem strange.
Whatever.
But I mean, whatever.
It was fun to watch.
It was fun to watch the death.
But you're right.
I was screaming.
Why are you killing?
Why are you making all this trail?
Yeah, I know.
And it's not like, you've got like a very iconic looking like Gatana sliced to one of the heads.
Right.
You know who killed those.
Right.
They're not just dead.
Yeah.
Yeah, they weren't just walkers killed by someone passing by.
Oh, my gosh.
But did Daryl had two of the best kills?
Oh, definitely.
Count them two.
The first one with the icicle to the face.
No, in the eye.
The icicle to the freaking the iceicle.
Yeah, the icicle.
Yeah.
The icicle.
That's good.
Yeah, and that one, and at the very end, when he smashed the guy, the dude's head,
the scarecrow walker.
That was dope, man.
So good.
I love it when they do that.
You know, once they pass through the territory, I don't care how many walkers they kill.
But I was with you 100% on all the deaths during the, in the territory of the whispers.
Why?
I mean, before that, we were at the sanctuary.
Yeah, it was fun to go back to the sanctuary.
It was, you know, to go in.
I was surprised that they didn't still have a cover.
set up where Negan was there at what time.
Speaking of at the sanctuary, what is going on with this whole King and Daryl and
Oh yeah.
Oh, yeah. King is just a little hurt and jealous.
And you heard Carol saying he can't blame me so he's blaming everybody else for, you
know, the kid's death and, you know, their struggles.
So he's all jealous and butt hurt over Darryl being with Carol.
So is it possible, is it, okay, I was struggling with this.
So I was wrestling with this.
So is he jealous of Daryl and Carol?
Or was he insinuating the fact that Lydia is there?
And he knew that, like, Rick was kind of taken over,
or not Rick, Daryl was taken over, like, looking after Lydia
and saying, get her out of here?
Maybe.
Is there a possibility?
It could have been either or.
I couldn't really tell, but then I was like,
he should, he, everyone knows that Carol and Daryl are not a romantic thing.
Right.
They're just like, they're just like lifelong friends at this point.
Yeah.
Like you can't break them up.
And they've pretty much saved your ass king.
Right.
And they're not a threat to your relationship.
Right.
So I just like, what is going on here?
Well, I think what happened too is that we had, right, in the time jump was the time between the whispers,
putting the heads on the pikes and winter, right?
So in that time frame, however long that was, was more of living together.
He said a couple months.
It even seemed longer than that.
So in the time between that and the time they left.
So there was some kind of life.
Another time.
Because prior to that, they had a little bit of life with Hank before they shipped him off to Hilltop.
Right?
They had seven years.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
And then they, you know, they missed him.
And when he came back, it was cool that he was back.
But since he was there, you're right.
It was okay.
that Lydia was there because he was there.
And so when he ended up being gone,
you know, all they see is him, right when they see her.
And even Carol said that.
And of course, we had, in the beginning,
we had Alden kind of a little bit scolding Lydia.
Yeah, he was just being a dick.
He's out there just trying to, you know, some of your people.
Yeah, come on.
Yeah, right.
You could kind of feel for him.
I mean, his girlfriend got her head on a bike.
This is the second awkward, like love-triending.
they're trying to force into the show
if this is the case?
They're not trying to do a...
I don't think they were ever trying to do a love triangle
between Carol King and...
They never were, but they're insinuating it now.
I don't think it's a love triangle.
It's a triangle, but I don't think it's a love triangle.
I don't think that it's a love triangle either.
I think it's just the king being jealous of...
My first reaction was the king just being jealous
of the time that Carol is spending
with Daryl instead of him.
Right.
So he perceives it as a love triangle.
It's him, his wife, and this other guy that he thinks is romantically involved.
I don't think he thinks he's romanticly.
I don't think he ever did because he wouldn't.
Then why is he saying stay away?
Because I think it's just the time.
You could spend time with people and not be romantic and still take away from another relationship.
I don't know.
The way he looked at Darrell and Carol when they were doing the little migratory walk.
Right.
I think her hand was on him
like around his waist or something like that at the time
No she put it on his shoulder
Anyway maybe I
I don't know
We got a little bit of good with Jerry
We got a little bit cool with Jerry
I'm sorry it was just like
It's just something that
On the heels of the whole
Rosita
Preacher thing and all that stuff
Like these are just plot lines
That never would have made the cut before
I'm like why are you trying to inject this soap opera
It's a soap opera drama
It is soap opera drama.
Petty's soap opera drawn.
If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't get those Negan lines.
So I'm happy.
Which ones?
Oh, the preacher thing.
With Rose to the preacher, yeah.
The doc.
He's not hard to write cool lines for.
I think they could find other vehicles for that.
Yeah.
I'm just like, man, we don't need that.
It's like you, I don't know.
It's like when, like, a lot of these like World War II movies where they have to like add in this extra stuff, like the Dunkirk movie,
They added in stuff that wasn't factually accurate.
And amazing stories, you don't have to add in stupid stuff.
It's just already amazing.
Walking Dead World is already amazing.
You don't have to add in these stupid little soap opera tricks.
But they do that all the time now.
I know.
That's part of their deal.
With the arrival of, what, Angela King or whatever.
I'm not.
I tell you that.
People are seeing her praise.
They sure are.
I love her, I mean, through the roof, man.
I'm not sold.
I'm really not.
She was on the show.
that comes after the show that comes after the show.
And, man, they love her.
I'm not seeing it.
I'm really not.
There's been a few things that you can chalk up to the director did very well.
Like the feel of the whisper.
Like the whispers, it's hard to screw that up because it's so cool.
And like the settings, the scenes they've done, like, in the very beginning, you know,
with the cemetery was awesome.
Yeah, that was great.
Running through the cornfield.
Was that Niccatoro, too?
I don't know.
I think Nicquetero.
I know he did last night.
charge of the cemetery scene.
I think he was, too.
I think he did the cemetery and he did last night.
So those, I mean, those, I mean, he's the guy, right?
Yeah.
He's the man.
The stuff with the whispers where they're like slicing off the faces and stuff like this,
that feels very walking dead.
Sure does.
Walking day creepy, everything.
But that's not Angelo King.
No, no, it's not.
So, she's more of the soap opera.
See, that's, see.
Yeah, that's why you don't like it.
I think, I think you're right there.
I think she's more of the soap opera and the, the crying, you know,
the scenes that she wants that she wants to try to get you to be extra emotional on.
Absolutely.
So, you see, the things that they're giving praise for,
I don't think it's anything to do with Angela King.
I think it's just that they have a very good baseline story with The Whisperors
and the directors are hitting a home run.
And Angela King's like throwing in all this like stupid crap.
I mean, there has been some good, like, quote-unquote, soap opera or drama stuff
like during the prison thing with Rick and the ghost phone.
But that was a while.
That was a thousand years ago now.
I tell you what, and that was part of the show.
show of that like I love the plot line
during that that's one of my favorite times watching the
show I hated that in the present
me too I hated seeing Wissy Rick
me too and then of course they brought
Woossey Brick back with Negan
back and forth back and forth
me too I'm with it did not like that again
the most frustrated I've ever been with the show has been when they've done
stuff like that
thank you
but
that and when certain characters go off on Zen
pilgrimages to learn how to be Buddha
oh
that gets you bad because
You love the Dr. Fruit Crew episode.
I do.
Well, that, first of all, first of all, that episode that you're referring to, a tremendous
episode.
Anyways, moving on.
It also was not a part.
It was him just thinking back, right?
It was past of what it got him to up to speed today.
It was that groundwork.
Yes.
And that's one of the things that we didn't have with Negan that we should have had.
I agree.
Because that would have told us why he likes Judith and what helps,
what that part of that Judith relationship is that prior to him being Negan,
he was a teacher, right?
In the comic books, we know that he was a teacher.
So he has an affinity toward kids and helping kids.
So it was, it was something that, you know, this Judith relationship is part of that as well.
You know, which would have added to how we got to know him better.
It wouldn't have just said, it wouldn't have just said, why is he?
being so nice to Judith, you know?
I thought of something good.
So, season 10, if we get the Negan episode where Negan meets the Whispers and, like,
in the beginning, in the comics, he actually starts working with them a little bit until he realizes
is how insane they are.
But in the beginning, he's just like, oh, these are just people trying to live.
So while he's there and while you see him working and with the Whispers, that could be his
flashback episode as well going back and forth.
I hope they do it.
Yeah.
I hope they do it.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
That would be good.
Oh, and the flashback actually...
Are you with Angela King now?
No, I just...
That just came to my mind.
He won't be turning an Angela King, and he's like,
and then Nican and Alpha and Beta all get into a relationship.
Well, actually...
Well, Neegan actually does joke around.
I'm saying he loves Beta, or Alpha, just going,
you must be Alpha, and I'm in love.
First lines, he...
does when he meets her that's funny love that's great all right so we we ended the season we had the
we had the ham radio um chat so that gave us a little bit of a little bit of what's to come in season
10 and we when we did hear that uh you know the whispers were migratory so we find out you know
we'll know that they come back around and come back so they they kind of take the hoard with them right
I mean, they just move with the horde.
And they rule, they have their own horde, and they just rule the horde.
I like how we started calling this one a horde.
It's not a herd.
It's a horde.
Yeah.
Yeah, no question.
I love the fact that they're getting the core group all together in one spot.
How great is that?
I mean, I love it.
We got Carol, Daryl, Michelle.
Mishone.
Who else from the, is that crap?
There's not too many left in the core group.
Could you count Eugene?
Oh, yeah.
I'll count a little bit of Virginia.
You can count to preach, man.
The Preacher Man's a little bit in that
As far as where we're at today
The Preacher Man is in that
I mean he wouldn't be in the beginning
But he certainly is now
Another character that should not be alive right now
Yeah, oh my gosh, should have been long gone
But even Max right in the comics
He's dead at this point right?
No, he's still alive at this point in the comics
Oh, I thought he has a gruesome death
Oh, he does
He does but that is later in the Whisperer Ark
So that's probably still coming
Oh so he goes this year then
He might go in season 10
Or they might give his death to someone else
Like they did with the Pike
Because in the comics, Rosita and Ezekiel get the pikes.
So crazy.
So they might give his gruesome death, which I don't know if I want to spoil that.
That death was...
And the kingdom falls to the whispers, right, in the comics?
No, Hilltop almost falls to the whispers.
Kingdom doesn't really fall at all.
Wow.
So they just switch those.
And not almost, it does go, right?
I mean, the kingdom doesn't necessarily fall to the whispers, but it falls.
Oh, no. And now the people of Hilltop, most of them did survive in that scene,
but Hilltop was pretty much gone. Like they had to rebuild everything, including the house.
Well, it looked like that there weren't a lot of people at Hilltop anyway, right, when they showed up.
So they lost a lot there, too. A lot of those people are long gone when they showed up for the winter, right?
They just walked in. Nobody was there. Nobody was saying, hey, we've already got a fire. Why don't you sit over there?
Yeah.
They just took it out. You know, they just walked in.
I don't know.
It was weird.
And so it'll be exciting to see.
I'm excited to see.
We also have, we saw the, they released the trailer for Fear.
I didn't watch it.
Oh, my gosh.
Jason, what are you doing?
It was so good.
You're going to be so happy.
Really?
Yes.
Wow.
Oh, my gosh.
I want to just pause the podcast.
No, we're not.
Just so you can watch it so we can talk about it.
Well, describe it.
No, we're not describing it.
We're not, you will have to watch it.
Now, you do have to watch it.
Now, you do have to watch it.
But we have...
That's June, right?
June 2nd.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, it's got to be done with, right?
April, May, April, and April and May,
maybe that's right close to the end of Game of Thrones.
They do this.
Which we talked about.
Yeah, which we talked about.
It's going to happen.
So, oh, my gosh.
What do we forget?
Hold on, because I'm into fear now, so don't take me too far back.
We forgot to talk about Lydia trying to commit suicide.
Oh, yeah, her walk her side.
You know, let her.
go. I know that she's the big character
in the comic book, so we want to keep her.
But, you know, she needs to go to. They said
it was a small reference, and I caught it, too, to the
comics, because in the comics, Carol commits suicide
in a very similar way, where she walks right
into a walker. It walks into the herd, right?
No, just, she walks into a walker at the prison.
So, Carol died a long
time ago in the comics. Well, her character,
first of all, her character is great.
That's why she's not going to die. I mean, she's... Better not.
She heard no way. No, no way.
She, you know, it's up to her when she goes, right?
The same is just like what's Rick and the same with Darrell.
It's up to them, right?
Because she is such a powerful character.
I mean, she owns every scene she's in.
Mm-hmm.
You know, she's already talked about she's feeling her old self come back.
And she has no other, I don't think she does anything else, right?
Right.
Oh, yeah, I mean, Melissa McBride.
Yeah, she's been in some other stuff, but I mean, this is it, right?
Yeah, I don't think there's any danger.
And why wouldn't you?
I'd ride it out.
I'm right.
This is it.
I mean, you look, people work lifetimes to find a horse to ride.
You find that horse, you ride it, man.
You have to.
Of course, at the end, we had Carol take off the ring.
That was great, but she did get to keep it.
She did get to keep it.
But she was like, I think it's season 10 she gets her hair cut too.
I think she cuts her hair again.
I don't like the long.
I like her.
long hair. I think she cuts her hair. She's back to being.
Utilitarian. She's back to being, I'm going to kick your ass.
Right, right, right. I'm going to mess around with them.
Which I tell you, some of my favorite, like, hardcore, like, carol scenes in, like, the...
And she's coming to Alexandria, so she gets to meet Negan, right? She gets to meet Negan.
She's got... Remember when she was fighting, when they were fighting the Saviors? And she was, like, it was her and somebody else.
And she was, like, leading them into a trap into a building. And she was up, like, in the ceiling, shooting down through the ceiling.
It's like, gr! I know.
See, that's what I know. See, see, that's what I'm.
I want that Carol back.
And then she killed them all,
when they attacked her and Hank that night,
you know,
and she went back and killed them all in the building.
Tremendous stuff.
Yeah,
tremendous stuff.
Just walked away.
So great.
I know.
We haven't seen any of that in a long time.
This was funny.
On the show that comes on after the show.
It comes on after the show.
Melissa McBride was actually saying how
Ryan Hurst,
when she was watching that episode of the show.
And then she was like,
he never told me that when I met him.
Oh, yeah,
because Hurst talked about having a crush on her.
How the guy could have a crush on Melissa McBride.
Yeah, yeah, that's funny.
Yeah, it's really funny.
And she said it was, you know, it was just fun being on the set with him.
All right, back to fear.
Because we've played the top one.
Dead's over.
I can't talk about it.
Dead's over.
No, actually, we have one more thing.
Oh, boy.
You have one more thing.
And it's about Enid.
What about her?
Since you didn't write your apology letter last week.
They don't need to write an apology letter for what?
I wrote one for you.
What?
What?
Apology for what?
I, Jeffrey Fisher, humbly apologize to all the listeners.
I misled into believing that Enid was a traitor to our group,
and I fully admit that my theory was wrong.
I'm not reading that.
There's no way of knowing that right now.
I'm not reading that.
We're going to find out that I'm right.
That is coming in season 10.
All right, so fear.
All right.
Dude, we have, we have.
Don't spoil him on too much.
Please.
No, it's okay.
Because you have to watch the trailer.
but it's hard for me to say that I was actually excited after I saw the trailer for fear to come back.
It was so good.
Wow.
It was really good.
And they've brought back that we've got Dwight.
We knew Dwight was crossing over.
They show that.
Cool.
Don't.
I know what you're thinking, but I want him to be shocked when he sees it.
I know, but we're here for the audience.
Okay.
just know that one of the great characters that I wanted to be part of fear from the beginning that I loved is one of my favorite characters is coming back.
And I was so happy.
And it just makes me realize that we were right all along and that now they're realizing that they need to, that they're, well, you know, maybe this show really did suck.
And we got rid of the wrong people and we have to bring some of the stronger people back.
Yeah, that's exactly what you have to do.
So I can't wait for you to see the trailer.
So I'm excited for you to see the trailer.
Just can't wait for you to see the trailer.
Can't wait for you to see the trailer.
Can't wait for that.
So that's when we'll be back with Talking Fear when that comes back.
I will probably not be on that.
Just to let you know, I will probably not be on Talking Fear.
Oh, darn the luck.
I don't know what I'll do.
Or a good chunk of it at least because I'll be working at summer camp.
Oh, cool.
They have no phones?
Glad you finally got a job.
No cell phone?
I could, but the service there is absolutely horrible.
Yeah, we ship them out the middle of nowhere, Jason.
Trust me, it's the only way to get rid of them.
It's not a joke.
It's the only way to get rid of them.
Ham radio?
You want me to bring a ham radio?
That's actually, we should do that.
Is that Max?
Or is that Maggie?
Or is that Jadis?
It's calling in?
Is that Max?
