Season 4, episode 6, titled Just In Case, Air Date 520.
This is Jeff Fisher.
Joining me on the pod, as usual, Brad Staggs, Jason Buttrill, back from special assignment, and Maximus Fisher.
That makes this talking fear.
All right, Jason, nice to have you back.
Yeah, safe.
Good to be back.
Yeah, well, I mean, you had your little weak assignment of going, I don't know where the heck you were someplace in the Middle East.
Gaza Strip.
Probably that Israel place.
You cannot find episodes of Fear the Walking Dead anywhere in Israel.
I tried my damnedest and could not.
Really?
Really?
Stream it.
I kept on getting that message of death that said you cannot stream in a foreign country, yada, yada, yada.
What's the point of the internet and streaming if you can't do it while you're traveling?
Yeah, that's weird.
Come on, man.
So you had to wait until you get back and gladly, you know, a lot of people are glad that you're back safe.
Actually, it's fascinating.
And I haven't had an opportunity to talk to you about that trip
because I've been over there a couple of times
and I know all the places you went
and I know everything.
I cannot wait to sit out and talk to you about it.
Yeah, it was dope.
One-on-one.
But anyway, it's good to have you back.
And so you got the episodes under your belt.
Finally.
And so let's back up an episode just for the heck of it,
the one that you weren't here for.
A quick recap from you.
On Laura.
And I'm a virgin on hearing your thoughts on that episode.
I didn't hear the last podcast.
They couldn't stream the podcast in Israel either.
Couldn't do that either.
I'm putting up an Israel fight for that.
You might have been able to, but the internet was so horrible that I couldn't actually pull it off.
You know, I wanted to try and stream the video.
Right.
So anyway, yeah, so I don't know what your thoughts are on it, but I was digging it.
I thought that there was a lot of cool walker action, which is usually missing from fear.
so there's a lot of cool Walker action
the walkers were actually a threat which I liked
I liked all the backstory
but I hate
I hate that Laura chick
Laura Naomi
I cannot stand her I can't either
I don't like
She just bugs the heck out of me
Like their story was kind of cool
You know he's all teaching her to fish
And I did that
She showed up with the gash in her side
We fall in love
I like that
We wake up from our sleep
And I lost my daughter
No it was I lost my child
Whatever
I didn't, you didn't like that?
I just,
it's like,
Jeffie,
I get the backstory.
I love the backstory.
Right,
and that's what we always
say we miss from the show.
I know that.
I know that.
I mean,
granted,
it wasn't Morgan going off
and learning how to be a pacifist,
like an idiot
that all of you guys just loved.
It wasn't that much of,
oh,
what was wrong with Eastman?
Don't go back at me with that.
So what was wrong with Eastman?
it was right
that was a good episode
I thought
Jason just gave us a hard time
because we like the episode
and now we're complaining
about this one as all
there's no consistency
on this show whatsoever
if you like that
oh my god
come on
do not
I think Brad Staggs
is starting to row off
and now that he's like
is he in the bathroom
or something like that
yes he'll be here
I think he's starting
to rub off on you
because you are sounding
a little bit too negative
on this
I am very negative
and especially
after this latest
episode, holy cow, my negative.
I will give you the Walker stuff.
The last two episodes have been really good
with some walkers stuff. I thought that
the Laura episode was, he's too
smart to have jumped into that ditch
that he built to fight these walkers.
And he's still
being the Mr. Nice guy at the store.
You know, putting his name
down to rent tapes and once a week
travels and he doesn't take anything extra.
And it was just,
Well, that's, what's the fear of shooting?
I don't, that's, I don't you, they're playing up the, was that an anti-gun thing?
Didn't, well, no, it was him, it was him because he shot the guy when, remember he told the story of, and you may have been in, you know, Israel fog, but he told the story of him shooting a guy.
Yeah.
At a gas station when he was coming back from his cowboy show.
So he used those guns, the pistols that he had, the six shooters.
and he shot the guy and the guy died
and he felt bad about that the whole time.
Okay, so that makes him not want to use his guns
during the zombie freaking Apocos.
Yes, shut up.
Well, he was right, it would attract more of them.
Thank you.
He was right, it would attract more of them.
He was right about that one.
Well, yeah, we know the noise attracts more of them.
And then all of a sudden, there's very few walkers,
and we're at the gas station,
and we realize that they fall off the bridge
a little bit at a time,
and that's what floats them up the river and he kills them.
And then so they move the Jeep and then that attracts a thousand walkers.
Yeah.
I didn't quite understand that.
Yeah.
Why did more of them come and start put?
Why were they trying to get into the water?
It might have been.
Well, we decided that they were trying to get into the water because of what was going on.
And the walker and the Jeep in the water was making all that noise.
So it was attracting them.
That's what it was?
I totally missed that.
Yeah, you know, when they pulled up, remember there was the walker in the Jeep or whatever that was making all that.
noise.
Yeah.
Because he thought,
uh,
Dory thought that,
uh,
that's where she came from.
And she said,
no.
So that's why they were continuing to,
why didn't they just kill the,
the walker and the Jeep then,
if that was the whole issue.
You know what?
That's a good question,
isn't it?
We didn't talk about that,
but that is a good question.
No,
we did talk about that.
Maybe your mic was off at the time.
Ha ha.
But seriously,
if you want to fix the problem,
you don't just move the Jeep,
you eliminate the reason why they're actually going down there
in the first place.
Right.
And that's what they did to the,
the original Jeep right when they moved it.
I mean, it was just weird.
And then at the end, you know, they kissed and then he woke up.
She was gone.
So it was a good episode, but that pissed me off.
I'm like, this lady is just annoying.
Why would she just go right?
She took the boots and left the scrabble letters.
I love you.
And I still, I get, now they really tried to focus on the latest episode, they really
tried to focus on, you know, why she was leaving everywhere.
However, at the end of this new episode, which we'll get to a little bit later on,
in the episode, we find out that she left again and became a traitor.
Yeah.
To the vultures.
Oh my God.
I hate her so much.
Now on to just, now on to just in case.
I hate her so much.
I can't stand it.
There's nothing likable about that girl.
I mean, there's nothing at all.
I don't get it.
So we're just skipping to the end of this episode then?
No.
Well, we're not.
I just, I'd skip to the end because I wanted to talk a little bit about how much I hate her.
and how much we ended up
why we can't figure out why she's leaving all the time
it was presumably because she had to wrestle with the death of her daughter
and the death of all the people at the FEMA building
and it was her fault that they all got sick
because she stuffed her daughter into a closet
while she went out to get medicine
and her daughter died which made everybody else sick at the FEMA camp
all her fault I say we should have left her in there
let the walkers eat her and be done with her
I'm okay with that I was okay
I would have when she was halfway across
on the rope trying to get over the...
Oops, sorry.
Strangler.
With Strang just accidentally, let's go.
Oops, let's go.
And it looked like she was kind of okay with that as well.
I know.
Is that what she was going for?
I think she was going for that.
Yeah, she was finally sitting up on top of that scaffolding.
Okay with, I'm just going to die here.
Yeah.
I'm going to be, I should have died here.
I left my daughter.
All these people are my fault.
I'm just going to be, I'm just going to be dead here.
I have to admit.
Instead, they rescued her.
And now she's struggling with it all over again.
Although I have to admit, that one.
scene where she was walking past the
hallway where you see the walkers behind
her at the doors. That was a cool scene.
Fulish, but cool. It was foolish, but it was
a cool scene. And then she sees the
kid on the floor and the daughter
and the drawing of the kid's hands up on the
wall and falls down and makes a giant
noise. Gee,
was this the episode also that
Strand reveals that he had a
backup plan? Yes. Yes.
No, we found out that Strand had the backup
the episode before
with him going out with the other guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he told Madison this episode.
This episode, right, right.
He told Madison.
Madison was not happy.
Yeah, that felt like a kind of a pretty big deal.
And then we get a little more backstory on what happened at the dam.
Yeah, he told, you know, we got him, him and Madison drinking and talking the backstores, why did you save me?
Why did you wait for me?
Why did you save me from drowning?
You pulled me out of the water.
You waited for me to get better.
In a cave.
And then when they were at the motel, they talked about being in.
your favorite place, Brad, the
Roswell. Oh, yeah.
Talked about being Roswell with the backstory.
So I remember that. That was kind of cool.
The end of this episode
is very, very hazy to me because the whole
time I'm thinking about how much I hate Laura.
That's because of the alcohol, Jason, and we're here
to tell you that you really should cut down just a little bit.
I was six shots deep, I think, at that point.
Your wife called us and watched us.
So much so that Max came in and goes,
can you believe what happened at the end of the episode?
And I was like, holy crap,
what happened at the end of the episode?
I completely just blocked it out.
It was what you and I said,
Duffy, that if there wasn't the possibility of it being not the way it looked like it was,
we'd be done.
Yes.
We'd be done.
Definitely.
They, they, John and Morgan decide that, you know, hey, John's okay and Morgan's okay,
and they're going to go off and be lovers together
and try not to kill people and build a better world.
And then they come up on the,
others from fear at the racetrack.
And Morgan says, hey, I already talked to the other people.
They're not coming.
But the cultures do show up.
Yeah.
And we see Melvin wearing normal clothes.
Oh, Melvin.
Yeah.
He came out without his...
Is that the Metro guy?
Without his Gucci pants.
Yeah.
Metro Negan?
Yes.
Metro Negan.
The Gucci's out of really good at the park.
Remember when he had like the tight camo pants?
So bad.
No, I don't remember those, actually.
Really?
You had, you guys noticed he was wearing tight camo pants?
Yes.
In the last episode, he was in the parking.
They looked like silk.
They look like silk tight.
Did they look really nice?
I mean, did you like them?
I did it.
I really liked the Gucci ones he was wearing.
Just checking.
And then, uh, I'm going to ask a really stupid question, but it's going to make sense.
This is on, right?
Ar's our.
But the, uh, and then.
we see in the just in case camp we see them grab the fertilizer yeah yeah they got all that but
remember at the end uh at the end what i was getting to and i know i know you got to run and you know
you're too good for us for the entire episode whatever don't worry about it just because we get me
the same room family's more important um that uh john dory gets shot yeah yeah very very disheartening
it broke my heart i couldn't i can't believe it and uh he was on the the show after and uh
they never completely said he was dead.
Oh, he's not dead.
No one is ever really dead in the show.
And if he is really dead and he's not coming back, I'm not either.
And I can't wait.
Remind me next week.
I know you got to go.
Remind me next week to talk to you about your personal hygiene.
About Nick.
Oh, my God.
Do we have to?
For me to get you wound up, I absolutely have to.
It's really good.
Him showing up in the backstories?
It's really good.
No, no, no, no.
Get out.
All right.
I'm out.
See you, Jason.
So, and then there was the beginning of the episode with the one with the, the one vulture named Edgar.
He, him unscrewing everything.
That was pretty funny.
Then he grabs like the lamp and then the bell.
Right.
Right, right, right, right.
Well, that's the van that Morgan, you know, that Morgan and John took.
And that's where John had the cool quick shoot of shoot the finger off.
That was really cool.
Could you really do that?
Could you shoot somebody's finger off?
If you had the precise aiming, yes.
Back in the day, back in the day when I was doing the Western shows, Brad, you know, yes.
Right, okay.
I mean, today, don't practice.
Probably just, like, take the tip of it off.
No practice, I might hit the hand.
Right.
Not just the finger.
And then, of course.
Back of the day of the finger.
And then, of course, John being pissed at him and then removes the gun from his face,
Morgan lets him go after telling him don't come.
And then John gives Morgan the guns.
I actually really like that scene honestly
I still am confused
and I really am confused on
why What's Her Face
would turn around and shoot John
Well I think she was aiming for Laura
Yeah I think she was aiming for Laura
Because that's when we found out that she left them
And became a traitor and went with the vultures
Yeah
That was unbelievable she shows up in their just in case vehicle
is talking to
Melvin
Nijin
It's unbelievable
I hate her so much
It took me a few minutes to figure that out
But she wasn't aiming at him
She was aiming at her
Yeah the only thing is
Like I said I watched the show that airs
A show after fear
They don't even come on after fear now
And Chris Hardwork
I feel your pain bro
I do
I feel your pain
He was done
John Dory was on there, and they were joking around and saying, you know, he shot, he's dead, and they didn't, he never even, you know, for sure said that he was dead. They even put on screen when they went through the deaths of the episode. Is John Dory dead, you know, that whole thing? And then the girl that was on the couch with them, the pink-haired girl.
Red, I think it was lights. Yeah, lights, at lights. Look it up right now, because I don't know.
I don't know either. At lights. At lights. L-I-G-H-T-S.
At L-I-G.
So she's on the couch, and she says she was really bad, and she was upset,
and maybe he got hit in the chest in the Scrabble box.
And that was my thought, is that he got shot in the Scrabble box that has,
I love you.
I'll bet he did.
With the letters, which ties into Laura, right?
And that saves his life.
Okay, so it looks as though he's bleeding from the mouth, though, when he goes down.
And she only shot once.
I didn't notice that one.
So I watched it.
Anyway, maybe he just.
Maybe it was dirt or whatever.
I don't know.
Maybe he had a bad tooth.
He bit his tongue when he fall down or something.
That's what I know.
But when she said that, he laughed, ah, ha, ha, but he never said no or anything like that.
So it's possible.
Maybe it's a contract negotiation.
I don't know.
You can't.
One of the best characters to come along and we're going to shoot him, kill him already.
I know.
I mean, we already got, we got rid of Nick, and we all like Nick.
He was just, well, he was coming around.
By the way, Likes is a Canadian musician.
Yeah, that's what I said.
She's great.
All right.
Okay.
And then we, uh, I think it was because, as Alicia was aiming for Naomi when she,
saw her and she thought she was dead.
And then.
Naomi.
It's Naomi.
I said Naomi.
Where did you, did you, did you, did you,
teach him how to say Naomi?
It's not Naomi.
Naomi.
That's better.
It could be Naomi, I guess.
Anyway, she turns around,
she sees her thinking she was dead,
and then she gets pissed.
That's twice you said pissed on this episode.
He's using bad language.
If you were in England,
that would mean drunk,
and we don't want people to be confused.
That's bad language from you.
Okay.
She was really mad this episode.
See how he that is?
And who are you talking about, Naomi?
Alicia was mad.
Oh, yeah.
was mad.
But not Naomi.
Great.
I love you, Max.
He doesn't, but I do.
Ah, yeah, yeah, it's just, uh, so anyway, what were you saying, Max?
Where Alicia shot John, she was probably aiming for, or Naomi, but.
It's, uh, it's Naomi.
Yes, but he was right.
And then John got in the way.
John was trying to protect.
I promise you it will never be Naomi again.
Nope.
It'll be every other vowel.
No, I think you're right.
I think she was aiming for her
because that's the moment
that Alicia realized
that she was the traitor
when she said, no.
Yeah, okay, I'll give you that.
I'll give you that.
Finally, a traitor is revealed.
Well, we already had Charlie.
Right.
You already had Charlie in the beginning of the season.
Hold on. Remind me who Charlie was.
A little girl.
Oh, that's right, the vulture.
It was another vulture.
So soon they forget.
And plus, right, and plus.
the whole Vulture thing, I mean, it seemed as though they gave up awful easy.
Okay, yeah, let's talk about that.
Wrap it up.
Yeah, yeah.
Wrap it up.
We got seeds.
Oh, okay.
So in about six months, we're going to be good.
Oh, okay.
Let's go.
Move it out.
That was the worst.
Yes, I gave you that.
That was the worst.
And I thought, surely they, what?
And plus we know, this is, you know, I'm getting the, you know, the befores and the
afters and the now.
and the house and the whole thing and the Nick and the Matt.
If we're going to, I mean, let's kill him off and be done with them.
Yes.
If we're going to kill them off, let's kill them off and be done with it.
I'm wondering what's happened to Madison.
She's dead.
Well, she's still alive in all the episodes, right?
Well, she's still alive in the past.
Nick's dead and he was in the episode last night.
No, I know, but they were all in the befores.
So death really does not matter.
It's not a distinguishing characteristic on this show.
Well, for right now it isn't because we're going before and.
Who's to say they're not going to be before after all of them?
They could, after all this, during the time when we're in the present, they could be before.
That's a good point.
We never get rid of them.
They're going to be around forever.
That's a great point.
The next five years could all be before and after.
Yep.
That's exactly right.
You've just ruined my whole life.
And I could not help but draw the parallel between JIC and JSS.
Yes.
Thank you.
Okay.
So you were not alone.
It wasn't just me.
No.
No, you were not alone.
And the other thing that really...
And an...
Oh!
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
I was going to say the rope rescue bugged me.
Why did the rope rescue?
Because there's no way that Strand holding that rope the way he was.
It's going to hold her.
He's going to hold her and that rope is that top.
My father-in-law, 110 years old.
You're not going to tie that thing down?
Right.
What if you slip?
She's going down.
Which I'm okay with, by the way.
I wanted...
I've said it earlier in the broadcast.
I wanted Strand to go, oops, sorry.
Sorry.
But no, that roared.
rope in the shot where she was climbing.
And then Madison finally runs over and helps him.
Right.
She even in the middle of the scene went, that doesn't look real.
I've got to go help.
Strand, you're doing it again.
The wrong way.
I know I've got this pile of walkers trying to get to us, but we've got to make this
scene look somewhat real.
I cannot, I honestly cannot figure out what goes on in the writer's room.
It's really strange.
They go, man, we are going to mess with the viewers this week.
I was actually watching a few videos, and he's the thing.
I think one of them, they even said they prefer, they think fear is the better show compared to normal dead.
A lot of people have been saying that.
That doesn't make it true.
And I could not disagree more.
You just keep saying something, and eventually someone will believe it somewhere.
Right.
And again, you know, walking is coming to an end.
No, it's not.
Well, they've signed for this next year.
They're already having contractual disputes with people.
They've killed off some of the big characters.
They're veering away from the comic books.
So we're winding it down.
You get nine or ten years and they might have two years left, maybe.
And then you're looking at just they're going to walk away and leave it to the reruns,
which is fine.
They'll all make a fortune for the rest of their lives.
And I can hate them for that forever.
That's all good.
I'm good with it.
But they've got to hang their hat on fear.
So they've got to make us like fear and poo-poo walking.
Because fear still has a good six or seven, eight years.
years left, right?
Carol could decide she's going to Texas next.
Carol, because Carol, you really, what else have you seen Carol in?
No, she needs it.
Yeah, she needs the work.
Father Gabriel kind of needs the work.
I don't think Negan goes to Texas.
No, Nagan does not need to work.
Oh, yeah, Jeffrey D. Morgan is just, he is high in Hollywood now.
Yeah, he's the Hollywood star.
He's not going anywhere.
He's fine.
So, agreed, agreed with that.
Now, what was the other thing?
I was so mad if I couldn't believe I was so...
Oh, when they get back.
Yeah.
Madison and...
What's her daughter's name?
Alicia. Alicia.
Alicia.
Oh, that scene.
I watched it twice, and both times I'm screaming at the TV,
I would have slapped her right in the face.
I may have been coming to us at that point.
They get back from the run with the seeds and everything, right?
Right, right.
And they get back from the just-in-case at the FEMA Center.
And they have supplies.
from the Justin Case place.
And she calls her up to the stand
where she's looking and she says,
I'm going to ask you to do something.
I don't want you to ask me any question about it.
I just want you to do it and just do it and be quiet about it.
I want you to grab a few rifles.
Once you grab some rifles.
I want you to grab some guns on,
put it in the back of the forerunner,
and I want you to park it in the back
and lock it and leave it there.
Why?
She starts to ask her all the question.
I would have slapped her right in the face.
Maybe you didn't hear me.
Said, just do it.
Just do what I ask of you
without any comments.
You're so bad.
It's agonizing to me.
I can't.
If that would have been you,
I would have punched you right in the face.
You'd be a walker by now.
I won't punch you right to face.
Perhaps,
I mean,
at least I may have not punched you right away.
I may have given you,
maybe you didn't freaking hear me.
I said,
just do it.
But seriously,
what do you mean, dad?
Thank you.
Then I want to push you to the face.
So I might have just punched you the face
to begin with.
Yeah, I think it would have hurt, Max.
Let that be a lesson to you.
I didn't understand that either.
Just do what I ask it.
I couldn't believe it.
And then she was like, why?
And then Madison said, just in case.
Yeah, I know.
They wanted to get there just in case.
But she could have done that anyway.
She could have said, okay, I don't understand why, but I will.
And to take the keys and walk away.
And Madison could have turned around and kept looking at the parking lot with their,
with their binoculars and said to herself,
just in case.
Yes.
Yep.
Well, John said it in...
Oh, but I'm not a writer.
No, no, no.
A writer left already.
I'm sorry, I don't know anything about TV.
It just showed me that everybody on that team doesn't trust anybody.
Nobody trusts anybody on their own team.
Right.
I mean, John said just in case in the beginning of the episode two.
Yes.
I mean, you're right, though.
Nobody trusts anybody.
No one trusts anybody.
I think the only two people who actually trust fully each other in this show right now
would be John Morgan.
No, I don't think.
I don't think so either.
I don't even think Morgan trusts John, really.
I don't think anybody trusts anybody.
No, I don't think so.
I think you're right.
Right now it is.
Very sad.
And where do you get hurt in this world is when you don't have trust of the other people around you?
That's exactly right.
And really, you know, that's a story of life.
Max is a story.
It's a story of life when you don't have trust.
Trust me, Max.
Trust me.
That's all.
The last guy that told me that's why I don't have a retirement plan.
That's why the IRS is calling.
I just trust me, Jeff.
Just remember the really bad stuff is the stuff you never see coming.
Yeah, thank you, Gucci.
And then we have them in the motel and then the one guy who,
the two people who killed each other over a can of beans.
Which, by the way, the backstore, all of the hotels and the locations that they are shooting in,
a lot of those got flooded.
Oh, yeah, around Houston.
Houston and Austin.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So you got the damage from that.
So you get the look.
That was a good idea.
Absolutely.
I didn't think about it, but you're absolutely right.
That's where you get that from.
I suggested that they shoot those there as part of my role as a consultant.
You're 100% correct.
You earned your money with that.
It's a really good idea.
There was a few other areas where they should have taken some money back.
Well, we won't talk about those.
Let's just strong points.
Yeah, stick with the strong points.
Stick with the strong points.
All right.
So we have anything else with this episode we want to talk about because I really
I'm still angry.
And if they kill off John Dory, I mean it.
Oh, we didn't talk that much.
We didn't talk.
I want to apologize for being a little bit late on this posting of the podcast if you're
one of the tens of people that await for it to post on time on Mondays.
I apologize.
We've had some scheduling busyness conflicts going on, as you can well tell.
Busy, busy.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, I can't even tell you how busy and important that he is.
Yeah.
But I will say this.
If we weren't doing this podcast for you tens of people,
I'd be at the pool.
I would be very agonized with this show.
I believe I would walk away.
If they kill off John Dory.
If he's dead, I'd be done.
It's one of the best new characters I could have.
That is true.
And they're going to kill them off?
No.
Surely not.
And they've got an Al, it seems to me.
Yeah, we didn't talk that much about Al.
this is...
Well, she wasn't involved except she was still shooting,
but it seems to me that they're
poo-pooing the character that she was
when in the beginning,
this badass chick in the monster vehicle
taking care of business.
Taking things at her own hands, yeah, because she kind of stood back
with the camera when she had an opportunity to take a side.
Right.
All of a sudden she was a journalist.
Right.
Well, that's always been her character when they...
No, she had.
She knew the...
In the beginning, she probably knew the story of those guys who caught John and Morgon.
She wanted the story off of John and Morgian, so she saved them.
However, to get the full story of what she's doing now, she needs to stand back.
She's already become part of the story.
Are you to disagree with you?
Because just because you're right doesn't mean I have to say anything about it.
Well, you're not right.
It sounded good, though.
It did sound good.
That was very good.
And Max, if you just had a couple more years on you,
I go, hey, you may be, no.
We did not.
No.
She's already become part of the story.
As a bad, right, I give you, that's what I'm struggling.
But she did, she's claimed she wasn't siding with anyone.
She just brought them to where they needed to be.
At some point, after the, after the disease hit, and we've gone down the road quite a ways, and you have to take a side.
Yeah.
You just have to take a side.
We haven't seen Al's newspaper printed anywhere.
We haven't seen Al.
Al dot com, you know, crossing the country.
That's true.
So take aside.
Everyone doesn't have their VCRs or their eight-track tapes or their digital recorder devices to watch Al's reports.
So it's how you got to make a stand.
Yes, I want your story.
Absolutely wants your story.
And then if you look at me cross-eyed, I'm going to shoot you in the head, period.
As you can hear on the podcast, there's some construction going on here at Mercury Studios.
We're building a whole new studio just for you.
Actually, it looks like they are.
They're getting ready for the museum, which happens over Father's Day weekend.
And June 15th, 16th, and 17th.
And look, how many ties is your dad need?
Buy them a weekend in Irving, Texas.
And come on down and let's watch the, let's go through the museum, rights and responsibilities.
I was asked to guide a tour.
And I said, yes.
And then they said, oh, by the way, we're giving you Brad Stags to go with you.
They ask you to keep an eye on you and just make sure everything was legit and above.
Is that what it was?
And the artifacts didn't disappear.
And then I didn't lie.
If you think the stories are good that Glenn tells you about this stuff, wait until you hear the stories I tell you about the stuff.
Just don't try to verify them.
Just take them and enjoy it.
Let them wash over you.
Just take them at my face value.
Actually, I think that should be fun.
We should actually discuss that.
And do this without really promoting it too well because Glenn won't be a fan of it.
But we should.
Our tour is you decide what's true.
Yes.
Oh, I love that.
Yes.
You decide what's true.
We'll make every one of those tickets worth every penny you pay.
Yes.
It would be so much fun.
You decide.
And it's a special deal.
If you buy two tickets, we'll let you bring two people in.
And maybe, okay.
Maybe we go back and forth and you can decide.
We'll both tell the story out the same item and you decide.
Like The Liars Club.
Remember that, Grandpa?
I loved that show.
You didn't see it because it was in L.A.
It was years ago.
I don't know the word you called me.
Remember that?
Yeah.
It was the Liars Club.
He said another word, though, that I don't know what it was.
I'd say anything.
Some of the, there was some great,
Max is right about people discussing fear as being much better than walking.
And I think the only reason, we'll get back to that just a little bit,
instead of reading the back and forth on our text,
we'll get back to that next week,
or the week after.
This coming weekend is no fear.
Memorial Day weekend.
You're not.
So, thank you.
So, in fact, that's what I'm going to call our,
I'm going to post a podcast that Brad and myself and Max recorded a couple of weeks ago,
and we recorded the entire podcast without Max's mic on.
And so we're going to post that as a Memorial Day special.
and you know you decide what max said right you're in the blank you decide what i said plus it we
re-recorded the podcast with everyone's mics on and it was not you know obviously we didn't
repeat it word for word so there might be new information in it and the new information might come
from where max was speaking it actually could be a whole lot better than the one that we put out
i think it was to be honest if max's mic was on it would have been the award-winning podcast that put us over the
edge.
Yep.
But for some reason,
he didn't have his mic on.
And so,
you know,
he's a young kid.
You know,
it's not his fault
that he forgot to turn his mic on.
Exactly.
And Max,
we don't hold that one
against you,
but don't do it again.
So we'll be back.
June 3rd is fear,
so June 4th.
We should be back in action
and all the schedules
back in line.
Have fun.
I won't be there.
Everyone doing their own shows.
You're not going to be here
for that one?
You're going to be learning
how to like skin.
Oh, that's right.
You're going to be gone.
I'll be working.
working. Thank God.
What do you?
I'm staffing a camp.
He's working at a scout camp all summer, making some money.
Good.
Not that much money, but it'll be enough to go on my checking account and buy a couple of
dinners.
Good.
Good.
I look forward to that.
Where are we eating?
Make some money, Max.
I have pretty expensive days.
And also, thank you for finally getting a job pulling your own weight around here.
It'll only be for a month, though.
You shouldn't remind me that because we'll find you another gig.
I promise you that
I mean you could pay me a day
here just pay me
I mean that look at the time
man we've got to go
wow
to go
yeah look at that
thanks for listening to fear
I appreciate it
it was we appreciate you coming along
for the ride today
Max let me leave you with a few words
okay
if you like fries with that
