You're listening to Chewing the Fat on Demand.
So let us begin talking about a new beginning without Rick Grimes.
All right.
Season 9, episode 6 of The Walking Dead titled Who Are You Now?
Jeff Fisher along with Jason Butchrell and Maximus Fisher, and that makes this Talking Walking Dead.
First episode minus Rick Grimes, and yet really Rick was everywhere.
Six years later, we had the big time jump, so it, so much has changed and yet stayed the same.
Along with the decay of the infrastructure in the kingdom, we got the new child that Michone claims as Rick's, I guess.
And the IMDB description says the survivors encounter unfamiliar faces outside the safety of their community's walls and must decide whether or not this new group can be trusted.
Now, that was a fascinating little process with the new group coming into Alexandria.
Yeah, we had Magna, Connie, Kelly, the girl who had a concussion, which her name was Yumiko, and Luke.
And Luke, the fat guy was the cook.
Hello, walking dead.
I'm here for you.
And he was a music teacher.
And he was a music teacher.
Yeah, I don't care about the music teacher.
I'm talking about the fat guy.
Yeah, you're really getting diss.
He is a music teacher.
First Jerry.
Now this guy.
That's what he said.
I know, right.
It's two. Come on.
I'm getting dissed hard.
So I really enjoyed the episode.
Yeah.
I thought it was really good.
I know that we're still
still hanging on to Rick, though.
You know what I mean?
He's a big part of it and it's still a big thing.
It's like at this point, after six years,
your daily conversations are dominated by this guy.
Right.
Well, I understand.
We saw Daryl and him.
Oh, wait, what did we see Daryl?
Him in the lake.
Did he finally take a bath?
So he's become a bum, basically, like a hermit?
He's just, you know, Walker Hood, right?
I honestly think Rick's death broke him.
I honestly think that.
Well, he's just out and about, right?
I mean, he's living in that neck of the woods, so he has safety where he can go to either
the kingdom or the hilltop or Alexandria and be welcome, and he can be on his own.
And if he needs to rest or assistance, he can go to one of those places.
And nobody's not, you know, they're not turning.
Wait.
And did you notice, I said this a couple of times last night, Daryl has Rick Zaxe.
Did not realize that.
That was a very bratish, Brad thing to say.
No, I didn't realize that.
That was kind of interesting, though, that, you know, they're kind of, I guess, you know,
going back to, like, his comments when Daryl said that, you know, when we were on our own,
there was nothing we couldn't do.
You could tell that Daryl didn't want to have anything to do with this whole community crap.
And the only thing tying him to that was his brother.
Rick, his new brother.
Yeah.
Only thing timed into that.
It's like the only reason like he is not reverting back to his
backwoods country days was because he felt, you know, he felt this connection,
this like brotherly connection.
And, you know, the others, but Rick and Carol were really his.
And what's your face?
Hilltop.
Maggie.
Maggie.
Maggie, yeah.
Those four really were the, you know, the group that could do anything because the others have died.
But yeah, so once that like Carol is married doesn't need him, Maggie's gone.
Rick's suppose what they think he's dead.
Right.
So now he's like, okay, screw it.
You know, I'm going back to my roots.
I do find it.
I do find it fascinating that it was, you know, we have the time jump of six years.
Yeah.
Again, like we're still every day is Rick.
Slingly from a show, but.
It's just weird.
Yeah.
And I get that they have to do it.
I know.
I know it's a TV show.
And I get that they have to do it because they're still, you know, they're still trying to have some of us at least hang on to that Rick being part of the show.
I get that.
But it was fascinating to see, you know, see the infrastructure of the kingdom going down.
We see Carol with long hair.
Yeah, she looked great.
And I did like, you know, Henry being this smart-ass little punk and the king set, as they were, just before they were taking off, he was like, you know, I appreciate what you're saying.
about you need to watch your tone
I mean that was just like a real life family there
Right, right, right
There's no doubt
And here's the thing
Jerry called him the prince
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Jerry was out there work
I was funny with my queen
And the funny thing, the funny thing by Jerry though
Is he just, you can tell he's still,
He's like, I don't think he really buys into it
It's just like a-
Yeah, he's just like totally
I love my queen
Yeah, it's just like a game to him
This guy's so awesome
You can tell you.
I don't like the queen, what do you mean?
husband to the king
mother to the prince
love that character man
Jerry's awesome and you can tell you know he's loyal
to Ezekiel you know that you know he'll never
betray him yeah you know he's so gonna die
no Jerry will not die
they are so he's such a fan favorite
but they could easily kill him off
and it wouldn't matter but we would
so be devastated yeah yeah
that right there means he's going to die
yes it certainly does
sucks but he's going to
you are lying it is
you know what I'm
What I couldn't get over last night was just how good of an actress this little Judith girl is.
The girl who plays Judith.
She is so good.
And just contrast it from young Judith, who was probably the worst child actor to ever be on any show or movie or anything.
To be behind a camera, period.
She was awful.
Remember, it was hilarious.
You could tell the director's like, please, girl, don't look at the camera.
Please don't look at the camera.
Even last episode, when Michone was reading the book, she's reading it.
And then just like in big top, Pee Herman, when he's like, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Herbin and looks at the camera.
And then like, that was her.
That was Judith.
She's reading the camera at the book.
And they're like, please, girl, don't do it.
And then instantly right on cue, she looks right up with the camera and then back towards the book.
And they tried to make it funny because I know when they were talking, when Rick was talking about some of their scenes that she didn't, she, they'd been working all day.
And Rick was all smelly and stinky.
And the little kid called him Mr. Stinky and didn't want to work with them and stuff.
Get rid of her.
ship her off.
They tried to make it ha-ha-ha-ha, so we gave her spray
to spray on me, you know, so for the scenes.
How about you spray that at home?
Oh my gosh, that's funny.
But compare it from that.
I mean, this girl is so good.
And we've only had one episode with her.
That claim she's really good.
Man, I haven't been,
I'm going to do another Game of Thrones impression
from like a young actor.
Like, remember the lady little,
gosh, what was her name?
The girl that stands up and defends John Snow.
No, I don't because I've never seen him.
That girl.
She's in charge of the One Kingdom.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That girl, like, I was like, holy crap.
But this, but Little Judas' performance reminded me of that.
Because I was like, dang, where'd they find her?
Yeah, she was great.
Her interactions with Negan were so on point.
Oh, her conversation with Negan was amazing.
And, you know, look.
And we see Negan, he shaved both his face and his head.
Yeah, Mr. Clean Cut.
Mr. I'm going to help you with math.
Because the numbers don't matter.
I know.
That was a funny, that was just, that showed her intelligence, you know what I mean?
But just also the actor, the actress delivering that line.
I was like, dang, you guys just nailed.
Whoever casted her just nailed it.
And then we have, in Alexandria, we have the new, uh, uh, you know, the new board.
Yeah, the, oh yeah.
The council.
And here's the thing.
I think I was right.
Barcode girl who used to be a savior.
she's part of the council.
I think she's the only good one left.
Yeah, of the saviors.
Yeah.
And I love the,
before we get to the preacher man,
he's like in charge of the council.
I don't want to talk about this.
He's in charge of the council.
But I love the,
when Michone walked in,
he was like,
the chair recognizes a fellow board member,
head of security.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's like, shut up.
Shut up.
But the preacher man.
Dude.
Bob man.
Taking care of some preacher business.
I already had claims on all these walking dead women.
You remember this very specifically.
I remember that.
During the episode, I was like, during the episode, I was like,
oh, looks, he's going to get so bad again.
Again, from the get-go, from their very first episode with their little pigtails and everything,
following Eugene and Abraham around.
I was like, that girl is mine.
Abraham's going to screw this up and she's mine.
And now, first, Jadis.
And now Rosita.
Are they doing this despite me?
I think they are.
More evidence, Jeffrey.
They listen to this podcast because they obviously hate me and want to F with me.
This is bull crap.
But here's the thing.
I wouldn't have been so surprised if Rosita got with Eugene.
That would have made sense.
Eugene wants that.
He does.
Eugene wants that bad.
Time out.
Would that have made sense with this time jump her with Eugene?
It makes sense to Eugene.
I'll tell you that because he's working that hard.
But it don't make sense to Rosita.
I know.
Rosita wants a preacher man, though.
She wants God.
What is that?
That pisses me off.
Now, Rosita might wear out.
Did you notice this?
He only started getting girls after he started wearing the hat.
And after the eye.
After the eye.
It's a good look.
So after that, after he got after the eye, he was like, you know, I like this hat.
Yeah, yeah.
It's the, oh, it's the pimp hat.
Now, we do have the new girl, the tattoo chick.
Oh, Magna.
Yes.
Is that her name Magna?
Yeah, Magna.
So we can step up.
I know.
Yeah.
I'm scared to put another claim in because it's just going to go to freaking Gabriel again.
Did you have a both?
It's hanging out at the house.
I should test this.
Just to test my theory they do listen to this.
And I'm just going to throw out some random connection that should not make any sense at all.
And damn, they're not going to be together by next season.
Guaranteed.
So funny.
Now we had a great, great, there were some really good scenes all around in this episode.
But the best scene is when Carol is out with Henry.
And of course, Henry wants to, he hasn't learned the fact that sometimes you need to fight.
You need to give up to fight another day.
Well, before we start, before we get that, he, he's screaming.
So he gets out and runs into the alley.
Which was dumb.
Instead of, it just takes off.
instead of, I mean, even Carol is just saying, wait.
Just you don't want to be charging down some industrial complex alley.
I completely forgot about those saviors.
I completely forgot about them.
So it was a great move on their part to bring them in, right?
And they didn't really know who it was.
They were just trying to, you know, bring someone whoever it was in.
And then, you know, realizing it was Carol, they're surrounded and,
and Henry wants to fight
and Carol's like
I don't know
we need to survive
you know let them take what they want
and do what they're going to do with
as long as we live
and then he took the ring
well yeah they took everything
but my and Henry of course
tries to fight and stupid
but
the tremendous part of it
was at that evening she
walked into the camp
the Walking Dead Equalizer man
I did not expect that at all
I was like, what?
Like, totally took me by surprise.
I love how she was like, you know, I could have let the ring go.
But you hurt my son and the stuff you have are some things that I know.
People that I belong to people that I know match.
So good.
So good, man.
I was like, I didn't even know.
At first I had to rewatch the scene.
I didn't notice you lit the place with gasoline.
So when she was, when she just lit the match, I was like, why is she?
she lighting the match?
And then she threw it down
and then it just went,
whew.
Yeah,
I mean,
it was tremendous.
And it made you realize
that Carol is still.
She never lost her touch.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's even deeper
than they wanted us to believe.
You know,
she's Missed Niccy,
but she's still like,
no.
She's always,
she's always,
I mean,
remember back when they first went to Alexandria,
and she was like pretending
to be a little Miss Susie Homemaker,
her baking cookies and stuff like that.
That's like that's always her.
Like she knows, like even now, just the queen, you know, the wife to the king and that's
all I am.
No, you know that it's not who she was.
I agree.
This was totally that like, remember, I'm playing Miss Susie Homemaker, but that's not
who I am.
She's doing what she has to do to gain an edge.
We survive.
Yeah.
And then it goes back again to Daryl.
There's nothing we couldn't do.
And then she's like, yeah.
He's like, where are we?
And then Daryl walks out and then he's like, and then he's like, and then
And Carol's just like, need a ride stranger?
I love Daryl in the hood, man.
Wait, does he still have his vest?
He might have.
She must have.
Oh, yeah, of course.
It's probably underneath his big hood.
And I see that one of the things that I liked about the saviors
was their walkers that they were using to pull the wagons around with.
Did you get that was so good.
That was good.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
It's like their own Clydesdale.
the Walker Dales
I didn't even pick up on that actually
But now
That's so good
That's hilarious
Moshone was way ahead of that game
Years ago
Right with her two
That's when we first met her
Yeah
She's hauling around her two sleigh
Pack mules
Yeah
We got Clydesdales
And pack meals
That's so good
They're hauling out
The sleys
Covered up with that
Pulling the wagons
That's funny
That's great
Santa he doesn't use
Rainier anymore
He uses walkers
No kidding
I was surprised
They didn't
address Maggie at all. No. Zero.
They said her, well, they,
Michone mentioned her, but.
She did? Yeah, remember what she, when the,
she was about, when the Magnus group was about to leave,
Michon walked up and said, there's a place that,
like this, she was going to take him to it. And she's like,
their leader, I'll be able to talk with her and stuff like that,
and maybe let you in. So yeah, Maggie was mentioned once in this episode.
I'm wondering who they're calling
leader.
Yeah, right.
That's what I was thinking that too.
We,
we assume,
you're assuming that she meant Maggie.
Because if you don't follow like the inside information on this show,
like if you didn't listen to anything or read anything else,
you'd have no idea that Maggie's off the show right now.
Right.
Like,
which is so crazy.
Like they just didn't even address it.
It's kind of,
I can't,
I don't even know why they did it that way.
Well,
I mean,
I think,
look,
she,
she was having contractual problems,
right?
And she was,
uh,
um,
working it out and then decided that she was going to try and leave.
And then Rick decided he was going to leave and nothing else mattered.
So she gets, she's like, oh, you're leaving?
That's tough.
Rick's leaving.
That's crazy.
I mean, if you're her, you're upset, right?
Oh, yeah.
She lost all the goodness of being a part of that show and then leaving.
Yeah.
Because Rick overshadowed at all.
It would have been good for her career, too, if they did something Rick-esque, you know,
with the big goodbye stuff.
It would have been good for her career.
She said she's not leaving the show.
They left it.
She said she will probably return to the show.
It's not like Rick where, oh, it was his final episode.
Lauren Cohen said she will probably return to the show.
So that's probably why.
I think that's just.
Wishful thinking.
Wishful thinking or just to keep the audience on the hook
so they don't get pissed off that all the core members are gone.
for all intents and purposes
she is off the show.
Yeah.
Like I agree.
She's already working.
She's doing another show.
She's,
that's already done deal.
But I agree, Max.
I think they will definitely bring her back
for like a special,
maybe a finale or a midseason finale
or something like that or something.
I don't know.
Something will happen that,
I don't know.
And she may have a drive rating.
She may sign a deal to work with the Rick
and some of the movies too
and some of those side deals.
Something like that.
Yeah.
So she's still part of that.
So they have to keep the character somewhat alive.
Right.
So you go to the,
You go to the hilltop and she's never there.
Jesus takes over.
What?
I'm just guessing.
I don't know.
I don't know how they're going to explain her away.
That's just so weird.
The pain was just so unbearable that Negan is still alive or something.
I don't know.
And we have the baby, right?
That took eight years to be born.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
I mean, that kid's Hilltop now is being six or seven years old too.
Yeah.
Right?
So they got her kid.
And they got Rick and Michone's kid, Rick Jr.
I didn't even, they never even really paid it.
They never really said for sure that she was pregnant.
pregnant before, did they? No.
That really surprised me. It was hinted at, but...
Yeah, it really surprised me, too. Yeah, they hinted that they wanted to start a family or
something like that. But that I think it's as far as they went with it. And then all of a sudden
little Rick's running around. And I think... And when she said on the stairway about your brother,
was she talking about Rick Jr. or Carl? No, she was talking about Carl there, Carl. Yeah.
So we, family-wise, we have Carl, Judith, and Rick Jr.
Is his name Rick Jr.? I think so. Okay.
I don't know. They're calling them that. I don't think they've called him a name yet.
Have they? I mean, a couple of articles have called him Rick Jr., but I don't know that that's true.
So until further notice, he used Rick Jr.
And then we had, I was a little, the scene with Eugene and your girl, Rosita.
Oh, where they were setting up the radio thing?
I don't understand why.
That was another look at the whispers, right?
Those were definitely the whispers.
Because even Eugene said the herd did a U-turn.
Yeah.
So they must have just saw them up there, right?
But why didn't they just stay up?
I don't understand why it was such a big deal to get down from the...
Have you never seen a zombie movie, like ever?
Well, they still had...
No, I haven't.
They'll just stay down there and then wait them out until they die.
But they didn't even know.
I guess with the whispers, they would.
But in real life...
So it's zombies, though.
No, they wouldn't.
Yeah, they would.
No, they would not.
They don't even see you up there.
They're walking along.
They're looking...
Well, that's possible.
That's way they're...
I'll give you.
I'll give you that. That's possible.
It's possible they wouldn't see them.
But I wouldn't.
I wouldn't.
And Rosita was already down there.
I wouldn't.
I think there's another reason why.
I wouldn't leave it up to chance.
I think there's another reason why.
Rosita was already down there and they still had some equipment down there.
They didn't want to lose.
Yeah, that's possible.
I know.
No, I get it.
I get it.
And I understand that it's a show.
And when Eugene, and when the ladder fell here.
Do you?
Do you understand that?
Not really.
This is real freaking life.
Not really.
What about when Eugene?
What about when Eugene?
What do you guys think when Eugene jumped after the ladder fell?
Of course.
I mean,
you have to,
right?
Even if you know you're going to get hurt,
but you have to jump.
And I love the idea that they finally,
you know,
Rosita,
he's ready to give up.
And she,
you know,
she talks them in to keep going,
of course.
And then they,
you know,
cover themselves with mud.
Oh,
but such a good,
that's a very good point.
Like that,
um,
just who Eugene is kind of morphed into.
Yeah.
Also,
because like they showed like he's now a badass.
Right.
He's got the booie knife.
He's taking them out.
Like,
Took out like four of them single-handedly.
I mean, he's a badass night.
He's that big long braid down the back.
Yeah.
We were like, he lost the mullet.
Yeah, I mean, he's part.
He is part of the badass crew now.
And he was ready to give up with the bad way.
To save her.
Yeah.
Specifically to save her.
I was like, yeah.
I mean, it was very hard to redeem Eugene.
Even though he was like, we could tell that he was working an angle and setting up the
saviors.
It was still so hard for me to try.
I guess rewarm back up to that character
because I just spent so long hating him
during that season.
It still is.
Gosh.
I don't know that I have it 100% yet.
Same way.
It's still so difficult.
Yeah.
And then another favorite part is when,
toward the end,
when your new girl.
Magnet.
Comes to the house to give Michelle the knife,
the other knife you missed one.
And her,
in her,
you know,
that was her apology and saying,
you know,
I want to be part of this community.
Um, they show, you know, it's funny seeing the new Judith carrying the Rick's gun.
Rick's cold.
But she's standing on the stairway holding that's a big ass gun for that little girl.
If she ever has to fire that thing, she did fire it up on her ass.
She did fire it, remember?
I don't think we saw her fire it, did we?
No, we never saw it.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Uh, isn't that, isn't that proper real gun?
I mean, probably, but I'm just, but I would say that's a, that's a big ass gun for that little girl, man.
I can't wait till the day we actually.
see her shoot the gun. That will be fun. And then we have, we had
Michelle with the X on her back. What was that supposed to mean? What was that
is that where they pulled the baby out? You know, I don't think it works
that way. So, it isn't the thing, we've seen her. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure. We've seen her,
we've seen her back before. I don't think we ever saw her with that scar. So she might
have gotten that scar during the time jump. Well, I understand that. But I mean,
They didn't address it at all.
They just wanted us to see the X and make it like some big deal.
But they never told us what it was.
And was she wearing Rick's shirt instead of a C-section, maybe it's like a D-section.
That's what I'm saying.
Because these are new times.
Everything but can't be the same.
The old D-section scar.
Yep.
We've all got them.
Now, another thing that I want to comment on a little bit, and this is a little tough for me, too,
is because now we have.
we have the deaf lady.
Yeah, we have the deaf lady in the new group.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we've had the gay people.
We've had the lesbian people.
We've had the wheelchair people.
I mean, AMC.
And she's actually, and the actress is actually...
Making sure you hit all your bases there.
Here's the thing, the actress is actually deaf.
It's not like the actor playing them is playing a gay character.
If she wasn't deaf, we'd have all of there'd be hell to pay.
You know, I mean, first...
In today's world.
It's important because first of, you know, we got,
justice for, you know, Negan.
Now we're going for social justice during the
zombie apocalypse.
Got to make sure we get that.
The only left is a Tranny Walkers, I guess.
Be careful. Be careful.
I thought we already had that with the naked walker.
No, we've had naked walkers, but not Tranny Walkers.
Oh, you know, what's the name of
the gay guy with the beard?
Aaron?
Oh, we saw.
He's got a kid?
Grace you.
Right.
No, wait.
You were?
Huh?
Wait.
You were.
He came up with, he, he, he, that's the kid from the savior.
Remember when they, remember when?
Oh, yeah, you're right.
And he took her as his own daughter, remember?
Okay, yeah, I was like.
Oh, that's right.
I was like so confused.
I was like, oh, she grew.
The physiology different now.
Things are just not working the same as they used to.
They pull kids from women's backs, don't you know?
Things are all different.
Right.
Maybe he's got a de-section mark behind him too.
No, they even talked about, here's the thing.
They even, he, Aaron even talked about her when they were,
were building the bridge, remember?
No, no, you're right.
That's who she is.
You're right.
You're right.
That's who she is.
We're just...
No, you forgot.
We're just teasing about the X on the back.
Yeah, that's not a thing.
Oh, before we go forward also,
what, did I actually hear the
whispers, what we think of the whispers?
Were they actually talking?
Yes.
Okay, good.
But that wasn't the full extended clip that we've already seen,
like the preview of that.
No, we all only...
So I guess that's in the next episode.
No, we only saw...
Probably the very next episode.
No, we only saw where are...
We only heard where are they.
But in this episode, we hear, where are they?
And then we hear another voice, like, whisper, we can't...
Don't let them get away or something like that.
We didn't hear that, though, do we?
Yeah, we did.
Oh, I didn't hear that.
Was that when they were covered with mud?
Yes.
Okay.
Say, it was very, very, it was very lower than what they showed, like, in the preview.
Yeah, they wanted to, they wanted to truly loudened it up saying,
holy crap, what is happening.
But in this show, they wanted to make it like, oh, crap, they're actually whispering like they should be.
My guess is they teased it for this episode, next episode.
They'll make it louder.
Did Eugene and Rosita actually hear them?
I don't know.
Were they trying to, I mean, the couple of times a look on their face seemed like they may have heard.
They must have.
Because they'll go back and say, we heard them talking what's going on.
And Eugene was, you know, he was noted that they made the U-turn.
Yeah.
And then Aaron and his buddies saw them wandering around in a circle.
In the promo.
In the promo, right?
We've ever seen them do that before?
That's right.
I forgot about that.
Yeah.
So, I mean, there's signs of them trying to figure out that we, they aren't just heard.
This is going to be good.
Yeah.
Oh, and they also mentioned the fair that they're going to have.
Yes, the king wants to have the fair.
So, and I haven't read this, but a buddy of mine was telling me that's a very crazy thing happens, like during that fair after the fair.
Which is that.
It has to, right?
That's going to be the season.
I'd recommend, mid-season finale here.
I'd recommend you might want to see.
They are goodbyes to Rosita.
Oh.
Oh, that's right.
And the king.
Yep, right?
Oh, no.
Carol got to go crazy.
No doubt.
And the preacher band will get the new girl.
They're right.
You're right.
I should never have sent you that text.
What did I say, actually?
Oh, because we haven't read anything from the text.
Let me pull up exactly what was said.
Well, he's looking up his text.
Thanks for listening to Talking Walking Dead.
You can always listen.
We do this weekly with Jason and Maximus,
and of course I do the daily chewing the fat
that you can download and you can subscribe
and rate and review all of it.
And look, I know it's difficult.
Sometimes you're busy.
You don't have time to rate and review.
So just make it easy on yourself.
Just subscribe.
When you rate, rate it 20 stars.
Review it best podcast ever.
And then share it with whoever you know.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
Jason.
Okay.
So I watched this on DVR
because I watched Cowboys
utterly annihilate the Eagles last.
night.
Annihilated isn't quite the word I'd used, but...
Squeaked by.
Maybe it's the better way to describe it.
Zeke annihilated him, I'll tell you that.
So, yeah, he did.
He had a really good game.
So I didn't get to this to like 10.30.
So right at 1035, I texted,
Tattoo chick is kind of hot.
Might be my new Jadis.
And then Jeffrey responds to, ha, ha,
I would have bet money.
Bet a million dollars on that.
Do I have, like, a taste?
Do we have a...
Quick question.
Do we have any theories on how Negan will get out?
Because honestly, I don't know right now.
Well, he's still got out of ways yet, right?
He's not going anywhere.
His character now is based out of that cell, at least through this season, right?
No, not through this.
He'll probably get out this season.
They're going to need him.
There's going to be an attack probably from the Whispers,
and then Judith is going to let his butt go, I bet you.
Because, no, what happens?
Because anybody else would get totally smoked for letting him out.
Judith is the only one that can get away with it.
You guys want to know what to happen in the comics at least?
So this kid who didn't like Rick because his parents died due to the whisperers,
he let Negan out and then he knew where the whispers were.
So their main area, so he was like, come on.
Negan knew?
No, no, no, the kid knew.
Oh.
And then he wanted Negan to follow him.
And Negan did this.
And the kid told Negan his whole plan on how he will kill Rick and stuff.
of then even though Rick was there in the comics
and then Niga was like
once they got to the borders of the
whispers he was just like
well okay
and then he's
and here's the thing he told him how
the whispers kill so Negan
stabbed
the kid and killed him
and that was after they just
walked past the borders
so the whispers took the blame
no they didn't take the blame
but the P but when Mishone was out
on patrol she passed by then
and saw the body, and she was just like up, he passed the borders.
Maybe.
So, and then Negan gets actually in contact with the whisperers and then later.
Kind of fits in with Henry's story, maybe a little bit?
Nope, Henry's going to, nope, I think, no, Henry's going to, from what I hear, from what I could see, is going to Hilltop.
Remember, that's, he's taking Carl's story with the blacksmith from what I could see.
But we're talking like, way, a little bit of ways down the line, though, right?
Not really.
Well, I'm talking about, like, when, for when, uh,
Negan would get let out.
There's like there's attacks by the
Whispers and his kids' parents get killed.
Like this is several episodes away, right?
So we're looking at what's what we've got,
we've got a giant battle at the fair.
You know,
everybody's going to be kind of feeling okay
and then something's going to happen.
Traumatic and major.
Right. So,
uh,
the kid,
we know now needs to learn to live another day
and fight battles.
Carol needs to,
if the king dies,
then Carol's going to take him to Hilltop ride
and say you stay here and learn how to make horseshoes,
you little punk.
And make yourself a new sword.
Something to figure out to, you know,
at least learn how to do a trade.
So Henry Lovice,
you're not the prince anymore.
Shut up.
Learn a trade.
And so then it's going to,
it'll be really good.
So the king dies, the mid-season finale, right?
The king dies.
We don't know if he'll die.
He dies in the comics, but we don't know who he'll die in the show.
King, Rosita, who else?
Do you remember?
And the parents of that kid, who let Negan out?
Yeah, so Judith, but you're right, I think in the new plan.
Judith is the only one that can do whatever the hell she wants.
Right?
Judith is Rick Grimes, still living, hanging on her dad's name,
and she's, the governing board isn't going to do anything to Judith.
I mean, that was,
Michaud wanted to get all mad.
And Judith was like,
I said they could come.
She's completely untouchable on the show.
So why don't you just back the hell off
with your little X on your back, Michelle?
No, no, Mom.
She would say Mom.
Yeah, whatever, Mom.
So anyway, I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway, these next two episodes
are looking to be very, very good.
Thanks for listening.
This has been Talking Walking Dead.
See you back here next week.
