Welcome to Talking Fear. Yes, Fear, the Walking Dead, Season 3, Episode 14, El Matadero. Is that how you say it? I don't know. L-M-A-T-A-D-E-R-O. Whatever it was. Last night. Best show ever.

Walking Dead could not start soon enough. Okay, we just had to play that. I had to play the Open for Walking Dead just to get my head straight. I know. I know. All right. Now you mentioned best show ever. Best show ever.

Of any show ever put on TV. Come on. Very disappointing. Very disappointing. Oh, what? Man. You were on the bandwagon last week. What are you talking about?

Now you're back off? Yes, I'm back off. Come on. It's like a Chinese fire drill in the car. You're in your out. Of course. Come on. We have a character that we love.

And it's hot. Not that we necessarily love, but that we don't mind looking at on the show. Yeah. And she's becoming a badass. And we've watched her grow. We've come to know her. We know her family. We want her to be reunited with her dad.

We want to see what happens. What kind of deal they're going to bring to the entire show. Hey, let's kill her. Dude, I thought she was going to step up from Walker. I thought she was going to take his part. You know, but apparently when I heard from I was reoccur, is that she, this was actually her call. She was done with the show.

It's what it sounded like to me. So you said that she wanted to have a kid. Now was the time to do it. And because of the shooting schedule, they couldn't, you know, do their business. Oh, I know. It's so tough to cash those paychecks pregnant. What they did with Walking Dead,

they had once her face pregnant forever. That's right. She still looks like she's pregnant. But anyway, that's the other show, not fear. That's the other show, not fear. Okay, so we get her bit, and of course she dies right at the end just before she meets Daniel. Yeah. Of course she goes home to Daddy.

So apparently that scene, I don't know if we're jumping ahead of ourselves here, but apparently that scene was filmed multiple different ways. Like they did that. I think she said like three or four different versions of that. One where Daniel was like sobbing and, you know, completely breaking down. Okay. And a couple other different ways, but they said that they chose, they wanted Daniel to be a strong character. So they had him do it so that he maintained his strength. Get out of here before I kill you to Madison.

Exactly, yeah. And then he took care of the, he took care of his daughter. Well, was he the one that took care of his wife too? Did he and the wife? I think he did, right? Did he? I don't remember. I don't remember if he took care of the wife because she was sick.

Remember she got her leg hurt or something? They drove around in the pickup truck for a while. Yep. I don't remember. I don't remember either. But yeah. And then she was sick. Did she make it to Mexico?

I don't think she did. No, I don't think so. Uh-uh. Now, she didn't, did she even make it onto the boat? I don't think she even made it under the boat. Or did she? I don't remember. Maybe she died.

Does she die at the, I don't remember. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Daniel's a strong character. Yeah. You didn't need to kill them. So our whole storyline of Daniel and daughter gets shot right to hell.

Can I say what I did like about what I do like what they're doing in the show right now? Oh, boy. Let me just, I got it, I can't bash it all the way through because that's all we're going to be doing in the next few minutes, I'm assuming. So the one thing I do like, and the bar is solo, but the one thing I do like is they are showing the, they're showing walkers more now. It's not just, oh, you know, we're going to ride water, you know, or something. Right.

stupid where the whole time you're just like shut up but at least now they're showing the walkers more well you are yeah you are starting to see them needing to not only figure out a way to survive with other humans but still being able to figure out how to survive with the walkers and that's cool because that's the basis of the show whole point of the show yeah um the uh there was also a a time and we're just going to jump ahead to this whole thing because don't forget now two weeks Yeah. Walking Dead. Thank you.

Jesus. Thank God. Walking Dead. So next week, we have Talking Fear about a double episode. Two hours. To end the season. Every time they do a two hour episode, it's a huge disappointment. So.

How dare you? How dare me? How dare you? I don't, I don't think I'm going to watch this one live. I think I'm going to DVR it and watch it later that night so I can just skip through all the extra commercials and all the crap because I don't think I can handle it watching a lot. That's not a bad idea. Yeah, that way because.

Especially if it goes like the last two hours. I tweet very little live during the talk and during fear because it really isn't a lot to tweet about. And I ripped them. I had one rip about them killing off the character last night. And I thought and then I thought, well, that just makes them mad at me. Yeah. And I got a like, I got a tweet like from the official Walking Dead Twitter account yesterday. Which one?

It was when they. From Walking Dead, not fear? Yeah, from the Walking Dead. Oh, nice. actual one yeah and it was a tweet about their their surprise announcement about the crossover oh the crossover yeah yeah yeah so i just i just said like a what like question more yeah yeah yeah and uh walking emc like that yeah excellent that's good kind of dope nice um yeah who hasn't been retweeted and bunch of like by them anyway the i mean they don't send me personal gifts and stuff like they

I just send people stuff with it. Yeah, just randoms. Yeah, well, how's that going on getting to be a fat Walker on the show? Oh, I'm right there. We filmed that two weeks ago, but I can't talk about it. Oh, yeah, okay. Why do I have to be a fat Walker? I mean, why can't they just green screen me thin?

All right, so we got Walking Dead. And coming up in a couple of weeks, we've got the double episode next week of fear, which should be awesome. And that probably is not a bad idea. to DVR it and then just fast forward through the commercials. Although some of the commercials for Walking Dead will be good. They might have some actual new ones next week for the premiere. I bet they do.

So it might be good. Yeah. Yeah, we saw the crossover, right? They were at Comic Con or whatever in New York. Yeah. The whole Walking Dead crew were there. And Natero teased his crossover character. Wait.

Huh? Right? Someone teased their crossover character? Yeah. that they were going to have a crossover character. Oh, but they just didn't reveal who it was yet. No. Okay, yeah, yeah.

So. Yeah, no, no, no. I'm still glad we're talking about this instead of the actual episode. But so I have, let's theorize. Let's go through this, Jeffie. So, right, so they basically confirmed that they are still way ahead of, and everything I've read. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. The timeline is way ahead.

Right, right, right. So, yeah, like, I read this really thing from Robert Kirkman, where he was talking about how he's like, yeah, I always wanted to see the, you know. I mean, it was Kirkman? But yeah, so he was like, yeah, I always wanted to see the opening stages of the apocalypse.

So he goes, all these characters basically, like Rick and the, I don't think Rick has even woken up yet. Has he? Maybe he has by, maybe he has by,

I think, yeah, but what they confirmed was this is way before in the timeline. Right. So that's kind of dope. We were kind of

trying to figure that out whether he was caught up. Yeah, whether time accelerated or not, but no, apparently not. So I'm really curious because,

so remember, I personally, okay, let me just get out of this way. I think it's going to be Madison. I think it's going to be Madison. Do you agree with that or disagree? It's going to be who?

Madison. Madison? Who's the crossover? He's going to cross over to Walking Dead? I think so. That doesn't mean she's going to be irregular. It could just be like a flashback scene or something like that. Well, you're going in a different direction than what I'm thinking.

Oh, really? I'm thinking that someone from Walking Dead, since Walking Dead is ahead, we have someone in fear because they want to promote fear as the show that people want to watch. Right. People are already going to watch Walking Dead. So they've got to promote fear for the crowds

to get people. So someone from Walking Dead who may be dead now in our timeline is back to life in Fear's timeline because it's earlier than when they met up with Rick. So this is my theory. I think it's just going to be

a small little cameo. I think it's going to be a flashback. And do you remember? So remember when Madison was having her big, like, I grew up in an abusive family and, you know, my father. And then she also says, yeah, so I moved from Alabama to California. Right. Which puts her in the near abroad of Bricking the Gang.

In the neck of the woods. That's SEC country. Right, right. So wouldn't, I was just watch what they're going to do. Watch. Madison comes from the same family as Daryl and Daryl's brother. That group. Oh, that's a good call.

She's going to be directly related to Daryl. And watch, it's going to be some flashback where Daryl's going to be talking and he's going to be like yada, yada, yada. And then they're going to do the flashback. And Madison is going to be like saying goodbye to them or something like that. That's a good call. gave up her promising career as a trash compactor on the West Coast to become boss of garbage world and the scavengers. I'd be in keeping with the fierce general attitude

of what the hell we'll try anything. Who said that? That's funny. That's really funny. It's really funny. It's from, where is this from? Who wrote this article? Alex McLevy.

That's a crack. From Newswire. Really funny. That's a crack up. Good stuff. See, in my opinion, it has to, to be one of the main characters. So it's got to be either Madison or it's got to be Daniel or it's got to be...

See, I would think that it would be... Remember, during the Walking Dead, remember Abraham and the two people that were with Abraham when they first caught up were coming from Dallas and through Louisiana. Yeah, Rosita and Eugene. They picked up somebody was from Dallas. One of those was from Dallas. that hooked up. Rosita, I think, right?

I can remember. Anyway, it's possible. But they came from this neck of the woods, right? So we're closer to where fear is. Yeah.

All right. So I was thinking that maybe we bring back Redhead pre. Redhead. The guy that Abraham, right? Oh, okay, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, Abraham, right? I mean, he got the Negan baseball bat at him, right? Who sealed him, right? That'd be kind of cool. He's a fan favorite. Yeah. Yeah.

And he's still kind of been around, around some of the cons, you know, the comic cons, still making a little play here on the comic cons from now and then. So he's still not completely dismissed from the characters. Right. Well, so I like it. And I would love to see Abraham again in the show. My only reasoning for why I don't think that's going to happen is because I think they have to build up a current main character in fear. They have to give us a reason to love.

like one of the characters. It's going to take more than Madison having a flashback dreamed Alabama for me to like her. But if she's directly related to Daryl, that's kind of bigger. Yes, it is. That right there, just because Daryl's such a huge fan favorite and connecting her to that family. I mean, that's a tremendous call. I agree with you. That's a tremendous call.

And it would make people want, I mean, have to like her. Right. Right. I mean, you have to like her if she's with Daryl. And connecting her to Rick makes no sense to me. No. That's just too much. That's like both.

Daryl's a good call, though. Both main characters, both related in two different shows. No, Daryl's a good call, though. I think Alabama, like, was he from, were they from Alabama? No, I think he was from Georgia. Anyway, they were in the hills of Georgia. Same difference. Because when they found the house with what's, they burned it down and stuff.

Yeah. Remember? That was in the woods of Georgia, I thought. Okay. Well, it's still closer. That's still, I mean. That's Georgia, Alabama. Same difference.

Come on. So, okay. We'll get back to it. Back to this episode. Oh, okay, fine. Don't look at me like that. We had Nick back to doing drugs. God, see, come on.

He seized the painkillers over and snag some. This is one of our biggest complaints. Keep rehashing thrown plot lines. We've already moved on from that. I know. We've already moved on from that. Let's move on. I could not.

He even said in the pickup truck with his lover, hey, that's passed. It's over. You know what I mean? Let's move on. I don't even want to talk about it anymore. And then they brought it right back to it again. That scene of them just going around looking for drugs.

I was like, why am I watching this show? I know. And then they ended up eating some sort of stem cell? No, like, yeah. So basically it's like, that's like the brain stem. Oh, man, did I? Pure adrenaline. Tell me you did not want to do some of that.

It's like, hmm. Tell me you didn't want to take a shot of brain stems. I did Troy, he looked at it for a while. What happened to Troy, man? I know. One of my favorite lines, I think, I don't know if it was on Twitter or if it was a story somewhere that I saw, but it was if, I think it was a tweet. If Troy doesn't want to do something, something's wrong. No kidding.

That's your first clue. I know. I don't get what happened, what happened to him. He was like crazy, like, you know, like, all he's doing crazy stuff. Now he's just like, sidekick. He's a sidekick. He's a wuss. What?

I guess he's come to the, he doesn't have to be a baddest anymore. he's come out of the closet. It's the end of the world. I can be gay now. So how long before they reveal that? Well, I mean, they already did, right? He said, admit it, you stuck around because you were in love with me. Was it, did he say in love?

That's what he said in the truck, yeah, because you love me. Oh, I missed him saying that. Yeah, that's why I was like, that's it. How hilarious. He made the call. So was it, were they joking or was it like a serious? I took it serious, man. He said, he said, admit it.

The reason you stuck around because they were talking about why they were sticking around and what they were doing, and Troy was like, admit it. The reason you stuck around is because you love me. Good gosh. All right, well. The only thing they didn't happen was then they went out and found drugs in the new world where the guy has every drug known to man and then gives them a brainstell for free. For free. Stop it.

Stop. And then, hey, can we shift gears here and talk about something else? You want to get away from the show so bad. No, I'm sticking with it. But it's still these two lovers. So when they run out and they're all high and they just put like a couple of like, it was like war paint. Like a few marks on his face.

Well, Nick said put it on thick, but he didn't put it on thick. But he didn't. I know the whole back was empty. Remember back in the day like in Walking Dead? You had to cope yourself. Rick was draping himself in that, man. And wasn't there a scene when it started raining and a little bit of it came off and then they got found out? Don't start with the facts.

So apparently they had gone way beyond that because now literally all you have to do is Cut two lines of your eyes. That's what happens in the future. The young walkers get confused, so they don't need as much blood. Uh-huh. Okay. See what they did.

Yeah. All right. Yeah, because there's no question. They just went out and I expected a lot more them to cover up a lot more. Because Nick loves that. He loves being covered in blood and smelling like dead body and then just being inside the walkers.

Oh, gosh. Was the last season? You never saw him without it. Yeah. He loves walking with the dead. And it actually might be fun. Right? It might be a little fun for a couple times.

I guess. Yeah, sure. No. No? Okay. I tell you, man. Yeah, I just got, I was, once they, I knew right when he was staring at those pills, once, you know, Ophelius pills.

I was like, oh, my gosh. I was so mad. I wanted, I wanted him to just, what I wanted him to do was fold them up and put them under her pillow or something. So that we saw that it was, we've moved on. Yeah. You know what I mean? We moved on. So has Madison completely just given up on being, you know, like a helicopter parent?

Is she now just doing her own thing? Because she's moving on, right? Like she's moving on to the dam. And Nick and his lover are staying there, I guess, to get to do more drugs. Just to get high. Just to get high. And Alicia. Alicia's with their new girlfriend.

Yeah. With her new girlfriend. See, some of those scenes are kind of cool. Yeah, they were. The restaurant was cool. The Kid Walker. and the little play area thing. That was kind of dope.

Yeah, the Walker was, the restaurant was really cool. Yeah. And it was a good plan. She was smart enough to shut up and stay in the balls. See, some... You can quote me on that. What are we talking about? Just know that she was smart enough to stay at the balls.

Well, Nick and his friend are the stewing the... You can say the same thing. I know. I know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I think that maybe... I think I've come to there. It's never going to happen, but I want Madison to be gone. It's not going to happen.

Especially not if they're... I don't think she want her to be the big star. I don't know. I mean, she is considered the biggest name on the show now? I don't know. As far as like Star Power? Hubby was starting to get the big name. We killed him off.

Right? Daniel was getting a big name before Hubby, and we killed him off, but we didn't kill him off enough to where we couldn't bring him back if we needed to, and we needed to. So we brought him back. And then we killed off Hubby. I wonder if bringing back Daniel was like that was just something they kept in their pocket in case ratings are going down. I believe that.

Pulled the trigger later. I believe that. Yeah, I agree. I believe that. And I honestly believe that if needed, they'll bring back Hubby. Yeah, I totally agree. And I mean, I don't know how the, how long do you keep the crossover character? You might be able to keep the crossover character for a little while.

I mean, maybe they run into a Walking Dead character. and they stay with them for a while until they go, I got to go and get out of here. I got to go east. It's, you know, it's possible. I just don't think, I don't know. I just don't think we're going to, I think we're kind of over-hyping that a little bit.

I seriously think all we're going to see is like a flashback. That's just my own theory. I don't know. Just so we know that they were together at one point, which would lead to your hypothetical of being Madison. Trying to make her more interesting. Trying to make her more. Like what are they going to do?

And she's not. I'm sorry. No, not at all. I'm sorry, she's not. Walker's the one. Let's make him the superstar then. Walker? I guess.

I don't know. See, he's just not even that interesting to me either. He's just so black and white. You know, it's just like, I don't know. I don't know. He's just too black and white. Wow. Do you hate Indians?

Why are you a racist? Wow. Using left tactics on me. I'm screwed. He is kind of dull. I like him, but he is kind of dull as far as that goes. There's just no complexity there. So we've got to hope that we've got to hope that Daniel stays strong

and we get another good character out of the damn people, right? Oh, so this is another, this is a question I had. What the heck did, what's his name? What's his name? Oh, yeah, our boy. Gay African American guy. Yes, our boy. What's his name?

Yes. Anyway, yes, that guy. he uh because he got caught up in the end with somebody right owing money or owing something so he went down looking for that for that dude down in that real shady place that you would probably hang out at you know and we're just walking around looking for stuff a lot of crazy it is like a little brothel slash yeah yeah so anyway uh i kept waiting to see if that was your cameo i was looking i was looking extra hard in the little doorways he passed by i'm in the back cutting up stem cells So, so he promised them something.

He was like something you can't refuse or something like that. He said he wanted to see the main man and they said everybody did and he said, I have something for him. I have information that he wants. So member Daniel warned Madison and said he will screw you over at some point. So did he just screw her over? Probably because he was pissed at her for trading the rifles and stuff in to get into the place, right? Yeah. Saying he was giving up all the bargaining chips.

Yep. Because he always likes to have his little bargaining chip in the back pocket. The question is, what would he have promised? Information about something. So I bet the bad guy doesn't know about the dam or he doesn't know that our man. Why can't I think of a stupid name? I can't. I can think of his damn name.

That's ridiculous. All I can think of is. Strand. Strand. Strand. Strand. What's a strand. Squirrel.

Strand. the um it's got to be something like he knows daniel he can get into the dam something right we can get the water yeah or promise the rest of their guns maybe yeah he's got to do something i don't know but yeah promise something but yeah i'm curious i that should come out next weekend next episode i'm assuming all right listen i we could i've got a list here of five big problems with fear the walking dead which i'm waiting i'm saving until next week on the podcast talking fear because this particular article Five big problems with Fear of the Walking Dead
