Yes, indeed. Welcome to Talking Walking Dead. And I feel much better now that season 8, episode one, has aired. Welcome to it. How are the world are you? Oh, my gosh. After a season of fear without walking dead, it is much better. Madison's going to save everything. But we don't have to talk about Madison. We're here to talk about needs. about Negan and Rick and Walking Dead.

All right. So. Negan would pay to have Madison just removed. Brad Stags. Jason Butrell. I brought along the brain Maximus Fisher today. Hello. He's uh he got the special dispensation from the Pope on high to watch Walking Dead now.

Oh, mom. Yeah. I let it happen. Yeah. Yeah. That's just me. I decided. You know, and Shia went along with my idea.

Yep. All right, so. Keep telling yourself that. What did you think? Yeah, it's everything I wanted it to be, pretty much. It's everything that fear is not. We had a crap ton of action. We had actual walkers.

You know, they were actually shown in a zombie TV show, which was something I completely forgot even existed. Right. There was that big hoard. It was, yeah, the horde was, cool. The whole plan was just really cool. I like the execution of the plan. Should I save what I thought was dumb about the show?

I think you're going to say the same thing I was going to say. Okay. Did it involve shooting out windows for five minutes? That's part of it. All right. I thought it was a good, yeah, it was good to see everybody, obviously, but I had serious questions about what the plan is. Is the plan to go and shoot?

out windows and not shoot Nagan because that's what they did. Right. I don't understand that. He comes out. Right. Why isn't there like a bullseye on his forehead and he's pink? Immediately down. Right.

That happened in the comics too. I was a little confused on that. I don't understand that. Yeah. So what's the, there must be a bigger plan that I'm not smart enough to get. Well, that may be a little bit because they want to try to get the safe years on their side.

I had two. So they don't martyr. So they don't martyr. Okay. That makes sense. Actually, that makes a... That makes total sense. Because that's why Dwight said that we can't just kill him.

We have to have a plan. That makes total sense. Yeah. So, again... Okay. So we got that in. I've had enough of the... And maybe it's just because it's been so long

and all we've seen is the speeches of get ready for war and it's wonderful and it's ours by right. But I had enough of the speeches. I want people dead. And there's only one person needs to be dollars. Especially the garbage pale kids. I want them. They're gone.

They're gone. They're gone. I was surprised they didn't show them at all. They didn't have to say it at all. It's because they're gone. I tell you what, though, Homegirl with the dumb and dumber haircut, she was on talking,

walking dead afterwards. Homegirl was hot. Oh, from the Savior? Right? Oh, yeah. When she showers and does her hair, yeah. I was like, dang. She doesn't even have to do that, Brad.

What do you look? I'm like, turn on my knee. Turn on the knee and the seal light. What do you know? I love the process to come out. It's up top. It's inside. You know how you turn out of light? Ouch.

You're infected. Oh, see, now I've got to be killed somehow. That's a shame. Right. I could chew off my own arm. You do that quick. I'll do that after we're done. Just to make sure I'll have plenty of time.

All right. So, and what was your favorite scene, Maximus? Ooh, probably where the walkers hurted the sanctuary. Yeah. That was a really cool scene. and almost shot for shot in the comics minus a couple panels, but other than that,

it was cool. And it was the first time we've ever really gotten a good look at the sanctuary. Yeah, from above. From above, yeah. We've gotten a great look of it inside and maybe a good, like,

shot of it from outside. Right. So that's like not what I expect at all of how this war was in a play out. I thought it was going to be like they were going to first attack like this outpost, then attack that outpost.

And it's going to be, I didn't expect full on onslaught you know, onto the main, compound. And you knew from how cocky they were being that this was not going to be successful. They were like, oh, this one final battle.

Yeah, Maggie, your last time to fight and we're all done. Well, she said this time. I think she meant. I mean, I don't want to sound like I'm speaking on behalf of Donald Trump. I think that what she was, she didn't mean that it was just one fight. She met this time, right? Because she talked about it being, you know, a battle of

a while. Because she's still presumably pregnant and then you can see it on her like she looks like she's okay can i please explain something but she uh one moment but you can explain it in a moment but i don't think but she was talking about you know while she still could so i think that she meant in a uh in two three months of a fight so she's still in her first trimester according to her which means that everything that we've seen has like most of them in the day yeah yeah so she's on our first trimester but little ass kicker is like what 14 years old right the cure is yeah oh accelerates growth apparently what about the old man rick scenes the old man rick flash forwards yeah those are good with weird out yeah with the weird

al yakovick another one rides the bus in the background that was strange wasn't it yeah i wondered about that. How many timelines were they showing there? I couldn't... Like four. I couldn't tell. So there was that there was that way into the future. Then there's everything that was going on. Red-eyed, blurry-eyed, Rick. And then there was, what was the one where he's crying?

And there was like a stained glass like thing above his head? I don't know. What was going on there? I don't know. That I don't know. Was it a flash forward, a flash back, a flash sideways? I have no idea. Something bad must happen at that point. Yes. One of my favorite tweets from the last night was wait a whole damn minute

Oh which one where he left the food No no well yes but they That particular scene prior to that In the beginning where in the beginning Where Carl is walking around And he's looking under in the car and he sees for the walkers. That's almost shot for shot like what Rick did in the first episode.

Oh, that's right. They tweet, AMC tweeted out like a side-by-side comparison of that like a couple weeks ago. And it's uncanny. It's exactly the same. That's because they planned it. The Walker. Yeah.

Even the Walker. There's this part where like, like, when Rick is like walking down a little hill and he reaches for his gun and then he pulled his hand back, Carl did the exact same thing. I mean, it was frame by frame exactly the same. I mean, it's the 100th episode, so. That it is. Well, and it's showing that Carl has some hope.

I guess he's just. Oh, yes, he most definitely does. That's what he wants hope bad. Yes. I mean, that's his whole deal of being nice to people and not running them all off. But then Rick just blows the guy away. He doesn't kill him. He shot above his head.

He made his point. I shot above his head. I shot above his head. If he's not one of them, I hope he makes it. Right. Yeah. Well, it's young dog versus old dog. Right.

Carl becomes awesome later, especially in the comics. If they follow the comics. Yeah, they might not. Yeah. I became Team Carl last season when he, like, stole it away on that truck. Oh, that was awesome. And then just starting having, how many saviors they take out? Took like three or four savers up with a machine gun.

Yeah, that was awesome. And then Negan's just like. You are adorable. Did that happen, Max, in the comics? Yes, that episode, I've seen clips, was almost frame for frame from panels. Wow. And the... If, again, they go by the comics, Rick did not lose his hand.

Or no, Rick did lose his hand. Rick already has lost it. Rick, the governor was the one who cut off Rick's hand. Okay. So if they haven't cut Rick's hand off now, They're not going to. And didn't, what's his name, created the series? Kirkman.

He said it. He said that was his biggest mistake. He said one of his biggest mistakes was cutting off Rick's hand. Because it was so difficult to get in for Rick to get anything done. Yeah. Yeah. I bet Rick thinks it's a mistake too. Absolutely.

Full agree with there. What did you think of the old man Rick beard that he will have later in the series? Because that looked exactly like Old Man Rick in the comics. I thought it was a little too Why do we need to worry about that? Plus, I'm really tired of, okay, before we start ripping it. It wasn't a bad episode.

This isn't fear of the walking day. This is the walking day. That's correct. That's correct. It does not fear. Thank God. The, you know, it was nice to have at least the team together for a period of time.

Oh, that's a good line. No, no, it was, I remember it. It was, go back and separate wheat and crap like go or whatever the hell you guys do and uh so i mean that was that was good but when gregory came out of the sanctuary he's such a war i know that was almost panel for panel from the comics too it was where nighan brings out gregory he's just such a warm you just wanted to see him get taking it right in the forehead too you do just you know him you want to know how he

dies no jaden jadis jadis whatever name is needs to go. I want them all dead. Been a big fireball. Yes, I want them all dead. Here's how Jeffie wants him to die. No, not her. Her.

How Jeffie wants Jadis to die. He wants Rick to hang her from her toes. Kill her. Make sure he doesn't hurt the brain. Make sure he turns and then kill her again. Yes. Wow. Is this what happens at the Fisher household?

Everyone would have a great move. Yes. Come on. that fell right in line with not killing any of them. Well, excuse me, the lookout. Okay, so look. Yeah, we did kill the other. That goes right into my complaints on this episode.

That's the only really thing. Like, there was all the look at, there was body, like, so from the season opener of last season, we want to see Savior's bodies on the ground. Yes. We want revenge. Yeah. So, and we basically got that from the first half. Like, all the setup was cool. The planning was like a special ops plan, you know, it was cool.

But it reminded me when they actually. did that assault on that first outpost. That was dope scene. Yes, it was. It was great. That's what this reminded me of. But didn't Rick say the only one who has to die is Negan? Yes. Yes, he did. He said only one person has to die and I will kill him myself.

Which doesn't make any sense. And then they went and killed the five lookouts and didn't kill me. Yeah. I don't know. Did they kill all the five lookouts? Yeah. Well, the one you didn't see, the one Darrell pulled him out of frame. No, Dwight's still alive, right? Well, Dwight's with them. Yeah, but I mean, the lookout. I'm talking about his right-hand man up on the...

None of them. Just all the lookouts. Because your hot girl didn't die. Yeah. Right? She's still alive. I guess. I don't know.

All right What about Carol? Carol was okay This episode She's still Not much, though, right? No, not much at all. That's kind of odd.

Yeah. She just, we're going to see her at the, they got screwed up at the one outpost that they broke into, right? Where they blew up the walker room. They were waiting for them at the walker room. But they did get to kill the little bit of the traveling willberries from the sanctuary. By the way, only one of them is alive now. I know. Wait, who?

And he won't be alive. Traveling Wilburys. Traveling Wilburys. Roy Orbison, dead George Harrison dead Tom Petty, dead Jeff Lynn's the last one Dead did you only one alive

Cover under that metal In that metal And then Rick was shooting him And then Gabriel stopped Rick was shooting the dumpster He wasn't shooting It wasn't a dumpster It was like a piece of the truck

That blew up So why? Okay, so they He, but Rick was almost trying to kill him And that's the father Gabriel Was trying to get him Not to kill him Yeah

Hmm Yeah why Oh wait a minute What are you trying to say there? I'm just saying that Rick was losing control. He was about to just snap. Yeah. And Father Gabriel pulled him out of it.

Yeah, saying it wasn't about him. Right. You know, tried to get it back into it wasn't about him because they're trying to pull the hole. It's not about you. It's about all of us. Shut up. Are you going to make me count?

I get it, though. That was when the horde was showing up and he was staying. Yeah, oh yeah, they need to get out of there. No question. Yes. And Gabriel saved him from that. No question. And now he's now what happens because he's got his, you know, he's hopefully he has his crapp of pants on.

So, hey, so can I get, so this is, this is what annoyed me about it. So we know that there was gunfire being exchanged. We know that somehow Negan got shot, but he went back inside the facility. You never saw him fighting or nothing. He didn't get necessarily shot. He got injured somehow. Look like he got injured jumping off the platform or whatever. Yeah, he's no spring chicken.

He probably just tripped over. But my point is we never saw any of them fighting. Can't take those jumps like that anymore. Believe me. I tried. But anyway, so all we saw is Negan and his lieutenants run back into the building.

Yeah. And that was it. That's it. And then all of a sudden, you see Negan at the end limping around. There was no... In between all that time, they were just shooting out the windows.

Which was, I guess, to attract the hoard. And my guess is... Yes. That was the only reason that they really just... They did more than they needed to do that. And another reason I think they might have shot out the windows is because when they come back,

the windows would be gone. So if they try to use the windows as cover, it won't work. Yeah, trouble is those windows are like second story windows and there's no floor in front of them, I don't think. Is there? Maybe. Well, yeah, there's the walking platform that they all walked around inside where Negan.

Oh, that's right. That's right. All hail Negan. So was that the entire point of that, that assault was not to enter the building? Like, I was expecting them to move in and start tearing some crap up. Yeah, that was the, actually that was the point of the assault. in the comics, too. They wanted to barricade them in with the walkers and then try to attack them again.

Okay, so they said that in the comics? Yes. So why did they give that context? I know. They should have. Well, they didn't say it in the comics. You just figure it out, and I think they say it later. Well, we're not as smart as you.

That's evident. We want them to tell us what they're doing. That's the point. We like subtitles. But you could have watched it with subtitles? Well, you know. Who says we didn't? The older you get, the more you want to be.

spoon fed. So we've got everyone is alive in our group even Gabriel so far. So far. He survives this in the comics. More people, right. See now more people want Negan dead.

And I don't. I don't want him dead at all. He's too much. He's too fun. Yeah. He'll be. He hasn't even gotten his backstory yet. I know enough of them. Yeah. We know. enough about them. School gym teacher.

We don't need to, yeah, we don't need to know. And do we know that from the, from the Walking Dead series, though? No, I know that from the comics. Right. Yeah, everyone knows his backstory, but only the, nobody knows it from the Walking Dead. They haven't done it on the Walking Dead yet. But anybody who hasn't Googled it to find out. Still not the show, though.

Right. And, you know, they're a big thing last night. You know, they're the one guy. Gimple, right? Is one of the executive producers? Scott Gimple. He's going to fear. That's who it was.

That's who was. Gimple. I was just talking about that. I know. Relax. I got it. You got him all wound up because you let him watch an episode. I didn't.

I mean, I did. I did. Wait, how long has Gimple been there? Gimple's been there for a long time. A long time. And he even said on the show that follows Walking Dead that he was just going over to help. Pull him out of a breath. Right.

He's going over to help. Just going over to help. Yeah. Now that we've lost all of our sponsors and millions of dollars and revenue. It is amazing that has held on for what, four seasons now? I think three. Even three seasons is amazing. Sure is.

That's for sure. Wow, there's only three dudes that watch the show and they do a podcast every week like dumb idiots. Maybe we should start reaching out to do something to get more people to watch this thing. Right now it's four. The people that listen to the podcast just listen because all they do is rip it. Then we should all do something they could talk about. I don't know. All right, so.

We should do, like, a mystery science theater for that, for the next season of fear. So we should just sit in front of it and make fun of it the entire time. That would be a whole lot funner than the actual podcast. I'm okay with that. That would be dope. Sure. We could do that on a Facebook live. We sure can do that.

They can't pull the plug on us or that. Was there Jason's idea? How about the line that Rick gave Maggie right before they left for the fight after this? We're following you. Yeah. Yeah.

Whatever. Come on. It's still, it's about Rick. Does he really think that a woman can be in charge? Come on. Right? I said that just exactly the way you want to be to.

That is holy. I actually said out loud. We stop forcing this love affair. Yes. That's the way Rick and be shown down my throat. I don't buy it. I actually said, oh, when I said, there's no chemistry at all. There are some people.

There are some people who actually love the relationship. I've seen that. Those people are dumb. clearly. And they don't watch the show. I can't take it. There's no, there's zero chemistry. If there was something there,

even seeing them after, on the show that comes on after the Walking Dead. I don't remember the name of it. Yeah. You know, it's a worthless show. Yeah, right. You're speaking to that. Before I go back to beating up Michoen and Rick,

I see that before, walking dead. AMC steals our idea of doing a whole recap from the beginning show of all the of every season. Did you guys watch that?

Yeah, yeah, we did. What was the extra scene? That's the only thing I was curious about. Oh, from the last, the final, no, that was something else. That was something else. They aired the final, the last show with an extra scene, which I didn't see what the scene was. We recorded

it, so if we want to watch it. Yeah, but the But during the day they ran a thing. The journey so far. Thank you. And it was exactly what we did. Only, you know, exactly what we did here on this broadcast, Talking Walking Dead. Except they had the actors. Your wealth.

And the producers. I mean, and the actual script. What, I mean, you know. There is my call. Yeah. No, please don't. We almost got some people to call in. We were close.

We were so. We almost had phone calls. We were minutes away. Right. Minutes. Everybody, even you, Mr. Bradb is, I know that guy. I'll get him to call. They're all colluding to not call us.

I'm just tired of it. I would buy him and Jesus more than I buy. You know, and the way he and. Gimple were holding hands at that program after walking down last night. That's very possible. Yeah, you never know. Do we know? What, that Andrew Lincoln is gay? Yeah, is he? No, he is married and he has a wife and kids.

That makes me very happy. It doesn't mean he's not gay. No, he could be having an affair with Gimple the way they were holding hands, but I'm okay with that. I don't mind that. I just didn't want him, I didn't want him full-blown gay. Here's the thing. I'm okay if he's married and has an affair with the guy. That's okay. Michone is in the comics, but in the comics, Rick got with Andrea

who survived in the comics. Right. And I would be almost willing to have Rick. I wish they would have saved. I'm really disappointed that they didn't keep the woman he was in love with from Alexandria. The one who kids got killed and then she got killed. Yeah, but then we would have had to put up with that kid.

No, the kid we'd kill off the kids. The kids die, both of them. I couldn't take the kids. Yeah, they were just... The little kid had to die with the hoard because he was such a wimp. Carl had to kill the older kid. And then Rick killed the husband. So the family could, they could have killed off everyone but her. Carlding killed the older killed. And she would have been had with, is this my story? But Carl didn't kill the older kid. That was

my show. This is my story. The older kid was the one who shot out Carl's eye. Wow. I know that. No, you know what they say. I'm telling you that it's my story that what I wanted to happen. You know what they say about sayback. I am. I'm just correcting your statement. The acorn is correct. The acorn never fall. I'm telling you. what I want to happen, not what happened. You can't correct something that didn't happen because I'm just making it up. But that Carl will... Why is his microphone still up?

I asked for it to be shut off. All right, so what happens in the future? Where are we headed? Oh, man. Well, they're definitely... I think that they were overconfident in this one. I think that you'll get the exact same thing from the Saviors. So you're going to get an overconfident, probably devastating attack by the Saviors.

I think that's coming up in the very near future. Are we headed? So, yeah. Not what happened. Don't tell me, don't tell me the comic books. Don't tell me what happened in the comic books. Tell me what you think is going to happen on the television program. What I think is going to happen is.

I don't need a dissertation. You're talking like a politician now. Repeat the question. It gives you time to think about the answer. The Saviors are. are probably going to attack out Janria right after they're done getting surrounded by the horde right that's my that's my idea and so more war more about yeah especially because one scene is you think you think that there's going to be more war what what leads you to think that well because the

comic series is all out war and they named this entire park or i mean they didn't name the episode this but they called it it all out war yeah the season i'm going to have to go with you on that yeah My episode was mercy. There's more war coming. And that's, yes, mercy was they didn't, they shut out the windows. No mercy on glass, but mercy on people. I think the question is, what's the devastating event that's going to happen? There's going to be something devastating.

Oh, yeah, we'll lose. We'll lose Father Gabriel. See, that's not. Well, even if we lose him, that's not enough. I don't think we will because he survives this in the comics. I mean, if they follow it. Because, well, he's just starting to come around. Can we lose Maggie?

I don't think so. No, there's no way we're losing matter. I would say a community. I would say a community will get wiped off the middle. Oh, man. If we could just get rid of the garbage pill kids. We can get rid of the scavengers. But that's not devastating.
