Welcome to Talking, Walking Dead. And of course, we're talking about the Walking Dead. Hello, season eight, episode four, some guy. Wow. Wow, is all I have to say about this episode. There's a number of inside trains of thoughts that we need to talk about. But first, we need to, you know, get in the mood. All right now, Bradstags.

And, of course, I brought the brain, Maximus Fisher today. Some days I can't go anywhere without it. The encyclopedia. It just tags along. Right? All right. So, wow. Season 8, episode 4, some guy.

Some guy. Just some guy. That's kind of deep. That is deep. Some guy. That's his state of mind. Yeah. And of course, referring to King Ezekiel.

Who's, I'm a word of losing it. First, before we get to his own little struggle, because he was all happy. Remember, we knew he was driving his herd into a massacre. Right. And he was all happy with not one person, not one person, yay. And it's all, it's all good. We will lose not one of our ranks. Right.

And he was all happy with Carol, not one. And they're all gone, right? Yeah. With the exception of Jerry. And Carol. And Carol. Yeah. And Carol was great.

Oh, she was awesome. She was great. And she came back to save him. Yep. She pulled him out of that. She had that decision to make. I know. Save the guns.

Save the guys. I know. And that was a tough decision. I still think she could have gone over, wasted the two guys at the front of the Jeep. And saved them. And then in turn. One of the things that the king and Jerry need to understand is when a herd is coming,

you walk to the herd. Because if you let the herd come to you, then you're backed up against that fence already. Well, that's true. You're backed up against the fence already, and you're already struggling to get around. But if you get out there, at least you've got some ground.

to move a little bit. But the king was struggling not only with a physical injury. With mental. But a mental injury. He was more mentally crippled than he was physically. Well, not then. I mean, he was getting there, but he wasn't as bad as he was once they left. And on top of which,

my favorite tweet was my favorite tweet of the night was the hell that chain made of. I know, right? The hell that chain made of? Yeah. What do you call the accent? Jerry's is that just an axe? It's just a battle accent. Battle accent. It's just a battle accent. It'll split a human being right down the middle.

But it won't cut open a chain. Which I guess there's something to be said for that, but Jim, me. Yes, I agree. That thing, he beat the snod out of that chain. My favorite. And then the acts broke. Yes. Yeah, you better get a bet.

Should use hickory for the axe handle next time. Yeah, always. Yeah. Always. Okay, so we've got, we've got, then it was great because Carol realized that Rick and Darrell will take care of the guns. Yes. Which was awesome. Well, that's okay she heard the motorcycle, right? Yeah, and well, once she, and she knew which way they were going. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that was good.

So we go back and save the king and Jerry because it was nice to, nice to have Jerry still make it. Yes. Oh my gosh. Jerry's a fan favorite now, right? We could not have lost. Can't kill Jerry. No, we couldn't have lost Jerry and the others too. No way. Oh my gosh. If we lost Jerry, we riot. Yeah, and I know Jason isn't here today. He's sick with grief, as a matter of fact. But he was, I think that was one of his last statements last week. If we were Jerry, I'm out. Well, and I was reading a couple of reviews.

They say that the ratings are starting to tank. Really? That's what they're saying. I don't know that I believe them. Tank is the right word. There's still over double-digit millions, right? I mean, that's not tanking. These are just naysairs.

Sorry, that's not tanking. These are people who just don't get it. Now, I will say that it has been, you know, let's move on. Okay, let's go. Let's get back. I mean, we've battled this group enough. We didn't need three episodes of this? Everything that happened is.

All-Out War. Yes. How many comic book, excuse me, graphic novel issues did it take for the All-Out War? There is the prelude to All Out War, and then there is the All Out War trilogy, which is three issues. All right. However. Four. However, those issues are spanneded over all this.

Spanded? Yes, spanned. That's what you wear. And besides. My clothes are spanned. I'll tell you that. There's a difference between a comic book and a show, because the comic book, you're just reading. It's graphic novel, Max.

It's not comic book. A novel. Almost same thing. Anyway. You're flipping through the pages. You read and you're like, fine. But in the show, it takes time for them to film it, and it does take time for them.

Are you sticking up for them? Wow. Yes. I mean, are you on their payroll? No. Because if you are, I need some cash. Well, the bottom line is this. It took at least four issues and three episodes.

So we're not that far off. Yeah, no, we're not. No, we're not. And so we came to the end. And you knew sooner or later that the king was going to have to struggle with being the king. It's easy to be the king or some guy playing the king when you're not at war. And that was Jason's argument with, you know, if you've gone that far, you don't need the guy giving you the king speech.

Right. You know, more battle. But that entire, you know, the whole area of what's the king's place called again? The sanctuary. No, no, no. The kingdom? The kingdom. Kingdom, was, they had not fought, right?

They really, really had fought. They had given in to the sanctuary and Negan and said, just leave us be, we want to live, and we'll provide, we'll give you what you need, and just leave us along. Yes. They're not as bad as Hilltop, but, no, at least Hilltop with some fighters. No, yeah, Hilltop still had some fighters. They were just beaten down. Yeah, true. There wasn't enough of them, and they were just beaten down, and they were like, okay, we'll put up with what's his face from neat, from, from, you know.

Negan's group and we'll do what we can for them but if we can ever get our breath back we're gonna kill him yeah yeah but now the king has all of this on his shoulders yeah he's got the death of everybody including Shiva including the zeros and ohs well she was zeros and ones that made up the tiger sheva saved his life though yes the digital the digital tiger that didn't exist which was and here's why i say that because who is it tweeted that night, I cannot believe that I'm shedding tears over a CGI Tiger. But it was.

It was heartbreaking to watch that tiger jump in there. Even though you knew there wasn't a tiger there. I think they actually brought for a few episodes. They didn't bring a tiger in there. They actually had a tiger on there. Do you know what the insurance would cost on a tiger? Good grief.

You know what's that CGI cost? That's the only thing I thought of while they were killing off Shea. I'm like they're making more money, man. was gone. Yeah. They figured out it's about time. They've knocked off that thing. Yes.

They got rid of like three graphic designers when they got rid of Shiva. And Shiva's death was almost exactly like it was in the comics as well. I still don't understand how like four or five dead people can take a tiger down. But that's just me. Well, in the comics, she actually helped on the first attack on the sanctuary. You saw on episode one. Right. She helped on that attack.

And then when the horror. came in, Ezekiel got stuck, and Shiva helped him, and the horde attacked her. Okay. And that's how she died. But in this mud pit that they were in, I mean, it just seems to me that a tiger would have been able to get out of that. I mean, a tiger's got sharp claws. Yeah, but there was quite a few.

Right. And I guess the argument is that even you slash it a live person, they're going to back up. And stop. And these things don't. They just keep coming. Yeah. Okay. So, all right.

The walking dead continue. Right. They keep on. Yes. Yes. They do. Yeah. Her death was exactly the same, just a different place.

Right. All right. So now we've got, and my, watching the recap of last week, before this week's episode, watching Darrell kill the guy that Rick said, you know,

just come out. A man's word's got to be worth something, right, and they'll just shoot. So that was really brought back, I think, where you, Rick really had the great look on his face. Yes, he did. there's he yeah he there's something there's just like really something yeah the look on his face was

price right and and i think that see darrell and morgan put themselves out there in that mental state now that we and there's no right i mean there's no messing around right i mean this is it who we want to do it let's do it screw you you're all going to die yeah and now rick is you know he sees the little baby and he's struggling with a little bit. But that's good. I mean, the thing is it's good because there's some humanity there. Because otherwise, if there's no humanity, then what good is? I mean, we're just going on to kill people.

I know. That's what I like. But from a societal standpoint, you've got to have them want to be good. You've got to have them, you've got to, there has to be some piece of humanity within. Yeah, but not there is more. This first round of battle, the first round of battle last week, those people need to all die, period. I don't disagree.

They're the battle-weary men of Negan. The Vanguard. They're doing Negan's work. They die. Oh, look. Yeah, look who joins us. It's Jason. That's Cal.

Hi, Cal. How's it going? Cal. What did you think of this? Look, no problem. Listen, we just, you know, we just throw this thing together. We don't need to be on time. Whatever.

It's nice to you to stop. No problem. So we've given a. our thoughts of this last episode. Give us a recap. You're filling in for Jason. Give us a recap, a quick recap of this week's episode of Some Guy. And why you think your opinion's worthy.

Well, it was... Prove why you're here. It was all about, you know, Ezekiel falling from grace, and, you know, you see where his background is, and he lost all his people, and, you know, he lost his tiger, and he becomes, you know, the real guy, you know, you find out the persona's all fake. You already knew that. Well, we knew that.

Well, we know that because we, you know, Come on, Cal. We read the... They haven't gotten really into detail. They sure have with Carol. But not really. Like, about the whole, like, you know, they didn't really go into detail

about where he comes from. And they talked about it. But I think this episode, you really got a glimpse of, you know, him and the king has died now, basically. Now he's just him. Oh, yeah, the walk back into...

The walk back into the kingdom was just... He's not really the king anymore. You know that? What's going on? Yep, they all die. Yeah. Is that what he said? No.

No, he didn't say a word. He didn't say anything. He just patted the little kid. He touched a kid on the shoulder. Yeah. And the kid was like, you killed my dad, you bastard. Where's mommy?

Yeah. I mean, I think that kid was a great shot. It was a great shot of him limping back to his living quarters. What did you guys think of Gunther? Who's Gunther? He's that savior. He's the savior with the glasses. Oh, Jeffrey Dahmer.

Yeah, they actually, on Talking Dead or that show after walking dead. Thank you. The show I'd mention that we did not speak out. Edit that part out. They actually revealed his name to be Gunther, but they still called him Jeffrey Dahmer. Yes. He did look frighteningly like Jeffrey Dahmer. I mean, he saw his shot, right?

He saw his shot of, hey, we're going, this is my chance to be Neegan and to also shine for Negan. Yeah. And he thought he was going to take it. He didn't work out so well for him. No, it didn't. He would have been smarter to just kill the king and take that. head. Why is every savior like a sadistic, you know? Because that's who's left.

Those are the people that were drawn there or the people. It's kind of like the... And the only nice people in the same... I shouldn't draw that very like. The only nice people in the sanctuary are the workers. Right. Yeah, the battle. I guess if you go out on you battle, you've got to be a sick twist. Yeah. And plus you're working for Negan, right? I mean, you've got to be the, you've got to be the one who loves to watch Negan put the hot iron on the guy's face. Yes. Or you got to say... I mean, Dwight doesn't. Dwight doesn't. But he's with them.

But he did it first. But he switched sides. He did it first, and then he tried to run away. He chose. Dwight's the type of guy who, you know, he had his wife, and it was like about survival. It's the birds of a feather. It's the birds of a feather.

You know, I put that question to you, like if you were in the same situation, you guys, would you join the Saviors just to survive? Are they so heinous that you would rather, you know, either die on your own or try to find someone? Well, as we covered, when I was filling in for Doc on the morning show, you should ask that question to my wife because she will have already killed me by that time. I'm already.

You'd have been to dinner. Yeah, I'm already dead. She's like, you're dragging us down. I might have objected to that, but. Thank you, son, for that. I appreciate it. I know. That is so sweet.

Do we get a hug? Wait, no, don't feel bad. Oh, mom. Okay, well, go ahead. And I did like that we finally get a little look at what might happen to Father Gabriel. next week. We still don't know. I still stop. Stop. Stop. With those previews and I've watched a couple of them now. Same here. We do not know if he is, I believe that it still is teasing us that he's the one of the one of the, uh, saviors. You think

they're going to start playing slap and tickle? You think Gabriel becomes a savior? He already is. He's one of the, he's the guy that sold him out. I'm going to have to go back and look at those trailers. You're talking from the original double cross with those weird people. And the battle coming into the sanctuary. So you've completely given up on the Edd thing. Jeffrey first thought it was what's the little girl's name? No, she still is. You think she's a double.

Absolutely. There's no question. I think Negan has both of them. I think Negan is using both of them. I don't think so. I would rather have Enid than Gabriel. I'm a little on the fence about the Enid Trader thing. but I am 100% on the side.

So what do you think is going to happen, Brad? What do you think is going to happen? Where are we headed? I'm going right now to go watch those trailers because now I'm torn. Now I'm conflicted about Fadogadio. Because I thought there for a second that Negan was saying, all right,

now I'm going back and forth. Man, I hate it when you make me think of. No. I'm a little on the fence about Enid, but I 100% do not agree with you about Father Gabriel. I do not believe he's the traitor. Okay. All right.

I'm just telling you that with the trailers, it still leaves the possibility there. Barely. It doesn't say that. She's been way too close to Maggie this whole time. Oh, no. She sold Maggie down the river. Oh, man. She's still feeling bad.

Just the look on her face when, uh, what's his face came back to the, came back to the, yeah, when he came back in the look on her face, She was standing there, but I'm telling you, she is it, man. She is. I don't know anything. All I know about her is what we've seen in the show because she's not in the comics. Right.

But I'm telling you, she is the little sneak. There's no question. Plus, we've got yesterday, on the morning blaze, we talked to Theodas Crane, who was in season three. A big tiny one else. And we got some breaking news from him, which was kind of fascinating. we need to look into of the number of people that have been arrested in Georgia. Yeah, cast members in Georgia that have been arrested because of, you know, boredom.

Their lifestyle. They're in the middle of, what, a town outside of Georgia. It's probably not much to do. They live there. Sorry, Atlanta. They live there after they film. What do you do? You go get in some trouble.

What are they doing? That's why Darrell just opened up the restaurant, right? I'm just going to be here. Just leave me alone. I can get drunk here. Greg Nicotero and Daryl. Yeah, open up the restaurant. Open up restaurant, Nick and Normans.

Yes. And that's why they did it, so they could probably just get drunk there. Is it just a regular restaurant? Is it like Walking Dead themed or something? It's got Walking Dead stuff around. It's a pretty good... The town is actually surviving because of them.

Really? You know, because during... When they're not filming there, you can go there and tour and see the sets and eat, you know, be a part of it. And then they take it over. You know, it's there. Right.

Yeah. We love you, but Zartout now. Which surprises me that they would go get arrested outside. You know what I mean? Well, I mean, you're not going to get arrested in Atlanta. So what were they doing? Well, we just know that there's been a couple of things that were problems. And Herschel was the one that Theodas Crane mentioned.

The actor who played Herschel got arrested? Yeah, outside doing something. I'm going to guess like public intoxication. Yeah, it could also be, look, it could also be that. Georgia State Troopers, I've had a couple of run-ins with Georgia Strait troopers. You know. I know. I know.

It's a surprise. But they always are perceived and rightly so, not always the nicest guys. They're a bit... If you're a Georgia State trooper, I know. I love you, okay? I love you. But you know, as well as I do, that when you pull someone over her, You play up the fact that you're a Georgia State Trooper.

You can quote me on that, okay? All right, so next week, episode five, we'll see if I'm correct. Which I hope you're not. Do you think they'll reveal who's a traitor? I think we're going to find out if the father is. Absolutely. Okay, other than that, do we have any predictions

on what's going to happen next episode other than the Father Gabriel incident? Well, we're going to see, right, we've got Negan hanging out chatting with Father Gabriel. We've got all the lieutenants. They've been to that trailer this whole time, right? What's that? Negan and Gabriel are in that trailer. They haven't come out yet. Yeah, this is all happening at the same time.

It is only a short period of span of time. But we also have All his lieutenants. Yeah, the lieutenants are going to be fighting and they're going to try to what's his face to believe? I'm pretty sure he thinks that our man. What do you think? Yeah, I saw that. I sold it out. You just can't prove it.

Who's all that. Simon. Simon thinks Dwight sold them. Because he said in that one trailer, he said, someone in this room is responsible for what happened out there. And then he looked at Dwight. Right. And so I just, he can't prove it. True.

Right, he can't prove it. I mean, the lie to let him. The lieutenants, if I remember correctly, are Simon, Barat, Gavin, Dwight, and Eugene. Okay. What do you think that would have with Eugene? He's still there. I know he's there, but, you know, the Alexandrians hate him now. I know, they sure do.

You know, and he's a traitor. Pretty much. He's perceived that way. He will have to do something really huge to win them back. Yeah. To win Rick back. Absolutely. He will have to do something really huge to say, Rick, I did this for us.

He's not the type of guy to do that. I know. I know. And Rick won't play with him. No. And I've said that whole, the whole time was great. Rick, I know who you are. Yeah.

Shut your mouth. And then. One thing about, one thing, I've said this before on air about the comics, Negan did capture Eugene. But when he took, when he offered Eugene the offer of, hey, join the Saviors. In the comics, Eugene declined and he said, I'm not a coward anymore. Yeah. Right.

So, I mean, they've changed it around on television, which again, that's fine. But we still have to think about what's going to happen now. Yeah. Right. I mean, he, to come back to Alexandria and. Rick, it will have to be something huge. I guarantee if he ever comes back to Alexandria, first person who walks up to slug him in the face is going to be Rosita.
