Blaze Radio Network And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher I go into Walmart on Saturday morning I don't know, it was like, I don't know, 9 o'clock in the morning, 8.39 o'clock, I've got to grab a couple of things
Starting point is 00:00:43 and I'm out running around weird, I know. And I walk in and it's like the lights are low and it's quiet and there's no, there's just, it's weird looking. It's almost like the store is not open. And I'm like, are you guys open? Oh yes, it's our quiet. time. We do this on Saturday mornings. I didn't know that. So, I mean, obviously I have to look it up.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Well, it started where during the hours between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturdays, stores nationwide, replaced moving pictures on screens with static images, and a number of locations turn off the music and lower the overhead lights to create an environment more friendly to those with autism and other disabilities. It's a sensory-friendly store hours. So they wanted to get ready for parents to get back to school. It started. They rolled out mid-July. And apparently it's going to end at the end of this month in August.
Starting point is 00:01:45 I guess they should just keep it going. If you want to be sensory-friendly, then just do it every Saturday and make it part of your deal. I know it's part of your more inclusive neurodivergent customers. Okay. I know. I want to make fun of it, but I can't. Because I get it. Okay. So you don't want all the lights and the music and the machines going. You know, you want a quiet time down just a little bit. So I guess Target has been doing this. They have their sensory-friendly hours during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Let's just do it. This is our day. Saturday, make a big deal out of it. If you need to, if it throws you off and you. you need help, then you come in and shop with us Saturday mornings from 8 to 10. We open at 7 and we're part of that deal. That's when we do it. Now, in Canada, I guess stores are doing it as well for their daily sensory-friendly hours from 6 p.m.
Starting point is 00:02:47 to 8 p.m. Now, that seems kind of silly. That's prime time. And I don't know why you would do that prime time. But, okay. So, I mean, it's your store. You do what you want. But it's part of their...
Starting point is 00:03:00 helping people with sensory sensitivities. So just know that if you are someone who has autism or someone in your family with other disabilities, that the overhead lights and the music throws you off and you can't go into the store and you need a sensory-friendly store, Walmart is at least doing that on Saturday mornings. So you can have your quiet time. for your more inclusive neurodivergent customers. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat.
Starting point is 00:03:45 First, it's the rocks in cookies at Trader Joe's and soup at Trader Joe's. And now we have wood chips in Nestle Tull House chocolate chip cookie dough bars. What is happening? So the FDA and Nestle's Toll House have recalled. their toll house chocolate chip cookie dough bars, several customers reporting that they found wood fragments in the dough. Thankfully, those who couldn't resist the allure
Starting point is 00:04:17 of the pre-made cookie dough, the recall is limited to just two batches of Nestle-Tolhaus chocolate chip cookie dough bars and does not apply to any of the company's other products yet. The recalled product comes in the 16.5 ounce package and includes those labeled with, they have given batch number best date of August 23rd.
Starting point is 00:04:37 So if you have the Nestle House chocolate chip cookie dough bars, you may want to double check that to see if yours are the ones that come with wood fragments. Come on, what is happening with our manufacturing plants? Rocks, wood chips, what the hell? So before you get a twig caught in the roof of your mouth, at least if you have the Nestle-Tolhaus chocolate chip cookie dough bars. Take it back or throw it out or go get a replacement, whatever. But let's be careful because nobody, and this is just me speaking now.
Starting point is 00:05:16 My opinion, no one wants a wood twig caught in the roof of their mouth while expecting to enjoy some chocolate chip cookie dough. Well, this should be interesting. Retired NFL player Michael Ower, you know, the guy, the guy, behind the movie The Blind Side. He says that the popular movie in the book
Starting point is 00:05:38 about his adoption by a white couple when he was a teenager in need of a stable home are based on recently discovered a lie. According to a court filing that accuses Sean and Delay
Starting point is 00:05:51 Ann T-U-O-H-Y, I think that's how you pronounce it. I met them once in New York when they were first promoting this movie and the book, I think. But I remember meeting them in our studios in New York
Starting point is 00:06:04 and I'll just leave it at that. They never adopted him and they were cheated. They cheated him out of millions of dollars. Okay. So he alleges that they portrayed the, you know, Sandra Bullock and Tim McGrath portrayed the twoies in the film, had him sign a conservatorship soon after his 18th birthday that he believed
Starting point is 00:06:25 made him a member of their family. Instead, the lawsuit claims his lawyer uncovered the documents and learned that they merely gave the couple the rights to make business deals in his name. He was paid nothing for the Blindside film. The Tewis negotiated a deal that made him and their two bi-made them and their two biological kids, $225,000 each plus 2.5% of the net proceeds from the film, which grossed more than $300 million. Yeah, it was a good movie.
Starting point is 00:06:57 And the contract that Michael, does not remember having explained to him gave 20th Century Fox Studios the rights to his life story with no compensation. His agent on the deal was a good friend of the Tewis who also filed the conservatorship petition.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Wow. So, Tui responded to the allegations the man saying it's upsetting to think that we would make money off any of our children. He says he is, of course, willing to end the conservatorship
Starting point is 00:07:28 and claims he got a share of the moon. movies proper it's equal to the other family members. Okay. Michael also said in this new book, I have not read the book, said that he, the film made people think he was unintelligent and hurt his football career. The story has also been a large source of some of my deepest hurt and pain over the past 14 years.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Boy, I disagree with that. I remember it's been quite some time since I've seen the blind side, but I will say that I did not ever think that he was unintelligent at all. And I don't think, I don't know how that hurt his football career. But that's a, that's a tough prove there, Michael. That's a tough prove. Because you had a pretty good career.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And, you know, I, I don't know how you argue if you, if he had the deepest, you know, a lot of hurt and pain over the last 14 years because of it. But to say that people thought he was unintelligent and it hurt his football career from the movie, As someone who watched the movie and am a football fan, I disagree with that statement. But we'll see. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:08:38 It should be a little bit of fun, and not for them, but for at least some of us who are observing. Hey, did you know that traditional bed sheets can harbor more bacteria than a toilet seat? I did not know that. And when I read that, I was like, wait, what? Yes, traditional bed sheets can harbor more bacteria than a toilet seat. It can lead to acne, allergies, stuffy noses. I am not a fan. I am not a fan of that.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Miracle Made offers a whole line of self-cleaning, eco-friendly bedding, such as sheets, pillowcases, and comforters that prevent 99% of bacteria and require three times less laundry. I'm a fan of all of that. Self-cooling properties for better quality sleep using silver-infused fabrics inspired by NASA. Miracle made sheets are thermoregulating and designed to keep you at a perfect temperature all night long. So you get better sleep every night. As I said, they're infused with silver, and that prevents up to 99.7% of bacterial growth,

Miracle sheets are luxuriously comfortable without the high-priced tag of other luxury brands and feel as nice, if not nicer than bed sheets used by some five-star hotels. And when I read all this, I thought, I have to have my miracle-made sheets. I'm waiting for them to arrive. When they arrive, I will tell you how I feel about them.
Starting point is 00:10:21 But right now, I'm telling you, they stop, you need to stop sleeping on bacteria that clog your pores, causing breakouts and acne. Sleep clean with Miracle. Miracle.com slash jeffy. And don't worry about anybody else.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Just treat yourself. Try miracle.com slash jeffy. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. So last week, we had Paramount found a new buyer for Simon and Schuster. Private equity firm KKR
Starting point is 00:12:17 agreed to buy the publisher for $1.62 billion. dollars. Now, remember less, I don't know, a year ago or so, a federal judge said, no, Simon and Schuster, you can't sell the Penguin Random House for $2.2 billion. There's antitrust grounds. So that deal would financially harm authors. And then after the trial in which, I mean, Stephen Dingleberry King testified against it as well. And rather than appeal, Paramount said, oh, okay, no problem, just find a new buyer. And they did. KK.A. are private equity firm for $1.6.2 billion. Now, I know that's less than $2.2 billion, but that still seems like, you know, a decent payout. And because they decided to search for a new buyer, uh, random house had to pay them $200 million just as a fee because the deal did go through. So they did get an extra $200 million on top of the $1.62 billion. But because of that, now, uh, C, CBS has named a new CEO Wendy McMahon.
Starting point is 00:13:25 So McMahon's prior role as co-president. She's got complete oversight now of CBS News and its stations. Since 2021, McMahon served as co-president as running CBS News and shows like 60 Minutes and face the nation. But she's going to be now president leads CBS and CBS Media Ventures. She's also going to oversee first-run entertainment series like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. And so Kemalani, the guy who was co-president with McMahon, just told employees, yeah, I'm going to leave my current role because I just have a new multi-year first-look deal with CBS, where he's going to develop content such as documentaries, scripted series, and books for Simon and Schuster.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Yeah, you know that new deal? Yeah, with the KKR. Yeah, I want to go do that. So, congratulations to everybody involved there. I'm sure CBS will be better for it. How's the whole strike thing coming? How's that coming? That's going to hurt CBS in their shows.
Starting point is 00:14:38 I'll tell you that. Well, I guess we're in negotiations with the Writers Guild of America. I don't know what's happening with the actors. I don't know if it's like after. going this? I don't know. Apparently we've got reports that the alliance for motion picture
Starting point is 00:14:57 and television producers promised writers that humans, not artificial intelligence, would be credited for screenplays and that writers will get access to data on how many hours viewers spend streaming so they can gauge the popularity of their work.
Starting point is 00:15:13 The offer also includes a pay bump. The two sides are expected to continue discussions this week. Uh-huh. we'll see how that works and I see where CNN is you know the announcement was that they overhauled their lineup they unveiled
Starting point is 00:15:29 the new overhaul Abby Phillips is getting the 10 p.m. Eastern prime time slot Phil Mattingly will co-anchor CNN this morning along with Poppy Harlow and Casey Hunt other changes Laura Coates will anchor the new
Starting point is 00:15:44 11 p.m. Eastern show out of Washington while Pamela Brown will anchor 3 p.m. Eastern Weekday show The Bulletin with Pamela Brown. And you may be asking yourself, who are these people? Me too. Now, they did keep some of the old nightmarish hosts, Victor Blackwell, Chris Wallace, and Christiana Mopore. They moved those to the weekend.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah, we're going to shove them off on Saturday mornings. We can't get rid of them yet, but we want them out the door. But those are the names that people know. I don't know. It doesn't help their lineup. any, but I mean, when you have Abby Phillip at
Starting point is 00:16:24 10 p.m., why even look for anyone else? In other moves, I see where Campbell's Soup is buying Sovost brands. You know, the company behind a roust, the fancy sauce that you can, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:38 I guess, well, fine. But the deal is $2.7 a billion dollars. So Campbell's saying, hey, we're diversifying into a much broader segment of the food market. And their pasta sauces and noosea yogurt is fantastic. And it's a strategic decision to expand our footprint into high growth market leading premium products.
Starting point is 00:17:06 So good for them. Good for them. Campbell's Soup. Congratulations for acquiring that for $2.7 billion. I mean, as long as we're talking business, let's talk about a little bit more. or PayPal has named Intuit's Alex Chris, a C-H-R-I-S as its new president and CEO. He will replace longtime PayPal CEO, Dan Schulman.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Chris will officially join the company in late September. Kraft Heinz announced that it's North America's own president, Carlos Abrams Rivera, will take over as CEO on January 1 of 2024. Current CEO Miguel Patricio. I was going to stay with the company, but as a non-executive chair of the board. That's it, though. I don't really want to work anymore. I just want to be a member of the board and come to a couple of meetings every year and make some money.
Starting point is 00:18:00 So can we make that happen? Sure, we could give the job to Carlos. Okay, that's great. Let's do that. So congratulations to all involved there. With Amex Platinum, $400 in annual credits for travel and dining means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Who died today? Who died today? First, we have Magoo, the Virginia rapper,
Starting point is 00:18:47 dead at the age of 50. Very sad. No cause of death given. So don't look at me like that, like you think you know what it is because it doesn't say that. It just says that he's dead at the age of 50. Everybody's sad and no cause of death was given. So don't even think about it. Okay, just stop. No, don't.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I know you want to say it. So don't. Don't because it doesn't say that. Also, who died today? Alex Collins, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens and the Seahawks. Well, let's just say he played in the the NFL. He was killed in a motorcycle crash in
Starting point is 00:19:30 Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. The Broward County Sheriff's Office said official said the crash occurred Sunday night around 10.20 p.m. They know the impact caused the motorcyclist to enter the rear passenger side window of a Chevy. Wow. And the
Starting point is 00:19:48 Chevrolet rotated clockwise. After finally resting, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Very sad. 28 years. old, Alex Collins, dead at the age of 28. And as we're flipping through the obituaries, we can talk about Mike Young, co-founder of the popular Tex-Mex chain Cheeys, dead at the age of 74. He was having his battle with pancreatic cancer, which no one ever wins.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Very sad. But Mike Young, co-founder of the Tex-Mex chain Chewis, dead at the age of. of 74. Now, we do have information now about the Trump supporter in Utah, who was gunned down by the FBI in his home in Provo, Utah. Now, the reports all now say, I feel like we're rewriting history on this story. So the FBI said that they were serving a search warrant related to the alleged social media threats. We all know that. And they didn't divulge anything. about the shooting. They said no agents were harmed in the incident.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Oh, well, that's special. Good. Glad to hear that. And I actually am. However, people talked about how they banged on the door, then they flew through the flash bombs in, and shooting took place. Well, this story says that he was shot outside his Provo, Utah home. I feel like that's not true.
Starting point is 00:21:20 He was shot inside his home. I also, it says in the story, that they attempted CPR out in the front. yard. There were reports that he was just laying out there on the curb. It wasn't covered up. The picture they show now is his body out front on the curb covered up. So yeah, this story talks about how they used the explosive device to gain entry. You hear them yell. He has a gun and then a whole bunch more shots. So then they carried his body out of the home and attempted to render first aid to the man. That's what the story says. That's what one of the names.
Starting point is 00:21:57 says. That's not what the first neighbor said, but okay, you know, fine. That's what we're, that's what we're doing. That's what we're doing. But he wasn't shot outside his home. Okay. And I just feel like that, uh, I feel like they got what they wanted with Craig Robertson, uh, who is now dead at the age of 75. Uh, he came blowing into this guy's home, knowing he would be armed and he picked up his weapon like you knew he would and then you put him down. I don't know that. I'm just, you know, I'm just, you know, I'm just, you know, I'm just, you know, throwing it out there. So rest in peace,
Starting point is 00:22:30 Craig Robertson, dead at the age of 75. Then we have Joanne Meyer, or mayor, M-E-Y-E-R. She was one of the co-owners of a newspaper in Kansas. And the police raided
Starting point is 00:22:45 the small-town Kansas newspaper office. It's funny. The police are raiding newspaper offices now. Huh. Weird how that's going on now. Really, really, really weird.
Starting point is 00:22:57 So they took the computers, the cell phones, the servers. And it says in the story, the raid raised alarms from press freedom groups. Yeah, you think? Okay. Well, Joan Meyer was stressed beyond belief. And because of the stress at 98 years of age, she passed away of a heart attack over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:23:21 So did that have anything to do with it? No, of course not. Stop thinking like that. She's having police raid your newspaper and take all your business work properties at 98 and then be stressed over that and that killed you from a heart attack. No way. Stop it. No matter, she is dead.
Starting point is 00:23:46 So Joan Mayer, rest in peace at the age of 98. So last night I'm sitting around just twiddling my thumbs and I see what. where a new episode of a Tucker Carlson interview dropped, and he is interviewing RFK Jr. And it is one hour and 21 minutes and four seconds long on my Twitter feed. I'm on my ex-feet. I'm sorry, at Jeffrey, JFR is my ex-feed. And so, you know, I don't, I normally shy away from that.
Starting point is 00:24:17 I see, oh, that looks like a great interview, an hour and 21. Holy cow, I don't know that I could do that. Well, I pushed play. I was sitting there in front of my laptop and it was, I don't know what time it was sometime in the evening and I just pushed play. And holy cow, am I glad it did? What the interview was really, really good. If you have an opportunity to see it and watch it and listen to it, do so. I could play clips from it, but I'd rather you just listen to it for yourself.
Starting point is 00:24:49 I will say that a couple things that he talks about in there, I know Tucker made a big deal about saying, that they decided to do the only interview with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. conducted in the last 15 years that doesn't mention vaccines. So they didn't talk about vaccines at all. They did talk a little bit about, you know, the COVID-escaping the Wuhan lab and how it happened and how we got to Fauci being the highest paid guy between the Patriot Act and how it happened. and the CIA bio labs. Wow.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I mean, just incredible stories there. And then he also talked about, and I don't know that this is true. Some of the stuff, I don't know if it's true or not, but he claims, you know, he doesn't mention anything that he can't back up with actual facts and documentation. So, okay, then I'll take you at your word, RFK, and that this is true.
Starting point is 00:25:52 but he talked about how Putin and Russia, you know, slash Russia has 1,000 more nukes than we do here in the U.S. And according to him, and if that's not scary enough, really, according to him, our nukes can't shoot down theirs, but theirs can shoot down ours. If that's true, that is frightening. Never mind the bio labs. Yes, sure.
Starting point is 00:26:22 that's frightening. Yeah, your rights are taken away with the Patriot Act. Yeah, yeah, I got it. Nobody cares about the Geneva Convention. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got it. Yeah, the COVID escaped the Wuhan lab from doctors that got it and didn't know they had it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can trace
Starting point is 00:26:38 it back to the subway line from the Wuhan Lab into the city. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Putin has a thousand more nukes than us, and he could shoot down our nukes, but we can't shoot down his that is not good.
Starting point is 00:26:53 You can quote me on that. That is not good. This episode is brought to you by Peloton. A new era of fitness is here. And then you can always email the show, Chewing thefat at theblaze.com. Chewing the fat at theblaze.com. I do see all your emails. I really appreciate it. Thank you. I mean, I respond to all of them, but I do see them. So that's at chewing the fat at the blaze.com. Good news. We are close to college football. I know that we have the top 25 AP's first preseason top 25 rankings came out and we have Georgia number one. I'll try to avoid comment. I'll just let you know who they are. Georgia number one, Michigan number two, Ohio State number three, Alabama number four, LSU number five, South Carolina
Starting point is 00:28:54 number six, Penn State number seven, Florida State number eight, Clemson ninth, Washington, 10th, Texas 11th, Tennessee 12th, Notre Dame 13th, Utah, 14th, Oregon 15th, Kansas State 16, TCU 17, Oregon State 18, Wisconsin 19th, Oklahoma 20th, North Carolina 21, Ole Miss 22, Texas A&M 23rd, and Tulane 24, Iowa sneaks in at number 25. So, okay, there'll be all kinds of changes as the season progresses, no question. But Georgia looking for their third national championship in a row, a three-peat. Ooh, pretty sure that has not been done before. Alabama has done a couple.
Starting point is 00:29:52 There's been a few teams, Alabama's done a couple. There was one team, I don't know, back in the 1850s or whatever. actually it was Minnesota back in 1934 and 1935 that you know they retroactively crowned them champions so it really doesn't count you know they that's the closest thing that they came for a three-petre because they won it and then then they gave them the 34 and 35 seasons so it's like no okay that doesn't count but Anyway, it should be an exciting season. I'm looking forward to it, man. I can't wait for college football, and it's just around the corner. I do see, speaking of college football, though,
Starting point is 00:30:40 where Alabama's head coach, Nick Saban, just bought a new place down in Jupiter Island, Florida. He's now neighbors with Tiger Woods down there. Yeah, it's just down there. Jupiter Island. It's all good. There's only 17.5 million. So it's just down the street from,
Starting point is 00:30:58 Tiger and Gary Player and Ricky Flower. You're just around the corner. That's all. Don't worry about it. It's a 6,200 square foot house. Three stories. Florida ceiling windows. Private garden.
Starting point is 00:31:12 I got about 150 feet of private Florida beachfront with a dock and a boat lift. Pretty sweet. It's beautiful. I was looking at the pictures of it. The only thing I don't like, I mean, Nick's got to go in there and make it his own. The only thing I really don't like about it is the kitchen area. They've got this god-awful wallpaper with the giant spoon fork and knife on it. And it's just, you know, it's just terrible looking.
Starting point is 00:31:38 It's just, I don't know what it is about it, but I don't like it, and we need to redo it immediately. The pool area is fine. You can leave that. You can leave the deck area outside. That's fine. The yard area could have a little, you know, maybe we have a better looking table or maybe a fire pit out there to sit around, but no.
Starting point is 00:32:00 That kitchen has got to go. Hey, look, coach, I'm sure that you have a tough time making decisions because you're only the head coach of, you know, one of the top football programs in the country for years. So if you have a tough time, call me or email me chewing the fat of the blaze.com,
Starting point is 00:32:17 and I'll help you out. No problem. Don't worry about it, coach. I'll make that dump that much better just for you. Speaking of dumps for sale, the fifth largest ranch in Texas is now for sale near Big Bend National Park. The Brewster Ranch is up for sale. And you could pick it up for a mere $267 million.
Starting point is 00:32:45 No problem. I'm sure if you offered them according to this, the 424,000 plus acres, you can pick up for 267 million, $788,000.15. I'm sure if you walked in there with $267 million, it'd be yours. No problem. It's amazing. So it's half the size of Rhode Island with over 424,000 continuous acres.
Starting point is 00:33:17 It's just monstrous. And it's the fifth largest. Think of that. It has 22 properties that have been acquired over the decades to include. some of the most amazing, important habitats and land features outside of the one million acres of public lands to the south in Big Bend. It has seven ranches part of one big ranch, okay? It's got a little tent headquarters with varying degrees of conditions scattered over this
Starting point is 00:33:48 landscape. It looks beautiful. A lot of work. Oh, man, you're not just picking that up and sitting inside all day. I'll tell you that. They got submersible water wells, solar wells, windmills, supply of water, various storage tanks. Then they're piped to the network through troughs for wildlife.
Starting point is 00:34:08 I mean, it's a lot of work. You're not just sitting around smoking cigarettes. Hey, look what I just bought. Yeah. I don't worry about those pastures and pipelines and roads and fences and animals and buildings. That's a lot of work. That's a lot of work. So it'd be fun to have, though.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Pick up a little place. A little something with 424,000 plus acres for a mere $267 million plus dollars. That's it, though. That is it. Now, there is a fight going on in California, Santa Barbara home, another dump, worth $15 million. It's a eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom, property that was apparently sold to Orlando Bloom and Katie Perry while the owner was under
Starting point is 00:35:04 duress. So now they're having a lawsuit. So in 2020, this Westcott, Carl Westcott, 83, they love to say it's a veteran who sold his $15 million, Santa Barbara home to Orlando Bloom and Katie Perry. Now, he claims that he was under the influence of opioids following back surgery. And he didn't want to, he doesn't want to sell his place. They signed, I signed this under duress. Now, he suffers from Huntington's disease. And he said that he realized that he'd signed away and rescind it and signed away the house and when he was, you know, high on painkillers after surgery.
Starting point is 00:35:48 And I rescind the contract. I don't want to sell it. This was my house. and so now three years later we're going to trial. We're going to trial because he does not want to sell his place. I was under the influence of opioids from back surgery and I just canceled the whole deal. Oh, okay. So he was 80 at the time of the sale and been suffering from Huntington's disease,
Starting point is 00:36:13 which I guess attacks areas of the brain and that control voluntary movement. And one of the symptoms is dementia. Now, according to Westcott's complaint, he never listed the property or spoke to a broker about putting the 9,285 square foot home on the market. He purchased the home in 2020, moved in too much prior. He was planning to live there as his primary residence for the rest of his life. Now, I will say, it seems like a big house for an 80-year-old man. But it's his money. It's his house.
Starting point is 00:36:46 He can do what he wants. it seems like that isn't the place for you. But upon discharge from the hospital, he was prescribed at least two opioids in a pill form and was to continue taking for pain, which he took as prescribed several times each day. So the combination of his age, his back condition, surgery, and the drugs. You know, three days later,
Starting point is 00:37:12 this representative of Katie Perry and Orlando Bloom presented Westcott with a written offer, which was more money than he had paid for the home in May. The next day, the signed document prepared by the brokerage firm. So days later, he started to feel mentally clear again, realized the weight of his signature on the sale agreement and said, no, no, no, no, no, no, I do not want to sell my home. This was done under the influence, and you can't have it. so now Katie Perry and Orlando Bloom are taking him to court for the house. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:54 So I guess he's still there at the 9,000 plus square foot $15 million home. And I just squat. Maybe just take the money and don't move out. You know, in today's world, what are they going to do to you? That's weird. Why doesn't Katie and Orlando just say, hey, you know, stay there until you die and then it's our house okay we get deal deal all right we got a deal but who knows what the problem is there but i'm surprised that they don't do that because he's probably
Starting point is 00:38:27 not that long for the world and so it's going to be their place soon enough don't you think that's not part of the deal jeff i know i know all right i was going to leave you with the joke of the day but I just had this sent to me as we were recording. Breaking news, okay? It was not really breaking news, but it's just something that I, we, you need to be aware of. Okay. So this is from a sports bar in Cocoa Beach, Florida, okay? I had this sent to me from, uh, from my sister-in-law who's down there.
Starting point is 00:39:03 And she, I don't know, whatever she's doing down there. But, uh, she sent me a picture of from a sports bar in Cocoa Beach, Florida. And there's a big sign hanging outside the sports bar. Now hiring non-stupid people. We'll see how long that lasts in today's world. But man, that is where we are at. Now hiring non-stupid people.
