Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, we've got a little bit of an issue. And now, see what with Jeff Fisher. So there were monkeys that were involved in a crash and there was also a human driving the truck that crashed in Jasper County, Mississippi. Now, the report yesterday was that this truck hauling aggressive monkeys carrying hepatitis C, herpes and COVID on their way to Florida overturned. That's what the Mississippi Sheriff. Department reported. It also reported that all but one of the escaped monkeys have been destroyed. We have been in contact with the animal disposal company to help handle the situation. Okay. And then they talked about where it occurred and said that the Reese's monkeys were from
Starting point is 00:00:49 Tulane University. They were approximately 40 pounds and they were aggressive to humans and they require PPE to handle because they carry hepatitis C, herpes, and COVID. Tulane has been notified and said they will send a team to pick up the monkeys tomorrow, which would be today. Now, best advice said the Sheriff's Department, do not approach. Yeah, don't approach, but I'm sure that at least, you know, if you're going out into the backyard, you would at least bring your weapon along and perhaps, you know, if you were to say, oh, is that that monkey out there by the fence? You know, just a little warning. Now, Tulane has put out a statement saying the non-human primates at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center are provided to other research organizations in advance to advanced scientific discovery.
Starting point is 00:01:44 The primates in question belong to another entity and are not infectious. Okay, so Tulane says, hey, yeah, we use them and we give them to other entities. They're not ours. But, you know, they're not. They're safe. They're fine. Don't worry about it. Well, the driver told the local law enforcement the monkeys were dangerous and posed a threat to humans.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Now, yesterday we were told that they were all destroyed but one. According to the Sheriff's Department, he said all the monkeys, all the escaped monkeys have been destroyed. So there were some still in cages in the back of the truck. I'm guessing those weren't destroyed. They were just making sure they didn't get loose. Okay. Now, we found out that there was the total of 21 monkeys. All right. Now, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:36 It says here that six escaped. So does that mean that they killed five and 15 remained in the cages in the truck? Because then today I read a story that talks about monkeys, is plural, still on the loose. Yeah, there were three monkeys that, you know, that got on the loose. I know we said one yesterday. We revised the count.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Oh, okay. After officials from Tulane arrived on the scene. Okay. So Tulane showed up and said, yeah, there were more. Or I guess that's the only, yeah, there were more monkeys than this. We've got records here. Okay. So there's multiple.
Starting point is 00:03:27 multiple monkeys, at least three, perhaps six, running around Mississippi. So if you are in Jasper County or thereabouts in Jasper County, Mississippi, you know, right there on Route I-59 near Mile Marker 117, I would not leave my house without at least. Then if you happen to see one of the monkeys, then you go ahead and then go ahead. and then go ahead and call someone and say, yeah, I found your monkey and they're right here. And look at that.
Starting point is 00:04:06 He tried to come at me because he was sick. You know, I don't know if it was the hepatitis, COVID, or the herpes that made him start coming toward me. But he didn't look friendly and I had to put him down. Take care. Good luck. God bless. You can come and pick him up.
Starting point is 00:04:25 I mean, I'm not telling you to do that. I'm just saying it would be very likely that that would happen if it were me. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. Fat 5 Plus. So many of you have sent me and tagged me on social media and sent me an email about the new 1X robot that will do all your chores for you while you relax. And so, you know, I had one, Here's your Dubot.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I know I want one bad. I want a Dewey bad. Okay, so we're almost there. We are almost there. Now, the cover picture of the Instagram post that talks about it's here. It shows a lady washing dishes and the Dubot drying them. It never, we never see the Dubot getting wet. And I think that's still an issue.
Starting point is 00:05:45 so they're not able to, when they can do the dishes and dry them, I think that's when we're going to see them. Because the videos that they have of the Dubot is doing all kinds of household chores throughout the, you know, obviously throughout the house. And cleaning up, sweeping, picking it up, I like it. And they even say in their promo, it's the first consumer-ready humanoid robot designed to live and work in your home. It handles chores, manages schedules.
Starting point is 00:06:15 learns new tasks over time. Powered by advanced AI, Neo recognizes voices, faces, and objects, remembers conversations, and adapts to your habits. It can fold laundry, fetch items, open doors, all quietly and safely.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I can order one now for $200 down. Deliveries starting next year in 2026. Okay, so then I went to their Instagram account, 1x. Dot Technologies and they have plenty of videos showing me
Starting point is 00:06:48 Neo and you know the home robot and they want me to order today and then I said okay so I went to the website 1X tech
Starting point is 00:06:58 slash order and they've got a whole their whole website is showing me different things that Dewey that I will call it will do
Starting point is 00:07:08 your Dubot but not nowhere in here are they talking about it doing dishes. And I feel like that's a game changer when we can have that happen. So you can order it now $200 deposit, fully refundable, according to the website. You can get what's going to happen in 2026 when it arrives, when they send you Neo,
Starting point is 00:07:32 the home robot. You can pay $4.99 a month for a monthly subscription, starter productivity package, standard delivery. or if you want early access, you can get ownership with a three-year warranty, premium support, priority delivery, $20,000. So I wonder the starter productivity package, yeah, that's just sweeping and picking up some towels. So you're going to want it to do more.
Starting point is 00:08:03 You're going to want it to do more. I think I can pick a whatever, I can have a different color. I can have a black one. I can have a little gray one. I can have a little tan one. So you can pick and choose a color. There are three colors for Neo the Home Robot.
Starting point is 00:08:17 I am ready for Neo the Home Robot. No question. I just will say that, you know, do I want it to organize shelves? Yes. Do I want it to clean spaces? Yes. Do I want it to fold laundry? Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:33 But folding laundry and washing it and putting it from the washer to the dryer, that would mean it has to get wet. And that's something that they're, not doing yet. And I don't like it. I mean, I'm willing, look, if you want to give it to me and try it out, bring Neo on. I'm ready to meet Neo, the world's first consumer-ready humanoid robot. But I really do want to have it be able to wash dishes.
Starting point is 00:09:00 See, there's a picture of it taking dishes, putting, taking dishes out of the dishwasher, and there's a picture of it taking clothes out of the dryer. but it doesn't show them doing the dishes or washing the clothes. And so I'm ready when they are. And I may actually, if they're going to, I may have to talk to someone from this company and find out exactly why and what the deal is. Because I think I know what it is. I just want to talk to them about it.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Maybe I will. Maybe we'll find somebody and talk to them about it here on chewing the fat. But until then, you can get your Dubot, Neo. but it doesn't look like it does everything I wanted to do. It may do everything you wanted to do, though. I haven't seen this yet, but apparently Taco Bell is rolling out live moss cafes inside its existing restaurants
Starting point is 00:09:55 with special beverages ranging from frozen coffees to lemonade's and energy drinks. So by the end of the year, Taco Bell is projecting that it will have 30 live moss cafes in its portfolio from across Southern California, Dallas, and Houston. in Texas. They're claiming that they could generate $5 billion in a drink business by 2030. I thought that's what the Mick cafes were. And those were gone, what, in a year? Tops? So we'll see. They unveiled the drink-focused store format last December with a location in Chula Vista, which is beautiful this time of year. Ten months later came the second, and then
Starting point is 00:10:36 we're starting to pop up in Dallas and Houston. So unlike, oh, see, they even made. mentioned in the story. Unlike the now defunct Cosmix spin-off, uh-huh, which had standalone locations, oh, that was the killer. The live Moss Cafe lives inside existing Taco Bell restaurants. Customers order at kiosk and can watch the belristers assemble their drinks from behind the designated counter, which takes prime real estate in the store. The drink menu includes a range of beverage options from blended coffees to lemonade-based drinks. Okay, well, that may work, actually, because they already have the location. It's not a separate location.
Starting point is 00:11:16 We're just doing it inside the store. Most of, I don't know the percentage, but I would venture to say that probably, what, 80% maybe more of Taco Bell's business is drive-through. So, I mean, you're generating, you're still keeping your drive-through business, and you're keeping bringing in some new customers once they get used. to having the live moss drink section inside Taco Bell. I haven't seen it yet. If you've been in a live moss, let me know.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Email me chewing the fat at the blaze.com. I'm interested to see if it would be, you know, it would be worth it or not. Boy, the movie industry is, they're in a bad place, and I don't know that they, many people will tell you that they're not in a bad place, but they're in a bad place. So I was looking at the top movies from last week,
Starting point is 00:12:24 and number one was chainsaw man, the movie, Res Art, which is an anime movie. Okay, so again, we have an anime movie still at the top. Okay, all right. Then Black Phone 2, in its week 2,
Starting point is 00:12:42 down 50%. So it's 80, 80 million global, 49 million domestic. It spent 30 million on budget from Bloomhouse. So, you know, that Black Phone 2 is going to make the money
Starting point is 00:12:56 if they haven't already. regretting you. Number four is the first week on the docket, Springsteen, deliver me from nowhere. That is with Jeremy Allen White, and it's a biopic, biopic, biopic, and it was Nebraska-focused narrative calling, you know, about Springsteen. Maybe, and they're saying, oh, no, shoot, are people done with biopics from, bio-picks? Are they done? Now, what they're done with is done with Springsteen. We don't give a crap about him. We told you that when you first announced that your lover boy star,
Starting point is 00:13:37 Jeremy Allen White, was going to be Bruce Springsteen. I'm sure he's fine. And will I ever watch this movie? I'm going to have a hard time. I'm going to have a hard time because I am not a huge fan of Bruce. And boy, it's hard for me to think about having to sit through a whole movie. about Bruce Springsteen. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:14:00 But maybe. Maybe someday I will, but holy cow. I like Jeremy Allen White too. I like them. Then you have Tron Ares, good fortune, Shelby Oaks, one battle after another,
Starting point is 00:14:12 roof, man, truth, and treason. Now they claim this weekend was up 9.8% from last week, but it was down 20.7%
Starting point is 00:14:23 from the same frame last year. So I will We'll see. I don't know if we're going to, the theater is better, better come together. I know we've got Running Man and Wicked for Good coming up next month, so they're supposed to jump start the holidays. So we'll see if that actually holds true or not. You know, speaking of Jeremy Allen White, Mr. Bruce Springsteen himself, I saw a story about him getting his high school diploma.
Starting point is 00:14:54 And I thought, oh, okay, cool. He actually, the actor, I'm surprised he had time to actually go back to school. Okay, a couple things. Well, that's not really true. Okay, so I guess he, according to this story, this story says he officially graduated high school at 34. He revealed on live with Kelly and Mark that he had never had enough credits and used to leave school early, saying he had a hard time paying attention in high school. He was surprised by his diploma,
Starting point is 00:15:25 by his former drama teacher at a New York film festival premiere of his new film, Springsteen, deliver me from nowhere. Oh, so yeah, he didn't go back to school to get his high school diploma and earn it. It's just that one of his old teachers said, hey, here you go.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Here's an honorary diploma. You graduated. I was your drama teacher. And here you go. you graduated oh okay well thank you i guess and you know look the guy is a star and uh he's going to make a lot of money and he doesn't need a high school diploma but uh i find it strange that oh yeah i have a high school diploma now do you i mean at least he could do is you know get a gED or you know do it schedule a little bit but no i mean what's the point right he's learning
Starting point is 00:16:20 scripts and he's acting in a movie and he's doing what directors tell him to do so why Why does he need that? And now he has one. It was an honorary one. It just gave it to him. So congratulations to Jeremy Allen White. I see where Netflix said that selling sunset is coming back for a ninth season. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I think that comes back today, actually, on Netflix. And then a new season of The Witcher hits Netflix tomorrow with Liam Hensworth, replacing Henry Cavill in the league. lead role. So that starts tomorrow the 30th of October 2025. Today is the 29th of October 2025. Well, today is October 29th. That, you know how a date stick in your head when you, and he say, oh yeah, that day. That is my stepdad's birthday. October 29th was my stepdad's birthday. He has passed away, rest in peace. He married my mom and treated her like gold, and he was a good man. And I'm glad that he was in my life and I appreciated him more than he ever knew. So rest in peace to Richard and
Starting point is 00:17:31 I just remembering you on your birthday, sir. Wouldn't it be nice if I were to win the lottery on October 29th? It would be another way that I could remember his birthday and remember the date. So the powerball drawing is $376 million jackpot with 179.3 million cash payout. tonight, which is the 29th of October, 2025. They did not have any winners. We talked about that. There was no winners of anything except for the smaller wins on the jackpot, right? No one won the jackpot.
Starting point is 00:18:08 The match five plus power play or the match five, no one won that. So tonight's tonight. I'm ready to go. Plus mega millions. That drawing is when Friday, 1031. I could remember that date in my head, too, if I had to. $754 million with a cash option of $352.8 million on the mega million. So I got that look.
Starting point is 00:18:33 If I don't get tonight on the 29th, which I want to. So I could remember this date, the 29th, for the lottery, Powerball win and, you know, my stepdad birthday. Or if I just had to, you know, win the mega on Friday, and I could remember 1031 and hey it was Halloween and it was a couple of days after my stepdad's birthday. So how could I forget that? Right. Right.

Starting point is 00:21:02 The Washington Post recently ran a test uploading the same AI generated video made with OpenAI SORA to eight major platforms. Only YouTube added a warning, and even that was buried in the description. Worse still, every platform stripped out the content credentials data that was supposed to prove whether something's real or synthetic. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, all companies that pledged to implement these safeguards displayed no AI labels or warnings whatsoever. Oh, okay. So I guess SORA II is launching soon, or maybe already has, with the ability to generate footage that can mimic actors' faces and copyrighted characters. What could go wrong? Yeah. So just remember everything you see.
Starting point is 00:22:02 on the internet. Very possibly not real. Okay, who died today? Who died today? Well, let's begin with Prunella Scales. Prunella Scales has died at the age of 93. You don't remember Prunella Scales? She acted with John Cleese as the squabbling married co-owners in the
Starting point is 00:22:32 the beloved British sitcom Faulty Towers? Yeah, now you remember her, right? She died peacefully at home in London, according to her sons. She had battled dementia in recent years and was watching Faulty Towers the day before she died. I don't know if she remembered it was her or not, they didn't say. She also started a bunch of other shows as well. Prunella Scales, rest in peace, dead.
Starting point is 00:23:02 at the age of 93. Then we have former Luxana executive Ed Janakowski. Ed Jenkowalski. Jan, it's Ed Jankowski. It's Ed Jankowski. Ed Jankowski. I don't want to say it wrong. Ed J-A-N-K-O-W-S-K-I.
Starting point is 00:23:23 I want to say Janikowski, but it's not. It's Ed Jankowski. Duh. He is dead at the age of 72. 72. Wow. I mean, he was a former executive. He died at his home in Pomato Beach, Florida. He had prostate cancer that he'd been battling for the past five years. And his niece, who he mentored and is now the senior director in design and merchandising at Brahmin USA, said that ever since the diagnosis, he's fought it with a smile and would advise others, don't count the days. Make the days count. That's good advice. Rest in peace to Ed Jankowski dead at the age of 72. Then we have 14 narco terrorists dead, thanks to the United States of America in Pacific drug boat strikes.
Starting point is 00:24:23 We blew up four more boats. I know, here we go again. they were according to our secretary of warped head set the united states military took out four more narco-terror trafficking boats through kinetic strikes in the eastern pacific leaving 14 suspected drug traffickers dead and we have videos to prove it so headsil said that the strikes took place in international waters so what he always says on monday and we're authorized by president Donald trump She always says the boats were operated and designated by terrorist organizations.
Starting point is 00:25:03 That's what he always says. So they were transmitting along no narco-trafficking routes, carrying narcotics. That's what he always says. So there you have it. 14 suspected drug traffickers dead. I guess rest in peace. So we're supposed to, I'm supposed to be nice and say rest in peace. But rest and peace to the alleged.
Starting point is 00:25:27 14 suspected drug traffickers. But since they're dead, I guess it's not a legend anymore. That's just what they were. Then we have who almost died today. Who almost died today? Well, a Texas man is behind bars for allegedly shooting his neighbor. So the neighbor is the one who almost died, but we don't have a name. We just have a name of the shooter.
Starting point is 00:25:54 David Strolley, David Stroll, S-T-R-O-L-E, a 39-year-old male from Texas. He opened fire on his neighbor in the rural area of North Livingston, Texas. According to police, David was angry that the woman kept feeding her horse, claiming he didn't want the horse to get too fat. No, this is not a It's not a joke of the day. The woman's horse was reportedly being kept on his property with his permission.
Starting point is 00:26:33 So he didn't even kill her. The victim survived the shooting and they have not released an update on her condition. Now, maybe he was shooting buckshot just to get her attention and wasn't really trying to kill her. We'll see if that comes out because he was arrested and behind bars
Starting point is 00:26:49 for the shooting. so maybe we'll find out that wasn't trying to kill her was just buckshot I wanted to get her attention she keeps feeding the horse and making it too fat and I'm the one that's responsible for it so the neighbor of David Stroll
Starting point is 00:27:06 in North Livingston, Texas almost died because of it and then there was a story out of Brazil and I haven't seen anything about it and it was just this one story making the rounds online last night, Rio turns into a war zone. About 2,500 cops rolled into Rio before sunrise to take on Red Command, one of Brazil's biggest drug gangs.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Gang members answered with bullets, burning cars, barricades, and for the first time ever in Brazil, drone dropped explosives. Death toll hit 80 by noon. Four cops were among the dead. The governor says Rio is effectively at war and based on the skyline he's not kidding and there's video that looks like a small war zone. You thought GTA was wild. Rio just
Starting point is 00:28:00 said hold my coffee. Well, here's the thing. Maybe this is just a game and it's not real. I don't know. I haven't seen any more about it. But if you're thinking about traveling to, let's see, Jasper County, Mississippi
Starting point is 00:28:16 or Rio de Janeiro. you may think twice because both places you may need to bring a weapon with you just in case. And just in case, just in case, you run into anything you don't agree with. But good luck, have fun. All right, let's get out of here. I'll give you the joke of the day. Oh, yeah. Before we do the joke of the day, I mean, we have a story also about three personnel found dead
Starting point is 00:28:42 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. It says here circumstances unclear. Oh, really? That's interesting. So the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations are investigating three deaths that occurred between the evening of October 24th
Starting point is 00:29:03 and the morning of October 25th. The deaths which impacted several locations around Dayton have deeply affected both the military community and local residents. We are deeply saddened by this tragic event and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones affected. Yeah, we stand together. Yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Heartbreaking laws.
Starting point is 00:29:23 The deputy commander, Air Force Marital Command, Marshal Command, Linda Hurry, Lieutenant General, we are committed to fully investigating the incident and ensuring the families of co-workers of the victims receive the support they need during this difficult time. Okay, well, special details cannot be shared at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. Okay, so confirmed deceased. Okay, so who died today?
Starting point is 00:29:49 This should have been, who died today? Jamie Gustavis, 25. This is Jamie Pritchard 33 and Mr. Jacob Pritchard 34. They were part of a Air Force Research Laboratory Center. Holy cow. Did somebody, were they researching something and they went crazy? We don't know. We don't know because they won't tell us.
Starting point is 00:30:13 So that's what happened, I think, because the first person, Jamie, worked with the 711th Human Performance Wing, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory. And the lady, Jamie Pritchard, and the man, Jacob Pritchard, all worked within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, which is a part of the Air Force Research Laboratory. Holy cow. Did something get saved from not breaking out or did something break out from this Air Force base? Holy cow, be careful. So we got monkeys. We've got monkeys in Mississippi.
Starting point is 00:30:54 We have possibility of something in Ohio. And we definitely have war zone in Brazil, off the waters of Venezuela, drug lords in Mexico. Man, it's a good time. It's a good time these days around the globe. it? Yes. Yes, it is. All right, let's get out of here. I'll give you the joke of the day. This one, I think I've done this one before.
Starting point is 00:31:17 It just, Andrew sent it in, and he sent in an email with multiple jokes, and a couple of them were, you know, okay. And we're a couple that were pretty good that I share. And this one, I'm pretty sure I've done before, but it makes me laugh every time I read it. So I'm going to share it with you because for me, it makes me laugh every time I read it. What's green and fuzzy and would kill you if it fell out of a tree? I don't know. What's green and fuzzy and would kill you if it fell out of a tree? A pool table?
Starting point is 00:31:55 See, Bicana, you got it. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at theblaze.com slash podcasts.
