Starting point is 00:00:41 Now the Grammys are going to take place Sunday February 5th They are going to be broadcast live From a Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena I don't know that it will still remain Crypto.com Arena by that time
Starting point is 00:00:57 But we shall see as CBS Television Network and stream live on demand on Paramount Plus on February 5th, the 2023 Grammy Awards. There are 91 general field categories. It's pretty amazing. I mean, I went through them all, and we're not going to go through them all. I promise you that. But, you know, from number one as record of the year, number two, album of the year. number two album of the year
Starting point is 00:01:29 then you get into number three song of the year which you know I'm not opposed to ABCD-E-F-U being the song of the year we all know that song right of course we do and you start scrolling
Starting point is 00:01:48 through all of these and you get to you know like number 61 which is the best spoken word poetry album. Not just spoken word, but the best spoken word poetry album. And I'm sure that it's
Starting point is 00:02:07 probably going to go to Amanda Gorman. Call us what we carry. Poems. She's the new up-and-coming star. But Malcolm Jamal Warner has one in here. Hiding in Plain View. Mayor Suleman, J. Ivy. Ethelbert Miller. I love Ethelbert.
Starting point is 00:02:24 I have no idea who Ethelbert. Miller is, but her best-spoken word poetry album is black men are precious. So I hope that happens. And then we can try, I believe that Amanda Gorman will win that category. Either that or Malcolm Jimal Warner, but it won't be the others. And then you get to 91, the last one, best music film, not just music video, not just music video and film, but best music film. So you have Adele one night only,
Starting point is 00:03:03 Justin Bieber Our World, Billy Ilish, Billy Ilish Live at the O2, Rosalia, Jazz Fest, Band of Brotherhood, a Barn. That was Neil Young, a crazy horse. So maybe Neil because they love him, but I have a feeling it's going to be,
Starting point is 00:03:22 Adele may clean up. We'll see. I mean, Kendrick Lamar, Adele, Brandy, Carlisle, Harry Styles, and Future all got at least six nominations. And Beyonce is now tied with her husband, Jay-Z, as the musician, with the most Grammy nominations in history. 88 Grammy nominations for both Jay-Z and Beyonce. Now, how much are you excited? about the Grammy Awards. I know. I know. Me too. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. I mean, there's a lot happening in the music world. Let's talk about,
Starting point is 00:04:11 let's talk about Taylor Swift. Ticketmaster pretty much shut down yesterday because they were supposed to sell the pre-sale tickets for the Taylor Swift shows. new concerts out for her new tour. And they said they've been unprecedented demand for Swift's tour pre-sale tickets. So sure, look if you're in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, Seattle. We're not going to do that right now. It's going to be pushed back to 3 p.m. Pacific. It was originally supposed to be 10 a.m.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Capital One presale will be moved from Tuesday to Wednesday, which would be November 16th at 2 p.m. local time. Ticketmaster is selling tickets actively. There's great selection still available. Really? Because you had posted yesterday the ticket availability was extremely limited due to high demand for today's sale. And look, we apologize for the interruption. You know that.
Starting point is 00:05:19 We're sorry. It was just a bigger demand than we had anticipated. Really? Okay. They also had a separate message that said something went wrong on our end. And we need to start over. Broken things are a drag. Our team is on it.
Starting point is 00:05:34 So it doesn't happen again. Oh, that's so special. So Swift's tour originally had 27 dates before jumping to 35. And now the tour has a total of 52 shows. So you're still going to get your shot. If you want to see Taylor, you'll be able to. to do that with the Capital One credit card users general pre-sale tickets. The general public sale begins on Friday.
Starting point is 00:06:08 So log in and keep refreshing to get those Taylor Swift tickets. You got that there, Swiftys. And then we have more music news, really kind of straight. I didn't know this was an event I needed to go to, but the 2023's Rolling Loud California Festival, Travis Scott, Future, and the Playboy Cardi are the headliners for the Rolling Loud California 2020 Festival.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Yeah, looking forward to that. That festival is scheduled to take place March 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Hollywood Park on the grounds adjacent to SoFi. And so little baby, little Uzi Virt, money bag, yo, chains, Kevin Gates, Chief Keefe, L.A. artists and other artists will all be part of the Roland Loud California, 2023 festival. And I saw a Roberta Flack. You remember Roberta Flack. She's a Grammy award-winning singer and pianist. she's 85 now so of course you remember uh she just announced that she has a ls you know lou garrig's disease and can no longer sing wow really sad made it impossible to sing and not easy to speak but it will take a lot more than a ls to silence this icon that from her manager well keep doing your job susan
Starting point is 00:07:50 the announcement of the anthropotropic lateral sclerosis diagnosis I thought it was ALS oh yeah that is ALS all right just kidding stop it I'm not making fun of Lou Gehrig's disease I know it's horrible believe me I do
Starting point is 00:08:10 so she's got a feature length documentary debuting at the DOC NYC Film Festival that's coming up, right? When is that? That's this week, I think. The end of this week is the DOC NYC Film Festival. You remember her songs,
Starting point is 00:08:28 killing me softly with his song. First time ever I saw your face. She sings a little bit better than me. And so, remember it was in the movie, Play Misty for me. Clint Eastwood made that song a monster. So, anyway, very sad from Roberta Flack. That's music news today.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I like knowing exactly where my meat comes from, from small family farms to your dining table. And Moink gives you access to the freshest, sustainably sourced meat and fish, all while supporting American family farms. You can help save the family farm and get access to the highest quality meat, on earth when you join the Moink movement today.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Moink delivers grass-fed and grass-finished beef and lamb, pastured pork and chicken, and sustainable wild-caught Alaskan salmon straight to your door. They didn't even mention the bacon. Moinck farmers farm like our grandparents did, and as a result, moink meat tastes like it should, because the family farm does it better. The moink difference is a difference you can taste and you can feel good knowing you're helping family farms stay financially independent as well. You choose the meat delivered in every box like ribbyes to chicken breast to pork chops to salmon filets to bacon.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Plus you can cancel it any time. I love when the moink box gets delivered and you just set it up in the kitchen and you just set it up in the kitchen and you. you open it up and you just start taking out the ribbyes and the chicken breast and the pork chops and the bacon. I mean, the bacon is probably the best bacon I have ever tasted. And I know that Shark Tank host Kevin O'Leary called Moink's Bacon the best bacon he's ever tasted, I'd like to thank him for agreeing with me. I see where Jamie Siminao jumped at the chance to invest in Moink.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Good for him. I got to tell you, though, I agree with Kevin O'Leary about the bacon. That is awesome stuff. Anyway, Moink will deliver those direct to your house, and you can cancel it any time. Awesome deal. Keep American farming going by signing up at moinkbox.com slash jeffey right now. Listeners to this show, get free filet mignon in every order. for a year. That's one year of the best filet mignon you'll ever taste. It's for a limited time,
Starting point is 00:11:25 though. So get to moinkbox.com slash jeffy right now. M-O-I-N-K-box.com slash jeffy. Moinkbox.com slash jeffy. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink. Desperately. All right, so we know we've got the World Cup coming up. And we know that the soccer team has changed their logo to the LGBTQ colors, the rainbow colors, to kind of, you know, go against Qatar and how they're making people, they're taking away, you know, their freedoms is what they're doing, this other country. and so I mean we know that Virgin Atlantic band crew crew members from wearing new gender neutral uniforms
Starting point is 00:12:29 in England's Qatar team's Qatar flight everybody's kowtowing to guitar and remember we talked about some of the things that you can and can't do while there I mean it makes you want to go to the World Cup in Qatar I mean we know we talked about it last week that the former FIFA president acknowledged,
Starting point is 00:12:54 yeah, you know, choosing guitar to host of the World Cup, that was a bad choice. You think? I mean, you chose them, and then you decided, you know, we normally have this in the summer, but because it's guitar and it's so hot, we're going to
Starting point is 00:13:11 have to change it to the winter. So we did that. And let's not forget that the World Cup ambassador for guitar said homosexuality was damage in the mind. So it's a good place. You chose a great place for the World Cup. So we know that there's going to be all kinds of stuff banned, people arrested, importing drugs, alcohol, pornography, pork products, religious books, and other material into guitar is illegal.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Oh, okay. Beer, I guess, is going to be served at designated locations inside the stadiums during games, but it's prohibited elsewhere. Swearing and making rude gestures are considered obscene. Offenders will be jailed and or deported. Take particular care when dealing with police and other officials. Oh. Okay, no problem.
Starting point is 00:14:16 And don't think about showing any public displays of intimacy. And be sure to follow the Islamic dress code while you're in guitar as well. And you should dress modestly while in public. Well, and, you know, everywhere you go. And women, you got to cover your shoulders. And don't wear any short shorts. And you know what? Men don't wear shorts either.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Or sleeveless tops. Yeah. Don't do it when you're going to. you know, when you're out and about going anywhere other than, you know, the games. And I wouldn't even do it there, to be honest with you. But, you know, you could go ahead and take a shot. They're probably going to let you be in the games. But then again, maybe not.
Starting point is 00:15:01 So have fun. Have fun. It's going to be great. It kicks off this weekend. So it's going to be awesome to hear all the people that get arrested. And maybe they won't because the people won't go. Right. So, you know, we'll just have to wait for that.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Also, the Olympics just released their mascots for the 2024 France Olympic Games. And they're these, they're called their two triangular red mascots, the Frigies? P-H-R-Y-G-E-S? No, it's not that. It's free G's. However, they do look like a woman. part you know the part that's down below that it looks like uh you know an inflatable a feminist inflatable uh uh you know it represents the conical hats linked to the french revolution oh oh okay so it doesn't
Starting point is 00:16:14 It doesn't have anything to do with a woman's clitoris in trainers. It doesn't have anything to do with that? Oh, man, am I stupid? Speaking of woman parts, I see where you can now see Daryl Hannah's butt, her nude butt from the movie Splash. Disney used CGI They blotted it out
Starting point is 00:16:46 Blurted it out To cover her partially exposed Backside with fake hair So they have now reinstated that Because now it's okay Yes it's still on Disney Plus But it's behind the parental lock feature So if a parent doesn't want
Starting point is 00:17:05 Their child or themselves To see Daryl Hannah kissing Tom Hanks before jumping into the ocean and you're going to be able, you know, to see her butt. And who, how good do you feel now about Disney Plus? I know. I know. Me too.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Oh, and we got to talk about the iPhone too. Apple's new feature, the Emergency SOS. Okay, so it's kind of, it's a cool feature. We talked about it when they first announced it that you're going to be able to call 911 using satellites when you don't have cell service. And so you have, look, Apple has invested a bunch of money in this. They're operating these satellites,
Starting point is 00:17:52 these global star satellites to support their development. It's low-Earth orbit satellites. They have 24 of them that's available. So iPhone 14 users can call 911 without cell service. Now, the good thing is, it's just silly because now when you call 911 without cell service, you're going to receive the option to send an emergency text after filling out a questionnaire about the nature of the emergency. The user's precise location and medical ID are sent to emergency responders then.
Starting point is 00:18:29 And since, you know, that will take forever, just know that you're going to have to also have an unobstructed view of the sky. Yeah, I know. So if you are under a car or in a cave or under a rock, or down to the basement of a home, something like that, you're not going to be able to use it. But otherwise, it's a great feature, and you'll love it. With Amex Platinum, $400 in annual credits for travel and dining
Starting point is 00:19:19 means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Well, who died today? Who died today? Eric Coogrand. And you say, Eric, C-O-U-G-R-A-N-D?
Starting point is 00:19:40 Yeah, Eric Co-G-R-A-N. He was 58 years of age. He was a drummer for the rock band Smashing Burritos. who doesn't love smashing burritos. He passed away, had a heart attack on stage at a performance in France.
Starting point is 00:19:59 That sucks. I mean, he's got a 12-year-old daughter. It's just amazing. So he's, it was confirmed by the bands after he had collapsed on stage. You know, in the middle of the second set, Eric collapsed on his drums.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Neither of the people present. nor the firefighters could revive him. And so rest and peace, mate. So Eric Coogran dead at the age of 58. Also, at the age of six, the beloved ice cream chain, going out of business, dead at the age of six. Boombox, frozen pops and ice cream.
Starting point is 00:20:45 A two-store chain in Louisiana is, is dead now. Well, it's hanging on on bond life support until December 30th of this year. Due to a combination of economic strain and damage incurred because of natural disasters in the area, but Boombach, frozen pops and ice cream is going
Starting point is 00:21:07 out of business. I know. It's sad. So it started back in 2014. He opened up for business in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Business got good, and opened up a second location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And so the frozen pop and ice cream shop was an inspiration of the fun retro shop
Starting point is 00:21:33 inspired by 80s music and the desire to be creative while serving up gourmet treats. But no more. Boombox, frozen pops and ice cream dead at the age of six. Also, almost every day, we find out that, you know, humans were probably around a lot earlier
Starting point is 00:21:58 than we thought. You know, we figure out now that, you know, they were probably in South America, you know, 20 or, you know, 20,000 years ago, maybe 30,000 years before we thought so. Oh, really? Yeah. Because we thought they didn't show up.
Starting point is 00:22:17 But, you know, now we're, finding fossils of these giant, well, armadillos. They're giant armadillos. They're called the glyphodons. So they find them with fractured skulls. Oh, so that means humans, we're hunting them down and killing them. And there's nothing like an armadillo cooked over a fire. We don't know if they had fire.
Starting point is 00:22:43 20,000 years ago, yeah, probably did have fire. So they were hunting in groups. The animal was killed. You know, where the skull was cracked was for sure. These humans dealt the, these hunters dealt the fatal blows with a stone chopper or a club. Not using spears. Hunters would have had to been, you know, brave, good observation skills and knowledge of their prey. That was the only place they could get them because the prehistoric herbivores would weigh
Starting point is 00:23:16 up to 400 kilograms. Now, I don't know how much that is. I don't know if they're skinny or fat with kilograms. Your guess is as good as mine. It's possible that it means that they were between 800 and 1,000 pounds. It's a pretty good size armadillo. Anyway, we are guessing that humans were there a lot earlier in South America and Venezuela a lot earlier than we thought.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Oh, really? Yeah. You know, there were giant birds of prey, giant saber-tooth cats. Most of these spectacular species have gone extinct. Do you think? The capabara is still around, but it's not, I'm sure it's not, there's no 1,000-pound canvabaras, are there? The capabaras?
Starting point is 00:24:05 No, I don't think they're 1,000 pounds. There are some pretty big ones, but they're not, they're not armadillo-sized. It's just amazing to me that everything changes when we're for sure about one thing, no matter what we're sure about it, the science doesn't change. And yet, it kind of does. And it kind of changes almost every day. So in today's Fat Five, chewing the Fat Daily Fat Five, Goldman Sachs paid more than $12 million to a departing exec who accused senior leaders of overseeing a toxic workplace for women and making vulgar
Starting point is 00:24:51 comments about them. Wow. Maybe that's not good news. I mean, if you are doing that, you may get a good payout. I doubt it. Your company probably isn't going to give you $12 billion if you are overseeing a toxic workplace and making vulgar comments. S.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Day Lauder will buy Tom Ford for two. $2.8 billion. So it's a good day for Tom Ford. In Idaho, a sad story. Four University of Idaho students were found dead off campus. Likely, every story I see talks about from an edged weapon such as a knife. Why is that? It's so weird to me.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I'm sorry they died. I guess that means there's a serial killer out there, but it's just they likely died from an edged weapon such as a knife. But information surrounding the case is still scarce, and we'll get more as the investigation continues. Number four in the Daily Fat Five, I see where BDE Pete Davidson is back at it again, holding hands with Emily Radikowsky.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I guess they were apparently holding hands. So it didn't take long after he split from Kim. So amazing. Amazing. He definitely got the BDE. Now I saw a good joke about, which is actually a joke now, that Giselle, Tom Brady's ex-wife,
Starting point is 00:26:38 was going to be, with Pete Davidson very soon. Ha! That still could happen. Just not right away. Giselle is now, I guess, dating her martial arts instructor. Now, they claim all her people say she's definitely not dating her martial arts instructor, but, man, all the pictures of Giselle doing her martial arts, they did a video of her
Starting point is 00:27:06 going through her martial art moves with this instructor, Yaquim Valente, walking outside with Joaquin Valente. So if there's no business going on, that is just to put a little stab in the heart of Tom. And I don't know that it's a stab in the heart of Tom with just a regular knife or one that's an edged weapon but it's definitely
Starting point is 00:27:41 doing that. So who knows? I mean, maybe Giselle will end up with Pete and it'll all work out in the end. This episode is brought to you by Peloton. I was just sitting here in the studios here at Mercury Studios. and Chris Cruz stopped in.
Starting point is 00:28:46 And we started talking about Elon and I was like, all right, wait, wait, wait. We'll just do it for the show because Elon's top story. Dude. Top story in the world now. He's taking it. I mean, he's the guy.
Starting point is 00:28:59 You know, yesterday I was thinking, what is Jack Dorsey thinking right now? Well, he created this big mammoth. Yes, he did. Then decided to step away and give it to whoever. What was his name again? 7-11. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:13 And then I can't even remember the guy's name now. Exactly. I want to say RuPaul, but I know that's not. RuPaul. It's Patil. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, something. Like I said, 7-Eleven.
Starting point is 00:29:26 Yes. And Elon comes in, says, I love this. I love this place. Wait, they're censoring people that I like, even the jokers. I'm going to go by this place. And then comes in, and we all know that he has. Asperger's, you know. Jeffie.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I know. I mean, we've... It's on full display. Every day. Every single day, Elon Asperger is taken over him. I mean, he's said other times, we talked about it before where he has said that he doesn't get sarcasm. No. And that's...
Starting point is 00:30:05 100%. That's the spectrum. That's the spectrum. I get it. Yep. I get it. I feel that. that a lot of people saying,
Starting point is 00:30:15 oh, well, he's going to burn it down. I don't think he's going to burn it down because he's so in the spectrum that he's going to break it, absolutely. I 100% feel like he's breaking it down. He's starving the people. Okay, $400 a day for a meal. You boozy people are going to be okay.
Starting point is 00:30:34 And the cool thing about Elon, I love how he fights back. He fights back. Again, this is the spectrum kid. Coming out, we fight back with numbers. When the employee, the disgrunt employees said, oh, no, the meals were like $20 to $25. He's like, okay, true.
Starting point is 00:30:51 But what about the staff? The staff that was cooking it. All of it. We're paying for all the whole. Yes. And then they were like, it was a 10% on average of you guys coming in. Right. So yes, it will add up to $400 per person.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Because, and I'm like, see, That is the full on as per-in. Absolutely. And I love it. Well, that's why he's the richest guy in the world. That's why he's the richest guy in the world. Because he pays attention to the stupid little thing. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:31:21 100%. But I feel like he's going to burn it down. 100%. He's going to burn it down. And like he said, he already said it. I will make mistakes. Yep. He said it.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And he's hired a couple people back now. He said a mistake. It's always important to admit when you're wrong. Yep. He sent him a nice Rolex. And then there's probably, you know, with the lunch thing, is he going to still have the coffee? bar open. Absolutely. But he's not going to have the chef be there for breakfast, lunch,
Starting point is 00:31:47 and dinner. And then by dinner, he said no one comes in. So why am I going to spend time with a chef and the sous chef and the cleaning lady? And no, God, you know what I want to do? I'll bring Roberto with his chimichanga cart for lunch. And then that's all you get. But he's starving the employees by doing that. Oh my God. What? The 10% of employees that come in. in? So now you're right, right. Of what was left. Of what was left. Yeah. And then the one employee that everybody's so mad about right is where he, they fired him on Twitter. I feel like that was a, that would have been better done had he. Well, think about it. Okay. So it's like you getting fired over the radio on the Blais. Right. It doesn't matter. It's still you work.
Starting point is 00:32:37 So Jeffie, you're fired. Okay. That's what he did. That hurts. That's what he did. He went to Twitter. Twitter still, you know. If I was complaining about something. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Yeah. Yeah. You're using the platform to bash your own company. You're fired. Your own company and you're coming against me. Yeah. The guy that just bought the dump. Way overly paid for the joint.
Starting point is 00:33:08 You don't think he's going to fire you over Twitter. Right, right. So, all right, so now we've come to find out that he's asking, and this might be too much. This might be too much, Chris. He wants people to work hard. So wait a minute. So you're starving me to death. You expect me to show up and work hard?
Starting point is 00:33:34 Well, he sent out a memo that said, you need to commit to extremely hardcore work. or leave. I feel like this is this is concentration camp status right now. Thank you. This is... Thank you.
Starting point is 00:33:52 We're all chained up together and we're breaking rocks and making license plates. You know, it's very interesting that people are going to come against him on that. But if they don't know Elon's story where he slept in the Tesla
Starting point is 00:34:07 building factory because they wanted to push and push and push. And he said, well, my employees are sleeping here. I'm sleeping here too. Like, and I love the meme. I love the meme because, Jeffrey, you know they're driving his vehicle. You know, all those bougie people in San Francisco headquarters are driving Tesla.
Starting point is 00:34:29 So not only, he's getting it from both ends. So not only I'm going to fire your ass. You're going to drive to your house that probably has my solar panels, my batteries, my charging station, and my vehicle. isn't he having the last laugh right now? Absolutely. And he said, going forward to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world,
Starting point is 00:34:56 you're going to need to work. I mean, that's long hours. Yes. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade. Hugh Bastard. By the way, and again, respect. Don't. We'll mess with that.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I just don't. Well, then you patting to your screen. Just stop doing what you're doing. I like doing this. I think it's driving me crazy. It makes too much noise. Does it?
Starting point is 00:35:20 Yes. Okay, then I apologize. It's my retardation coming out. If you think I'm going to apologize back, you're wrong. Just speak now. I don't expect you're to apologize. I'm sorry to.
Starting point is 00:35:35 If you thought I wanted your apology, you misread this entire conversation here. anyways but that memo shows again his Asperger yes absolutely it shows completely like and I just don't understand it Jeffie maybe I'm from the wrong generation maybe you're from the wrong generation most definitely but when my boss expects to work hard like I've worked for years with the with the mindset of
Starting point is 00:36:10 I remember punching a time clock. Oh, like the little like two-cunched them all. And that was, man, that was a long time ago. Publix? Win Dixie.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Wing-Dixie. Dang it. I knew it was one of those two. How dare you? I took my shot and fail on that one. But all the broadcast years before, even before Win Dixie, but all the broadcast years since then,
Starting point is 00:36:40 has been, there's been no time clock. When it's work. We've had this conversation. Yes. When it's work, you work. When you don't work, when it's time not to work, then you don't work. You know, this is a conversation. This is a conversation.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Me and you have had for the last six, seven years. Yes. Because you're absolutely right. If you're in this industry, and that includes Twitter. Yes. Twitter is in the broadcasting. Yes. You never have a day off.
Starting point is 00:37:07 You don't. And I know producers and other. the people that work in media are listening to your podcast, they're absolutely yelling at the vehicles right now saying yes. Yes. Of course not. If you come to a TV studio radio station, Twitter, Facebook with a mindset that this is a nine to five job, you will fail 100%. Get out. Get out. In fact, let me quote Elon Moss. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. Extremely hardcore work. Commit to it or leave when you're not
Starting point is 00:37:40 breathing and living whatever you work space is you're doing it wrong yeah you're absolutely doing it wrong be sure to follow me at jeffey jf r on twitter blue checkmark by the way still
Starting point is 00:37:52 oh me too me too you know what so upset about the blue check mark is you do not have a blue check mark I've been a blue Twitter blue blue for the longest time Twitter blue blue check mark though not a verified no you do not Okay. Go ahead. Tell your story.
Starting point is 00:38:09 No, no, no, no. I want the audience to experience you going to at Real Chris Cruz. Follow me there. It's blue verified checked. Oh, yeah, it is. How long have you had that? Okay. Back to my story. I've always had... I'm pissed. These blue check marks mean nothing anymore. I've had the blue check mark. Man, I'm not. I've been Twitter blue when it was $2.99.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Okay. Right, right, right. Right. Then it was $4.99 and now it's $7.99. Okay, but he's put a pause on it now, right? Yes. He's backed it off again, right? Yeah. Well, I've been so long that I was like grandfather in into the blue checkmark, Twitter blue.
Starting point is 00:38:49 So I have my blue checkmark because, and if you click on my blue checkmark, it'll say it. It says it's because I'm a Twitter blue member. Oh, yeah. Okay. Verified account. Subscribe to Twitter Blue. Yeah. So now everybody knows that I'm a Twitter Blue.
Starting point is 00:39:03 I'm like, I don't like that. Right. Because now you know that I'm a Twitter blue person. Because it does have great extra stuff if you live in a producer's life. Because there's some stuff that you don't get to see that I see now with Twitter Blue, which is like what is actually trending and what is actually people when they're trending, what is actually they're talking about, not just a hashtag. And what are they clicking on?
Starting point is 00:39:33 It's giving me more than just like what's trending. It is cool if you are wanting to be a good producer for a news station. That's kind of cool. I mean, mine is just verified because it's, I have, you belong to a newspaper. Oh, dude. I hate. Oh, dude. I hate.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Read the first line again. A notable what? Notable in government. Oh, guys. So. News. News entertainment or another designated category. That's all.
Starting point is 00:39:57 I've just verified because of that. Yeah. Did you see this story that Elon was talking about how people were. We're paying $15,000. I couldn't believe that. I couldn't believe that. Now, here's some back for it on how in newsrunner's should we'll do that. Each news reputable news organization will have a Twitter representative assigned to them.
Starting point is 00:40:18 And we did. We did. And when they assigned us a Twitter person, a Facebook person, a YouTube person, they said, give us all your talent and we'll verify them. There you go. Which is fair. Which is fair. It's 100% fair.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Because we've had this. We had this conversation with you of you not getting verification. because Homeboy got it and I didn't get it and I was really pissed about that. Anyway, see, now you just started this enough again. I did it again. I'm sorry. But you don't have to worry about that now. I have to worry about now.
Starting point is 00:40:45 I got a blue check warrant now. I mean, you're not verified because of your notable in government news entertainment. And then if you click on over here, he will say also that he's a notable government and I just say it's Twitter blue. But you know why? It's water under the bridge.
Starting point is 00:40:58 It is. We'll have a blue check mark. That's right. Everybody's blue. Everybody's blue. Everybody's blue. Everybody's blue. But the one thing about that is, think about how Elon destroyed that market in a heartbeat because social media companies,
Starting point is 00:41:17 like PR companies, were charging, let's say, Jeffrey, oh, Jeffrey, you want to be a star? Okay, you want to be a singer? Okay. Our package includes, we'll get you verified on all the platforms, and you have to pay us for that. Right. Done. Right. Done.
Starting point is 00:41:33 All those PR companies and social media. companies are dead have a nice day so he disrupted that so you know all these PR companies around the world like oh crap we lost one of our easiest cash baby because we all have a repressive representative from Twitter and oh I said hey at jfmire yeah he's with us go ahead and blue check it okay okay okay jeffy that'll be $15,000 and you don't know as a rising star you don't know oh I only thought, I'm like, oh, that's the power we have. No, that's the power we have. That's the power here.
Starting point is 00:42:07 We have a Chris Cruz. Chris Cruz Enterprises. We get you verified because we see him. He disrupted that. Yeah, he sure did. I don't think he knew that he disrupted that. No, that's an added benefit for him. That's an added benefit.
Starting point is 00:42:22 And that's why he is one of the richest men in the world. I'm really torn between the paying for the blue check marks. I really am. In what way? I don't know. Do you feel that is you blue checkmark is no longer blue important? Well, I mean, it's verified because it's notable in government news entertainment or another designated category.
Starting point is 00:42:44 And it's a click on mind, it says, because I'm just Twitter blue. Yeah, I mean. No, it's just a weird thing. I think, I think maybe it is. I think maybe that is a little bit of the tornness is. You no longer feel special. Yeah. I think maybe it is.
Starting point is 00:42:57 And it's not true. I mean, it's still, it's a Twitter account with, you know, followers, a thousand, the followers, people listen to this show, follow me on Twitter. I love being honest. And they send you stories. I see them saying news stories. I love to be honest. Yeah, they send me stuff all the time.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I love it. I appreciate it. So it's not that. I just, I don't know. I don't know. I'm just torn. I know you don't want to go longer, but should Trump go on Twitter? He announced.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Yeah, I know. Congratulations. Yay. So should he go to? Yeah, I'm excited about that, huh? Man, excited about that. Ivanka's not even excited. Ivanka's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Okay. Yeah, I'm going to stay on with the. You can't do this. You can't do this. I can't do this. Because I know you want to, I know you want to cut it. I see you looking at your clock. You can't just throw that and just let me walk away.
Starting point is 00:43:43 What was that all about? Who knows? That's going to hurt. So if Ivanka's out, is Melania out? She was there last night, though. Ivanka wasn't. Ivanka didn't even show up for the Mar-a-Lago party. I mean, that's really drawn the land.
Starting point is 00:44:00 I mean, drawing the line on the sand. I'm not like, so is Jared? Yeah, she said they were, did not want to be involved in the politics. But is that because the guy so because. Well, there's still, the thing is. I think it's Kanye. I think it has to do with Kanye. Well, Jared still has a big deal to do with the, the, uh, Israel.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Israel. There's no point did you do with that. There's no point. Why? You're doing that. He did Israel. He did Israel. Prison reform.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Oh, prison reform. Because I know of some people in the DFW area who are involved in that with Jared. And so he still got that going on. Ivanka, I don't know, I feel like that hurts down, not having Ivanka there. Just simply because I feel like she was the one. She was a moderate. She was a moderate. And she would be able to say, Dad, stop whining.
Starting point is 00:44:58 I'll give you that. Or somebody would come out and be pissed that your dad's. raging about something and she would just be like let it go yeah he knows he can't do it he just wants to bitch about it and then so does that mean that Tiffany now takes the rain because she's been our girl she's been our girl they don't like Tiffany they don't like Tiffany but she's been our girl though like we've liked Tiffany I know we've liked it we were on the record even before everybody's all like oh look at Tiffany's wedding now you see her I know because me and Jeffie saw her when no one was seeing her that's for sure Tiffany we saw you before everybody saw her
Starting point is 00:45:31 Dad was pissed at her when she started, you know, expanding out. 100%. She looked good at the wedding, though. Oh, she looked great. Yes. And you see the picture with all of them there. I'm looking for the one picture, the one lineup of all the girls. Yeah, when Melania cut out, Guilford?
Starting point is 00:45:48 No, that was a mistake. That was Ivanka, right? Ivanka cut her off. No, Melania. It was Melania. I don't think so. On the Instagram, I thought that was. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:57 I thought that was Ivanka. I thought that was Ivanka. I thought that was Ivanka. I don't think so. I think it was Ivanka. Anyway, they cut her off. Yeah, but big deal. So she was wearing a god-offal black dress. What is she doing there?
Starting point is 00:46:08 Not just that, it ruins the blonde spectrum. Thank you. It ruined the whole picture. No wonder if she got cut. Sorry, we cut you off. Shut up. You're lucky you're in the original picture. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:16 You're lucky junior is still seeing you. We've told him to kick you to the curb. So is that another, is that another Prince Harry and Megan debacle in the Trump family? Yeah. I think so, too. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, sorry. I love this.
Starting point is 00:46:29 This tweet here has got the, all lined up they got them all rowed up for the wedding picture it says Trump family Christian family values imagine standing between your mom and the chick your dad cheated on your mom with who is standing next to your half sister whose mom your dad cheated on with your mom and funny business right there and that's why the black community loves Trump I was watching a send-up comedian you mega mega mega Election denier, Republican, Chris Cruz. By the way, all I say this is I'm all in the Trump train.
Starting point is 00:47:12 I'm all in. I just want to shove Trump down dirt throat. I know you're looking at your clacks, so I'll leave. Yeah, but... I just want... I don't care. Even? Yep. Don't care. He can grab him. He can literally do... You know what he could do actually now?
Starting point is 00:47:30 He can actually send up in Fifth Avenue and show. family and shoot somebody and I'm like that's my president. Now he could for real do that and grab him by the hoo-ha and all that stuff. He can now do it. He could have done that already. Like he can now do that. Now he can actually pull a Alec Baldwin and shoot someone. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:53 So is that's not going to bring him back for Trump or is he done? Because he's suing the Ross company. I know. I've just talked about it. But we can't say his name out of the show without gunshots going off. So, you know, when you hear the gunshots, just remember the rules. Those are the rules. Those are the rules have not been broken yet.
Starting point is 00:48:10 I didn't know those rules. Oh, yeah. So when his name, when I say Alec Baldwin, you hear that. When I say Alec, you hear that. And then I say you got to, I kind of tread lightly. It's Mr. Baldwin. I can get away with that. Ah, you can get away with that.
Starting point is 00:48:28 He's suing to Russ. I know. Do you not listen to the show? Get out. We're done. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at the blaze.com slash podcasts.
