Starting point is 00:00:00 Is it the matcha or am I this energized from scoring three Sephora holiday gift sets? Definitely the sets. Full size and minis bundled together? What a steal. And that packaging? So cute. It practically wraps itself. And I know I should be giving them away, but I'm keeping the Summer Fridays and Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez. I don't blame you. The best holiday beauty sets are only at Sephora. Gift sets from Summer Fridays, Rare Beauty, Way, and more are going fast.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Get full-sized favorites and must-have minis bundled for more value. Shop before they're gone. In-store online at Sephora.com. Blaze Radio Network And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. So as I was listening to the Ag report this morning, they're telling me about we're in the midst of a series of invasive fruit fly infestations. Oh no. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Well, I mean, maybe not the whole country, but for sure in northern and southern California, including the first ever quarantines in the Western Hemisphere for two flies, the Queensland fruit fly and the Tao fruit fly. Residents in quarantine areas, and they've actually documented quarantine areas in Southern California,
Starting point is 00:01:11 are urged not to move homegrown produce from their property. Do not take that grapefruit off your property, or we will shoot you dead. That is not what they said, but that's what I said. Although they are welcome to consume it on the premises. That's nice. That's nice.
Starting point is 00:01:28 They're allowing you, the California and the United States Department of Food and Agriculture, are allowing you to eat your own fruit on your own property. Isn't that nice of them? I really appreciate it. So, just be on the lookout for the Queensland fruit fly and the tau fruit fly. And if you can't tell the difference, I mean, I don't know. I don't know what to tell you. You just don't know your fruit fly.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Can I say fruit flies? Yeah, you don't know the difference. Then, now we have a new expansion to a recall. Remember, we had the big recall of cucumbers sold at Walmart stores in multiple states. Well, this week, we've announced that that original recall has been expanded to include additional stores, states, and varieties of produce. Wait, what? It's not just the cucumbers? No, it is not.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Remember, I don't know, maybe two weeks ago, we had the cucumber out of an abundance of caution was possible hysteria contamination. And we want to be clear, there have been no reported illnesses to date. But out of, say it with me now, out of an abundance of caution, Weir's Farm, Inc. of Willard, Ohio, love Willard, Ohio, this time of year. is just expanding the recall.
Starting point is 00:02:54 The produce involved in this expanded recall was packed July 5th and July 12th and was distributed in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. And then you can just check your stores for the Weirs brand. Holy cow. I mean, we've got Anaheim peppers, cilantro, Cuban L peppers, cucumbers, cucumbers, green, beans, green bell pepper, habanero peppers, Hungarian wax peppers, jalapeno peppers, mixed vegetable box, mustard grains, pickling cucumber, plain parsley, Poblano peppers, sororano peppers, domitils, wow, holy cow.
Starting point is 00:03:36 So just be on the lookout at your local grocer for the recalled items. Because if you're in the produce department and you're wondering, hey, what happened to all my peppers and cucumbers? Yeah, we pulled them off. A part of the recall. So, good luck. The show hasn't barely started.
Starting point is 00:03:58 We're just getting on our feet, and we have breaking news today. When we hear that sound here, two in the fact, that means we have breaking news. As I said, and our man on the street, breaking news reporter, Chris Cruz, man on the scene. Yes. Good night, gentlemen. Jeff, I, I'm here in the border of the state. The United We've
Starting point is 00:04:21 just we've to arrest the cartel leader the
Starting point is 00:04:27 Mayo and the son of the son the son right right
Starting point is 00:04:35 right right right in the States not saying now
Starting point is 00:04:39 that an official of the United arrested the two
Starting point is 00:04:42 chamakos the mayo is the leader of the
Starting point is 00:04:47 Mexico cartel without Loa and they're trying to to cross the United but
Starting point is 00:04:54 you know you know you're so the son of the son of the notorious
Starting point is 00:05:02 chapo or Joaquin Guzman the son of him was just arrested in the United States of America in El Paso, Texas
Starting point is 00:05:16 and so they're all happy they're touting that and as you can see we've got our man on the street. Are you in El Paso as we speak? Yes, I'm in El Paso. The governor of the States
Starting point is 00:05:27 Unitos has a reward until 15,000 millions of dollars. I don't know if anyone point, I don't know who found him. They just said that he was in the U.S. and they arrested him. I don't know if anyone got the money or not.
Starting point is 00:05:42 I don't know if you were the one that pointed him out calling the government saying, yeah, he's in El Paso right now. Do you want the money or you just want to be left alone? Yeah, no kidding. Zambada and Guzman are two traffickers that have more than 10,000 libras of drug,
Starting point is 00:06:04 mandating all to the United. And also have a report of violence. And the FBI, the FBI director, Christopher Ray, He says that now those two personalities are going to have justice here in the States
Starting point is 00:06:22 and not going to go back to Mexico. Now he has said in past interviews that he did not want to be incarcerated and that he would take his own life
Starting point is 00:06:33 instead of being incarcerated. So I hope he's on life watch or death watch or whatever you want to call it. One of the authorities Mexican that no have
Starting point is 00:06:43 have given a comment in the arrest and that is very suspicious that we
Starting point is 00:06:51 thank you in the studios much thanks thank you I feel like we got
Starting point is 00:06:56 breaking news from our reporter Chris Chris cruise man out
Starting point is 00:06:59 the street I think he forgot which show he was calling
Starting point is 00:07:03 into but I appreciate it thank you and I appreciate it good
Starting point is 00:07:07 we've got another another cartel member behind bars here
Starting point is 00:07:11 in the U.S and how how much better do you feel about America
Starting point is 00:07:14 now Welcome. Welcome to Chewing the Fat. If you're listening live, today is the 26th of July, 24. We had our live breaking news report. And I also want to remind those of you in Massachusetts, this is the last weekend for you to get free ice cream. There's the Eskimo King in Swanisi has been participating in the I Pledge Project for years. So during this whole month of National Ice Cream Month, every Monday between 4 and 7 p.m. Kids 12 and under who come in and recite the Pledge of Allegiance get free ice cream. So you have one more Monday to go for those of you listening live to bring your kids in and say,
Starting point is 00:08:10 hey, say the Pledge of Allegiance and get a free ice cream cone. So I hope this takes place. The project was launched way back in 2010 in Georgia, but this is actually happening now, maybe happening in ice cream. Now, you know what? Just go to an ice cream place and recite the Pledge of Allegiance, see if you get a free ice cream cone.
Starting point is 00:08:34 You say, I thought that was the deal. I say the Pledge of Allegiance and you give me a free ice cream cone. Just see what they say. So this has me a little concern. One of the world's largest producers and processors of frozen French fries, waffle fries, and other frozen potato products reported fourth quarter profit and sales that missed estimates. So the company also issued a below consensus full year adjusted outlook due to sliding global restaurant traffic. So their earnings are down.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Does that mean we're going to have less frozen French fries and frozen potato products? I do not like the sound of that at all. That is a very concerning thing. Okay, so this company also, this lamb Weston, is a major French fry supplier for McDonald's. Ooh, that's McDonald's hold up. And the global traffic and frozen potato demand softened due to the menu price inflation.
Starting point is 00:09:38 And negatively affecting global restaurant traffic, Yeah, yeah, just keep telling everybody they've got to pay $25,000 an hour and watch the prices go up and they have. So it's very concerning. I don't care what we have to do to turn this around, but we cannot have any kind of shortage in frozen potato products. And you can quote me on that. You know, there are so many things that you have to take into account when you want to buy or sell a house. and there's various home valuation tools that we never seem to be on the same page with. And they're, you know, apparently these guarded secrets.
Starting point is 00:10:26 And we have to find out, you know, that you're wrong if you're trying to sell it yourself, what you need to do. And I'm just going to tell you this right out loud, okay? If you're looking to buy or sell a house, go to real estate agents. I trust.com. Hello. Real estate agents, I trust. Pairs you with the best real estate agent in your area.
Starting point is 00:10:49 So someone who knows the best practices, someone who understands the crazy housing market and knows the fluctuations and knows the different comparisons to make to get you the best price they possibly can, someone who's a team leader and a closer, someone you can trust. So if you're thinking about buying or selling a home, or both, get in touch with them.
Starting point is 00:11:12 You'll see exactly what I mean. estate agents I trust. The name pretty much says it all. It started a number of years ago when a guy down the hall from me, Glenn Beck, got so fed up with not being able to sell a home because he was going through real estate agents that didn't know what they were doing. He decided that he wasn't probably not the only one having that issue. So we wanted to get together and find out what it takes to become a super real estate agent. And that's exactly what they did with real estate agents. So buy, sell, or both, real estateagents. I trust.com.
Starting point is 00:11:51 Real estate agents I trust. Dot com. With Amex Platinum, $400 in annual credits for travel and dining means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. So the numbers are starting to climb with the lot of. We got mega millions.
Starting point is 00:12:28 That drawing is tonight. 726, 2024 for $143.8 million jackpot. No, that's the payout. Oh, man, it's $306 million cash payout. I can't even get it right.
Starting point is 00:12:43 It's $306 million jackpot, $143.8 million cash payout. That's tonight. Man. I don't even, it doesn't matter to me, whether it's $143 or $306 million. I just want to win.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Powerball is 131 million jackpot with a $62.8 million jackpot. That drawing is tomorrow the 27th of July, 24. I did see where a couple of people here in DFW won a million dollars. One lady, and I say lady, okay, so it could be a guy. We don't know. They chose to remain anonymous. but the first winner won a million dollars from a 7-Eleven in Plano, Texas. And the second winner claimed a million dollars from a racetrack in Allen, Texas.
Starting point is 00:13:33 So it's, you know, DFW, the greater Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Congratulations. It'd be nice to be able to haul in, you know, just a quick million. Wouldn't be able to get the super yacht that I want, but, you know, that's okay. I see where the 88-year-old billionaire just took delivery of his brand new $300 million super yacht. The 302 feet-long drizzle packs a mammoth one megawatt battery pack. One of the most efficient luxury vessels in the world. Yeah, that's great.
Starting point is 00:14:09 That's wonderful. 92-meter yacht. Story, of course, is in metric. I mean, it's, you know, it's a 300-foot yacht. It looks beautiful. the he's the fashion clothing brand Zara he's worth I don't know
Starting point is 00:14:26 111 billion or whatever he's like the 12th richest person in the world and he's had other yachts just this particular super yacht like his other yacht was only 220 foot I spit I don't even want to look at that
Starting point is 00:14:42 that maybe can tow my new yacht out okay this one is a full hybrid electric class. Man, it looks beautiful. It would be really tough to say no to it. Okay, so it has an understated family home replete with natural materials and finishes throughout.
Starting point is 00:15:06 It features a total of five cabins that can accommodate up to 14 guests. Furthermore, a crew of 18 members is needed to operate the super yacht. Yeah, I mean, you can't just play it on. You're not driving that thing yourself. You have a massive main deck pool. State-of-the-art beach club with dual fold-down platforms.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Owner suite, family lounge, wellness area on the upper decks. The sun deck doubles as a vantage point with a forward-facing sofa and sun loungers. A side-loading garage is situated between the engine room and the beach club. That stores, you can... Door of your little 10-meter boats and your ski boats and all your other little water toys. It is beautiful. The state-of-the-art propulsion unit can't even speak. I don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:16:00 So it has the assisted pair of electric motors, the 560 watt each, which draw power from the 1MW lyeon battery pack. The E-motors can work as a shaft generators to produce electricity or propel the vessel at low speeds. It offers a perfect balance between top-notch performance and environmental responsibility. And you're not getting that with a million from the powerball. I guarantee you that. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. So good news.
Starting point is 00:16:38 There's going to be two share the memoirs because one couldn't hold everything we need to know about share. from Share. So part one is going to be available November 19th, 2024. They've unveiled the cover, features a black and white photograph of Cher in her signature dark lock, some winged eyeliner, her face resting on its side with her hand overhead.
Starting point is 00:17:08 And she, her name boldly displayed at the bottom. And she said, well, I give fans an inside look at my successful career, groundbreaking successful career. 78 now. Cher says the story of her growing up as a dyslexic child
Starting point is 00:17:26 with a chaotic upbringing and dreams of becoming famous. She also touches on meeting and marrying Sonny Bono and their tumultuous relationship that made them famous worldwide, yet drove them apart. And she talks about her son, Elijah Blue Alman, that she had with her second. ex-husband, Greg Allman, and her first child, Chas Bono. She had that child in 69, I think, and then they filed for divorce in 74.
Starting point is 00:18:02 So she apparently was not fully prepared to share her whole story. That's what it's about. I don't know anybody told you this, share, when you're writing a memoir. But I guess she decided that some of the stories she chickened out on and didn't on to talk about. Well, she better not check it out for part two. Because if I have to sit through part one, like Horizon, the American saga,
Starting point is 00:18:26 and I'm looking forward to part two, and now you're going to make me wait because part one wasn't that great. Don't do it. Don't follow that game plan, share. Get to it. You're disappointing me. You're disappointing. Oh, my gosh. That's breaking news.
Starting point is 00:18:43 When you hear that sounder, that means there's breaking news here on chewing the fat. and our man on the street Chris Cruz was reporting on breaking news. Chris. I'm going to go ahead and put it I've got to go ahead and put the translator on.
Starting point is 00:19:00 I must have put the wrong button on. Hold on a second. The last, I let it go the last report because he was down in El Paso, but we're not doing that now. All right, let's see this. Chris Cruz.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Jeffrey, thank you for saying to England. Who meant the translator still works? That's good. Wait, you didn't have it on? I did not. Do you do know that when I speak to the mic is in Spanish? I do now. I do now, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Okay, make sure that button is always on. You were reporting the last time you called, you were on the breaking news, you were reporting on, you know, a cartel member being arrested. So I figured, that's what, you know, whatever. Oh, I got it. Even with the translator on,
Starting point is 00:19:36 it's still going through a Spanish. Yeah. Okay, well, I apologize for that. If you want to go back, I'll make sure you can turn on the English translation or in your own phone, but only works if you have the new iOS 14 beta. If you don't have the iOS 14 beta,
Starting point is 00:19:53 you cannot translate what I was saying. And I apologize for that. Oh, we got info. And we haven't even gotten to whatever breaking news you have for us. That's great. I'm here in England. Our favorite people. That's a fast trip from El Paso.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Thank you. Well, you know, I travel quick. Our favorite people are back on the news. And Prince William, the future king of England. I mean, I didn't report it yet. And I don't know if this is your. breaking news but I mean he made like they announced that he made 30 million from last year titles one title yes and he refused to he refuses to say how much he
Starting point is 00:20:27 he makes breaking a 30 year tradition by king charles because I'm the king I'm I'm soon to be king now so why don't you just back off okay I got a sick wife I got kids running around crazy I got a footman that doesn't understand the par way to shine my shoes life's hell for me right now okay Well, come to find out, not only he got $30 million, he started looking at the books and realized that Queen Camille's sister. Stop calling her. I'm sorry, I know you're a reporter and you have to report the facts, but it's not Queen Camilla. Okay, so let me turn on the CTF.
Starting point is 00:21:06 We say her name on this show. I don't know what the hell we're thinking about, but when we say Camilla on chewing the fat, I expect to hear. Thank you. That was the next button to the translator. So let me fix that. Queen consort Camille's sister, Annabel Elliott, has been on the payroll for 20 years. What? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:21:31 And he decided to blackline that and end the payroll. Wow. So dad has been paying off Camilla. seven and five. Sister. Yes. Just writing her a check every year. Or at least once a month or every one.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Now. Quarterly, I don't know if they're taking taxes out of those quarterly payments. But, you know, she's just giving her money every year. That's incredible. It didn't say how much, though. It did. Oh. We'll get there.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Like I said, I'm here. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm here in England. I got all the information. I don't mean to step on your reporter. Now, according to the audit that Prince William asked, she was being paid because. of her interior design
Starting point is 00:22:14 that she did in Carmel where the title is, right? Now, you just asked me the question, well, Chris, we don't know how much she was paid. Well, she's been on the payroll since 2005 as the chief designer of the state right after they tied the knot.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Okay. With Queen Consort Camille. So he has, he's only been paying her since they were married. Yes. See, I was thinking that maybe he was paying her off. To keep her sure. Yeah, keep the mind.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I mean, maybe this is, look, when I, when we get married, I'll give you some money. So why don't you just shut up? Now, since then, Elliot, Camille's sister has ranked hundreds of thousands of dollars for her work. Wow. Including the design of Dutchy holiday cottage. Which is beautiful. I mean, that cottage is so great. Actually, we've seen pick.
Starting point is 00:23:06 We have. Yeah. I say this that I'm thinking, well, I've seen that cottage because they showed it off. how it was supposed to look so great. Yes. Now, I have a sorcerer inside the palace that tells me that William, King, William, decided to terminate Elliot's employment, but... Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:23:26 I can't stress enough that this is no indication of any bad blood or dissatisfaction with her work. End of quote. Uh-huh. We was trying to cut some corners. We did. Now, let's go back to you as, well, Chris, we don't know how much she made. Well, you said hundreds of thousands. Hundreds of thousands.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Now, according to the integrated, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm reading the report. Integrated annual report Wednesday says that ELE has been paid in the normal, quote, in the normal courses of business and on the arms length basis, ranging amounts between $25,000 and $105,000 to maintain the royal family rental properties as well as the Dutchy office. But that's total or is that monthly? Is that yearly? I don't know how often she got that. Because if it's total, I mean, $25,000, that's like pocket change. That's not even pocket change. That's 2005.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Right. Okay. Here we go, because there's more. If you let me finish. I understand that there will be more. Each year, Camille's sister Elliot. It's Camilla, but go ahead. Was also reimbursed from...
Starting point is 00:24:41 averages of $9,000 to $116,000 for her because she had to purchase some furniture, decor, and retail stock to report. I can't just go to the store. I mean, you can't because you're the king, but you can't just go to the store and say, hey, send it over. Now, she also sent another bill because, you know, she's not working for free, even though, you know, Camille. So she's charging them each time? I'm still confused.
Starting point is 00:25:07 We have not gotten it if it's yearly, if it's quarterly, if it's quarterly, if it's And every time, and this is where, you know, this is where it ends, it looks like every time she got to oversee any refurbishments. That's what she charged. That's what she charged. Okay. So, for example, she was hired to oversee the refurbishment of a 20-bedroom pub at the King's Poundbury development in Dorset, as well as lodge for guests at Dumfrey's house of Ashire in Scotland. So every time they got together and she whined about not having any money, he was like, okay, here's a house. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Just let her go up to the, let her go up to Palmer and refix the, refix the, however. Camilla's like, you know you don't like that place. You're just remarking how bad it was the other day. And so why did you just let her go up and fix it?
Starting point is 00:25:55 Oh, now this is where I don't believe the whole bad blood issue. Oh, no way. He hates her. Because she was cheating on, on his dad when his mother was alive. Stop.
Starting point is 00:26:10 bit. And we all know that William has done the same thing when Kate was... Let's not bog me down with facts. I'm talking about William and Camilla here. Okay, got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. This is where I think the whole bad blood goes up because despite her extensive work with the Royals, that once the report revealed that for the first time
Starting point is 00:26:30 in 20 years, she did not get paid for 2023 and 2024. She did not get a paycheck last year. the sister the sister yeah so he's he's done yeah we're not paying her
Starting point is 00:26:45 yeah which it makes sense doesn't william need anything fixed up here doesn't he need anything remodeled up here do you know 100% she's talking to her sister yes I thought we had a deal here I thought you said if I keep
Starting point is 00:27:01 my mouth shot of you having sex with the king I will get work he hasn't called me in two years It's not up to him anymore. The last time you told me to go fix something up, it was in 2023. I'm over here getting scraps. I'm struggling here.
Starting point is 00:27:18 I'm struggling here. Thank you. Dude, that's why I think that's exactly right. That's exactly right. That's exactly right. Because he was like, wait. And Charles was off the hook because he's like, I'm trying here. Look, I got cancer myself, okay?
Starting point is 00:27:32 Leave me alone. I'm trying here. But that's up to William now. I gave that over to William. You got to go talk to him. And William is like, you know, I think Kate can do that from her cancer bed, from her cancer stricken bed.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Kate can tell us what we need to look like in that cottage. Go ahead. You're dismissed. Or maybe my insider can tell me who is the new interior decider. Oh, because that might be Williams. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:04 That is what we need on our next report. Is William because it was the neighbor when she was pregnant. But now we're figuring that it's a new designer now that the wife is in bed with cancer, you bastard. Thank Chris Kerr's reporting live. A man on the street here on chewing the fat. You know, speaking of affairs, I see where Oprah Winfrey and Gail King believe that they have shut down old lesbian rumors. They said in a podcast, if we were gay, we would tell you, would you.
Starting point is 00:28:39 you would you because this friendship friendship goes back years and years and years and years and Oprah and Gail and they were on in the words of Pat Gray everyone has a podcast Melinda French Gates on her new series
Starting point is 00:28:59 and it's not a podcast okay it's a series on YouTube called Moments That Make Us Moments that Make Us with Melinda French Gates and I guess this is her first episode or her first moment that makes us with Oprah and Gail and they denied that they were lesbian lovers
Starting point is 00:29:18 so there that settles it it's hockey season and you can get anything you need delivered with Uber Eats well almost almost anything so no you can't get a nice rank on Uber Eats but iced tea ice cream

And if things weren't crazy enough in our world, Southwest Airlines said that they are going to plan to drop their open boarding system that it's used for more than 50 years. That's what made Southwest Southwest.
Starting point is 00:30:22 It was the cattle call. Go! They're going to start assigning passengers to seats, just like all the other big airlines. So they said, we've been studying seating options, running tests, and surveying customers, and we've discovered that preferences have changed over the years, and the vast majority of travelers now want to know
Starting point is 00:30:43 where they're sitting before they get to the airport. You know, I don't necessarily disagree with that. So then they changed the cattle call. They did change the cattle call a little bit when they started having you able to check in 24 hours before a departure to secure your spot. Then you were the first 30 to check in. You got A boarding group. And then some of the toddlers would get the B.
Starting point is 00:31:11 And then the C was like, go for what you can get, which was probably going to be the middle seat. So according to the airline survey show, showed that 80% of his customers and 86% of potential customers want an assigned seat. So if you're flying Southwest, soon they're going to be assigning passengers their seats. You won't be able to just walk on and sit where you want. I know, I know. You know, speaking of airlines, I see where they have, we've had some more airports in Europe,
Starting point is 00:31:47 have climate protesters. I'm sorry, climate activists, glue themselves to a runway? Why just take off? When it shut down the airport because these dingleberries glued themselves or their hands to the runway out there on the tarmac, just run them down.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Or run past them so you don't hit them with those engines running, then they'll go deaf. Or they can put their hands over their ears. Oh, wait, they can't. Because they're glued to the... I can't. Can't believe.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I would be so pissed. You're not winning people to your side, gluing yourself, blocking airplanes on the tarmac. You're not doing it. They've disrupted airports in London, Vienna, Oslo, Zurich. Now, those airports say there were no major traffic delays reported there. The one in Germany suspended flights for several hours after the climate activists glued themselves to. the runway just run them down i mean seriously oops sorry all right people i want you to buckle up uh we're
Starting point is 00:32:56 we're getting ready to approach uh the runway to take off just buckle up and uh you're gonna feel a little bump and that's going to be a climate activist sorry but uh when you feel the bump just no but your flight will not be delayed okay go ahead i'm my main man uh harvey weinstein uh weinstein winstein You say Steen, I say Stein, we all stay Harvey, is battling a slew of issues, and he is back in the prison hospital. Very sad. He's been transferred to Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan,
Starting point is 00:33:32 where he's being treated for diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, and it says here, other conditions, on top of coronavirus, and pneumonia. So he's got COVID and double pneumonia is what they're saying. Harvey is not doing well. He is not doing well at all.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Wow, very, very sad. He's awaiting a retrial of his New York rape case after it got overturned in the spring and they are not going to let that go. They're looking to get a separate rape conviction in California overturned as well. That was filed last month. It's the second time in three months.
Starting point is 00:34:15 months that he's been hospitalized at Bellevue. He went there for tests in April, and a quote from his attorneys said that Harvey's health was a bit of a train wreck. So we all pay for our dalliances one way or another, don't we? Yes, yes, we do. Today's the day. The Olympics, they begin. I mean, they actually began, I don't know, this week.
Starting point is 00:34:45 week, but the opening ceremonies are tonight. And yay! It's been 100 years since France has hosted the Olympics way back of 1924. Don't forget to look for the big opening ceremony in the Poop River. I mean the Seine River there in Paris. We're going to have, there's 329 medal events across 35 venues, 10,500 athletes, 206 countries, and it should be fun. Although, how's it going in France?
Starting point is 00:35:15 because we had the Australia Bicycle Bicyclist team got, were part of a crime. I think they broke into their cars and stole their bikes or maybe just broke into their cars, but they were victims of crime in France. We had this morning, we found out that the France train lines were hit by arson attacks. So they shut down the whole train system.
Starting point is 00:35:40 How do people get around in Paris rather than walk around? Oh, they take the trains? Oh, that's right. Yeah, whole Europe. In Europe, they take trains. Yeah. So that was all shut down. Things are going swimmingly in France.
Starting point is 00:35:55 And so that's wonderful. Just remember that the two most watch US events, swimming and gymnastics kick off this weekend. So the games run through October 11th. And then followed by the Paralympics. We got to make sure we mention the Paralympics from August 28th to September 8th. So, I mean, we love the event.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I was looking at some of the divers. Wow, they come so close to the edge on those giant dives. They're so good. I had a friend of mine that his sister was a big-time diver like that, and she was in the Olympic trials and hit her head on the board when they're diving. They come so close to be so perfect and looks so perfect diving into the water. And she hit her head, and she was never, I mean, she was the same. I guess she was herself, but not.
Starting point is 00:36:43 I mean, there was no more diving. happening, man. It definitely put a mark on hers. You want to take a dive? No, no, I'm good. And I'm not a, I'm not a gambler. I like to, you know, I'll bet you and take that kind of thing. I'm not a financial gambler.
Starting point is 00:36:59 But I would like to know if there's an over-under on if Simone Biles makes it through the entire Olympics. Because remember the last Olympics, she was all fired up, but kind of the same way she is this year, wearing her little sequin gymnastic suits and then she couldn't do it. Apparently she had some kind of, she got dizzy and she just couldn't compete anymore.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I mean, she's the best gymnast, I don't know, probably ever and one of the best anyway. And it's certainly from America. And then she couldn't do it. She couldn't do it? She couldn't do it? Okay. All right, Simone.
Starting point is 00:37:38 I just wondered if there's an over and under on when Simone well, if she will make it through the entirety of the Olympics. Plus, we're all supposed to root for the USA. And I do. In my heart, I root for the USA. But I wouldn't be unhappy if the USA women's basketball team didn't win. Now, they're going to. They're going to because they just,
Starting point is 00:38:08 just the best players are in America and they're going to destroy the other teams, I know. But it would be a shame. Terrible, terrible shame if they weren't able to win the gold medal, wouldn't it? It would just be terrible. Another thing that would be terrible
Starting point is 00:38:32 is if the Boeing Starliner actually has to be rescued the astronauts have to be rescued from Elon and SpaceX because NASA just provided another update on the styliner stuck at the ISS I go, no, they're not stuck, okay? We're not stuck, we just can't leave. They said that they still have issues
Starting point is 00:38:55 with the helium leaks and the thruster control. No return date for the pair of astronauts on the ISS yet. We're still not giving a return date time. Elon, you guys. got to go get them, man. What are you doing? I know you're busy with, you know, a few hundred other things, but send up a ship and bring them back, okay? Just kick that starliner off the ISS and let it burn up in space and bring the astronauts back and tell Boeing, hey, don't worry
Starting point is 00:39:25 about your starliners anymore, okay? We're going to use SpaceX vehicles, so take care, have a nice day. for great deals on amazing gifts, so you don't have to.
