Got a full weekend in. I'm sure you've got some sun. How are you feeling? I'm great. And I'll tell you why. Tell me. I'm intrigued. It's why I asked.

It is father. day so they'll still be delayed but you know happy father's day to if any of you are fathers out there or we're wishing your father's a happy father's day yeah i'm not sure how many fathers listen to this podcast but if you do yeah but there could be a dad's out there exactly and um it was great i got to go home because i have not seen my parents and my sister in i've seen my brother but i haven't seen my parents or my sister in months now uh they have been in florida i was not and so they are back in New Jersey so I got to see them, which was amazing. Got to spend Father's Day with my dad. And now I'm recording from my brother's bedroom. It's, it was great. It was really nice to see all of them.

So that was an added bonus for the, for the weekend. That sounds lovely. That's just what you need to start off the week, right? It was. You're all sleeping in the same house, which I'm sure your parents don't get often. So that's nice. Actually, the last time was when I was there. We had an extra kid. Yes. Everyone was like, when was the last time we were all together?

I was like, it was Florida and Rio was with us. Makes sense. I'm just the adopted child. Fit right in. Yep. I went to Situate this weekend, which was a really quick trip. But I want to give a shout out to this lovely girl, Grace, who I met on the beach, who was a big chicks in the office fan.

She was just telling me how much she loved. loves us. And it was nice to talk to somebody in person about the podcast because, right, you know, it's been so long since we've been out in the world. And just, you know, seeing that people are still listening was, it was great to hear. They're still out there. Yeah. There's still out there. The listeners are still listening. So shout out to Grace, who was super, super sweet, super chill. You do look like you got a nice handline. Thank you. I'm now noticing. I spent some time at the beach.

I clocked in some hours. I would say from like 11 to 5. It was a great, great beach day. Much needed after I was being hacked left and right by my hacker Jimmy. We named him Jimmy. He needs a little more of an evil name,

but Jimmy was the first film that came to mind. I think I probably would have went with Clyde or something if I would have thought it out more. Cliff? Yeah, Cliff. is a nice one. Should we change it to Cliff? Yeah.

Okay. So Cliff, my hacker, he hacked into my ICloud, Apple ID, Wednesday night, right? Yeah, Wednesday night. Yeah. And I wasn't awake. I woke up the next morning, tried to check my podcast app to listen to chicks in the office. It's great podcast that comes out on Thursday mornings.

And it was telling me to log in, and I knew something was up. I was like, I've been logged in, check my email. somebody got in, they reset my password. I realized I did not have the two-factor authentication on. That's my bad. Okay, I understand how the hacker got in. I was freaking out, obviously, because it's this eerie feeling of somebody being in your phone and having access to your phone. You don't know what they have. I do know that I don't have any nudes. As much as people want to be like, Ria definitely has nudes. I don't. You're never going to find them. I'm sorry to break that news to you. They just, they're never going to appear for you.

Um, so I wasn't worried about that, but I was worried about I have pictures of my ID on my phone. What can they do? Yeah, yeah. I don't, I don't know what they can do with anything they have. I'm not a hacker. I don't know these, these special tricks and gifts that they have. Uh, so I was freaking out, but I changed everything that I could password wise. Canceled my debit cards, my credit cards, did all of that nonsense. Thought I was in the clear until we're driving to situate. in the middle of the night, 3.30 a.m., I'm on my phone. I get a notification. The hacker's back in. He shut off my two-factor verification and reset my password on me. How was he able to do that? I have no idea. Once again, I'm not a hacker. I'm even afraid to talk about this. He's probably listening right now. Hi, Cliff. Welcome to the show. We welcome you. You know, I'm a little afraid of you at the same time. Yeah. But he hacked back in. And at this point, I'm like, you know what? I got to delete everything. I got to start from scratch. I have to

throw the entire Apple ID, I cloud away. I'm just going to start like I've never had an Apple product before. So that's where I'm at now. I completely got rid of everything, deleted everything. My phone is like a new iPhone. It's like I've never, like I said, it's like I've never owned an Apple product before. And I feel safer. It's been three nights now since Cliff hasn't accessed, which is, you know, You know, we should celebrate that because it was a night from the row where he did. I didn't know where we were going to land after that. If it was going to be an every night occasion, that every time I shut my eyes for a second, Cliff creeps back into my phone.

Seems to be safe right now, but it caused me, you know how I was talking about that anxiety I had last podcast? Oh, man, I did not know what was coming my way. Just a mere day later how I would be feeling. Just terrible. I was paranoid as hell. I'm like, I was, as I was texting people, I was just texting as if he could read everything. I was like, yo, what up? Like, I know you're in here. I know you're watching everything I'm doing. It is what it is at this point. I wish I could just throw my phone out the window and never see it again. That's where I'm at. So I feel better though. Like I said, I went to Situent, went to the beach. It was a lovely weekend. And I'm feeling a little more calm and a little less paranoid and more like whatever happens happens. nothing really I can do. Can't worry about things you can't change. That's what I like to tell myself

when I'm feeling okay versus, you know, when you're freaking out and somebody tells you that, you're like, you don't know. But like I said, yeah, you're right. You can. Yes, you did all that you can do, which is change everything and then hope for the best. And like you said, worst case, this guy's got selfies of you crying about Harry Styles. Like there's really, like there's really not that much. much damning photography on there. Like you said, if you listen to the show, we've know, you know, we've said many times that, you know, the cloud is a scary place. And the cloud, who knows what stays in the cloud, be aware of the cloud, just, you know, be aware that that could come back to haunt you.

And we have stuck by that. So they're, like you said, the worst thing, a Harris-Sow's photo. Exactly. We are Polaroid nudes gals. We do not. It's my dog. Can you hear my dogs barking? Oh, hello. puppies. Yeah. Very happy to see my dogs, but they're pretty loud barkers. That's okay. It adds some spice to the podcast. The Harry Styles crying pictures, that's what I have. I went through. I logged on to my eye cloud on the computer to see what this guy would have if he was on his computer looking through. the most boring camera roll of all time if you were looking for something. Like you're getting pictures of me and Hank.

You're getting selfies of me from all different angles and of me crying at the Harry Stiles concert. And you're getting a million screenshots of celebrities. Just endless screenshots. So many screenshots. Like my camera role is probably 85% screenshots anyway. And I actually feel. lucky and blessed that the day before this happened,

I went through my camera roll and actually deleted a lot of pictures and then double-deleted them, went into my deleted and deleted again. So, best case scenario, best-case scenario so far, unless this podcast drops and I'm also waking up at the same time and all of my shit is all over the internet. Whatever it is. I don't know. Like I said, I don't know what hackers can do.

What they have. I feel hopeless at this point, but I've done everything I can. So we wish for the best. We keep on going forward. And we look forward to the summer, guys. It's the end of June, which is crazy to think about because, you know, we've been inside for quite some time. You know, April, March, even May, they didn't really exist as months. Now we're getting to the summer where people, they want to be out of their houses.

Fourth of July is coming up. Yeah. So, you know, be a safe. as possible. Yeah, just please still be careful. Yeah, please still be careful. Be careful. If you're going to the beach, stay with your group, be safe about it. And just try to be happy and enjoy this summer, guys. Right. It's, yeah, definitely just have to be smart about it. Because like you said, so many places are opening up now, but you see a lot of cases are going up in young people because obviously everybody's been out and doing things now. So just got to really be

aware. I've seen some like bars down the shore just straight up open. I think that they're breaking a lot of laws. Like I don't think that they're supposed to be open, but I saw like multiple videos of packed places and it gave me extreme anxiety. I was like, oh, that's somewhere I would not be comfortable going. Absolutely. And I feel like at this point when you think about it, you know, these people, they're doing, they got to make money. And if they stay closed, then the business can possibly go down. So I understand. It's going to take care of yourself.

The sticky situation they're in. But also, there's a pandemic going on and a deadly virus. So we should all stay safe still. The sentiment still stands that you want to protect your older loved ones and people who are more prone to getting the virus. Yeah. Just be careful. But like I said, enjoy the summer, enjoy the warm weather.

Get out to the beach if you can. Read some books. I'm saying that to myself because I haven't read yet. And Fran has been reading like crazy. Read some books. Yeah. I got to start reading. Oh, I really want to get into Harry Potter.

So Fran is a huge Harry Potter fan. As you guys may know, she's a huge Harry Potter fan. She made her mom take her to Harry Potter World when she was 20. years old. And I texted her this weekend because I wanted to know what my Harry Potter house would be because I was up late, just reading about the Hogwarts houses for whatever. And I was curious as to what you thought. And now that I've read a lot about Harry Potter, I actually want to read the Harry Potter books

and watch the movies. I'm looking at, I got, I'm like literally sitting in my brother's room and he has them all. I'm like sitting at his bookshelf, here's number seven. I mean, they're great. They're great. I would say I would lend you my box set, but they're, oh, wait. Oh, wait. If Hank, if Hank goes into the office,

tell him to bring home my box set is on my desk. Yes. And I can break those bad boys in. Yeah. And they're paperback, which is nice. Easier to travel. It's not these, the hardcover, they're big, big, big books. Yeah.

But yeah, I mean, if you're really serious about this, Hank can go take my box set off my desk. I think I'm ready. I think I am ready. I love it. I love it. I read between the world and me, which was just so amazing.

I highly recommend. And I, like I said, that I was drunk ordering more books. So I have a lot coming. I'm excited for it. And you know what? And I also really say, like we talked about this too when we were talking about movies to watch right now. And Just Mercy is still, like, I think you can still watch it for free on everything. I have not cried in a movie like that in a very long time.

Like I can't like full blown sobbing. It was a fantastic movie so well done. and just like so crazy obviously, you know, based on a true story and the whole thing. And I love Michael B. Jordan. I love Michael B Jordan. Jamie Fox was incredible. And it just bawled my eyes out to the point where like it was uncomfortable for Joe to watch the movie with me. Like he was like, are you going to be okay?

I remember we wanted to watch that movie all together or we were going to. It would have been it would have been awkward if Joe was sitting with the two of us. I'm glad we didn't because you. You would have, like, when you, when you watch, you will sob as well. Like, so. So. Um, on our list to watch. Yes.

For so many great things and you've said so many great things about it. I'm fully prepared to cry. And I feel like I need a good sobbing movie. Oh, it'll hit you because it is very serious. And, and it's just a, it's, it's, like I said, based on a true story. Um, and you, it's, Brian Stevenson and the, how he has, started the Equal Justice Initiative, which we have been hearing so much about

because so many people are turning to them as a resource right now. And so seeing that the movie, obviously, you know, it's based on a true story, but it was still, I felt very informative and it was really, really

well done. Like, it's just a really great movie. So if you haven't watched it yet, watch it, and it's, like I said, I think it's still free. And then I don't know what else I was going to say. I forget. That's all.

That's what's what's what's a great way to end this intro of Fran. I think everyone should watch that movie. I know I'm going to watch it because I now am like feigning a good cry. I don't know if that makes sense. But just one that really sink my heart and teeth into not necessarily my teeth by heart. But that's the thing. So we move forward. All right.

Because now Ashley Benson's with him. I like Ashley Benson a lot. But what else is there to do for him? I know. You want to give him the benefit of the doubt because we, do love Ashley, but it's tough. So over the weekend, she brought Gerald to, she brought Gerald as her date to her sister's wedding or, you know, he was invited and was there. There are pictures. They were also seen out having a meal in L.A. So it seems like it's definitely more of a serious thing because at first, after Kara,

it kind of seemed like maybe he was a good shoulder to cry on, a rebound situation, but also maybe just a good friend situation. But I don't know, now it seems like there is definitely a full-blown relationship coming out of this. Yeah, that's what it seems like. Obviously, when Ashley Benson was first seen with G.E.Z, everyone was saying they were just friends because she had just broken up,

or who knows how it went. They had broken up with each other, Cara Delveen and Ashley Benson. So their relationship was done and she was quickly with G.E.Z. And now it seems like they're dating. I just have to say it's a goddamn travesty that ASAP Rocky is on the song No Limit with G.E.Z Because that song's great. And it pains me to say because of how much I dislike G.E.Z as well as the song Forbes with Borgor. I like Borgor.

Yeah. A good song with G. Those are my two G.E.Z songs that I like. will admit to liking. Otherwise, I don't really know any other G.EZ songs. So I'm sure that G.EZ has songs that people like and people love G.EZ. I see it all the time. I do like the song with Halsey. I know that's a problematic. Oh, Fran. Why did you have to remind me? I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Well, get the facts straight. Yes, he does have a good song with Halsey. But I stand Halsey, not G. EZ. And that's not my main reason.

why I don't like G.E.E. I just think that G.E.Z is a scumbag. I get this scumbag vibe from him. Like, I don't even have facts just surrounded. I just, besides girls DMing me with certain stories about G.E.Z that seems sketchy and kind of support my feeling about G.E.Z. Yeah. And the fact that Halsey hates him so much and has alluded to him being a bad person is where

I get my G.E.Z. is a scumbag feeling from. otherwise I don't have any concrete evidence that he's a scumbag so I feel defeated now that Ashley Benson's dating him because she seems like a nice girl and if she likes G. Easy

then is G. Easy as bad as I think he is? I don't know but let me tell you I do really enjoy every time that we do a story about him no matter what there is a Ria rant on how she does not like GEZ like it's no matter what, it's always, it's, there's always something like, you're like, just got to say,

don't like them, don't really have like a lot of concrete reasons why I just don't fucking like him. Exactly. And I, every time this happens, people then message me and they're like, can I just ask exactly why you don't like G.E.Z? And it's as simple as I get a bad vibes from me. That's it. Sometimes you get bad vibes from people and your intuition is telling you that you don't like

like this person, you don't trust this person. And that's what I feel about G. Easy. There's something about him. I do not trust. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's very valid. I think that's very, very valid. And I want Ashley Benson to be careful. Right. Because I'm rooting for her. Right. We can really only wish her the best because they're clearly a thing now. Like they're, I feel like once you start going to family members' weddings, regardless of how close you are as friends, there's definitely some feelings involved. I'm working on this take in my head. How do you feel about it? Go ahead. No, no, no. Machine Gun Kelly is everything G.E.Z wishes he was. Do you think that makes sense? I think it does make

sense. I think they have very... Do you think that makes sense? Different vibes. I can see the comparison between the two. Like, I get where you're coming from. Because it's something I've been sitting on, but I wasn't sure if it made complete sense. Because they do different music. They...

Yeah. I feel like G. EZ would be okay with having MGK's life. But MGK wouldn't want to be GEZ. Yeah, yeah, that's a good way to put it. He would love to be dating Megan Fox right now.

Yeah, 100%. He would love to be, sorry, wouldn't be, though. I would date Megan Foxx. Yeah, yeah, who wouldn't be? Machine Gun Kelly is a very lucky guy. Yeah. I don't know, man. I got to do more research on T.E.

You say that every time, and you're not going to. I never do. But like I said, it's just, It's just a vibe. Yeah. You got to follow your intuition. That's how you feel about it. So that's how it's going to stay.

It looks like you're doing research right now. I am. I am actually... Definitely is. I am actually looking up G.E.Z. I mean, I've done this before. I look up G.E.Z. And I look at his face and I go, oh.

Yeah. Scroll his Wikipedia and then close out. Yeah, I get mad about him and Halsey. And then I know. So I guess we would. wish the best of luck to Ashley Benson and G.E.Z. I think Ashley Benson can do better. Yeah. But maybe G.E.Z has this other side of him that we don't know about. It's very possible. I mean, it seems like he's friendly with a lot of people that you like.

So maybe that helps out his case. Well, yeah, like I said, Aesop Rocky being on no limit. Pansy. Is A.S.ap Rocky is my number. one and then having this great, like if you go to ASAP Rocky's songs on Apple, his number one is no limit with GEZ. And that genuinely pains me because ASAP Rocky has so many better songs than no limit. And for some reason, that's number one because Cardi B and G.EZ. I think I've lost Fran in this conversation. Possibly. Well, I thought we were done with it. I thought we were done with the topic. I can't tell if we're on the topic still or it's just like the after topic. three minutes ago. No, I was still going. I thought. Oh, shit. Yeah. Oh, I thought when you started doing research that. No, that was research for the podcast. And you just started going on your phone and zoning out. I was like, I guess I thought it was over. I was going to find the Ansel tweets so we can move on. No, but you know what? We'll move on now. I'm done talking about G. Yeah. I was just talking to myself. I was looking at the camera like, I guess France is really not interested. I really, really was not. I really thought we were done. I thought we were moving on. My bad. That is also my bad. Here's a little update for Bachelor Nation. It seems like Victoria F. and Chris Souls are going strong after seeing pictures of them posing together. So I'm not going to lie, I don't have much to say about this.

I will say it's just wild. It's wild seeing the photos of them together because we have known that they have been together. She has been in Iowa. That's very, very clear. But seeing them pose for a picture together is just a whole other element. She is obviously, she, you know, has alluded to having a boyfriend. So, you know, Chris Salls is Victoria F's boyfriend. Like that is just, it's just a crazy thought, but here it is.

It's the truth. And there's really not much more. I feel like there's really not much more than just to think, like, wow, that's wild. I don't know much about crystals. I didn't watch any of the seasons he was on, so I don't really know anything about him besides some things you've told me. So, crystals, besides what we've already talked about, you know, with the accident and the whole situation.

The murder. I think people are very aware of. He, his, his contestants were probably some of the best girls, I would say. So Chris was on Andy's season, but then, let's see, there was, like, listen, so obviously he picked Whitney. on his season.

They didn't work out. So she was the winner. But there was Becca Tilly, Caitlin Bristow, Jade Roper, Carly, Britt, you know,

Britt and Caitlin, Ashley I. I feel like those are some big, big names. Those all came from, they all came from Chris Sol's season. So it's, and like you said,

you don't really know too much about Chris. And Chris had a, very generic season. He just seemed like a pretty normal guy just, you know, loves his farm and like living in Iowa.

And he picked Whitney, it didn't work out, and we didn't really hear from him. And then obviously the accident and the details of all that. And now, post that is now just that he is dating Victoria F. I would really love to know the

origin story of these two. I feel like we have said it before that one of them probably slid in the other person's DMs and that's probably, I would guess that's what it was, but it could have been something else. It's just their love. What a love story for those two. You know what? I'm going to, I'm going to say I'm happy for them. I'm going to root for Victoria F and Cristles because at this point, why not? I don't have anything against Victoria F any more like Peter's season to me it seems like a throwaway

you know what I mean all the feelings we had towards those girls and all the you know getting angry about the drama and Victoria F. just being a total shit show and rooting so hard against her obviously not the biggest fan of her

still and don't agree with a lot of the decisions she's made in the past but I'm not going to sit here and root against her upcoming relationships and her life going forward. It seems like she's happy. She's moving on from the season. You know, she's not bouncing around all over the place. She's with Chris.

She's been with Chris for months now. We'll see how long that lasts. But, yeah, I mean, like, look, if you want to be with a man who did what he did, go, sure, go ahead. I was actually just thinking in my head, like, it's pretty wild. Like, I don't know if I, yeah. I don't know. I don't think I could do that.

Also, Justin Bieber. It's, they have started on Twitter. I will say Ansel, this first came out from this girl, Gabby. And I, we can talk about it. I will say, obviously, that there is a little bit of a trigger. warning situation because this is discussing sexual assault and these girls were open with their stories and talking about what happened. So just want to say that first. But this girl Gabby, she posted her story about Ansela El Gore and basically said that she was 17. He was in his

20s. I think he was, I think he was 20. And she just said he knew what he was doing. I'm not posting this to Cloud Chase because I simply don't care for that. I'm posting. this so I can finally heal and I know I'm not alone and he's done this to other girls. Ansel Elgort sexually assaulted me when I was 17. She had said that she had DM'd him when it was two days before her 17th birthday and she got his private Snapchat and I guess it ended up, you know, they had ended up hanging out and she said that he, they had, they had sex and And she was, I think she said, oh, yes, they had sex.

And she did say that it was her first time and that she was, quote, sobbing in pain. And I didn't want to do it. The only words that came out of his mouth were, we need, quote, we need to break you in. Which is absolutely horrifying. He, she also wrote he has well said stuff like you're going to be such a beautiful young lady when you're older. He not only did that, but asked me for nudes as well. was asked to have a threesome with me and one of my quote, dance friends.

They were also underage as well. And I didn't tell anyone because he said it could, quote, ruin his career. I sat there for months wondering what I did wrong, wondering why I felt so used. She said years later, she had PTSD, panic attacks, go to therapy. Now she's finally ready to talk about it and finally ready to heal. I just want to heal. And I want to tell other girls who have been through the same shit as me, you're not alone. It's a lot for me to even come on here and tell my story, but I know it's needed.

There's much more to my story. I simply don't want to post it all. I will tweet screenshots and a picture of me and him down below, which she did. She tweeted a screenshot of the two of them together and a picture of what looks like Instagram messages between the two of them back and forth. Yeah, so obviously this whole thing is disgusting,

and Ansel also responded in his statement, which we'll read. But what I feel extremely bad about is that women who come out and want to speak out against these, these things that happened to them is that they have to preface it by saying, I'm not looking to clout chase and this, that, the other thing, because they automatically assume that no one's going to believe them. And that breaks my heart because I can't imagine being in a situation

where you really, something really did happen to that is traumatizing and you really want people to hear your story and you really want someone to understand you. But then you have so many assholes on the internet who will be like, oh, you're just doing this to clout chase. Oh, you know, you're looking for fame. You're looking for followers. You're looking for money.

Whatever it may be. When the reality is that a lot of people in Hollywood and a lot of people in power abuse their power. Yeah, absolutely. And I think part of this and part of these women sharing their stories is like Gabby had said, it's a part of a healing process for them. And it's crazy that immediately Twitter, which can be such a disgusting place, is just full of people tearing apart her statement

and criticizing every sentence and trying to find blind spots and where the story doesn't add up. So you have to be incredibly brave to put out a story like this, obviously about a celebrity who you know has, a lot of fans and a lot of power and put this out there for everyone to share.

And like you said, Ria, he did put out a statement. He said, I was distressed to see the social media posts about me that have been circulating in the past 24 hours. I cannot claim, oh, I also will say, Gabby had posted this and then there was, I think, a couple other girls who had shared their story as well. Some had replied to her tweet. Some had said other things.

So there were multiple posts. But he said, I cannot claim to understand Gabby's feelings, but her description of events is simply not what happened. I have never and would never assault anyone. What is true is that in New York in 2014, when I was 20, Gabby and I had a brief, legal, and entirely consensual relationship. Unfortunately, I did not handle the breakup well.

I stopped responding to her, which is an immature and cruel thing to do to someone. I know this belated apology does not absolve me of my unacceptable behavior when I disappeared. As I look back at my attitude, I'm disgusted and deeply ashamed of the way I acted. I am truly sorry. I know I must continue to reflect, learn, and work to grow in empathy. So, of course, Ansel has a completely different story.

That's what you would expect coming from him. But like you said, never one to doubt a victim and putting their story out. Absolutely. And, you know, I can't imagine how hard it is to come forward. and tell the world your story, especially on Twitter, which is, like you said, can be such a disgusting place, but also a place where you could spread news fast and get your story out there and get your voice heard. So I applaud the woman who are speaking up, who have been scared to speak up for so long. And it's obviously such a scary thing. And I can't imagine what they're

going through, what they're feeling. And like we mentioned, these people, in such positions of power, you don't know what they can do, what they can hide, how they can hide these stories that come out. So, you know, it's a crazy thing. It's a crazy thing that's going on. Yeah.

And so following this with Ansel, a young girl who said her name is Danielle and she was obviously not going to say her last name, she went on anonymously created a new Twitter account to tell her story. And she had started it, you know, after hearing about Gabby's story with Ansel, it gave me courage to share mine. So this is a thank you to Gabby. And then she wrote out her story about Justin Bieber. And now this has blown up as well.

And she had written on March 9th, 2014, I was actually assaulted by Justin Bieber. They were in Texas in Houston for a show. He was with Selena Goma. as she wrote that her and her two other friends heard Scooter Brown was having an event at Bangor Sausage House and Beer Garden that Sunday night in Austin with a bunch of other performers. Then later that night, Justin surprised the audience with about 100 people at the bar and performed a few songs. He publicly dedicated a few to Selena. And then they had a man approached them.

If you wanted to meet Justin after the show, they said yes. Justin came up to them, took some pictures, chatted. She said for legal reasons, I will not be sharing the photos. and so then Justin and this other man invited them to the four seasons where they were staying. They said yes, they didn't think anything of it. They just were hanging out with a huge celebrity, obviously. And then she wrote, Justin had made me agree

to not say anything to anyone or I can get in serious legal trouble. He asked for my phone and put it to charge. I guess it was an excuse to take it away for me. He then asked me to join him in bed, which obviously then created a rush, of different feelings for her. She said she kept questioning, asking questions to add to their conversation, but then he had leaned in to kiss her. She had known he was with Selena. So she said she had kept bringing that up, you know, what about Selena? She said, I kept asking myself,

what about Selena? Did I consent to this? How will she react if she finds out? Where are my friends? How is this normal? Okay. I told him that this was going too far and that we should stop because I needed to find my friends most importantly because I felt guilty about Selena. That's when he told me, relax, they're all okay. And then she goes on to detail the assault. And she says, although this was six years ago, I was one year older than him. He was 20. I was 21. I was still sexually assaulted without consent. Fast forward to late last year, I finally decided to speak up about it. I told my close friends and my immediate family. It was hard, but I finally got to tell my story. If you've ever been a victim of sexual assault, I believe you. You and your story matter.

You are valid. You are heard. I will stand with you. What happened to me was not okay. It took me years to finally speak up about it, but is never too late to do so. Just because he is a huge pop star with a lot of money and millions of fans, doesn't make this okay and should go unnoticed. I am still recovering, attending multiple therapy sessions, seeking help and talking to people. Thank you for listening to my story, Danielle. And then there was another woman as well who went on her own, you know, personal Twitter

and also told her story about a sexual assault in New York in 2015. And now Justin Bieber is commenting on the accusations, which we've been waiting for because he posted a picture for Father's Day, and people were like, Justin, read the room. Do you have any idea what's going on on Twitter? And he took to Twitter and he said, I don't normally address things. I have dealt with random accusations my entire career,

but after talking with my wife and team, I've decided to speak up on an issue tonight. rumors are rumors, but sexual abuse is something I don't take lightly. I wanted to speak out right away, but out of respect to so many victims who deal with these issues daily, I wanted to make sure I gathered the fact before I made any statement. In the past 24 hours, a new Twitter appeared that told a story of myself involved with sexual abuse on March 9, 2014, in Austin, Texas at the Four Seasons Hotel. I want to be clear. There is no truth to this story. In fact, as I will soon show, I was never present at that location. As a story told, I did a surprise crowd, I did surprise a crowd in Austin at South by Southwest where I appeared on stage with my then assistant side stage and sang a few songs. What this person did not know was that I attended that show with my then girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Then Justin Bieber tweeted out an article from 2014 that talks about Selena being there with him and talks about Justin Bieber dedicating a song to quote, My Baby, Selena Gomez out of the South by Southwest show. Then he tweeted out two photos where he wrote these photos clearly show me on.

The next tweet is an article that shows that they didn't arrive in Austin that night from Selena show in Houston until later in the night. And then another tweet from 2014 where somebody tweeted, never thought I tweet about this, but hey, why not? Justin Bieber is out the four seasons, Austin. So this person got dragged into it because people were like, this is proof he was out the four seasons, Austin. But then she cleared up that it was the four seasons

restaurant, not the hotel. She didn't mean the hotel. And now she's like, please don't at me. I don't know why I'm getting involved in this. And Justin Bieber tweeted both of those out. Then he goes on and says, furthermore, I stayed with Selena and our friends at an Airbnb be on the ninth and on the 10th state at a Weston because our hotel reservation at La Quinta and not the four seasons was messed up. Here are the receipts for the hotel on the 10th. So these emails include, like he said, a hotel reservation getting mixed up and they had to stay at the Weston on the 10th. Obviously, this story involves the 9th, so we're confused why the 10th is coming into play here. But I guess he's trying to prove he was not at the four seasons hotel.

He tweeted, we have also confirmed with the four seasons regional math. manager that I was never on property on the 9th of March 2014 and never a guest on the 9th or 10th. I welcome all press to inquire with them if needed or wanted. Then he's tweeted, the picks I showed of me and Selena March 9th in Austin should make it clear that we were together that night and went from the venue to our Airbnb and never went to the four seasons. This is our Airbnb receipt where we crashed with our friends. So he puts up an email from March 2014 of an Airbnb confirmation where he says him and Selena and their friends stayed on March 9th the night that this woman is accusing Justin Bieber of sexually assaulting her.

And then, okay, just refresh and there's four more. Sorry, we're reading these as they come in live. He said on March 10th, Selena left for work and I stayed at the Weston as the receipts clearly showed with my friends Nick and John before I left town. Once again, not at the four seasons. We booked it for a couple of days to stay for the death jam show, deaf jam show, I bailed on the 11th to head back home. I won't be using Mike Lowry anymore as an Elias.

Alias. Sorry, guys. Reading a lot. Yeah. And I guess he was using the name Mike Lowry. Yes, the reservations at the Weston were under, you can tell, like it says, the reservations were under someone named Mike Lowry. So I'm guessing he used that as his fake name.

Mike Lowry, what an alias. Sorry, that's just finding. Yeah. Whenever I see a celebrity's alias name. we wrote, every claim of sexual abuse should be taken very seriously, and this is why my response was needed. However, this story is factually impossible, and that is why I'll be working with Twitter and authorities to take legal action. Okay, it's a lot. It's a lot to take in because, obviously, like we said, when somebody comes forward with sexual assault, sexual abuse allegations, they're very

serious, and they need to be taken seriously every single time. Because, you know, like the woman said when she spoke up about Ansel is that, you know, I don't want to clout. I don't want to seem like I'm clout chasing and fame. And I just think that's so terrible that people have to feel that way. They feel like, oh, I can't speak up because I'm looking for fame and I'm looking for clout or whatever it may be. But when somebody speaks up, you have to take it seriously. So now Justin Bieber is coming forward. He's trying to clear his name with receipts, so-called receipts that he has. And it will be interesting to see the quote unquote legal action he takes going forward because how are we supposed to know that this girl is not telling the truth?

You know what I mean? Like, do we really know for sure 100% that Justin Bieber wasn't at the Four Seasons Hotel that night? Yeah. Well, he's really trying to prove that he was not. He, like you said, came with receipts. he does seem like he is taking this very seriously. It wasn't just some kind of blanket apology statement or something,

some, you know, a vague statement, like he said, he wanted everyone to know that they were taking this very seriously and wanted to address it. So we will see what happens going forward. It just seems like I'm not sure what's going down on Stan. Twitter right now because there has their Cole Spouse has been trending also because of allegations that have now been proven to be false and a lie

and that somebody tried to attack the actors on Riverdale. It wasn't just Cole, it was you know, KJ and Vanessa as well. So I don't know what's going on. I don't understand. Stan Twitter is a very confusing place because I also see people just blindly believing everything celebrities do and say and we've mentioned it

before like you cannot just worship celebrities straight up and think that they can never do anything wrong because they very well could be doing things wrong like 100% you know they have the money they have the fame they have this power to hide

things so it's a very Twitter is such a confusing place and you see you see way more opinions than you would if you weren't on Twitter. But I think that one thing that is really bothering me is just people straight up blindly believing things. Like as Justin Bieber...

From celebrities. From celebrities. Like as Justin Bieber is tweeting out, I see people replying being like, we never believed her in the first place. And like, to me, that's disgusting. Like, you should absolutely take what these people are saying seriously.

And yes, if you were a fan of Justin Bieber and you want to, you know, look at the receipts that he's giving and then weigh it out. But you can't just straight up be like, we never believed her in the first place. Like, what's wrong with you? Yeah. What if that, you know, it's, it's gross to see, honestly. It is. It's definitely why this all happening on Twitter is crazy as well because you do see people's statement. and right away, you should be able to read the statement,

decide how you feel, without reading a billion other people's thoughts. And that automatically is just a crazy, crazy thing. Because you automatically see people tearing it down, building it up, believing the celebrities or trying to tear the celebrities down. So it's just always important to remember to read these statements, believe victims, and see what the outcome is. So we have some YouTube drama going on. I mean, there's always YouTube drama going on, but Shane Dawson has put out this very, very lengthy statement.

I guess he was being accused of having a hand in the Tati Westboro. book, James Charles drama. It's really insane that, I just want to say this right off the bat. It's really insane that this has continued this long. Oh, that was still talking about James Charles. How has there not been something else to happen? Over a year.

That's the one thing also about the beauty YouTube world. It's like, nothing ever dies. And I feel the same way with Jeffrey Starr. I see stories about Jeffrey Starr, and then it blows up. and then people forget about it for like six months and then people talk about it again and then forget about it again and then blah like it's just it always is happens like that

and so I guess he put out this statement um after one of Jeffrey Starr's ex-friends saying that he okay Sean Shane Dawson's post comes this is the pop crave tweet shame Dawson's post comes at the heels of Jeffrey Starr's ex-friend saying he felt silenced by the

duo after hearing Shane quote curse James out to Jeffrey before the release of Tati's video. He said, I was kind of taken aback. I've never seen Shane Dawson like that. He was just going in on James. So this blew up and tons of people were accusing him of having a hand in the drama. And so he posted this whole long Twitter thread. He said, my final thoughts on the beauty world and posted the tweet and then deleted. to tweet. So it's, it's not there anymore. Um, I, I, I'm going to try and go through some of this. It's, it's extremely long. Like, I know that it's like, you know, read, I'll, I'll paraphrase as much as I can. I think you should read through the whole thing. Okay. I think it's, you know,

it is. Okay, okay, that's true. Okay, that's fair. It's just because it's really tiny font. Yeah. I think, I think it's quicker than you think it is. Okay. Welcome to the circus. My final thoughts on the beauty world. A few questions I have been getting lately. One, did I know that she was thinking about making a video? Yes. Did I tell her to make a video?

No. Did I have any involvement in the video? No. Did I orchestrate it? No. Did I need that kind of drama to make a good series? No. Have I ever tried to ruin a career or make someone look bad in my 15 years on YouTube?

No. Do I have a track record of getting into drama with people or having fights with other YouTubers? No. Am I innocent and don't have a? huge anxiety provoking regrets about how I could have helped everyone handle everything better. No, I've had a pit in my stomach since it all happened. Now onto my final thoughts in the beauty world and my experience in it. The conspiracy palette was one of the best experiences of my life.

The series with Jeffrey changed my life and changed me as a person. It helped me be more confident and stand up for myself, which I've always been bad at. So to honor the series and what I learned from it, I'm going to say this. The beauty gurus who are always involved in scandals are all the fucking same. They are all attention-seeking, gameplay, egocentric, narcissistic, vengeful, two-faced, ticking time bombs ready to explode.

What a description. And I'm over it. Yes, they are talented, creative, smart, and love makeup, but they also joined a side of the internet that is obsessed with looks, money, power, fame, screenshots, and sub-tweets. Releasing private text, voice memos, emails, and other receipts as a way to point yourself

in a way to paint yourself in a particular light or someone else in a bad light is weird to me and I will never engage in that. That is a game that they know how to play well and I would rather eat my own hands often to play it. Yes, Jeffrey is in that list of dramatic gurus and he would admit that. And he will always be family to me

and I love him despite those characteristics. He's very aware of the fact that I don't agree with many of the ways he approaches situations and I have been very honest with him about needing to make some changes. But as for being in the beauty world, I cannot take the drama anymore

and it's not how I'm wired, so I'm out. It's draining, exhausting, depressing, and sometimes amazing. But for me, the amazing, is outweighed by the bad. I can't have a pit in my stomach every day waiting for the next scandal or the next exposed video.

It's going to give me health issues and I'm done caring about it anymore. I've never been involved in drama with another YouTuber ever and the second I decided to do a beauty series, boom, I'm in the hurricane. So did I plan Dramageddon? Are you serious? No.

Wow, in the YouTube world, they call it Dramageddon? It's a pretty fire name. Wow, unreal description. I have to say the light is hitting Noah beautifully right now. Let's just... Yeah, it actually really is. That's, it's really very nice. Okay. Do people in the YouTube world come to me like a grandpa and tell me their problems and ask me for advice? Yes. Is it easy for me to get wrapped up in something potentially toxic if I think someone I love is hurting or upset? Yes, it's an issue I need to work on and have been working on.

When she told me how upset she was in person, I had the same reaction the world did when they saw her video. I felt awful for her and she seemed broken. So I tried to be there for her and be someone she could talk to about it. So was I shocked that she decided to make a video? No. Was I shocked that Tati read his ass for fucking filth? Yes. I wasn't acting.

I didn't know it was going to be that intense. Looking back, I still believe her on a lot of what she said, and I believe she felt it was what she needed to do at the time. Does she regret it? Probably. Does it mean we should see James as some poor, innocent, sweet angel? No. Don't get it twisted.

Him and Jeffrey have always been at the top of the dramatic guru list, and I mean that with love. Did I warn James about the video? No. Why? For reasons that I will never discuss. We've spoken privately on it and that's that. Do I think James is the devil? No. Do I think he was a young, egocentric power-hungry guru who needed to be served a slice of humble pie the size of the fucking empire state building? Yes. Has he grown as a person since then? It really seems like it. And that's amazing. I'm truly happy if he's realized how his ego was affecting others which he did address in his No More Lies video. Do I think Tati is a villain? No. I think Tati was sick of being treated like shit by. so many in the beauty world and finally snapped. And damn, did she fucking snap all the way off? Holy shit.

She really said, fuck it and beat her face for the gods and popped on that ring light and went full Game of Thrones on that shit. So what you want? Say what you want about her or that video, but that shit will be in the history books. Fucking YouTube rewind even gave it an acknowledgement. Damn.

Okay, sorry, back to my rant. Do I think Jeffrey orchestrated this whole situation? No, Tati's a strong woman who made a choice. Do I think Jeffrey was also upset by some issues with James and some things he heard behind the scenes, yes. Was Jeffrey excited to see a competitive fall? Probably. He's Jeffrey fucking star.

What do you expect? I guess I missed the part where he got baptized and devoted his life to Christ. Did Jeffrey take it too far and fuck up big time by tweeting what he did? Yes. And it's one of the biggest regrets of his life. This all happened over a year ago, and I'm really sick of hearing about it and having people constantly using it

as a way to keep my name and others named tagged together in drama videos. Don't get a twisted drama will never end with a lot of these people. It's their game, their survival, their drug, they love it. This specific drama went too far and obviously and hopefully something like that never happens again. Putting drama in the trailer was something I regret more than anything in the world and I'm mad that I chose tea over my morals.

I'm really sorry to Tati and James of me putting their drama in the series at all felt like I was reopening wounds. Although I did speak to both of them privately about the trailer, I should have not done it at all. Drama might be fun to watch, but it's not fun to get wrapped up in and it's my fault for letting that happen and I'm sick of being trapped in the middle of it. Do I think this will be the last drama involving these people? No, no, I don't. Do I want to be involved ever again? Fuck no. All right.

I'm gonna... It's almost over. This is actually way longer than... You were right. It is actually extremely long. It's really long. It's aggravating me that everything is set up like a question. I read it earlier and it didn't annoy me when reading it.

But hearing it out loud. Yeah. Why is everything a fucking question? I know. I know. Okay. I'm going to skip some parts. She's basically saying, he's basically saying the same thing over and over again.

But before all the drama-free gurus pop off at me and say, well, I'm not involved in drama and I'm perfect. Girl, please. Your top view videos are probably top makeup fails and anti-halls with vomit emojis all over the screen. And that's okay. I love these videos, but let's not pretend that the beauty world isn't negativity first, makeup second. It's just how it is and I'm sick of people pretending to be so above it all. And with that said, I love watching beauty channels of all sizes and will continue to watch and support them.

The dramatic ones, the non-dramatic ones, and the ones who generally just love to show their makeup skills. Sadly, these channels get way less used for the reasons I've stated above. I have to help with my anxiety like slime or emotional eating. And that all sounds really good to me right now. to know, I mean, he really went off. I appreciate your TikToks, but it's not a vlog. Anyways. The video of him watching Madagascar with Chris Rock was very funny. Yeah, it's, he's, it's great. He's with Chris Rock. How fun. Why not a vlog? I understand. He was making vlogs for years and needed a time for us. This has nothing to do with David

Doberk. It's all I know about YouTube though. Um, but Shane Dawson, it's, seems like he's done with the beauty world. Like he said, you know, people are going to assume he just did it for money. I do assume that he just did it for money. Like, yeah, I mean, that he probably made bank and also like the whole series with Jeffrey revolved so much around that situation. Right. Yes. Maybe or most definitely there were other reasons besides money as to why he got involved. Maybe he really does love makeup and he wanted to do something with Jeffrey and there was a passion behind it, but saying that money did not have anything to do with that is just a straight of lie. Like you made bank off of that and it was great for you. I just wish people

would own that. Like I was really interested in makeup and I also saw a great business opportunity. Boom, done. There you go. Yeah. Which I think people can understand. If they can't understand, then I don't know how you can't understand. It's like having any other job. So I don't know. Like we both said, we're not well-versed in the beauty world of YouTube. So to hear this statement from Shane Dawson, either he's being very dramatic or the YouTube world is hell on earth every single day. And yeah, exactly, is hell on earth. It's game of Thrones-esque, as he might say.

Yeah, absolutely. And he obviously made it very clear that he's out. but like it's so true hindsight is 2020 so you i'm sure he sees it all much more clearly now looking back and being like wow i probably shouldn't have shouldn't have done that stuff um or you know regretting including so much of that drama in the show and how things went down but to write out a absolute thesis on it just makes you think that he is certainly over it. Yeah.

If he does not want to be in the beauty world anymore. If you didn't understand that Shane Dawson is fucking done with the beauty world from that statement, then you're never going to understand anything because that was long as hell. There were so many questions and answers. I understand when you're, you know, so many people are asking questions so it's probably easier to type it out that way. But, who, that was a long one. And I also think that, especially with the beauty world, because the beauty YouTube world, for him to say, like I thought this suck out to me, they joined the side of the internet that is obsessed

with looks, money, power, fame, screenshots, and sub-tweets. I feel like probably a lot of Hollywood is also obsessed with looks, money, power, fame, where the beauty world takes a turn is that they just fucking expose each other all the, you know? Like it's like Hollywood, you feel like there's so many secrets and people don't really, you know, you don't see the receipts as often.

But with the beauty YouTube role, they're like, here's a drama and here's the receipts to go with it. I understand like where Shane Dawson is coming from, though, saying being wrapped up in it is totally different than viewing it from the outside. Because even at Barstle, like, I remember being in drama, you know, it seems like the end of the world. It just seems like the world is crashing down on you. People are tweeting at you left and right.

Everyone has an opinion. But when something is happening and you're not involved in it, you're like, oh, shit, what's happening? Look at the drama. And I think that goes for anything in life that, of course, when you're not involved in the drama, you want to hear about it. So it seems like Shane Dawson is just done with the beauty world. He's going back to his usual YouTube, whatever that may be, because I never really followed Shane Dawson, so I'm not sure. But I know that he has a lot of diehard fans,

and I know that people love Shane Dawson. So hopefully he just rids the drama from his life that I guess he does not want. Yeah, it's always easier to just consume it and not actually be a part of it. And Shane is, this is his official exit from. all of that. Thank you for having me. You just recently turned 21 in quarantine. You had a birthday party in quarantine. I mean, I say just recently. It was like almost a month ago, I think, at this point. That is recently. Let's not make it seem like I'm almost 22 or else I'll be really. But you had to celebrate it in quarantine, which I don't think is the ideal way to spend a 21st birthday.

But I saw your TikTok and it seemed like it was a blast. The TikTok made it worth it, I think. And it really gave me something to focus on and take the focus away from the fact that I couldn't. like be out celebrating it. But I think the thing about birthdays with me is I've, I've three older sisters. So growing up, we never got birthday parties every year was only the special birthdays,

which is probably why I put so much emphasis on 21. It was because I got like maybe two special birthdays before that. So I basically had planned on spending it in New York, which is where I was up until, up until the quarantine happened and came back home. So then it was just really sweet because I got to spend it at home with my family and my friends socially distanced and said hello and that was it was a really, really, they like tried to make my backyard look like I was in Paris. They failed because it obviously very much in California. But it was the thought that counted. It was very sweet. Absolutely. And I feel like, you know what, if you're getting drunk in the comfort of your own home, it's the safest place to be. If you're going to pass out at some point, you're in your Absolutely. I felt no remorse. I felt very, very comfortable. And that was the best thing. I wasn't even, I didn't even have like a bad hangover anything. Like I just, I really, I was very responsible on my 21st birthday, which sucks. I'll regret it. You'll have plenty of time to be not responsible once everyone can go out again.

I'm planning on it. Exactly. No, I'm planning on it. No, you can stage a faux 21st. Right. Yeah, I think that that'll be the plan. And I just like, I'll tell everybody on the internet later. Exactly. Exactly. That's definitely the move.

We're really excited to have you on the show. You have a new movie that is out now. This is going to air. I should have said this before we started the interview, but it is going to air next week. So the movie is out the short history of the long road. and it looks beautiful just as very raw, very emotional. I feel like this was something really different than what you've done in the past.

And how did you kind of get into this role? Like, how did you get associated with this project? Raw was like the perfect word to describe it. To be honest with you, because I think I was definitely out of place in my life. Not that it was overproduced, but that I'm very much the kind of. kind of person that loves to do a 180 every other, you know, year and every project I'm doing, I really love to see what is like the antithesis of that and what else I can do that I haven't already done. And this beautiful miracle of a project fell into my lap. And I just, I loved the story.

I loved everything that it stood for in the simplicity of their lifestyle. And the fact that she's not, she's not looking for some great magical thing to happen. I think she's just curious. And I think that that's something so beautiful to explore in a young woman. And in this story of like her obviously not really growing up with a female figure in her life. And then her kind of having to navigate all those things on her own essentially. And so I basically, I Skyped with the direct, Skype, we probably FaceTime. I don't know why I said Skype.

I don't know what was happening at that point. But I FaceTime with the director, Ani. And we hit it off pretty immediately. And I'll never forget, like, when we were on the FaceTime. And she was like, so, like, are you okay with, like, wearing no makeup? And I was like, yeah, for sure. And she was like, no, like, no, like, not even like no makeup makeup, like no makeup. And I was like, yeah, I'm okay with that.

In fact, that'll save me like 30 minutes of sleep in the morning. It'll be great. and then once we like finally got into a room together, I think that that's where Nola just kind of was born in like the Sabrina skin or whatever she could have perceived me as before and whatever everybody else could have perceived me as before just completely turned into Nola being its own thing. And it was it was also really great because I got to physically just do something

really different like transformation wise for that role. And we lived off the grid in Albuquerque for a month with like the best little crew in the world. We appreciated good coffee and we all made a movie in a van. And it was just, it was the best feeling because I really felt like I was kind of taken out of the Sabrina world for a second. And I was, I was getting to, getting to live in somebody else's shoes, which is acting. But sometimes you don't always feel the connection between, I mean the disconnect between the character. the person you are. So that was a really special feeling.

I'm just excited for people to see it and see what they think of it because it is so different for me. Yeah, I watched the trailer and it was like really calming but also unsettling and I feel like I'm going to cry at the same time and I also think right now

it's just a really exciting time for movies to come out because, you know, movie theaters aren't exactly open but video on demand is huge just like on all platforms like renting and drive-in movie theaters are back, which is kind of crazy.

Are you planning on doing that? We're hoping to. There's a few drive-in screenings happening throughout the U.S. right now. None in L.A. that I know of yet. But I think that's sort of the plan, too, especially to get this movie out there in any way that we can. We always call it our little film that could because I think it's indie movies in general are such a special thing.

And I think they find the people that need it. or they find the people that need it. And I don't know, I think, I think a lot of people will take away different things from this movie and whatever that is they need. But yeah, I mean, the trailer in general, like, it's definitely, like, quiet, but it's very moving. The score, like, our cinematographer, Kalin, like, it literally just looks like a big Instagram filter.

It's a beautiful, beautiful film. So I'm excited to see what it does, especially for young women watching it, but anybody that watches it can hopefully take something away from it. And you said that it was basically just filmed in one van. I mean, we had our van, our hero van, the Hulk, which, yeah, we were using that one same van throughout the entire duration of filming, and she did us, she did us great. I don't know if it's a she, it sounds like more of a heat, but honestly, like, it was, it was the best, because I learned a lot about van dwe.

and just like the way that they live their lives in general. And it is not only inspired me, but like even my parents are like, I think we should just get a van and set sail and never look back. And I was like, honestly, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But yeah, I mean, there was so many little things that they, that were built into this van that we were using, like a built-in kitchen. And like, there was a bed for her dad and a bed for Nola, I say downstairs, but like on the lower level.

And they taught me how to siphon gas. They taught me how to, honestly, just a lot about, like, fixing up vans in general and, like, the parts that were used. It was, like, a 1989 VW, like, Westphalia. For anybody out there who's... You're not for that model. That's what it is.

Yeah, it was so special for us to all... Just feel really acquainted with each other, because we were all in each other's personal space a lot, because filming in a van is very intimate. So that was cool. And we had a primarily, like, pretty female-driven crew, which was also dope because that was one of the first projects that I'd ever really felt surrounded and, like, comforted

by, like, a group of badass women. So that was really, really amazing. And that's also beautiful because the film itself isn't based on that. Like, there is no woman figure, but the fact that you were surrounded by so many powerful women, while filming must have just felt amazing. Yeah, it did feel amazing. And it also, I think, gave Nola a different kind of strength to her.

Because I do think, like, there's something that even when I watched it back and I realized, I was like, wow, Noah's got a, she feels like she has an old soul. And she feels, I'm like talking about myself in the third person. But, no, it definitely feels like she has a lot of wisdom, but she also observes a lot. She's not like the first person to speak up necessarily, but she's definitely somebody that watches and witnesses and is always, always kind of paying attention because I think growing up, she always let her dad do the talking and always let her dad kind of do like the persuading in their situations. And once she has to

start doing that for herself, it's like the way that she kind of takes the world on her shoulders is a very, very inspiring thing, I think, to see for me as a young woman, like navigating this world in general and learning who to trust and who not to trust and how much to like give yourself and allow yourself to, I don't know, I guess just feel comfortable with people around you or versus depending on yourself. And I think she chooses to depend on herself a lot, which is an incredible quality in someone that young. So, yeah, I think a lot of the story was born on set, too. Like, I think a lot of it was on paper and the script is beautiful.

But I think, like, Albuquerque was our story. I think the van was our story. I think the chemistry between every person Nola meets is how the story kind of was really born. So it's really special. Yeah. You got to work with Danny Trejo, which I, like, he is just, like, I see him and I'm like, that's just an iconic man. Like, how was it working with him? I know he's done so many amazing things and it's so sad, like, I immediately think spy kids,

but that's just where it just goes. Yeah, obviously, I was a huge. huge part of my childhood. I think one of the first things he ever said to, like not said to me, but like one of the first things I ever heard him said was I went from ex-con to icon. And I was like,

you're my hero. I want to hug you forever. He was also just like such a delight. He was actually the last person I filmed with. So he so we kind of split up filming into four weeks like the first week was with my dad, Stephen.

Second week was with Rusty. Third week was with Maggie and then fourth week was with Danny. So we kind of ended our shoot in the garage and getting to develop the friendship between that character. And it's one of my favorite friendships in the movie because I just feel like he's so pure. I mean, he's so pure, she's so pure. It's such a beautiful, beautiful thing. There was also a really funny thing that I remember happening during filming. We were like filming pretty close to like an open like neighborhood kind of street. And this guy was blasting music out front. of his house. And of course, like, we were like a small set. Like, we couldn't really technically,

like, tell him to stop playing music from his house. So Danny Trejo walks up, whistles outside his front lawn. The guy comes out. And of course, he's like, like, thank God, he's like a huge fan. And he was like, hey, man, do you think you could, uh, do you think you could turn the music down? We're trying to shoot a movie. And the guy was like, for sure, machete, anything. And literally it was the, we were like, oh, my God. Like, nobody else could have. done that and killed it. And we just went about our day filming and it was great. He's a hero. That's amazing. I honestly would stop in my tracks and do the same exact. I will not speak for the next five hours if you need. Good. He's so sweet. Well, this movie is, you know,

really beautiful and exciting. And I think that all of your young women fans are going to see something extremely inspiring, like from what you've said, that this just really shows like a young woman finding herself. So I think that so many people are going to enjoy it and find something from it. And it's out now when this airs. So you can get it on video on demand. I think that just means all the app. All the streaming services.

You also were in the movie The Hate You Give, which is, you know, receiving a lot of attention right now because it covers the topic of police brutality, which is, you know, very prominent in our world right now. But it came out in 2018. It's still, it's kind of crazy because it came out in 2018. It's something we're all dealing with right now by like watching this movie kind of have an uprise again. It's very telling of the time that we're living in, which is wild. Absolutely.

What was it like being a part of a film like that? I mean, in every way possible, I feel like I'm, I was just very lucky to be a two, To be a voice for, I think, a type of personality in this world that is not always called out and one that, especially during this time, I think, has been. But more than that, I think I was a huge fan of the book. And the second I found out that they were turning it into a film, I knew I wanted to be a part of it in any way, shape, and form. But I also knew that that meant I probably had to play the ignorant white girl, Haley. and and that was that was going to be a challenge but at the same time like I knew that the education that I would gain from that film and being on that set and being around such beautiful incredibly gifted people was something that I would like keep with me forever I got an email um I think uh even even at the table read like I felt chills down my spine by the end of the table read for that movie and um I think, you know, and I've been in discussion with a few of the cast members since the world has kind of, I understand why they're exhausted. And it's just, it's very, it's very great that our movie can be a tool to all the people that now are choosing to educate themselves and are looking for ways to just furthermore, like, adapt to changing the ways that have been so instilled.

through time and history. So I think it's something that I'm obviously wanting to share with a lot of people. It's something that I feel that I was very grateful to learn from and be a part of, and I'm still learning every single day. And I don't know, I hope that it's not something that keeps coming in and out of style and becoming relevant and irrelevant. It's something that a conversation that needs to last and continue to be had in order to change. those those tendencies that people will fall into over time.

So I feel very, very, very lucky to have the knowledge and privilege of like witnessing what we made during that movie. Because that was only, we were telling one story. There's hundreds and thousands hold for plane. There's hundreds and thousands that go on notice that we don't know about. And that's what weighs, I think, really heavy on. on everybody's hearts. So if people are unaware of what's happening in the world,

I hope they can learn something from that movie. Yeah, and that, it's available on Hulu right now. And Apple, too. Like, I literally opened my TV the other day, and it was the first thing up there, which I was like, that's dope. It's so cool. It's definitely, definitely being highlighted right now.

And like you said, we just, if we all continue to try and educate ourselves, you know, Ria and I have been trying to do the same thing. And it's a great movie to watch and see your character and like, you know, look in the mirror and be like, what have I been doing? Because is this, is it similar to this? Yeah. I think the crazy thing about that movie when it came out, I couldn't believe the lengthy conversations I was having with people after they would watch

it, I would watch it. And that's just, that's what needs to be had. And so like if it takes that kind of tool or if it takes reading the book by Angie Thomas, which is an incredible book, or there's obviously plenty of documentaries out right now and resources that people are posting. Like it's the important thing is that people are having the conversation is important thing is that people are taking action whether that be donating and signing petitions

or getting involved in a way that you're understanding what's going on. Because I think there's a mentality of just like, all right, I posted and I can move on. It's like it's not as simple as that. We have real people behind. these screens in this world and um and they've been suffering for a long time and I think I think like when people say enough is enough like it's such an over said thing but truly it's yeah it's we

shouldn't still be having these these conversations and it shouldn't even be an argument or a question so I'm happy to be part of the conversation wherever I can be yeah absolutely um moving on to a little lighter note this is completely opposite but I want to talk about girl me's world because I I feel like, I know. We got to do a big clip, but I mean, you do it all. So we got to talk about it. Girl Meets World was, you know, such a huge thing when it first came out because I remember, obviously, Boy Meets World, fantastic show, iconic.

And everyone was freaking out because they were like, oh, my God, we're going to see them all grown up. And this new Disney Channel show. And then we saw it with that, So, Raven. So, you know, it's a little. been a while since the first season came out. I think it was like 2014, right?

Yeah, I looked that up. You know what? Yeah. Were you familiar with Boy Meets World when you got the part for the show? Yes. Boy Meets World was like my go-to, like, 8 a.m. before school. Yeah. Did I not go to school until 9 or 9.30? I don't know. But it was my go-to in the morning, like, watching

full house in Boy Means World and Fresh Prince to show that I always remember just loving. So it was kind of another one of those stories. I've gotten very lucky that, you know, some stories that have felt like I've been personally attached to them, like before they were kind of created are things that I eventually ended up getting to be a part of, which you always like pinch yourself in those moments. And yeah, I mean, that was my childhood in every way, shape, and form. I grew up on that set. I grew up around those people and luckily they were they were very kind-hearted, intelligent people that definitely gave me the ability to experiment and I definitely credit a lot of what I do now and where I am because of that show and that character that I got to play.

So yeah, a very, very special project. Yeah, I see you and Danielle Fischel kind of go still go back and forth on social and no, I'm not right now, but like, literally in the middle of it. Yes. Well, that's amazing because you can, with a show like that, you create those relationships.

And even though obviously, like, there's an age gap, like you create these beautiful relationships that you have and you guys can continue to work together on different projects, which is really cool. I want to also say that we have been dying to get you on our show.

And we thought we were going to be able to do it in person. When this, you know, when you had made your Broadway debut, you were going to be Katie Heron, mean girls, like, iconic the whole thing. Two nights, right? So, I mean, so you got to do it for two nights.

That was really my question. And then everything got shut down. Are you going to be able to go back to it? That is the golden question. It really depends on when the show comes back at this point. Because obviously right now we're still in a Broadway shutdown. Some other things are starting to, reopen, but I think it'll take a second before Broadway catches up. And I was privileged to be a part

of the community even for a short period of time. But I have so much respect for that community, even in that short period of time. And obviously, like, want it to be back as soon as possible. I mean, Broadway is something that I dreamed of doing my whole life. I just never thought I'd get to do it so soon. So really, when mean girls kind of, I stay fell into my lap, but like truly it's something that I always wanted. I just didn't think was in reach at this time in my life because there was other things happening. And as far as roles go,

I never thought that I would be equipped. And that's obviously what rehearsal and rehearsing for two months gave me, which was amazing. And I still feel like I have so much more to learn and do. So I hope I can return back to the show. That is the plan if it works out. So I hope you'll get to see me as Katie Heron. It was best two nights in my life.

So we've both seen Mean Girls before. Anything about my Broadway or just the movie? No, my boyfriend got me. I'm actually looking at the play ball right from me. That's very much. My boyfriend took me on Valentine's Day and I will say... Wait, this recent Valentine's Day? Yes.

Bro, I was like there. That's crazy. You were almost like in the crowd, like watching. You were almost. Katie and although the woman who played Katie was I mean amazing like she was Erica yeah she was so good and she's the best but when I found out that you were gonna play Katie I was like hmm just miss it but can you tell us just like what those two nights were like I mean and leading up to it too like I had really had like the learning experience of a lifetime getting to because I got to trail Erica as she was playing Katie so like that that meant like I would be backstage following her throughout the show for all her costume changes and and kind of seeing like the marathon that she runs essentially every single night and was just so blown away by the work ethic involved with everybody that it takes to make that show

so incredible as it is. And everybody involved. I definitely had like thoughts going into it of what it might be what it could be and just it exceeded all of my own. expectations. I mean, getting to play Katie, but, but especially the, um, the Broadway version of Katie, I think she's, she really has a full arc of a story to tell. Um, so it's really fun because, like, the Katie I play in Act 1 is completely different from the Katie I play in Act 2. Um, and it's really cool to be able to, uh, kind of have a, a full circle moment on stage. And like, it really does feel like I'm being reborn again every night. And by the time we get to, to Curtin Call, like I said, I only experienced that twice, but like the feeling is, is, is,

is very similar to the feeling I feel when I'm on tour and I'm on stage at the end of a show. And so that was a really good feeling to be back in that place again, but in a different light, in a different way. And being a little ginger. I guess I just attract these ginger roles. So, yeah, it was very, very fun. Yeah, well, I hope that everyone gets to see you as Katie soon, hopefully Broadway. Did you like, you like the show, though?

Did you have any favorite songs from the show? The show's amazing. I know I'm putting you on the spot. Sorry, I'm not supposed to be interviewing y'all, but I'm just like trying to remember the names of the song. Well, there's also like two hours worth of music. Oh, yeah. But I remember my boyfriend was like dying, laughing throughout the whole thing. And I honestly was like a little nervous as to, you know, because I feel like it's more of a girly show and whatnot.

And it was his choice to take me. So I was like, I wonder how he's going to react to this. And he was like me slapping the whole time. There's, when I tell you, because I had some friends and guy friends come to my opening night, and they were, they were also like dying of laughter. I mean, yeah, when I first saw the show, I wanted to play Damien, and that wasn't in the cards for me. So I ended up playing Katie, which I'm also very grateful for the opportunity. But Damien's one of my favorite characters in Gray, who played the original, and then Chad, who plays the new room. They're all so amazing.

But the writing in the show, it's just like, it feels real. So that's what makes it so lovable. Yeah. Good on. I can't remember what the, I can't remember what the name of it is, but the- don't worry, guys.

Everybody does. I know, so true. You have the play bill right in front of you. The song that everybody does in like, in like the cafeteria where they're up on the tables and stuff. Oh, where do you belong? Yes.

Love that was. They performed that at the Tonys, too. It's just the catchiest thing in the world. I mean, yeah, the soundtrack is great because it's so diverse. Some songs definitely feel more like current pop.

other songs feel very musical theater oriented. Some have like the songs that Janice sings are a little bit more like angsty and like more of a rock influence. So yeah, I'm a huge fan of the show. I think that's why it was so fun to do because I was just like literally fan-girling the whole time. Yeah, it's really great. Unfortunately, we have to wrap up.

The last thing that I want to say is probably, you know, I've watched a couple times now because I thought it was so cute and so funny, you're, you're punked. And I felt so, I felt so bad for you because as soon as you just like burst into tears, I was like, oh, this poor girl. Yeah, that's literally just me. Like, that's the unfortunate thing about punked is like, there really is no, like, there really is no, like, alter personality that you can, like, I mean, but that was the

thing is, like, this guy was saying things to me that I was like, no, you can't possibly, like, I would have reacted in a completely different way had I known. that there was cameras on me, but I had to almost be, like, serious and legitimate to get rid of the rats because I do not, I do not mess with rats. That is one, that's for sure.
