Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is... What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. This podcast is presented to you by Francia, our favorite wine to drink this summer. Unfortunately, this summer is coming to an end.
Starting point is 00:00:35 But I hope that you've been drinking Francia all summer long and that you'll continue. you to drink it as the time goes on. You know what we say every single podcast. Why get one bottle? Why get two bottles when you can get six and a half bottles in one box with your favorite type of wine, whatever it is, whether you like whites, whether you like reds, whether you like some rosé, they have it all and we've been drinking it all summer long. You are right. They have it all. We love seeing you guys picking up your franzia, whether it's in the store or you're out already drinking it. It's fantastic. There is a variety for every occasion in the summer. The rosé is so great. They got the boxes. They got the juice boxes. At any occasion, celebrate with Francia. Even if you're just hanging out,
Starting point is 00:01:21 relaxing, it's the perfect way to unwind, have a nice glass of wine, preferably Francia. Yeah, there you go. Keep tagging us in those posts. We see it. We love it. Keep drinking Francia, or as we like to call it, Fran Rea. That's, you know, a little joke there. Fran Rea, ha ha, get it. Speaking of Fran Rea, Francesca, I feel blessed today. Blessed, okay.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Please. Why do you feel blessed? Because we got to have two sleepovers in the span of one week. And to me, that makes my heart happy. And I may shed a tear right now on this podcast as we talk about it because I'm just overjoyed. After going months without seeing each other, we've had two sleepovers in the past week. And to me, that's beautiful. You're right. You are right.
Starting point is 00:02:19 We have been lucky to get to spend more time together. Ria was introduced to beat Bobby Flee this weekend. It's really taken over. She just, have you seen someone beat Bobby Flea yet? Yes, I have. Okay, good. And I'd like to note that I love to third wheel. Like, I love third wheeling in a couple, you know, in a relationship.
Starting point is 00:02:45 I love hanging out with couples when they're close to me, aka Fran and her boyfriend. We always have a great time, the three of us together. It's like, it's always laughs. We always play games. We always play games. And we always drink a little. little bit and have some fun and that's what we did and then we stayed up watching beat bobby flay chopped edition so chopped bobby flay and i had never watched beat bobby flay before but thankfully
Starting point is 00:03:13 fran and her boyfriend introduced me to it yeah and i've been watching all weekend like all weekend long i've been watching chopped and beat bobby flay together separate and i truthfully didn't even want to record this podcast today because i didn't want to look away from my screen and look away away from beat Bobby Fly and chop. Yeah. And once you first start watching and you finally see someone beat Bobby, be Bobby fly, it's just, it's just amazing. It's an adrenaline. It really is. You're like, fuck you, Bobby. You're just like, yes. Finally. Down with Bobby. Down with Bobby. That's what I'm chanting at my TV as I'm watching this. But yeah, honestly, just I've been positive vibes, positive vibes ever since I've been blessed seeing your face for intestinal.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Yeah. It was, it was very nice to spend, to spend that time together and enjoy our, enjoy our weekend. Of course. And like you said, lots of beep Bobby Fly, which I now love. It's very exciting. And I'm, I go through phases with the food network where sometimes I'll watch it constantly and then I'll go months without watching any cooking shows and then I jump back into it. My personal favorite is cut through kitchen. That's not on air anymore. But now I've been watching Chopped all weekend, which I have watched before, obviously. I feel like if you haven't seen Chopped, then you just haven't seen any of those shows. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:37 But not to this extent. So I'm... New episode of Chopped to be Bobby Flay tonight. You know I'll be tuning in. You know I'll be texting you guys. I'll be checking both of you. And if you are not tuning in, I don't even want to talk to you. Well, remember Joe, Joe recorded the series.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So we will... Because it is going to conflict with the VMAs. So going to have to watch that after. Which we will be watching and recapping on this show. Don't worry about it. So that brings us into the topics. Let's get right into it because we got a heavy podcast today. We got a lot of topics and a great interview with Rachel Lindsay.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Of course, today's topics, we have Bella Thorne and OnlyFans. Last week, we were cheering Bella Thorne on for OnlyFans. This week, we are not. We are mad at Bell Thorne because there is a big problem with her and OnlyFans going on. We'll break it down. We will also be talking about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. We both watched it together. Finale.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Yeah, sorry, the finale. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale, I just can't stop thinking about what the reunion's going to bring. That's why I said reunion. Yeah, yeah. We will also be talking about Brad Pitt and his new girlfriend who actually is married and has an open relationship, so that's an interesting dynamic.
Starting point is 00:05:47 We will also be breaking down the VMAs, like I said. And everyone sent us that picture of Jacob Lardy, kissing Tommy Dorfman. We will explain to you guys what we think is happening. We think we know the answer to the situation, so we'll break it down. So let's get into it, starting off with Bella Thorne. Bella Thorne was riding high for about two days until this whole OnlyFans thing came crashing down on her. It was reported that she made $2 million in just one week on OnlyFans.
Starting point is 00:06:47 She was, you know, she had it up for $200. People could subscribe. And then I think what had happened was she wrote that she would send nudes and all these people subscribed $200 thinking they were going to get nudes from Bella Thorne. That did not end up happening. So she made a bunch of money. People wanted refunds. Now only fans can't afford how much Bella Thorne made.
Starting point is 00:07:12 So she's actually screwing sex workers out of money because only, fans can't afford what Bellathorn has done and now they dropped and lowered the prices of how much people can charge on only fans. So Bellethorne has caused a shitstorm with
Starting point is 00:07:31 only fans at this point. Yeah, it seems like she because not only was she, there's like the subscription that's a monthly fee, I think once you're a subscriber, they have this pay-per-view feature where you can pay additional
Starting point is 00:07:47 money and she had teased like $200 pay-per-view. She would be naked. I guess she wasn't naked. I don't know. People wanted a refund, which then made OnlyFans lower the amount of that you can charge for the pay-per-view to only $50 as long as maxing out how much you can tip. So obviously people are pissed about this. I'll read these tweets from Erica Heidelwald, as I'll say who she is.
Starting point is 00:08:15 She is, you know, she explained this whole thing. She said in multiple tweets, if you don't understand why every sex worker hates Bellethorne's stinky guts and how she endangered the livelihood of hundreds of thousands of creators, let me explain it to you. First, Bella Thorne made it only fans that made a million dollars in her first day. This isn't the bad part. Then she sent out a $200 pay-per-view message that claimed was a nude photo,
Starting point is 00:08:40 but when subscribers paid to open it, they found it was a lingerie photo. Seeing as she scammed them, they wanted their money, back and OnlyFans has a policy that you get your money back if you get scammed. So suddenly a fuck ton of people ask for a charge back and this causes problems for OnlyFans because they have processing costs. So people suddenly requesting millions in chargebacks make them lose a lot of money. To be able to pay all these people back and prevent such a massive chargeback problem in the future, Onlyfans change their policies. So now the maximum price for a pay-per-view message is $50 and a maximum
Starting point is 00:09:10 tip someone can send is 100. And all the money you make on OnlyFans is pending for 30. days. Previously, the funds you made on only fans were only pending for a week, so most creators got paid at least once a week. Imagine suddenly going from a weekly pay cycle to a, to a weekly paycheck, to a monthly paycheck. That's what's happening to 450,000 content creators. She continued to see people have bills to pay, kids to feed many people, including content creators and sex workers, live paycheck to paycheck. This is real harm. And she just, you know, she continued to say the $50 pay-per-view and $100 tip cap. I've seen people who are not sex workers saying this seems reasonable because you are,
Starting point is 00:09:47 she did not hold back, because you are ignorant morons talking on something you don't understand. Sex workers don't get paid hourly. You make larger amounts inconsistently. Paper view messages are frequently used by sex workers to sell more explicit content. So Bell Thorne just,
Starting point is 00:10:03 they're saying she basically scammed all these people out of this money and now makes their life harder. She didn't really think about the consequences of how the rest of the community would suffer. by her doing that. Right. I feel like Bella Thorne got extremely greedy in this situation because she makes money from all different angles.
Starting point is 00:10:24 We talked about this in the last podcast. She's obviously an actress. She does TV. She does movies. She has her own companies. All these places where she has a source of income. And then she saw what was happening with only fans joined in. And I think she saw how much money she was making and probably didn't realize when she said
Starting point is 00:10:43 that she would send a nude. and she was probably laughing to herself and being like, ha ha, I'll say I'll send nudes, but I actually won't and didn't realize the harm that would cause because that's actually one of my biggest pet peeves on the internet is when people, anybody is like,
Starting point is 00:10:59 do this and I'll get naked or put us, you know, subscribe and I'll send you a nude with people who obviously don't do that. You know what I mean? They just like try to bribe people by saying they'll send nudes. And then they don't. And it's just like, I could do that too.
Starting point is 00:11:14 but I know I'm not going to get naked for these people, so I don't want to tease them and make them subscribe to something. I'm not going to get naked. So it's that. And now these people, the sex workers on OnlyFans, this is some of their only income. So now for Bella Thorne, who makes money in all different ways, she's going to be fine.
Starting point is 00:11:34 But these other people are not going to be fine because this is their source of income. They're not a famous actress, and they don't have multiple companies where they're making money. Right. She tried to work the system, and I think, I don't think she went into this expecting this to happen. Obviously, Only fans had to respond in some way. And I don't think OnlyFans was really set up to have these mainstream celebrities using their platform.
Starting point is 00:12:04 So once this happened, Bella did not see Only fans changing their policies. These only fans didn't think that Bella was going to be doing these things. And now it hurts the rest of the creators on OnlyFans. Bella did tweet saying that she wanted to remove the stigma behind sex, sex work and the negativity that surrounds the word sex itself by bringing a mainstream face to it. That's what she was trying to do to help bring more faces to the site to create more revenue for content creators on the site.
Starting point is 00:12:39 She said, I wanted to bring more attention to the site, the more people on the site, the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas. And in trying to do this, I hurt you. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex where porn and natural hatred people spew behind anything sex-related. I wrote and directed to porn against the high brows of my peers and managers because I wanted to help with the stigma behind sex. I am a mainstream face. And when you have a voice, a platform, you try to use you and helping others and advocate for something bigger than yourself. Again, in this process, I hurt you. And for that, I'm truly sorry. P.S. I'm meeting with Only fans.
Starting point is 00:13:11 about the new restrictions to find out why. This is fucked up and I'm sorry. Comment any ideas or concerns you want brought up to OnlyFans and send me your links in a pick so I can promote you guys. So she apologizes, which is fine, but I understand what she wanted to do with the account. It's just unfortunate that because of her actions, OnlyFans changed so many of their policies and she was the catalyst for that. Exactly. And I think that the only way that this is going to be fixed is if she does meet with only fans and there is actually a change that comes from it.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Right. Exactly. Like if Bellathorne in a few days can say, I had that meeting, they're changing it back. I'm trying to help you guys. It's not going to be your money's not going to be tied up for 30 days. You know, maybe people will be okay with that. But for now, people are very upset with her. Very upset. We are going to get into our recap of the VMAs, but first, I just want to tell you guys about, you know, how I deal with kind of being, quote, unquote, on all the time. Say, you know, we're recording the podcast. It's going on for a long time. The best way to unwind after those days is with the beer that is made to chill, Coors Light. And right now, right now, Now, Coors Light, they got new packaging. Don't miss out. It's already hitting the shelves. The new design features clear skies that invite you to sit back on wine and drink it all in. The iconic Coors Light Mountains still turn blue when your beer is as cold as the Rockies. It's a brand new look for that same ice cold refreshment. Coors Light is cold, loggered, cold bill dirt, and cold package, like I said, literally made to chill.
Starting point is 00:15:40 It's as crisp and refreshing as the Colorado Rockies, perfect for a moment to unwind. So like I said at the beginning, you know, we're recording the podcast for a long time. We're done. We're feeling like we did a great job. We're excited for the episode to come out. I go downstairs.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I open my fridge. I crack open to Korz Light. Sit down. Maybe I sit outside. Maybe I'm watching TV. Whatever it is, just enjoy it with a nice, ice cold Kors Light. It's the best way to just, chill, relax, and enjoy that cold, cold beer.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Coorslight is the one we choose when we need to unwind. So when you want to hit reset, reach for the beer that's made to chill. Get Coorslight and the new look delivered straight to your door at get.corslight.com. And as always, guys, remember to celebrate responsibly. This is coming from the Coors Brewing Company, Golden Colorado. Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Last night was the VMAs, and it was way different this year. Obviously, a lot of it was pre-recorded, and there was no audience, although it seemed like there was an audience because there was very loud cheering at times, very confusing. I was lost the entire time, and also it was quite boring. Yeah, it was just a different kind of show. They tried the best that they could, but not having it live is still pretty weird
Starting point is 00:17:11 they definitely just filmed everything in front of a really intense green screen like I saw this TikTok of some kid that was one of the virtual fans and it was like on Zoom and he watched like the person
Starting point is 00:17:29 that he was supposed to clap for was Madison Beer who when she came out like she was just in front of a green screen presenting her award so the whole thing was I mean, it's pre-recorded, so it's hard. The performances were fine. There's no air of like this was a live performance, so it was very different.
Starting point is 00:17:50 The whole thing was just like a Lady Gaga tribute show. Pretty much the whole thing. Every time I looked up on the screen, Lady Gaga was up on there. And, you know, I love Lady Gaga, so I welcome all the Gaga in the world. But I felt like I was watching a Lady Gaga-themed award show. they made an entire award for her, which was nice. I feel like Lady Gaga deserves her owner award. But yeah, it just felt like the Lady Gaga show.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Nothing really stood out to me. Obviously, we had some performances. The ending performance was the Black Eyed Peas, and they had light up dicks, basically. Like, their dicks were just lighting up. You know, I guess they had LED cups going on. So that was something. And also, Miley Cyrus performed.
Starting point is 00:18:33 She sounded great. It was the first time that she performed Midnight Sky Live. I think she did an awesome job. Wrecking ball. She rode the wrecking ball again. Yes, that was very exciting. And it brought me back to, you know. Flashbacks.
Starting point is 00:18:47 I wouldn't, I was going to say better times, but I'm just not quite sure, you know? For Miley, I think these are the better times. But for sure. For us looking back, wrecking ball, it was great. Actually, I was listening to the song 23 the other day, In the Club, High Off Park, with my shades on. And personally, I loved that song. but I thought about what did Fran think about that song when it came out?
Starting point is 00:19:10 Because I can imagine that you were not feeling it. No, I loved all that Miley music. You did. That's, um, I, that shocks me. That shocks me. No, I was, I've really been along for the ride as a Miley fan. Like there was some, it was really just the, all my animals, all my animals are dead phase. Like that, like the one that she did, you know, it was more like of her psychedelic stuff
Starting point is 00:19:36 that she did with what's his face? You know who I'm talking about. The guy. Wasn't it called dead pets? Yes, yes. But you know the guy that she did all that she collaborated with on all those songs.
Starting point is 00:19:52 He was an older guy, long gray hair. Wayne Coyne. That was him. Wayne. Wayne was very involved in that time. And no, but that the, I liked all that Miley stuff back then. Just because it's Miley.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Couldn't hate it. I think if it was anyone else, you wouldn't like it. But since it's Miley, that makes sense. Yeah, exactly. And, you know, she's riding on her disco ball. It was a great performance, which is, you know, you expect that for Miley. I think my favorite was BTS. I love BTS.
Starting point is 00:20:29 They just put a smile on my face. They're out there. They're dancing. They're having a good time. Their music is just, like, upbeat and fun. And I'm just kind of always bouncing around whenever they are, whenever they are performing. And then other than that, like you said, Lady Gaga, she performed a lot. She had like three songs.
Starting point is 00:20:48 She won like every award. The weekend won a lot of awards too. Yeah, I mean, there wasn't, it wasn't your typical VMAs. So there's nothing that we could be like, wow, this happened or whoa, that happened. There was no like wild live moment. There was everything, I think, was. for the most part pre-recorded. So if there was any mistakes,
Starting point is 00:21:09 they would be made up for and fixed. So I don't think we got any of that. I mean, it's nice that they still tried to put on a show. Obviously, in these times, it's hard to do that. It made it seem like there was fans at the beginning. The whole thing, like it was confusing. Very confusing.
Starting point is 00:21:26 It was confusing. And I wanted to shut it off multiple times. I did. I can't sit here and lie and say that I was totally engaged the entire time because I was not. but it's the times we're living in. Yeah, yeah. They did the best they could.
Starting point is 00:21:43 And like, I wish they, I understand they wanted like a big opening number, but I kind of wish they saved the weekend till closer to the end because that was the coolest one they did. It was on the roof at Hudson Yards. There was like a massive fireworks show. Like that was by far the one of the cooler ones that they did. So I feel like maybe they should have,
Starting point is 00:22:03 they should have saved that. Kiki was great, you know, That's a hard job to host a show that has no people actually there. She kept talking to fans like there was actual people there. So, you know, she did the best with what she had, I feel like. I also want to give a special shout out to Machine Gun Kelly, who had an amazing outfit on the red carpet. It was Harry Styles-esque with an edge. And I would like to give Machine Gun Kelly that credit.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Yeah. And he won an award for Bloody Valentine, which, you know, just can celebrate that with Megan Fox, take that home. Hope they have some wild sex or something tonight to make up for the lack of energy in the VMAs. Madison beer looked fantastic. No surprise there. It was like drop dead gorgeous. Miley's red carpet look was, and there was no carpet. Like it was like a weird pre-post picture that they just put the backdrop on.
Starting point is 00:23:05 because obviously everything was done already. So, sad, oh, yes, Norman, sad vibe. Norman also did that.
Starting point is 00:23:13 Norman wants me to hurry up. He's like, Mom, come to bed. Yep. He's out. He's like, it's late.
Starting point is 00:23:18 You're not supposed to be talking this late. Shut up. Yeah, he was sleeping. I woke him up with the sound of my voice. Sorry, Norman.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Oops. Um, and honestly, you know, that was about, that was really about it. We don't even really have to get into the words because,
Starting point is 00:23:32 like I said, and we talked about before, the fact that Harry's Diles wasn't nominated. It's just, you know, not fair. And, you know, the George Brothers lost too. Understandable, they lost to BTS, which makes sense. But then it was just Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga and the weekend.
Starting point is 00:23:51 You know what? Cheers to Lady Gaga. This one's for you. It was. This was really the Lady Gaga show. She got to wear like 12 different outfits, different masks to go with every look. It was all around.
Starting point is 00:24:04 And bravo to her and Ariana, too, because it really seemed like they were singing live and doing that with masks on. And they sounded fantastic. So congrats to them. That was their whole show. Obviously, this weekend, we received some incredibly, incredibly sad news that Chadwick Boseman had passed away at the age of 43 years old after battling colon cancer for the last four years. No one knew that he had been going through this battle, which is. is incredibly sad in itself, but also extremely strong of him that he filmed so many movies and kept going on with his life and just spreading words of wisdom and strength to other people
Starting point is 00:25:23 while no one knew what he was going through. So this news, I think, was just shocking to all. Yeah, it was really, really devastating, really shocking. You know how much I love all the Marvel movies. He was so incredible as the Black Panther, and he was an icon and someone for young people to look up to. And I was, like, floored when I saw this. I could not believe it. It just, like, really, really shook me. You know, his family had put out a statement on his social media,
Starting point is 00:26:05 and, you know, they had basically said that he's, like you said, He's been battling this for the last four years. Nobody knew he made all these movies while going through countless surgeries and chemotherapy. And he passed in his home with his wife and family by his side. And we've gotten to see really nice videos of him just do, like press tours, seeing him visit with young kids with cancer. And it just made you realize that throughout that whole time, he was helping others while he himself was so sick and no one and no one knew, which is crazy.
Starting point is 00:26:44 And it makes me sad because over the last year or so, you know, pictures came out of him. He looked very skinny. People really criticized him. You know, that he was on drugs or all these things and all these accusations when in reality he was fighting for his life. So if anything, you know, we got to be a little. little bit nicer to people when, you know, not as quick to judge as we don't know what people are going through. That was, that really, I think, shook everyone. Yeah, and I think that there are two lessons that you can take away from this, especially when sad news like this hits, because
Starting point is 00:27:21 obviously you don't know the person personally, but you feel, you feel like you do, and the emotions hit you really hard. And I feel like there are two lessons that you can take away when you receive news like this because obviously when you hear this type of news, but you don't know the person personally, but you feel like you do, the emotions are overcoming you and you may cry about it. And that's okay. Even if you don't know the person, I feel like sometimes when something like this happens, people get really emotional and really upset, but then they think to themselves, I don't know this person. Why do I feel this way? It's a very human way to feel and it's okay. And you should feel this way, especially someone like him who was so moving and inspired so many people.
Starting point is 00:28:02 but I feel like the two lessons, like I said, should be, you know, you never know what somebody's going through. Obviously, nobody knew that he was going through this for four years. You really never know what somebody is going through in their lives, even if you listen to the person, talk on a podcast like this, or you watch them in movies or TV or, you know, people that you follow on social media. You think you know them, but you really don't know what they are going through personally. I mean, nobody shares everything that's going on with their life. And also, It's a reminder to be thankful for the people in your life every day, or if you get into a fight with somebody, or you get annoyed with somebody,
Starting point is 00:28:40 or you're getting upset with your family members or friends or whatever it is, something that I remind myself pretty often because I've brought this up, that I am, like, terrified of the subject of death. It really freaks me out. And I think about often, like, losing my loved ones, and I can't even fathom that feeling. So it's like just take that and remember that you really never know when it could be somebody's last day. You think that, you know, you live forever, but nobody lives forever. So I feel like just, you know, next time you get into, you know, stupid argument with somebody or you're feeling fed up or you're feeling frustrated or whatever it is, just remind yourself that, you know, a stupid fight to not, you know, end a friendship or whatever it is, relationship. Just love the people around you. Let them know you love them. Tell a positive. apologize, even if you don't feel like you're completely wrong. Just be good and level and positive
Starting point is 00:29:36 with people because you really never know what's going to happen. Yeah, I'm with you. Life is, you forget and you see something like this and it reminds you that life is so short and he did so, so much in his life in those years where he was sick and making all of those movies. It's really, it's impossible for me really to wrap my wrap my mind around. And like you said, you know, it's okay to get upset over something like this. Like I was sobbing watching him on the Tonight Show when they were, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:14 he was there to surprise fans of Black Panther and they were just talking about what the movie meant to them and then he came out and surprised them. And he just seemed like such an incredible guy. the director of Black Panther put out a statement, which I recommend going to read because it was really great and also kind of just gave an inside look of how Chadwick was as a person, as a person that we didn't know, obviously from just watching the movies. So it's just incredibly sad and just pray for his family and his wife. And it's just awful.
Starting point is 00:30:56 As you all know, we absolutely love Monster Energy Ultra. It is our favorite way to get that Friday energy anytime and any day of the week. It is the best energy drink on the market. You won't find anything that tastes better and gives you that kind of energy that you need. You know that my favorite flavor is the ultraviolet, taste like a purple pixie stick. But there's also two new flavors, the ultra-rovales. and the Ultra Fiesta, the Ultra Rosa tastes like a pink starburst. And, you know, we always compare these drinks to candy, but that's because they actually do taste like candy in a can while
Starting point is 00:32:12 giving you that energy. But it has zero sugar, really low in calories, like 10 calories per can. And the ultra-zero white can actually has zero calories and zero sugar. And that one tastes really good as well. So you know that we love Monster Energy Ultra and we think that. you should be drinking this as your energy drink of choice. All the flavors they have, like we said, Rosa, Fiesta, Zero, Paradise, Sunrise, Violet, my personal favorite. Also, the red, the blue. That will give you Friday energy any time that you need it. And you know what? If you like one flavor, you don't like one flavor, there's many options. Like I said, there's going to be a flavor for you that you enjoy. I can promise you that and you're going to get the energy you need with Monster Energy
Starting point is 00:33:00 Ultra. So go get that Monster Energy Ultra and tag us when you drink it. We love to see you guys drinking our favorite energy drink. Brad Pitt has a new girlfriend. She is a supermodel. Her name is Nicole Polterowski. She's 27 years old. And when we first saw the news, we were like, of course, Brad Pitt supermodel. She's absolutely gorgeous. Kind of looks like Angelina Jolie. A little bit. Yes, that. Because you know what? If you look like Angelina Jolie props to you, you're one of the most beautiful people on the planet. So great work. Also, I was impressed that she was 27, mainly because, you know, we see with Leonardo DiCaprio, he goes for younger gals. 27 is still very young, but it's not, it's not 20, 21. So I'm proud of Brad in that way. He's 56 years old, you know, go ageing up in the 20s.
Starting point is 00:33:46 I like to see that. But then it came out that Nicole, the supermodel girlfriend, is actually married. she is married and she's in an open relationship with a older man and it seems like even older than brad so now she wants a little a little piece of some young meat because she's with an old guy and they've been married for seven years and they have a seven-year-old kid and this is a surprise to me i was not expecting brad pitt to enter a relationship with somebody who's married feel like that complicates things very much but Tis Hollywood. It is, and I guess that's the point of an open marriage. When page six posted this article this morning, I clicked on it and just as soon as I got to the second paragraph, it was like,
Starting point is 00:34:36 oh, oh, what? Wait, what? I was like the, like you were, you're rubbing your eyes and like, he's polishing the screen. Like, is that, does that say 68 years old? So yeah, Nicole, she's, like, you said, married to this German restaurateur, they've been married, they have a seven-year-old son, he owns a restaurant in Berlin, and this is apparently his fourth marriage,
Starting point is 00:35:04 and a source had said that they are still married, but you could describe their relationship as an open marriage, he has been married several times and has five children. He is not interested in negativity or jealousy. So, old
Starting point is 00:35:18 Roland Mary is his name. Roland, guess he doesn't give a fuck who his wife is sleeping with, even if it's Brad Pitt. I feel like because he's very old at this point, and now, listen, 68 is not very old. I think very old is like 80 something. But when you're 68 and dating a 27-year-old, then I'm going to call you very old because the difference is there. I feel like he's like, you know what? Also, sorry, also 27, she has a 7-year-old son. like he was with her when she was 20 and they were having babies. Right. It's weird. But I feel like in his mind, he's like, listen, I get to walk around with a hot supermodel on my arm when I want to
Starting point is 00:36:02 because we're married and we have a kid together. So if she wants to bang Brad Pitt on her off time, on her duties that she's not being a mother, you know, when she gets some free time, go ahead. And I feel like this is also the best case scenario for Brad Pitt. I feel like Brad Pitt doesn't want to be tied down completely. You know, he is going through a divorce still with Angelina Jolie. That is a whole mess in itself. And I feel like Brad Pitt is not one to be tied down at this time either. I feel like, you know, he was in a relationship for a while, Angelina Jolie. He's in the dating scene. He's looking better than ever, even though he's 56 years old. He's probably like, okay, I'm clearly not going to marry this girl because she's already married.
Starting point is 00:36:43 So you know what? Best of both worlds for me will have a relationship for a little while. Then she'll get sick of me. She's in an open relationship. It's clearly. not the first time she's done this. It's not her first rodeo hooking up with a man outside of her marriage. So it's not going to be the last either. Right. No better way to avoid dating someone who wants to get married when you're not in the right, when you don't want to get married, then just dating someone that's already married. And you never have to worry about it. So congrats, Brad. Yep. Exactly. Seems like they've got a interesting dynamic that is, going to work for the time being. Yeah, it's probably just sex. Let's be real. They're probably
Starting point is 00:37:27 having a little sex right now, and that's what it is. Because I feel like when you have an open relationship, your relationship is with the person that you're in an open relationship with, and then you just have sex with other people. Right, right. Well, like, I don't think you're having full-on relationship. Like, her and Brad Pitt's relationship, I don't think is a full-on relationship. I think it's a sexual relationship. Do you mean that in that they don't do other things? No, they probably do other things, but the end of the night always ends with them having sex. Oh, oh, oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Because in some relationships, the end of the night doesn't always end with having sex when you're in a relationship for a while. But I feel like since this is an open relationship, she has an open marriage. She's probably just banging Brad Pitt. Right. Like, I feel like that's what the endeavors are when you're in an open relationship. Now, mind you, I've never had one, so I don't know the rules. Right, because what's the end game there, right? You know, a normal relationship, you think, okay, I really like this person.
Starting point is 00:38:32 We'll get serious and then maybe down the line we'll get married. And maybe if you don't even believe in marriage, you just think that you'll be committed to each other in some way. She starts seeing Brad Pitt. Those options are just off the table unless she decides to get, you know, close. divorce that man and, you know, so exactly, like, those options are just off the table. Like, it's not like, oh, I can't wait to marry him. It's like, I'm already married. Yeah, it's like, I'm married, but I banged bread pit on the side. Yep, yeah. What's better than that?
Starting point is 00:39:01 God. It looks like this girl's got a nice situation. Right. Either way, this girl's going to end up with a shit ton of money. That's what I read from this situation. Seems to be like, yeah, that's the kind, that's where she is right now, for sure. So multiple people sent us these pictures freaking out of Tommy Dorfman and Jacob Ellardy. Tommy Dorfman posted on his Instagram, Jacob LRD, kissing him on the cheek. They were embracing each other. Everyone's like, oh, my God, is Jacob Lardy dating Tommy Dorfman and not Zendaya? Guys, Tommy Dorfman is married.
Starting point is 00:40:08 So unless Tommy left his husband, he is not dating Jacob Elody, unless they have an open relationship and he's just like Brad Pitt. and his girlfriend, unless they have an open relationship and he's like, I'm banging Jacob L.R.D., I don't think that's the case. Right. I think Tommy Dorfman pulled a little break-the-internet moment. You know, he's had these cute pictures, let's post, let's everybody freak out, their friends. And the comments totally fueled the fire on that too.
Starting point is 00:40:43 You know, people are freaking out. Oh, my God, what? Oh, my God. Like, eyeball emojis, my heart. heart emojis. And then like there's there's a couple that are like, oh, cute friends. You know, and like one of the top comments is Tommy has a husband.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Can you all accept that two boys can show affection? The fuck? What, that's a good one. What episode of Euphoria is this? So, yeah, it was definitely a post to get the people going, which it definitely did. Now, there are some rumors that they were on this trip.
Starting point is 00:41:17 I don't know where they are exactly. it looks like, you know, they took some kind of country, you know, countryside trip that Jacob is actually now seeing Kaya Gerber. And they're all there together. Kai and Tommy Dorfman are very good friends as well. Very interesting. You told me this and I was knocked out of my seat when I heard it. Not two people that I would pair together, but also not shocked at all. I could definitely see Jacob already in Kaya Gerber dating. It does upset me a little bit though, because I felt like seeing the pictures of Zendaya and Jacob Ellery together. I thought they had something.
Starting point is 00:41:53 I thought that Zendaya and Jacob were endgame. I don't know why I would ever think that for a Hollywood celebrity couple. But in my head, I was like, they're going to date for a while. You know, when I say end game, I think at least a year or more in Hollywood years. So I thought that they would be dating for a while. But hey, game one year. End game in Hollywood equal one year. But Jacob Already and Kyah Gerber.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Cute couple. And by cute, I mean, sexy as fuck. Yeah, really, really super attractive. And on top of that, who knows, I have a feeling that maybe with COVID and everything that happened, maybe Zendaya and Jacob decided to take a little bit of a break. Zendaya did post her Rue converse. So people think that season, they're starting up season two of euphoria, which means that Jacob and Zendaya. could potentially be reuniting on set right now,
Starting point is 00:42:52 which means that they could end up getting, you know, maybe that rekindles while they're on set. You know what? That may be. And they must be starting soon because Outer Banks is starting filming this week. Yep. Which, by the way. Which, yeah, I mean, we...
Starting point is 00:43:09 Don't even get me started. Still waiting for that phone call. I check my email every hour refreshing from somebody saying... still waiting for that call. From the casting department of Outer Banks. And you know what? It never comes. I tried and I failed. That's the moral of the story.
Starting point is 00:43:27 I will not be on Outer Banks season two. And for the people thinking I'm tricking you saying, I'm not doing it and then all of a sudden I'm going to pop up in season two. That's not the case. She would be shouting it from the rooftop so she got it. No way she's holding that one in. No, I actually think I would try to hold it in as much as Trent did because I feel like that would be cool.
Starting point is 00:43:47 I could do that. I know that I could do that as much as people don't think I could. But that's not what you're doing right now. It's not what I'm doing. They just didn't, they didn't reach out to me. They don't care about me. I'm not going to be on season two.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Whatever. Whatever. It's fine. We're fine. It's totally fine. I'm not even laughing. Yep, totally fine. If you guys are suffering from all of those problems you get once a month,

That's Office 15 for 15% off the first bottle of a new subscription. Once again, flowvitamins.com. F-L-O-Vitamins. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale was on Wednesday night last week. The reunion starts this Wednesday, all very exciting. But we want to just talk about the finale a little bit because we have been touching on the Real Housewives a little bit more on this show. I just finished binging all of Beverly Hills, and we,
Starting point is 00:46:43 Ria and I watched the finale together, and we just, we just want to discuss because there's been so much going on this season with Denise and Brandy, and I hope he gets some answers in the reunion, but with the cease and desist situation, I don't know if, I don't know if we really will,
Starting point is 00:47:03 but the finale episode was fantastic. It was unbelievable. I forget how good this show is when I actually sit down and watch it. It just really captures you in. You know, you get tied right into it. The whole drama with Denise and Brandy has been the main focus of this season. You know, did Denise and Brandy have a relationship of some sort an entanglement, one might say, are they just platonic friends? Is that it? Denise denies having any sort of relationship
Starting point is 00:47:38 with Brandy whatsoever not even a friendship it's not even that you know they didn't have sex it's she's saying that they are not even friends and Brandy of course met up with the girls showed them text messages of her and Denise it was a year's worth of text messages that very clearly
Starting point is 00:47:56 made it seem like they did have some sort of relationship yeah and I think that if you don't believe that they hooked up then you are the most gullible person on earth and you'll believe whatever somebody tells you. Because you can't sit there and say Denise Richards isn't lying. She is so clearly lying. So clearly lying. And I am not somebody who likes Brandy. And I was rooting for Denise when she joined the Real Housewives. I was like, I think Denise Richards is going to be good on this show. But it's been a disaster. And I just feel like it's really sad when you are making
Starting point is 00:48:33 brandy look good. Like that's when you know you've been fucking up is when brandy comes out looking like the good guy. And, and Denise, I don't know what had something happened with Denise because the first season, like last season when she was on it,
Starting point is 00:48:48 I thought it went really well. She was very chill, very, you know, down to hang. And this season, something just switched in her. I don't know what it was. I don't know if it was because of the brandy stuff or what, but she was just more on edge.
Starting point is 00:49:06 She's complaining to everybody. She's worried about how she's coming across on TV. I think she started to care more and more about how she was portrayed as a mom. And regardless of what, like, Brandy may be exaggerating in the situation. Regardless of that, Denise 100% is lying because they do have some kind of relationship. I mean, watching Brandy sit at the. table in the Capri room at Buga de Beppo and being like I basically I you know fill in the blank because it was bleeped but I'm pretty sure she had said I fucking sucked on her clip I'm guessing
Starting point is 00:49:48 is what she had said and what they beat because the reaction from the ladies was just like just hilarious and I and do I believe that Brandy sucked on Denise's shit yes I do I do. I do. 100% I believe it. I just think Denise is lying so, so much to try and hide this whole thing. And we saw her
Starting point is 00:50:16 react to like, you know, talking about threesomes in front of the kids and how she didn't want her kids hearing that. So obviously she doesn't want people, she didn't want people watching these episodes. And we saw that when she sat down with Renna at the end of the episode and was like, and Rina called her out for issuing cease and desist
Starting point is 00:50:37 and wanting Bravo to cut those episodes. And we saw her say it in Rome. She was like, I don't want them using any of this. Like, they're going to use it. They are 100% going to use it. Yeah, I feel like Denise is like a mess at this point in time, which makes me sad to say, you know, you don't want to root for that.
Starting point is 00:51:02 But watching the show, she just doesn't look all put together. There seems to be a... There's something off. There's something off for sure. Yeah, I'm like trying to dance around the words because I don't want to directly accuse Denise Richards of being on drugs. But one might say, maybe something's going on. And I think that there's a theme of lying going on with Denise very clearly.
Starting point is 00:51:29 She said that she had a family emergency. and I feel like a family emergency is not something you use as an excuse when you want to get out of something. Maybe you say, I'm sick if you want to get out of something. But saying you have a family emergency is a scary thing to say. It makes people worry about you. And when that's not true and you say you have a family emergency next time and you actually do, when is anybody going to believe you? Because you lied about that.
Starting point is 00:51:53 And I will also say Denise Richards was with Charlie Sheen, who we all know was a complete mess, a disaster, hooked on drugs. Girls, left and right, the partying. And I feel like him and Denise probably had some adventures. I feel like they definitely dabbled in drugs. They definitely dabbled in threesomes. I feel like they got wild. And now I feel like Denise is trying to bury all of that and, you know, try to make it seem like that she hasn't done any of those things. And that's just not what she's about. She doesn't want her kids hearing it. Because I feel like she has gone through so much that she hasn't processed yet. Yeah, yeah. And there just, there just has definitely been so many lies and also lies for her to get out of filming things. You know, she had said she was sick, so she couldn't go to Teddy's baby shower. And I just think with production, too,
Starting point is 00:52:46 she had to come up with different excuses and why she couldn't show up places. Oh, family emergency. And in the finale, you saw her say to Garcel, like that she just didn't show up when Garcel was supposed to pick her up to go to Dorrit's party because she knew that Brandy was going to be there and also because she had told production family emergency
Starting point is 00:53:10 and she didn't want Garcel to have to lie for her. So very clearly that means there was no family emergency. She lied about it. One of the best scenes, though we've seen in a long time on this show, was Lisa and Denise together. And Renna's been getting a lot of shit this season. in. I was reading some tweets or, you know, calling her bad friend and she's fucking over Denise and all these things. And I just don't feel that way about it because I just, I see
Starting point is 00:53:43 I see Renna struggle with it. She's had such a long friendship with Denise, but she clearly believes that Denise is lying. I feel like it's very similar to the LVP Kyle Richards situation with with puppy gate like kyle loves her and wanted to be there for her as a friend but she couldn't say that she thought lisa was telling the truth like she she knew there were some lies there and i feel like rina is now in that same situation she's like denise you are lying exactly and you could tell with garcel that garcel's a great friend because through this entire time she's like i don't want to betray denise denise denise is my good friend my loyalty is to denise to denise whatever Denise says, I believe, she's my friend. And then Denise goes and fucks her over and leaves her
Starting point is 00:54:32 hanging when they're going to Doreet's party. And she doesn't, she doesn't call her. She doesn't let her know that she's not coming. And that's just a bad friend, in my opinion. Now she's so scared and running away and lying so much that now she's becoming a bad friend to people, Denise. And I think that the situation is confusing for some people when it comes to friendship. And in terms of when do you believe a friend and when do you call them out for lying is the difference between Garcell and Lisa Rinna at this point because Lisa Rinna identifies Denise Richards as her friend and says she's a good friend but like you said does not believe her and Garcel is blindly believing Denise because she's her friend which I've risk you know I understand when somebody's a
Starting point is 00:55:20 friend and you don't want to go against them and you want to have their back but when they're when you feel in your heart that they're so blatantly lying like Lisa Rina feels, how are you going to sit there and be fake? To me, that's more of a real friend when you can straight up say to your friend, I think you're lying. Like, you're my friend and I love you and I'm going to be here for you, but you're lying. You're definitely lying about something. Just tell me. And I just feel like Denise doesn't trust any of these girls. Otherwise, she would maybe tell them, you know? I'm, I, I, feel bad for her in a way because I don't think she's a bad person. I don't think that she's lying because she's an evil person. I think that she's embarrassed in some way and she doesn't want people
Starting point is 00:56:06 to know this when I don't think there's anything to be embarrassed about. I feel like if she was open about what happened with her and Brandy, if it did happen, if they did have sex, if they did have some sort of relationship, if she said it, I don't think the girls necessarily would have judged her. I think they would have been like, yeah, Denise, do your thing. That's what you want to do. Good for you. And it would have been maybe a one to two episode thing. And then they would have moved on from it. But because they're so adamant that she is lying, it turned into the rest of the season because nobody believes her, especially when Brandy has all these texts that, you know, kind of sway, sway the conversation to go towards believing Brandy. Definitely. Definitely. And Denise and Aaron's
Starting point is 00:56:51 marriage in that situation feels complicated. Aaron had some very weird moments this season. He made a lot of people uncomfortable. He made the girls uncomfortable. Watching him made me uncomfortable. That guy irks me. Like there's something, like you think something's off with Denise?
Starting point is 00:57:14 Like it's them as a couple. I don't know what's going on. But they, so who knows? Maybe she, maybe that was. mostly from a place of fear with Aaron or what that would mean for their relationship. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:30 There's so many questions. I feel like a lot of them are going to be unanswered because we did see Renna post after they filmed the reunion that a lot of things weren't said that they wanted to hear from Brandy, but Brandy wasn't there. And in that scene, we saw Renna call her out for the cease and desist and Denise, like,
Starting point is 00:57:50 who told you that? You could see it in her eyes. Like her whole, like her whole vibe changed. Like, she was trying to have that conversation and then you could see that she realized she got up. Like that Rina knew what was going on. And Ria and I burst out laughing. Like, we, I almost wanted to rewind it and watch it a billion times when Rina just looked at her and was like, you're so angry. It's one of the best lines I've seen on that show by far. You're so angry. Rina just makes good TV.
Starting point is 00:58:28 She makes good reality TV. And I don't know why people hate on her. Like I really don't mind Lisa Rina. I feel like she's quite entertaining. I feel like she brings life to the show. So, you know, I don't have an issue with her. Yeah, like, everybody has their role. Somebody's got to spice it up.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Somebody's got to stir the pot on a and say shit and, you know, have no filter because if there isn't that person, the show just gets boring. So, you know, they need Arina. And she was there to deliver that line. It was fantastic. And A plus line. Seriously, one of the best lines I've heard in a reality TV show because of the circumstance and the way it was delivered. It was so good. But yeah, I feel like Denise has created a mess for herself with this show, with her friendships, her relationships, her relationships, her relationship. I just feel like it is all a mess at this point. And I just feel like if she was honest,
Starting point is 00:59:25 it would have just gone by. Maybe she would have had some troubles with Aaron. Maybe that would be it. Right. But, you know, the inevitable is got to happen. Maybe she didn't. I bet you she didn't think Brandy was like going to double down too, you know, and really, really go in.
Starting point is 00:59:43 The thing is, though, if I had sex with somebody and they were denying it. Yeah. constantly, I would too double down and be like, no, we really did. Even though Brandy is a liar and also exaggerates things and she can't really be trusted at times. In this instance, I just feel like she's the one telling the truth. Even if some things may be exaggerated, I think that her base of her story is the one that is truthful. Yeah, yeah. And you can't deny that Brandy loves the attention, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But like Kyle had said, you know, they're, wasn't too much for Brandy to gain in this situation, obviously, besides media attention.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Coming back to the show next season. Yeah, yeah. And things, yes, exactly. But, you know, she's gone through libel lawsuits and things of that nature where, like Kyle had said on the show, she would have been surprised if Brandy was putting herself in that situation once again. But I don't know, we've had a long time to think about it. Obviously, throughout the entire season, we knew this was coming before the season even started. We do think something happened. Do you think we're with Brandy on this one. At least once.
Starting point is 01:01:05 At least once. Yeah, there was something. Even if it's even, like we said, bottom line, Denise's line. I feel like during this time, especially, everybody's looking for a new hobby, something to keep their brain and mind occupied and working at all times. Maybe you've been thinking about relearning that language that you took in high school or college. For me, I took Spanish from fifth grade up until 12th grade. And do I think I can perfectly speak Spanish? No, I don't. I don't think I can at all. And that is why Babel has caught my interest. Babel can help you pick it back up
Starting point is 01:02:16 fast and like I said, I've been thinking about brushing up on my Spanish because I've taken it for years, but I don't think I'm perfect at it, not even close, not even a little bit. I can barely speak it and I feel like now's the time to brush up on it. There's no better time than now. Babel is proven to get you speaking a language within weeks. They design courses with real world conversation in mind, letting you learn everyday practical conversations that you will actually use. I never know what I'm in for, though. But that excites me. You know what? It excites us too because sometimes we don't know either. We just, you know, and, you know, there's not, there's actually not a lot of people we've had on three times.
Starting point is 01:04:32 We love having you on. We always have so much, so much fun talking to you. Right now, you're talking to people about your MTV show, but we do want to say quickly before we do that, you just also announced some really great news because you're now going to be an extra correspondent, which is so exciting. And we know you were, you had posted about, you know, being unsure about celebrating that. We celebrate with that with you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Congratulations. It's crazy. Like, I want to be excited, but it's hard. Like, you're like, am I selfish? Is that wrong? And it was, it was Chris Harrison who was like, I honor you for what you're doing. Like that shows a lot of integrity. But he was like, this is a huge accomplishment.
Starting point is 01:05:16 You need to be proud of yourself. And I'm like, I know. And I'm like, when Chris Harrison says it, maybe I should, you know, go ahead and just relish in it for a second. Yeah. And that's unbelievable because I watched your story. And you were talking about it. And I understood what you were saying. And you were like, but I had a friend reach out to me and say, you know, it is okay to celebrate.
Starting point is 01:05:34 So to hear that bad friend was Chris Harrison. It comes full circle. You know, we love to hear that. So. Thanks, guys. How are you, because you said that you wanted to celebrate a little bit today, you're going to do that. How has the day been? How are you doing? Right now, you guys, I'm coming on fumes. I'm going off fumes. I'm coming from the West Coast.
Starting point is 01:05:55 I took a red eye. I've been doing a media day all day. I'm exhausted. But, but tomorrow I'm going to Aruba. So Brian and I were not together for our anniversary. We both just got COVID tested, very romantic. They won't let you into the country unless you have a COVID test under a certain amount of days. And so we're going, we're going to celebrate our one year, we're going to get away, very excited, before things get crazy with everything starting. That's amazing. So number one, happy anniversary. That's one year. You guys, you shared some pictures.
Starting point is 01:06:31 You guys are so great. So I'm happy that you guys are able to get away, celebrate a little bit, celebrate that, celebrate the anniversary. And also, I mean, you guys, another show, you're doing season two of MTV's ghosted premiere September 2nd. You are nonstop, girl. Like, there's always something. Yeah. And I'm very fortunate that there's always something.
Starting point is 01:06:55 I mean, I have a hard time saying no to certain things, but I've also been fortunate that the things that have come my way I'm passionate about. Like, we've all been ghosted. It sucks. There's just no other way to put it. But it's continuing to happen. And with the pandemic going on, it's even worse because you get fixated on it. And you know that the person who goes at you isn't doing anything, right?
Starting point is 01:07:18 They're just ignoring you. And so it's even harder. And we navigate that as we do some of these stories because it affects people's mental health even more. And the reason that these people ghosts are insane. You guys, if you thought the first season was great, the second season, wow. I was going to say like the first season took me by surprise because I remember watching episodes and being like, this is way more intense than I thought it was going to be. So I'm sure season two has plenty of shocking moments. Yeah. And it's going to be done virtually, right? Because obviously with the pandemic going on, how has that filming been? It's been challenging in the sense that I'm not good with technology. So I've had to learn to set up cameras to mic myself. myself, like to check my levels. It's very, like I wear different hats now, you know, and be on-air talent. So that, once we got past that, we were good to go. Like MTV Sharp,
Starting point is 01:08:17 Viacom, they've been so great and patient with us and figuring it all out. My biggest fear was would I be able to connect to people right as we're doing this? Because we need you to trust us. We need to be engaging. Is it even going to be entertaining? Like, do you want to sit here and watch me talk on my screen all day? I don't know. So they've done a great job of putting it all together and it didn't stop people from lying to us from hanging up on us that that's the thing too it's like people can be like right instead of like right you chase them out with cameras it's crazy um so it's still been great we've we have been we didn't miss the beat like we've been able to still connect with people and the stories are are really good like even in the season premiere the
Starting point is 01:09:02 first one it's like the story keeps changing all the way until the very end And what most people don't realize is we don't know the reason they ghosted. We have absolute, so real reactions, we're sitting on the edge of our seat. We're like, say it. Go! Like, we want to know what happened. Yeah. It's good.
Starting point is 01:09:21 Is there a story that you are most excited to see people react to? Yes. We just finished it. So what's different between season one and season two is that it's the whole. haunted who reaches out to us because they were ghosted. So that's what we call it. Haunted and the ghost. Normally, we are on the side of the haunted because, yeah, the haunted because they reach out to us. So our allegiance is to them. Yeah. And we trust them. We become invested with them. We're helping them all the way to the end. So sometimes it's their fault. Sometimes they lie to us, but we still are
Starting point is 01:09:58 like, well, you reached out to us. We don't do that season two. I'm like, I'm sorry, what? Oh, excuse me, oh, you're not who you presented yourself to be. So like, I'm very sweet and sour in this, which is me normally, but it really comes out in season two. So I think people will like that because there is a story where we completely flip on the haunted who reached out to us. You know what? I love that. And this is going to be so weird. You're going to be like, why are you relating this to that? But I recently watched the soaked in bleach, Kurt Cobain documentary. And the guy in it talks about, he's like the private investigator or whatever. Courtney Love hired him for her to be, like for her, him to be on her side.
Starting point is 01:10:41 But he ended up flipping the switch and like made this whole documentary and made it seem like Courtney Love is the reason Kirkobane died. Meanwhile, she hired him. So like flip the whole thing around, that's kind of like the bye-bye just on. I know it's a crazy thing to relate to. But we need the truth. And whoever has the truth, that's the side you're going to be on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Yeah. And that so far to me has been the most interesting one because it was just, it was insane. Unexpected. Yeah. It was very, it was very dramatic. So it played into it even more. Amazing. Well, we can't wait to talk.
Starting point is 01:11:18 I think at one point I go, Alexa, can you play Britney Spears toxic? I was like, you are a toxic friend. You are, I like went off. I was like, you are terrible. I was like, you are better off with, yeah, it was. Oh my gosh. And we know you don't hold back, which is why we love you. And I can't wait to watch that. And so it premieres Wednesday, September 2nd is the second season. And like Fran said before, you're always doing something. You're always working. I looked at your bio earlier and I had to click more info all the
Starting point is 01:11:49 shows that were listed. I was like, she really just like, where does she find the time? Do you ever get stressed out? Like where is your headspace right now with everything that's going on? How do you get yourself sane? I'm stressed out now, believe it or not. But what's saying to me is we're going on vacation tomorrow. I'm just like, all you have to do is get through this day. But I'm in the process of moving to L.A. So I'm going to be back and forth between Miami, L.A.
Starting point is 01:12:17 So that's a little stressful for me because I'm like, I'm in the middle of things right now, then to start a new job. I'm fortunate because a lot of my stuff is staggered, right? Ghost it doesn't film all year. My podcasting is twice a week. the other ones once a week. It's flexible. Like we load up on them. So it's it's staggered, which is which is why I can make it work. How do I get through it? Exercising, meditating, and Real Housewives of every city. We were just talking about Real Housewives. Ria and I literally just watched the Real Housewives
Starting point is 01:12:52 of Beverly Hills finale from this week together before we came to do this interview. I watched it too this morning. How amazing was Lisa Renna's line when she said, oh, you're so angry. Wait, who do you believe, though? Do you believe Denise or Brandy? Brandy. I think brandy. And I'm not a brandy fan.
Starting point is 01:13:16 So I watched Beverly Hills for a while, and I stopped watching kind of, I think, around the time Lisa left or it was like, she was still on, but whatever. But I just caught this finale, and I watched some episodes this. season. And I'm just like, I used to hate Randy, but I get this very strong feeling that Denise Richard is lying. Like, I can't believe her. It doesn't make any sense. And that conversation that she has with Renal on the couch, you're like, yeah. And I feel like now, Rachel, you have a good take on if people are lying or not. Like, and you, because you can kind of see, like, you saw in Denise's face when she said that and she was like, her whole face shifted and she was like, who told you that?
Starting point is 01:13:56 You knew she just got caught and you could just see it. And everything was just so fishy. Even if it was just a friendship with Brandy, she'd lied so much, so much to her. There's some crazy shit going on with that whole scenario. Can't wait for the reunion. The Real Housewives have been a phenomenal distraction for life just as a whole.
Starting point is 01:14:21 I've been binging old seasons that I haven't seen. Maybe you should do that. Oh, it's, I started New Jersey from the beginning. I've never watched New Jersey from the beginning. These ladies were cuckoo, so nuts. I couldn't believe it. So it has been very exciting because you know what? We have to fill the void because we haven't had anything from The Bachelor. That's right. That's right. But now you've got ghosted. Ghosted starting up. We're giving you new content, premium content. Exactly. Exactly. It's exactly what we need. We're super excited about it. I will watch anything that MTV puts on TV.
Starting point is 01:14:58 Like, I will watch any show just like ever since I was little. I'm like, actually the other day, me and my sister put on an episode of Next. You remember Next on MTV? Was that a dating show? Yes. Yes. One of the most... It was with the big van.
Starting point is 01:15:13 The big day would come out. They would sit on a date and then they would just go next or whatever it was. And I was like, I can't believe these shows existed, but it's proof that... Prential control was the best one. I'll watch anything on MTV. TV. Was date my mom MTV too? Remember that one? We're like the guy went on three different dates. Yes, I think so. Mom, he finally got to meet the girl. Yes, yes. I watch the TV, guys. I know, I know. They had the best ones. And we are excited because they did yesterday. They announced that Claire's season of
Starting point is 01:15:43 is going to start October 13th. There's been so much drama that we are getting little bits and pieces of. How are you feeling about it? Are you excited to see Claire, are you excited to see Tasia? I am excited to see Claire. You know, Claire is like no nonsense. Tell it like it is, which is why if the rumors are true, I'm not surprised. Because she's like, it's Palm Springs. That's what I keep saying.
Starting point is 01:16:09 I'm like, it's Palm Springs. I'm hot. I know what I want. I'm not playing this game. We're not even going to freaking Paris or Italy. Like, I'm taking my man and I'm out. That's what I would probably do too. But I think it's interesting the franchise hasn't confirmed or denied it.
Starting point is 01:16:23 They're just letting all these rumors kind of like permeate through the back through bachelor nation. And I think they love it personally. If Tasha's the Bachelorette, I'm in. I'm all in. I'm thrilled. I'm happy. It shows me that they're taking all this seriously with diversity and inclusion. I think she's bubbly.
Starting point is 01:16:44 She's like engaging. She's beautiful. I think the men are going to go crazy over her. Claire too. Like Claire's got this sultry sexy. vibe that, like, both of them. Like, those guys are kind of lucky. You know, like, if all this is true, they get to do it twice.
Starting point is 01:17:01 You know what I mean? Right, right. Like, if the guys who were sent home already got to come back to meet Tasha, like, lucky dudes. The only thing I hate is this steel shot promo that came out. I'd never seen the graduate. So I was like, why is this man's foot in the way of it? I had the same reaction.
Starting point is 01:17:18 I thought it was a joke. I thought it was a Photoshop because I saw it on Chris Harrison's page. I thought it was his foot. You don't know. I did the same thing. I retweeted it and was like, this giant men's foot seems unnecessary. Everyone was replying to me like, Fran, it's a remake of the graduate poster. I'm like, sorry, I'm unfamiliar with what the graduate movie poster looked like. Like, is that the Bachelor demo?
Starting point is 01:17:41 I don't know. I'd never seen anything like it. I don't want to see it. And someone was explaining it to me today. And they were like, oh, it's the Mrs. Robinson. I was like, oh, we're playing in her being a cougar. My name's up an animal print and tell her to roar. I don't like it. I know. I didn't like it either. It made it seem like she's looking to find some young, like, just piece of meat that she's like this older, like, she's not even that old. Right. And I also think that they, because I think Claire is absolutely stunning. Like you said, she's like so sexy, just everything about her. But the Photoshop job that they did on it, I was just like, this just doesn't really look like Claire to me. Like, you know, I just, I feel like the promo could have been better, but I also just
Starting point is 01:18:23 Well, they kind of made her look older with the outfit and, like, she looked, yeah. You know, I mean, I love a power blazer. Of course. I just, I'm just like, oh, I don't know. The promo just wasn't it, although I am obviously excited for the show because we love, we love The Bachelor. We can't deny that. But, you know, there was, there's a lot of drama going on with this, with this year.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Just, you know, a lot of the Bachelor diversity just, you know, they got that kick started. And then we have the Claire and the Tasha and what's going on with that. So I feel. like their heads are kind of spinning around as well and they don't even know what to do at this point. But I wanted to know how do you feel about the direction they're going in now? Because obviously they do have a lot of work to do in, you know, making it more diverse. But do you think that they're headed in the right direction? Yeah. I want to see them make, okay, you did Matt. I've already been vocal about the timing of it. Hated the timing. Glad to see Matt. You know, if the
Starting point is 01:19:21 Tatia stuff is true, great, glad for Tatia too. But what I also want to see are change is inside. So if I'm a person of color and I come in, I want to talk to someone who gets me because then I'm more comfortable opening up. Then I'm going to tell my stories. Then I have a better chance of going farther in the season. That wasn't really available when I was on the show. I also think that they should hire other people, not just producers, like people in the decision room, a diversity consultant that can tell you things like Matt James is biracial. That's a conversation you really haven't explored on the show because in some circles he's too black and in some circles he's not black enough. And I guarantee you he's got stories to tell about that. And in light of what's
Starting point is 01:20:02 going on, what kind of pressure does he feel? He's a black man. It seems like it's hunting season on black men. How does that make him feel? There's so many ways to tackle it that you need someone on the inside who recognizes that and understands it. I have too many jobs. I can't be the bachelor diversity consultant. I just can't. But, um, won't fit in the Instagram bio. You can. Not a character. Sorry, unavailable. But I do see them making some internal changes. And I'm close with some EPs and they're very vocal in telling me what they're trying to do. And they have a heart for it. And they recognize it's taking too long. So, You know, they know I'm watching and they know I'm going to hold them accountable.
Starting point is 01:20:47 And I want to shut up. Like, that's my goal. Shut me up. So I don't have to set anything else. Right. criticizing the next, you know, somebody on the next season. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:58 And you know what? I think like the campaign that came out, the DeBalbatchewaer Diversity campaign, they did such a great job because not only did they highlight the need for a more diverse cast, but they also included a more diverse staff. They want mental health checks. They want help for these contestants where that there, and something's going on with them, there is a doctor or a psychiatrist,
Starting point is 01:21:24 someone who is there who they can talk to, and also that are available to them after the show because depending on how they're portrayed on the show, the mental health things that they can go through, if they're, you know, the villain, if they're not, like to have someone to reach out to, they listed out so many things that I hope they listen to and follow through with because it would just,
Starting point is 01:21:44 it would just make everything, it would just make it everything better and also feel better being a fan of the show. You know, like you watch the show, you love the show, and you want them, like you want to be able to support everything that they do. Yeah, that's why I think it's so cool what they did
Starting point is 01:22:01 because those were fans saying, hey, we're not happy with what's on our TV screen and we want to see changes. I loved it. I was like, I mean, I wish I was smart enough to come up with it, but what they did, It was amazing.
Starting point is 01:22:12 Like, thank you for bringing that up because I'm going to always give them credit. Yeah, it was really, really great. And so you're going to watch the seasons. You're still supporting the show. You're still in it. Chris Harrison is still giving you advice, which we obviously love to hear. And you already talked about Matt James. We were going to ask you how you feel about that.
Starting point is 01:22:34 But you said at the time it was the bad timing, but step in the right direction. And we think Matt James is a great. guy. So I think it's going to be great. But like you said, I do hope that they show some of those things on the show because they would be kind of lying about his life if they didn't show that. Right. It'll be, it's going to be tough for him. It's tough to be the first period, but in light of what's happening, there's sure. So there's such a divide and people are very vocal right now. There's a lot of hatred going on. So I just really hope he has a strong support system and that they protect him and really, you know, like roll him out in a proper way as far as like PR and in the media
Starting point is 01:23:19 that he has to do because it's going to be a lot. And everyone's going to want to hear his voice. And so it sucks because it's almost like he's talking about love, but it's going to be politicized in a sense because everything is at this point. Yeah, yeah. It definitely, well, yeah, because he could, it could potentially be like damned if you do, damned if you don't situation for him. Just like if what he does say, people will say he didn't say enough. If some people they said he said too much. So I hope that, you know, it goes well for him. He has a positive experience.
Starting point is 01:23:51 Your shows, your podcasts are fantastic. Higher learning that you do with Van is so great. And if you don't listen to Higher Learning, you should because I love listening to it. I feel like I am learning things. It's a different perspective for me. I would say it's the best place to get educated on these matters because obviously we don't know everything, but we want to learn and we want to understand what you're going through. So it's like, I think everyone should listen to it. And you put out an episode recently that you were very passionate
Starting point is 01:24:20 about, right? Yeah. I, it was when I woke up that morning and I was like, oh, gosh, I just feel like it's just going to be one of those, those episodes. And Van was bringing that same energy. And we hadn't even talked about it. I didn't write any notes, nothing. We just got on and we talked. We changed our entire show. We were supposed to have some guests on. And then, in response to what was happening in the sports world. And then obviously what's happening in Wisconsin. And I lived there for three years. So I'm very familiar with the area.
Starting point is 01:24:52 We just felt like we needed to just speak. And the podcast has been very therapeutic in the sense that I have a platform where I can just talk about what I'm feeling and Van can too. And Van is so insanely smart. Like I have to, I forget we're on video sometimes. I'm like listening like this. Totally locked in. I learn from him every single time.
Starting point is 01:25:15 It's intimidating. But we had this idea for this podcast prior to everything that was happening in the country, even before the pandemic. And it's been nice that we've been able to shift things and kind of be the pulse of what's happening. And people are coming to us as a trusted source to really deep dive and talk about some of these issues and give you a little history, but also entertain you at the same time. But they're not afraid to be emotional and raw like I was on the last.
Starting point is 01:25:41 episode where I wasn't going to cry until Van said, Rachel, don't cry. And, you know, that's the worst thing you can say to someone always. Thank you for asking me to cry. Yeah. You just made me cry. Yeah. Yeah. It's great because, you know, we, so many people have that, have conversations like this behind the scenes, right? Like, Rhea and I have those conversations, but it's, it's, and we want people to listen. So it's so great for us to be like, go listen to Rachel Lindsay's podcast because you don't need to come to us. You should like go listen to Rachel, listen to Higher Learning. It's a great show.
Starting point is 01:26:16 We both really love it. And not only are you doing that, you still have your, you know, your Bachelor show that you do. You kind of got in the middle of what was a very sticky situation because who, and who expects, you never see something like that coming with Becca and Garrett and how, where are you now with our. Then you feel the fire when you're like. Yeah. Yeah, we know what you said. You don't have to say it again. I know as soon as it was over with that, I told bride, he goes, were you drunk?
Starting point is 01:26:47 And I go, it was middle of the day. No. Yeah. It was middle of the day. Rachel, you know what's funny? We do a Snapchat show every day and we can't curse on the Snapchat show. So when this happened, we were like, oh, okay, we're going to say it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:01 We're going to curse and we love it. You know, on this podcast, we're like we had no choice. We say whatever stuff we want. Right, right. I know. I'm allowed to. on the Snapchat show or not, but we were excited because we were like, it's a quote. You're welcome, guys.
Starting point is 01:27:16 I'll try to do it again for you. I think in that moment, I was on to talk about Bravo. And it was funny because Danny was like, well, Lauren Zima sent me bachelor questions. And I go, oh, Lauren, so messy. I was like, Lauren, I know you're listening. You know exactly what you're doing. And I think I was just like so fed up. I hadn't really talked about it past an intense podcast that we had.
Starting point is 01:27:40 And so I was just like, I don't feel like doing this long, educated answer. Let me just break it down to you. Three words. Yep. Maybe more than that. But, you know. Yeah, yeah. So I actually should have called Becca before I said that, but I also didn't know I was going to say that.
Starting point is 01:27:56 So Becca and I definitely had a conversation after and I explained myself. And I apologize because what I did hate is that I brought more attention to Becca. You know, like my words were directed towards him. And I didn't want to, like, I didn't know. cause any problem with their relationship, like me saying that, but I felt as a friend, I should have, like, immediately called her. We did talk, but I should have just been like, I'm so sorry I said this. And it just brought, like, a lot of social media attention to her. And I hate that. Bring it on me, but don't put it on Becca. That's the one thing that I'm very
Starting point is 01:28:29 regretful for. I met what I said. I still mean it. But for Becca, because I adore Becca. So our podcast relationship is fine. You know, we really do have a friendship. And that's why, I was able to call her, apologize for bringing her that attention, talking it out. And yeah, you know, just being there with Becca through everything. Yeah, yeah. That's really all you can do because you obviously, you're not going to, you can't not say how you feel about it. And that was, that was, we're like the ultimate fan girls.
Starting point is 01:29:02 I'm like, that was another episode I listened to that I thought was really great. You know, that all went down because it was. a conversation that had to happen with you guys, and it was great to listen to, because those are real conversations. You have those conversations with your friends in real life who either, you know, have a significant other that has different views than you do, and that, like, you have those conversations. So hearing it on a podcast with a massive platform was really great. And I'm happy to hear, like, that you and Becca are good, because you guys, guys are so great together and the show like do you guys bring a good energy to that show right and you don't
Starting point is 01:29:45 need a guy breaking up a friendship i mean like we see that all that's just we don't need that to happen yeah she's yeah she's i think at the end of the day it's just important that you know i'm always about having open an honest conversation like even if i you know went about it the wrong way like i can own up to it a lot of people don't think i'll own up stuff i absolutely will and then i'll do something else it can and then I'll, you know what I mean? Yeah. You speak your mind and that's why I said we love you because of that reason. And sometimes you speak your mind and you say something, you go a little too far and you're
Starting point is 01:30:20 like, oops, all right. I mean. Which is just better than being boring all the time and not like. Not saying anything. And we'd be like, boo, Rachel Litz says nothing. Oh, man. Well, Rachel, we have kept you a little bit longer than we were allowed, but you know, we had to.
Starting point is 01:30:37 That's okay. So guys, everyone obviously ghosted season two. Super exciting. September 2nd, premiere season two, go watch that on MTV. And all of Rachel's 500 other shows. Yes. That goes out as well. Thank you, guys. Higher learning podcasts. Go listen to that. Very important. Very educational. Watch your happy hour. We're going to be here for 20 more minutes. Thank you so much for joining us, Rachel.
