Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. This is... All right. Let's get together, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the show. My name is Maria. This is Francesca.
Starting point is 00:00:30 She's going to be taken over. Francesca, give them what you do best. Do we want to keep that? Yeah, I don't know. We're just, we're feeling some type of way today. All right. Well, I'll just do it just for the sake of a normal routine. What's up, everyone?
Starting point is 00:00:49 It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy. Of course, as you can tell. On a Thursday. Tell. On a Thursday. On a Thursday. We're not drunk, although I wish I was. Oh, that reminds me I have to talk about something.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Really? Yeah. What is it? I can ask you this right now. Tell me. The Barso, Brasel. breakfast crew drinks on Fridays. Yes, we do.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And we have a weird radio schedule this week because of the Super Bowl. And we're on 11 to 12. And they are drinking from like 7 to 11. Yes. And they asked if we just want to like join in for the last hour. And then they just drink from 7 to 12. And we drink with them from 11 to 12 on the radio. Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:31 I actually would love to do that. I said I felt like you would approve that because that was what you were trying to, you were trying to, I was trying to get everybody on board on Friday. So I would absolutely love. I love that idea that has me ecstatic for Friday. And I would also appreciate you for you to lock in right now, Francesca. Get ready. You're about to lock something in right now.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Noah, not you, but Fran, you have to commit to drinking with me from 11 to the entire night. 11 to TBT. Yes, to Saturday morning. I already said I would go out Friday night I don't want no low period coming in on Thursday There might be a little period Maybe a little nap at around like Yeah
Starting point is 00:02:20 Can we go to like a nice dinner Me and you? You want to go to like catch or something fancy? Oh yeah let's go with some friends Yeah Like let's hit up some our gals Yeah let's hit up some gals Do we have girls?
Starting point is 00:02:34 No Kelly Kinks I have I can have maybe my friends I just don't have people in the city I know. That's the issue. You have friends in the city. This is wild. I feel like I'm listening to a text conversation.
Starting point is 00:02:45 No, this is really how it goes. But Kelly Keeks already committed to my non-blackout blackout party on Friday. And, you know, don't get confused. That doesn't mean we're not blacking out. We still will. This is because the Super Bowl, the Barcelona Super Bowl party is Friday night, which we will not be at because it is in Miami. So we're having a party of our own. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And my boyfriend will be there. So that's fun. And I'll be here. And my boyfriend is going to be there. I'm going to be here. Tringing with Fran. So that's fun. Wait, so I told Hank that we were obviously going to go out Friday night.
Starting point is 00:03:23 And this was before he left. And he was like, oh, sick, cool. And I was like, I'm not trying to act cool. I'm about to look so good on Friday night. I'm just trying to be. Whoa, Fran. He just jumped in with that out of nowhere. I wasn't even done speaking.
Starting point is 00:03:38 She goes, I'm about to look. look so good Friday night. Me too, you know what? Let's channel that energy together. We're going to look so good Friday night. But I was like, yeah, I'm definitely going to go out. Not trying to like rub it in his face to be like, oh, I'm going out because I'm dating for three years now.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Like I'm not trying to like, there's no games to be played here. Yeah, no, no. There's nothing like that. I was just like letting him know, like, instead of wanting to jump off a bridge on my couch, I will probably go out instead. Yes. Because we're, the phoma will be real. So if we're drunk, it'll be way better.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Yeah, I won't care. And then there's plenty of people here we'll hang out with. It's going to be a fun Friday. So that's what I want you to lock in for at 11 a.m. And then I'm thinking we go to the bar during the day. We get a few shots across the street like we did that one time. I remember. Funny story, one time I made Fran, Daniela, and Casey go to the bar across the street with me.
Starting point is 00:04:31 And we took shots at like noon on a Friday in the summer. It was fantastic. And also, because we don't. have radio three to four it's 11 to 12 our day is kind of over after that so well no we have we have to record the podcast oh true true we have a podcast no but but but
Starting point is 00:04:47 we can record that not at 4 o'clock let's record it drunk I mean we might be drunk after drinking for an hour with the breakfast squad large is making his jungle juice large is making jungle juice yum uncle large
Starting point is 00:05:05 we're probably going to be drunk Okay, so the next podcast will be fun. Noah, are you excited? Noah, get some drinks on. Noah will be able to have some jungle juice. Noah, speak into the mic. What do you want me to say? Have you to commit?
Starting point is 00:05:17 Oh, like in college. Yeah. I asked large for the ingredients. It is literally what, it's college jungle juice. Everclear and some fruit juice. We want you to commit to at least having two. And some New Amsterdam. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Pink Whitney. Yes. And some chorus lights as well, not mix into the jungle juice. but we're going to drink them. Yep. I want you to commit. I feel like I'm really peer pressuring you guys. I want you to commit to it.
Starting point is 00:05:45 I've been locked in for this plan for weeks. But what I was about to say to Noah is like, I need you to commit to having at least two drinks. Two drinks is fine. I don't want to force you, but I need you to be loosey-goor- I'm fine operating on two drinks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I just want Noah to not be annoyed with us. Right, exactly. The only way for that to happen is if he is a little drunk on his own. Yes, exactly. Checks out. Now, let's stop talking about getting drunk. Let's talk about some. Wait, can I ask a question first?
Starting point is 00:06:10 Because we were doing this before. Now, what I did this voice, where I spoke with my mouth close. And my friends and I used to do this when we were younger. And it was like a joke. It was like, you would close your mouth and you'd say like, help, help, like, let me out. I'm stuck. And it sounded like you were stuck somewhere. And I really thought it was a thing that other kids did.
Starting point is 00:06:32 But now I've done it to my boyfriend. I've done it to you. No one of you guys have ever. Like you're, everyone has been petrified every time I've done it. And it was, it's truly shocking to me. Truly shocking. I was terrified. You're terrified?
Starting point is 00:06:48 Stop, stop. It's so freaky to look at. That was amazing, honestly. But looking at you, I have to turn away. It's better if you look away. Yeah. Maybe it should be a ventralcist. No, let's turn away.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Do that again, Frank. Hey, pain, I'm stuck. I'm stuck it out. I must save her. that's how I feel then but when I'm looking at you I want to pop your cheeks It's very clear that I am
Starting point is 00:07:14 That there is sound coming out of my mouth Yeah that is that was not a normal thing But let me know if that was something you did now Or as a kid just let me know because I thought I thought people did that But everyone I've talked to about it so far Nope Let her know so that she doesn't feel out of place
Starting point is 00:07:31 We have huge news for next week Huge news So by the way next week is a is a crazy schedule for The Bachelor. Guys, pray for us, and I pray for all of you. The Bachelor is on from 8 to 11 on Monday and 8 to 10 on Wednesday. Now, that is kind of too much of the Bachelor in one week. Not even kind of.
Starting point is 00:07:51 That is ridiculously too much. Five hours. We're going to have to be live tweeting. We're going to have to be watching it. But we will. We're not going to slack. And we also have a huge major guest. I had to throw that in there.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Should have said it with your mouth. closed. That was so bad. It sounded like you were going to throw up. People want to know the guest. The guest is Peter Weber. Yeah. A.k.a. Pilot Pete, aka Pete, A.k. Pete, A.k. Pete, A.k. Pete, A.k.a. B.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Yeah. Pal. Our pal Pete. We're very excited. We got obviously a ton of questions from him. I'm very curious as to why he's doing press, like, kind of in the middle of the season. But it obviously piques my interest. It makes me think that Monday's episode is going to be like insane because then we're interviewing him on Tuesday and then there'll be more on Wednesday. So a week from today might be like a four hour bachelor podcast. I'm not quite sure how it's going to go between our recap of we're going to have to recap five hours worth of the bachelor, which we're prepared to do. Absolutely prepared to do. And on top of that, talk to Pete on Tuesday. It's all going to be worth it though. I can't wait to meet this man Pete. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:07 I'm really excited. I can't wait. I am so excited. This was just like the pick. I feel like he really is going to be our pal. Yeah. I got along so well with Dylan and Tyler and I feel like he's kind of in that squad. Yeah, I'm going to, I said I was going to text them and be like, hey, guys, can you let Pete know that we're interviewing him on Tuesday so he's prepared to know who he's meeting?
Starting point is 00:09:27 But then I'm wondering if Pete just knows us anyway. I'm not sure. I'm going to text them anyway. I would think maybe, but we could text them and maybe they have some funny questions for us to ask Pete. Yes, let's ask them questions to ask P and act like they're not from Dylan and Tyler and see how we react. We have a fan question from Dylan B. All right, next up, we have one from Tyler C. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Yeah, we have to do that. Done. Yeah, done. All right, so let's get into today's episode because, of course, we have the Bachelor recap. Also, huge Justin Bieber News. Yes. And our first interview of 2020 with Lauren Elena, who is. an absolute sweetheart. She was so much fun. What a doll. Yes. So make sure you listen to that.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And let's get into it starting off with the huge Justin Bieber news. Oh, you don't compare. Don't fit in. Where do you get me? Judging by the way you open up, you get me. This world hands on, baby, now you send me. Looking at the way we're blending and you get me. Before we get into Justin Bieber's big announcement about his album, I have to tell you guys about Rory. Justin Bieber released finally the documentary seasons on YouTube. And he also announced his album will be coming out February 14th on Valentine's Day. How did we not call this date, Fran? We have been... I feel like...
Starting point is 00:12:30 I feel like we thought about it. We threw it out there once. I think we did. I would be shocked if we didn't. I think we did. I feel like that's such a thing for Justin Bieber to do. I do remember having the conversation about when this would be, and we had thought would it be close to Selena Gomez's album coming out, would it be February, would it be March because that's his birthday.
Starting point is 00:12:49 But then I feel like we did look at Fridays in February and it was like, oh, Valentine's Day is Friday, you know? Yeah. Because normally new albums drop on Friday's new music drops Friday. So I think that we did at some point consider. this date. It does make sense. The February 14th, he said it
Starting point is 00:13:10 on Ellen. He went on Ellen and talked about the new music and being married and saying yummy to Ellen for her birthday. Yeah, it was beautiful. He was wearing a part of my take jumpsuit without the part of my take logo. Yeah, he sure was. It's the exact
Starting point is 00:13:27 jumpsuit, the exact brand. It's crazy. It's bizarre. It's style apparently. Yeah, yeah. I mean, Justin Bieber just knew just very much new. It was still jumps through January. Of course. Yeah. So he went on Ellen. They talked about obviously marrying Haley.
Starting point is 00:13:43 He said that he really had to ask himself if he can commit and stay faithful. And he said, you know what? I'm just going to choose to do that. Like I will choose Haley always, which I think is really sweet. And talked about his new album. Of course, like we said, February 14th, he released a new song called Get Me with Kalani. Yeah. Who's going on tour with him as well as Jaden Smith. which I think is awesome.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Hell yeah. Again. Like a throwback to. Jane and Smith's tours with him before. Yeah. It was good times. Right. So I had Jane and Smith sing right to my face.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Yeah. I felt like it had happened in that moment. That was like 14. Yeah. And you were probably like, oh my God, he wants to date me. No, it was. I was like, oh, boy, he's a child. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I thought this was when you were probably like 14 now. Jane Smith. Sorry, that's way too long ago. No. That'd be way too long ago. But yeah, I'm very excited. Finally, we have a date. There's 17 songs on the album, I think.
Starting point is 00:14:41 And I'm just really excited to hear all the different songs because obviously some are going to be ones that we don't like. And then some are going to be apparently. I mean, not apparently, but obviously are going to be amazing. Like, we're not going to like every song. I haven't loved the first two yummy and get me. I kind of like it, but it's not really like a jam to me yet. Right. And the only thing that I'm kind of worried about is how much he has talked about how this is like an R&B album, which makes me think there might not be a lot of quote unquote, you know, jams.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Like it feels like it's all kind of like chill hangout music. I mean, we have gotten a lot of different clips of stuff within the documentary and there's a lot of different sounds. So we'll see what happens. But it's not, I don't know if we're going to be getting like songs that sound like. like sorry, you know. So we'll see. I don't want to, I want to, I guess, kind of play devil's advocate a little bit because you know I love Justin and I love Justin Haley. But I've, sometimes I feel like the way he talks about getting married is like kind of weird. What do you mean? Because like the way he was talking about it with Ellen and on the documentary
Starting point is 00:15:54 where it's like, I've always, he's like, I've always wanted to be a young husband. I've always wanted to started family young and I just decided that like I was going to do it and that this was like the decision I was going to make in my life. I think he was like it didn't it didn't really make it it's yeah like the way he said it like he was like I decided like I'm to choose this woman like he didn't mean it that way but like the way it just came out I was like oh so it just almost sounded like hey I'm with Haley right now I've always wanted to be a a husband I'm just going to do it I'm going to pick her. To me, I took it as, sorry, to me, I took it as something totally different.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Like, I think that when you get married, obviously, it's a big commitment. And, like, a lot of people talk about how you wake up and you, obviously, people fight temptation. And it's like, I choose this person. You know what I mean? Like, not like, well, I'm just going to pick her. It's more of, like, a conscious decision really to, like, respect his wife rather than, like, being like, oh, I choose you. I think that's how he meant it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Or at least that's how I interpreted it. Like, you want to play it? You ended up marrying that girl. Like, you met this girl at that age, and then you ended up marrying her. Right. Did you know that? I had no idea that I was going to marry her at that time. No.
Starting point is 00:17:14 But I'm glad it worked out because she's an amazing, amazing, amazing person. Yeah. She seems like it. She really is. She's super precious. Yeah. I enjoy spending my life with her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:24 And it's cute because you'll talk about how you still get nervous when you're around her. She gets nervous. and that's adorable. Yeah. That's going to go away. Right. You know. But now when you proposed to her, were you really super nervous?
Starting point is 00:17:42 Did you know what you were going to say? Was it like a romantic gesture? Yeah, I was extremely nervous. I felt like in the past we had talked about, you know, me asking the question. And I felt like she would say yes. So I wasn't really nervous about saying yes. but I think I was more nervous about, am I going to make this commitment?
Starting point is 00:18:03 Am I able to make this commitment as a man and be able to honor, you know, what I say, you know, because that's a serious commitment when you say you're going to love someone for better or worse and, like, be faithful, that's a huge, am I able to do that? And so I think that was really what I was battling with. And I finally was like, you know what,
Starting point is 00:18:19 I'm going to make the decision and follow through with it and be a husband. And, you know, this is what I've always wanted. I'm going to just choose this one. and just do it. And commit to it. And you did. Yeah, I just think he worded it a little weird.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Right, but I think it's hard to like, you know, kind of interpret that in the right way. Because when you're using the word choose, it's like you're like, I choose you. But it's more of like, I think in broad terms, like I'm waking up and I'm choosing this person, which I don't think is like a, I can't even explain what I'm trying to say. But like it's not like a demanding thing. Like, I choose you. It's more of like, this is a choice I made, and I'm going to stick to this decision every single day. Yes. And that I think that's very clear.
Starting point is 00:19:06 That is definitely what he was saying. I just, I meant it more as it felt like it had less to do with Haley and more about him just deciding that he was going to live this life and marry her and go forward as her husband and be faithful and everything, which is so fair. I mean, this is what he wants. they're very very supportive of each other we watched the first four um episodes if you even want to call it that of seasons and it's it's very clear and i'm not like i'm not doubting them as a couple at all i'm just saying the way he worded it was a little strange but they clearly are very happy where they are right now and the the episode about justin haley was really really super and it was um but i think a lot of people were pretty disappointed about the uh length of these
Starting point is 00:20:04 quote unquote episodes yeah i was expecting 30 minute episodes um i don't know why i would be expecting that i just did i think everybody did because he said called it a docu series i thought that we were going to see a lot from like 2015 and after that they haven't really got into that as much you know we're seeing a lot about him making this album which is great and i love to see that but i thought that we were going to get like a little bit more background of of what happened maybe there is still to come there was only four episodes that are out yeah it was only like today it was only 10 minutes each yeah exactly there was like 40 minutes worth of worth of stuff so I'm sure there is another 40 minutes to be seen that will probably see like yeah talk about a lot more stuff I was just a little
Starting point is 00:20:47 I mean I just wanted to I guess maybe see more right because we had these expectations that it was going to be longer. And now these multiple 11-minute videos, I'm like, I kind of just wish you released like another movie documentary. Why wouldn't he just put out, like how Demi Lovato put out just that one long thing on YouTube, simply complicated?
Starting point is 00:21:10 Why not just do something like that? I don't know. I'm guessing. I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out too because we signed up for YouTube premium, right? Like you can watch the first four episodes or you can watch episodes earlier if you're on YouTube premium,
Starting point is 00:21:24 which is like 1199 a month or something. But you get the first month free. So I'm sure there's a billion girls out there who did the same thing we did that signed up for it for the month trial and then we'll wait to see what happens, like how long, I don't know the length, how many episodes we're getting. So maybe if it goes past that first month
Starting point is 00:21:50 where everyone has the free trial and that's why they did it so that could make everybody have to sign up for YouTube premium for longer than one month. Or because if it's three weeks of this or two weeks or three weeks of this and everybody just gets YouTube premium for free anyway and then cancels it, I don't really get the point of it either on why you wouldn't just release it as a full-blown movie with ads in it. Yeah, there's some sort of deal that we clearly don't know about behind the scenes as to why they did this. It doesn't make sense, but I'm enjoying it. I'll just watch it like it is.
Starting point is 00:22:23 I'll just watch them in a row. I haven't, and it's just nice to see because Justin in the past had so many of these kinds of things. Obviously, we never say never and things like that where we saw kind of the inside look into his life. And we haven't seen that in so long from him that it's nice to see it again. He really is such like a lovable goofball and also a reminder of how insanely talented he is, you know. That's why I love watching it, really just because of how talented he is. I get chills. Like how can a human being possess that much talent?
Starting point is 00:23:01 Again, they play the videos of him when he's a baby. We saw I Never Say Never. Him playing the guitar, the drums at like three years old and sounds incredible. It's insane. And clearly he went through a lot. And the way they describe it in the documentary when they talk about, he talked about this on L and 2. Like his dopamine levels are not normal because at 15 years old, he was used to going
Starting point is 00:23:22 into a crowd of thousands and thousands of people screaming his name, which I'm sure is a feeling like no other, like a drug. It's a deafening sound. Yes. For sure. Defeaning, one might say. And it probably
Starting point is 00:23:38 is just like a drug, honestly. And then he probably searched for that high all the time because where else do you get a feeling like that? Thousands of people screaming, singing your songs. And then they said that nothing really lives up to that, like daily for him.
Starting point is 00:23:57 He can't reach that dopamine level that he once had because he's just living like a date. There's a normal life now. And I think a lot of people... Not normal, but trying to be normal. I think a lot of people go to concerts and shows where obviously the volume, it's insane. People are screaming. People are yelling. But there is something that is entirely different.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Obviously, I've been to a far too many between the Jones Brothers and Justin Bieber of these like stadium tours or even just you know at msg where all of these girls screaming bloody murder is a sound like you have never heard before right it is it is insane and when people hear it for the first time they're like holy shit yes and the feeling that gives him because they're screaming his name oh yeah it's not just screaming you're hearing it's all for him and i mean how can you not let that get to you as a person and i would get to your head just like it totally makes sense that the dopamine levels are not living up to thousands of young girls screaming your name. It's just crazy. It seems like he's in a better place now. Also in the documentary, you see he has the IV because of the Lyme disease. It was revealed that he had that. So I'm sure they'll talk about that as well, which is also pretty scary. You just went around not knowing.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Yeah. And he was depressed and felt sick. And just if you don't take care of Lyme disease, it could be real bad. Exactly. So I'm still. unsure of how long we have for the for the show how many weeks this is going to go on for or or whatnot but everybody I think like Ellen had seen the whole thing in whole in its entirety and I think that you know when they obviously went to the premiere of it they probably watched the whole thing start to finish
Starting point is 00:25:40 right I really hope Justin Bieber wasn't clicking through the YouTube 10 minute like yeah yeah well that'd be so funny all right next episode nine minutes here we go I really hope they just cut it all together, but watching it, I don't know how. They must have made a different version because if you just watched it straight through, cut those clips together, it'd be like there's an ending. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:02 In between each, because they do have an ending in between each one. It wouldn't be cut together. In order. I would think they probably made it in movie form or something. 100%. I really hope they did. We had some cameos in there. Kendall Jenner was in there, which was, because you forget that these people are just
Starting point is 00:26:18 like normal people hanging out. And then you see this video footage. that they let us be a part of and also weird that they've been followed around by these cameras for so long and we just like, nobody really knew it was happening. It's very true.
Starting point is 00:26:33 It was cool to see. I really love them talking about Justin performing with Ariana at Coachella and that kind of being like the moment where he knew he wanted to get back on stage. And I also really love that a lot of the same, it's a lot of the same people that are around him. You watched those early
Starting point is 00:26:53 documentaries and you saw Allison K and you saw Ryan Goodly. You saw all these people that were a part of his life. And it just is, it warms my heart that all these people are still with him, still working with him. Shout out scoots. Scooter. Yeah. The whole squad. I'm still We don't know how we feel about scooter.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I just, there's probably nobody in the maybe. That's a general statement. But I feel like out of, there's a lot of people I'm confused about that are major celebrities, he's probably one of the top ones. Like, I just don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:27 What am I supposed to feel about him? Somebody tell me, Justin wants me to love him. Taylor Swift wants me to hate him. Well, Demi Lovato also wants you to love him and Ariana Grande. So you have three big artists on Scooter Braun side. But like, Paulsie, Taylor Swift, all these, they all want me to hate him. If I was, see, the thing is, if I was going just purely based off of the people I like, because this is a total hypothetical question because I think that Scooter Braun is in the wrong
Starting point is 00:27:51 in some parts of it and I think that he's right in some parts of it. But if we are deciding based on the artist who support and go against Scooter Braun you got Halsey, Taylor Swift, and many others. Those are the two that come to mind. And then you have Justin Bieber Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande and Scooter
Starting point is 00:28:07 side. Purely based off that I'd go on Scooter side. Like if I'm picking a team. If they were standing in front of me, I'd run to them. But otherwise like you know, morally speaking, I probably would be
Starting point is 00:28:21 on Taylor's side. I just have no, like I just have no idea. It's just, it's great, like, is he really that bad of a guy? And all these people that we respect still support him.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Like, are they just unaware of that? Or do they just turn a blind eye to that? Or do they just not care? Well, is it not as bad as we think it is? It's very confusing. Not everyone's going to like you.
Starting point is 00:28:45 So the fact that some people hate Scooter Braun doesn't make me like, not like, he's like a predator. What do you mean my predator? Like that she's like preyed on him emotionally. He's preyed on her emotionally? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:59 I feel like that is how- Did you come up with that statement yourself? No. No. In her first statement about him, she made it sound like he was slowly like ruining her life and that every experience they had was a bad one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Yeah, I don't know. The way you worded that was like he's a predator. Like, I thought you were referring to like the many rumors. about whom. Yeah, you use the word predator. It was like, right? Noah, you, yeah, he's not what I, that's not what I meant. I meant, I meant emotion, an emotional predator.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Okay. Yes. Got it. Yeah, I mean, either way, obviously she has a problem with him. Like, Taylor Swift has a problem with Scooter Braun. He has treated the other ones fairly well, it seems, if they're still with him. It's, it's kind of just like, like anyone. Like, there's problems, I mean, not to use David.
Starting point is 00:29:50 as an example, but like, people hate Dave, but look at Dave. You know what I mean? There's people who have like personal hate for him. Right. And want to see him fall, but then there's also people who really love him. So I don't know. It's hard to really, we don't know really what Scooter Braun is or who he is at all. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:11 But we do know that Taylor Swift hates him and that the other ones are on his side. Yeah. I'm just trying to, I'm trying to find. Oh. So when Taylor Swift first came out about Scooter buying the Masters, she had written, I learned about Scooter Braun's purchase of my master's as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I've received at his hands for years.
Starting point is 00:30:39 That sounds like an emotional prank. Emotional prank. That doesn't sound great at all, actually. And when this came out, we did talk about it. we were, you know, we did feel bad for Taylor Swift because obviously she, she and Scooter Brown don't get along. They don't. They're always going to hate each other. There's always going to be a problem. Always going to be miscommunication. Right. And there's also, people who like say that's not the truth and his, all of his friends and his family are like, that's not true. So you really
Starting point is 00:31:10 never know who to believe in these situations because we don't know them. And there's all the and I feel like, you know, Taylor cites a lot of the problems that came from his clients you know Kanye coming after her and Justin laughing at her and all these things and in her mind
Starting point is 00:31:28 I guess she she could possibly associate that just directly with Scooter being like this all like Scooter is the puppet master and all of his clients are the ones like you know ruining my life or not ruining her life but you know making it tougher for her and therefore it is all Scooters fault
Starting point is 00:31:45 because those people fall under Scooter's umbrella so I don't know like I said I don't know we don't know if Scooter is a good guy or not we have no idea we just know that Justin Bieber loves him and that all these people love him some people hate him
Starting point is 00:32:02 and I will say he has always it has always seemed like he has had Justin Bieber's best interest at heart that is what it has that's what it has always come off as and maybe he just didn't have Taylor Swift's best interest at heart which makes her hate him
Starting point is 00:32:17 Yeah. But he did this documentary and it seems like he's not going anywhere. Obviously he'll be working with Justin forever. I don't understand Usher though. Like is he ever going to be in the picture again or was that kind of? I think Usher's kind of left any. I don't think Usher really has anything to deal with his career anymore. Yeah. I've noticed like years ago that became not a thing anymore. Yeah. I think he helped at the beginning and was like a mentor for him for him at the beginning. But just business wise or music wise, I don't think he really has anything to do with it. Yeah. I think. I don't. That's not a fact. That's just you thinking it. Yeah. Well, anyways, we will get more episodes of the seasons coming. You can watch it on YouTube premium. You don't have to wait each week, which I recommend doing because you can get it for free. Yeah, you get a month. Trial. Watch all of those. Do we get four more today? Or I hope so. I have no idea. And the album's coming February 14. So we're pumped about that. All right, let's get into our Bachelor recap with Trent, sponsored by the wonderful, the fabulous Coors Light. We are so excited to be partnered with Coors Light, especially to take us into our Bachelor Recaps. Coors Light is the perfect way to chill, relax, hang out.
Starting point is 00:34:07 You want to watch The Bachelor. It's hours long. You got to have a Coors Light. I totally agree with you, friend. We absolutely love Coors Light. We talked about it plenty of times before, but once upon a time, we, we, went to the brewery with the Jonas brothers and they love Coors Light so we love
Starting point is 00:34:23 Coors Light. We're drinking Coors Light right now getting ready for this recap because it's the only way to do it honestly. Exactly. And guys, I know it's that time of year where everybody's looking to couple up, cuffing season as they say don't worry about that.
Starting point is 00:34:39 It's outdated thinking. It's the season of self-care. Take some U-time. Nothing pairs better with a chill moment to yourself than Coors Light. Coors Light believes in turning off from all the pressures and crap of cuffing season, which is why it's the perfect beverage to have with your friends hanging out, Monday nights, watching The Bachelor.
Starting point is 00:35:01 It doesn't matter what you're doing. Cors Light is there. And when you choose to turn off, reach for the one beer that's made to chill. That's why Cors Light is the one we choose when we need a moment of chill. So this year, skip cuffing season, watch the Bachelor, whatever is. Whatever it is you want to do, you're going out, you're having fun. Or maybe there's a quiet night at home. Chill with the Koreslight instead.
Starting point is 00:35:25 And of course, guys, as always, celebrate responsibly. And have yourself a Kors Light from the Kores Brewing Company, Golden Colorado. It's nothing better. Cheers. Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:40 It was an absolute masterpiece. I don't want to over exaggerate, but that might be my favorite episode of all time. Just there's so much to it. It was exhausting. Like the episode ended and I like actually needed to take it out of it. Dude, after the first 27 minutes, I needed like a water break. I needed like, I needed the commercial break to be like 10 minutes. Like, well, it's reconvene and then we'll get back to it because there was so much.
Starting point is 00:36:05 It needed a, it needed an intermission. Definitely. Like we needed like a 15 minute like snack break. Maybe like a like they just play a cartoon or something. Get some orange slices. Yes. Then you get back out there. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:36:16 I didn't go to the bathroom. Like I had to pee and I was like, I can't get up right now. Not even during commercial break. I'm trying to catch my breath during commercial break. You were just trying to figure out what the hell was going on. I was so confused at many, many parts. But honestly, the whole thing was an absolute masterpiece. It was.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Just from the beginning to the end. I mean, we'll go through it all. But starting off with the Victoria F stuff and then forgetting that Alleyo was coming back was an absolute treat. Normally you only get one of the. those things of that magnitude in an episode. Right. And they went back to back. And it wasn't like it was a secret. Like they showed us in the preview last week. Like, Aalaya's probably coming back. Like, oh shit, that's going to be the main point of this episode. And then they throw us in Cleveland. They throw us with
Starting point is 00:37:00 Victoria F and what's going on with her to the point where they, I really did forget that we had Alea coming back. Right. Most times when I watch a show, I'm like, oh, this episode needs more drama. Like I'm kind of bored with all the lovey-dovey nonsense that's going on. Last night, I was like, can we see some nice conversation? There's literally no. It's too hectic for me. It's too hectic. It's just straight up all drama, no love. Which happens some seasons where it's just like insane that you're just like, oh, this is so not going to work.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Right. Oh, yeah. You're like, oh, this is not going to. I also think that they're casting like catty or girls now because they want the drama. Oh, I think that they're definitely cat. It's like all who the people pay. Yeah, they do when they do their background checks, like, can we get the catiest people that we get on? the show and I think they accomplished that.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yeah, absolutely. Let's get some people who have dated some country singers. All right, guys, let's start from the beginning. Week 4, Chris Harrison walks in the mansion and he says, Pete is already gone. He left. Pack your backs. We're going to Cleveland. Not only does he say that.
Starting point is 00:38:08 He says, pack your bags. We are starting a worldwide trip. We're starting a worldwide tour. Are we going to Paris? Are we going? Where are we going? Drum. Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:38:17 And I put that clip up and people are mad at me because I, for some reason, they think that I'm making fun of Cleveland. Don't shoot the messenger. You're from Iowa. You're not making fun of from. Exactly. People kept being like you're from Iowa. It's like, I know where I'm from.
Starting point is 00:38:31 I just put the clip up. She's laughing because it's a funny clip. It's the girls who you should be mad at because they were extremely underwhelmed by the idea of Cleveland. Normally they fake it. Not one person can fake the excitement. The look on their faces was absolute disgust. I was just thinking about how, like, how would you be able to contain your face in that moment?
Starting point is 00:38:53 Like, I think I would have reacted the same exact way. I don't think I'd be excited. No offense to Cleveland in Ohio. Cleveland people are going to be mad at. It was just hilarious. I will say not because I'm dissing Ohio, my godfather from Ohio. I'm just kidding, but actually not really. But you're expecting an extravagant trip like to a different country.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Yeah, Cleveland. Cleveland seems like a nice place. I think what really got all the girls was Chris leading with the worldwide tour thing. 100%. And they're like, huh? And then they said Cleveland. They're like, oh. And so, and it's funny because seasons past, like we would make fun of the girls for faking their excitement when it came to like, remember when it was like, we're going to Virginia.
Starting point is 00:39:37 And everybody lost their shit. And we're like, okay, what's going on here? And it doesn't matter where it is. they would just always fake the excitement. They just could not hide it. Savannah was like, is there like something great? There are like some hidden gems in Cleveland that I don't know about? I was like, damn, this is ruthless.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I have been to Cleveland one time. I had a lovely weekend. That's nice. I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yep. Fantastic. A lot of people talk about that. A great place.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I went to a Cavs game, fun. And was it a good team? Was LeBron still there? Yeah. Oh, that's great. That's a great trip. Yeah. So it was all around a nice trip.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Okay. There's like that little downtown pathway with all the bars that they showed, which looks very cute, which was very cute. And I enjoyed my weekend. And it was funny because, like, you know that the girls had to, once they got to Cleveland, it was like the, whatever, you know, the tourist group of, you know, whoever runs, like, the tourism for Cleveland, who arranged this for the Bachelor to come to Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:40:47 All the girls were like, you know, this is just not what we expected. This is beautiful. And it's such a tight-knit community. I love how. That's like, this city has a great personality. Yeah, they were all like, we're just trying to keep an open mind. I'm looking for positive vibes only. It was just they were all, they want to put like the plane by, like plain emoji in their bio.
Starting point is 00:41:10 They're traveling. They had that kind of attitude. Exactly. So the first 101 date goes to Victoria F. And she's excited, but she... So am I. She's excited. And we're all excited because we all know what's coming. Like, we were all just waiting on the edge of our seat because we were like, all, let's get to the good stuff. We know, we know what's happening on this date. And... Her being like, when they drive to the airport and there's the plane there and she, her first thought being like, we going skydiving? It was crazy to me. really lost her shit when it came to like heights and flying and skydiving.
Starting point is 00:41:46 She was really sure that she was skydiving. And this is a season where it's all about planes. They're not going to throw you out of a plane. They want you in the plane safety with Pete the pilot. This whole season is about plane safety. It's all about plane safety. Pete, the pilot is not going to let you jump out of a plane. So I think you're safe there.
Starting point is 00:42:03 For sure. But then they go to Cedar Point and they go on all these rides. Yeah. Yeah. And then, you know, they get on the plane and she it's unfortunate she goes full baby voice also
Starting point is 00:42:15 like I was just like oh man and it's tough when they cut like it was back and forth so quickly from her on the plane to her talking to producers like in her little interview and speaking in a normal voice and then back to her like speaking to Peter
Starting point is 00:42:30 like oh my God are we going to go excited it was just like it was it was brutal but they really were just going to Cedar Point to ride some rides I love roller coasters I used to love roller coasters, but now that I... Real would have loved this date. Now that I've passed the point of like 25 years old, I don't like roller coasters anymore.
Starting point is 00:42:48 What are you laughing at? Jeff D. Lowe responded to, I'm sorry, I have to... I see he's retweeting all your stuff now. What? He's retweeting like your tweet. I laughed out loud at his response to my tweet. So, I'm sorry to interrupt this. I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:43:04 But Jeff D. Lowe tweeted about this mistake in friends early. earlier today. Like, you know how friends, the body. I'm sorry you son. Friends has, friends that like did not, like they would have their, the actor's body doubles come in for scenes and like did not hide it well at all. So there are blatant scenes where like it's Courtney Cox and then all of a sudden it's a profile and it's so clearly not Courtney Cox.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Okay. So one time I tweeted about it before. So one time I tweeted this video, right? And Jeff DeLowe like texted me about it. Like, oh my God. I've seen this in friends. It happens all the time. Isn't it crazy?
Starting point is 00:43:41 I remember talking about it in the office. We talked about as a group. As a group in the office. So when Jeff D. D. Lowe tweets this out today. Of course my mind goes, Jeff D. Lowe just stole my tweets. Basically like the same tweet,
Starting point is 00:43:53 except now the video was still photos. Right. He did photos. So then I wrote, Jeff D. Are you trying to go viral off one of my old tweets that you discuss with me?
Starting point is 00:44:02 And he writes back, oh no, we've discussed so many of these mistakes. It's a blur. I wrote, oh, it is no blur, Jeff Dilo. I now know where your head's at.
Starting point is 00:44:11 It is no blur. Jeff D. You could be on my side with this. We discussed it in the office. It is no blur. We, it was discussed multiple times. Jeff D.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Lowe just won that Twitter clout. And I feel like Jeff Dilo did actually refer to your tweet. Like when we talked about it, you know? Oh, I know because he texted me about it. It stemmed from your tweet. Oh, Jeff. Oh, Jeff.
Starting point is 00:44:34 He might as well just as replied, oh. Oh. Yep. But still you're tweet. Oh, no. It's a blur. What?
Starting point is 00:44:42 That's why I was laughing out loud. That is, I almost responded with, like, I laughed out loud at that response, but I was like, I just have to straight up say, no, you're wrong. Oh, Jeff Dillon. All right. Let's return back to The Bachelor. Okay. I was asking you a question.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Would you have enjoyed this Cedar Point? I would have loved this date. I love roller coasters. I love the adrenaline and Rush. We've talked about this before. I was thinking about when we were with Dylan and Tyler in L.A., and we were going on the ride and everyone was freaking out. And Victoria was like, freaking out.
Starting point is 00:45:08 everyone's so excited. Just going on rides is love rides. What about the slingshot though? That is, that's crazy. No, slingshot is, is tough.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Although she truly, just throwing you in the air. I really think she was freaking out. Like, the amount she was freaking out was a lot. You think she was laying it on pretty thick? Yeah, and that's, you know what?
Starting point is 00:45:30 It is fair though, because that is a terrifying ride. I think if you're in that moment, like you do kind of, like lose your Oh my gosh Your bearings Like it's one thing to go on a roller coaster that has a track
Starting point is 00:45:44 And you kind of know how it goes Slingshot is just They literally just throw you as high as they can in the air And they're like I hope it goes okay Yep basically Want to You know Noah was on his Twitter game last night
Starting point is 00:45:58 I will say He tweeted a picture of Victoria F's Instagram That you posted at Instagram From 2014 of her skyd A picture of her skydiving Yeah, so she's not that afraid of it. And it's just so funny because every time Noah tweets about it is like it's from
Starting point is 00:46:15 the Chicks of the Office account, but like I hear Noah's voice, I hear my voice. It's just it cracks me up because it's like, oh, Victoria F, you really can't skydive, huh? It's like no. I told Dylan, stop breaking the fourth wall. I like it. Well, it's like a little shield. Well, that was like a direct shot at Dylan that was fairly unnecessary. What?
Starting point is 00:46:36 No, yeah, that one I get. But he did it to another. post. Yeah, but once you start tweeting at him and they know it's... You called him out first. You called him out for Luke P for no reason. So you kind of... It was very funny. They were playing football and I'm like, oh, this makes sense. Yeah, it was funny. Keep doing it. You keep doing it, but you got to allow him to keep...
Starting point is 00:46:55 I mean, they were playing football on last night. Yeah, I know. So I'm like... Yes, it made sense. It was a good tweet. All of Noah's tweets are good. It was very funny. Every single time I laugh out loud and I want to respond and I forget it looks weird if I respond because I respond because... because it's our account. Yeah, they don't know that. I normally only do when, but the thing is people know now. Like Noah tweet something ruthless and they're like, Noah!
Starting point is 00:47:18 People know that it's like. I saw people tweeting like, Noah, my dog. Yeah. What's going on? The skydiving tweet, like people were like, oh shit, Noah. He's got a little bit of a cult following. I like it. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:30 So the skydiving picture was very funny. It's like, okay, all right. You're clearly super afraid. Like, you've done it before. And so, you know, they go on this date, they hang out afterwards during the music park. Victoria F had one of the more interesting toasts, I would say, of this season, not even a toast. You know, he just cheers with Pete and said, cheers our sons having hot moms and successful dads. That made me feel uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:48:01 High standards, my friends. High standards. That did lead to a conversation about how many kids they want to have. I guess it worked, but in the moment it's just like, that's not what you want to say. Right. Like that's as high as we're going. Hot moms and successful dads. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Yeah. What did you guys think of Pete's reasoning for not wanting to have three kids? I thought it was cute. I don't know. Yeah. Where he said that if you go to an amusement park, then one of them has to sit alone. Listen, I'm somebody in a family of three kids. So are you?
Starting point is 00:48:32 You're the oldest, right? It's a little different for the youngest. One often gets left out. I will say when I was younger, my older sister and brother, like, kind of left me out sometimes. Let's hash it out. No, I'm really close with them, honestly. Yeah, yeah. But we talk about all the time when I was younger, the things they would do to me.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Like, I remember times where we'd be together and they would, like, have their friends over or my neighbors. And they were like making cassidias. One night, our parents were out. And they tied me up to a chair and wouldn't let me eat the cassidias. They were like, you're not eating. So these are things that you remember as a younger child. I would say I'm the youngest as well. I think any number of kids, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:49:10 If you're the youngest, you're going to get tortured. I was tortured as a child. Exactly. There is somebody who kind of gets left out sometimes. My sister is the youngest and she was just like a straight up bully as a kid. So she was a, no, say the same about me, but I was like, it's because you guys were mean. You're trying to assert dominance.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Yeah. Yeah. It's every, I mean, you're going to have a different perspective on it depending on obviously which. order which, which child you are. Sure. You know? So it was, I thought it was, it was sweet.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Like I personally have never thought about it that way of like somebody's going to be left off the roller coaster if I, if I, uh, no, yeah, if I have three kids. Um, but Pete must really like amusement parks. So he talked about it multiple times. So he's an amusement park guy. That's cool. Uh, so then, you know, Pete is, this is, here we go. Pete.
Starting point is 00:50:03 so surprised so ready so ready to surprise Victoria's got a big surprise so excited can't wait do you like country music yes she does
Starting point is 00:50:13 and as soon it was almost like like as soon as he said do you like country music like her eyes were like oh no it was like you know in her head she was like
Starting point is 00:50:23 it can't be but it can't it can't it mustn't just thinking all these things and her face she was just so, like, worried.
Starting point is 00:50:35 And then they turn the corner and it's so clearly Chase Rice. And she just, like, plasters this fake smile and is like, huh, okay. This is great. We're having fun. I think at that point, you just have to sprint in the other direction and you don't come back. I can't believe she went through the whole day. I don't know what you do, though.
Starting point is 00:50:52 I was thinking about that because Nick Viol tweeted, like, Victoria F handled the situation better than most people could handle this type of situation. because realistically, do you tell him right before you're walking up, you're on a show, you're nervous, you don't know what to do in that moment. Makes me think she's got some good practice with a line to people. She's a great liar. She really pulled off a fantastic job. I think walking up, I would have to be like, oh no, like I dated him or like I hooked up
Starting point is 00:51:25 with him, whatever it is. But you say that, but then you don't know when you're in that position. Yeah. It's, it's, you have no idea and you can't decide how you're going to ask. No, you, nobody has ever been put in a position where they're on a date and you're being like swept up. Yeah. And things are planned and they could have had anybody else, but they just picked somebody they knew you dated. Yeah, you don't want to ruin it.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I don't, I think she did handle it the right way now that I do think about it, I suppose. Because if you tell them right away, then the date's just over and like you ruin the entire thing. Yeah. But you want to be honest up front. But I guess, you know, you can look back instead. that would have been better or whatnot. If she had done that, maybe they go on a few more rides and then they go home.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Yeah. You know? They're just like, all right, let's get out of here. Yeah, like, let's just cancel this.
Starting point is 00:52:12 What if she just never told him? That would have really bitter in the ass even more, I think, because obviously everybody probably would have found out. Because then Alea comes in with the information. Yeah, but now with the rumors. But people would have,
Starting point is 00:52:27 I think like when, this came out. And there are pictures of Victoria and Chase Rice together. I feel like either a friend of Victoria or a friend of Chase Rice would have been like, those two banged. Why are we not talking about that? So you're saying if she goes all the way and maybe she ended up with them, then he sees those pictures.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Is that you're saying? No, no, no. I'm saying if she just straight up didn't tell Pete on this date that they dated. Right. You know, like that would have eventually backfired. For sure. Like that information would have come out in some way. So they're dancing.
Starting point is 00:53:01 She's singing the worst, all the songs. Pete's like, oh my God. That's so crazy. In this moment, I didn't know if I was laughing or feeling really bad for Pete. Like it just, I couldn't believe that he wasn't in on it. You know what I mean? Like at one point I was like, is he in on this? Because this is just all a little too much.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Yeah. Like when Chase Rice was like, are you too excited? And he was like, hell yeah. like, oh, oh my God. He was so innocent. And like, hell yeah. Hell yeah. I love country music.
Starting point is 00:53:37 You're Chase Rice, man. This is great. We're having a great time. And then Chase Rice is like, hell yeah. I was like, this villain behavior. The way he like talked to Chase after the show too, like there was no way. And then once again, so Chase sing his song Lonely if you are, which let me just read part of the lyrics because I think he wrote this song about Victoria F like
Starting point is 00:53:59 Chase might be denying that they dated. Like Chase has done some interviews now where he said that they basically like had a one night stand and that was kind of it and we'll get to that. But the lyrics to this song, one verse is, it's Monday. If it's Monday and it's over, you know the show your girls all come over for and the red wine's getting lower and your last friend's out the door. When there's no more roses to go around, hit me up, girl. you know I'm down.
Starting point is 00:54:30 I mean, God's name is that. That's a Bachelor recap. That's like what we do on this podcast. Right. He basically did a Bachelor recap. That's 100% about the Bachelor. So do we think that Chase Rice is now lying about saying that they only hooked up once?
Starting point is 00:54:44 Because that's what he's going around and saying on multiple outlets have reported it. There was a People article that said they only hooked up once. He's like, they just put this on to me. Yeah. So I don't know whether or not. And listen, we've heard. heard bad things about Victoria F, but I don't know whether or not it's Victoria F didn't date him and it was actually just like one night and she's a full on crazy person like people are saying.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Or they did date and Chase Rice was so pissed she went on the show that when this is all happened, he's like, fuck her, I'm going to act like we only slept together one night because I'm pissed at her that she went on the show. I don't know which one to believe. I don't know. It's tough because I would know. normally lean towards Chase just because like Victoria has, I don't know, more to gain, I feel like, out of this, just reality TV wise.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Yeah. Having this story telling people that you dated Chase right. You know, it just, I don't know, it seems more plausible to me. Who knows? He went on the fits in the morning radio show and he told them that he and Victoria spent one night together and he thought he was only on The Bachelor to promote his music like other singers have done previously. He said, we spent a night together in Charlotte. She's a cool chick from what I know of her. You know, I got no problem with her. I got no problem with him.
Starting point is 00:56:10 I, you know, I knew she was going on the show. So. That's unbelievable. So then it's like, okay, so clearly you knew she was going on the show. But also, that information is public, you know. Like Chase Rice could have seen the cast before the show started and been like, oh, I bang that girl, you know? Yeah. That doesn't necessarily mean they talked about it. No.
Starting point is 00:56:38 And Victoria F being like I dated Chase Rice, that could just be like, that sounds better to Pete if you're telling it to him than being like, yeah, we just slept together one night. Like that's sort of the way Victoria can spin it her way. I think that this is all just planned. I think maybe even they, the producers were like, hey, Chase Rice,
Starting point is 00:56:58 put this in your song so then when this episode comes out, it'll be just a part of the story. This, regardless of what the truth is, this was a masterpiece. Them having Victoria and Pete go to a Chase Rice concert, knowing full well that Victoria and Chase had at least some sort of history made for some of the best TV I've ever seen. Right.
Starting point is 00:57:18 I almost wish that the internet didn't exist, although I love the live tweeting for The Bachelor, but during The Bachelor, because if we didn't have the internet, we wouldn't be watching the show and then thinking, oh, wait, they didn't actually date. We'd just be like, yeah, they dated. Now we have all these questions.
Starting point is 00:57:33 Did they not date? Is it all planned? Is it this? Is it that? What we do know is they at least had some sort of history. Right. Which I think is enough. Yeah, I think that's enough for her to have to say something.
Starting point is 00:57:43 For sure. You can't sit there and act like you didn't bang the guy that's on stage. Right. So Chase Wright is kind of downplaying it. But was it all kind of in her plan to begin with? No, I don't think so I think their history is real I don't think Victoria F
Starting point is 00:58:02 expected to see Chase Rice whatsoever. No, I think that she probably wants to get away from her past as much as possible from what I'm hearing about her past. This girl this girl screenshotsed this I guess it's from a Facebook group I'm not sure she just screenshotsed the
Starting point is 00:58:18 information and tweeted it to us and just said that she is a friend that is friends with Chase Rice and that Chase says that they didn't actually date. Victoria slid into Chase's Instagram DMs. They exchanged numbers, met up, slept together. It was one time.
Starting point is 00:58:34 They never went out again. Chase was paid $20,000 to perform the show. He went to perform his music. He had no idea she was on the show. She approached him. According to Chase, he knew she looked familiar, but couldn't remember who she was because he has slept with so many girls. Like, okay.
Starting point is 00:58:50 That's true. Yeah. And that Chase had a press statement ready to release that the show spins the story. a bad light because he doesn't want his name associated to the drama and that Victoria slid into Chase's DMs around New Year's and said she wishes she could like his photos but is afraid people will notice and start rumors. He didn't respond. Then she slid in last week and talked up the upcoming episode. Chase it all good. And Victoria said I think this would be the best for our
Starting point is 00:59:13 careers if we just roll with everything. I know we said it's petty to do screenshots, but let's see some screenshots. That's the proof right there. I'm actually right now I'm happy with where we're at. Like in terms of like, I know they have some sort of history. It's not like they had never met. They had clearly met whether they dated or just had a one-eight hookup. That's almost, that doesn't matter to me. What happened on the show and how good it was, I'm all set. I almost don't even really care that much.
Starting point is 00:59:38 I'm with you. I really don't even care that much about like Victoria and Chase's past and like what she said to him and vice versa. Like they clearly had sex at least once. Nice. Yes, but it would be kind of different if she was straight up like, that's my ex-boyfriend. first I had sex with that person Which is sort of what she said, right? She did say, she said she broke up with him
Starting point is 01:00:00 because she didn't want the life, like she didn't want the lifestyle that he lives. Yes, it would be crazy behavior by somebody to say that if they weren't actually dating him, which is why I'm spectacle about what is happening. It looks better for her to tell Pete that, yeah, we were dating and it just didn't work out because of his lifestyle as opposed to being like, yeah, I hooked up with him one night
Starting point is 01:00:20 just because, you know, he's Chase Rice and then we kept it moving. Okay. I don't know. I don't know. I will say we either way though. It's still great TV. It's still great TV.
Starting point is 01:00:30 Some of the best TV I feel like Peter kind of knows like in, I don't know, in this day and age, like Peter is sleeping with random girls, aka Kelly. Right. So. Okay. Yeah. I will say we interviewed, we interviewed Chase Rice for Foreplay a couple months ago at the J-Coh and Charity event. And I wish. Oh, God, damn it.
Starting point is 01:00:48 And I wish that. You had seen these spoilers? No, no, no. but I wish that the episode had aired, and I just wouldn't have talked to him about golf at all. I just would have asked him bachelor questions the whole time. But he was a nice guy and we met him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:00 I don't know. He's a country star for sure. Definitely. I mean, he's an attractive fellow and he's a good singer. So. And so. The conversation with Pete afterwards was very funny. The conversation with Pete was so funny. She's like, so where are you at in this season?
Starting point is 01:01:15 What week is it? You know, like you guys go on a date after this? Yeah. It was funny. And they exchanged numbers and it's like, Yeah. The em-changing phone numbers, I was like, what is Chase Rice about to text Peter? Those are screenshots I want to see.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Yeah. Between Pete and Chase Rice. Like what? Chase Rice was like, let me get your phone number, pal, because I got some things to tell. Let me ask you this. So Pete and Chase have the conversation. At that point, does Chase know that it's Victoria that's there? Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Because they saw them during the performance. Yes. Do you think Chase, let's say it was just a hook up? Do you think Chase recognized them in the crowd being like, that's a girl that I have dated slash hooked up with? 100%. He said that he didn't, he said that he couldn't apparently remember who.
Starting point is 01:02:02 Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. But also the editing. Like he really was looking at her and then like there was a moment I felt like his face where he was like, I can't believe this is happening. I thought. Right. I just, I'm so caught up in like the way they edit these things now that I'm always thinking that he could have made a weird face and they put that in.
Starting point is 01:02:20 I don't know. But apparently this is just what I read somewhere, that he said that he couldn't remember where he knew her from, which I thought was outrageous. That could also explain the confusion. Part of me definitely thought that Chase Rice did not realize who Victoria was until they were having a conversation after the show and after Pete had already talked to him. And it was funny because when Victoria was like, I have to tell, like, first of all, Pete and Victoria did not talk to Chase.
Starting point is 01:02:48 together, which I don't know why Pete didn't think that was weird. Like, hey, let's go say hi to the guy who just sang for us. And Victoria's like, I'm going to go take a really long bathroom break. And then like, I'll come back and talk to him alone. And so she talks to him alone and is like, I just, I'm going to have to tell Peter like what went on between us, you know? And he seemed like he didn't have a care in the world. He was just like, yeah, I mean, do what you got to do.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Like, if that's what's best for you, like, do you? He seemed very understanding. I agree. Like that, like that it seemed like he almost did not. know, like he was so cool about it because he did not know what Victoria was going to say to Pete. I am convinced now that Chase Rice did not know that Victoria was there until they spoke. And then maybe mid-conversation being like, this is Victoria. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:33 And I know her. But I don't know. Who knows? Who knows? But his first question to her being like, are you having fun? It was very funny. Just like, no. I'm on a date with my potential future husband and I have a country star up there.
Starting point is 01:03:46 I dated. Yeah. It is, it was very funny. Victoria claimed that Chase did not want her to go on the show that they had talked about it and that Chase didn't want her to go on the show. So it's like two, I don't know what to believe. Two very, very different stories. Victoria hasn't really spoken on it because I don't think she can right now. So we'll see what happens when she finally does just like pour out every thought that she has had throughout this season.
Starting point is 01:04:13 Detail of her life. Yeah. Yeah, it'll be intense. but they go to dinner. Peter's just like so excited. I mean, yeah, and Peter's just so excited that he's like, Chase Rice, this guy could be singing at our wedding. Who knows?
Starting point is 01:04:28 He was still so excited about it. He really, he really was. I mean, Victoria told them that they used to date. He was like, huh? You know, we could have Chase Rice. Singing at our wedding. There you go. You never know.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Pete. Pete, I do. He's so sweet. innocent sometimes. Pure Pete, he really is. And then when she tells him, he doesn't even like react in a way that's, there's no anger. There's just like, he, I think he says, it's so freaking weird. He's like, the singer, Chase's?
Starting point is 01:04:58 Yeah, the singer that, that one over there. Not like Chase Soutley, the baseball player. The moment where he goes, this is freaking weird. Yeah, so freaking weird. It's like, dude, you should be like, I couldn't believe what was happening. What you should say is there like, what the fuck is going on? Right. What am I doing here?
Starting point is 01:05:13 I need some bleeps from Peter there. He was freaking weird. He was very understanding, which was very nice, but this is so freaking weird, didn't seem strong enough for the situation. She runs off crying and all of a sudden it's like full victim of, you know, I get it, if you don't want to try with me anymore. Like sad Victoria where then Peter feels like I got to take care of this girl. Of course.
Starting point is 01:05:36 This is where I got annoyed. I was like, I'm expecting Pete to blow up right now. No. And he's just like, yeah, it's just like, all right. It's also like, what can he be mad about? What she looked and she knew. People date. People hook up.
Starting point is 01:05:47 Exactly. She wasn't like, let's go to a Chase Rice concert. That'll be awesome. She found herself in a situation where the producer's like, we're going to send you to a Chase Race concert and then she's got to pick up the pieces. Definitely. But I think she has just been, and Pete, he is very understanding. He seems like such a good guy.
Starting point is 01:06:05 But this episode was kind of just like, hey, man, let's get a back. A little bit of a back bone here. Just something. Just a little something. Let us know. a spine back there. They just kind of end up laughing it off. They have a good time. Victoria F. gets the rose and it
Starting point is 01:06:21 seems like she was probably so happy. Like damn, that's it. That was fine. I'm going to go home. I'm not going to tell any of the girls. No one's going to know. Easy peasy. Until the episode airs. Not what happened.
Starting point is 01:06:37 Not what happened. All the girls are picked for the group date besides Kelsey, which means she's gotten the next 101. they go to First Energy Stadium to play some football. They got Josh Cribbs and Hanford Dix in there. Jeffty Lowe, not to bring him up again. You fuck Jeff D. Loe.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Jeffty Lowe texted me last night. I don't know if this is private information, but I'm going to share it. He texted about friends and the double casting. He texted me that this was supposed to be, that it was supposed to be Baker and Miles Garrett, but then the Brown sucked so much that they didn't let them do it. Yeah, it wouldn't be a good look for them to be like,
Starting point is 01:07:13 yeah, we're one in five and or whatever their record was. And we're out here with Pete playing football. Exactly. Josh Cribs. I hadn't heard that name in a long time. And so these guys, the girls, they're ready to fight. Exactly. These girls are ready to go at it.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Tammy's ready to tackle some bitches. They're playing. It's the Eliminators versus the Killer Bees football. Victoria P. does not play because she has a back. injury. Love this move. What's the motto? There are no rules. Just fake a back injury. Back injury. She gets to sit with Peter. You don't have to play football. You sit with Pete. He gives you a massage and you get time with him. All the other girls are out there risking ACLs and MCLs and
Starting point is 01:07:59 concussions. And Victoria P is like, my back hurts. And then she can just sit there on the sidelines. Perfectly played by Victoria P. This reminds me of when a gym in middle school. And if you were the first one to get in there to be like, I don't feel well, you get to sit out. not going to allow multiple people to sit out. You can't be the fourth, but if you're the first. If you're the first one to go up to that gym teacher and say, hey, my stomach hurts. You don't have to run those three laps. That's right.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Great move by Victoria P. Yeah. So the girls really go pretty hard. Cheyenne was great. Deandra scored game-wing, touch, game tying touchdown at the end. Kelly was playing QB. Kelly is just like such a regular person. It's just unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Too normal to be there. She's so normal. Within all the dramas, she's always just kind of like taking a sip of her drink and laughing, which I really respect. So the game ends in a tie, which means that everybody gets to go on the night date. Would you look at that? Just so happened that every girl had to watch Alea come back in. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:03 Like, I'm sure they were super happy. That game was rigged. Yeah. That game was rigged. So a tie? The girls are pissed. The girls are pissed. also a tie and no overtime.
Starting point is 01:09:14 Like they could have given them like one. This last play wins the game. They could even did like rock paper scissors. Like rock paper scissors to the winter. They're like, nope, tie. You're all coming to the cocktail party. They all got bruises and got extremely physical and violent for no reason at all. I would be so pissed.
Starting point is 01:09:30 I would be so pissed. Like they basically they were like, why do that? Right. Like this is a competition and then it ends and they're like, just kidding. Everybody wins. It's a good point because that really is sort of the beginning of Pete making all sorts of bad decisions. Like, as bad decisions as you can make, which we'll see.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Yes. What do you guys think now I propose the question, him as The Bachelor? Like, do you think he's doing good or do you think he's doing bad? Nope. I have two parts to an answer to that. One, I do not think he's doing a good job. I like him. Yes.
Starting point is 01:10:00 But I don't think he's doing a job. He is mismanaging it. Correct. And to reference to Cleveland Browns in a Freddie Kitchens type of way. He was not prepared. Two, I love it, though, because it makes it so interesting. Yes. The end of the episode, and I'm jumping a little bit ahead, but just there's the part where
Starting point is 01:10:16 all just all the girls are yelling at each other. I don't know if they overlaid audio or if that's what was actually happening. It doesn't matter to me. It's just so interesting. So I like him. He's not very good at being The Bachelor, but it makes it a very interesting season. Some will say he's less prepared than Hannaby was. Yeah, he.
Starting point is 01:10:33 Somehow. Somehow he is less prepared. I feel like it's like the perfect storm. They cast a group of insane. girls who they knew the drama would be out of this world with cute, innocent Pete, who was just not going to be able to handle all of these women and all the drama. And it has just come together and truly the perfect storm. So it's like the, the drama that they have served up to Pete and what the producers have done for the show, Pete has just not been equipped to handle it. And you have
Starting point is 01:11:09 all these girls on this group date and bam, Alea comes walking up the stairs. She goes over to talk to Pete. Sheanne has gotten absolutely screwed this entire time. Anytime, like all I remember of this season for her is like anytime she's talking to Pete, she's getting interrupted by somebody. Yep. Like no matter what, 100% getting interrupted.
Starting point is 01:11:32 And this time she gets interrupted by someone who just walked off the street. Who was not even on the show. She's getting interrupted by people who got kicked off. And she was already mad at Victoria P because Victoria P grabbed her Pete right away. It's like, excuse me, I was the star of the game. I scored the most touchdowns. I should be able to talk to him.
Starting point is 01:11:48 She-Anne finally gets him. Alea walks in chaos. Absolutely chaos. You know, Alaya's like, can I talk to you? Pete has no idea what to say. So he's just like, sure, they talk. Leia wants to clear her name. Explains more about her in Victoria.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Actually really being friends, reveals that they went on this Vegas trip together. there's pictures to prove it. Peter is so incredibly confused. He's like, I'm obviously being lied to by someone. He doesn't know what's going on. Well, neither did I. I'm so confused. I really don't understand what's going on between them.
Starting point is 01:12:22 Go back to the episode where all the girls are snitching on Alea. Yeah. Being like, she's fake. She shows us one face, shows you another. And then he pulls Victoria P aside and is like, I trust you the most. What do you think of Olaia? Victoria P. Berries Alea, and that seems genuine.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Like, all right, that's, Alea's going to go home now because she's clearly a fake person. Comes back, Alea presents the information that Victoria P lied about knowing each other for three hours.
Starting point is 01:12:49 Turns out they went to Vegas together. It's like a whole, so now it sort of flips like, Pete doesn't know who to trust. I don't know who to trust. I don't know where we go with it from there. I don't know. There are some comments from Victoria P
Starting point is 01:13:00 on Victoria F's Instagram. Okay. From, I think that time in Vegas, she wrote On Alley or Victoria F? Oh, I'm sorry. Victoria. Victoria P on Victoria F's Instagram. Victoria F was in Vegas too?
Starting point is 01:13:17 Victoria P and Alleyo were in Vegas. Yeah, it would be Victoria P commenting on Aleas probably. Sorry, Alley. I'm mixing up the names. And wrote Bring Back Me and So And So Food. So it's like they really knew each other and we're friendly enough to do that. Victoria P saying they only knew each other for three hours. That was alive.
Starting point is 01:13:35 That was alive. So it seems like now you think, did Victoria P. just see the opportunity to bury Elya and took it. I was like, I'm getting this girl out of here, which with whatever, however I have to do it. So Pete is incredibly confused and he goes to confront Victoria P. now. She admits that they did go to Vegas, but then the whole thing absolutely crumbles. Like she, Pete just asked her like, well, then why did you tell me you guys weren't friends? and she just lost it.
Starting point is 01:14:05 It was like, why, why don't you believe me? I'm telling you that my truth is a truth. I've been so honest and vulnerable with you. She starts crying, like, does not answer the question at all. It just loses her shit. When you start saying my truth, that means you are lying and you just are hoping that he believes your side. We talked about this before. We're not big my truth people.
Starting point is 01:14:25 This show is anti-my-truth. Yeah, we don't like my truths. When Chloe Kardashian started putting out my truths about the, Tristan and Jordan situation. I was like, Chloe, reel it in, don't say anything else because you're winning this right now. And now you're using my truth and it's going downhill. My truth is literally not the truth. Right.
Starting point is 01:14:43 My truth. You would say the truth is not my truth. You know what they call my truth? That's your opinion. Yes. Right. That's your opinion. Of what happened.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Yes. Exactly. It is her opinion on what went down. So then, you know, the girls are all fighting about it. Like, DeAndre was like, Victoria wouldn't lie. Zavanaa says that Victoria. says different things behind closed doors and that like during the rose ceremony Victoria P acted like she was Alea's best friend and was like holding her hand.
Starting point is 01:15:12 And the whole thing, now we're just all confused because it's like who the heck do we believe? All the other girls still hate Alea but are all those other girls like friends with Victoria P. So that's why they're on Victoria P side. The whole thing is so confusing. And then Peter brings Alea and Victoria P to talk together while he just sits awkwardly on the corner of the couch like looking so. confused while these two talk in Victoria Peace is my truth a billion times. Pete looked like at one point it seems like they forget that he's there.
Starting point is 01:15:41 I was just sort of looking at it like what's going on right now? Once again, it's happening to me right now. Like my mind, my head hurts. I can't think about this conversation anymore with these two. I was, I was freaking out during this. I couldn't follow what was going on. I was like Pete. They were saying.
Starting point is 01:15:57 No idea. I was exactly like Pete in that moment. Every sentence that came out, you were like, but what does that mean? I'm getting stressed talking about it. Is it the Charlie Brown teacher where it's just like, want, want, want,
Starting point is 01:16:07 that's what I was hearing. 100%. Yeah. I had no idea what was happening. Victoria said in that moment, like, Alea was like, we were friends,
Starting point is 01:16:19 we are friends, whatever. And she was like, I did not fully take the opportunity to know you like before the show. What does that mean? What do you mean? You were clearly on this trip together. it's all so insane.
Starting point is 01:16:35 So Peter, he's still so confused. We're confused. The conversation, I don't even know how it really ended. Like, it just ended with everybody still being confused. And Peter being like, oh, shit, I shouldn't have sent Alea home. I'm going to give her the group day rose in front of everybody's face. It does seem that at the end of it, and I forget how the Alea Victoria P conversation ended as well. But he clearly must believe Alaya to a certain extent to then give her, not only bring her back,
Starting point is 01:17:02 where he was sort of like, oh, I made a mistake sending you home. And then she's like, I guess I could come back. He basically has to beg her. But then he gives her the rose. Yeah. Which that might go down as one of the worst decisions in Bachelor history. In front of all the girls, which was insane. Every girl.
Starting point is 01:17:16 It's one thing to grab the rose and like take it into the room to give it to her privately. And, you know, take the rose and everybody sees him take the rose. But just in front of everyone. Right. And every girl was so pissed off because even. She wasn't on the date. She wasn't on the date. They all got bruises.
Starting point is 01:17:30 They all. What did the girl say? caused bodily harm. Yeah. Serious bodily harm to themselves. I think we have the clip. This is when he comes back. I've never felt so
Starting point is 01:17:42 under-recognized by somebody. And for us who on the group date who bust our ass out there on the football field and literally have the physical bruises to show and then for you to come to the cocktail party and ignore us, half of us that didn't get time and then walk in hand in hand with Alea, it was like the biggest slap in the face.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Like, I couldn't even look at you. That's how the episode basically ended. Literally, my ankle is still sore. If you had to envision a scenario, like, what's the worst move Pete can make? Like, if you look at each scenario, what's the worst thing Pete could do here to cause the most chaos? Yeah. And in that situation, after that group date, after Alea shows back up and causes chaos, it is give her the rose in front of everyone. And that's exactly what he did.
Starting point is 01:18:20 Yep. It's stunning. It's really insane. I don't know how he thought that was a good idea. And I don't know if it was him who made that decision or the producers made him make that decision. Because realistically, there's 20 other girls. in the house. He knows how many other girls are back at the house. He hasn't got to know any of them, really, besides Madison who he's in love with and Hannah Ann, they know. But he doesn't know these
Starting point is 01:18:42 girls at all. Aaliyah is just another one. There's 20 of them. Send her home. She doesn't have to be here. She's not the one for you. Let me tell you. You know what makes it worse? Him allowing her back onto the show, that's a rose. Yeah. That's a rose. He's not going to then go to the rose ceremony next time and be like, I'm not giving Alea a rose. So he basically gave her a double rose. Because he's not going to send her home with the next rose ceremony. That's not happening. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:19:09 He didn't have to give her that rose. You're so right. Right. Zero. Because you're right. What, he's going to have her come back and then send her home that night. No. The rose is going to went to anybody else.
Starting point is 01:19:18 He just, he is ignoring everybody. It just makes you think that Peter really has no idea what he wants. He doesn't know what he's doing. He has absolutely no idea what he wants. Alea at the end of this date tells McKenna and and that they need to catch up on everything that's going on. She brings up the Chase Rice stuff with Victoria F. She's like, oh, I know.
Starting point is 01:19:37 Like, oh, there was this group date. And then Victoria F went on the date with Chase Rice. They used to date. And she's like, oh, y'all didn't know. The internet knows everything. I'll tell you all. Like, I was absolutely disgusted with Alaya here. Listen, that's not fair.
Starting point is 01:19:52 That's why you don't allow her to come back on the show. The rules are you have no access to the internet. Nobody's allowed access to the internet. Now, Alea, she gets to have, you know, oh, she gets to talk to some people and get in touch with her family members and have this little privilege even though she was a problem. I think the producers, at the beginning of this season, I think the producers were like, you know what? Fuck it, because I don't think none of us think Peter's going to find love. Let's make this shit as dramatic as possible. Alea, she can go home, she can browse, she can read reality Steve for like a couple days.
Starting point is 01:20:24 And then let's let her come back and tell everybody what she saw. Let me run this idea by it because I gave me this when I, when this happened, when Alea comes back with all this information about Victoria F and Chase Rice, I think when they have these physical challenges like the football game or, whichever one early on in the season where was a physical challenge. The pillow fight. No, not the pillow fight. The one before that.
Starting point is 01:20:43 Obstical course with the bike. I don't think that should be for, it could also be for like a date, but I think it should also be like you get your phone for 15 minutes. Because information on the show is so powerful. Think of Victoria F hadn't told. Pete about the Chase Rice thing and she hadn't told the people in the house. And then Alea comes in and is like,
Starting point is 01:21:02 I got some shit on Victoria F. That makes it so much more interesting. I think physical challenges should allow them some sort of access to their phone. Really just sort of mix in. Because everyone now, this show, people talk about the internet and how it affects how we view the people.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Like, we all know stuff about Victoria F that the people on the show don't know about. I think if you kind of mix that in somehow and give them access to their phones, I think that would make it even more dramatic. Right. Trent, I think that you have the power to make this kind of go somewhere because the producers, I feel like, somehow listen to this show sometimes. And I mean, well, Robert Mills, he interacts with us on.
Starting point is 01:21:39 He sees our tweets. He sees our tweets. Throw that out there on Twitter. Maybe tag him. I think it's a great idea. I think it's a way to, because people are reading these stories anyway when they're watching it. I think it's a good way to mix it in in terms of like what's going on in the outside world. Also, what do you guys think about McKenna and Hannah?
Starting point is 01:21:56 am being friends with Alea because honestly I don't hate Hannah-Anne I don't McHenna I think that they're interesting people on the show characters I don't I don't I it's making me not like them I know I like McKenna a lot but it's like what's going on because I would not be friends with
Starting point is 01:22:14 Alea I don't see myself being friends with Alaya and then I'm like they're clicking with Alaya what's going on yeah the friend dynamic is very confusing because not only that but like I see the girls commenting on each other's Instagrams now like currently and it's always Victoria P and Victoria F and Sydney always common in all their stuff. I'm like, is this actually the mean girl group and we're all missing something?
Starting point is 01:22:35 That's kind of the theme of the season for me is I don't know who the bad guys are. Right. I have no idea. And I keep seeing Nick Viol tweet out stuff that he's like trying to throw us off track. He'll be like, what do he tweet to you? He responded to me. He said the bachelor's like a fine bottle of red wine. You open it up and let it breathe a little bit.
Starting point is 01:22:51 I'm like, this is a riddle, Nick. I don't know what this is. Yeah. And then he was like maybe Alea comes back. and we find out who the real villain is. So is he trying to say that Alaya's not the villain? Because right now, I don't think I like Alea, but I'm very confused.
Starting point is 01:23:05 It seems like they're all somewhat in the wrong. Like, there's really nobody who's, like right in this situation. There's nobody who's really likable right now besides Kelly, who is just as normal. As normal as can be. And then I think I would think McKenna, but if she's buddy-buddy with- I like the girls that he doesn't talk to.
Starting point is 01:23:21 Yes. Like, the girls that he doesn't talk to that are pissed at him on at all times. Like, I like them. Him coming back the next day, which is the clip we played, where he was like, he shows up at the house the next day. And the girls are just pissed off. Guys, I have to mention it quickly before we end so that we do include everything. He did go on a one and one date with Kelsey. We're just kind of.
Starting point is 01:23:43 We never talked about that. He did go on a one on a date with Kelsey. It went pretty well. He told her that Alea was back. Kelsey seemed to handle it pretty well. Like, whatever. They had a pretty, like, it was a fine date. She didn't cry.
Starting point is 01:23:55 So, so. soap box racing. They didn't cry. On their dinner, at their dinner, she talked about her parents' divorce and her dad leaving their family, which was very emotional. I mean, this poor girl, like her dad just up and moved to Mexico and abandoned her entire family. Peter starts crying, thinking about his grandmother being a single mom, you know,
Starting point is 01:24:14 raising his mom. Kelsey gets a rose. And then there was a great scene of Victoria F finding out that Alea was telling people about Chase Rice and she's got full red wine mouth and she's like I have some very choice words to say to Peter and he's going to fucking know who you are
Starting point is 01:24:35 good luck honey oh Victoria F oh baby it's hard like I said last episode it's hard to take anybody serious with the wine mouth because she's screaming I'm just staring at her mouth but I kind of I like I'm enjoying this go off Victoria F
Starting point is 01:24:51 even know I don't think I like Victoria F but I definitely don't like Victoria F, but I definitely don't like Alley. I don't think I do. Go off, Queen. I really don't know what's going on this season. Me either. I don't know. Truly don't have a clue. I mean, she it's like everybody has done something slightly weird. You're like, okay,
Starting point is 01:25:08 Alea could be right about Victoria P, but she's also ratting on Victoria F, but is Victoria P telling the whole thing is so confusing. This season is like succession. Every character is kind of fucked up. I was going to say... Fuck up things. But you kind of like them.
Starting point is 01:25:26 You kind of hate them at the same time. You're very confused, but the show is great. It weirdly gives them like a lot of depth in their characters. It's almost like when there is a straightaway villain, you're like, that's a bad person, that's a good person. This is almost more interesting because I don't know who's good and who's bad. And you never know what's... I do too. You never know what's going to happen when you have a person like Victoria P's saying like she's taking advantage of my kindness.
Starting point is 01:25:49 Then you're like, oh man. And then Victoria Pee... Who's right here? Are you that nice and she really is taking advantage of you? Who knows? Peter ended the episode just like absolutely lost. He's disheveled. He is so lost.
Starting point is 01:26:02 I tweeted, but he's going to look like Tom Hanks at the end of the last day at the end of this thing. Like, holy shit. He was like, I'm worried all these girls are just going to walk out. He should be worried about that because they might. It is so fitting that Peter ends up with stitches on his head in the season. It's so fitting. I was born in 94. Daddy drove a beat of Ford.

We're very excited It's been It's been a great start to 2020 We're excited to start it now
Starting point is 01:29:09 Even more our first interview with you How are you doing? I'm good, I'm good It's been a good year so far Yeah January feels like it's been Long Like three months
Starting point is 01:29:18 Way too long We keep saying that too It's just feels longer than usual It's so weird I actually rang in the new year In New York this year Wow I was on the show
Starting point is 01:29:30 with ball drops. How we know one of those. With Steve Harvey and it was the best day of my life. Did you like being in Times Square? Yeah, well, I've done it. That was my second time doing it. But this time I got to hang out with Steve Harvey,
Starting point is 01:29:46 which was the best day of my life. I posted this video of him talking about my voice. Literally, I'll never top it. Yeah. It's been a good 2020. So we're good. Like, do you don't think you'll ever meet somebody ever again that will like,
Starting point is 01:30:00 Top Steve Harvey. Okay, it's probably, I'm sorry, Steve Harvey, I have to take it back. It's my second best video of all time. Okay, what's the first one? The best video is at the CMAs, I believe, one of the award shows, and I sing Everybody with the Backstreet Boys. Wow. I have chills right now.
Starting point is 01:30:21 And then they go, yeah. Oh, it's, I'll cry. Oh, my God. I'm not kidding. I have goosebumps right now. That is amazing. It's on my Instagram. I'm going to have to look at it.
Starting point is 01:30:33 So you said you spent New Year's Eve in New York. A lot of people, like, they want to spend New Year's Eve in New York, but being from New York, I'm like, I do not want to be anywhere near Times Square. What was it really like being there in the atmosphere? Because some people that are not from New York, they're like dying to do this. I don't really feel like I got the fan. Right, right. You were standing in a pen for 12 hours.
Starting point is 01:30:54 With a diaper. Yeah. I've never wanted to do anything in my whole lifelong. I mean, bad enough to wear a diaper. Definitely not. Definitely not. Like camping out? Like I love Dolly Parton more than anything in this world.
Starting point is 01:31:06 I would not wear a diaper for Dolly. I'm sorry. I just wouldn't. Would you for the Jonas Brothers? I would think about it. I almost, I almost, I had a close call. I had a close call. Not, not wearing a diaper, but so they did a show in New York like a few months back.
Starting point is 01:31:25 And it was at Irving Plaza. I think. And so small place, and it was like a private show, Pandora show. And we had gotten in, and we had gotten right to the front lake up against the rail. And they didn't go on for four more hours. Like, it was like three or four more hours. And we ran right inside so fast. So, like, none of us stopped to pee.
Starting point is 01:31:49 We were already waiting outside in line to get in the first place. And my friends and I were just like, if it starts to come out, like, we just got to go with this. You got to let it come out. You were just going to pee your pants. Yeah, I was probably just going to pee my pants. Yeah. I didn't. To keep the spot.
Starting point is 01:32:05 I'll get to think about it. But it was like, it was. People probably do it for you and you don't realize. There's people pee in their pants. I have met you. I have met people with pee in their pants. Yeah, there you go. See, sometimes you, you can't lose your spot.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Like, if I had moved, the rule was if I had left my spot to go to the bathroom, they would have let another girl in because I was walking out. And then I would have to get back in line to get to my, and I wasn't, I wasn't, I wasn't There is no worse feeling than that feeling of having to pay really bad. It is. But then when you get really excited, you go. But then when you get really excited, you kind of forget. No, like once they came on stage, I...
Starting point is 01:32:40 Paid your pants. You probably did. And then it dried by the time you were done. There would be nothing better than you saying. And then they came on stage and I got really excited. And then I peed my pants. Just start telling people that. And not even just like a fake one where you use that to describe being really excited.
Starting point is 01:32:56 You're like, no, I really. My pants are actually wet. Yeah. All right. Well, I want to talk about because we were talking before we started the show about, we asked you if you watch The Bachelor. You mentioned how you don't really watch TV much, but you were on two competition shows that you're good at this. You are good at this. So you were on American Idol. I want to talk about like the behind the scenes of these shows because of course we see the final product. But what is it like actually being a contestant on this show? What are you allowed to do? Stress. Yeah. No, well, when I was on American Otto, I was 15 when I audition.
Starting point is 01:33:36 I turned 16 on the show. So, gosh, that was very great. We're like kind of around the same age, so I remember watching you and being like, this is crazy. I could never imagine doing this. I would say sophomore in high school. Yeah, that's insane. I was just like getting up there with that big hair and those cowgirl boots. But it was hard.
Starting point is 01:33:58 I mean, it's a lot to do, but I'm thankful for American Idol because I feel like it really prepared me for what I was going to happen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't know how to do interviews. I was just a small town girl from Rossville, and it really, like, taught me how to do everything. They taught me how to do interviews. They taught me how to be on camera and how to connect with people.
Starting point is 01:34:18 And it was good, but it was stressful, and I had to go to school every day. Right. See, I was about to ask that. What do you do? Because you were so young. And you think, oh, I'm about that. to be on American. I don't have to go to school, but then you do. Well, I homeschooled after that, and I still got to go to prom and stuff, but it was super weird because I, like, didn't know
Starting point is 01:34:37 the people in the class anymore. And you were like the kind of famous person now. It was very weird. It was weird. Not a really bad spray tan, but that's irrelevant. We've all been there. Yeah. My mom pictures are just like, I want them to go away forever. Oh, no. But I also secretly love them. I also want to make them my Facebook profile picture because they're that bad, you know, just to be funny. so American Idol and Dancing with the Stars were very different though experiences for me because I'm I've sang since I've been singing since I was three it's all I've ever wanted to do so as nerve-wracking as it was I there was like a level of comfort and a level of fear that was
Starting point is 01:35:19 they're very different yeah yeah dancing with stars I had no idea what I was to do at all you did great somehow have any dancing background before you're at the Stars no No. No classes ever. No. Well, one ballet class, maybe two when I was like four. That doesn't count. That definitely helped. I quit. Yeah. So I played softball, which really came in handy as a ballroom dancer. And then, no, I did do competitive cheerleading.
Starting point is 01:35:46 Wow. You know what? We're on the, I did one ballet dance. I'm not trying to like make this about me, but I did one ballet class and I quit because I felt like nobody wanted to be my friend. I played softball and I also did competitive cheerleading. Well, look at us. Just saying, best friends. I didn't do any of that. But I was, like, very athletic in a way that wasn't helpful to cheerleading, but I was able to toss the girls in a basket really. I brought different things to the team.
Starting point is 01:36:11 Exactly. But no, no. And I was in the back of the dance part of the routines, usually. So I thought it was because I was tall. I think it might have been because I wasn't. No, it's because you're tall. It's because you're tall. That's right.
Starting point is 01:36:24 It is. They put the short girls in the front, tall ones in the back. That's what it is. So then what made you want to do dance with stars? I sang on the show the season before, the season I did. And I just loved that environment. Like, I love to be on camera. I love, I connect with people very easily on camera.
Starting point is 01:36:47 Obviously, I built my career off of that. So it just felt like, I don't know, a good idea. They just asked, I met them. And I have like a really big personality. And I probably said embarrassing things. And they were like, we got to get this girl on the TV show. Because reality TV shows like crazy people like me. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:05 And then they called me. They said, would you be interested in doing the show? And I was like, sure. They called me the next season. I was not expecting it to be that quick of a call. But I'm really glad I did it. Yeah. I'm really glad I did it.
Starting point is 01:37:19 How did you feel when you were paired with that hunk of a man club? I was nervous when he went to. Friend loves dancing with the stars. Oh, me. I'm a massive Dancing with the Stars fan, yes. And we've talked to Nikki Glazer, who is also with Glenn. Yes, yes. She was a comedian.
Starting point is 01:37:39 She was talking about just like how hot he was. Yeah, he's not ugly for sure. I don't even know how his face looks like that, honestly. It's unbelievable, but it's like all of them. All of those guys. It's like required to be extremely attractive and Russian apparently. And also really good at dancing. Yeah, they are really good.
Starting point is 01:37:59 He's so good. He's great. He was great. How was he as a teacher? Tough. But we were really good for each other because he's very serious and stern and I am goofy. Almost all of the time. So I made him laugh and he made me be serious.
Starting point is 01:38:14 It was nice. That was good. Were there ever times that you just wanted to like quit the show or thought it was getting too hard or did you kind of just, you were just writing it out? Every single day. I wanted to quit that show. I broke. Yeah, you broke your ribs, right? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:38:30 I broke. How's that now? I fractured them. They're better now. They're healed now. Thank God. One of them still hurts me occasionally when I move a certain direction. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:37 I'm like, okay, it's just going to hurt forever. What can you do for that? Like, do you just have to wait? There's nothing. There's nothing. There's nothing. Yeah. That's so strange.
Starting point is 01:38:44 Day it's on national television once a week is what I did. It was very painful. That when I, when I, I fractured the first one the first week. Yeah. So I did the whole show with fractured ribs. What? But how was that allowed? Well, because.
Starting point is 01:39:01 Right? There's just nothing to do. If I actually broke it, I couldn't do it. Right. But I just had to like push through. And I couldn't like take pain medication or anything because I had to focus on the. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 01:39:12 So I was just, that would have been. I'm tough. That's what I'm really did. You are really tough. Let me tell you. I'm tough. I would have said I wasn't before. But now.
Starting point is 01:39:21 Extremely. And then when I hurt the three on this side, it was mid-competition. I thought there's literally no way. And I had like a cold at the time. So I was coughing. Yeah. It was so bad. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:39:34 My stomach is hurting. They should have given me the trophy just because of that. Yeah. I mean, that is extreme tolerance to pain. And I didn't want to talk about it on the show. You didn't. I mean, you didn't say it. Why?
Starting point is 01:39:46 You didn't say it until the end. You were like, by the way, I have four broken ribs. And everyone was like, I'm sorry, what? Why didn't you want to talk about it? I don't know because I just didn't. Well, the first. first one I really didn't but after the um I hurt the three on this side the show like brought it up because they were they didn't know if I was going to be able to do it yeah there was like one day where
Starting point is 01:40:06 I was like I genuinely don't think I can do it I was I literally thought that I was going to have to quit the competition but I did it but you did and you made it really far I know I made the finale I have two for two on those finale yes do you consider yourself a dancer now no Are you going to dance on tour? Well, I'm doing the Dancing with the Stars tour. And you dance in your music video. Yes, I feel like we did do that. I mean, I can't.
Starting point is 01:40:34 I will say, I went out recently to this place where people may or may not have been dancing. And a guy grabbed me to dance and I did much, much better than I would have done before. There you go. I did hear that. And I was like, oh, we can talk that. I actually know how to sauce that. So yes, I do know how to dance. But I would call myself a dancer.
Starting point is 01:40:53 Okay. My skill set has expanded. That's good. But I'm going to do the dancing with the Stars Tour. I do four dates. It's all I could do with my actual tour dates. And it's not until March. I'm like, I don't know if I'm going to remember anything in March, but we'll see.
Starting point is 01:41:09 I'll see it. So I have to admit, there was a time this season where I got really frustrated with the show because I, they're both going to laugh at me. But I can't not bring it up. You were fantastic. And there was people that I loved and thought were so great. But I'm like very frustrated with the voting process on the show because a lot of people can't vote.
Starting point is 01:41:32 Like the West Coast gets screwed. But the West Coast can, but you can't see it. You can, but you don't watch the dances. They're just voting because they like the person. I know. It's very weird. It got complicated where I was like, all right, I'm sad because there was a lot of great dancers who were cut short, I thought.
Starting point is 01:41:50 like well when I was on for American Idol yeah they like left the the voting closed yeah in every time time zone at midnight right whatever so whatever the time whatever time zone you lived in you could vote until midnight yeah yeah but I doesn't really make sense they used to do it um can only vote according to right yeah it's a little weird they used to do two nights and it was like competition and then the next night would be you know the elimination and so like then the voting was different but now it's all in one night, so it's all together. You have such a short window, but it was just, it was crazy to watch that finale. I feel like everybody really worked so hard this season.
Starting point is 01:42:34 Who was your, like, was there anybody you really bonded with? Allie Brick. Yeah. I think she and I will be friends forever. Oh, that's so nice. I mean, everyone was both. Saylor, Taylor went home too soon. She got sent home too soon, too.
Starting point is 01:42:48 That was ridiculous. I cried. hard that night. I loved her. I cried when she cried. I know. She was sobbing. I just talked to her yesterday. She's great. I love that girl. Would you do another competition show? Like I really know what else there is to do. I don't know. Give me some options. Give me some options. The Survivor. The challenge. I don't know. Survivor doesn't sound like a place. Maybe. The Bachelor. The Bachelor? No. Nope. I have never really watched The Bachelor until I'm at hand. So now I was like, I've got to watch this show. I've got to see what the show's about. And I knew she was going to be on it. Right.
Starting point is 01:43:27 Because when they filmed The Bachelor, she was on Dancing with the Stars with me. So I was like hearing through her things that were like happening. So I knew she had gone. And you were like, oh crap, there's some shit going down on the show. So I like heard Hannah's like perspective a little bit. We didn't talk about it much because all we talked about was the samba or the, we talked about dancing. It was like we were on our own little dancing with the stars bubble. But because she had to go do that, we kind of chatted about it.
Starting point is 01:43:57 And I had to see it on. She was like, it was terrible. I like how you're laughing right now. Like, I'm so mad. Because it's making me laugh thinking about how crazy this show. I have got to watch this. Yeah. And then I watched it and I was like, I like, I haven't watched it to the point where I didn't know
Starting point is 01:44:20 what was happening. You know when you watch the show for the first time and you're surprised by everything? And then Hannah came in and I was like, yeah. What is happening? It was the craziest part of the season so far. I would say the season is really crazy in itself. Everything is dramatic. But Hannah coming back was the biggest storyline so far. We really like fought on it for a while because we were like, oh, they're just, the producers are, it's a fake out. They want us to think she's going to come back. She's not going to come back. But then at the end, we were like, oh my God, is she going to join the cast? Was she doing this while she was on Dancing with the Stars the whole time?
Starting point is 01:44:56 Then we were like, that's crazy. She had been doing both. It would have been insane. It was really something. Yeah. It was interesting to hear like her perspective on it. I mean, she was like, yeah, he asked me to stay. And I was like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:45:13 Asked you to stay where? Yeah. I literally had not seen the show. All of my best friends watch it. Yeah. So I hear about it a little bit, but I'm never home. Yeah. And when I am home, I don't really want to sit on the couch and watch a show. It's a ginormous commitment. Except for you, I've just recently gotten into the show, you, and I'm like, oh my gosh, is this what me? Yeah, you can't stop watching that. That's an addictive one. For sure. But, yeah, I tuned in, and then Hannah's, like,
Starting point is 01:45:41 crying and the mascara. And I was like, this is amazing television. Yeah. It's phenomenal entertainment. Is it always like that? Yes. The producers of this show are how to control. Honestly, they're evil geniuses. I just saw this meme in the car on the way over here. Peters's his name, right? Yes.
Starting point is 01:46:01 It said, Breaking News, Peter's like taking a break from the girls and chatting with the producers at the show. And it was like a shark tank. Sharks like swimming in it. It's the perfect way to describe it, honestly. On Monday's episode, Peter took a girl on a date who happened to have dated Chase Rice. Who is a friend of mine? Yeah, I was going to ask you. And she's heard about this.
Starting point is 01:46:28 I did not get to see that. And Chase has to sing to Peter and her dancing. She was like the nicest guy of all times. She was singing the words to the song. Peter was like, you know the words. It was terrible. Yeah. And there's...
Starting point is 01:46:40 She was like, yeah, I don't know the words. Yep. Oh, boy, do I know the words. Rumors whether or not she actually dated him. Who knows. he's saying they didn't, the drama does not stop. The drama does not stop. I'm calling him. I will say if I can let you guys inside.
Starting point is 01:46:53 Just give us a little bit. Just give us a little hint. Just a little bit. I am dying to know. Definitely calling him. I think he's like touring in Europe right now, but I'll give him a, I'll shoot a text. Yeah, do it. Um, keep going. Go ahead. Yeah. Um, I wanted to talk about your music and your tour. So you're on tour right now. You performed at the Bowery last night. How's that going? It was my seventh sold out show in a row. We've sold out every show. Amazing. Amazing. So, thank you. I've never headlined.
Starting point is 01:47:20 I've been opening up, but because I was like on some of the best tours. I've been out with like Shelton and Jackson Aldein and Luke Ryan. When these, when the country stars do these mega tours like this, like everybody, to me when I see it, I'm like all of those people are headliners. Like when it's like Blake Shelton and Lauren Land. Like all these people that they're all headliners. But there is like a sense of security for the spot that I was playing in because. everybody's going to go and see Blake Shelton. So it's like we're not worried that people aren't coming to the show.
Starting point is 01:47:52 You know? And so it was very scary for me nine years, almost 10 years in to be like, okay, let's do it by ourselves. And we've sold out every show so far. And we're about halfway there. We're only doing like 13 dates because we are going out with Lake Shelton in March. So we're doing this now. And then we're doing a Canadian tour.
Starting point is 01:48:16 and I mean all kinds of I know I looked at the schedule and I was like And you're releasing music Late tour Yes we saw that you're gonna have an EP out Because you said you're performing new music And I'm like no one can download the songs I was like this isn't a good plan
Starting point is 01:48:32 But I'll put them in the set Because I'm dying for people to hear them And I'm sure people are asking for them You hear a song live that you love You're like hello I get asked every day of my life When the third album's coming out So we were like, well, we've recorded like six songs.
Starting point is 01:48:49 Yeah. So I was like, we'll just put an EP out with the songs that we're already done and finish up the album this year and put it out. So that's March 6th? March 6th. Yes. I love that. Very exciting.
Starting point is 01:49:00 That is so exciting. All right, Lauren, we are so happy to have you on the show. This was so fantastic. You are, you're going to be on tour. You said you have a bunch of shows left. I believe Boston is next, then Philly. And then we're going to Columbus, Ohio. Amazing.
Starting point is 01:49:16 Richmond, Virginia. Right. Chat, New Guinea, Tennessee. I don't know why I forgot that one. That's where I'm from. Sorry. Shout out, Rossville, Georgia. What's up?
Starting point is 01:49:27 It's very close to. Yes. And then Atlanta. Amazing. So if you guys are in that area, check out your shows. Go by tickets. Lainaofficial.com.
Starting point is 01:49:37 Shamedless plug. Hell yeah. Love a good plug. Thank you again. Thank you so much. This is great. All right. That wraps up today's episode.
Starting point is 01:49:46 next week is going to be a great one, guys. Like we said in the beginning, Peter will be on this show. It's going to be huge. We hope you have a fantastic weekend, and we'll talk to you guys on Monday. If it's Friday, you know I'll be kicking back with the boys down at Santa's pub. Don't hesitate.
Starting point is 01:50:03 Don't even think about waiting. I'll just type it up. Yeah, I'm ready. If you're ready, you're wondering. Stop thinking. Hit's in. Doesn't matter if it's last call from a late night's sidewalk. Little too buzz a little too drunk
Starting point is 01:50:18 You could have your hair down all curled up on the couch And the quiet ain't loud enough It could be a.m. or P.m., It could be middle of the week or the weekend, baby. Just call me because I'm lonely If you are, if you are, yeah. Yeah, I'm lonely if you are, if you are, if you are, yeah. Yeah, I'm lonely if you are, if you are, yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:45 Yeah, I'm lonely if you are. Monday and it's over. You know the show your girls all come over for. And the red wine's getting lower. And your last friend's out the door. When there's no more roses to go around, hit me up, girl, you know I'm down. Doesn't matter if it's last call from a late night's sidewalk. Little two buzz, a little too drunk.
Starting point is 01:51:09 You could have your hair down all cur. It could be middle of lonely. Right out of you. Right out of you. If you're out there and lonely, girl, I'm lonely too. So let me love the lonely right out of you. Doesn't matter if his life's called. I laid my sidewalk.
