Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is... What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Woo-hoo! And Friday energy, it is that we have indeed.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Francesca got her haircut and a little color, and it's looking fabulous. Feel ready for summer. It is very, it's a little late in the summer, but. It's very summer chic. Yeah, I just, I loved the long hair for a while. But I have, I normally have shorter hair. Yeah, I liked the longer hair a lot. I know, I went long for a while because I just had not done it like since high school.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Yeah. And it was nice. I liked it until it started to get like 85 degrees and 90% humidity in New York. And I would walk to work and I would, by the time I got to the office, it's like, like it's glued to my neck. I'm like it's so long, it takes so long to do. And when I would put it up,
Starting point is 00:01:15 it's like, I don't like putting up my hair all the time. So going short, I like it. I like it all. My little red, reddish vibe. Yes, very,
Starting point is 00:01:24 very cute. And, you know, I think it was because we both saw Hannah G G last week and your cut looks so cute. And Fran and I both looked at each other. And Fran was like, I think I have my hair like that. And I said,
Starting point is 00:01:35 I think you have to as well. I was like, I'm cutting my hair. It looks so good. She definitely inspired the haircut. I was like, I got to get a move on this. And tonight is our office happy hour. It is.
Starting point is 00:01:48 It is. Cute outfit on. My voice is finally back. What's going to happen? Probably not tomorrow. It comes back right in time for the weekend. This feels like the summer of me sleeping on Fran's couch. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I texted Fran this morning. I was like, can I sleep over again? She's like, yeah. Come on over. But we have our company. Happy Hour, and we haven't had one since Christmas of 2019. So it's been a while since we've had one of these. And they usually get pretty rowdy here at Barstool.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Yeah, they do. Not from us, but just like... They're always a really great dynamic, just because the content people, I think, do get to see each other out more, drinking more. We hang out with each other more. Yeah, it's just like a little bit more social. And we know all the business people just like in the work setting. We don't necessarily know them as well in a social setting. So when it's everyone combined, you really get to know everybody. You get to see everybody's true colors. It is always a treat. And I will say I was here the first
Starting point is 00:03:03 party we ever had in New York. Yeah. The first party they ever did. And it was at the old office and it was just people were just sitting around playing beer pong there was like maybe 20 people it was something graduated from like a frat party to like a rooftop NYC rooftop it was unbelievable and the thing is
Starting point is 00:03:22 I feel like content and sales used to be way closer like when it was just one floor right I mean old office also like there was only like a hundred full time employees we've like almost tripled that size so I feel like people used to hang out more content and sales. Now it is not that way at all. And there's some people that we haven't even
Starting point is 00:03:43 met yet. Right. And especially with COVID, just because like there's content. Like we've met a lot of people that were hired during that time. But COVID, like we have a bunch of new employees on the business side that a lot of us haven't met because they have been working from home. And now because everybody's coming back to the office, it's like, oh, now we're actually like seeing all these new people for the first time and seeing everyone in a setting like this, which, you know, as Eric says boost company morale. It boosts company morale and also lowers it because the next day everyone's like what the fuck did I do. Every time we have one, I feel like people are like, oh, well now we're like more of a real company and like people aren't going to get that crazy
Starting point is 00:04:19 and that people do. Without fail, somebody gets the drunkest, somebody gets the sloppiest. Yeah. Every time without fail. And I'm excited to see who it is tonight. It could be anybody. It's up in there. It is your predictions. It is truly a like you could put all the names in the hat and just pick one and that would be like the person. There's a couple who are like guaranteed who just you know, everybody always knows. But I will say when people talk about the company parties
Starting point is 00:04:47 online, like when people talk about on Twitter, you always see people writing oh, this person's going to get the drunkest, this person's going to get the junkest. And it's always the content people are talking about obviously because they don't know the salespeople. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's never the content people who get... I don't know about never. Not never, but it has been. Definitely not never. Definitely has been. We all know that.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Yeah. But a lot of the times, it's not. Look. Video department stand up. Yeah. Shout out the producers. It's usually Noah. We had to carry Noah out once.
Starting point is 00:05:18 It was wild. I'm just kidding. Noah gets crazy. You didn't carry me out. It's hilarious. I'll never get one. I stuck his hand down my throat in the bathroom. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Oh, one time I probably don't even know the store. We had a company party that no one maybe had too much to drink. I know, but if people who are maybe are jumping in, they haven't heard it. This was what, 2018, 2018? 2019? Maybe like summer, maybe it was the summer 2019 one.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Yeah, probably. And I just remember, I forget who it was who came up to me like towards the end of the night who was just like, Noah's just like down and I was like,
Starting point is 00:05:50 that's unfortunate for whoever it is. Can I say that? It was, that was my favorite, I think, company party for so many reasons. There was so many funny things
Starting point is 00:05:59 that happened that night. But I remember because I, they tried to kick me out the people who ran like the place. I was like hitting my pen just in the middle of the bar. The bar.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Yeah. So I used to live with Caleb's roommate. I used to live with Caleb's girlfriend. And Noah lived above us. So we were leaving the, we were going to leave the party. And Caleb and Noah were both fucked up. And they were screaming at me. And they were screaming at me.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And they were like, they were like, Ria, we're coming home with you tonight. And like, we went to the diner. Yeah. Oh my God. But other people. that didn't know that dynamic I'm talking about the sales marketing they were like Ria what
Starting point is 00:06:41 like are you okay because they were both like we're coming home with you tonight and it sounded so weird on the outside being like why is Noah and Caleb saying they're coming home with Ria might have been drunker than me
Starting point is 00:06:53 by the time you guys were both wild and we went to the diner I consistently leave these things early yes you do that's a smart move yeah well you're the last if you're like there when it's closing that's a bad side
Starting point is 00:07:04 you don't want to be the last one need a company party. But I'm sleeping at France tonight. So whatever Fran does, I will do. Yeah. Or that's going to go the other way. Whatever I do, you will do. Yeah. Like either, I have a feeling it's more like, really, you're going to be like, well, we're going to go here. And I'm like, well, you're staying at my apartment. So I got to go with you. Listen, babes. I got to stop saying babes, but it's fun. Yeah. Sounds like, you know, it's Hollywood babes. Yep. If you don't want to go anywhere after, we won't go anywhere after. But I know Franny 80 packs when she gets a couple of drinks and a couple of sakes in her, she wants to go out on the town.
Starting point is 00:07:39 She'll be like, let's go here, let's go there. She says that now, but she'll be the one wanting to go out later. Probably. It will be fun, though. It'll be a good time. But we'll be on our best behavior, maybe. We'll see what happens. It should be fun.
Starting point is 00:07:55 But I feel like people listening to this are probably experiencing the same thing now because things are opening back up and companies are probably like, let's do a happy hour. everyone hasn't seen each other and then it's just fucking madness after that there's all the companies out there that like continue to do happy hours virtually for
Starting point is 00:08:14 that's got to end in COVID that has to fucking end yeah if you're still doing going back to in person if you're still doing a virtual happy hour I got nothing to say to you just couldn't get the most out of hand just because it's been so long and people are like bottled up like all this and think about the people who have
Starting point is 00:08:29 who have never kids and are married and they're like oh we we have had haven't gone out a while. This is a night out. This is a night out on the town. Yep, exactly. Some people wait all year for this party. All year. All year. All right. Anyways, we're excited. It'll be fun. But we also hope everyone has a great weekend as well. Go out. Have yourself a night or maybe actually you're going to be listening on Friday. So maybe you did have a night last night. Anyways, let's get into the topics for today. We will be going through all of the things that Britney
Starting point is 00:09:00 Spears said at her court hearing. Very sad, emotional stuff. We're going to dive all. into that. Asap, Rocky, and Rihanna were seen out in New York City and some of the best pictures I've ever seen of a couple in my entire life. I'm so giddy just thinking about it. We also have a Jennifer Aniston, Howard Stern, interview, a deep dive
Starting point is 00:09:20 into that because a lot of information was revealed. And Tristan and Chloe broke up again. Yeah. Breaking news. That happened. And we got a great interview with Love Island season one stars Elizabeth and Alex. Yes, we do. They're great. And I think they're going to our new best friends because already Alex's DM me.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I've laid the groundwork down for us already. Yes, you have. Elizabeth liked all of my pictures yesterday. Amazing. She went back and liked all of them. Then I went back and liked all of hers. I was like, oh, this is a treat. So nice.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So nice. I saw the commenting on like all the 300 stuff too. Yep. They're both great. We're going to go to L.A. and hang out with them eventually. They don't know that yet. They don't know. Actually, no, they do.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Me Alex, we're talking about this. I was going to say, are we just. No, no, no. Alex and I talked about this. You did tell me this. Yes, yes, yes. So we, one day that'll happen. Anyways, let's get into it starting off with Britney Spears.
Starting point is 00:10:08 We're going to get into the whole hearing from yesterday, hearing from Britney Spears and what she had to say. But like Ria said, we're having a little sleepover tonight. You know, company party, Ria staying over. Just so happens that Joe won't be home. So great news for you, Ria. You get to sleep in my bed with me. On your helix mattress? My Helix sleep mattress, my mattress I am obsessed with.
Starting point is 00:10:36 It is so, so great. I have got a king-sized bed. It's the midnight lux. It's so comfortable. Like, I just love having a mattress where you just have to worry about the mattress. You know, sometimes you get a mattress, then you got to get a mattress topper. Then you got to get something else because it's not soft enough or firm enough or whatever it is that you have to adjust. The helix mattresses are so amazing.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Like I said, I have the midnight luller. It's thick. I fit into it perfectly. I took the quiz, which is so easy to do. It takes just two minutes to complete. It matches your body type and sleep preferences to the perfect mattress for you. Joe and I both took it. So we can make sure that we were picking a mattress.
Starting point is 00:11:19 That is best for us. They have soft, medium, firm mattresses, matches that are great for cooling you down. If you sleep hot and even a Helix Plus mattress for plus-sleepers. I took the Helix quiz. Like I said, more of a medium feel. I sleep on my side.
Starting point is 00:11:35 So I got matched with the midnight mattress. And if you want to take this quiz and get the mattress of your dreams and be sleeping like a baby, like Ray and I are going to be sleeping tonight, you need to hop on it. Go to helix sleep.com slash chicks, take their two-minute sleep quiz, and they'll match you to a customized mattress that will give you the best sleep of your life. They have a 10-year warranty and you get to try it out for 100. nights risk-free. They'll even pick it up for you if you don't love it, but you will. It's also one of those great ones that comes right in the box. It was so easy for me to just open up and the mattress
Starting point is 00:12:11 inflated and came out of the plastic and I was good to go. Fits in my room perfectly. Helix is offering up to $200 off all mattress orders and two free pillows for our listeners at helix sleep.com slash chicks. That's Helix H-E-L-I-Sleep.com slash chicks for up to $200 off and two free pillows. The court date that we had been waiting for for months now has finally come and gone. Brittany Spears was heard by a judge and the audio and the things that have come out that Britney is revealing about her life is incredibly sad and heartbreaking. And jaw-dropping.
Starting point is 00:12:53 I really, we had a legitimate conversation about like, what if she doesn't say anything? Like, what if it's not really any kind of big reveal or it's very vague? It was not. She spoke for, I think it was like 23 minutes, over 20 minutes. And she laid it all out there. Like she did not hold back. She confirmed truly what we've all been thinking that she has been. trapped in this life and totally under control by the conservatorship and her dad and not having
Starting point is 00:13:31 any really leeway or freedoms on her own. And you can listen to the whole thing. I'm pretty sure it's still on YouTube if you want to listen to it. But reading all of it, listening to it, I did laugh at the beginning because the judge was like, I'm sorry, Ms. Spears, like, you're going to have to slow down a little bit. Like she's a fast talker. You hear her when she talks on her Instagram and you're like she's speaking a mile a minute that's how she was kind of sounding on the phone she was not there in person it was over the phone it did sound prepared kind of like like she's reading oh i think she had i think she had notes prepared on her i think she was reading or had notes prepared or something because there were multiple times that she paused and it kind of seemed like
Starting point is 00:14:09 maybe she lost her place and looked for she's like oh this is what i wanted to say she went back um but we can go through a lot of this but she like was so forced to perform, to make appearances, to make money, and then just didn't have any responsibility over her own life. I can't do anything. Yeah, I think the biggest takeaway from the whole thing was that she was being controlled and manipulated in every aspect of her life. She said that she has an IUD placed in her so that she can't have babies and they won't let her go to the doctor to get it checked out and to take it out. You know, she wants to have a family and she with her new boyfriend she can't do any of that she just basically over and over again said
Starting point is 00:14:57 how controlled she is and she has she said that she wants to remind them that they work for her but they are acting like she works for them yeah and jamie spears is basically just an evil dictator and i have to say terrible person jamie terrible person the whole family is fucked up though because what about jami lynn spears the sister of saying like my whole family's done nothing like nobody's done anything out. Clearly because Jamie Lynn Spears has been in interviews, I think even our own, saying that Brittany was fine. And that is absolutely terrible that you see them covering it up and they must be afraid of Jamie, obviously. And I'm also scared for Britney because she is still under Jamie's control. So now that she put this all out there, what happens? Is she in the home with him? Is he there? It's a very scary situation. I feel so bad for her because in the audio, you can hear the real Britney Spears. You can hear the pain in her voice And you can hear that it's actually her Whereas on Instagram lately
Starting point is 00:15:56 You can tell that that was not how she's actually feeling It sounded so fake Right which is what she said She was like I've been lying to everyone I've been lying to the world I didn't think anybody would believe me She kind of thought if she spoke up She wouldn't know
Starting point is 00:16:10 And it also just seems like She has been kept in the dark a lot And not given facts And when she asked people for advice Or information they're not giving it to her or they're telling her the wrong things she literally said i did not know it was even an option for me to like petition to end my conservatorship like she was like i just thought this was something i was going to have forever she apologized because it's like look i i i didn't
Starting point is 00:16:34 i just i i didn't know right i think that if the judge doesn't appeal this conservatorship the judge is also at fault well now it's just because it turns into a whole legal thing so the steps are because right now like the the the case why wasn't to end the whole thing. It was to remove Jamie. But now, like, she, I saw a couple posts about how, like, now it's like, you got to move. You got to, she needs to get a new lawyer potentially. I think because, like, she was never even allowed to hire her own attorney in the first place.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And then petition to end the conservatorship, which could take a very long time because, like she said, a family member can, basically like object to that. Like a family member could say like she's unfit for that. But and then that's how. How fucked up is that though? It is and that's how the conservatorship system works, which is why the conservatorship is a fucked up system. It's really fucked up.
Starting point is 00:17:36 It makes me very sad because a family member who's clearly controlling her can step in and say no, she's unfit. But I think Brittany sounded very aware. Like she's like, I don't want to be examined again to come. Like she's like, I know that I'm okay. Like I feel like Trying to have it end Without having to do that
Starting point is 00:17:52 The only reason She's not okay at this point Is because she's being controlled Yeah And the The stories she was sharing Were so heartbreaking too It's like after she was doing
Starting point is 00:18:01 This Vegas situation And just working her ass off And performing under these crazy conditions And when she finally was like I'm done with this I'm not doing anymore She told her assistant And then after she had said
Starting point is 00:18:13 No Her therapist She said her therapist sat her down in a room Said he had a million phone calls about how Brittany was not cooperating in rehearsals and that she hadn't been taking her medication. And Britney said all of this was false.
Starting point is 00:18:28 But the therapist immediately the next day put her on lithium out of nowhere. And she said that he took her off. The normal meds that she had been on for five years, lithium is very, very strong, totally different medication. Like, if you're on lithium for too much, it fucks you up forever. Like, it's really a crazy thing.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Like, you can really mentally hurt, yourself for being on that drug for so long. She wrote, he put me on that and I felt drunk. I really couldn't even take up for myself. I couldn't even have a conversation with my mom or dad really about anything. I told him I was scared and my doctor had me on six different, had me with six different nurses with this new medication. Come to my home. Stay with me to monitor me on the medication, which she never wanted to be on to begin with. She wasn't allowed to get her car go anywhere for a month. And then she did not only did my family not, and she, you know, she cursed a few times, which I don't know why that had like a harder effect on me, but like she said,
Starting point is 00:19:22 not only did my family not do a goddamn thing, my dad was all for it. Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad. And my dad acted like he didn't know that I was told I had to be tested over the Christmas holidays before they sent me away when my kids went home to Louisiana. He was the one who approved all of it. My family did nothing. And, you know, oh man, it went on. Like I said, She continued to talk about it for a long time. She said, like I said before, that's why I'm telling you this again two years later after I lied and told the whole world I'm okay and unhappy. It's a lie.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I thought I just maybe said that enough. I just maybe, sometimes it's like I just, I thought I just maybe said enough to make everyone happy because I've been in denial. I've been in shock. I'm traumatized. You know, fake until you make it. But now I'm telling you the truth, okay? I'm not happy.
Starting point is 00:20:08 I can't sleep. I'm so angry. It's insane. And I'm depressed. I cry every day. She talked about how, like, her management company was, would hound her for like every little thing. She referenced, you know, Miley Cyrus is on stage smoking joints and like doing shit. And like any time she, any, any little thing set off everyone, everything for her.
Starting point is 00:20:31 And has just toured her body. She compared herself to sex trafficking. She was like, my body has been under control of my dad for the past third. 13 years. She said my precious body was worked for my dad for the past fucking 13 years trying to be so good and pretty, so perfect when he works me so hard. When I do everything I'm told in the state of California allowed my father, ignorant father, to take his own daughter, who only has a role with me if I work with him. They've set back the whole course and allowed him to do that to me.
Starting point is 00:21:01 That's given these people I've worked for way too much control. They also threaten me and said, if I don't go, then I have to go to court and it will be more embarrassing to me if the judge publicly makes the evidence we have, saying like you have to go. So like you said, the whole thing, anytime people always say like, oh, why, why hasn't she said anything? Why doesn't she just publicly say what's going on? It's because she has all these people in her life telling her, if you say this, we're taking you to court. You're going to be embarrassed in front of the entire world. You're going to make your case and the judge is going to say no, and it's going to be terrible for you. And she's never been able to actually say anything.
Starting point is 00:21:38 thing and now she's actually able to speak and talk and it's terrible the whole thing is sickening to even hear about i know so i can't imagine being brittney spears in this position i just can somebody go like kidnap brittany spears and set her free like can we go get brittany spears and then bring her to the bahamas or something and set her free like how do we how do we get a wild it's like yeah let's kidnap her for good for good uh reason and then set her free because I just, the whole thing is so incredibly heartbreaking because
Starting point is 00:22:14 you can tell that she is okay. But she's not okay. Jimmy Spears is one of the worst human beings. She seems like if she can just be on her own or not under the dictatorship of her father. And she has to still continue to take care of herself. She's like, look, I see a therapist twice a week.
Starting point is 00:22:30 I want to see a therapist once a week and I want that therapist to come to my house so I don't have to deal with driving and paparazzi and everything. She's like, Lord, no, she made a joke. I know I know I need therapy. Like, I know I need a therapy, but like, she's like, I just wanted to be on my own terms. Nothing in her life is on her own terms. That really just sucks to just have your whole life. You just have no control of your life. And you're Britney Spears, but you just have no control of your life because your dad is evil. What's the situation with her mom? I feel like I know nothing about her mom. It's hard. So Lynn Spears, like the news is always kind of portrayed it as Lynn wanting to protect
Starting point is 00:23:08 Brittany, but now finally speaking up against the dad, no. I'm sure the dad has control over everybody though in some way, but still, it's no really excuse. I mean, this is what I'm just saying, like the power that
Starting point is 00:23:26 Jamie has had and I think has been able to yield over his entire, wield over his entire family. I'm just thinking of all the trauma through the years of this entire family probably just doing and listening to
Starting point is 00:23:42 every single thing that Jamie Spears tells them? People don't talk about it enough that Jamie Lynn was named after Jamie and Lynn Spears. So they got... It's very weird. Lynn and Jamie got divorced 2002.
Starting point is 00:23:56 So they've been divorced for a very long time. Oh, so like before any of this stuff. Yeah, yeah, way longer. Way longer. Interesting. Yeah. But I mean, now... Right.
Starting point is 00:24:04 So now the headlines is like, Britney Spears' mom concerned, Britney Sears' mom is very concerned after court hearing. So maybe she's like not in it. She doesn't know what's going on. It sort of seems like it, but I don't know. I'm sure he's lying to her and then how much is Brittany telling? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:20 So Lynn's attorney said she's a very concerned mother. The attorney also reportedly took a moment to address the court and wanted it known on the record that Lynn's seconds her daughter's wishes and wanted to make sure that the court took Britney's concern seriously. She said, I first want to say this was very courageous. of Ms. Spears, one thing I want to raise with the court is when she was there in May 2019 that she didn't feel like she was heard. I feel we need to make sure today that she was heard. Jones, who's Lynn's attorney, also implored Brittany's team to put together a health plan immediately and to not leave the court without a new plan in place, stating today is a day while the world watches while we listen to Ms. Spears that we put in place a plan. That is her
Starting point is 00:24:57 mother's request, that we not leave the court without having a plan. So, look, at the end of the day, I think this is where it like comes down to. I think Lynn and some of her family members don't fully trust Britney to be on her own completely. Like I just, I think that they don't trust her to totally be, not necessarily be in charge of her own life. It's just so, it's two extremes. Like, it's totally making decisions on your own and maybe stop taking your meds
Starting point is 00:25:28 and doing whatever you want and whatever. Like, I feel like that's what her, like Lynn doesn't want to happen. The conservatorship where she's locked down so hard. and it's so bad also doesn't want that to happen want some kind of middle ground but how does how does that happen?
Starting point is 00:25:44 How does one get that? How does one get that? Somebody has to like live in the house with Brittany and... Right, it's like how do they make sure that she's okay without having this constant control? I weirdly think that you know, after the 2008
Starting point is 00:25:58 and everything that happened that her mom was probably like well at least we know that she's being watched after and like, you know but now it's taken an extreme an extreme turn. Like that was one incident that people still look back on. And maybe there were a couple others.
Starting point is 00:26:13 But it was a lot. There was a lot of incidents. But who doesn't have, if you are Britney Spears and you're looking back now at everything that has happened in her life and everyone hounding her, can you blame the girl for going absolutely nuts? No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:26:28 But that was so long ago. Like, it just is like... It also just depends on, like you said, the family, like you have this terrible person as your father who took it, who saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. Yeah, he just saw a money machine and just took it, which is terrible. But hopefully something comes from this in a positive way for Brittany. I think now everybody, everybody is aware that what everything, everything that was being said about her is true. Because I remember a time where people were like, and this is why
Starting point is 00:26:58 everyone should just form their own opinions, because I remember there was a time when everybody on the internet was like, guys, guys, we can't assume things about Brittany. Like, it's really rude to assume that she's not okay. Yeah. And it's like, well, she clearly wasn't okay. Yeah. And people were picking up on it. Yeah. But that was like a little thing for a little while that was going around. Everyone was like, no, no, we can't assume she's not okay. Right, right. It's like, well, clearly she wasn't. So people were on the right track. Yeah. Definitely. So there are some pretty clear, there is some points that have to be made. Like I said, I think after this now, there is a way for them to petition. But if a family member says, no, no, I think it drags on for a pretty long time. So I hope that Brittany is at least happy
Starting point is 00:27:44 with the world hearing her story and being on her side. Because I think she has never, she has not felt that for a really long time. Asap, Rocky and Rihanna were seen photographed around New York City. They were going to barcade. And the photos that we received of them are, unbelievable. Some of the best pictures I've seen of a couple in a long time and I may just be saying that because I love these two and they're my favorite couple ever.
Starting point is 00:28:12 But they look unreal. First of all, both of them have the best style which is one of the reasons I love the both of them and they look so happy. They look so in love. Yeah, they do. They do. They really do. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. Because I just love when, because the same thing with
Starting point is 00:28:30 Haley and Justin Bieber. I was such a big fan of Haley Bieber before she was with Justin. Back, 2014 I'm talking. I was like, Haley Bieber, I loved following her on Instagram. And then when the whole thing happened with her and Justin in 2015, I was rooting for Haley. I was like the only one because everyone was rooting for Selena.
Starting point is 00:28:46 And then for years, I was like Haley and Justin, Haley and Justin, boom. Haley and Justin together. Aesab Rocky and Rihanna, I've also been rooting for for years. Ever since Fashion Killer came came out, I was like, Aesap Rocky and Rihanna. Forget Drake. Like, Drake is a little too much of, you know, what?
Starting point is 00:29:04 Nothing. You know what? I'm not even going to go there. No, no, no, no. I was going to say Drake. Now you got to say it. Listen, I was going to say Drake is a little wimpy for Rihanna, but I will also say that ASEAP Rocky is like very pretty and I wouldn't call him wimpy, but.
Starting point is 00:29:18 But if Drake and Rihanna got together, that would be like instantly the biggest couple in the world. You know what? Like wait, like so much bigger than A sap. I know if like I love Aesab. They would obviously be the biggest couple ever, but ASab Rocky is infinitely cooler than Drake. And I love Drake. Drake is, love Drake. I have nothing against Drake.
Starting point is 00:29:37 My top Spotify guy this year was Drake. I got nothing against him. Guys goes, guys, my top Spotify guy. Please, please, please. I can't say anything bad about Emmys number one. I'm not a Drake later at all. If you could only listen to one of the, like, their music for the rest of your life, who would it be, A.
Starting point is 00:29:52 A.S.A. or Drake. Just curious. It would be Drake, but I love a, like, here's the thing. If you were going to ask me my favorite rapper, I'm saying A.Sap Rocky. but Drake has a more Asap Rocky is the prettiest motherfucker alive He said it himself He's so sexy is unbelievable
Starting point is 00:30:11 But remember when he was like stuck in Oh, in jail in Sweden? He was stuck in jail in Sweden That really gets pushed under the rug That was like a wild time It was crazy but see what I'm saying? Bad boy Yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:30:23 The thing between picking between their music For the rest of my life I can only listen to one Is that Drake has so many more songs with so many more people. Like there's a whole... There's a whole variety. He's more like bangers. Well, because you got slow, you got fast,
Starting point is 00:30:37 you got rap, you got singing, more variety. So if I had to pick one, it would be him. But Aesap Rocky is my favorite rapper. Aesap Rocky's music videos are the coolest music videos. LSD is one of the coolest music videos. All his music videos are great. He puts a lot of effort into all of them. He's an artiste.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Yes, he is an artiste. Very creative artiste. Renaissance man. I said, Remember when I said Maybe, maybe. That was the whole reason the conversation started.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Well, we were talking about The Bachelor and I said Sick thought I was in the car and I was listening Aesap Brocky and I thought, what if Aesab Rocky died today? And I had to go on the podcast and talk about it. How would I talk about him? And I said, Aesap Brockie, he was a Renaissance man. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:21 But on top of that, Rihanna. Oh, man. You can't even put into words, Rihanna. Pink giant fluffy hat. She looks so great. What I love, I also like, you said love seeing them look so happy
Starting point is 00:31:33 like Rihanna had this giant smile he had this giant smile we saw a video of them they were struggling to get into barcaded they wouldn't even let them into the bar. It was unreal the bouncer was like can I see IDs and I think Rihanna mounts like I'm Rihanna and then what possibly
Starting point is 00:31:50 is yelling at the bouncer and it makes you feel better about your life because I will say I was trying to get into a bar last week and we had a table but they were still like I was like, I said the guy's name and they were like, we don't know who that is you know classic but they do
Starting point is 00:32:05 And then we had to wait and then finally we got it figured out But you're standing there and it's embarrassing at first Yeah But then you remember that you stop Rocky In like 10 years Yeah also if you're like for some background Barcade Is literally a bar in New York City
Starting point is 00:32:22 That just has like all old arcade games inside Like it's fun It's the it is it is but you know If you don't know what we're talking about. They were just going for like a casual evening. Like it wasn't like they were going to some club or something like that where it's like instant recognition.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Barcade. Everybody goes. Like I laughed. I was like, what the fuck are Rihanna and Asab Rocky doing going to Barcane? What would you have done if you were in Barcade? I literally would have poop my pants. Or you like look out.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Joe and I were talking about Barcade on Tuesday night. Like Joe, we were talking about the things that are like around our neighborhood. He was like, oh, Fran, Barcade. You love Barcade. I was like, I do. You look out like the front and you see them getting denied. I wouldn't even ask them for a picture out of respect. You should have been like, hey, let them in.
Starting point is 00:33:06 They're with me. I love them so much. I wouldn't even bother them. Ria's coming in like punching the balancer in the face. Like, don't you know who they are? Imagine I fucking welled up. Oh my gosh. I can't get enough of these two.
Starting point is 00:33:18 I feel like I know them personally. I know nothing. I don't know them at all. But Twitter also got to the bottom. Twitter also said that Rihanna had like a shark tattoo on her ankle that she had with Drake. And she has now covered that. It's now gone. It's covered.
Starting point is 00:33:33 It's a crown. It goes all the way around her ankle now. Drake has to be so upset with Aesap Rocky because they were friends. Yeah. I'm pretty sure Drake took Aesap Rocky out on tour when Aesop Rocky was first starting out. Or I don't know if I had that way. I wouldn't know that. I have to double check that.
Starting point is 00:33:48 You can't blame. If you're Drake, you can't blame Aesabroaki. No, you can't. No. That's what I'm saying. Like Drake can be mad, but he also can't be mad because it's like, hey. It's like, yeah, I'm not going to take you. If Rihanna falls in love.
Starting point is 00:33:59 with you. What are you supposed to tell her no? Hey, sorry, I'm friends with Drake. I can't. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. The only thing Rihanna wins that battle every time. Rihanna never was wanting to be seen in public with Drake. Like, remember on stage when that whole thing
Starting point is 00:34:17 happened, it was so uncomfortable. Yeah, that video is one of the most uncomfortable Drake wanted to kiss her and it was very uncomfortable. Terrible. But she's beaming ear to ear with Aesop Rocky. Oh, so I'm trying to look. Drake did come out for Aesop Rocky's concert in two
Starting point is 00:34:31 2019. I thought we were going way back. No, no, no. I'm saying I'm pretty sure who brought ASAP Rocky on tour. It might not have been Drake, but. Either way, they were, you know, fucking problem is a great song. Yeah, it's a great song. But I want to find, I'll look up after.
Starting point is 00:34:50 I guess it doesn't make any. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. But, yes, they definitely had enough of a relationship. Yeah, they definitely did. They were friends. But, I mean, Queen Rie, what are you going to do? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:35:01 You can't deny it when she comes knocking. You answer the door. She's quite the woman. Yeah, she is. So as we've talked about on this podcast before, all three of us are vaccinated and we've been living our best lives going anywhere we want, mask-free, living it up. Aniston went on the Howard Stern show and you know had a lot to share talking about the friends reunion talking about being buddies with Brad Pitt talking about that David Schwimmer reveal but there was one bit that everyone has focused on because it's mystery and everybody loves a mystery she told Howard Stern that there was a male guest star on the show at one point who just, they all felt like he was, he felt like he was too above doing friends and wasn't into being on the show.
Starting point is 00:37:08 She wouldn't reveal who it was, but she admitted that it was a man who seemingly didn't want to, quote, be on a sitcom. Aniston detailed one example of their strange set behavior when they weren't happy with how the network and producers would laugh during a network run through. This person was like, listen to them, just laughing at their own jokes, so stupid,
Starting point is 00:37:28 not even funny. It was just like, what are you doing here? Your attitude, this is not what we're all about. She said she wasn't thrilled about the energy. The actor brought with him at the time. And she was like, it was such a wonderful place to work. And you're coming into our home and shitting on it. She did confirm that it wasn't Tom Selleck or Sean Penn.
Starting point is 00:37:46 And even revealed that the guest started in question later apologized. The funny thing is that male did apologize about their behavior years later. He just said, I was just so nervous to be honest that I wasn't on my best behavior. She didn't say who it was. My money's on Ben Stiller. I also think Ben Stiller. But the thing is about Ben Stiller, though, Jennifer Anderson has done movies with him.
Starting point is 00:38:10 They're good friends. Yeah, like, she wouldn't throw... I don't think she would throw him under the bus like that. I've actually heard about them talk about their friendship. They're very close. Okay, so I'm not in Ben Stiller off. George Clooney. I have a feeling it's not like a huge name.
Starting point is 00:38:27 But I think you would have to be a huge name to be that much of a dick. No, I don't, I think that's not true. Well, no, because I think it kind of has to be somebody who's doing movies and such. I don't know. I don't think Jennifer Anderson would throw. Yes, but I just, I don't know if Jennifer Anderson would necessarily at this point in her life tell this story about like a massive, someone who's a massive movie story now. I was just going to say Alec Baldwin.
Starting point is 00:38:54 I could see that. Freddie Prince Jr. I'm just kidding. Michael Rapaport. John Stamos. No, he was in full house. She said it wasn't. She said it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:39:04 It wasn't Sean Penn and it wasn't Tom Selleck. It could have been Michael Rappaport. It could have been Michael Rappaport. Although he had a multiple episode stint and so did Bruce Willis. So I feel like if you had multiple episodes, there's no way that you could have been that much of a dick because. So you think that it's someone who was on like one episode. I think Bruce Wilson is a good guess. I think it was somebody who was on one episode.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Danny DeVito? No way. I think Bruce Willis, he was in multiple episodes, so I feel like maybe not. I don't know. I just, I just, Charlie Sheen. But Charlie Sheen was in two and a half men. I don't think it was Charlie Sheen. I think that it was somebody who wouldn't, because she made it seem like they were
Starting point is 00:39:48 Robin Williams. They were just making it like, you know, there's some silly sitcom. Right. But I don't, I don't know, I'm kind of interpreting, I don't know if it necessarily means the guy was a movie star coming to do a sitcom. Like the guy might just have a big enough ego and like still could not be a huge actor and be like, I can't believe I'm doing a sitcom, you know? Possibly. We just have, there's really not too many hints. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Like Cole Sprouse. Yeah, it was, it was Cole Sprouse as a infant baby. You never know. Little Ben acting up. Paul Rudd? It's not Paul Rudd. It can't, I refuse to believe it's Paul Rudd. The same with George Coley.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Did Howard Stern like push back trying to get the name? I think so. I mean, that's why she said it wasn't Tom Selleck or Sean Penn. Like she wouldn't say who it was, but she said it wasn't them. And I mean, Tom Selleck was on a lot of interview, a lot. Could it have been like, could it have been Hank Azaria? I don't know much about it. him. I don't know. I don't know much about him either, but maybe. You never know. There's a lot of
Starting point is 00:41:05 options. Thinking of all Phoebe's boyfriends. I think George Clooney or Alec Baldwin, I'm sorry. I know that you don't want to believe. I really don't believe George Clooney. I can see George Clooney. What makes you think George Clooney is above that? No, it's less that. It's less. I don't think Jennifer Aniston would be telling the story about George Clooney. Why not? If she's not giving Because they're just like all friends. Like I just feel like they're all in that circle. They're not going to be like going on Howard Stern and throwing one of them under the bus. But she didn't throw them under the bus.
Starting point is 00:41:39 I mean, she didn't. But she didn't name anybody. I know, I know. But that person knows. So maybe that's what she wanted. Like no, no one knows who it actually is. But that person knows that she remembers. Yeah, but why give that dig to that person when she also said that they apologized?
Starting point is 00:42:00 later. So why couldn't it be George Clooney then? I don't know. Are you being swayed by George Clooney's good looks? I'm really not. I'm really not. By George Clooney's suavness? I just feel like it's not George Clooney. It could be anybody. We could sit here all day. We'll never know because she didn't give us the fucking answer. So it doesn't fucking matter. It's somebody that was on the show. Yeah. The thing is, far too many guests are being guest male guest stars to try and even figure it out. But it was a very, besides that, just interesting interview, Jennifer Aniston, just once again, feels like the best. Whenever somebody goes on Howard Stern, it's an interesting interview.
Starting point is 00:42:41 That is true. In once again, some of the least shocking news, Chloe Kardashian, and Tristan Thompson have broken up again. There's really like, you know, they're back, they're on, they're off, they're on, they're off. You could see filming the reunion. It kind of seemed like they were on. making it work, figuring it out. The show ended. She's going to Boston. Now, here we are, June 2021. And Daily Mail article pops up about Tristan showing up at some party, some house party, not Tanner's, different party from Tanner's party.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Shows up at some house party where multiple witnesses identified Tristan with three other women and one other guy. and they went into a bedroom and they were in there for 30 minutes and he came out looking dishevelled was the description and everybody's freaking out about it like they were like inside the witnesses of the party
Starting point is 00:43:41 where everyone was feeling bad about Chloe and what's going on and once again we thought we were in another cheating scandal but then the next day it came out that they actually have been broken up for a few weeks now and that probably came after the cheating situation that happened
Starting point is 00:43:57 last month. I love how their reasoning is that he went into a room with three girls and a guy and came out looking disheveled. Yeah. They could have been doing drugs. Oh, my first thought was drugs. Right? Like, that doesn't mean they all went in and started banging each other. They could just be going into a bedroom and doing drugs. Yeah. I kind of feel like sex is Tristan Thompson's drug. Like, I saw a very funny meme that was like, cheating is his truck. No, literally, I saw the only, I saw a meme that was like the only year Tristan Thompson's drug. It's drug. It's drug. I saw a very funny meme that was like the only year Tristan Thompson. and didn't cheat on Chloe Kardashian was because he was literally unable to leave the house because there was a pandemic. It was like every other year, he's been wild and out. Maybe he is addicted to sex. Who knows? Could be a drug.
Starting point is 00:44:39 It's a drug for some people. It's like how people like the thrill of stealing something from a store. Like he likes the thrill of like he's not supposed to be doing this. Listen, if I'm not doing this back and forth with these two anymore. I know. But it really does break my heart after watching the whole season of the Kardashians where Tristan was starting to win me over again. He's really putting in the effort to show Chloe that he wants to make it work,
Starting point is 00:45:01 that he wants to be a family, he's doing all the right things, and the rest of the family members are coming together and supporting him, and he's working his way back in. And it's just all for nothing. Chloe doesn't deserve this shit. I really hope that this is it. Please, God.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Hot take, I don't feel bad anymore. Yeah. Because how many times does this man have to cheat on her for her to get the point? That's why I don't feel so bad anymore. Yes, of course, it is heartbreaking. Chloe Kardashian does deserve better. Those things are very true. I feel bad. But do I sit here and feel bad that you got fooled for the 500 time by this guy cheating on you? No, because open up your eyes.
Starting point is 00:45:39 There's better people out there. Yes, you guys have a kid together, but people make it work. There are other people out there for you, Chloe Kardashian, Tristan Thompson, isn't going to be the one. He's never going to be the one. It's going to be weird for true. It's not. She grows up and, like, she tries all of this. Like, she's going to find out everything.
Starting point is 00:45:56 online and the show and everything. She tried hard, but what are you going to do? You can't change somebody who doesn't want to be truly changed. And also at one point, you got to save yourself and stop going back to somebody who clearly does not treat you right. You don't give somebody 500 chances. It's been like four times now. It's been four.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Jordan wasn't even the first time. The first time was at it with a random person at a club. Then it was Jordan. I'm sure there were some times in between that we don't know about. At some point you've got to stop feeling bad for these people who are just making poor decisions for themselves. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:37 And there was a little bit of a hot moment there between Tana and Tana Mojo and Chloe because Tana tweeted saying all I know to tweet about my birthday party last night is that Tristan Thompson was one of the first attendees. Like, babe, where's true? And Chloe, wild tweet. wild tweet a Chloe's you know Stan account retweeted it and wrote
Starting point is 00:46:59 shut the fuck up this screams attention seeking at its finest because you know damn well that man's gonna make headlines over anything pertaining to women you're a bird don't speak on true either weird ass hoe and Chloe liked that too it was definitely wild for Tanna to throw true in there because I mean true has a mother as well like she could be with the mom yeah he This is the thing. She can say something about Tristan and Tristan's fair game, but like you don't need to bring True into it. No, it don't bring the...
Starting point is 00:47:30 And Tana's always stepping into other people's business randomly because she always feels like she's a part of it somehow. Like, True. I understand why Chloe would lose her shit at someone bringing True into it because I feel like out of, throughout all of this, Chloe has tried to protect True so much and has tried to keep her family together because of True and she just can't do it anymore. And I'd also like to say, Tris is. Thompson's allowed to go to a party if somebody's watching true.
Starting point is 00:47:56 For sure. Like that tweet doesn't prove anything. Yeah, it's a total like fucking intent. Like the tweet says. That's an intention seeking tweet. If you're going to tweet that, you know, oh, the only thing for my birthday party is that Tristan Thompson came for, I'm sure there was other things that happened at your birthday party that you could tweet about Tanna.
Starting point is 00:48:12 There was about 500 influencers there. I'm sure something else happened. Exactly. That definitely did not need to be your one tweet about your birthday. We have a great interview. interview with Elizabeth and Alex from Love Island season one. If you guys remember, Elizabeth was the season one winner. And we're getting ready for summer.

Starting point is 00:50:16 Details at CoreSeltzer.com. Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes. Okay, everybody, we are here with two very special guests, Alex and Elizabeth, from Season 1 of Love Island, US. We have been in contact with these ladies for a little bit now. I feel like we are already friends with you guys. Welcome to the show. Thank you. We're happy, guys. We're so excited. We're so excited too. We're so hyped
Starting point is 00:50:47 because we've just feel like we've been deprived of Love Island content for so long. And we know that we're getting, you know, a new U.S. season, July 7th, then the UK's coming back. We got a lot of good stuff. And you guys do an awesome after show. How has it kind of been being in the, I guess, Love Island family and also kind of being like the first season of the U.S. version because people love the U.K. so much. Right. Yeah. I think the season one family is definitely the closest because we just went through everything together and everything was so brand new. Even the production, everything. Like, we're all still best friends with all the producers that are on there. You know, the head honchos, like all of that kind of stuff. And it's so interesting to watch like the new seasons come out and see who stays friends and who, you know, kind of drifts off and does their own thing. and who stays together and breaks up, which we clearly know, everyone broke up. Everybody's broken up.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Everybody. Everybody's dead and gone. Elizabeth. I think even in the second season, everybody's broken up, too, right? Like, I don't even know or anybody. Yeah. For a quick second. No, sorry, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:52:07 But it's been so cool to watch all the seasons and see everybody come together as friends, even when the breakups happen. And I feel like that's all because everyone goes through this unique experience. together so everyone bonds over the fact that you're doing this crazy, exciting, really abnormal thing. And I feel like so many friendships come out of the show even if relationships don't. Yeah, that's super cool about that. And I feel like that's what I love about Love Island, as opposed to The Bachelor, Bachelorette, where that feels like it's like very serious with Love Island. It's kind of more loosey-goosey. People make friends and people get in people couple up
Starting point is 00:52:43 who are just friends just because they want to stay on the show and see what happens. But Elizabeth, I feel like, you know, us viewers, we were like, oh, are they going to make it? Because for a little bit. But how did that? Different perspective. Yeah, different perspective. But how did that end up working out after, obviously, you guys split up? But did you feel like it was a hard decision because you guys, you won, right? Yes. So you guys won. Yeah. And did you feel like you had to uphold that? Yeah. So the pressure was totally there coming back. Like we, you know, when we're on the island, and I, we and all the other Islanders, we didn't know how the show was doing. We didn't know if anybody was watching being a pilot season.
Starting point is 00:53:24 We thought we would make jokes that like 100 people were watching and it was just our families. So we come home and we see this like awesome fan base and all these people that are so excited. And we're also exciting coming off with our new relationships and mixing in, you know, real life, real world problems at the same time as taking on this, you know, following all of a sudden and having the pressures for both of those things separately. and then together it was just, you know, extremely overwhelming. I think that's why most of the couples, you know, don't make it generally. But, you know, I mean, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:53:57 You know, you have to experience the real world together and you just, it could work or it could not. I mean, we see Molly May and Tommy. They're still badly love. I love them so much. I follow them religiously. Did you guys? Yeah, we're obsessed with them. Did you guys watch Love Island before you were on the first season?
Starting point is 00:54:13 Yeah, they told us to watch it to like understand what we were. going to go through. I didn't know what it was until auditioning for it, though. And then I watched like the first season. I started with the first season. And I was like, oh my God, what the hell am I getting myself into? I mean, you must have been hooked after that. And can you take the first season of UK is like kind of vulgar? It's crazy. Yeah, it's like chain smoking figs everywhere. I wish they were still doing that on the new season. Can you guys take us through what the casting process was like and did you guys, you know, get to meet anybody before you were on the show?
Starting point is 00:54:53 No. So, yeah, go ahead. I think everyone was casted differently, you know, like they would find people through dating apps. They scouted some people. They would find people through friends and recommended them. They would slide into people's DMs. I was DM'd by like the casting producer and it was just like a crazy. Everyone's kind of like, is this real? Is this like a scam? Like, we're not sure. because, you know, the show doesn't exist yet. So we're like, I don't know, so you have a couple feeler conversations. And then the next thing you know,
Starting point is 00:55:23 we're like at finals in L.A. They fly you out for this, like, final round. It's all like high stakes. You know, you meet all the head producers of CBS and you're like, whoa, this is really happening. And then, you know, next thing, you're in, you're in Fiji or, you know, wherever filming.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Yeah. And I think to go off, um, meeting people, the only people we got to meet was, Winston was down in Fiji doing press because I guess like CBS flew him down for it because he was like a favorite on Big Brother and so we met him
Starting point is 00:55:57 and like we had no idea he was going on the show like not even a clue I was like yeah yeah whatever nice meet you and then before I went into the villa I got to say hi to Ariel because she was so nervous and I was the first one going in and I was like obviously I want to meet her so we got to meet like for
Starting point is 00:56:15 five seconds and then we just bonded like I freaking love her. But what's so general about it is when you go, you're not supposed to know anyone going. So it's supposed to be like hush, hush, and they have you in lockdown, you know, it's just like quarantine period where you can't see anybody, you can't talk to anybody, whatever. But I'm at this resort and I am constantly with a chaperone. I'm constantly scouting out anyone I see that looks like a sexy single. And I'm like, is that person on the show?
Starting point is 00:56:40 Is that person on the show? Even at the airport, like, flying out on my flight, I was like scoping out all these people I thought were like potential contestants and my chaperone was like enough of this like I am not giving away anyone and the only person I had right that I had seen in airport was Caro and it was her big that's amazing and the fact that it was in Fiji it must have been just an unreal experience I mean the first season you guys get to go to Fiji what's better than that seriously like I thought I wouldn't even get to go to Fiji for a honeymoon but I went to know like find a boyfriend in Fiji and I was like, what the hell are we doing?
Starting point is 00:57:17 Like, none of this makes any sense, but I'm not questioning it whatsoever. This is just the world we're living in. There's dating shows where you can just end up in Fiji. It really is. And so now, like, what has life been like after the show for you guys? Like how... After Love Island, one might say. After the island.
Starting point is 00:57:40 How has it kind of been? And where, like, I'm curious. as to what you guys kind of thought your career paths would be before going on Love Island and how that's changed after being on Love Island. Yes. So we both worked, you know, traditional jobs like Alex worked in PR and I worked in advertising and we kind of went into it like this is an adventure, but there was no promises. There's no guarantees of any kind of social following at this point.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Like there's no guarantees that any doors would open. It was just like you're signing up for this crazy experience. So we come off and like obviously tons of doors were opened and, you know, really cool opportunities, you know, to like be working with brands or, you know, having this nice following and fan base and whatnot. And I think that's where Alex and I kind of realized like the whole idea of the show is so fun. And, you know, Whitehearted has this like awesome comedic factor that we were like, we want to like stick with this somehow. Like how can we, you know, continue on with this? And that's where I think we were like, we should, you know, start interviewing everybody for the next season that gets booted and stuff. we've had so much fun doing that.
Starting point is 00:58:47 We're literally castaways. Like we will never leave Love Island and everyone who has a problem with it can shut up. I mean, I don't think anyone has a problem with it. And also, I love your guys' friendship. I love that you guys have created this bond out of coming out of the show and also kind of making a little bit of a career out of it as well. You've got, you're doing the after show. We have always talked about before you guys did it.
Starting point is 00:59:13 We were like, there needs to be. some sort of Love Island show and you guys are doing it. And how has it been talking to the past contestants similar situations to yours or do you think that the other seasons, it got a little different? I think this was our, this was our reasoning for starting after the island was to give the people that felt like they had a crap edit or didn't get shown in the way that they're supposed to be shown in to come on and kind of tell their story. Obviously, it was some things that they can't include because
Starting point is 00:59:48 of contracts and that kind of stuff. But it was kind of a platform for all of them that didn't have the following yet to speak their own truth, to come on to our stuff and say whatever they want. We were never going to censor them. It was definitely a little
Starting point is 01:00:06 different for season two than ours. I think like they switched up production, obviously and they did Casa Moore which we had a version of it but it was nowhere near the bombshells that explode in there Thank God. Thank God they did Casamore.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Casamore has to happen on the show. It has to. It does. I was disappointed the first season. I was like they can't keep doing it like this. People are not going to like it. I know you guys were probably happy but. No. We wanted the Casamore.
Starting point is 01:00:37 We wanted it. We were so bored. You were so bored. Yeah, what is it like? What is your day to day on Love Island? I feel like that's what everybody wonders because we just see you guys sitting by the pool. What time do you wake up in the morning?
Starting point is 01:00:56 Yeah, it's always been my question. Run through the day. Like I'm like, is it 7 a.m.? Is it 11 a.m.? Just run through the day. Okay. All right. So we don't know the times.
Starting point is 01:01:05 We wake up. They wake us up just with a light, like a legitimate, like, things. of a ring light. Do you ever know what time it is? No, it's a strobe light. It's so bad. It's so angry. Yeah, everyone got so mad. No one would move out of bed
Starting point is 01:01:21 and then a producer would come over the mic and be like, get the fuck up or we're, you're not eating lunch today. Like, so then we would get us, brush our teeth, the boys would go make us breakfast and then producers would come out and say, it's almost lunchtime.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Like, there's no point in making breakfast. So we would always have lunchtime. immediately after breakfast. And then what would we do? We would go and we would wait for, go ahead. We would wait for like a text to come through to tell us what was going on for the day,
Starting point is 01:01:54 whether it was a recoupling, whether to, you know, watch out for possible New Islanders walking in or one of the games or challenges, you know, whether we were doing like the paint balloon stuff or the game access baggage or, you know, things like that.
Starting point is 01:02:09 So you never really knew And that was what was kind of fun about the shows. He woke up and you had no idea what was going to happen that day. And you're just sitting around waiting and Fran asked, do you ever know what time it is? No. So you get out of there and time doesn't exist? Unbelievable. Time does not exist.
Starting point is 01:02:29 How the fuck do you go back to normal life after that? There was one way that I found out how to tell time. We get like, we have a medic coming because people have daily medicine and stuff. and she would have to write down the time that she gave it to you. So I would take a look at her clipboard and I'd be like, guys, it's 1156. No, I tried that too and they would purposely write the times off because it wouldn't make sense.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Well, then, I was just living alive. Yeah. What the hell? I don't know if I could live. Imagine like every day and I know what time is. What time you are going to bed or waking up? It would kill me. It's like it's the day moves so much slower. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Oh my God. And I think right there is why I couldn't do it. I could never. TV, movies, music, none of that, any sort of entertainment? Well, on Sunday or no, Saturdays, we're off days. And so none of the girls could talk to the boys. We were all separated. And we would get to, the girls would usually get to go out to lunch at like a nice resort. And the guys had to like stay in the villa and play with soccer balls and stuff. But like, well, that's nice that they did that. the music. Oh, okay. I just feel like I'd go crazy if I had to like sit in silence and not be able to get any sort of music or entertainment. I don't know what I'd do. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, it was like Christmas every Saturday. We'd be like, oh, we haven't heard music with words in so long because they can't play that kind of stuff when they're filming. It's like that Saturday being your day off is the only way for you guys to even know what day it is. Yeah, exactly. And I guess it doesn't really matter when you're in the villa, but Saturday is a nice day to have off.
Starting point is 01:04:11 That's nice. Yeah, no, I don't think that even matters. It doesn't matter. We would watch movies. Oh, yeah. That's good, though. I think that, I don't know, I think your season for you guys,
Starting point is 01:04:22 it did, like, towards the end, it felt like everybody was very secure in the couples that they were in. So it was like, all right, we'll see what happens. But, like, the two of you, it just felt like there was nothing really that was going to mix anything up too much. New people that came in
Starting point is 01:04:39 were, like, a meal. immediately sent home and was like, yeah, there's just, sorry. It's just, we're all, we're all kind of locked in. I was like, absolutely being called the hottest girl in the villa. And I was like, cool. Yeah. How are you guys now with your exes? Would you say friends or you don't really speak to them?
Starting point is 01:04:57 Elizabeth, do you want to go first? Sure. Yeah. So it's crazy because I never really have, like, touched on it or, like, addressed it other than posting, like, one story. You know, we break up and, like, everyone wants all these answers. and like no one wants to throw anyone out with a bus or you know say something that makes the other person like look bad and you know because you have like so many people's eyes and it's you know some of it can be like private but and there's all these expectations so you know we post this like statement each on our stories or like we wrote one out together and we were like going to post it the same day and everything and then like before it Zach went and like rewrote his and just like totally wrote so many different and I was just like oh like I was just like oh like I'm okay, like, it was like per Elizabeth's request, like, whatever.
Starting point is 01:05:43 And I was like, what that hell? I do remember this. But I was like so mad. I was like, okay, what? Like, way to make your, try to make yourself look better. But it was just like we got home. And honestly, like, for me, the person that I met on the villa in the villa on that island never left that island.
Starting point is 01:06:01 Like when we got back, it was like totally different, like, everyday, like attitude, life goals, motivation, all of it was like different. And like, maybe it's just like too hard to adjust back after like living like that. But like I was tell people and like for friends and family that were even confused, it was like the person that we saw on the show and on the island like did not exist back in real life. So for me it was like a pretty easy breakup to move on from because it was like that person doesn't exist. So it was easier to like kind of let it go and leave it in the past. And you know, be really happy that everything happened. Like I wouldn't trade my experience for our. anything like I loved it like I had so much fun and you know there I was so like head over heels like this is it for me yeah but then when I got back it was so different that it was like obviously this is not it for me yeah that makes sense and like we talked about earlier you know maybe the relationship didn't work out but you got so many other great things from the show friendship oh yeah like like family almost yeah of course and like I would I would do it all over the exact same like I had like you know nothing bad to say like while I was there the whole whole
Starting point is 01:07:08 time. Like I lived like such a dream going there and doing that. Like it was awesome. But yeah, we, we don't talk anymore. I like reached out here and there just like happy birthday or like, Merry Christmas, you know, to check in and got no response. But I also think like being friends even just wouldn't work because it was just like such a different person that like even out of like a classroom of people or a group of people like I wouldn't have picked someone with that type of character to like even like be friends with. But I'm friends with. all my other exes. You probably didn't have the foundation to even have a friendship at that point.
Starting point is 01:07:44 Exactly. Like, it just, it didn't make sense. And, like, people were so mad about that online. Like, even to this day, they're like, you're not friends. You're not friends. And I'm like, but we naturally wouldn't be friends. And I'm, you know, like, you.
Starting point is 01:07:55 It is what it is. I don't hate this person. I don't really know this person, it feels like. Yeah, you don't have to be friends with everybody. Yeah. What about you, Alex? Okay. So, well,
Starting point is 01:08:08 Mine is like almost a little bit similar, but I had like a broken jaw during all of it. So it was a little harder to, you know, you come off of this fairy tale island where you're like flying on helicopters and stuff. And then I got home and maybe a month of like fun. And then I broke my jaw. And it was just probably like the first real life experience we had to go through obviously. And it just did not work. Like he wanted to go out and like work out. And I was like, bro, I can't even move.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Like I'm paralyzed right now. And so that was kind of like a big issue. Again, goes for the same with Elizabeth. They're very different people on the island. I mean, when you think about it, you're going into this experience. And you can be whatever you want. No one knows anything about you. So like you can brush the little things that.
Starting point is 01:09:07 you know are like ticks or something under the rug for four weeks and then we now it all kind of comes to a head when you're faced with all of the real life realities hitting you just head on one after one after one um so yeah we just we mutually like decided to end it um it was it was a little hard but to be honest exactly like elizabeth said it almost didn't feel real because we were in such a whirlwind that it was super easy to get over, and I don't mean to say that to, like, be a bitch or anything, but it's just something where I think you can so easily take yourself out of it because you knew you were in such a weird situation
Starting point is 01:09:47 that you just would never be in that situation with that person in the real world ever again. Yeah, definitely. And it's like a learning experience and also just terrifying, like you said, that you know nothing about these people, literally nothing. They could be out of their minds and you would have no idea because they could lie right to your face. So, I mean... Exactly.
Starting point is 01:10:08 It is what it is. You guys are fine without them. I'm sure you know that. Yeah, exactly. So, of course, we, everybody focuses on the relationships from the show. But I have to imagine, like, dating post-reality TV is kind of hard. Like, how do you guys... I feel like dating in L.A. is hard anyway.
Starting point is 01:10:31 But how has it been, you know, I mean, a COVID and whatnot, but like how has it been kind of like even trying to navigate dating after being on Love Island? Yeah. It's definitely, Mallory was so funny. She was like, literally I thought everyone would want to date me, but now my dating life is worse. She's like, it's awful. I mean, like, I have seen a few people that I probably won't say. Totally fine. Because he has girlfriend. Yeah, I mean, I've seen like a few people, but it's honestly, I feel like it's the age we're into. I'm like, I just turned 28. And I feel like every guy that's 28 is either married or literally has no, like, not even a vision of a future with a woman at this point in his life.
Starting point is 01:11:24 And I'm like, so am I waiting for someone to get divorced? Like, I don't know. Oh, my God. Yeah, for me, I feel like it was a little bit different. Like I come out, you know, I obviously like see people and like slowly ease back into things. I think I was kind of like both of us were like, wouldn't just be alone for a little bit because the whole situation a lot was like it was very overwhelming. You know, just trying to adjust back.
Starting point is 01:11:48 But even my mom said to me, she was like, the matter who you date next is going to have a really hard time. And I like brush that off at the moment like, you know what? Like yeah, but it won't be that bad. But I have a new boyfriend now that I started dating last summer. We, like, reconnected and stuff. And it has been really hard for him because he's not the guy that my fans and followers saw me fall in love with on TV. So they were very angry about it first. You know, they were very easy to, like, hate on him and write really mean things.
Starting point is 01:12:18 And it was like, oh, my gosh. And he's very, you know, like, he didn't sign up to receive all this, like, hate. And it's not fair because no these people even, like, know him or anything. And they're just, you know, they're sad about him not being, you know, the person they saw me with. on TV. So like that whole adjustment was really hard, but I think it would have happened with anybody. Like it didn't matter who it was that I started dating after like whoever it was going people were going to be angry that it wasn't, you know, exact from the show. Yeah, definitely. It's hard to shake. It's a wild place. Yeah. They have so many opinions. It's wild.
Starting point is 01:12:52 And when it comes to especially dating shows and shows like this when fans fall in love with a couple or they want a couple to stay together, it gets so ruthless. So it's so true. Yeah, it's just like across all dating shows. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's way easier for the people that don't end up with anyone to walk out and like be known for themselves instead of their couple.
Starting point is 01:13:18 Right. Like I see contestants from Love Island, UK that I follow an Instagram that have been on the, like, who were on the show three, four years ago. and like I'll sometimes just look at their comments on photos and there's there will still be people being like I can't believe what you did to so and so like it's like get over it years ago
Starting point is 01:13:41 oh yeah literally to this day people still send messages to us like I just can't believe you did this to back into it yeah there's not a day that goes by that I don't get a message like where is he like what happened and you're like like almost two years ago. Are you serious? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:00 That is so crazy. Because it's like airing other places. Right, right, right. So, you know. Yep, definitely makes sense. So what do you guys have planned for after the island season? I mean, now it'll be Love Island season three, but four after the island for this season. Yeah, so we are so excited. We just signed with two production agencies.
Starting point is 01:14:23 So we'll be with like slash management and then Forever Dog. And it's crazy. see the island like yeah we're excited we have a studio and everything like it's been so exciting for us to see it all come to life like you don't you guys don't understand so last summer we were like let's do it Alex comes and stays with me and my family for the entire summer and we make the room in my basement at my parents house a makeshift studio and that's how we did it like and Alex was with us literally all summer like that must have been a blast it was so fun my parents were like Alex what do you want for Chris? like she lived with us and it was just so fun you know we just like went with it and we enjoyed it so much and it did really well so we're excited to go back into it this summer and you know kind of take everyone's feedback that we got and you know just have a more professional spin on it but keep it you know super fun and and unfiltered and you know and i hope it yeah yeah and i think this is something
Starting point is 01:15:21 people will look forward to because like i said everyone wants more love island everyone wants to hear people talking about Love Island. So can you guys let everybody know where they can watch or listen? Yes, Elizabeth, do you want to say or do you want me to say? You go. Okay, so our first episode is going to be on June 28th.
