Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday. It also feels like Friday. I do have a lot of Friday energy inside of my soul right now.
Starting point is 00:00:32 We don't have an episode on Friday. That is true. So we're like putting both energies Wednesday and Friday into one. We have a very special, special guest today. We are joined by Murray the Swissy, aka Noah's beautiful dog, who is taking up our couch in the best way. He's a king. Now he's being cute.
Starting point is 00:00:49 He's being so cute and polite. He is ruling this office right now, and we just can't get enough of him. Honestly, we have been blessed with his presence today. We have. We absolutely have. Everybody's excited. And honestly, it's been so great to have him. Because today, our episode is brought to you by Milkbone,
Starting point is 00:01:05 a brand that believes that everything could use more dog, even this podcast. Look, I would love to have our dogs here all the time. Listen, I would love if Norman was here right with us with Murray. Imagine Norman and Murray sitting next to each other. Hilarious visual. Norman is like the size of his leg. It's so funny. I think Murray's head is bigger than Norman's whole body.
Starting point is 00:01:25 It's very close. It's very close. But Murray's adorable. So Noah, thanks for having him be our... Thanks for sharing. Shut up. My mom is really the one who... Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Oh, Murray. He hears you talking. Your mom's the best, and she drove Murray here today. And Murray's also obsessed with your mom. Yes. And so we've had to have her sit next to him the whole time, and she's trying to hide from the camera, although her hands will be popping in the shot. Yeah, I'm going to, I'm going to give him a little milk bone. As you should.
Starting point is 00:01:54 He deserves it. All of our dogs deserve it, to be quite honest. I wish I can give Norman one right now. But Murray's going to get one. Oh, good boy. Everybody loves the milk bone treats. He's really enjoying Matt. He really is.
Starting point is 00:02:09 He's honestly making me want one. We got them all over. He's keeping his cool though. There's a lot of treat boxes laying around here. And he's being a good boy. And honestly, every time you give a dog milk bone treat, it's great. They enjoy it. They love it.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Every dog loves milk bone. Something about giving a dog a treat is like giving yourself a treat, you know? Because they're so happy. It makes you feel happy. And you like make them fight for it a little bit like sit, paw. But at the same time, you know, you're, going to give it to them anyway. Look, he's so excited because a little crumb got into the crevice of the couch. He's really diving in there to find that. And now he gets more. And maybe if he's a good
Starting point is 00:02:42 boy, he'll get another one soon. Exactly. We got, exactly. This is not the last time you'll hear about Milkbone today because that's just how excited we are to have Murray here with us and to give him some treats and shower him with love. That couch is going to be like black with just all his shedding after this. It's all right. We can figure that out afterwards. So everyone guys go to milkbone.com and Bring more dog to your life. That's milkbone.com and bring more dog to your life. Ria, how you doing? I'm great.
Starting point is 00:03:13 He's bringing such a smile in my face. I honestly am beaming right now. Look, I don't know how much more we can talk about it because truly it's like, we'll talk about it even more as the show goes on. Dogs make people happy. It's a YouTube episode for sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:27 If you're not watching on YouTube, you're not getting the full effect. And he's got his little chicks in the office bandan on. Just a brand sponsor. I'm doing good. today. We have talked at nauseam about the week ahead. We are headed to when people listen to this. We'll be headed to Boston.
Starting point is 00:03:43 The 20th anniversary of Barcelona Awards are tonight when you're listening so you can tune into the live stream. Oh my God, this is such an beautiful picture right now. I know. I know. I can't get enough of it. I love you. I love you so much. But as you're listening to this, you can watch tonight the live stream. We'll be hosting
Starting point is 00:04:01 Red Carpet. And we're also going to be presenting, which I I'm very, very, very nervous about. Very, very, very nervous. Yeah, we're kind of just trying to like blank that out, you know? Mm-hmm. We're already thinking about the day after. Right. Well, so I was in the office talking about us presenting with people, and Francis mentioned how he is going to do a quick little thing before he, like, says the award.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Oh, I was thinking about that. I don't want to do a bit. And neither do why don't you and Frank do a little Tina Fey, Amy Poehler? I said, no. I think we're just going to get up there and say, this is the award. Yeah. And here's the winner. Because look, at the end of the day, we're.
Starting point is 00:04:35 We are avid viewers of award shows. And those things go long. And sometimes you just appreciate the people that get on stage and say the award and then get off the stage. Right. And we can even say that. We can be like, listen, we watch a lot of award shows. We're not going to bore you with a little bit. We're not going to do a bit.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Even though this may sound like a bit, it's not a bit. We're going to cut to the chase. Yep. Here's the award for blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Exactly. We have to get our timing right. We need to stay the person at the same time. There's a whole lot of stuff that goes into this.
Starting point is 00:05:03 We got a not trip on stage. I'm very nervous about that. I know. But it's going to be okay. It's going to be great. I am just so ecstatic for The Bachelorette party that I have this weekend. I cannot wait for that. I have written in multiple different spots for me not to forget my passport.
Starting point is 00:05:19 That's very important. Oh, I got a hair in my mouth. Sorry. Very important. Yep. You should just make sure that that's packed first, you know? In the good pocket of the bag or the backpack. As soon as I get home, that passport is the first thing that's going into my bag.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Because, oh, my gosh, the scare, the fright that would. give me if I showed up with no passport. Yeah. But I'm freaking excited. I'm just looking at this camera. It literally looks like Murray could eat Ria. That's how big she looks. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I mean, look, Murray's no tiny and tiny lap dog. He's 120 pounds. He's so pretty cute and lovable. I just want to like squeeze him and cuddle up to him. He's too freaking cute. You know what I mean? Like give him a big bear hug. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:01 So yeah, you're headed to your basterette party, which is very exciting. I'll be back on Martha's Vineyard. Very exciting about that. The festival. We got the whole itinerary, you know. Like, I've been talking about this, but I just, I told my friends that I want to, like, film us like we're back in high school.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Like how we acted when we were in high school and we would all hang out. Make some, like, dance videos. Yeah, like, whatever happens happens. You know what I mean? Like, I just can't wait. It's going to be really exciting. We have a great show, long show. I feel like already on this episode because we have Trent.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Yes, we do. We have charity and daun. Yes, we do. They grace us with their presence. And we have some topics. And we have Murray. And we have Murray. It can't get better than today's episode.
Starting point is 00:06:45 It really can't. And it'll hold you over until freaking Monday because we don't have an episode on Friday. We apologize. I might take a three days less than this one. It might. Actually might. So let's get into the topics. So a lot has been happening this week with Scooter Braun.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Clients are dropping like flies. Something's happening. Something must be happening. Everybody's wondering. What did he do? What? What is everybody hearing? Because the first report came out that Justin Bieber had dropped him.
Starting point is 00:07:13 And now Justin Bieber's people, they were like, no, that's not happening. But there's been multiple different hearsay about that. It was originally came from somewhere called Puck News, which is why people raised an eyebrow. But the guy that started Puck News was apparently, I don't know, he worked for the highway report or something. He's had a long history in the, come here, buddy. he's at a long history in the entertainment news world so he was like he posted this he's like
Starting point is 00:07:43 this is what I'm hearing nobody else had really shared it all the other outlets were basically saying that it isn't true because like their management had said that that's not what's happening so I don't know it's just you have to wait and see really with that and there wasn't really too many other things that had come out of the
Starting point is 00:08:01 the Justin Bieber part but what did start to happen was his other clients started dropping him. Demi Lovado first. Then right after Demi Lovato was Ariana Grande. Yeah. And then right after Ariana Grande was Adina Mansell. Yeah. All of who I did not know was represented by Scooterbron.
Starting point is 00:08:17 And now all of these top stars are dropping Big Bad Scooter, something must have happened. And now there are reports that maybe Scooter is not a manager anymore. Maybe he's moving on wants to do something different. You don't stop being a manager unless people don't want you as a manager anymore. That's, I think, how that happens. Oh, really? I don't know. I could kind of see him like, I feel like he's a master.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Manipulator is not the word I'm looking for. But I guess it kind of works. Like manipulates the situation in favor of him, you know? So it's like where he thinks that, hey, I've had this massive business, created SB management, the whole thing. And now like, I just think guys with massive egos also can just be like, you know what? I'm tired of that.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I want to move on to something else. I want to run this business. I want to create something totally different. I want to do something else. So I feel like that. Scooter Braun's like, I need a manager. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:14 It's just also crazy to me too that this could all be happening. And he posts on Instagram from like a vacation. He's like on some trip. Look wherever he is. Looks beautiful. But it's mountains hiking,
Starting point is 00:09:26 all these people. And the capture just Carpe Diem. So I'm like, all right. He seems unbothered. Right. So I mean, clearly we know Scooter Braun is not the cleanest of guys with his reputation, okay?
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah. He's got a sketchy past. We know everything that happened with Taylor Swift. He was a dick to her. Yeah. And then, you know, he cheated on his wife. I really do feel like...
Starting point is 00:09:46 And they broke up. Yeah, I do feel like pre-Taylor Swift, though. He had a great reputation. He had a great reputation until you uncover things about people. And the real them is unveiled. Yeah. And that's what happens a lot of times. Yep.
Starting point is 00:09:59 And this so-called good guy Scooter Braun gets a massive head. And he has skeletons in his closet that come to light. And I think that... that maybe that might be what we're seeing or maybe like you said, maybe it's as simple as he's not going to be a manager anymore and he's doing some other business. But I will say it does not look good for him at all
Starting point is 00:10:17 that every single client of his is dropping him in the same week. No matter if you did something bad or you didn't, it looks like something very bad is about to come out about you. And even if it's like, even if he spins it of like, oh, my company is ending or like this is not,
Starting point is 00:10:33 I'm no longer a manager, contracts are ending, all happening at one time. is extremely suspicious for sure. So there's no way that there isn't something crazy happening. We're doing a little tease. Okay, we're going to jump in here for quick, for quick treat break. Treat break.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Treat break. Treat break. He's breathing into the mic. He is breathing into the microphone. Everybody stop for a treat break. Oh my God, I got wait. Hold on, hold on. Everybody stop for a treat break.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Treat break. He's got a lot to say. Okay. Yeah, he does. Guys, milk bone, like we said, absolutely delicious. Your dog will love him. Murray's loves them Look at him
Starting point is 00:11:08 He's just too cute I mean truly milkbone Milkbone believes it we believe it I'm gonna wipe my hand on this piece of paper Milkbone believes it we believe it Life is better when you have dogs More dog always I think even like
Starting point is 00:11:24 You could think of crazy moments That have happened recently Where you think Wouldn't it be better if a dog was involved in that That person would probably be happy If they had a dog next to them That divorce just happened Maybe they would be happier if they had a dog
Starting point is 00:11:36 Maybe they should go get a dog. Exactly. Happy moments are happening. Babies are being born. Marriages are happening. Throw a dog in the mix. Everything's better with a dog. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Make sure you are stocked up on your milkbone treats. You can go to milkbone.com and bring more dog to your life. Now, with the Justin Bieber thing with the part of this, with the scooter situation, like, do you think they're just going to wait this out and have scooters say something before anything happens with Justin? He is digging for the smokebone treat. Get it. He got it.
Starting point is 00:12:13 He got it. I feel like when it comes to Justin and Scooter, they have a very long history. Family bond. And I think they will go about this respectfully. And maybe that's why Justin's team stepped in and was like, oh no, he's not leaving yet. Because they need to go about it the right way
Starting point is 00:12:34 because there's a very long relationship there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the other thing, maybe they'll step away from Scooter a little bit. Yeah, but Ariana Grande had a bad pass with Scooter as well. I mean, they worked together. They worked together, but they stopped working together. And then she went back to him. Remember, they had to make up.
Starting point is 00:12:49 They had a really bad, like, fight. They stopped working together. And then they started working together again. Look, with Demi Lovato, too, that always was a red flag to me. Like, when Demi Lovato was like, this is the guy I want Scooter Braun. I was like, oh, no. Oh, no. You know?
Starting point is 00:13:03 I didn't love that movie either because she's had a very tough go with her management we've seen as the management has been, she's had a lot of stories to share from that and it was very like publicized like I found my my perfect fit, it's going to be this
Starting point is 00:13:20 but I mean I don't know yeah I also think it's kind of funny now how obviously everyone knows what happened between Scooter and Taylor but everything's coming back up now where they're showing what Demi said, what Ariana said, when everything came out about Scooter and Taylor, what Justin said,
Starting point is 00:13:38 and they were like, oh, this is the guy you were defending. And now it could be that nothing happened. Yeah. But I don't think that's the case when all of your clients are dropping you in the same week. Maybe their contracts are up all at around the same time. They're deciding to move on and he's doing something else. But it's fishy to me. It's very, very fishy. There has to be something going on. I don't think stuff like this happens normally. No, and, and, you know, I mean, obviously this Fifties are having a field day because it just feels like everything is crumbling for him, which is totally what it does seem like. But that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Like I'm very confused on this spin. He's a spin guy. He'll put a spin on this. I think my prediction is that like this Scooter Braun management company or whatever is just like coming to an end and he's starting something new that maybe isn't music management. Maybe we'll have to see. I think like Taylor may have ended his time in the music industry. She could have. Maybe he just fully has to switch fields.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Some kind of ownership of some kind of company, but maybe it's not in music. Yeah, maybe nobody respects him anymore. Maybe they're like, listen, Taylor is clearly at the top right now. Yeah. And she's destroying you every night on stage. So maybe it's time you move on. That's what you made her do. Scooter.
Starting point is 00:14:52 Yeah. Nailed that one. Nailed it. Totally nailed it. Last topic. Yeah. Congrats to Rihanna. And Aesap Rocky.
Starting point is 00:15:01 They had their second child. seems to be a boy. There were reports that they were having a girl, but now they're saying boy. Yeah. So I don't know which one I believe yet. I want to,
Starting point is 00:15:10 I will wait to see until the couple announces, but either way. Family of four. I can't get enough of these two being in love and having children and just find in love with each other. I just can't get over it.
Starting point is 00:15:20 I'm like, I couldn't be happy of Aesab Rocky and Rihanna. They are, I just want them to keep that love alive and I think they will. So where he might put a hole in this couch. He might. And that's okay.
Starting point is 00:15:31 He's our king. He's digging for his multiple. bones. So congrats to Rihanna and ASAP. We're so happy for you. But yeah, why don't you mention something to watch this week? I will. I will. Also, wait, quickly, again, Jesse James Decker is having another baby as well. Big pregnancy news, but that's
Starting point is 00:15:47 I just saw them joking that like she wanted him to have a vasectomy and he said, no. Now they're having another baby. Oh, that's tough. Yeah. I kind of think if I was like, I need my husband to get a vasectomy and he didn't, I'd be pretty pissed. I'm sure like
Starting point is 00:16:03 I'm sure it wasn't totally unplanned or who knows but like if you say I think I'm done having kids and he's like I don't know I'd be like that's not your decision pal I mean it is his decision to get a vasectomy though
Starting point is 00:16:16 no but if I'm yeah but if I am like I really don't want to have any more kids then you can get your tubes tied yeah but it's a lot easier for him to get a vasectomy right but the way I understand what you're saying
Starting point is 00:16:30 100% But the way that you're wording it being like, it's not his decision. It's 100% his decision to get a vasectomy or not. Yeah, but it would be a very selfless thing to do. Furry. It would be a very selfless thing to do for your, for your, it would be. It would be. It would be nice.
Starting point is 00:16:47 You know? But he didn't do it. I just think that that's like not a crazy ask. It's not a crazy, it's not a crazy surgery. I don't know. You know what I mean? I don't think I am to say if it's a crazy surgery or not. I'm not a guy.
Starting point is 00:16:59 You know? All I know is that getting. your tubes type is way crazier than doing a getting a vasectomy. So, right. If you're like, hey, this is what I want, at least maybe be open to it. Maybe it was open to it. Maybe he was like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah, maybe. Yeah. I mean, look, there's obviously other ways to not have cancer. Right. You can't force the guy to get a vasectomy if he doesn't want to. Yeah. But I get what you're saying it would be nice. Yeah. But you can't be like, you must, you must do it. Yeah. You know, you're right. But I also think
Starting point is 00:17:31 you can certainly push him in the direction that you want him to go. Okay. Whatever you say. I think when it comes to like having more kids. Okay. It's a big decision. Yeah. But they're having now they're having their fourth kid.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Murray is dying for these milk bones. He's going crazy for them. Yeah. He's just staring at the box right now. Murray, you have to be a good boy to get them. I know. Okay. So yes, I did have some things I wanted to mention watchwise.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I started suits. You did? Yeah. Watch the first three episodes. Didn't like it? Yeah. Wow. Like, I'm into it.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I don't know. It just, it didn't fully, it hasn't fully pulled me in. Interesting. I don't know what it was. Not gonna get mad at you. No, I know, I know. Just surprised.
Starting point is 00:18:21 I just like, how many, I just was waiting for something a little juicy to happen, you know? Like a big pull in for the. more stuff inner happens I also
Starting point is 00:18:35 I also have truly only watched three episodes so yeah but I think I was like hooked within the first three yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:18:43 I don't know this sounds like silly but I do sometimes think like scripted shows that came out a long time ago ish a long time ago
Starting point is 00:18:55 not that long ago but longish time ago that the production value is like so different that I'm just like, nah, this doesn't look, doesn't visually look that good, you know?
Starting point is 00:19:07 I get what you're saying. You're like, this is so fake. Yeah, yeah. But it was definitely a show that I was like, oh, I got to throw something on. I've been, I was like, I'll give it a try. I've truly, I've watched a lot. I've exhausted a lot of my shows in the last, over
Starting point is 00:19:23 the weekend, too, I had a lot of free time. I did, I talked about I finished at home with the Furies, I really liked. And I finished Sweet Magnolias, which I did post on my Instagram story. And I was very happy to see that a lot more people than I thought were still watching this show. I kind of felt like I was the only one.
Starting point is 00:19:44 It's like, is anybody still talking about this show? I don't see a lot of people talking about it. People aren't posting about it as much. But I did see, like, I did get a lot of DMs from girls being like, oh my God, I watched it already. And I think people just didn't really love this season, which is fair. I will say that I don't know if it's going to continue for another. season if they'll keep doing it.
Starting point is 00:20:03 It felt like they kind of wrapped it up a little bit because the first and second season is the way it ended massive cliffhanger. Like, that is what roped you into the next season because you were like, oh my, you remember what happened at the end. And this one did not have a big cliffhanger.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Might be donezo. You know, so it kind of felt like oh, maybe they're expecting not to get renewed or I don't know. I don't know what it was. There wasn't one. but it's like the storylines with the adults and then there's the storylines with the kids the storylines with the adults were getting a little stale
Starting point is 00:20:41 I thought like something big needed to happen and then with the kids are just dragging out the one couple that everybody wants to get together the kids of the best friends will they won't they and it's like she had a different boyfriend then they broke up and he's
Starting point is 00:20:57 Tyler's looking at her a certain type away. I'll always be there for you. I'm your friend. Like they're just getting close again. And then they still didn't really give us the moment that we were all hoping for. Still in that season. Even at the end it was like maybe a little tease. There's like a long hug. Maybe that's what will be, if they do a third season, they'll go back to that. I would think that that that's what they would do. Have you been keeping up with New York Housewives? No, I have to watch New York. I recommend. I really liked the episode they did.
Starting point is 00:21:33 This past week was Aaron's 10th anniversary party. And the girls were just like kind of ruthless in a very silly way. Like they're just mean about like little things. And you're like, damn, why you got to be so rude? Like one of the girls, one of the girls left her party because she said there wasn't enough food. And she's like, who wants to go to no boo? Who wants to go to no boo? It's right down the street.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Who wants to go to no? She apparently left and went to know who by herself. And Aaron was like, did say leave? They were like, yeah. All good parties need a plethora of food. You can't run out of food. I'm like, he's like, say's like, yeah, I'm out. But that's like been their biggest thing.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Their sigh and Aaron like don't get along because sighs says Aaron doesn't feed the feed them enough. A lot of restaurants. That's it. A lot of restaurant judging and food shaming. A lot of. A lot. You need, it needs to hit the standards. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:22 And Bryn shamelessly flirting with Aaron's husband where it was like maybe a lot. little too far. Cool, cool. Like not, not really a joke. Yeah. At the 10th anniversary party being like, so when are you getting divorced? Oh my God. I don't know. A little uncomfortable. Yeah. Maybe don't do that. I got to catch up on that. But it has been good. So I have been liking, I have
Starting point is 00:22:42 been liking that. And so wait, what have you think of Love Island? You started watching, right? So I started watching Love Island USA. I skipped Tacasa more. I'm into it. I've watched like maybe four or five episodes at this point. I'm definitely going to continue watching. I am very interested. I've been locked in. I think it's, I think it's really good. I think it's starting to finally meet the UK standards in my opinion. I don't know
Starting point is 00:23:04 what the fuck happened with Sarah Highland on that episode. She did nothing wrong. I know. That was crazy. Nothing wrong. And the fact that she was called out for being disrespectful. I was like, she's the host. She has to make sure if somebody said they're leaving. The host has to go, are you sure about that? And it's not in a condescending way. It's like, I'm the host and I need to make sure this is your decision or else, you know, you don't want to regret this decision. I don't I think she was disrespectful at all. I thought that was wild, but also made for great TV.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Yeah. And then besides that, I watched... I'm going to pause. I'm going to hit pause so we can do one more tree cam. He needs it. Tree cam. Murray needs a treat. Noah, I actually think you should come in for this one.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Murray. Take the mic. Milkbone moment. You're not out of here yet, Murray. Oh, Murray gets his final treat. He gets his final milkbone of the episode. But you got to be a good boy, Murray. Does he do any tricks, Noah?
Starting point is 00:23:53 Does he do sit? Does he do paw? Oh, good boy. He did paw, everybody. I know if you're listening, you couldn't. You can hear him too. Chomp, chomp, chom. Come on, clean it up.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Today's episode once again is brought to you by Milkbone, a brand that believes that more dog makes everything better. It really does. I will say, you know, having a dog will we record is an absolute treat in itself. I'm not going to lie, it really made me want to bring Norman in. I was like, you know what? Why not bring him in next time? I know.
Starting point is 00:24:22 What if we just brought them all in together? I'll make my mom bring Flo and Lola. Because I was nervous about that. That would be funny if you had them all sitting like. But like I really think Norman would just sit here and like just cuddle. There's an initial freak out of like being excited you're in a new place. But I think if we waited like an hour to record and then have them. Plus if we had the whole place stock with Milkbone.
Starting point is 00:24:42 I think you'd be very excited. We would be totally fine. Murray, you've been in good hands this whole episode. You're a dog that makes doing a podcast better. He is very handsome. What a gentleman looking at. He has a big head. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:24:56 You know? Beautiful dog, truly. I also love when the Swiss Mountain Dogs, because they have that light brown coloring, so it gives them eyebrows. Mm-hmm. And they can be very expressive. He's so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:25:06 He is so handsome. And honestly, we loved having him come in, and we loved just giving him as many milkbone treats as we possibly could. And I think he enjoyed it too. Yeah, I think he's been told that perhaps this is his meal for the day because we have been giving him so many milk bone treats.
Starting point is 00:25:22 They are absolutely amazing. Make sure you are getting your milkbone treats for your dogs at milkbone.com and bring more dog to your life. Thanks, Murray. Thank you, Murray for coming in. Okay, unpause. I can't stop. He's majestic. I know.
Starting point is 00:25:39 What else? Did you watch any else? Cutthrow Kitchen. Yeah. One of my favorites. And I haven't watched a cooking show in a while before bed. I was like, you know what? I really want to just focus in on a competition.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I want to get locked in. I want to root for people. Cutthrow Kitchen has so many episodes. It's impossible. Like I have not seen all of them. I've seen a ton of them. I haven't seen all of them. Locked into Cutthrow Kitchen now at night before bed.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Because I really try to get off my phone in bed now ever since I deleted TikTok a while ago. But I do have TikTok again, though. You know, that's a really good rule to have. And I've been so bad with them recently too, scrolling in bed. Right. So ever since I deleted TikTok, I got better at it.
Starting point is 00:26:16 And now that I have TikTok again, I am really trying to stay with that rule. And I've been pretty good, actually. I'm impressed with myself. I am not clicking TikTok whenever I open my phone. I think I'm doing good. I'm trying to keep it that way. And that really means at night when you get into bed.
Starting point is 00:26:31 So just, you know, sit back, relax, put on a show it. You know. You mentioned on Monday that you watched the, you also watched it, the Jake Paul Problem Child. I did. I didn't mind it. Listen, I think. I'm not, I wouldn't consider myself a fan. I'm fascinated by that.
Starting point is 00:26:50 But it is fascinating. I'm fascinated. Yes, I agree. I agree. I think there's, listen, as much of a troublemaker both were or could have been and the still are arguably. The mistakes they have made. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:07 You do have to consider the gaining of fame and large, large, large amounts of money at a young age. Yeah. It's not even the fame. It's the money. Millions and millions and millions and millions. millions of dollars by the time you're 18 that you can do anything you want and that is going to make you feel invincible money can make an asshole at anyone right and I think that you don't feel bad for
Starting point is 00:27:34 them right because you're like they have so much money but you can kind of go okay they probably have had some dark times and I think that was talked about where like Logan and and their dad were nervous about Jake um you know they thought he was going to like take his life yeah because of some dark times and I think a lot of people that have been put in the spotlight and and all of that have dealt with sort of the same thing and that always makes me feel awful. Yeah. Interesting dynamic with their dad also. Right. I didn't really know too much about that relationship. So it's very, it's fascinating. I think whether you like them or you don't like them, I think their lives have been fascinating to watch unfold. And I do like that Jake and Logan have seemed to figure their
Starting point is 00:28:19 shit out, you know, because you never like to see family and brothers, like, fighting. They said they hated each other, which was obvious. Well, sometimes you think, was this for show? They were like, no, we straight up hated each other. And they admitted to doing a lot of, like, the times when we would talk about Jake Paul and Tanna, we were
Starting point is 00:28:35 like, these two fake or they're not fake. which we all assumed was fake, but you get roped into that world. And so I think the whole thing is just fascinating, a fascinating look into influencer lifestyle, YouTubers from a young age, a Vine Star, all of those people that just like took a shot at making videos and became huge from it.
Starting point is 00:28:56 And now they have to go, what do we do with our lives? Do we continue to go down this path of making videos or do we channel all of this energy into something else? And it seems like Jake is channeling everything into boxing, which I think is a good outlet. Yeah. For somebody who I think seems to be dealing with a lot, channeling into boxing. And a way to make a lot of money. Right. Make a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:29:17 You're still an entertainer. A lot of eyeballs. Yeah. And yeah, I think we're going to see that with a lot of, not boxing in general, but just like, I'm thinking about David Dobrick, right? Like, David Dobrick's been hush ever since everything happened with him. Yeah. Where does David Dobrick go? He's got the pizza place.
Starting point is 00:29:32 But you have to like, these people that start so young, they almost go, where do we venture out? What are you laughing at? Just the piece like that. He got the piece of place. No, I know. It's just like, well, you know, he's got dobrook. Well, that's what he made. That was his venture.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I don't know. He's got other than. I don't know. I know. I know. But they have to, they're still so young. So it's like they have to figure out a path that works for them. Whether it's still to create videos and entertain or channel that into something else.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Definitely. I agree. And so it's interesting. Those Netflix ones have been, they've been good, I will say. I've liked watching, I've liked watching them. And, yeah. Oh, going to see Barbie tonight about three weeks too late. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Finally. I totally forgot you. I haven't seen it yet. I haven't gotten the movies in so long. and I just, we've just been really busy. I just, and I don't know, there's been a few times I've contemplated going alone to see Barbie
Starting point is 00:30:26 because I was like, damn, I feel like everybody I know has seen it already. But then I also was like, I feel like this isn't a movie I want to see by myself, you know? Like I was like, oh, I want to go with my sister or like a friend or like some things, you know, so I was like, I don't know, maybe I'll just wait and I won't see.
Starting point is 00:30:44 At this point, like, you know, it's over. It is coming out on HBO Max very soon. I missed the wait. All right. I missed it. But my friend texting me was like,
Starting point is 00:30:55 do you want to go see Barbie Tuesday? I was like, I would love to. I would love nothing more than that. I would love to have but dying to go see it. I want to know. Everyone's already seen it.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Your thoughts right away. Right after. I will text you. Because it's been a while and I totally forgot that you haven't seen it at this point. I know. I haven't seen it.
Starting point is 00:31:08 And I also haven't seen Upenhimer either. Really? You'll be asleep by like 1030? 11? Yeah. I'm hitting the hay early these days. Really? I told you it's part of the,
Starting point is 00:31:17 Well, I don't know if it's that I'm falling this. I don't know what time I've been falling asleep. I have no idea. But it's like put everything down. I put my phone down at 10 p.m. Sunday night. Do you fall asleep to the TV? Yes. Yeah, you do.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Sometimes, sometimes not. Depends on the night. But I put my phone down at 10 p.m. Sunday night. I don't know what time I fell asleep. But I just gave myself like, all right, you got five more minutes left and then you're done. You should really. You have to like teach yourself or like we should make that a rule for us. I'm saying that like not just to you like no in general like we have to teach ourselves that
Starting point is 00:31:55 if something happens at a certain time it's okay if you miss it. That's what I've been trying to tell myself. If something happens after 10 p.m. If we make a group rule. It's all right. See, here's the thing. I won't even follow that because something will hit me at 1130 at one time and I'll text it. You know like it's right.
Starting point is 00:32:15 It sounds nice in theory. until you actually implement it. Well, because the only, like, the only reason I would ever feel inclined to answer a text that late would be something work-related, is what I'm saying. So I'm like, if you just know I'm not answering a work-related text past 10 p.m.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I just don't think that works for our job. You know what I mean? But it could. No, I don't think it works for our job. I'm talking more casual. But then how do you put your phone down at 10 p.m. I'll look at it. What if Noah Texas at 11 that he needs us stands or something? Right. Now I'm actually
Starting point is 00:32:50 being camper critical. Yes. Because I'm saying that's why we make a rule. I don't like a hard rule. It's just because I'm saying the word rule. That's it. It's only because I'm saying the word rule that you just completely flip-flop. You said actually I need to have my phone on me at all times.
Starting point is 00:33:08 You threw the word rule out there and I'm like, ooh, now we're married to it. You know what I mean? Yes. I just met if we could refrain from the late night work conversations, we'd all probably be a little better off. Right, but I don't think we do that often. We don't. But it's like, it's not, if one of us doesn't answer at 1045, it would be understandable.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Right. I don't think any of us get, like, upset, though. No, we definitely don't. Yeah, I kind of just, like, went backwards on what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, a little bit. It was more just, like, about, like, I don't want to be scrolling social media past a certain point. Like, if I don't see something.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Yeah, but if my phone is next to me, like, it's got to be not next to me. Completely. Like there's no like me looking at my text messages and not opening Instagram. Yeah. They all go hand and hand. It all goes hand in hand. They've trapped us. Completely trapped.
Starting point is 00:33:55 They know what they're doing. Yep. And, uh, all right. So maybe we'll have, we'll have a discussion at a different way about that. It'll probably, it'll probably change weekly on whether I put my phone down or not. It did. A lot. A lot came off.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Um, all right. Okay. Oh my gosh. Going to miss everybody. Not going to talk to them until Monday. Yeah. Gonna miss you guys. Love you guys.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Thank you so much for watching. We got like four more segments off. Yeah, we do. Talk to it at the end. Bye. All right, we are recapping last night's bachelorette finale. We have Trent here. We have our cores light.
Starting point is 00:34:27 This is nice, cold. Mountains are blue. We're feeling good. And you know who probably needs to have some relaxing time? Charity. It's been a long season. She's probably thinking about the days that she's going to get to retire. And all the freedom that comes with that.
Starting point is 00:34:45 But who says you have to wait decades before? you get to kick back and chill out. You can take advantage of that free will and spend the summer chilling like a retiree and pair those moments with Coorsight, the beer that's made to chill. You know, we saw in the finale. They just got a whole vacation paid for.
Starting point is 00:34:59 They're looking to relax, chill out, maybe have some nice ice cold Coors Light. I got to hold it this way away from my mouth so you can see that nice blue mountain, ready to go. They turn blue when your beer is ready to drink when it's nice and cold, so you always know when it's time to grab another.
Starting point is 00:35:16 It's perfect for all you're going. summer plans or lack there of no judgment here. So this summer, chill like you're retired with Coors Light, you know, all season long. We have been drinking Coors Light on cutting stems. It's been great. So get Coors Light delivered straight to your door
Starting point is 00:35:31 with drizzle your Instagram, but going to Coorslight.com slash chicks. And always celebrate responsibly from Coors Brewing Company, Golden Colorado. Cheers. Thank you guys. Thank you guys so much. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes. All right, everyone. We are here with Trent
Starting point is 00:35:59 and a very special guest that's running away. Murray, Noah's dog, has joined us, as you know, because we talked about that at the beginning of the episode. He's been here the whole time. But he's been here the whole time. And you know what? He just does what he pleases and that's okay. Free roamer.
Starting point is 00:36:13 You can go wherever you want to. He's in charge. But Trent, we are here with you. How you doing? I'm doing great. I mean, there's a dog in the office. That always makes me happy. That's the only reason you showed up today.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Pretty much, yeah. Yeah. It's a big deal. That's how we got you to do this segment, really. It was on my Google calendar. It said Murray in the office. and I was like, I got to be in the city for that. And I'm very excited that I'm here because Murray is a sweetheart.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Yeah, you're a big cloud chaser. That's what that's about. No, I'm not. Well, maybe, but I'm also a big dog guy. Yeah. A little bit of both. We are going to chat a little bit about the Bachelorette finale here since we do have you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:46 And it's a very bachelor. We have this. We've got charity and Dotton coming on the show as well. So very Bachelor heavy, Bachelorette heavy, I guess I should say. Go, good dive there, Murray. Hey, Murray. Hey, bud. He's ready to go.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Hey, big boy. He is a big dog. Sit, Marie. 120 pounds, I think, I heard. Yeah. Marysit. Majestic. There we go.
Starting point is 00:37:09 Yeah. Look at that. What do we guys want to talk about first? My first thing I want to touch on is we are doing a bachelor recap. Yeah. We could not put a cutting stems into this episode. Why is that, Maria? One of the main reasons being I was foolish.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I was being foolish. last night during the live stream. The chatters of YouTube, the YouTube live chat, were telling me to do things, and I was acting upon them, and I was listening to them.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Chicks in the office fans, you own me, you command me, and I listen, and that's what happened. Yes, we picked up on it pretty quickly. You sniffed it out fast, Fran. Yeah, I mean, she can't keep, like, she's got to tell. She's like, she's like, giggling to herself.
Starting point is 00:37:56 She's, like, going to touch her foot. She's, like, laughing to herself. I'm like, she's not doing this on her own. I just like being interactive with them, and that's what it was all about. They were telling me what to do, and I was listening, and some may call that immature. I call it fun, and I call it interacting with the chicks in the office listeners. And we do now have to completely redo. That's why we're doing this.
Starting point is 00:38:17 No, but that's what the fun is all about. I thought it was fun. We're happy to have you here today. You lazy son of a bitch. I'm happy to hear. You do owe us money. I know. Pay up, big boy.
Starting point is 00:38:28 I just never have cash. I just, I'm living in a, I live. It is so lame and unattractive of you to not have cash. I don't care. I don't care. I'm trying. I live a cashless lifestyle. As a lot of people do. The jar needs like 15 more dollars.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Oh, you know, a lot of people have gone cashless. $15. A lot of places are just card, no cash these days. It used to be cash only. Now they're doing card only. Yeah. Times aren't changing. It's all digital.
Starting point is 00:38:58 It is. It's just digital money. A couple of 20 here, 20 there. Carry at least a 20 on you. An emergency 20 will always do you well. You know when I take out my emergency 20, which won't suit you. But whenever I get my nails done, I hit that ATM in the place because I like to leave a hefty tip. You like that?
Starting point is 00:39:19 That's good. Yeah, I like to throw in that I leave a large tip. And I always take out an extra 20 or two because I'm like, you know what? I may need that. And I always end up needing it. I will say I got cash recently, and it was because of you because I went to a massage place that you recommended. Oh, my God, we didn't talk about that. We did not.
Starting point is 00:39:34 It's a great place. And I took cash with me there to tip. I was, we didn't talk about this. I didn't even talk about it with you in person, but I was so happy you took my advice. Trent was looking for a massage, you know, no funny business. You just wanted a straight-a-massage. No, anytime a guy asks for like a massage recommendation, they're like, is this guy trying to get a handjob or work? No, and I was like, I have a straight-up.
Starting point is 00:39:58 massage place for you near my home on Long Island. And I didn't think he was actually going to listen to me. Next day he texts me, this place is legit. And I was like, yes, he went. I have been looking for a place on Long Island and I can't find one around me. They're always booked. Maybe I'm not looking at the right places. So then you recommended a spot to me.
Starting point is 00:40:16 And I looked it up and it was like 20 minutes for me. So I went there. I got an hour long massage. Deep tissue. Swedish. Oh, Swedish. Interesting. No deep tissue? Deep tissue, I'm afraid it's going to hurt.
Starting point is 00:40:26 Oh, I have. have to go deep tissue. Swedish for me, might as well not even get one. It's like barely touch. I need them to fucking beat the shit out of my back. No, see, I don't want that.
Starting point is 00:40:36 I just, I'm fine with just like light. I went medium pressure. She asked me right before she started. She's like, what type of pressure? And I said medium. She's like,
Starting point is 00:40:42 great. So then we did. Swedish to me is just a lot of rubbing and not a lot of massaging. See, but I'm not going there. I didn't like any of those movements. I just did.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Nope. Are you going to have something healed? Are you going to just get massage? Like, people go there because they have, like, tense muscles. Like, usually it's my neck and my upper back. And I need, like, I have knots that need to be, like, needed. See, I don't think I have that. Or maybe I do.
Starting point is 00:41:08 You probably do. Maybe I'll get one next time. But I wanted the first time I wanted to be Swedish. Regardless, you had a great experience. Amazing. Yeah. Amazing. So that's good.
Starting point is 00:41:16 I had cash then because I wanted to tip. At the end of the day, trying to your life, I don't care what you do with it. If you have cash yet, you don't want to. Who am I to judge? The jar is, you know, it needs some more cash. Next time. But we can just quickly We can just
Starting point is 00:41:31 Talk about some stuff quickly Because We have charity on also So we'll be talking to her about it Finale was three hours As always And right off the bat It started off with Aaron
Starting point is 00:41:47 Having no shot at staying Which was a conversation that we had Because we all watched together obviously And it jumped right into the roast ceremony Well basically it was like Oh Aaron come have dinner with me and like we'll talk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:59 And that's really all he got. And then it went right into a rose ceremony. And it was just, she just couldn't keep him. They made out a lot on the beach. And it confused me. I thought there's no way she's going to let him come back, bring him to the rose ceremony, and then send him right home. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:16 But boy, is that what she did. Mm-hmm. Yeah, you know, I guess maybe they told her like the rose ceremonies, at least she did, at least she did pull him aside, you know? Yeah. It wasn't like she really just gave the roses of Joey and Don and left him standing there again. True. Like doing that whole process again.
Starting point is 00:42:35 It was like, all right, I am going to send you home, but let's at least do it, do it privately. Yeah, I think maybe the whole making out thing that you're referring to, maybe she just wanted to see, like, one more time she felt something and she clearly didn't. She had to double check. Because I'm sure you're confident in your decision until the guy comes back and is like begging for you to take it back. And then you're like, hmm, maybe I should think about this again. And Kelly mentioned this on cutting stems, but he wasn't even third place. He was fourth place. So he had to go.
Starting point is 00:43:04 And I see, like, it was kind of ruthless, but at the same time, we needed something to add to the finale because it was beautiful. The whole thing, the finale was great. It was standard finale, which we haven't gotten in a while. But they always got to throw in a little extra, a little extra drama. I think they needed a little. The producers, I think, had a lot to do with the whole Aaron coming back situation. I think the way that this lined up, though, is like perfect. like bachelor
Starting point is 00:43:28 scenario, right? You get the love story and you get the bachelor that everybody wants. Yeah. 100% it really was, they had all the right people. They did a great job casting this season.
Starting point is 00:43:39 She's just speaking with her hands very much right now. Do you not normally speak with your hands? No, I do, but it's been a lot more like gentler. The gesture. A lot. Yeah. And I've been gripping this like I'm on a ride of Universal.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Why? I don't know. It's just certain outfits. I have to adjust the way I'm sitting sometimes, I feel, even though if I just sat normally, it would be fine. But sometimes I just, these chairs screw me up. Okay. Fair.
Starting point is 00:44:11 But I've gotten better since we've moved into the studio at first. Like, when we first moved into the studio, I basically cry about, like, the setup of this situation. Just because we couldn't, it was, we were not used to it. We had a table in front of us. Yeah. And then we changed these big chairs. I wouldn't,
Starting point is 00:44:27 actually cry, but like it was it was stressful trying to figure out how to sit in them. Because when we have guests come in, you see how right now my chair is facing this way, but you are this way. True. And so it's hard to navigate. I'm trying to talk to both you at the same time. You get what I mean? I do.
Starting point is 00:44:42 I absolutely get what you mean. Sorry. Back to The Bachelor. No, you're so fine. You're so fine. Murray burped earlier and I was fired up about that. Yeah. Well, he's chillings now.
Starting point is 00:44:55 So we're good. it was the perfect ending because they had the perfect bachelor come in second. Like it's like they just, you know, when you have that right there ready to go. Yeah. When it did kind of seem like maybe a little fake out. I don't know. It really felt like she was going to pick Joey. It was just felt like she was saying a lot of very positive things about Joey.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Her family seemed to lean a little bit towards Joey even though they refused to tell her what to do. which I liked. I liked as well, but she was upset about it. It was the right move, though. Like, because look what happened. She picked Dottin, right? And if, like, Charity's mom was like, hey, you know, Dotton's great and all.
Starting point is 00:45:40 I think you guys are going to have a great future if you do pick him, but like, I don't know, we felt like there was more of a connection with Joey. Charity would always have that in her mind. And instead, Charity's moms, and we're not telling you. Well, the family clearly liked Joey more. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:53 It did seem that way. So I think if she had gotten the, charity had gotten the answer from them that she wanted. They would have said Joey. And then she picks Joey and who knows what happens. Then it's the family's fault if it doesn't work out. Yeah. Even if Sherry doesn't say that, it's in the back of her mind.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Like, you told me that you thought Joey was better, but I want a dot and then it's a whole mess. In some venting sessions later on in life, she would be like, I listened to my parents instead of my own heart. So I think it was good that her mom was like, you need to figure out what you want. She was like, Charity was like, well, I don't know what I want. And then her mom's like, then that's the answer. And Charity was like, I guess that's the answer. I was like, all righty. It got contentious.
Starting point is 00:46:31 I mean, Charity's sister straight up was like, I see it more with Joey. Right. So I'm sure now they've spent a lot of time together and the family has gotten to see Don and charity. And really at the end of the day, it's up to charity. Yeah. No, Charity seems to be very happy with her decision and we can obviously talk about, we'll talk about that more with her because it's like she, you know, that's it. She seems very happy, beautiful proposal. Fiji, stunning.
Starting point is 00:46:58 Sonding. One of the most beautiful. Trent learned that's far too far for him to travel to. Yeah, you don't think you'll ever go. I didn't realize it was right off the coast of Australia. Where's the farthest you'll go these days? Depends on what it's for. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:12 But almost anywhere but Australia. Australia is too much. Yeah. You got to, especially when you fly from New York, you fly six hours to New York. What about like Tokyo? How far is Tokyo? Far. I think it's like flying to Australia. Dang.
Starting point is 00:47:27 I don't want to cross that off my list, but it's almost too far. Yeah, I don't want to cross that off my list either. It seems like a really cool place. I'll tell you what, the mistake that we made when we went to Australia is we flew from New York to L.A. And our flights were so close. We literally walked off in L.A. and then on to our Australia flight. So we were on a flight for 24 hours straight. That was a mistake.
Starting point is 00:47:47 How long is the flight from L.A. to Australia? 16 hours. Holy shit. Yeah, dude. Economy. I don't remember. Probably. At that time, probably. I remember I was able to fall asleep on the plane, which I can't sleep on planes, but my body was like, we simply have to.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Yeah, yeah, you must. There's no choice. Yeah. So I slept for a few hours, which was nice. Man. Dude. I don't know if I could have a 16-hour flight. When you're leaving Australia at the airport, like the customs agent or whatever, they ask you, they're like, do you think you'll ever come back to Australia?
Starting point is 00:48:19 And I said, no. I had a lovely time. It is lovely. Thank you for having me. I will not be coming back. And did you see a kangaroo? I saw a bunch of kangaroos. Cool.
Starting point is 00:48:29 In pouches? Yes. We wanted to find them. We're like, if we're going to Australia, we have to find them. You just have to drive into the country and then just like walk around and you find them. They're actually scary. Are they like hopping around? They are.
Starting point is 00:48:40 But then there's like the alpha male one. They're like, they're like jacked. They're like, what are you doing here? Don't fuck with my people. Yeah. So then, but I liked Australia. The only thing I'll say about Australia is it's very much like America. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:51 It's very Americanized. You don't feel that different when you're over there. Like what first place. I ate when we got in because we got in like late or early. I don't know the time change. I just went to Domino's across the street. So it's like I could do that on Long Island. You know, I realize that's like a lot of places really though.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Like when I went to London, like I don't know what I was expecting. But when we got on the parkway or the highway, it looked like the southern state. Like I was like, I was like, this just looks like I'm on Long Island. Like every single like park or a highway in certain like looks the same in certain places. What is just like? European highway was going to... I just thought it was going to be like... Highway in the UK.
Starting point is 00:49:31 I thought it was going to be like magical. Like I was like expecting, I don't know what I was expecting, but I was expecting like dinosaurs on the side of the road. Like I just was expecting something and I looked around and I was like, huh, looks like I'm on Long Island. Now I think if we went to Tokyo, I think a place like that would be much different. Yes. But we went to places that are largely Americanized or they feel like America.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Yeah. So I don't want to go to Australia again because it's... Like, you've already been there, done that. I can just walk outside my apartment. I feel like I'm there. You can check so many places off your list. Yeah. I want to go to Europe.
Starting point is 00:50:03 That's what I want to do. I want to do more Europe. London. Although it sounds like it looks just like a long island. No, no. And once you get into like the city and the English side, it's really nice. You need a bat. You need a luggage pole in like Paris or.
Starting point is 00:50:19 That would be great. Italy or something. You know? Yes. For a lot. Something for you. Yeah. I would definitely go there.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Yeah. But anything over like 10 hours. hours on that. Yeah, yeah. What if we booked an entire trip, right? Yeah. All of us together and we booked everything for you. You would just come? Or would you debate like the group of people you're going with? Like would there be some factors. Well, who is the group of people? Like us. Like in this room. Yeah. And then we're going to Europe as a group. If we were, it's a hypothetical, if we were to go to Europe as a group and we were like, Trent, you're all booked. You're done. You just got to hop on the plane and come. Yes. I would actually say yes. I would say yes to that because when I
Starting point is 00:50:52 went to Hawaii and I've talked about this on the golf show but um the only thing that was missing from that trip is I just people people more specifically friends more specifically people people I know people I know more specifically just people to go to dinner with yeah yeah dinners were the weirdest part I know it told me that when I went to Puerto Rico by myself because you're like you kind of do your own thing during the day which I'm fine like if I if I went with people yeah to Maui or whatever you could do something everybody go do whatever you want I think everybody if you go on a group vacation some days, you just got to do what you want. That's me every day.
Starting point is 00:51:24 If you want to go whale watching or you want to go to the zip line, I want to lay at the pool, let's all do different things. But dinner, I think big dinners every night would be nice. That was the part that I was missing. So in this hypothetical Europe trip, that feels like something we could do. Yeah, that definitely does. I would do it. I would do it.
Starting point is 00:51:41 All right, I won't get my hopes up. Moving on. The live show, Jesse Palmer was, we had Jesse Palmer hosting. I feel like we don't even have too much. say about the actual show, you know, because the live show is always the dramatic parts, but there's Barb and her, and, is Peter Weber's father also Peter Weber? I believe so. Or I guess that's the bowler.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Yeah, I don't know. So Barb was there. I just seemed like for show, really no other reason. They locked us in. Smile and waved to the camera. Ria said it like, as soon as you see Barb and we were going to watch a new way, but as soon as you see Barb, I'm like, well, now I got to see what's up. That's why they did it, right? Yeah, they kept showing her. That's why
Starting point is 00:52:23 they're smart. They probably all sat around. They're like, who do we need to invite to the finale? They're like, let's invite Barb. They showed Barb's. People freak out when they see her. They showed Barb's reaction more than they showed Charity's family's reaction. Speaking of Charity's family, her brother was there, the first episode, right? But then never to be shown again. He went undercover. He was there undercover. People were like, oh, we were expecting to see Charity's brother again. But maybe since he was at the beginning,
Starting point is 00:52:48 yeah. And like we said, maybe he's busy. Fiji is far. Fiji, too. Fiji is far. He's like me. He's like, I'm not going there. Yeah, yeah. I'm not going to Fiji.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Well, well, that's another question we can ask. There you go. That is very true. But yeah, Barr being there really locked me in for the three hours because I was like, Peter's up to something. Yeah. We even started tossing around. We're like, Pete's the next bachelor.
Starting point is 00:53:06 I know people would hate it. We threw around a lot of ideas. I would love it. I would. Yeah. If they announced, I said this last night, if they announced Peter's next bachelor, I would have jumped out of my chair with joy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:17 I think if we're talking. You would have lost it. I would have gone crazy. If we're talking power rankings for who I want to be The Bachelor, it's Tyler Cameron and then it's Pete again. Yeah. I think it's like 1A, 1B for me. Just because it was so chaotic and yes,
Starting point is 00:53:31 you cannot remake that kind of magic. But I think something tells me he would. Like something about Peter just tells me he's the same person he was when he went on that show. And he would make the same mistakes again. Yeah. And I'd be willing to watch it every time. I agree.
Starting point is 00:53:46 They did a little Bachelor in Paradise promo That's coming on Thursdays now They're screwing everybody up every season Oh this season first It was from 9 to 11 And now we're getting Bachelor in Paradise And Golden Bachelor on Thursdays Whenever we ever watch a Bachelor show on Thursdays
Starting point is 00:54:09 It's the strikes fault It is? Yeah because they don't normally ABC on Thursdays They play Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 in the fall. But they can't play it this year because there's no... There's no programming. There's no new seasons being made. No writings being... No writings happening. No actors are acting.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Yeah. Sarah just told me they might go into the new year. Yeah, that's a problem. I think it'll go away past that. That's a major problem. So that's what I'm saying, like, ABC, that's why they're like, hey, let's throw on Golden... Because this was a shift. It was supposed... This is not how it was. Right. Like, the original Golden Bachelor announcement, it was like, oh, this will air on Tuesdays. like whatever. Now all of a sudden we're on Thursdays it's because they have to
Starting point is 00:54:49 now we're going to get a lot of reality programming. What was that show a lot of reality programming? They had during COVID, the music one. Something to your heart. Something to your heart. Listen to your heart. Listen to your heart. I think it was listen to your heart. Is that right? Listen to listen to your heart. Listen to your heart.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Wow. That's a weird feeling. Listen to your heart. And the people from that didn't really translate into the universe. No. I don't even remember one of them. One of the girls' names was Rudy. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Somebody and also somebody fell in love in a guitar center. Point for you. Yeah. I remember love being made, not made, but found. Love was made. Maybe they did make love in a guitar center. Where is your head at? They made love in the guitar center.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Did they make love in the guitar center? No, they found love at the guitar center. No, that was a show that they made. But honestly, we could have more shows like that. And then they cooked it up. They are there. I think everybody is, it's a scramble now. Do you think we can make a show?
Starting point is 00:55:52 Listen. Well, now we're touching sensitive subject. Because if we start making a show, people are going to say, oh, you're not in on the strike. We are. But if we need to fill a void for other people. A reality show? Because we can't make a, we can't make a fiction show. It's not happening.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Wait. We can make a reality show. We can't make a fiction show. We can't make a fiction show. Why can't we make a fiction show? Why can't we make a script? Because everyone's on strike. Right, because then...
Starting point is 00:56:20 We can act, we can write, we can direct. No, that's disrespectful to the strike. Okay, that's what I was saying. That's where you reach sensitive. Like territory where people go, that's disrespectful. But we, in a hypothetical world, we could write, act, and direct. In a hypothetical world, if we want to be insensitive. It's not ending up on ABC, but sure.
Starting point is 00:56:41 I don't know really what's going on with the writer strike. Yeah. Let's just give those people what they want. Let's give everybody. what they want so we can have normal bachelor program. I think that's the general consensus besides the people that are like higher up there that don't want. I'd give it to them.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Well, those people stink. Give the people what they want, give the people what they deserve. They cut down trees so they didn't have shade. What? In the strike. No, they didn't. That's petty. That's so petty.
Starting point is 00:57:06 You haven't seen any of this? No, I, you know, I've... It's so bad. Like, it's not funny, but you're like so taken aback by that they're doing that. That is so petty. I'll have to look more into it. You just always makes you think of the quote. there was an anonymous
Starting point is 00:57:18 exec that said that they will wait it out until people start to lose their homes. What? Yeah, you were missing this? I see headlines. I see headlines? I'm busy with the golf show.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I know, you are. We're very proud of you. Oh, if you're in Atlanta, not to plug our own merch. If you're out of the Tour Championship, go ahead and buy this. It's in the merch town. No, we're very proud of you.
Starting point is 00:57:38 It's very cool. I'm bleeping that all out. Yeah, that's right. We're big fans of you. I'm big fans of you guys. Yeah. Huge. Everyone's doing good here
Starting point is 00:57:46 Was there anything else from the Oh, Paradise, that's what I was talking about. Paradise thing, you know, a little teaser. A lot of people we didn't recognize We'll see what happens. I haven't heard. I kind of like I'm flying blind into this season of Paradise.
Starting point is 00:57:59 Yeah. I haven't seen a single spoiler. I haven't seen a single thing. So I'm flying blind, which I like. So I guess Sean isn't in it, right? Because they didn't show them in all or maybe it comes in like later. He could always come in later, you know?
Starting point is 00:58:08 Yeah, they were showing the preview and I was like, I don't recognize like a single face here. Blake Morn's popped up. I was excited about that. Katie Thurston. Katie Thurston, Hannah Brown. Hannah Brown's obviously going to, like, host a date of some sort. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:58:19 I mean, she's in a committed relationship. But is Katie Thurston? No. Coming on to this show. Who knows. As like a conestant. I doubt it. I highly doubt it, too.
Starting point is 00:58:28 I think she would be doing something else, but who knows? I feel like that's like a let's scare Blake and then she leaves kind of thing. Like he's like, my ex is here. Right. That's what happens when Blake, like, finds a connection and like it's going well. And the producers are like, let's fucking have Katie show up. Remember how fucked up it was? that Joe and Serino were like having this great connection
Starting point is 00:58:47 and then Kendall walked out of. They just flew Kendall down. Unreal. Ruthless. And Joe, you know what? He stood his ground. Yeah, I feel like it's the same kind of vibe, you know? Same.
Starting point is 00:58:56 So we'll see what happens there. There was, it seemed to be a medical emergency for one contestant who I did look up when I got home because I was like, who is this? She thinks she was sent home on the first night of Clayton season. Oh, come on. Exactly. Come on. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Why are we reaching? She's the one that showed up. She showed up in like a bikini out of the rose out of the limo. My memory is trash. I mean, I only have it in my brain now because I saw the photo, you know, or else I would not have remembered. If you think about how long we've been watching this show, how many contestants there are, I'm surprised I can remember anybody.
Starting point is 00:59:31 Yeah, I know. I'll like, if there's like, if I'll see somebody, maybe I'll recognize them. But night one, no way. Yeah. No way. Yeah. So that's happening. Joey is the bachelor, which I think everybody's very excited about.
Starting point is 00:59:43 He's going to be a great bachelor. he got a haircut, he looked fantastic everybody's freaking out over Joey because I was saying while we were watching the show last night when he was still on charity season he looks like that episode of Seinfeld where like the water pressure isn't right in Kramer's house and Jerry's apartment
Starting point is 00:59:58 and it just looked matted down but if he cut like part of it off and it looks way better. The volume was back the volume was back. Yeah Joey's going to be a good bachelor I think he is also they did a weird thing with like girls in the crowd that were maybe going to be in his next season that's always uncomfortable
Starting point is 01:00:13 It was very uncomfortable. I wish they would stop doing that. You just got to stop doing that. Yeah. Don't do it. Make the show a half hour shorter, you know? Like, there's no need to add that filler. It could have been two hours with the amount of commercials they had.
Starting point is 01:00:25 I know. It's just like, you just don't need that filler in those moments. Who is that? Like, you got to think if you're ABC, like, is that grabbing people? Is that bringing people in? What's it doing? What it's doing to us for people who watch it, it's making us cringe. I know.
Starting point is 01:00:41 And it just makes us more tired, too. Like, it's like, oh. we're waiting for this whole big tease because they always say it's something so crazy and at the end it's like hey here's an envelope you can't open it that was it which by the way she should definitely open and say she lost totally i don't know how you're going to keep that until totally you keep it open the whole time yeah i would open it immediately yeah go in and be like hold it up to a light yeah exactly there's ways to open and reseil what's in there right can't be anything that go oh he said it wasn't a day car you automatically make it to the end that's yeah
Starting point is 01:01:13 The only thing that would be like, skip something. Skip 10 spaces. Yeah. What do we think's in there? Not a date card. What would, what stupid thing would they do? Oh, I bet it's, you know what I bet it is? You know what I bet it's.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Get out of jail free. I bet it's, I bet it's like a kiss card. Like, oh, I trade this in for one kiss. It's like, I feel like they can't do that. That would be so lame. You can't do that? Yeah, like what is then he's got to, if you got to force a kiss on him? you have to kiss me I have the kiss card I have a ticket I have a kiss ticket all right maybe not maybe it's not
Starting point is 01:01:48 that ticket says I get one kiss pucker up but it's probably yeah no it's probably not that no I kind of feel like maybe it's like a be you're safe for the first first roast am rony or something that's a lot that's too much it is what else could it be it's a kiss card which is also just like not well obviously run this tape back when it's a kiss card yeah I think it's going to be a kiss card honestly I feel you are onto something. Okay. But I also think it's going to be like you're safe from elimination. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:16 And also just unfair because it's up to Joey. Yeah. Well, I mean, that's how. You said that with such attitude. It's up to Joey. It is. But they love doing this shit now. That's like when they gave the, the, um,
Starting point is 01:02:30 Brianna. What was her name? Yes. From Zach season. When they, they had America's Rose. She had a rose the first night already. And we gave it to her. Not Zach.
Starting point is 01:02:40 There cannot be in America. because Rose. Yeah, because that's what I'm saying. See, here's the thing now. Now, we have like, we have September, October November, we got four months to decide what's in that envelope. And here's the thing. Now I really want to know what's in that card. Maybe we can like, don't worry, I'll find out. I was going to say, why don't, why don't we like DM her, find her Instagram? Bring her on, open the envelope. Yeah, yeah. What's in the envelope? We'll figure it out. She can hand it to us. We'll open it. She won't get in trouble. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:11 But it was a good finale, all in all. I was. Very happy for them. It's one where you get a good ending like that is just like love wins. They get Charity and Don are going on a beautiful vacation. Grease. They got a trip to Greece out of this thing. But she's going on dancing with the stars.
Starting point is 01:03:26 And she's going on dancing with the stars, which I said during cutting stems makes me a tad nervous because sometimes the couples don't make it out of dancing with the stars. Gabby and What's His Face did not make it. They did not make it. It's too much. And there's been many past ones. Nick and. The girl he picked. Vanessa?
Starting point is 01:03:44 I think, I feel like Nick did dancing with the stars then. Nick and Vanessa dated a while, though, before they broke up. Yeah, but he was on dancing with the stars. I'm just talking about being on dancing with stars. While she was with Jason. No, I'm saying it didn't on end well. I'm pretty sure one grocery store Joe was on dance with the stars. He was still with Kendall.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Oh, so you're saying if you go on dancing to the stars, it's basically... It's kiss it up. It's like the maddening. cover. Right. Yep. I, it's just too much. Yeah. It's, it's just too much at once. Like Hannah Brown went on Dancing with the Stars and she was single. She was single, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:22 It was like, that's the best way to go on Dancing with the Stars. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yeah. I hope they, I'm, I'm, we're rooting for them. I really want Charity and Dodden to just last forever. I was saying, like, what if she didn't necessarily want to go on Dancing with the Stars and they just sprung it on or like, you're going on Dancing with the Stars? And she was like, oh my God.
Starting point is 01:04:40 It's like, well, I didn't even have time to think about this. Right. She probably said at one point was just like, oh yeah, maybe I would do that. Yeah. Right. But when you just get engaged to somebody and then you can finally be in public together and now you're like, oh wait, now I have to go do Dancing with the Stars? No, but you're doing Dancing with the Stars. You're going to be like, I can't say no to Dancing with the Stars. I say this as respectfully as I can. That show still has some cachet, right?
Starting point is 01:05:03 Sure does. Okay. We're back on ABC, baby. When we were on Disney Plus, they're bringing us back to the big screen. Really? Yeah. What? Bringing us back. It was live on Disney Plus last season, and they said, no, bring it back to ABC.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Have they announced the lineup like other big stars? As of right now, we only know that it's Charity and Ariana from Bader Pump Rules. Okay. Yeah. So, we'll see. But, yeah. And Julianne Huff is the new host. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Tyra Banks got the boot because she stuck. Oh, did she? Yep, she was terrible. Wow. Terrible. How are you terrible at that job? She couldn't read a teleprompter. I don't think I'd be able to do that.
Starting point is 01:05:39 She got a lot of names wrong. She had a She had a Why am I spacing on his name Steve Harvey? She pulled a Steve Harvey And said the wrong name On somebody being eliminated She sounds electric
Starting point is 01:05:53 Yeah I don't think I've said the wrong name in the crowd Have you guys ever tried to read a teleprompter? It's also just like it became the Tair Bank show You know Like she had a big The outfit changes The motte like it was just
Starting point is 01:06:05 Telepronctors go really slow You can set the speed It kind of depends It depends on like. I get so anxious. I've done it once and I was like, I don't like this. She was just the kind of host. We're not a live show and has to remind everyone that they're live.
Starting point is 01:06:18 You know, hey guys, you never know what's going to happen. We're live. We're live. She probably said it three or four times. Yeah, you can't have someone make the show about them. They've got to be a part of the show. Yeah, no. And it didn't feel like she did that.
Starting point is 01:06:30 She didn't immerse herself into the experience. Now Alfonso Ribeiro. That's my guy. Yeah. He is co-host. Oh, he's great. And he has fully immersed himself into the Dancing with the Stars. He is a huge golfer and he comes on our show a couple times a year and he is an entertaining guy.
Starting point is 01:06:45 You know what? This is actually the time for me to do this. And I would like two minutes to discuss claim to fame. You guys have no idea what I'm talking about. Okay. But I want the people to hear me on my thoughts on this show. Claim to Fame, Trent, a show on ABC hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas. Famous siblings go on and the whole game is like you got to guess who everyone's famous sibling is.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Okay. Or relative. It could be an uncle. It could be a father, grandfather, whatever. Cousin, second cousin. This guy is skating through to the end because nobody can figure out who he is. And these are the dumbest contestants of all time.
Starting point is 01:07:21 If you're not up to date, skip over this, but if you are, these contestants know that this guy's, and you know what's more embarrassing? It's like, your relative is either so famous that it's guests right away or they're not that famous and people can't figure it out. And then it's like, that's kind of, embarrassing. Or they're like
Starting point is 01:07:40 famous from years ago and some people can like name any famous person ever and other people just like they cut off a certain age and they're like Give him the hints. Yeah this guy is the sibling The guy is a relative of a 70s teen
Starting point is 01:07:58 icon. He had a Vegas residency he wore colorful coats. He's from Utah and those are like basically the Big clues that they had right now. Didn't he do a show with somebody else as well? Like he had a female partner?
Starting point is 01:08:13 Yes, but I don't know if that's a clue. But yes, but yes, yes. I think I know the answer. And it's because I was in the room when you guys were talking about it last man. Right, we were in the room. It's Donnie Osmond. It is Donnie Osmond.
Starting point is 01:08:25 I could have played it off like I just knew, but I was here when you guys were on it. Would you have known otherwise? Do you know who Donnie Osmond is? I know who that is, but I don't think I would have got. Who did he do the show with the girl? His sister or no. Is his old family?
Starting point is 01:08:37 Like they were a whole famous family. It was like Donnie and Marie. Donnie and Marie. That came to me. So, all right. So my question is, please keep going. So the contestants, they all have these clues. They're throwing out names, Billy Idol, Elton John.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Not from Utah. 17 idols. Let me tell you something. When Ellen John was thrown out, four of these people were like, yes, we got it. This is it. Like, we nailed it. And they have a guessing ceremony. and somebody has to guess.
Starting point is 01:09:10 There's a guesser or guessy. If you are the guesser and you're wrong, you're sent home and your relative is revealed. So this guy goes up there, he's like, looking at him in the eye. He goes, Elton John. As if Elton John's relative would be unclean thing. And like, literally someone did say,
Starting point is 01:09:29 is Elton John from Utah? It's like, oh my God. Would Elton John be considered a 70s teen? No. Honestly, it is really unbelievably embarrassing. And let me tell you something, this guy looks exactly like Donnie Osmond, which is why I think it's going to be so embarrassing. I think he's going to win.
Starting point is 01:09:50 And it's like, that's kind of embarrassing because the only reason he won, people have guessed him three or four times. The only reason he's going to win is because nobody knows who Donny Osmond is anymore. How old are the people who are guessing? They're younger. They're probably in their 20s and 30s. Yeah, that's the nobody's going to get it. Nobody.
Starting point is 01:10:07 So it's just like... And Donnie Osmond is very famous. But the thing is very famous, then nobody's going to get him. If me and you know Donnie Osmond, why wouldn't these people know him? Right. Or that you know that El-John wasn't born in Utah. Yeah. That's tough.
Starting point is 01:10:21 Gotta know that. At the very least... I mean, even Billy Idol is like a British superstar. You got to, you got to know which ones are from our country and which ones aren't. At the very least. But the way, it was gold. The way that these people freaked down. He is and he's Donnie's son.
Starting point is 01:10:38 This is his fucking son. We looked up a picture last night. They looked exactly the same. I think the funniest. I like want to go back and watch this episode because I only heard about it and read about it online was Tom Hanks's like cousin. Yeah, Tom Hanks' niece.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Or Tom Hanks' niece had an absolute meltdown. Meltdown. First episode. Meltdown for being like sent home or something. Like arguably the most famous person, but it's like the really famous people don't get like their children on the show. know, it's like they get a cousin or a niece or a nephew.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Like, that's my aunts. Like, you know, it's not. That was my next question. How involved are the famous people in the show? Not at all. Not at all. Maybe they do it. They send a video message when you get sent home.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I was going to say, I can't imagine Tom Hanks being like. No, they just put up a picture of Tom Hanks. Let's be real. Tom Hanks has no control over his family. Like Lil Nas X, his brother was on. And like at the end, he got sent home Lil Nas, popped up. And he's like, that's my brother. Love you.
Starting point is 01:11:35 Like so proud of you. Tom Hanks did not make that video message. I think Tom Hanks just throws his hands in the air and goes, I cannot control the rest of her. No, she had a hilarious meltdown. Yeah, it was like, I should be here. Like, it was great. But it's really alarming at what has happened
Starting point is 01:11:52 in the last couple episodes. And I needed to share that somewhere. And thank God I have a podcast to do that. Yeah, I'm actually more interested in the show than I was before. I didn't know anything else show. Yeah, I mean. And then sadly, the other one I think is so blatantly obvious.
Starting point is 01:12:06 but they don't know it either. They know that it's a... Oh, can I try to guess? Yeah, it's... You'll know it in two seconds. You'll know it immediately. A comedian, he was on S&L, and he is on Curb Your Enthusiasm,
Starting point is 01:12:18 and it's not Larry David. Jeff Garland? No, he is... I will give you a hint, too, because it helps when you can visually see them. She is black, and it's her relative. J.B. Smooth. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Yeah. Okay. But they're not... But they're not... They are not coming up with his name. Yeah. That's a tough one too, I guess. But you almost go, why do we know it and they don't?
Starting point is 01:12:41 Well, it is our job. True. You know? Yeah. Feel like that does come into play. And yeah, but when they got that clue, like they really got like S&L, Kerber enthusiasm, the whole thing laid out. And they have their like, they have no idea.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Wow. Yeah. Interesting. Throwing out of E. Murphy. Like they were just, yeah. No clue. Nope. No clues.
Starting point is 01:13:01 A lot of people don't seem to watch Curb on this on this show. That's disappointing. I can't wait for the new season. It's going to come down to those too because nobody is going to be able to guess those relatives. Have you guys ever seen Coming to America? Actually, no. I just watched it for the first time two days ago. Yes.
Starting point is 01:13:17 Incredible. It's like one of the best comedies ever, right? Yeah, and I forget what I was watching. I've never seen it though. Like, I think a podcast brought up coming to America too because I guess they made a remake. That it was not that good. Because I feel like they talked about that all the time. I forget what it was.
Starting point is 01:13:30 But then I just threw it on. I think it was Sunday. Really good movie. Yeah. Breaking news. Yeah, I've heard great things. Eddie Murphy guy. Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones.
Starting point is 01:13:43 Incredible movie. So for people out there, check that out. For people out there that have heard about it a ton. Movie came out in 1980. Check it out. It's a good one. Really good. Okay, I think that wraps it up on our ABC programming.
Starting point is 01:13:58 We had the basteret. It's all we got covered. Claim to fame. You're welcome. Shout out to Murray.
