Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. We have a great episode. Great. Great episode for everybody today.
Starting point is 00:00:33 I'm smiling, thinking about it. Yeah, I don't want to brag, but we have been crushing these guests recently. God. Yes. some great people and we can take kind of zero credit for it it's our team here has been booking us good people absolutely um but wednesday we had three great interviews back to back to back you've already heard one of them matt james which was awesome it was great having him on the show hopefully he'll come on again soon and then on this episode we have
Starting point is 00:01:04 chase and mattie yeah back it was it was originally chase supposed to be just chase supposed to be just Chase and then mid-interview Maddie joined. Yeah. So it was... She missed us, I think. Yeah, she didn't. She's... Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:01:17 I love them. And Maddie is just the coolest. Oh, she is. She's just so cool and sweet. And so that was really exciting. And there was some information in there about Outer Banks, season two and myself that quite literally crushed my soul, but also made me feel better at the same time. I don't want to spoil it.
Starting point is 00:01:36 I love talking to them because they're so cool and so fun. And then I get so sad because I feel like in another time. if it was not like COVID times, we could have somehow finagled being like real life friends with them. But maybe we'll get there eventually. We have to replace Dylan, Hannah, and Tyler with chasing.
Starting point is 00:01:53 You know what I mean? Like swap them out. New group chat. That type of thing. New friends. New friends. No offense. We don't actually want to get rid of them. That was a joke. That was, you know. I hate, I saw somebody because everybody hates Dylan right now. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I saw someone say like, Ria needs to stop saying, that was a joke after everything. And like, I get it. I want to stop doing that. But you don't realize the amount of times people message me or say something to me, not realizing that I said a joke. Yeah. Majority of the time, I'm joking. So now that we've got that out there, I'll stop saying it. Okay, good. Cool. Francesca, how are you doing today? I'm good. I have a, this, I don't really have anything to talk about, but I do want to say, I have one question. I thought about it on the train. And I would like to know our listeners opinion on this. Do you sometimes, you know, trying to work out a little bit more, getting not in shape,
Starting point is 00:02:47 but just being healthy. What, like, do you let your hair dictate when or when you don't work out? Like, I, I've never really talked to any of my friends about this or anything, but then there are mornings when I wake up and I'm like, oh, this is, I have time. I'm going to do something. And then I'm like, oh, but I just. I did my hair last night. It looks so good.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Like I got to, I don't want to have to wash it right after. No, absolutely. And my hair is very oily to begin with. So, like, I can't. People are like, oh, I work out and I just throw some dry shampoo in there. It's good as new. I can't do that. Like, it doesn't look good.
Starting point is 00:03:25 It's flat in my head and there's no, like, it has to be washed if I'm sweating. I feel like it totally dictates because if you want to work out in the morning, but you don't have time to take a full on shower, you know, because I do a. a body shower a lot instead of washing my hair with that because I don't wash my hair every day. But working out, sometimes I'm like, I got to wash my hair. It's sweaty. There's something about it that just doesn't feel right not washing it.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Unless it's a fresh blowout. Then you work out. I'm like, that's a fresh blowout. I don't need to wash that. But it's... I realize that I'm letting it be my excuse for like not working out so much. I'm like, okay. And I didn't know if I was...
Starting point is 00:04:07 was just like come on you're i want to be motivated then i'm like you're really going to let your hair be the reason why you don't do this but yeah kind of important it kind of has been a little bit because i'm like then we got to film the group chat i can't my hair looking gross it's the filming that's the issue that is this it's the issue if we weren't on camera right if we weren't on camera during the day then i would just i wouldn't give a shit i just leave it no we film every morning yeah so it's hard that's why exactly that's why there you go it's because of your job not because of Your hair? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Duh. I just didn't know if it was because of my severe laziness that I was coming up with this excuse that just didn't make any sense. It's the job. Not the hair. Not your laziness. Well, I'm almost there. My Peloton comes next week.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Let's go. Pelotan gang. Riders for life. Although I think I'm going to come up with like a really random screen name so nobody knows. Like I don't need anybody track in my activity. I feel you. People were like, tell me your name. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Yeah. Like, why would I do that? You don't need to see me how slow on money. I 100% respect the Peloton gang. Everybody wants to keep each other accountable, follow your friends and whatnot. I don't know if I could do it. I just, I don't know if I need everyone seeing what I'm doing on there. No, you don't need to see me doing beginner classes for every day for the past three weeks.
Starting point is 00:05:27 You don't have to see that. That's fair enough. Totally. Fair enough. Okay. Well, other than that, I'm in, you know, Super Bowls this weekend. Cool. Yeah, yeah. It's just awesome. It's kind of a kind of a sad, not sad Super Bowl, but just, you know, can't be doing all the same things we normally do. No heavy partying. No, it's, you know, Super Bowl parties shouldn't have a lot of people. So it's just. Maybe it'll just be me and you, babes. Yeah, yeah, I'll make the dip. Oh, cool. I'll make something else, like tacos or something. I like tacos. That's good. I like making tacos, but yeah. Tacos are very, like a good, easy thing to make.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah, especially when you flavor that meat just right. Yeah. Good stuff. Like Donnie's tacos. Yeah. Oh, those are really good. Okay. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I'm getting hungry. You think of Donnie's tacos? I know. Now it's like, Donnie come cook for us. That's not going to happen. I dyed my hair again. Again. But you said you think this is the one.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I think this is the one. I really do. I really, I walked in. I saw it and I was like, look, I think this is the one. Because this one looks the most natural and goes for all seasons. Like the dark dark, it was very dark. And I think like in the summer, maybe you wouldn't have wanted it to be that dark. And then the last round, I feel like you lightened it up and it looked good.
Starting point is 00:06:47 But like, I don't feel like you weren't as happy with the blending situation. No, I wasn't. So you wanted to go back. Yeah. And you went back. And now I think, I really think this is the one. I really do. My hairdresser said to me, now, if you're listening, you're probably like, that's my biggest
Starting point is 00:07:00 nightmare being your hairdresser being like, I'm going to do what I want to do and you have no say. Right, right. But I trust my hairdresser. I've been going to her for like five years now. And so I was like, you know what? Just do what you want to do because I don't know what the fuck I want to look like anymore. Just take control. And I love what she did.
Starting point is 00:07:15 You say it's the one. So I believe you. If you want to go to my Instagram, you can see it. Maybe you can tell me if you think it's the one or not. I don't know. But yeah, for now I think it's the one. Yeah. You know, I've changed my hair four times the last four months.
Starting point is 00:07:29 You've died it so many times recently. And I've always. I've always wanted my, I've been dyeing my hair blonde for so long in my life that it damaged, first of all, damaged my hair severely. Yeah, yeah. And so I want to take a break for that reason. And I also, my hair is naturally like a dark brown. Yeah. So I want to see what I would look like with dark brown as an older person.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I never saw it since fifth grade. I've been dying my hair. So what do I even look like naturally? What do I look like, naive? If I didn't touch myself, what would I look like naturally? So I saw it. I liked it. It was fun.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I think it made me depressed. I think it did. I think it had a partial reasoning as to why I was feeling down. Yeah. But my hair's not blonde now. It's just like brown. It's like a lightish brown.
Starting point is 00:08:14 It's like brown with highlights. It looks lovely. Thank you very much. I really like it. I do think this is the one. Oh, cool. Fingers crossed. Because I feel like if you keep dying it,
Starting point is 00:08:23 we're going to be back to square one of it being damaged again. I know. I don't want to do that. I finally got it back to a really healthy state. Yes, it is. going dark actually so yeah listen if you're a blonde and you're listening to this and you've been debating if you should go dark i say do it yeah i say do it give your hair that break for for yeah she didn't it looks amazing um i did that i died it dark in in august so it's been a while so i gave
Starting point is 00:08:48 it that break i think if you are on the fence do it give it the break and then you can go back to like a right like a light brown or whatever and work your way back after that yeah yeah definitely helps with just keeping it fresh, keeping it healthy. Yep. Because that can be bad. Exactly. So I say do it. If you're listening, you're on the fence, do it.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I think it's time to get into the topics for today. We have a Madison LaCroy Southern Charm update. Of course, she revealed who the ex-MLB player she was talking about in the reunion. Yep. We also have the Golden Globe nominations and the SAG Awards, which I wrote Swag Awards. I'm going to point that out. We also have Kim and Kanye update on them. Apparently they're not speaking, so we'll dive into that.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And Lil Uzi-Virt put a $24 million pink diamond in his head. And I introduced Fran into little Uzi Verst's cuteness. So we'll talk all about that. I'm learning. She's learning. And Chase Stokes and Maddie are on the show. By the way, it's a Chase Stokes interview featuring Maddie. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:57 It is, we book... Madeline, by the way, we keep calling her Maddie, like we're best pals. We booked Chase Stokes, and we got a very pleasant surprise of Madeline Klein coming into the room and gracing us with her presence and joining the interview for, like, more than probably half the interview, I would say. Yeah, it was a majority. And for scheduling purposes, because I have seen some people DM, because we, like, we just have had a lot of great guests recently. Priyanka will be on Monday. and Sam Huyn is on next Friday. And for our Bachelor recap on Wednesday, we've been teasing.
Starting point is 00:10:34 We have another great guest that we're going to keep a secret. Yeah, we're going to keep it a secret for now. Let's get into it, though, starting off with Madison LaCroy in Southern Trom. I've been down so long and look like up to me. They look up to me. I got fake people showing fake love to me. Straight up to my face. Straight up to my face.
Starting point is 00:10:57 I've been down so long and looked like God to me. They look good to me. We have an answer as to who the ex-MLB player, Madison LeCroix, was talking about on the Southern Charm reunion. It has been revealed that it was A-Rod. Apparently, they did have some FaceTime calls, and they talked over the phone, but they never met up in person. They didn't sleep together, but they talked on the phone. I don't know why they talked on the phone, but they talked on the phone.
Starting point is 00:11:36 but they talked on the phone. Yeah. So Madison told page 6 in his statement this week that it was, they never met up. Like you said, it was purely like this not physical, never had any kind of anything she said, just an acquaintance. He's never physically cheated on his fiancee with me. She added that she would talk to him randomly but not consistent. and the rumors blew up because, you know, it was a game of, like, game of telephone.
Starting point is 00:12:09 She told the wrong person, and then it absolutely exploded. All of this stuff was a year ago, but it's being aired now because of the reunion. And then page six ended it by saying, I don't know what to do. A distraught sounding LeCroy told us Wednesday, I have tried to be as quiet as possible. I don't want anything bad for his family or for mine. We are definitely innocent in this. So this does. It does make me feel a little bad for Madison.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And I don't know if I should feel that way or not. But just because if this happened a year ago and maybe she was bragging about it or maybe she was trying to talk, you know, whatever, she told the wrong person. But for like Craig and Austin to bring it up on the reunion is kind of a low blow. And I know Madison Austin have major problems and they were fighting all. They're going at each other all reunion long. But like that I just felt like they went a little below the belt on that one where it's like, all right, now you're going to throw out Arod's name in the middle of the Southern Charm reunion? My initial reaction is to disagree with you.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Yeah. You can because I don't really know why I feel that way. Yeah. I like I understand where you're coming from. But I feel like if you put yourself into a mess where you're. FaceTiming or even entertaining an engaged man like A-Rod, who you know is with J-Lo, then I don't think you're the best person. Right.
Starting point is 00:13:43 So I feel like, you know what, it sucks for A-Rod and J-Lo that they got brought into it, of course, but at the same time, not that she deserves to have it blown up. Yeah. But like, you got to know what's coming for you if you're talking to an engaged man like A-Rod. Right. So, of course, it was a low blow. but I kind of get it.
Starting point is 00:14:06 And I just don't understand. I just don't understand what Aeron is. I know. I know. Let's whisper about it. It's a soft subject. It's just like what's happening? Because if you think about it,
Starting point is 00:14:20 okay, they're FaceTiming, they're talking in the phone, whatever it is. But in order for them to get to that point, he had, unless Madison reached out to him, but I just feel like it's such a random. person to reach out to. He's such a high profile person that you're not like, oh, I'm going to slide into Arod's DMs. Like you're like, that would never, I don't think that crosses your mind. There's plenty of other influencers and reality stars and people on Bravo maybe
Starting point is 00:14:46 that you'd be like, okay, I'm going to sign their DMs. I have a chance. Arod, I feel like wouldn't be immediately on that list. So in my mind, it's like Arod must have slid into Madison's DMs. They could have had some kind of conversation on Instagram, took that conversation to actual phone calls. And now, as you said, they never saw each other in real life or met up or anything, but talked in the phone. It's like, what did you talk about? What could you two possibly have to talk about?
Starting point is 00:15:13 I don't know. That's not boning in some way. Listen. What? What? Their workout routines? Yes, actually. Probably DMed the videos of her lifting weights and said, I'd love to lift with you
Starting point is 00:15:28 one day. I don't know exactly what's going on there. This is the thing. We talk about this often. Hollywood couples are strange. They have different rules than everybody else. Maybe J-Lo doesn't care if A-Rod is talking to people on Instagram because he's not hooking up with them, if he's not hooking up with them, which it doesn't sound like he is.
Starting point is 00:15:49 It just sounds like he's talking to them, which why, I don't know. But I just can't see, maybe I know, I just can't see a world where J-Lo doesn't give a shit about that. I know. but she's J-Lo, she knows she's better than everybody. But it just makes like... But also just strange. She cares about her... Yeah, she cares about her public persona, I think, a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:06 And this doesn't make her look good, I don't think. Like, it's like... Yeah. I don't want my... Like, why would she want her name associated with all of this shit, you know? I know. And do you think it's the right move or the wrong move that Arod never says anything? Right.
Starting point is 00:16:22 It's 100%. It just never says anything. Yeah. Look, he's posted nonstop with, on Instagram about Jalel. with J-Lo videos of them dancing in the car, they're singing. Like, he's, I don't know if he's in damage-controlled territory or what, but he there, all of his Instagrams are recently, have been surrounded by J-Lo. So they look fairly unbothered by the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:16:44 So, like, maybe they're just, you know, and it'll fade away. It'll go away in two seconds, but. See, this is, this is what I mean, though, like, if you found out that your boy, your boyfriend. Your boyfriend. If you found out that your boyfriend was DMing a girl like this and FaceTiming her. Yeah, yeah. You'd break up with him, right?
Starting point is 00:17:03 Especially if it would be a no-brainer for me. If it was even more harmless, like if it's as harmless as Madison was saying, if I was Madison in this point, like speaking to page six, I think you would say, oh, my God, no, he reached out. It was a business thing. He wanted to see if I wanted to do XYZ for Rod Corp. I don't know. Like, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:26 I was working on A-RodCorp. You know what I'm saying? Like, if it was like a work thing, then you, you throw that out there immediately. That's your defense. That's your go-to. When you keep it vague like this where it's like, oh, it was innocent. It was just phone calls. It's like, well, what the fuck were you talking about?
Starting point is 00:17:41 Yeah, what's so innocent about phone calls? What are you talking about? What are you talking about? I don't talk to anyone on the phone. Neither do I. Yeah. Unless it's my parents. I know.
Starting point is 00:17:51 I know. Or my boyfriend. Yeah. Yeah. Not some random dudes my DMs. No. I don't know. It's it, it is a weird story. I think that Arod and J-Lo will prevail. I think that they'll be okay.
Starting point is 00:18:03 I don't think this is going to end their relationship in any way, shape, or form. But I get it from Madison's standpoint. If Madison, if you got a DM, you're on Southern Trump, reality TV. I know, I'm still whispering. I kind of am. I know, but I like the sound of it now, I think. Yeah, I think we should talk in this voice forever. If Madison is like reality TV, you know, this is her job.
Starting point is 00:18:23 she gets a message from A-Ride being like, hey, blah, blah, blah, blah, would you have time to chat, quick phone call? You'd be like, yeah. Like, you, you know? Like, I don't think you would be like, no. Friend, but you just said, you don't get why he was blown up in her face. But if you're saying it's for reality TV, then you should expect for it to get what you. And then you want it.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Yeah, yeah. Like, then you're doing it for reality TV and it should be shown. I know, I know. I know. So pick which reason why you feel bad for Madison. I don't know. Is it because she was blown up or because you understand it for reality TV? I think it's just real.
Starting point is 00:18:53 It's really hard for my brain to wrap around Arod being like the center of the Southern Charm reunion, you know? I think that's just where I'm, that's just where I don't, I lose, I lose it. I think that Summer House should start getting these, these type of people involved. Let's get some ex-football players on there. Yeah, who knows. It's just crazy. So I think, I mean, this will be the end. It'll fade away.
Starting point is 00:19:16 I don't know if we'll keep talking, you know, it'll be. By next week, nobody's going to care that Arod and Madison maybe had a face time. Yeah. By the way, Justin Anderson. Oh, God. I'm sorry. I roll my eyes every time I hear his name. I know, posted on his story.
Starting point is 00:19:32 But like, I want to say like him and everyone thinks it's because he was shading, shading Madison. He posted a video of them or of himself, I think. It was him doing the, uh, let's get loud. Like he was like listening to Let's Get Loud on Instagram. Anderson posted a video of himself and Kristen Cavalry working out to Let's Get Loud a day after LaCroix admitted to speaking on the phone numerous times with Arod. Why is he so shady? He wrote A Little Thursday Motivation for you, Loveys.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Life is all about the hard work and the hustle. Don't rely on luck to bring you what you want out of life is what he made the caption on the clip. Why is he always involved in drama that he shouldn't be in? Well, just cracks me up because even after all the J-Cats. stuff like he was preaching like i'm defending my friend like you think i want this you think i want this craziness and strama like i don't like if you know me i don't want this and it was like kind of a doff protest too much i say like you know what was that yeah what was that he argues against is that from a book or a movie i thought it was harry potter yeah it was too much
Starting point is 00:20:48 oh my god come on guys doth protest too much it's like Like me and nowhere, it's going to be like, yep. Protest too much. We've heard that before. The lady doth protest too much, me thinks. It's from Hamlet. Oh, my. It's Shakespeare.
Starting point is 00:21:00 See, I wasn't going to say that I know it until you did. Then I felt comfortable, like, not knowing it. I'm glad we're on the same page. Okay. Yes, it's that sounds. Shakespeare. It sounds ridiculous now. I'd say it's Shakespeare.
Starting point is 00:21:12 It sounds, but people say it in regular, not regular conversation, but it is used. I don't know. I've never heard it before. It took me by surprise. No. I've never said it before on this podcast, but Justin Anderson doth protest too much, I think. Whatever that means. He just, he says that he doesn't want to get involved and doesn't like the drama, but he totally does.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Doth protest too much. He does. Me thanks to the man doth protest too much. Rie and I have been talking about our journey trying to, you know, stay healthy. It's a new year, trying to figure it out. Daily Harvest helps us do that. It's delivered right through our door. It's delicious.
Starting point is 00:22:39 It's a way to eat well without all the cooking and all the preparation. Every meal takes five minutes or less to make. All the foods are built on organic fruits and vegetables. Like I said, it goes right to your door. Smoothies are amazing in the mornings. The flat breads, the harvest bowls, the soups. The soups are really good. I really love the flatbread so much because I love to put it in my air fire and
Starting point is 00:23:05 I take it out and drizzle a little balsamic vinegar on that. Mm-hmm. Taste delicious. I love the harvest bowls are so good because you can get them. You can kind of jazz them up sometimes also if you want to. Like they're so quick and easy that you can make it and have it right as a meal right then. If you want to enhance it a little bit, you could throw on like a piece of grilled chicken and it's absolutely delicious. And now Daily Harvest just launched their first ever plant-based milk collection.
Starting point is 00:23:29 It's spelled M-Y-L-L-K, but it's almond milk. It's made of only almonds and a dash of. sea salt that's it is all of it so that is fantastic look out for that that's a great thing to put in your smoothies i love putting alma milk in um the smoothies that i make the flavors are amazing i get shocked every time i open them out of the freezer and they're so fresh they're frozen at the best time so they make the best smoothies it's undeniably delicious clean food without any of the prep guys go to daily harvest dot com and enter promo code chicks to get $25 off your first box that's promo code chicks for $25 off your first box at daily harvest.com.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Looseyvert got a $24 million pink diamond placed into his forehead. I don't know why this happened. I wish he didn't do it. I'm worried about his safety. I love him very much. I think he's adorable. And I love his music. And I think it's a waste of money.
Starting point is 00:24:26 So he tweeted at the end of January that he has been saving or I guess paying off this diamond. since 2017. It's a 24, he says, $24 million, diamond, pink. That is just far too expensive item to have plastered
Starting point is 00:24:49 on the front of your body. You know? It's just like, because of the risk of someone, I don't know, someone attacking you, trying to take it out of your head,
Starting point is 00:25:01 I don't know. It's very possible. It could have. happen and he said that if it's not taken out the right way he could bleed out and bleed to death because it's embedded into like his skull yeah infection the whole thing it worries me so much blood dripping down his face out of the out of the diamond it's disgusting i don't know why he did that surgery in the hospital like how did they do it i don't know i would be curious to see a video on it but i'm worried about him because i don't want him to die and i think if this something bad happens with this diamond it's quite possible so i'm really hoping that he's okay. I think it's, first of all, waste of money. $24 million out the window. He could have done so many other things with his pink diamond. It's like Iron Man
Starting point is 00:25:41 on his forehead. Yeah, yeah. Like you rip it out and he's dead. Yeah, everybody was making comparisons to vision. Like it's like, you know, an event when he pulls the stone out of vision's head. It must be very uncomfortable. Must be giving him a headache at all times. Yeah, and it's I believe he said it's 10 to 11
Starting point is 00:25:59 carrots. It's also just heavy. Yeah, it's probably a heavy. Yeah, it's probably a heavy dime. He's going to have a huge scar. For a little man. Yeah. Weighing him down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Oh, here's a GQ article. How exactly do you embed a diamond into your forehead? These are the answers we need. Details beyond that have been spotty of obviously this, but about the details of it. But he was photographed with blood dripping down the piercing, which is, yep, that's what I saw. And I did not like it. Nope. Piercer Sean Daudill.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Doudle. told GQ that it's possible to embed gems pretty much anywhere on the body using small metal posts with a thin, wide base that gets anchored under the skin. All right, I apologize, everyone. I did not realize how graphic this should be. This is a little more intense
Starting point is 00:26:50 than it's making me even a little squeamish and I can handle a lot of this stuff. It's called microdermal or transdermal implant. So I guess you can literally just anchor the anchor into your skin with like a with metal yeah it typically only works for objects up to eight millimeters but his pink diamond is much larger than that a bigger heavier gem risk bending the post or causing infection um in one of the better scenarios oh worst case scenario he could get hit in the face and it would rip half his forehead off oh i swear to god if little uzi dies because of this pink diamond in his
Starting point is 00:27:32 head. I'm going to be... Think about how many times you hit your head, like by accident. All the time. He just walked into something. He'd think that he's maybe... It was a bad move. It's a surface piercing.
Starting point is 00:27:43 It could be just like... Which can also be done just about anywhere on the body. It looks like a little upside-down staple. The needle pierces his skin. Surface piercing, you're typically not connected on the outside. Oh, my God. I don't know why he did this. Listen, I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:28:02 know that I love him and I wish him the best, but I think this was a bad move on his part. Oh my God, he could also have had it put into his forehead like a magnet. Yeah. Stick the diamond to his head like a fridge magnet. The piercer says the safer option for heavy pieces like his diamond is to magnetize the post or even subdermally implant a small magnet underneath his skin. This would let Uzi more easily remove the gem at night or say wash his face or put a shirt on. But it doesn't, it does, it seems like it is anchored in there.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Yeah. And he said if he doesn't get it taken out the right way, he could die. That's what he said. And people are telling him this is not safe. You know, you gotta get rid of it. It says even a kiss at the wrong angle can cause the body to reject a surface piercing. Listen, I, yeah. Which could take over a year to hear.
Starting point is 00:28:57 I don't know what he did. I don't know why he did it. You're getting a little, if you're getting a little, if you're getting a little weird in the bedroom, that thing's getting infected. 100%. And Lil Uzivert is getting weird in the bedroom. No, that's what I'm saying. 100%.
Starting point is 00:29:09 He is cute, though. You did still show me a lot of cute little UziVert videos. Adorable. You know what I mean? He's little and cute and bubbly and fun. And I was telling Fran this and she was like, what do you mean? Like, what do you mean Lil Uzi Verts cute? And I was like, no, watch some videos and you will think he's adorable.
Starting point is 00:29:28 And she was like, I'm sold. Because you didn't mean it like a he's sexy kind of way. I just kind of want to give him a hug. Yeah, Louisiever, I want to carry around in my pocket and like take him everywhere and have him as like my good vibes guy. It's a really, I mean, it's a stunning diamond, first of all. Like the diamond is really beautiful, but it just doesn't make, there's so many things you can do with the diamond like that where you're not putting it directly on your forehead. And I just don't feel like that is safe at all. He's going to have to take that out
Starting point is 00:30:02 I think sooner rather than later I don't think he's going to have this for a long time And I think I think I think you're right Because he's going to have to Because people are going to keep telling him how unsafe it is Or he's going to have a little incident Within the next three days
Starting point is 00:30:14 That he'll be like Okay I need to get this taken out Bad move Wine on your hand or like that would be cool Like on your top of your hand Yeah there's I mean there's plenty There's plenty of other places Is quite literally the worst place
Starting point is 00:30:25 That you could do anything Yeah it's the center of your face Right direct directly Your brain Like if you fuck up your brain, your eyes are like right next to it. Yeah. Like if you fuck up your hand. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:39 You know, you're missing a hand. Like you could wear it, but if you really need it to be in your body, don't put it on your head. Yeah. Could have made a beautiful necklace out of this. Right. Just anything else. Would you wear a necklace that's $24 million like just around? You're going to get robbed.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah. No, no. Well, that's the thing. Somebody might prompt him and just try and grab the diamond off his face. that yeah it's even more dangerous i think Kim Kardashian had that ring yes in her room in Paris yes and was robbed
Starting point is 00:31:10 yes and that's only because she posted about it yeah only because she posed yeah only because she posts about it everyone of course yeah i mean blatantly has it now people literally might run up to Liluzever and grab it off his face if it was a necklace i'm worried about little uzi if it's a necklace granted yes you could get it stolen or taken off of you but at least you don't bodily yeah yeah unless unless it's a terrible robbery
Starting point is 00:31:32 but I'm saying like it being pulled off your neck doesn't mean you are going to have bodily harm. If it's pulled out of your face with what he's saying, it could be a bad situation. So, unsure why this decision was made, definitely not the smartest. Hopefully he just gets it
Starting point is 00:31:52 taken out and cleaned and patched up. Yes. I'm not loving you way I wanted to. What I had to do had to run from you, but the vibe is wrong. And it haunted me all the way home. So you'll never know, never, never know enough till it's over. So Enews is reporting that Kim and Kanye are no longer speaking. They are not on good terms right now.
Starting point is 00:32:35 It has all come down to what seems to be the divorce announcement. Kim still is trying to figure out the logistics of actually announcing the divorce before they go ahead with the proceedings of that, which have not happened yet. Yeah, I think that Kanye is so petty that he probably is cutting them all out of his life. I can't imagine that they'll be friendly. Maybe on and off, maybe like in a year from now, I'll be like, oh, Kanye and Kim are great friends and they're co-parenting. and then another year from then it would be like Kim and Kanye hate each other like I think it's going to be an up and down battle between Kim and Kanye the announcement is like we all know so you might as well post about it Kim like I don't know what kind of does she need just just be like just announce it just announce it that's what I'm saying I don't know why Connie even cares so much like but also why to just get divorced and then announce it right like why are we worried about the logistics of like announcing
Starting point is 00:33:38 then filing for divorce. Gender Communications does things by the books. Right. I don't know. They need, in order to get maximum attention for, not necessarily the divorce, but in order to get maximum attention of like who's in control here, I feel like Kim's got to put out the statement, let everybody know, and then proceed with the actual divorce.
Starting point is 00:34:04 However, now it just feels like they're waiting too long, because we all know the reports have been out for weeks now. And if we do watch it go down on the last season of Kardashians, like are they waiting all the way until that to put it out there? Because I don't think that's going to work. That's not going to work. Also, it's really not even shocking that this is happening, that they're not speaking. Like I said, Kanye just seems like such a petty guy.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I feel like we've seen, you know, they've all forgave Tristan Thompson. They all forgave Scott Dissick. Clearly, it's not the Kardashians that are not good at, forgiving people and just like being friends with their exes, you know? Like it's, it's a Kanye thing. Yeah. Yeah. And it does surprise me from, it does surprise me only from the children standpoint of like, okay, what's going on. But I feel like Kanye recently has come and go a lot where it's, he's in Wyoming or he's doing his own thing and he comes to see the kids when he can or they try and figure it out. But now this source is saying that, you know, she has stayed strong throughout all of this.
Starting point is 00:35:09 She's trying to stay strong. Just move on with her life. The separation is completely official in her mind. And a second source told Enews that Kanye is also completely done with the marriage and is moving on. And he wants to make the change sooner than later. He said, the source said he doesn't care what Kim's priorities are with holding off on a divorce announcement. He will file before she's ready if he has to. He wants the divorce just as much as Kim does.
Starting point is 00:35:34 So basically is it like Kim was going to be the one to file But because she's taking too long Kanye's like I'm about to file on you know Yeah it might be yeah Kim just do it get it over with be the one to end it Yeah be the one to get it done Right and I imagine she's very sad about it
Starting point is 00:35:55 But it's just Sad thing now yeah And I don't know what kind of Maybe they want Maybe she wants some a bigger type of announcement that's not just her putting out a statement on her social media or anything like that and maybe she wants to do it on a in an interview or you know but i also don't necessarily see that being the case so it's like what are we what are we waiting for i don't know
Starting point is 00:36:24 yeah i don't know but i would imagine it's going to come sooner than later yeah yeah i think so the um kim kim there's moments where i'm just like oh you know i really love kim the james charles he did the tic-tok you know the facetime where it's like ah yes hey oh oh sorry you call the person you're like oh i'm busy i'll call you right back and everyone's like what he did it to kim and kim was like what tick to tic-tok viral tic-tok thing are you trying to do that was awesome she had the best reaction but can we also talk about the lineup of people James Charles had. Yeah, James Charles had a ridiculous one of up.
Starting point is 00:37:03 It started with Chris Jenner, which by the way, hanging up on Chris Jenner, both fucking moved James. Yeah. He, you could tell, his hands were like shaking. Yeah. And Chris was like, what? She looked pretty, like, serious. Yeah, I think she, I think she plays along, like, busy doing what James?
Starting point is 00:37:18 Do you really, do you guys think these are all genuine? Sometimes I feel like they're pre-planned. I think some of them might be planned. I think maybe he'll be like, I'm going to call you, whatever. Yeah. But I think afterwards he definitely text him like. Yeah. Because I, for some of them, I was like,
Starting point is 00:37:31 okay, that felt like it was maybe pre-planned, but then Kim's one felt natural. No, that felt natural. The ones with like... But all those celebrities just answer each other's face-times all the time? I mean, I would answer your face-time. It's so many people to just get on the phone. But it's...
Starting point is 00:37:49 I feel you have to be really famous. Yeah. Like, James Charles is calling me out. Oh, you're going to answer it? Yeah, I guess when you're that famous, everyone's answering your call. You're like you're... They're your friends, I know, but... It's just like being a normal problem.
Starting point is 00:38:01 But whenever somebody facetimes me, I answer. Even sometimes my friends FaceTime me, and I'm like, I'm not going to talk to them right now. I often, she was dying, laughing at him. B.B. Rex, it was like, wait, I want to show you my dress. What do you mean? You and B.B. Rex would just show each other what you're wearing all the time. She's like, this is Versace. It was awesome.
Starting point is 00:38:20 It was so good. Haley Bieber's reactions and all of these have always been good to. Wait, I have a question for you. Yeah. Will you be buying every single product in Haley Beaver's skincare line? The road skin care line, of course I will. Of course I will. It just sounds, it's a great name for skin. She is the best skin ever. Yeah. Like her skin is flawless.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Yeah. I will. First of all, that is genetics. Like, she's gifted because I, have you seen those pictures she's posted of her mom and her grandma? Like, they're both flawless. So clearly that's just genetics. And that it's tough because it's great marketing for her. Because everyone's going to be like, well, we want Haley Beeper's skin. Realistically impossible to get Haley Beeper's skin. And she doesn't use her products. I'm going to fall for it and buy it anyway. I'm totally going to end up trying it too. But when I see sometimes when she posts on her stories of like the things that she's doing and I'm just like, I do some of those things sometimes. And my skin does not glow like that. You have beautiful skin. It does not look that dewy.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Well, thank you. But they get other things. No, of course. They get Botox and other things that help their skin. I don't know. Facials every day. Yeah. It's like there's things they're not telling us.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Yeah. There's secret medicine out there that we don't know about. Haley, a few weeks back, posted one in Scrum story where she had maybe like the smallest blemish of all time and was like, ugh, my skin's been acting up recently. And I was like, she's the cutest girl. I literally love everything she does. And I feel like she's such a sweet woman. And that I was like, I want to punch through the face. That's the worst. It is the worst when celebrities are like, oh my God, I'm breaking out. It's like one tiny little thing on your cheek that you could barely even see. And the story is like, what are you even talking about? What blemish?
Starting point is 00:40:05 I don't even see it. Looks like a freckle. Yeah. A cute freckle. Yeah. When they get pimples, it looks good. Yep. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:40:14 It's like they get a pimple. It's like, oh, cute. Yeah. Oh, look at their little pimple. Yeah. Nope. Not for everyone else. Nope.
Starting point is 00:40:21 You're so golden. After year, these nominations come out. And year after year, I think because, I enjoy the show so much and love watching them and, you know, award shows are so fun. But year after year, it's like, okay, these are just getting worse and worse. They feel more rigged. They feel more like people are just buying their way in or whatever it is. However, they got to schmooze the Hollywood foreign press for the Golden Globes, it seems like
Starting point is 00:41:16 they're doing it because there are some, there's some people, some shows and movies and whatnot that made the list that it's shocking that they made this list. there were a ton of things that were left off that I thought were really great. And I know a lot of people that were really great. And I was talking about diversity and being more inclusive in these award shows. The Golden Globes didn't knock it out of the park in that arena. So let's go through some of the nominations. And the first category, I think, will be the one that has us the most outrage.
Starting point is 00:41:50 It's Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy. we have the flight attendant the great Shitts Creek Ted Lassow and Emily in Petty I can't I I
Starting point is 00:42:03 I want to It's a sin I want to protest against the Golden Globes Yeah that Emily in Paris Or Emily in Pri Emily in Petit
Starting point is 00:42:14 was nominated because we get it It was an entertaining show on Netflix that we watched I enjoyed it You enjoyed it but it is not Golden Globe nominee worthy.
Starting point is 00:42:29 And I've said it multiple times now, but if you're going to give a show like Emily and Paris, a Golden Globe nomination, then you need to give a show like Outer Banks nomination. Yeah. Because to me, Emily and Paris is so cheesy type of shows. You're kind of just giving to the hype of the show.
Starting point is 00:42:44 Yeah. But Outer Banks had so much more hype than Emily in Paris. Like, or not even, but like a Netflix show, you know. Well, the Queen's Gambit was nominated. Yeah. in a limited series, which phenomenal shows think it deserves it. But if you're going to go Emily and Paris,
Starting point is 00:42:59 I feel like, you know, another cheesy but good show that we enjoyed, Outer Banks. But that's where, like, these categories get so weird. It's like, that's not a comedy or musical, so it's like... Oh, true, Outer Banks wouldn't you fit in there. Right, where they put it in drama. They're not going to put it in drama.
Starting point is 00:43:16 But, like, also, Lily Collins getting best actress. Like, I'm so cool from Emily and Paris paid the people. I don't know. what they did. This makes no sense to me. I'm happy that... Maybe this is the Hollywood foreign press. They were like, oh, it's just embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:43:29 I don't know. It makes no fucking sense. The great was great. Oh, good. I have no complaints with any of the other... Ted Lassow, I do have to say, I know a lot of people. I'm in the middle of watching Ted Lassau right now, so... I'm not going to spoil anything.
Starting point is 00:43:45 I just... I'm enjoying it. I enjoyed it the first few, and then it got, in my opinion, terrible. Yeah. I made a mistake of... That's how I felt about the flight of... attendant. I started, I have not watched the flight attendant yet. And I felt that I was very happy for Kaylee Coelco in the video. She was so happy about getting nominated. So it's like, I'm sure Lily Collins is
Starting point is 00:44:03 over the moon because in what world that she thinks she was going to get nominated for a golden globe for this show? She knew because they told her they were paying them off. But they clearly had their way in here. Did you see that viral tweet that people are, I think it's not, it's not real, but it was like, I was the creator of this show. Like, I made it as a joke. Like, how did we get nominated? Yeah, yeah. It's just a billion likes. There were so many shows on HBO. And I think. like maybe other limited series. Everybody, and I don't know, it's just, it's very bizarre to me that Emily and Paris made it on,
Starting point is 00:44:31 made it on this list. And, you know, I will say, I did, I finished all of Schitt's Creek and I really, I really did enjoy it. It has become kind of a comfort show for me now. Like, I just watch random episodes all the time. I do like it. That's good to hear. I, I thought I didn't, but it really, now I have become that person where it's like, no, the later seasons it's so much better. I've become that person because it really is. It really is. I've watched
Starting point is 00:44:59 I've watched the end of season four episodes like five times now. I'm going to have to get through it eventually. We all know that. I'm happy that the undoing got nominated Nicole Kidman. My favorite nomination of them all is Donald Sutherland though, getting a nomination for the undoing. Incredible. And I'm so happy for him. Like that I am just so happy for him. I am just so happy for him. I, he played the dad in, in the undoing. And when he has that little freak out at the piano and he starts going after, uh, what's his face? I'm like, it's,
Starting point is 00:45:32 it's so good. But I'm happy about the undoing. Promising young woman getting multiple nominations made me really happy because that was an awesome movie. And yeah, so good. And yeah, so good. So I'm so happy about that. Um, but yeah, Emily and Paris confusing.
Starting point is 00:45:47 You said that I didn't watch the prom, but you, James Gordon, no, has you in a, in a, in a, a tizzy as well. And I do like when there are different... Andy Sambor got nominated for Palm Springs. Yes. That was a good movie. I did like that.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I did like that movie, but I didn't know it was getting nominated for Golden Globes. I feel like Golden Globes just kind of like... No, I used to hold the Golden Globes to like a high standard and I don't think I do anymore. It's getting worse and worse. It's the show where they all get drunk. Yeah. Right. It's now it just feels like solely they want the big names for the entertainment factor because
Starting point is 00:46:19 they... Every year they do mix in new people, but then they... they also always have the same people. You know, they always have, they've always got the Ozark squad, the crown, better call Saul, all these, but, but in their, in the defense, I understand. Like, Ozark's fantastic show, the crown also fantastic, but it's normal people. I know a lot of people love normal people. I'm pretty shocked by, like, the best picture nominations.
Starting point is 00:46:46 Think about best picture nominations a few years ago when you had Wolf of Wall Street, Dallas Byers Club. It's, it was also. It was a bad year. It was a bad year. Like, yeah. You know, like what, no one saw movies. Right. Yeah. Good point, guys. It's kind of crazy. I was like, what the fuck is going on? Yeah. It says nominations by like distributor. Netflix has 22. The next highest one is Amazon 7. Yeah, Netflix really did a quite a good job this year, obviously, with a lot of these nominees, nominations. The, yeah, the James, James Gordon. I, I, I just, I just. can't believe he got nominated for that role. I didn't watch it, so I can't even comment on it, but I believe you. It's a fine movie.
Starting point is 00:47:31 You know, it's nothing crazy. It's, you know, you can throw it on. It's on Netflix. It's like, but the other Nicole Kidman's in that movie. Merrill Streep is in that movie. Like, James Corden is the one who gets nominated out of it. And James Corden's character was just this kind of stereotypical gay guy that it's like, that performance, that what he was.
Starting point is 00:47:53 did that's what's going to get golden globe nominations i know it's ridiculous it's really really quite ridiculous so um yeah a lot of these movies i think like if you weren't kind of paying attention to the new things on netflix or things like that then you probably missed a lot of them i yeah i for one had not heard of a lot of these movies i've seen like a lot i've seen prom springs and then hamilton is hamilton yeah and then you music and the prom I didn't see. So I've only seen Palm Springs in Borat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:27 And I mean, the Oscars are going to be weird. Right? Like, is, like, is Palm Springs getting nominated for an Oscar? Andy Samir gets an Oscar. I'm like, what is going on? There's like no choices. Yeah, I guess so. I just feel like I watched.
Starting point is 00:48:43 I don't know. I don't know. I don't have promising young woman gets an Oscar. That would be cool. I feel like it's got a good shot. Yeah. I, I, the trial, the show. Chicago 7 I watch. That's very good.
Starting point is 00:48:56 But like nomad land, I have not seen. Mank, I didn't even hear of the father I have not even heard of either. Have you heard of Sound of Metal? Yes, I have not watched that, but I know. Very depressing, but it's a good movie. The lights camera bars full guys have that very high in their list of 2020 movies. So I always... I could see him winning or like any nominated for me.
Starting point is 00:49:18 I could always trust that situation. And I do believe there are three women. got nominated for best director, which is fantastic. Yeah, that's cool. You know, you don't always see that happen between Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman and Regina King for One Night in Miami. Chloe's out for Nomadlands. So that's great to see that, first of all, the directors, they're three out of the five are women. And I love Regina King.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Yeah, but it does seem like. I love Promising Young Woman, but I'm like, I love Regina King. I love Virginia King. There, it does feel like there was a lot of. shows that featured people of color that were like great shows. It just didn't get nominated. So once again, people were very upset about the Golden Globes. As always, the SAG Awards are, I feel like maybe less people care about the SAG Awards, but I like the SAG Awards because I feel like it is more people, people-based. It's not this ominous organ, you know, it's not like
Starting point is 00:50:20 the Hollywood Foreign Press. You're like, who even is that? It's like, who was voting for this. So those came out this week, too. And the shocker for me there was Bridgetton. Because it was like, what? How did it make the cut? It's because the award shows are so wonky this year. The timelines of award shows.
Starting point is 00:50:39 They're so won't. And everything got backed up. Usually the Grammys are the most confusing. Usually this stuff is already happening. Or like, this is the time that these award shows are happening. They all got bumped till later. And then the Grammys moved again. So these all moved again.
Starting point is 00:50:52 So I think they extended the date even further. So what, like, Bridgetton normally wouldn't be included in this year would have to wait until next year. But because they moved the dates back, it's coming back. Donald Trump sent angry letter resigning from Screen Actors Guild. You have done nothing for me. Oh, what? What? Former President Trump has officially resigned from the Screen Actors Guild.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Oh, well, see ya. Sad to see you go. It's just like, okay. Cool. The SAG Awards, you also love to see because it was, it's Chadwick Bozeman who, you know, he got a lot of awards, nominations, I should say. Four in the SAG Awards were best actor, best supporting actor, and two more in the ensemble castes. So. Did you watch Spike Lee's movie that came out over the summer?
Starting point is 00:51:49 The Five Bloods? Yeah. That was good. Yeah. He's fantastic. I have not watched Ma Rainey, which I want to watch because I love Viola Davis also. And she's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:52:03 So that was very, I think, normally you get a good taste of how this is going to go, and the SAG Awards, TV-wise, are very similar. Sag Awards was interesting. Women-wise in TV for drama. It's only the crown and Ozark. Like it's three women from the crown and two
Starting point is 00:52:24 women from Ozark. That's going to be a battle. Yeah. Isn't that kind of? And Bridgerton So Bridgeton got nominated for ensemble and Reggie Jean Page got nominated for actor. That's awesome. Which is awesome
Starting point is 00:52:39 because, you know, I just we all love him. And he's great. He really is great in that show. So no Emily and Paris in the SAG Award, shocking. Thank God. I really would have to re-evaluate my entire brain if Emily Parris also got nominated for the SAG Awards. I'd be like, there's something wrong with you that you're not seeing in this, in this, you know, award-winning art piece. But it seems like
Starting point is 00:53:07 somebody paints somebody. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, to have Emma Corrin, Gillian, Olivia Coleman, all from the crown, and Julia Gardner and Laura Linnie from Ozark is female actor. And I'm trying to think was there. Caleb Coco got one here as well. And you kind of think, you know, now we know Schitt's Creek racked, like they got all the awards in the Emmys last year.
Starting point is 00:53:30 And it was like their last season. They cleaned up at the Emmys. Absolutely cleaned up. So I would assume that they would maybe do the same thing for the rest of these. It would make sense. It is their final season. I think that is always taken into consideration. and now I couldn't be more rooting for them.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Team Shits Creek, so. I was always rooting for them for the awards. You know, it's always impressive to see a show win that many. You know what I mean? Yeah, totally. It's just, it was every state. It was award after award after award after award. It was just Shits Creek.
Starting point is 00:54:03 And they, of course, had a little party for it too. So it was cool to see. The Mandalorian got some nominations, which was interesting. And I believe that the Golden Globes is. well, yeah. You're like a big Star Wars person. Yeah. I don't even know that.
Starting point is 00:54:17 I'd love Star Wars. The Mandalorian's a great show. I wouldn't think it would. I didn't expect it to be nominated, but it's a great show. I feel like this is a good year that it's like you usually wouldn't win. It's like you could maybe win this year. Yeah, because everything's just been, well, everything's been all over the place with shows, but they're also, I feel like this year was more stacked with limited series.
Starting point is 00:54:37 Where it doesn't, they don't fall into the other categories. Like Queen's Gambit, the Undoing. Little Fires Everywhere. I may destroy you. I know this much is true, which I did not watch, but Mark Ruffalo is apparently fantastic in that.
Starting point is 00:54:54 So I feel like there's other like, there's so many good ones, but they don't fall in the stereotypical comedy drama categories. They're like put in the mini series television movie category that were good.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I mean, the Queens Gambits guy, I would have seen. It was so good. Little Fire. everywhere though so good so was the undoing so it's it's tough yeah yeah definitely but i don't even know when these award shows are taking place i think april it's just like they just were pushed back so much but once again some shockers to say the least uh-oh i hear some familiar faces oh that's us okay good thing good thing we did
Starting point is 00:56:00 we didn't know that was jace yeah i think we didn't start talking shit about you about some rush to do getting jailed? Yeah, the, you know, the guy that opposed Putin, who they thought got poison, now he's been jailed because he went back to Russia. Were you just talking about that? That's what I was talking about, yeah. I totally zoned out. Neither of you were listening to him when I said it.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Do I hear that voice properly? Is that what you're at? What's up? How are you guys doing? Good. How are you? I'm alive. You know, we're.
Starting point is 00:56:35 coming to an end here on season two. So it's been a crazy ride. And, you know, just soaking in what we've got left. Awesome. Yeah. We are certainly excited. Yeah, we are. We need some season two action.
Starting point is 00:56:52 I know. Yeah. I mean, this season is just, it's a crazy story. You know, I never thought that we could heighten the chaos of what we did last year. but somehow, some way, you know, we've found a way to make it work. And it's a super cool story and it's, you know, got a lot of meaning to it. I'm actually really, really proud of this season. It's my personal favorite of the two from what I've seen.
Starting point is 00:57:19 That's exciting. I was going to ask that. I didn't think you'd say, but that is exciting. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's just, I mean, I think all of the relationships that have been built over the past year and a half just all sort of confided and just like dumped on each other so you know everything that we created last year just sort of rolled into this season and so it's been fun i mean you you sort of know these people like the back of your hands and you know what gets them going you know how to piss them off
Starting point is 00:57:44 you know to really rile them up so we've we've all really tapped into that and um you know brought i think something really really special this year so we're excited yeah that's exciting let's get started so we can i feel like we start i feel like we started we should we just be like hey chase is here By the way, we already started talking. Hi, guys. One of these. I'd be like, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Yeah. I think we could just start. Yeah, yeah. All right. Yeah. Guys, we were already talking, so we might as well include all of that. Chase Stokes is here, special guest. He's been on the show.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Just throw it in. Yeah. He's been on the show a few times before. You guys know him. You're big fans of him. You've been asking for him to come back on this podcast. Every single day we have people saying. Chase, you have no idea.
Starting point is 00:58:27 It's crazy. It's crazy. It's crazy. of being like, when's Chase and Maddie coming back? When's Chase coming back? When's Maddie coming back? Just nonstop. Yeah, so people are going to be happy that you're back on. We were just talking about season two of Outer Banks.
Starting point is 00:58:42 You're coming to the end of that. I know people are really excited for that to get back on Netflix. Season two, it's coming in 2021, right? It will be coming 2021. I unfortunately don't have a date. It's crazy. I mean, I think when we started, we kind of felt like, you know, was this summer camp experience and, you know, maybe Netflix would accept us into this family. And now it's just turned into this, like, crazy, crazy secretive experience.
Starting point is 00:59:11 So, like, even getting scripts and, you know, all the information that we get, it's like all passcode, you know, locked. And it's just, it's a crazy different experience. So it's really cool. It's cool to be a part of something that at first you're like, I don't know what's going to happen. Like, we think it's cool. and now we're kind of embarking on this journey on a different layer and seeing how tight-lipped we're forced to be
Starting point is 00:59:35 and I think it's for the best too because I think everybody has seen the scenes that have leaked on TikTok and all the socials so we've just tried to do our best to really keep it locked in and when it's time to come out I think everybody's going to be
Starting point is 00:59:51 I think they're going to be excited yeah and in the first season obviously, you know, you guys, the chemistry between the entire cast was very obvious watching the first season. But after that, you guys became even closer. You quarantined together. I'm sure you spent a lot of time together. Do you think we're going to see that even more now on screen? How close you guys have become? Yeah. I mean, we were just talking the other day about how ridiculous the blooper reel was last year. And just going through like all of the different moments that we've known we've caught on camera this season. It's just an absolute riot. And I think
Starting point is 01:00:31 it's just benefited the show. You know, like we all are so much more aware of each other's personalities, whether it's like, I don't know if I'm trying to piss off JD to try to get something out of them. Like I know how to push his buttons or, you know, what makes Rudy or Bailey tick in these circumstances. So I just think it has helped tenfold in every element. I mean, we do so much improv. So, you know, whether it's sitting here in my living room and just kind of shooting the shit the night before work or whatever, just kind of prepping things. It's just changed the whole dynamic. And that jic-jackie friendship that, you know, made the show what it was is just, oh, my God,
Starting point is 01:01:06 there's a lot of really, really funny stuff this year. So I'm super thankful that everything happened in the ways that it was. I mean, quarantine was sort of our best friend in some shape, way and form. And it's just helped us get so much closer. And we all kind of live in this apartment complex here in Charleston. And it's like a dormitory. So everybody is next door to one another. And that's just obviously created just an absolute riot of an environment here when, you know, we have some downtime.
Starting point is 01:01:35 And we do it, you know, COVID safe because we're getting tested every day. But it's just, I think it's for sure helped the show tenfold. Yeah. I was going to say, you know, we were all so nervous at, you know, the end of last year with how are they going to be able to film season two? Is it going to get delayed even more all because of COVID and whatnot? but you guys were able to go back to production. How has that been? How have you guys dealt with being on this set,
Starting point is 01:02:01 but obviously being careful? And on top of that, I've seen you say and put tweets out too of people, because you guys are so popular now and people know where you're filming. So you kind of have to manage that whole situation too. Yeah. You know, I think COVID has been an incredibly hard challenge for the industry as a whole. I mean, it's like, you know, every morning when you get to work, like usually I'll drink a coffee.
Starting point is 01:02:23 when I get there. But now it's like, before I do anything, it's a swab shoved up my nose. And that's, you know, the best cup of coffee you can get because it just like immediately wakes you up. Yeah, yeah. But, you know, face masks, face shields, the six feet. I mean, we have a whole COVID team now. We have epidemiologists at Netflix who monitor everything and sort of give us what we can and can't do. So it's been a very, very sort of anxious environment at first, but we sort of figured out just as we did last year, like how do we make this comfortable? How do we make this work for us? And weirdly enough, our UPM, Carol Peterman, she did a lot of help with Netflix internally to sort of write sort of the how to operate under these conditions because we were one of the first shows back. So we've been adapting and sort of persevering through all of this.
Starting point is 01:03:12 But, you know, I think it's just really a testament to our show in general. You know, like we just have an environment that we find ways to make, you know, engaging and fun. And even when we're wearing face shields and face masks, I mean, we have. haven't released any tomfoolery, obviously, because, you know, we're a little bit more tight-lit this year, and there's a little bit more of a presence on the show than there once was. So just so much ridiculous shit with the masks on and whatnot. But even with the fans, you know, we were shooting in downtown Charleston for three days, and it was crazy.
Starting point is 01:03:45 I mean, within an hour, there was hundreds, and I'm not talking like one or two hundred. It was like six, seven hundred people who showed up just to, like, see what was going on. And so, you know, in those environments, obviously, you know, for one, you want other people to be safe. But two, you know, if one of those people gets close to us and infects me or infects Maddie or Bailey or Rudy or J.D. or whomever, that shuts a showdown. So having to operate under those conditions of finally getting to see people face to face, but realizing like we can't have the same social interactions that we would normally have if, you know, we were in a different environment and the pandemic wasn't what it was. So it's been it's been crazy. It's been a learning experience for sure. But definitely ready to go back to an environment to where you can work similar to, you know, the first season.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Yeah. Yeah. And the first time we talked to you guys, obviously, you know, you were getting all these followers. The show first came out. Everything was new to you guys. And we had asked you, you know, have you been recognized because you can't really go anywhere? And I think you had a few stories about a couple of people. how did you adjust different now, way different now, how did you guys adjust to that life?
Starting point is 01:04:56 Because I'm sure, you know, you go out to eat somewhere, you go wherever just to pick up some food and there's just a crowd of people that come up to you immediately. Yeah, I mean, I, I mean, it's crazy. Every day I leave from work, I have people who fall in my car. I have, you know, a couple restaurants that I can get away with going to because they know I'm going to, you know, stop by and pick up food. But yeah, I mean, I've had every day. I've had every experience from like people almost passing out to I had a group of sorority sisters at College of Charleston who shot their car off a loading dock and ripped their front bumper off the car trying to get a picture of me while I was walking. I mean, you guys are cool, but like, you know. I was like, you don't destroy your car.
Starting point is 01:05:41 Like, I don't want that. I mean, it was kind of a funny story because everybody was up in the apartment. And I came up and I was like, I almost just got ran over. It was when Milo was like, you know, 12 pounds. So just scared that literally he peed himself because he was so scared. Yeah. That's your dog, by the way, in case anyone didn't know. Oh, Milo, the new guy on set.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Yeah, he's a new character. Character in my life, that's for sure. Yeah. But yeah, no, it's, it's been, it's been crazy. I mean, it's cool to meet people from every different, you know, point in society that I've appreciated the show. Like I've had, I was getting dog food one time. And this lady who was like in her early 70s.
Starting point is 01:06:25 She's like, Outer Banks was one of my favorite shows of all time. And I was like, yeah. Thank you. And then, you know, you have younger girls who just scream at the apartment complex and wait for you to come outside. So it's cool. It's been exciting and it's been fun. And we have a special guest, I think, that's going to come and say hi. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 01:06:49 You can come in and say hello. It's just us. Who is it? I'm already blushing. I don't have the video. Hello. Maddie's here. How are you?
Starting point is 01:07:04 I'm good. How are you? We're good. I don't see it. Oh, you don't see us? It's just like being on the phone. Oh, it's okay. You can hear us, though.
Starting point is 01:07:14 That's all that matters. Oh, man. Well, we look beautiful. Like, I just want to throw it out. out there. We can describe ourselves. First, I thought you said we look beautiful and I was like, I, you are. No, you, I mean, you also do, but I was talking about ourselves. And that is very conceited of you. This is about them, not us.
Starting point is 01:07:35 But Maddie, you do look beautiful. I don't even need to see you to know. Wait, didn't you change her hair? I did change my hair. Thank you for remembering. I'm a honored. She's a burnet now. Oh, my God. Thank you. I've, it's, oh, double change.
Starting point is 01:07:50 Yeah, it's been a long journey because I, you know, people don't like it. Some people like it. So I'm trying to just accept it. So honestly, you liking it, Maddie, just made me feel better. Oh, look at you. Doing good deeds. Oh, man. Well, honestly, this is kind of a good little segue into Chase.
Starting point is 01:08:13 You're here to talk to us about kind of like, you know, your diet when you're dating and things like that. So do you and Maddie have different restrictions? Like, do you guys eat differently? Because like you said, and there are couples that eat different food, it can be a problem because you go out to dinner and you're like, what do we order? We can't share anything. What are we supposed to do? Right.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Actually, so Grubhub or DoorDash postmates Uber Eats has been kind of a lifesaver in that aspect because. Yeah, totally. sometimes, well, sometimes I cheat, but for the most part, while we're filming, I try to stay on, like, a pretty strict diet just because I feel better. I sleep better. And I just all around feel like my brain function is better, which is not saying much, but, you know, here we are. There we are. 2020. But not really.
Starting point is 01:09:10 I mean, it's just one of those things you learn how to work around. It hasn't really been hard to adapt to. I mean, like, I, you know, initially I wasn't vegan. I'm still not vegan or vegetarian. I kind of threw that term, flexitarian, around because I still eat pretty much any and everything, sort of like a human dumpster. But it's been nice because Maddie has kind of opened my eyes up to the vegan diet. And that's why this partnership with Sweeter has been so great, because it's actually a really
Starting point is 01:09:39 great product. Like, I don't, I don't, you know, have any negative thoughts about it. The food is fantastic. and it's been fun for us to kind of incorporate that into our diet. And it's also been great too because with this whole quarantine, you know, there's only so many places you can eat and only so many things you can do. And we're super limited in what we can go out and do because of filming. Like we're super, super, super locked down.
Starting point is 01:10:02 And so it's been great because, you know, Sweet Earth has obviously hooked us up and, you know, we've been eating a lot of their products. What are some of your favorite things that they make that you guys have? So, go ahead. I am personally a really, really big fan of the mindful chicken. That, it has a really great flavor, too. I mean, it's, stole the words out of my mouth. Yeah, my favorite is with buffalo sauce and ranch.
Starting point is 01:10:33 We all get it. We all just made the same sound at the same time. That was kind of gross about us. All three of us just went, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. It's sound bite. Yeah, it is. It's perfect for sweeter. Yeah, we use that a lot.
Starting point is 01:10:46 Yeah, I know. That'll be their radio spot. You know, mindful chicken is great just because I was so hesitant for the longest time in trying, like, a vegan chicken option. Yeah. And so I was like, all right, let's see what's going on here. And I tried it, and it actually tastes like chicken and, you know, mix as well when you put sauces on it. Shawshed. Shawshed.
Starting point is 01:11:09 And so I really enjoyed it. And then they have a couple new products. They have the veggie lovers pizza, which is really good. I've been on like a big tie kick, and they have a pad tie bowl. And they also have this. It's called the Curry Tiger Burrito, which is actually bomb. So I've really kind of enjoyed them diving into like a little bit of a newer space in the cuisine world of new fresh flavors.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Yeah, it helps to have variety. I mean, I'm a big fan of vegan chicken. And like I've been, yeah, I've, I used to, I used to eat like vegan chicken nuggets all the time in college. I could just like pop them in the microwave and just, you know, dip, dip away. Yeah. But it's nice because the variety helps to not get bored. Because when you're bored, you tend to want to cheat on your diet. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:02 So it's pretty great. Yeah. And it sounds like it sounds like there's good flavor. too because I feel like sometimes with healthy foods or things like this, you'll try it out and the flavor is not there. And it's just like, oh, I feel like I'm eating healthy. But with this, it sounds like all the flavors are there. So it tastes good.
Starting point is 01:12:22 And you don't feel like, oh, this is boring. I have to eat. Yeah. What we've tried other options. Like prior to doing this, you know, the Sweet Earth Partnership, I was kind of trying to be a good partner and eat vegan options. And some of the times I was like, oh, that's a lot. Wow. That's good.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Yummy. And then we stumbled across the partnership and I was like, Maddie. Yeah, he told me that I needed to try it. Yeah. You need to try it. And I was like, wait a minute. Am I like bringing this to the table?
Starting point is 01:12:52 Like, is this a legit thing that we're going to consistently eat? And it has been. Like, it's been something that has saved us over and over again, especially when, you know, you get off work at like 4 a.m. or 7 a.m. And you're like, I need substance in my body now. Yeah. It's been, you know, a big asset to us. Yeah, I really, my favorite thing to do, and my friend Caroline turned me onto this,
Starting point is 01:13:13 but she would make this, like, Mediterranean bowl. And it's got, like, it has figs to bully. I'm getting hungry. Same. I'm sorry to say this. It had, like, cucumbers. See, that's where you lose me. It's every time.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Like, Baba going to use or hummus. And there's a few more things, but I like to put. put the chicken in it and it mixes really well. And quinoa, um, like some calamada olives. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That sounds like there's like a fast, like a
Starting point is 01:13:49 Chipotle type place in, uh, in the city that does bowls like that, um, that are that are fantastic with those are good. Chase, are you not a cucumber guy? No cucumbers for you. I can't, I can't do cucumbers or pickles. What? Oh, man. We're a big pickle podcast. Big pickle gal. I love pickles and he gives me such a dirty
Starting point is 01:14:10 You know sometimes Maddie will put pickles in my facial area just to mess with me Yeah, just to put him out Yeah, that's good Maddie. I'm glad you do that. We're on your side. Yeah, totally. That's for sure. Sorry, no, it's great too because when he gets pickles with whatever he's eating,
Starting point is 01:14:28 you get to eat them. I get double. She does, yeah. I get the same thing with my boyfriend. I just get his pickles because he hates. pickles and I'm like I used to be mad at it and be like I can't date you if you don't like pickles but now it's a win a win win situation see we adapt and overcome that's really yeah well chase you have become quite the spokesperson for sweet earth and you're going to do a
Starting point is 01:14:50 Q&A and if people want to keep up with the Q&As that you're doing they can go to I'ma veggie liver dot com and they can hear more yeah the way that you're eating we're prepared we're prepared yeah we got it right in front of us you guys got a spot at the Q&A Yeah. But I want to, you just mentioned that, you know, you're filming until 7 a.m. 4 a.m. sometimes. And I saw a tweet of yours that said, like, something about what the cast went through that day. That was like the hardest. I don't remember exactly what it was. And now Maddie's covering her mouth. Am I not allowed to talk about this? Can you give us a little hint as to what you were talking about? Yeah, I think I'll talk because you're a spoiler gal. I know, I'm bad. I'm really bad. I'll say, thank you. My filter is broken. Yeah. No, I think this season, you know, kind of touching on what we were talking about earlier. Like, it's just, it's so cool to kind of work with people and see everybody's performances just continue to grow and as actors and actresses. Like, to watch everybody just do such great work and storytelling-wise, like, the story is just so compelling this year.
Starting point is 01:15:58 And it's, I think, yeah. Yeah. So to kind of just see everybody doing. their specific jobs and watching that collectively come together and then seeing the show. I think it was one of those days where we hit a point kind of like last season where you see something happen and you're like, oh, this is going to work. Like this season is going to work. And I think people are really going to dig it. It was one of those moments.
Starting point is 01:16:22 And it was just, you know, we constantly have these pinch me moments with the show where we're like, I can't believe it's happening and it's working. And people really connect to it. And so it was just a moment where we were working and I was just, super thankful and not going to give away what it was. This season is just really, really awesome. Like I told you guys earlier, I do think
Starting point is 01:16:46 this is my favorite of the two. For a number of reasons that I think when it comes out, you guys will finally be like, oh, that's what he meant. And I hope that everybody has that same realization because it is really, really compelling storytelling. And it's also funny as hell. And it's also chaotic per usual in the Pogs, you know, doing some poeg shit.
Starting point is 01:17:08 We can't wait. We're already going to have to start brainstorming on our season two. Merch. No, our merch. Like, we've got to get on it already. Yeah. No, I, I'm super, super, super excited for this. I mean, I don't, I don't know if I've ever been more excited.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Like, I feel like a kid on Christmas and I know I've given my mom a gift for the first time. And it's really just like a card on, you know, colored paper with. gray old markers. Yeah. I still do that. I still do that. Maddie's like I have all of those in my drawer from gifts from you. Maddie, would you agree that this is your favorite season as well out of the two?
Starting point is 01:17:53 I, so I'm immensely proud of this season and I haven't like last season, we saw like bits and pieces because we were able to go to the sound mixes. And this time we're obviously not able to do that because of COVID. Yeah. So it feels like, you know, it's one of those things where it feels like it's a little bit more intense because, you know, you can't really check yourself or like, you know, check your progress on things. And so you're just like showing up on the day and like, you know, not wanting to put anything down on the day that you're not proud of. So I and I think everybody kind of collectively has that, you know, that mentality.
Starting point is 01:18:34 And so, like, just to reiterate what Chase is saying, like, you know, I'm super, super proud of the cast. Like, you can collectively feel everyone taking what they learned in season one as actors and applying it in season two. And everybody really stepped up their game. And I'm super proud to be a part of that. And it's also, it's also one of those things when you have really difficult days. You see everybody step up to the plate and, you know, no complaining. And, you know, just putting their heads down and doing the work. And like that kind of professionalism is it's contagious.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Yeah. And it's just really cool to see in a group of friends as well as cool workers. Yeah. I wish I could sit here and spoil the whole thing. But that kind of. So do we. So do we. I mean, so do we, but also we don't because the anticipation is there for us.
Starting point is 01:19:22 We're so excited for you guys. We're so excited for everybody to watch it because the first season was so great. Like, here's are winning people's choice awards. Everyone's binging the show. Like it's up there. Yeah. Yeah, congrats on that. Where I feel like you haven't even fully been able to celebrate how amazing this show was for at least the first season because of COVID.
Starting point is 01:19:43 And now you're already into season two. And it's like, wait a second. We never even really got to celebrate the first season as much. We didn't have a premiere. Yeah, we didn't even have a premiere of the show. I mean, the first time we watched it was in Maddie's apartment with everyone. Like that was our first experience in quarantine. So we haven't had any true experience.
Starting point is 01:20:03 with all of that. I just want to real quickly, if you don't mind, I'm going to do a little subtle plugs for the website and where the Q&A is going to be. So it's going to be Wednesday, February 10th, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. And it's going to be myself and Damona Hoffman. And it's going to be kind of a fun Q&A.
Starting point is 01:20:20 I just sort of talking about what it's like to be dating somebody who is a vegan. Don't, don't, don't. Wow. And just like sort of life questions and touching up on like mental health and how we've adapted to sort of eating during this whole COVID pandemic and what it's like, you know, having to adapt and sort of conquer a diet where a lot of places it's sort of a little bit different.
Starting point is 01:20:46 Like, you know, in the South, it's not necessarily as prominent as it would be in major cities. So how we've adapted to it and continue to push forward and, you know, healthy eating, especially while you're working. Like the last thing you want to do is eat something that's just going to destroy your stomach. And then you're sitting in your trailer just, you know, with the worst stomach experience ever. So it's been awesome. So we're going to do that a Q&A. So people who want to sign up, it's limited, you know, spaces available. I think you guys said it earlier, but it's, um, veggie lever.
Starting point is 01:21:18 Atcom. Dot com. Perfect. But yeah. Great. Well, we're super excited for that. Super excited for you guys. Sweet Earth foods.
Starting point is 01:21:26 Go get them. Go eat them. You know how much Maddie and Chase love them. And before we let you go, Chase, you had just put. posted too. I want to make sure we plug this. I think you're a part of a new series on Amazon Prime that's coming out February 19th. I mean, that's soon. So I want to make sure everybody knows to tune into that. Yeah. Yeah. So it's called Tell Me Your Secrets, Lily Raib, who is incredible and Amy Brennamen are leading that. So it's an awesome
Starting point is 01:21:54 ensemble of incredible female actresses. And it's the people who did Big Little Lies and the Undoing, which was kind of a chaotic experience. Both amazing shows. It is, if you took both of those and they had like a little chaotic baby with a murderous roller coaster twist, that's kind of that show. So I don't know. Yeah, it does. Well, that sounds fantastic.
