Like you said, we're getting into the crisp weather, maybe getting a little chillier, which means we're heading into red season. I know some people drink red all year round. I'm one of those people, but there are, you know, I feel like it's more generally expected that you drink red wine when it's colder outside. People are like, oh, you can't drink red wine in the summer. I think that's ridiculous. Anyway, more people drink red wine when it's cold. So we're getting to that point. They have amazing reds, a nice cabernet, a nice chilled, red, maybe you like your red a little bit, you know, on the colder side. Temperature wise. I do. I do. Temperature wise. Yeah, that's, you know, my mom likes that as well. You know, people, you know, say the traditional way are supposed to leave your red at like room temperature. But sometimes when it's cold, it is fantastic. And Franzia has every variety of red wine that

you would like to drink. They have it go stock up now. Stock up on that chillable red for your cold months. Now I'm just like, oh, my mouth is watering for some nice red wine, cold to be exact. Can't forget, it has to be cold. Even though everyone's going to be mad at us. You have to drink it. Room temperature. We're not doing that. Room temp. Chilable red only. Francesca, how are you doing on this lovely Sunday afternoon? I'm well. Like I said, last week, I have been at a camp in New Hampshire. Shout out, you know, Camp Winaki, if you have anyone that in the future, you know, right now, they're, they obviously didn't have camp this summer. But if you know anybody, you want to send a boy to camp, he's between

the ages of seven and seven and 15. It's an all-boys camp. Camp Winaki, Joe, my boyfriend, his sister and her husband run this camp. It's fantastic. We got a little bit of a taste of a camp experience. Got to zip line, got to take some kayaks out, you know, There's just, so many activities. They just, it's obviously a boys camp, endless activities. And it was nice. But I definitely got a taste of the colder weather because it was beautiful during the day and then cold at night. Like 40 in the high 40s.

And did it make you angry or did it make you feel good? No, it was nice. It sounds good, right? Yeah, we had a nice fire going. I had a beanie on. Oh, yeah. You know, in this day and age, anything. sort of change. It's a blessing. It's like, oh, you know, we've been dealing with hot, you know, warm

weather for so long. Give us something cold. Let us feel something a little bit. Shock our system. Because I feel like everyone's so numb to everything now. It's like bad news after bad news after bad news. Yeah, definitely. Nice cold weather to shock your system. A nice campfire. Sounds beautiful. It was really nice. And then, you know, it is Sunday. Football is back. NFL is back. I just finished watching the Eagles game. That was so bad. Ria doesn't have to listen to me ramble about it anymore because now you can go listen to the dime package.

A new football show. An episode is actually dropping today as well Monday afternoon. If you want to hear me ramble about the Eagles. Ria, we can talk about literally anything else. but you now have a place for it, which is even better. So I personally, like, you're an amazing friend because you listen to me and you're just like, I'm here for you and I understand. You know, you can't keep it pent up any longer. No. You used to have the radio show where you'd come in on Monday.

I think that, listen, I'm not like anti-sports. I love watching sports, but I just root for such bad teams that I'm not as passionate as you are. Like your team stinks, but you're still passionate about them. Yeah, yeah. I was kind of told to root for, you know, the Jets and Mets growing up from my parents. And then it was kind of like, all right, you know, I'm not like. I'm not like, I won't watch, but I'm not as into it. Islanders too.

But I also think, and this is crazy, and it's something that, you know, people might get mad at me for. Ever since I started working at Barstool, I started caring about sports less. And it was a very weird thing that happened. Very weird thing that happened. That does seem backwards. It's very backwards. But like 2015 and maybe because it's the year the Mets were so good, but I was so into baseball. and then all of a sudden something changed.

I started working at Barcelona and then it was like, I, you know, I think it's because there's so many people there that know so much about sports. And I was going to say, there's so many people who care so much. Yeah. So much and know so much more than me that I kind of was like, oh, okay, I'm not that big of a sports fan. So I just realized my place. You know what I mean. Yeah.

Whereas you know what you're talking about. You're very passionate about it, which is great. Yep. So, yeah. And like I said, Ria, how was your weekends? It was good. I'm, you know, it was good. I, this is what I do.

I pick an Italian restaurant to go every week. And that is like my good night out. And I go and I get drunk and I eat some really good food. And it's also your night to get put on a fire outfit. Had a conversation with Hank and I was like, if you don't have style, get the fuck out of my face. Like I just, I, like, that's literally me. I have no style. No, no, no, no. No, you do, Fran, you do. There are people out there who straight up have no style. And I'm just like, even if you don't like my style, you know what I mean?

Even if you think I have bad style. It's definitely a style. Yes. Like, have something. Have something. Have a thing. Have a thing. Have a thing.

And I just, that's what I'm passionate about lately. Every week it's something new. This week, it's about having style. I just am like, you know what, New York City, and this is the common conversation now, oh, is New York City dead? What's happening to New York City? It's never going to die, but it's definitely not the same as it was, right? Like, you know, we used to go out, you go to dinner, then you go to a bar after, then maybe you go to a club after. And the night's not ending until four in the morning. Your night doesn't start really besides dinner until midnight in New York. Right. Now you go to dinner. Yeah. And then you kind of got to go home. And then you're drunk and you look around. You're like, I guess I'm going to go home. Yeah. I guess that's it. So you know what? Make the most of it. Pick out a fire outfit. Go to a nice dinner and make that a night. That's the life these days. It also brings me back to when you were younger, did you and your friends like meet up with guys in your grade, say like seventh and eighth grade at, at least grade at. like a random restaurant, say friendlies, like every weekend. That is what I used to do in seventh

and eighth grade. Every weekend, we'd meet up at friendlies and then you just go home. And I'm like, that is life now. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I was like afraid of boys still in middle school. So my experience was more like Friday after school. And I had a, you know, quote unquote boyfriend in eighth grade. But we would go hang out in the park behind the library. She's like the most typical thing ever. And he would text me and say like, I'm at the front of the library. And if I was in the front, I would run to the back.

And then text him back and be like, oh, I'm in the back. And just a chase. for like hours. And did you kiss this? And then I'd actually talk to him for like five minutes in person. Did you kiss this boy in eighth grade? Yeah, towards the end of eighth grade. Yeah, same.

I feel like I had my first really official kiss in eighth grade because I was like terrified. I wasn't terrified of boys in the way that I think you explain you're terrified of boys. Terrified of you. I talked to a lot of them, but I definitely was like, you know, a prude. I like was scarred when I found out what a blowjob was. I was like, I will never do that in my life. That's disgusting. Are you kidding me? So I had my first kiss in sixth grade, but I barely, like missed each other's mouths. It was a whole thing. Got made fun of it for it. But in, I think it was eighth grade or ninth grade, somebody made a joke

about me and was like, yeah, right, man, like, she won't even touch you with a 10 foot pole about like me being proven. I was like, I'm in like eighth grade. Let's chill out. Yeah, yeah. That's like now looking back, it's like proud of you. Like, you know, that's, that was, that's the reputation you want to have in eighth grade. Right. Like I, you know, I knew some girls in eighth grade that were really getting around. I was like, scared of them. I was like, Jesus. I don't even, that's disgusting to me. Yeah, they're just children. Yeah. But, but anyways, going to friendlies on the weekend. Right, right. Now, exactly. It feels like you, everybody has like a curfew, you know. Truly.

And it's like, are we even allowed to hang out with each other? Very confusing. But it is what it is. We're making the most of it. We're living life. We got a lot of topics, a lot of topics to talk about today. A lot of good ones, or one specifically very good one that I'm excited to talk about today. We got Chris Evans accidentally released a picture of his camera roll.

Yeah. Multiple photos that are in question, including a dick pick. We'll get to it. some sad news about Colton and Cassie. Cassie had to file a restraining order against Colton some very serious issues going on. We'll talk about that. Victoria F. and crystals have broken up.

Harry Stiles would be starring in a brand new movie. Denise Richards will not be returning to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And we have a fantastic interview with the one, the only, Tyra Banks, who will give you straight up chills when you listen to this interview? Like for 20 minutes after your body will feel bliss. Yes. He was number one trending on Twitter all a Saturday. We're talking about our man, Chris Evans. He had a little accident, a little incident this past weekend when he went on social media.

He went on Instagram and he accidentally posted a visual of his camera role on his Instagram story. people recorded it right away. And we got to talk about a few things. Number one, he had a dick pick in there. Black and white, very classy of Chris Evans. Give him props for that. Lots of respect. Number two, this man had a meme of himself,

a picture of himself with the words across it saying, guard that pussy. Chris Evans had a picture of himself saved in his phone saying, guard that pussy. I am not over it. And you know, the more I look at it, I have more and more questions. Because at first, it seemed,

hmm, maybe this isn't real or people thought the screenshot was fake. But it was clear. People have been very clear that they watched this story on his Instagram and it immediately changed to this. If you watch the whole clip, It seems like it's him and some of his friends playing heads up.

He was trying to just, that's the worst part of this. He was just trying to post a playful, innocent clip of him and his pals playing heads up. One of the more innocent games there are. And now not only is Captain America guarding our nation, he is guarding our pussies and making us feel safe. Thank you, Chris Evans. That was, listen, we could, we get, we get, talk about the dick pick, we can not talk about the dick pick. It is what it is. GERthy lad.

That's, I'll say. Just thick. A lot of girth. There's really not too much to say about it besides just girthy. T-H-I-C-C-C-C. Yeah. Yep. Thick. Moving on from the dick-pick. Yeah. The most important part of the camera role was this meme. Like I saw all these people in talking about the dick pick. I'm just like, how are we going to keep talking about a dick pick when, you know, it's a dick pick. Okay, Chris Evans had a dick pick in his phone. We're all happy about it. He is a sexual being. We're proud of him. Okay. Black and white. Chris Evans is classy. But where did this meme come from? Did somebody send it to him? Did Chris Evans make it? Was he just laughing with his friends? That's what I picture. I picture his friends saw this picture of him,

rope guard that pussy or they just found this meme already made, sent it to him and he saved it. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for as well because there is that meme on top of more pictures of himself that are like old pictures. There's one before that, that's an old picture of him. And then the two after that are the same picture that are also him that are old pictures of him. So it is a very random camera role, I would say. I feel bad for Chris Evans because, you know, he was late to the game with social media. He wasn't on Instagram.

He finally makes an Instagram. Everybody knows him for his wholesome content. He's always posting with his dog. It's some great stuff. And he continued to try and do that with heads up. And here's the thing. But I still just don't, and this is no, no, I would never. criticize Chris Evans. Never. But I don't understand how celebrities can take this a picture like

this if this is, you know, his package and keep it on there, not delete it, not move it somewhere else, but keep it in on the phone. It's just, this happens too often. I know. I feel like Chris Evans hasn't listened to the podcast, sadly, and hasn't gotten a lesson in the cloud and doesn't realize that you can't just leave a dick pick loud and clear like that. Right in the beginning of your camera roll, if somebody takes your phone and goes through your camera roll and they see the first three pictures, they're seeing your dick, dude. What if you hand your friend your phone? You're like, hey, watch this video. Slide over once, there's your dick. And when did the dick pick come into play? Because it looks like there's a nice video of maybe an outdoor patio.

Some serious bachelor news broke this past Friday where TMZ obtained legal documents, and according to TMZ, they said that Cassie filed a restraining order against Colton

Friday in Los Angeles. It's not completely clear what all the allegations were, but some has come to light, and it's pretty serious and pretty scary. They said TMZs obtained the court docs in which Cassie claims Colton's been stalking and harassing her with unsettling text messages. She claims Colton also went as far as planting a tracking device taped to the bottom of the back bumper of her car to keep track of her whereabouts. And then there's this.

Cassie claims Colton's been showing up uninvited to her L.A. apartment and parents' house in Huntington Beach. She claims he takes obsessive walks to her apartment complex and loitered in the alley outside her bedroom window at her parents' Huntington Beach House at 2 a.m. Very scary details. very alarming. I feel so bad for Cassie. And by the way, we're going to talk about all this, but we just want to clarify one thing. Noah, our producer, he runs our Chicks in the Office Twitter account. He tweets, you know, all of our tweets from there. And he tweeted something

this past weekend that we were not aware of. I actually didn't even know the situation happened until right before the podcast. Noah was telling Fran and I about it. And Noah feels really bad about the situation and just wanted to say some words. Yeah. My main thing on Twitter is just to make jokes. So I saw the headline. And my first reaction was just to make a joke. And then went on to read the article and saw how serious everything was and how scary

it is. And just a really dumb, stupid mistake by me. She never tweeted it. I took it down and just wanted to apologize to everyone. Not funny. And Ryan Friend didn't even know I tweeted it until today. They didn't see the tweet. And it's not who I am to tweet something like that.

out or make light of a situation like this. So just want to one more time. Apologize to everyone. Yeah. So like Noah said, we were unaware of the tweet because this is definitely very serious and we don't want to be making jokes about it at all. It's pretty disturbing. I don't know what we don't know all the details.

And this, to get to this point shows how serious it is. And there's a few things that I assume about Cassie that just makes sense. You know, we don't know her personally. But she seems very real and very down to earth and very family oriented. She's always been one to kind of call out the Bachelor for things, for hiding the truth a little bit. Or fabricating things for storylines. You know, she recently talked about going. on greatest of all time for that little stint interview and that they had talked about so many

other things, but they made it seem like they had just talked about Colton. And that that snowballed into a public fight between her and Colton. So I think for it to get to this point and her family, I'm sure, is involved because like I said, she and her family are so, so close and I don't think she would do something like this well, the guidance of her family and advice from them because they are, I'm sure, very worried about her if this is happening around their own home, not even just Cassie, but where their family home is.

So it's all really intense. Cassie also said that Colan has sent her harassing text messages, including accusing her of hanging out with her old ex-boyfriend. She alleged that Coln also sent anonymous text messages to her and to himself pretending to also be a victim of the anonymous stalker. Cassie claims Colton later admitted to sending the messages and planting the tracking device. So I don't know what's going on with Colin,

but that's really scary. Like to give the point where you're planning a tracking device, you're not okay. No, there's definitely something very serious going on. I mean, that is, it gives me chills thinking about, first of all, Cassie being in danger like that. Like, that's a very serious situation. You're having somebody who you once trusted and loved so much,

now stalk you, track you. It's almost like you never even knew the person that you dated at that point. because, you know, obviously we don't know much about their relationship on the inside of it, but from the outside, it seemed like when they broke up, it was, you know, they seemed like they were civil or at least they were trying to be. So I didn't really get the hint that something like this was going on, but maybe it was this whole time. Maybe it was worse than we ever thought. I mean, you know, we did see on the show from the beginning. Cassie didn't exactly want to be with Colton. She wasn't dying to be with Colton. And then all of a sudden they stayed together.

for, you know, what was it two years. So who knows what had been going on this whole time behind the scenes. I'm just hoping that Cassie and her family are okay, because I am sure that they are in such an uncomfortable position, not even being able to be comfortable in your own home is probably the worst feeling ever. Your home is your sanctuary. It's supposed to be where you feel safe. To go home at night and feel like somebody's watching you is one of the scariest feelings. I can't even imagine it. So I hope that Cassie safe, I hope that Colton gets the help that he needs because there's clearly something wrong here. Like he needs help. That's really the only way to put it. Like something is off and it needs to be dealt with immediately. Exactly. And another thing,

it has to be bad also because Cassie and Colan both seemed like they were so protective over each other with not giving too much to the press about talking about their relationship. They never even really went into details about the breakup. You know, they tried to, like you said, tried to keep it civil. So for it to get to this point where they have to do this when I'm sure they're aware that obviously this is going to become a public thing, these are public records. And for it to get media attention, it had to be bad enough where they knew that it that it was something that needed to be done and would be worth doing.

So really, really crazy, really crazy. Definitely. And like we said, just hoping for their safety at this point. Yeah. Some big Harry Styles News and number four, Chris News. Harry Styles joins Olivia Wilde's new movie, Don't Worry, Darling. It stars Chris Pine, Florence Pew. It was supposed to be Shile Abuff, but now Harry Styles is taking Shile

Abuff's place. Thank God. Listen, love Shia LaBuff, but Harry Styles over Shia LaBuff. It's amazing. And Harry will play Florence Pugh's picture perfect husband who is hiding a dark secret. Ooh. I love it. Now, am I a little disappointed? Because I think he is very careful with his business moves and career moves. So movie-wise, I'm sure there's been so many roles that he's been offered, and I feel like he's probably been very selective. Would I have loved his next thing to have been doing The Little Mermaid? Yes, I would have. But clearly, he sees a direction in which he wants his acting career to go in, I feel like. And it seems like he wants to be taken seriously as an actor, which makes sense, because he's going in with, you know, Olivia Wild.

she has established herself as a great director. Florence is fantastic. Chris Pine, fantastic. And he took this opportunity that came up because of, you know, Shia backing, backing out because of scheduling conflicts. And I think he's actually,

I think he's going to crush it. Some kind of dark, haunting role seems perfect for him. There's not a lot of a description about the movie, but Deadline said that it is set in an isolated utopian community in the 1950s California desert. Sounds perfect for him. Sounds like I am going to be oddly attracted to this character,

even though he's hiding a dark secret. It's Harry Stiles. And I do think it's the perfect role for him. You mentioned, you know, you would love to see him in The Little Mermaid. I actually think the opposite. I think I am happy to see this be like his big first role just because it's very different than anything he's ever done before.

It's so different. It's so not Disney. It's just the perfect. group of people. Olivia Wilde being the director makes me so happy. I love Olivia Wilde. Um, so it's a really, I'm really excited for this. I, it's one of those things where you hear about this movie and then you just wait and wait and wait until it comes out. And it's obviously going to be a long time, but I am very much prepared. Also, Chris Pine now comes into the question. Does he move to the number three spot? Because Chris Pratt slacking. We're seeing nothing from him. Right. He's,

you know, he's not tickling our fancy very much. Chris Pine is, now going to be starring in a movie with Harry Siles, one of our one true loves. Yes, TBD, but it definitely is a step in the right direction. Now, if we, when this movie is filmed or when it comes out and we're getting a lot of Harry Styles Chris Pine content together, maybe they're doing press or whatever it is if they're going to be allowed to do those types of things, 100%. That's an immediate bump. Like you get that Harry Silas bump. I think that's an immediate bump. Just depends on, on how connected they get. Because if he's just kind of like in this movie and, and it's like whatever, then, you know, that's not, I don't know if that does enough. Does Chris Pine play his role

correctly here and swoop in with Harry Styles? That is what we need to see. That will be the answer to our question. If he does make the right moves, he'll be moved to number three. All we need to watch carefully. Yes. All it will take is one photo of Harry Stiles and Chris Pine. You know, we've seen Chris leaving these bookstores. He's holding books. He's in his little hat.

He looks very cute. One photo of him and Harry Styles carrying books walking out of a bookstore together, that's, he's bumped. With sweaters on. He takes over the number three. With knitted sweaters on. Yes, cardigan. With a teddy bear on it, both of them, and they're, and they're cracking up.

Because you're dating Zach Braff. You're

Denise Richards is officially out of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She will not be returning for a third season. It's really not that shocking from the way that this season went down. It kind of seemed like the obvious thing that she wouldn't come back.

But I don't know. It's, there's just so much going on and I feel like she and Bravo maybe weren't the best fit. Even though Andy Cohen did say that they were trying to make a deal happen.

So they were in talks. There was discussions of her to come back and that they just didn't work out. So maybe Denise wanted more money. Who knows? I just think Denise is never going to be on the show if she's going to keep lying and doesn't want to be filmed

and doesn't want things on camera and send cease and sis. It's just not going to work. That's not real housewives of anything. They show, you know, as much real stuff as they can. They don't say, hey, you can't put this in. They know what they signed up for. And I feel like Denise just got a rude awakening.

And she didn't want to admit to what happened with Brandy and I think it caused the entire downfall. I just wish that she admitted it. I just wish she was like, yeah, you know what? We hooked up one time, two times, whatever it was. Just admit it. And I've said this before, don't even like Brandy, but I believe something happened here. Yeah. And it's been really frustrating watching the reunion, you know, part two was last week with how there's just going to continue to be so many unanswered questions because Brandy isn't there. and Andy's saying, you know, we didn't think that Brandy would add any more to the conversation. And people are, they seem pissed about it.

You know, Renna seemed pissed about it. Erica seemed pissed about it. That they weren't going to really hash it all out in person or over Zoom, whatever you want to, however you want to call it. So I would just think that there's no way for her to continue on the show without coming to some. ending with that situation, you know? Because no, like, the real housewives, they're queens of bringing up old shit and just fighting about it. So Denise can't, like, I'm imagining Denise being like, yeah, I'll do a third season

if, if no one ever brings up the brandy stuff ever again, which is going to be hard because there was never really an ending. So every time there's going to be someone, you know Renna is going to be like, well, what happened with, you know, like, Renna still brings up stuff with, with, um, with, uh, why am I spacing? Kim Richards, with Kim Richards, like all the time when it's like, all right, Renner, like, that was four years ago, you know? So there's no way Denise would have been able to not have that be a conversation,

unless you just wanted to end it and have it and she didn't want to do that. Exactly. It's like she was running away from her problems. She's going to continue to do that. She also just doesn't look well in my opinion. Like, yeah, I don't, you know, I'm not going to make fun of her looks or anything like that. She's obviously a beautiful woman.

She's Denise Richards. But there's something in her eyes that are telling me she is not doing well. There is something going on. There are some drugs, maybe allegedly, may be happening behind the scenes. Because she always has to make an excuse as to why her eyes look a certain way. Right. Now she's allergic to powder makeup. Denise.

She's like, I'm allergic to all powder makeup. I just don't believe you. I just don't believe you because what are we supposed to believe at this point? Seems like she's a frequent liar. We saw it in the finale with, you know, she can't come. She has a family emergency. Did she have a family emergency? No. So what, what are you supposed to believe from Denise Richards at this point? So you know what? Go get off the show. Go live your life. You won't have to lie to anybody anymore if you just stay behind the scenes. Yeah. And I do wish she could just have this conversation and then they can move on from it and she could continue to be on the show because I did think she was

great on the show and obviously brought some drama this season without her. It's going to be interesting what kind of direction it goes in because so much of this past season surrounded her and her life. So for her to just be gone will be interesting to see because these ladies will have a hard time just letting it go, I think. I know you like don't stay. All right, quick update, nothing too crazy. Just want to mention it. Victoria F. and Chris Souls, they are dunzo, broken up.

Victoria went on Nick Files' podcast to discuss. And she's updating her life. She said, you know, Iowa, not for her. She's not looking to move to Iowa right now. Chris is a full-time farmer. So that one is not shocking at all. Like, not at all. Yeah, I did not, you know, think that Victoria F and Chris Souls were going to live on forever and they were going to run off to Iowa together.

Although there was one point where people saw Victoria F was moving and they were like, oh my God, is she moving in with Chris? Are they taking this next step? No. At this point, you know, she's still young. She just got off a hot show. Why not play the field? Why are you going to settle with Chris Soles at this point when there's plenty of other people out there to date? It was the beginning of quarantine.

You got to link up with somebody. I feel like that ended now. So she's like, let me get back out there. Yeah, exactly. Her dating pool is endless. Just the depths are huge. So she doesn't need to lock it down right now. She can date whoever she wants to date.

And it just makes sense that this would come to an end. kind of just a little quarantine fling. Right. Just a quick update about the situation because what are we going to go dive into Victoria off and Crystal's lives at this point? No. We don't really know anything about crystals. No. So they broke up and there's that.

We're getting into the fall. It's getting busier. There's a lot more this. You know, there's a lot more going on and don't forget to take that moment to yourself to chill, to relax. The light up tea and then like this surfboard actually is usually in my living room and I do not surf. I just thought it was cool. I was going to ask you if you surfed because it's a, it's a beautiful surfboard. Right? Isn't it gorgeous? I mean, one day I'm going to try, but I doubt I'll even get up to like my knees on it. Yeah. Yeah. You can always say of the board. Yeah, we're like beautiful surfboard. None of us surf.

Not any of us know what we're doing. But Tyra, you have some very exciting things coming up. You are the new host of Dancing with the Stars. Fran is a Dancing with the Stars fanatic. So she is super excited about this. I'm definitely watching this season. I'm really hyped up. We just want to know how you got involved and how you became the host.

Yeah, well, I got a phone call from the wonderful ABC Disney team earlier this year and they're like, are you interested in this? And I'll be honest, it kind of took me by surprise. I never thought I would be offered to host Dancing with the Stars. And they kind of were just getting my interest a little at first. So it wasn't like kind of a long process, probably. It wasn't like haul and then start negotiating. I don't know if it was like a month before we started talking further. I was thinking about it. I asked my mom. I was like, do you think I should do this? Do you think I could add anything? The show is so big. It's so huge. And my mom was like, you better do that show.

What are you doing? Wait in a month to talk about this? Like, she was like, do you remember when I called you and said, the stars are on TV? Turn TV on, girl. The stars are on TV. That was season one. So, um, finally said, okay, let's do this. Um, so it's been a secret, been holding for a long time.

So it's nice that it's finally out. Like Ria said, I'm so excited. I'm so glad that you are involved because I am a huge fan of the show and I have watched for a very long time since I was little. So, you know, every show when it's on for so many, so many seasons, sometimes it needs some fresh air, you know, kind of shot into it. And I'm really excited because I think that's going to be you. And it's going to be super, super fun to watch.

How have this kind of beginning period been? How are you guys prepping to go live? What kind of, can you even see the contestants? Have you met them? Like, I don't know what the protocols are. So many, right? Yeah, so many. Yeah, I understand.

So I have not been in the ballroom yet. We did promos, but that was a green screen that made me look like I was in the ballroom. However, I'm going to be starting rehearsals this weekend. We're going live Monday. I'm starting rehearsals this weekend. And we'll be in the real ballroom. We'll see all the dancers. the stars in person. I've only did a Zoom. I did a Zoom tea, you know, with the dance's, a group Zoom

T. And then with all of the stars, I call it them personally, each had conversations with them, but have not seen them in person. So I'm so excited, like, for rehearsals to, like, really see what's going on. I'm going to try to keep a blank face. Like, oh, you need to practice a little more. Oh, you're going to kill it. You know, I have to, like, make sure that that rehearsal is up to be. Um, so yeah, I, yeah, I, we, this is like some real live, raw, real stuff. It's not like we're rehearsing for me. It's not like I'm rehearsing over and over and over again for weeks. So, uh, you're going to see like just natural reality happening. And if I mess up, I'm going to talk about messing up. I'm not going to pretend like nobody saw that. I was saying, does tire banks get nervous? Like, are you nervous at all? Yeah. You know what? I don't get nervous for live TV and I do not get nervous for hosting. There is this little pump up thing that happens, though, like when you're standing behind the wall that's about to open. And I'm like, I do start getting like, ooh, don't fall. Ooh, don't fall.

Well, you know you got sciatica. So don't start moving too much because you know you're going to break you back. Oh, okay, let's go. I'm like this weird thing. But it's not nerves. However, when I'm acting, I'm so nervous. Like saying someone else's words and like, I don't know what it is with acting. I don't know what to do with my hands when I'm acting.

I'm like, do I put them here? Do I put them here? but with hosting it's just like myself and I'm like chilling yeah thankfully you could just be yourself and we're so excited because we truly live and die by reality TV like we need reality TV running through our veins at all times so the fact that this is coming back is amazing I want to ask you obviously you need to stay in the middle you said you got to keep like a blank face on make sure you're not showing any emotions but are there contestants stars that you are specifically rooting for Well, I'm excited to meet some people that I've been watching their shows recently, like,

Chris Yel Stouse. I'm obsessed with Selling Sunset. The first episode, I was kind of mad at the show. I was like, really? Like, all these, like, flawless looking women are, like, hired for this real estate agency. Like, what the hell? And then now I'm, like, obsessed. Yeah.

Like, it is such a good show. And so I'm really looking forward to seeing her. And, you know, I feel like every, every contestant has an unfair advantage with a strength that they have. All of them have something that the other doesn't have. And I think Chrisel Stoules has the smile, like the new Julia Roberts, like smile that just, she might like step, fall, trip and can't get up. But then she goes, ding. And I'm going to be like, I'm home for her.

Right. And she has that post-divorce glow up, I feel like. She does. She really, really does. So I'm really excited to me. meet her in person. I have to ask, is there any fear of being around Carol Baskin? Because we, Tiger King was so huge.

I think people are very excited to see what she does. But that's, like, people are asking that question. Fearful because, you know, she, she has that, she was on the show. You know, she's, she's with Tigers. all the time. She's like, she's like, people are afraid.

No, but she's saying, you know, she had a husband disappear. She had a husband disappear. She has the tigers. You know,

yeah. Did you, I'm guessing you didn't watch Tiger King. I was obsessed with Tiger King. Oh, you did, you did. Obsessed.

Obsessed. You know what's interesting with documentary because, you know, I have to stay very neutral when it comes to, it comes to this.

But like, honestly, documentary is not news. It's still the POV of somebody and how they want to tell that story. You know, so there's so many different ways that could have been told, and that's how they decided to tell it.

And so I don't know what the hell, you know, I don't know. But I know that documentary said, this is my POV and this is what I'm doing. So I think she feels really fortunate to be able to give her POV and to be on this show. I'm not scared of her child. Hell know, I'm not scared. I'm scared of them lions and tigers. And I will say that if they do have a lion or a tiger on that stage, you would, will see me like not even socially distant. I will be hosting from some skybox with barricades.

Oh, I, as would I, that would be, that is too, too scary for me. On top of an arm on the Lion King. I mean, on Lion King. Yeah. Easily confused. Also possible. But yes, you are right. Limbs were lost. So you never know. Exactly. On top of hosting, you're also an executive producer, which is incredible and very, very cool. Like, kind of what role have you taken on behind the scenes that we're not going to see for you hosting? Yeah, well, you know, I think it's important that when you come on as a new type of leader, you've got to listen first. So I did a lot of listening, a lot of sessions with the executive producer, Andrew Lanaris.

we would have sessions that lasted for hours. He would take me through market research. He'd take me through things we think he should keep, things that we need to change, the things that he wanted to. Relevancy is very important to him. So we would have these conversations and I would make suggestions,

but light suggestions. And then as the month or so has gone on, now some of those suggestions I've thrown out because I understand the show a lot more. Some I'm going to double down on and say, okay, these are the five that actually we made a list. We have like a shared Google doc me and Andrew going on and we have a meeting coming up now where I want to discuss these five things that I think are crucial to sprinkle

that new pixie dust on the show. But there are other things that I'm throwing out. I'm like, no, let's keep a lot of these things that are the heart and soul of the show that you love so much. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Right. Because you don't want to change too much of it, but you also want to bring something fresh to the show. And obviously, this is not your first time executive producing. and it's not your first time hosting a show. You did America's Got Talent, obviously America's Next Top Model. Did you always see yourself going down this path of being a host? Or was this kind of just like when America's Next Top Model started, you became a host,

and then from there you realized this is what you wanted to do. I actually was hosting even before America's Next Top Model. A lot of people don't know that, but there was this network that was all only about music back in the day called MTV. and I used to do like little guest appearance hosting for MTV. I hosted the Academy Awards Red Carpet special many years ago. So I used to do a lot of like my toe in hosting. I was like a special correspondent for Oprah when I was in my 20s. I used to do her show once a month.

She would let me choose any topic that I wanted. I remember sometimes I was too quiet and I remember her whispering to me like I got you here because I want you to talk. So I need you to lead. And I was like, you're Oprah. She's like, I need you to lead. You chose the topic you lead. So I think, you know, kind of in this realm for a long time.

But Dancing with the Stars is major. I mean, it is, it is a big, big deal. I have a lot on my shoulders. There were two hosts before. And ABC said they think I can handle it on my own. So I have to make them proud, let alone millions of Americans. That's very true. How has the, you know, fan reaction been for you?

Because obviously you just said, you know, there were two hosts and fans of this show can be very, very loyal when they see the same person hosting for so long. So how have you been kind of handling the reaction of this announcement? Yeah, I mean, come on, I produce TV. I understand personal branding. I understand how it goes. And that changes hard. Change is always hard. I'm not a fool.

I knew that walking into this, people would be like, what? I mean, that just comes with it. And it's like how tough and thick is my skin. Obviously, it's very thick. So I'm still standing here. And so it's my job to still get people to show that they love, but show them that change can be good. And so, like, I feel like a lot of people are going to be,

they don't tune in, but I feel like they're going to tune in like this. And I want this. Right. okay oh okay oh oh oh oh it's like that okay i think i'm kind of liking this okay i still miss what was but i'm enjoying what is so that's that's what i'm hoping from okay i see you next week i'll see you next week as time goes on they're going to be like i love tyra as the host who like why were these other people hosting the whole time oh no i don't like that i still want to give respect to errant a No, of course, of course.

I know you're jumping. Yeah, but we're really excited to watch you do. Sorry, my dog is barking. I want to kill him. But that's what the realness is about today. Like, I'm surprised my son is not running in here and jumping on my back. Yeah, because we're all filming from home. Yeah, exactly.

Okay, we can tune him out. But anyways, obviously, I have to bark back. Yeah. He's going to be like, oh, my God, Tyra Banks barked. Her bag just barked to me. Yep. But obviously, you have a long. resume of hosting, but we want to talk about your modeling career because you are a legendary

supermodel. That's where it all began. And last year, you were back on the cover of Sports Illustrated swimsuit with our girl Camille Kosick, who's a friend of ours. We absolutely love her. How was it like being back? Oh, it was so weird. My booty was like 30 pounds heavier. I was on the beach. I was like, damn, I realized why I retired. I had sand and all kind of places at the end of the day. It's like, who. Um, so that wasn't necessarily fun shooting because it was like hot and windy and then rainy and then you'd have to loop. We lost a whole day of shooting. We had to combine a lot of shots into one day because we lost a whole day to rain. And, um, but the message and what it stood for for me was everything. You know, me, I didn't realize

until I was on like a live interview, like with you guys, they were like, do you know that you're the oldest model in the covers sports illustrator had no idea i'm like sports illustrated could you have like let me know this why am i learning this live on tv yeah that's like hey maybe you know just give me a little heads up on that especially right that's for of course because it's also headline grabbing people that's going to be one of the questions everyone is going to ask exactly i'm like i wish you would have known it would have had a better answer i'm like because i'm like what huh i'm what I'm like, wait, Christy Brinkley? They're like, no, that was 30 years ago.

Christopher Brinkley. I was totally confused. But no, I still felt so proud at that last minute to realize, you know, that I was the oldest woman, that my booty was bigger, that, you know, like, if they compare the covers, it's two very different bodies. And so I felt so proud. And then I made this whole statement, I'm coming out of retirement. I'm coming out of retirement. I'm coming out of retirement. a child and I had time to do no damn modeling jobs. I got offered like a balma hair campaign. I got

offered all these magazine covers and I'm like, I'm in a meeting trying to open model land, which is my immersive attraction that's never able to open because of COVID. Not never, hasn't been able to open because of COVID-19. So came out of retirement but was always in a business meeting. Exactly. Now you're hosting dancing with the stars. So where do you find the time? And you know, obviously with coronavirus and you've had to be. at home, how has your home life been? I know you have a young son. Are you going through the homeschooling thing? It is no joke, you guys. I feel like a failure every day, every single day. Because my son would go to school from, what, 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. every day. And obviously,

they're teaching them amazing things. He's coming home and saying all this stuff. And I'm like, I get 45 minutes in a day, broken up and like, who, and he's like, oh, that's enough. You're my mama, not my teacher. And so you feel, I feel like I'm failing my son. Then I talk to all my friends and we damn near cry together. So we feel like we're failing our kids, you know, being a working mom and being on meetings and not being able to do these lessons. You've got to still support your family. That's, that's hard. It's, it is really, really hard. I have, I have subscriptions. now to what brain pop junior generation genius mystery dug scholastic ABC mouse con academy kids academy I'm trying and it's still tough even like you know having all the

subscriptions to all the teaching things online so you're really doing it all are you doing the teaching yourself you mentioned you get 45 minutes you break it up so you're doing it yourself. I'm doing it myself and it is hard. My God. I really can't even imagine so big props to you. You're really doing it all. Now, how's it going to go with hosting and dancing with the stars and then you got to balance the teaching? Yeah. Like adding a whole other level to it. Oh, it's definitely adding a level. It's definitely adding a level. And the only thing that makes me not go crazy is talking to other moms because I feel like my son's going to be, you know, not as advanced as the other kids in class. And my, all the other moms are like, boo, you got 45. I got 32 a day. You know, so I'm like,

okay, you know, and just and, and then you, and then there's the whole privilege thing. And I'm like, I don't want to do all these other things to like pay all this other money to try to get my son, you know, so I'm just like, let's, we're just all going to suffer together. Um, the one thing that I am very privileged though that I'm kind of unapologetic about is that my mom moved in with us during this COVID time it was just better for everybody it was twofold it was for me to watch her and make sure her being a senior citizen is not going out to you know doing a whole bunch of stuff and that's still a challenge because she wants to get out and she wants to do things and I'm like mom you've got to stay safe you moved in for your safety and then she's also helping to watch my son

and she's like, I ain't all teacher. I'm a babysitter. She goes, I can do some art, but I'm not teaching. So, you know, she's like laid out her boundaries. So it still helps so much, though. Like, I love my mama and I don't know what I would do if she was not living with us right now. That's, it's amazing. That sounds like you guys have a great little home sanctuary. Because, you know, and like you said, it's another special moment to appreciate all the working moms and appreciate all the teachers who and especially the teachers who are working moms and are trying to, you know, teach other kids and their own kids. It's crazy. It's really, it's so crazy. And even the stay at home moms, right? And like I've always had a respect for it because my mom stayed at home

with me for two years until I was two years old. So I always had that respect for stay at home moms. But then to be at home and to see that there is no break, they don't have that break. You know, there's always something that you're having to do with the house. You know, so it's, it's, it's really intense. I have even more respect for teachers, stay at home moms, working moms. Everybody's just doing it right now. Yep. Yeah.

Shout on to all the moms out there doing everything, especially Tyra right now. You're really good at all. I want to talk about America's Next Top Model, obviously, because it's one of the biggest shows. And we grew up, we watched that show. Yeah. one of the biggest competition shows. Looking back now, is there anything you would change about the show? Because obviously there's a lot of talk about it now.

And even though it's iconic and we love it, but it's being brought back into the conversation. So what are your thoughts on it looking back? So, you know, it's interesting because I started America's next top model as a very early voice about diversity and inclusion. We were way before what is a trend now that I hope, becomes the norm. We opened so many doors. And my, my partner's Korean American, I'm sorry, his wife is Korean. He is Chinese, his kids are half. So he's a Korean, I'm sorry, Chinese American.

There's a reason why I keep doing that because they have a fun name. They combine both of their names. You combine it. Yeah, private stuff. But I was like, that's their own family thing. I'm the godmom of the kids. I'm the god mom of their kids. I'm not going to say what it is because it's private, but they combine. So that's why I get it confused sometimes. no, he's Chinese American, the same as Ken Mock. And so it was our mission to be diverse and to push back when we were told that we couldn't be as diverse. So from people didn't even know what a plus size model was like 20 years ago.

They're like, what is that? And even now when we look at what a plus size model is today, our girls were skinny. And even back then, designers, my models back then would go and go-seys and the designer we didn't even have clothes that fit them. it was just being on the beginning of something and pushing through. At that same time, I was still a working model and still being told, oh, you're too fat, Tyra, you're too this, you're too that. You can't work if you can't do that in hearing my friends have all this negativity and seeing what was in the way of them working. But I was still this unique beauty crusader. I was also

this person trying to get these models work. And I think at times they battled because I wanted them to get work, but even more important to me as being a beauty crusader. And so what ends up happening is that it's a clash, right? I'm saying, oh, I want all these unique beauties, but you need to change that and you need to change that because I have these agents in the background saying,

yeah, you want us to sign these girls, but she needs to change this and she needs to change that, and that's how she's going to work. And I wrote a book with my mom, and in the book I talk about that. I talk about some of the things on top model that in hindsight, this is way before, any of this stuff trended recently. This is a couple years ago. I was like, in hindsight,

I should have still been that beauty crusader that is my heart and soul and why I started this show to the millions of people that are watching the show and then let the agents handle behind the scenes if that model wanted to fix teeth or whatever it is that they said that they needed to fix in order to work in this industry. And so that was like my big lesson. And I didn't need social media to tell me that. I realized that on my own and did a whole section of my book about that. There's another thing that we did. I think that was a big, like, whackness that I didn't see back in the day was we did a season in Hawaii. And Barack Obama had just won the presidency. Everybody was so proud about that. We learned the Hawaiians when we were there. A lot of them were

saying that talking about Hapa. And I was like, what is Hapa? They're like, oh, Barack Obama's Hapa means he's mixed, mixed race. And then we're like, oh, maybe we should do a Hapa episode to explain what that is. So we had the models play mixed race. We have them play half Madagascar, half, I don't remember what the races were in the mixes and the races. And because I'm a woman of color, I thought I was celebrating skin color to say, this is beautiful. The industry and everything is telling you that a blue, Leaching cream is what you should do. Lighter is best. All this type of stuff. You know, and me even

knowing that me being a lighter skin black person has allowed me to do a lot of the things and burst open the doors because of my skin color and because of my green eyes and all that. I was like, you know, I'm going to show the world that color is beautiful and we're going to paint these models. When that episode aired, I don't know, was it 10 years ago, there was a backlash saying, what are you guys doing, painting these girls black, painting them, brown, painting them? And I was like, oh my gosh back then I was like I think my skin is beautiful I think all this is beautiful and coming from a black person it's obviously not racist because I am saying that this is beautiful and paying homage however the mistake was that if somebody that has malintent sees me doing that

they'll think that their malintent way of darkening skin is okay and so I was like like, oh my God, it was like an awakening for me. And I had a talk show like, like y'all have y'all show like this. Back in the day, I had a talk show and I did a whole segment on it and said, whoa, as much as I was trying to be woke and say, my skin is beautiful and I'm going to paint people like my skin and dark skin and all this and show all these different races, it gives an excuse for people that have malintent. And so we apologize for that. Now, everybody didn't see the damn tower show. So 10 years later, you know, during COVID-19, people are quarantined and they're watching Top Model and they're seeing all these mistakes and things that we made. And so I think it is my job to not be mad at a younger generation that didn't see it.

It is my job to apologize again because they didn't see it, right? They didn't see me do that. And so I have to continue to apologize. Ten years from now, there's a whole other generation. And there'll be some other reason. They'll be snowed in one day and watching Top Model. What the hell did she do this 50-something year old woman? do not do apologize again because they didn't see this and what I'm doing now and what I've done

you know over the years. So that's just the state of the world now that you know that people see content over and over again and they don't know that you've apologized. And I don't fault them for that. It's not their fault. But it's my job to say, yes, I've apologized for it. And we're going to apologize again and keep apologizing because it was wrong. Yeah. Right. And you know, it's a great thing that you are able to say, listen, I didn't even, I didn't have bad intentions because a lot of the times when people offend somebody, they don't have that, you know, evil intention in their brain. It just happens. And you make a mistake. And I think something that we need to do is normalize growing from a mistake. I feel like in this day and age, everyone's like, cancel that person,

cancel that person. And it's like, well, if we cancel everybody, nobody's going to exist anymore. We all make mistakes. We all make mistakes. And I think it's, I think what's, with the mistake, I think it's important to understand the intention. I think intention is everything. And so when you create a dialogue and like I love open dialogue for that person to say, well, why did you do that? And so if I explain and say, I think this is beautiful and that's why it was doing it, celebrating it, not understanding that it opens the door for negativity. Now, if you think my intention was to make it negative and make it bad,

to harken back to Blackface back in the day, that was not my intention. My intention was probably the exact same intention that you have. I just went about it in a way that was a little ignorant. And ignorant means lack of knowledge, right? And so I think, yeah, the dialogue is super important. I remember I was starting to watch Top Model with my mom this cycle and I was turned off myself, season one. And I couldn't even remember that we did this because I've, evolved even inside of top model over the years, right? So season one, we had a weights and measures section of the show where the girls were, height were measured, and weight was measured. It is normal in the modeling industry. That's what is done. So we were trying to be as realistic in the

modeling industry, not trying to embarrass anybody. It's just what is done. So we're pulling back the curtain. Back in the day, nobody complained about it. But as we all evolve, 20 years later, people like, what the hell? Including me, including the creator of the show. I looked at it and I was like, it just made me sick. And so, you know, dialogue is really, really important to understand, I'm disgusted by it too, you know? So we evolved together, I think.

And it's crazy. One of the crazy things I find really ironic is that top model for this generation was the catalyst for a lot of, of the beauty diversity that we see today. We were on the forefront of all of that stuff of what we're seeing today happen. But at the same time, the godmother, not me, but the show was not perfect.

And we messed up. I can count probably five times. I was like, what the hell was that? What the hell? Yeah. Yeah, you guys, obviously, you know, you look back, there's so many things to grow and learn from, which is great.

And that is why the show, A show like that is awesome because you can go back, you can see things we can involve, but we can also enjoy the great moments. We have to wrap up. So the last thing I want to talk to you about is it is, you know, model oriented. But to this day, everyone still talks about the smize. It's maybe one of the biggest things that we have, like, you know, and even like, Ria and I sometimes if we're taking pictures or, you know, we have walked one carpet in our lives.

And we're like, okay, channel, channel Tyra, can you smize? What are your like top, top smize tips? Well, I think smizing is more important than ever. And I didn't realize it. I was looking at social media and seeing doctors and nurses doing videos about smizing and how it's so important because they have a mask on and they want to convey kindness or sympathy or empathy with people. And like, so many people are hitting me up about this now.

And I'm like, oh, my God, I never in a million years thought them were dancing this. Yeah, the mask. My thing is more important than ever right now. It's like crazy. I even see people, I'll be like at the gas station or the grocery store and I'm like, gosh, they're mean.

And I just smiled at them. And I realized they probably smiled back, but with their teeth. And so their eyes are mean. And so right, energy here is so important. And so I say to think of something, to practice,

think of something that gives you pleasure and joy and something that you actually proud of. Often it can be a child or for your sake, you're a little doggy. Say you've been trying to get your dog to sit for two months and finally your dog sits, but your dog is far away and you're just proud. Right. And so there's this proud and this sweet thing inside your eye that happens. That's the smize. And that means today, not just a gorgeous, fierce gaze for a photo, it means thank you. It means, no, you go first. Or it means like, I'm going to be with you and hold your hand through this and I know it's hard and I know you're sick, but I'm going to be

here for you. And so it means so much more and it is so important to figure out how to work those muscles and think about that thing that you love, slightly out of reach, that you're proud of. And you'll get it. Wow. Amazing. I got chills. I got full of those. Just. Just The best way to end this interview, Tyra, thank you so much for talking to us.
