Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.
You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music.
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Thursday.
As usual, we have a fantastic episode for you guys today.
Some super exciting stuff.
Somebody who we didn't think would be coming on the show, but came on last minute.
Johnny Bananas, the winner.
of last night's challenge episode.
Hope everybody watched.
Hope everybody watched.
And you know what?
It's a live fucking show.
So I don't feel bad for spoiling a show
that is meant to be watched live.
Do you, Fran?
No, I definitely don't.
I mean, the challenge is hard
because I do always watch the day after.
But when you get to the finale,
you have to watch live.
It's like, it's like the bachelor finale.
You can't expect to go till the next morning
and not find out what happened.
Absolutely. Maybe we'll add a spoiler alert before all of this just so that people don't get mad at us.
Noah, put this in the beginning. Spoiler alert of the challenge finale last night.
And of course, this episode and podcast is brought to you by Francia, our favorite wine to drink this summer.
We're drinking it in our homes. We're drinking it on the beach. We love the fact that there's six and a half bottles of wine in just one box.
So you don't have to keep making trips to the store to buy more bottles, more bottles,
take up more space. Nope, it's just all in one box and it's perfect to carry with you to a party,
a social distance, safe one, may I add. Or like I said, at the beach or in your own home,
it has a little nozzle like a water cooler. The wine just shoots out, makes it a fun experience.
They also have all different types of wine. My favorite is Pinocrigio, like I said,
just, you know, a nice summery white wine or winter, whatever, whatever it may be.
Fran, what are you liking from Francia?
You're right. And like you said, it is the summer. So for me, that means rosé. They have great rosé. The sunset blush is also fantastic. And on top of that, I mentioned last time the little, little kind of juice box looking guys are perfect to take on the go. If you're going to the beach, you can fit right in your cooler. They had one of those of rosé, which I brought to the beach last weekend, which was perfection. So great. And we're just really excited to work with Franzia. And
have this partnership and continue to just be outside, enjoying a nice glass of wine, thanks to Francia.
There you go. And just for this podcast, Chicks in the Office, we have a few exciting things coming up,
including new merch that hopefully will be able to announce soon. I want to, hint at it, because I want
people to get excited. It's a tie-dye sweatser and shorts. Absolutely perfect for the summer and fall. You
guys have been asking for it. I know it's taking a little bit, but it takes more time for the tie-dye to get
into production. So there it is. It's going to be fire though when it comes out. You guys are going to
absolutely love it. It is really. Just from the designs alone, we absolutely loved it. It's something that
we haven't done before and I think is really, really cool. And we're already working on stuff for the fall too.
so very excited.
The little designers in us.
Ooh, they're coming out strong.
Hopefully more things in the pipeline as well.
But like I said in the beginning, this podcast, you know, per usual, awesome one.
But I was really excited.
For usual, doing some great stuff.
For usual, we're doing our job, doing some great things.
But I was really excited because Demi Burnett from the Bachelor franchise, you guys all know her,
has finally joined the podcast.
We tried to get her on for quite some time.
She finally made it.
and we have Johnny Bananas, who is always a great fucking time on this show.
And that's it, as well as, as, as well as other topics like we usually do.
Yep.
But just wanted to get people excited about those interviews.
And we have some really exciting interviews coming up on Monday as well,
Camille Kostick, a little cameo from Grunk and some more,
but I don't want to spoil the whole episode.
Fran, how are you feeling on this lovely Wednesday afternoon?
Great.
I'm feeling good, Ria.
This is, it's been a nice week.
Getting back into the swing of things.
Like I said, I haven't been in, was in Martha's Vineyard.
So now, kind of getting back into the routine feels good.
How's my sweet, sweet nephew doing?
Oh, Norman's right next to me.
He says, hi, Auntie Fran.
I love you and I miss you.
Thank you for my pillow.
I love it.
That was so fucking cheesy.
That's your great dog voice.
That's a good puppy voice.
And you said you would never turn into that.
person and here we are. I am literally tearing up and crying that I just did that. I want,
I want to die. I want to die. When did I become that person? Holy shit. Oh my God. You know what?
I think it's really impossible to not have it happen once you actually get the dog. Like you make
fun of the people who do it, but you don't have, like, you don't have the dog next to you to like
have that connection. And then when you get the dog, you're like, oh, shit, I totally get it.
I know. It's really becoming clear to me. I just love him so much. I don't want to talk about him too much because honestly, I saw there have, we've talked about this in the beginning of quarantine. People are mean online. Girls have been meaner to me online lately than usual. I don't really fucking love it, but it is what it is. I understand they got nothing better to do. But I got some hate about Norman. And you know what? I don't want to subject him to that life. And people are like, oh, you got to do.
dog so you could talk about yourself. Like, when I'm talking about the dog, how am I talking about
myself? I'm talking about Norman. Like, yeah, it's about him. And also,
we do a fucking show. Am I not ever supposed to mention myself? It's very strange, but it is what
it is. I also see all the love and support as well for Norman, and that's what matters most. And
I know that I don't respond to everybody. I do respond sometimes in my DMs. I don't respond to
everyone or on chicks in the office, Fran, I'm sure you do the same thing. It's hard to get to
everyone. But we do see it all and we love every single one of you so much. And we really appreciate
the love and support that you guys have been giving us during this time and quarantine and this
summer. I've been seeing some really, really nice messages from everybody. Definitely. I'm with you
on that. Agreed. And it's hard because, you know, I don't know what people want. Your job is to talk
about yourself. So that's, that's really it. That's like really the only ex, like, sorry,
my job is to talk. And when I talk, that's what happens. Why do you follow me then? Like,
if you don't like me and you don't want to hear about me, then why are you following me? Right.
But like I said, you know, I try, we talk about this with each other all the time. We're like,
fuck the haters. We're not going to pay attention to them. And then all of a sudden, we start
talking about them. So I don't want to go down that route because we love the chicks in the office
listeners who love us and we do appreciate them way more than we appreciate the haters and we see it
way more.
For sure.
So we love you guys and that's why we're going to keep doing great shows.
Yeah, you know what I think about now?
Tish Cyrus, that gift from God who talked to us and was like, it was like, you know,
if you listen to last week's interview or whatever Monday's interview, you know that she said,
like, you're going to have people that love you and people that hate you.
and that's that makes you interesting.
You know what?
Fuck yeah.
Thank you for reminding me of that.
If you hate me, I still love you.
Rock on.
Fuck yeah.
Sorry, if you're listening to the morning,
we're getting you hyped the fuck up this morning,
this great Thursday in the summer.
You know, guys, it's mid-July,
and it's not your usual summer.
I'm sure everyone's feeling, you know, kind of confused,
maybe a little bit lost on what to do.
Like, you know, it's not,
totally cool to be going out and about. In some places it is, in some places it isn't.
So let's just make the most of it. Let's make the most of it. Not make the boast of it.
And wear a mask. And wear a mask. So you're safe. And you go outside. You save lives. And they'll save
yours. So please wear a mask outdoors. And in doors. Beautiful. Wonderful. All right. Let's get
What a nice little jingle. Yeah, it was. I feel like people will.
be motivated by that. So I think it's time to get into today's topics and show Francesca. We have
Claire Crawley's new men for her season of The Bachelorette. They have been revealed. We have an update
about Peter and Kelly's relationship. It is a big step they're taking. And this is a hot topic for Fran.
There is a new host of Dancing with the Stars. So let's get into it. Oh wait, just kidding. We also have
Yep.
Cut that out.
Are the interviews?
Noah cut that out.
We got the interviews.
Noah cut that out.
He's not going to cut it out.
Cut it out.
We also have Demi Burnett.
Quit it.
All right.
That was a full house reference.
You guys got that.
Okay.
Moving on.
Interviews.
We also have Demi Burnett
from the Bachelor of Franchise joining us.
Demi Not Levato, aka.
And we also have Johnny Bananas.
Spoiler alert.
If you didn't watch the challenge last night,
he may have done something.
been real big. So let's get into it starting off with Claire's new men for her season of the
Bachelorette. We have an update about Claire Crawley's season of the Bachelorette. New men have
been added to the roster and it seems like they're headed down the right path. Everyone seems to be
a bit older and this gives us a chance to see an actual love story with Claire Crawley.
I'm excited. I think we all kind of jump the gun when they announced Matt James.
and was like, oh, God, I don't even want to watch Clear Season
because we just want to watch Max.
But we do know that they are starting to film.
They're doing it at some beautiful resort.
I think in Palm Springs in California,
I'm sure it's going to be very, very nice.
They're taking all the necessary precautions
so that they can get the show out.
I know reality Steve already has some inside scoops.
If you care about those things, you could go check them out.
Ria and I have said many, many times
that we really try and stay away from spoilers when it comes to The Bachelor
because it's just way harder to talk about the show when you know everything that happens.
So we're trying to avoid that.
I know that there is already some stuff.
But they announced 42 men.
And they also announced 42 men.
And they wrote it in a way that it was like,
these are the guys you may be seeing on Claire's season.
So some of them may still be cut.
I feel like they still go in this direction.
to see like the public reaction to some people and then and then see what happens because
402 guys is a lot there's they that seems like um a crazy amount but they announced them all on
facebook and ria let me tell you one the bachelor i think is the bachelor they're the only people
that still like make huge announcements on facebook and i have to like actually click through
facebook photos which reminded me that the moms on facebook are just fucking ruthless like you see people
from The Bachelor talk about that all the time being like, no, you don't understand. It's the moms and my
DMs that are like the craziest. And seeing the comments on these pictures of these guys are just like
hilarious. Some are so nice. Some are so mean. And then some are like, oh, I went to college with that guy.
Great pick. That is hilarious. And it's also just you have to remember that these are women that don't
think anybody's ever going to see their comments. They're just, it's like, they think they're chatting
with their friends at their house. So they're making these comments about these men that they think
the men won't see it. They think other people in the bachelor won't see it. But you, you're reading it.
And you're seeing what they're writing. I saw them all. I was cracking up. There's definitely
seems like there's already some fan favorites from, from the women on Facebook. I made my little,
my little sheet here to do some, to do some math and add things up.
because 42 guys, I was curious as to, you know, how many are at what ages and whatnot.
And I will say that they did make some good changes.
I remember when we first saw the pictures of the guys,
their majority was like still in their 20s,
which was obviously we knew was not going to work.
I also like that, I guess because everything's been at home,
all these guys, their pictures are like homemade headshots.
It's not like the typical Bachelor headshot where you're like,
I don't really know if this is like,
they're always not the best pictures,
but I feel like these guys got to pick their own pictures,
which probably helps and benefits them, I would think.
Absolutely, because I feel like any time we see the headshots
for the contestants for the Bachelorette or The Bachelor,
and then we watch the show, we're like, wow,
they look so different than their picture.
The pictures don't do anybody justice, in my opinion,
than watching them actually interact on video on the show.
So I agree with you on that.
I also just seeing the ages of all the men really made me have hope for this season
rather than Claire having to deal with a bunch of young guys
who are just trying to get on the show for some fame.
We're seeing older gentlemen in their 30s that really do have a chance with Claire
and they could really probably find something together.
It feels like it's going to be a different season that I'm really excited about
because we haven't seen a season like this in a while.
where it was two people that were, they're not old, but they're older, more mature,
and can actually maybe form a relationship.
I also want to add the guy Tyler C has to go.
Like he needs to be kicked off the show.
There's no way.
He needs to be kicked off the show. I'm not watching a season of The Bachelor of Bachelorette
with a different Tyler C.
There is only one Tyler C and he goes by the name of Tyler Cameron.
That's it.
For sure.
There's also like too many double names of people.
So I feel like right away, some of those double name people might be out at the beginning.
Like there's two Blake M's, not even like a Blake M and a Blake, like they're both Blake M, which feels like that's going to be a problem.
One of them's probably going to have to go.
Can't have two Blake M's.
Absolutely not.
That's why you have a Blake P and then a Blake M's.
Like they're on their face two Blake MMS.
On their Facebook photos, it was their full name, like their full, like their full, like they're full.
last name. I'm like, we can't be calling people by their full names. That's just not how the show
works. There's two Jordans. There's two Zaks. There's two Tyler's. So I feel like,
unfortunately, some of them might not make the cut. There are 25 of the 42 are in their 30s.
One is 40. And no one is younger than 25. There's only one 25-year-old. There are 16 guys between
25 and 29 and only three are 26 and two are 27 so the majority of that 16 are like 28 29 so they're on the you know
older older end of 20 so I feel like they did a good job of assembling some age appropriate guys
I do have some stars next to some names that I feel like maybe we'll see just this and this is solely
from from a photo judgment we don't we don't have any bios or or any
anything. I also have hot written to two guys because, you know, they're, they're pretty hot.
Extra hot. They were extra hot. Noah is 25. So like right off the bat, I'm like, okay, this guy
probably isn't going anywhere, but maybe he'll end up on Paradise or something of that sort,
because he's super cute. Spencer, I also thought was really, really cute. And then I'll share.
these are the these are the these are the i guess one two three four five six seven eight nine guys
that i put stars next to that i was like i feel like there could be a good connection with claire
chasen and all of them are all of them are in their 30s except for one chason
colins dale garen jeremy jeremy is 40 and i also think there's a lot of dads um we we heard that
rumor that there was a lot of dad, so we'll see how that plays out too. Joe, Mike, I hope I don't say
this guy's name wrong. Usoma, he was very cute. And Zach Jay. Ashley, actually, I tweeted that
right away, like she's has Zach Jay as her pick, and she does know Claire fairly well, so I feel like
she has a good, maybe a good inkling of what direction she would go in. And I approve, I had Zach
Jay highlighted as well. He seems like a winner. I can't really make an official pick on who I think
stands out. We need the bios. Until I read the bios. Exactly. I'm big on the personality. The picks,
I'm just like, yeah, they all look cute. They're all very handsome men. Right. Like none of them,
I'm not going to be like any of them are ugly. So I think that we need the bios. I need to read a
little bit about those people. That's where you know we do our best work on judging them. And
I'm actually just really excited to know that they're going to be filming soon.
Obviously, all these guys are going to be tested, or if they haven't been tested already,
they might be filming already at this point.
I think they started.
I think they are.
Or they're starting August.
Yeah, it seems like it's going to be done safely.
And I'm just excited to get a live show back on air.
So we do live tweet.
We need The Bachelor in our lives.
I cannot believe that we have missed out on a full season of The Bachelorette,
then Bachelor and Breastle and then Bachelor and,
paradise. It just, it doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel right at all. But things, things are coming
together and I'm excited to see where this season goes. Definitely. I feel like, and you know,
this is a good way to, we can segue into, into this Peter and Kelly's situation, because for some
reason, I watched the entire interview that they did this morning with entertainment tonight with
Lauren Zima, Zima, I always say it wrong. She, they had,
said that, you know, Peter had said that he was very excited to see a love story play out because,
and I was like, you know what, respect. He understands that that hasn't happened in a few seasons.
And they feel like kind of the same way everybody else does that it seems like they got a good
group of guys that'll be good. And I think everybody's just excited for the show to come back.
Like, even Peter was like, look, I love these shows. Like, I'm just kind of excited to watch again.
Right. And also knowing that none of the.
these guys are going to be going on the show in the mind and the mindset and idea of,
oh, maybe I'll become the bachelor. Yeah.
Yep.
Like, they're going on because at this point, what do they have to lose?
They're going on because maybe they'll end up with Claire.
Exactly.
Are they really going to go on to get on Bachelor in Paradise or whatever it is?
I feel like it goes, maybe.
Bachelor and Paradise.
I mean, maybe, you're right.
It could be a possibility.
Like, I look at 25-year-old Noah.
No, not that's one. Not our 25. Not this, Noah. But I feel like he's an outlier because the other ones are a bit older. And it seems like most of the newer bachelor contestants are in their young early 20s. So I don't even know if they would really match up in Paradise anyway. Maybe they would. I mean, it's not that big of an age difference. But like I said, it just seems like now people will be more focused on Claire. Hopefully. I'm sure. I'm sure.
some shady shit's going to happen with somebody where she calls them out 100%.
There's always one.
But for the most part.
Absolutely.
And who knows, and who knows if, you know, which guys are actually going to make the cut?
I feel like 42, they gave us 42 guys, which is a lot.
So I feel like at least, I don't know, 10 or so, maybe less might actually make the cut.
Like, normally I think they start with 30-ish.
So 42 is a lot.
There's definitely going to be some guys cut before they even start filming.
I hope it's not the ones that I highlighted.
That would suck.
Well, it would be great for you if it was none of the ones they highlighted
because it would show how good you are at scouting out the good contestants on the show.
For sure.
Like you said, this is a great transition into Peter and Kelly,
speaking of love stories,
because we all know that Peter did not, you know,
end up with Hannah Ann or Madison, but he ended up with Kelly, who had met prior to the show.
And now they are taking a big step in their relationship.
They are moving in together.
Yeah, like I said, I watched their whole interview.
And, you know, we've been critical, we've joked, we laughed.
But you know what?
At the end of the day, I love love.
We love love.
This podcast stands love.
We support love, whatever it is.
Whatever kind of love it is, we're here.
to support and you know what those two kids are in love like they they talked about it they are
in love they're moving in together peter talked about giving her some like a gumball ring type thing on the
on the day that he told her that he loved her like it's it's they're they're cheesy and
cute and they're very much obsessed with each other right now the interview was super sweet
and they're moving in together.
They're moving to New York.
It's a different step because obviously we see everybody who does this show.
A lot of them migrate to L.A.
I feel like Tyler and Andy are kind of the only ones that I've really done.
Oh, that's not true.
I'm spacing on her name, but I just watched Ben Higgins season.
So this is so bad.
I mean, not watch the goat episode.
Kayla, maybe. I'm messing that up. But of people who have gone to New York, there hasn't been a lot.
And now Peter, I'm Peter and Kelly are making their way to the big city.
You know what? Good for them. I don't know if they fully know what they've signed up for,
considering neither of them have lived here. I don't know how many friends they have here. Maybe they do.
So good luck to them. Like you said, we're rooting for them at this point. It seems like they're happy together.
it does kind of feel like why did that season happen but in the end maybe it had to happen so that they
end up together somehow who fucking knows it is what it is they they are very much in love though
I will say I don't think that they are they wouldn't be together right now if they don't like each other
so I think that they are in love and Peter has finally found the one for him for sure and you know what
and the way Kelly had explained it and so to Peter it does make sense to just they're like look
I know everybody jokes that this season didn't even need to happen if we had just dated after meeting and whatnot.
But Peter, they both kind of seemed like they learned so much throughout the show.
And it seems like Peter kind of alluded to like the show really teaching him what he wants in life and what he wants in a partner, which obviously checks out since, you know, he tested a few different ones.
And so it makes sense.
Like that's great.
He had to go through all that to realize that Kelly is obviously the one.
And he also clarified he was like, look, I know people think like me and Madison got back together.
Me and Madison never got back together.
Like we discussed it and thought about it, but we never actually got back together.
It was a pretty short span where they had those discussions and then said they weren't going to pursue their relationship.
Because Barb was like no fucking way.
There was no way they could end up together.
Because
Barr's mom wasn't allowing it.
Of course.
I mean, yes.
Which is fucked up in the first place.
But, you know, if that's the way it is, then that's the way it's going to be.
For sure.
And, you know, to play devil's advocate,
Barb was right.
Like, Barb, Peter told the story.
Barb was right because he didn't.
About Kelly.
But Barb didn't give Madison a chance, so it had, you know, she liked Kelly.
If she liked Madison, then maybe Peter and Madison would be together.
She didn't give Madison a chance for Peter to like Madison.
Maybe she knew that Kelly was just a better fit.
Maybe.
I mean, Kelly is good for Peter.
Yeah, yeah.
And they do really love each other.
But you can't say that Barb knew it was Kelly without acknowledging that Barb didn't allow it to be.
Right. Madison. There was somebody in between Hannah Ann and Kelly. Yes. Peter had said that
when he split his forehead open, he was able to call his mom because he didn't want his mom
like freaking out that he really hurt himself. Because remember the first reports were like that he
was like really like really fucked up his face. And so he was able to call her and she said
like she snuck something like, it was something along the lines of like I really like the girl
from Chicago, which was obviously Kelly.
So she was Team Kelly from the start.
And that's exactly what you were saying.
Like, I think her mind was locked in on Kelly that anybody else wasn't going to be the fit.
Even though she did, she did like Hannah Ann, but at the end of the day, she's fucking
happy that it's Kelly now.
Yeah, it is what it is.
And they seem happy together, like we said.
So good for them.
Yeah.
And the last thing I'll say about it is,
Kelly did say that Victoria F and Crissols are like madly in love.
Well, okay then.
Congratulations.
Like we said, we love love here, so congratulations.
I am not going to say anything else about that relationship because who fucking knows what goes on.
Yep.
Congrats to them.
Have you guys ever really taken the time to think about your underwear?
Like it's kind of just something that you put on, you have it.
Maybe you have something for special occasions.
But other than that, what you're putting on every day, you just do it and you don't really think about it.
But you really should.
That's why me undies has changed the game with softer than soft, sustainable undies in fun prints and lots of colors.
So you can be totally comfortable being you inside and out.
The underwear you're wearing right now might not be that comfortable.
You might not even notice.
But once you make that change, it is amazing.
I just got my new Miandi stuff in the mail, and it is life-changing.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to wear other kinds of underwear because it's so soft.
They also do socks.
They do pajama loungewear stuff.
I got a pair of pajama pants that are so soft.
You never want to take them off.
And their thongs are amazing, too.
They have all different cuts of underwear.
Their thongs are fantastic.
They're breathable.
They're super comfortable.
Sometimes, you know, with lacy ones, it gets itchy.
These ones are fantastic.
So great.
They also have briefs and stuff, which are amazing if you like to sleep in clothes like that,
which I personally do.
It's very comfortable.
And you know what always sucks when you get to that empty underwear drawer because you know
that it's all in the dirty laundry.
Well, good thing you can just get a Me Undy's membership and eradicate that
terribleness forever. A me undies membership is a monthly subscription that sends new pairs right to your
door so you can keep your undies drawer stocked, fresh, and fun. Plus, with member access to sitewide

where you and your partner can order the same exact thing if you want to match, which is super cute. And
They're available in a range of sizes from extra small to 4XL.

Huge, huge dance with the stars news.
Tom Bergeron and Aaron Andrews, they're out.
They're no longer going to be the host.
It kind of seems like ABC did not pick up their option.
I guess Tom and Aaron were kind of a package deal.
And so they're out, and Tyra Banks is in.
Thoughts?
I don't know.
I'm torn because I, it's,
It's a...
I fuck with Tyra Banks, but I don't watch the show, so I can't say, you know, whether or not
it's going to be a good choice for dancing with the stars.
Personally, I loved America's Next Top Model.
I do understand, though, now people are looking back and they're like, there was some
problematic shit on America's Next Top Model.
You know, Tyra was pretty fucking mean to some people.
Yes.
But at the time, it was highly entertaining.
And I think that now she understands where she needs to come from as a host.
as a judge. And I think she'll make those corrections while also being Tyra Banks.
For sure. And I think she kind of did it. Like she hosted America's Got Talent, which is a massive
show. I didn't necessarily love her as the host of America's Got Talent. I do like, it's really
hard not to, you know, it's Tyra Fraring Banks. But there's a, there's a connection.
Sorry. No, it's not Tyra Frient Bank's. I was telling me. I was telling me.
not to bite the wires.
It's just like a weird, obviously, connection.
There's a nostalgia thing, which is funny because obviously I've had a loud voice saying
that they needed to change shit with the show, new format, new nothing.
Did I think that they needed a new host?
No, but if that's what they think they need to do, okay, I hope they change other things as well.
They did say it was because they're going in a new creative direction.
So maybe there are some other new changes.
Tyra is in.
Tom and Aaron are out.
And like I said, it's just, you're so used to watching the show and seeing Tom,
who's been doing it forever and, you know, Erin doing it the last few years.
And Ria, you know I'm an absolute like Aaron Andrews' dance.
So I'm like sad to see her go because I freaking love Erin.
I think she's awesome.
She's just, you know, she's just my ideal dream woman.
And I'm going to be sad because obviously I love watching her do football stuff,
but I love that she did football and dancing with the stars as a combo.
So I'm sad to see that they're going.
Tyra will definitely bring a different kind of energy to it, I'm sure.
I wonder if she'll have anybody else hosting with her.
But it'll be interesting to see, too, just like if they,
what direction they go on with the cast, obviously we know Caitlin Bristow's on it already.
Woo!
Go.
Yeah, exactly.
And like, I'm also thinking that if you're, no, no disrespect to Tom and Aaron, but like, if you're going to be a star on this show, like, hell yeah, Tower Banks is going to be the host.
And Caitlin tweeted, like, holy shit, Tower Banks is going to be the new host. This is awesome.
Right. That's great for them. But also, I just, you know, they've been on the show for so long.
It's been a long time, yeah.
That I'm just going to miss Tom's bad jokes. Like, Tom is the king of bad dad jokes. And it just,
But that's the thing.
It definitely gave the show a little bit of an older feel.
Norman's trying to eat your necklace.
It did give the show a little bit of an older feel
because you're like, oh, there goes Tom again,
making some dad jokes.
But so it'll be different, but I think it'll be good.
I'll wait and see it and reserve my judgment.
We are here with a very, very special guest,
one of our favorite people on this entire earth and in the reality TV world.
Johnny,
Bonanas.
Oh, shut up.
Could have fooled me, ladies.
Oh, bananas.
I very rarely, if a tweet, if I'm not, if I'm not like mentioned in it and if they're,
and if there, I'm no part of it, I very rarely feel like the urge or the necessity to
respond to it.
But I got to say, Ria, I was about this close.
to reply into what you said last night,
your top 10 shows that you've binged over this pandemic
and the challenge is not one of them.
Johnny, you are not understanding.
I told you five times.
They were not my top 10 shows.
I didn't rank them.
They were just a list of shows that I watched them in.
I watched the challenge,
but I did not binge it in like all day.
You know what this is?
You know,
this is Ria digging herself into a deeper hole?
No, no, no.
You know what that is?
It's me digging myself.
out of the hole because guess what?
When I got surgery two or three years ago, you know what I did?
I binge watch every season of the challenge.
You are looking at somebody who has been hyping up this show for years now.
And for you to sit there and act like you don't understand that I did not rank the shows
because if you did know me, you would know I would not put Siesta Key first.
I would put Outer Banks first.
So then you know that's not a true.
rank it. How Siesta Key even made the list, okay? I would rather, I would fucking love
Ciasa Key. I would rather cut my my eyelids off and stare at the sun than have to,
then have to watch that show, okay? Oh my God. Wow. I would rather set a dumpster
on fire and watch it burn. So you just hate Ciesca Key. So you're just, you're just pissed that I,
I binge to watch Ciesti key. No, I'm pissed at, listen, Ria, you work for a company called
Barstool Sports, okay? Sports being the operative
word in there. Now, for the first time ever, for the first time ever, American sports, as we know it,
have been non-existent and the challenges had to step up and, you know, fulfill that role
and this appetite that everybody has for their sports. And if there was ever a more important
time, it was now. We've been watching. It's just not binge watching when you watch it every week.
It's week to week. It's a different type of show.
Potato Potato.
We didn't miss one episode all season.
We watched every single one.
And also I will say that.
I'm just giving you guys a like that.
I know.
And also, I mean, we've talked about this before.
But I had not watched until Ria told me to watch.
So it's really.
So you're the one I should be mad at then.
Now I don't miss an episode.
Yeah, sure.
If you want, I've only watched the last like three or four seasons.
And here we were.
guys, I thought we were making so much progress.
We filmed the first look episode together about besties.
We like got out of an escape room.
No thanks to either one of you.
And I really thought we were, we had something there.
And then, um, that was crushed.
No, we do.
That's why you're on this show.
We do.
We both cried when you won.
Yes.
What you're saying is we're more than friends less than lovers.
Yes.
Okay.
Okay.
And Fran is correct.
We both did cry when you won.
I actually took a picture of myself just.
in case you didn't believe me because you don't believe anything I say.
And I literally was crying and then you started crying.
I cried more.
It was the whole thing.
But I am so happy for you.
So is my entire family actually.
They're like the biggest banana stands.
They've been,
so my sister recently got married,
but I don't know if you remember when we first met.
I was like,
my sister loves you.
You made a video for her.
The amount of times they asked if you could come to the wedding.
And I was like,
he does not live here.
Like he can't.
He can't come to the wedding.
We are having another one in November.
So open invite.
I'll jump out of the cake.
Yes.
That's what we need.
Even if you just, Johnny, you don't even have to come.
You could just film yourself at home jumping out of a cake and send it to me.
And that works.
Done.
All right.
I want to, I'll show up, free bar, open bar.
I'll give a terrible best man speech.
Do it.
Not the best man.
Probably embarrass everybody in the room.
including myself.
Yeah, listen, I'm in.
Tell your sister.
What, are they renewing their vowsers?
Wait a minute.
Or are you the one getting married, Rhea?
No, not me.
Oh, God.
Oh, oh, gosh.
I'm only 22, Johnny.
Please, that scares me.
I'm 38 and that scares me.
No, so she was supposed to get married June 12th,
but obviously with everything going on.
Yeah.
They just did like a very, very small thing in the backyard.
Yeah, it is.
Wild time.
Wait, they did a wild thing in the back.
yard.
Tell me about this.
A small, a small thing.
And I said, it's a wild time.
Okay.
Yeah.
But anyways, like I said, big banana stands.
We're all so happy that you won, including Fran and I.
I want you to tell the whole family that I send my best and I appreciate all their support.
Now, if they could just get, you know, Ria on board with, you know, the holes of supporting
the challenge thing.
That would be, that would be great.
Yeah, I'll let them know.
I'll forward them this clip.
Okay.
It's been quite a few years since you've won, since the whole.
since the whole thing with Sarah.
Yes, it has.
Listen, as much as people wanted to give you shit for it,
and it was a whole big thing that you didn't share your money with Sarah,
and everyone was freaking out.
Great TV.
You know how to make a good TV show.
I concur.
Who became richer.
And the curse has ended.
You won again.
So it is what it is.
Listen, man, I mean, you put it all out there.
I could not agree more.
I've never been somebody ever to second-guess decisions that I've made.
I've always been a forward-thinking type person.
And, you know, I've always been of the mindset that everything happens for a reason.
And karma, I've never really been big into karma either.
I don't think that because you do something good, that means something good is going to happen to you
or because you've done something bad, something bad is going to happen to you.
I'm the type of person that likes to think that I'm in control of my own fate.
and bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people and vice versa.
I think that the Sarah thing, I really do think it, now looking back on it,
I really do think, you know, the whole curse thing that evolved from that,
I ended up getting on board in a way with that too because, I mean,
it got to the point where it's like there's got to be some other explanation for this drought.
I long maintained that it was because of, I was.
a victim of my own success, which I also do think was partially true. But if we're going with the
whole, you know, sports comparison, there's a lot of curses in sports, the curse of the Bambino,
the Billy Goat, and there was the curse of the banana, you know, and I'm just glad to have that
monkey off of my back, okay, because that was something that really did start to start to dog me there
for a while. And, you know, as much as I wanted to, you know, convince myself and try to convince
other people that this curse didn't, in fact, exist, I started questioning what the hell was going
on at this point, too. I mean, I was showing up. I mean, there was a point in time in my challenge
career where I showed up and it was almost like death and taxes, right? Johnny Bananas was going to
make it to a final and most likely win. And then I got to a point where I just went on this really
long drought and um and it got i was again starting to wonder if i was ever not even going to win a
final going to make it to a final again and uh this season i i exercised all my demons and um yeah
i couldn't be uh couldn't be more ecstatic about it so how insane was this final because it i it looked
there's one thing like that i sometimes i watch i'm like okay maybe but the cold put me in the cold
forget it i'm useless like once i hit that point of like being so cold
I might as well just be like comatose.
So I don't know how you guys, like how cold, how cold was it?
Like how did you guys, how did you mentally get through that?
The cold was only one of the elements.
The altitude, the altitude was also, we just went from the thing about the challenge
and a lot of people don't factor this in is we obviously,
everyone shows up in like primed and ready to go shape, right?
You know, everyone trains now like it really is.
is like they're showing up for a sport.
Well, most of us do.
Some people just show up for, you know, they're on the,
I'm happy to be here plan.
But the majority of people now show up and they treat it as, you know,
an athletic event and they show up in shape.
After being in the bunker for eight weeks,
even though there was the ability to kind of stay in shape with our gym and the track
and the turf and everything that we had,
you got to the point that the living conditions in that bunker were so miserable.
You didn't want to do anything.
You didn't want to get out of bed.
It was like it really was like seasonal affect disorders or seasonal depression where it was like you didn't want to do anything.
You didn't want to get out.
You definitely didn't want to work out.
So after doing that and eight weeks of that, I think a lot of people were a shell of kind of what they showed up as.
I mean, we weren't getting the exercise, the sunlight, the oxygen that you normally would in a normal environment.
So going from that, going from those conditions to then, you know, we, you know, we,
took a nine-hour bus ride from Prague to the Austrian Alps. You know, you're going up in this bus,
up these mountains, your ears are popping. You're like, all right, this is going to be fun to compete in.
And then, yeah, you get outside. And it was cold in Prague, but it was nowhere near as cold as it was
in the Austrian Alps. And it's like one of those things. I'm not sure when the last time you
have been at altitude or if you ever have, but your body's not used to it. Yeah, if you have not
like acclimated yourself to high altitude,
you go up a flight of stairs and you're out of breath, okay?
So we had really no time to adjust.
It was like we got off the bus,
we unpacked the next morning.
It's like climb this mountain.
But yeah,
it was the cold.
It was the altitude.
Again,
everyone showed up to this final.
Everyone was banged up in one form or another.
Rogan practically just broke his neck in an elimination.
I was banged up for multiple challenges before that.
So all the elements.
for working against you. And yeah, it was a lot. Usually show up to a final. And if it's at sea
level, you're on an island, there's not like this ominous like mountain in front of you. We show up.
And I mean, these mountains are like, you know, in the clouds. And it's like, yeah, the top of that is
where you need to go. So, yeah, to say it was, it was difficult would be an understatement.
I like to think that, you know, high altitude challenges are kind of like something that I'm good at.
I've won basically every high altitude challenge I've been in.
But again, it's been a long time since I've been up that high
and since I've competed at that height.
So it was a lot to deal with for sure.
Props to you guys, because when I was watching it,
I was like, this looks like my worst fucking nightmare.
And honestly, it looked like it was for some of the girls
who just, they dropped out.
There was no shot.
They were sticking around.
I mean, Melissa was like, I'm out.
Bailey, she hurt her knee and that was it.
Like, once she heard that she was going to be staying
outside. She was done with it. And I just, I thought it was insane. The elimination between you and
Rogan, it looked so easy. I'm sorry, my dog is crying right now. It looked so easy, but it must have been
really hard because I don't see TJ or anybody in the challenge just making an elimination be that
easy. So, first of all, there were times in this challenge where it was like, I even,
was thinking about like tapping out.
I mean, it was that brutal.
Melissa, listen, the fact that she was able to perform this entire season pregnant,
okay?
I think that's that she's like the real MVP of the season,
her and a little Vienna there.
The fact that she even managed to make it as far as she did in the final
is absolutely a testament to, you know,
that girl's tenacity and, you know, inability to give up.
Bailey the same thing.
I mean, Bailey came in and she surprised the,
lot of people. I mean, she came in and competed at a very, very high level. But when you had Jenny and
Casey, who are these absolutely just dominant female forces, and if you're obviously Melissa and Bailey,
who are as far behind as they were, you look at that and it's like, why am I going to continue
subjecting myself to this misery when I have little to no shot at catching either one of these
other two? So I totally understood that. The elimination in the final, it was just,
as if, as if, you know, there wasn't enough to contend with in this final.
It's like now on top of everything you're already dealing with,
you now have a shot at being eliminated.
And like you said, it didn't look like anything.
At first, TJ explained it to us.
He's like, you got to run.
We just thought it was a race to the bell.
I'm like, all right, I got this guy in a foot race.
What we didn't factor in is we're on top of a mountain.
The snow is up to your knees.
Yeah, you only have to maybe jump eight or nine.
inches off the ground, but trying to jump at all where you have absolutely zero stability
underneath you. I mean, we both, we look like complete fools. Like, I mean, I'm not exactly
sure like how it came across, but it, to me, it felt like, like a, like a three stooges like skit,
where we both run and we both jump and don't go anywhere. It's like the cat, you know, on the car.
You just completely miss each other. It was, it was honestly hilarious watching you both like.
Dunk in the snow. Yeah. It was, trust me, it felt, it felt, it felt. It felt.
argue, it probably felt just as stupid as it looked. Um, but again, man, it was like, it was all in the
line and it was, it was a lot more difficult than, than I thought it was going to be for sure.
Yeah, the, the first time that you guys like both swung at it and it looked like,
my first thought was like, damn, is that thing way higher than I thought it was?
No. No. But that was the whole thing. We're, we're, we're, I don't think I've ever tried to
jump in the snow. It's like, it's like the, the, the, the, the, the, the cat videos.
where the cat is like posted up and it's going to try and like, you know,
jump off the side of a car and its feet just slip out from under it and it falls off the edge.
I mean, that's what it felt like.
It was like a Looney Tunes cartoon.
We went to jump and there was zero stability.
I mean, your foot, you just sunk up to your knees in the snow.
And as soon as that happened, it was like, I think it hit us both simultaneously.
Like, oh, okay.
You're not going to jump from five feet away from this thing.
You literally have to get right underneath it and jump straight up.
And you're still going to barely be able to, to read it.
reach it. So yeah. And the second the second time that you jumped, it was like you just hit it
with the tibir finger and that must have felt so good because that was all you needed.
If I put it this way, if I wasn't wearing gloves, I wouldn't have touched the bell.
I mean, when I tell you, if I hadn't trimmed my fingernails, it wouldn't have touched the
bell. I jumped and it was like, I was like, I'm not going to hit this. And somehow by the grace
of God, yeah, I nicked it and it, uh, and I ended up playing out my fingernails.
favor. Not the, not necessarily the, the road that I wanted to trek, okay, the same with the elimination
against West. If you would have told me in, in the moment, I would not have wanted it to go
that direction. Would you want to go against West's an elimination? No, but I'm glad the way that,
that that ended up turning out. Do you want to be in an elimination in the final? Absolutely not.
But again, I'm glad with the way that that turned out.
And I think, listen, there's going to be a lot of naysayers out there
who are going to do anything they can to invalidate this season for me and this win for me.
And I think, again, going into the elimination against West
and then going into the only elimination in the final
and coming out on top both times,
I think just makes my journey and the story arc of my season
that much more just, I guess, in my own opinion, like magical.
And it, again, really does a lot to dispel a lot of the rumors and the conspiracies out there about this season being rigged for me or, you know, this, you know, in some way, shape or form, there being some higher power that helped me win.
I mean, this 100% was from front to back, probably the most emotionally and, like, physically draining challenge I've ever done.
And on top of that, I think, like, just from watching the whole season, you played a really smart game.
Like, towards the beginning, I felt like you kind of flew under the radar you and Wes were doing your thing,
which was smart because there were so many new people who were kind of like trying to get their footing.
You didn't get involved in like the petty shit and kind of like slid under until you knew like exactly when to make your move.
And that happened to be against West.
And people, you know, people said like, damn, Johnny made that deal with Wes, but then he, you know, went behind his back and took him out.
Did you ever, like when that happened, did you go into it being like, all right, this is where I take Wes out, even though we've been working together?
No. And that's, I know that that's kind of the way that it came across on that episode, but that wasn't, what happened with that was I hit my breaking point.
Everybody hits their breaking point at a different time in the show.
this was a different season.
I mean, this is the first time ever that instead of trying to stay out of elimination,
you basically had to fight to go in.
And I think a lot of us were sitting back just trying to suss this situation out and be like,
what's this red skull thing all about?
Is there going to be some plot twist halfway through the game where, you know, more people are given?
So I think a lot of us, the vets at least, were sitting back and biting our time.
I then hit my breaking point.
One day, I don't know what it was.
woke up in that bunker and I'm like I am done I am done I don't want to be here anymore I
without a purpose if I am gonna if I'm gonna subject myself to one more day of this torture
I want there to be a reason to do it and we showed up and when I saw what the what the challenge was
trivia uh over water 30 degrees outside um I was already kind of like recovering from I don't
whatever a cold or whatever it was like I showed up and that was that looking to
that platform over the water, falling into the water. I was like, this is it for me. And I told Wes,
before we even set up, before we even got harnessed up on these rockets, I was like, Wes,
I'm done. All right? Just so you know, I'm losing today on purpose and I'm nominating myself to go in.
So he knew before he had even won that day, he knew what my plan was. It just so happened that
he ended up winning. And then for whatever reason got this bug up his ass.
where all of a sudden now he wanted to go in.
And I think what it was more than anything is it,
it wasn't that all of a sudden Wes magically wanted,
this was his time.
He magically wanted to like go in.
I think what it was is he was coming off his third challenge victory,
team victory, daily challenge victory in a row.
He saw the potential of me going into an elimination
and coming back with a red skull and him not having one.
And I think from Wes's point of view,
his ego got in his way.
and he would have rather gone home than been in a situation where I was in the house with the red skull and he didn't have one.
And I think that that's what it was.
And he just, again, let his ego get the best of him.
He said he was worried about how it was going to look and people were going to call him, you know, scared.
And I'm like, Wes, on any other season, I get it.
If we were at war with each other and if this was any other season where we came in his rivals and we were going at it and you had your opportunity to throw yourself in and you didn't, I would agree.
but the fact is we are working together for the first time ever.
People want to see us ride this thing out and run it out in the final.
So I think it was just a very, very, it was a huge miscalculation on his part.
He severely misjudged my state of mind.
He thought I was tapped out like from the game.
He thought that bananas is mentally out.
I'm going to beat him, you know, on that aspect alone.
And he had another thing coming.
Yeah. I'm glad he did. I mean, it was a great moment for me. Yeah. Yeah. I will say this season played out
perfectly for you, but you fought for it. And I think that Wes being part of that and I really enjoyed
watching you guys play together just because I like watching the OGs play together against the new people
and kind of, you know, getting under their skin and, and just kind of, it's like hijinks. Like,
you're, you're putting them against each other. And it's fun to watch because we know you guys. And
you guys just even if i wasn't that big of a fan of west in the past he is fun to watch because
you like hate him but you also love him so watching you guys together is great but even
better is watching you guys play against each other so that elimination was so perfect i was
yelling at my tv i was like is west not going to go into this elimination is he going to
pussy out and just like run away from bananas because then he's going to look like the worst
That's why I was had that and is, yes, because there's the time of example, we all had that. Yes. I think we all, we all felt that way. And he definitely, he would, I know you say that, but I think he, he would have gotten absolutely ripped apart if he did not go in. He was probably right on that. I think he would have. I think so, too. I really think he would have.
Okay, but you know, but then the way, okay, so the way that I play this game, the way, the challenge, like when I'm there, it's all,
almost like my, the way I come into the house and the way I kind of position myself in the house
is like part cast member, but also part producer, right? So there are certain things that I will do
that doesn't necessarily benefit my game sometimes because I know it will, it will play out
as a good storyline. Okay. And I've done that in the past. There have been times that I've done
things that have not benefited my game just because it's like what an amazing storyline this is
going to be. But then there are other times where it's like there is way too much on the line
to give a shit about storyline to care about whatever the fans or the Monday morning quarterbacks
are going to say about a decision that I made. And this was what and this is what I told him.
And this is part of our conversation that was cut out. But I was like, Wes, you should,
this is your pride and this is your ego talking. Okay. Who cares what a bunch of people on
social media and trolls out there are going to say about the decision that you made,
you have,
he was set up so well in this game.
He was,
he was protected more than I was because he was,
because by us neutralizing our rivalry,
that not only neutralized me,
but that also neutralized everybody else that I was working with that would have
been working against him and vice versa.
Where he was set up,
everybody in the house owed him a favor.
Guys like Littlefinger,
okay?
He literally somehow manages,
to get everybody, you know, like, he's like, like, marionettes.
Like, he's able to, like, basically play all these people.
And where he was sitting, if he didn't go into that elimination against me,
he basically had the shot at going in any elimination from there on out,
and everyone would have owed it to him and had to throw him in.
And if you see the eliminations after that,
it was swinging back and forth on a container against either Swaggy or Corey,
which he would have won.
Or it was tying a rope through a car against Josh or Kyle,
which he most likely would have won.
So his road to the final would have been much easier had he not made that, you know,
ill-advised, boneheaded move.
But again, man, it's like, Wes is, I think one of his biggest, one of his biggest, you know,
positive attributes is his, is this false bravado that he has.
But I think his ego and his pride is also his biggest downfall at the same time.
And I think that's what he was more worried about.
He was more worried about what people were going to think than his own best influence.
in the game. And that's a, you know, it's a dangerous way to play.
Makes sense.
Definitely. Do you have any thoughts about Corey thinking that he was going to take the whole
thing home? Because I really felt like Corey felt like this was his season. He had it in the
bag. And he didn't even, he didn't even come in second. And I'm a fan of Corey. I liked
watching him and Nelson and their relationship. But I was, like, why am I, like,
crying over Nelson and Corey's friendship? Why am I having his feeling?
Like what is going on?
This would never happen normally.
Yeah.
So I like Corey, but I just, I had this feeling it was going to be you.
And even I think he had it, but it just all fell apart towards the end of the final.
I mean, I guess it's the same.
Like, you know, when you're in sports, you got to play all four quarters.
You know what I mean?
It's not, it doesn't matter how much you're up in the third quarter.
It's like you can't ever let your foot off the accelerator pedal.
And I think that's what he, that was the position.
he found himself in. He performed so well on the first day. I mean, listen, his, his strategy of taking
his skis off and just hiking up that mountain ended up being the better strategy. I, like an idiot,
tried to keep mine on and tried to perform with them on, and that was just totally stupid.
But you won. Yeah. And then, well, not that day. That's a thing. Day one. Day one. And that's the other
thing about finals, people who don't have a lot of experience in them don't realize this is a
marathon. People think it's a sprint and it's like, okay, as long as I have so much of a head
start on you or whatever, I actually am better at performing from behind because what you then
end up doing is you put pressure on the person in front of you. When you are in front in the
beginning, it's almost like the pressure on you is greater to stay ahead. And again, I think
I think he just let that, like, I think he let that get to his head, you know, and it was,
it was good for me. You know, I think winning, I think going into that elimination against
Rogan, winning that elimination, I think really took a lot of the wind out of Corey's
sales. And yeah, he even got to the point where he didn't even come second. I mean, Kyle ended up
beating him, which again was shocking to me. But you never know. I mean, you honestly never know
when it comes to the final, you know, that math equalizer. Nobody saw that coming. And again,
it took somebody like me who I'm not good at math math is not my strong suit okay me either I have
never been good at math I mean you saw that the first challenge of the season I'm you know in the
moment I couldn't divide you know whatever 26 by two like here I am with this nine stage math
equation that I'm reading and I literally had to like do arithmetic in the snow with my ski pole
how I somehow managed to find the four-digit answer to what ended up being the four-digit combination to my lock on my first try.
You know, that still keeps me up at night.
Nothing else from this entire season haunts me more than when I look back and I'm like, had I been off by one digit on this code, the whole final could have had a different outcome.
So sometimes like they say, it's better to be lucky than to be good.
and I feel like as strategically sound of a season that I played,
there were some elements of luck that I could not have expected,
you know, again, that played into my favor.
And I'm just glad that, you know, it was the outcome that it was.
How about Jenny is a freaking boss?
Like, Jenny won.
Like, Jenny came in first place.
Yeah.
She is unbelievable.
How did, like, are you happy that she was the girl that you won?
So a lot of people don't, like haven't factored this into the equation either, but Jenny and I
actually shared a bunk in the, in the bunker. So it's, I think it's, it's, it's so, I think it's funny how,
or serendipitous, wherever you want to say that, that us do, we shared a bunk together and then
we ended up being the winning pair, I guess you could say. We all knew, and I knew, just based on like
what she had done in some of the daily challenges and in her elimination against D.
The girl is a monster strength-wise, right?
I mean, she really is like built.
She's like a brick shit house.
A lot of times what you see is people, when they have more muscle mass, that affects
them when it comes to their endurance levels, right?
She'd never run a final before.
So I was even a little bit kind of like questioning her.
I didn't question her strength and her heart at all.
but her stamina was like, all right, it's going to be really interesting to see how well she performs,
not just in a final where it requires stamina, but at, when you're nine, 10,000 feet, when everything's
different. And she set such a blistering pace on that second day that I couldn't even, I mean,
my thing was like, all right, I'm definitely not going to catch up to her. I just got to make up,
if I can pace her and make sure that she doesn't put any more distance than I think I've got a good
shot at beating the two of these guys. Corey and and and and uh, and, uh, and Kyle that were behind
me. But what she managed to do, this pace that she set, um, that inability that she has to like,
that, that she had to like give up. The way she performed this entire season, uh, you know,
the way that she took out D, which was hands down, it's very rare that when, in an elimination,
especially like Hall brawl, that the female round is like that much more like intense and like
entertaining than the guys.
She put on an absolute clinic against D.
Okay.
And they cut a lot,
they cut a lot of it out of the season, obviously,
because D got deleted.
But that...
You're truly the king of the puns, my friend.
Yeah, listen, that leading up to that,
to that elimination,
Dee talked so much smack.
She was like, Jenny, I'm going to,
listen, I'm not your friend anymore.
I'm going to hurt you.
I'm not going to play nice.
And I'm sitting there like,
Is it like she has no idea what she's talking about.
We went in and the way that she got absolutely just destroyed.
Destroyed.
Destroyed.
Wow.
There you go.
It was incredible.
And I could not be more happy.
If you know Jenny's story, I mean, she came up in an upbringing with nine brothers and sisters.
You know, like she said, all she's ever wanted to do her entire life is be able to like give back to her family and provide them with things that they never had growing up.
And the fact that she was able to win it, I mean, I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of her winning.
Yeah, I'm totally, totally stoked for her.
She deserved it.
Yeah, definitely.
We agree.
We were rooting for her as well.
And to wrap it up, are you going to do another season of the challenge or is a retirement coming?
I mean, listen, if there was ever a time for me to hang it up, I almost feel like this just,
Listen, there's a lot of really insane stats.
My 20th season happened in 2020.
Okay?
This was my seventh win.
The final tonight will be my 200th episode that I've been on.
So yeah, there's a lot of round numbers there.
And I could honestly say that if winning,
if making it to a final and winning this season was difficult,
I think from here on out it's going to be damn there impossible.
just based on everything.
The way the challenges are structured,
the difficulty of, you know, again,
the challenge is me getting a little later on in life,
not having the same, you know,
explosiveness, pepping my step that I used to.
So, I mean, I'm not going to sit here and say, like,
you know, I'm 100% hanging it up
because I'm not the type of person to do that.
But if there ever was a time for me to kind of like walk away
from the challenge,
there wouldn't be a better and brighter note to do it on.
So, I mean, listen, don't be, don't be shocked if you don't, if I'm back in the future,
but also don't be, don't be shocked if you don't.
I mean, I still, again, this one did a number on me, mentally, physically, spiritually.
And yeah, yeah, I think for the time being, it's like I'm really happy with where everything
is at right now.
Um, you know, they say some, as the saying goes, uh, either, either die a hero or live long
enough to be a villain.
Mm-hmm.
In a weird way, it's like, that's almost kind of gone opposite for me with my story arc,
like this season.
It's almost like die a villain or live long enough to be a hero.
So, um, you know, I, I just really like the way that, that, that this whole season played out
for me.
Um, you know, it's, it's been, it's been a while since I've gotten as, as, as, as positive, positive as
and edit as I did this season.
It's very strange in my position.
Which is why people thought it was rigged.
Yeah.
It's very strange in my position to not just have people in the house, but, but,
but fans pulling for me.
It's been a long time since I've had the amount of like fan support that I had this
season.
Usually everyone's rooting against me.
So, um, we'll see.
We'll see, man.
But, uh, if, if this, if this was the last one, what, what a hell of a run.
It was, um, you know, what, what the chat.
that I've essentially spent a third of my life doing what I've loved to do.
You know, I've watched myself grow up on television.
Some of my biggest mistakes and some of my best moments have been made in the public eye.
And I truly owe a lot of the person that I've become to, you know, to the challenge and to MTV.
And I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for them.
So, you know, if this is the swan song, I just want to say that, you know, it's been one hell of a ride.
And, you know, thanks for, thanks everyone for coming along.
Yeah.
You're going to make us tear up.
It's the perfect end of the script.
One might say a long movie of Johnny Bananas.
Absolutely.
It definitely is.
I want to say that, you know, hypothetical, we, there was, say, like another kind of male-female
couples challenge and you and Morgan.
were thrown into the ring, you think you would do that?
No, not a snowball's chance in hell.
If you think,
listen, I've seen, I've seen what this show does to,
to relationships.
The challenge, reality television in general,
is not in the business of,
of highlighting positive attributes within a relationship.
It's all about trying to show kids.
Poor Jenna all season.
Dude, Jenna, I mean, Tori and Jordan.
Yeah.
You know, the list goes on, man.
I mean, to be a couple in the public eye, especially on reality television, it's too difficult.
Morgan's got a lot of amazing things going on outside of the show.
I think she dabbled her toe in the reality television water, you know, realized it wasn't necessarily, you know, for her.
And, yeah, I mean, I would never want to, you know, subject us or her or our relationship to,
you know the amazing race that's something that I can get on board with all right but uh but the
challenge there's there's yeah there's no way there's fantastic very mature answer there johnny
yeah we're we're very proud of you um we're also proud of you for winning like we said
we've been this whole time there's nobody we'd rather see win this show
oh oh you guys are going to make me tear up if you keep this out wow this is emotion
But, and like we said, if there's any way to end this long run of yours, it would be now.
It would be the perfect ending.
But, you know, we'd be sad to not see you on TV.
Yeah, we'd also be totally fine with you.
We'd be fine with you going.
But career move, I'd advise you to stop.
Maybe, maybe, no, just because I would end right now as well.
Maybe do some hosting.
Maybe like a career, career move.
Listen, stop the challenge and go on Siesta Key.
All right. That's how I know, Ria would continue watching.
No, do not go on S-a-Kee, because like you said, that would have ruined your relationship.
So, yeah. I would rather put a campfire out with my face than I'm on that show.
I would rather take a toothpick, stick it under my toenail, and kick the wall as hard as I could.
Good. I'm really glad we got emotional for a second and brought it right back.
Right back. Brought it right back.
Thank you for joining us.
Johnny are the best. Love you.
You guys are.
It's been a pleasure as usual.
Thank you ladies for all support.
I'm glad.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself this season.
We did.
We did.
It was a great one.
Thanks, Johnny.
I hope it was as good for you as it was for me.
Yeah, it was.
It was.
Thank you.
Bye.

And baby, I'm a baddest you fucking with a savage.

Terms and conditions apply. All right, everyone, we are here with a very special guest, Demi Burnett
from the Bachelor franchise. We've been waiting a long time for her to come on this show,
and she is finally here. Well, from Demi. Hi, I know. I've been waiting to come on too for so long.
I think I wasn't getting approved back whenever I was under contract. But I'm glad that we're
finally doing this. Yeah, classic ABC. Yeah, we've dealt with that many times. But you know what?
Knock on wood, I think like ABC is starting to come around to us. They start to like actually let us
interview people now, which is great. It's because you guys got Tyler Cameron and he's got all the
clout, you know? And so they're like, okay, wait, maybe we should jump on that train. Yeah, they don't,
they don't want to make Tyler mad. So they're probably like, all right, we got to make these girls happy.
Well, we have so much shit to talk about.
I feel like from, like I said, since the beginning,
we've been wanting to talk to you.
I don't even know where to begin,
but I guess we can talk a little bit.
We're going to have to talk about it.
It's been a year now since Paradise.
How much has changed in this past year?
How are you feeling looking back on it?
What's going on?
So much has changed since Paradise.
I feel like as a,
person, I've definitely come a long way.
Sorry, my cat's getting into something.
I've come a long way and I've learned a lot more about myself
and what things about myself I need to work on
as far as, like, being in a relationship.
And then, like, what I, you know, want in a relationship.
And I don't know.
It's like self-growth, I guess.
It's like I'm in a weird place right now.
Like, I'm not, like, completely lost,
but there's, like, part of me that is
because I'm navigating this new life.
Um, and, you know, everybody makes mistakes in life, but like a lot of my mistakes are on
television. They're out there forever. Like, it's, it's, it's cringy to think about it sometimes,
but I definitely want to take anything back and, yeah, I'm just trying to grow, man.
Yeah, I, it's, it's crazy because it doesn't seem like, uh, it was that long ago. It's been,
you know, been a year, but so, like, just feel like, so much just happened in the last
year that that seems like another almost like another lifetime ago. And now you're doing this
new podcast that is your own show. You've been doing it for, I guess it's been a few months now,
right? Yeah. Yeah, which is amazing. Tell us about that, why you wanted to create a podcast,
what every show is kind of like. So with the podcast thing, like it was an opportunity presented
to me and I was like, yeah, that sounds like so much fun. And then,
And, you know, we all went into quarantine.
And it was like, I had this release date, like, you know, that we were set on.
And we couldn't meet in a studio or anything.
So they just sent me the equipment.
And I just had to do them by myself from my house.
And, like, I've never done it before.
So it's already really intimidating.
And then on top of that, like, I've had no idea what I'm doing.
And I'm, like, figuring out all this equipment.
And then I'm like, I don't have, like, immediate feedback, you know, like, in the studio.
I feel like, you could, like, talk to the different people there.
I'd be like, do you think this is stupid?
or like does this work or did I go too far?
So like doing it all from home, it's really hard.
And it's like I'm doing like all the recordings and stuff by myself.
They definitely do all the editing and whatnot.
But it's still like, it's getting better.
I definitely don't know what I'm doing still.
And it's so hard for me to interview people sometimes because I bet you guys feel this
way too.
It's like, I don't want to offend you.
I don't like, you know, whoever you're interviewing.
It's like, I don't know where the line is.
And I already crossed the line a lot.
And so it's like,
I don't know.
Like, you know, I want to make it really interesting.
So I want to talk about the dirty details of things and the scandals and like, you know,
the hard questions.
But it's like I don't feel comfortable doing that because I don't really know you.
Right.
We feel the same way because like you said, like you want to get that deep conversation and
you want to get the conversation flowing.
And I feel like that only happens when you start asking like really good questions.
But then you are afraid of their reaction to the question.
but I feel like something that works for us is I just remember they they're human beings like I'm a human
you're a human if this person asks me this question would I snap at them or would I just answer in a
discreet way if I didn't really want to answer it yeah I told that's totally true it's like I'm so I hate
confrontation so much and I hate like pissing people off and I mean I know it probably doesn't seem
that way, but like I actually do. And so I am, I'm like kind of scared, but that's a good point. Like,
I wouldn't be mad about the questions I would be asking. But I don't know. You never know with people.
I've been like snapped on by too many people in my life. It's just kind of scary. But I'm getting
better at it and finding better ways to like word the questions. And like I just did a podcast
with Katie and it was so good because she's like my closest friend. And so it was a really good one.
I think it was my best one yet. And I wasn't, you know, afraid of anything. It was just like flow.
So yeah, also it's a lot of work.
I thought people just got on podcasts and were like, hey, what's up?
Like, let's chat.
So, like, you got to do some research.
You got to have an outline.
You got to be ready for this.
Right.
Well, that's super exciting.
And the podcast is called Big Demi Energy, right?
And what days has it come out?
Wednesdays.
Wednesdays.
So you can subscribe, download on all the platforms.
So you said Katie is one of your closest friends.
You just did an episode with her.
Who right now are you closest with?
the Bachelor franchise besides Katie?
Nick, of course. Nick is one of my best friends.
He's a really great person. He's a great friend too. Like a lot of people don't give
him enough credit for how good of a friend he is. They just think he's like some douchebag who
was the Bachelor and like whatever. And it's like that's so not Nick. Nick is actually a really good
friend. He has a very, very unique personality and it's just not for some people. But I am the kind of person
who like I know that's his personality and I just don't take it personally and I'm I'm I kind of find
it endearing now I'm like a little grumpy old Nick like you know but he would do anything for me
you know he would be the person I would call if I was stranded somewhere and how did you feel when
people automatically thought that you two were dating when you guys became such good friends um
my 17 year old self was like living for it but I mean it doesn't bother me because I know it's not true
and like we've never had anything like that.
So it's just kind of funny to me now.
It's like, oh, y'all are still wondering if we're dating or not.
Like, we're absolutely not.
We like, you know, I tried to make out with him.
I was like, let's make out.
And he was like, no.
And I was like, why?
And he was like, because he was like, I don't want to ruin our friendship.
And I was like, it won't.
Like, come on.
And then like, looking back on it, I'm like, yeah, thank God we never did
because it would have made the friendship weird.
Like, now it's just like a pure friendship.
Totally.
Oh man, listen, I
joke around about Nick on this show all the time
just because I'm like, I stand Nicky V.
I call him Nikki Vee for whatever reason.
Like, because his questions with Nick
crack me the fuck up.
I'm like, he, like, the answers are just so blunt.
I'm like, is he being serious?
Is he not?
He thought I was...
Like you.
Yeah, he thought I was making fun of him
so much so that Fran went on Instagram live
with him during a Bachelor Goat.
watching and then I came on just to like clear the air between us and I was like Nick you don't understand like I stand Mickey V like there's no hate against you
oh yeah he's a little sensitive yeah I know well it's funny because you know we've had him on the show um before and we've had
plenty of like interactions with him now but it's funny because you you do have an idea of these people
that you're watching on TV and you think you know who they are just from watching them on TV um
And then you actually get to talk to them and you're like, wow, that's totally not what I thought at all.
Like, so when we watched him for many seasons, many different shows, we were like, oh, this guy.
And then when we finally got to talk to him, it was very enjoyable.
And I get you're saying, like, he is, he just has, like, a different kind of personality.
It makes him very unique.
And you just, like, have to know how to, like, understand what he's saying.
I feel like...
Navigate it.
Yeah, yeah.
Sure.
Like, because, you know, with a lot of people that you meet, like, you need to hear, like,
well, for me, like, to think someone, like, likes me and enjoys me around, I need, like,
verbal validation and stuff.
And, you know, and, like, you're not going to get that from him.
But, like, you know, like, actually values you as a friend whenever he, like, calls you
every few days.
And he's like, hey, you want to go grab lunch?
And, like, you know, hey, I see you needed a TV hung up.
Like, I'll come hanging up and stuff like that.
So he just has a different love.
language, I guess, than a lot of typical friends. And I like it, though. It's unique and it's honest.
And I know he would always be there for me. So definitely. Definitely. I love that.
Yeah. Frank, go ahead. Seems like great. So I wanted to, I forget what I was going to say now.
Oh, no, I remember. So you said, you said that, you know, you've been very close with Nick, very close
with Katie. There's been a lot of, I would say like the Bachelor world has not taken,
break even like during quarantine.
There's been plenty of good stuff, plenty of, um,
drama that has gone down recently.
I don't know how,
how close you are with like Cassie and Colin,
but we know that they,
that they, um, broke up and then they kind of got into like this little bit of a,
of an Instagram back and forth.
Do you have any thoughts on that?
Um, I will say, uh, so Cassie and I,
Cassie's been one of my favorite cast members post show.
Like she,
is actually a really good friend too.
She always shows up to things.
You know how you ask your friends to do things?
Like, I'm having an event and like, you know,
maybe one or two shows up.
Like, Cassie's always the one or two that shows up.
She's very supportive.
And I love her family.
They love me.
It's actually funny because I was like so nervous to meet them
because I was like, oh, no, I'm the bad girl.
It's like really good Christians and all this stuff.
And whenever I met them, they'd like embrace me with open arms.
They were like, we're obsessed with you, blah, blah, blah.
And like, it was so awesome.
So I did hang out with Cassie recently, and I probably asked her like 50 times, like, why did you guys break up?
And she would not talk about it.
She, like, is so respectful of, like, that privacy that they had and, like, how they said,
like, they're not going to be public about their breakup.
Like, she had nothing bad to say about him.
And, like, she even, like, you know, she cried at one point.
She was just like, it's really hard.
Like, I know she cares about him so much.
And I don't even know what happened.
She is really loyal to her word on that.
So with the Instagram drama and, like, Colton being mad about the fact.
that she went on the Bachelor greatest fault of time episode.
I think that's ridiculous because she didn't even say anything about the relationship at all.
And I think he was just like being petty and trying to get a reaction out of her.
But I was really proud of her for like what she said on her story.
I was like, I mean.
I know.
And it's like to have the balls to do it publicly and be like, look, publicly once and for all
like this is it and stuff like that.
I thought that was really cool because I know a lot of time.
after a breakup, you like want to, you're scared to say anything about it and stuff like that.
So I thought it's really cool because she stood up for herself.
And like, that was the best way she could have handled it.
Absolutely.
And I think because it's so hard to ignore the haters, especially in Bachelor Nation,
I feel like they're so loud.
They voice their opinion so loud.
And I was seeing a lot of that with Cassie and Colton, just everyone attacking Cassie
about the breakup.
And I was like, there's two people involved here.
why do these people even, I know why they care because they feel like they have a right to the relationship because they watch it on TV.
But I'm just like, don't you understand as a human that sometimes stuff just doesn't work out and it's going to be okay?
Like, leave her alone.
So I was actually really happy to see her calling that out on Instagram too because I wasn't expecting it at all.
Yeah.
I'm really proud of her.
And I was shocked by it too because like whenever we were hanging out, I was kind of doing what I do.
And I was like making a joke that wasn't funny.
I was like, I was like, what'd you dump him for?
Like all stuff.
And like, she got emotional.
And she was like, no, like, it's really hard.
And I was like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry.
I took it too far.
Like, I don't think it's funny.
That's just kind of like how I cook with things.
I just have like, I make everything a joke.
It's not the time and I'm really sorry about that.
But yeah, because I thought that maybe it was like that.
Like, I didn't know, you know, like what's going on.
Because all I knew really about their relationship was what we saw on TV.
I never talked to her about her relationship with Colton.
Like, every time they just seemed happy and they were good together and stuff.
So, you know, I just made, like, funny jokes about it.
And it's real to her.
She's a real human.
And, like, she's having a lot of real feelings.
And so I felt pretty bad about that.
It's not understandable because, you know, like you said, we watch it all on TV.
And I appreciate how vocal she has been post-show of kind of, like, talking about how things are edited on the show.
Because it's not, it's like, it's not taboo.
But you don't really hear a lot of people talk about it, especially from the inside.
and she talked about it too
going on greatest of all time.
She was like, I, Chris and I talked about so many other things.
Of course, they only aired the one time he asked about Colin
and she didn't even really want to talk about him.
Have you had like a bad editing experience
where you watched it and you were like,
that is just not what happened?
Oh, yeah, the biggest one that I ever had was whenever,
it was the night that I left Colton's season,
the night that he gave me the boot
and be like Franken bit
an entire sentence of me saying
after tonight Colton won't be the Virgin anymore
I was like I think who in editing did this
because they deserve a raise honestly
for finding all these words and all these clips
and putting them together because
whenever they do these Franken bites
you notice it's never on the person's face
it's always like you know scenery shot or something
and so whenever that happened I was I was upset
because I was like that moment
it was whenever I finally was actually being really vulnerable.
And like I did have feelings for this person and I was very emotional and I never was going in there to take his virginity.
So that was like frustrating for me because I was like, wow, y'all just really made me out to be this fucking virginity hunter or something.
It was like not cool.
I think it's insane that they actually cut up people's words and make a sentence out of it.
Like that blows my fucking mind.
I could never go on reality TV now knowing that they do that because I just wouldn't be okay with that.
I would literally blow up on social media being like, I didn't say that.
They cut my words together.
But you guys kind of just are like, well, I signed up for the show.
I guess it is what it is.
Yeah.
I think that, well, for me personally, it was so obvious that it was like edited because the
didn't flow at all.
So I was just like, okay, like people are going to know that's editing.
but that is one thing that I don't agree with, like, the fact that they can do that.
I get, we can air anything you say.
Anything you say we can air.
Okay, I sign up for that.
I guess I did.
I mean, my dad read the contract, not me.
I guess I signed up for you to take random words out of a bunch of different sentences
and form them together to make one sentence that makes me look really fucking terrible.
Like, okay, cool.
They need to write that out in the contract.
Yeah.
Maybe they do.
Maybe they do. I wouldn't know. I didn't read it.
It's all good now because you are very loved by everyone, especially us. We've been such a big fan of you for so long. What's going on in your life now? What's the relationship status at?
I love you guys too, by the way. Right now in my life, I am getting back on track. I was in a relationship for like five months and it was.
is the like biggest heartbreak of my life.
Like I like broke up with him and it like just wasn't working and we're not in the right
place in our own lives for each other right now and who knows what will happen one day.
But it's still just been so hard because it's like one of those.
And I've never had a relationship like this before where after it ends we still are like
talking and hanging out.
And I'm like I am kind of like mentally fucked right now.
But also I feel better than ever because I am like seeing Katie and like, you know,
doing some social distancing, outdoor activities and stuff and like getting my life back because
whenever I got into this relationship, I just completely consumed myself with this person.
And I stopped caring about anything I was supposed to be doing.
I wasn't, you know, working on my career.
Like I was never posting on Instagram.
I was just, you know, wanting to make him happy.
And I kind of, I lost myself.
And I've heard that Pisces do that in relationships.
I'm not sure.
Like, I'm not really big into astrology.
I used to be whenever I was younger.
but it's a common thing I've seen a lot about Pisces is that they forget their own needs
because they're so focused on yours whenever they're in a relationship.
So now I'm out of that relationship and I'm getting to focus on myself again and like my
friendships and doing things like focusing on my podcast and focusing on work and I'm motivated again.
So it feels good in that sense, but then it's like crap, I miss this person who I was like in
bed with every single night.
Right. Yeah, it's a huge adjustment.
Yeah, and I'm like, people go through these all the time,
but, like, I haven't ever gone through, like, a breakup like this.
Normally, my breakups is, like, I'm being an asshole, and I'm like, I'm over it,
like, see ya. And it's never been this long, and I haven't been with somebody
every single day for five months in a row.
So it's like, oh, like, I want to be a people.
I know it's not good for us to be together right now.
And, like, and there's no, like, easy, there's no typical, let's go out with my girlfriend.
and get trash and have fun and like go to because of quarantine.
So you kind of had to be at home and figure out other ways,
which is, I mean, challenging as it is even without that.
So it's a lot, but I'm glad.
No, you're in L.A. now, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So when did, have you been living there for a while or have you moved there recently?
I moved here almost a year ago.
So last August I moved here.
And it's so crazy.
I haven't been home once.
Obviously, since like 2020, I haven't been home back to Texas.
But I haven't seen my parents in so long.
Like, I had them come.
I flew them out here for my dad's birthday, which was October 20.
I think they got here the 25th.
His birthday was 26.
And so that was the last time I saw them.
They, like, stayed with me for a weekend.
It was so fun.
I took them to Demi Lovato's Halloween party.
They were just like, the fuck is going on.
Like, I was on a take.
throwing one dollar bills out in the VIP section with like Demi Lovato and Paris Hilton and all this
stuff and my parents like she's in her element yeah they're so proud of her I was like what's going on
my dad dressed as a wizard it was so funny he like put all this black eyeliner on he like walked out
the room I was like dad you do that yourself okay yeah I know we need to ask that's amazing brought it up
we have to talk about demi Lovato what's that friendship like how did that happen were you just
shocked that she was so obsessed with The Bachelor?
Yeah, I think it's always really shocking whenever you find out, like, a really big celebrity
watches the show, because it's like, oh my gosh, like, I'm just some random chick who came
from a small town in Texas, and I never thought that, you know, big celebrities would know
who I was, so it's pretty crazy.
I met her because, you know, ABC milk in that clout.
They, like, sat me and her next to each other at Hannah's Mentelaw.
I believe it was.
And then we just like hit it off.
And then me and Hannah went to,
I think it was her birthday.
Yeah,
it was her birthday at a,
it was Demi's birthday.
We went to Soho House.
And we just got along.
We went back and hung out with her.
And so Demi Lobato is a very good friend as well.
Like people really,
you really learn a lot about people
whenever you're going through a hard time
because she checks on me now,
like at least a couple times a week
just to be like,
how are you doing?
How are you feeling?
Like,
because the breakup.
and whatnot. Like, she's been a really good friend to me. And it's, yeah, I value her friendship a lot.
And it's so weird now because she's not Demi Lovato to me, you know? She's like my other Demi.
Yeah. Oh, that's beautiful. And that makes me so happy because we love Demi Lovato so much. So
to just hear how great of a person she is just confirms it for us. Yeah. One, she's so wonderful.
Like we have so much fun. We do like the most simple things too. We could just have like a healing
ceremony at our house or we can go camping.
Like we do normal, like good for your soul things.
I have, I honestly, oh, what's that noise?
Oh, my goodness.
What is that noise?
Oh, okay, stop.
Honestly, that gave me chills listening to that.
Just like, I'm so happy for you.
I'm so happy for the friendships that you've made from this because obviously there
have been some heartbreaks as well as making friendships.
Obviously, we have to talk about this Christian, you know,
you got engaged last summer on Paradise.
Have you talked to Christian at all?
What had happened when that relationship ended?
I have not.
I talked to her one time.
I did an in-depth episode of Almost Famous with Ben and Ashley,
and that was the first time I had talked about it.
I was just like already in my emotions.
Like I wanted to do something probably different than doing it on there,
but like I was so emotional during that that I just was like,
all right, fine, I was going to talk about it.
So I texted.
her after I did it and I was like I just want to say that I'm sorry you know for not being the best to you
because you are so amazing and you deserve the world and all this nice stuff and she said thank you for
taking the time to apologize but that's about it um whenever we broke up it was really a weird time like
because I was you know whenever you're like dating someone and they're wonderful and they're perfect
and amazing and you just are like not into it anymore like it's you just like for some reason you and you try
to make yourself be into it because you're like, this person's good for me.
Like, they, they are the ideal person that would love me to the fullest every moment
for the rest of my life.
And I can't feel that.
I'm not happy with it.
Like, why is that not enough for me?
And that's, it's not that it's not enough.
I guess it's just like not being compatible.
So I kind of got like a little distant.
And I was just like, hey, like, you know, I need to like hang out by myself or like I need
to go out with my friends or like something.
like I just, because I was spending every day with her.
And she was so wonderful and I was feeling irritated for absolutely no reason, you know?
And I knew I was wrong.
And so then it was making me like hate myself.
And so she went to Florida for a few weeks.
And while she was in Florida, I didn't really talk to her much.
It was kind of like us like taking a break of like, let's figure out how we're feeling.
And then whenever she got back, she was like, look, like I can't do this.
Like I can't keep torturing myself.
She was like, you like either have to change or we don't need to be together.
but like this isn't fair to me and I was like I don't think I can change like I I want to I want to
more than anything I want to be the perfect person for you because you deserve that but there's
something stopping me from doing that and there's something that like I don't know what it is but I
just I don't feel it back like I did and so we like broke up one night and like we hung out that night
and cried and hugged and we went our separate ways.
And it was really, really sad.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, you know, sometimes that just happens.
And I don't, you kept saying, you know, you were wrong.
And I don't think that you were wrong.
You're not wrong for feeling the way that you did.
They can be the best person in the world.
But if you are not happy yourself, you can't stay in that relationship.
You got to be happy wherever you are or else the relationship's only going to get worse.
And both of you are going to end up miserable.
So it's probably for the best.
right now. Yeah, I definitely agree with that. It's just like, what is it about like, how can I go from
like being so into someone? And then once, I mean, I don't know, like, then you like have them and they're
doing, like treating you so well, doing everything perfectly. And there's like a part of your brain that's like,
you know? I, I know. I, I know. I, I, it does. I had a, like, I had a very similar situation with
the next boyfriend. Like, he was fantastic. So nice to me. Like, and,
We were really great at the beginning.
And then something just like, like, I was, I was just like, I just don't really feel this anymore.
Like, and it's weird because it's just like a day where it just happens.
Like, there was no, like, there was no change.
Like, he didn't change.
I didn't change.
It was just like, this just isn't really a thing anymore.
And it was hard.
It's super hard because you're, you have to try and explain, like, yeah, I'm sorry.
It's just like my feelings have just changed.
Yeah, you've got to hurt somebody.
Like, you go and it's like, oh, like, I don't.
And once you feel that feeling, you can never go back, you know?
Totally.
Absolutely.
It's like, oh, my gosh, it's just the worst.
I don't know.
It's like maybe if you ignored me for a month, then I'd maybe like change my mind.
Right.
But no, but then it would be a cycle.
Yes, of course.
But, yeah, I know.
Also, you're hurting somebody, but you're also helping them in the end because you would
only hurt them worse if you stuck around. Yeah, that's true. That's how I look at it. Yeah. Well, on the other
side of that, we're your season of paradise, we have some couples that are going, going strong. We
love them, Dylan and Hannah. Your best friends? Yeah, our best friends. We can help up with that.
Dylan, I think Dylan has just always, like, been a big fan of Barstool and just like, he, like, listens to
part of my take, which is the podcast that Ria's boyfriend produces.
And so, like, I just, I just feel like when we, we connected and he came into the office
and he was like, this is, this is where I want to be.
Like, you guys, this is, this is going to be like a mutual, a mutual relationship here.
But, I mean, they're fantastic.
I love the two of them so much.
I love seeing you all together.
Every time I see y'all together, it puts a smile on my face for some reason.
I have no idea why.
I'm just like, oh, there he is again with the chips of the office.
I love it.
Us too. Us too. But I wanted to ask because
Dylan, so like,
you know, there's Dylan, Hannah, Kailen and Dean.
If you had to like,
this is such a weird question, and I don't know why I popped
in my head, but like, if you had to
join one of those relationships.
A thruple? Not a thruple, but like if you were like a
friend and you had to like go move in with one of them.
Like if you, like say for some
terrible reason, you're, something
happens with your apartment, you have to like go
live with a friend and you only get you can pick Dylan or Hannah or Kaelan and Dean um so wow that's a
really great thing both extremely attractive couples um but i will say Dylan and Hannah because in
paradise I would harass them every day being like such a little weird I'd be like they'd be in the
pool being all cute and I'd like sneak over there and I'd be like hey guys should we all go make out
under the grotto right now I would just like I would always mess with them and stuff and I like it was
really fun. It was all in good fun, but it was always like we all had weird inappropriate humor.
Like me and Dylan would be going at it and Hannah would just be sitting there. Me and Dylan,
I'd be like, Dylan, I will fuck your butt whole so good. And then Hannah would be sitting there and she's
like, I love it. I love Hannah's reactions to things. It's so hard because she's just so funny. She's just so
funny. She's so funny. She's so funny. She's so cute. And she's just like her face says everything. And her eyes. I'm just like,
I know exactly what she's saying by the width of her eyes at the moment.
She cracks this up because I think everybody kind of got an idea of how she is from TV also.
And then, like, interacting with her.
She and Dylan came on the show of, I guess it was a couple months ago now.
And she just, like, would have these thoughts and they're hilarious, but she'd be like,
I don't really know if I should say it.
And we're like, say it.
And then she says it.
And it's like the stupidest, funniest thing ever.
We're like, we love you.
You are hilarious.
Right.
It's so funny.
Like all in paradise because we're always miked.
And if you're not mined, you can't talk.
And so she would sit there and she would mouth full-blown conversations to you.
And you're like, Hannah, I have no idea what the fuck you're saying.
And she would just look at you and smile and do it again.
And he said, God damn it, Hannah.
Just say it.
Like, who cares?
But it was so funny.
And yeah, she does.
She has the funniest sense of humor.
Like, I, I, I, I, I, that's with her.
We, when we went to Rolling Loud, there was one.
night where me and Hannah for hours, for hours until the end of the night only said G words. Was it G or D words?
There was just, we only said words starting with D, D, the letter D. And we just did it for
hours straight and just going back and forth. And it was amazing. I was like, this girl's the best.
Like you just don't see this on TV. You really don't. They like, they don't ever air her like really
quirky side. We have this thing where we talk about like foods that are embarrassing to order,
but that you really love. And we would just randomly text each other, like random foods that are
embarrassing that we love. Like she'll be like refried beans and I'm like deviled eggs. And she's like
Vienna sausages. And I'm like pork chop or meatloaf. That's the one meatloaf. It's the most embarrassing.
I always like, Hannah, I want meatloaf right now so bad. And she's like, oh my God, I want meatloaf.
Oh my gosh. I love it. It's just amazing.
Whenever we come back to California, whenever quarantine is ending and people are allowed to hang out, we all have to hang out together because I bet it would just be an absolute blast.
I would love it. Well, Demi, thank you so much for coming on and talking with us. We're so happy. I know, it's over.
It's honestly, we can keep going. I have plenty of questions, but we only, we only had you booked till 3.30.
Oh, man. I know. I think we did have sweating in my mind.
I see one more question, I think, or two more.
Fran, you said before we came on that you wanted to know who, Demi...
I forgot about this.
Yeah.
Which season would you choose to go on if you didn't go on Colton season?
Probably.
I don't know.
I guess probably Knicks just because, like, we get along so well, like, honestly, but then it would be weird.
I'm not really into, like, the typical, like, Bachelor-type guy.
I'd probably go on Matt's season. He seems cool.
That's true. That's a good, that's a good choice.
Yeah, like, the rest of them, like, no, no, no. I'm way too much for all them.
Right. And Ben Higgins.
Yeah.
Ben Higgins is an absolute, like, just the sweetest human being to ever walk the earth.
But, like, too sweet. Too sweet.
But you would corrupt him.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
And to end it, are you?
dating now since the breakup? Are you keeping your options open? Or are you just taking this time for
yourself? Definitely like working on myself and whatnot. I'm not really dating, but open. I'm open-minded.
It's so hard whenever you go through breakup because you can only picture yourself like with that person.
And it's like you compare everyone to that person. And it's like, I don't know how anyone's going to make me feel the way this person made me feel.
So, and that's like the first time I've ever experienced that.
So it's like, ah, I don't know.
I'm reminded though.
If I came across somebody.
Would you go on another bachelor show?
Of course.
Why not?
Hell yeah.
Great.
I love that answer because you never know.
Some people are like, eh, maybe you're just straight up like, yes.
Of course I would.
Are you kidding me?
I love being on The Bachelor.
It's like I'm a kid again.
I have no phone, no responsibility.
Everyone's telling me what to do, like where to go, how to live.
I'm like, okay.
Love it.
And we hope that you do so that we can watch you on TV
because, like we said, you are the most entertaining.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you.
It's not a good thing out there.
Well, thanks for joining the show.
You'll have to come back on soon.
Everyone check out Big Demi Energy.

Nope.
Check out my podcast and follow me on Instagram.
Yeah.
Has that has,
have you now discussed with your Instagram with Demi Lovato?
Like now that you guys are friends, is it like, oh, should I maybe change my
Instagram?
Oh, yeah.
We actually have, like, we've laughed about it and stuff.
And I was like, I'm sorry, but like, I can't change it because it's so iconic.
Like so many people are like, Demi not Lovato.
It's funny because, you know, a lot of celebrities are like, oh, that's Jennifer Aniston.
Oh, that's Demi Lovato.
And for me, it's either that's Demi or that's Demi not Lovato.
Yeah.
It's amazing. My last name doesn't exist. Nobody knows it, I don't think.
Love it. And also the verification goes away if you change the name. So I think.
Oh my God. I think. Yeah. Well, so it'll never happen now.
Not happening ever.
Sorry, Demi Lovato. Yeah. Yeah. It's funny, though, too, because there's a Demi not Burnett now.
Amazing. It's just a cycle that'll keep going.
Yeah. I made it.
Yeah. Well, thank you so much, Demi. We had a blast. And like I said, you'll have to come back on again.
Oh, I would love you anytime. Let me know. Nice to virtually meet you. I can't wait to meet you guys in person and get drawn.
I know. Oh, it's happening. Us too.
All right. Thanks, girls. Bye. Thank you. Bye.
All right. That wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. We hope you guys enjoyed it.
And like I said, we have very exciting interviews coming up on Monday.
We have Camille Costick with a gronk cameo and Emily Diedanato Sports Illustrated swimsuit models on Monday.
And a little John B update coming after that on the episode after that.
So we hope you guys have a fantastic weekend and we'll talk to you on Monday.
