Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.
You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music.
This is state of emergency.
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne,
giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday.
Hopefully everyone had an amazing start to their week.
We're heading closer to the weekend.
We're creeping our way.
And how are you doing, Francesca?
Wonderful. I'm excited.
The day's another day down, you know.
Really counting down.
Could not be, could not be counting down harder.
As I was getting ready this morning, I remembered that I had a, whoa, did I just send that
moment last week that I never talked about. It happened on Thursday before we were leaving
from L.A. And I never talked about it. And I was meaning to talk about it on Monday. So I'll tell
a quick little story. Thursday morning, wake up.
in LA, 5 a.m. because, you know, your body's on a different clock. And I see my sister texted
my cousin's group chat, which is, you know, me, my sister, and then my two girl cousins,
Elena and Christina, and then my brother and my cousin Stevie. So there's four girls, two guys,
in the chat. And my cousin, Christina, is an esthetician of sorts.
You know, she does the waxing, the brows, the lashes.
She can do it all.
Yeah.
She's amazing at what she does.
My eyebrows are fantastic because of her.
And I, you know, wanted a Brazilian wax before the vacation.
I wanted to get my coochie looking nice.
So I was like, all right, you know, you got to let it grow before you wax it.
Yes.
So Thursday rolls around and my appointment was on Saturday.
So Thursday, my sister text the cousin's group chat.
We have another group chat where it's just the girls.
Right.
5 a.m. open up my eyes.
I'm thinking it's just the girl group chat.
And I text my cousin, well, I text everyone in the group chat.
And I say, Christina, I just have to say I'm truly the coochie monster with how hairy my vagina is right now.
I can't wait for you to wax it.
I fire it off.
I'm like going to go back to bed.
my cousin stevie writes i feel like that was meant for a different chat and i'm like oh my god i just
sent that text to my cousin cdb and my brother like they like i'm like i'm the coochie monster and i i
was like oh my god this story on thursday yeah just so i am hearing it for the second time i was like
oh my god it's 5 a m i just woke up and i thought it was the chat with just the girls because we had just
been talking in that chat a couple days
before. So I was like, I just figured
it was the same one. And
Oh my, I felt so bad
for them. I was like, I can't believe my cousin
and my brother had to deal with reading that. And now
my brother keeps fucking calling me the koochee
monster, which is not fun. That feels
inappropriate. It is.
But like, it's like how, you know
what it mean? You got to make fun of your sister when
she does something like that.
Yeah, it is inappropriate.
But don't make it weird.
No, it's not weird.
But, but, but
But, yeah, so that was embarrassing, and I did not mean to send that.
But I will say it's pristine now.
The appointment came and went.
You're good to go now.
Appointment came and went, and I'm feeling great.
She did a good job.
She did a great job.
But, holy fuck.
It hurts so fucking bad.
I stopped going.
It hurts.
I decided that when the summer ends, I'm going to start laser.
I don't know where or really any other logistic standpoint other than,
every single summer I do have the feeling where starts to get to bathing suit time and I go,
oh, God, I really, I wish.
And that's when I think like, oh, what an laser would be such a good idea?
But you can't start it during the summer.
No, you can't.
So, and I always forget about it.
In the winter, I'm like, oh, whatever, you know, who cares?
Summer rolls around.
I'm like, oh, God, laser would be so nice.
So I decide, you know, summer ends, fall starts.
that's something I'm doing.
I can't take it anymore.
I agree.
It's just the worst.
I will say this though.
I have a really great shaving routine.
Like shaving has never done me wrong.
It has done people wrong.
Terribly.
Shaving has done me great.
Never.
I've never had a problem with shaving.
Razorburn, ingrowns.
That doesn't have.
No, I have it.
I know it's a common thing.
It also grows.
It also is a moot point because like Friday,
I could do it in the morning
be good for Saturday
Sunday morning I wake up
Not good anymore
Not good, not good anymore
All it takes is one fucking day
Right yeah those things grow fast
Yeah
But no I've never had an issue with razors
I don't get like the razor burn all that
I'm jealous of it
But I do and I still
I'm still so lazy that that is the choice I go with
Because I can't like
I used to be on a pretty good waxing schedule
But then it's like
You gotta wait
all that time in between the wax it's so hard when it gets to like week two post wax you're like
well now what do i do i can't just wait another week right that's why i don't wax too often it's yeah
because once i get to like second or third week like i'm shaving but besides the point a good wax is a good
wax so it's pristine it's true so thank you cousin christina um also people may think it's weird
my cousin is waxing my coochie but i keep in the family i would beg to differ because you're either going to
stranger or your loving cousin.
Right.
You know what I mean?
Yep.
And I would prefer my cousin.
Who like it's not weird to be for her to see you naked, you know?
And also I'm somebody who like laughs through the pain and I was cackling because it
hurts so bad.
And like if I started doing that with a rando, they might think I'm crazy.
I sweat so bad.
That's my problem.
Like I always apologize when I get, because you're getting all nervous.
Oh, it's just, you get nervous.
I sweat.
And then like when I'm laying on the table normally like if I'm at a fucking European
Wax Center or something like I'm like late and then I get up and I'm like oh sorry
I'm like can you want me to rip that paper off for you like it's soaking wet like I'll clean it
My cousin was like why don't you play some like coochy music so I was like all right
Let's play some music I played boss ass bitch by Nikki Minaj okay that's what I was going to say
What qualifies is this? Probably anything like Nikki Minaj I would say that's probably anything like Nikki Minaj I would say
That's probably fair.
Is Coochy music?
Magna Stallion.
Yeah, like pop your pussy music.
I would think that you would want
like more calming.
That's a good point.
But getting my coochie wax to John Mayer
just doesn't seem right.
I didn't say John Mayer.
No, it doesn't.
Well, that's my go-to.
Sometimes when you don't have control over
like certain European wax centers
I've been in like have a different vibe
on the playlist.
And like sometimes it's like 2000s throwbacks.
I'm like, oh, this is nice.
Yeah, I can get down with that.
Yeah.
Get me ready for the weekend.
Sometimes it's like,
McCartney Beautiful Soul and it's like, maybe not this one.
Doesn't fit the vibe.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was my woe did I just send that.
And for new listeners, woe did I just send that was a segment we used to do on this podcast where people would send in stories way back when.
Whoa.
Whoa.
Where people would send in their stories of accidental texts because of the time I accidentally send a text to no one friend.
And I don't mean, you know.
Yeah.
Whoa.
Did I just send that?
And honestly, I feel like it's kind of phased out a little bit.
Because now, like, with the iPhone updates and everything,
you can unsend messages and, like, edit messages.
I don't have that feature on my iPhone.
You should?
You definitely do.
To unsend a message.
I think you do.
It'll say edited.
You can say, it's just as edited.
Or on sent.
Let's see.
Like, if you like, I think you just have to hold it down, right?
Hold down.
You can edit it.
I don't have that option.
Well, you have to update the software then.
Oh.
What's your latest iOS?
I just updated the other night, so.
I do not have that option.
Let's see.
What's see what happens if I, you know, if you hit more.
Oh, wait, that's supposed to delete it from the chain.
Yeah, I don't have that.
I don't have it either.
That it shows that you take a picture, like an Instagram DMs or something.
Wait, how come I have the latest update?
What?
I said, I have the latest update.
I can't unsend text.
You can't unsend.
Or edit text.
I think maybe it's only like within the span of like a certain time after you send it.
Oh, let me test.
Yeah.
Oh, wait.
I was looking at a text somebody sent me.
Okay.
Not a text I sent.
Yeah, it says edit.
Oh, yeah.
Undus send.
Wow, there it goes.
It's gone.
It's gone.
That's crazy.
Wow.
So there really is a time.
Except I think that makes you look even more.
I mean, I get, it's better than.
Oh, look.
It says you unsent a message.
Ria may still see the message on devices where the software hasn't been updated.
Dang.
Wait, that's good info for people to know if you think you're unscended messages.
They still see them.
Some people might still see them if they haven't updated their phone.
Wow, that's a little loophole.
Don't update.
Don't update.
Are anti-updates, you know?
It's hold out until your phone starts like glitch.
It just updates on its own.
You know what I mean?
It'll do it in the middle of the night.
We have a big fun thing we're doing.
Yes, we do.
Oh, my God.
Why did I choose to talk about my vagina so much?
We want the Kucci Monster story first.
I totally slept my mind and I started talking about my vagina for 20 minutes.
I'm so sorry.
It's okay.
Yeah, we have something really exciting that we are doing tonight.
Make sure you tune in to Bravo.
Watch what happens live.
9 p.m. Eastern.
You're looking at the two newest bartenders.
Yeah.
I'm pumped. I'm excited.
We are, and it's live, baby.
We had some changes, like our schedule change.
We thought we were going to be doing like a pre-taped one with other people.
Now we're doing the live one.
So it's moved up when everybody can see it.
Because we had kind of brought this up at our last show.
We were like, oh, it's going to be, we told the crowd, like, oh, it's happening.
It's going to be like in July.
Nope, it's happening and it's going to be tonight.
Yes.
And I'm extremely nervous.
Really?
I am very nervous because I went to Watch What Happens Live years ago when Glenn was the bartender.
And Andy threw a question at him, like a mathematical gambling question.
And Glenn had to answer it on the spot.
And I just don't, I don't know what Andy's going to say to us.
Well, you know what.
Thank God.
we are not known as gambling people, you know?
It's not even, like, I'm not nervous we're going to have to do math or anything.
Like, I'm just nervous if he says something and I don't have an answer.
Oh, well, wow.
Which is, doesn't happen often to me.
Rarely happens.
I'm sure we will find something to say.
Yeah, I just, I'm so nervous.
I'm so nervous.
That's why we do things.
I'm freaking out.
That's why we do things together.
You're right.
Because there's always, you know, if you go blank, there's always the other one that's there to.
Right.
It's true.
To save it.
So I think it'll be good.
The bartenders, they don't get talking.
too often. No, we have, you know, we got our
moment, but I'm nervous. Coming back from commercial
break. But I'm nervous, you know, he likes us.
What if he starts, what if he starts wanting to chat
the whole time? In my
head only dream, imagine he just says, ah,
let's, actually, let's switch these people out.
He likes so much. I feel like he's just going to
talk to us the entire show. In my head, let's give these
girls a seat. No, in my head, that's
how I envision this going. We're up there
as bartenders and we just become part of the show,
like yes. Come down to the couch. Yeah,
oh, let's bring out these two.
That's what I, that's my goodness. One could truly only
My dad, so my dad's coming because, as everyone knows, if you listen to the show, my dad's a Bravo fan.
Yeah, he is.
And we were only allowed one studio audience seat.
Yeah.
One person to sit in the audience.
And that is Mike.
Now, my dad was not aware that he wouldn't be sitting with Kelly and Gia.
Yeah.
During the show.
During the show.
So he was like.
Well, what does he?
What would he rather have?
No, no.
He was just so nerp.
He was like, so I'm alone.
And I was like, yeah.
And he was like, like, he had this smile.
He was like, what?
And I'm like, yeah, you're alone.
I said, it's real.
I've seen this space.
It's small.
Like, there's only two rows of audience members.
See, I, he is going to be the perfect person because he also is, he just has such a distinct
voice slash laugh that it's going to be comforting for us.
Like when we go, like he's going to cheer for us.
Yeah.
And then like if we say something funny, he's going to laugh.
I know.
I also just am nervous because he is so opinionated that I'm like, I hope during the, during the show, if they're all talking about something and he doesn't agree that he isn't like audibly yelling things out.
You know what I mean?
Like he's not senile.
He obviously knows how to act.
But, you know, he's an opinionated man.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Who knows?
Maybe somebody throws out a take.
He doesn't like.
He just says boo.
Yeah.
I was like, dad, you have to shut your phone off.
Like not just ringer, shut the whole thing off.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
You are not, because he's addicted to his phone.
I'm like, yeah, the phone is being shut off.
He was upset because we were supposed to do it with other guests.
And he was really excited to meet these guests.
Yeah, yeah, we were, I mean, we were too.
He was really let down.
He was like, are you kidding me?
I was like, I understand if you don't want to come anymore.
He was like, no, I obviously want to.
But he was like, give it to Matt.
Let Matt go.
And I was like, dad.
It's a nice sentiment, buddy.
He doesn't really know.
He knows nothing about Bravo.
And he goes, yeah, I know.
I watch it every day.
Yeah.
Okay, we get it.
We know.
You'll be there.
But it'll be fun.
I'm very nervous, but yeah.
I'm excited.
I'm very excited.
It's going to be fun.
I think so too.
I feel like I'm,
we've been preparing for this for years.
I know it has been, this moment.
It has been years.
This has been on the list for years.
It's funny when you tell people you're going on watching it
happens live. They're like, what? And you're like a bartender.
Yeah. Well, I always lead with
we're going to, I always lead with
bartender. I'll watch it happens live. I like to get
people on their toes. Yeah, it's the bartender.
But no, it's really fun. We're really excited
about that. And it's a great way to
end this crazy month that we've
had with go out with a bang.
Do you have to make any drinks? No,
thank God. I know
John Mayer did when he was there, when he did
the bartender. No, they make them for you. Hopefully
they don't have us, like, walk it over to them, right?
That's not a thing right?
No.
Okay.
No, we just say I'm in the bar.
Smile.
Way and look pretty.
Hey, Andy.
Thanks for having us, boo.
Yeah, that's really it.
You can listen to Chicks in the Office Monday, Wednesday, Fridays.
Yeah.
Okay.
Anyways, let's get into the rest of the show.
We have a great interview with Jennifer Stone and David Deloese from the Wizards of Waverly Pod.
Talking all about Disney Channel, Wisdwayverly Place, getting behind the seats look on that.
We have our bachelor's recap with Kelly, cutting stems, and we have topics.
We're going to be talking about Jennifer Lawrence clearing up the Liam Hemsworth cheating rumors.
Somebody threw their mother's ashes at Pink on stage.
Raquel is not officially signed on for Vanderpump yet, and Alex Earl and Braxton Berrios are apparently dating.
And that has caused quite a conversation.
So let's get into it starting off the topics.

So Jennifer Lawrence cleared up on our favorite show.
Watch Happens Live.
She cleared up the whole cheating thing with Liamsworth, how people think that
Liamsworth cheated on Maya Cyrus with Jennifer Lawrence.
and that's why Miley in the Flowers video
wore a gold dress like Jennifer Lawrence.
She said that's not the case.
Her and Liam did kiss, but it was after they broke up.
And she does not believe that that is a nod to her.
It might be a coincidence,
but she doesn't think that those, that's true.
Yeah, I think that this has sat with the general public
for so long that people are still going to believe what they want to believe, you know.
And despite her being like, no, I'm sure there's Miley,
fans out there that would be like, don't believe you.
Right.
So she did want to clear that up.
And it's not news.
Like we knew that there was that kiss one time, apparently, with Liam and Jennifer, which,
God, they would have been a nice couple, you know?
Obviously, they've all moved on.
She's married and has a child.
But just the idea of that, any co-stars combining in real life.
but combining
combining into real life
just was not the case
for this
the timeline to me
I still don't really understand
but that's mostly because
I felt like Miley and Liam
you never really knew
when they were on or off
I also think that's the case
like people don't necessarily announce
like hey we broke up immediately
or you know people kind of just figure it out
so I think that's why people get confused
and they're like oh this person cheated
and it's like I think they were broken up
but they didn't like scream into the world
they were broken up, you know?
And only they really know the truth, I guess.
Yeah.
And even if Jennifer's mind, like, she could be like, oh, you know, like, they were broken up.
And in Miley's mind, she could be like, we were broken up.
Yeah, I don't.
Still, you know, like on and off.
Yeah, that type of thing.
I think that's probably the case a lot of times.
But I think that Jennifer Lawrence, I don't think she would openly say, talk about
making out Liam Hemsworth if she knew they were together.
Yeah, no, I agree.
Like, she would have cut that to a secret.
It was during Plead the Fifth, so it was like, I mean, granted, anytime you do plead the fifth to a question like that, you just make yourself look guilty.
So obviously she wanted to answer it and clear it up.
And I believe her.
She's been doing a ton of press for no hard feelings, which obviously we've talked about a ton.
And it is very funny and she's great.
But I have really enjoyed watching her interviews.
Like watching happens lab was great.
Hot ones was great.
I was cracking up at her hot ones.
She was dying.
She told Andy she threw up.
right after she was like I've got a hurt just had to had to throw up everywhere I kind of feel like that's
I kind of feel like I would throw up mm-hmm but we did yeah we did this challenge way back when
this is also a major throwback I still have the t-shirt I wear it to bed all the time yeah and
it's funny because we have the t-shirt that says we we ate them and and it's like you did it but
we did we did not buffalo wild wings came in for for for an ad and we we
sat we were in the old merr studio old office and we had to eat their spiciest
hottest buffalo wild wings blazing hot the blazing hot and it was like the blazing hot wing
challenge like that's what people that's what they were doing they were trying to get people
to do the blazing hot wing challenge and so we sat there we're like yeah okay we'll we'll see like we're
both kind of like you know we don't love spicy stuff but like we'll see what happens we took one
bite of that wing.
The challenge was to see how many
wings you could eat. It was so hard. It wasn't
even like eat one wing. It was like
you were supposed to eat multiple weights. I was hyper
ventilating. It was so bad. We took
one bite. We were
crying. Like tears were pouring down my
face. Snot was pouring out of my nose.
We couldn't breathe. No, it was so hot. And it was from one
bite. Are you guys not good with spicy?
I love spicy food. I have gotten
better as I have gotten
older but I am still not I am not a crazy spicy person I love spicy food but that is not to say that
it doesn't affect me like it's still very much burns my mouth and I'm like I need water but I love
the taste of it so it's kind of like a give and take yeah I think like I watch I love watching hot ones
and I do think that you know everybody has that thought like oh how would you do if you were on hot
ones slash like you know people do it themselves they buy them you could buy the sauces do it
yourself. I think I think I'd get to like the fifth one and just be like on my deathbed.
So people react to the debaum. It's just like they're just setting their mouth on fire.
So I probably would be in the camp. Jennifer, she did finish it, but it's like immediately having to go and just throw up.
It's a struggle. It hurts going down. It's got to hurt coming back. Yeah, I was going to say throwing up hot.
Oh, there's nothing worse than that.
You know what I would like to do?
You know how they do the tours of like sets, old sets.
They redo them.
I want them to redo the old merch set and have us like go in it.
Reenact.
Yeah, just reenact.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like I'd like to feel nostalgic for a second and just sit in that old studio, not studio,
it wasn't a studio, merch closet where we filmed videos.
That would be, that would be.
be fun. That would be. We don't own that
office anymore, do we? Remember we
had it for a while? Yeah, and we would go
and film TikTok's in there.
All right, moving on to the next topic.
Just, you know, people can't
stop their own things on stages. I know.
And it's out of control. It's getting more and
crazy. And it's getting weirder and weirder.
This person threw their mother's ashes
on stage to Pink
at a Pink concert.
Why? Why? Why?
I don't care how much that person
loved Pink. You keep those ashes.
to yourself.
And, you know, it was in a little
Ziploc baggy, so maybe it wasn't
all of her mom.
It was just some, you know?
But her mom's in the ashes.
Wee.
I don't know. Maybe, like, as a passing joke,
your mom loves pink, and she's like,
oh, when I go, spread my ashes
at a pink concert.
But, like, sprinkle them on the floor.
Yeah, yeah.
Don't throw them at pink.
But if your mom...
The next step...
Told you.
And give them to pink.
I need, like, when I die,
my ashes need to be on stage.
I start dying.
wish you wouldn't do it for your mom?
I wouldn't throw them on the stage.
No, I wouldn't.
I'm sorry, Mom.
I'm not throwing anything on stage.
Unless it's my broad and ASAP Rocky process.
I don't know.
I'm just kidding.
Yeah.
I wasn't that bold.
I had that opportunity and didn't do it.
She literally had the plastic bag.
She said, is this your mom?
I don't know how I feel about this is what she said before picking it up and placing
the ashes on the edge of the stage.
Is this your mom?
And then she just continued to start to sing just like a pill, the song, you know.
That's a great song.
Yeah, it is a great song.
Pink has a lot of absolute bangers.
I just think it's wildly inappropriate to throw your mother's ashes on stage at a pink concert.
Yeah, okay, wait.
Another Twitter user claimed to know the reason behind the ashes being tossed and alleged,
okay, so my friends were stood near this lady.
And backstory is British, British lingo there.
The black story is her mom couldn't get out much as she was so ill when a
live so this lady takes her ashes places.
So she gets out now.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it gives this woman comfort then that's up to her.
Not for me though.
All right.
So if that's true, it's like the person clearly feels that they are making sure their
mom is going to all these events that she wasn't able to go to.
Which, like I said, it's a nice sentiment in principle.
And you can do that without.
throwing them on stage to the artist
and having her be like
these are your mother's ashes. She's there in spirit
with you. Yeah. Yeah.
The ashes don't need to
hit the stage. That's got to be up there for
pink, I would think. She'll remember that one forever.
It's really getting out of hand.
Do you want to be cremated?
No.
No. I've never really thought about it.
No, put me in the ground there. Yeah, I would like to be
buried. It's a traditional way to go
for us Catholics. Yeah, my
family members are buried.
All next to each other.
Yeah, exactly.
I'd like to.
I want a spot right in there if they could squeeze me in.
Just squeeze me in.
Yeah. In between my grandmas, nice and cozy.
Do you think it's weird, like, when you buy a plot, like, ahead of time, like, for your whole family?
I just feel like it's kind of, like, weird, like, energy.
Not really, because, like, here's where I'm going to be.
Yeah, but that's just, you know, that's just the way life goes.
My thinking is just, like, I do not care.
Like, I'll be gone.
So.
Yeah, but it's, it's, I think it's nice because it's, it's, I think it's nice because it's,
it's a way to elieve that pressure on your loved ones who are sad when you die.
Like it's like, you know, you die and you have nothing planned.
Or, of course, people die unexpectedly.
Yeah, this selfish person didn't even die.
No, but I'm saying for those who are, have, you know, the ability when, if they are older
or they know their time is coming, something like that to say like this is what I want to go
down and this is how, what I want to happen.
And here's where I want to be.
I think that can be sometimes nice for, especially if there are children, if they have it all,
yeah, ready to go.
I agree with that.
Okay, moving on.
That took a morbid term.
It did, and which is why I'm moving on, because I don't like talking about that stuff.

Raquel is not officially signed on for Vanderpump Rules yet.
They do start filming today.
Yeah.
So kind of questionable because I think she's still in this mental health facility,
which makes me happy to hear.
hear. Right.
That she...
You just hope that that is really where she is.
Right. If it is where she is, which I'm going to, I know, you know, not really reliable because
it's hard to believe things they say. But if we're believing that statement that she is in
this mental health facility and has been for over two months now, I'm happy to hear that.
Right. And it doesn't sound like it would be the safest thing for her to come out of that
place right into filming. Yes, I agree with that. I think that she needs to be in a place that's
going to help her. Yeah. So I think that's a good thing if that's where she is right now. Yeah.
It is interesting though to see if she's involved in any way. If she just pops out and goes
at the end of the season. She just pops out and goes right into filming. Yeah. I feel like that just takes
away everything that they were trying to maybe help her with in the mental health facility. Although I know,
I bet if she still wants to be involved, Bravo's going to have her in whatever way she wants, you know.
Because people will watch the shit out of that. So I feel like she, she goes. She goes. I feel like she,
kind of has leverage there to say, you know, even if she does come out of the facility and is
just living a normal life, she can say, hey, I need, I don't want to start filming right away.
Like, I'll come for like the last two weeks of filming.
Or like maybe she does a couple, like, you know, she meets up with Sandoval or she meets up
with whoever, you know.
Because I really do like, you know, I really do think she does have that leverage right now
of, of, because Bravo's going to want her for sure.
I agree with that, which is crazy to think, like, these people could do these things.
And it's like, they get almost...
And she's in charge right now.
They almost get, like, rewarded.
Right, right.
It's like, whatever you want.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, look at, they've been pushing so hard for a goddamn Emmy.
It's like, they're like, clearly they know the ratings are there.
So they're going to try their best to get her back on.
I can imagine Sandval being like, I'm obviously still on the show.
Like, people asking him if he's still going to...
Sanofal's...
I've been on the show for years.
I'm obviously still on it.
Sanival's got the camera crew waiting outside his door.
for the first day of filming.
He's ready to go.
On tour with him going to his concerts.
He's ready to go.
Hopefully we get a good rendition of that.
Yeah.
Last topic, this has been all over TikTok,
is that Alex Earle and Brax and Berrios are dating,
although she responded.
They're seeing each other.
They're casually dating.
Hooked up.
Probably not girlfriend, boyfriend, boyfriend.
Yeah, I don't think they're boyfriend, girlfriend.
I think they're casually hooking up, which is very normal.
People do that.
Yep.
And because she responded to somebody's comment,
and she was like, we're not even, quote, unquote, dating.
It just feels weird not to share this with you guys
because he's in some of the TikToks.
People have seen them out together multiple times now.
If you follow Alex as closely as a lot of people do,
you know that this has been a rumor that's been around for months now
that they've been seeing each other.
And he's in Miami and they go to heat.
Like they've been seen at heat games.
DuMas posted them together.
People have seen them at restaurants.
People have seen them out in Miami all the time for honestly a few months now.
But now this past weekend is when she kind of shared him a lot
more because they took the PJ to the Hamptons and you know they're popping bubbly on the plane you can
see his arm she's jumping into his hug get ready with me and and they're ordering food she's
little little little glimpses and then of course they were at the pomptory festival together so there's
also now videos of them you know dancing together and actually really seeing them being out together so
yeah they think they're you know they're hanging out and hooking up yeah and so there was drama with that
because Sophia Copo dated Braxton Berrios.
And then they split up.
It's kind of confusing what happened.
Like she.
Sophia's alleged that there was extra crooked activity.
Some foul play.
Some foul play happening at the end of their relationship.
And so I think it's confusing.
Like when people don't tell like the full, you know what I mean?
Like because now everyone's like, oh my God, Braxton cheated with Alex.
Right.
And this whole thing.
But like who knows if that's true because that's not exactly what was.
He could have cheated.
They could have broken up
and then he met Alex.
Right.
There's like all the,
you know what I mean?
It's just rumors are flying around.
And so I think that's why Alex is just like,
I don't give a fuck.
Like I'm still going to like date this kid.
Yeah.
I call him kid,
but I don't know.
But I,
and then Sophia deleted her TikToks
because I think she may have realized like,
you know,
you make a text,
you say something in the public
and it doesn't go as planned.
Yeah.
And then you're like,
oh,
wish I just didn't say anything at all.
Yeah.
And she's had to,
I posted a couple comments here and there.
One was kind of alluding to like, oh, here comes all the love bombing and get ready and like look out.
And she wrote a girl's girl kind of thing is like warning sign sort of.
And she also posted like a story on TikTok that was like, I'm good.
Like this is not a big deal.
I'm okay.
But of course, I think anytime somebody does that, the general public normally thinks, well, if you're really good, you don't say you're good.
You know, like, it's like, if it really doesn't bother you, you live your life without saying anything.
You just wouldn't have made any TikTok to general.
Right. You just let it go into the world.
Regardless of what the comment says, if you're commenting on something or commenting back at somebody,
it's taking up energy and it's taking up space in your brain.
You're thinking about it a lot.
I think I find that to be the case because I'm not from, like personally for me, I don't do that.
that really ever.
And when I do, it's really bothering me.
Even no matter, even if my comment is like, ooh, cool girl comment.
Like, if I'm commenting, then I think that means that it's taking up space to my brain.
Right.
So I kind of feel like that's where it's at.
And that's hard.
Like you, this guy, you're in a serious relationship.
He's your boyfriend.
He cheats on you.
You have a messy breakup.
So it seems.
So it seems.
And now he's fucking all over the place.
with TikTok's number one, it girl.
With the most popular girl.
Right.
And like, and she's posting from the private jet and the this and that.
And Alex says I think she's clearly enjoying herself,
but she's showing him like being super romantic and doing all these things.
And like, if I'm Sophie, my blood would be fucking boiling too.
Right.
Yeah.
Like you could see kind of both sides of the situation with that one.
So I don't know.
I think Alex is just having fun.
I feel like this isn't going to be like a serious thing.
Maybe it will be.
Yeah.
Maybe it will turn into a serious thing.
But when she commented back and was like, we're not even dating, I was like, all right, she's, she's having fun with this guy seeing where it goes.
Who knows?
Braxton Barrios also for some background, because people could be like, who the fuck are you guys talking about?
He is an NFL player.
He's on the Dolphins.
He was on the Jets for a long time.
Yep.
And he, honestly, it's like funny because of like the culpo connection a little bit, like sort of has Danny Amandola vibes of like.
Short King is not the proper term because he is tall
but in the relative terms to other NFL players
he is on the smaller side
as like wide receiver
kick returner type vibe
part return type vibe.
Sure. Whatever those words mean. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
But that's just kind of who he is. He was on the Jets for a while
lived in New York now. He's living at Miami. Life jumped right into it
with Miami's biggest star. Right. He's like, I'm on the dolphins
and I just met Alex Earl.
Exactly. I don't know. I don't know what's going on
but it seems like Alex Earl's having fun.
And Sophia, go out there and live your life.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Stop worrying about these people.
Yeah.
Go out there, live your life.
I know.
She could do so much better.
Yeah, like, just get everyone go do their own thing.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
All right, that wraps up the topics for today.
We're going to get into our interview with Jennifer Stone and David Del Louise,
who were a ton of fun and cutting stems.
Yes.

Thank you guys.
The world's most refreshing podcast.
Yes.
I'm very excited.
Look, I'm wearing the shirt.
I know.
Honestly, we figured you would be.
We said we'll be wearing this shirt.
That's Jerry Russo.
You guys get the fucking dish on everything.
I mean, it's amazing.
You guys got to give us the dish.
No, we love.
Well, we're here to dish up.
But what's his name?
The Beverly Hills Housewives.
What's his name again?
Wow.
Beverly Hills Housewives.
Oh, Sandoval.
Are you talking about Vanderpump?
No, the head person of every.
Oh, Andy Cohen.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Holy shit.
You got to sit with Andy Cohen.
God of reality television.
Oh, yeah.
It was unreal.
I know.
We felt that way, sitting with him also.
Are you guys, are you guys Coors Light or Bud Light?
What is your thing?
Coorslight.
Coorslight.
What did you say?
You're prepared.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
And I also have, I have backup shots in my pocket.
Oh, perfect.
Anyone gets a shot.
Good.
I love it.
I mean, I've got to play ketchup.
Jesus.
Yeah.
He'll tell you.
He'll tell you.
I'll take a shot of coffee.
I mean, I literally have my coffee.
I literally dreamt about this.
He's like, look.
Go ahead, David.
Sorry.
I even had a bit planned.
I'm not going to do it.
But I was going to be like, Noah, look, I could take off my shirt.
I would take it off.
You honestly should have.
Listen, we might as well, we might as well, we might as well get started.
Like, I feel like we could just roll right into it because we've been chatting already.
We're here.
with two very special guests.
We are joined by the lovely Jennifer Stone
and David Deloise from the Wizards of Waverly Pod.
David is fully prepared in his substation shirt that we made.
Honestly, when you reached out asking about the shirts,
we were like, are we about to get C&D?
We were like, oh, shit, we're in trouble for this.
We're like, oh, crap.
They got us.
Yeah, they found us, but you were just excited to have the shirt,
and we are so excited to have you guys on today.
And we are excited to be here.
I'm a huge fan of your show.
You guys are just so much fun.
It's funny when you were talking to Taylor-Taylor-Lotner,
you said something like...
You always say his first name twice?
No, what does he say?
His wife is named Taylor.
So they're both Taylor.
Oh, that's true.
No, I, okay, okay.
But he even refers to her as female Taylor.
Yes, girl-tale.
Yeah, girl-time.
You even said to them, now they like every single.
single person in the world has a podcast like us too.
But you do feel like you're visiting with your friends.
Like I've never met you guys, but I feel like we're old friends.
Exactly.
Well, let me also just say that we're big fans of you guys and your show.
Hence why, you know, we're making merch with things that are an ode to your show.
We obviously, like, we're around that age where we completely grew up.
watching Wizards of Waverly Place, one of our favorites.
So to see you guys do a podcast about it is so cool
because everybody just wants that inside look
on what it was like to do those shows
and make those shows.
And I'm sure you guys are asked about it nine million times.
So how did the podcast come to fruition?
How did you guys decide you were going to do it together?
Enter Jenstone.
Well, it all started with Brennan Rooney
and Christy Carlson Romano actually.
Because they're like the heads of Podco, which is, it's a podcast company that like they have a lot of other things too, but they have rewatches and they have things that like are kind of people's like nostalgia, safe space, that kind of space.
And I had done some stuff with Christy with her like throwback kitchen on YouTube.
And so Brennan reached out to me out of the blue and he's like, hey, do you want to do a wizard's rewatch podcast?
And I was like, yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun now that I've had like, sorry, my cat is like,
beating that she has to be involved in like every so if you see the camera go like this
yeah like smack in her head on the side of the thing um but i was like yeah but i don't want to do it
alone like the idea of watching myself by myself and then talking about myself is like a middle
school nightmare for me yeah so i was like who's the person that i that just makes me smile that
makes me laugh that i would want to be talking to for like 106 episodes plus a movie and a special
and deloise was the first person and also the person that's
that never stops talking. That's me. It's true. It's true. I've learned more about like your
IMDB and you directing, I think, from doing these episodes.
It's interesting because I think the fans are interested, you know, I'll say to Jen. So I was working on
CSI, New York, and Gary Seneas, and she's like, okay, I'm d.B. But that's my life.
You know what I mean? I do these things.
But also, I get, I can use shit because like, can we criticize on here?
Yes. Go ahead.
Okay, great. All right.
Shit balls.
It's like that episode of.
curb your enthusiasm with the restaurant.
I don't know if you guys remember that when he's...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, but like for me, like, I, when I love you, I give you shit.
If I'm super polite and nice and refined, then we got, like, we're not cool.
So, like, you know, I give Deloese a bunch of shit because I love him to death.
And I also think you're right, though.
People are very interested.
And I think this is such a great idea because we've been seeing people do the rewatch
podcast.
But, you know, for people who grew up being obsessed with Disney Channel, I think we want
I hear from people who were on the Disney channel and the behind the scenes because you grow up
and you're reading like the the J-14 magazine's integrity, which we did mention with Taylor Lautner
as well. And you're like, there's drama behind the scenes and you want to know what's going on
all the time. I guess my question for both of you is for Jennifer, like, do you feel like that is true
there was drama behind the scenes? And David, for being like the father figure, did you ever feel
the need to like kind of you know get involved or did you just sit back and let the kids do their
thing jenn would you like me to go first or would you like to go first well i'm just going to say
that like because i i often joke and refer to it as disney high because i didn't go to high school right
so i was homeschooled through all of that so um it was it was all of our it was my high school
years and it was so many of the other people on the other shows their high school years and when
we were on it was like sweet life on deck hannah montana sunny with a chance which that became
so random for reasons.
But yeah, so I refer to it as Disney High because all this stuff that happens in high school
happened with all of us where, you know, so-and-so dated so-and-so,
and then that other person got mad when like that, then they later sort of dating the same
person.
And it was all the same crap, but just with a very heightened platform.
So it was kind of like everybody knew your business even more than like normal high school.
Right.
So I refer to it as Disney High all the time for that reason.
And it does happen in high school.
You're right.
This person dates that person, then their friend dates that.
It's high school.
Exactly.
But except it's really elevated.
And especially when we started like Twitter and Instagram were just coming out.
So it was even more elevated than it had ever been.
And you have access to things that no teenager should have access to.
So yeah.
So Disney High was out of control.
But yeah, what was your experience with just trying to like wrangle all of us crazy kids?
Well, in the beginning, I mean, my whole thing was I didn't really want to do a Disney show, a
cable show. I mean, back then it was like you wanted to be on ABC, NBC. You know what I mean? You wanted to
be on a network show. You know, Hannah Montana, I didn't want to come in and be like, hey, I'm the
dad. Don't do that. At the end, like, I told you so. But there was a lot of ensemble stuff that
happened here. I mean, with the thing that that came into my mind when you asked that question was,
yeah, there was drama, you know. Our first season was shot, you know, with no airing. We had an
aired at all. So everybody was totally behaving
themselves and everything was fine. And then
into maybe the second season,
there was a little more of jockeying
for attention and positions
and stuff like that. And, you know,
some of the parents, some of the parents
may be not so happy with
who was placed in where and
where is somebody standing or sitting or
is my son getting the attention
that he needs, you know? So
from behind the scenes,
I'm a fake parent,
but I'm also watching all the jockeying of
position for everybody.
Yeah.
I had an incident.
I had a situation where Jake was fucking with Jennifer right before a take.
And I was like, you know, rolling in and he was, I don't think I've really talked to about
the podcast.
This is new.
This is a new start.
Yes.
I mean, I don't know how many episodes we've done, but you've got to really go, have
I said this?
Yep.
Yep.
So Jake says and starts to mess with Jennifer before we're starting.
And I was like, and I became the dad.
And I was like, no, you're not allowed to do that.
And then Jake went to his dad and he complained.
And then the producers got me and then I got in trouble.
And I was like, what the fuck?
I didn't do anything.
He was being a shit.
Then I went back and I said, you have to rewatch the footage.
Yeah.
Go back and see.
And they were like, oh, yeah, he was doing that.
Some classic teenage boy behavior.
Yeah.
And that's the thing is it's like taking like the Disney high with all of like the dating
and the parties and whatever.
And then also, remember, we have to do a job as well.
So, like, having teenagers being like, oh, yeah, hey, this isn't playtime.
Like, we have to do a job.
Yeah.
So there's a lot of elements to all of that.
I really like that you guys are doing this podcast together, too, because it's two different
perspectives on the same show, which is really cool.
Because, like, with the age difference, it's like, oh, you remember that story way differently
than I do.
And seeing that come together is great.
but I want to ask you guys, too, from the beginning,
how you, what you were doing before
and how you got even cast onto the show.
A massive amount of drugs.
No, wait a minute.
I was sober.
I was sober at the time.
Not anymore.
No, I was, yeah, I was auditioning.
I was doing stuff.
I was doing pilots and this and shows.
And there was a lot happening.
I mean, I've gone back through, you know,
I've been looking through like old memorabilia,
you know, clippings and stuff from the show when it came out and things.
And I had done a lot of pilots and stuff, you know.
And right before the show, I had been divorcing and I was finalizing my divorce,
which was wonderful for me so I could move on.
But the funny thing is, I could bring it right to divorce,
but the exact amount of money that I was making without the Wizards television
show was the exact same amount of money that I was making when I did Wizard.
So I didn't make any more money, but then my wife took me back to court and tried to get more
money.
They just wanted to know how you got to be a part of the show.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I auditioned and then I was on the show.
Yeah.
I'm like, how did we get back to court, Deloese?
Lordy.
It still sticks with him.
It was at the very beginning.
She was coming for the way.
The wizard's money.
32-ish, you know, and I remember, I'll never forget.
She's actually passed away right now, but my agent, I was like, do you think I should do this or not?
She goes, well, you know, when it's over, you'll be about maybe 37, 38.
You can still possibly get another television show.
And I was like, am I ending my career?
Oh, my God.
Is this over?
Am I never going to act again, you know?
So you were 32 when you got.
Listen, math is tough for me.
But that is that is so young, like to be playing a dad.
You know what I mean?
Like you think about it.
You're like, wait a second.
I just thought I'm like, I'm like, almost that old.
That's crazy.
But David had kids really, yeah.
I was 21 when I had my first daughter.
So and Jennifer and Selena and my oldest daughter, Riley, are all the same age.
I think Riley is just about six months younger than you guys.
But I actually had a daughter her age, but David Henry was 17.
So if you did the actual math for Disney, I would have been like 17 when I had David.
Right.
So I was playing older, you know.
But Jen, Jen Stone, what was it like for?
Were you in divorce court?
You know, I'm just now 30.
So that's the next phase of my life, life where I'm in divorce court.
But no, for me, I had I had done a pilot called Bus Life with like Vanessa Hudgens,
Brandon Smith, Moises Arias, like a bunch of people that later Disney liked to find people they liked
and then find a spot for them.
And so I had done this pilot and then they held on to me for like a year.
I couldn't audition for anything else.
I couldn't do anything else.
And then they ended up not picking it up.
But they didn't end up picking it up because this was also like I remember Vanessa
on set being like so I just did this movie my boyfriend's back like it's like a high school and we're like
singing and I'm like that sounds fun whatever I can picture her saying it in that tone like we were on set
and she was talking about this movie she just did and then as they were testing it they're like we're not
going to lock her down to a series this is going to be a huge thing so that made sense but anyway so
they had just finished that year for that and then wizards came up and they wanted me to play the
friend and at the time like I to be really blunt like
Like I was out of money.
Like I always funded myself coming out to L.A. from Texas.
And I was, I was at the point where I was going to have to quit.
And so I said, look, I can't do this as like a reoccurring character.
Like, you guys just don't pay enough money.
I can't.
I like, like, fiscally cannot, you know, do that.
And so they were like, well, then come audition for Alex, which I think was just a trick to get me to come out to L.A.
And auditioned for Harper because then they handed me Harper at the last minute and the rest is history.
It's very
Go ahead.
Sorry, David, go.
No, you, it's your show.
No, no.
I want to hear what you have to say.
Well,
I wanted to ask you guys a question.
You were talking about the Zoe 101,
now Zoe 102, right?
Nice.
And you're like, I'm good.
I'm good.
I don't need this in my life, right?
The idea of it or it's too late
or what were you saying that
that it's like when it's in the ether put it out there don't do it like four years later or something
I think it's I called it a waste of time it was yeah you did um really that case I think it comes from
so much like are everybody's attention spans so short these days and when everybody was calling for that
it was like people need to jump on it needs to be it needs to happen fast and be put out fast
and that's how people say interested because I think with like the whole reboot world
it can be confusing because are you making a reboot for kids
or a reboot for the original audience?
Like I think that's why I mentioned
like Hillary Duff was going to do the Lizzie McGuire remake
and they had disputes on what they really wanted the show to be
because she's like, you know, Lizzie McGuire is an adult now.
Like we don't want it to be the same show
which makes a lot of sense because it's like, you know,
then you have like that's O Raven is back on air
but it's, you know, that's, and that's,
clearly made for kids.
Yeah. I think with something like Wizards,
Jennifer, I saw you guys put out a clip the other day
where you talked about how Selena was approached
to do a spinoff of Alex and Harper
and you don't know how true it is.
And then I saw a bunch of comments being like,
oh, we would love to see Alex and Harper in their 30s.
And I think that is a good idea for a TV show,
but it can't be Disney.
It has to be matured.
It has to be actually them in their 30s,
Which I think one thing about Wizards, though, even when you watch it back now, there was like a little bit of more mature humor at times.
Like, you know what I mean? It was still Disney, but I still look back and think that that was actually funny.
But I think if you were to do a spinoff, it would have to be mature. Like you can't just go back to, you know, the slapstick humor.
Yeah. One, as far as like that having a bit of an edge to it, like that was our showrunner, Peter Murietta, and our.
our writers room. Like our writers were not, we talk about that a lot about how like, I think it's
a trap that people fall into all the time of like, oh, it's just a kid show or it's just a Disney
show or just a Nickelodeon show and not wanting to elevate that genre, you know, whether it's
actors, writers, what have you. And on our, we lucked out, we had a really good team with Wizards
where they were like, we don't just want to make a kid show. We're not going to go for the easy joke.
We're not going to go for the obvious choice. And I agree with you. I, I,
for what I would want to see for the reboot,
I would want to see everybody now.
But I think the tricky part about that,
and I don't know where Disney is now
with how they balance things.
Because I remember then,
they would get upset about the episode
where the band is throwing meat.
Like, they had a problem with that for some reason.
Like, they're like checks and balances
of what they're okay with and what they're not
is so weird sometimes that you're like,
why is that a problem?
That with it being a Disney property,
I don't know now, like, how much we could do, which I think is with the Lizzie McGuire's, like, rebate.
That was part of the issue they had was in your 30s.
You start to have, you know, you guys know, and David does too, because he was 32 when he did the show.
Of like, you know, you don't want to just talk about like, oh, I got detention again.
Like, it's bigger than that.
Like, your world expands and you want to expand with the people who watch the show.
So I would hope for that with a reboot, but I don't know how much Disney would let us.
do as far as that. Even the high school
shows that are made now, whether
it's the Netflix ones or HBO
ones, like whatever it is, they're very
mature now. Very, like, very mature.
I mean somewhere in the middle. I don't need to see
Wizards who really plays in Euphoria.
Like, I don't think anybody was.
100%. But even like...
I don't want to see that. I don't think anybody else.
Totally. I'm just thinking of like
even what I've, you know, Outer Banks or
Netflix, like
what did I just watch?
with Jenna Ortega.
Wednesday.
Like those are like, you know, it's still, it's still high school,
but it is definitely elevated for sure.
So yes, I would have to be somewhere in between.
Yeah, a 12 year old back in the day
and a 12 year old now is very different.
Very different.
Very different.
pulling on record, I don't know if I was 32 then or not.
I'm not.
Nobody fact check this.
But you were, but you were.
in your 30. You were in your early 30s.
Yes.
Yeah, that's all that matters. We're not going to be like, you weren't 32 exactly.
So if we did do a reboot or something, I mean, it's going to be a little tricky because
there's, you know, even just trying to get people on the podcast is that people are busy.
But the.
Are they know?
I don't know, Jen.
I don't know.
Are they busy or do they think they're busy?
You know what?
That's a good question.
You know what?
That is a cool down with my coors like,
Yeah, you just have to chill.
Yeah, I'm ready.
It's time to chill.
Do you guys, do you guys ever, from podcast people to podcast people?
I'm sure you guys have that too.
Oh, 100%.
People get a little big for their britches.
They're like, well, I'm, you know, whatever.
It's such an interesting thing for me.
We've talked about it before.
Yeah, we've had people like cancel on us and stuff and we're just like in front of our face.
Like, really, you know.
Yeah.
It's so hard to sit.
Yeah.
Go ahead, Jen.
No, I was just going to say it's always.
blows my mind because it's always people that you're like but why though like why do you like you know what
I mean like that's the part that blows my mind which I'm like where does his ego come right and you're like is
personal you're like is it us what did we do that's no I've I've learned through acting and through just
life in general that the best thing is just to remember that literally nothing is personal personal
when that guy ghosts you not personal yeah when they don't cast you for whatever not personal
when that patient I hate it not personal when the guys when the guys ghost me I can't say
I know.
Must be tough for you, David.
It's just fucked up.
Who do you really want to come on the pot?
Who do you really want from your show to come on the podcast?
The cast members.
All the cast members.
I mean, look.
You've talked to Selena.
Yeah.
So, Alina took that time.
It was with us.
But here's the thing.
It's like we all looked at it as like an ensemble show.
Totally.
Right?
So it's like to me, yeah, breathe, David.
breed. I feel like you guys are like if Selena Gomez can make the time, why can't
everybody on 100%? Yeah. You know what? Here's the thing. Yeah. Jen, if I may, please,
not about Selena Gomez making the time. It's about you, anyone, making the time to be there
for your friends, for your castmates, for the future of the possible reboot, for whatever.
Just be for yourself even. I think the biggest thing is like, I have no problem. And David and I
have talked about this. And you let me know if you guys feel the same way. But I have no problem
when someone has like, hey, you know what? This personally just doesn't make sense for me.
This is not the choice I want to make right off the bat. That I respect it. I have no problem.
We've had guests where literally they're like, you know what? It just doesn't make sense for me.
I don't want to be that like vulnerable or whatever. And that's, I'm fine with that.
Like I have no, that is your choice. I'm asking you and you say no, I respect that. It's the wishy-washy
of like, I'd love to. Let's revisit this.
Circle back. My people will call your people in two months. Like, yeah. And then when you call in two months, they're like, no, let's circle back again. And I'm like, well, I'm dizzy because we keep going in circles. So it's the wishy-washy bullshit that I think is more off-putting than just saying no. Right. If people were just straight up and said no, that would be totally different because I respect that. Yeah. Then just this like, maybe. And then doing stuff behind our backs and stuff. Like, like, screw that. I totally agree with that. I think that just. Just. Just.
Just in life, I feel like that's a general rule of them.
Like not even...
Life is too short to not be up front.
Right, exactly.
I have another question.
Oh, shit.
I have a question.
David, just have us on your podcast.
We'll rewatch some episodes with you guys.
Listen, I will rewatch at any point.
You go ahead and then I'll ask my question.

Did you both act when you were younger,
or was it just?
It was me.
I've auditioned for a ton of Disney shows.
Right, because that's, and L. Fanning or whatever.
There was a couple of things you were talking about the other day where it was like,
you were her, you were heard.
You know, I just, maybe another time or when you come on our podcast,
I just am curious what that's, what that was like, what it morphed into and when you
were when you were like, okay, I'm not going to do kid acting anymore.
You know what I mean?
Well, honestly, is just rejection all the time.
That's basically what I got.
I did a lot of, well, and I'm sure you can relate to this.
When you're trying to be an actress, you do modeling too.
Like you do the print work because you're trying to be an actress and then the manager
and agents like, well, why don't you do print work on whatever?
So I did a lot of print work, you know, like Cole, Sears, Target, all that stuff
while I was auditioning for TV shows and movies all the time.
And I auditioned for, you know, Ant Farm.
I auditioned for Shake It Up, those shows on Disney.
Yeah.
And it was always, you know how I knew someone was going to be on the show?
It was like you said, they pick the people they like and they use them in different shows.
So China and McLean was on an episode of Hannah Montana.
And I remember.
Yeah, she was on our show too.
Yeah.
And I was like, she's now going to be the star of Ant Farm.
And like you could tell.
And then Bella Thorne and Zendaya with Shake It Up.
But when I was in ninth grade, because I did the child acting starting at 12,
When I was in ninth grade, I auditioned for this movie.
And I had to do like a Russian accent.
It was, I don't know, it was interesting.
And I went in and I did the Russian accent and I killed it.
I don't know why, but I crushed it.
They just made me do this.
And I walked out and I said to my parents, I was like, if I don't get this, like, I'm quitting.
Like, I'm done.
I give up.
I can't keep going.
And then next day, my manager called and was like, she got the part.
And I was like, what?
but then I couldn't do it because I went to a strict Catholic school
and they said if I it started filming my last week of tests and they were like if she
misses these tests then she has to go to summer school and they're like she can't go to
summer school she'll be filming and they're like well then she has to go to public school and
to me I went to private Catholic school my whole life I'm going to have to go to public school
I was like no and so I kind of just like put it to the side while I was in high school
I still did acting classes and like every once in a while I would go on an audition that
my manager sent, but I started getting to that age where it was like, do you play younger? Do you play
older? And then it wasn't until I started interning at Barstool that like I picked up, you know,
being in front of the camera again and all that. But I think everything helped me lead me to this point.
I just entered that age. I'm too young. I'm too old. What was the movie? What was the movie?
I am totally blanking on the name and I usually remember it. But it was, it starred. I'm like,
I'll have to find it after this.
Um, it had a girl who was, she's very well known.
And I am totally blanking on the name right now because I used to have, she's not that
well known.
No, no, she's red hair.
Um, I'm gonna have to text my dad.
He'll remember because he'll never forget this.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
But yeah.
It's not Eddie Redmayneen, is it?
No.
No, it was a guy, guy or?
A girl, a girl with red hair.
It was like a, it was like a, not a Disney movie exactly, but it was one of those like kiddie, like,
type of movies.
You know what I just realized?
What a nice thing that you had that.
You had it.
If you wanted it, it was yours.
You had the brass ring.
It was in your court to make that decision.
What a nice thing.
You know, like when you go to a network
and you're testing against two or three other kids,
that you all can do the job.
You know what I mean?
Like you were, yes, you didn't do that movie,
but what a nice testament to your talent.
Yeah.
And I think after that I kind of was just like,
this isn't meant to be right now,
that I was like, oh, I want to be
then it flipped. I was like, I want to
be a casting director so I can control
these people's destinies.
No, but I think
David, to your point though,
like I think it's always in your control.
And I think that's something like as an actor
you forget is that you have autonomy
and that it's your life and it's your career.
Because I feel like there's so much of
like people pleasing and wanting to do what they're
looking for and like all that kind of stuff.
which is for me like I've gotten to a place for just because I've had to in my life and then I always
encourage other actors to be like no no no this is your performance this is your career this is
your thing so stop giving it away to other people so at any point when you're like this isn't for me
anymore that's your decision to make because it's your life in the first place so I applaud you
for identifying that for yourself and not just like staying in it because it's easy and going
into the unknown of like okay well what has this prepared me for like you mentioned that's
really cool. And when you're just starting high school, I was, like, so into, like,
hang out with my friends at that point. I had been auditioning for so long and felt so,
like, rejected all the time. I was like, I just want to hang out my friends. Just want to be a
normal kid. No, no, not even that because I was like, I just want to party. I just want to enjoy high school.
I just want to drink. Yeah. Right. Exactly. I have a question. That's fair too. I have a question
for you guys. So everyone, you know, talks about how strict Disney is and the contracts and you're
locked into that. When was it up with you guys? Like, was it immediately after Wizard stopped
filming? Were you guys free to do what you want? Like, I'm interested in the logistics of what you
guys were able to do. I'm going to go really quick, Jen. I audition for Grimm and to be the
partner. Sean Hayes and his partner were one of the producers. I was, you know, I had worked out
all the stuff so I could do like the last episode of Wizards. And,
and then go and shoot the beginning of the show,
and I'm on my way to drive there.
My agent, same agent I mentioned earlier, who's not with us,
was like, turn around, we couldn't do the deal.
There was a day, one day overlapped of an insurance day,
not even a film day, that I couldn't do it.
So I did end up going an audition, and I didn't get it,
but it was literally the last day of Wizards
stopped me from doing the show grim,
which was okay.
I got to spend more time with my kids and stuff.
And then, but as soon as Wizards was done,
I was not contractually obligated anymore.
And then we did do the special Alex versus Alex,
which I was not very happy with.
And I tried to negotiate.
And I got a little something,
but Disney's still dead.
Yeah.
No, well, and that's how most of the deals work for people on Disney.
I think for people like Miley or Selena,
they might have more of a 360 deal
is what they usually call it.
But for us, usually it's just a deal where it's based on the show.
So as soon as that show is done, you're done.
You know what I mean?
So they had me from 14 to 18 and then I joke that I like got too old.
So they kicked me out of the club, you know.
But yeah, because literally like the week talking about auditions, thankfully it was after.
And I'm also really thankful that it didn't pan out because it probably would have been too
much too soon for me.
but literally the week after
I think it was it was pretty soon
at like the week or the month after Wizards
I was like down to the last
three or four to
replace Lips girlfriend on shameless
which I go back and I look and I'm like
literally every scene she's like naked
completely and like in some kind
of sex scene or something which is probably
why I did not I mean
who knows why I didn't get the part but one of the
reasons was probably because I was like freshly
18 um
And I think the girl that got it was like in her early 20s and had done that.
And like I had done some of that stuff in my life.
Right.
That would have been a real flip for the for the fans.
We're like, oh, I'll watch what Jen's new project is.
It was quite because I were just remember like signing because it was shameless.
Like you had to sign like literally in the casting room.
You had to sign like, hey, you're okay with like nudity and all this kind of stuff.
You had to sign that like right away.
And the casting room like when you signed in to audition.
And I remember being down to the wire on that one, like pretty soon after Wizards ended being like, well, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
But wow, this is going to be a big like turnaround.
And then seeing what it turned out to be because like I said, that character, which was played by Jane Levy originally was very different once she got recast.
Because it became very like a lot more sexual.
Like every scene was about sex scenes.
I think she even became like a prostitute at some point.
Like it was it was very much a complete 180.
So so yeah, once you're done, you're done.
you're done. You can do whatever. But during those four years or however long the show goes,
like you're pretty limited to what you can do. So that's why most of the time what you see people
doing is just other Disney project. Yeah, I was going to say, you can't even audition for shows
outside the network. Well, you can. We had a cast member who auditioned for a JJ Abrams project
and didn't say anything. I didn't say anything that he was on a Disney show, like just kind of like held
his breath and hoped that they would know. And then got to the very, yeah, yeah, right.
And then got to the very, and I guess took it off his resume.
Like, I don't know what he did.
But he somehow got all the way to the end of that audition process.
And then they couldn't give him to him because Disney wouldn't let him do it.
Right.
So, you know, and it was a pretty big, like I said, it was JJ Abrams.
Super 8.
That's good at that.
Yeah.
That's, uh, audition for that one.
You audition for that.
Yeah, yeah.
And a girl I was very, very close with.
I think I know he were talking about with the guy because a girl I was close with from,
she made it to the end.
And I remember it was like three.
boys and a girl and she posted all the pictures like i'm in california we're all testing which is the
worst yeah i don't want to see that yeah oh my gosh well jen i'm also curious just for you like when
when the show ended and now you know things quiet down a little bit and you actually transitioned
into becoming a nurse which is so cool and i just want to know more about that transition because
I feel like, you know, for those who followed you on social and saw all your stuff,
it was kind of like, I'm a nerd.
Like, you know, we were like, whoa.
What happened in between?
Well, it's so funny because I, there's a lot of people that just don't know how nursing school
works, which is fair.
If you're not a nurse, why would you?
Yeah.
But they're like, she became a nurse because of the pandemic.
And I'm like, this has been cooking for a lot of years.
Nursing school is a long time.
You just snap your fingers and become a nurse.
Yeah, I also don't think a lot of people would sign up to be like, oh, now is what
I still can't get over the timing.
I mean, the timing is absurd.
I did this Christmas movie.
I remember getting the email because I had had some health issues after Wizards.
Like I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 20.
So I had a good two years before like my whole system like shut down.
And so I took a break from acting because I had to, I was in and out of hospitals and
doctors offices just trying to figure out what was going on with me.
And because of that experience, I got the good, the bad, and the ugly of health care.
And so I was already going to school to get my psychology degree because in my family, like, you get a degree.
Like, I was still acting and they were like, that's fine, but you have to have a degree in something.
And so I completely switched gears and changed to nursing because I wanted to understand my body better.
And I wanted to make sure that no other patients had some of the negative experiences that I had.
of feeling unseen or blamed for something that's completely out of their control.
So I graduated December 2019 from nursing school being like, okay, I've taken a break from acting.
I can get back.
I can't wait.
2020 is going to be my year.
I'm going to get back to acting.
And then, of course, you know, the whole world fell apart.
So I was baptized by fire, but I'm a big believer that, you know, timing happens for a reason and your place where you are for a purpose.
Absolutely.
And it's interesting because, and I'm so proud of you, Jen, that you're doing that and that you're helping people. And I always say to Jen, I'm like, I do fun acting stuff. You save people's lives. It's very different. Not to say that you have to do one or the other because Jen does both.
So it's incredible to do both. It really is. It's incredible to be able to do both.
I must be a complete masochist. I don't know. I'm tired.
Seriously. Yeah, I mean, that is a lot on your plate. And now what's it like for you guys? You're doing the podcast.
and you still want to act,
what's like a project that you want to do and get your hands on?
Or is there anything that you would want to make?
Well, I don't know.
If I may, Jen.
I've been rambling.
I don't know how much I still want to act.
It's not fun for me right now.
I mean, I'm too old and I'm too young,
just like you were.
It's like, remember, I mean, being very frank,
memorizing a massive amount of lines for me now
It's a little tricky.
My wife really has to help me and get into my brain somehow.
But I really, for me in my life now, I just really want to live in the country and I want to enjoy my wife and my dog and go on walks and watch out for the bears.
You know, I love doing this podcast with Jen.
I love this and I love, you know, I love talking to people and I love.
I love rewatching myself.
It's a little weird, but I do love going back, you know, kind of reliving these memories.
So which is fun, but I think I'd rather like produce something or do that kind of thing.
But then I'm rambling.
But my friend says to me, do want to produce a movie.
I'm like, oh, that sounds like a lot of work.
I don't want to do that.
I just want to have fun.
You just want to relax and enjoy life.
Do you teach a little bit?
Yes.
Jen and I both teach.
I have an acting studio called AGV, actors giving back.
And we work with kids.
We do a six-week seminar.
We've had literally hundreds and hundreds of kids get agents and managers.
That's awesome.
Whether they're working in the business or not,
we talk to them about getting to know themselves
and anyone who's, you know, I don't know,
younger than 18,
any kind of help about getting out of your skin
or communicating about your feelings and emotions,
I think is great.
So, yeah, we do, we teach the kids.
It's funny, I did that this weekend.
Oh, we saw on the Instagram.
Yeah, and it's really, it's really fun.
You look at my Instagram?
Yeah.
Yeah.
We saw it.
We saw it.
Yes.
What about you, Jen?
For me, like I, again, like I said, I don't think things, I'm a big believer that things happen for a reason.
And so I'm just looking at my love of storytelling and collaborating.
And I loved Wizards because it felt like an ensemble.
And I just look at all the medical shows and things like that out there.
And some of them I love and some of them I watch.
And I'm like, that's not right.
You're doing that wrong.
You know what I mean?
You just committed murder.
that's a idea.
You know what I mean?
But yeah, don't shock every heart rhythm ever or give insulin when they have low blood sugar because that's a felony.
But so for me, like I'm thinking about, you know, writing a show about nurses or health care providers that also like showcases diabetes in a way where it's not like an after school special.
Right.
So I'm looking at it creating and telling stories that has a good ensemble cast because that's what I love.
I love shows like that.
I was just watching the new season of The Bear.
Speaking of what's his name from the same life.
But I love,
I love like good ensemble shows.
Like those are my,
like,
you know,
those are my favorite shows where it's not about one person,
but it's a bunch of people kind of influencing each other
to tell a greater story.
And so I would love to be a part of a medical show that's accurate.
And also features representation as far as,
you know,
different races,
different identities as well as different like chronic conditions.
like type 1 diabetes.
Well, that would be awesome.
Fingers crossed,
you know,
I hope that that is something
that you can make
because that's certainly something
that we would be interested in.
The world would be interested in
because I think,
especially after our last few years,
everybody has at least acted
like they want to learn more about that world
and have accurate depictions
and everybody loves those medical shows.
Yeah.
But also, too, all the doctors get all the love.
The nurses get no love.
That is true.
Because I used to have, like, Gray's Anatomy
on in the background. Whenever I was like studying in nursing school, I swear every nurse was just
like, they're coding and then they like drop a tray. Yeah, yeah, totally. I was like, what?
I was going to say, Gray's Anatomy, great show, but not entirely accurate. No, no. The doctors
have a patient in my life. Right. And I have a lot of friends that are nurses as well. The stories
that I hear from them are crazy. I'm like, that could really be the feel for a story.
But we got to wrap it up with you guys, sadly. But I do want to say you've watched.
so many episodes so far, you're rewatching your show. Has there been any specific character
storyline, your character storylines, that you've really loved rewatching? I'm going to let you go,
Jen, but I just want to clear it by one thing. I do want to still act as a person. Oh my gosh. He
wasn't 32. He still wants to act. He heard that pitch from Jen and was like, that sounds like
a really good show. Do they need any male nurses? He's like, I'm available going into nursing school.
I just want to do a recurring on a sitcom.
That's it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Jen.
No,
but it's true.
And the world needs you on a sitcom.
You're too dang funny,
especially with you.
You are very funny.
David always comes with a bit, for sure.
There's not one episode where he's like,
as we were talking before we started,
he's like,
so I thought of a bit,
but I'm not going to say it.
That's just always,
always deloese.
You would be great on a sitcom.
But for me,
like a storyline that I loved rewatching,
there's a lot that I'm really excited to.
to get to, especially in like the second and third season.
But from what we've watched so far, I've really enjoyed seeing just like the early stages
of Alex and Harper because it makes me think back to like how much we grow in those four years
of high school where like we just rewatch the Tea Party episode not too long ago.
And Harper like she so wants to prove herself to other people and she so wants to be like in with
the crowd.
And I think later on we get to see her be okay to stand alone and be okay to be different.
Because I think Harper is so inherently her own person.
But it was interesting to kind of look back and see that early on, she wanted to fit in a bit more.
And so to watch that kind of like maturation of getting to a place where she's like, you know what?
I'm not like everybody else.
And that's kind of cool.
So it's been interesting to kind of see just sort of like the freshman versions of Alex and Harper.
What about you, David?
Every episode that Jen Stone is in, you know, what's fucking weird is watching an episode?
You're not in.
You're like, what, what were they doing?
Yeah.
It's like you weren't there.
Yeah.
You know, um, what's really interesting.
And there isn't a specific episode that, you know, I always would like, the continued episode.
Selina and I got to dance.
It was so fun, you know, it was a father-daughter moment.
In sitcom, you don't get a lot of real moments.
And in that particular episode, which we haven't re-watched yet, there's a, there's a nice thing there, you know.
But watching yourself, I don't know if you have experienced this.
I mean, you go back and listen to some of the shows that you did in the beginning.
You're like, what the fuck I'm about to say?
What did I just do?
It was like 10 years ago.
So also just the idea of watching it objectively.
So I have my wife who's never watched the show.
So she's watching it for the first time, watching me watch myself, laughing of myself, you know, or cringing.
Yeah.
You know, but it's, it's, sorry.
No, no, go ahead.
No, it's just watching yourself and not knowing what you're going to do, which is really interesting.
I think Sir Lawrence Olivier, they said, do you ever watch your work?
And he said, I usually wait some time in between about, about 10 years.
And I'm like, well, I've done that now.
Yeah, I love that you equate wizards to Sir Lawrence Olivier.
You know what I mean?
I know what I mean.
I know.
It almost feels like another love.
Another lifetime, though, when you watch yourself or listen to yourself from years ago, you're like, who was that? I don't even feel like that was real life. It's kind of freaky. We do that when we're listening or see old videos of ourselves and we're ourselves. Like, you're watching a character. Yeah, you're watching a character. We're like, that's me. I was like, that's how I acted as a person, like really, like me as a human being. And also my voice completely changed. It's very bizarre.
Yeah.
Listen, I know we're doing the wrap up, but if you guys do a live performance, by the way, all of your fans are just the best.
They really are.
They love you.
I want to come to a live performance at one time.
Please do.

We'll come watch them with you.
We will rewind.
I know we weren't on the show.
Time out, everybody.
We are going to measure it out.
We'll know exactly which one we're going to do a rewatch on and we'll do a rewatch with you.

You'll get the fan perspective.

I love that.
