Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners, you can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music.
This is...
What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Thursday.
This podcast is presented you by Francia. You know what Francia is. I know what Francia is.
If you don't know what Franzy is, then that means you don't listen to this show.
And if you don't listen to the show, then I don't like you.
Just kidding.
But as I said, you should know what Franzy is by now.
It's our favorite wine to drink.
You should have been drinking it all summer long.
Six and a half bottles of wine in one box.
That means you don't just get one bottle.
You don't just get two bottles.
The night doesn't end there.
You end at six and a half bottles.
You're going to finish that whole box.
And you know what?
It's so great for, you know, group activities and to be just as the last weekend of summer.
We're going into Labor Day weekend.
This is the end.
I know we hate, it's bittersweet because it's always a great weekend,
but it marks the end of summer, which means you should be drinking Francia this weekend, 100%.
Maybe you're going to the beach, make sure you bring a box with you.
Or maybe you just prefer a little personalized, personal-sized, personal-sized, personal-sized,
Francia, in which case they have little juice boxes.
is in a great little container.
You can take it with you on the go.
And it's fantastic.
It's a little box wine.
You'll love it.
Taste delicious.
So many different varieties.
Any wine you like, they have it.
I recommend the rosé for the weekend.
I'll say that for everyone this weekend.
Get some rosé.
Get some rosé.
It's the last week of summer.
So if you didn't drink it all summer long,
at least drink it for the last week in a summer.
What would be the point not to?
Francesca, Mariana.
Donno, how are you doing from this lovely Wednesday afternoon?
I almost said Sunday, but it's not Sunday.
It's Wednesday.
September 2nd.
Happy birthday of my brother.
Moving on.
Frances, how are you?
HBD, Frankie.
Anyway.
Moving on.
Yeah, it's September.
I'm well, first of all, but it is September, which is crazy.
Like, football is happening.
it's so soon.
It's, you know, there's a little bit of a chill in the air sometimes now.
It's heading into fall.
I do love September.
It's my favorite month.
Your birthday month.
Yes.
Yep.
Not just because of that.
It definitely plays a part.
But it's just my favorite weather month.
And with football and everything, it's great time.
We'll see what that all looks like with COVID involved.
But it'll be interesting.
It just time is so bizarre.
It's, I can't believe it's September.
It feels like it has gone so fast and yet so slow, which is, I just really guess that's how time works, you know?
When you really break down the logistics of time.
Like sometimes it just feels really fast.
And then sometimes it feels really slow.
Well, I had that moment the other day where I just was like, what the fuck?
September? That's disgusting. It was March yesterday. It was like just your birthday. Like,
I don't understand how it's September. August really did, thinking about that. August really did
slip away like a bottle of wine. You know what? It did. And that's fine, because I am feeling
pumped up about the fall. We have some exciting things happening. I can confirm this is a,
this is a breaking news to Fran and Noah, too. We are waiting for a text back. Three episodes will be
coming. Wow. This is news like I like a live. I like a live breaking news just to spice up the podcast.
You also know like it's more work for Noah and he just goes like this silent head nod.
Yes. He can't see me but he just went with one like smirking silent head nod like okay.
Oh, he's like oh shit. But you know what? I just wanted to pump everybody up. The Bachelorette is coming back.
And we mean business this season. We do. We have some things planned. We're not even
get to tell you yet. But you guys are going to be so pumped up for the Bachelorette season,
like it's football season. No joke. It is our sports as well as sports at the same time. But you know what?
This is our season for Ticks in the Office. And we're really excited. Some great things are
happening. Definitely. I'm super pumped about three episodes a week. It'll be Monday, Wednesday,
Friday, especially with the Bachelorette coming back. You know, episodes will be Tuesday nights,
which means you're getting a full recap on Wednesday.
And I'm excited to kind of space that out a little bit.
I think sometimes we want to fit so much in a show.
And we're like, oops, this episode's two and a half hours.
Right.
Especially when we start talking about The Bachelorette again.
So three episodes is going to be great.
And like we said, Rhea, before we started the show, Friday Energy,
on a Friday, on a real life Friday.
I want to give credit to Noah for that because he's the one who said you guys would actually be giving Friday energy on a Friday.
And so thank you for reminding us that, Noah.
And it is about damn time.
Like Fran said, you're going to get us at our prime, but also at our worst.
We're going to be, the show's going to end.
We're going to meet Trent and Fran.
We're all going to watch the show together at the office.
And then when it's done, we are going to record a recap.
It's going to be our initial thoughts.
We may be a little tipsy say we've been drinking some wine during the show.
Who knows what's going to happen?
Yep.
And then you get the recap right after the episode the next day.
You know that we've had to wait in the past Thursdays.
We would have to wait until Thursday.
No, you're getting it the next day.
So I'm really excited for that.
And some other really cool things happening.
Don't want to say yet what it is.
Got some things in the pipeline, as they say.
Yep.
Need you guys to stay on your toes.
Never know what's coming.
But things are picking back up and it's feeling good.
Yeah, definitely.
Ria, you had something you wanted to mention.
I believe it's dog-related.
It is dog-related.
Okay.
I have a question for you.
Okay.
You do know dogs get boners, correct?
Yes.
I've never really had to witness that because I've only had female dogs in my life.
But yes.
I would just like to say my dog gets a boner, like,
Every 10 seconds.
Noah's dog, super horny.
If anyone is not following Murray on Instagram, you should be following him now.
If you rub Murray's back, he's going to get a boner.
That just made me.
And it's big.
Is Murray, does Murray still have his manhood?
Yes, he does.
I'm a big proponent for him to keep it too.
I feel like that definitely plays a part in that.
Yes.
Noah, I'm so happy you said that because you made me feel a hundred times more comfortable
to say what I'm about to say. And it's that Norman had a huge boner when I came home today.
It was, it was ginormous, honestly. It almost poked my eye out and I was repulsed.
I learned, you know, I had a boy dog growing up, but I never witnessed, first of all,
I was very young when we got him. I was like eight years.
old. So I don't remember much about those early years with my dog, mainly because he didn't like
anyone, but that's besides the point. So I don't remember ever seeing his boner. So then when I was with
Trent and Robbie, they were like, have you seen the red rocket yet? And I was like, what is the
red rocket? And they were like, you don't know what a red rocket is? I was like, no. I've never heard of
it. It's called the red rocket. Yeah. And they were like, it's when the dog gets a boner.
You're going to see Norman get a boner.
And that news shocked me, and it took me a little while to digest that.
And let me tell you, I saw it today.
I saw it full-blown.
At least it doesn't happen as much as it does for big old Murray over there.
Yeah, I mean, it seems like Murray is horned up at all times.
I have to, like, crop photos when I take it of him to, like, crop it out.
Because I'm like, this is just too graphic.
Now I know why your mom censors his underwregions in his Instagram phone.
Murray's like a walking Viagra.
It sounds like that dog is just hard at all times.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Poor Murray, but also good for him, like you said.
Yeah, good for him.
Yeah, it's a good sense.
And Norman, you know.
It's just weird because, no, I'm not going to say it.
But yeah, yeah, it's just weird because I'm like, oh, my God, I'm walking into the room.
And Norman's getting a bone.
owner. Like, it's just, it's, it's hard to digest. Even though I know it doesn't mean that they're
horny, they're just, right. A boner for a dog means they're just excited. They may be a little horny,
definitely. I mean, dogs get horny. They want to have a little sex too. But it's more excitement.
I read that. Right. Just way more the dog gets excited. It's just like kind of crossing the animal
human boundary a little bit, you know? Yeah. I'm like, I like it better when you're just an, like an animal.
and I'm just a human.
And now you're getting boners.
And I feel like you're a human guy.
And it is what it is.
It's so funny.
That's been a major reason of why, like, my family has always gotten female dogs.
Really?
Because of their partners?
No, not because of that.
Well, I mean, there's plenty of issues.
My dad has always thought that, you know, male dogs can be a little bit more aggressive,
which, you know, is stereotypical man stereotypes.
but which can totally be untrue.
And it's also because my mom likes smaller dogs.
And, you know, like with different breeds of dogs and whatnot,
like the male dogs get to be sometimes a bigger size than the female dogs do.
So that's, they've always wanted the smaller dog.
Women in empowerment.
When they get a boner on the beach and it like gets sandy,
and then it goes down.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
You know, this is...
Murray gets like U.T.I.
because he's got to look sands in his peepee.
This was more...
This was more than re-expected when she brought this up.
I did not expect Noah to say his dog gets raging boners.
I felt...
You know what?
Stop shaming dog boners.
I'm not ashamed.
No, no, I'm not telling you.
I'm saying that should just be like a thing.
That's just shame dog bone.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And, you know,
I did feel a little bad when he was like running on top of me and like jumping and I saw his
boner and I put him down.
I walked the other way and I literally had to like excuse myself from the room.
And then I thought to myself, I was like, you know what?
That's that's really a shameful thing you did, Maria.
Like as your parent, as his parent, you are shaming him for a natural bodily function that
he can't control.
He cannot control his boner.
So why should I shame him?
Yeah.
And I can tell they get self-conscious.
Like, yes, I felt bad. I was like, oh, Norman, it's okay. It's okay.
Look at him behind me. He's sleeping like a mother freaking angel. I can't even take it. He looks so cute.
He's dreaming about the boner he got her. Well, we definitely, we definitely might have hit an all-time high on the amount of boners used in an episode today. Way too many today. We've been talking about boners specifically. We don't even talk about sex. We just talk about the actors, boners, dogs.
boners.
Yeah.
We just, we like the pre, you know.
Yeah.
We like to be getting horned up part.
Okay.
Moving on to our pop culture podcast.
Oh, wait.
I do want to say because we were very excited to announce that, you know,
three episodes will be coming soon.
There won't be an episode on Monta.
It is Labor Day.
You know, we have the day off where we're going to be taken advantage of that.
so thank you all and we will see you a week from today a new episode on Thursday.
Yeah.
Okay, now you may get into the topics.
But we make up for it because three episodes are coming.
Yeah, we're about to, in October, we're about to go triple.
Nobody thinks September.
It's coming October, Monday, October 12th.
Yeah, like around the time the Bachelorette starts.
Yes, so the 14th will be the first Wednesday episode.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's get into today's topic.
We will be talking about the Dancing with the Stars cast was released,
and honestly some shocking names were on this list.
You're going to want to hear it.
Becca and Garrett from The Bachelorette officially announced their split.
Francesca from Too Hot to Handle was seen out with another person.
Bachelor, oh, can't speak.
Bachelorette alum Jeff Holm, who was engaged to Emily Maynard.
Yeah.
Lala Kent is pregnant.
and Jacob Lardy spotted out with a new girl
who goes by the name of Kyah Gerber, not Zendaya.
Scandalous. So let's get into it. Wait, no, just kidding.
We're not getting into it yet, guys. Fooled you.
We have an interview with Ava Max, singer.
You guys know her from the song, Sweet But Psycho.
Noah played a little bit.
Okay, perfect.
Now it's got to be stuck in my head. Okay.
Starting off with the dancer with the stars cast.
Finally, we have the Dancing with the Stars cast.
Every celebrity has been revealed.
I mean, we're only two weeks away, folks, from the new season.
So let's talk about the stars.
We already know we got Caitlin Bristow.
We already know we got AJ from the Backstreet Boys.
That was announced as well, I think, right?
Or we already knew that, that.
So, and then there were some rumors, and this is now confirmed.
Carol Paskin, Nellie, Croshell Stouse, Jesse Metcalf, Monica Aldama.
I'm probably saying her name wrong.
Charles Oakley, Sky Jackson, Vernon Davis, Ann Heck, Johnny Weir, Jeannie Mae.
My?
I don't know.
Sorry, Jeannie.
I just watched you host the C-S-To-Kee reunion.
It's fucked up.
Neve Shulman, Justina Machado.
Neve.
Neve? Did I say Nev?
Yeah.
Oh, I do know that it's Neve.
Sorry. That's the one of you call out.
No, no, I do.
And I know it's Neve, and I still said it wrong.
So that is the full cast.
So let's start from the beginning.
Carol Baskin. We kind of knew that this one was coming.
There was some rumors.
I'm rooting so hard against her.
So hard.
I want her to lose right away badly.
Right away.
Because this is what's going to happen.
And I have a bad feeling.
Everybody knows how I feel about
Dancing with the Stars and their voting process.
If America keeps Carol Baskin
for multiple weeks and she's so bad,
I'm going to be so pissed.
Like if Carol Baskin goes home,
I mean, like, if Caitlin goes home before Carol Baskin,
I riot.
I don't know what else there is to do.
Oh.
I will 100% riot.
I'll spend an hour finding ways to shit on dancing with the stars.
We'll sit here, we'll go back and forth for an hour.
If Carol Baskin stays longer than Caitlin Bressel, so mark my words.
Yep.
Carol Baskin does not deserve to be on dancing with the stars.
Could we just talk about the fact that she may or may not have murdered her husband?
Right.
Like, why are we letting, like, I don't.
don't understand. Yeah, I know. I don't understand. I don't understand. I'm with you. I truly, like,
obviously, Tiger King was such a huge phenomenon, but I, like, looking back on it now, I just
wanted to stay as like, hey, remember that show we all watched for, like, one month of quarantine?
And then we just never hear from most people ever again. It was like one week. Yeah. It was, it didn't
take that long to watch. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't even watch the whole thing. I was like,
I don't even want anything to do with their show at this point because it was so overkill.
I know. And I now hate Carol Baskin. I just want, like, I don't even know where, I got to be
honest, I didn't even know I had this feeling towards her until we started recording this very second.
I'm, look, I'm with you. I'm expecting her to be in some kind of tiger outfit for the first
dance and then I hope she gets sent home. I feel bad for whoever.
ever gets partnered up with her. We haven't, I have not seen,
everybody's partner hasn't been announced yet. So we'll see who that is when,
when that comes out. Nelly, shocking, shocking addition to Dance with the Stars is Nelly.
I'm pretty excited for Nellie. I'm not going to lie. I am also excited for Nellie because
Nellie's great. Yeah. But Trent brought up a great point in the group chat and he said,
The fact that Nellie is on the same show, on the same stage as Carol Baskin,
right.
It's almost a sin.
It's pretty disgraceful, I have to say.
Because Nellie, we're talking about Nellie, okay?
I don't even need to explain who that is.
No.
Carol Baskin on the same playing field, it's despicable.
Now, Nellie did sign up for it, and he did agree,
and it's something he wants to do.
So, you know, good for him.
But it's one of those things that it's just going to be very annoying
if someone as talented as Nelly goes home before Carol Baskin does.
I don't think that's going to be the case.
Obviously, we know, you know, he's talented.
People are going to vote for him.
He's fucking Nelly.
But it all goes that to Carl Baskin being on the show.
Yeah, it does, but also.
He brings down everybody by like 100 points.
And, you know, I've,
You don't know, I don't think, obviously, you know who's going to be part of the cast when you sign up to do the show.
But you got to look at seasons past and know what happens with the group of people that, you know, that they normally pick from.
So, Nellie, he knows what he's signing up for.
He's ready to dance.
He's ready to compete.
I'm excited to see it.
I feel like it's going to be sexual.
Like, I feel like his dances are going to be sexual in some way.
Like, if we get a little hot in here, a little, you know.
Yeah, as they should be.
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Chrisel.
Chrisel from Selling Sunset, the ex of Justin Hartley.
She is capitalizing on her fame right now, dancing with the stars.
I'm excited for her.
I feel like this is a fun journey.
She's on a fun journey.
It's like, this is one of those things where it's like,
if you get offered something right now, you just say yes.
Like she gets offered dancing with the stars, you just say yes.
I don't know if it's because I'm in a mood.
I don't know what it is.
You're just ready to roast every single one of them?
I am in a roasting mood today.
And it comes from love because I could say a nice thing about every person.
And we like Rochelle.
And I like Rochelle a lot.
I talk about it on Selling Sunset.
I just, I'm in the mood to roast.
And there is nothing more classic.
than a new divorce divorcee.
That's not the.
Dvorse.
That came out.
Dvorso.
Dvorce.
I didn't know if I wanted to say divorcee or divorcee.
Dvorse.
There is nothing more classic than a Dvorse joining the cast of dancing with the stars in the middle of a high profile breakup.
Yep.
It just writes itself. That's why I'm laughing because it's just so cliche, just thinking about the whole
scenario. She's like, I'm becoming my own woman and I'm going on dancing with the stars, which good for
you. She's going to learn some great skill, probably get a great partner. It'll be a great thing for it. But the
cliche of it is making me laugh. Definitely. Then we have Jesse Metcalfe, John Tucker himself.
Also, another one. As you're going to say, it's another one where like, you know, close the chat.
of his life. We just saw him go through a breakup. We didn't know if there was some kind of cheating
situation with that. I think his ex Cara now has a new boyfriend. I think. I'm not positive. I think
I saw some Instagram post about that recently. And now he's on Dance with Stars.
Hilarious. Truly hilarious. He is no John Tucker anymore, I'll say.
I agree with you. But I also think.
like the second he takes his shirt off in a dance, I'm going to be like, let's go John Tucker.
Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. I don't know. I don't like his vibes. He does kind of,
yeah, I mean, he has John Tucker vibes. Yeah, he has, but John Tucker is better in the movie. He's better
as a fictional character that you can admire from afar. When you realize that he may be that way,
it's like a real life, John Tucker, then it's like, ugh. He also played the same part basically
in Desperate Housewives. Yeah. Like,
it's like okay
this is just who you are as a person now
I don't know I prefer John Tucker
but good for him yep
Monica
our beloved head coach of Navarro
cheer yes
I'm really excited for her I hope she does
really well I hope Jerry is
in the front row oh god
can they have
can they even have an audience
probably not I don't even think about that
I'm pumped for Monica
that this is the one that I
besides Caitlin Bristow, I'm rooting hard for Monica.
Yeah, me too.
I feel like it's a perfect thing for her.
She's a competitor.
She knows the moves.
I don't think this is not something I laugh at.
This is unlike she's ready to compete.
Me too.
And like I said, I'm assuming there can't be people there,
but like, if it gets some motivation from Jerry
or the rest of the, you know, the Navarachir squad,
that would be fantastic.
And then obviously we have our sports.
They always get a couple, you know, athletes.
in the mix. So we have Charles Oakley. Obviously, you know, big name basketball player,
if you don't know, he's been on plenty of teams. He's known for kind of being like,
I don't, like, you know, I would say, you know, very aggressive player. You know, he got in a fight
with James Dolan recently at the garden. You know, they said that he was kicked out. A whole big thing,
Charles Oakley. Do you think he will bring his aggressiveness in sports to the dancing,
battlefield. I sure think he will, and I sure think every video package that he makes is going to be
centered around that exact conversation. Can I just show you my notebook right now? Yeah.
This is what I've been doing this whole time. Just writing Carol Baskin's name, you psycho,
are you a murderer? It's like, Rhea has written Carol Baskin's name and script on her notebook like
12 times while we've been talking.
I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know. Ready to take her out. Okay.
I wrote her name once and I realized it looked pretty in script and then I kept writing it.
Yeah. And then another athlete is Vernon Davis. You know, he is a tight end, very well-known
tight end and he will be competing as well. They always have an ex-NFL player of some kind
playing. So now we got Vernon Davis. This
I was very surprised and happy about not Vernon Davis.
Not Vernon Davis's next person.
Sky Jackson. I love Sky Jackson.
Me too. This was another one. Same with Monica where I literally did a fist pump.
I was like, yes, Sky Jackson. I love her.
I think that she is sassy in all the best ways. I think she's gorgeous and I'm really excited to watch her dance.
I feel like that she probably has some great hidden moves in there.
I know. Agreed. I think she is.
is awesome. I love Sky. I think she's going to be fantastic. And then we have Anne Heck,
who, you know, she's an actress. I don't really know too much of the things that she's been in,
except for, you know, she was like a police sergeant chief on the last couple seasons of Chicago
Pee T. Oh. Oh. So if anybody,
I don't watch.
Which is why it was so funny
Because I was looking at pictures of her
And, you know, she looks like
Holly from the office,
but it's not Holly from the office.
Like, I, it's actually kind of frightening
when you look at Holly from the office next to
Anne Heck. They look very
creepily similar. It's like
kind of kind of freaky.
And I guess Anne is also
very well known because she
dated Ellen DeGeneres back in the day.
Yeah, I don't really know
who these people are. I have to be completely honest.
No, I had to Google her.
Yeah, I was unaware too. And then of course
when I saw Chicago PD, I was like, oh, I know she is.
Okay. And then there is Johnny Ware
who, you know, ice skater, fantastic.
I'm sure he's going to be amazing on the
on the dance floor.
him. Yeah, I thought that too. I like when our skaters go on. I feel like it's a similar vibe.
Mm-hmm. Absolutely. You know, figure skater. Then we have Jeannie. Like I said, you know, she's a TV host.
Jeannie's going to be fantastic. She is on the reel with the, you know, that panel of women.
She's done stuff for entertainment tonight. And like I said, before, she just hosted the Ciesceke reunion.
If you watch that, she was the host. She will also be on this season. When
When I see people like Jeannie, who has, who've been, like, grinding at their career for a long time,
and I respect their careers and, like, feel like that is very much in the realm of, like,
what I had always wanted to do growing up, I'm like, you know what?
Maybe in 10 years, I could be on Dancing with the Stars.
You can be.
That's, all you have to do is speak that into existence.
distance. It's like one day, I will be on Dancing with the Stars.
I know. It will happen.
I'm just, who knows? Wow.
Genie's engaged to Gizi, the rapper. I didn't know that.
Oh, I actually did know that. Yeah. Okay. Now it's making more sense.
Yes. Um, Neve up next, our guy Neve from Catfish.
He will be on as well.
You have something to say about Neve?
I do, actually.
I have never looked at Neve the same ever since he was in the office and he left.
And then he came back and was like, excuse me, are you Rhea?
And I was like, yes.
Why, Neve Shultman, I am Ria.
And he was like trying to set me up with his cousin.
Yeah.
And I don't think I was there for this.
No, you weren't there.
And it was funny.
I do remember hearing this story.
It was in the middle of a live stream.
Like, they were live streaming from the part of my take Instagram.
And, like, it was caught on camera.
And everyone was just like, oh, Hank.
It was, it was awkward.
So that's what I think of when I think of Eve Shulman now is him trying to set me up with his cousin.
Yep.
Well, now we'll be watching him compete for the mirror ball.
And then, you know, last but not least, we have just, uh, Justina Machado, also an actress.
she is um she was on one day at a time and she was also on jane the virgin fantastic store uh fantastic show
and she's also been on a bunch of other bunch of other tv shows so all in all i'm pretty excited
for this cast i'm not going to lie i'm looking forward to seeing who everybody's partnered with
i really hope that katelyn has either alan or artem i really hope
Yeah, I hope that she gets paired up with somebody good, obviously. They're all great, but yeah, there are some favorites. And I think that she's going to go far. I think that Caitlin has it in her. I think she has been trading her ass off. Exactly. I think that she's going to go far. And like I said, if she doesn't go further than Carol Baskin, we will do a whole episode about how much we dislike dancing with the stars. If Carol Baskin, no, we need to make, we need to make a rule right now.
Okay.
What week is too far for Kyle Baskin?
Like, what week do we cut it off and say, you know what?
Carol Baskin has gone way too far.
We now need to shit on Dancing with the Stars.
Four.
Okay.
Okay.
I think if she makes it past, if she makes it past week four.
So she can make week four, but on the week four elimination show, she must go home.
Okay.
Like, I think week four.
Week four is the farther she's allowed to be.
Okay.
So we're watching week four elimination and Kyle Baskin makes it through.
The next day, we get on the pod and we got a problem.
We have a huge problem.
Yeah, massive, massive problem.
Okay, lock it in.
Yeah, it's locked.
If she makes it past week four, we got a major problem.
Huge.
Dancing with the Stars does not want to deal with us.
They do not want to deal with us if she makes it past week four.
no, they do not.
My, my, my, the wrath will be pouring out of me.
But other than that, super excited.
Can't wait to watch.
Do you love to shop?
Or was that a stupid question?
Because we all love to shop, especially right now.
We're all online, scrolling Instagram, seeing those ads pop up, or you're on your
laptop and you're just like, let me go on every single website that I've ever known
and start shopping unnecessarily.
That's what I do every single day.
I'm just like shopping online.
I can't help myself.
But you know what helps me?
Honey.
Honey helps me save money when I shop online.
And it makes shopping online even better
because it's the free online shopping tool
that saves you money online.
Honey automatically finds the best promo codes
and applies them to your cart.
Imagine your shopping on one of your favorite websites,
whatever it is.
Say Macy's.
You know, we like Macy's.
revolve, Sephora, whatever it is. Etsy, if you're like a crafty person, you want to get some cool things on Etsy.
You can even be on Etsy and honey will save you money. When you check out, this little box drops down and all you have to do is click apply coupons.
You wait a few seconds for it to scan for every promo code on the internet and then bam, you'll watch the prices drop.
And like I said, not just those places I mentioned. It's literally all the websites you shop at you can save with honey.
Honey has saved me money when I'm shopping.
Like I said, sometimes I'll be on Revolve.
I know recently I bought something and I ended up saving tons of money.
I bought a new leather coat for the fall.
I'm really excited about it.
But I saved money thanks to Honey.
Honey has found it's over 17 million members, over $2 billion in savings.
That's a lot of money, guys.
So why are you not using it?
It's completely free.
And like I said, it's going to save you money.
So it's literally passing up free money if you if you just look at it like that.

It has been reported that Lala Kent from Banderpump Rules is pregnant with her first child
with her fiancee Randall Emmett.
Congrats, Wala.
We're super happy for her.
She's been going through a lot.
We know that they had to postpone their wedding that was supposed to be in April.
And she, I just feel like she's wanted to start a family for a while.
She said on her podcast, you know, that's how she announced her pregnancy.
She said that she was shaking because she couldn't believe it's a real life thing on her new episode.
She's really emotional and that, you know, they reveal that she's pregnant.
She's that she cries about everything.
but that today is happy tears.
And, oh, she announced on her birthday.
I did not realize that.
In honor for her birthday, she turned 30,
and she said that she could not wait to announce
that she had the best gift given to her.
Her body also helped her out on that.
She is pregnant.
So she and Randall are expecting a baby.
And I'm happy.
I feel like we have seen a lot of quarantine babies.
We have. And I also feel like we've seen Lala grow up.
Like we watched Lala go through it all.
And, you know, a while ago I would have said,
eh, not sure it's the best idea for Lala to have a child.
But right now she seems like she seems like she's in a great place.
She seems like she has a good relationship with Randall.
It seems like they're happy together.
They were supposed to get married.
Obviously, that got postponed.
And they're having a baby.
And if that makes them happy, it makes them happy.
And I'm sure it does.
I don't think, you know,
they would be doing this if it didn't make them happy.
So I'm happy for Lala.
And I feel like it's kind of, you know,
the next step in everybody in Vanderpump's lives.
You know, we never,
we don't know what's going on with the show now
because people were kicked off and people were canceled.
And, you know, who's allowed on the show anymore and who's not?
Maybe it will be a whole revamped show with all new people,
all new, all new waitress and waiters because they don't even work
at the restaurants anymore, you know?
Yeah.
So I think, you know, Stasi, she's having a baby.
Lala, she's having a baby.
Sheena just moved in with her boyfriend, you know, big step for Sheena.
Yeah.
Because we've seen her date around for a little bit now ever since she's been divorced.
And, you know, Jacks and Brittany, they're married.
So I feel like everyone's growing up.
I'm happy for them.
I feel like it's time for a new group of people.
I feel like let's get fresh faces in there and let's have, let's have Vanderpump rules with.
Right.
Just start over.
you know, it's different people.
People will still watch.
The drama will still be there.
Have them work at the restaurants.
Yeah.
And it'll be the same cycle.
I know.
You know, keep some of the old people, show them, but, you know.
Yeah.
I hope they can figure it out because I think one of the reasons why Vanderpump worked so well in the
beginning is that like they really did all work there.
And they really were all friends.
And now it seems like the way they pick people to be on.
the show, it's not like that anymore.
You know, like, Dana's not actually working in any of these restaurants.
So it's, it has like more of a fakeness to it now that it didn't have at the beginning.
So we'll see if they can, if they can revamp it.
I think they can.
I hope they can.
I also wanted to say on the topic just of quarantine babies really quickly.
Emma Roberts posted these pregnancy photos that are so beautiful.
Like, everybody is having babies and they're looking amazing.
Like, between Gigi's photos, like, Emma looks so stunning.
She, her, she's, I mean, it's the most cliche thing you can say, right?
She's glowing, but she just looks so beautiful.
And it's still hard for me to wrap my brain around.
fact that she's having a baby with Garrett, uh, Garrett Headlin. Like, he is in these pictures
with her and I'm just like, how did like, when did this happen? How did like, I just always think
of Emma Roberts and Evan Peters and I know that, you know, that's what everybody thinks because
they have that long relationship. But now it's Garrett and it's a change. I feel the same way. I thought
that she'd always end up with Evan Peters, even though they had an on and off relationship.
Didn't seem like it was healthy, though, so maybe it's better off this way. And I'm happy for
Emma Roberts. I'm happy for everyone all around who's having a baby right now. Agreed.
I will not be having one, but, you know, they bring great joy to people who have them and want them.
100%. And just a lot of great quarantine babies are coming.
shocking news for everybody who thought Jacob Lardy was dating Tommy Dorfman last week or Zendaya,
whichever you thought.
He was spotted out with Kyah Gerber.
They were leaving Nobu together in Malibu.
Of course, the coveted Hollywood hotspot of Nobu.
I want to get there, but, you know, I'm not famous.
They were spotted out there.
And sources are saying that they, you know, it's nothing serious right now.
Jacob is interested in Kaya.
Kaya's family adores Jacob,
you know, all the typical things that you hear
when a couple's first spotted out together.
But they're not saying they're a couple yet.
They're just hanging out, but I'm rooting for them.
But I am also shocked that he's not dating Zendaya.
When did this happen?
It must have happened in quarantine.
So who knows?
Yeah.
Yeah.
We talked about this a little bit last episode, right?
Where we were like, there were some rumors about him
and Kaya Gerber.
We didn't know.
Now, obviously, they're seen hanging out.
this article comes out,
like you said, Ria, and
it does kind of seem like the
first step in
some kind of dating
situation. It's like
the classic, oh, sources say they're
just friends, and then in two
weeks sources are going to say that it's actually
a relationship, you know?
So it's very possible,
especially with this source
claiming that
Jacob definitely has
interest in dating Kaya, but there's
nothing serious going on right now.
And like I said last week, or last episode,
if Jacob is going back to filming Euphoria right now,
who knows what could happen?
Who knows?
You can be spending more time with Zendaya.
Maybe it'll go back that way.
But another case of two beautiful people going to Nobu together.
You bring up the point about them getting back to filming Euphoria,
but Zendaya and Jacob Ellardy are not a couple in Euphoria.
So that, you know, that kind of removes that situation and it won't force him to, you know, work with another ex in that way.
They're not like making out on set.
But tough for Jacob Ellery to be now another ex in his workplace.
Maybe just stick to dating people that you don't work with, Jacob.
That might work better out for you.
Kaya seems like a great girl.
last person she was spotted out was Pete Davidson,
and I'm sure Jacob Lardy is quite a lovely surprise to the family
because they did deal with some stressful times with Pete Davidson.
Definitely.
And you know what?
If they really are just friends right now,
I applaud Kaya on her self-restraint.
I know that she...
They're not just friends.
They're not.
You don't hang out with Jacob Lerty like that.
It's a beautiful girl.
and I'm sure men fawn all over her, but
I mean, if you got Jacob Ellardy
saying to your face, I would assume that, you know,
maybe he wants something to happen.
Ten times out of ten, you're saying, yes, there's no holding back.
No holding back.
I don't think there's any friend situation going on.
I think Jacob Ellardy and Kyrieuber
in the talking stages, and that's what people in Hollywood
call being friends when they're just talking.
Instead of saying they're talking,
because then talking automatically is their date.
Right, right.
Yeah, that's what I exist.
That's fair.
That's fair.
Yeah, I know you'd like to thank your shit don't stay.
If you watch the group chat on Snapchat, which if you don't subscribe, you will see that sometimes I'm rocking some super cute glasses that I got from Felix Gray.
They're actually blue light glasses, but they're the best that you can find because they're Felix gray.
Most clear blue light lenses only.
filter about two to three percent in that range. Felix Gray uses a proprietary filtering technology
to filter 15 times more blue light in the same range. And we all know it. Our favorite devices
all are a major source of blue light. If you're scrolling on your phone at night, that hurts your
eyes before you go to bed, you know, your laptop, your TV, it all has blue light that is entering
your eyes and hurting them. Sometimes you'll even get a headache and people are more prone.
to eye strain, bright screens in a dark room, like I said at night when you're going to bed,
and this can cause headaches, blurry vision, dry, tired eyes, and even trouble sleeping.
But Felix Gray helps that because they block out and filter 90% of the blue light in the most
damaging range and eliminates 99% of glare through a proprietary industry leading lens technology
only available with Felix Gray.

It's official. We saw it coming. Becca and Garrett Basturette, you know, final couple.
They have officially split. We've heard rumors about this for a while. Becca posted on her
Instagram this week saying, with a heavy heart, Garrett and I have come to the loving conclusion to
end our engagement. All that we will share is that we still have nothing but love and respect for one
another, even though we've decided to go down our own separate paths. While we've arrived at this point,
it doesn't diminish the countless amazing memories made together. We hope that everyone can allow
with grace, respect, and the time to heal our hearts as we navigate this next chapter in our lives.
Yeah, this is not shocking. I feel like we all saw this coming in recent months. You know, there was a lot
a controversy around their relationship and what Garrett believed in, what Becca believed in.
They didn't, you know, and then Rachel and Garrett got into a fight, and that caused some problems
for Becca and Rachel because they are good friends. They host a podcast together. And it just
seemed like it was causing problems all around. But I do think that they probably had some other things
going on as well. I think that, you know, there was relationship issues that we don't see.
that probably came even more to light
when they were fighting about this
and it just exploded into this whole thing
and they ended the engagement.
Yeah, I'm with you.
I think they have not been together for months now.
It seemed maybe they decided to take some kind of break,
spend some time apart,
and after that probably came to the conclusion
that the break should be permanent,
would be my guess.
And I just felt like a little bit
with the way Rachel talked about it on our episode on Monday,
that she, you know, she didn't get into details of their relationship,
but just it seemed like, you know, her and Becca were in a good place
and she supported Becca and whatnot.
And just makes you think that, like, Rachel probably knew that they had split at that time,
putting her support behind Becca.
And it's, it's sad because they, you know, they obviously loved each other
very much.
And it all just got to be too hard.
Sometimes if you're just too different and can't agree on certain things that are
important to you, it's not going to work.
That's what I think.
I feel like in the end, it just wasn't going to work for them.
And they're still young.
They can still go their separate ways, do their own thing.
And that's really it.
There's really not much to say about a breakup like this.
you're like, damn, like, it's unfortunate.
It's sad, but we all knew it was coming.
Right.
Like, there's just been so much talk about it
and rumors about it and speculation that it felt like it was only a matter of time
before they announced it themselves.
Exactly.
Ria brought my attention to this,
and guys, I have to say I'm floored.
I really am.
If you watched The Bachelorette with Acknowledge,
Emily Maynard. You know who Jeff with
1F is. It's he
won Emily's heart. He ended up getting
engaged. It was a season that Ari was on.
And
Jeff with an F, 1F, is now
dating
or seeing whatever you want to call it.
Francesca
from Too Hot to Handel. I don't
understand. I haven't
heard Jeff with 1F's
name in quite some time.
but here he is.
I guess he said that they have a mutual friend
who introduced them a few weeks ago.
He said she's a lot of fun to be around.
We've been hanging out and getting to know each other.
She's a great person inside and out
and we have a lie in common.
I definitely have a crush on her.
And Us Weekly said,
the duo aren't rushing their romance
and are focused on strengthening their bond first.
I can't keep up with this Francesca girl.
I cannot keep up.
Yep.
Every week she is dating somebody new.
And you know what?
good for her because why should she be tied down she's playing the field she's always spotted out
with somebody new and i feel like that's what she wants to do i feel like she's like why don't i just date a bunch
of people why you know people want me i'm going to accept it let's let's let's fucking date week after
week let's go on different dates with people yep she's also keeping her name the papers exactly
need to do that when you're a reality start you just have to that's the game if you are
on reality TV and you don't think to yourself,
how do I keep my name in the papers,
then you cannot be a reality TV star.
Right, exactly.
You got to keep your name in the papers.
And on top of that, we're reaching way back.
We're reaching way back.
I mean, like I said before,
you don't know who this guy is, Ria.
I don't.
You watch the family season.
Like, the fact that these two
are connected in any way
is just so funny
and just shows that like
the reality TV world
is so small
but Jeff with on 1F
from the freaking clouds
I got to say
he he was engaged Emily
he was the winner that obviously
did not work out I actually was a big fan
of Jeff with 1F on the show
I did love I loved Ari
during Emily's season, he was my favorite.
So, but I didn't, I did not dislike Jeff with one F, but Boyd and I did not expect to hear his name in, in this situation.
I really did not.
So between him from Damien now to this, who will it be next?
Rita, Fran.
Do you know what I'm going to do as soon as we finish recording this podcast?
I think I do.
But why don't you tell me?
Okay.
I'll tell you, I'm going to go downstairs.
I'm going to open my refrigerator.
I'm going to pull out an ice cold cores light.
I knew it.
I knew it.
I'm going to sit down.
I'm going to crack it open.
And I'm just going to relax because, you know,
sometimes we're recording the show.
We're on.
We're talking.
We're expressing ourselves.
And, you know, sometimes it's an hour plus.
And you're talking for a long time.
and you just want a moment to relax, chill out, kind of center yourself.
And that is with a Coors Light to just relax.
It is the beer that is made to chill Coors Light right now.
They have their new packaging.
It's already hitting the shelves.

Thank you guys.
Thank you guys so much.
The world's most refreshing podcast.
Yes.
We are here with a special guest singer, Ava Max.
Welcome to the show.
Hi.
Thank you for having me.
Thanks for being here.
We're really excited to talk to you about your debut studio album.
It's coming out so soon, September 18th.
Heaven and Hell.
How excited are you?
Like, how long has this been in the making?
Like, does it, how are you going to feel when this comes out?
Yeah, it's insane.
It's been the making for a little bit over a year,
but it's just like, it's crazy knowing that my debut album is finally coming out.
And I'm just really excited for everyone to hear the music on it
and all the music I've been holding on to.
And did you, how long has this album been finished?
Because obviously, you know, we've all been inside for quite some time now.
what were you doing in your quarantine lockdown and how long has this album been done?
Oh, I mean, I've just been writing at home chilling because I haven't been able to chill for a while.
So it feels good to just do nothing sometimes and like kind of just gather my thoughts and what I want the next project to be.
and like basically what I want the future to look like
with like my fans and concerts and I mean who knows
when we're going to have concerts but yeah
what was the last memorable concert that you performed at
um last memorable concert oh there's up to you oh my god let me turn that off
what is that annoying um the last memorable concert
my memorable concert, I think, was,
there's a lot, the O2, the O2, the O2.
That's really cool. Yeah. It's obviously, like,
because we've, like you said, it's been nice to just kind of chill,
but it's also very exciting now that you're going to have this album come out.
And I kind of want everyone, like, I was reading a little bit about you,
and I feel like maybe our listeners don't know too much about your,
background and how you kind of came into singing and things like that. So maybe you can kind of just
give everyone your backstory slash like I found kind of like your family's story very interesting
as well. Oh my God, long story. Here we go. So yeah, my parents left Albania in the early 90s
and they kind of fled. It was a communist country. They didn't know much when they were there.
So when they left, it was like a whole new world for them.
Like they weren't allowed to listen to the radio growing up.
They weren't allowed to watch TV.
It was so communistic.
And so it was just horrible.
And so my parents always wanted to leave.
And they fled with my brother, which is so dangerous because back in the day,
you know, they would kill families.
So being that brave and watching them and then telling them, I mean,
them telling me their stories like crazy every time I'm like,
I still am in shock.
And then they lived in France for a year at a church at a Red Cross,
and thankfully where they took them in for a year.
And so they experienced France in a church, and it was pretty crazy.
And then this lady who lived in Wisconsin got them passport.
And after a year, they moved to Wisconsin, and I was born in Wisconsin.
It's just such a crazy story.
And it's so many different places.
And I know it just makes me laugh.
It's like, and then you land in Wisconsin.
Like, how was that adjustment for them and as you guys as like a family?
It's just crazy seeing them.
They work three jobs each.
They didn't know the language, obviously.
They didn't have money.
And so I just remember them rolling up jeans like as like pillows.
Like it was pretty crazy.
They wouldn't even buy Cheetos for my brother because they would save so much.
And then finally, they built their first home.
They didn't even buy it.
They built it.
And everyone thought my parents from the mom.
mafia because they were all back.
And it was so weird in Virginia
because they built
like this beautiful big home
but it was from saving for eight years.
Like they saved so
much. And so
I think that you know
America was only place they could
come to where they could work three jobs each
and that's why they want to come to America.
And so like their story is just unbelievable.
And then I started singing
and my mom sang opera
growing up and you know, not anymore.
because obviously, you know, she had to work.
But they were all so supportive of me when I was singing.
And I've always wanted to sing.
It was kind of like I wanted to be a singer when I was eight years old,
which was really weird.
I would go to school and I'd be like, you know, I shouldn't be in school.
I should be singing.
Like I literally would sing that to everyone.
Like I literally have a bit of memory of that.
And like I went to California when I was 14 with my mom,
came back.
No one wanted to sign a 14-year-old singer.
So it was like really weird.
Yeah, but my whole journey, you know,
have been just like this one thing,
this one goal,
trying to reach this one thing.
And, yeah.
Yeah, that's a really amazing story.
I mean,
the background of your parents,
they seem like extremely hard workers.
And you yourself,
because you're saying when you were eight years old,
you would go into class and you're like,
I want to be a singer,
I don't like school,
I don't want to be here.
And I feel like so many kids go through that
with whatever,
profession they think they're going to be like you know there's so many people who think they're
going to be a singer or whatever it is but like you actually did that when did you realize
that this was something that was going to be a successful career for yourself um i feel like i didn't
know anything i just did it yeah that's what was the most stressful part about it like i've had days
where i was so depressed and like and i've had days where you know i i'm like okay i
can do this but again it was like a roller coaster my life has been like like insanely
roller coaster like and and i don't recommend that style of anyone because i i did go through some
dark times and like i think the best thing if i look back now i maybe wish you know i would have
you know stayed in virginia and finished high school like normally not homeschool and moved around
a lot and like you know for my career but like and then maybe came out when i was 18 but in my
head it's like but maybe that's how it was supposed to be but it was like really a stressful
you know teen years whatever you want to call it um so yeah i think i you know it's it's definitely
looking back i'm happy i did all those things but i think sweet but psycho really did it what i did
it yeah absolutely everyone knows sweet but psycho i mean that song was stuck in my head for like
months at a time it's it yes it's really like exactly right it's the kind of
kind of song that like you hear two notes and it's stuck in your head all day.
Like even it all day just leading up to this.
I just right.
So was I.
I was like, oh, Ava's coming on the show today and like immediately sweep it.
It's like, who just plays in my head.
You don't stay because we're not.
You know, you guys.
I mean, I love that song too.
It's kind of crazy what that song did.
And looking back again, like two years ago, it kind of happened so fast.
So yeah.
Yeah, did you, I mean, obviously, like, you can't pinpoint when a song is going to go as big as that.
Did you have any inkling whatsoever, or were you kind of just like, I'm going to throw the song out there, see what happens, and it blew up?
Yeah, exactly.
Because at the time, it was crazy when I would look at New Music Friday, there was really no pop music.
And so I remember just going like, eh, it might not go.
There's literally no pop music right now.
It's not the thing.
like whatever, let's just put it out.
And a producer, I work with a lot,
his executive producer of the album,
circuit. He's worked on a lot of songs
like Miley, Katie,
the weekend. So it was funny when I played the song,
he goes, and that's a hit.
And I'm like, how do you know?
And I remember right before we put it out.
And afterwards, I got like goosebumps
after listening to it, like right before
it was going to come out the night before.
And I remember sobbing.
It was a really weird.
story actually the night it came out on apple music and spotify like and all those platforms i remember
like crying because i had the song for like almost two years so i was just so excited it was coming out
and i literally like looked up at the night sky i swear i swear this is what happened i was like if this
doesn't fucking work i quit and like um and then 30 days in it started going number one in every country
i'm like what the heck so the world spoke to you
they were like, don't fucking because you're made to do this.
You know that kind of cry where it's like your chest cry?
Like you're like you can't get out of control crying.
That was me.
And then I came out.
And I literally was like, if this doesn't fucking work, I literally, I don't know what else to
give you.
Unbelievable.
Yeah, it's great because everyone I feel like has that moment.
And you know, the universe answered your call.
And the song absolutely blew up.
And it's, it's, I feel like that's obviously the song that most people now, um, know you from. And
now that, you know, this new album is coming out, it'll be a great way for everyone to hear
the rest, the rest of your sound. And, and you have an, I, you have an iconic look because I think
a lot of people ask about what's the inspiration behind the hair and is it your real hair?
Yes, it is. It's my real hair. I, I haven't really brushed it to them. But, um, yeah,
It is my real hair and it's pretty messy right now.
But it was like a happy accident, you know?
So it was just having fun with like different.
It was funny.
I was trying on different ways.
I was cutting my hair.
I was doing a lot of different things with my hair, burning my hair off with bleach.
In there.
That's cool.
No, but I, yeah, it just has fun playing with it.
And then I kind of landed on this.
And I'm like, okay, I've never seen this before.
I kind of like it.
It kind of goes a stupid psycho.
It kind of goes my dualities.
I love, like, having my cake and eating it too.
Like, that's me.
So I'm like, okay, I'm going to do it.
And then I didn't.
And it's funny how polarizing it is.
Some people are like, I fucking hate it.
And some people are like, oh, my God, it's so cool.
And, you know, so it's like, I don't think anyone's in the middle with it.
Like, they either hate it.
Right.
But it's kind of, like, at the same time when somebody hates it or they love it,
you're like, I did something.
great because it's so polarizing like you said like so many people are talking about your hair
not everyone's talking about other people's hair it's funny i like going on the internet sometimes when they
say like ew i hate it or something and i'm like ew and i just write you and they don't know
to say it's hilarious i like playing i like playing around with the haters a little bit but
yeah because they always have taken it back when you respond because they're like they think you
don't see it yeah because in the beginning like you know it was new to me two years ago all these
comments and I'm just like kind of hit me and I got emotional but now I'm like I really do not
care what you think like I don't care that's right it's like you're still listening to my music
so you want to hate my hair go ahead so funny yeah no I mean hey I'm really spontaneous I literally
could shave my head one day like I'm like so so spontaneous I hate planning like I just I'm not
the type of person to like plan ahead like I tried to then I never do
And then I love like a spontaneous trip or spontaneous haircuts.
Yeah, yeah, that's always so fun.
And plus, it just, it gives you, like, so many ways to play around.
Like, I was watching your video for who's laughing now.
And there's just, like, so many different colors and characters.
And, like, you just get to play so many more roles, which is fun.
And, yeah, like, why, like, you get, like, you know, the long hair and the short hair.
It's, like, you flip.
It's a different person.
Yeah.
Totally. And exactly, exactly, best of both worlds. And then I also kind of like in the same realm, where did Ava Max come from?
That's a funny story. Yeah. Amanda is my first name, obviously, and Cochi is my last name. And it kind of was like a, I know, funny version of Gucci in my head. So I'm like, eh. I'm like, and then in school, the principal would always be like, Amanda.
or Amanda Coach Ococke or Amanda Cockay, I'd be like, I'd be like, I can't do it, I can't do it.
And I'm like, I'm sorry, Dad, I love you, I just can't.
And so Cochie left like a minute ago.
And then Amanda, Kay, I went by for a little bit more music.
And then I'm just like, Amanda, like I can't do it.
I can't do it.
It doesn't feel like me.
But then I didn't change it just because like, oh, I want to change it.
I actually played a prank on my brother.
And this is how Ava came about.
It's a really funny story.
My brother and I are like Tom and Jerry, like especially growing up, like we would always like mess with each other.
We never really got along.
Like we were just like, like, you know?
So I was just like, you know what?
With my dad, I was on my computer.
I made a fake Facebook page.
And he's like nine years old.
So at this time he was dating and I was like 13 years old.
And it was hilarious because I made a fake Facebook page.
page and I got a stock image on Google and of a girl like I knew he would love like you know big booty
like everything and so I like made it up perfect and like his dream girl and and I started messaging him
and catfish your brother I started messaging him and the name I found on the stock image was
Ava Marie Chevroleta she was like French I guess and so I was like okay
Ava, here we go.
And so I'm like, what's up, Denny?
And so for a month, he thought he was talking to his like dream girl.
And at the end of the day I told him, I was catfishing him, I'm like, oh, I live on the same
stream as you.
So I was like, come outside.
And he believed it.
Oh, my God.
We play a lot of praise at each other.
So this is one of them.
And you walked outside.
I had a big scarf on that day.
And I remember just whipping him with my scarf.
I'm like, hey, it's Ava.
And he was just like in shock.
He couldn't move.
He like froze like a statue.
He was like, and I'm like, are you okay?
And he's like, what the heck?
Like he literally freaked out.
And then we laughed for two hours.
I mean, I don't know if he was laughing for two hours.
But.
But and then he just kept saying Ava, where the fuck did you come up with Ava?
And then I'm just like, you know what?
I kind of like that name.
Wow. You just really took over that role. Like, just became her.
It was not hilarious.
It sounds so funny. I have never heard of a story of somebody's own family catfishing them.
Obviously, you hear stories all the time, but, like, you went all in. They should have done an MTV episode about you.
I told me to end it. I was going to take it longer, but.
It's probably better for his sake that you ended it.
Oh, I know. I'm getting kind of crazy.
Yeah, it's so funny, too, to have your parent be like, all right, like, maybe you should
stop catfishing.
My mom didn't know, because if my mom knew, she would have told him.
So I just, my mom and my brother, like, so I was like, no, I'm not going to tell my mom.
I'm going to tell my dad.
My dad and I are like that, so I was like, I went out with my dad.
That is so fucking funny.
I mean, that's hilarious.
I have to.
I just had to.
I love it.
That's a really, as far as, like,
siblings prank sibling prank war's go that's kind of as good as a cat's
like the best I ever heard might be the best one I mean you know how it is having a sibling and one
sibling and we were literally always getting each other growing up so anyways but yeah max
came after eva because I feel like eva was so like feminine and I wanted like a mask I have a mask
inside so like what can I do what can I do with eva and so I added max because I've always loved
the name max and it felt a little more masculine so kind of like balanced Ava out
and I went with it.
That's kind of like what you were saying about the hair and sweet but psycho,
like the duality of those things.
Everything is duality in my life.
I love it.
And you have a new album coming out, obviously, September 18th,
Heaven and Hell, both Heaven and Hell.
We're feeling a trend.
Yeah, we're feeling a trend here.
And I bet we can expect it to be, you know, a little bit of both those things.
How would you describe the album?
So the side of the album, Heaven, is very like, I mean, the entire album is anthemic and upbeat and danceable.
But the first half is like a little bit more like feel good energy.
It's all about the energy, I feel like because I don't really want to write sad lyrics.
So even hell is not like sad lyrics.
So hell is more so just like a feeling you get with the melodies like moodier, sexier.
So it kind of transitions between that.
And it's just it takes you on a journey of heaven and hell
and what we go through and the emotions in life
and like the heaven and how we go through in relationships
and careers.
I feel like everything is heaven and hell.
Literally everything.
Yeah.
It's definitely a great name for an album.
And hopefully you'll be able to go out and perform some of these songs
at some point because I actually,
so I was at the Pandora show last year in Manhattan that you did with the Jarvis Brothers.
Oh, my God, that's funny.
Oh, my God.
And you were fantastic.
We, I really, I loved it.
I was right in the front row because I have a Jonas Brothers thing.
But I, like, literally I was right up against the gate.
And it was so great because, you know, like, when you're just at that spot at a show and you're so excited.
and you're so excited.
You race to the front and then you're like, oh my God,
I hope I don't pee my pants.
I remember that show because so well,
not only because Jones Brothers,
but my ear,
I don't know if you're watching me mess in my ear.
I had,
it's apparently like there was a little mistake
and so it was so loud in my ears.
And so afterwards I couldn't hear it for like two days.
Oh, good.
It's just a little permanent ear damage, no problem.
Yeah, a little bit permanent, semi-permanent.
And like, I just remember
that show because my ears were buzzing so much
and I was just like, I went back there. I was like,
this was so loud. And I don't know if you, I was like,
freaking me out. I was like, it was so loud. And you know why?
Because when it's not your show, it's like, it's so different
when you share this stage. So I just remember
like feeling like really ear uncomfortable.
It was great for a fan, but not great for you.
Oh my God, it was so much fun. It was just a semi-permanent
after. Yeah, yeah. Well,
it wasn't, I actually do remember you kind of like toying a little bit, but I always feel like
singers do that. Like I don't, like, you know, I don't really know what's happening. I just feel like
they're always kind of playing with the earpiece. I know it's always, you know, as artists, it's funny
being up there. Something, even the remotely little goes wrong, you can hear everything. And it's like,
ah. Yeah. Like if I'm singing, my voice goes too loud in my ear. I'm like, ah.
That can be scary. Like, it's like, it's like, I sometimes have to take it out.
but well the whole performance was amazing like I said which is why I'm hopeful that you know
you'll be able to go out and and perform this album because you put on a great show it's it feels
very new you're you're a great performer thank you so much yeah which is yeah yeah definitely
so um all right we're gonna we we kept you a little bit long so we're gonna we'll wrap up thank
you so much, Ava, for joining us. It's amazing. And, you know, you can stream all of Ava's music right now.
Who's Laughing Now? You can listen to now. It's the last, right? The latest single that's come out from
this album. Yeah. Okay. So you-
Coming out tonight at midnight, actually. Oh, my God. So I just posted the cover to it earlier.
I'm really excited. Fantastic. So go listen to that too. And Heaven and Hell comes out in full,
September 18th. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for joining us. Thank you. Oh my God. Sorry I was
late, by the way. My computer was, the camera wasn't working. Has that ever happened to you when the camera just goes
black? Yes. Technical difficulties. Don't worry about it. Yeah. Totally not a problem. We kept you around
the same amount of time we would have anyway. All right. Awesome. Thank you so much.
