Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday. Happy Wednesday, everybody. Happy Wednesday. It's a tough start to the week.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Why? Because, as you know, I'm fighting us die. The Eagles lost. Why are you even wearing the hat? Because I thought to myself, and a good question, thank you for asking. No problem. I was looking at my collection of hats where 75% are Eagles hats. I don't have that many that aren't that are also brand approved for being on camera.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Shout out of 47. And I love 47 hats, but I have so many Eagles. You know what I need? Because I just need to jump ship. And like I just need to get like a lot of. Sixers hats. I just need to like really dive in on something else. Baseball's over.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Like I have some Phillies hats, but you know, it's not baseball. It is baseball. World Series are going on. Noah has this 47 brand. Actually, just ordered a new 47 Celtics hat. Nice. From Abercrombie. Nice.
Starting point is 00:01:19 I didn't know that they had. This is personally, yeah, they do have some good ones. This is personally my favorite style of that. 47 brands got to be like the most popular hat company. Yeah, we won't mention the other ones. No, we're not going to. No, no. It actually is, though.
Starting point is 00:01:31 They're great hats, but so many of my hats are Eagles hats. And I really also just have a lot of Eagles gear, sweaters, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shirts, shirts, hats, everything. Jackets. And they're just not going to get, they're just not going to get a lot of use this year. Soon we will have chicks in the office, 47 women. Yes, we're going to win. And then I can wear that all the time. Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Because this one, and I thought, you know, it's not. can get a lot of use and when my team is at its lowest, I will still. Yeah, that's when you got to show support. But the Sixers. And that's me wearing this hat despite it being a disaster to watch. Have you been keeping up with the drama between Jane LaBron and Jason Tatum? Yes. Have you, Ria?
Starting point is 00:02:21 Have you seen this? Oh. Last night when Fran was texting me stressed about the Eagles, I was painting Garfield on a pumpkin. Yeah, yeah. So that's where my brain's at right now. That first game in Philly is going to be pretty crazy. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 00:02:34 I also heard about, as I was painting Garfield on the pumpkin, about the Joe Buck, Troy. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's another big feud going on. And they're announcing together. They're feuding right now? Oh, they're feuding big time because Joe and ESPN did a deal and they didn't tell Troy about it.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Oh, I thought they were both done at the, I thought both their deals were up. They wore and they gave Joe a big deal. And then I think basically Troy didn't get a deal. and then apparently they were like really getting into it like a fight before and then they had to go on there and like no one knew but this was like came out yeah so I totally miss that as we were watching the game they were professionally professionals it's like they were around the game you wouldn't know it's like this show like we were just yelling at we were just screaming the three of us were just screaming our heads off see I thought I didn't
Starting point is 00:03:25 realize Joe had signed a deal I thought they're both of their deals were up at the end of the season and it was going to be like like a big thing around the Super Bowl because ABC and ESPN have the Super Bowl this year that it'd be like, ooh, what's happening after? No, apparently Joe did something with ESPN and Troy. 100 million extension, not bad. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:03:42 and Troy didn't know. Wow. Heeded argument. Yeah, near confrontation. Yeah, I mean, I could see Aikman being mad if he was blindsided by this. But it seems like after the season. Oh, so, I mean, the drama is even more. So really, it's like,
Starting point is 00:04:00 Talk about the Super Bowl being such a big moment for them. Could be their last time. Could be. He said he admitted he expects to part ways. Wow. Yeah. So that could be it. So that was kind of interesting to me, obviously, having no dog in the fight of the game last night.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I was just watching those two to see if I sensed any tension. Yeah. They were very professional. They were very professional. They were very professional. You would have never known. That's why they pay one of them the big bucks. Yeah, I'm sure Joe Buck was probably the one trying to diffuse it like, come on.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Well, yeah, you're the one that you signed a $108 million deal. He's like, he's like, Troy, Troy, Troy, come on. What's the biggie? Come on. Why don't you figure it out? I bet they'll come to you next. Yeah. Just tell them what I told them.
Starting point is 00:04:51 There's a lot of drama with sports announcers. We got that, Tom Brady. Yeah, no, I know. What's going on with Brady? Well, the Victoria's Secret stuff. Oh, we're just personal. I was like, what's going on with this deal? Tony Romo.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Yeah. Tony Romo. Yeah, honestly, what's going on with that? Well, Tony Romo was that because of his DUI? Oh, he got fired after the DUI. That, a couple weeks ago. Like, he never returned. They were like, you're not coming back to do the games on, uh.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I still never knew what videos were real or fake with those. They were tricky. It was very, there was a lot of. And speaking of tricky videos while we're here, I would like to bring up the videos of Tommy Fury at the amusement park last week. Were those fake or were they real? I have no clue. I only saw one video and that's the one video I sent to you and it was from the sun.
Starting point is 00:05:37 So I don't know. Like would the sun have posted an AI video? I don't know. I almost called you Tommy. Noah, can you pull up the? Yeah, so originally I saw this video online and I scroll quickly past it because I thought it was AI. And then Fran sent it to me and was like, did you see this video? And I was like, wait, I thought that was fake.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Is this a real video? And it seemed to. The son posted. Since Tommy Fury causes chaos at theme park Halloween. Like he was trying to kiss Jigsaw? Yeah. Or he seemed like he was drunk. No, he was trying to kiss Jigsaw.
Starting point is 00:06:11 But look, there was, or getting in his face, but right? Look. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It seemed consensual. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:21 I don't know what's going on. It just looked weird all around. And he just looked very drunk, which is not good for somebody that. has publicly talked about having a drinking problem. And I think Molly has made it very clear that there were some stipulations to them being back together. Yeah. And the drinking was definitely a big part of it.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And he's out here kissing jigsaw at the amusement park. Yeah, it doesn't look good. It doesn't look good. Wait, no, I want to go back just because I feel like if people, we may have left people hanging on the Jason Tatum Jalen. Oh, yeah, sorry. Why don't you like to give your synopsis just so we don't leave people? People are going to be like, well, what is the drama?
Starting point is 00:07:00 I quickly forgot, but yeah, what is it? Honestly, quick synopsis would be like, obviously they played together. They won a championship together. They were teammates for almost 10 years on the Celtics. And then they were all the, and then Jason Tatum got hurt last year. He was out all year. He tore his Achilles. He's had the whole year.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Then Jalen Brown at the end of the year, they lost to the Knicks was like, that was my favorite season I've ever played. He won a championship with Jason Tatum and said, that was my favorite year ever playing basketball. And he's, Jalen Brown is one of these guys. The second of game ends, he's like live on Twitch. He's a streamer. And then, you know, there was just all this like rumors, but they don't like get along. And then they got rid of Jay and Brown. Objectively, it seemed like they gave him away for nothing.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Yeah, yeah. Like they were like, we just need to get this guy out of here. And then ever since then, he's being like really cryptic or whatever and all these things. And Jason Tainon finally acknowledged being like, hey, I have no beef with him like in a press comments the other day. Like, we have such a great history. I wish people would talk about that. Like, no beef.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Like, just want to focus on basketball. Like, love that guy, whatever. And then Jalen Brown was asked about it the next day in his own press conference. And was so weird and cryptic about it. And it was like, yeah, we got no beef. We might have mashed potatoes and gravy, though. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And he goes, you know, Jason Tate, he's like, he's got a real good PR team over there. So, yeah, like, it's not beef. And he said it three different times. He goes, he got mashed potatoes and gravy. It's not beef. He's got thanks. And he always said he needs to be ready at all times. Like that sounds like a threat.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Yeah, it was really, it's weird. It's a weird dynamic. I don't know if it's just like that classic situation. I feel like sometimes with athletes, they have, when you're always compared to another athlete or you're on the same team, like the one that maybe is considered second fiddle has some issues. Like Jalen Brown was always second to Jason Tatum on the team. And I think he like...
Starting point is 00:08:59 There's no beef, but it might be a little lamb chops and some gravy. Yeah, it might be a little lamb chops at some crazy. What do you mean to just stay ready at all times? I was such a crazy quote. He said noted twice. Tatum has a great PR team. Like, that didn't seem like a PR thing. Tatum was just like, hey, like...
Starting point is 00:09:14 It just kind of seems like Jason Tatum is like, I don't know what the fuck this guy keeps saying. Like, it's all fine on my end. Like, he needs to... He needs to chill. Yeah. I think the tide is turning on like... Everyone's kind of being like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:27 we don't know what Jalen Brown is talking about. No, we don't. No. What team is Jalen Brown? He's on the Sixers now. With LeBron. Right. LeBron's doing great, huh?
Starting point is 00:09:39 So far so good. Well, he's like they're like fourth best player now. Oh, that's a great starting lineup. But now it's like, you know, they don't all play every game. Why don't the three of us go to the Sixers Celtics game? No, I have no interest in that. I mean, you two can go. What about a Knicks game?
Starting point is 00:09:57 I would gladly head to MSC, home of the most world-famous arena. Home of the defeated Knicks now? Home of the Knicks, Harry Stiles, Bill and Giggly Squad four nights. Pretty epic. Hanging in the rafters. Yeah, for sure. Got to get that banner up. That is crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I mean, a huge congrats to them. That is, I'm so hyped for the two of them. That is so cool. That's like John Mayer comes down. He does two shows. Yeah, no, they're doing four nights. And then I saw somebody say that if they do six nights, it would actually be the most spoken word or comedy show ever done
Starting point is 00:10:34 because Sebastian did five in a row. In a row consecutive nights. So they got to do six. Oh my God. But I want them to do six. We need six. We need six. We want to be breaking records.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Yeah, instantly. So they could do enough. I think they could do two more easy. Yeah. Really, it was so impressive. And they just kept adding. It's so, so good. Should they try to just do like 26 more and Todd Harry?
Starting point is 00:10:59 And Top Harry, they could. And they should do a residency. Yeah. I'm so happy for them. It's awesome. It is, yeah, it is cool. That is so sick. I've never seen a non-sporting or music event.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Like, I've never seen comedy or anything. I saw Sebastian there. Yeah, I wonder like what it's like in an arena compared to like a thing. Yeah, I mean, it, uh, basement yard did. Oh, yeah, basement yard. Last year. Um, sick. So cool.
Starting point is 00:11:23 I'm trying to think of, I don't think I have seen it, but it will be epic. If you're looking for an intimate show, it would be a Webster Hall. Yes, and now if you're looking for a intimate setting, New York City, Webster Hall, December 10th. Listen, I would have said a thousand's a lot of people, but maybe not. No, it's awesome. No, it's really incredible. I'm just like, I can't wait to see. we can't get in
Starting point is 00:11:54 sold out but I can't wait to see like the pictures and the videos and stuff it's gonna be so awesome I love the teasers they've been doing too but yeah you know they can knock Sebastian right off
Starting point is 00:12:05 yeah I'm sure they're thinking about it maybe but maybe MSG's already booked and they can't you know what I mean right right right because I don't know how that works right now it's like literally four nights in a row
Starting point is 00:12:14 it is yeah yeah and I bet you now they're like okay now like we have like maybe there's Rangers game or a next game We're actually running into like a... Now we've hit a bump. Yeah. To add a fifth night in a row.
Starting point is 00:12:26 For sure. Could be another weekend though maybe. Could be. For another day. That would be cool. I would like to go... Well, the Nixon Sixers played opening... Get tickets to the Nixon Sixers.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Yes. On banner night. Mm-hmm. And tickets were thousands and thousands and thousands. I would like to see my guy, Josh, in action. He might need your support. He might, right? Yeah, they're not doing it.
Starting point is 00:12:51 well. Yeah. It's so early. They play so many games in the NBA. But do you see, I think it was only one team has ever won after going Owen 3 or some weird stat like that to start the season off? Oh, it's like some very niche stat of like in the history of teams that have started Owen. Owen 3 that like only one team has ever. Huh. That is an interesting statistic. But yeah, so anyways, back to the re. What do we start talking about? Oh, because of my hat. I'm going to get some extra hats to throw into the mix too. And also when we get some new hats.
Starting point is 00:13:26 But until then, I will show my support even though this could be a brown paper bag. What are you going to do? It's tough. Tough to watch. Monday night in Philly, you lose like that. Tough. To the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Embarrassing. I turned it off. Five minutes left. Rarely do that. But it had to be done. in order to save your Monday night. Yeah. Your sleep. Yep, exactly. Went all downhill.
Starting point is 00:13:55 But no, we're fast approaching Halloween. It's going to be a good rest of the week. Yeah. All right. Let's get into the rest of today's topics. We are talking about Noah Wiley, not nominated. He has been appointed. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Sexiest Man Alive. Jennifer Lawrence announces her new hair care product. G. Flip and Cresell have split announced on Instagram. It's impossible for you to have a bad hair day. Oh, thank you. I appreciate that. All right. Let's get into
Starting point is 00:15:52 recapping the night. This was spooky Halloween night. I was excited for this. I always love a Halloween night, the theme night, and yeah, there was some interesting choices being made tonight. Yeah, definitely.
Starting point is 00:16:10 But there always is on Halloween night. And I was so excited for this episode also because Shirley Ballas was entering the ballroom. And we know that she is one tough cookie when it comes to giving out scores. Like she tells it how it is. She is tough on ballroom dance. I actually saw a few other people say this.
Starting point is 00:16:29 And I totally agree. I mean, Halloween night like always has a bunch of contemporaries and jazz because you can really get so creative, like the storytelling and like making something freaky and cool. But when you have Shirley Ballast, the queen of ballroom in the building, it's like, how fun would it would have like it could have been as a viewer if everyone was doing a ballroom dance and she was just on them like she was just like really trying to help them be better and teach them and like actually give genuine ballroom feedback because the people who did like contemporary jazz like things like that she wasn't as hard on them when it came to the
Starting point is 00:17:18 scores. But the people that were doing like classic ballroom dances or look out because she was not afraid to give out these scores. And she started off, it started off strong because Julia Stiles went first. And she did an Argentine tango. And even Ezra in the package was like, look, Jenna, Amber, like they're doing Argentine tangos. Like this has got to be crisp, clean, all the things. Shirley's here. He seemed like he was definitely pushing her. And the dance just didn't work because it felt like she was almost trying to be so intense
Starting point is 00:17:58 that it like locked her up. And it like became too, like the judges, there wasn't like a lot of fluidity to it. And then it's hard because then you see like, Jeddah Dewan's Argentine Tango and you're like, well, fuck my life. Like, yeah, okay. So I thought it was pretty fair. that, you know, she didn't get the best feedback on this dance.
Starting point is 00:18:19 It definitely was not her best dance. No, I agree with that. But when Shirley hit her worth of four, I was quite excited just because I thought, where could this night end up? Where are we headed here? She did like tease a little two, you know, like breaking out the two. There were no twos given out,
Starting point is 00:18:38 but that sure would have been just fun to watch. It really would have just been so interesting. And I think maybe if everyone had ballroom, it would have been different. But that was tough. And the whole ballroom went silent. We were not watching live. We had to go home and catch up. However, I think I saw like the first 30 minutes live before I had to leave.
Starting point is 00:19:04 I'm like in the bathroom, in my robe, like doing my makeup. And I just hear four. And I went, I dropped my makeup brush. I went, oh my God. She is not fucking around. No, not at all. And then it was hard because it was followed up by Harry Shum, which was an incredible dance.
Starting point is 00:19:24 He got all tens. He killed it. My God, was he popping and locking, though, in the contemporary. I didn't know a contemporary required that. You know, a contemporary is really up for interpretation, which is why I think it is, like, white, the scores I feel like never really come in too low on a contemporary, because it's like, well, you can't really,
Starting point is 00:19:48 like the routine is the routine. And you can be like, well, that's the message. And you're like, well, yeah, then that's contemporary. I would love to dance a contemporary. I feel like you could just fucking throw your body around and whatever happens happens. You're just like, you just feel, you feel the rhythm in your body. And if somebody feels the rhythm in their body,
Starting point is 00:20:09 it is Harry Shum Jr. It is coursing through his veins at all times. He can't do anything but feel the rhythm. pumping through his chest at all times, but it was fantastic. It really was. It was such a cool dance. I love Jenna's choreography. I loved that they went back to like the heartbeat thing, like that got so much attention
Starting point is 00:20:30 when they did it earlier and everyone freaked out. And then they kind of like did it again in a different way to end this dance. And I was just like, oh my God, these two. But it was so good. This is Harry's bread and butter. Like contemporary on Halloween night. it was amazing. He got four tens,
Starting point is 00:20:47 totally perfect score and well deserved because it was great. There was some clips of, you know, it seems like Cary Ann's really buried the hatchet with Jenna and there's a video of her
Starting point is 00:20:59 and Val sharing a moment and talking very close to one another and hopefully they're talking it out. Carrie Ann mentioned on Instagram how she would love if there was like, it almost felt like maybe a refresher course for the pros
Starting point is 00:21:14 on like, what a lift is, an assist, what's the difference, when can it be used, when can it be, when it cannot be used. And all the judges and all the pros sort of sit down and talk about it before a season, which is a great idea and they should do that. And Jenna was asked about it after, uh, during the press line. And Jenna was like, that's great. I would absolutely love if we could do that because I think that would clear, clear things up for everybody. So they should do that.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Tatiana had a Pasadobla after this. And this was another. one where, you know, Shirley came through because she's getting pretty positive feedback. And then Shirley was like, there was nothing about that dance that was PASO. And to the naked eye, I'm watching, I'm like, great dance. Wow, look at her. Crush this PASO. Everybody else gave her eights. Shirley gave her a four because in Shirley's mind, there was no PASO in there. And you know what helped that dance was the song. Because that song from Sinners is seriously so good. So good.
Starting point is 00:22:13 So I feel like that helped while watching the dance be like, oh, this is a good dance. And a cool theatrical moment when she pulled Jan's face and he had the exposed like mouth teeth makeup on the side of his face. That was sick. Yeah, that was really, really cool. I loved the art of this dance, one might say. Sure. But I don't know about the actual dance itself. I was feeling like Tatiana could have let herself play into it even more.
Starting point is 00:22:55 Yeah. I felt like there were times when she was looking in the camera and there was still like a little bit of a smile or like I'm doing this. Right. And really get into character. Like really get into it. Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you on that.
Starting point is 00:23:08 I felt like the eights were a little high My guess was maybe sevens And then whatever Shirley was going to do But she I do just love watching her in Yachts partnership We talk about that every week They're so fun Jenna and Val are back in the ballroom
Starting point is 00:23:23 reunited for this Argentine tango That was just Unfucking believable Like my jaw was on the floor Her legs, her hips The movement Was so gorgeous And call me
Starting point is 00:23:38 Derek Huff, because I did not see that mistake. Like, I, I, the dance finished and I went tens. And only when they showed the replay, like in slow-mo, I was like, oh, fuck, she stepped on her dress. But when I was watching it, I did not catch that at all. I'm with you. I think I was just mesmerized by the dance itself. And also, they came back with a bang.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And they needed to because, you know, Val probably saw everyone being like, wow, Jenna was so great with Alan. All right. well, we need to come back hard this week, and they really did. It was incredible. Yes. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:24:11 I'm going to defend Val a little bit in the, because they're getting, they're getting criticism again for like the end moment when he's like, gnawing at her neck. And they were like, why is this going on for so long? They're like, this is going on for way longer that needs to be.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I think, and I saw people say this as well, I think he maybe had some sort of like blood, fake blood capsule. Because you kind of see him take. something out of his mouth afterwards. So I think maybe it was supposed to like explode on Jenna's neck to look like she really got bit
Starting point is 00:24:43 and was like becoming a zombie. Mm-hmm. And I don't think it worked. And I think that's what happened. That would make a ton of sense because you're right. Everybody keeps talking about. They're like, why was Val annoying
Starting point is 00:24:57 at Jenna's neck for entirely too long? Yeah, like really chewing down. Yeah. No, that would make a ton of sense. and that really would have added a whole other element to the end there. That would have been fun. Yeah, definitely. And Derek did give her a 10 because he didn't see the mistake.
Starting point is 00:25:14 So 10 in my book and everybody else gave it a 9. Just really fantastic. Connor. Connor would, you son of a gun. That was. King of contemporary, they're calling him. He and Riley did such a cool contemporary. I loved this.
Starting point is 00:25:36 I think that this was Riley's best choreography of her career. Like, just everything about it. It was such a story. And Connor is really, like, a great actor. Like, and I think comedians and people that are on social media and do, like, skits and jokes and things like that, like, they're so good at it. And it really shone in this dance.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I was so impressed by his storytelling. He really took on the character. It felt like, like they said, it felt like watching a mini movie. Like it really was a complete story, which was so cool. It really was cool. And I was roped in the entire time
Starting point is 00:26:14 because you just wanted to know what happened next in a dance, which is so interesting. So that's how you can tell how great of a job they did storytelling and the choreography. And Connor, when he didn't sub or saw it on the couch, I said, oh my God, like I just like,
Starting point is 00:26:31 don't fall off. But he did a really great job but I was so happy that he did so well, especially a night like this where you can really, and this is what I mean with Connor, he was able to really put himself into this and let himself get into character. And I think that's what makes these theme nights even better.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Yeah, that's why Halloween night is one of the best, because you just really, especially when every person is sort of a, it's an ode to a scary movie, a horror movie, and you can sort of like do a retelling. and that's when I love contemporary the most. Because like contemporary to me too is the storytelling is like what message are you trying to come across and do you deliver?
Starting point is 00:27:13 And they did that so well. Carrie Ann and Derek gave tens and I thought Connor was going to pass out in the skybox. I was so excited for him. Shirley gave him an eight and Bruno a nine. Just, you know, great scores. He must be so thrilled to have this sort of like, not even a redemption moment, just like a great character arc.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Like you're just, it's only getting better. Yeah, that's a play on the night as well. But yeah, getting an eight from Shirley on this is huge as well. Definitely. I also laughed at Derek make, I laughed, I'm sorry, I laughed at Derek making the Jennifer Lawrence joke
Starting point is 00:27:48 when he was said to Connie. He was like, I saw you backstage, you paid me no mind. Listen, if Derek is going to make, if one thing's going to happen, it's Derek making a corny joke. Two things are for sure on Dance of the Stars. Harry Shum,
Starting point is 00:28:00 popping and locking and locking. Yeah. And Derek Huff making corny jokes. And Derek, yeah, really trying to like, see what are the kids saying online these days? Exactly. Anything to fit in. I am also so chronically online when it comes to this show. And there is, she goes by coach Jackie.
Starting point is 00:28:19 She is on TikTok. And the Dance With the Stars recaps that Jackie does are amazing. Jackie has always had this running beef with Derek and Derek has played into it he comments on the videos, he does all this and Jackie was in the ballroom so there were so many great videos from behind the scenes that they made together
Starting point is 00:28:42 and Jackie always hates when Derek slides in when Alfonso is talking. She's always like, stop doing that. And there was such a funny moment where he did it but she was right next to him so she could get up and like push him back. So it's like for the chronically online
Starting point is 00:28:58 there was a lot of good, got a little good moments last night that you were like, damn, you know what, they paid off watching all these videos. Yeah, that is funny, actually. I didn't know that, but that's very funny. Yeah, it was really good. And the reviews were so fun. Like, it really, and even her review from last night was so funny because she was like, you may think we squash the beef. But then Derek had to say, point those biscuits and why do you have to say that? So it was very, very funny. Ezra was after Connor. I felt so bad because he is clearly in pain.
Starting point is 00:29:33 He's dealing with some pain with the end of his leg. And God, I can't, like, just looking at it, like, it looked so fucking painful, like kind of blistering. And he was like, anytime I put any pressure on it,
Starting point is 00:29:48 it's like a sharp pain. I thought, oh my God, good for you for powering through this right now is his body is not used to having the prosthetic on so much, I think. He's like, when I'm home, I, you know, and I'm chilling, I don't have it on. And right now I'm just working so much,
Starting point is 00:30:04 which is so hard. The dance was still obviously so cool. And he got an eight and three-nines, which was also, you know, they did a jazz, right? It wasn't contemporary. I think it was a jazz. And you could just always count on Daniela
Starting point is 00:30:22 to do great things on Halloween night. Oh, yeah. I look forward to Dan. Daniela's choreography every single Halloween. Yeah. And the special effects, like kind of, you know, the invisible man making him look like he was appearing, disappearing.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Very, very, very cool. Jackson, I was reading my, I'm also cracking myself up because I wrote down notes as I was watching last night. And, you know, we had some drinks at the event we were at. And I didn't write anything down for Jackson, except for not good to go home after a contemporary. is bad.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Well, you had a point there. You had a point. I had a point. And I just read it back to myself and I went, what the fuck am I talking about and who am I talking about? I was talking about Jackson.
Starting point is 00:31:09 A point was being made. A point was being made that it's got to suck to go home after a contemporary because I think a lot of times maybe you get some of your higher scores on a contemporary, which Jackson did.
Starting point is 00:31:24 9-9-89, which is very high. Just when the banana was growing on me because I actually liked this dance. This dance was really cool. I really liked this dance a lot. I thought he did a great job. This makeup fit him well.
Starting point is 00:31:40 This was the right character for him to play. They were like, all right, smiley pants. We're making you the Joker. Yeah, it was perfect. And I really enjoyed this dance. I did too. And the whole time I'm watching, I'm like, this is really good, this is really good.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And I felt bad because truly in my, mind, I thought, I don't know if this is enough to save him, but he deserves another week after that performance. Like to me... And this is where a save would come in. Yes. To me, that was worth another week. And the dedication of the character, the whole thing, really, really good.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Tyler was next that... Something about, like, when you really know the person and then they get into those costumes and you're just like, oh my God. I was having a hard time with that wig. I think it was just bad makeup and hair on him. Like, it kind of felt like they just threw it on him and said, yeah, whatever. Like, he by far had the worst makeup and hair
Starting point is 00:32:37 and costume of the night. Right, right. And it really wasn't particularly close. Like, it looked like everyone else, like they really tried to, like, really, you know, make it real. Whereas his, they were like, all right, this is a joke. Like, it looked way more jokey than, like, real. costume, if that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:32:57 Yes, which I think is unfortunately just because of the movie that they were referencing is just really old. And I think that kind of came into play. It's like looking at that Dracula character and then looking at this, like it is not just, it's just not the best costume period.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Like it's so, there are so many other ways to do Dracula, to like do vampire. but it was because that is what that Dracula character looks like in that movie that came out very long time ago. Yeah, it just wasn't good makeup. It was hard. And the wig was terrible.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Yeah. And I think it was very hard to be one of the few to do ballroom in front of Shirley Ballas because not everyone was doing it. So I think the people that were and then they saw the low scores could have been even more discouraging. He Dancavianese waltz Shirley did say
Starting point is 00:34:00 she appreciated the acting. She said she saw the character. Carrie Ann said she didn't see the character. So they disagreed on that. Like it was funny because I felt like Shirley was trying to like say something nice. And Carian just had to be like, well actually I completely disagree.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I don't see the character at all. Yeah, Carrie Ann was like, sorry, your highness. Like, I don't agree. And I was like, oh, I. listen, you know, makes her more interesting TV when this shit happens. Yeah, yeah. It was really, Carrie Ann was like, I have to make sure I say, I did not like this acting and character.
Starting point is 00:34:36 And it was almost like, I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight unless I say this. Yeah, yeah, no, definitely. Tyler was very disappointed with his scores. He's getting some criticism for that as well up in the skybox. I just, I feel bad because Tyler is an athlete. And I think you know, he is. I think you know that like when you perform badly, you lose the game. Like you lose, right?
Starting point is 00:35:08 So I think he was like, shit, my scores are bad. Like, I'm out. Like, I'm going to get sent home. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The way that you just said that really made me laugh, though. He is, he's an athlete. No, I mean, I think that the online criticism of how he acted in that moment is an overreaction because people are like a red flag.
Starting point is 00:35:33 How does he act at home? And it's like, well, I don't know. Tate's not handing out fives to him about the chores he's doing around the house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. He just looked disappointed in himself. Yeah. And people are saying he walked off.
Starting point is 00:35:47 I don't think he walked off as much as it like He just kind of walked. He like walked off screen. I don't know if he like completely walked. I don't know. He kind of said he thought like the second, like he thought they were off camera. Like he thought like it was over.
Starting point is 00:36:02 I thought yeah, it kind of looked like he was just like walking off camera but not like walking out of the skybox. I just think the disappointment was there because he knew he was like if this, if these scores are bad, I'm going home. Like that's what we saw. Like I think he was like, I'm sure he built up all week.
Starting point is 00:36:17 after dedication night, after all the hype, like, I think he was like, I need to really perform or else I'm screwed. And then I think when he heard the feedback, he was just pissed because he didn't live up to what he wanted to. And it's super normal and okay to be disappointed in yourself. You know what I mean? And I think Sharna knows how much he loves and respects her.
Starting point is 00:36:42 And I think he wanted to do right by her as well. because I see people talking about like that's so rude to do to Sharnah and it's like, well, you guys, like, we don't know their relationship. Like, I'm sure Sharnah has also been in position where she's been upset with something before. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:36:59 Totally. I think it's quite the jump and overreaction over this. But what else is new? Yeah, definitely, definitely. So people are just always looking for something. I will say they're always looking for something. At this point, like, oh, my voice cracked. Sorry, my balls dropped.
Starting point is 00:37:17 At this point, I think it was time for Tyler and Jackson to go. Yeah, like, looking at the rest of the competition, it wasn't like a jaw-dropping elimination. Yeah, I mean, I'm not, we have more to discuss. I'm not overly impressed with Julia Stiles either. No, for sure. And I thought that maybe she could have went. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:40 But I think those three couple are probably my bottom, like in terms of dancers. Yeah. I would have thought that maybe Julia would have went. Yeah. No, I hear you. Amber did a stunning artisan tango to the black swan. You got that music. It was theatrical.
Starting point is 00:38:02 It was gorgeous. Nines across the board. Just beautiful stuff. Like she is just surgical with her precision. It's the ice skis. and her, you know, and it comes out in all the dances. Loved Pasha's choreography on this. I just rarely have too many notes on Amber
Starting point is 00:38:21 because it's really gorgeous every time. Yeah, I think we're kind of getting the same thing each week at this point, but that doesn't mean they're bad. They're great dances. I'm just, I just haven't, I'm not like holy shit because I feel like I've been holy shit since the beginning. Yeah. And that's great.
Starting point is 00:38:40 she's so good. Yeah. Mora closed the night. The pressure was on for Mark, you know, getting judged by his mom and all these things. I don't think he's not used to. And surely actually ended up giving them
Starting point is 00:38:53 the lowest score of any of the judges. But I really enjoyed this dance. I felt Mora lean into the character more, like become more theatrical. Like she was joking that she really, like, loved the makeup and like loved being scary and all these things. And she totally leaned into,
Starting point is 00:39:10 to it. I wrote, Mora, great, actually theatrical. That was my note. I'm with you. I also think great, actually theatrical. I thought she was fantastic, hauntingly beautiful. Because she is so gorgeous that I think Derek was saying it, like, so seductive, but scary. And you're just staring into her eyes.
Starting point is 00:39:34 She already has beautiful eyes. But this whole makeup and the costume, I thought, this is one of my, favorites that Mora and Mark have done. I really loved this one. Yeah, I agree. It's cool to see her do other things and get better at them because it's like we've seen the ballroom stuff and she has been great and this seeing her do other things. It's really cool and she's getting better, which is always great to see. It was a double elimination. Like we already said, Tyler and Jackson went home. I, yeah, I could have, I agree with you that I thought maybe Julia was going to be in the in the mix here solely on dance.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Yeah. Like I thought Jackson maybe saved himself another week with his performance because it was by far the best performance he's done a whole season. I agree. I definitely thought this week could have been a Julia and Tyler elimination. Yeah. And Jackson getting by on this week because you're right, this was his best dance. I really, really enjoyed it.
Starting point is 00:40:33 I'm bummed for Emma. Yeah. I want Emma to really, you know, go far. She's so talented. So that ties into it as well. But yeah, now at this point it's real competition that we're getting to. And it's going to be tough. And I think the final four is going to be just a husband and wife battle on both ends.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Like I'm seeing a Val and Jenna versus Pasha and Daniela. Yeah, I could totally see that too. I just hope Ezra is able to make it to that point. Like, I hope dealing with any sort of injury or pain doesn't take a toll on him being able to, like, really compete. That's, that's a worry. But at this point, like, it really is where the competition gets so steep and you're so sad to see anybody go because they have really gotten so good and great performances. Like, I'm truly so happy for Tyler. I think he should be so proud of himself for how far he made it and his dedication and the work he's put in.
Starting point is 00:41:48 And I think seeing Sharna back in the ballroom has been so fun. I'm so glad she's been back. They were like we thought they were such a great partnership. And it's hard because I think you really do. You leave and you miss it and it's hard. And I'm going to miss watching them and supporting them and rooting for them. But they should really be so proud of everything they did. It was so great.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Absolutely. really should be so proud. And obviously you're bum that you get sent home, but to make it this far is incredible in itself. Next week is Disney night. It'll be on Monday night because of the midterm elections on Tuesday. So Monday night instead, we'll post some online reactions because we will be traveling for our tour.
Starting point is 00:42:33 So there will be no Dancing with the Stars recap. on the podcast next week. Yeah, sadly, that's, we are going to miss it, which sucks because I fucking love Disney Night. But maybe we'll, we'll just put out some, some clips on our own and, uh, and, and some social stuff to, to get some stuff out there just for feedback wise. Because that, they're going to have that Disney Night and Cynthia Revo is going to be a guest judge, which, you know, like is going to be amazing. I'm so excited for that.
Starting point is 00:43:03 And I love Disney Night. So I'm looking forward to it. Yeah. Cannot wait. And yeah, we'll definitely post like social reactions. Yeah, our schedule gets funky, a little funky now with tour. So maybe not a full in-depth pod recap, but we'll get our thoughts out there somehow. You will see our thoughts.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Do not worry. Exactly. All right. That wraps up the Dancing with the Stars recap. There is nothing better than having friends who support you and your passions. And it is one where you, and you see it, you go, nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Like I saw it. went, cool. That's nice. Good for him. Yeah, you know. But are we, here's the thing. Here's the thing. This is. No second opinion needed. No, yeah. It was a good doctor pun. There's been a lot of good doctor puns with this. Noah, can you also pull up the list of past? Because I feel like we always do this. And then we compare them to other years. And let's just immediately jump to just to have it, to have it up there. Because I will say probably at least the last 10 years, it's been like, cool. And it's usually an older gentleman.
Starting point is 00:46:21 Yeah, definitely. Not old, but. No, but someone who's a little more seasoned. Oh, well, last year was Jonathan Bailey. Yeah. It was. Jonathan Bailey was really a good one. Patrick Dempsey.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Chris Evans popped in there in 2022. too. Forgot about that one. Paul Rudd. Michael B. Jordan was, yeah, 2020. And see, Michael B.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Jordan is like a yeah. No, you know what I mean? Not like a cool. Oh, cool. Like Michael B. Jordan's like a, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Yeah, this one is, you're like, yeah. Yeah. And then Chris Evans is also like a yeah. There was a tweet that was like, whoever like picks them, like they woke up for like a few years and then went back to sleep. Like for like 2018 to 2019 or to 2020,
Starting point is 00:47:08 I guess. John Legend like. Idris Elba Yeah, Idriselba Yeah Blake Sheffin was a no The Rock is a no I think 2015 and on now
Starting point is 00:47:22 We're like in good territory Yeah, David Beckham 2015 is a yeah Yeah because then there was like a lot of repeats Chris Hemsworth is a yeah Despite that He probably not being a great picture Yeah that's not really good picture of Chris Hemsworth
Starting point is 00:47:34 But I mean that's a while ago Adam Levine In 2013 Channing Tatum 2012. Like, Bradley Cooper was, it's all, 2011, too. Ryan Reynolds, it's taken on,
Starting point is 00:47:48 it feels like it's taken on a little bit of a different form where like the nostalgia factor is there. And I think that people also keeps that in mind with their audience. You know, I'm sure they have the demographic and the numbers of who's still getting the magazine sent to their door. And they're like, well, let's make sure those ladies are excited about sexiest man alive. Right.
Starting point is 00:48:17 I did see some people guessing it was going to be Kyle Chandler. Oh, that would have been a good one too. And I think that's a good guess. That would have been a good one too. But Noah Wiley more current with pop culture like right now because of the pit. And trending up. Like people are obsessed with him. And they have been for a long time.
Starting point is 00:48:36 And I feel like, yes, because of the pit. And he's winning all the awards. and he's at the award shows and he's got his hot wife and all the all the good stuff where you're like, yeah, that's it's an acceptable choice. Yeah, I'm not mad about it.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Yeah, exactly. But I'm not personally screaming, jumping for joy about Nilla Wiley. Right, we're not like, ah! It's like, ah. Yeah. But I know that there are some women out there that are like, oh yeah, and Nilewai. I haven't seen those. I've seen only negative.
Starting point is 00:49:06 I think you're on a negative part of the internet a lot of times. Across all topics. Like, no matter what we're talking about, he's always seeing being negative. Positivity does not come up on his time line. I don't think so. I don't think he ever sees that. It is only negative and people complain. I'm actually like, oh, like, sure. But the
Starting point is 00:49:24 reaction this morning, I was like, my God, it was like they picked the devil to be I mean, look, it's same reaction to Jay Z being announced as a half-time performer. It just feels like everything, no one is satisfied on the internet these. days. And everyone has another choice. Like everyone's like, well, why didn't you pick my choice? And my choice was not Noah Wiley or not Jay-Z. And those people are very loud. And then the people
Starting point is 00:49:56 because realistically, like, we're not bothered by a Noah Wiley pick, but we're not like immediately retweeting it like, not bothered. Congrats. Right. Like the people that are retweeting are like, What the fuck? Bad choice. Posting on our Instagram story. I'm indifferent about this. Yeah, you're like, congrats to Noah Wiley. Happy for you.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Yeah, it literally good for him. But, no, I mean, and I feel the same way about Jay-Z. Like, I'm actually excited for a Jay-Z halftime. That is not the opinion that has been widespread across the internet. The response to Jay-Z has actually really blown my mind to the point where it has pushed me to being more excited for him because I'm like, well, come on, guys. It is Jay-Z. I'm just confused that
Starting point is 00:50:40 Does Jay-Z not get the same respect anymore That he's Jay-Z In terms of music? I don't know, maybe people are just like They want a genre mix-up But last year was a genre mix-up Yeah, but if you look at the last There has been two
Starting point is 00:50:57 Like hip-hop before this in the last 10 years It's been like every other year For the last five years maybe Is that possible? Well, it was the LA one Kendrick And then Kendrick But I don't think before that
Starting point is 00:51:08 Was there ever another half time that I don't think I can remember? I think we need to see a list because I'm not 100% sure, but we didn't even remember Justin Timberlake. We didn't remember Justin Timberlake. And man, am I still holding out hope that he comes out now? Yeah. So Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Rihanna. Yeah. That was the L.A. one, the weekend.
Starting point is 00:51:33 but before that it was like yeah like all bands Roon 5 Justin Timberlake Lady Gaga Coldplay Katie Perry Bruno Mars Beyonce Can you also tell me when JZ took over running? It was 2019 I believe The halftime show? Yeah 2019
Starting point is 00:51:50 2019 So realistically if you were to look at the ones that he has done there has definitely been more hip hop and rap since he's been doing it 2019.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Yeah, more hip hop. You know? Yeah. But I feel like the weekend Rihanna and Usher are all people that could have done it at any point in history. Definitely, definitely.
Starting point is 00:52:17 Kendrick had such a big year. I don't even like I think that was that crazy. Even though I think that's still the most highly watched half-tenture of all time, Kendrick's? Yeah. Yeah, that was a massive year for Kendrick.
Starting point is 00:52:31 I'm excited about Jay-Z. And I really don't care what anyone says. I'm on the same page to do. I'm more so on that side of like, because now it seems so many people are complaining about it that I'm like, well, I don't never, like, what does Jay Z need little amina? You know, I'm like, give him a chance.
Starting point is 00:52:50 Right. Like who he expects the chicks in the office to get on and be like, Billionaire, Jayce. Respect Jay Z. You guys have all made me go to the side of like, come on, everyone. Let's give Jay Z a chance. Is it really that bad? I feel like you guys are more telling me about the reality.
Starting point is 00:53:05 action more than what I've seen. I couldn't believe every single graphic on every single Instagram post that went up, like whether it was ours or e-news or people or like any pop culture news source posting like Jay-Z confirms halftime show. It was like
Starting point is 00:53:21 boo, all the comments were like tomato, tomato, boo, no one wants this. It was crazy. You know what? I want this. I want this. I want this. I want this. Proud. Season four with Jay-ZZ. Just Ria wants this. But I mean, that's impressive.
Starting point is 00:53:35 I'm looking at the top half time shows. Kendrick Lamar is number one above Michael Jackson. Wow. And then it goes, Michael Jackson, Usher, Bad Bunny, Rihanna. That's sick. Wow. Michael Jackson in what, what, 1990. That's kind of, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:52 That's crazy. He was so, he was so. What did you say? What? Kendrick. Oh, we were talking about Michael Jackson. No, no, I was not at the Michael Jackson half time. Were you in your mom's?
Starting point is 00:54:06 No. Stomack? Nope. Uh, yeah, technically, but no. No, she wasn't pregnant with you yet. Yeah. She got pregnant in December. Oh, no, February, 93.
Starting point is 00:54:16 I'm thinking February 94. Yeah. Yeah. I was at that one. I remember when Michael took that giant pause. So no, and my mom wasn't, and my mom wasn't there either. No. I was like Paul McCartney saying he remembers being born.
Starting point is 00:54:30 It's like, what? That's so crazy. What is your first memory? Um. I don't. Don't fully know. My first memory that I can really think back to is off the top of my head, the first one that came to my brain. I had a disease called HSP when I was three years old.
Starting point is 00:54:56 And it was Christmas Eve and I couldn't walk. So me and my cousins played doctor and I was the patient. I guess that's a haunting first memory. Yeah, that's a haunting first memory. A lot of my first memories are from when I was sick. Yeah. Yeah. Fair.
Starting point is 00:55:17 Because it went on way longer than it would have if the doctors could figure out what was wrong with me. But they thought I had leukemia because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. So it lasted way longer. And I was in the hospital every week. And I was put on like very heavy like steroid medication and would wake up in the middle of night with night terrors screaming. my head off and so my siblings were actually afraid of me.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Yeah. And that kind of like makes sense as to why they wanted nothing to do with me for a little bit. They may have thought they had like the exorcists. Yeah. It wasn't an exorcist situation at all. I just was having a reaction to me. I was having night terrors. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:52 So that's my first memories really. Well, I don't really know how I, like I think maybe mine was Disney World. Like, shit, man. Yeah. You know where I get, I get, I do get caught up in like what I actually remember versus what I have seen pictures and videos of. Yeah. Because the videos, I'm like, oh yeah, I remember that. But like actually having a memory, weirdly enough, I do have a, I have a very.
Starting point is 00:56:36 vivid memory of being in the cafeteria at a summer camp before kindergarten. So I was like four. And I was with two other girls. And I remember like the Italian ices that we got at camp and the chocolate milk in the curtains. Yeah. Hell yeah. And that was like part of our treats at camp. And that I remember. Yeah. Yeah, that's like that's, I actually, I actually can visualize that and see it.
Starting point is 00:57:16 You can almost taste it. Yes, I can visualize it and see it. And yeah, that's probably, that's got to be probably one of the earliest for anything before that, I think, is, is gone. besides, like, I have seen videos and stuff. Like, I've seen videos of my first birthday party, but I don't remember it. Yeah, right. I've, like, seen videos of, like, my baptism party. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:43 But it's not there. No. It is not. Like, I'm like, I can't hear the, uh, the tools as I'm being pulled out of my mother. Like, Paul McCartney was like, I could hear like, I can hear like the, the, what are they called? Like the force. No, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Pull me out. That's crazy. Well, maybe that's why he's so talented. Yeah, right. He's just has a magical year. There's some special gift. This says the average age for a person's earliest memory is traditionally estimated at three to three and a half years old. The newer research suggestion might actually go to two and a half years old.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Yeah, that makes sense. That definitely makes sense. It's around there. It's like where it all comes back to you. So, yeah, but. Take me back. To be four? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Not me. I was sick. Not you. My whole, from head to toe, I was covered in bruises. The pictures and videos are kind of sad. It's, yeah. I've seen some of those pictures. They are sad. Look at you now. Baby.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Look at how much you overcome. Yeah. When my, I had like really bad sensory issues and my parents always used to blame this disease. And I was like, I don't think, I don't know if that's the reason why. Like when I like couldn't touch napkins or throw people. pillows. Like I genuinely like, they were like it had to have been because you had this. Feels like it's a pretty good default to throw that off for anything. They're like, because it's also one that is not, I don't like, I don't know it's one that's
Starting point is 00:59:17 common knowledge. And if you look up. So you could really throw out some symptoms of that and people will be like one thousand. Like they don't know. Because also if you look it up like it'll tell you like it's gone in three weeks and like whatever. But mine lasted for like a full year because they couldn't figure out what was wrong. And also almost like a misdiagnosis. Yeah, they were just like, yeah, my parents were like, we... I mean, it was a misdiagnosis. They were, they were like, you had leukemia. We went home.
Starting point is 00:59:40 We were, you know, it was very sad. Crazy pivot, but it does, you know, like Christina Applegate not having MS. Yes. Oh my God. We didn't talk about this. It is so crazy. So crazy. I feel so bad for her.
Starting point is 00:59:53 That is so awful. If you guys didn't see this, Christina Applegate has been public about her battle with MS for... I mean, it's been a long time, I feel like, at least. Yeah, six years maybe. Yeah, I was going to say somewhere. And she's been doing a podcast with Jamie Lensigler. With Jamie Sigler. Who has MS as well.
Starting point is 01:00:17 And she revealed that. Oh, that's a good podcast name. Yes. Messy, but it's like MS. Yeah. Yeah. But revealed that she has been misdiagnosed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:29 And it wasn't, it's not MS. I feel so bad for her because she. she was told and they were like, congrats, you don't have MS. And she was like, I didn't take that as like a good thing because I now don't know what's wrong with me. And then also feeling guilt that she feels like she has presented herself as like the poster child of MS with Jamie Lynn, but actually doesn't have it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:50 And she feels guilty. I feel so bad for her. Like it's so conflict. So hard to deal with that. Right. So bad. You probably have related to so many other people and have had discussions with so many people about. Right. And it's not her fault.
Starting point is 01:01:04 About it. Yeah. That she must feel guilt, but it's not her fault. Not at all. So it's, it's terrible. It's so sad. And I... So scary. Really hope they figure out what's wrong with her because she's having all these terrible issues. I mean, she can barely walk at certain points. And she was in the hospital for a while and that's how they figured it out. So... I figured it was an MS, which is crazy. Really, really crazy. Yeah. Well, uh, anyways, no, what's your first memory? it's hard i feel like i have flashes like in my head like i remember certain things i remember in elementary school like the last day of school everyone would sit on like not you know like if
Starting point is 01:01:45 you stand up on it and then you sit on the top of the seat yeah and like everyone would be like like last day of school like at the window but i guess how old was summer summer i mean that's kind of what it was that's kind of a window cell uh yeah definitely elementary school i remember things pretty clearly. But I think I remember like moments from even earlier. Like, it must have been like... Like now I think about my nephew and I'm like... Isn't it crazy that you're like, he's not going to remember any of this?
Starting point is 01:02:14 Well, now he's a little over two and a half. So I'm like... So now it starts. Is he... Yeah, things would be for me. Mm-hmm. Certain things. Which would be awesome if he could look back and be like, oh, me and every year he did this.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Well, I think he'll remember like... But probably bigger moments. But it's like more of a general like, he remembers like, oh, I like her. Like I trust her. Yeah, yeah. But he's not going to be like, remember when we did that thing like a couple years ago? You know? Yeah, like right.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Like I'm going to have to tell him about the memories that I have with him. It's like 30 first dates. You should play a movie of like everything you've done for it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have memories of like our school holiday concert. Like we did a.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Mm-hmm. holiday concert before Christmas and the younger grades would always sing holiday lights, which I don't know if that was in other areas or if this is a very niche reference, but we would all have flashlights and we'd put like a colored film on the top of the flashlight so people had different colors. And then we'd all stand up on the bleachers and you'd say, holiday lights shining so bright oh what a sight this joyous season and then you go up down up down and our music teacher used to always get so bad mad because we would sing the up and down and up and down she was like you're not supposed to sing that but are we always sang that part too
Starting point is 01:03:48 all right so that's really in my head that is really engraving and like that we did that starting in kindergarten yeah i remember holiday shows like that but not that specific song yeah i've never really heard that song brought up in other places, so I don't know if that has any reach. No, I remember being dressed as like a cuty little snow angel at one point. Yeah, cute. I remember I played the monkey in our
Starting point is 01:04:11 like, I don't even know what you would call it theater. Like we were all like animals. Like, for whatever we were putting on it, that was the monkey. That's like in love actually when Emmett Thomas's kids like, I'm the, what is it, lobster? Something like that. Yeah, yeah. Kind of crustacean. And he's like, I didn't know there was a lobster.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Christmas. I didn't know there was a holiday lobster. Oh, yeah. Yeah. What a good movie. Yeah. Yeah, that's a classic. That's a classic.
Starting point is 01:04:36 We're almost there. But you know what? We are almost at that time. We started with this with Noah Wiley being people's sexes. Oh my God. Are we already into the topics? I just, I literally had a moment where I was like, I have to be so bad. I'm going to go before we do the topics.
Starting point is 01:04:51 No, no, no, honey. All right. Well, before we get into the second topic. That's how much there was to talk about with Noah Wiley. Before we get into the second topic, I'm quickly. Go ahead. I don't know if you guys want to start the second one without me. Go right ahead. The world's too loud,

All right, moving on, Jennifer Lawrence announced. her new hair brand. Yes. Mess? Meese. Your guess is as good as mine. It's spelled MES. I'm assuming a play on... Mess? Mess. Mess. Messy hair. Yep. Now, I mean, listen, if we're
Starting point is 01:07:48 being honest, like, it just is Jennifer Lawrence, so you just don't want to say anything bad. No. And it... Because she seems so funny and I want... Well, I like her a lot. Yeah, I love her. And like, Like she seems to be giving everybody attention these days. I mean, she commented on pages post, she commented on Connor Wood. Like, who knows? Who knows? Say something. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:08:11 Well, what I think we don't have anything to say right now. What if you walked by her and you didn't know? Well, or she would have walked by us. And she noticed that she walked by. She knew compiler. Which is objectively way cooler than if we walked by it. Or maybe she knows you and she walked by you and you would want it. No, yes.
Starting point is 01:08:30 You never know, but I'm going to have to wait and see what this product's all about. Because I didn't know that she was so passionate about hair care. And so I'm interested to learn more. I didn't either. But you know what? She is someone that has great hair, in my opinion. And it's sort of like she does that, I feel like she does that kind of like Blake lively look. Well, she has better hair than Blake lively.
Starting point is 01:09:00 You think. people objectively Blake lively has great hair personally I think Blake lively just looks like
Starting point is 01:09:10 she doesn't brush her hair well but when she does her hair like when Blake lively go and does the full Hollywood glamour like she's got great hair she prefers a messy look for certain
Starting point is 01:09:27 times but when it's done it's pretty good It's pretty good hair. Yeah. I'm not a bangs person, to be honest. I think Jennifer Lawrence has great hair. She does have great hair. I have never been, I understand that people think Blake lively has great hair.
Starting point is 01:09:45 I have personally never thought like, wow, Blake lively's hair. Really? Yeah. That's, hey, you know, when your hair looks like yours. No, I'm not being picky because of my own hair at all. I just, and I'm not even just trying to, I'm not trying to pile on Blake Lively. like this isn't what this is about. No.
Starting point is 01:10:04 And I'm not even trying to compare these two hair, but I'm like, if I'm looking at a picture of Jennifer Lawrence's hair next to Blake Lavi's hair, like Blake Lovius hair, like, Blake Lovius hair is about her. Ooh. I guess I haven't really seen.
Starting point is 01:10:15 Should we put up a pole? No, no, I don't want to compare their hair. No. That's not nice. Don't compare. I just go back to Blake, I'm looking at Blake Lively. I just like,
Starting point is 01:10:22 she has a lot of hair. She has a lot of hair. I think that's just where it like, she has a lot of hair. To me, to me, having great hair also means having a lot of hair. Yeah, she has a lot of hair.
Starting point is 01:10:36 As someone who doesn't have a lot of hair, I look at stars and then they have a lot of hair. She has a lot of hair and it could be great. Yeah. She has a potential. She has potential. It is potential to have great hair. And a lot of times it is great. Like, she just does that.
Starting point is 01:10:51 Sometimes I just don't like the way she styles it. The tousled look. Jennifer Lawrence's hair caroline is called mess and it is pronounced mess just by being spelled M-E-S. Could we see pictures of Jennifer Lawrence's hair? And it launches with a trio of products, a repair mask, a volume mist, and a restyling serum. Jennifer Lawrence has very... She's got beautiful hair, too.
Starting point is 01:11:15 She's got nice hair. She always had bangs. Also has beautiful hair. No, she knows. No. It looks like it in every picture. This one right there that is new. Why are you so upset about banks?
Starting point is 01:11:23 No, I just didn't realize that. I feel like... Oh, my God. She has bad! Has she always had bags? Oh, no, yeah, there you go. Yeah, she is nice, huh? So this is from a Yahoo article.
Starting point is 01:11:34 If Lawrence's foreign to beauty feels like it came from left field, that's understandable. The Oscar-winning actress has never been the type to share her beauty, holy grails, the way Healy Bieber did before launching Road. And Lawrence only just joined Instagram in September. Now, obviously, that makes a whole lot of sense on why she finally joined Instagram. Plus, unlike Blake Lively, funny they mentioned Blake Lively, she's never made her hair her signature. But when you think about it, a hair brand makes sense.
Starting point is 01:11:57 She does have some pretty luscious locks that she does. And over the year, she's been blonde, bronze, brunette, platinum. She even sported a famous pixie cut, though that big chop might have not entirely been her call. That was when she had to cut her hair for Hunger Games. According to a press release, mess is inspired by Lawrence's years spent in glam and the time and effort that go into maintaining great hair.
Starting point is 01:12:19 The guiding philosophy is what the brand calls unbothered beauty, an approach built on multitasking formulas that work smarter, last longer, and give people their time back. So I guess it's sort of a play on like, hey, you want your hair to look great, but you don't want to have to use 18,000 products.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Here's three that have multiple different uses. That'll help you have great hair. I'm guessing that that's sort of where the messaging is. We got a repair mask, a serum, and a mist. The mist is $34, serum's $44, and the mask is $52. How does that compare it to normal? I would say it's definitely like in the range of like a mid-range hair brand. Like something that I would, I feel like what I'm looking for stuff at Sephora,
Starting point is 01:13:13 they're comparable prices. Probably mid-to-high. Yeah. No, definitely mid-to-high. You know, that's pretty pricey for a volume mist and a, but if you're looking for, you know. Yeah. Like I'm just thinking of some of the stuff that I use from some of the, brands that I really love and yeah like my way leave-in conditioner is I think around $33 yeah and and that is
Starting point is 01:13:40 priceier yeah for sure for our leave-in conditioner yeah um that stuff stuff yeah that does smell really like like the overnight repair serum from crown affair I use that and that's $58 yeah that's like and that's like a price year you know and if you're because then if you go into like the kerosazas and all that that's expensive. That's high. Yeah. So this is definitely somewhere. This is definitely mid to high. Mid to high. In the mid to high range. For someone who really like I just didn't think that this is a path. Mm-hmm. She would have, like if you would get told me six months ago, I think I'd pick Jennifer Lawrence as like last of someone who would release a celebrity, beauty brand of some sorts. Mm-hmm. For sure. Yeah. But she did decide to partner with her name is Jess
Starting point is 01:14:28 Mina Igonovic. Agonovic. She's the founder and CEO of biotech beauty company Archaia. If you're familiar with Future Society, that's her brand. Future Society is already, is a brand that she works. And I actually just heard about Future Society
Starting point is 01:14:44 recently. So they're seeing how that will translate to a hair care line. She's saying she's not doing it to get rich. This wouldn't be a smart move. Her only goal was to get rich. Yeah, I think that's pretty fair in a space.
Starting point is 01:15:00 That feels... She said a smarter ex-plan would be signing up for a big franchise. Yeah. True. She's not wrong about that. But she kind of was in a big franchise, you know? And it's still growing. But it's saying like if she...
Starting point is 01:15:13 If right now in her career, she wanted to just make bank on something... She could just do a superhero movie and not a hair product and call it a day. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Exactly. Well, I'm interested. Definitely will check it out and... Packaging is super passionate about it.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Yeah, the packaging is cute. She's going on Call Her Daddy. Did you see that? Yeah. Oh, is she? Yeah. I couldn't tell if that was her or, I mean, it is her. But I thought maybe it was going to be McKenna Grace.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Oh, right. It was like announced that it's her? I don't know. I saw that it was announced, but it wasn't Call Her Daddy announcing it, but it was like Jennifer Lawrence's, like, the pop craves of the world where, like, Jennifer Lawrence's going to call her daddy. Oh, okay. But it was like the Bow and Arrow thing.
Starting point is 01:15:56 I feel like that was pretty. No, that was clear. I just thought maybe that, like, it was like, ooh, hype up to people. think it's Jennifer Lawrence, but there's a whole new Hunger Games movie coming out, you know. Right, then it's somebody else. But with her hair product launching, I guess that would make sense. That would absolutely make sense. Well, love Jennifer Lawrence and I'm rooting, rooting for this hair product to be great. Totally. I wonder, love some new hair products. I'm intrigued by the volume missed because my God, am I always looking for some extra volume?
Starting point is 01:16:27 Yeah, volume miss is actually not something I've ever really. heard of. Yeah, that's something that feels unique to me and something that I would actually try. Yeah. She said you want a volume that felt soft and touchable, but also lasted longer than a day. So rather than piling on hold, this mist targets what actually deflates your roots oil buildup. Still, it isn't your typical dry shampoo, root lifting styling agents pair with the brand's Arc 5 technology and Mediterranean microalgae to keep excess oil in check. In check. That sounds like something I could use. So maybe. Yeah, maybe. I'll do a little test. Maybe. Maybe. I do like. I love trying new things.
Starting point is 01:17:01 We shall find out. Last topic. This was announced on Instagram yesterday. Croshell put out a video and she was tearful. Yeah. And she began to explain that her and G. Flip have called it quits. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:17 And they've been together for four years and that's it. And it kind of seemed like from the video that this was G Flip ending it and not Grishell. Because Creshell was like, I am in love with G Flip. Yeah. But at the same time, don't know. Like the way she was also talking is just like sometimes things just aren't like meant to
Starting point is 01:17:35 sometimes what you think is going to last forever doesn't. That doesn't mean it's necessarily like a bad time of your life. You know, it's like you're going to appreciate the time. Oh, I took it as she's trying to convince herself that she's going to be okay and that G flip ended it with her. Damn. And it was interesting that she did a full like video. And G flip just did like a.
Starting point is 01:17:59 like did a two-sentence thing on Instagram. And Christchelle did say that. She was like, this feels deeper to me than just, you know, putting up an Instagram story that we broke up or something. That she wanted to hear it from her. It also kind of sounded like a public-facing couple is not, a relationship is not something that she would ever want to do again. It was very sad because she put up the video and there was like no caption,
Starting point is 01:18:26 no nothing. So you really had to play it to hear her. what she was saying. And I just had initially saw the comments of people being like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. And just hope, you know, hope she's okay and all these things. And that made me so sad because I, another one that I thought, they seem pretty solid.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Yeah, and Kershell seems from what I see people say, like just a really sweet human being. Yeah, we've never met her. I think we have been passing. I want to say maybe at like a people's choice award. I think we have. We did have her ex-husband on. Justin Hartley, a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Long time ago. That was pre-selling sunset. It was even on TV, I think. Yeah, I wasn't yet. Yeah. But I did feel bad watching that video. She seemed very, very upset. And I had the same thought too, because I feel like there's so many people that we know
Starting point is 01:19:25 that we're flooding her comments with just like how much they love her. and want the best of her. And that makes me feel the same because I trust that those people all feel that way. Yeah. So that's awful. That's so sad. And it's just that seems like maybe a breakup
Starting point is 01:19:44 that came out of left field. There could have been so many reasons so we don't, and we really don't know. But I have to been kind of hard because I bet I feel G. G. Flip likes to spend a lot of time in Australia. Yeah. I don't really, I wasn't, I didn't know like really the ins and outs of their relationship too well.
Starting point is 01:20:04 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it just seemed like from the outside. Mm-hmm. But that's how it always seems. Yeah. It seemed like I, I, if I had to make a guess that this wasn't Griselle's doing, just from what I took from the video. I could definitely see that.
Starting point is 01:20:19 Mm. Yeah. All right. That wraps up the topics. Okay. Let's be honest. Sometimes choosing what to watch is less about what you want to watch and more about what mood are we in. Maybe you want to laugh until you cry.
Starting point is 01:20:33 Maybe you want edge of your seat drama. Maybe you want to escape reality entirely. And I love that Amazon Prime lets you follow the feeling beyond the screen. You could find the shows, movies, and sports that give you exactly the vibe you're craving on Prime video. And with Prime's fast shipping, you can get the things you need to make that moment even better delivered right to your door. My current vibe is romance. I just want something I can get completely lost in. And I'm definitely ordering some popcorn because that's part of the experience.
Starting point is 01:20:59 I've been watching drama on Prime and it's been for. perfect and obviously I'm ordering snacks to go with it. It's basically your entertainment and shopping, sidekick, that gets the assignment. Because when you're curating your night, you shouldn't have to settle for just watching the feeling. You can actually live it. From streaming to fast shipping, it's on prime. All right, let's get into the pop corner. We're taking your hot takes, your voicemails, your opinions. Noah played the first voicemail. Hey, Chris. I know you guys definitely heard about this, But the new show on Hulu called The Mob coming out, the cast is incredible. I can't wait for, especially our Lord and Savior Joe Judice, to be on that show.
Starting point is 01:21:43 And then we have Maria from The Bachelor franchise. We have Demi. There's a bunch of other, like, notable people in it. But just wanted to see if you guys had seen it. I just saw it as a preview at the gym. so I immediately had to give you guys a call that was very funny looking and very predictable
Starting point is 01:22:05 for, let's just say, Joe Judas to be on in the best way. Gorga. Can I like to hear about. Love you guys. Bye. Love you too. Imagine they were like, all right, Joe, you're free? To go on the mob. Yeah. And he's like, well, they do film,
Starting point is 01:22:20 they did film in Italy, so he can be there. He could be there. He could go on to the mom. But, you know, Joe Gorga, which is confused. Because it's like they're Teresa and Joe, brother, sister, Jude Ice. Haven't watched the mob yet, but I'm definitely going to tune in. I think there's only one episode out right now. And it just came out this week.
Starting point is 01:22:44 So I'm really excited to see it. The cast is great. And I think that if they do it right, it could be, you know, traitors-esque. Because I think that's the whole, that was the whole point. Right. any way of doing a show like this. And Parker Posey hosting it is so fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Yeah. So fun. And they really did find like a very, it was a good cast of characters for sure. A lot of Italians. Yes. Which as it should be. You know, like it should be, there's just a, should be a prerequisite that it's like X amount of Italians and then they find out of people.
Starting point is 01:23:19 If they're going to, if they're going to film it in Italy and like do the whole thing, it's called the mob and the whole thing. Like you got to get some Italians. Pass it to the Italians. So. We will definitely be tuning in. I am excited to see this. I just haven't watched yet.
Starting point is 01:23:34 But we will. I think it's also week to week. So, yeah. Did you see that Andy Cohen was asked if he would ever do traitors? And he was like, no, I would get voted off immediately. I feel like he would be fun to be on traitors. I don't know why he would be on traitors. I don't know why he would be voted off immediately.
Starting point is 01:23:48 Probably. Just because he is like a big name. I don't know about that. I just think he's close to like all the housewives and stuff. Yeah. And maybe because I think what the people. People that know, just because he works, like, in the business, he would know every, I think he would know, like, who everybody is. I thought you were saying he knows, like, production, like.
Starting point is 01:24:07 Yeah, but you might want to keep them around then. Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? Like, if he can read people. Because I feel like Andy can read people. Yeah. Yeah. Hi, guys.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Hi, Ria, Noah and Fran. This is Sammy from Chicago. And my hot take is that I miss the original survivor, the OG survivor. Like, back when they would let them go into cardiac arrest. back when they would drop them in the middle of a field in China and they would just have like twigs to build a shelter. I miss when I was nodding my head and then I was like they used to be there for 39 days and now it's 22. That's not even a fucking month. It used to be over a month.
Starting point is 01:24:44 These people are wimps, their doors. I can't. Let's send you on there then. Seriously. I like when they had to sit in the rain a torrential downpour for like 30 days straight. That when people had to survive on survivor, I think we should bring it back. think we need to stop like come on thank you that's my take i hope you guys have a great day and i love your show oh my god i love her she's hysterical so funny uh bring back surviving on survivor that
Starting point is 01:25:07 seems to be what she thinks here's the thing it is still very hard to survive on that island yeah in the way that they're playing i didn't know that they cut it down by so many days they did they cut it down was the cardiac arresting true um i can't remember like a specific moment i might be blanking but like there are many times where people had to like leave because they got her or medical but they wouldn't make them stay yeah they took them off the island yeah um i'm sure you always have that option there's always an option to leave if you really want this says i just looked at it up it says no one has suffered cardiac oh on the u.s version i guess on on different yeah but there have been times where people have had to leave because of injuries on the french version oh yeah like
Starting point is 01:25:51 that's what you want to bring back i i yeah like i was like oh okay and then i was like no no, no, no. We don't want anyone getting seriously ill or hurt. So they obviously... You've got to remember they want to keep doing the show. So that happens. The show's over. Exactly. Yeah, I mean, I don't have a strong opinion on this. You know what I mean? Like, yeah. Would you ever do it or no? No, I've been asked. And... Not by Survivor. I have been asked.
Starting point is 01:26:20 You have? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. No. I wouldn't. Because of the elements. I have no interest. But you would want to, but it's like I'm saying, like you would do traitors, but you wouldn't do. Yes. Uh, yeah, because of the elements, earth, wind, and fire.
Starting point is 01:26:38 Um, I would not want to be out there trying to survive. No. I have heard that it is really fun and have been told from somebody who did it. Like, no, you should, but I still don't have interest. she can't sleep without a heating pad that's not true all right the elements would be hard
Starting point is 01:27:09 I need a fan yeah like the I would also never do Survivor not in a second like that I have zero interest in even spending five seconds in a place where it could be raining on me and I'm out in the open
Starting point is 01:27:23 Would you rather do Survivor as special forces Survivor Special Forces Really? That's like going out of your way to put yourself in uncomfortable situations, I feel like. Because like Survivor,
Starting point is 01:27:34 you could be the person who kind of just hangs back and this isn't a good method, but you could be the person that hangs back and lets everyone else like build the shelter and whatever. You'll probably get voted off pretty soon,
Starting point is 01:27:42 but you could go with that method. Special forces you actually have to do like the thing. And Survivor's like a game. Like, you know, the challenges you do, you're like doing a game. You know, wow, you win. There's a way more of a mental aspect of your survivor. Yeah, like special forces
Starting point is 01:27:57 like you're just pushing yourself to limits. Also, special forces, you can stay on the show and fail every mission. Like, you can not, like, you don't necessarily, like, you can be bad at every single thing that you do. But not leave. But you have to do it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:12 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think I would still do special forces. Hmm. I do sometimes think about, like, the camaraderie that would come with being on Survivor. Like. Right. It's like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Yeah, that is true. Of just like, we're all and sleeping outside together. But then when it becomes a, when it becomes like a single person game. Yeah. And you're not on a team anymore. And you're on an island alone. And then you're literally. All right.
Starting point is 01:28:41 Next one. Okay. So this is not pop culture related. But one thing I never have understood is when you're, you have reservations and they won't see you into the full parties there. Like, they're missing out on an opportunity to actually earn more money. Like, if I'm waiting for a friend to show up, I'm going to be. drinking. I'm going to be ordering a martini, a glass of wine, maybe a bottle of wine. And, like,
Starting point is 01:29:02 most likely that friend is going to show up, we're going to have the full party. Or even if the person didn't come and it's like, oh, hey, this is our full party now. They're still going to see you. So, like, it's just, it's so bizarre for me. And also, like, if you're in a small restaurant, like, then you're just crowding the space. And I've just never understood it. And I'm always polite and tie. And I was like, okay, well, wait. But also, and then previously text the friend, like, where are you? But yeah, it's just, it's very strange. know why they do that. So, and granted, I've never worked in a restaurant, and I'm old now, but yeah, so maybe someone could like me if they do have a restaurant experience, but I just,
Starting point is 01:29:37 I really don't get it. Okay, you guys are awesome. Bye. I'm with you. You know, I wonder what, I don't know what the full reasoning of that is. It's like just that the meal. Here's the things, I think it's also a lot easier for the people at the restaurant to, manage the tables when things are ordered at the same time. Yeah, I do understand the drinks logic, but let's say you sit down at your table, you're waiting for two people,
Starting point is 01:30:11 they're really late. You decide to order food, but then, like, now all the food's coming out at different times because then when the new people come in, they're also ordering food. So maybe, like, from that standpoint. Yeah, I don't really get it either. And I'm with you.
Starting point is 01:30:26 you actually bring up a solid point. Like, yeah, when there are times that I am seated at the table waiting for someone to show up, I do order a drink. Yeah, for sure. And like... But if you're waiting, you'll probably go to the bar anyway. Like, before you're seated, you're like, all right, I'll have it drink at the bar. But not if there's a lot... If there's no room and you're kind of just standing, that it kind of becomes like an inconvenience.
Starting point is 01:30:42 I did see a very funny... My friend sent it to... That was very funny, like a TikTok of what it's like now trying to... Like, eat at restaurants in... I'm not going to be able to find it now, obviously. to eat at restaurants in New York City. It's just like you walk into a restaurant and they're like, oh, like you could sit at the bar, but there's actually no bar.
Starting point is 01:31:05 It's like, it's like, you know, yeah, that's, we, oh, I found it. Hold on. Yeah, we don't really accept reservations. We don't really accept walk-ins. You're not going to ever be able to eat here. You can't really seat a party of five in this building ever at all. You can call ahead. And in three weeks, we still won't be able to see your party of five.
Starting point is 01:31:24 It's so accurate. You're in about 20 to 30 minutes. It will be occupied with another party, but you're more than welcome just kind of sit in their lap and snack off their plates like a little rat would. If they found like a pile of garbage outside, maybe. And yeah, the bar is first come first serve. There's no bar. So you won't be able to do that.
Starting point is 01:31:43 This is so, so accurate. This guy David made this video. The POV are trying to dine out in New York City. So many New York City restaurants that couldn't be more accurate these days. No, it really is. quite impossible to walk in anywhere. It's you, the, the, the spontaneous, like, walk around and let's stumble into a restaurant quite literally is impossible now in New York City. It is. And we must sound so annoying when we're talking about like going out to dinner and having reservations to this place,
Starting point is 01:32:14 that place. But you literally can't, you, there, yes, there are, mind you, there are definitely restaurants that you can walk into and grab a seat. Yeah. But, on a Saturday night now? On a Saturday night for a restaurant that is not even like want to say like a high profile like everyone's waving about it. It is still extremely hard.
Starting point is 01:32:34 It's really hard. And then the ones that like do, everyone wants to try because you're so excited about new restaurants in New York City, they make it really, really hard to get into. It's like, it's. And then it is it. And you walk in the whole, you know,
Starting point is 01:32:48 you need the whole party. You have to set time. If you're there for one more minute over your set hour and a half like they're rushing you out of there. Yeah, it's like really they're shuffling you in and out of those places. Yeah, yeah. But they are very good, so it's hard. Yep, yep. All right, let's do one more.
Starting point is 01:33:04 Hi, Rian Fran, a big friend of the show. I'm just wondering your thoughts on the new fourth wing casting, Emilio and Esther. I've seen a lot of discourse, people saying they love it, people saying they hate it. I personally don't really understand why people are so up in arms. I think they're both
Starting point is 01:33:20 cast great, but would want to to hear what you guys think. Thank you. I love it. I think it's an awesome casting. I think that the like book talk world has been kind of ruined by the amount of like AI casting that's done and they they draw up these visions of these characters that just don't exist. Like they make them so unrealistic like just this literally like an AI man. that you're like, well, that person isn't a real person. Like, why are we comparing this guy who's a real human to this picture that people are drawn up in their minds? It's not a real person. Like, we're not going to get close to that. And my God, do we get pretty damn close?
Starting point is 01:34:12 Because this guy's a smoke show. He's so hot. So I don't know what people were getting all rattled out. And it's like the littlest things they get upset about. They're like looking up. looking up their heights and being like, well, he's not tall enough. Like in the book, it's just she's looking up at him. Like, he's not going to be tall enough.
Starting point is 01:34:33 Let's all think of a little movie magic guys. Like, we've made some pretty short men in Hollywood look tall for a very long time. They'll figure it out. Like, they'll make it work where it'll, the side. Like, they'll figure it all out and they'll look good. And I really do like. the casting and then the girl who she's also uh esther was in um fuck what's the prime show we really liked we were liars oh we were liars really good in that i think she's great i think you know
Starting point is 01:35:10 you got to you got to hold the vision she was so good and we were liars so um i could totally see it so i i like it i don't find the need to complain like like you're just never gonna please everyone when it comes to those like fantasy world castings because people have these visions that are just not real people. So it's just not gonna be attainable. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:33 I don't know anything about the character. So trusting your opinion on this. Yeah. Yeah. This will be big when this is all coming out and such. All right. That wraps up the popcorn. Keep calling in with your voicemails. That wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. Thank you so
Starting point is 01:35:51 much for watching and listening. We love guys so much and we'll talk to you on Friday. Yeah, chicks in the office. A long time listener. First time caller. Look at the charts who does it the best. Two chicks getting paid in reality checks. You can find them at the gym. It's not even a flex. Last minute red carpet blew him out on the jet. Yeah, they're who you want to be. They're always on your screen. Two queens and they might be spilling royalty. A lot of topics that are popping here to get into. I know a show that you probably wanna listen to you. Who turn the heat up?
Starting point is 01:36:27 Turn the beat up. Record the pod, made a bag, put their feet up. The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up. Who's the pod that they all want to meet up? Who turned the heat up, turn the beat up? Record the pod, made a back, put their feet up. The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up. Who's the pot that they all want to...
