What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday, everybody.
Hi.
Hey.
It's been...
Welcome back.
Listen, me and you.
It's been a while since being you sat down since last Monday.
Has it been last Monday?
Yeah, just me and you last Monday.
Yeah, just me and you last Monday.
Then we went to Dancing with the Stars.
Right, right, right.
Then Roblo.
Then you were gone.
Then Justin.
Then we had Justin.
Then Gia on Monday.
And now me and you were here.
It's been too long, babe.
It has.
Too long.
Too long.
How you doing?
I have legitimately the worst.
I mean, we were together last night.
I have had the worst migraine for the past two days.
So if I look like I am my eyes or like swollen or whatever, that's the reason.
I have the worst migraine.
I got like a sympathy migraine from your migraine.
I don't know what happened.
Like that's not something.
that should pass forward.
But after the movie, I was like, wait, now my head hurts.
It just, I think it just happens because there's a couple of factors.
Yeah.
I got my period on Sunday morning bad.
Yeah.
Okay.
There was a full moon Saturday night.
I'm just throwing that in there because like if you get your period with the full moon,
it's like a whole thing.
Is that a thing?
Yeah.
So got my period was moving on Monday.
So that made me extremely emotional, obviously, the period with the moving.
Cried my eyes out all Sunday because I'm like, oh my God.
Yeah.
We have so many memories in this place.
da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da love it and then kept reminding myself like we're getting kicked out so you
you actually can't stay here regardless so you have to just move on because I don't know if I'm attached
to Jersey or the apartment you know I think it was the apartment I think it's the apartment it's all that
so I'm crying my eyes out but then I'm excited you know oh oh so now a whole new rush of emotions
that I'm super excited we move on Monday long ass day you know moving day that's a whole
that's a whole thing and we got movers thankfully
but we are in a walk-up and, you know, that's a whole thing.
And but it's great.
I mean, our new place is absolutely stunning.
I'm obsessed.
I'm so happy, but it was a very obviously long day.
And then I ended up getting a, you know, because you're just, you're doing so much.
I ended up getting a migraine at night.
Yeah.
And I was like, oh, okay, it'll, it'll go away tomorrow morning, probably with sleep.
No, no, no, no.
No.
Tuesday woke up all day migraine.
Yeah.
We got the Verity premiere.
I'm like, well, you know what?
You got to push through.
We got to see Ann Hathaway.
We got to see Verity.
You're going to the premiere.
You're going to the party.
Do that.
I'm like, you know what's going to happen?
I'm going to wake up on one day and it's going to be gone.
No, it's not.
It's still here.
I think it has to do with my period and moving and stress and all that.
So it's the whole thing.
But so happy.
We're moved in.
We're officially on the Upper West side.
Oh, my God.
It is like genuinely we were cracking up this morning because we,
live our life like we're in a
sitcom and I really think we were talking about this morning
like if there were cameras on us 24-7
people would be like these fucking people live like they genuinely
live like they are in a TV show like there's a laugh
track yeah like it's like we
like there's a laugh track after a conversation
no genuinely like our
so our apartment is two floors so last night
it was our first night like going out separately
and then coming home yeah separately
so we had the party Yankees were on
yeah yeah you got your shirt on
Yeah, I'll get yes. Go Yankees.
No. Go Yankees. A.1.
So I'm upstairs. Matt comes home and he's like, I'm home, Maria, and I'm like, I'm up here.
Genuinely, just stopped. And I'm like, holy fuck, we are so.
Oh, dear.
Literally, like, we're so annoying. And then on top of that.
How was your night, dear?
Yeah.
Oh, my God. I have some tea waiting for you on your bed.
and I'm in a robe.
Oh, honey, let me tell you about Anne Hathaway.
Yeah, and I'm waiting at the top of stairs in my robe
with a towel on my head.
No, and then on top of that,
our shower is a dual shower head.
So you could shower at the same time.
And it's not a sexy thing.
We're just standing there, butt-ass naked, chatting.
And we're like, this is insane.
And I'm like this literally I'm living in Matt's fantasy world because every like all the time when I take a shower he walks in the bathroom.
We just chat.
Yeah.
You know, I stand in the shower.
He stands outside.
We're talking.
You know.
And now it's just, we're just both in it.
The dual head really is something.
It's something because we're just like, we're like, are we going to get out anytime?
We're just sitting here talking.
Yeah.
We're wasting water now.
My parents, my parents redid their bathroom.
Probably like in the house we were going to.
growing up in probably, I don't know,
when I was somewhere between 10 and 13,
I don't know, I can't remember.
And I just remember thinking like, oh my God,
like this is so cool.
Yeah.
Because I would, I would, when they weren't home,
like I'd go and shower in there,
but I, just by myself, like I turned both on.
Right.
To be like, whoa.
Yeah.
And never did it cross my mind that they were like,
that that was so that like both people could be in the shower
at the same time.
Like that just like was not.
in my brain. And then when I hit the age where I was like, oh, like mom and dad could be in the
shower at the same time. I was like, this is disgusting. That is so funny. It is like, I don't think
it's something that's necessary. I'm going to be completely, it is incredibly unnecessary. It's
incredibly unnecessary. It is an amenity that no one really needs. No, but you really don't. And
obviously it was fun, you know, for you first move in. Yeah. But,
We're not doing this.
I'm like, we're not doing this all the time.
All right.
I'm like,
we're not showering.
You can coordinate showers all the time.
Like, that would be insane.
And it's just funny because you're just standing there, you know, like at the end of the night, like gut out.
Like, you know, I'm blow.
I'm like, period.
I'm bloated.
I'm like, this is like, you know, when you drink like, oh, it's so sexy.
Like two showers at the same time.
You're like, this is so funny.
But it's great.
We're so excited.
No one is.
more excited. Seeing Matt
live in the city for the first time
and him just like popping down to a
coffee shop and being like, oh, you want me to go
grab something real quick? I could go grab
to the, like, all yesterday. He's like,
you want me to run to the store and grab this real fast?
Want me to pop down and grab this real fast?
He's like running up the stairs. Like,
I got it. He's like, you're going to love it.
He's like timing himself. He's like, three minutes.
Your first commute,
you're like, I got to the office in less than
10. Oh, my God. Welcome
to the Good Life. Now you're going to know why I
I never want to leave my apartment.
It's so nice.
It makes so much sense.
And we were, it's been two days, obviously, but we're like, we were projecting.
Yeah.
Like when we were like, everybody wants to come to Jersey.
Jersey's great.
And now that we're here, we're like, oh, I understand the commute.
Once you're on the other side.
Once you understand that the community, the convenience is just so much easier.
And yeah, it was a joy this morning.
because obviously I was running late because I don't know where any of my shit is.
Like everything's still in boxes.
We haven't unpacked.
I got this migraine.
So I'm running late.
I still got here only 10 minutes after the time we were supposed to be here.
Yeah.
So that's like running late.
That's considered pretty good.
When you're running late from Jersey, you're running late.
It could be 30 minutes.
I could be running 30 minutes late.
Like I, the fact, I couldn't believe it.
I'm just, it's great.
Oh, man.
That Manhattan living.
It just, I feel like I've never lived here and I have. I've, I've, I've, have lived in Manhattan
for years, not now. I mean, I've lived in Jersey for the past five years, but before that I lived,
but I never took full advantage in any capacity. I didn't take full advantage at all. I literally had no
life. I was a fucking loser. I was miserable. I had no friends like genuinely like that. No,
I was a fucking loser. And I say that not as like a loser. I mean, I mean,
mean like genuinely like um i don't even know how to put it into words like i it it was like
by choice yeah like you know what i'm saying like you could have been out and about but but there was
things holding you back right and like i don't know i was just secluded from from everybody and like
it just was you know not the jam at all and now i'm like oh my god everybody wants to come
over i got this person this is sleep over
like it's so fun you know so yeah i'm i'm happy i was very i know i'm rambling about this now but um
i was very sad on sunday like yeah like oh my god cried my eyes out but now i feel a lot
better i think it was like the anticipation it's a big change change uh but good change though
yes very very exciting exciting excited for a new chapter excited to explore the
city that I once left behind.
Now I'm back.
It's been waiting for you.
Oh my God.
Dude, I'm actually loving Patient Zero, I have to say.
After the music video, it really grew on me.
The music video was fantastic.
I know you guys already talked about this, but that's my favorite of the four is Patient Zero, because I think the music video really amped it up for me.
But while we're on...
I do like all of them, but...
While we're on the topic of that, we had the Verity premiere last night.
Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Josh Harnett.
Harnet or Arnett?
Hartnet.
Hartnet.
HARTN-E-D-T.
Are we sure it's not Harnet?
There's a T.
Hartnett. Hartnett.
Hartnett. Heartnet.
Hartnett.
Hartnett or Hartnett?
Heartnet or heartnet.
Heart net or heartnet.
I've always said Josh Hartnett.
I would agree with you, but I was watching Entourage.
Oh.
the other night.
Yeah, they were talking about him.
And they were talking about him
and they said Josh Hartnett.
Huh.
You know what?
Maybe we got to watch him
being introduced in some interviews
and see what people say.
Can we pull something up
to see how his last name is pronounced?
Like an interview?
Do like a, like has he been on late night recently?
I'm sure he has.
Right.
Before the premiere yesterday,
I watched the entourage Aquaman episode.
To prepare you for the big premiere.
Oh, man.
Well, yeah, we were at the Verity premiere
last night.
Yeah, thoughts
I mean, we can talk about the movie
I just want to say that we both
We both walked to the carpet
Well, all three of us walk the part
I'll walk the carpet
But we were
I don't trust this I don't trust
The like AI Google
pronunciation
Oh that says heart in it
Heartin it
I think it's heartin it
Man I've been saying it wrong
No it's okay
It's not that big of a deal
Yeah
Hearten it
He's just that's probably why he cancels
coming on the show
That is probably why.
I don't even want to talk about that.
I was so upset.
I was so excited for that.
We thought we were going to get an interview with him before.
It was burnt.
And we didn't.
I was so fucking.
I told my dad,
like I was so excited because we love Pearl Harbor.
Love him.
Like, I watched Pearl Harbor a million times.
The movie.
No.
The movie.
Asshole.
Yes.
I was kidding.
Watched a movie a million times.
And I was like, oh, come on.
But, you know,
that we, but we were separated because,
ha ha, like I was running late, what else is new?
And that was crazy, by the way.
You had all day.
I know.
And then here's, like, I just can't seem to get my brain to wrap around the actual amount
of time it takes me to get ready.
Like, in my mind, I'm like, I need an hour.
Like that's, I'm like, I need an hour.
I don't need an hour.
I need maybe closer to two.
You know, I feel like any girl would be like an hour would be quick.
100%, but in my, like, I can't, I, there's something in my brain that cannot accept that I am someone that needs close to two hours to get ready.
I love you so much.
I really do.
I love you so much.
It's shocking you haven't figured it out yet.
It is genuinely.
There's something that I can't accept.
Is it an ADHD thing?
Do you have ADHD?
No.
I'm debatable.
debatable.
I'm not,
I'm not diagnosing you.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I probably have it.
No.
You know what I mean?
Like I,
but I'm just saying
I have seen people say
people who are
incredibly distracted.
I'm getting diagnosed with ADHD
that they have a problem
running late.
Yeah.
So I've seen people talk about that.
Yeah, there is,
there is,
well, there was a time in my life
and I'd go to a doctor and get that.
What?
I said, don't give her an excuse.
Well, I love her.
Sorry, ADHD.
We make excuses for the people
I am saying though there was a time in my life.
I mean, I was going through a lot of things at that time of my life, like post-college or
midst of college where I did go to a doctor and was diagnosed and was medicated.
Okay.
So you, so.
However, I did not like, I did not like how I felt on the medication.
Never took it again.
Oh, okay. That makes sense.
That makes a lot of sense.
I went to, because at some point you always take that test and I was not diagnosed with it.
Yeah.
And I remember my sister came at me to the doctor and she was like, no, I don't believe.
that. I was like, well,
I don't, honey. They're saying I don't
so I don't know. And also like
I was... Maybe this is just my personality.
I was diagnosed and then I went home and my
mom and I were like, nah.
I don't know.
That doesn't seem right. I don't know. I don't really
think that's what it is.
So, well,
okay, but back to the running the late.
Anyway, and there's something about like,
ha-ha, like, I
would make fun of
the girl that would take forever to get ready.
but I am that girl
and I think that's what
stops me
and you know
we're getting ready for red carpet
so I was like adding a little extra
you're getting ready for the red carpet that you
possibly almost weren't able to walk
yeah yeah no believe me I understand
and you had oh we didn't do anything yesterday
I would have no I know I know
well I got to the Phillies were playing I got distracted
oh please miss baseball
I said
Oh my God.
This is the only time I actually start to care.
It's like game one in the playoffs.
I was like, oh, time to care.
She got distracted by the fucking game.
I got distracted.
I had it on.
She's yelling at the TV.
Oh, fuck.
I went out.
I forgot.
I forgot I was going to the movie premiere.
I was going to move here.
She's in your peanuts.
No, yeah.
Yeah.
I just gave me a snort.
You saying you got distracted by the Phillies game.
In all honesty, I really did.
It's so fucking funny.
But I think I would have.
distracted by anything if I was watching
like Noah was stressing because
Well I wasn't stressing I was just like
Okay I was split me tell the story
Okay okay okay go ahead
So you want to sit here
You sit here I'll sit there
We were bringing plus ones
And so Fran brought Noah
I brought Sarah as our plus ones
That's listed on the thing
So you know I arrive and Noah's like
Am I not gonna be able to walk the car?
That's not what I was like
That's not what I was like
I actually totally envisioned that
No, that's what I picture happened
I was just like oh
Oh like I guess like we won't be able to go in then
That's kind of what I said
I wasn't like oh my God
I know I
Forget that we're on a podcast
And we're trying to be entertaining
You know
You're slendering me
Yeah he's like
Oh so I guess
I was like have fun
Yeah so I guess we're not walking
But you did get to walk
But the girl who in
I was only like five minutes behind you on the carpet.
Like you were finishing the carpet as I was starting the carpet.
Yeah.
Did you see me?
No.
Oh, I saw you at the end.
Oh, I didn't see you.
Like we were on the other side.
No, and I were there.
And as you were.
Oh, I didn't see you.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was you and like you were finishing as I was waiting to start.
Okay.
Yeah, I didn't see you.
And you're walking out.
Well, thank God you made it.
Yeah, made it.
And you know, it's just like, it's any time you need to be on time or you're running late,
that's when the Uber's like, cancel.
Like, I'm like, I, I, I really.
I rarely am I standing outside on my sidewalk, like waiting for the Uber to show up.
And I don't know what happened, but I had like multiple Uber's be like, nah.
I was like, God, you got to be fucking kidding me.
And then I actually thought, should I just run to the one train?
It would get me there faster.
Right.
I did think.
I physically could not do it in the shoes I was wearing.
Like it would have been, it would have been a disaster.
I had to take my shoes off at the end of the night anyway.
I was like, there's just no way.
thankfully I made it in time
we walked the carpet we got the pictures
Noah walked the carpet you know what though I walked
well Sarah and I met up first to get
a drink and I walked
from my apartment to there today it's fun to walk
through the city a little dressed up
you know yeah and just in your head you're like
I said to Rio like doing is that
was that Timothy Shalman I really
I really like the outfit you put together
thanks yeah I had sent it to Ria a couple times
yeah I'm not a tucked in shirt guy
I really have not in the white team
I had to because that jacket is cropped
so it would have looked like weird.
It was a great fit.
Yeah, it was great.
It felt very young Hollywood.
On theme?
You crushed it.
Yes, no, no, you were on theme.
I thought you looked great.
And when I saw, so Sarah was your plus one.
Noah was my plus one technically, like with the tickets.
So after you went through, Sarah was with you,
and then Noah was with me.
And when I saw the people who invited us
and they had our little names on the piece of paper
and in like big letters, I see Noah I've said,
look at them, I got.
I was like, no, you ready to walk the carpet?
Like, they got their name and everything for you.
She's very nice, the girl who invited all of us.
So like, she's a fan of the show.
So I think that's the only, like, no one else would have been like,
we're going to put her plus one's name on the thing.
But she knew.
So like, as a joke.
But she was like, are you going to walk?
I'm like, I don't know.
Like, am I?
Well, it was great.
So I was like, all right, well, I'll go.
And then selfishly me, I'm like, well,
if no one's going to fucking walk the carpet right behind me,
who's going to take my video?
so Noah I'm like so Noah starts filming for me and and then they're like
sir like it's your turn go so they're going so they hold so he had to stop so
honestly just one of the more like surreal like absurd things I've ever done like being
in front of all those cameras and them all being because they hold the thing up because
in my mind I'm like I'm gonna get up there and no one's gonna do anything
no they go like Noah Noah Noah over here
Over here, Noah.
There had to have happened
like, there was a lot of photographers too.
20 times.
And when I got to the end and stopped taking pictures,
I turned around, Noah's like in the midst of it all.
And I'm like, I got it.
I don't have my phone because Noah has my phone.
So I'm like, Noah, toss it to me.
So like in the midst of taking all the pictures,
he takes his phone, my phone out of his pocket,
smooth toss, clean tosses it right at me.
That was nice.
That was, yeah.
They were like, that was nice.
Honestly, that would be a sick photo.
That would have been a sick photo.
Yeah.
Because by the way.
Toss me my phone so that I could take the video
of him having his moment on the carpet.
Yeah, I wish you got the video earlier
because the video was cool.
And that was all the proof for a while
that I actually walked the carpet.
But when I first walked,
it was really like to know what's were going more.
Of course.
Because people were responding like,
that person put her camera down.
So sorry.
I missed your content.
Yeah, yeah.
God forbid.
Now we need to bring somebody
else for Noah. Like it's like we thought we were bringing Noah for us. Now we need to bring another
person for Noah. I would like to say Sarah crushed her job and
and got in front of the photographers and took a video of me and was like Maria over your
shoulder. And every time she said Maria, the photographers took more pictures. So,
smart, because she was making me seem. You got to walk in like you're important. She was making me
seem important. Exactly. And I thank her for that. I think that's why because I was
after all of this, I was like, my photos weren't on Getty.
like the whole night while we were looking
I was searching up like
and I'm like they're just never gonna
and I think maybe
maybe I just wasn't exuding like
I'm important I was like
hands in pocket like smiling
like I feel like if you're smiling they're like
I don't know I feel like they're like this guy isn't important
I can just tell I think that you looked important
I actually thought you looked important too
I thought you were dressed very well
I had to guess if I was I had no idea
because those photographers don't know who anyone is except for like
Ann Hathaway
Right like they're
there for the stars. Anybody else, they're taking
their picture. I would have thought, this guy looks important.
They're just like making sure their camera works.
Listen, I thought you were the best dress
guy there. Yeah, you did. At the whole
premiere? Yeah. Wow.
I don't believe you, but
Josh Arnett. Josh ahead, but
I don't even remember what was Josh wearing?
I don't remember. I don't remember. Exactly. I remember
what you were wearing. He was in a lovely suit.
Right. You know.
You had possessed. Yeah, that's so boring.
Yeah. Someone said I was
giving Tom Cruise and Top
on. Oh, wow.
Hell yeah. That's awesome.
That's every year.
One photo finally made it this morning.
Did I wake up at 6 a.m.
And check.
Open my laptop and church and it still wasn't there.
Yes.
Would you also like to address you typing landscape into your phone because the people were very
upset in my DMs about that?
The amount of DMs that I had going, there was someone this morning who said, what kind
of phone is that?
It's an iPhone flipped horizontally.
Have you never seen?
The only reason why.
What kind of phone is?
That is so funny.
The only reason I was doing it like that was because the website that we used to get
pictures, like, it's janky.
So the only way to, like, work it is to make it that way.
But people, I guess it's weird.
Like, yeah, I don't text people like that, like sideways.
But when you go log into websites and stuff, sometimes you have to go sideways for it
to fully pop up.
Yeah.
It was, it just made the visual funnier of you, like, holding your phone horizontal being like,
N-O-A-H space.
So funny.
No, in my, like, I didn't even notice.
friend was filming at first, but I was like, yeah, this looks pathetic.
You look over your shoulder and you just see me typing Noah Verity into Getty.
Yeah, that's so funny.
Well, we were in the theater.
We had a little bit of time to wait, but then the director came in, people from Amazon
spoke, and Dakota Johnson, Colleen Hoover, Josh Harton, and they came in, stood in front,
spoke to us for a little bit and had a little speech.
It was very nice, just positively glowing, of course.
Anne and Dakota came down holding hands.
They looked gorgeous.
Right in front of us.
I was like, No and I were grinning ear to ear.
And then when they walked by, like this was me waving Anne.
I was going, Ann.
She waved right back.
And no and I together were both like.
Yeah.
She didn't look like right after.
I took a video of you guys from across the theater.
Really?
We were not.
I sent it to you guys.
You didn't answer.
I was sat.
Me and Sarah were sat from not near you guys.
You were on the other side of the other side.
Because you had texted us before they came down like, oh, I
see them. And I was like, they had better seats than us. And then when they walked out, I'm like,
oh, we have better seats. You know that's Noah's first. No, I know. I know that in his side,
he was like, I have a better seat than for you. Realistically, what we should have done was, I should
have sat with you and Noah should have a side. But you didn't know which side they were in time.
No, I know. I know. I mean, you should have sat with Sarah and I should just have a friend. I don't know why
we didn't just like swap seats. Well, because like, we're best friends. Yeah. And we just
But that's kind of friends
That's our thing
Like we sat together at the Marty Supreme
Yeah yeah
Right
That was like no is my date
You guys are like movie buddies
Yeah
Yeah I'm not jealous at all
I don't know why we didn't think
To do that last night
I mean obviously Sarah
I very much enjoyed saying
Yeah like we had a great time
I'm just saying like it was just funny
That we didn't think of that last night
It was
I couldn't think straight
Because I gotta be honest
There were some really annoying people
in the theater
But you know
chatty chatty
I just couldn't think straight for a little bit
Yeah that's so fine
That's so fine
And they keep the theater so fucking cold
And everyone's in formal wear
And your feet are out
My feet were frozen solid
Frozen solid by the time the movie ended
I was using I brought a shawl
And I was like using it as a blanket
To like try and stay warm
And you know what I should have done
Which actually you know who's sitting across from me
was
Uba
Real House is in New York
She was right across the aisle
for me. Genius. She had another bag. She hadugs in her bag. And she put her hugs on for the movie. And I thought, what a smart lady. So smart. I was frigid. I was trying to wrap my, my dress around my feet. Yeah. To cover my toes. There was a moment I thought about just taking my shoes off and like sitting on my feet. There was a moment I thought about running home and grabbing a jacket and coming back. Yeah. And but you know what? I was so locked into the movie and we can't talk about it too much because.
it's not fully out yet, but we'll be able to talk about on Monday, and hopefully everybody
goes and sees it this weekend.
But, I mean, we were locked in.
And as book readers, all three of us, all three of us have read the book, there was great
discourse amongst us.
And I thought they did a really great job with the movie, I will say, because that
could have gone sideways.
And Anne Hathaway was obviously perfection.
And, like, what a perfect person to play that character.
and I was thoroughly impressed with what they did with that movie.
Dude, Ann Hathaway was incredible.
She was so good.
There's just nothing she can't do.
And it definitely comes across.
There are moments where it comes across like a little campy and all those things.
But that's just because the premise of this fucking story is insane.
Of course.
I mean, if you know the story, then you know that this movie is going to be insane and unrealistic.
I thought it was great.
I really liked the movie.
movie. I thought if you were, you know, a listener from years ago when I originally read Verity
and threw it in the trash, but also read that one right there. Yeah. Yeah. And, but also read it
really fast and kind of was captivated and disgusted by the whole story. Dakota Johnson in the movie
depicted how I felt reading the book. Right. Which makes sense that you have that reaction while
reading it because she has that reaction while reading it.
It's the whole thing I don't want to spoil.
Yeah.
But I thought it was great.
And I'm not just saying that because we got invited.
I would give an honest review about this.
I really thought it was really, really good.
I thought it was better than The Housemade.
I thought it was better than it ends with us.
Definitely better than the House.
I know that it's not the same authors.
No, right.
I feel like when you think of Verity in the Housemade is similar.
Similar stories, obviously different.
But like there are some things that are kind of.
Yeah, similar.
You know, a woman comes to live in the house
and ends up with the husband type
type thing, but...
You know what I thought they got really right is
the house. The house was perfection.
Yeah, that made me want to go to Vermont.
The whole setting was, like, exactly how I
I don't think they filmed it in Vermont, though.
I actually think the house is in upstate New York.
I still want to go to Florida.
I think maybe you can, like, go to that house.
I saw some influencers went to the house.
Yeah, yeah. I wonder if it's now like
on Airbnb or something.
They can go and stay in the house.
The house was so cool.
The whole, like the setting was perfection.
They really did pick the right setting.
And it just opens up.
If you read the book, you know, it's like manuscript or letter.
What do you think?
And then the book I just thought also did such a great job of, of reinvigorating that
debate and almost like having a different perspective from the movie.
Westchester County.
That's basically where I grew up.
You don't got to travel too far.
you can go to the house yourself.
Oh, there you go.
It currently operates as a wellness retreat center called Beckoning Pack.
Can you click on that?
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
Okay, so you, I guess you can go.
Should we go?
There they are.
Wow.
By the way, those kids, those kids were great.
Those kids were so damn cute.
The little actor that played crew, oh my God.
They were all the after party.
They were dancing.
They were so cute.
happy for them. The one star we spoke to, or I didn't even speak to, you did. Well, I said congratulations
to the parents. Yeah, yeah. You were like, you did it. Yeah. I was like, you fulfilled what I couldn't do,
girl. You did it. You did it. No, genuinely. I looked at the parents and she did a great job.
You should be really proud. Congratulations. My parents wish they were in your shoes. Yeah, yeah,
yeah. And they were fantastic. They were fantastic. The after party was really cool. It was at the Central
Park Boathouse. They just did a great job with that as well. Josh was there and Anne was there for a little
bit, which I'm so impressed by her for so many reasons. That was incredible. And she was bumping,
like literally and figuratively. Like she was she was dancing. I was so impressed with her being there
because, you know, we were complaining about our feet. We were like, why are we complaining about
our feet? And Hathaway is fully about to pop any second she's here. And then Josh Hartn
it was there and we go outside
we see him. We're debating if we should
talk to him or not. And really
I think if I had one more glass of champagne,
just one more. Yeah.
We kept it light because we knew we were recording today.
I do believe in my heart that I
would have went up to him and I envisioned this whole
thing and I just wish I did it for the story.
Yeah. And I wanted to go up and introduce ourselves and say
hey, by the way, you did a great job. We would have loved to interview you.
You would not have said that. No, I really
was sitting there. I really was sitting there
No. I really? Because I was that. That thought never crossed out. I just, I was just debated. You would have said it like you just said it. Probably when like Josh made me, you know, you were supposed to come on our show, but you were great. We would have loved to have you maybe in the future. And then walk off. And I envision that because lately this like new motto I have is that and it's to help me do this job. And it's really just to remind us and myself that these are real people.
They're human just like me and you.
And you can say things to people and they're not going to smack you in the face.
Right, right, right.
You can sit.
No, well, unless you're fucking.
Unless you're Chris Rock.
So I guess you might.
Yeah.
But I just mean like not to not saying be an asshole, but like, you can ask the questions you
want to ask in an interview.
Do your job and ask the things.
And just that's kind of just what I'm trying to do lately.
So what I was telling myself was last night was like,
Like that did happen.
You're not lying to Josh Harton.
And if you were, if you were to go up to him and be like, hey, you were supposed to come on our show, got canceled a couple days before.
That's not a lie.
And if you said it in a way that was nice being like, hey, we'd love to have you sometime.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not like, you know, fuck you.
It's more like we would have loved to have you.
You're great.
Okay.
And then maybe he comes on in the future or maybe he says that was really weird.
And I didn't like that that girl did that.
Yeah.
And then that's fine.
And either way you have a story.
And anything that happens is a story for this show
and it's a story for life
because everybody is human.
Okay, if we have one thing,
three of us at premieres,
it's not talking to anyone.
So you guys don't like this new motto?
No, I would have loved to see it.
No, I would have to see it.
In my mind, though, I was like,
he has no fucking clue
he was supposed to be on our show.
You know what I'm saying?
That's why I'm saying we should tell,
you know, maybe if we told him and we were nice
and he liked us,
then maybe he would be like,
oh, I met these girls.
You know, I don't know.
My only thing was I was like, oh, I would walk by,
I would have just said you were fantastic in the movie.
Congratulations.
I mean, when we first went out there, like,
there weren't that many other people.
No, it was incredibly possible.
I'm just learning that you have to ask for things or say things,
and that's how things happen.
Like, if you think about our last two weeks, like,
there's so much shit, we can't even talk about yet.
But if you just like, if you just say things,
you tell people things, then things happen.
And so, like, I'm feeling empowered by that,
I'm like, just go for it, you know?
So, you know, although I'm empowered
by it, I didn't say, and I didn't do it.
You were feeling empowered, yet we did nothing.
You talk to talk, you don't have to walk.
Okay, I am working on it.
That's what I said.
Maybe steps.
It's not all of a sudden I just really, nilly do it.
I'm working up the courage.
Fair.
I want to.
Josh would have been a good one to try out that new persona.
Right.
Like, you're not going up to Anne Hathaway, probably.
I probably would have gone up to Anne Hathaway sooner than I've gone up to Josh to ask for a picture.
And you know what?
Because she was taking pictures of people.
And she was also in like, she had an outfit change for the after party to get like she looked a little bit more comfortable,
looked like a like a black set like pants and top with feathers.
It was black with feathers.
And I thought, I'm in black with feathers.
I was just, I was just envisioning like me being like, and we got the black feathers.
Right.
We're matching.
But I'm just like, that's not.
God, let's take a picture we're matching.
Exactly, exactly.
Like, I just like, I feel like those parties are supposed to be like a safe space,
you know?
That's how I feel too.
Like you're not, don't be a fan.
No.
If you go out, go talk to her short, but don't ask for a picture.
Like, like, yeah, yeah.
And don't fan out.
Just be like, and that was great.
Like, congrats.
Because it's also like, it's like all industry people.
It's everybody from Amazon, everybody that worked on the movie.
So they like know so many people.
They're all congratulating each other, all the producers.
But at the same time, I totally would have asked Anne for a picture.
No, no, no.
If there was an opportunity, I totally would have been like to feel it out.
If there was an opportunity I would have taken, I would have said, Anne,
shout at Melbourne, New Jersey.
Yeah, yeah.
Listen, I actually.
Paper Mill Playhouse.
I didn't know her and her husband have been together since 2008.
They got married 2012.
Like, that's so beautiful and we just don't talk about that enough between the two of them, you know?
I know.
He really flies onto the radar.
And it's just, and just to acknowledge, like, Anne, what a year.
What a year?
What a fucking year you're having, huh?
Seriously.
She said she's going to disappear.
now for a while. I would too.
Watching them from the window.
Yeah. We also were right out. We were watching them from out.
That was the funniest thing. We were on the other side.
We were outside watching them through the window.
You guys, we all were getting drinks. You guys left us.
We got our drinks and you guys disappeared.
You were still waiting at the bar for your drink. No, we were still waiting at the bar.
We just let's try and find a seed.
Yeah, yeah. But anyway, so we're like, so we were kind of
and it's like, oh my God, there's Anne Hathaway.
Like, we didn't know that she was here.
And so then Sarah texted you, like, Anne's here.
And you're like, yeah, like we see her.
Yeah, we know.
We're literally up against the glass paint.
There's an outdoor area.
And you guys were basically directly next to her on the outside of the class.
No one was near you either.
You were like, I walked outside me like, where are they?
Oh, wait, let me look where there's no one.
Yeah.
There they are in the corner.
Hey, hey, guess what?
We had Primos.
We had, like, at a hockey game, like, being on the glass.
We were basically front row on the glass.
I kind of drummed up this whole thing where like maybe she would look over and we'd be like,
she would be like, what was it too weird?
And then she would wave and we'd like maybe do a selfie through the glass.
None of that happened, obviously.
It's fun to go home and dream though.
Like when I went to bed last night and I shut up her eyes, I was just like, ah, to be Ann Hathaway at your premiere party, the last one of the year.
Yeah.
And you're celebrating.
Everyone's applauding you.
Like it's just.
Right.
You're about to have a baby.
It's a beautiful talent.
It really is.
It really is.
But we had a great time.
Dakota wasn't there, sadly, at the after party.
No, she was not.
Well, you know what they were saying?
I forgot.
She's hosting SNL this week.
Oh, so maybe she's not going to have a late night.
I think she's busy, busy.
Yeah.
Yeah, maybe either not late night or had something.
Maybe she'd had to go practice something.
I don't know.
Right.
Maybe she's working.
Yeah.
But it was a great night.
We had so much fun.
We're going to get into Dancing with Stars.
We're going to get into topics.
But first we want to talk about
the Cornell 7 case that's happening right now.
Trigger warning.
Yeah.
Because obviously this is very intense.
Yeah. Sexual assault.
And sensitive.
And we want to be mindful of that.
But we are just so disgusted by this entire story.
And, you know, now social media has brought a lot of attention to it.
And thank God it has.
And also it's like this started because of a Cornell
Sun story.
So just incredible work
from those students
who felt like they wanted to dig
into this because a
civil case was filed
after this incident happened
in 2024 and
it's dug up
what this Jane Doe
has gone through
and how crazy
the process was
of basically
just really
getting no clarity, no justice.
You can read the full complaint and see how she details, you know, what happened.
There's drug use involved.
There's alcohol use involved.
There is, you know, a sexual assault.
There are multiple men involved in this where they had a, and they had a Snapchat group,
the fraternity, 57 guys where they basically said, you know,
it feels disgusting to even say out loud
but they just like hey free
you know what upstairs
and like there's multiple messages
they're like I love this frat
it's so it's so despicable
and reading
the full complaint
which I've seen a lot of screenshots of
and that's being shared a lot
of this Jane Doug going through what she experienced
and then
equally being so frustrated by
what the New York law is
and reading that and seeing that like
I mean just mishandled at multiple levels
it feels like the you know the DA's office was like
oh we let we sort of like let Cornell police handle this
insane and then that was just handled so poorly
there was a story that
while some were
there were some expulsions or suspensions,
but then others just had to like write an essay.
It's so fucking insane, disgusting.
The Snapchat messages,
there are seven guys involved,
but 57 guys in the entire Snapchat group,
and not one guy in that group said,
hey guys, what the fuck?
This is disgusting. What is happening?
But like, I cannot wrap my head around this.
The messages are,
will make you puke.
A guy saying shop's still open.
Yeah.
I love this.
It is so fucking disgusting.
And on top of that, you know, you have the original complaint that was filed.
And what Jane Doe had said was consensual or not consensual.
And, you know, whatever happened there.
I want people to understand.
And I think people do, but some don't.
clearly is that
there are so many times
where women have been in positions
where something has happened to them
and originally they laugh it off
or they act like it's not a big deal
just to make the other person feel comfortable
even though what happened to them was uncomfortable
and obviously that happens on a smaller scale
or a much larger scale like this
but it happens all the time
where women will just laugh
something off or write something off as ha ha or da-da-da-da because they don't want to make someone
else uncomfortable.
And so for people to go back and be like, well, she consented to, no, that's not, that's not
what happened.
Like I can't wrap my head around the, oh, she voluntarily drank or, or, you know, took
drugs.
And I know that's like the law or whatever that is.
It doesn't matter.
Like whether you voluntarily drank or did drugs, that does not mean it's just a
fucking free-for-all to sexually
assault or rape somebody for hours.
That does not equal to
the law obviously
needs to be changed.
But anyone even defending that law
I can't wrap my head around. The whole
thing is just absolutely
disgusting. It is so despicable.
This poor woman, her life, has
been taken from her because she dropped
out of school. All these guys
continued on in school. Cornell wouldn't
give her fucking tuition back. Not her
tuition money back. So she had to leave
school. She just stay in school.
Because they wouldn't give her tuition back. She's like finished her semester.
Yeah. And then after that, it's like now
she's going to continue her life.
And this was her dream. She came from a small
town. Her dream is to go to Cornell.
And everything was just absolutely taken
from this woman. And it is
so disgusting. The
faces of these guys
make me want to scream.
I can't even look at the
fucking disgusting faces of
these men. I can't.
And it's just the fact that no one
spoke up,
said a word,
it's beyond disappointment.
There's when you're talking about it.
There's certainly one guy who I guess
afterwards in the morning
saw them because he wasn't awake
and saw the messages and took a picture
of the group
because that's how we have that screenshot
whatever. It's like a picture of the
group because it wouldn't be notified
if someone took a screenshot of it.
And you could say the words like beyond
disappointed. Those words,
there's no word to even sum up the level of disgrace this is.
It's so heartbreaking.
And we know that this isn't the first time this has happened.
And it's, you know, the last time.
Because people, I just are so sick.
I can't get over it.
And I feel so terrible for this woman, for any woman who has, you know, been through.
And in my mind, too, it's like,
I'm seeing these statements from like lawyers of some of these guys, right?
And they're like, oh, my client was aware of what was going on, but wasn't in the room,
when this was happening, but had passed through the room at a different time.
And it's just like, that means nothing.
Like you still knew that that was all, you still knew it was all happening.
and that's what's so sickening to.
It's like, oh, that's your defense.
It's like, well, I didn't participate,
but I knew it was happening.
And that's just, like, so disgusting.
There's no defense there.
I don't care.
There's just no defense there.
Yeah.
And the law really is so fucked up.
It's like I did,
New York law can make,
this was a post I saw on Instagram.
New York law can make sexual assault cases
involving voluntary intoxication
difficult to prosecute
to be considered mentally incapacitated
and unable to consent, a person generally must have been intoxicated and voluntary.
In this case, Jane Doe says she drank voluntarily, but said she was later forced to use ketamine.
But still, how does that equal?
That doesn't mean that seven guys can come in and do that.
That does not.
It really is sick to think that that's the law, to be like, oh, you could be having, like,
you could think your night is going a normal night out with friends, you're drinking,
you're having fun, and then this happens.
And that could just all be wiped away.
as you started out the night, like, thinking it was going to be a normal night and you were
at a party and having drinks or whatever, whatever was going on.
And then there was also some text messages allegedly from her to one of the guys that she
was friends with.
And honestly, like, the way she responded was all I needed to know because in the moment,
it's like, your memory is spotty.
You don't know what's going on.
This guy you're supposedly, quote unquote, friends with.
So you're trying to, like, rationalize.
And it seemed like she sort of tried to make a joke of like,
ha, ha, yeah, like next time, maybe not a million guys in the ketamine.
It's like, yeah, that to me spoke volumes on what happened.
Right.
Obviously, she did not consent to that.
Yeah.
That message alone tells you that.
It's just all incredibly mishandled from top to bottom.
And it's so sad because it happens.
on different levels across college campuses,
across this entire country.
And you see...
Why do frats even exist?
Yeah, you just see, like, really...
It's so sad because it does feel like there are so many things in place
that protect these guys at these schools.
And it's just mind-boggling that that's the way it goes.
I just...
And even, like, you know, the DA has been interviewed, it's like,
oh, we know that untoward conduct had happened,
but it's very hard to process,
and we just let the, you know, Cornell police handle it.
And it's just, I watch his interview on CNN,
and I honestly was like, I can't wrap my head around
listening to this guy because I don't know, like,
yeah, I just feel like there's no, I know, I know.
When you listen to these guys,
somebody's like, there's no remorse.
Like, what, it's crazy because I guess.
And now is he sitting there being like, this is horrific, but and they got to like talk.
I know.
I just, I guess they're, they've tried to change the law and it's made it through like a certain
point in New York State government and then never makes it to that final, you know, being
signed to actually be changed.
But it's gone like through the, the first steps of it.
And it's really just insane that that that is the case.
And every detail you read about it, it's more and more sickening.
You just can't.
believe that this happens and these guys have just gone on to like live their life no no problemo it's
just so fucking just yeah gross and obviously opens up a broader discussion about teaching yeah
men your sons whoever yeah how to act how to act because it all it goes back to the
the discussion of like well the girl you know oh the girl was drinking and doing drugs like what the fuck
does that mean that shouldn't mean shit like that it's just right because all the men on college campuses
can drink and do drugs and be totally fine right like it should not have to worry about this yeah like
oh my god well uh i think every movie everybody should be forced to watch the movie promising young
woman that came out in 2020 and it is very, you know, if you watch that movie,
seeing with this case. And one of the parts of the movie that's being re-shared now is one of the
guys being like, you know, every guy's biggest fear is being like accused and it's like,
well, do you know what every woman's fear is? Like it's, it's one of those movies that if you
haven't watched very worth watching or giving a rewatch.
Yeah.
The whole thing is just sickening.
It really is.
And I know I said at the beginning, but once again, just like very proud of those female students,
journalism students who saw this story, you know, saw the case, dug further and published this, which is why it is.
reach the level of, you know, discussion that it has and obviously going so mega viral
across the world and being talked about is because they were, you know, brave enough to look
into this and post and share and write this story too. So. Right. And, you know, they're Cornell students.
Yeah. And I do want to say that my heart goes out to anybody who has been in this position that
doesn't have people speaking out for them because there are so many people
which is so fucked up and sad to say that you can think of the countless women who
have been through something like this that don't have people advocating for them or speaking
for them or making this, you know, a worldwide case.
And my heart just just breaks for that.
So it's just so sickening.
And I think they've really.
reopened the case.
Yeah.
Which is, once again, think, like, because of people talking about it and putting it out
there and you hope that, you know, in the world we want to live in, a girl like this
gets justice for this happening.
And it is, it's fucked up that there are, you know, laws that will stop that from happening.
So it really is.
It's a lot.
Oh, my God.
It just, oh, boy.
Well, listen, I know that this is on the top of our brains and I'm sure a lot of people who are listening today.
So we're going to move on, get into more of the show.

All right, Dancing with the Stars, Week 3.
Yacht Rock Week.
Yacht Rock. Not a lot of, not, there's some
Yot Rock. Like, Doobie Brothers to me, Yot Rock.
Some of these are not Yot Rock.
No. No Steely Dan. Although, do you know
that they are really offended by
Yes, I know. I watched the documentary.
So that's what I'm saying, like, maybe they are like,
well, we won't include you there. They don't approve. They don't approve
their songs abused. They probably wouldn't. Yeah, yeah. What about Brandi?
That's a classic song.
But like, for example, Man Eater is not a Yacht Rock song.
I don't get that.
Hall of Oates, that's not Yacht Rock.
Hollen Oats is actually...
I feel like they're not.
Kind of...
Here's what's funny.
If you were to actually Google, like,
biggest Yacht Rock artists,
Holland Oats does come up.
Really? Yeah.
I do have to say,
I love Yacht Rock at a barbecue.
Oh, yeah.
In the summertime, you know, whatever.
This was the most boring Dancing with the Stars theme
that they probably...
Yat Rock doesn't seem like a dance.
dancing like no it was the most boring theme they could have had most dances none of the songs are
sort of they're they're they're yacht rock like they're they're they're vibe it's not like uh you want to
be on a boat drinking a a nice cocktail and watching the sunset like it's exactly you know it's not
exactly like the biggest hype stuff no it's not so it was incredibly boring but we'll get into it
amber and pasha started off the show they are they are such a strong couple they got a score of 24
they dance a fog trap to hold the line.
Three-eight's.
Great dance.
Great dance.
She is a gorgeous dancer.
And shout out Pasha for continuing on because it got drilled in the face.
And that happens.
Accidents happened.
But they had a beautiful dance.
Like, she is really so fantastic.
And we should have known that going into this too.
I think we had her on our radar.
But it was like, you kind of wait and see to what.
happens, but just really beautiful.
And a lot of fox trots.
A lot of fox trots this evening.
This to me was the best dance of the night and they started
off strong. Although not super
exciting, I think the best thing. Beautiful, beautiful,
beautiful dance. Exactly. That was, unfortunately,
I think that just comes with the theme.
Right. That's why. They're dancing in those songs,
which is just part for the course, but in terms of just like beautiful
ballroom, nailed it. Exactly.
Yeah. Moving on to Julia Stiles and Ezra Salsa to, I can't go for that.
No one can do. Score 19.
I thought this was so fun for the two of them.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I really thought this was a fun dance for them.
I loved seeing her sort of loosen up a little bit.
Exactly.
Like, and this was more fast pace than some of the others.
I, this was my favorite dance that the two of them have done yet together.
Yeah, I agree.
I agree.
I feel like she's getting better.
I feel like she's loosening up.
And like she said in her package, you know, she's used to like being an actress.
And there's so many levels of, of, like, editing to her work
before it makes it to the public.
And this is just her, right out there live for everybody to see.
And maybe a little difficult for her to adjust to.
But I feel like Ezra's getting her to open up and just let it out there,
smile, have fun, relax a little bit, which is good to see.
Guillermo Whitney, the Fox Trot to the Pinoquilada song, score 15.
Yeah, yeah.
Look, they're having fun.
We know they're having fun.
I appreciate he's trying.
I appreciate how much effort he is putting into it, truly.
Ed Whitney really does such a good job with this choreography and the, and, you know, the fun element of it,
tossing the umbrella.
And he, you can see him really trying.
He's really trying.
I, I think I feel differently between, because I know he's getting the Andy debate.
Yeah.
I feel different.
Different.
We're watching it as we're talking.
Yeah, yeah.
Differently about him and Andy because, you know, sue me.
I think Giermo's taking it more seriously.
I don't know why.
That's just the vibe I get.
I feel like Giermo.
I don't know about that.
I think Andy was taking you really fucking seriously.
I think Giermo is more, sorry, maybe not taking seriously.
I don't know if I can say Germo is a better to answer.
I think Giermo is improving week to week.
that's fair so maybe not taking maybe i think andy did take it seriously sorry don't don't come after me
yeah no no i sound like carry ann yeah yeah no no no let me speak let me speak um but i do think he is
improving week to week gyramo and i'm starting to think maybe we were hard on andy last year because
here's where i'm coming from but here's the thing that andy stuff like we're early like do you think
people are going to turn on Guillermo in like four weeks.
They're already happening. It's already happening. Now I'm
thinking of it and I'm like,
why shouldn't Guillermo get a shot
to be there just like everybody else?
Yeah, no. And so that was the Andy debate.
You know, we grow.
The years go by. The years
start coming and they don't stop coming.
Yeah. And you hit the ground running.
Yes. And here's the thing.
Your opinion changes on things.
And we're not at the level where
where fantastic dancer
are being sent home instead of Guillermo.
Well, like,
because people would disagree about
about Hanson and Brett last night.
Yes, and that's where
that's where the conversation stemmed.
Like, that's where the conversation started with Andy for me
last season.
Right. Is when you were like,
oh, like, oh, we're,
you're getting robbed of, of
other dancers that's
are technically better.
But then there'd be equal people saying you're getting robbed of
the joy that Kiermo brings if you get sent home.
No, I, what, absolutely.
Absolutely. Absolutely.
But that's what they want and that's what this is what Dancing with the Stars wants when they cast people like this on the show.
I will say you can't.
They want that debate.
It causes crazy controversy.
People get so riled up about it.
And it creates conversation and that's what they want.
They want people talking about the show.
I will say a good thing to look at is the views on they post the full dances.
Guillermo each week has by far the most views on this video.
So like, yeah.
Look, the people love Guillermo.
It's dancing for the people.
And he's dancing for the people.
He's right there on his belly.
He's just having fun and he's grooving.
Yeah, he's dance for the people.
But my issue too is where it's like then the judge's element comes into it
where it's like, Guillermo can be commended.
You can, with your words, commend Guillermo for what he's doing.
But his scores still need to reflect the dances that is being danced.
And the dance that is being danced.
The dance that is being danced.
And for Carrie Ann to score that dance, the same as Tyler's dance?
I got a big problem with that.
Big problem.
I got a big problem with that.
I don't think that's, I think that's crazy.
And I'm jumping ahead for a quick second while you bring up Tyler or should we wait?
No, let's wait.
Well, I think we'll wait.
But you know what?
Am I smiling ear to ear watching Geremo dance?
Absolutely.
Like, without a question.
Tatiana and Jan had a quick step to man eaters, 21.
They got three sevens.
Gorgeous dance.
What happened to the camera operator midway through the dance?
Jan posted it.
Yeah.
And he posted like a side by side what the dance actually looked like gorgeous.
Wait, what?
Oh, they cut to the crowd.
They cut to the crowd in the middle of the dance.
We missed like like five seconds in the dance.
He did a full split.
Yeah.
They cut the crowd.
Morris friends.
Yeah.
But you know what?
Talk about someone that is getting better week to week.
Fantastic.
The quick step is so hard.
I thought she was amazing.
So good.
And I think she has such a stage presence.
She was rocking it.
I have to say like here we're like, what the fuck?
Why did they cut to the audience?
And then last week people were pissed.
they cut to the audience, it was us.
Yeah.
You were like,
No, but like that's,
this is despicable.
That was fitting for the dance.
That was part of the dance.
That was part of the dance.
This like, this had no,
there was no, like that was a mistake.
Right.
That was a, that was a camera mistake.
That was a mistake.
She nailed this though, like,
so good.
She's definitely getting better week to week.
She is.
I'm loving watching her.
I thought that was fantastic.
Jenna and Harry did a jive
to you make my dreams come true.
Look, when I saw,
because there were so many fox trots
and when I saw the lineup last week
of like what dance and song everybody was doing
and I saw that Harry was doing a jive
and Tyler was doing a jive I went
oh fuck
right you know because it's like
when you're like the only ones
doing a jive and you have
the best male dancer arguably
just but it's like okay
hip hop master yeah yeah
yeah yeah but I I love
I actually love
no he was so good no he was so good I love this jive
it was so entertaining
so good
I mean, he's just, he's so good.
He's so fucking good.
I'm just like hating just to hate because he's funny.
No, I know. Because he's such a fantastic dancer.
Right.
But you know that if I'm Tyler, I'm up in the skybox.
I'm watching this.
I'm going, fuck.
I'm like, fuck this guy.
You think if you're Tyler in this scenario you want to go before him, you're like,
100%.
You don't want to follow this up.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
I mean, he does the jump split.
He does the whole thing.
It's just like.
The two of them are so fucking good.
And Jenna just pumped.
so much jive content into this too.
It was really pretty flawless.
It was really pretty flawless.
Yeah, he did flip.
He did a flip.
It was fantastic.
I mean, he's an unbelievable dancer.
We knew that already.
And loved seeing some of his glee cast in the crowd.
He had some of his gray's anatomy and glee cast in the crowd.
He's amazing.
In the crowd.
Which was so good.
They got three eights.
very well done. Taylor Hanson and Britt danced a fox trot to what a fool believes.
Score of an 18. You know, the judge's comments are tough because I know people think like
they're way tougher on some people than they are others. In defense of the judges, though,
I do think that there's like a certain level of feedback that you can give people that you know
have the potential to get better. So it's I feel, sometimes I feel like they are a little harsher
on those people because they're like, if you fix these things, you can get better.
When it comes to like Guillermo, I think they are like, we know that the threshold isn't
that high.
So they are nicer because they're just like, oh, we know that if we say like, hey, you got to
make sure your feet turn in or this, that, or your lack of effort or, you know, whatever
is like not going to be that good.
He, unfortunately, I think it's just.
just wasn't that exciting this dance.
But at the same time, it's like, I don't know.
I don't think Yacht Rock helped anybody.
I think, yeah, I don't think Yacht Rock really lifted anybody up.
But they were unfortunately sent home.
I'm bummed for Britt.
I really am.
I'm just so gutted for her.
And she seemed so upset.
I don't blame her.
I mean, the fact that she wanted Harry Schum.
Yeah.
She doesn't get him.
Well, did you see that apparently?
Taylor wanted.
All right.
But like, no, I know, but I just think in that case,
sometimes they're probably going to go with the,
with the,
with the request of the star.
Right. But the Brit openly was like,
I want Harry.
Like, she's talked about it.
Before Harry, like,
like,
Harry was even on the show.
Yeah.
So it's like, you know, she,
I feel like she's owed some loyalty.
Yeah.
She's been there for so long.
She's done so many years.
They made her be in troop for so many years before they made her a pro.
Like,
she deserves to make it to the end with somebody.
It's like, at what point do you,
you got to give her somebody that can take her there.
I hope they do.
And I felt so bad because I really do think she was shocked.
I also felt so bad because right when they were eliminated,
you could see her saying to Taylor like, I'm so sorry.
Like I'm so sorry, which broke my heart because I'm like,
this is not your fault, you know?
It's what are you apologizing for?
But it really, and you could just see the devastation.
She was clearly very upset.
And I don't think that has to do with anybody else on the show.
I don't think that has to do with anything besides Brits' own personal journey and just being like,
you got to be upset when this is another year of kind of getting out in those early rounds
where you're just like, when is it going to be my time?
She deserves it.
She really does.
And it's a huge bummer.
Yeah.
Moving on to Maura and Mark, they did a quick step to turn your love around.
They got a score of 22.
They are just great.
They are rock stars.
These two are just fantastic.
And like all the judges raved, her arms, just gorgeous.
Really, really gorgeous.
She just, she kind of has that Alex Earl effect, you know, where just like your limbs are just stunning.
And when you're in frame like that, it's just the perfect image of what it's supposed to look like.
Classy, gorgeous, beautiful quick step.
They're great, obviously.
So good.
Yeah.
They're just showmen.
And I just like, Maura.
You're doing a great job.
Stop putting so much pressure on yourself.
Like, I feel bad that she's just,
the nerves are eating her alive.
It seemed like she was able to loosen up this week.
But her talking back to week two,
and we saw it.
We were right in front of her before that dance.
She was so fucking nervous.
And I'm so glad that hopefully,
like, as this process continues for her,
she can, like, breathe a little bit.
Absolutely.
Sierra and Brandon dance a cha-cha.
To never too much Luther Vandross.
They got an 18.
I love to see.
seeing her have some fun. Like, I think doing the whole Karma Brown brought out a, like a persona in her
to really shake that cha-cha. Once again, there's another one where it's like, oh, the judges were
very particular with their critique, but I think it's only because she can be such a great dancer
that they want her to get better. Yeah. And just like little fixes and she'll be so great. This
dance was really fun. Yeah, I thought this was so fun. I loved their costumes. Love the costumes.
But I thought it was really fun, and I said this last week about Sierra, and I think that she's going to get so much better as well, is that I feel like you can tell that she's, like, thinking about the steps rather than like kind of flowing through it.
But obviously, they just started. They're on week three, and I think a lot of them do that. I don't think it's just her. But she just is, she has so much potential. And they are such a fun pair. Yeah, they really are. They're fun to watch. Jackson and Emma did a pasta dope like to Easy Lover, also scored in 18.
sorry, I'm bored by him.
I, yeah.
No, why did I just say that?
Oh, no.
I saw people saying, spend less time on the TikToks and more time practicing.
No, because I love Emma so much.
I feel, I just don't, listen, I got to be honest though.
I love Emma so much.
I'm so obsessed with Emma.
I think everybody knows that by now.
I say it every single week.
I think she's one of the coolest people I've ever met in my life.
Yeah.
And one of the most talented ever.
I'm bored by him.
Well, I also just think this dance style really did not suit him.
Like, I just don't.
I don't know.
It just didn't suit him in my opinion.
I think I'm just like bored by his like persona.
You're not a Savannah banana head or whatever there.
I'm no.
I'm not.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I remember like it's see this is what I mean by opinions change.
Before the scene started I was like these two are going to the finale.
They're going to be so fun.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Flip flopping here.
No, we need a little bit more from him for sure.
He's just not doing what.
I thought he was going to be doing for me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's my personal opinion. I think maybe we just
had really high expectations on like showmanship and it's not quite meeting. Yeah. Like where's the
banana? Right. You know, I don't know. It's slacking. I get it. Where's the, where's the greatest
showman? Exactly. Yeah. Connor Wood and Riley, Foxxrotta everywhere. One of my favorite
songs ever. Score 20. Love these two. That's also not yacht rock to me everywhere.
I agree. I agree. I don't think that's yacht rock at all.
But, uh, love the mullet.
I just really am enjoying this pair.
Me too.
They're just fun.
They're cute.
They are.
They are.
They crack me up.
Having a good time.
He's trying so hard.
Yeah, yeah.
Another person that's really trying.
How hard he's trying.
And he's getting better.
He is.
And he's very funny, obviously.
So he makes things funnier with his reactions to what's happening.
Yeah.
But this is a great pair.
And I thought that he.
Foxshot once again.
It's, yeah.
I think that's also why the night, like, you weren't, I was just
blown away by the evening in general because so many people dance in
Fox Trot and while technically a Fox Trot is very hard.
Like all they all talk about how deceivingly hard a Fox Trot is.
It's not the most like exciting dance to watch, you know, if that makes sense.
Just.
But it is people like Amber's Fox Trot, stunning.
But I thought they did a great job.
Yeah.
And they are and they are getting better.
Jenna and Val danced to Samba to Africa.
They scored a 21.
I got to say I know and I know there was.
some disagreement on this and people and I think Jenna is obviously a fantastic dancer but I
really agreed with what Carrie Ann was saying that she does attack I do too everything and that is the
kind of dancer she's always been but with certain ballroom you sort of how to rain it in a little bit
and some and it just needs to be rained in a little bit like not a lot like 10% right just more
just like a little flow rather than hit hit hit hit right I did understand what you
was saying.
The intensity.
The intensity
doesn't have to be so intense.
Yes.
He looks pretty intense too though.
No,
and Val's a very intense dancer as well.
I think Val also dances like that.
Watching Val at the end of this
be just like hair down,
sweating like a fucking animal.
He looks like Tarzan out there.
He looks like Tarzan.
Literally like Tarzan.
It's just.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
I was killing me.
Like the way he looked primal
at the end.
Like breathing,
watching the scores.
Yeah, I know.
You watch him.
I'm sorry.
My head hurts so bad.
I'm trying to a laughing.
It hurts.
When you watch him,
getting his scores,
and he's like,
I know, it's crazy.
It's actually crazy.
Oh, man, I know.
Then we had
Tyler and Sharna
did their jive to still the one.
They had a 17.
Carriand gave him a five,
which blew my mind.
I thought he really, like,
and it's hard because the five probably came from the fact
that he was off the music to start.
He did get it back,
but I know he was probably upset about that too.
They actually, like, after they gave the scores,
they cut to Tate in the crowd,
and she was like, are you kidding me?
Like, are you serious?
Like, she obviously was upset about it too.
Yeah.
We were also saying that crazy to cut to Hannah Brown.
No, no.
I have such a problem with this.
Like, Tate is a better woman than I.
Yeah, yeah.
A stronger woman than I.
Yeah.
Because I would have been on the news for attacking an ABC cameraman the next morning if my
fiancee gets up there and they pan to Hannah Brown before me.
Are you fucking kidding me?
Are you fucking serious?
It is just, it is so rude.
It is despicable.
Get the fuck over at ABC.
It didn't happen.
it didn't work
he's in love with Tate
Tate and Tyler are getting married
fucking deal with it
and Hannah is married by the way
Hannah's already married
Yeah okay so so stop
I couldn't agree more
I'm so mad about it
I made my blood boil
Yeah
Wait who was she there to the support
She's been she won to the stars with Alan
So she's there but they
You pant to her
And then by the way
the sinking, sorry, is that a flurry or a book?
No, I think it's a little dust.
The sinking up of, the song is still the one.
And this is the way my brain works.
And this is why I say Tate's a stronger one than I.
Because I'm thinking, oh, the song's still the one.
Then they pan to Hannah and they're like, still the one.
And then Alfonso goes, and then it pans to Tate.
And Alfonso goes, yeah, that's the one.
but he's not watching the TV, right?
He was saying that was the one,
like that was the dance.
But if you're watching on TV,
if you bring it up,
it sounds like it goes to Hannah
and then they go to Tate and he's like,
yeah, that's the one,
like they got the wrong one.
I'm so mad about it.
I really am.
I couldn't even focus on how I felt
about his scores and dance after.
Yeah.
Because I just was like,
if I'm Tate and Tate is so wonderful,
like she, you know,
I'm mad for,
her. Yeah. Get the fuck over it, ABC. Get over it. Don't do that shit ever again. Yeah. Don't do it.
Looking at you. I am. I know. No, so fair. I couldn't agree more. Um, on top of that,
oh, by the way, I actually just want to mention because Ezra and Daniela went last. They did a
fox shot to just the two of us. They got 21. I just the two of us. We can make it if we try. Just the two.
of us.
Great song.
Also,
not a year.
Yeah.
Let me tell you
something.
I could watch
hours of them
dancing.
They are so incredible.
I love that
this season is just like
kind of panning out
to be the Poshkov show
because they fucking deserve it
and that household
they got Olympians
and they are
really showing them off.
It was such a,
another absolutely beautiful dance.
I am just in awe of him
every time they dance.
Me too.
So good. He's been making such funny videos. He made a video about like, what do you think it sounds like when I put my leg on? Yeah, yeah. Now, let me just say this. I saw people saying, and I think that this is a spectacular idea, that for Halloween night or horror night or whatever it is, they got to like take his his leg off and like do something with it. They could certainly do that. You know what I mean? Like, that might sound fucked up saying. Yeah, yeah. I don't think he, I think he's very open about like joking about.
and like he's making these TikToks.
People are like
Daniela should choreograph
something like crazy.
Crazy with that.
Because that would be very cool.
It's certainly there and we know that she
has a creative mind.
And the Halloween juices
is where she shines.
The last thing I wanted to say about the episode
and I just kind of dancing with the stars in general
is
and I'm whispering this.
I'm seeing
we're seeing what Brian Austin
reading's putting out there
and we just like to say to him
cut that shit out
you know
just listen to me
bag
cut that shit out
Sharn is a fantastic woman
she's working
she's back in the ballroom
for the first time in years
support her period
that's it
I don't want to hear you whining
on social media
that she's not there
is giving you enough care
giving you enough time
she's busy
She's busy, and this is why guys, vote Tyler to 21, 5, 23.
Yeah.
Vote Tyler to 2,000, 2,3 and all the other people you want to vote for, but make sure
you're voting Tyler as well, because we are obviously voting for other people, but we are
voting for Tyler.
And you actually deserve, I hope Sharna stays in as long as possible so that you can deal
with shit yourself.
No, seriously, like, get the fuck.
You know, I'm just, ugh, get the fuck over it, okay?
No, I know.
Deal with it that you're, I'm sorry.
She probably doesn't want me to be speaking like that.
And are they married, fiancé.
They're fiancies.
They're engaged.
They're not married.
They're not fully married.
They're not fully married.
But I just want to say like, just like, just get over yourself.
Talk about getting the ick.
No, my God.
I'm just like seriously, like, what we're, nothing is worse than watching a man unable
to support his woman.
It's the most disgusting thing ever.
Like you, like your man should be like, yes, that's my fucking girl.
And even if you, even if deep down you're feeling these feelings, keep up to yourself.
Keep them to yourself.
Keep them inside your household.
Keep up to your...
Because nobody wants you getting online.
Yeah.
And you know what's sad is...
I feel like he probably thought people are going to be like,
aw...
Nobody fucking feels bad for you.
Hope you're okay.
Brian.
Hope you're okay, like, dealing with...
Hope you're okay dealing with this.
Dealing with this.
And it's like, no.
No, it's actually the opposite.
I can't.
So we're just gonna need...
We're gonna need him to...
I'm gonna need you to wrap it off.
Wrap that up.
And I'm gonna need...
And I want only support for Sharna.
Only support.
And my God, she's working...
She went back to red hair.
Sharnas.
She means fucking business.
She means business.
And for the love of God,
don't you dare show Hannah Brown
after Tyler Cameron's dance anymore.
That and Brian Austin Green,
put them together.
You better be voting for Tyler
because the two of them don't deserve this bullshit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
I couldn't agree more.
And that's on that.
And that's dancing with the stars talk today
with a little bit of attitude.
Yeah.
Because my head is fucking pounding.
My God.
I'm going to take a claw clip to my eyebrow.
Yeah.
Oh, my brother said that kind of works.
I saw that that's where I got it from.
And let me tell you,
I should be.
sitting here with a fucking claw clip to my eyebrow.
Because it feels like the left side of my face.
Do you get it on one side when you get a migraine?
It's always on my left side.
And the only thing that helps it, the only thing.
But besides like a Diet Coke and fries is, which I tried yesterday, it didn't work.
Laying on the side that it hurts.
Yeah, yeah.
Hard.
Yes, I do that.
I do that at night when I have to fall asleep with one.
On a heating pad on my face.
So I get fucking burned on my face.
and then if I go to the right side
Pounding. Agony.
Yeah. Agony. You know what I have
specifically for hangover? It's like a
big headband type thing. I have it. I have it. Yeah, I have that too.
It's great. I got that too. I got that too. I got that too. Joe got me
one of those weighted eye masks. Yeah.
You got everything. I have that too. What if I can delight that thing is? No,
it is but I think I got to charge it. Mine's mechanical. Oh, no, no. This isn't
is that. It's just weighted. It's not, it doesn't. It doesn't
have like any massage features. Yeah, no, it doesn't
No, no. It doesn't plug in. It's just like, has some weight to it. Okay, I need that.
I need that. Because mine has got a massage and the heat and the whole thing.
Whole gadget. But anyways, yeah, that's, I feel like I had more to say about Dancing with the Stars,
but. Yeah, it was, it was obviously hard because we came home from the premiere and watched it
really, watched it late. And so we weren't, we weren't in the discourse. I didn't know you could
record on YouTube TV. Yeah, let me tell you something. That was shocking. Ria was like,
so are we going to have to wait?
to watch in the morning
like it won't be on Disney Plus
till the next day I said well
do you have YouTube TV
you said yeah
so you can record it
you had no idea
that's like one of the biggest
advertising
like points
that YouTube TV makes
when they're selling people YouTube TV
is that you have an unlimited library
like you can record whatever the fuck you want
unlimited storage
I just here's the thing I just want you to know that I don't deal
with any of that like stuff
like I don't deal with
like the Wi-Fi or the internet.
No, I just thought it was so funny.
A phone bill. Like not, oh, that's my husband. And I just go,
give me the password. So it's like, you know what I mean? So, like, I don't know.
YouTube TV, I'm like, I text him yesterday. I'm like, can you record? Like, do you, can you
do this for me? Like, I don't even know how to like click record on the YouTube TV. So we did
it. And let me tell you what a treat.
Like fast having my taco bell last night
And fast-in-through commercials
Cheezy Dorito Gordita Crunch in my mouth
Baja blast in my right hand
Left hand on that pussy and watch it
This is from a song
Sorry
See I would never know that's from a song
You know left hand and not steering real
Right hand on that pussy
Two chains
No can't say you know
Not me
We can cut that out
We don't have to
We're going to keep it.
No, please cut that out.
Yeah, that's Dancing with the Stars Talk.
And moving on, love hypothesis is getting a sequel, a book sequel,
into a movie.
Yeah.
And you know how sick I am?
My first thought was, hope Tom Bateman comes back on to promote the sequel.
From your lips to God's ears, babe.
I thought the same thing.
I've called you Babe.
I've called you Babe twice, I have never done that.
Yeah.
You also called me dude at the beginning of the show, which I went.
I use dude and and bro probably way more than I ever use babe.
Yeah.
For this context.
For friends.
But rarely.
I'm not calling my husband dude or bro.
No, no, no.
But rarely do you drop a dude while we're recording.
It happens, but not often.
No, I probably do it more like in real life.
I catch myself saying dude or bro.
But I feel like every time I say bro, I'm seeing it like kind of ironically.
You know what I'm saying?
Like when I say bro.
When I'm calling you bro, I'm saying it.
And when I say bro, like.
Right.
No, of course.
Yeah.
When I'm calling you bro, I'm saying it like as a joke.
Yeah.
But in my day-to-day life, I do say, bro, but it started as a joke that has now just become part of my vocabulary.
And I'm not meaning to, but it's just part of the vocab now.
Yeah, that's fair.
What's I going to say?
But I don't do the babe thing.
That's just a new thing that I'm trying, once again.
I'm trying some things out.
No, because Sharna, she does the baby.
Yeah.
You know?
And I love that.
But I'm not Australian.
I did it to a bar.
I did it to a bartender recently.
Carlos is sitting in front of real.
I was like,
I don't like this conversation.
I did it to a bartender recently.
Well,
I was like,
called babe or baby?
Baby was a woman.
Oh, oh.
And I was like, oh, thanks, baby.
And I don't know.
Like it or didn't like it?
I was like just drunk enough
where it felt good.
Yeah.
But also, I was like,
why did I do that?
Yeah.
You know, like, I don't know if it'll be my new thing, but it felt fun in the moment.
He tried it.
You know, whatever.
Who gives a shit, Maria?
Stop talking.
Anyways, love hypothesis, Tom Bateman.
Like, lifting her leg up.
What is she?
He's got an itch.
No, she's had it up, like, not itching.
Baby, you know, scratch.
Yeah, yes.
Are you more of a baby or baby person?
with your husband?
Babe.
Babe in person, baby in text.
Hmm.
I like it.
Oh, I'm never a babe person.
I always say baby.
Yeah.
I'll do like a what's a baby text,
but that's not coming out of my mouth as often.
Yeah.
And you know what?
That's appropriate.
I don't actually don't love that I'm a baby person,
but I am.
I am. Baby.
Like, I am and whatever.
That's okay.
I like being called babe, though.
Yeah.
I like it.
Yeah.
I don't know how we opened up this entire.
Joe actually texted me before.
He just said, hi, baby.
So, like, yeah, like, we.
Yeah, like, but he doesn't call me.
Like, we don't, like, it's not, in person, we don't use it often.
Yeah, no, it's definitely, like, I like babe and baby, but sometimes it's nice to switch it up.
Because, like, sometimes if Matt's calling me baby too much, I'm like, can we get Babe back in the road?
Well, you know what I've really threw in, have thrown in more, which I never thought I would because it's like my parents had used it. And I just thought it was like, I didn't, I always thought there was a sort of a tone of, uh, condescending. Yeah, like maybe a little bit with honey. Yes. And now I use honey all the time. Honey is so sweet. Like, and I use, but, and so seriously. But there was a time where I thought I didn't like honey or wouldn't use honey or wouldn't use honey. And now, uh, I use honey a lot. Hun. No, that's like for grandma. Yeah. No. Honey is. Yeah. No. Honey.
is so sweet.
Yeah.
Honey is really...
Honey, I use way more now
than I ever thought I would.
But here's the thing.
Honey is fine to use in front of other people.
Yeah.
You better not be babying up the place
in front of other people.
No, no, no.
I don't like that.
I know you're going to know who I'm talking about.
Yeah.
We knew a couple.
Yeah.
It's not stop.
Holy fuck.
It would make you want to fucking bash your head into the table.
Baby, baby, baby.
Like, leave that in your home.
Yeah.
Okay.
I don't like you know like if you're if you're oh you know babe can you grab that whatever but I'm not babying and babing all over the joint in front of other people like that that's an in home thing I agree 100% I'm gonna like I can't wait until you slip up in front of me I don't think I would I don't think I have I don't you know I don't think I'm like sure that in the course of I've heard you say it's definitely I definitely sometimes I'm mad at we get some babe and baby and baby and boom I know I know I know I know I know I'm sure that in the course of I know I know I know I'm
I know, I know.
All right, how about this?
$5 in my pocket every time I catch you.
Yeah, yeah.
But you'll be a rich man.
Every time she's the second she has one drink, baby.
That doesn't happen.
That does not happen.
It's a comedy podcast, baby.
God damn.
No.
It doesn't happen.
It totally happens.
But not to the extent of what I'm saying.
when people are like bathing up the joint in that way.
No, no, please.
We've been around.
Have my back here.
It is not, we, it's not to that.
The people you're talking about it was bad.
Like, I know, it's nowhere near that level of every other word was babe or baby.
That's what I'm saying.
It's not like that.
God.
Oh my God.
Oh my God.
That's how people talk.
Okay, okay.
Let me tell you.
I'm cutting your ass off.
That's how fucking people were talking last night, though, was driving me and saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, my God.
I'm like, oh, really?
Really?
You need to get to a speech class and learn to not talk like that.
Unfortunately, that's, it was a bit of a valley girl.
How do people get vocal fries, as I call it?
Like, how does one get that?
It's a natural-born thing.
No, I don't think it is.
Like, you're not talking like that as a kid.
I got to go.
I got to go.
No, as a kid.
You're in fifth grade.
You're in second grade.
Mommy.
Four of us four is eight.
Now I,
could I get an apple juice?
That is, you know, fair point, fair point.
It must change.
It must change.
Jessica, what did you do at school today?
Played some games.
Uh.
I mean, soccer later.
Damn.
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about?
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
She's running a sequel for the book,
and then they came along with the deal.
The movie was such a success.
She posed, Alie Hazelwood wrote that, like,
she was so excited about everyone falling in love
with these characters again and inspired her.
And I also love that she said in her statement,
like, if you loved where the first book, like,
ended and are happy with them
and you have no desire to, like,
think about what they did after,
words or you don't want to tarnish the idea of like where they are in your own head.
Don't read it.
She was like, maybe this isn't for you.
But I got inspired.
I want to do it.
And there's also a movie deal attached to it.
And Lily and Tom have such amazing chemistry.
I'm so glad that they're hopefully going to, you know, do a sequel together.
Me too.
I loved the movie.
Yeah.
Didn't do weekly watch report on Monday.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But did watch, loved it.
They thought they were great.
So cute.
So happy for them.
And happy for the sequel.
Absolutely. I think that's it. Let's do some popcorn. I'm just not going to talk for the rest of the episode. I hope everyone's okay with that. All right, let's get into the popcorn. But first, as the number one frozen fruit brand in America, outshined fruit bars and many fruit pops are made with real fruit or juice and simple ingredients you could pronounce. Every bite tastes like biting into a piece of ripe fruit, juicy, refreshing, and bursting with flavor. It's a bright, vibrant experience that brings a moment of joy in every bar. And what's in each fruit bar? Real fruit or fruit juice.
and a good source of vitamin C.
There's no GMO ingredients, no high fruit juice, corn syrup,
and no artificial colors and no artificial colors or flavors.
And the flavor lineup is stacked.
We're talking strawberry, mango, coconut, watermelon, pineapple, cherry, you name it.
There's something for whatever you're craving.
Now Shine makes it easy to experience the joy of fruit.
So go find Alchine fruit bars at retailers nationwide.
All right, let's get into the popcorn.
We're taking your hot takes, your voicemails, your opinions.
I'm not going to talk, so let's get into it.
Hi, this is Kelsey from Omaha, Nebraska, coming to see you guys.
In St. Louis, I'm so excited. I've been a fan for so long.
Hell yeah.
Okay, here is my hot take, I guess.
I'm a huge traitors fan and a huge Dancing with the Stars fan.
When I saw Whitney Levitt was cast on traitors, I was actually really excited because I've always liked her, loved her on Dancing with the Stars.
I think she and Connor have like a very sweet, genuine relationship.
But then I started thinking, if Connor was...
wouldn't have gotten voted off dancing with the stars and was still on it, would she still have
left for traitors? Because I feel like she was like, this is your time, Connor, you deserve your
flowers, this is all you. But so then would she really have left to go to film traitors? I don't know.
Something seems suspicious to me. I don't know if it's a conspiracy theory that Connor was always
going to get voted out week one or was she like last minute like I will go do traitors as long as
my husband's not on dancing with the stars anymore or was she always going to go? I don't know,
but something sounds fishy. All right. Love you guys. Love you too. Good question. A lot of people
sent that question. I saw a lot of people talking about this. Here's the thing with the like Whitney has
definitely known for a while she was going to be on traders. You know what I'm saying? Like the discussions
have to happen. I think, I'm sure they talked about it. I'm sure they had some set up arranged.
And I don't think they film traders for like that long. Like, I don't think they're gone for that long.
I think it's a two weeks. Yeah, like, which isn't crazy. You know, it's not like they're going away
for months and it's a whole big thing. Like, I think best case scenario, they're probably like,
hey, if Connor makes it far, you'll be back in time to see him towards the end of the show.
I don't really think
like conspiracy oh that's why he got voted off first
I'm just sure they had those conversations
beforehand of like
we both want to do this
and they just seem to be in the mindset
of like any opportunity coming our way
we're taking it so I can't imagine either of them
being like oh we shouldn't do traders because of this
because of the timing it's like they'll figure it out
they'll make it work to get on TV I think they're both
very much supporting the idea of like we're taking up
any opportunity that comes our way.
And, yeah, it would be funny to think about Whitney's, like,
rigging the vote so everyone voted for Connor Wood instead of Connor Wood.
Yeah, right, right, right.
I'm getting to Scotland.
Or you're just like...
He doesn't know.
Like, he makes this the next week and she's just not on the crowd.
Yeah, right?
It's like, Whitney kind of pulls this whole.
It's like, oh, honey, it's your time to shine.
Can't we ever be able to see you?
But I'll be back in three weeks after I filmed traitors.
I hope you make it.
Hope you make it far, because if not, I won't be there.
Crazy.
Dedication that she's not there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah.
That would have been, yeah, that would have been something.
She's definitely back in time for that.
All right, let's do the next one.
Hi, Noah, Ray and Fran.
I'm calling from Connecticut.
I want to know it's a red flag that I don't have a best friend.
So in high school, I used to have a really close group of best friends.
We talk all the time, hang out all the time, tell each other everything.
Then as we got older, like I got engaged, I'm getting married, and they're kind of still in that same party stage of life, so we kind of just grew apart.
And then I'm feeling like I don't really invest my time anymore into friendships or relationships that I don't find strong value in.
So I have a really hard time finding, like, a new best friend.
I have a couple friends here and there, but I really just don't.
now that I'm in my late 20s, I don't waste my time with people that I don't genuinely find values
spending time with them because I'm so busy.
So I often think if you have no friends, you're usually the problem.
But I'm starting to think maybe I'm the problem.
I'm a thought.
Thanks.
Bye.
Interesting question.
I mean, interesting question.
I don't think you're the problem.
No.
And I think that you might just be this phase of life you're in.
Right.
And your time is valuable.
right. So if you don't feel like you want to spend time with people that you don't mesh with,
then that's, you know, up to you. I mean, I feel like many people go through this phase, right?
Like, you know, some of my closest friends still are my friends from high school. But there was a period of
time where I felt very self-conscious about the fact that because I didn't really go to college,
I didn't have any friends from college or anything. So there was a period of time when I was working at
Barstool that the people here became my closest friends. And obviously I had my friends from high
school, but they went off to college. Now everyone's, you know, around again. And so there were times
where I felt like that as well, like, oh, you know, so I think it can be just a phase of life.
And if you feel like you've outgrown the people that you're friends with, you don't have to
state it really depends on what you what you want i think that having you know strong female friendships
is really important in your life yeah but if you don't feel like the people that you're surrounded
by deserve your time and energy yeah then fuck them you know what i mean like you don't want to
keep people around just to keep them around just so you could tell people that you have friends or
that you have a best friend right you want people around that you really valued their
time and energy and what you put into it, you get out of it. So I wouldn't say, like all of a sudden
beat yourself up and say you're the problem. There are plenty of people that don't have a ton of
friends, but they have, you say you're married, you know, your partner could be a very close person
to you as well, your best friend. Like there's, it just depends on the situation. Now, if you told
me that you got into a fight with every single person in your life and you have no friends because
you fought with every person and his eye and you. And you, you know, and you, you,
You have a problem with everybody.
Yeah.
Then maybe I would say, okay, maybe you're the problem.
Yeah.
But if you, it's just because you're in different stages of life, then I don't think that
you're the problem.
Yeah.
And maybe it's something that you'll reconnect with people when they are in that next phase
of their life, which is always possible.
But if the right people aren't around you, then you're not going to dedicate time to
them because I do really think it is important to nurture friendships.
So if there are some people that you do have or there are friendships,
that you had earlier in your life,
that you do care about that person,
it is good to take a second to think, like,
should I, what can I do to mentor?
Like, what can I do to water this friendship
and maybe, like, get us to a good place.
Should I put in this effort?
Do I need to?
Because a lot of times, like, it is really worth it.
So I don't know.
I think maybe also think about the people
that you do have around you,
if you do feel like they're worth maintaining a friendship,
reach out to them, plan some things, do some things.
Nobody's going to come, like, what I've also really learned is
nobody's going to like come pouring to you.
Not everyone's going to come reaching out to you.
Oh my God, let's do this, let's do that.
So sometimes you can like project of, oh, I don't know,
I don't need those people.
I'm good where I am.
But it's like you could also put in the effort and then see what happens.
happens. Yeah, definitely. And it's okay to reconnect with people or reach out to people or
And maybe and maybe, you know, when you reach this next phase too, new people want to your life
that you become close with. Very, very true. I always think about that with my parents. Like,
of course they have their close friends that they grew up with, their high school friends and all
those people that like when I grew up, they were all aunts and uncles. Yes. Yep. But there were also so
many friends that they became so close with when me and my siblings were in school and
my friend's parents and all those things where it's like looking back I think oh my god yet they
were my parents like best friends and they're people they didn't meet till you know right like a certain
age when they started having kids yeah so those people will come into your life too and then you can like find
that unit yeah I'm always so amazed at the amount of friends my parents still have from when they
were like in second grade and I'm like it's crazy like you guys are 60 like that blows my mind and it's
really sweet and they've kept this friendship and you know wives and husbands that come in and it's amazing
that they've been so close for so many years but I think about the amount of friends some of my
closest friends now are people that I've met in you know within the last 10 years yeah so it could be
or the last five years it could come into your life later you don't know and it just
don't go searching for a new best friend, right?
Like, don't go trying to fill.
I love you, man.
No, right.
Like, trying to fill that void, I have found myself in that position years ago.
Like, oh, thinking about, like, you know, my best friend growing up and filling that
void of, like, having that person.
And then you're like, okay, this is not, you know what I mean?
Like, oh, this went south.
And so don't just go, like, you know, the right friends will find you.
you'll know how meaningful those front trips are.
Absolutely.
All right, let's do one more.
Hi, ladies.
This is Ashley.
This question might be more for Fran.
But can we please talk about Cooper DeGine
dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader?
I think it's so crazy as an Eagles fan
and it just feels so wrong,
but they unfortunately are so thinking cute.
She did go to his first game,
but she didn't wear eagles gear.
So I'm not sure if she's even allowed to date him.
I guess they are since they're public now.
She just can't rep the Eagles,
but maybe she will if she quits the team.
I don't know.
It's just crazy,
and you don't really see him wrapping her wild couple.
Just want to know your thoughts.
Love you guys.
My family has had a lot of good laughs about this
because he hasn't had like maybe the best start
of the season.
and we're like, if this fucking guy wasn't hanging around
a Dallas cheerleader all off season,
drinking hard lemonade down the shore,
maybe he'd be having a different start of the season.
No, it is hilarious.
I do see their, like, I would see their TikToks.
I think, dang, they're cute,
but my God is this a Romeo and Juliet situation
because you got a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader?
Crazy.
Dating a Philadelphia Eagle?
I gotta imagine that the people in Dallas are, like, look at her and they're like,
what the fuck are you doing?
You know?
And vice versa.
Because we've been making the jokes.
I'm like, well, you know, it's a good old west side story.
Yeah, it's the other side.
Looking in, they're the enemy.
They're the enemy.
And it is something that is funny.
Because it's also like, yeah, I watch America's sweetheart.
Like, sweethearts, I know that there are people from all over the world that
want to be Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
It's not like you need to be a diehard Cowboys fan to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
It's sort of just indoctrined into you when you become like now you're a cheerleader
for the team.
But most of these girls aren't like, I live and breathe and die by Cowboys football.
They are dancers and they're professionals and they're so committed to their craft and this
is the top of the top when it comes to cheerleading and that's where they want to be.
and that's like a whole different thing.
So I think that's also an element to it
where you're like, okay,
I, maybe it's not that deep.
It is a funny joke though.
And unfortunately, it is being joked about a lot.
And Cooper had to know that was coming
when you start dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader
as a Philadelphia Eagle.
You know you're going to get shit on.
Absolutely.
So, but I'll show you some of their TikToks.
They are cute.
I don't know.
I have to imagine those haven't come across your desk.
assess the situation.
I'd imagine those ones aren't on your for you page.
But they are cute, so that's one element.
Yeah. Whatever.
Whatever.
All right, that wraps up the popcorn.
Keep calling in with your hot takes, your voicemails, your opinions.
That wraps up today's episode of Ticks in the Office.
Thank you so much for watching and listening.
We love you guys so very much and we'll talk to you on Friday.
Yeah, Ticks in the Office.
Longtime listener.
First time caller.
Look at the charts who does what the best.
Two chicks getting paid in reality checks.
You can find them at the gym.
It's not even a flex.
Last minute, red carpet flew him out on the jet.
Yeah, they're who you want to be.
They're always on your screen.
Two queens, and they might be spilling royalty.
A lot of topics that are popping here to get into.
I know a show that you probably want to listen to.
Who turned the heat up?
Turn the beat up.
Record the pod, made a bag, put their feet up.
The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up.
Who's the pod that they all want to meet up?
Who turned the heat up?
Turn the beat up.
Record the pod, made a bag, put their feet up.
The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up.
Who's the pod that they all want to meet up?
