Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Friend, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. It is Monday morning, everybody. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Every time we record on Monday morning, I feel like a radio host. I feel like a talk show radio host. that's getting you ready for school in the morning, although that's not the case. So hope everyone had a great weekend. Hope you stayed hydrated, cool. I almost fainted at the beach this weekend because it was so fucking hot. But that's besides important. Yeah, but like not fully in because I had, I didn't plan it out correctly.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Anyways, I'll get to that. Because it was very hot on the beach as weekend. I spent a lot of time in the ocean. It was so, so hot. But how was everyone's weekend? Lovely. I had a great weekend. Summer, beach time, concert time. I had a full beach day on Sunday. It was great. I had like one of the best weekends in my life. I'm not kidding. Like, every day was awesome. Yeah. Best weekend. And no, really. Well, like, every weekend's great, but this one was like over the top. Great.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Happy to hear that. How was your weekend? It was pretty good. I can't say it was one of the best weekends of my life. Yeah. It was so hot. So I just tried to like see. stay indoors. Did you go to a dog's birthday party yesterday? Oh yeah. I saw that. I saw that. One year birthday. Jordan Barry's dog. Yeah. Worthy. I'll let that. I'll let that. Yeah. I'll allow it. She's like the only person. Yeah. I was like, I'll allow it. I'll allow it. Yeah. I almost went to Elton John on Saturday and then I didn't because it was so hot and it was just like far. But the tickets were cheap like last second to me and one of my friends were going to go. But if I did, I was like,
Starting point is 00:02:07 it'd be funny if I just went and didn't tell Fran and then ran into her. I mean, there's no chance I would have run into you. You were like on the floor, right? Yeah, and there's a million people. There's a million people. 80,000 people there or so. So many people. Oh my God, what an incredible show. Yes, that it was. It was so good.
Starting point is 00:02:23 I cried every single song. He's, he's so cute. And he's, he he sounds so good. still like he has that booming voice he doesn't like the range isn't quite like he can't hit the high notes as much anymore but like he still sounds so good do you even need to say that I mean yeah yeah a little bit well because some songs like you're when you're used to playing them on your phone like when you're used to hearing them you're used to hearing them a certain way from like
Starting point is 00:02:53 50 years ago yeah exactly but like in concert it's I mean he's just he's incredible he's so and he played the way he plays the piano still is unreal and you told me you were like he just gets up says thank you and just sits right back down and plays a song it's so cute like he makes sure he says thank you after every song and then just sits right back down i was like he points he does he goes thank you thank you thank you i was like thank you after every song after every song um there was a a moment where i was like there's no way i'm going to cry at every song like he came out and i cried because you know just like that feeling And then without fail, every single song he played.
Starting point is 00:03:33 I cried. I was just so proud of him. He's been doing this for so long. He's had such a long life, such a crazy life. He's almost died multiple times. He talks about how now he's so excited to spend time with his family and this is it. And he's like, this is my last two shows in the tri-state area forever. It was really sad when he kept saying that.
Starting point is 00:03:55 He was like, this is the last song. This is the last time I'm ever singing this song. I was like, what's happening? I know. I was like, all right, Elton, are you trying to tell us something? I know you're old, but, like, calm down. It was really, really incredible. So did you play the same set list each night or no, apparently?
Starting point is 00:04:10 No, I think he changes it up a little bit, but from what I could tell, like, Philly and these shows in New York were the same. But I think, like, he said, Mololese to the Manhattan is, like, he's not going to sing that one again, like, because it has to do with New York. I heard his last. That's sad. Yeah. him singing the song for the last time. That song, almost famous. He just, he, and then, I mean, he's just, I couldn't believe.
Starting point is 00:04:38 He also was so hot out, he had, like, multiple layers on. I was just like, oh, my God, his band is incredible. They're all also older, but, like, the guy on the percussion. He's amazing. Those things were flying at one point. Absolutely loved him. Like, and, of course, you were, it's so sad because we don't know. We're not well-versed in his band.
Starting point is 00:04:58 We were looking them up afterwards, and some of these guys have just, like, played with the most famous people in the world. Yeah. And it's insane. Elton John said about some, I forget which one, he was like, he's played with anybody who's any good. Yeah. I was like, damn. Yeah. But it was so good.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Great chicken tenders and hot dogs. Got to be honest. Did you get merch? No. So I'll be honest. I went to go get merch. Yeah. And then I was like, hmm.
Starting point is 00:05:28 you know like I almost bought the t-shirt but you got that t-shirt and then I and then I was like we could be matching yeah there was like a line too and I was like I'm just not gonna get the merch there was a sick jacket like a varsity jacket that said Elton on it 200 but I was like I'm not gonna wear this all the time like I'm gonna wear it like maybe once yeah so it was a cool jacket it was a very cool jacket and they had a jersey I was thinking about it but like the line you know sometimes the lines and you're like whatever but um you guys got the one that said the bitch, the Ellen John, the gray one that said Ellen John, the bitch is back. I didn't see that one. It was like in the far right bottom corner. It's a good one too. It was great. It was everything I could have wished more and more. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Opens with Benny and the Jets. Yeah. And that's, so it's just like, you know, it hits, it's because. What did you say? How many percentage of songs you need? Like all them? Most. There were like three or four that I was like, I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I would put myself in that statement. There was some in the middle Yeah, the middle where I was like, all right, let's go get dipping dots. Yeah. That was my bathroom break because I had to pee again. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But no, no, I mean, it was so great. We like, I, the, I worked out so well. We took, me and Joe took our moms and they had such a great time. It looked like a blast. Yeah, we had a lot of fun. Not only on your Instagram stories,
Starting point is 00:06:49 but on your mom's Instagram stories, I saw as well. My mom loves to post like four more slides than necessary. for an Instagram store. I appreciate it though. So I'm just like, she was still filming. I'm like, we get the idea.
Starting point is 00:07:05 You don't need six lines. She's got to like learn how to cut clips. Yeah, yeah. She's like sometimes towards the end just got to just get rid of some of them. It was amazing. No, no, we had a, it was great. I was just emotional about his life,
Starting point is 00:07:17 but that's besides the point. Oh, and then when they played, when he played, don't let the sun go down on me and. Was the sun going down? No. No, it was already dark out. It got dark at Rocket Man.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah. Yeah. Which was like perfect for the, uh, no. No. It was, it was perfect for the graphics that he out on the screen for it to get dark at Rocket Man. But the sun, it looked like it was a part of the sky. Yeah. And they played, he played all clips from Rocket Man the movie, like, while he was playing.
Starting point is 00:07:47 It was great. It was, it was wonderful. No, I would definitely say like the high quality coming off of just being there for Coldplay. And then this, obviously different shows. but cold play is very like the pyrotechnics and everything like there's so many extra things
Starting point is 00:08:04 that like you could sit in the last row of a cold play concert and be like that that was amazing this somehow felt much more intimate for a concert in a stadium like it was like this could be like you almost felt like you were in a bar with him but there was 80,000 other people
Starting point is 00:08:22 I wonder if the people at the top could say the same thing yeah I you know I you're probably right but also like I just think you have such a good time regardless I had the same thought where I was like there's so many people here but I feel so alone like not like not like that but just like I was so yes you know such a small piece of this yeah like moment yes exactly you know what's really sweet this person behind me randomly like tap my shoulder I didn't even see her behind I don't know whatever but she tapped my shoulder and she was like this is really weird but like you're really weird but like you guys look so cute right now hugging each other while watching the show like can i take a picture of you guys from behind and i was like i was like yeah of course that's so nice and then i gave her my phone to take a picture and then she gave it back and then morty was like what did she say like what did she was she was she listening to your show or something and i was like no no she just wants to
Starting point is 00:09:18 take a picture of us she's like that's like one of the nicest things ever happened it was very sweet some a lot of people can recognize a beautiful moment it was a beautiful moment it was a beautiful moment. It was very nice. I had a great weekend besides Elton John. Like Elton John like capped off a weekend. Yeah, that ended your weekend. It ended my weekend. But on Friday, I did not know this was happening at all. I knew. So I have not for some reason celebrated my birthday with my family in like five years. Yeah. Like I don't know why. I just haven't. And they always like, I don't know. Whatever. Besides the point, I'm not going to get into it. But this year, they were like, you want to do like cake and pizza like we do for every other family member i was like yeah let's do
Starting point is 00:10:00 it like i love you guys let's do it um so they were like let's do friday because we know you're not going to be here a saturday or sunday and monday work and then tuesday on your actual birthday you're probably going to go to dinner whatever so let's do friday i was like okay so i had i had a feeling that there was something unusual going on obviously i've never i guess marty's the only person that's ever surprised me ever in my life, one being Seattle and now this. Yeah. Because I, this man loves surprises. And I am, I have never been surprised before.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Right. Right. Well, I didn't know about the Seattle one. Yes. And also, I feel like he, it's smart because he just plans a lot of surprises knowing some of them, some of them will get spoiled. Like somebody gets spoiled. So I didn't know about this one at all.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And my parents kept being like, oh, you want to order from Mbredo's? Like, we usually order. whatever. I was like, yeah, love it. Whatever, it sounds good. All of a sudden, chef Yum Yum comes running through my backyard, shooting me in the mouth with sake. Like, like, you've never seen, I haven't seen it at all.
Starting point is 00:11:06 So he's, like, month. So he set up this habachi thing in my backyard for this guy to, like, come cook abachi for my family in my backyard with like the whole grill, the sake, everything. My family was so fucked up. Like, it was so much fun, but so much fun. but so much sake. And Chef Yum Yum gets upset when you don't do the Sochi.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Chef Yum Yum like... He's the chef. But like known? No. No, it's like... I've seen it by a... I've seen it by a... Being done by a lot of people like our age at sharehouses and things like that.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Like they've been seeing a lot and like people doing in the Hamptons is they come and they literally set up in your yard or whatever. And it's just a party. It was a... Absolutely party. So much fun. And I think the best part about it, was my family had so much fun. Like they've never done anything like that before.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And so they were loving it. And Deb was really fucked up. Like so fucked up, uncomfortably fucked up. But she's the best anyways. But everyone had so much fun and I was so surprised. And it was awesome. So I was like smiling ear to ear. Then on Saturday, finally went to Jenks.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And now I understand the whole they think they're going to Jenks. We're really taking them to Times Square. We see that episode of Jersey Shore where they, like, Prank Wars. Yes. You don't know that one? No. They send the girls to, they tell them they're going to Jenks, but they send them to Times Square.
Starting point is 00:12:29 But Jenks was awesome. I was like, why does anyone go anywhere else? But here. Never been. It's amazing. Yeah. I feel like every weekend now I come on here and talk about a New Jersey Shore bar. And you love them all.
Starting point is 00:12:42 And people have been going through for two for years. But it was awesome. It's just like this big beach boardwalk inside, outside. I had a grand old time. That's great. So, had a great weekend. That sounds lovely.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Thank you. Do you have a bone to pick with Marty for not inviting me to Apache? I also said that to him after I said, so where's friend? And then he was like, I just thought, to be honest. She's at home.
Starting point is 00:13:07 No, he was like, to be honest, I was really worried about, like, just getting this guy here and like having all your family members here and, like, making, he was like, because stressful surprise. It just, like, he's setting something up for my family.
Starting point is 00:13:21 They had no involvement at all. So I can imagine like what's going through his head. Like if this guy doesn't show up and then like he didn't tell your parents. No, no, he did. He did. But he, so now my parents are obviously like expecting. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:34 So I think he just had like a little bit of pressure on himself. And then I was like, so where's friend? And then he was like, I just did not even think she would be available. Like he was like, I did not think that through. But, you know, it was family. I was available. You are family. I had to make that clear to you.
Starting point is 00:13:48 when you text me and said, I wasn't invited. And you were like, it was really only. I was like, I am family. And I said, that is very true. And I want it on record that like immediately when I found out it was happening, I said, where's friend? So at least my thought was there. Thank you. I appreciate that. You're welcome. Maybe he saw the clip where, or not the clip, maybe he listened to the podcast where you said you wouldn't know if Joe would tell me about you guys getting a case. And he said, ah, not anybody friend. Oh boy. He, that. I actually did. have that discussion and he was like I definitely
Starting point is 00:14:20 would. Okay, thank God. And we also have upgraded from calling Marty Matt. Yeah, we moved on. I didn't know if on the podcast we should make the switch or not. Yeah, we can make, we could make the switch. Okay. Because I think switch is made. Because Marty's real name is Matt, guys.
Starting point is 00:14:36 I texted Ria this weekend and I said I feel like I am in the inner circle enough that I don't want to be like everybody else that just calls him Marty. His family, his friends call him Matt. I call call on Matt because I I don't know so I'm like I'm done with that Matt Matt it is Marty feels like Marty mush
Starting point is 00:14:54 you know what I mean that you still call him Marty like To other people here I'm like I'm gonna keep calling I know of course in work environment My God if I started calling him Matt here I would ask everyone to tell me to leave I'm I am closer I was like you know what I'm in the inner circle like the work circles out here But I'm in the inner like I don't want to just be in the work circle I want to be in the inner yeah like my family calls
Starting point is 00:15:18 him Matt and if my dad hears somebody call him Marty my dad gets visibly upset He goes his name is Matt He like he because I feel like my dad thinks it's like a respect thing Yeah Like my dad's like his name is he wants to be called Matt Meanwhile he doesn't care at all He's called Marty or Matt because he's used to be called Marty
Starting point is 00:15:35 Does Dana call him Marty? Yes I mean some of his friends Marty came from his friends at home like he didn't Start that here yeah so I think it's just it looks you know It's a mix depending on the mood I guess. But Fran has decided. But I will be making the official change to Matt.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Yeah. She texted me and said, by the way, I'm making the change. Yep. All right. Well. Going forward, we'll see. Depends on the mood. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:00 All right. Anyways, let's get into today's topics. Not really that much. Slow weekend. Also, Trent, back. Is he? He's back. I like Sims.
Starting point is 00:16:11 I know. I mean, I'll believe I want to see it. Yeah. I need to see Trent in the flesh. Exactly. I will believe it when I see it. Yeah, no, it was definitely a slow weekend. Some good, some good Love Island.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Oh, some, you got the VPN. You were catching up. Oh, my God. You're almost, are you almost caught up? Not as caught up as I want to be. Yeah, but I'm almost caught up. Worth it, right? So worth it.
Starting point is 00:16:37 It was so easy. It was so easy. I can't believe that I've been spending my time watching on Hulu. Oh, Noah. The SD card is full. on your that's fine you guys okay that's fine they don't need to see they don't need to see it I'm kidding um it's so good this season and I am truly obsessed with so good um I can sue and daff day they're great I am obsessed with yeah I really am I've seen like
Starting point is 00:17:07 yeah a lot of the clips that I'm just obsessed with them I can't get enough of them and yeah it was but for the people who are like oh my god the VPN is so confusing it's so hard it's really truly one of the easier things I've done in life and I can't believe I've been putting it off for so long. I also love the feeling, the intimate feeling of watching it on your laptop. Yeah. Like doesn't it just feel like you're like so much closer to them? Yes, it does. Like you're like, I'm in it. I'm in love Island. Sometimes I would really like to put it on my TV, but I do because I like as I can, I take it with me. I watch it on my iPad. So I just like when I'm airplay it. I don't have the TV. Apple TV. You don't need an Apple TV to Airplay.
Starting point is 00:17:45 don't i have a samsung tv i airplay you can airplay anything it's okay that sounds like something that's uh i don't know how to figure out it's probably really easy like the bpm i know it has the it's like play on tv they just put the the chrome cast is an option
Starting point is 00:18:02 on the thing but yeah i like i like having it small playing in your bed watching it right in front of your face i like having it having it nice and small so that was nice yeah i got home yesterday, Sunday morning, and I had so much time for the concert. And I was like, I am going to eat so much, so many snacks right now and just watch La Lava. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:25 And I did exactly that. I was like, this is the best feeling ever. Selena Gomez celebrated her 30th birthday, which made, like, I don't have anything to comment about the birthday. It's more just about myself because I was like, wow. When growing up and watching all of them on TV, I was always like, they were pretty much the same age. I always felt like they're a couple years older than me like the Selena, Demi, Nick Jonas age group like I was like oh my like those
Starting point is 00:18:53 they felt more like my peers and now they're all turning 30 and I'm like what the heck? Yeah everyone's growing a little bit older like what the heck so oh I saw Into the Woods on Broadway on Thursday so good if you have a chance to go see it before it's done it's only on an eight week stint I asked you
Starting point is 00:19:13 August 24 First, it ends so good. The cast is amazing. Julia Lester from High School Musical, The Musical, the series plays Little Red Riding Hood. She's so good. She's got great comedic timing. And, like, her, she's, I mean,
Starting point is 00:19:28 she's got a great voice. But the, like, the cast is amazing. Yeah. It's a laugh a minute, I would say. I was laughing the whole time. I love that. Yeah. It's basically, like, do you ever see the movie? No. It's basically. The movie of Anna Kendrick? Yes.
Starting point is 00:19:44 It's kind of like a... I'm probably describing it wrong, but it's sort of like a comedic take on a lot of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. So it's like Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, there's a bunch. And the whole premise is like the Baker, there's a witch, and Baker, Baker's wife, they can't get pregnant. They need the witch to reverse a spell and they have to get all the... They have to get items from each fairy tale. That is... It's good.
Starting point is 00:20:19 That sounds very good and it's just not what I thought Into the Woods was at all. Like if you asked me what is Into the Woods about, none of that would have came out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it is very good and it's funny and it's there's laughs and it's kind of like a, they're, the fairy tales all like end in different ways. It's not, you don't get like the happy ending that you're used to from all the other typical endings and that's where the laughs come in yes i love that yes oh that sounds fun yeah maybe i'll watch the movie i do enjoy the movie however it is j i will say it is arguably james cordon's best role
Starting point is 00:20:57 but it is james cordon oh my god when james when they showed james gordon at the altijon concert and the carpal karaoke oh i didn't even see it was like part of like um during i'm still standing oh there was like there was like there was like clip and i was like ah this motherfucker got on to the screen at the Elton John concert. As much as we laugh about it, that I do love carpal karaoke. No, carpal karaoke is great. There was another clip that came on,
Starting point is 00:21:23 and I was like, this person made it. This person made it to the montage? Yeah. I can't remember who though, but James Gordon said out to me. I was like, damn. The Palm Cardi Carpacrocy is a fantastic video. Carpacrogy is great.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Paul McCarty one is so good. And then they go to the bar and he plays out. The bar is so good. Arguably the most likable James Corny and ever. comes across is during corporate karaoke. There's some where it's like kind of cringe-worthy, but. Yeah, that's any sort of talk show segment though, I think. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:21:50 All right, let's get into the topics that don't really exist. Zach Ephron was taking pictures outside of East High, so people are talking about a high school musical reunion and Kid Kuddy. Why did that come out like that? I don't know why it came out like that. I don't know. I wish we can cut that. Kid Kuddy.
Starting point is 00:22:10 It just flowed out. Kid Kuddy. Kid Kuddy. stormed off the stage at Rolling Loud, which is always pretty sad to see, honestly. And we have a great game of trivia. So let's get into it. Sort of off with Zach. There is no better perfect summer drink than Pink Whitney's pink lemonade vodka together. The perfect combination, especially on a hot day, just like this past weekend was so hot. Go to your bar, order Pink Whitney shots, get a drink with Pink Whitney in it. It is the perfect summer.
Starting point is 00:22:42 drink. Yeah, it's lemonade. It's pink lemonade and vodka. There's nothing. It's mixed it with lemonade. Yeah. Even enhances it even more. And there's nothing better than a nice lemonade. Exactly. That's why you get those lemonade stands. Anyways, head to your local bar and make sure to order some Pink Whitney. You can also pick up Pink Whitney at your local liquor store.
Starting point is 00:23:00 We were drinking Pink Whitney all throughout our West Coast tour. So if you watch the vlogs that are on our YouTube, you can still watch that. We are drinking Pink Whitney. We had shots before every show. Got us going. Got the crowd going. It was so much fun. so you could pregame with Pink Whitney or you can order it at your bar. Once again, order Pink Whitney at your local bar today. Zach Ephron posted a picture in front of East High, which made everyone so happy because everyone for a while, I think, felt like Zach Efron was trying to.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah, like he resented it. Yeah, like he was trying to hide his high school school pass. And I was like, we know your Troy Bolton. We know where you came from. High School musical was a major hit. Like, you are not hiding this from us. And now it seems like he's embracing it. I know.
Starting point is 00:23:40 there's been moments now in the last year or so that he's talked about it in a very loving, reverent way. And definitely, I would say, those years post high school musical three, it felt like he was kind of out. And then, you know, obviously they did like events and shows and what, they did like a reunion moment. He didn't do it, right? No, on the Zoom. Yeah. And so that was kind of. On the Zoom.
Starting point is 00:24:11 On the Internet. Where you were like, oh, you know, I wish he leaned in a little more sometimes. But it's a great picture. He's doing the breakfast club. Breakfast. I can't say. I was struggling to say breakfast. Breakfast.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Breakfast. That was breakfast club. Breakfast. He's doing the fist in the air. You know. Don't you forget about me? Don't you. Why are you looking at me confused?
Starting point is 00:24:39 like you don't know the moment I'm talking about. What? Have you ever seen The Breakfast Club? Oh, no. Oh, my God. And also, you judge everybody about never seeing certain movies and you've never seen the Breakfast Club. I've never seen it.
Starting point is 00:24:54 You would love that movie. I am shocked. You would love that movie. Because I feel like you would be like a John Hughes guy. And he would be like the Breakfast Club stand. Like he would like, he would like celebrate the anniversaries of the Breakfast Club. I don't know about that. I just feel like you would be like a John Hughes guy.
Starting point is 00:25:09 It's a great. movie. Or maybe, actually, maybe he would be opposite. Like, he'd actually be like John Hughes is cheesy. Oh, like,
Starting point is 00:25:16 his movies are cheesy and not cinema. Sticks his nose up to it. They're not, they're not films. I don't know why you think I'm like that. I like all movies. That's debatable.
Starting point is 00:25:29 But you've never seen the breakfast club? No, I haven't. I'm shocked. That is shocking. That is a good, that is, you would like that movie. That is a great movie.
Starting point is 00:25:38 It's no wonder. He's looking at me with a face, like, what is she talking about? I'm like, you know, the end, the hand in the air. He looks at us sometimes about certain movies and goes, you've never seen this movie. You've never seen this movie? I know. And yet one of like the most notable movies of all time you just haven't seen.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Don't you forget about me. What is this thinking face that you have on right now? Don't, don't, don't. What's the movie where like the guy is dead and they like roll him out, but they make him look alive or something. No, that is... Like they put sunglasses on or something to time. That's what I'm thinking of for some reason.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Yeah, I don't know why. That's not... Shit. ...something Bernie. Oh, Weekend of Bernie. Yes. Yeah, yeah. I don't know why, but I have no idea what...
Starting point is 00:26:26 I can't pick... Have you ever seen Ferris Bueller's Day off? Yes. 16 candles? No. So he's not a John Hughes guy. Wait, who's John Hughes? The director of all these moves.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Oh, he directed Ferris Bueller's. Yes. No, I'm just making this face Because I'm really trying to picture anything And I can't think of the breakfast club I can't picture any part of it All the different characters in the breakfast club They're all like different personalities
Starting point is 00:26:48 They get stuck in detention They're all the stereotypical high school Like jock, nerd Princess Like princess Like then they are all in detention together No Oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:26:59 I mean that is just wild You're making me feel old That is just wild Pretty and pink Weird science never even heard of any of these other than the Ferris Bueller I've never heard of 16 candles I used to love weird science damn this John Hughes guy makes a lot of movies huh
Starting point is 00:27:16 he makes a lot of really notable great movies he sure did he sure did he he made quite quite a few I would say I might have to give some of these a watch yeah and you've definitely seen some of them that you wouldn't think that you saw all right I would say like he's had a lot a lot of movies Well, he was the writer for, let's see. I'm now going into his IMDB because National Lampoon's Vacation.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I've seen that, yeah. You don't see pretty common. It's a lot of breakfast club weird signs pretty and pink, fuels Thursday off, some kind of wonderful. She's having a baby. National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. He wrote Home Alone. Uncle Buck.
Starting point is 00:28:01 He wrote Home Alone. Home Alone. All right, this guy seems good. Some of those are writing He didn't direct all of those ones He's got writing credits on a lot of them You've never heard of Dennis the Menace Writer slash producer
Starting point is 00:28:15 You can't Flubber? You can't Never heard of them What? Flubber? You've never heard of Flubber? I think I just don't know John Hughes No
Starting point is 00:28:21 No no no no no These are just very known movies Flubber is Noah You actually we need to revoke His judgment card I know for movies Flubber is Robin Williams
Starting point is 00:28:32 You've never seen Flubber This doesn't This doesn't ring any bells, this little green guy. Honestly, no. Oh, my God. Yeah, we've officially, we're revoking his card. Which is hilarious that we're revoking it for Flubber, but. No, but we're also revoking.
Starting point is 00:28:51 He may not be able to produce our movie that we're making after this. He's going to have to go on assignment and watch all these movies. I mean, I'm shocked because you seem like this kind of guy. I would think you were John. I would think you were John. We don't think you're more cultured. Yeah. Apparently not.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Anyway. Back to Zach Efron. Oh shit. We're talking about Zach Efron. We were talking about Zagherr. Plains trains in automobiles. I have heard of that. I've never seen it.
Starting point is 00:29:15 I also threw that one about. I know people really love that one. Yeah. He, um, so that was like his thing, you know, anyway, I can't, long way of, long way of explaining that Zach, Zach Efron was doing the hand in the air moment from the end of the the breakfast club. Such a confused face. We would have never got.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Never. You were looking at Fran like she had 10,000 heads. And the sad part is, is that his camera died. I know. So now we don't even have any visuals of him.
Starting point is 00:29:44 We just have to take our word for it, guys. He was like, uh. He's like, look at me like, slack job. His brain went blank. Yeah. It was a very good reference from Zach Efron. Now, anyway, people were freaking out because...
Starting point is 00:29:58 Yeah, no big deal. I'm 25 now, so I obviously know what the breakfast club is. Vanessa Hutchins. posted a reel from outside East High, like around the end of June. And it was like, oh, my God, they were there at separate times. Maybe they weren't there at separate times. I did see some people spiral. It was on Dumas.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Very sad because it had me for a moment. And then I just, like, clicked a few more slides. And it was debunked. And I was like, shit. The clock. Yeah, they were like, oh, the clock's the same. And both their pictures outside of the school is at the same time. And everyone was like, maybe they were there together.
Starting point is 00:30:33 And then somebody also sent in. that there has been other posts from it's just stuck like the clock's broken like the clock's broken i'm like okay with no high school musical reunion because high school musical is so special to me that i wouldn't want it to be tainted because there are some things that come back yeah like why did i carly have to come back see but i think i think sometimes you can separate the two, you know? Like even if the reunion or they do a movie or something is cheesy and silly, like you can separate the two from the greatness of the original.
Starting point is 00:31:15 I guess it's kind of like Jersey Shore family vacation. Yeah. It's no Jersey Shore. Yeah. But throw on an episode, it's still pretty enjoyable. It is, but it's no Jersey Shore. No, exactly. So if there was something to, something to come out of that, I mean,
Starting point is 00:31:32 Corbin Blue is coming on the show. Yeah, Corbyn Blue is coming in today. So we can talk to him about this. Maybe he's sweet. Any sort of inside. But I feel like that would be something they were all interested. And, you know, the way that I still look at Zach Vanessa and think, wow, wouldn't it be just a Ben and Jen moment to have these two reconnect? But she has a boyfriend that she seems very happy with her baseball playing boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Yeah, I'm happy for them. Yeah. Because, you know, well, I guess it would be a connection because she dated Austin Butler for so many years. And then Zach and Vanessa, they'd come back together. But yeah, she seems happy. I don't know about Zach got from. Exactly. But to see them both go visit East High was just extremely heartwarming.
Starting point is 00:32:20 It was heartwarming. Very. Where is East High? Salt Lake City. Oh. And is it like, it's a real school? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:27 It's really East High. Salt Lake City, capital of Utah. Yeah. The Mormons live? Yes. Some of them. Some of them, yep. Not all.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Okay, that was it. Anyways. Anyway. Now a word from our sponsor, Better Help. Obviously, if you own a car, you know, this is a good analogy, I think. You have a car. You got to make sure it's in check, in tune. Imagine having that car your entire life.
Starting point is 00:32:57 You're like, I've got to make sure this thing's running, all right? I got to make sure that. Never look under the hood. to make you got to me okay you got to make sure this thing you're running properly you got to keep this thing going for your whole life it's like your baby you have to treat your mind like that make sure that you are doing well you know sometimes you're not doing well at all times and that's okay everybody gets that way but you want to make sure that you are doing those days yes as hana montana one said everybody knows what what i'm talking about everybody gets that way um so we want to make sure that we
Starting point is 00:33:29 are doing our best to keep our health and check our mind, our body, our souls. And that is where better help comes into play. There are plenty of ways to support a healthy brain therapy being one of them. Sometimes though therapy is not very affordable. It could be very expensive. It could also be very hard to find a therapist. You know, you're looking online. You're referred by somebody. There's all these different steps, hoops to jump through to sometimes find a great therapist with better help comes into play, then you get something even better than that. You can get better help online. You can do video chat. You could just do chatting where you don't need to be on video. You don't need to see somebody in person. You don't even need to leave your house if you don't feel
Starting point is 00:34:12 up to it. Because I feel like one of the most challenging parts sometimes about therapy is like, I don't feel like, I don't even feel like getting in my car to drive to a therapist right now to talk about this. You don't have to do that. You can just hop online, talk to somebody and feel Better help is online therapy. Like I said, that offers phone, video, live chat sessions, and like I mentioned as well, much more affordable. So right now, our listeners get 10% off their first month at betterhelp.com slash office. Once again, that's betterhelp.com slash office for 10% off your first month. Rolling Loud was this past weekend in Miami and it seemed like a lot happened. most notably, Kid Cuddy stormed off stage because people wouldn't stop throwing things at him.
Starting point is 00:35:03 This was honestly very upsetting. Like the video went viral of him yelling. I think he played like four songs. And he's like if one more fucking person throws something at me, like I'm leaving. I'm done. That's it. And like pretty much as soon as he said that, somebody else threw something at him. And it's just, it's just so disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:35:27 I don't know why you would ever go to a concert and be like, yeah, I'm going, I'm just, and started throwing things at the person's singing. The whole thing was, they were upset. It wasn't Kanye, right? I mean, this is the thing. Not saying that that's good. I'm just saying. I don't know if that is, I don't know if, I'm sure people are saying that, but like, do we know that for sure that the people. He was supposed to headline, right?
Starting point is 00:35:48 Yes, he was. But do we know for sure that the people throwing the water bottle was like, I wish this was Kanye and, like, throwing it? We don't know for sure. It's just crazy. matter what to throw things at the person on stage anyway, but especially if it's because you wish it was Kanye, it's kid-cutty. Like, that's like when Drake came out and he got boot off stage. It's like, are we kidding? Like, people have such entitlement. It's nuts. It's really crazy. Now, I do think that element is a hard. You have not disrespectful people walking around
Starting point is 00:36:19 this earth. I know. It's out of control. That is definitely an element because, you know, Kanye was not headlining. They, uh, replaced him. with Kit Kuddy and those two have had some issues recently for sure. People think Kanye kind of had some part in it. I mean, Kanye totally dicked him too. Like, Kanye came out. He was there, which was a wild move. Like he did that on purpose.
Starting point is 00:36:42 He came out during, no, before. It was after. Oh, I thought it was. Yeah, because a lot of people left when Kikuddy walked off and then, um, wait, who was he, who did he come out with? He came out during Lil Dirk set. You're telling me Lil Dirk played after Kid Cuddy. It was after.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Why would the headliner not end the show? I'm not sure, but maybe it was because he left, like, after a couple songs, and they had to continue. I don't know. But Kanye only came out for the one song and apparently it's left. It was definitely after, because I know people left, and then they were like, oh, Kanye came out. It was definitely after. Huh. That makes no sense.
Starting point is 00:37:20 And a lot of people think, I know it's a joke, but a lot of people are like, was that actually even Kanye? Like, people were, there was a whole conspiracy that that was. Oh, well, he. He did look. He looked like different. So. Yeah, people are like, this isn't even Kanye. He showed up during Lil Durk's set.
Starting point is 00:37:33 He performed hot shit. And then he also did, Father Stretched My Hands, Part 1, which has Kid Cutty on the song. So I literally, like, that's why people were like, oh, he's totally being a dick. Like, picking that song to play, you do, you go out, you do two songs. One that, like, actually is with Lil Durk and the other one, you're like, oh, you're going to pick one that Kit Cutty's on. Also, if you're going to do part one.
Starting point is 00:37:57 you're not going to do part two. You could have picked any other song that doesn't have two parts to it. You know? Not that they even really need to go together, but it just... And from the clips I saw it's like he wasn't even really like, it was just like he was there for a few minutes. What a disaster. Rolling loud always seems like a disaster.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Rolling loud is always chaotic because... Especially in Miami. People are always canceling. There's always things happening. You know, this year, like Travis Scott. was in talks. It was... Didn't he perform a future this weekend, Travis Scott?
Starting point is 00:38:32 Did he? I saw it. It's very confusing because people are like, Travis Scott's not performing. He is performing. He's not performing. I don't want to be at a Travis Scott concert. I've been to Travis Scott concerts,
Starting point is 00:38:45 and they are terrifying. Right? We went to one together. Correct. Not correct. I mean, we know... We know what happens, yeah. We know what happens.
Starting point is 00:38:57 and that's why it's, like, crazy that it's just kind of, like, back and... Yeah, it's kind of wild. I'm just, like, I'm stuck on the fact that that was after Kid Cuddy. Yeah. I'm having a hard time believing that. No, no, I mean, it definitely was. I know it. But if Kit Cuddy was headlining, why would he be on before Little Dirk?
Starting point is 00:39:18 Did Little Dirk, like, come back out or something? Because maybe if he was, like, the last guy and then he just left, they needed to, like, continue somehow. I don't know. I don't know. Doesn't that seem weird? One of you figure it out because now I want to know. Doesn't that seem weird? It would, it, it does seem weird.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Kid Cutty stormed off. There's no like clear. Meanwhile, Kanye West shows up next door. What does that mean? That's what this one headline says. Cut his headline performance short. The crowd kept throwing things at him. The set lasted roughly 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:40:03 as if you're scrambled, rolling as a family, it is unclear due to certain chances, blah, blah, blah. I'm not ready to tonight. Whether coincidence or not, Lil Dirk had just began his set
Starting point is 00:40:23 at the same time Cuddy's abruptly ended. So he was performing on a different stage. Oh, I don't, I didn't know that's how Rolling Loud worked. I thought it was just one stage. No, it's multiple, right? Rolling Loud? It's multiple stages. is multiple stages.
Starting point is 00:40:39 So he was like... So it was happening almost simultaneously. That makes sense. Because Lil Dirk's like way smaller. So he'd be on like a smaller stage. Yes. And happening like happening at the same time as the headliner. All the people are at the headline.
Starting point is 00:40:50 So now that's even more of a dick move. Okay. Because Kande wanted people to leave the Cuddy show. Yes. To come see him. I'm glad we got there. I'm glad we figured that out because I was like there's no way little Dirk was performing like on the main stage after Kid Cuddy.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Yeah. For a second I was like, does rolling loud have different stages they definitely do it's just most of the time you're at the main stage yeah this is the Miami Herald article says whether coincidence or not Lil Durk had just began
Starting point is 00:41:18 his set at the same time Cuddy's abruptly ended the Chicago born rapper would later bring out yay towards the end of his performance much to the delight of fans so then they wrote the relationship between Cuddy and Kanye has been rather tense as of late so yes okay
Starting point is 00:41:34 that makes a lot more sense if I was kick-cutty I would fucking lose my shit at Rolling Loud I'd be like how how would you let Lil Durk do that? I almost think that Rolling Loud probably didn't even know likes when things
Starting point is 00:41:49 like this happen because they get so much press around Rolling Loud like rolling loud Rolling Loud is always trending articles every single time it happens because something like this happens all the time and they did literally like the statement they put out is rolling loud is a family our fans the artists in
Starting point is 00:42:05 everyone involved need to look out for each other. Share the love and be respectful to everyone. We love you, Cuddy. Please take care of each other and let's have an amazing day too. Pete James probably texted him like, fuck, Kanye. Yeah. So that makes a lot more sense. And I am interested to see how Kit Cuddy handles this going forward because there are obviously
Starting point is 00:42:27 more rolling lounds that happen that he is supposed to headline. Yeah, I would demand money and not show up. I would drop that if I would say. Yeah, I'd be like, fuck that. Yeah. Like if one bad taste in your mouth Just have it be Kanye then Like is silly

Today's movie, shout out to Sierra from York, Pennsylvania. The Wedding Planner. You know what? I knew that this was going to be something with J-Lo. You did?
Starting point is 00:45:38 Yes. I knew it because she was in the news this week getting married. In my head, I actually Googled what, because recently I was Googling Jersey Girl for the dress, looking for the, that was the dress. And when I Google Jersey Girl, I was like, I bet you know I might use this movie this week for trivia. I didn't use it because of any of that.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Yeah. And I don't even think I knew that she was in the movie. What? I've never seen it. Oh. So you just picked a random movie. No, she sent it, and I looked it up I'm like, oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Okay. All right, one of you goes first. Great. 54. 28. No, no. 29. Can you go back?
Starting point is 00:46:25 We'll give her 29. It's not like she went 28. Oh, no, just kidding, 82. Yeah. I don't think it's going to be high. 38. I'm going to go 63. 17.
Starting point is 00:46:45 Oh. So I'm close. Yeah. Yeah. Whoa. You would have been closer, 28. 17? 17.

Starting point is 00:50:10 I had a feeling it was going to be a girl. Um, what episode is that? Is it a throwback college one or something like that? I've never seen friends, but I looked it up. Okay. All right. Still two, Henri and Fran, and this question's to them. Do not recall.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Shout out Meredith from Memphis. Which of the following actors has never won an Oscar? A, Nicholas Cage, B, Bradley Cooper, C, Jamie Fox, G. Matthew McConaughey. Matthew McConaughey won. I'm pretty sure Jamie Fox won. Did Bradley Cooper win for American Sniper? I feel like Nicholas Cage would. would be like the obvious answer, which makes me think that he was thrown in there because he does have one.
Starting point is 00:50:59 Or doesn't, because people are like, duh, Nicholas Cage obviously has an Oscar, but like he doesn't. But I think Bradley Cooper has one. Oh, because his star is born. Three, two, I don't think he won. Let's go Nicholas Cage. Is this best actor? Yeah, yeah. Just not, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:14 No, not like right. Not like for his movie or like for the movie as a whole. No, no, like they want an Oscar for acting. Okay, okay. But time sure. I kind of think it's Bradley Cooper. Okay, Bradley Cooper. I mean, yeah, it's correct.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Oh, okay. Wow, they're not this right. Damn. Okay. 3-1. What movie is Nicholas Cage have an Oscar for? Because I do know, I've remembered that there was one, or maybe two. For best actor?
Starting point is 00:51:50 Leaving Las Vegas. Leaving Las Vegas. Got it. Okay. Thank you. Fact checker. All right. Question number six to Deanna and Dominique. And it's 3-1 Rian.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Francia Bridget from Pittsburgh. Which of these celebrities does not follow zero people on Instagram? A. Billy Elish.L.E.R.igo. C. Taylor Swift. D. Rihanna. Does not follow. So they follow someone. One of them, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:24 Billy Elish. What is it, Taylor Swift? Olivia Rodriguez. And who was the fourth one? Rihanna. Rihanna. I think Rihanna follows people. I think Rihanna does follow people. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:37 So take her out. Okay. I'm feeling Taylor Swift. Let me just read the question one more time for you. Which of these celebrities does not follow zero people on Instagram? So who follows people? Yeah. I think Rihanna does, and I think Taylor Swift would.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Only one of them. I think you guys are missing hearing the question. Only one person follows. I'm going to show. We're married. Oh, I got you. I got you. I think.
Starting point is 00:53:04 Oh, okay. Five seconds. They're talking it out, Noah. No, no. I just thought, okay. We're trying to eliminate people. I feel like she'd follow like Ellen. Okay, then go with you go.
Starting point is 00:53:14 You know Instagram stuff. What? Olivia Rodriguez. Yeah, go and go to God. Olivia Rodriguez. You guys still, I think, didn't understand the question. Because you got it. Yeah.
