This is state of emergency.
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Frand, giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday.
Hope everyone is having a great week so far.
We're going to be talking about the Bachelorette later on in the show.
It's our audio from cutting stem.
So if you didn't watch cutting stems, then you'll hear it on this podcast.
We're going to get into some topics and a great interview.
But first, how are you guys doing today?
I'm great.
Fantastic.
Fantastic.
What is that I just won up you?
Yeah, yeah.
Wow.
Yeah, okay.
I am feeling full of warm, delicious soup.
I was wondering if you were going to mention it.
Maria made a chicken dumpling soup in her crock pots last night.
And she brought, she was raving about it, texting us.
It's so good guys, the best thing I've ever made.
I said, well, now I need to try it.
So she brought some to work.
And I got a bowl and it was, I can agree, it was delicious.
Thank you.
It was hearty.
Like, that's a good.
I wish it wasn't so damn hot out still.
Yeah, no, it was really good.
It was the one of the, it was the best thing I've ever made.
It was delicious.
It was delicious.
Because I'm good at making.
Italian meals
those come natural
to an Italian like myself.
I can make any pasta.
I can make chicken cutlets.
I can do chicken parmesan.
Anything Italian meatballs.
I got it. This is something
out of the box that I have never
made before. Not literally out of the box.
No, no. No.
And I have never made anything
in the crock pot. So I was like,
I really
want to make something in the crock pot today.
Like it was just my goal.
I hit up Kelly Kiegs, who was a big crock pot girl, and I was like, yo, you got recipes.
She was like, oh, do I have recipes?
And she sent me over a bunch of recipes.
And this one, it was like, hmm, this is different.
Yeah.
This is something I've never made before.
Do I want to take the leap?
I had a lot of time yesterday.
And I said, you know what I do?
I want to take this leap.
And it was the best thing I've ever made.
Like, I was like, I screamed.
I went, yes, after I tried it.
swear. I was so excited.
Like, I did. I was so ridiculous.
Like, I literally was like, yes. It was so good.
I was so amped up about it.
Yeah. There is a, I'm actually upset. More people didn't get to have it.
There is actually, yeah. And he thought it was really good too. But then you did.
I tasted it. No, it tasted it. It was good. Rate it. I won't rate it on the ball scale.
But also, I feel like it's not fair because it was a little colder.
Because Pram had already been eating it all first.
Yeah, it wasn't like I served you cold soup.
Yeah, you got my scraps.
Please.
Be clear.
No, no, no, no.
Rated on the ball scale.
That's out of five.
That's out of five, yeah.
Ball scale, I'd give it a...
Does you do decimals?
Yeah, you can.
I would give it a 4-4.
That's good.
That's really good.
It was really good.
That's a really good score.
It was a good soup.
That's soup.
Truly, like, one of the best things I've ever had.
I really liked it
And I made it
I think there's a
One of those feelings
I think you can't even
Satisfaction also
when you make something
in the crockpot
because it is
It's going all day
It's a big buildup
Took me five hours
It's a big buildup
I remember as a kid
I used to think
Like it'd be like
The morning
And my mom would already be made
I'm like
How does it take this?
Yeah
Yeah
No let me tell you
Do you like going
The one
I don't mind cooking
I'm just
I'm not in my partnership.
I'm just not the good chef.
He is. He is very good.
But I find the more frustrating part to be like having to go to the grocery store and getting all the ingredients that you need.
You know, I'm like, I wish I just had everything right.
Yes.
But when you have all the spices and everything already, it's easy to just pick up a couple of things that you need.
Because you already have, it's not like you're going to the store and being.
like, I need paprika.
Like, you already have that or you should.
So it's like, you just need like the main parts of it.
Right.
So it is like, I do understand the frustration.
Also, you have to walk to the grocery store.
Good point.
If I'm going to the grocery store, either in Jersey City, I'm driving.
Yeah.
Or on Long Island, I'm driving.
Yeah, I actually do enjoy driving at the grocery store a lot.
It's so, it's, yeah.
Driving is great.
I go to the grocery store.
I miss driving.
Getting my car was the best decision I've ever made in my life.
Yeah, I buy so much when I actually do go in.
And then, like, when I go into one of the spots by my apartment, then the problem is I'm like, oh, shit, I just got so much stuff.
And I don't, I got to carry it all the way home.
Right.
No, that would also.
Yeah.
I mean, when I lived in the city.
Although I live extremely close to it.
Yeah, you do.
To a certain.
I'm not going to say the name because that'll basically give away my exact apartment location.
Really?
Yeah.
I mean, there's multiple of them.
But there's probably like a billion of them in the city.
Right.
No, not of this one.
There's a couple, but yeah, it would be easy to narrow it down.
Yeah, exactly.
So anyways.
Anyways.
But I knew, I know what you mean because when I lived in the city, I actually cooked way
less than I do now because I, the stress of, and I didn't live close to a grocery store.
Yeah.
So I had to get into an Uber to go to the grocery store and then put my, that was miserable.
That's, yeah.
With a car, it's so much easier to just drive to the grocery store and drive home.
And so I'm very proud of you.
It was very delicious.
Thank you very much.
My dad sent me a recipe last night because I called him after I made the soup.
And I was like, dad, I just made this bomb ass soup.
Like, I got to tell everybody about this.
And he was like, you know, we went to our friend's house over the weekend.
And they made crock pot pulled pork sliders.
And he was like, let me send it to you so you can make that next.
And I said, done, I'm making that next.
Do you have to specify that it was made in a crock pot
when you make something in a crock pot?
Yes.
Because it's a different way to cook it.
It cooks for four hours.
Like, or five hours or if you're going to go low heat,
eight hours.
It's a long process.
What would low heat?
You can go either way.
Like yesterday, mine cooked on high for four hours.
Or I could cook it on low for eight.
It's all the juices.
Like, you could cook a chili all day.
Like the slower you cook in the better tastes.
Theoretically.
Theoretically, I'm not exactly sure.
I haven't done the longer.
I feel like chefs, real chefs, it's like the long,
it's like, oh, this has been marinating for like three days.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, no, I'm becoming a crock pot girl for the fall,
and I have Kelly Kiggs to thank for that because she sent me over a bunch of recipes,
and now we're exchanging recipes.
Have you ever finished the bear?
No.
No, I didn't.
I did.
I finished that one.
Oh, you did?
Yeah.
What did you think of the last two episodes?
I thought it was great.
Yeah.
I'm a Jeremy Allen White fan because I thought it was really great.
I watched Shameless.
Neither of you did.
right no shameless is an amazing show and lip is one of the best characters on the show but it takes
place in chicago so when i was watching the bear i was like oh this is just lips character um grown up
which he's grown up and shameless but yeah fair it's fair fair no i was very good that is his name
right jeremy allan they were they were up there on stage last night at the emies um they were
him and don't know her name exactly but yeah i had something else i wanted to bring up to you guys uh
Shit.
That was all I had to say was that your soup was good.
Thank you.
Just good, though.
Like, your, it was very good.
I rated a better adjective.
I gave it a 4.4.
I'm needy.
Words of affirmation.
That was a, you are, you are needy.
There is a lot of pressure.
When you eat, opening a gift in front of someone, eating food.
Like, when, it was good.
But I had to, like, perform for you, kind of, you know?
Oh, I mean, come on.
I didn't say dance for me, monkey.
I just said, how was the soup?
I'm just saying, like, I felt like I had to...
Because just, I'll eat like a lobster and I love it,
but I'm not going to be like, mm.
I just like...
Okay, I get your point.
I mean, no it doesn't exactly have very animated reactions to begin with.
I'm personally somebody who, like, when I have something,
I really enjoy food-wise...
We know, you just said you screamed when you tasted your suit.
Right.
Like, I'm like, mm-hmm.
Like, I'm one of those annoying people at the table that are like,
oh my God.
Like, this is just...
so good. It's like when I was eating it, it's like
you watching my eyes. I was watching you. I know. I made everyone feel uncomfortable.
You're the person who like plays a movie and just stares at the person. That was my,
that was my dad's biggest thing. My dad is the cook in our family and he
a lot of men cooking in your life. Yeah, yeah, I know. I know. That's how it should be.
Yeah. And so he
when he would like go all day, make his big family dinner, he, I mean, when we were
growing up, he made these awesome, awesome meals. But if we sat down and if we didn't like
immediately after the first bite be like,
Dad, this is so good.
He would sit down last and he'd take a bite
and he'd be like, oh, oh,
come on, guys.
Like, come on, right?
No, I get it though.
When you put in all that work
for no dad, can I say something?
There was one time that I made
dinner for a large group of people,
okay?
Okay.
Probably 10 people or more.
You were not there, don't worry.
Yeah, I was going to say.
I don't remember.
remember this. And nobody. And I know it was good. Nobody complimented the chef. Nobody, like,
after first bites or whatever, looked up and said, wow, this is so good. And I was like, why the
fuck did I just do this? Like, seriously, like, I was like, genuinely. That's no joke. That's the exact
reaction my dad would say, what happened. We did not compliment him on his meals. You don't do it just,
you don't do it just for that reason. Because obviously, just, you know, you're hungry. You want to
feed people, the thought of feeding people, whatever.
Yeah.
But it is so rude to not thank, not, you don't even have to say it's good, but to not
even thank the person.
Yeah.
Is one of the, rude.
It's just so rude.
Like if somebody makes you say thank you, thank you so much.
You don't even have to say it's good.
Thank you.
Nothing.
And I was.
Not even like a well done.
Good job.
No.
Did they know you made it?
Yes.
I slaved over the kitchen for hours.
Okay.
Let me tell you something.
And it was a known fact that I was making it.
When you have kids, when they get to the point where they can like talk and have a conversation.
Oh, they will thank me every young.
I'm going to sit them down and say, make sure you tell your mother how good.
Every meal is that she makes you.
They will thank me.
They don't even say it's good.
They will thank me.
I had to thank my parents every time they made a meal.
And if we didn't, my dad, because my brother, he was such a suckup.
He would say thank you immediately.
As soon as everything was placed on the table, he'd be like, thank you mom and dad.
And then we would say thank you.
And my parents would be like, oh, see, Frankie said it.
And then it looks like.
Just like you're copied.
It looks like we copied.
But that was the thing.
You say thank you because that's the nice thing to do.
My kids will be saying thank you to me if I make a meal just because that's matters so that they know, not even just for me, but just so they know that when they go to somebody else's house to their friend's house and their parents make them a meal that they say thank you to the friend's parents.
But don't you think that like when I go to another person's house, I'm way, my manners are way better than when I'm at my own house.
Of course.
No, of course you're going to be way more thankful and whatever.
But I am riled up thinking about this time that I had made somebody, 10 people, you know, and nobody said anything.
I remember texting.
My family was not involved.
Were you in a apartment setting or a home setting?
A home setting somewhere.
And I remember texting, like my sister being like, I cannot believe I slaved over this stove.
And not one person was like,
I was sitting there like this
I think of like where you were
I think of where you were
I was sitting there like this like
you know like head up like like not like barely
like hey Tom how you enjoy in your
and I remember I gave myself like
a lot less because I was like I am so
nervous like for everybody else to eat this
like whatever and it was one of my specialties
so I know it was good
and
I did you make
not one single person
I made spaghetti meatballs
Oh, wow, I was going to say.
What's the other pasta that you make that?
Spicy rigatoni.
No, no, the other one.
Pasta glauagia.
Yeah, that one's, that one's so good.
The whole night.
But you had my spaghetti and meatballs.
They're very good.
No.
I feel like I'm forcing you at a gunpoint to say they're good.
You have the spaghetti of meatballs.
Ah, they're good.
They're good.
Don't chew me.
Hands off.
They're good.
I wasn't there.
I wasn't there.
It's good meatballs.
No, it was just.
Genuinely stunning.
But like the whole night.
I don't remember, because I remember I was,
I can't picture.
When you're cleaning up the plates.
There might have been one person.
Did you also,
did you also clean after dinner?
There might have been one person in the group.
I feel like they colluded against you and we're like,
guys,
no one acknowledged.
Listen, listen.
I will say there might have been one person in the group that may have said,
like, thank you.
This is so good.
But they were so distant to me in terms of like how I knew them or whatever.
That it didn't care.
That it didn't.
feel as, you know what I mean?
I don't care about your opinion.
I do, but I was like, you're saying thank you and how good it is, but nobody else is.
Like, this is infuriating.
I'm now picturing the reactions that Marty is going to need to have as you continue to cook
these meals.
Like, if he's not crying on the ground after these pulled pork sliders, I don't know.
He basically gets on the ground and like kisses my feet.
No, I'm kidding.
He has great reactions.
He's like, yeah.
He has to?
What if he genuinely didn't like something?
No, that's fine.
I would rather, I keep telling him,
I would rather know if something's not,
because I like to tweak things.
Don't fake it.
Like I made chicken coutlets and mashed potatoes the other night.
My chicken coutlets were bomb.
My mashed potatoes were not.
I made mashed potatoes from scratch for the first time.
Didn't really know how to do it.
Whatever.
Flavor was there.
Consistency wasn't.
And we were talking about it and I was like,
what could we do better with these mashed potatoes?
I want honesty.
I just need.
some sort of reaction. It could be awful.
I would be so stressed.
I'm making it sound way more stressful.
This is not a stressful.
No, at the end of the day, it's a normal.
Yeah, you cooked a meal.
A great meal.
Thank you and this was very good will suffice.
And if you hated it, tell me so I can make it better in the future.
I am open to criticism.
But saying nothing about the meal whatsoever, I won't take that.
No.
They could have all told me that the meal stunk and I would have thought that was better than nothing.
Right.
You know what I mean?
It could have said, oh, really.
things for all the work you did.
Wasn't my favorite. Yeah, like, wasn't the, you know, you could
add a little this, add a little that. I would be like, you know what?
To be completely honest, even if they didn't, it's the polite thing to do in that kind of
setting to fit. Nobody was no. But like my boyfriend would say it. And that kind of setting
with 10 people around, like, the polite thing to do is say, but thank you, that was great,
even if you didn't think it was great. Right. But for Marty, like, I told him, I was like,
you tell me if you don't like something. Like, I need to know because I'm not going to slave over
You better believe I throw in some critiques sometimes.
And Joe probably says, yeah, he takes it in and he tweaks it.
Yep, correct.
Exactly.
And now he has some dishes that he has absolutely perfected and then he looks at me.
I'm like, Joe, it's really, really good.
Like, you've perfected this one.
And you're telling me Joe looks at you for approval of your meal.
Yeah, of course.
Thank you.
No, was making me sound like a crazy person.
No, I'm not.
I'm just saying it's, I would be worried now.
I'd be like, oh, I have to let me.
Worried because 10 to 12 people at a dinner party didn't say thank you or
comment on my meal.
is not the same thing for me cooking for one person.
Yes, very different, very different.
No, no.
Fuck them all.
All right.
Let's get in the topics.
Let's do it.
We will be talking about the Emmys that were last night.
Jacob Allorty will be playing Elvis in the new Priscilla movie, controversial.
I can't believe we're talking about in this movie.
Deja vu, baby.
We're also going to have the Cutting Sems Bachelor at Recap, and we have a great interview with Ashley Tisdale that I'm assuming everybody who listened to this podcast will be
very happy about. So let's get into it, starting off with the Emmys. And I do want to say,
before we get into the show, and I want to mention because it, Noah brought it up, but it
ended, it happened at the end of our interview with Ashley Tisdale. Big shout to Megan Traynor.
We love Megan Traynor. Thank you, Megan, Traynor. She is a real one. Ashley was telling us how,
like, Megan talks to her about her business, all these things, their friends. And Meg was like,
oh, you got to go and chicks in the office. So she, Megan, is the absolute best. We love her. I just
wanted to throw that in there. Okay, now let's... Now I want Megan
back on the podcast. I know, I know. She does have to come back.
It's been a while. Just to talk shit. Like, I don't
even want to talk about it. Like, I just want her
to come on. We just talk. Yeah, yeah. Okay, let's
get into the Emmys.
Slick is a line of frozen cocktail pots
available in different spirit-based packs,
agave margarita, rum-dacery, and
their newest release, whiskey highballs.
It is the easiest
way to have, like, a nice
frozen cocktails right in the pops.
You don't have to worry about, you know, bring out the blender
and the mess and all those things.
It's only premium spirits that are used 100% blue agave spirit,
Caribbean white rum, and barrel-aged bourbon to deliver incredible refreshing taste.
Each pop contains 8% ABV and only natural flavors,
all coming in at under 100 calories.
They are super convenient.
You can throw them in the cooler.
You can take them to a tailgate.
You know, we're getting into fall.
So I feel like that is the perfect time to whip these bad boys out.
And just know that once you slick, sipping will never be there.

All right.
Let's get into the Emmys.
Who knew?
Monday.
I found out at 6 p.m. on Monday.
Who knew the Emmys were going to be on Monday night?
I couldn't believe my eyes.
eyes when I feel as if I saw the, I started seeing red carpet photos. I said that's,
that's happening right now. I feel as if there were commercials leading up to it that I completely
ignored. Like there definitely were. Emmys on tomorrow. Like during football on Sunday. It was like,
Emmys on tomorrow night. And it was like. I think they were. Yeah, there were. But they were also.
I kept seeing things that were like Emmys, September 12th. And in my mind, I wasn't, I wasn't
thinking what day of the week is that. I was just kind of assuming it was a Sunday.
shows are always on Sunday night. So I was just kind of thinking, oh, it's a Sunday night.
And it was not on a Sunday night. It was on a Monday night, which I don't know has that ever
happened. Like, I feel like it's always been Sundays. I don't know. I don't know, but they changed
this. They changed the show. I always feel like the award shows during the week are the ones that we
don't really care about. Which one? Exactly. Didn't they like just not have an award show last year for
one of the award shows? They just didn't have one. Well, they did that. It was either golden
For pandemic reasons.
Maybe Golden Globes?
Yeah, maybe it was a Golden Globes.
Oh, no, they just didn't have the Golden Globes.
Remember, because it went right to the Oscars?
Yeah.
They just, like, skipped it.
The Emmys, and they, I don't know, I can't remember.
This was a, the setup of this was more Golden Globes-esque, I would say.
Like, it was all people sitting at tables.
It felt a little bit more casual, which has that Golden Globes feel.
It wasn't.
Like an audience.
Yeah, like it wasn't, like, just a full.
It was at the Microsoft Theater.
There was a Golden Globes this year.
No, like the awards were given out, but I'm saying like a televised show.
January 9th, 2020, at 9 p.m.
Okay.
So I don't really know what you're talking about, no.
There wasn't.
I know that for a fact.
Okay.
Then there was something.
Maybe it was 2020.
I thought it was 20.
No, 2020.
Oh, no.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Stop asking questions.
Yeah.
There wasn't a 20-21.
Anyway, anyway.
Keenan Thompson.
hosted the Emmys. It started
with like a
dance number. Interesting choice.
It was like, it was fine. Didn't really
You know it was funny. Glenn
ran, not ran into,
he saw Keene Thompson on his flight to L.A.
recently and he was going to get his Hollywood star.
Oh, that's so nice.
I mean, I, Keenan is...
Can you say that to him? I don't really know.
Exactly.
Hey, Glennie, I'm going to get my star.
No, well, if you could...
He puts two and two together. He was going to get a star, I think.
Keenan's been putting in the work for a year, long time.
And Keenan Thompson used to be very funny.
He had a, I'll be honest, he had a couple jokes that did make me laugh, I will say.
Well, he hosted something recently that I was like, get him.
Because I love Keenan Thompson, obviously, Keenan and Cal, who loves Arn's Soda, but he hosted something.
He did a good bird. He did a good book in the show.
Yeah. I saw.
What did he host where I was like, he's so.
unfunny that is hurting me.
The Grammy.
Oh, no, it was the People's Choice Awards.
Oh, and you were there?
Wasn't it?
Didn't Keenan Thompson host the People's Choice Awards?
No.
He didn't host.
He might have just been like a presenter.
You're telling me Keenan Thompson didn't host people's stores awards.
Hosting everyone.
I knew it.
He did.
He knew it.
The year that last year.
Yeah, when we went to the People's Choice Awards,
Keenan Thompson was hosting.
Keenan Thompson to host 2021 People's Choice Awards.
Yeah.
I wouldn't know what was outside.
Well, we were at the,
event and he made a
maybe he has more room at the Emmys to make better jokes
yeah he had some Netflix jokes that were funny
he had some
he made a
joke about Zendaya just turning
26 and now she's too old to date
Leonardo DiCaprio it's like a
relevant joke that's like
it's and that's one for Kenan Thompson
I felt like that you know that's pushing in a little
where I feel like Keenan's plays it very
safe most of the time that's what
It was.
Yeah.
That was my critique about Kenan Thompson was that he was playing it.
Like,
like,
you're off Nickelodeonian,
Keenan.
Yeah.
No one will ever be better than Ricky Traves at hosting awards shows.
He is very,
well,
that's because he lets us fly.
I'll be honest.
Tina Faye and Amy Poehler are my faves when they would do the Golden Globes.
I love them together.
They were so funny.
So there was those moments.
We're like the modern day Tina Faye and Amy Foller.
We're so not.
If only.
Yeah.
In our dreams.
Yeah.
We stink.
Who would you be?
You would be Tina Faye.
She would be Tina Faye.
Hair because of the hair or because of the personality?
I just feel like I'm more of a Tina.
I agree.
I agree.
You're not a Tina.
I don't feel like a Tina.
More of an Amy.
Yeah.
And why are you say that?
You seem very confident in your answers.
You just aren't.
I feel like Tina Faye is more laid back.
What do you mean?
What does that mean?
Like, just her style is more similar to friends.
Oh, I'm boring.
No, not boring.
He said laid back as if I'm not laid back.
No, no, no.
He's explaining this very poorly.
I can tell.
Every time you guys say something about me on the podcast,
you guys make me sound awful.
I'm not gonna laugh.
What are you talking about?
She said I was needy before.
Like, I could say I'm needy,
and she said you are needy,
and then you just said, I'm not laid back.
You said it first.
I didn't say you weren't laid back.
You guys aren't the same.
But you have to clarify, you know,
when you joke around about yourself
and it's like, oh.
You know who you are?
you're what's her facing euphoria where that scene where she's like we're we're broken up or
whatever and he's like yeah we're broken up mattie yeah and she's like why are you saying it yeah yeah
that's so me i don't really get the i don't really get what you're trying to say about you just
have different styles like like are you arguing with me about that like you're i just don't
no we do have different styles but i don't like like if this was just uh any comedy
fran would be more the straight man like and then you would be the other one
Like, she'd be Mark Wahlberg and then you'd be well for, like in the other guys.
Like, that type of dynamic.
Oh, okay.
You know what I'm saying?
I, yeah.
Okay, that actually is explained it a little better.
That is like how she's Steve Martin and I'm Martin short.
Yeah.
Yes.
Oh, okay.
I get what you're saying?
Like, you're thinking of what's the movie?
Like laid back isn't an insult either way.
What's the movie?
No, I know.
But have you guys seen baby mama?
No.
No, baby mama with Tina Faye and Amy Poehler?
That's the comparison you're making.
Yeah, I've seen the trailer.
No, that's what I'm saying.
Like, there's always one...
Straight lace.
Like, if we were Ted,
Fran would be Mark Wahlberg
and I would be Ted.
Yes.
Yes.
I'm trying to think of other ones.
The plot of Baby Mama is Tina Fey is like...
She's more straightforward.
Yes.
That's not even the word.
Tina Fey, like, is like, she's trying...
She is single and she always works,
and then she, like, decides she wants to have a baby,
and then she has Amy Polar,
like, wacky Amy Polar,
her surrogate.
Like, think about 30 Rock.
Like, when she's funny on 30 Rock, it's kind of like, I don't know how to explain it,
but she's just kind of like being herself.
Amy Puller's more like jumping around.
I cannot.
I'm doing a terrible job.
I understand.
You are, but I also understand.
I think it was when you said laid back threw me off.
Yeah, that was the wrong thing to say.
Because I feel like I'm extremely, maybe too laid back.
Yeah, that wasn't the right word, but.
That was the wrong thing.
Either way.
He did not mean that.
That was the, that was not the right.
But laid back, I meant more like, I don't know what I mean.
No, he didn't know.
He didn't even know what he means.
He meant.
No, I know what I'm trying to say, but I can't say it.
I have to be honest.
I got to be honest about something.
I know we're talking about the Emmys, but there was a DM,
there was a DM sent to chicks in the office the other day about me and Noah that
made me so uncomfortable that I was like, I can't even, like, am I not allowed to
speak to Noah on the podcast anymore?
Why?
Do you not see it?
Because I almost sent it.
and made a joke about it.
I'm sure, because it was already open.
So I was like, oh, somebody must open this.
But it was like, it was like,
Noah and Ria obviously have feelings for each other.
Why don't they just bang it out?
And I was so.
I was like, oh, yeah, I'm not going to acknowledge.
I thought about sending it.
No, right?
I thought about sending it.
And then I was like, no, I got to wait until we're in person to talk about this.
Because then I was like, am I not allowed to speak to Noah on the podcast?
It's so preposterous that I was like.
People say the same thing about you and Trent.
A lot of people, a lot.
A lot of people mistake that kind of banter as sexual banter,
and it's just like brother-sister banter.
It's more like we've known each other for too long banter.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't even know, I don't think it's any different than like...
What banter are we talking about?
Like, just me talking to you?
Yeah, that's why I said, like, I was like...
You guys have a rapport?
Yeah, yeah.
Just like how...
Classic, classic no one real.
Classic no one would.
We actually, I got a tweet.
like that yesterday.
Wait, sorry.
Let me find it.
I'm sorry.
That wasn't a sigh.
It was just a deep breath.
Oh, wait, wait.
This is from Mike Ferreiro, his tweet yesterday.
This NDA conversation on chicks in the office has me laughing out loud while I'm donating
blood.
Classic at Ria and Noah.
I think it's because we said that.
Yeah, because of the, yeah, yeah.
Anyways.
Oh, let's get into the winners.
Anyways.
Let's get into the winners, shall we?
There are some good moments, good speeches.
I feel like the shows that won, they're fairly predictable.
Like the big shows, Succession 1, Drama Series, Ted Lassau won comedy series,
White Lotus one limited series, which I still have not watched.
I can't believe you have most of them.
So people, like I said, it is really tough.
That show.
Like, I was looking at the chicks in the office comments after Devin had posted that White Lotus won,
and people were like, the show was so bad.
I just don't. Devin actually didn't like it either. I genuinely really liked it. I really liked it.
I could see people hating it or loving it. I think you can go either way. Like I could see why people
wouldn't like it. It does have an 89% critic score on Tomatoes and a 74% audience. I could see why people
wouldn't like it. Yeah. And I could see why people love it. I totally get it. I still think you should
watch it. Devin also texted me last night and said,
said, is Succession really that good?
Some people, my dad
She's never watched it?
But I like it.
I mean, I think Succession is all the characters are so hateable.
So like if you...
So hateable, but so lovable.
Not really lovable.
No, you would love to hate them.
Yeah.
Yeah, they're all bad people.
And they're funny, though.
They're funny bad.
Yeah, I mean, it's a very entertaining show.
No, it is.
I'm a big fan of Secession.
Devin should watch it.
She's not a big TV.
watcher, shockingly enough, actually.
I feel she watches a lot of reality.
For actresses...
That sounds strange, because if you follow her on Instagram,
it seems like she watches a lot of TV.
But if you were to ask her, she would say otherwise.
Lee Jungjai won for Squid Game, lead actress.
Squid Game also won a lot of stuff.
That was funny, speaking of Devin,
that she posted that on her own Instagram.
And it looked like you were like a huge fan of like...
Devin posted a Chicks in the Office graphic.
That was so funny.
About Squid Game winning.
That was so funny.
I was laughing so hard.
Yeah.
Zendaya won for actress.
In a, what?
The first South Korean actress.
This is actress in a...
They must have...
Devin's like, yes!
We're waiting for South Korean
to get the recognition they deserve.
Yep, that's what it looks like.
Did...
I'm so confused.
This says that Zendaya won for lead actress in a comedy series.
Oh, no, I'm looking.
Fran.
I'm reading this long.
Sorry.
No, no, no, no.
It's classic.
Classic.
I can't read or speak anymore.
Lead actor in a drama series, Lee won for Squid Game.
Yes.
Lead actress in a drama series, Zendaya won for Euphoria.
There you go.
I'm like, for some reason I'm reading this.
like upside down which is yeah not upside down but in non chronological order yeah yeah yeah i was
basically reading it upside down um bottom to top yes lead actress
zendaya speech was great she looked absolutely stunning as always yes she does not ever missed
a red carpet that she's ever walked on i feel like at this point there's a clip people
were talking about where she was like i'm going to text my boyfriend yeah yeah yeah i said
And people are like, oh my God.
Like, who do you text first after you win an award?
She called him her boyfriend.
Like, yeah, it's her boyfriend.
Yeah.
It made me giddy.
I'm not going to lie.
I know it is her boyfriend, but I was like...
Is that your favorite celebrity couple?
They're up there.
But sometimes I forget about them because they're just low-key.
I feel like they're always out together.
I feel like I always see them taking pictures with fans like on the street.
I don't know, maybe.
Lead, actress, in a...
comedy series went to Gene Smart for hacks.
Everybody says amazing things about hacks.
That's something I have not watched.
Actor in a comedy series was Jason Stakes for Ted Lassow.
No drama there.
Take that.
No drama there.
He's just winning awards.
Michael Keaton won for Doapsick and Amanda
Seifred won for the dropout.
I thought you'd deserve that.
Yeah, yeah.
There's a lot of very good.
good performances in a lot of these categories, I will say.
And what do you think about Jimmy Kimmel?
Yeah, I'm getting there.
The actor, Murray Bartlett, one for the White Lotus for supporting Matthew McFadden, one for Succession.
Tom is just like the best.
Tom's my favorite character, I would say.
Same.
Julia Garner won for Ozark.
And Roman.
and Roman yeah I like Tom better though I mean I know people love Cousin Greg which is fair but like Tom and Cousin Greg's dynamic is my favorite part of the show I think I've met Nicholas Braun too many times fair
That sounded sick brag that sounded crazy I didn't mean to say it like that I just meant like I feel like
You know what I mean like it's almost not a TV show character I met the Jones brother so many times I don't
even like their music anymore. No, no, I love Cousin Greg as the character, but
I think he's pretty similar to Cousin Greg in real life. I feel like he is
the same guy. Yeah, like he's, his personality is pretty similar. In my opinion. I wouldn't
know. You've met him. Yeah, but not as many times. How many times have you met him?
Couple times. Yeah. I guess it wouldn't be meeting after that point. Yeah, yeah. Hanging out.
This is what you were to, oh no, this is not what you were talking about. Charlie, Ralph, one for
Abbott Elementary.
I think Abbott Elementary
has gotten a lot of talk.
I've not watched it, which is I'm mad at myself.
Everything is just frame.
I'm like, I haven't watched it.
No, there is a lot that I have watched.
Like Ted Lasso I've watched Succession.
I watch Squid Game.
Squid Game.
But Abbott Elementary.
Squid game.
Abbott Elementary has a lot of, a lot of hype.
A lot of great things people say
about it.
Is it about an elementary school?
Sure is. Sure is.
A serious show?
No, it's like a comedy.
It's on ABC.
About teachers?
Yeah, it's about like the how school.
Wait.
Oh my God, I love that.
So is it really?
You're not interested in...
Something about it being on TV
makes me like, oh, like there's commercial breaks and stuff like that.
You can watch it on a movie.
No, no, I know. I just like...
It's kind of like parks and rec-esque.
I think.
But it's like in an elementary school.
I actually really like that idea.
Abbott Elementary
is an American mockumentary
sitcom television series created by Quinta Brunson.
It's about a fictional
predominantly black school in Philadelphia.
And I have heard it is very, very funny.
And she won,
Quinta won for writing,
I think.
Was that what she won for when Jimmy Kimmel
was up there? Oh, I'm not sure.
I think it was writing.
And,
that everybody was upset because Jimmy Kimmel was, like, doing this bit before.
It was a stupid bit first.
And then he was doing this bit with Will Arnett, and then he was like supposed to be drunk, right?
He was supposed to be like, yeah, he got drunk and he was just passed out on the stage.
Yeah, so he was like, ah, Jimmy.
He dragged him out.
Did the, like, here's the nominations.
Then when she won, she came up, but he didn't move.
He didn't move.
So, like, she's giving her acceptance speech and Jimmy Kimmel just laying on the ground next year.
It was like, everyone was like, this feels kind of disrespectful.
And she was kind of like, Jimmy, like, thinking, I think she thought he was.
going to get up. Yeah, and then he just didn't get up.
It kind of is. It's like your moment.
Yeah, she didn't interview afterwards where she was like, she's very funny and she didn't
interview afterwards. I was like, look, I like, I like, I have a relationship with him.
So it didn't feel like that big of a deal in the moment, but I'll take a day, think about it.
And if I'm mad at him, I'm going on his show. Like on Wednesday, I'll punch him in the face.
She was like, if I decide I'm mad about it, like I'll get mad about it.
It did sound like she kind of was annoyed. Yeah, I would be annoyed too. I think I would literally
be like, can you get up?
Yeah.
If she, like, kicked in, that'd be funny.
Yeah.
I would be, I would be annoyed, too.
I'm not going to lie.
Brett Goldstein won for Ted Lassow.
Jennifer Coolidge, one for White Lotus.
I think everybody really laughed at her accepted speech because she got up there as classic
Jennifer Coolidge fashion.
She was a little frazzled.
She was making jokes.
And then they played, like, the first walk-off song.
And then it turned in to hit the road jack.
And then she just started dancing to hit the roadjack.
Who else was in her category?
The entire cast of White Lotus.
Okay.
So can I say something?
Five actresses from the White Lotus.
Connie Brin,
Alexander Dario,
Natasha Rothwell,
Sidney,
Sweetney.
It was five people from the White Lotus
and two from Dobsick.
I'm going to keep my thoughts to myself.
No.
I think that one of the other people
from White Lotus deserves a better one.
I actually don't.
And I didn't see Doapsick.
But Jennifer Coolidge
in the White Lotus,
like genuinely,
and I know people are going to get so bad
at this take,
didn't do it for me at all.
Like genuinely, I was annoyed at her character
majority of the time.
So maybe she did do a good job.
And I thought she could have easily
been removed from the show.
But the funny part is she's the only one
returning for the second season.
Which then I think will be funny.
Like I think her returning,
her arc in the show
and then returning for the second season, I think will make sense.
Yeah.
But for a little bit, it was like,
why is she a part of this show?
Would you agree?
Oh, yeah.
I mean, I wasn't like looking
out of all the characters, she wasn't the storyline.
No, I was, whenever she was on the screen, I was like, all right, let's fast forward here.
And then Lizzo won for competition show for Lizzo's Watchoff for the Big Girls, and she had a great speech as well.
I think that Lizzo, she had a funny bit too with Keenan.
She's had a great speech.
It was honestly a pretty good show.
Like, I thought it ran pretty seamlessly, besides the fact it was on Monday.
So I feel like not a lot of people even realized that it was on.
And I had one, I had four, I posted this on my Instagram story.
I had four dresses, red carpets that I really liked.
Zendaya, obviously.
It's like, I didn't even have to put her.
It's like a given, you know?
Is she going to miss one of these days?
No.
Christina Richie, I loved.
And Ella Pernell, both, for her.
from Yellow Jackets.
A lot of C...
I don't know why I just gravitated
towards a little sparkly numbers
for this.
They both looked fantastic.
Amanda Seifred,
I really liked hers as well.
El Fanning, I really did not like.
That was probably the one that I was like...
I didn't see El Fanning.
It's not good.
Did the Graykin nominated for anything?
Yeah.
Oh, but didn't win anything.
No.
Nicholas Holt was my best dressed man.
Underrated.
He is great.
This was...
This was Emmys.
She's had some great Emmys, but then this was hers this time.
I just didn't.
Oh, yeah.
I just didn't really.
Don't love.
Felt like the dress had too much going on and the hair.
Like, I just, what?
Didn't feel cohesive in my mind.
But I do love El Fanning.
So, and I love the great.
The great is a great show.
That's the one I, apparently I watch all the shows that don't win.
But they are good shows.
But all in all, I felt like it was a fairly entertaining.
program.
What's more prestigious if you're in a TV show to win?
Emmys or Golden Globes?
I feel like probably Emmys.
I have no idea.
I guess Emmys, but I feel like you'd be happy to win any award at that point.
I'd take either one of them.
Emmy Golden Globes.
Just feel like they're both kind of on equal playing field.
Yeah.
But Oscars obviously above.
Well, yeah, that's.
But I don't get why.
That's dedicated to movies.
Emmys is dedicated to TV.
I don't know.
Movies are just higher up in the rankings, I guess.
Yeah.
You're asking these questions.
Like we have all the answers.
Jimmy Kimmel would never lie on the floor at the Oscars.
And you would also say that nobody would slap somebody at the Oscars.
That's true.
I actually don't think you can confidently say that because I bet you he would.
As a bit?
Like while Leonardo Capia is accepting his award.
At this point in time, they do some pretty silly bits at the Oscars.
Yeah, I guess.
So I don't think you can really count out anything over there.
But yes, that was the Emmys.
We got another Elvis in the works.
I can't believe it.
So there is another Elvis movie being made, but it's more about Priscilla.
It's called Priscilla.
And Jacob Allorty will be playing Elvis.
And now I'd imagine Austin Butler is in shambles over this.
And not just because he played Elvis.
and is Elvis, but
his current girlfriend,
Kyra Gerber, dated Jacob Allorty,
and they dressed up as Elvis and
Priscilla together. And so now
it's like, Kyraber
has needed both Elvis's, like,
besides the man Elvis.
It's actually pretty funny.
People are freaking out about this. They're like,
why wouldn't you just have Austin Butler play
this Elvis? But it's kind of like,
it's kind of like the Joker. Yeah, you can't
have him play. You can't have him
jumped movies. He's not Elvis.
You can't just literally be Elvis.
You can't do that.
He's in Vegas right now.
This is an entirely different movie.
I actually don't agree with the people saying that.
I definitely think there should be a different Elvis because there should just be more time before another Elvis movie comes out.
Well, I think there's going to be a lot of time because they got to make the thing.
It would creep me out if we saw Austin Butler playing Elvis in another movie because then it would really reach the point like, okay, no, he is Elvis.
No, no, you can't do that.
And like I said, it's like the Batman, it's Joker.
There's so many people that play the same heart.
It makes sense when it's a series or like a trilogy.
Like when you have the same actor playing Batman across multiple movies that it makes sense.
But then it's not like you have that Batman just jumping.
It would be like Christian.
It would be like Washington.
Yeah.
Like if Christian Bale, when they decided the DC movies and they were going to make Ben Affleck,
Batman. It was like, well, we're Christian Bail's Batman. You don't need, Christian Bail doesn't have to be Batman in every single movie. Right. As much as people want him to. He isn't Batman. Yeah. So, and like this is an entirely different movie, so. That seems kind of silly. But this is Sophia Coppola. She is making, uh, the movie Priscilla. It's based on the Priscilla's memoir called Elvis and Me. Kaley, Spain. I don't know how to say her name. Neither do I. Fun, fun.
I auditioned for a Sophia Coppola movie that El Fanning got the part.
El Fanning beat me out of two parts of my life.
I had a dollar for every time you didn't get a part.
Judeel Fanning.
You would have...
You'd have two dollars.
Yeah, you'd have hundreds of dollars.
I mean, I've auditioned for so many things that didn't get a part.
But does it matter now?
Okay.
We have a successful podcast.
And you still could.
Who knows?
Yeah.
My dad gave me that talk the other day.
Well, like that you could still be back.
And you could be...
Your dreams could come to you?
Yeah, he's like, one day.
I know it one day.
I'm like, dad.
I think we got to give this up.
I actually agree with it.
You've been telling me since I was eight years old one day,
but I haven't seen that day come.
I'm on record for agreeing with that.
Whatever.
I'll probably get beat out by El Fanning again.
Al Fanning's in the new season about a bank.
Kaylee is playing Priscilla and Jacob's going to play Elvis.
This book was published in 1985,
and it is just her account of her life with Elvis.
she adapted the script.
She has apparently been wanting to make...
Sophia Copo has apparently been wanting to make this movie
for a long time.
She met with a number of actors for the Elvis role.
I feel like I'm probably saying her last name wrong,
but Kaylee was her top choice from the beginning for Priscilla.
There was a rumor I saw yesterday.
No, I think you said it that she wanted Justin Bieber to play Elvis.
Yeah.
And he said, turned it down.
I saw that in a lot of different places.
Yeah, that would have been interesting.
But no, but like, why are we just saying that pop stars can act?
They can't, like, what makes you think Bieber could put on a performance?
I would have, some can.
I wouldn't have liked Justin Bieber as Elvis.
Because Justin Bieber is a very different sounding voice.
Like, I think he'd have to tweak his voice.
But also they're too big in real life.
He's so Justin Bieber.
No one's going to see him as anything but Justin Bieber.
He's so Justin Bieber.
It's the same Harry Styles logic for not casting him in the other Elvis.
I think they're learning that like even during the press with Harry Styles.
It's like people just, you can't do anything with that.
You know what I love about Justin Bieber that he's never been in, never acted.
He's on Dave, but as himself.
Right.
Like, he's never played a part.
He's never played a, uh, a role.
I think he's only played Justin Bieber.
I think that's, I think you're probably right off.
So that's what I'm saying, like, how are we like going from never playing anything to
like, we're going to cast them as Elvis?
Right, right, right.
Like just because he can say.
Yeah.
Acting and singing are two different things.
Yeah, they are.
He was in Zoolander, too.
As Justin Bieber.
Yeah, Justin Bieber, Justin Bieber, Justin Bieber.
I'm looking at his IMDB.
Justin Bieber.
These are all music videos, so obviously he's playing himself.
Yeah.
I think he's really just always been himself.
I can't see him being an actor.
But who knows?
Maybe.
Oh, uh, uh, uh, he was in, he was in CSI in 2010.
Early on in his career, he played somebody named Jason McCann in two episodes.
But those are like all the people who, that's like, yeah, Demi Lovato did all those too.
Law and Order was like a given. If you, if you were going to be something, you were in Law and Order.
I was not in Law and Order. Wow. I would actually, I want to go back and watch this.
I know. I actually can't say law.
You're like, Law Order. He portrayed a.
Serial bomber.
Law and order.
I can't say it.
Season 11 of CSI.
Wait, what?
It was his second acting job for television.
So what was the first?
Cubed.
He was in a show called cubed.
Anyways, Jacob Bellort is playing Elvis,
and I think he's been leaving hints.
He was seen wearing an Elvis t-shirt a little while ago.
He dressed up as Elvis for Halloween a couple years ago.
I think...
I feel like that was literally last year.
He was with Kyah Gerber.
Maybe he was last.
She's still dating with you.
Yeah.
There's speculation.
They've been seen in London recently.
Yeah, there was like articles that they broke up.
But then I think Dumas had posted some sightings of that somebody saw them like in London walk.
They were walking his dog.
Apparently he called her live.
Yeah, yeah.
He grabbed her and said, let's go live.
He noticed somebody recognized them and he's like, we know too much.
Way too much.
We were there for the conception.
Honestly, it did seem like we were there for the conception.
Yeah, I forgot.
Yeah, there was a very good Halloween gossip.
Oh, 2020, they did it.
Let's see a close-up of him as Elvis.
Let's see.
I don't know if they're, they did this whole video.
There he is.
What do you think?
He's like too tall.
I know.
I was going to say the same thing.
To be Elvis.
He's so tall.
I don't know how tall Elvis is, but I don't think he's that tall.
How tall you think Elvis was?
I'm saying 6-1.
Or C.
Yes, six one.
Elvis was six feet.
No, Austin Butler is six feet.
Austin Butler also, his mom passed away at the age of 23 just like Elvis.
He is tall.
I'm not making a joke.
Jacob's listed at 6'5.
Jacob Alorty.
We saw him in person.
He was the tallest man I've ever seen besides cousin Greg.
He is really tall.
Also Australian people forget.
Yeah, so it's going to be harder for him to even be Elvis.
Yeah
He's got to be an Australian
Playing an American
Playing Elvis
What is?
A lot of layers
This Elvis craze
All of a sudden
Yeah I thought one Elvis movie
Was enough
Why don't we need another one?
From what this seems
It looks like
Sophia Coppola has wanted to do this
For a long time
So maybe
I'm really excited for Timothy Shalama
To play Bob Dylan
That's one I feel like
I haven't even thought about that
Like he looks
Like I feel like he'll be really good
this is being made with 824 too which has made a lot of good movies recently i feel like i feel like
824 every 824 movies oh did i say 822 did i just say no you said 824 oh i did okay i feel like all
the movies they do are so good yeah they've been really good uh recently for sure so that's that's a
new that's a new alvis and priscilla we got coming like you said it's probably going to be a few
years a couple years i would guess yeah i'm guessing like 20 25 i'm gonna go i'm gonna go
what day it's oh 2024 sorry i'm gonna go like a christmas 2024 release oh so like leading into
2025 yeah but still technically 24 i like when the wolf of wall street came out yeah yeah sure
well because we lost that trivia question yeah we did we did because we were like that's basically
2020 yes um yeah so that's a that's a new a new elvis cannot wait to see how emerged jacob already
gets into this role.
He has a lot to live up to.
If he was funny, he would, like, when he does the press for the movie,
would talk. Talking.
He does. He really, he really does.
And honestly, he has fairly big shoes to fill.
Austin Butler did a really good job. He was phenomenal.

Yeah. I want them both to dress up as Elvis and have a dance battle.

Look at that new hair on Kelly.
Look at Kelly's new hair.
I have new hair.
Absolutely fabulous.
It's divine.
I think it's very dark on the screen.
It looks so dark on the screen.
It's very dark on the screen.
It's not this dark.
You're a beautiful Auburn goddess.
It looks so good.
I'm feeling crazy about it.
I'm feeling crazy.
tearing up when I saw you because it was that.
Your reactions were good. I think, I mean,
Gia's jaw dropped. So amazing.
So beautiful. You're stunning.
You're gorgeous. Thank you guys. You doesn't make me cry. You're being really nice.
I would rather talk about your hair for the next 20 minutes than this god-awful episode of this show,
which could have been just added to next week.
Like, I would have rather sat there for four hours next week than watch this two-hour and 15-minute show tonight
and then watch three hours next week.
Like, this whole thing could have been shortened.
They threw Gabby's thing on the end of it.
Like, they didn't even care because they were so caught up in this even a Rachel drama.
The whole thing is ridiculous.
It's all ridiculous.
They need to figure this show the fuck out.
You know what I honestly think it is?
And I'm starting to get it a little woke on it, especially with this 15 minute.
We went past lines or whatever, but we still somehow had three fucking commercials during that.
We went past the time.
I think that they oversold the shows and they need more time to add more commercials.
I'm not even kidding.
That's a very possible point.
It does feel like they have stretched this out completely.
it does not need to be this long.
I really do think these last dates
could have been like put together
with fantasy sweets.
Fantasy sweets could have been one episode
and then last week could have been all of this stuff
and then we could have had a live finale for three hours
and we would have fit everything.
There was just like, there was a lot of dragging it out
for no reason.
This part that we watched really,
I get, you want to see Zach
and Avan have their time to talk to.
Rachel, but they really could have fit those conversations in next week.
It's not like they were lengthy conversations.
No, no.
So it really felt like it has been dragging on.
I think it, you know, it started off with Zach going home.
He pulled Rachel aside at the Rose ceremony and talked about how he felt like, you know,
she wasn't being genuine in the fantasy suites.
And he said he was going to walk away.
And that was it.
He left.
and Rachel didn't shed a tear.
She didn't seem very upset.
I think that's exactly what she wanted.
Like you said, it's exactly what she wanted.
That's exactly what you wanted to happen.
It's what she wanted to happen when they had their overnight,
when she was trying to bully him into thinking that he was too young for this decision,
despite the fact he's only two months younger than Rachel.
So, like, I don't understand why she even brought him to the rose ceremony.
Like, just dump him.
Like, she's the worst dumper of all time.
She can't dump anybody.
Yeah, I don't think she makes everybody.
makes everybody feel bad for things that they necessarily shouldn't really feel bad for.
And I also think, and I'm kind of fast forwarding here, but the way that she was on stage and he had to talk to her and then Avin had to talk to her.
And it was like, why can't Rachel be wrong at all?
When the Bachelor, like, don't you feel like they made Clayton feel like she was wrong?
Oh, yeah.
When he was on stage.
They all were like, you did this and you did this and you did this.
With the girls, they don't do it like that.
Right, exactly.
Even the host that was kind of like interrogating Clayton or whatever.
But when it comes to Rachel in this case, it's like everyone has to apologize to her.
Meanwhile, I don't really think any of them did anything wrong.
No.
I would say it's Rachel, you know, I mean, I'm not trying to pile on Rachel forever,
but the way that Rachel reacted, and you can tell by her face when she's watching a fact that she hates the way that she acted on all those things.
Or at least I would hope that it is, but she seems miserable watching it back.
I feel like Rachel should be the one apologizing for, like, pressuring them, honestly.
Like, not every single one of these people need to come out of this with an engagement.
That is not a requirement to be on this show.
There have been a million instances where people don't end up engaged or they care so much about their relationship that they want to see if it works in the real world first, like blah, blah, whatever.
Both of those guys apologizing to her at length, I thought was completely absurd.
There are so many bachelor's.
fans, purist fans, that would say, like, this show, why would you go on if you're not ready to propose at the end, all these things?
But the show needs to evolve with the times, because that's just not how it works anymore.
If you want there to be successful relationships coming out of this show, not all of them are going to end in engagements while they're on TV.
And so to have these guys who are clearly very much invested in these relationships get,
beaten up for this or have to apologize for this feels very antiquated now.
It just feels like it doesn't seem necessary.
And Rachel is so locked in on being engaged at the end of this.
That is what I think a lot of the viewers are frustrated with.
She is so, it doesn't even seem like she's listening to what these guys are saying, right?
Avin and Tino both met her family.
And Avin got caught in the situation where Rachel was under the impression that he was ready to be engaged.
And she's saying into his family.
And her family, and I think there's an element of her also being a little, perhaps, embarrassed with her family, too, of being, like, so confident.
And then Avin actually telling her friends, like, no, I really, I really am falling for her, but I'm just not quite totally there yet.
Yeah.
And so I think maybe she thought that was more embarrassing for her, and they were off the same, not on the same page.
I think you're on to something with that.
Yeah.
I think it's the embarrassment with her family.
She said to her friends.
being so adamant about like needing to be engaged.
Yeah.
She said I'm not coming out of this not engaged.
Yeah.
It's a wild thing to say.
When you have a guy in front of you, they had so many conversations.
When you have a guy in front of you who was like, I see a future with you, I want to be with you.
I want this to work.
I see us being engaged at some point.
I just want to make sure in the real world this works.
Yes.
It's not crazy.
I tweeted that Rachel's treating this like a game that she can't lose.
Like she can't go on the back.
Lorette and not get engaged.
She was like, I'm gonna get engaged,
I don't care who it is, it doesn't matter if they walk in right now,
if they have a ring, I'm ready to take that ring.
It was very clear because she's bawling her eyes out over Avin.
Yeah, bawling her eyes out over Avin.
But then it's like, oh, okay, all right, he's not ready to engage.
Tino, yeah, your parents don't like me, but who cares?
If you're ready to get engaged, I'll take the ring.
I am just, Rachel has completely lost me.
Yeah.
And I am, I think that her and Tino's the only one left now.
I think her and Tino end up engaged, but then I think they end up not engaged.
And I am no longer a Tino fan.
Nope.
I am out on Tino.
I think he's so fake.
He felt pretty flat during that time with Rachel's parents.
Yeah, what a just turn the sparkle right off.
Yeah, yeah, seriously.
I feel like it's going to be hard to decide who was wrong between Tino and Rachel.
Because it seems like from the commercials that something went wrong between Tino and
Rachel, I think it's going to be hard to decide who.
Doesn't it go?
I'm not moving for either of them at this point.
Well, because doesn't it kind of make sense now that these two did end up at the end?
Like, now it does make sense that they are the ones at the end.
They're both fake.
They're both fake.
Tino doesn't actually want to get engaged.
Rachel just wants to get engaged to whoever.
Tino wants fame.
Rachel wants a race.
I would like enough to update on the Tino's parents' social media activity.
Apparently.
Apparently,
Tina's dad is, he said,
part one finale,
yawn, can't wait for this to be over.
Apparently,
Tino's mom said,
this has been going so long.
It's like COVID, it won't go away.
I would kill my parents.
We're making COVID to Bachelor
Bachelorette jokes right now
from Tino's parents.
So clearly they want this all to end too.
If my parents started making those statuses like that
while watching, like say I go on the show
and they go on the show and they have that kind of stance
and they're those kind of parents and I log on Facebook
and my mom's making statuses like that I kill my mom
like I'll be like mom this is not the time
this is not the time I also like need to know
who is friends with both of them
that is just like I'm sending these
all to Bastro Nation scoop so they can be
reposted I thought when you were looking at it
I thought you were like checking his
checking his face no I know no it's just
been yeah been reposted so
that's I don't know they all everybody
seems to want it to end even they want it to end
and maybe they want to end
because they feel like their son is about to come across really bad.
Yeah, 100%.
I think.
They're just trying to, like, end this.
I think they threw the Gabby.
Well, the Gabby drama obviously happened,
but I think they threw that in because they're like, all right,
well, get this out of the way.
Yeah.
Eric proposes to Gabby.
They're good.
And then we have to deal with whatever nonsense.
Or even Eric doesn't propose, but they're still good.
They're good.
Gabby seems very happy.
From the vibe I got, Gabby was glowing, happy.
Rachel did not look happy.
We didn't look happy watching it.
The faces that she made at the end
when she was like
She was making those faces where you like
You kind of hint like
Yeah
This isn't gonna go great
Where Gabby's like I'm on dancing with the stars
And I'm in love
Right exactly
I think Gabby too has
It's interesting to see the compare
Like the comparison of how
The two of them are reacting to these guys
Maybe being hesitant to proposing
Rachel so
It's so like
She says
I saw even at the end of this,
in the conversation where he was profusely apologizing for,
I don't even know what, she, she was like, you know,
oh, you were perfect.
Like, he, there's nothing, she had nothing bad to say about him
because she, I think her tears showed that she did really like him,
but that one part of him not proposing was where she could not get over that.
But when you saw Gabby be in that situation with Eric,
where he was maybe showing some doubt of like,
I want to leave dating you,
but I want to be together.
She was more like,
well, I don't want to force anybody to do this.
Does it suck?
Yeah.
Like, am I emotional about it?
Yeah, because I would have liked to leave engaged.
Totally.
And I think she's had some doubts too,
but it did feel like it wasn't 100% a deal breaker.
And Gabby felt genuine because she goes,
well, I want to be with him forever,
so I want to get engaged.
Yeah.
Where Rachel's like, I just want to be engaged.
I'm not leaving.
Right.
I'm ready to be engaged.
She just keeps saying,
I'm ready to be engaged.
You're not saying I want to be moving forever.
Clearly you're not ready to be engaged.
But also, yes, like someone like Gabby in this experience where she is, she's conflicted
by the idea of Eric possibly proposing or possibly not.
Like, she's at least thinking about it.
Like, okay, is it worth, like, pursuing this further even if you don't get engaged?
Like, I feel like it's yes.
What am I just going to not talk to him anymore?
Like, whatever.
Like, she's having those rational thoughts that I think are important.
And she's also upset.
Like, there's 100% also upset.
Like, you can tell Gabby definitely wants.
She left room for...
She doesn't seem like she's going to send Eric home because of it.
Exactly. Whereas Rachel has her mind set and if you don't fall under the parameters, then you're out.
And that's... I think that, you know, again, we're piling on Rachel a lot, but I think that that is...
That is not the way to go into this experiment.
Like, you can't go in and be dead set on something and sacrifice what could be a good relationship
or what could be something that, you know, turns into a lovely marriage just because you have this idea stuck in your head that they're
must be in a game. I think she's going to look back on this and say, wow, I potentially
threw away a few very good relationships that had a lot of potential, all because they
weren't right in that moment ready to get engaged. And she went with the guy that probably is
going to propose and it looks like things don't end up well. But, you know, looking back on it,
And I guess that really also falls down into the way the show is advertised and planning all those things and the notions of like, you have to be engaged at the end of this.
It's at the end of the day, I do, like when I watch The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, you think like this show is about finding love.
And I feel like that should be emphasized more than you have to be engaged at the end of this.
If she and Avin were to end this and he went to that rose ceremony and she's like, I pick you and he said, I pick you too.
I want to be together.
Let's take this slow.
Everybody would be rooting for them.
Everybody would be excited.
Everybody would still be following their relationship.
It's not a deal breaker for fans to say, oh, my God, well, they didn't get engaged.
Yeah.
Or at least it shouldn't be anymore.
Another thing that, I know, like you said, we are piling on Rachel, but a lot happened where I thought she was wrong.
I agree.
And Avin was, you know, she was very animated in how she was talking to Ava.
And I think Avan was getting animated back.
I wouldn't call it yelling or screaming or anything.
I think he was getting all fired up as well
because she wasn't really listening to what he was saying.
And then she was like, why are you yelling at me?
And he was not yelling at all.
Like I would really love to know what would happen
if she was actually yelled at, not actually,
but you know what I mean.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because that was so in her head.
That was not yelling at somebody.
And it's like, okay, so you could be animated
and express your feelings,
but when Avan expresses his feelings,
in a more passionate way,
a passionate way of describe it,
then it's a problem.
Right, because it did seem like...
Yeah, it just felt like...
Why are you yelling at me?
Like, that's just a cop out
because you want to be the victim
and you want to feel like
he's doing something wrong to you.
Meanwhile, he was just expressing...
I think he was just really trying to get his point across.
He was just really trying to
honestly fight for their relationship
because I think he started to worry like,
oh no, this could be...
Now this could be like a...
a problem. So I don't know. Maybe Rachel will talk about this next week. When Tino comes out,
maybe she'll have different feelings about it. But I'd imagine you look back and think, you know,
maybe I shouldn't have had such a 100% focused mindset on being engaged and been a little more
open to leaving in a different capacity. So yeah, like the whole point is to find love. We'll see what
happens. Love doesn't always equal in engagement. Yeah, definitely, definitely. And nobody,
Rachel and Gabby's families,
I feel like both liked the guys
that were there and now we're in this situation
where, I mean, Grandpa John is just the cutest
cutest man. Oh, I wanted to bring up
I wanted to bring up
Gabby's conversation with her aunt. I thought that was
so beautiful. Oh, my God.
Yes. It was one of the best conversations we've had this entire season.
Her aunt was so insightful. Her aunt was so... I said I wish my family
members talked like that. It was so nice. I was just
Abby kind of talking about the issues she has with her mom.
And her aunt really encouraging her to talk about her feelings and her emotions with Eric so that he can be helpful to her and understand where she's coming from.
And she just said it all so well.
And it really felt like they were having such a real conversation compared to some of the other conversations we've seen.
And that I felt like honestly was maybe the best part of the whole episode.
So I don't really think there's too much to get into besides like let's talk about it.
guys let's talk about it let's read some questions yeah um rea's going to dig into the
youtube chat do we think we'll ever get the true tea about what went down in the fantasy
oh between zach oh my god they they keep emphasizing that they are different people yes
what did they talk about i'll be honest i really do think i i'm kind of buying what they're selling
from the way rachel has the way it's gone down with rachel and the other guys now i really do
feel like they may have
gotten behind closed doors and Zach
was like, this is different.
Yeah, yeah. It's not the same.
Or it goes to show that
she was really
trying to maybe just get Zach to leave on his own.
Yeah. Yeah, we have to think about that.
Like, she might have just been, she might have just been, she might have just been
saying shit to say. Because it seems like from what Zach said, it just
seemed they were really disconnected and I think
that was probably because they both realized
or he realized, she realized that it was not going to be him at the end.
and then it just got awkward because she didn't break up with him.
Yes, completely.
I think she could have broken up with him in that moment and she didn't.
It's weird that she didn't.
I still think it's weird that she didn't.
Clearly, she wanted to push him out.
She doesn't want to look bad by sending somebody home.
Right, like by the lack of emotion of him leaving,
I think it was pretty clear that she was fine with him going.
Yeah.
So we think that Rachel and Avin get back together
or at least see where things happen if things don't work out between her and Tino.
I don't think so, just based on.
I'd be surprised.
Not for Avin.
I think Rachel would get back with Avin in two seconds.
I don't think that Avin would get back with Rachel.
Avin prop, I mean, I don't know where they are with casting The Bachelor if they have somebody already.
I think they're supposed to start filming really soon.
From what I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if Avin is now pretty high on that list.
I agree.
That could be a possibility.
I'd be cool with that.
Yeah, I like Avin's cute.
It seems really nice.
Seems very mature.
I'd like to learn more about Avens because I feel like we haven't gotten much.
Yes.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
What do you guys think Tino did to make Rachel so upset?
I don't know, but he was holding that book.
Okay, so somebody said...
He was holding that notebook.
What's in the notebook, Teno?
What's in the diary, Tito?
Did you see in the promo T, this is what I was laughing at.
Oh, yeah.
She in the promo Tino is holding a diary.
Do you think he read Rachel's diary and is upset regarding her experience on a bachelor's?
That would be...
Wow.
I kind of...
That is...
That's actually not a bad...
That's not a bad guess.
Or vice versa.
Or vice versa.
I actually.
actually laughed. That's why. Tino kept a diary and Rachel read Tino's diary. Oh my god. I laughed because I thought that was so absurd. No, I feel like I was possible. I think that's kind of possible here. So here's, you know, I bet you Tino was writing down his feelings because they always are the contestants are always writing down. They always say they give them an book at the beginning. They're like write yourself. That's why I always have those notes. They write those poems. Maybe she read he. He's just like I want to get to the end. But why would you know. No, no, he wouldn't write it down. No, I actually think that's not. I don't think that's what happened at all. That would be. That would be. That would be. I would be. He's just like. I would be. I would be.
If that did happen, I kind of know.
Now I really hope that is what happened.
That would make Rachel look so crazy.
More dramatic.
Reading his notebook, like, behind his back.
Like, not even his phone.
His diary.
Yeah, that was, like, that's crazy.
That would be so 2000s.
It would make this finale more dramatic than what has been advertised.
Yes, it would.
Somebody asked, is this the most poorly a bachelorette has been received,
and no, it's Claire Crawley.
No, Claire Crawley is by far.
Yeah.
Leagues and miles.
Yeah. No, Katie was...
No, no, people...
People still liked her at the beginning in that show.
And during the season, it was never...
I didn't.
Yeah.
It was never...
It was always hating it.
It was never the season.
I turned down her.
Nobody ever liked Claire,
not even from the first second she was on TV.
Like, I just kind of feel like this whole season has been...
I feel so mean for laughing the way I'm laughing right now.
I'm sorry.
I feel like this whole season has been more poorly received, honestly.
Yeah.
You know, I don't know what they've been doing.
Amanda Seifred said the opposite.
Amanda Seifred said that she thinks this should be the format.
going forward forever.
What? Interesting.
Is she a so in?
Is she a bachelor?
She is.
No, no, she is.
She is so in on the two bachelors.
She said that this is how she wants it going forward.
How?
I have to hear her side of things.
That is crazy.
I don't want this at all ever again.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I do think that we are, we have to do a double bachelor.
I know.
It's only fair.
It's only fair.
Yeah.
Did you notice how they strategically stopped the picture and picture at various
moments. Yes, I did. Yes. Of course. I think there are moments
when Rachel and Gabby are talking to each other or whispering to each other
where they cut away or they have it on them.
It's very strategic. Totally. There was, Gabby was funny and a couple of times you could see her
be like, God, I hate watching myself back. It's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which I would hate that.
Like I said, we were shitting all over Rachel, but her face.
Not only do you have to watch yourself back, but your face is being filmed watching it back on live
TV. So stressful. Like that would, that would
make me so upset and so I commend
them for controlling their faces as much as they did
because I could, especially knowing like
what's to come. Oh my God, no way. And I think that
Gabby looked happy
in her in her picture. For sure, for sure.
Yeah. Okay, that's more.
Yeah. Although somebody has
repeat, honestly, I was just about to be rude
for no reality. Somebody
keeps copy facing their
one question and it's such a
simple question but because they keep doing that
it's making me not when I ask it.
And I apologize. I'm going to ask it. I'm
going to be, I'm so sorry
that I was doing that. I really am.
I must be sorry, that's annoying. No, I know, but
you're not annoying. You're not annoying.
You want your question answered and I would do
the same exact thing in a YouTube chat or
someone else's if I wanted my question answered.
So I apologize that I was not reading it
because of that fact, but I will read it now.
They don't want to get lost on the sauce.
Two people are doing it. I'll read both.
Do you think Rachel and Tina, we're still
together when we interviewed them? She seemed genuinely
happy at that point. Yes. Yes. I do.
I'm sorry.
Emily, about not reading your question.
Yes, I definitely do.
I think that that footage that we're seeing from this house is like three weeks to a month old.
Yeah.
If not, yeah, I would say three weeks.
It would be my estimate.
And now to Kayla's repeated question.
On a scale of one to ten, how mad are you next week's finale's on Fran's birthday?
I remember this because it's mine is well and I'm pissed.
Well, Fran is a 10 out of 10 mad.
because it affects me the most.
Yes.
I guess we can say it.
People might be disappointed,
but this is the way we have to do it.
We are going to be on Zoom for the finale.
It is three hours,
but we really want Kelly and Trent to be there.
Kelly and Trent are not going to be in New York.
Trent's been gone for fucking two weeks.
He's missed all the ending.
So we want Trent to be there for the end.
And the only way we can do that to fit four of us
is if we're all remote.
so we'll all be watching this three-hour finale individually.
Can I talk about my sacrifice for this?
Yeah, yeah.
Because we didn't know that it was on enough.
We didn't know it was not going to be on a Tuesday.
It was supposed to be.
So my oldest friend gets married next week.
It's in Mexico.
So I've been talking about this fucking wedding for a year now.
Yeah.
I specifically said, I'm missing like the first three days, four days of this biggest
extravaganza she's doing because the bachelor finale was supposed to be on Monday of next week.
They changed the schedule, like last week, two weeks ago, whatever the fuck it was, to Tuesday.
And my flight is Tuesday morning.
And so now I'm going to be on Zoom, but I'll be in Mexico missing the welcome party.
So, like, that's a whole other thing.
But that's what I do for, that's what we do for The Bachelor.
You know what I mean?
You make sacrifices.
Kelly's going to understand.
On Paradise.
Yeah, yeah.
I really am.
I'm getting a headstar on Paradise.
I'm going to be there before everybody else.
So, yeah.
But it's a, it's a whole thing.
I hate when they change the schedules like this.
Like we're always trying to hound them information.
It's next week, Tuesday, September.
Oh, no, today is Tuesday, September 13th.
Yeah.
Today could have been the finale.
Today could have been the finale.
They could have been easy.
It could have been.
The last four weeks.
The last four weeks could have been consolidated to give us a three-hour finale tonight.
They dragged it out so much, ridiculous.
Somebody said I feel like spoiling the season for myself.
So do I.
I really do too.
I'm not going to, but I'm fucking dying.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm dying to just look up what happens because...
But I feel like what happened with Rachel is so obvious.
Gabby's the only one that I don't have a question that I'm not sure.
Not as sure.
Like Rachel, I feel like it's so obvious Tino proposes and then they fight.
They wouldn't be at that house with a pool.
No, you're right.
When would they be at the house at the pool?
No.
No.
I just feel like that's, in my opinion, incredibly obvious.
If I've been bamboozled, I've been bamboozled.
But I do feel like he proposes and that's...
They also, I'll say the clippings, they made it look like.
like she is left at the altar as well.
Right, or maybe he, like, says he's going to propose
and then chickens out, and then she's like,
I want to know why you did what you did.
No, it has to be more dramatic than that.
I hope so.
I won't settle for anything less.
If it's just that he, like, chickened out of proposing
or, like, backed out of proposing that is not that exciting,
but I feel like it's probably somewhere in that realm.
I think he proposes and then...
He does something bad.
Or he doesn't really do anything that bad,
but Rachel thinks it's really bad.
Either way, in Rachel's mind, Tino did something wrong in my opinion.
Okay, fair.
Let's cut some stems and handed some roses to end the show.
I don't really know where we're going to start here as far as positives go.
But Kelly, go ahead.
All right. I want to take it.
I'll start with a positive because I wanted to steal it.
Yeah.
Gabby Zahn.
Is it going to be Gabby's aunt?
Gabby's Ann.
I give my rose to Gabby's aunt.
Fine, fine, fine.
What a sweet.
What a sweet.
I wanted it. I wanted the good rose.
And it's the only good thing.
She was lovely. What a conversationalist.
What a way with words. Like, just loved her.
So sweet how she was there for Gabby.
Love her.
I'm going to cut the stem of, you know what?
I'm going to cut the stem of Tino's parents' Facebook.
Because it's just rude. It's annoying.
Like, we get it.
Your son is not going to look good on the fucking thing.
I mean, it's funny, obviously.
It's not going to look good. So you want to get ahead of it, control the narrative,
talk shit, whatever.
But like, stop.
Stop. It's annoying.
I hate when parents get there.
It's very barb-like.
Are you barb now?
Like, that's how I feel.
Yeah, fair.
Yeah, yeah.
I do.
I enjoy it.
I was going to try and pull up the whole thing again
because it was...
Honestly, I wish you would.
I wish you would read it out loud.
He said,
Bachelor Nation will be...
This is, you know...
Still golfing.
Bouchonation will be sorry
when they won't have me to kick around.
He wrote some other stuff.
And then he said,
um,
watch the Boucher at Tonight 8 for the Yon,
most shocking finale ever.
Just part one.
So glad it's almost over
with...
three exclamation points.
Unbelievable.
I love it.
I actually love it.
No, it's awful,
but I love it.
It's ridiculous.
If my parents were doing it,
I would be so mad.
It's hilarious.
I'm still cutting their stem
because they can just
fucking relax.
They can relax.
Yeah.
Your parents would be like
on Instagram live.
They would 100% more.
I'd say your parents would be way worse
than that.
Like they would literally be like live watching.
It would be good.
It would like,
it'd be good because they have your back
no matter well,
which is on our side.
My parents would be worse
worse than Barb.
Yes.
But not in a real life way.
They don't care in real life.
They're putting on stuff.
They just.
They want to put on a show.
Everybody loves the showman.
They're showmen.
They are.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Go ahead, Re.
Can I do two for both?
Or is that not allowed?
Sure.
Because I have like...
Hey, there are no rules here.
I have personal life ones and then show ones.
I'd like to give a rose to Kelly's hair.
Oh, good one.
Thank you.
I'm a suck up.
Thank you for that.
I don't want to be in Kelly Kiggs's evil.
witchcraft tonight when she's wishing harm against the people who didn't like her hair.
Never.
And I'm going to cut Trent's...
I'm just going to cut his hair.
He deserves the cut.
He deserves the cut.
He's been missing many times.
I'm going to give my rose to Avin.
And I'm going to cut Avan's apology because I don't think he needed to apologize as many
times as he did.
But he made a lot of good points when he was actually talking to Rachel.
Yes.
Yes.
He does.
I will be...
Oh, boy.
I'm going to give my rose...
I'm going to give my rose...
I mean, I got to go generic.
I'm going to give my rose to Grandpa John.
He just...
He deserves a rose.
He deserves it.
He just wants Gabby to be happy.
I think, you know,
Gabby's family really just is rooting
so hard for her to have a good ending for this.
So I'm going to go...
I'm going to go with Grandpa John.
I'm going to cut the stem of...
I mean, we haven't done it.
I got to go Rachel.
You got to go Rachel.
Yeah.
I don't think we can end the episode without.
Good job.
Rachel dessert.
She earned that stem cut tonight.
She did.
I think she is very valid in a lot of her feelings
because she wants to be engaged.
I understand that.
She is absolutely fighting for what she wants here,
but I think she has limited herself so much
to what could have happened for her
in the show.
show because she felt the need to be engaged so much by the end of this.
And I just felt like in the conversation with Avin, there were so many times where she could
have been a little bit more understanding and responsive with him and she was not.
So that's my opinion on that.
I agree fully.
That was great.
Completely.
That was wonderful, everyone.
Thank you so much for tuning into cutting stems.
We will be back again at 11 p.m. I think next week for after the three-hour part
two finale that hopefully, you know, Jesse Palmer said there's some interactive fan thing that's
going to change the game forever. I don't know what the hell that means, but we'll talk about it next week.
All right, everyone, we are here with a very special guest. We are joined by the lovely Ashley Tisale.
Thank you so much for joining the show, Ashley. Thank you. We are so excited to have you here.
We are big fans. Actually, we wanted to
you on our show for a long time. So this feels kind of like a we did it moment for this podcast. So that is
amazing. We're super excited to talk to you. How are you doing? I know you've had so much going on.
So many big things. Tell us about it. Yeah. I'm I'm doing good. You know, I'm obviously in a phase of life
where I have a lot going on and being a mom is just takes up all of my time as well. But, you know,
getting through it. I'm taking some moments to myself, which is I created a brand called
being Frenchy. And so it's like nice to have products to be able to do that. But, you know,
every day is a new day. There's sometimes where I have some anxiety. There's sometimes where I'm like,
I am not great at being like in this motherhood of life. Like, what am I doing? And I feel
guilty because I have worked more that week. But, but, you know, it's just a journey. It's a journey.
Yeah. You mentioned your brand. Tell us a little.
little bit about that because like you said, there's something to help with that. And I think there's
something for every sort of mood that goes along with your brand. Yes. Yeah. I created,
I created a blog called Frenchie about a couple of years ago. And I launched it because I really
wanted to connect with everybody on a personal level. I a lot of people know, but I suffer from
anxiety and depression. And I had gone through a big journey years prior that I was really stressed out. And I
thought something was wrong with me and I was meeting with all of these different practitioners.
And I really just gained a lot of knowledge from each person on nutrition and living a cleaner
lifestyle is important because that can trigger things in our body.
And so I really wanted to just create a platform where I could share all of this knowledge
and even share experts that I've worked with.
And so I really did to have any plans to do.
do products with it. I was really just like excited to connect with people. We were out at home.
It was during the pandemic. So it was just like what a what a great time to just be able to like
connect on a different level. And I think that like throughout that, you know, little journey of
life of creating that blog and really getting to know my community and what they were looking for.
And then also what was getting me through the pandemic was these rituals. And a lot of the
rituals were even just like small things like opening up a window and lighting a candle. And so I
started to see like, okay, fragrance changes my mood. And it can like make me go from like having a
really rough night to kind of feeling renewed. And so I started to like research more on on that.
And you know, just the fragrance and brain connection and the mood boosting benefits. And so that's where
that led me to being Frenchy, which is, you know, products that, um, that really just help you.
take a moment to yourself. You know, it's it's either something very easy like the hand serum that's
just like on the go. If you're in traffic and you just need like a little mood boost or like a full on
like ritual that you want to create for yourself. I just think it's so important for I think coming
out, I don't know how to explain this, but coming out of, you know, what we've been through.
I think there's just a lot of healing that has to be done. And like before the pandemic, I was
literally going nonstop. I was like doing one TV.
show to the next TV show to just like, I can't even imagine like being pregnant during that time of life
where I was just like on the go. And I know people that just in different areas of work that were
doing the same thing. It was like they're on a train and they just kept going. And so I think for me
coming from what we just been through, I realize that just it's important to just take moments to
yourself and to help you kind of like, especially with like the state of the world. Sometimes it's like
you really do need to focus and love yourself.
And that's how I truly feel like how we can love ourselves is just listening to our bodies, taking a moment.
And so I'm pretty proud of the line. I'm excited about it. And people have been like sharing it and
buying it. And it's been so amazing to see. Yeah. I love that. I think that you brought up such a good
point where even though everything that everyone has been through is so awful and, you know, a lot of
horrible things have happened. But an upside to that is people have taken a time to.
reflect on themselves and what they want to do. People have changed career paths. People have
taken the time to figure out things that have been wrong with them health-wise. And so I think that's
actually a great point. And just to have something small, like you said, like just a little serum,
just like, I know what you mean. You smell something that's like, oh, my day has been brightened,
like, lab. And, you know, anything like that can just like restart your day. Yeah. I'm not like,
obviously trying to um the products are not going to change your life in any like acidy but they are
going to take you from feeling depleted to feeling renewed and that's what it does for me and so um
you know out of everything that i have done in my life this has so much more meaning and uh is very personal
to me on on so many levels because frenchy is based off of my married name french and so um i feel really
proud of what I'm doing with this line and this blog that I have because I just feel like,
you know, we are constantly talking about mental health and how we can feel good and feel better.
And did you ever think that these products would end up in Target? I feel like that is such a goal.
There's targets everywhere. Everyone loves Target. You go in there.
Nowadays, some of my favorite TikToks that I feel like are all over the place are the jokes of
you go into Target with your significant other or a group of friends and you're like,
we're going into Target for detergent.
Detergent, right?
And then they go into Target and then they leave like this giant card of stuff and they're like,
oh, we didn't get the detergent.
But because Target has so many amazing things and so now your line is in Target.
I know.
And to be honest, this has been a dream of mine for years.
years ago I had taken over a line I was CEO of I really loved what I was doing with this line.
I had a real purpose of why I was trying to continue it and do it on my own and get an investment.
And I just started talking about this a little bit more.
But it was a moment of just like red flags to not take over the line.
And I was just like, I've got to do this because I really did have this like reason of like wanting to make people feel good.
but it was a makeup line.
So I don't know how I was like thinking I was going to do that.
But it's it was like my dream was to have that line and target.
And I completely failed at that like line.
I could not do it by myself.
I was literally doing it by myself.
I was like doing a Netflix series and in hair and makeup.
I was like putting in discount codes into the Shopify.
Like I was struggling by myself.
And I was just like what am I doing?
It was like the most stressful time of my life.
And I really.
felt like I went through business school that year. And I learned a lot. And I had a moment where I was just
like on my balcony at my house and being like, I failed at something. And I have to come out and be like,
I can't do this any longer. I've got to shut this company down. And it was one of those moments where
you just are like, it sucked. It really sucked to feel that way. And I thought at that moment, I was never
going to, I kind of was just like, I, you know, I'm probably never going to have a line of target. And that's
okay. You know, like I obviously, I'm obsessed with Target like everybody else. But it's so interesting how
that journey is actually what led me to Frenchie because of all the stress and anxiety I was
going under and or going through and to create a line and then to have it be in target. It's just
something that I feel I need to share with people being like, it really doesn't matter like if
you have failures. It matters that you keep going and you get up.
because I could have just walked away.
I've been like, that was a dream that just will never happen.
And instead, I took what I did and I created something that's way more meaningful and
authentic to what I was going through.
But to see it in Target, like, to me, people have asked me like, you know, have you
been worried you're a celebrity brand and there's so many celebrity brands out there.
And there are.
And I totally understand that.
But this was just different because I didn't think about it.
about like, obviously I wanted to create something that people would use and buy.
Yeah.
But I think the fact that like I was going to be launching in Target was like, I was like,
oh my God.
Like this is the like this is the success for me.
Like that is something that shows my journey of like the journey of how I got here.
And I when I saw it in Target, I literally cried because that to me is like all that mattered.
Like I was like, I did it.
I did it.
It doesn't matter what it does.
But like I fucking excuse my language.
You can curse here.
Overtaken and the fact that people do love it and buy it is like just icing on top.
But yeah, like it I can't even explain how exciting.
Like it's already exciting to have something launch and target.
But to know like if you only knew that journey of like what I went through to get here,
it's like it means so much to me.
Yeah.
I also think that you are like a marketing genius.
because your TikToks will pop up on my page. And I have no idea that has anything to do with the brand. Like,
I'm just watching your TikTok. And then at the end, your products pop up. And I'm like, wow,
she's smart. Like she knows what she's doing on here because you're so captivated in you and just
videos that you're making. And then all of a sudden, you're like, wait a second, there's a product at
the end of this that I'm now also interested in. Well, I think it's just because it's literally in my
everyday life. You know, I use the products myself. I've been developing them for years.
And so it's like, I really, I really do need these rituals to get through.
So it's just like, I think it's just the most natural thing I've, I've ever really created product-wise.
And I'm so glad that you guys are seeing those.
Yeah, definitely.
Was incorporating, because you do a lot of like the high school musical sounds, which we obviously love and we grew up on high school musical.
Did that feel like something that was natural to you?
Did somebody say, hey, you should use these sounds because that will great.
grab people's attention? Like, where did that idea come from? No, you know, I think that I've been
playing, well, I love TikTok and I've been on TikTok forever. And so I was doing like sharp-paced
stuff during the pandemic just to, I'm always like thinking of others and like trying to help them
through their like life. Like that's why I do comedy. That's that's why I created this, you know,
this blog and this brand is to help people. And so I think in those moments where I felt like people,
were really scared and at home, I just wanted to entertain them. And so I was not a fan of kind of like,
I don't like to rely on that stuff for my social media. And so I just was popping in like little
things like that that I would do, you know, while we were all at home. And I saw people like love it and
stuff. And then I think just like recently, I had done some like TikTok challenge that I wanted to do
differently. I was like, it was like everybody was looking at like pictures of themselves when they were
younger, like posting pictures themselves and they're younger and being like, you know, I got to stop
being mean to myself because I'm mean mean to her. And all I could think about was each short page
just feels like another life. It's just like, I've got to stop being mean to myself because I'm being
mean to her. And so I was just, I don't know, I had created that idea and like people like went viral.
And I think I've struggled recently of like having this thing where I'm like stepping into my power.
But sometimes my anxiety can like draw me back and like kind of make me feel powerless.
And so there is that little bit of charpe that gives me that little kind of I don't know like.
And so I started to kind of play around with her stuff like I was doing a meeting in, in the offices for being French.
You know, I was like, you guys.
I was like, I've got a great idea.
It was all me. It truly is on me. And I think that's why people are liking it. I mean, I'm all, I literally do my social media. Like, I have a team of people for sure that help, but like I create all of the idea.
And it's very comforting. I'll say that. Great. I'm so glad.
No, it is. And I think you mentioned like when you said in the in the pandemic when you started doing that and you were like, you want to make people feel feel better. I think that's a great point. Because like I said, it's comforting. And during those times, like we were rewatching high school musical and.
We love is Zach and Cody and all those things to make us feel comforted.
And so I think that's great.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We just had, we just had Corbin Blue in here a few weeks ago.
I guess it was like a couple months ago now.
The summer really went by fast.
And, you know, he's kind of connected back with popping into the Disney Plus series and like doing all this stuff.
And it's so cool to see everyone stay connected in that world.
I feel like watching you on social media, you have always.
kind of stayed close with that cast, which is very impressive. It's been a long time.
What really, like, have you done to try and maintain a lot of those friendships?
You've been in the, in the, as they call it, for a very long time.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's so wild. Obviously, like, we are all in different places of life.
And, but the thing about what's so great about every single one of them is that,
you can text them and be like, hey, and like just, I haven't talked to in so long. Like, Lucas was just
texting me like a couple of weeks ago and we were just like chatting and it's like time hasn't
passed. It's so weird, but they really are all good people. And I think that we went through
something that was just a really wild, like, you know, it was, it was a wild time in our lives. And so
I think that, you know, we all kind of remind each.
other of that. And, but yeah, everybody's such a, I mean, yeah, you've met Corbyn, like a really
genuine, like, good person. And so, um, even if we haven't seen each other for a minute,
it's like, you can still just like text each other and be like, oh, how's it going? And
everyone is just like able to connect again. Yeah. How old were you when you first really started
in the business? Because obviously, Swil, I was Zach and Cody was before high school musical.
And I was reading, you were like three years old.
Yes, yeah.
Yeah, I was three when I started in commercials and modeling in New York City.
And then I was eight when I did Les Mazarab, like on tour.
And then I was around 10 years old when I started doing TV stuff in L.A.
And so, yeah, I started very young.
But I didn't get success until I was 18.
I was 18 when I did Sweet Life in Zach and God.
It looked like I was 14.
I'm going to say 18 is crazy because I would have guessed like 15.
I remember the Disney Channel present being like, you're the oldest on this channel.
Lovely.
But they were probably so happy.
They didn't have to like pay other people to be on set with you.
That's a whole other thing.
I also like love that I was able to have a kind of normal life.
Like I went to school.
I went to public school.
I worked in clothing stores when I was 16 years old.
Like I got to really experience life before.
a lot of my friends that I grew up with in this business, like have never had a real job or have
never, you know, like gone to school and done proms and stuff. And so it's like, I can't imagine
not having that experience. And so I was really fortunate. I remember hating it at the time.
Like, I was so mad that my parents were making me do that because I was like, I work on TV shows.
I still have to do homework and try to like, you know, I was going to school every day.
really hard and then I was like having to work at like clothing stores that were like just you know
scraping gum off the floor because my manager hated me I think and I was just like this
fucking sucks but you know what it makes you so grounded and like really appreciate when all
of this stuff happened I was like so grateful and then like you know there's like other things that
I could be doing and I just felt like I really was grateful that my parents had me go through that
and I learned so much.
Right.
It almost feels like there are, everybody has different chapters to, to their lives.
But like yours truly was like, all right, school, you were still doing everything, but then a whole new chapter started when you're 18.
Yes.
Yeah.
And I think that I do think that there's a difference when you are older and have success because, you know, it's like a lot of young kids that come from Disney and Nickelodeon.
it's tough, you know, like, can you imagine being super successful at the age of 15 and 14?
Like, it's really hard. And you're already going through your own stuff. Like, you know, you go through
your normal, like, who am I in the world and like, what am I doing and trying to navigate relationships.
So I feel like because I, I didn't, you know, gain success until after I'd gone through all of those things.
I was really like, okay, I was able to really separate the business from my personal life and know that it's a job.
And I'm at home, my, you know, myself.
So I was, I think, able to kind of navigate it a little bit better.
So even though you were developing new projects and working on your business and all these things, amazing things during the pandemic, was that really the first time you had stopped really like actually working outside of your home and your,
entire life almost. Literally, I had never had that much time off in my life. Yeah. Like my life since
three years old. I've always been working, you know, like I've never, I never did like a summer camp. I,
you know, I definitely went to regular school and had those experiences, but I was like auditioning after
school and working, you know, so it's like I, yeah, I've never had that much time off. So I really
didn't know like what I was going to go through but of course just who I am like I'm always creating
and and then I was creating a life at the same time.
Yeah.
So I really did though.
It was such a beautiful like time to get pregnant.
You know, like I can't imagine being pregnant with like even now.
Like it would be hard to just like navigate that and stuff.
But you know, that was a beautiful time to kind of be able to.
like be pregnant and and also, you know, be able to like see my daughter and work. I'm still
working from home, which is really, you know, different. And so I, I've really been able to
have those moments where I'm like, okay, like this is different, but I get to see my daughter
every day. And like, you know, she's growing constantly. So, so yeah, so they're definitely,
obviously we all went through some highs and lows, but it was kind of.
of a moment where I really got to just, you know, like, I guess sit back and, uh, and figure out,
like what I wanted to do next. I think that I went through a lot of changes like everybody else.
Um, it wasn't comfortable acting with people because I was really, I was really, really anxious about
everything and especially being pregnant. So, um, I, I wasn't like the most comfortable doing a movie or
TV show. But I, like I said, I think I created something that was like way more meaningful out of that.
That's what I was going to ask you because I do think there's a lot of young moms right now that
have been pregnant or given birth during the pandemic where now that things are getting back to
normal a little bit, the anxiety is very high because it's a totally different thing. You're not
pregnant out in the world. You're not doing all the same things that everybody was doing before.
So I know that a lot of other women have dealt with that too.
How have you kind of adjusted now to having a young child that you're like,
oh, I didn't go anywhere.
And now I got it.
We can go outside, but this is scary.
Yes.
Yeah.
I'm still like for me, I'm still like masking up.
And like I have had COVID, but, but I had like a really isolating time with it.
I was I was in my room for eight days away from my husband in the beginning.
baby and they did not have it. So I'm still very nervous and clearly have anxiety already. So of course,
I'm going to be anxious about it. But I am starting to like, you know, let go. The one thing I've never
wanted to do is put my anxiety on my daughter. So I've had her in her Sunday. Like she has a class with
all our friends and, um, and their babies. And they've been in it since they're four months old. And so it's like,
I always was checked myself being like, okay, it might make me anxious. But like, it's important for her to
socialize and be around other kids. And so, you know, I feel like now we're even, you know,
more kind of seeing other people and going out a little bit more. But, but yeah, it's a weird
time to raise, you know, a child. It's the stuff that we've, people have never had to think about
that were, you know, like there was definitely earlier when she was only a couple months old,
me just like clocking. If we're out to a restaurant, even outside, I was like clocking how
close somebody was to her and stuff like that that you normally would not have to think about.
And so it's been challenging, but it's also, like I said, I think that even when there's things
that are challenging, there's also positives. I try to look at the positive a lot more than
kind of like, you know, the anxious negatives because like I said, I would not have been able to,
my life before I wouldn't be able to like, I would never have been working at home. So it's kind of
cool to be able to have this with her and before she goes to school. Right. And now you're raising a
daughter, you're working from home, you have your own brand. Are you going to do any more acting?
Are you taking a break from that? What's the plan going forward? Yeah. So, of course, I developed
something else. I was like, I'm always developing a lot of stuff. You know, having a child,
people said this would happen, but I was like, I don't think so. And it's so true. It doesn't.
happen. You just, you, things just changed for you, you know, like you, you look at things differently.
I think before I was willing to just be like, yeah, I'll do that job. Yeah, I'll do that role.
Because I love to work. I'm a workaholic and I love it. But I think that like when I had her,
she really just inspired me and I really got more focused in what I wanted to do. And I was just like,
I've been wanting to do a TV series, a single camera comedy, like a really grounded series
for a long time, for years. But I would always just kind of like, okay, get distracted by
something else that I was going to do. And so I, you know, had the time to really be like,
okay, like, what does that look like? And what does that character? And so I actually did develop
something. I can't say much about it. But yes, I will definitely be going back and
acting soon. That's amazing. That sounds very exciting. Well, it sounds like you are constantly,
you know, developing, coming up with ideas and you have all, all these great shows, you know,
on your resume to prove it. What are you consuming? Like, what are you watching? Do you even
watch other stuff or is it just like how? Because I just feel like to be, sometimes people are so,
when you're in the acting and the development side, like you're so busy and you miss all the stuff
that's being made or you just consume everything.
We consume everything.
I consume a lot of TV.
I love, I, you know, the shows, like, I mean, Ted Lasso is like one of my favorite shows.
I've watched that, like, actually again.
I think it's so good.
I mean, Handmaid's Tale, obviously, when it's on, I love.
I watch everything, comedy to, like, dark, you know, dramas.
But I've recently have gone into a,
Magnolia Kitchen's or is it.
Magnolia Network. The Lost Kitchen is like I'm obsessed with it.
I have been watching that like every night.
I love a good like fixer upper type of show.
It's like a show called capturing home on it.
I'm like obsessed with watching that.
I love interior design.
So it's just like of course the Magnolia Network is like my favorite thing ever.
But I consumed so much TV.
I love Dave.
Dave, I've watched like multiple.
That's so good.
You're good.
Dave is hilarious.
Yeah, I just, I think that, you know, I, I definitely, it's one of my favorite things to do at night with my husband is like, okay, cool, we put the baby to sleep.
And like, now let's watch a show.
Do you watch any reality TV?
Yes, but Bravo.
We're Bravo fans.
We're Bravo fans.
Every real housewife.
It's honestly the reason why I even know about Bravo is because I used to have a production company.
I produced a lot of reality stuff.
And my first show to ever get picked up was by the network Bravo.
And this was like, I would say 10 years ago.
And so I was like, I go check out this network.
Like I'm going to have a show on it.
And I got sucked into and I have not stopped since.
And my husband's like, I still can't believe.
It's just like every single one.
I love it.
What's your, what's your favorite one?
Oh my gosh.
I mean, it changes.
It's like obviously when it's like in season and on.
like this is my favorite one, but it's like, you know, every single one of them. I mean, I love so many
different characters. I mean, like, I looked at them as characters, but like, gosh, I don't know.
Like, all of them are just so wild. They're so wild. I felt like it was so funny. Me and my mom
friends went on a little kind of like weekend retreat. Not even. It was really actually a night away.
And I was like, this feels like a real housewife. It's like all the moms leaving. Yeah. The ultimate
The ultimate girls trip, like they did on a peacock.
Yeah, I'm sitting out in my girl housewives dreams.
That is so funny.
I love her housewives.
I mean, yeah, we, I've watched everything as well, too.
And I do think, you know, we were joking because we have been so locked into the, this is kind of a change.
But the Elvis movie, we were so invested in.
And when Austin Butler got cast, we were like, oh, my God, Sharpace, fabulous adventure.
Like, this is crazy.
And we can.
telling everyone we were like we were on the Austin Butler train before everybody else was.
Everybody's like, oh, he's Elvis, but like...
I'm on the Austin Butler train since he was like 15 or 14 years old. So I totally get it.
I always tell him, like, I found you. I was like, I started your career.
You're like, totally. No, we believe that. You were just the Lean in and Bazlarman movie.
You're welcome. Yes, for real. No, I'm so like, I was obviously so excited for him. I mean, he was so
good. The Fox movie that we did and we became best friends back then and have been in each other's
lives and like he is literally like one of my best friends and such a good guy. And I, I couldn't be
happier for someone because he really, what I loved about him and his journey is that he really set
out to like, you know, he wanted to do other things. And he kept on getting offers to do things that
he had been doing and he was like, no, like I really, he's just has always worked so hard on
his craft. And, um, so this was just like, like, you could just see that he was, he like spent so
much time saying no to certain work. And you're like, oh, I just hope it happens for him, like,
that he gets to where he wants to go. And so seeing him do all of these things and like really thriving
is just awesome and, uh, he's so talented. Yeah. I mean, he literally became Elvis. He really,
He really did. He really did. I know. Like, yeah, his voice changed. And I was like, you know, like, it's, it's just, I think when you're, it's, that's for, for an actor, that is a really hard thing to do. Like, imagine taking your, your job is to take on someone who everybody has loved and known. And you're like, you don't want to come off fake and not like, you want to really dive into that. And so it's like, to me, I respect anybody who.
however, however they have to get there, it's like, you know, do it.
But also he was, you know, he was playing that character because it got shut down and
everything because of COVID.
He was there for two years.
So imagine working on your voice for two years to sound like Elvis.
Like it's going to be hard to kind of come out of it for sure.
But, but yeah, I mean, actors that really dive into that stuff.
It's a whole other thing.
Yeah.
Yeah, he was phenomenal.
He really was amazing in the movie.
So it's, I love that you guys are still connected.
That's so great.
But we have to wrap up here.
I want to ask you, though, you have all these amazing products for, like, the listeners of our show, I'd say, you know, young girls.
What are your favorites that you think anybody could kind of get into your line?
What you're walking into Target?
What's like the two things everyone needs to have?
I mean, I love the hair body and linen mist.
It's so good.

But the renewing body wash, I use every single morning.
It's the easiest way to get a mood boost.
It's the quickest way in the shower.
But I also love our milky bath bombs.
That's like obviously one of my favorite.
These things sounds amazing.
The hand serum is good with the milky body lotion is amazing as well.
I mean, I think you just have to like go in there.
The discovery set is actually all of the mood.
So you can like test out each scent.
And I would do that.
And then obviously like whatever you're drawn to.
Like every single thing I love, it's my favorite.
but like everyone always says like what's your favorite mood i'm like it really depends on what i want to
