Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.
You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music.
This is...
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday.
This podcast is presented you by Francia Wines, our favorite wine to drink.
It was our favorite wine to drink all summer long and continuing into the fall.
You know it because we talk about it every single podcast.
And if you're new, welcome to the show.
We're talking about Francia wines.
They have all different types of wines,
Pinot Grigio, a chillable red, whatever it is that you like.
It comes six and a half bottles in each box,
or you can get a cute little juice box like Fran likes.
Exactly.
They have every type of wine you could ever dream of,
every variety.
Whatever you love they have.
Now, like Rea said, we're getting into the chillier weather.
You can sit outside, maybe with a nice bonfire
or inside with a nice fire.
place once you get that going and you just fill up your glass with a nice red and it's the perfect way
to finish your night so you should be doing that with Francia. Francesca Mariano,
happy birthday to you. My sweet partner in life, my wife, my sister, basically anything we can label
our relationship. That is what it is. Happy birthday to you. How are you doing on this lovely
Sunday evening. Thank you. Thank you very much. It was a really nice weekend, extremely low-key compared
to birthdays past. You know I kind of like to blow out for my birthday, and unfortunately that
can't happen this year. But I'm with my parents, my boyfriend, my grandmother, my dogs. So that's
really nice. I haven't really spent my actual birthday with my parents in a long time. It's been a beautiful
weekend. It's the fall weather.
Took the dogs for a nice little hike outside.
We're taking walks. We're just having yummy food, good dinners, good drinks.
So it's really, it's really very nice. It's been a lovely weekend on the personal front.
That sounds beautiful, Francesca. I was hoping that you were going to have a lovely birthday.
Yes, you do ball out for your birthday every year. Usually it's spent with many of friends,
but you got to spend it with your parents this year, which at 26 years old, I feel like people
don't usually, or you know, you have a cake and you see your parents, but on your actual birthday,
you're doing something with your friends usually. So it's nice that you got to spend the
birthday with them. I'm upset because I got you a birthday gift and I was really excited for you
to get it, but it is delayed in shipping because it's coming from Russia. And I'm really
excited for when you get it. I wish you had it right now.
I asked a friend of yours to make sure that they, you know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was like, do I do this? Do I get this?
No, don't tell me. Oh, oh.
No, I won't.
No, no, no, I'm not going to do that.
That would just spoil the whole surprise.
But then I asked a friend of yours and she was like, yes, she'll absolutely love that.
So, you know what?
I'm sad you don't have it today, but when it comes, it's great because it extends
your birthday a little bit.
Exactly.
I do like that.
I do like that because it's also nice.
I do get a little bit of a longer celebration.
We do joint stuff.
You know,
my birthday is Sunday.
My boyfriend's birthday is the 25th.
So in between we always do a lot of joint stuff and parents and friends.
So I'm excited.
It's been really nice.
The only downer to the weekend,
which you know I told you is obviously we lost Ruth Bader Ginsburg this weekend,
which really like,
was a gut punch.
That woman is so iconic.
She's done so much for women.
You don't even really realize
like I,
if you don't know a lot about her,
watch the movie,
read one of her biography,
something like that.
I know I'm going to,
because this is what always happens, right?
You don't really see these things
until the person passes,
which is so sad.
Yeah, but just seeing people talk about her
and kind of reminding everyone
the things she's done for women
that you don't even realize, like, you know, having to sign a mortgage on your own as a woman. And all
these, all these things you don't even realize happened not that long ago. And so much because of her,
crazy. It is insane. And I'd also like to point out that thankfully, she lived an amazing long life.
She was 87 years old. And honestly, that is a blessing in itself to be able to live that long.
So unfortunately, she passed. But we could celebrate her life. And like you said,
reading biographies, reading all the quotes, reading all the things she did. That was the one thing
that stood out to me was reading that you wouldn't be able to have a sign a mortgage, like,
without a man. And I just, it's things that you don't realize because it's 2020 and things have
progressed so much, even though there's a long way to go. You're like, oh my God, you weren't even
allowed to do half the shit as a woman without this amazing woman. So yes, very sad news. But good news is
your birthday. We got to flip it around somehow.
Exactly. I know. I know. We're celebrating another life, Francesca.
Exactly. And we are also doing something that she would love because we were two women with this show,
women supporting women. There you go. It's a good way to flip it around. Definitely. 100%.
I have, I would say that I think just from thinking about it this weekend and the stuff that's
happening in my birthday, I have three things that I would like.
are listeners to do.
Three. That is my birthday wish. Okay.
One is everyone
subscribe to the chicks in the office, YouTube.
And the podcast. And the podcast. If you're not already,
maybe send it to a friend who you think would like it.
Two, you know, also maybe subscribe to the dime package. It's my new show. I would really like that.
And three, if you haven't registered to vote, you should do that.
Registered to vote. That's just something, you know, that is,
very important and you should be doing. And those are my three birthday wishes. And now we can get on
with our show. You know what, Fran? I love those three wishes. That's very progressive of you.
Thank you. Like, I don't know why you were like, I just selfish and I just felt like,
I knew you were going to say to vote. And I was like, okay, you know what, Fran, that's a nice thing to do.
Yeah, back on the chicks in the office thing, subscribe, rate review. I've been seeing a lot of
negative podcast reviews lately. And that's fine. If you don't like the show,
completely fine. But if you do like the show, then we'd love to see you guys supporting the show as
well. So either way, I want to motivate the listeners as well because I feel like everyone was kind
of in the same mood that I was in. Not everyone, but a lot of people were feeling really down
about themselves, just feeling down in general because sad things happening in the world all over,
just like, you know, everything is not the same. Like life is just so different ever since COVID
happen, just so many things. And I feel like I was feeling really, really down about myself. And I
talked about on the podcast, but then it got even worse. Like, I just was like in this major funk.
And then I was like, bitch, you got to turn this around. Like, if you look in the mirror and you
don't like the way you feel or look, go to the gym. Like, of course you don't feel good about yourself.
You sit on the couch all day, eat junk food. Like, you don't do anything to take care of your body.
Of course you feel bad about it. Yeah. So I started going to the gym.
every day for the past two weeks feeling great. Do I ever get my nails done? No, I'm not somebody who gets my
nails done. What did I do? I went and got my nails done. I got tips. I want the extra mile. I'm realizing
you got to do things for yourself to feel a little bit better about yourself. So if you feel like,
if you feel down about yourself, self-indulge a little bit. Do some things for yourself. You'll feel,
you'll feel better. You'll feel better. You're definitely right. It's so true. Like sometimes you just get stuck
in a rut and it's just like you're like there's so many things I could be doing to to help myself
why am I not doing them so sometimes yes sometimes you just need a little kick in the ass and that's
that's good and I was like on the point of literally having a major breakdown like I and I thought to
myself I was like I can't take a break like I can't you know I can't disappear and go on vacation
somewhere like that's not really possible right now what do I do until I took a
break without taking a break. Like I just did things that I wouldn't usually do feeling better. And I
motivate everybody to do the same. If you're feeling down, if you're just feeling like blah all the
time, spice it up. Just spice it up and you'll feel better. So positive Friday energy on this Monday.
And I don't know about you, Francesca, I can't wait till October. I just can't wait until October 1st.
Can I just say that like this is also one of the things that Twitter, sometimes Twitter just
makes me laugh and confuses me because you can tweet like the simplest things and it gets so many
retweets.
Like I saw you tweeted like I'm excited for October.
Like literally like that was it was like I'm really excited for October.
There was nothing else.
And I saw it and was like, this is a hundred and five.
50 retweets. And it's hard to get that many retweets. Yeah, I don't know. I think a lot of people are
excited for October. That's really excited for October. That's what I took away from it. Yeah, I guess so.
If you, I did this experiment once. I was like, I'm just going to tweet out, I love cheese,
because I love cheese. Right. Right. It's a thought that I have. How many other people are going
retweet in favor? I love cheese. That tweet popped off because people love cheese.
It was a no-brainer.
One more thing before we got into the show, another thing I realized is people did not know
our height difference or like, not even that we have a major height difference, but it's
this thing that people did not realize like I was short and you were tall or like shorter than
you.
And it's also like, I'm not that tall.
No.
If people really like I'm about five, six and Ria's what, you would say like five, three
generous generous of arm three i push it up to five three and a quarter because i like to sound cool but
i think it's i think i'm five three yes do you remember that video that we we did like three years ago
when we first started about you your height yes because i would try to say i'm five four i wrote that on my
license like i just not not five four no fran knows i'm not five four but i always wanted to be five four
i thought five four was a perfect height yeah i'm just not i'm five three so yeah and franz five six you're not
even that tall. Like you're just an average height. But I met your cousin. And the first thing he said to me
was, you're a lot smaller than I thought you were. And then I posted a picture for your birthday. And my aunt
said the same thing. Afterwards, my aunt was like, by the way, she's, she's just shorter than I
thought she was. Yeah. I posted a picture for your birthday. And people were like, what? Like,
I thought Rio was tall. Like, how? I didn't know she was this short. And I was just like, wow. I also.
Also, in your defense, like, you were, in those pictures, you were wearing heels, but the heels I was
wearing were definitely higher than the heels you were wearing. It made me go back and look at all these
pictures of us, because I was like, damn, am I, like, that much shorter than Fran? I don't think so.
And I, there was a noticeable height difference, but not that much. But people were really
pointed it out. I was like, oh, man, people don't know, like, we know us, obviously, but because
it's a podcast, you forget that people are in.
not seeing us.
There's some people...
Apparently, I guess you just have like tall girl energy,
which is a good thing, I think.
Thank you.
People also think I'm Fran and you're Rhea.
That's true.
So it just is like...
I'm Ria.
Hopefully that clears things up.
Imagine we get a bunch of tweets and messages tomorrow.
Like, oh my God, I had it confused this whole time.
Possibly.
All right.
I think it's time to get into the episode, Frances.
How do you feel it's your birthday?
You decide when we get into the topics.
I'm ready.
I'm ready.
Let's do it.
Okay.
Perfect.
Any more birthday thoughts before we get on with the show, though?
No.
Not really.
I would just, you know, it's 26.
I don't know.
I feel like it's, I don't know.
I don't know.
It's a weird birthday.
Like I said, I think everybody is having feelings with their birthdays during this time
because you're just not doing the things you were, you were,
normally do. Like, I'm not in Manhattan. I'm not kind of, I'm not going out, like,
not doing the things I would normally be doing for my birthday. Like I said before,
you know me. I love like a billion birthday dinners. And, and that just, uh,
hasn't really been a thing. But it's very peaceful, which is very nice, which, so I can't
complain. Are you going to have a good dinner tonight? Oh, yeah. Big time. Oh, oh, oh,
we should say before we get into the topics, um, the Emmys were on last,
night. We're recording this before the Emmys.
We're, you know, it's my birthday, and we're not going to record late. And to be honest,
I'm not very excited for the Emmys. They're virtual. I feel like it's going to be incredibly cheesy.
I'm not sure how the whole thing is going to work. And if there's some big moments,
if there's some exciting winners that takes us, you know, if we're surprised or shows that we really
love, then we'll talk about it on Thursday. But if not, you know, the Emmys, they happened.
That was the greatest sum up that we can ask for.
Like I said, didn't watch them yet.
So can't say anything about it.
Routing for everybody in succession, though.
Right.
Routing for the people we like.
Exactly.
And there we go.
And that's it.
All right.
Let's get into the topics for today's show.
We got Justin Bieber's new song and music video with Chance the rapper called Holy.
Also, Chase Stokes and Madeline Klein had a new music video that they starred in for Kigo.
There was a table read for Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
that included a very flirty scene between Jennifer Anderson and Brad Pitt.
We'll talk all about it.
We also watched The This Is Paris documentary about Paris Hilton, so we're going to get into that.
Kaya Gerber and Jacob Ellery are now on vacation with Kaya's parents.
We have details all about that.
And Courtney Kardashian responds to somebody talking about her friendship with Addison Ray.
So let's get into it starting off with Justin Bieber.
Don't think that I'll be a saint.
I might go down to the river.
Because the way that the sky opens up when we touch you, it's making me save.
But the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, oh me, only, feel so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy.
Justin Bieber released a new song and music video with Chance the rapper called Holy.
and honestly, it exceeded expectations,
and we feel like Justin Bieber is on the right track.
I'm really excited, and I texted you,
and I think one of my first thoughts
after watching the video and hearing the song was,
shit, I should have bought tickets to MSG.
I know, who knows when concerts are going to happen,
but I think I talked about this on the show,
how, you know, we had tickets to go see him.
actually I believe that show would have been like next week I think it's this the show is supposed to be the 25th or 6 I think
so we were supposed to go see Justin Bieber at at MetLife that didn't happen that obviously got moved we all we got
refunded tickets went on sale for a new tour that was instead going to msg instead of MetLife and
we said it changes it just left a little bit we weren't that into it so I was like ah you know maybe I won't
try and get tickets to this. I hear Holy, I'm like, I couldn't believe it. I'm probably going to end up
buying tickets at some point. Maybe I'm jumping the gun a little bit, but I am loving the direction
this is going in because they've been hyping it up as he is, this is a new, another new Justin. Like,
they're tweeting it's another era, new Justin again. So I'm excited. I definitely like this song
way better than anything I liked on the Changes album. So that was a great start. I,
I feel like Justin and I's relationship is never going to be repaired.
So I feel like anything I say about him doesn't even matter.
You know, I watched the pop star music video 20 plus times.
I fucking loved that video so much.
I thought he just looked so sexy and beautiful.
I don't even want to go down the path because I just think he looks so good.
And then this video definitely made me tear up.
You were texting me.
You were crying at it.
I cried.
And I like it.
I like the music.
I like the song.
But I can't say that I'm going to jump the gun and buy a Justin Bieber ticket to his concert.
Okay.
I might be jumping the gun.
I said that.
I might be.
I don't feel like I could physically sit there and not think about how he DM me about
not liking his album being tired of time.
Like I just feel incredibly guilty about it.
Yeah.
I feel so guilty.
Like I just am like, oh, I'm such a fraud.
I'm sitting in this.
I'm sitting here even though I'd pay for the ticket.
But isn't that, yeah, isn't that like exactly where?
Justin would want you to be, you know?
In the crowd?
Yes.
Supporting him?
Yes.
Yeah, maybe.
I've thought about DMing him again multiple times, being like, let's make up.
Come on the show.
Why don't you come on the show, chicks in the office.
We'll treat you well.
We really like you.
We don't dislike you.
I was going through a phase.
And I tweeted some not nice thing.
I was going through a phase.
You were going through a phase.
You were going through a phase.
Listen, I woke up that morning.
I put on the album and I didn't like it.
I couldn't, I couldn't fake it.
I couldn't fake it, which is, which is very fair.
I'm not faking my like for these music videos in this song.
Definitely not.
The video, like you said, the video was fantastic.
I was happy that Haley was not in it.
We have joked on this show that we thought Haley Bieber was going to have to be in
every video he does for the rest of time because that's just the relationship that they have.
That was not the case.
It was a beautiful video.
And truly, if you don't cry at fake or not fake military family reunions, you have no soul.
Wilmer Valderrama entering that room and being reunited with his family despite this being a music video and it being fake immediately brings tears to my eyes.
And it wasn't even a real military reunion video.
But no matter what those make, you have to cry at those.
If you don't cry at those, something's wrong.
Oh, for sure.
I, do you ever just watch something and you tell yourself, don't cry right now, don't cry right now?
And then you just cry anyway, it just comes out, you have no stopping it.
That's where I found myself with this music video.
I was like, that is not real.
Wilmer, he's fine.
He's an actor.
He's not coming back for more.
Yeah, he's actually been doing all right.
No need to cry about it.
But yeah, it got to me.
And it looks like this new season is coming.
of Justin Bieber.
I'm excited for it, whatever it may be.
I'll always look forward to Justin Bieber
putting out new stuff.
Even if I didn't like the last thing he did,
I'm always going to listen to the next thing.
I'm never going to stop being a supporter and a fan.
So I'm looking forward to whatever Justin's putting out next.
Shea Stokes and Madeline Klein,
aka John B. and Sarah Cameron from Outer Banks,
starred in a new music video for Kuygo,
and they looked flawless.
And that's pretty much all we could say about it.
I mean, what else are we going to say about these two?
Absolutely flawless.
And I really want to concentrate on Maddie here because, yes, everybody loves John B and it's
John B this and John B that.
We're, you know, the mothers of that movement.
We understand that that is the cause.
Correct.
And he, you know, this is also pre-Johns,
be a haircut. He had his hair very long and he cut it again for the season.
Maddie looked so good in this video.
I almost wish she was just in it by herself.
I don't know that that wouldn't have the same heat,
the same chemistry. They're a couple, you know,
it was very sexy, but but she just
was the star. She was so great.
She shakes off her jacket. She has a little purple sequin top on.
She looked so good. I'm just, it was, it was beautiful. It really was. She looked absolutely stunning. She always does, but she was glowing this entire music video. I was getting teary-eyed watching this. This is what I'm talking about because I was just excited for Madeline and Chase. They looked so good. And like you said, emphasis on Maddie. Just looking absolutely stunning, amazing the entire time, the purple top. That's a purple top I'd want to wear now. I loved it. Amazing. And yeah, steamy.
music video because the two are dating in real life. And now when I'm watching stuff like this,
I'm just like, oh my God, they go home and they do the same thing. Like they're a couple.
They make out behind the scenes. So congrats to them. And that's almost one of the better kind
of music videos you can be in also a remake of an old song. It's disco. It's fun. You can really
dance and go off and have fun in it. And,
Kygo has
Keigo has
really figured out
the formula I think
he should just continue what he's doing
this is a sidetrack,
this is his music and his videos
he just continues to remake songs
that have been very popular in the past
we know he did Whitney Houston
now we got Donna Summers
he's he's done a bunch of other ones
obviously but each one has been
bigger than bigger than the next
I don't know if anything will be as good as higher love.
I think that was by far everybody's favorite.
But they are so exciting.
And he also now puts celebrity couples in the videos.
He did it with Gronk and Camille Kosig.
Now he's doing it with Chase and Maddie.
It's very smart.
And it's going to make people continue to watch his videos.
Now, Ria.
Francesca.
Tell me what you think about this because I think that the next song and maybe Joe is going to get mad at me for this.
So I'll give credit to Joe.
This was really his idea.
We were listening to the new song.
And he said that the next one that Kaigo should make is Lionel Richie all night long.
Wouldn't that be so good as the Kaigo remix?
It definitely would be.
I feel like I've heard...
Everybody sing.
Yeah, I feel like I've heard a remix of that before
and I feel like that's why it makes sense.
Yeah, I mean, the streak that he's going on,
it's going to be something good.
Yeah, he's on the right path.
Like I said, he found the formula.
It's just like plug and repeat.
Yeah, and get hot celebrity couples.
Yep.
Yeah, one, exactly.
I would love to see, I'm trying to think of...
I feel like he could get Christian and Olivia if Christian wasn't in season, so that probably won't work.
But Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Colbo probably would do it at some point.
Yeah.
Did you have another one?
Is that why you raised your hand?
Yeah, Ria and Hank from Barstlesport.
I would...
I would love, love to see Hank in a music video.
Like, I just, because I don't have to worry about you.
I know what you're doing.
you would go off, you would be like the Maddie in the video and, and no offense, like, to chase,
but it would be more like a situation. And you would just steal the show, but it would be,
I don't, and now I just want, like, I just want, if anybody here is listening, maybe you're,
you're up and coming artists. Or me and you, why can't we be in a new video? That's true. That's true.
It could be us. We could be a couple. It could be us. I would, I think I would, I think I would,
rather it be you and Hank.
Aw, but I feel like I would be more comfortable with you.
Yeah.
Like, I know that sounds bad because Hank is my boyfriend, but I just feel like, like, camera-wise,
obviously we have the camera chemistry.
We have this show called Chicks in the Office that we do.
So I feel like we'd be good together, whereas me and Hank, like, I don't know how to act
with him when I'm on camera, like, with him.
Right.
True.
That would also become very well.
It would be so great.
Selfishly, I would just want to laugh off to the side.
It would be good to make fun of for sure.
Definitely.
If you listen to the show, then you know how much we love Monster Energy Ultra.
And if you're new, then we're going to introduce you to the best energy drink Monster Energy Ultra.
It is zero sugar, low in calories, and tastes amazing.
My personal favorite is the ultraviolet.
It tastes like a purple pixie stick.
It tastes like candy.
And they have two new flavors, the ultra rosa and ultra fiesta.
The ultra rosa, it tastes like a pink starburst.
And the ultra fiesta is a smooth mango flavor.
You'll love all of them.
They also have many other flavors like the paradise, the sunrise.
Like I said, my favorite violet, the red, the blue.
You'll love it all.
Monster Energy Ultra is a great energy drink that tastes amazing. Like we said, zero sugar though.
So it's perfectly fine to drink while giving you that great taste like candy. So go drink your
Monster Energy Ultra. When you get it, tag us. We love seeing you guys drink it. And we're going
to continue drinking it all week long to give us that Friday energy at any point.
We got some much needed Jennifer Anderson and Brad Pitt FaceTime this past weekend.
we saw the table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, hosted by Dean Cook.
He got all these actors together to do a table read, and it was fantastic.
Not only did we get Jennifer Anderson and Brad Pitt interacting,
we also got Shia LaBuff doing great things on the screen,
so all around, highly recommend watching.
Absolutely, Noah, please include the clip, the sound of them giving their hellos to each other.
Hi, Anniston.
Hi, Pitt.
How you doing?
Good, honey. How are you doing?
I'm all right.
Just from the beginning, we knew it was going to be good.
And you know that they did this all on purpose, right?
And you also know that every other star that was involved was eating it up.
Like, Dane Cook knew putting this all together that this is what was going to happen
with what characters they were playing.
And they kept cutting to, you know, Jimmy Kimmel, who can't stop kind of laughing.
And Julia Roberts, who's smiling from ear to ear being like, look at these two exes interacting.
It's, it was beautiful. And you know what? They seem like they're at the point in their life
where they are friendly. It's all okay. They still see each other plenty of places. And it's very
enjoyable to watch. It really, it really is. And even Brad, who looked like he just got off
a deserted island, still looked amazing. I admire Jennifer Addison so much because
Because the fact that she watched this man walk away from her to be with Angelina Jolie, honestly,
despicable, even though I love Angelina Jolie or I used to love Angelina Jolie.
She hasn't really been around much.
But when I was younger, she was my favorite actress.
But this man left you for Angelina Jolie.
And yet you are so kind to him to the public.
You're so kind to him.
The way she called him, honey.
Right?
like you treat him so well you don't talk bad about him you're nice to his face just so classy from
Jennifer Aniston that I just admire her so much Brad Pitt also extremely hot he looked like uh that movie
the the beach bum with Matthew McConaughey that's what Brad Pitt looked like except Brad Pitt still
looks hot of course and the whole interaction between the two of them she's twirling her hair
and she's like honey says honey like she says and he calls her Aniston just the whole interaction
gave me butterflies that I was not expecting to have and also felt like I ran out of too quickly
because although we got that interaction and then we got them doing a scene together after,
which was a very spicy scene, the two of them, yeah, it left me wanting more. And you know what,
maybe that's the place they need to leave us at because if they one day get back together,
which won't ever happen, people will be way too much. They need to leave us in the sweet spot
where we get interactions and we could smile about them being friends.
Definitely.
And they, like I said before, they knew what they were doing.
They wanted to create a viral moment.
This was for charity.
They knew what was going to happen when they paired the characters together that they
were going to have Jennifer Anderson read this very steamy line out loud to Brad.
And on top of that, Brad was playing the role of Brad.
So she's using his real name.
The whole thing was incredible.
And I will say, I don't know if you saw this tweet, Ria,
but Lily Reinhart tweeted,
Unpopular Opopular Opinion.
Can we just leave Jennifer and Brad alone?
Stop analyzing their every move in facial expression
whenever they're involved in something together.
Let them live their lives in peace.
I'm sorry, but Lily Reinhart is getting on my last nerve.
Like, I try to be as nice as possible when we talk about celebrities because obviously we always want to see the human side because you can't forget that they are human people and I feel like that happens often. But I can't hide my feelings about Lily Reinhart anymore. I love her and I support her. Yeah, but every, she complains about she's a celebrity and everything.
She's a celebrity and it's like, listen, I understand some people that, listen, she's an actress and she loves acting and she does it for her passion and she doesn't.
really necessarily like the lifestyle that comes with it. But at the same time, you know, it is kind of
what you should expect when you become a famous actress. If it, you know, kind of comes along with it.
And I get some of the things she complains about. Of course I do. But it's all the time now. She's
never happy about anything publicly. It's like maybe if she was happy about things publicly,
we wouldn't always see the negative. But I feel like at this point, we only see negative vibes. And
Yes, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anderson, I'm sure they're tired of everyone saying the same thing.
But I also feel like part of them are like, we get it.
Like, you know, or else I don't think they would have done that table read because if they really wanted it to stop, they would have been like, no, we are not reading the part this specific scene together.
Like that's not going to happen.
So I feel like at this point, they just don't care.
Right.
They knew what was going to happen when they signed up for something like that.
And like I said before, it was for a good cause.
And they did it and it was great.
And of course, everybody freaked out.
But freaked out in a good way.
You know, there was no negative connotation to it.
It was no like, oh, look how they were treating each other.
It was like very respectable.
And everybody was just obsessing over how respectable these exes were to each other.
Even the actors on the screen, Morgan Freeman couldn't look away.
That was my favorite part.
He was smiling ear to ear watching them interact.
So it's not just us.
the actors too. Do you feel the same way about Lily that she is always finding something negative
to talk about? I agree with you. And I've said it before, we've, we've said it a bunch of times.
I really like her. I enjoy her. I think she's a great actress and a great person who has like a lot
of really great values. But she definitely like fame and celebrity is not for her. Clearly.
She really is, I think, against what happens when people are famous.
And that contrast is very, she does not like that.
And that's unfortunately just how celebrity works.
So I do, I agree with you on what you're saying for sure.
Yeah, exactly.
But either way, besides Lily's comments about it, I saw other people, even other famous people being like, I love this interaction.
And the overall table read was fantastic, just getting all those people in a room together,
or not in a room, on Zoom together, in their separate rooms together,
was fantastic to watch, half to mention Shia LeBuff going all in for his role,
just completely transforming.
He was, you know, it was funny watching the other actors' reactions to him
because they weren't taking it as seriously, but I think they appreciated how hard he was going.
I loved it because, you know, Shia LeBuff is playing the role of Spacoli.
He went all in.
You don't normally see, we've seen a lot of these kind of table read type things during quarantine.
And his dedication was fantastic.
It was also awesome because he's playing Spacoli in front of Sean Penn.
You know, of course it's all through Zoom, but Sean Penn was doing it as well.
He just wasn't playing Spicoli.
He was the original guy to play.
Spacoli. So Shia LaBuff took the lead. He's, you know, the smokes in the air. He looks wasted.
Like, he went, he went all out. And I really respect that for him. If they were to ever make an
actual remake of that movie, because, you know, Hollywood loves making remakes. Shia LaBuff
would be fantastic. You know, he probably was high as shit by 20 minutes in. Because he was just smoking a
joint puffed it away. I'm sure
it wasn't a fake. Why are you going to use a fake
joint? You don't have to. You're in your own
in the privacy of your own home.
Oh, I'm probably
I'm sure it's real. I should. I
shit living his dream
sitting in front of all these iconic people.
It's probably so huge for
Shia Lepoff. So the whole thing was amazing.
Honestly, great job by Dane
Cook. You know what?
Yeah. Props to Dane Cook.
Exactly. He got together a fantastic
group of people.
And we'll never be wrong.
If you haven't watched
already, I highly recommend watching
this is Paris, the Paris Hilton
documentary on YouTube. It was
a fantastic
look inside of her life,
behind the scenes of who Paris Hilton
the character is. She goes
into detail to show you that this was
a character that she made up.
You know, she is not this dumb blonde
that she portrays. She's actually very
smart. Her voice is not high-pitched.
It's quite deep, actually.
And she also goes into
detail about a lot of the
trauma she faced at one of the schools that she attended. And I cried a lot throughout this
documentary. It was really moving and really, really a great look into somebody's life that
you just would expect the total opposite. Yeah. If you have not watched this,
I highly recommend because it will shed an entirely different light on Paris Hilton and who
you think Paras Hilton is because she has created this empire for herself.
She's such an amazing businesswoman and she knows everything that she's doing, every move
she understands.
And it is also very interesting to see them talk about her kind of being the original,
the original influencer, you know, taking some of the first selfies when people weren't
taking selfies and being that original paparazzi girl that everybody obsessed over and how crazy
it was. And we all saw that side. We knew the partying and everything that was all in the public.
But what she was going through mentally, we never knew and she never opened up about until we saw her
talk about it in this video and see in this documentary and see her family find out about this.
Like her mom didn't even realize the trauma that she had went through at this school in Utah that she was at in her late teens and the abuse that she went through and how she overcame all of that.
And watching her sit with the other survivors from that school was incredible.
Like you said, it was a major, major tearjerker.
and seeing those other women say, like, you were so smart.
We knew who you were.
And when we saw you do like stupid shit in a simple life and things like that,
we had a feeling that it was all kind of fake, you know?
Because they were like, we were with you in class.
We know what you were doing and how smart you are and how well spoken you were.
Yeah.
Honestly, it was heartbreaking and inspiring to watch at the same time because I really think that
Parasulton is a good person. You know, whatever you may have thought about her before, you can tell that
she really wanted to help these women that she went to school with and reconnect with them.
And you can tell that she really admires her fans and loves her fans more than anything else in the world.
The way she sits back and she observes and she smiles at them and just really appreciates them is really nice to see from
somebody's that real relationship. Yeah, she has real relationships with these people. And like we said,
the people she went to school with that also faced the same trauma that she had, she wants to help out.
She's close with them. She's nice to them. She really just seems like an overall good person, a genius at that.
I mean, you can call it what you want, but I really think she's a genius in the way that she
transformed herself into this person into this entire brand. And it goes two ways. You know, she's a genius.
and it's amazing all the things she did.
And wow, she created this whole brand for herself
and all these businesses off this character.
But also in one way, it's sad that she felt she had to change herself
to become famous, to become known.
And they asked her, do you feel like you're responsible
for this influencer generation?
And she said that she feels like she's created a monster.
So in some ways, it hasn't made her happy.
And it's not great.
But in the ways that she's successful,
and has made tons of money and all these other things,
she can help people because of her audience and how famous she is,
it's good in those ways as well.
So I feel like we really saw every side of Paris Hilton
that you never usually would see.
And it really just, I've always loved Paris Hilton,
but I just feel like I respect her way, way more
in so many different ways after watching this.
And her family, I think it's a product of, you know, powerful people
who are very conservative and they feel like they need their their family has to live up to a certain image
and their kids need to live up to a certain image and the pressure that they apply and, you know,
if your kids acting out of control, which they saw at Paras Hilton, she went to these schools where,
you know, not great things were happening and she would come home and her parents would be like,
no, you know, you're partying too much. I felt bad for her because you can't choose the family
you grow up in, but obviously that played a major part. Her parents played a major role in her
childhood and her teens. Yeah, it was heartbreaking to watch her talk to her mom and kind of see her
mom's face when she had opened up about the things that were happening at the school because
Kathy Hilton was not, so it appears, was not aware to the extent of what was going on when she was
there. And she, she, it was also a really interesting look of what life is for a woman on top.
Like she is so, so successful. She's had so much success business-wise. And it's interesting to see
more of the personal side of that talking about broken engagements and new boyfriends and how the guys
that she dates, she can only date them for so long before they become too insecure and,
and uncomfortable with the status that she has and the power that she has as her own woman.
And watching that happen, like seeing her and her boyfriend fight like that at the, at the festival
and also seeing all the computers, the laptops that she was like filing away that she said
she gets a new laptop every time she gets a new boyfriend because she doesn't want them going into
her stuff and looking through her personal things and her kind of listing all the abusive
relationships she's been in in the past. It's heartbreaking. It's tough because she did kind of say,
you know, I think that a lot of the abuse that had happened at that school had trickled into
her personal life and some of the relationships that she was having. But
she is one strong woman that is for sure. And I also loved the way that it ended with,
you know, just kind of her being like, I can do this forever. Yeah, I had chills at the end of it. And also
something that stuck out to me was when she was talking to her sister and her sister was like,
are you going to ever stop? Like, you're ever going to go on vacation? And she said that she
won't stop until she makes a billion dollars. Like, I feel like most people would be like, wow,
that's super greedy, like, you know, a billion dollars are people out here that have nothing and you
you can't stop until you make a billion dollars. But I also feel like now it's just in her blood
and DNA that she has become so successful that you become addicted to that kind of success.
You become addicted to the money that you have acquired. And now she just doesn't want to stop.
I would recommend stopping. I don't feel like she has to go any further. But she's like,
I'm not stopping until I'm a billionaire, which is like, I find crazy.
Right. It's the only, it's the only life she knows. Right.
Like what she doesn't know how to stop. Exactly. Imagine being that obsessed with money and success,
but when you are given so much of it, I can see how that would, you know, you want more. Yeah,
definitely. And it was just really cool to see her open up like that. It really is because she,
talks, she's talking about this character that she's created. She really opened up the inside
look at Paris Hilton and gives everyone kind of a different perspective on her that
everyone will remember as she continues to be Paris Hilton. So I really enjoyed watching it,
how, you know, it was very tough at times listening to her talk about
the terrible thing she went through.
But I hope that making that was
therapeutic for her in some way.
Yeah, I hope so too.
I'm sure it was.
And I just want to say that I love her normal voice.
Like, I just love her normal voice.
And I get why she does the other one.
It's part of the character.
But I love normal Paracelton.

Another update on the traveling Jacob L.R.D. and Kaya Gerber.
Now they are on vacation with Kaya's parents.
So Cindy Crawford, Randy Gerber, they went for a little weekend getaway to Mexico,
which, you know, here we go.
This cracks me up because we talked about this a couple weeks ago.
It's like, oh, they're just friends, but her parents, they love him.
Okay, now they're all on vacation together.
Clearly, her parents approve.
And I'm sure they're having a fantastic time.
We got some paparazzi pictures of them in Mexico and, you know, what's there not to like?
Steamy Mexico vacation with Cindy and Randy.
Mm-hmm.
Obviously, they're having a good time.
They're dating.
100%.
You're not going on vacation to Cabo with your friends and her parents.
They're 100% dating.
There's pictures of her.
She's got her arms wrapped around him.
We've seen them showing more PDA recently.
So they are clearly in that direction where they are becoming more and more serious.
I feel like in Cindy's eyes, this is a step up.
from Pete Davidson, you know, Jacob Alardi and Pete Davidson are complete opposites. They are as opposite as it gets.
I like Pete Davidson, but Kyah Gerber, who I think has to maintain this image in Cindy's eyes, Jacob is a better fit.
Jacob is, I'm sure, the best fit in many people's eyes, so it's very understandable.
Am I crazy for saying that I would rather hook up with Pete Davidson than Jacob Allardee?
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
I'm sure there are people out there that agree with you.
But if you're talking purely hook up, purely hook up.
I don't want a relationship with Pete Davidson.
That's for sure.
I mean, purely hook up.
I'm not saying what you're saying.
I'll drink of water.
he is i've had a couple drinks today it is my birthday so you just called him a tall drink of water
like you were 50 years old but that's completely okay yep here's my thing
jacob ellardy yes very good looking very hot yeah i'm i'm not going to say it but i'm thinking
about saying it that i would rather hook up with pt davidson than jacob ellarty okay
I respectfully disagree with you.
I would go the other way.
That is, you know what?
It's good to disagree.
Yep.
I, there's something about like a,
I hate using the word swag,
but I think that's the word that I need to use.
I understand where you're coming from,
but I also think you're underestimating Jacob.
If that guy walks up to you with his accent,
what is he, he's from New Zealand, he's Australian,
he's one of those.
When he,
I just think like if he came up to you
and sweet talk to you and that accent that he has
and maybe he's Australian,
that's what I thought.
I think we would all crumble so quick.
Just immediately crumble.
For some reason,
have been holding back my true thoughts about Jacob Ellertie
in the way that I don't crave him as much as
other people. Crave is a weird word to use, but it is the word that came to my mind.
Yeah. And you know, they are both very tall. I did say, you know, the Jacobs of Tal,
drink of water, but Pete's not short either. So they're both very tall. I said her tall.
I wasn't going to say it, but I'm thinking about saying it. Yeah, yeah. Do that what you will.
A little update on the Corny Kardashian Addison Ray friendship, because
I know that it is the popular opinion to question whatever the heck is going on with that friendship.
That's definitely the popular opinion.
Now, she posted a picture of the two of them in a pool and some guy commented saying,
this friendship still weirds me the fuck out.
And someone else commented to him saying, for real, she's 41 and she's hanging around with 19-year-olds in swimming pools.
And Courtney commented back to him saying,
do you suggest a better place? I'm looking for ideas. And now everybody was kind of like
applauding Courtney. Oh, clap back, Courtney. It could have been a better clapback. But I,
it will continue to be weird. I'm sorry. It just will. I'm sorry. I don't find it as weird,
but I understand. I don't know. For some reason, like, I want to find it as weird as everybody does,
but I don't.
Like, yeah.
I agree with you that Courtney Kardashian's comment definitely could have been a lot more of a
clapback.
Like, I think that was pretty weak in terms of clapbacks I've seen on the internet.
Yeah.
For their friendship, it's weird when you think about the ages, yes.
When you think about how Addison Ray is 19 or 20 and Courtney Kardashian is 40 years old.
You can't compare it to real life because they're not real people.
That is why I think I'm finding it less weird is because I'm like,
Courtney Kardashian might as well be 20 years old.
Right.
And Addison Ray might as well be 40.
Yeah.
In Hollywood ears, I just feel like, I don't know.
I guess I'm, you're talking me into it because I do understand also.
And, you know, Courtney has notoriously hung out with like all of Kendall's friends for so long.
long and Kendall's not that much older than Addison Ray is, you know, it's, it's only a few years.
No, Kendall Jenner's like 24 or 25 years old.
Yeah.
And Kylie.
How old is Mason?
She's like, no, he's older than that, right?
No.
Really?
Because it's just weird that she's closer to his age than her age.
He's 10 years old.
Yeah, he's 10 years old.
Noah, that is a good point.
Noah.
But not even just like a little, like not even where it's kind of close.
it's like very close.
She's nine years older than Mason Dissick.
And Courtney is 20 years older.
Yeah.
But I think in Hollywood and Courtney might as well be 20 years old, like I said.
Now, will people find that weird and will people make comments because they're not 40 years old hanging out with a 20 year old?
Of course.
But they are also not living in the Hollywood Hills.
They're not living in Calabasas, California, with.
millions and millions of dollars and tons of fame. Yep. Yeah, I think it'd be way weirder if
Addison Ray was hanging out with like, I don't know, I guess I was going to name like Brad Pitt,
but then I'd be like, all right, Brad Pitt. Of course, he's hanging out with Addison Ray. Like,
I don't know. I just think in Hollywood, the age thing is kind of like, once you're over 18,
everyone's the same age. Apparently, Addison Ray's mother is,
is around 40.
Yeah, people wonder why Sherry, Addison's mom, doesn't hang out with Courtney.
But I think Courtney has more in common with Addison than she does with Addison's mom.
For sure.
It's weird because we don't live this life.
And people listening to this show don't live this life.
And the people looking on the outside do not live the life that they live.
But I think if we were in it, we'd understand it a bit more.
Yeah, you're definitely right.
And people are going to continue to think it's weird no matter what.
It's hard.
It's hard not to.
But when you put the Hollywood glasses on, it's just kind of like, yeah, you know, anything goes.
If Courtney Kardashian wanted to be your friend, would you decline?
No.
Exactly.
Yeah.
That's a question.
Everybody could ask themselves.
If Courtney Kardashian wanted to be your friend, are you saying no?
No? If you're saying, no, you're lying. You're just, you're a liar.
That's why I don't put any of this on Addison. It's to me, all Courtney. Like, it's like,
what is Courtney doing? Addison, totally understandable. You want to be in that circle. You want to be
included. You want to be in that loop. For Courtney, it's like, how hard are you holding on to your
youth care? That is a great point to bring up. Yes. It is totally more,
of a weird thing for Courtney because she's so holding on to her youth.
Yes.
What you know, you can't, whatever.
Can't blame her.
I just feel like that's, that's Hollywood too.
So, you know, they're going to continue to take sexy pictures together in pools,
and we're all going to have to deal with it.
All right, that wraps up.
Today's episode of Chicks in the Office.
We hope you have a fantastic week.
We'll talk to you guys on Thursday.
Get ready because three episodes is coming soon.
Not yet.
We'll announce it, but it's coming.
So get ready for that.
And one more big, happy birthday to our beautiful birthday girlfriend, Francesca, Mariano.
Have a wonderful evening.
We'll talk to you guys on Thursday.
