Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners, you can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. Happy Monday, everybody. Happy Monday. We're back in studio. Yes, we are.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Noah. How you doing? You missed our faces. Yeah. Yeah, you haven't seen us all week. I know. I feel like I feel like it doesn't matter if you're like I just still like I'm in contact with you constantly
Starting point is 00:00:36 so it doesn't feel like wherever it doesn't feel like you're right fine you really put him on the spot there I was like I was like I did something well we just haven't seen you in a week yeah yeah we're here we're here we're in studio there's a new table yeah it's gorgeous we have a new table
Starting point is 00:00:53 the old table broke multiple times I guess I don't know the table broke Well, it broke before Rob Lowe and we were worried you and Rob were going to sit on the floor. Yeah. Yeah, and then we had really, like, long, sassy debates on whether we needed an oval or a circle. The table debates went on for too long. Now it's a circle.
Starting point is 00:01:15 I like it. I like it, too. So Noah was correct. Before we had an oval. Now we have a circle. I think, I mean, I like it. I think, like, all of this space over here is, like, a lot. But when we have more people, it will make sense.
Starting point is 00:01:28 I mean, look at Red Table Talk. Like, it's proven to work in the past. What a reference point. Yeah, I said, I was, am I thinking of Jada Pickett's show? But the thing is, it's like, I wasn't necessarily like, I don't want an oval. It's just there's like a shortage of oval options. Yeah, yeah. There definitely wasn't as many viable options for ovals as there was circles.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Keep an eye at. We might have different Mike Stans this week guys. exciting things coming. Really big, exciting things. And if you think they look really ugly, you won't be the only one. Listen. No, I'm not even going to know.
Starting point is 00:02:10 We don't need to go to this. No, we'll talk about it when they come in here. How many, a lot of people want to know how many tickets you've sold, Noah. Oh, yeah. So I'm in better spirits. Okay, good. Thank God.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Thank God. I have sold. By the way, when I say sold, I gave them for what I paid. So I'm not making any money on these. I would never do that to fix me on. You're just making your money back. You're looking for a net zero here.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Although it isn't necessarily a net. I've sold 12 out of 15, which that's a lot. I mean. Great. Do you feel comfortable sharing the price? I don't know if I should. There are a lot of people really wanting to know. People really want to know.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Try to just say that it was in the five figure range. Low five figs. Yeah. Yeah. The lowest you could get a five figs. Yes. Not the lowest, yeah. I don't even want to, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Yeah. Lo-fi figs. Yeah, low-five figs. Even saying that, I feel like. No, it's absolutely astonishing. It's an astonishing. No, no, it was a size. It genuinely was shocking.
Starting point is 00:03:13 An astonishing number was thrown out. But look, you're, and pretty much back to, you have three, and more tickets to sell. I have three tickets left on May 8th, if you're wanting to go. Part of me was like, oh, I could probably, because now I'm looking at, because now I'm like, back to, kind of where I started where I'm like, wait, I want to go to these shows.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Yeah, right, right. Wait, I almost gave them all off. No, no, not that I could go to these. I do need to get rid of these May 8th tickets, but being like, oh, I'll give them to people for face value, but if not, maybe I could sell them on Ticketmaster and make some money and that can help pay. Because by the way, like,
Starting point is 00:03:50 he announced a whole other week too. By the way, these tickets, like I was saying, because I think before the general sale, it was like these are fucking insanely expensive. I mean, I had 15 of them, so it felt worse. But now looking at the resale, like, if you go on Stubhub or Tickam, like, it's out of control. Yeah, of course it is. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Like, I'm going to go. I'm going to go multiple times. I actually was because I didn't know that my... Because we are on a goddamn roller coaster ride. As of three days ago, he couldn't even put John Mayer on. He couldn't even listen to John Mayer's songs came up on his phone. He clicked next. No, after I sold a certain amount.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Back to multiple nights. Last night, I was driving back from the Cape by myself. It was like a hurricane. Listen to continuing front to back. I was back. I can't keep on. I want to say this about Noah. He did add a new week.
Starting point is 00:04:42 He did. There was 18 total shows. Yeah. I want to say that Noah is a very financially responsible man. So the fact that he did this is really just genuinely shocking on all fronts. That's why it was so astonishing to us. But I have said in the past. like tickets are the one place that I kind of usually like
Starting point is 00:05:01 I mean I try to be responsible like I'm not going to go insane like I did this time but I will spend like to what some people might think is absurd amounts to go see one show or to be like front row because I like you value those kinds of experiences yeah I keep fucking coughing no but like I'll talk about people because I'm a big watch guy too where like I like to look at watches and then come close but then no, I'm like, I'm not going to actually buy that. And then when I don't buy the watches, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:05:32 that's why I go to the shows because that's what I'm saving the money for. Everybody has their thing that they're passionate about and where they spend their money. But shout out to all the Chicksney Office fans, by the way, because, I mean, the amount of people that reached out and were very nice. I mean, also shout out to John Mayer because the demand is obviously there. And the crossover between Chisney Office and John Mayer is way bigger than I thought it was because my God, it seems like every listener of the show wants to go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:59 And were there some people who, when you told them what the face value price was, they were like, oh, never mind. Oh, there were a lot of people who were like, oh, but then there were also a lot of people who were like, I thought it would be way worse. There you go. But it was funny because it's like just DMing with people. Like there was one that was just the account had like no followers and it was like a picture of a dog. And they're like, by the way, like this is my finsta. Like, I'm not a dog. I'll actually pay
Starting point is 00:06:24 I'm not a dog I swear But it's also like Why send it from your friends to then Like if you need to prove That you're a real person And you want the tickets Like why can't you just use your real account?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yeah because you will need to know their name Yeah She's like my husband's name is this Oh you gotta be able to send Wow she still wanted to stay anonymous Yeah no Shout of Felicia because she was like Do I get a shout out on the pod?
Starting point is 00:06:47 I'm like I'll throw your shout out That's a good part like I'll buy the tickets But I do want to be mentioned by me And the cool thing is that I was thinking about is because I didn't, I would have like four or five in one row, but I didn't sell four or five at the same. So, like, they're going to be chicks in the office fans sitting next to each other who have never met now. Well, that's awesome. Wow.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Wow. Wow. That's so sweet. Yeah. Wait, that's really cool. Maybe we should go. No. We're not getting into this mess.
Starting point is 00:07:15 But you guys actually want to go. I would love to go. If I would love to go. If I would love to go. But I don't want to. We have to talk about this at a different. time. But you said that the net zero thing, I will say the only thing is that now
Starting point is 00:07:27 I'm going to make the next status of Delta medallion status because of all the money that I bought. So technically that's a silver lining. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here's the thing. I also would really want to go with Joe because he loves John Meyer as well. Not me? No, like a group event. A big group thing would be fun.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Yeah, that would be fun there. Yeah, speaking of DMs, I got such a funny message from a listener who was like, I listened to you and Rhea every episode. And so crazy, I just found out that our dads are friends. Wow. And they were and they saw each other at the London game. Because my dad and J.B. were in London for the Eagles game,
Starting point is 00:08:14 which a lot of people were. I knew so many people that went over there for this game. which was just miserable. My fucking God, if you guys could spare me two minutes. Go off. First of all, I was hungover. I woke up in 9.30 to watch this game.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I felt like shit my head was pounding. I'm like, Joe, I need to make a chicken cheese. A-sap. Yes. And, you know, I'm watching. It's just bad football. We think maybe there's a silver world. we're like, oh my God, coming out of this would be a miraculous win.
Starting point is 00:08:55 And then it ends the way it does. And you're like, you've got to be fucking kidding me. And now it's coaching my practice from top to bottom. These coaches need to get their heads out of their asses. I'm just going to read this real quick. The second half of the last three games of losing. The Eagles have lost the last three games? Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Oh, God. They're on a three game losing streak. happened? Yes, she saw. Hard not to see. I'm caught up with yesterday's events of football. Yeah, yeah. I have something I would like to talk about after the evening.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So the second half possessions of the last three games have been three and out, three and out, three and out, interception, turnover on downs. That's game first loss. Second loss. Three and out, three and out, turnover, turnover on downs. Three and out, turnover and downs. Third loss. Punt. Three and out. These are all pun.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Turnover and downs punt. Three and out, three and out, three and out. Field goal. That was last game. It's been so bad. The offense can do absolutely nothing in the second half, which to me is a coaching thing because it's like if you're playing half decent in the first half and then the team's going in half time, the other team's like, hey, here's all the things that they're doing
Starting point is 00:10:10 right. We're going to stop them. And then your team comes out. No adjustments. No change. They can't change a single thing. What? How much you put on jail in hers?
Starting point is 00:10:20 Not a lot. Not a lot. Because there are, like, I see a selection of Eagles fans. No, no, there's, you are really, well, you're either, there's been a schism. You're either like, you hate Siriani or you hate Hertz or you hate both of them. And you just think like they both are bad. I blame much less on Jalen than I do the rest. Jordan Milata is looking at the rest of his offensive line.
Starting point is 00:10:45 And he's like, who are these guys? There's no, no one's recognizable. It's an entirely new offensive line. last week we traded away our center who he was playing terribly unfortunately but that's just another they were like we're setting him off
Starting point is 00:10:59 and Lane Johnson who you know Hall of Famer lineman retired just like out of the blue not out of the blue but out of the blue made me emotional it was very sad and I'm very sad to see him going that way and but because of the timing of that it's like
Starting point is 00:11:16 it's a 53 man roster in football but because of him retiring when he did and salary cap implications and all these things, we now have to keep him on the active roster for the rest of the season. So it's like we're stuck with a 52-man team despite this man being retired. So it's like you can't fill that position. You can't add somebody. Because our fourth string running back was playing, which is where we're at a lot of injuries,
Starting point is 00:11:46 which is also why I don't fully look at jailing because it's like he's got. He's playing with not a lot of... The Patriots have people. A lot of injuries. Yeah, right now as well, which is not... It's not ideal. But Siriani, after watching this guy, they scored an opening kickoff return touchdown
Starting point is 00:12:06 the Jaguar State. It got called back because of penalties. But like, you know that guy is good. You know that guy can do it. And then when they kick right to him to end the game, and we're in the torture chamber because it's blame game now. It's like in press afterwards These guys are pissed You can see that they're starting
Starting point is 00:12:24 You're losing the locker room a little bit Like even Jake Elliott's like Yeah that was the plan Like it was like talk to coach Like even Talking to Jalen Hertz It was like they were asking about his You know lack of running
Starting point is 00:12:38 himself And he basically Another one that was like That's not my place to say And everyone was like no it is your place to say So now there's a lot of This is not my fault. Look at that finger pointing, or finger pointing, which is never good.
Starting point is 00:12:53 The thing that would have killed me the most is that like if they waited a half second longer to tackle him, the game would have been over. No, no, 100%. There's a lot of things there. I mean, Buckeye Lemon ran out of bounds. If he went down, they could have kicked the field goal without any time. That's the other thing. It's like if they had the possibility to keep the ball and then kick that field goal and have no time left. What do you think was a dumber decision? This whole thing or the commanders? I dare I say commanders yeah because like technically
Starting point is 00:13:22 no one had any clue how much time was on normally like they didn't even kick the kicking to have it be returned isn't like the most insane thing ever yeah yeah I know and you know what's like and not to not to be like a salty fan because it's like I know that the Eagles have been good for so long
Starting point is 00:13:41 and that's been really hard for my fellow NFC East fans but when you know when they're when the public laughing happens I'm like you know I never publicly laughed at you I'm sure 100% sure about that yeah I'm rarely was I ever tweeting like ha ha ha love when the giants lose oh you definitely oh on the podcast I feel like you were pretty happy a couple times you didn't like rub it in when like the giants or any other rivalry I mean years and years and years ago when the giants were really good if they made like an insanely dumb play you're you wouldn't be like, oh my God. Maybe now, I guess maybe because I'm just not on Twitter at all anymore. Like I don't ever tweet.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I don't know. Yeah, why are we talking about just Twitter, though? Like, on this podcast. Because it's always Twitter. You've definitely, like, made fun of other teams. Yeah, but it's mostly Cowboys. Like, I feel like that's, I feel that way towards Cowboys, but not like. Not many others.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Not, like, not as much Giants and Commanders. It was such a funny tweet where it was like NFC East Owen for this week, even though two of them played each other. Yeah, yeah. It was like very impressive. Cowboys lose, Eagles lose, and then they tie. Yeah, that was really, I've never seen that happen before. Or it just seemed like every single person on the commander's offense did not know that the time was running out.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Like at least Siriani like took the brain, even if it wasn't necessarily his fault. But the commanders, it was just like everyone didn't really have any answer. They're just like, yeah, that was stupid. That's also the most frustrating thing when they're just like, yeah, I got to be better. It was like, what do you need you got to be better? Well, what was going through your mind? What do you didn't know? Just say you didn't know that you didn't have a time out.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Well, then they said, then one of the other guys said in the huddle, they said they didn't know that they had the timeout. Like that he knew. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. That's really, really, really quite bad. But no, it's not bad shape for the, I think that at this point I feel like they're just going to call it a wash for the season. Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:15:43 You think I'll be fired? Yeah. like mid-season or if they keep losing possibly but by the end of the season for sure drama I think he'll be out I think he'll be out for sure because really right now he does not do much
Starting point is 00:16:02 and the stats on how the team plays when they have a good offensive and defensive coordinator versus when they don't like Sierraani makes no difference it really comes down to the coordinators and when they've had great offensive coordinators, that's when they won Super Bowls. And when they haven't,
Starting point is 00:16:22 this is what happens. It's been real bad. It's been really bad. How about Drake May, though? How about Drake May and those Patriots? I can't say, let me tell you something. I was so stunned by how this ended the 1 o'clock games. I couldn't, I couldn't even pay attention.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like, I was out of it. I didn't really watch any of the Patriots. Five total touchdowns. Yeah. I didn't know that teams could. and in a tie. Yeah. It really took me by surprise.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Well, because what's crazy is, like, they changed the overtime rules to make sure that the teams get, both get possession. Because that's why a tie would never happen. Because it was like, if you won the coin toss and you went down and scored, then the game's over. And that's, and you just win. But now it's like if you get the ball, you score, no matter what, the other team has a chance to score.
Starting point is 00:17:14 And that made ties way more. way more possible. Yeah, it's just, it really shocked me when I woke up from my nap and saw there was a tie. I always hated that as a kid just because it doesn't look good. I'm like, the extra like, what dash one on a record? Yeah, I hated that. Yeah, I was laughing at people's tweets being like,
Starting point is 00:17:32 can't wait for the NFC East to come down to like the seven and nine eagles and like the six. I also feel like I probably say this every season when there is a tie that I didn't know there with ties. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I just keep forgetting. I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:17:49 Yeah, a tie. It goes all the way. I'd be pissed. I know. We almost... How many ties in the last 10 years? We almost got two ties. If you had to guess how many ties.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Last night was almost a tie. In the last 10 seasons, how many ties? In the last 10... Well, when did they change the rule? Three years ago? Oh, the overtime rule? Because the overtime, changing the overtime rule made ties way more common. That was pretty recent, I think.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Yeah. That was pretty recent, I think. Yeah. Oh, so very... Well, I guess that overtime rules just keep changing. Yeah. In the last 10 years, how many ties? Last 10 years?
Starting point is 00:18:25 17. I'm going to say 11. 9. 9. Oh, okay, so very rare. Yeah. Very rare. Almost one year, almost.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Pretty much. That's it. Yeah, that adds up. Besides, let's see, that we got two back-to-back ties in 2016. Oh, I already remember that. And 2018. Yeah. And then it was spaced out.
Starting point is 00:18:52 I don't think, I honestly, my personal opinion is in all of sports, there should never be a tie. You should be playing until you're, there's a winner. I 100% agree with you. I disagree only with soccer. Bobby, because they're going to, like, die on the field. No, it's just like, you know, they're long games and, like, what are you going to play until, like a regular Premier League game you're going to play until penalty kicks? Well, the penalty kicks is fun for me.
Starting point is 00:19:19 If you're like a real soccer thing, I'm sure that you are like, this isn't how you should end the game. But I like penalty kicks and like shootouts and hockey and all that stuff. Yeah, yeah. I think it's just like longevity-wise, you know, these guys are playing a lot of games. If you make every game 30 minutes longer. But that's like tennis. But it's like tennis even does it where it goes into what's it called the tie break. Tie break, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Yeah, you got to end somehow. Yeah. What did you have to say post? It was about the tie. Oh, about the tie. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you excited for your bills tonight? Very excited, although I have Matt Stafford on my fantasy team.
Starting point is 00:19:58 I'm the laughing stock of my fantasy league, so I just genuinely, I can't even talk about it. I'm the fucking laughing stock. I don't know how that happened. I don't know how it happened either. All my guys are hurt. I don't know. I don't know. I kind of threw it out the window.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I think Stafford will have a good game tonight, but. Hopefully I will win tonight if he has a good game. So, yeah. I think Stafford and Josh and I will both play well tonight. Yeah. You're not playing against Josh Allen, are you? What do you mean about the quarterback? No, no, no, no, no, no. No, just the person I'm playing with their team's done. How much are you down? Let me check. Guys, I really don't even want to talk about. Are you last place?
Starting point is 00:20:34 No. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. What's your record? Guys, you're asking me so many questions. I don't know. You just know that you're terrible. I just know that I've been losing every week. I'm down right now 10 points. Oh, you'll. But I'll, but their team's done. so yeah you're in a good place unless Matt Stafford trips on his way out
Starting point is 00:20:53 and falls in the bill's defense is terrible by the right all of sudden tonight yeah you get a lot of really angry Rams fans in your DMs oh man whatever I'm the laughing stock of the league I've accepted it that's it's okay it's okay enough sports talk
Starting point is 00:21:08 yeah yeah that's it moving on was fucking furious God I don't blame you what a tough one for all the people that went to my brother and my dad were just like damn E-4. Yeah, that's a long flight, huh? Yeah. And one of, oh, they had such a nice trip, so it's regardless.
Starting point is 00:21:24 But one of Joe's friends was also there, and he left after the Eagles kicked the field goal. And then he was, like, in their group chat being like, wait, I'm getting on the tube, like, what happened? Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, God. Oh, no. That's nasty. I would honestly partially put the blame on him.
Starting point is 00:21:46 That's nasty. Real nasty. see stuff. Yeah, yeah. Yikes. Just. But Roodle, but other than that, it was a lovely weekend. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yeah. How did the rest of your weekend go? We threw a surprise party for my dad, which was awesome on Friday night. So left Montana at 3 in the morning, Thursday night, got home, made it back to the city, then took the train in Long Island, big surprise, casino night. he had no idea. He had no idea. And he actually was more stuck on the fact that he did not pick up on it. Like he just was like, how did I not, how did I not pick up on this whole thing? That is true. He was, he felt very disoriented that the people in his own house had been
Starting point is 00:22:34 planning this for months. Right. I could also see him being like that, that, that leads to, well, what else do you guys hide for me? Right. Right. Because, well, because my sister lives in my house in Long Island and my mom and my sister I've been really planning it together and he's like this is happening under my roof and had no clue and had no idea
Starting point is 00:22:52 so job well done yeah so they crushed it really did an awesome job putting this together casino night Matt set up they had like casino games come like you can have people come set up like roulette
Starting point is 00:23:08 blackjack it's fake money but it's still very fun and so that was awesome had a band come. It was so cute. His, like, best friends that he literally grew up with since he was a small, small child, flew in to surprise him. And he was so taken aback, so happy had, like, the time of his life.
Starting point is 00:23:26 It's a big birthday. Yeah, it's a 60th birthday party. So that was really awesome and a lot of fun. And then I honestly just crashed so hard after that. Came home late Friday night, wanted to sleep in my own bed. So I did not stay on Long Island. and just slept for the entire weekend. I really can't.
Starting point is 00:23:49 I literally slept so much. I can't even tell you how many hours I slept. It was just like, sleep, wake up for a little bit, go back to sleep, wake up for a little bit. And that was really it. Just really, but it was so cozy. I went to the diner Sunday, which was really nice. And it rained all day Sunday.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Oh, it was like the perfect time to do nothing. I did not change out of my pajamas all day. Oh, I wore the same pajamas from Friday night when I got home after this prize party to Sunday night when I finally decided to take a shower. And like, I went to the diner in the clothes that I had been sleeping in since Friday, which is very unlike me, if you know me. I'm a big, you know, show. You shower like three times a day.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Yeah, I'm a big shower and change type of gal, and I just couldn't do it. No, I felt that as well. I also said that I did not have the energy. And I ended up getting my period, like, after the big fall, the big throw off the horse that night when I was thrown off the horse, I got my period, which, was very odd because I just had it two weeks ago. But I looked into it and it's like a trauma response. Your body's stressed out. Can make it come earlier. The whole thing. So then I'm like, oh, now I have my period. And that added to it. And I just felt so blah. And I feel really
Starting point is 00:24:58 blah today. I'm not going to lie. I feel kind of like shit today. And I've pretty much accepted that I'm going to feel like shit probably until Wednesday. That's the deadline though. That's the deadline. I'm cutting myself on Wednesday because I'm going to get my hair down Wednesday and I feel like that really revives you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's very much giving Vince after he gets into that big accident towards the end of entourage and then he shaves his head off and like goes down like a bad path. Like that's kind of what I'm giving with this whole fall thing. It's like, oh no. Oh, now she's dyeing her hair. And like, who knows? I also like sometimes like when you have a weekend where you're just sleeping so much, it's hard, it's just hard to get back.
Starting point is 00:25:33 Oh, yeah. Like it like, you get back in the swing of things. It makes you more, like the more you sleep, the more sleep you are. Exactly. Sometimes like, exactly. Because I was running on zero sleep from Thursday to Friday. It did not sleep at all because Thursday was the last night of our brand trip, which was so much fun. Oh my God. Like we seriously had the best time ever with these girls and DSW. Like it really was so much fun.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Yeah. And so none of us wanted to leave each other and go to sleep. No, no, no. So we were playing YouTube videos in our room. Exactly. With the other girls and we were having so many laughs. And so we stayed up until I had to go to the airport. And then I just was on.
Starting point is 00:26:09 And sometimes you have more energy that way. is you're like, I just going to get through this, power, power, until your body just like inevitably shuts down, which is what happened. But yeah, I'm giving myself till Wednesday. And then hopefully I'll come back around and I stop feeling so blah. The hair always helps. Yeah, now I'm kind of like.
Starting point is 00:26:28 And as you're doing the, you're dying or cutting? I'm doing both. I'm not a major cut. Nobody, nobody fret. I'm just getting a little trim. No, a trim. Just a little dusting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Just to give some body back. and yeah, I'm going brown. Although now I'm having second thoughts about going brown, but I think I just have to do it. I'm like... What are your second thoughts? It just like looked really good last week. Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:26:54 You know, like the blonde. Like it really... I was looking back as a, you know, it looked really good. So I'm second guessing it, but I know that in a couple weeks anyway, I'm going to be like, no, so I might as well. I have the appointment, so... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mine as well just to do it.
Starting point is 00:27:08 And you don't really go... like it's not brown well it's brown but it's not like black yeah yeah I mean I'll never type my hair black again no no no but it's not like you're not we're not talking chaka brown we're yeah teetering probably I feel like the last time you had it brown it was it had it had it has dimensioned but it's still like brown
Starting point is 00:27:28 yeah no it's term so yeah that'll be Wednesday I'm excited for that and I'm excited to like get some more energy back of my life I'm on my fourth espresso of the morning fourth yeah what the hell I know. That's kind of insane. Guys, I'm so tired.
Starting point is 00:27:44 No, I know, but like, that doesn't send your, like, you're not hearts up beating out of your chest? No. Like, that's crazy. I think I just have such as, like, I, caffeine really can have such an effect on me. Yeah. Where I just, like, I feel like, feel it. Four, I think I'd have to go to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:28:02 I'm not even kidding. Like, I, I think I'd be, I think I was having a heart attack. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I had to, two, a special, Martini's Thursday night and I could not like that's different when you're trying to fall asleep later but I still felt like Friday afternoon I felt it's yeah well your body's very sensitive to caffeine
Starting point is 00:28:21 yeah it is I do not mine's not as much to caffeine because I was addicted to soda for most of my life yeah that's a good point I feel like I just like yeah a lot of body just ran on soda for a long time not anymore but yeah you know but it's not as crazy but for a while but you really didn't drink coffee for so long I know I know, but I think it was because I had someone sober. It's just like going from zero to four for a morning is nuts. Literally Will Ferrell and kicking and screaming.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Which, by the way, RIP, Mike Dicka. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, that was a big one. Yeah. I was, I, that was a surprising one too. I didn't know. But then you were reading.
Starting point is 00:29:01 But then you realize he was old. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't realize he was like, 86. Yeah. I thought, when I heard that, I was like, oh, what happened? Then I was like, oh, he's 86.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Older than. But what? Yeah, that was a more about kicking and screaming. It's like that's when he comes up. Yeah, yeah. I guess if you hear fours, it's a lot of people I would say like mainly known from that. Like if you're not a big football fan, you know? Yes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:22 No, the bears, you know, like that's not my thing. But I know that that was. It is, however it is for many. So yeah, four is crazy. Oh, I'm just usually four wouldn't. I usually just have two in the morning and I'm good. Yeah. I just have a double espresso in the morning.
Starting point is 00:29:35 I am so, I cannot emphasize enough how tired and, physically ill, I feel. Do you guys know what you're going to be for Halloween this year? Not a clue. No. Not even thought about it. No, what is your job? Are we going to do a... We should start thinking about it. It's actually right around the corner. Wow, now I'm frazzles. We don't have our idea.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I know. Now we're behind schedule. You know what I was watching what popped up on my TikTok, weirdly enough, was videos of when we did She's the Man a couple years ago. Yeah. Oh, just randomly? Yeah. I don't know why. you're always searching your name. Yeah, well, of course.
Starting point is 00:30:14 The algorithm those to show you videos of yourself. Of yourself. The algorithm is just you. Wow, this girl's funny. That's actually my nightmare. Like, genuinely, my nightmare is when I'm scrolling on TikTok and I see a video about me.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I hate it. I block it. I report it. I hit the not interested. I hit the not interested. I hate it. Speaking of that, like the whole job matter thing, I was like,
Starting point is 00:30:44 I don't want to rewind. I literally said to Sarah, like, don't clip that, obviously, like after last week. And then I was scrolling TikTok. Someone else clipped it.
Starting point is 00:30:50 I was scrolling TikTok. I did see that. That's what I mean. When I see a clip of our show, not from our page, I immediately, I'm like, I'm not interested in this.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Like, I remember what I said. Yeah, I don't want to watch it. And I don't want to watch it. Let's think of some good, good costumes. Yeah, we have to.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Oh, my God. You're so. So right. We've always had so many good ideas in past years, too, that we haven't done. So we would, we would, like, think back. Oh, shit. Oh, my God. What was, like, big this year?
Starting point is 00:31:19 That's, like, in terms of, like, pop culture. Off campus? Yeah, what would you be an off campus? Um. Like, that's an easy one, like, the, if they're selling, like, the briar jersey or whatever. Right. Yeah, but. But I feel like it would be hard.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Who do you? You should wear the pink helmet. You could be a. Are you, Gary? Graham? Like probably. Really? Well, I feel like you like you've liked dressing up as guys. I do. I totally do. But if I wanted to not be a guy, then I would do Allie and then have Matt do Dean. So like the J-Lo and Maverick. Yeah, I was going to say I'm sure that I'm sure a lot of people will do. But then people are just going to think you're dressing up as J-Lo and Maverick. No, no, no, no, people would get it for sure. But I feel like that will be played out. So yeah, I would probably
Starting point is 00:32:04 dress Scarra Graham. That would be funny. You should get full hockey pets. Yeah. Let's see. We've got people are going to do Bad Bunny, the cast of the pit, Taylor Swift and the Ham sisters all in their Nick's shirts. Yeah, I feel like we have to really think
Starting point is 00:32:26 outside the box. Obsession. I think we have to do something of people making an obsession is going to be a lot. I rewatched obsession on the plane last week. It was an odd choice by me, but I very much enjoyed it. You see, they're already like Curry Baker's already like, probably his new movie. Really? No, I haven't seen it.
Starting point is 00:32:43 You could be The Grass from Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance. Athena and Odysseus is a big one. Celebrity Row. Yeah, Hannah and Garrett, obviously. I mean, you can buy the full Garrett-Gram costume. It's like they got the whole jersey. I feel like that's just like too obvious, though, that we would be dressing up from off campus.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. You know, yeah. I had a heated robbery is another one. I think a lot of people will do that. You know, I'm giving heated rivalry a rewatch soon. That's so fair. I miss it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I miss it too much. Harry Styles and the dance, No more video. No, we gotta think something, throwback, you know, that's our vibe.
Starting point is 00:33:23 This is, I was looking at, like, this is all current stuff, obviously. And last year, I did pretty because I did Glinda.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Yeah. That was also for, like, a show. Right, but now I want to go back to, because it was, we did, we did,
Starting point is 00:33:37 she's the man. then we did Sweet Life, then we did Wicked, we got to go back to, I gotta go back to a guy. Yeah. To the funny. Yeah, I want to go back to the funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we gotta think about this.
Starting point is 00:33:52 You've totally distracted me now. I know, I know. We're at the point now where if you need to order something, you're not, you need to do it now. No, it will be figured out by tonight. She will be sending ideas out. I will be sending ideas all day. I'll be sending ideas all damn day.
Starting point is 00:34:07 So, you know what, you're welcome. It's on a Saturday this year, Halloween. It is, and I have a wedding the next day, so I can't even celebrate on Halloween. Why? You don't be hungover? I can't, I won't be like. Oh, in the city.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Yeah. And, you know, it's crazy. The marathon is on something. That sucks because you're going to miss out on all the kids' trinketreating. I know. I know. I'm bummed. Dang.
Starting point is 00:34:30 And your first marathon on Sunday. I said that yesterday. I was so bummed because, Alex, Andrew's, you know, Andrew and Alex, they're going to be in the city for that. For that marathon began. And it reminded me that I won't be here. And I was super bummed.
Starting point is 00:34:49 My first. Because I never understood the, you know, hubbub around it. So I was excited to really be in the mix this year and I won't even be in the mix. Oh. I know. Darn. I know. It is great.
Starting point is 00:35:03 But yeah, that's going to be a double. It's a very different feel going from Halloween night into Marathon Sunday is going to be. It's going to be a tough one for a lot of people. Actually, so does that mean that next year Halloween will be on Marathon Sunday? No, because Marathon is always the first Sunday of November. So it'll actually be two weekends.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Now it'll just be a weekend apart. It'll never be October. But this is just so happens where November 1st is the first Sunday in November. They were running in costumes. Oh, you know, people might. I bet you a lot of people will because people do it. I mean, people do that anyway. Oh.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I'm so bomb now. Yeah, yeah. I'm going to miss the Halloween parade and the marathon. Yeah. And honestly, the move to the city really before the holidays so I can experience all the holidays. Well, you'll be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I mean, Christmas is the best time. I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:35:56 They already decorated outside my apartment area with like pumpkins and Halloween. So cute. So cute. The leaves are falling. No, it's so cute. I know that I really haven't been here in the city for long now, but I'm loving. Yeah. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Yeah, went to Central Park. We were all there. It's, what? No. We were all there, technically in Central Park after we went to the Verity premiere. Yes, but I think he meant like as a stroll. No, I know. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I'm just, technically, we were all there. I mean, you couldn't do it yesterday. It was raining, but nothing's better than a nice Sunday stroll. Yeah. And like, now that we have this diner, that we love near by it. It's like, oh, hit the diner on Sundays, then go for a Central Park stroll,
Starting point is 00:36:39 really romanticizing it all. I'm like eating it up. I really haven't been here. But it's like, I'm just loving it. And I feel bad. I feel like I've just like abandoned Jersey so fast. And it's kind of like, see you later. But I have not thought about, I have not thought about it.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah. You never know. You never know. Like, but that's because it's so exciting. You're here now. It's all new. Right. It's new.
Starting point is 00:37:00 But this is Manhattan. This is people all over the world come here. Well, you know what it was funny? Of course. I just mean later down the road. I know, I know. I'm just saying like, you're living in like the number one city in the world. No, it's awesome. And we used to be like, oh, you know, like people in Manhattan, they don't get the view that we get of Manhattan. But it's like, no, no, now we're in it.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Concrete jungle. Yeah, we're in the concrete jungle. But I am going back to, uh, I'm going back to Jersey on Wednesday to get my hair done. So right. I'll be the one person you cannot abandon. I will never abandon. My hair people. Yep. Yep.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Because they are the reason that my hair looks so good, I truly believe. Because once I started going here, my hair are so healthy. Yeah. Like I cannot abandon my hair girls. There you go. I just can't. It's the one thing. Yeah, I see ya, but the hair, I'm back.
Starting point is 00:37:52 I am back. So fair. All right. Well, I'm going to be thinking about Halloween costumes all damn night. Yeah. So. Gosh. Send us all the ideas we start talking.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Okay. I think I just thought of an idea, but I'll wait, I'll wait. No, no, no. I'll send to you guys later. Okay, let's get into today's topic. Yes. Kelly Clarkson versus this art store in Brooklyn. This is going to hold a buckle online. Toby McGuire was officiating his ex-wife's wedding.
Starting point is 00:38:18 I didn't even know he had an ex-wife. And we got the banana bowl. Yeah, we got to talk about whatever happened there. Is there some collusion going on? I don't know. I don't know. But what an event. What an event? What an event?

So Kelly Clarkson tweeted about how she went to this store in Brooklyn because she was interested in some of their pieces.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Yes. Now the store itself, I'm concerned. fuse. It's like a art toy store. Yeah. There's some magic involved. It mixed in. Just sounds like very Brooklyn. Really a jack of all trade store. Just sounds very Brooklyn. It's called the art of play.
Starting point is 00:40:49 She originally posted. Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn't afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You're an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y'all should go check. check out art of play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character
Starting point is 00:41:09 and Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out. Thumbs down emoji. The store then posts. Yesterday, Kelly Clarkson visited us in Brooklyn and inquired about buying Molly, a one-of-a-kind singing and dancing bird automaton who plays an important role in the magic shows we host here. Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn't for sale. However, the negative experience Kelly described on Twitter would resonate with anyone who has ever felt judged in a shop. At Art of Play, whether someone comes in to make a purchase or simply look around for a while, they are equally welcome. We greet everyone who walks in the door with the invitation to pick things up and play,
Starting point is 00:41:44 and they do. Many stay for hours enjoying our puzzles, games, and toys. Imagine our surprise when our small local business was suddenly attacked by 8 million people will have never visit our store. It's been a surreal experience to be the focus of such widespread outrage after just one mentioned by a celebrity. Thanks to all of our friends for their support and welcome to all the curious folks who have discovered us amidst the drama.
Starting point is 00:42:03 We're going to keep our heads down and hopefully we can clear things up with Kelly someday. As a talented popular singer once said, What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger? Joey Kamasa actually commented on this post and said, I was literally there in August and saw Molly. There was a price tag on it. It's most definitely for sale. So Kelly then posted a screenshot of Molly
Starting point is 00:42:20 with the price tag next to it. $15,000 this thing is on sale for. It's right there. It's a little placard. It says that Kelly responded back, cool, cool, sure, it wasn't for sale. That's the narrative art of play is going to go with thumbs up emoji.
Starting point is 00:42:36 So the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale, whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title, Sicking Bird didn't happen. As you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending toad, yes, it's for sale, but it costs $15,000. So if you'd like me to find something comparable for you, I can. That all never happened and now it's not for sale. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:42:54 So you're not only rude, you're also a liar. Got it. And by the way, I obviously support small businesses because I was literally at a small business trying to purchase things. I love small businesses and know they are important. I always support them, but you don't get a free pass to treat people less. then in your store just because you are a small business. It's not that hard to be kind.
Starting point is 00:43:09 I never blast people, but you, my friend, were an exception. Your store is really cool. Unfortunately, you aren't. Art of Play then came back and clarified, and the clarification was very funny to me. We'd like to clarify some additional details about Kelly Clarkson's visit to our curiosity shop on Saturday. During the five minutes she spent in the store,
Starting point is 00:43:27 she inquired about her mechanical bird puppet named Molly. We explained that while Molly is permanently attached to the wall and serves as a de facto mask off her shop, A nearly identical automaton is owned by the creator of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Cobb, who lives in Seattle. He told us he would be willing to part with Molly's twin for $15,000. We explained all of this to Kelly Clarkson. We also offered to show her a different singing bird made by a traditional clockmaking shop in Germany
Starting point is 00:43:53 that she could have taken home with her that day. It cost about $2,000. She did not stick around long enough to see it. We reached out to Kelly directly to try and clear the air. We really do wish her the best and hope that someday we can all laugh about this misunderstanding. It's funny to me to say that it was, it went from, Molly is permanently attached to the wall and isn't for sale.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Wait, I love that this is pinned on their Instagram. Our favorite items not for sale on us. Yeah. Well, I think that might be a recent pin. Okay, I have a question. Now it is for sale. They call themselves a curiosity shop. Is that what this whole thing is called?
Starting point is 00:44:30 Five weeks ago. Our favorite item, that was up for five? Well, they probably pinned it like yesterday. our favorite items not for sale five weeks ago. Okay, wait, after a month-long summer hiatus, our Brooklyn Curiosity Shop is open again. See, you'll just never find me at a curiosity shop. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:44:55 The shelves are full of wonderful things for sale, but in honor of Labor Day weekend, we thought we share a few of our favorites that aren't. Okay, keep scrolling. These are all free. Hmm. Interesting. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:45:13 And that's the bird? That is the bird. That is the bird. Now here's the thing though. It's like very clearly there was a price tag. There was a price tag next to the bird. Were they just like bragging that they have this bird that costs $15,000? You can't have it.
Starting point is 00:45:29 And like I don't know if maybe they were trying to say that we could get you this. Like we won't sell you this bird, but we could get you the same bird for $15,000. It's just not this one, you know? Right. I'm confused. Like, if they have a price tag next to the bird, are they just being like, this is what this bird costs,
Starting point is 00:45:50 but you can't have it. Yeah, but you can't have it. You can't have it. Na, nah, nah, you can't have it. No, you can't have this one specifically. But then you're like, I want that one. Daddy? The thing is, I want it now.
Starting point is 00:46:06 But the whole thing is, I think if Kelly Clarkson is mad about something, there has to be likes to it. Because she has never complained about one thing in her life. She has a drama-free woman. And my God, she had some ups and downs in her personal life, and she has never once publicly put someone on blast
Starting point is 00:46:28 or share things that she shouldn't. She's a national treasure, Kelly Clarkson. Of course. And here's the thing. For this, whoever was working to not realize they were dealing with Kelly Clarkson is where I'm like, this store just isn't for me, clearly. Because if you're not recognizing Kelly Clarkson,
Starting point is 00:46:45 we got a problem. Exactly. And I don't want to, what's the word I'm looking for? Typecast. What a Brooklyn Curiosity Shop worker acts like? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. How they would come across to you?
Starting point is 00:47:03 Right. Pretentious. Right. Come on. We all know it. No, no. We're all thinking it. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:12 This person said, here's a comment after their last response. Scroll down a little, no one. It says, I've been to your store and I have seen Molly's price tag. The moody employees you hire are the problem. I may be nobody and my experiences and opinions may mean nothing to you, but I have received the same treatment from your employees. Now I feel better because I realize that all those times I felt like there was something wrong with me. The problem wasn't me.
Starting point is 00:47:36 The problem is your employees and your refusal to acknowledge was what is happening. instead of making excuses, you should investigate the situation more thoroughly and apologize. It's really not that hard. Here's the thing. So there's the thing, like maybe the owner has no idea that their employees are being dicks to people. 1,000% and I feel like that happens often. And I've seen the argument now where people are like, okay, well, now there's a lot of attention to the small business. And that's not right because it's a small business.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Right, right. And yes, while it is a small business and we want to support small businesses, having a small business does not give you the right to be an asshole. Right. Like the employee's working, you don't just get a free pass to be a dickhead. Yeah. Because it's a small business.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Like you still want people to come in and feel welcome to buy things in your shop. Totally. And I feel like that does happen in places where sometimes you walk into an establishment and the employee is so nasty and it's not on the owner at all. And then you're kind of thrown off because maybe the employee's having a bad day or maybe, you know, and then you're just like, you take it out on them, but I don't know. This really, this really got out of hand. And I just feel like they had to have been really fucking rude for Kelly Clarkson to get online and be like, do not shop here.
Starting point is 00:48:54 I agree. And if she walked in, it's like you're immediately, you feel judged by your appearance. Like you said, the elevator eyes her, like, looking her up and down. I've never heard of that term and now I love it. Elevator eyes? Elevator eyes. Yeah. Is there a song like that?
Starting point is 00:49:08 That's a good one. Elevator eyes. The vacation eyes. Yeah, vacation eyes or bedroom eyes is a term. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Betty Davis eyes. Yeah. But what about elevator?
Starting point is 00:49:18 Elevator eyes. Honestly, bad connotation. Sounds not good. No, it's judgy. Elevator eyes is up and down. You're looking, and I'm just envisioning what this employee was saying, just looking her up and down. It's basically like you should try Sears.
Starting point is 00:49:38 like, you know, when it means... Yeah. Ooh, you should try Sears. Yeah, and that's just... Yeah. And she's Kelly Clarkson, so I would be fucking pissed too. And if I'm Kelly Clarkson, I'm like, go fuck yourself. Seriously, you don't know I'm Kelly Clark.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And I know Kelly Clarkson maybe doesn't want to say, do you know who I am? No. But I feel like Kelly Clarkson... Well, this is her saying that. I don't know if it's her... Yeah, you know what? I'm going to give her a pass. I'm going to give her a pass.
Starting point is 00:50:07 I'm going to give her a pass to be like... Like, do you know who I am? I'm Kelly Clarkson. Kelly Clarkson is a staple. She is. Travel with love? The thing is, I think Noah has been quiet because he doesn't want to give his opinion about the home. No, no, I am not like.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Noah's team shop. No, I'm not team shop. And I'm not anti-Kelly. I like Kelly. I just think it's like one of those situations where it's like, it's spiraling out of control. And it's like, just let it go. You know, that is true. But sometimes you just,
Starting point is 00:50:38 comes over you where you're like, I need to stand up for myself. Right. And I just feel like Kelly, there's been so many times where people want to walk all over Kelly. You know, sometimes that is, sometimes it's not about the burnt money. Sometimes it's just about being walked all over. Unfortunately, art of play may have just been Kelly Carson's last drop. Like, wrong place, wrong time. And you played with the wrong version of Kelly Carson.
Starting point is 00:51:02 And they just got the brunt of it. Exactly. Like sometimes you just, I, I'm going to. explode and this fucking guy not letting me buy this $15,000 bird is my last straw. Yeah. But the tweets are so funny. It's like when they say, you know, you take it out on the people closest to you. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:21 It's like, unfortunately, Art of Play was the closest in proximity to Kelly. Yeah. When this all went down. Yeah. She just got enough. There was one that was like Kelly Clarkson was trying to buy the red, red balls outside of Target right now. This one, Kelly Clarkson has a taser and she won't leave the rainforest
Starting point is 00:51:38 caffeine until she can buy one of the animatronic birds. Unfortunately, that is very funny. And you know what? I would be pissed. Like if there was something that I had been seeing on social and I was like really excited about going to check it out and I wanted to inquire about it. I walk in and they basically look at me like, honey, you can't afford this. I'd be pissed. Yeah. Yeah. It's definitely. It's definitely quite the feeling that you don't want to have happened to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:14 But here's the thing. It was a lengthy statement a lot more than I would ever think Kelly Clarkson would do. But like I said, we clearly caught Kelly on a bad day. Right. And art of play on a bad day at that. This is just not very serious, though. You know what I mean? The employee didn't walk up to Kelly Clarkson and slap her in the face and spit on her and say, you can't afford this.
Starting point is 00:52:34 I also don't think that Kelly was trying to end this business. So, yes, this has gotten a bit out of hand. Like, oh my God, Kelly hates small businesses. She wants to kill small business. On both ends. Like, they didn't, you know. Imagine just just be like not the employee. Like, you're just like a worker there now.
Starting point is 00:52:53 And now you're at this, like, hated store. Yeah, you're like, fuck. Like, people are going in there like. If anything, you realize your dickhead coworker was an asshole to Kelly Clarkson. You're pissed. Yeah, they're probably like, oh, that guy sucks. Yeah. By the way, if anything, there's probably so many people trying to go to the store right now.
Starting point is 00:53:07 Oh, I thought about taking it. to Brooklyn just to check out what this is all about. It's going to be lying out the door. People are going to be trying to see what. And people, this bird is famous now. And everybody's going to want to go see Molly the fucking bird. And people are going to want to try to buy this bird. Someone's like, I want to own the bird.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Kelly Clarkson just came into my apartment and demanded to buy a load bearing wall. Where is this place? Holy shit. I'm looking it up. Yeah, it's just not that serious. But I understand why Kelly was. I know aid. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Jurassic Park updates. Kelly Carson has our gift shop employee at gunpoint and will not leave until we sell her an animatronic dinosaur. Oh, it's really like right over the Brooklyn Bridge. Is it by Peter Lugers? Actually, yeah. I think so. Hold on. Oh, no, it's not.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Peter Lugers is by the Williamsburg Bridge. Got my bridges mixed out. My bad. Art of Play is down by the Brooklyn Bridge, sort of like Cable Hill. It's listed as a home goods store on Google. That makes more, let's go with home goods,
Starting point is 00:54:27 not curiosity shop. Curiosity shop, this makes me want to roll my eyes. A place to discover magic. That's what's on the door. And now I'm looking at people's reviews. Honestly, though, this is kind of like, just like, you know,
Starting point is 00:54:39 it's a cute shop. The world's a crazy place. It's kind of refreshing to have, like, such an absurd story. It really is. This is so 2011. Yeah, like, no one's really going to get hurt here. Hopefully, you know.
Starting point is 00:54:51 But this is where people take things too far. And they get really mad for Kelly Clarkson. They're going to leave all these terrible reviews. And it's a whole thing off of one dickhead employee. And it's, you know. As of right now, it only, it's, that has not been affected. Okay. I can say from looking at it on Google Maps.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Yeah. You're right, though. Like, we needed something refreshing like this on the time. line. It's something, yeah, it's like, something not so serious. Kelly Clarkson versus art of play.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Yeah. Let's write this down for, for the New Year's episode when we talk about the pop culture moments of the year. Kelly Clarkson versus art of play. This could get way bigger. You know, it's only beginning of the week.
Starting point is 00:55:36 Pablo Torre, like, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he, that was a whole new thing. He's like a sports reporter, but he's really like, his whole thing is investigating. like he investigated Bill Belichick and Jordan but he's like I'm looking into this
Starting point is 00:55:49 yeah well I mean the funny like the immediate second statement from them being like just to clarify from our like the five minute conversation first statement was so like this bird is not for sale and then it was like well let me clarify the bird is for sale but not this bird but you can get another bird but there's just like
Starting point is 00:56:07 all right well now I think you're getting your lines crossed a little bit part of play maybe they were saying that like they had a comparable like we have another bird that's comparable just not this bird. Yeah, I don't know. I'm trying to figure out what. Kelly Carson has only
Starting point is 00:56:26 talked shit about three people. Dr. Luke, Clive Davis and her bum-ass ex-husband. Now I'm really interested in what this store had to say. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. This store had to be really rude. I'm telling you, you got to be a real dick to rile up Kelly Clarkson like this. 1,000% 1,000%
Starting point is 00:56:46 And that's And I just come on the show Let's talk about it Yeah, yeah Yeah I really feel that way Should we just go to the store And investigate live And like, excuse me
Starting point is 00:56:55 Would you like to comment? Well I'm sure there are news outlets Go in there They're probably They're probably Access Hollywood's coming to you live From Outside Art and Play tonight So
Starting point is 00:57:05 Listen we needed something Little early 2000s To get back onto the timeline right now And also just like throwing it out on on Twitter, too, was really, you're just like, this, she, she never tweets. Also, she's cross-posting, like, she's posting on Instagram and Twitter, like, we're making sure this is seen from all angles.
Starting point is 00:57:25 Right, she is not backing down on this and that I respect. She's like, fuck hard of play. So is her show still on or no? No, she finished on. If only, the ratings would have been huge week. She should ring it back just this week. No, she's saying that cover of Golden, it was unbelievable. Golden Harry Styles.
Starting point is 00:57:42 No, no, no. K-pop demon hunters. It's like, it's literally an impossible song to sing live. Maybe she wrote a song about this. It was so good. Molly. Yeah, it's called Molly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Art of play. And there's like bird, her. Yeah, her new album. Art of Play. That would be a lot of fire name. I'm guessing that they didn't tell her that there was another $15,000 bird that she could buy. They were like, you could buy the $2,000 one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Ugh. God, so pretentious. I mean, it really isn't the thing that, what you. Like, yeah, it's just a... It is fun. Did you see the video of the bird actually, like, in motion? No. It's interesting.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Like, it's like you kind of do this thing and then the bird like moves and makes bird noises. But I was like, that's it for $15,000. It's all right, right, right. Like, I want this bird talking back to me if it's for that much. Right. I want to communicate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Yeah. Anyways, moving on, Toby McIre officiated his ex-wife's wedding this weekend. Yeah. I didn't know Toby McGuire had a next wife. They just finalized the divorce like last week. Toby McGuire, isn't he always with like young models with Leo? Yeah, but they were married for like 20 years. Really?
Starting point is 00:58:54 Oh my God. Maybe not 20 years. No, they finalized their divorce in September of this year. That's what's crazy. They just finalized their divorce. They haven't been together for a long time. How many years? I think like 10 years.
Starting point is 00:59:06 They haven't been together for like 10 years. Oh, okay. That makes more sense. But they have kids. The more you know. I truly. thought that Toby McGuire has just been a bachelor his whole life.
Starting point is 00:59:16 No, look up how many kids Tobin McGuire has. I think they have at least two kids. Now, why in the hell is he officiating his ex-wife wedding? Two kids. Two kids with Jennifer Meyer. The crazy thing is that his kid is the same age as that girl that he was doing earlier. That's fucking crazy.
Starting point is 00:59:33 That is crazy. It's Jennifer Meyer is his... Oh, that's his wife. I'm just saying that's the mother of these children. Meyer. Well, he officiated the ex-wife's wedding And I gotta be honest, I don't know whether this is beautiful or weird. I don't really care how close you are. It's weird.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Like, that's so nice that they get along so well. And, like, you know, one big family unit. Yeah. But. Is it weird? The kids are there? Like, you're gonna go. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:00:03 You can be a guest. Like, that's a, like, be a guest, be supportive, be there. But if you think about, like, what an officiate, like, what he's doing. and officiating their new vows and the promises and all these things. It's like, it's a little weird to be the one doing that when not so long ago you were on the other side doing this with the same person. And you have to talk about the couple. Yeah, you're like, what a beautiful thing. I just feel like, you know, it's, I'd be like, ugh.
Starting point is 01:00:34 I give more props to the new husband because the fact that he's cool with this. Yeah. Never. Never in my life would I be okay with that. care how close we are. He's like a billionaire, this new guy, huh? Yeah, well, maybe he's like that. Maybe that's why he doesn't. Toby's like, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I love this guy. So happen for you, Jenny? I saw some absolutely hilarious fake photos of Toby McGuire and Ice Spice, like, kissing at this wedding.
Starting point is 01:01:02 They were fake. Oh, they were fake. They were fake, but it was like, it's just that, that, like, ongoing rumor is hilarious. But these pictures, I'm just like, I don't know. It's, it's bizarre to me. It is bizarre. They finalized their divorce on September 21st. But here's the thing. Yeah, no, it's literally been 20 days. They're like, oh, wait, by the way, I'm getting married. We should probably finalize that.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Oh, yeah. This is the kind of place we're at now where, like, you see this and your initial reaction is like, yeah, that's fucking weird. Why would he be officiating that? But now, there's going to be a ton of people going, but that is so nice. That is, that is so nice. I don't see a problem with it, to be honest. You don't think that's weird? Is it like uncommon for sure?
Starting point is 01:01:45 But if they're like, if they've been separated for 10 years, they have kids together. And clearly they have a good relationship, then like. But there's not one other person in their life that would be good at a, yeah. But what if they, she asked him and he's like, yeah, I'll do it. Like, I'm happy for you. I just want you to be happy. All I know, I'm just putting myself in those shoes. And I do not want my wedding to be officiated by someone that my new spouse has had sex with.
Starting point is 01:02:11 no certainly not and created offspring yeah it's definitely it's definitely most weird for the new guy successfully they fornicated yeah you know like that to me is just
Starting point is 01:02:24 yeah yeah I mean they have been broken up for 10 years it's Hollywood man he's dated like a thousand people since it's just like in my opinion I'm just like there's no one else that you guys are close with Meyer they were married from 2007
Starting point is 01:02:39 to 2016 Okay, so not that was an exaggeration on 20 years from me. They were married for nine years. But have two kids. I just, you know, that is very nice to all be there together. Officiating is just another level. Now, like, of course, there were a lot of, a lot of big names were there. Leo, Jeff Bezos, Jeff and Lauren, Courtney Cox.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Imagine, I think maybe Leo officiating would be even weirder. Leo is just there to support his pal. Leo and Telby were like wedding crashers. They're just like hitting on every girl at the wedding. I don't, yeah, like, big picture, you think, that's beautiful. Everybody gets along. They're one big, happy, blended family.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Small picture, I just personally wouldn't be able to, I'd be like, I would love for him to be there. As a guest, have fun, celebrate. Right, on a deeper level of I'm a guest attending this wedding, I'm fully gossiping about this. Right, right, right. At the wedding, after the wedding before the wedding. Like, I'm talking about this to no end. You just, like, start a trend where all your next marriages are all officiated by your exes. It's like, well, this guy will have his turn, you know, at some point, but. And then he'll be, and then the Billy will be officiating the next one.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Just going through the whole thing. You never know. Yeah, the pictures looked beautiful. and, you know, glad Toby felt like he had a job. You think sometimes they're just, God, what can we, what can we have Toby do? It's like when they made, when, Kyle was the flower.
Starting point is 01:04:25 When Lindsay and Carl were going to have Kyle be the flower boy. Yeah. It's like, ooh, you don't know him to a fishie. Yeah. But we'll give them this job. No, Toby, they were like, actually, he's going to get the highest honor. You know, Toby really wants a job.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Just have a fish eat. Well, this doesn't be the highest honor at the wedding. Yeah. Cozy season is upon us. That means crisp mornings, movie marathon, soft layers. Starting point is 01:06:08 Yeah, I understand. And honestly, my husband brought this to my attention. I get it. Because he is really riled up. about the banana bowl and the Savannah vannas and Jackson in general he he I don't know if it maybe comes from a place of why are my not it why am I not a dancing baseball player right right right right there might be something there might be something yeah you know below there might be something he doesn't want to admit right that he was stirring deep down a dancing baseball player a dancing
Starting point is 01:06:35 banana yeah um because realistically he could be yes you know like that's like if it was somebody where it's like It could never be a possibility. You don't really have those feelings. Like, ooh, that could be me. But it could be. Right, when you played baseball in college and are, you know. And he's a good dancer. Right.
Starting point is 01:06:57 So it's like, ooh, what could have been? Yeah. So, you know, when he brings it up, I just let him have it. I'm just like, you know what? You get your feelings off about this. This is like a lot of Madison and the Jackson. It's a personal. Like, I got it.
Starting point is 01:07:10 You're not able to enjoy it like the rest of us. And he's like, have you seen what's going on about Dancing with the Stars? Yeah. I'm like, what, what's going on? I'm on the, I'm on the, whatever the fuck's happening with Guillermo, with Jackson. He's like, they're keeping Jackson around because they're promoting the banana bowl. I'm like, what? So I just look deeper into this.
Starting point is 01:07:34 Yeah. The banana bowl was happening this weekend. So people thought. Streamed on Disney Plus. Streamed on Disney Plus. And there were collab posts between Jackson Dancing with the Streaming for. stars of promoting the banana bowl. There were dancers from, lots of dancers from dancing with stars perform at the
Starting point is 01:07:48 banana. People were on this before this even happened last week. They were like, they're going to keep him because of this. I had no idea. See, we didn't know what the banana ball was on the calendar. I didn't know, had no idea. We were unaware that the banana ball was a big old event. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:08:01 I don't know if it's like, devil's advocate. I don't know if it's, we're keeping him for the banana bowl because realistically, he could have been on for three weeks and they still could have done all of this. Like they still got to have hit the same. Yeah, no, no. Yeah, but they still could have had the dancers go and all these things. My thing more is that like this explains so much more why he was cast. That's my thing.
Starting point is 01:08:25 I'm like, oh, and so early on that they announced that he was going to be on Dancing with the Stars because I'm sure in their plans for the year it was like, well, Disney's going in on the Savannah bananas in a big way. Like Disney's going in on the bananas, Disney's streaming, the Banana Bowl. We're going all in on the bananas. Give me the bunch. Like, give me all the bananas. And they said, you know what would be so great? And synergy is let's cast one of the bananas on Dancing with the Stars.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Then it all makes sense when we also air the Banana Bowl. Totally. I have a couple things I want to say. Yeah. Number one, of course the Jonas Bowers performed with the Banana Ballin. I couldn't believe my eyes. There's actually nothing more perfect than the Joneses. And it was like, surprise.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Here again. I've seen so many funny tweets of like, Like, did Mickey Mouse buy their, like, the rights to their lives? Actually, you can't script anything better than the Jones brothers popping up here. When I, when I came up with my TikTok, it was like the first thing I saw. It was them saying, and I went, what in the world are they doing at the Banana Bowl? I can't. These fucking guys.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Now people are saying that they think they're... It's literally a high-sized-well. What are those two doing up in a tree? Yeah. Now people are saying that they think the Jonas-Pellers are performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. no. The Jonas Bullers are not performing. The Jonas Bullers, you know what they're doing performing at the Banana Ball? We're at the... We're at the... We're at the Bonata. We're at the... We're at the Bannibal halftime show. But, okay. Now, second thing. Now, this is going to be a hot take and I'm going to ruffle some banana peals here. Okay. Okay. I have to get this off my chest. Yeah. I think it is so... And don't clip this now. Because I know I'm going to get a text after. Can I clip that? Yeah, yeah. No, you can't. Someone else is going to do that. Yeah. Of course. This is a safe space for everyone listening and we're in here.
Starting point is 01:10:11 I think it is so fucking bizarre and weird that there are grown adults on the internet that ride so hard for these bananas. Oh, oh. I think it is so weird. You got grown-ass adults getting season tickets to these dancing baseball players and riding so hard for them online in a bizarre way. I don't like it. It freaks me out.
Starting point is 01:10:37 It freaks me out. If you want to take your kids to a guy, game great. This is given like Disney like you're, it's kind of the Disney adult argument. Like here's the thing like if you want to take your kids. Very Disney.
Starting point is 01:10:49 Fine. Like I think that's fun like an outing to go see them. I do think it's an entertaining thing. Yeah. If you are a grown adult with zero kids and you have season tickets to the Savannah bananas and you are online defending them with your entire being, you're a fucking weirdo.
Starting point is 01:11:09 You're a weirdo and it's bizarre. And I, I don't hate you. Yeah. I just think it's really weird. And yeah, I don't know. It creeps me out. It creeps me out.
Starting point is 01:11:22 The like hardcore defending is different. Like that takes it to another level to me. If you are someone that just like enjoys watching them play and the art, like, and you enjoy going the games, who, you know. No, but okay. They're like to yuck their young. Well, that's what I like going. I'm saying it's on a deeper level, though.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Here's the thing with the banana bowl. I really had to do, I was Googling like what, what exactly this was and what was happening. Because I'm seeing these videos, I'm seeing, I'm seeing, I'm seeing,
Starting point is 01:11:54 I'm seeing, and then all of a sudden all these, other guys are popping up from other teams. I'm like, where, all these teams are coming together? I'm like, what is a banana fest?
Starting point is 01:12:04 Banana Fest. Banana Fest. They had a new original song. Now we know I talk. and have talked about Derek for a while. Because I think that man is so fucking talented. And I, anytime he, a video of him singing comes on, comes across my TikTok, I watch the whole thing because I think he is incredible.
Starting point is 01:12:26 I am a big fan of him. This whole event was really just showing to me that the bananas have gone. Disney. Like the bananas have gone corporate. The bananas. And good for them. No, so I'm saying. I'm saying, like, who knew that when they started this, this is the way it would go? But now, like, the mouse has a hold of them. And I say positive because it's obviously bringing so many more eyeballs to them. But with that comes, like, a performance. Now I feel like the bananas have turned into, like, if you were to go to Disney World, like, you could go to a game in order.
Starting point is 01:13:11 Landau and see the bananas and they sing Broadway show, like they sing Disney show tunes at the same time. That is all a thing now that they're on Disney Plus. It's all sort of making sense. And then they put all these people together to have this big event. They're dancing. The Jonas Brothers are there. There was a lot of other moments too. I'm trying to think of what else what else did I see from the Banana Bowl? Oh, I know who I'm missing. John Cena. Oh, of course John Cena. Of course John Sina. It was like they went down the checklist of like, what do we need to do to really amp up the banana bowl? They went, Joe Mish Brothers, check.
Starting point is 01:13:47 John Sina, check. Where the fuck was the rock? Pentatonics performed the national anthem. Like it could not be more like, it was when pentatonic sings the national anthem. They had a full beauty and the beast. The cast of the Beauty and the Beast touring show came out. They did a whole performance. We needed the rock and Kevin Hart.
Starting point is 01:14:08 John C. I know. That's really, they don't have, they must not have a Disney movie to promote right now. They're out of their price range. The Rock has live action. Moana. Yeah, but that's out like it's, that's been already been out, you know. Just saying. I think they can't afford them. John Cina delivered the game ball. Of course. He's ready to go. He had like a police escort with him. Yeah, he did. I mean, he came out with a full. It wasn't just police escort. It was like, he came out. in a military vehicle. Classic.
Starting point is 01:14:40 Yeah. It's like he's in a, he's in a big hummer. Who is, this guy? No idea. I don't know who that yellow banana.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Who is the yellow man and who wears all the yellow at the banana? Like is he, is he at all the games or is he just had this? It's like curious George guy. Like is he the announcer?
Starting point is 01:15:02 He got the big call up for the bowl. What's his job? I need to know who that is. I'm going to go. Here's my thing. Is every banana game, like, rigged? Or, like, are they losing games? I think they're planned out, like, the WWE.
Starting point is 01:15:20 I don't know about that. But, like, I've always thought it was, like, the Harlem Globetrotters kind of where it's, like, they're the team. Like, this is all, like, one kind of fake league. They're obviously the focus of it. They're going to play all these teams. Oh, my God. He's the owner of the team. But I've seen them, like, not.
Starting point is 01:15:36 I've seen them, like, lose inning. Well, let's see. Banana Savannah. Well, they play against the party animals, right? They're in the mix now. How many teams are there? There's a lot now. I think there's...
Starting point is 01:15:47 We should start a team here to play them. They finished their regular... The 2026 regular season with a 36 and 25 record. They're not even good. 36 and 25? They've lost 25 games. That's all I'm saying. How?
Starting point is 01:16:02 I thought this was like set up like the WWE. Yeah, I thought they were winning every game. No, they can't win every game. That's no fun. Not win every game, but more than not. I know, but like, you know, like, the Harlem Globe Chires, like they're basically winning every game. Like, I thought that's what it was.
Starting point is 01:16:16 I don't think so. Imagine, like, you're a kid being like, I can't wait to these bananas and they lose. Yeah, but imagine if maybe you're a fan of one of the other teams. Your team always loses. Oh, my God. You're telling me that there's fans of the normal. Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:26 Wait, are the... They're not normal. They all sing and dance now. Wait, wait. Even worse than being a fan of banana bananas would be being a fan of the party animals. Like, they're like... You're telling me they're really fan. of the other teams?
Starting point is 01:16:39 Yes. I thought those were just like, like existing in this world just for the Savannah bananas to play against. Like no one actually knows their names or their teams. Sadly they do.
Starting point is 01:16:49 So they're doing like flits and tricks too? Yeah. There are the party animals, the firefighters, the Texas tailgators, the local beach coconuts and the Indianapolis clowns. I thought it would be like the local beach coconuts are new.
Starting point is 01:17:05 I got to be honest, I'm so out on these dancing baseball players. actors being like, oh, the Savannah Bona is called Banana Ball. But all the other teams, there's why are you yelling? Because I can't believe, I'm shocked that it was. You can't believe that we don't know the ins and outs of the
Starting point is 01:17:21 fucking dancing baseball players. No, I just say that they, I just thought like, yes, they play real games. I don't think any, I would say if you ask any normal person in the world, they wouldn't expect these to be normal games. By the way, they're not normal games. Well, they're not normal games.
Starting point is 01:17:38 games. They're dancing and singing bananas. It's become so popular that they can add all these teams. Well, okay, teams have a strict two-hour time limit.
Starting point is 01:17:50 Sorry, can I go back to the man in yellow? He's the owner and creator of banana ball. His name is Jesse Cole. And he famously wears a custom tailored bright yellow tuxedo to every game event in public experience. Wait, if a fan catches a foul ball
Starting point is 01:18:03 in the stands, it counts, isn't out. Yeah. There's crazy rules. By the way, these are normal games. There's no bunts. There's no walking. It's banana ball. And the fans could play, but they're normal games.
Starting point is 01:18:20 Entertainment for... Now, look, there's... So what if a fly ball goes out and you just catch it normally? Does that not count? Like, you're like, oh, you didn't flip? Nope, that doesn't count. How high can you jump? Look, there's a lot of different rules, guys.
Starting point is 01:18:35 I mean, some of the flips and catches are incredibly impressive. They're very talented. They're incredibly athletic. Let's not take away from the fact that these are very athletically talented people, but it is ridiculous. Do the Savannah Planet is playing in a real league? They play in their own dedicated professional organization. All I'm saying is that it's blown up to a level. BBCL?
Starting point is 01:18:55 It's blown up to a level that has taken on a life of its own and it has become its own, like, show. It's like going to the circus. Do they have a BBCL draft? it's just going to keep getting bigger and bigger because they keep getting more and more people and they have so many fans and like I just said, now they got Disney on their side. Okay, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters
Starting point is 01:19:20 and basketball, the game focuses on, okay, yeah, yeah. But this is different than the Globetrotters and the fact that I guess I would like to know how many people are rooting for the firefighters and these other. The Globetrotters to me, though, was something where there was literally no fan. Like you were, the other teams had no fans.
Starting point is 01:19:38 That's what I'm saying. No, I think they only had one other team they played against. Yeah, like it wasn't. And the globechotters, I don't even think about that. Do the Texas firefighters have a tailgators? I'm even like thinking about them playing games. I just think about them like doing tricks. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Oh, okay. I was going to say how many Instagram followers they have. 248 the Texas tailgators. That's a good amount. I, yeah. I bet, I bet even more on TikTok. Oh my God. I just went to the Texas tailgators randomly.
Starting point is 01:20:03 2026 BBCL champions? Oh, they. The Saman of an American is. fucking win their own. They didn't even win. The Texas Sailgator is won. Champions merch? So long as I'm saying they want real competition. The Texas tailgators have almost 500,000 on TikTok. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:20:17 they're probably picking on TikTok. How many do you think Savannah? I'm shocked by all this. I did not know that there were other teams. I did not know that the Savannah bananas aren't winning. That's kind of embarrassing. The Savannah bananas have 4.4 million followers on Instagram.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Meanwhile, the Texas Tailgators are posting their merch, the championship merch. stomping all over them. Like, how, I need to know how many times have the Savannah bananas won this league? If it's not, if it's not the most of any.
Starting point is 01:20:47 You know what's also cracking me up is that when the George Brothers performed, like, I think Kevin's playing a guitar that's just like not plugged in. Oh, I mean, that's classic. Classic, Kevin. You know, like, I'm like, is that guitar plugged in?
Starting point is 01:20:59 I don't think it is. Unless it's like, maybe something's got it plugged, maybe it's in his pocket or something. Oh my God, they never won? Oh my God, this is an ad bananas I've never won the league The league just completed in our Well, wait, this is it
Starting point is 01:21:14 No, no, but previously When it says the league just completed It's inaugural 2026 season Oh, so they had three Two many other in their previously Yes, like this is like But still that's not that great 2016, 2021, 2021, 2022
Starting point is 01:21:27 They should be winning every year They're getting the top prospects No one on the Texas Firefighters Is going on Dancing with the Stars, okay? Well, do you say now? You just never know what could happen in this league. There might be a banana ball player in every season to come now. Is there like a giant pay disparity between the Savannah bananas and these other teams, like the players?
Starting point is 01:21:48 Listen, you're asking questions that I don't know the answer to do, but not know the answer to. I would like to know. I'd like to know how much they're getting paid. I can't imagine that these guys are making a lot of money. They might be soon. But on their own, I'm sure. Why are the bananas so much more famous? I just think they were started first.
Starting point is 01:22:04 They're the pioneers. Yeah. The original brand behind the banana ball. Oh, wait. Is this the guy you're talking about? I told you, yes. Jesse Cole. Okay.
Starting point is 01:22:12 He's been working on this product for 10 years. So he's like, what's Vince McMahon? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Social media. I'm, I'm, I'm, my mind is blown. We're going as the Texas tailgators for Halloween. We should.
Starting point is 01:22:29 We'll each dress up for our favorite player from the banana ball. Can we just like pick another team, not Savannah Binna BonaS and become like the biggest fans of that? Yeah, I just went on a rant about how weird I think it is, but really it's just because No, you said Savannah. You said for the bananas. Just because on the inside, I'm dying to be a humongous fan of one of these teams. I mean, we got to get to one of these games and make it our goal to get an out. We catch a ball.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Yeah, right. I really was. It would be pretty sick to get an out. It is. The local beach coconuts are full of incredible athletes playing the exact same game. They are essentially playing in the house that the Savannah banana is built and beating them at their own game. If the players are happy, I'm very happy for them. Every little boy who dreamed of being a baseball player and a singer just, you know,
Starting point is 01:23:15 or this singer's dancer, they could be on Broadway and be a baseball player. Every chat out there. You can do both. Every chat or Ryan. You can do both. This is like unfair. ESPN, Disney Plus, and national news have historically focused on the bananas. Like, what about the other teams that are winning?
Starting point is 01:23:32 It's because the bananas were first. It doesn't matter. They just have the biggest following, so they get the, they get featured the most. Their PR team, like, is incredible, because I, I really thought they were just... Well, if you think about it, all these, all these other teams are fairly new, so they just don't have the... Imagine... And who knows, maybe there'll be some, maybe they'll be a trade. No.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Maybe they'll trade someone from the bananas to another team. Party animals? Has there ever... And then it's like one of these stars, they bring their star power to another team. Has there ever been a trade? That's, that's a good question. Oh, play. trade's do happen.
Starting point is 01:24:07 Uh-huh. Imagine getting traded off the bananas. I just quit. But then you might be on the winning team. Yeah, yeah. You know, would you rather win or be on the bananas? Oh, my, wait, so the arch rivals are the parney animals. Yes, that's why I keep bringing them up.
Starting point is 01:24:21 A notable past transaction, the Savannah bananas traded. It's like Babe Ruth. Outfield or first basement, Jake Skull, directly to their arts rivals, the party animals. Classic. Oh, they're typically one-year contracts. Interesting. Interesting. So what if, like, Jackson Lewis's dance?
Starting point is 01:24:38 He had sent home this week, they're like, you're off the team. You're going to the party. No, they're very supportive. They're very supportive of each other. They're very, yeah, clearly. After what he said about, Guillermo? Yeah, it's fucked up. All right.
Starting point is 01:24:49 It's all coming together under the Disney umbrella. Like, all these teams are going to be owned by Disney. Exactly. Jesse Cole is going to sell the banana ball league to Disney for like a bajillion dollars. It's going to be insane. Of course. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:06 All right, that wraps up the topics. Let's get into the weekly watch report brought to you by Chase Sapphire Preferred. All right, let's get into the weekly watch where we talk about the things we watch
Starting point is 01:26:13 this week. A weekly watch report on Monday, weekly watch report on Monday weekly watch report on Monday. So right now I'm trying to balance the fact that I started Gilmore Girls while I'm trying to finish how I much her mother. So Gilmore Girls was put on pause this past week while I catch up on how I I match your mother. Now I'm in the middle of season seven of how I met your mother. Yeah, okay. There's nine seasons. There's nine seasons, so I'll be done by Monday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What the fuck happened here? Barney and Robin?
Starting point is 01:26:49 I'm sorry. What? These, well, I didn't know that they had this strong. Listen, I know they had a little thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't know the feelings were that strong between the two of them. Yeah. And I just cannot buy into the fact that Barney really can be like a stamped up guy.
Starting point is 01:27:03 I just don't buy into it. Yeah. So I don't know what's happening here, but like Robin thought that she was pregnant with Barney's kid. She finds out she's not pregnant. It's actually very sad. She finds out she actually just can't have to. It was a very sad episode. Yeah, the last one. She finds out she can't have children. But now I'm like, oh, is trying not to react. Is the person Barney is marrying Robin? I am, listen, I like a good twist, but this really shocked me. So I'm in the middle of episode, season seven. I'm still very much enjoying it, though. Like, I'm not mad about
Starting point is 01:27:34 this. I like a good twist. I'm just kind of like what the fuck's happening. But still an A for me. Still loving how I met your mother, still very much entertained. War on HBO, Dominic West and Sienna Miller, two episodes out, loving it. I've heard positive things. I read the synopsis. I said, oh, this is perfect. To a Hollywood star getting divorced from her high profile husband based in London. Yeah, I'm like, okay, sign me.
Starting point is 01:28:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got to start that. I will give this a B plus. Watch the first two episodes that's on Thursday, at 9 p.m. on HBO. Did you ever watch the... The affair? The affair.
Starting point is 01:28:13 Yes, I did. Loved the affair with Dominic West. He's always playing a cheating bastard in real life and outside. Because remember when he was caught with Lily James on that scooter? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's always a cheating son of a bitch. There's damn scooters. Oh, those damn scooters.
Starting point is 01:28:25 He's always cheating son of a bitch. But I like this and I like now having a show that I can keep up with week to week on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. An HBO show at that. Yeah, right, right. I, in recent months, I've had trouble keeping up with like a new scripted drama. Yeah. But I'm, I feel like that's the summer.
Starting point is 01:28:45 I always, I feel like I find it hard to, I don't know why. But now fall, you know, it's like cozy season of like, you know. Time to get serious. You're looking for a serious scripted television. Summer's for reality. Ha ha ha, giggles, laughs. Exactly. Romance.
Starting point is 01:28:58 Exactly. But I'm, I'm very much enjoying this. I'll give it a B plus. Gilmore Girls, I did watch like maybe three more episodes. Listen, I don't, I'm not obsessed with this. it, but I do enjoy it. Yeah. And maybe I will become more tied to it as I watch. I'm still in the first season. I believe I watched from episodes, because what did I watch? The first six? I mean, I guess I'm up to like episode 14 now.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Yeah. So it may be more than three episodes. I'll give it a B minus still. It's enjoyable just to like have on. and animals. Things start to get better once. I watched that new... Not better, but there's more going on as this season's going on. Yeah, I watched that new Ben Affleck, Carrie Washington.
Starting point is 01:29:45 I heard it's terrible. Movie. Oh. Animals. Yeah. I see them doing all the press for it. I was like pretty engaged, although I was like on my phone also at the same time.
Starting point is 01:29:54 What's on Netflix? It's on Netflix. Matt was definitely more engaged than I was for it. Yeah. And he liked it or didn't like it? He said he was like kind of like me. Like, I mean, he was more engaged. engaged, but I think the ending, I saw other people were confused.
Starting point is 01:30:10 And I was a bit confused. But I will give that a C-plus. I did giggle about Ben Affleck saying that he wanted to cast Jennifer Garner as his wife in a new movie. And she was like, that's probably a bad idea. Yeah, yeah. She was in talks to join the film. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:25 It was this one, right? Yes. Yeah. You're like, yeah, no. And it was like, you know what? Fair, smart. I thought, God, Jen Garner would be amazing for this role. But here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:30:32 I love both Kerry Washington and Ben Affleck. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. That's part of what drew me in. I also laughed at people being like, I love that he has to say Jen Garner because he's been with multiple gens. Right, he has to be very clear
Starting point is 01:30:44 on which Jen he is talking about. Yeah, so I'll give that a C. Oh, Matt's Daymond was originally supposed to start in it, but then he couldn't because of the others. Yeah, yeah. C plus. And I rewatched on the plane obsession and the invite, which I've already graded in the past.
Starting point is 01:31:03 I wanted something to keep me engaged on the flight, which is why I put obsession. like I kind of wanted to feel like I was on the end of my seat. And I played it up until the very end because I thought that would be rude to do to other passengers. That's fair. And you were the other passenger. You were actually sitting next to me.
Starting point is 01:31:23 And that's it. That's all I got. Yeah, because we were obviously away all week, not a lot to watch. I did power ballad, which I hadn't seen. I still hadn't seen it. very much enjoyed it. I would say, probably give it a B.
Starting point is 01:31:47 What do you think about the ending? Like, are you satisfied with that ending? I liked, I thought the ending made sense. I thought the ending was very realistic. Yeah, I thought that they weren't going to do it. I thought that was going to be like, oh, he's a good guy. Like, you know. No, I thought the ending was very realistic and not like overly, like, done.
Starting point is 01:32:10 cheesy, you know, maybe he made some big admission that Paul Rudd was the one who wrote the, you know, like they had some big thing. I feel so like it was just, I actually really liked it. I thought it was very validating for him, for his daughter to find the clip and the whole thing. And I thought it was very sweet. I enjoyed it. Obviously not like too far of a reach of a role for Nick Jonas to be playing. I feel like he was just playing himself. Yeah. Obviously, they used footage of the, of his brothers when they were like he's in a boy band. I saw a clip that he said he's filming a new rom-com. And then he really teased hard who his co-star was.
Starting point is 01:32:47 It was very classic. He was like, it's going to be really. Yeah, it's from the podcast, obviously. He's getting got by the Jona's podcast clips. Who did he tease? No, he was just like, we just locked in our guests. And he's like, let me tell you, it's going to be good. He was like, we just locked in my co-star.
Starting point is 01:33:00 It's going to be good. And then Joe was like, who is he? He's like, can't tell you. And they're like, tell us. He's like, I can't tell you. Damn. So, yeah, but I mean, my God didn't make me think. Any guesses?
Starting point is 01:33:11 The way that he was saying it makes me think it would be. I'm going to say Zoe Deutsch. Oh, that's a good guess. That's a good guess. Lily Reinhardt. That's another good guess. Wow. Those are like rom-com, like attainable.
Starting point is 01:33:25 Well, those are, that's like, you know, very popular right now. But like, like, we're not talking Sidney-Sweeney. I was going to say Sydney, sweetie. She's got, she's got, she's got both off-campus guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She is books. By the way. That's fucking insane.
Starting point is 01:33:41 Like, we're not grasping that enough that Sidney has... She's like, Pokemon, gotta catch them all. Both off-campus guys, she's got... She's watching a show. I want to do movies with both those guys. Yeah, I want both. Yeah, both. Give me both.
Starting point is 01:33:56 I also watched... She was the definition of two bad bitches at the same damn time. I also watched reminders of him. Reminders of him? Yes. On the way home, which was the other Colin Hoover.
Starting point is 01:34:17 What are you looking at me like that for? Because I'm trying to remember. Not the one. You watched regretting you. Yes. Lainey Wilson's in it? I watched Reminders of him. Reminders of him. With him.
Starting point is 01:34:26 Wither was trying to remember if that was the one that I told you to watch. I'm like, is he real or is he AI? Where did this guy come from? Why is he in all these movies? My God, is he? My God. God, is he handsome.
Starting point is 01:34:39 I will actually say that the movie, you know, who is also in this Lauren Graham. Hmm. I will say the performances were pretty, I thought pretty good for a objectively questionable story. You know, it's like. I don't know what the story's about. So, spoiler, it's not really a spoiler.
Starting point is 01:35:05 You can kind of get it in the, She is with Rudy, with Rudy's character. Tyreek Withers is Rudy's best friend. And his name is Ledger. And Ledger and Scotty are best friends. Kenna and Scottie get in a car accident. And she is charged with like vehicular manslaughter. Because I believe they had taken like a, like a.
Starting point is 01:35:31 And then she's faking like, they had taken like an edible or something before. And she technically like fled the scene because she was trying to go for help. the whole story piece itself together but basically at the beginning you find out like she spent years in jail however when she was in jail she did find out she was pregnant and gave birth to Scotty's child
Starting point is 01:35:48 Scotty's parents take the child they don't want to have anything to do with the mom she moves back after getting out to try and have a relationship with her daughter where she meets Ledger her now dead boyfriend's
Starting point is 01:36:05 best friend And they fell in love. Yeah. We were just like, ooh, interesting dynamic there. It's very Colleen Hoover. I thought, like I said, the two of them I thought were pretty good all things considered. Very like, I'd think I'd go see C minus. And I think I read this book at some.
Starting point is 01:36:34 Like there was a stage of my life after I read, I forget what I forget what's the one that opened the floodgates for me It ends with us? Maybe was it ends with us or something else Where I just had like I read Everything Colleen Hoover put out Like every
Starting point is 01:36:54 There were so many of them And I had them all in my Kindle and I just like Flew through them all so fast And I feel like this was definitely one of them I also watched a few episodes of the Great British Breaking Show on the plane Because my God is that It's just a warm hug every single time. I love watching it.
Starting point is 01:37:12 Actually, what was on the plane was the last series, not the one that's currently on, because I think there might be a new one on Netflix right now. But I just love that show. It's just so nice. Very comforting. It really, really is. I came home Friday night and literally turned out,
Starting point is 01:37:31 I opened Peacock and went, yes! Because all the Chicago shows are back. and we were obviously gone when they premiered Wednesday night and I forgot about it and then when I came home I said oh my God so I got to why you went
Starting point is 01:37:46 Med Fire PD that's the order I watched them in I don't know if that's the order they air in but that's the order I watched them in Med Fire PD I think I might want to jump on the turn you could jump on right now and if you have any backstory questions
Starting point is 01:38:02 I can answer that and there's not really that much because it's very current That seems like a show that you could just click. You could absolutely just jump in. I might just... Because it's all different characters. I might just jump onto fire because I was kind of locked in at the nail salon. And Matthew Dodario is on this season of fire.
Starting point is 01:38:20 I texted you. I said, oh my God. And Matthew Didario was at the Verity premiere, apparently, or wherever he was. And we didn't see him. Didn't see him. And you know what? I'm just waiting to run into that guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:32 I'm waiting to run into him. I am waiting for you to run into him, too. Was he at the very look up Verity. He was somewhere we were recently. And somebody messaged me that he was where we were. Really? Like on the carpet? I don't know if we were at Verity or no, or maybe, oh no, maybe he was at Dancing with the Stars.
Starting point is 01:38:53 Oh, I think people said he was at Dancing with the Stars. He was at because, no, but I think he was there the week after us. Because he was there in the crowd with Harry Shum. Oh, he was at Dancing with the Stars. went the week after us. That was the week. Are you sure? That was not the same week? Oh, oh no, it was that week.
Starting point is 01:39:13 It was the same week. That's the outfit he was wearing, right? He wasn't at the Verity premiere. He was at Dancing with the Stars with Harry Shum on the same night. Yeah, because they were on what show together. Yes, it's all coming back to me now. Yes. Somebody messaged and said, yes.
Starting point is 01:39:29 Oh my God. How did we miss him? I don't know. He is a hands of fella. Shadow hunters. Shadow hunters. Yes. on shadow hunters. Yeah, so Chicago
Starting point is 01:39:38 Fire. I think he's a new he's like a new trainee. I'm really happy for him to get into another program. Yeah, yeah. It's been some time. And I can't believe it. I can't believe we didn't see him. Also like where was he sitting? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:39:55 He didn't have a phone row. I know, but we were like really looking around you know. We were and I would hope that I would remember a past friend in person. He would never remember me. I I think he would have you reminded him. Like maybe not seeing,
Starting point is 01:40:08 not seeing you. Because I'm a grown woman now. Exactly. And the last time you were, like, last time he saw him at him was 12. Yeah, exactly. I think if you were like,
Starting point is 01:40:16 hey, that was me in that class, I think he'd be like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right, right, right. Oh, God, I can't believe we missed him. I'm so pissed now. So pretty good premieres all around. Med'll go with the,
Starting point is 01:40:31 Medo go B, fire, B plus, PDC plus PD used to be really top of the game for me but I it's just
Starting point is 01:40:50 falling off a little bit I'm not as invested into these characters as I have in previous seasons fire I mean big situation from the finale to this
Starting point is 01:41:05 I won't I'm actually gonna watch I'm really intrigued now and And same with med. Sharon's fighting for her life out there in med. She runs the D. They want her fired. She can't be fired. The whole place will fall apart without her. And Paxon Hall Yushita's got a little beard going. He looks good.
Starting point is 01:41:24 Oh, good. Growing up. Yep. Yep. Nice. And I watched the first episode of the Kardashians. I put it on Saturday night and I was feeling a little tipsy. so I don't really, I don't really remember watching it. Like, I couldn't tell you everything that happened in the episode, but I did press play on it.
Starting point is 01:41:44 I did too. I watched it last night, and I could tell you exactly what happened. Okay, okay. They had the weirdest intro of all time. Yeah, I did see the AI intro just on social. I saw that. The AI intro was the weirdest shit I've seen in quite some time. Because it was also like, what's the message you're sending here
Starting point is 01:41:58 because you're not using AI, but you're using AI to make this message of not using AI? And then also, it was entirely too long. Yeah, it was really long. And it was creepy. I actually, when I put it on, I fast forwarded through all of it because I watched the whole thing when it was posted on social. It was an extremely boring first episode. Yeah. We had Courtney talking about Jennifer Lawrence, which we talked about last week.
Starting point is 01:42:21 Landon failed his driver's test before he even drove. He just, just the initial tell me where the things are. No, no. Which I didn't even do. I didn't do for, I don't know if you did this, but like they sit in the car. A verbal? is verbal test. And they tell you to point out
Starting point is 01:42:38 where everything is. Like where's the emergency break? Where's that? Like every car is different. I don't know. I didn't do that. We just got on the street and drove. So he failed before he even got on the street and drove.
Starting point is 01:42:48 And then Kim and Chloe, they played a prank on Kim where they put a bunch of stuff from the pleasure section of the hotel into her bag because she was doing a what's in my bag. Then they called and said, they put it on Chris Jenner's. They put it on Chris Jenner's card.
Starting point is 01:43:05 And then Chris Jenner was like, yeah, I obviously get more action than Chloe. Right, right, right, right. Chloe, like a dead person, you would have to be dead to get less action than Chloe does. Yeah. Chloe talking about, you know, her sex life. Yeah. And so it was honestly a very boring first episode in my honest opinion. I've just kind of thought that way about the show.
Starting point is 01:43:24 I will give it a C minus. Okay. And I also want to change animals to a C, not a C plus. But Kardashian gets a C minus for me. To be honest, I really don't think I can grade it because everything that you just said, I don't remember. so I think I fell asleep. I think I must have fallen asleep. Probably.
Starting point is 01:43:40 I mean, it was so boring. I wouldn't blame you for falling asleep. It was incredibly boring. Don't recall. I'm a little behind on Salt Lake City. The last episode I watched was when they were getting to San Francisco for their trip for St. Patrick's Day. And I think I'm a couple episodes behind on Roney as well.
Starting point is 01:44:00 Me too. And I think that's everything I watch. I still haven't finished lanterns. And there's a lot of other. things I got to pick up, but that's everything I watched this week. I literally have one thing. I didn't watch anything. I spent the whole week like re-evaluating
Starting point is 01:44:13 my life. Right, right, right. But I watched this, the first two episodes of this new show on Netflix with Josh Harnett. Yes. Oh, below. Yeah. Which, honestly, the first two, I was locked in. I was like, this is good. Is the whole season
Starting point is 01:44:29 out or is it just? The whole season's out. And I mean, there's some good actors. we got Charlie Eden from Stranger Things and Mackenzie Davis is good and Josh Arnett's good honestly the the accent threw me off like when oh what kind of accent is I would say like I want to say I might be wrong but it's definitely like Irish or Scottish or like one of those but it was like jarring it for me so I was like whoa um but yeah I'm locked in it's like it got a little widows bay in there yeah in it but uh yeah it was just so mad at himself you like put himself in time out.
Starting point is 01:45:05 You're not watching TV. He's like you're not allowed to watch any TV until you sell all these tickets. You know I got what that's like when you can't stop thinking about something you can't focus. No, I can't like enjoy other stuff. Yeah. No, I got it. And even this weekend I'm like I was home on the Cape and I'm sure that my parents are like I was on my phone because I'm just like I'm messaging all these people. I got all these authors. Could not think about one other thing. Hey, it is your birthday week though. Your birthday is on Thursday. Yeah. Yeah. It is. Big plans. Can you believe it? Yeah. Any. Any. I mean, how could you possibly top 30?
Starting point is 01:45:37 No, no, I mean, after 30, I literally was like, to be honest, every birthday probably, you know, what's ever going to come close to 30 for you? It's all downhill from 30. And I feel like people always say that anyway. It's like you hit the big ones like eight, or well, for myself being Jewish. It's like 13. I mean, I guess 15 would be like a big one. 16 is big for everyone.
Starting point is 01:45:55 You get to drive. Then 18. 20 or in your 20 is 21. Then it's like, after that it's like 30. And then it's just every decade. Yeah. So it's all downhill. Hey, no.
Starting point is 01:46:07 I'm not a big, I've never been a big birthday guy. Saying you're not a big birthday guy compared to last year. Compared to what we did last year. No, I know what you mean, but it's just like a hilarious juxtaposition. I'm not a big birthday guy. And then we just show every time we celebrate your birthday last year. It's just funny. But you're not.
Starting point is 01:46:27 We had a sign. You actually kept that up the entire year. I still have a birthday. It was your entire personality for a year. Yeah, yeah, which is why last year, I think we had gotten, yeah, we got back like today or yesterday. Yeah. So I had a few days where I was literally like, I mean, that was it. Like, I'm not celebrating my birthday.
Starting point is 01:46:45 This year, like, you know. Go to dinner. We'll go to dinner on Thursday. Maybe do some stuff for the weekend, but like I'm not, not that guy. Yeah, I'm not that guy. There's no list. I'm not celebrating a list. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:59 John Mayer's birthday's on Friday, so I will celebrate both. And thank God that I got this ticket situation figured out because that would have ruined John's birthday for you. It would have ruined all, like, my weekend. It would have ruined your birthday and John's birthday. This is last year and his 40s, John, 49. Holy shit. Why do you say it like that?
Starting point is 01:47:21 Last year and his 40s. Yeah, the big 5-0 next year. All right, that wraps up everything we watched this week. I don't know if I gave my grade. Oh, did you give a grade? I'll give it a B-minus right now. Nice. Solid. I thought about watching it. You should. All right. That wraps up everything we watch this week.
Starting point is 01:47:41 That wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. Thank you so much for watching and listening. We love you guys so very much. And we'll talk to you on Wednesday. Yeah, chicks in the office. Longtime listener. First time caller. Look at the charts. Who does it the best. Two chicks getting paid in reality checks. You can find them at the gym. It's not even a flex. Last minute. carpet flew him out on the jet. Yeah, they're who you want to be. They're always on your screen. Two queens and they might be spilling royalty. A lot of topics that are popping here to get into. I know a show that you probably want to listen to. Who turn the heat up, turn the beat up, record the pod, made a bag, put their feet up. The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up. Who's the pod that they all want to meet up? Who turned the heat up? Turn the
Starting point is 01:48:31 beat up. Record the pie, made a bag, put their feet up. The ones that leave no crumbs. when they clean up who's the pod that they all want to meet up
