Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Woo! It doesn't ever get old saying that. It feels good.
Starting point is 00:00:32 It feels so good. Yeah, it feels good every single time that we say that. It's Friday, everybody. Get your weekend pants on. Isn't it so sad that still when I hear that it's like Rebecca Black plays in my head? Like it's like when will I ever get to an age where that doesn't happen? No. It's not sad, Fran.
Starting point is 00:00:53 It's important. We should be singing that every Friday in memory of Rebecca Black because what happened to her after that song came out? That's her one hit wonder. So we need to respect it. And what we also need to respect is macy's.com, our favorite place to shop. the episode on Wednesday had me cracking up thinking about this sweater. I can't wait to wear this sweater. I think on December 1st, it's a Tuesday, and it's also The Bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:01:21 I think I'm going to wear the Christmas sweater because it turns December all of a sudden. It's go time. It's Christmas, baby. So I think I'm going to wear that. And if you want to shop it, go to macy's.com slash chicks in the office. And you will be able to shop my blue sweater, everything that, bought everything that I bought and there is Black Friday access until Sunday the 15th so you're going to want to get on that Macy's dot com slash Black Friday get that early access get to Black Friday
Starting point is 00:01:51 sales before everybody else does because it's it's important guys holiday shopping shopping for yourself whatever it is go to Macy's dot com and get yourself something nice like a blue Christmas sweater that's being modeled by an older woman by a 70-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman bought it because she wants to be festive this year. I will say it looks super cozy. I hope you bought like it in a big size. I haven't yet took it out of the packaging to fully like see the size. I did try to go big. I know I like things bigger. So I probably did get a bigger fit. I also think that some ugly clothing is cute. Like sometimes something ugly is stylish to me because someone's got to wear it, right? And I am under the impression.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Is this, is this, this kind of circles back to our conversation about feeling bad for inanimate objects. Like you, like, it's like, oh, who's going to buy that sweater? I will. Yes, Fran, I straight up bought the ugliest sweater the other day. If I showed it to you, you would puke. But I'm going to wear it because I saw it and I was like, that's ugly but cute. It has like, just, like, just. giant fruit on it. I can't even, I can't even explain it to you. I'm actually going to pull up a picture of it right now because now I'm talking about it. And I'll post it tomorrow on my story so that everybody can see what I'm talking about because I know everyone's going to want to know what I'm talking about. But yeah, I think that sometimes something ugly clothing wise can actually be cute if you can pull it off. And I'm on the question that me and you can pull off anything. Definitely. Well, yeah, duh. But this stem. from our conversation. We were eating Sour Patch Kids when we were watching The Bachelorette,
Starting point is 00:03:43 and we started talking about how, which flavors are our favorite, which colors are our favorite. And like Ria was saying, you know, I throw an orange every once in a while because I feel bad because no one eats the orange ones.
Starting point is 00:03:54 And then which turned into sometimes you feel bad for inanimate objects for absolutely no reason. That was like when, I mean, this is a tree is a living thing. But I always go back to one year my dad came home with the ugliest, Christmas trees. Like we got he he came on with two which was like what like he was like well one can go like in
Starting point is 00:04:17 the kitchen and one can be our normal tree. And I was like okay. And it was only and one was one was really tall and skinny. No, but they were two beautiful trees. Okay. But they were two like one was really tall and skinny and like that was losing all of its bristles. And like the and then the other one was short and fat and like a bomb. It was like round. Aw, the odd trees out. Yeah, he was like, I just saw these ones. Like, no one's going to buy.
Starting point is 00:04:47 No one's going to buy these ones. I just felt bad for them. So these are our trees this year. You know what? That's called empathy. And something me and your father have a lot in common. Yeah. I don't know why I just said that.
Starting point is 00:05:00 But look at this sweater. Oh, oh, Ria. I can't wait to wear it. That is so much worse that I thought it was. going to be yeah it's uh it's ugly it is it's bright it's bold it's bold it's it's ugly and i'm going to wear it and i feel good about it and i can't wait i can't maybe i'll put it on on friday as a comfy cozy sweater on my couch post some pictures in it so people know know what i'm talking about uh friend how are you doing on this lovely thursday afternoon um
Starting point is 00:05:36 i'm good it's a little gloomy i feel like sometimes when it's a gloomy day it matches you the day becomes gloomy as a whole but feel pretty good this was a really long week like i i keep thinking today's where i mean obviously you guys are listening it's friday but we're recording on thursday and i and i keep thinking today is friday but it's not yeah it definitely feels longer i have some motivation for everybody it's not me rapping again please don't worry don't shut it off it was actually something that i've been thinking about this past week week. And so a little Thursday motivation, a little end of the week motivation. I have been watching more and more popular creators, like YouTube videos. And by popular creator, I mean like Emma Chamberlain
Starting point is 00:06:26 and James Charles and those type of people that you hear about often, but you may not necessarily watch their videos or someone like James Charles. I feel like I prejudged like when we would talk about his scandal with Tofti Westbrook or just him in the past, I feel like I would say I hate him before, I didn't even know him. You know what I mean? Like I was judging him just because I thought he was like a clout chaser, YouTuber person who got into drama with Todd. Like I didn't understand it. You know what I mean? I didn't understand exactly what he did. And kind of the same, not this, I didn't necessarily say I hated Emma Chamberlain, but I just didn't understand. Like I, I I didn't understand. And I feel like a lot of people, when somebody gets really popular, all of a sudden, people hate on them. We see it with the TikTokers all the time. You know, people hate on the Dimmilios, but they're harmless, harmless girls who are just dancing on TikTok, having fun, but people will rip them apart because they're popular. And I think, for my motivation, I think that people should give popular creators a chance. And obviously that sounds stupid because you're like, Rhea, you're saying popular creator, give them the chance. They have millions of followers. They have millions of followers.
Starting point is 00:07:37 But what I mean by that is like, take a breath and take a moment before you judge them before you've even watched their YouTube videos. Because I will say, I feel like a dick that I used to judge James Charles because I went back and binged all of his videos. And I love him. I think he's great. I think he's entertaining. I think he's super nice. I think he's really funny. And I'm like, why did I judge him before I even watched his videos?
Starting point is 00:08:06 And listen, if you watch him. watch his videos and then you're like, yeah, I still hate him. Completely fine. You gave him a chance. That's fair. You don't like his videos. Sure enough. But I think that people need to give someone a chance before you hate on them. I also love Emma Chamberlain now. I'm like an Emma Chamberlain stand and I'm like five years too late. But I binge all her videos as well. And I was like, wow, I really like her. She's really, really funny. You know, why didn't I ever give these people a shot? And like I said, it sounds stupid because obviously, you know, support small creators as well, support everybody.
Starting point is 00:08:41 Give them a chance before you start judging them. So that's my motivation. That's nice. That is very nice. I have never watched any of their videos. Exactly. But you can understand that we've judged them before. James Charles,
Starting point is 00:08:56 James Charles absolutely solely based on the drama that was happening. Emma Chamberlain, I have had no feelings about because I don't know any, I didn't, I don't know anything about her, really. So I've never had an opinion because I just don't know anything about her. But yeah, yeah, but that's what that's, that's, it's a very good point that you're making. Yeah, those are the two that pop into my head because I have been watching their videos more recently. But that goes for, you know, anybody. Like it just is like, give it a chance before you automatically say, because I'm sure people are listening to this right now.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And they're like, oh, shut up, Ria. Like, they're the worst. but have you watched their videos? Because if you haven't watched their videos. Do people really not, I've never heard anyone be like, I don't like Emma Chamberlain. Not necessarily Emma Chamberlain because people really do like her, but I have her, like, people in directly in my own life have said to me, like, oh, Emma Chamberlain, you know, she tries to be quirky.
Starting point is 00:09:57 And I was like, what are you, and then I went back and watched all her videos. And I was like, she doesn't try to be corky. She just is. Like people, she was the blueprint. People copied her humor. Before that was, you know, quote unquote, like TikTok humor or quirky weird humor. You know what I mean? So it's not necessarily like shitting on her and being like, I hate her, but more so being like, oh, she tries to be a certain way.
Starting point is 00:10:18 When if you go back to her videos from the beginning, she was always this way. So I think it's more just give people a chance. Give people a freaking chance on this lovely Friday. That's the Friday energy tip of the week. That's very nice. Yep. Just throwing that out there. Go watch some YouTube videos this weekend.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Yeah. Honestly, it's like so much fun. I'm like so late to watching YouTube videos. Oh, by the way. I know. I really like rarely do it just because I watch way more television. Like I, that's really, I'm more into my programs and the fictional world. In reality world, obviously.
Starting point is 00:11:00 But I finished all of Summerhouse. Not all of Summerhouse, but I finished three and four. Let's go. Now we're on the same page. So what's up next for us? Finish the whole thing. I'm definitely going to start Salt Lake City. I know that it's new Real Housewives that it just came out. I didn't watch it live, so I'm waiting for it to come onto the Bravo app. It's not on there yet. So I'm definitely watching that this weekend. And I still have to finish New Jersey because I took a break to go watch Summer House and now I got to go back and finish. Fair enough. Fair enough. What would you?
Starting point is 00:11:34 rate Summerhouse scale of one to ten? I really enjoyed the fourth season. I think it's been getting better and better. Now, we just watched three and four. I didn't watch one and two. But as far as like Bravo TV shows go, it's like a solid like seven, two. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:12:00 I would give it an eight four. Like I really enjoyed it. but like I it's hard because Summerhouse I feel like has potential to be on the up and up you know um like vanderpump rules is just by far like just such a good show but now like van der pump rules I feel like is on the decline so it's um going to be going to be interesting to see and it's going to be interesting to see how they do another season because obviously they filmed already but it was quarantine so like they could couldn't necessarily go out or have parties and such. I'm sure they found a way to still have their drama, but it's a different kind of drama. Well, it's going to be drama of them being stuck in a house. That may be even juicer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:46 It's like Survivor is going to say it's like more Big Brother. Like they're just stuck in a house. Yeah. Not Survivor. Definitely a Big Brother, not Survivor. They're not on the wilderness. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Big Brother definitely makes more sense. But I'm sure the next season will still be good. Like I said, Hannah and Paige will be coming on eventually. Yeah. And I'll be really, really exciting. But we're moving on to more Bravo shows. Solid Lake City up next. Really excited about it.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Definitely. I'm very excited to start Salt Lake City. Oh, and I'm not done with yet. Two episodes left of Queens Gambit. Fantastic show. Fantastic. I know we can't really talk about the whole thing because I, like I said, I haven't finished it yet.
Starting point is 00:13:26 But very solid. Very solid. It is super solid. Now, we talked about this on the podcast a few episodes ago. And somebody messaged me and said, Queen's Gambit is a four out of ten so far. Oh, my gosh. It honestly pissed me the fuck off.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Like, like, no other. Like, I was like, her. Like, honestly, it was like, I'm about to turn into a werewolf right now. Like, I was really getting angry. And she said that she only watched the first episode. And I was like, okay, first of all, the first episode is really good. It's not a four out of ten. And I responded, I was like, so good.
Starting point is 00:14:06 I was like, it's a 10 out of 10 show. And then she said, well, you know, you got to admit or something like Outer Banks is better. And I was like, honestly, I'm, listen, I don't even know it joins in. I was like, you know, I'm the biggest hype beast for Outer Banks. Outer Banks is a bad good show. Queen's Gambit is a very, very good show with really great writing and acting. And I was like, they are not. If we're putting our critics hat on, like, yes, Outer Banks, we fucking love it and adore it for exactly what it is.
Starting point is 00:14:38 But like the Queen's Gambit is an award-winning show. Exactly. The writing, the acting, the directing. Like that show will win Emmys. Exactly. Everything got Queen's like, oh, I like, like, Drake and Josh more. It's like, they're just different. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:14:56 It's like, yeah, Drake and Josh and Game of Thrones. You're going to be like, um, you know, you enjoy Drake and Josh. but Game of Thrones better show. Besides, right, like what I rather throw on... Right. Would I rather throw on an episode of Drake and Josh most of the time over like a random episode of Game of Thrones? Probably.
Starting point is 00:15:16 But like, you know, it's, it's very different. That's hard to compare it because people do lump it into like, let's compare all Netflix shows to each other. But you just can't do it. It's like, it's comparing, Emily in Paris with these other shows. Glad you pronounce it the way Netflix said. And by the way,
Starting point is 00:15:36 Netflix can truly suck it. I'm sorry because they're going to throw that out on Twitter and say that we're all supposed to be saying Emily and Paris when we talk about this show. Come on. Come on. And I think it's supposed to be Amelie in Paris. Not even Emily. Like, well, it's got to be Emily in Paris.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Yeah, I'm very confused. Emily in Patty? Yeah. Netflix should have thrown out maybe in the intro of the show, maybe when the show first came out, not when we've all finished and they've already announced a second season. It's Emily and Paris at this point. It's Emily and Paris. I understand that if you were to just go full French accent and say, Emily in Paris, then okay, but we're not French. Yeah. You make it sound good, though, so maybe you should
Starting point is 00:16:22 say. I know, but how annoying would it be to do that every single time you mention the title of the show? Because we are American. It would probably not sound great every time we did it because we don't have that great accent. Doesn't roll off the tongue for us. You're like talking to somebody about the show and you're like, oh, what Netflix shows are you watching? Like, oh, Queen's Gambit, great. Oh, Outer Banks. Oh, if you wish Emily in Paris.
Starting point is 00:16:46 It just doesn't fit. It just, no. It just doesn't fit. It does. It does not. It does not. Oh, I do want to give, I've been quickly very vocal over this society. I've been giving Netflix some shit back about
Starting point is 00:17:03 renewing all these shows and we're still not getting the society. Little shout out to the society world who we're trying to fight for this show. Save dash the dashsociety.com is a thing that exists. You should all go check it out because we've got to join the fight to save the society. Because we are saving the society which deserved a season two. Catherine Newton's character, deserve justice. The way they ended that is despicable. I don't want to get
Starting point is 00:17:30 into it again because we're both going to get angry. It gets me so upset every time. She did not deserve that. She was fighting for her sister and they fucking, it's just, and I don't like the, I don't like the answer for it. You know, all their schedules are too hard to, it's too big of a cast and with COVID, like, Umbrella Academy, which I, you know, I have heard amazing things about. There, they, I, it got renewed for a third season. That's a big cast. Like, it's a big cast. You're saying that they can't do that for the society. It doesn't make any sense. No, it doesn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:18:04 But you know what, Fran, I think it's time to get into today's topics for the show. We got some good topics, a lot of hot tea going on, honestly. Starting off with Larsa Pippen, who gives the details on why she's not friends with the Kardashians anymore. And other personal details about relationships she had with Tristan Thompson. Whole big thing. We'll get into that. Kazi David released a new book or is releasing a new book called No One Asked for This. And she details what happened between the.
Starting point is 00:18:30 breakup between her and Pete Davidson. Britney Spears' dad is not going to be taken off the conservatorship, and we're going to dive into that. We have details about Carl Lentz's affair and who the alleged woman is and what went on throughout this entire summer. We also have a Tasha TikTok about what's going to happen this season. It is not about Tasha. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Listen, if you don't want to know what happens this season at all, don't watch it. But if you don't care about what happens, then watch it. It's not, it doesn't spoil who wins or who goes home or anything to do like that. Right. But it is a detail. It is a, it feels like a big detail. I will not downplay it because I, I do know it now, but I'm pissed that I know it. So really, I'm not that pissed that I know it.
Starting point is 00:19:19 But, you know it. Make, make up your own mind. If you don't care about knowing like something that happens, but it doesn't ruin the season, but it doesn't have to do with the guys there, then. listen to what we have to say. And the weekend will be performing at the Super Bowl. So let's get into it, starting off with Larsa Pippen. Larsa Pippen gave a tell-all interview to Hollywood Raw, where she gave the details about why she is no longer friends with the Kardashians.
Starting point is 00:20:11 And what had happened between her and Tristan Thompson before he was dating Chloe? Apparently, Larsa had been dating or talking to Tristan before Chloe. she invited him out to L.A., brought him to a party. That's where he met the Kardashians. And then a week to 10 days later, he was dating Tristan Thompson. And Larsa will tell you, oh, I don't care. I don't care about it. But you can tell that she cares.
Starting point is 00:20:34 It's one of those, oh, I'm fine. I'm laughing situations. And apparently she's no longer friends with the Kardashians because she says Kanye West got in their ears about Larsa, said she was toxic, you know, didn't want her on their Instagram feed, got in their ears about it. And she also said that one night she was out and Travis Scott was there. And Travis Scott called Kylie up to say Larsa Pippen was hitting on him. And Larsa claims that she wasn't hitting on Travis Scott.
Starting point is 00:21:06 And you know what? I don't believe Larsa Pippen for a second. I believe that, yes, she did hit on Travis Scott because do you really think Travis Scott cares about women hitting on him? No. But when it's a friend of the family and he saw what happened with Jordan Woods and Tristan Thompson, and he's calling up Kylie right away to be like, hey, Larsa's hitting on me. So I don't believe she wasn't hitting on Travis.
Starting point is 00:21:28 And yeah, I think she's toxic. I think she's toxic energy. Larsa hitched her wagon to their Kardashians. And now that she has been unhitched, she's got a lot to say. You know, it's like she, I don't know. I feel like she very much wants to stay in the spotlight. she wants to keep her name out there she's blabbing about things that the Kardashians would not want her blabbing about it's very like oh like Larsa Larsa Larsa but in like the Marsha like Brady bunch like
Starting point is 00:22:03 Marcia Marcia Marcia like Larsa Larsa what are you doing I it's and she's it was almost so weird because she was trying to go into such extreme detail like it it to make it all feel more legitimate, you know, by like going into all this detail. She said that Kanye used to call her at four, five, six o'clock in the morning. She said, I was the person that would take his calls when he wanted to rant. I would listen to him. But when Larsa decided to stop taking his calls, she claimed, obviously that really upset him. So we turned that into, oh, she's this and she's that. The Kardashians all started to ride his wave. But was I heard by it? Yes. But at the same time, I'm like, I've done nothing. I've been.
Starting point is 00:22:49 the most honest and truthful best friend to all of them. Kanye has literally brainwashed the whole family into thinking, I don't even know what. Like, it, it just feels like such, um, bullshit to be completely honest.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Snake ass ho. There's just some, there's some bullshit spewing from her mouth. Uh, sources have said to E, you know, the decision from the Kardashians to kind of get rid of Larsa was because they caught her talking behind their backs and,
Starting point is 00:23:19 was all just too much. And another source added that Kim has a soft spot for Larsa because they have been through a lot together. But they just don't have that relationship anymore because she is toxic energy. And the family is very protective over one other. And they can't really trust Larsa with any of this information now, which is not shocking at all because here she is giving this interview where she's diving into all of these things that just like don't need to be said.
Starting point is 00:23:45 like why stir the pot with Tristan and Chloe right now who seem like they're in a good place and are trying to rebuild their relationship? Then you got Larsa coming in being like, oh, I actually dated Tristan before and was the one who introduced them. Like it's just the timing is all so suss to just be jumping in now when they seem like, you know, they're trying to do the right thing for their family and what figure it all out. and Larsa's like whispering about Tristan still. It's like they've moved on, you moved on.
Starting point is 00:24:19 You know, there was rumors that Jordan Woods had like posted some quote on her Instagram that people thought was in response to Larsa talking about Tristan also. So I don't know. It was just people have their opinions about Tristan, but clearly, Chloe, they're trying to make it work. And Larsa, like, is just blabin. Blabin, blabin, blabin, blabin. Listen, she's a snake-ass hoe.
Starting point is 00:24:40 And I'm not calling her a hoe because I don't care about that. she could bang whoever she wants. Like I, you know, fully support that. A snake-ass ho is different. That means you can't be trusted. That means you're a snake in the grass. That means you're spilling Kardashian tea to the world that you probably shouldn't because you were once really good friends with them.
Starting point is 00:24:59 And now you're just mad that you've been excommunicated. Once you get kicked out of the group, you're kicked out of the group. And that's the way it goes. You've got to show your loyalty. You can't be toxic energy, one might say. And you could say, oh, you know, the Kardashians, they go through friends, it, whatever. Yeah, they're going to go through friends fast when they're the fucking Kardashians and you can't trust people. Like, the thing with Larsa was that you can kind of
Starting point is 00:25:24 see through her little games for, for years now. I feel like you can see the kind of person Larsa Pippin is. She wants fame. She wants money. She wants to be friends with celebrities. She was fucking out with Harry Jousey or whatever his name is from too out to handle. Like, yeah. What are you doing, Larsa? Like, what is, what is? You know what I mean? Like you're just grabbing it. Anything here. Now she's doing a tell all interview with Hollywood Raw. Like, why don't you just, you'd probably be better off if you didn't say anything, lived your life. You have everything that you could possibly be to be self-sufficient in
Starting point is 00:26:00 your life, right? Like she's got money. She's got her kids. She, if you just go live your life, you're probably going to be happy, Larsa. But now you start talking about the Kardashians. It's probably not going to be good behind the scenes. Chris Jenner's going to step in. And she's addicted to the fame. She's going to kick your ass. You're talking about you and Tristan Thompson, which was now we're talking years back.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Because if Larza really cared that much, when she had said it years ago, because, yeah, you could say she's saying she doesn't care. She cares. Why would she bring it up? She is saying, you know, it's just weird. She's trying to, like, prove that she's done so much for them. Right. Exactly. And I just think it's weird because she did go so hard at Jordan Woods when he, when she hooked up with Tristan Thompson, was it because she was jealous? Did she want to be the one to hook up with Tristan Thompson again? Like, honestly, it knows. But I don't think that she can be trusted. And honestly, I'm kind of glad they're not friends with her anymore. Like I, I, we always got those vibes from her watching episodes that she was in of keeping up with Kardashians. It was like, clearly.
Starting point is 00:27:11 you are trying to to insert yourself in in the drama, like make sure that you are a part of these episodes and like get your airtime. Yeah. And that wasn't going to happen. Yeah. Right. And usually I would want to support her. Like if you're not friends with the card, Jordan Woods, now we're like, we hope
Starting point is 00:27:36 Jordan Woods is doing fantastic, living her life, having a boyfriend, being happy. I support her fully. I can't fully give my support to Larissa Pippen because I don't trust her. I get bad vibes. And when I get bad vibes, I feel them strong. And I get bad vibes from Larsa Pippen. Big time. She was on an episode of Selling Sunset acting like she was going to buy the house.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah, okay. You just wanted to get on an episode of selling sunset. Yep. Yep. Exactly. That's really, that really sums it up perfectly. It's Friday, which means I am getting my Friday energy from Monster Energy Ultra, our favorite energy drink. You guys know this by now. We've been talking about
Starting point is 00:28:42 them for a solid year because we absolutely love Monster Energy. They give us that energy we need without all that bad stuff that usually goes into energy drinks. It's zero sugar, low calories, and it tastes amazing. My personal favorite is the Ultra Violet. Tastes like a purple pixie stick. You guys know that, but they also have the Ultra Rosa and the Ultra Fiesta. Both of those flavors are really, really great as well. Ultra Rosa, it has, um, it takes, It's almost like a pink starburst flavor. I like comparing it to candy because I love something that tastes like candy, but doesn't give you that sugar like candy does.
Starting point is 00:29:15 It gives you energy instead and good energy to get you through the day. The Ultra Fiesta is a smooth mango flavor, and it's really refreshing if you're trying to get into those tropical vibes. I know it's almost, you know, we're heading towards the cold months, but if you want to get back into that summer vibe, pick up an Ultra Fiesta. And they also have tons of flavors besides those two in the ultraviolet. They have the Ultra Zero, which is the white can paradise. sunrise, red, blue. And like I said, they really, really do taste amazing. I'm not just saying that.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I really love the way that this energy drink tastes. And if you're looking for an energy drink in your life to give you that extra boost on days that you're feeling sluggish, Monster Energy Ultra is the way to go. Cassie David is releasing a new book about her life called No One Asked for this. And she's giving details about her relationship with her dad, Larry David, which is very interesting. And she's also talking about her breakup with Pete Davidson that happened right before he started dating Ariana Grande, literally right before. I think it was a matter of days. And she was a complete mess.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Yeah. It's interesting seeing this now because, Ria, like, I remember us talking so much about this when it happened and just being like, what is Kazi feeling? What is what is going on with Kazi? because we she went dark like we didn't really see anything from her um she she wasn't really on social she went on that trip so it is very interesting to read now and it feels like she you know she had said it was such an emotional process writing this but that's what happens when you write a book about your life and people can say like criticize her for including that in the book but
Starting point is 00:31:04 that's a huge moment in her life. That's something that has defined her, like who she is in her love life for for so long that like it's something you can't just not write about. So she obviously included what went down. And it was just a little crazy to see that she had, you know, initially broken up with him, had regretted that, reached out to him again to try and reconcile and he was like, I'm good. I'm the happiest I've ever been. And then it was only like a few days later that he was dating Ariana Grande. So it's just an absolute world one. And we knew that it was we knew like it was a short amount of time, but it was such a short amount of time. Right. And I mean, anybody's ex moving on with Ariana Grande, of course you're going to be a total mess. How,
Starting point is 00:31:58 how does somebody deal with that? How do you even expect that? That is not even something you can prepare for. You break up with somebody and you're like, they're going to date Ariana Grande. Nope, you do not prepare for that sort of thing. And it was funny because she included something about Larry David. She said that they were on her way to her sister's college graduation. And she was just shaking uncontrollably on the plane. She got to their hotel room. She was just hitting the weed pen in the bathroom the whole time.
Starting point is 00:32:25 And then she was sleeping and started screaming in her sleep. And Larry David shook her and said, come on, Kazi, our ancestors survived the Holocaust, which is just a classic, I think, thing for Larry David to say. Like, I really would expect Larry David to say something to that extent. Like, not, ah, Kazi. You know, it's okay. It's okay, baby, sweetheart. We're going to get through this.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Breakups happened. He's like, no, our people survive the Holocaust. You're going to be okay. Yeah, that sounds like something that's straight out of curb. Like, it's a joke that he would make to anyone. And, you know, is like you said, it's a very Larry David moment. I'm excited to read the book because I just feel like she is hilarious and the book will be hilarious. And just hearing about Larry David being your dad is got to be entertaining.
Starting point is 00:33:23 And you get moments like that where you're crying over your ex who's now dating an A-List megastar. And Larry David's like, hey, it could be worse. I read something that was funny. Larry David talking about him and Kazi and the differences and also how they're the same. And he said that he has said to Kazi like, I'm definitely crazier because you can smoke weed and be fine. And that's like your thing that helps you. But for me, if I smoke weed, I'm crazy. I get anxiety.
Starting point is 00:33:52 I can't do it. So I'm crazier. And then he was like, but then Kazi told me that when she's alone, she's too embarrassed to sing alone. And he was like, and then I thought maybe she's a little crazy. So just hearing their relationship, it must be awesome to have him as a dad. Even if you watch Kirby Enthusiasm and you think, you know, Larry David, and he probably is similar to his show, he probably is a good dad. You know, somebody who gives you comedic relief, but also makes you feel comfortable because he's crazy in his own way. Like, that's just awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:22 And I'm really excited to read this book. And I love the cover of it. It's like a painting, drawing of her mirror selfie with like a, uh, uh, a, uh, a, uh, a, uh, a, uh, a, an arrow through her chest. Just really, really cool. And I'm really excited to read it. Yeah. And I also loved this quote that I saw as well that she was talking when she was talking about this because this also really sums it up so well of what goes through your mind when your ex starts dating Ariana Grande. She had said that it was hard to stop the footage playing in her mind of Pete and Ariana, quote, immediately falling in love, accompanied by audio of her baby voluble. She had said, um, that it was hard to stop, stop the footage,
Starting point is 00:35:02 whispering sweet nothings in his ear, dubbed over his past declarations of his love and trust to me. Like, just like slaying in bed, like thinking about all the wonderful things that you two have said about each other, but now you imagine Ariana's baby voice. And she has such a great voice that I was like, damn it, Ariana Grande's voice. But she did say that her and Peter are friends now. She loves Pete. And honestly, I think just knowing about Pete Davidson's life and him figure, out that he had borderline personality disorder gives a little bit more insight into the situation
Starting point is 00:35:39 as to what happened because she did say that it was hard to convince Pete that she like really loved him. And that is something that you see with people with borderline personality disorder. So just knowing more about Pete Davidson, you understand the situation more. There's hopefully no hard feelings. And I'm glad that she said that they're still friends. Yeah, exactly. It was nice that she included, you know, after. Pete and Ariana broken up that they were able to reconnect because like you said in the
Starting point is 00:36:07 acknowledgments of the book she wrote Pete I love you your bravery inspires me and your friendship means the world to me which is beautiful because I love that they're friends and I think that's so great but like deep down I'm also like those two are just meant for each other right I see them like they're the perfect couple but obviously they're so meant for each other but yeah if they're better off his friends absolutely understandable. If they're better off his friends and they think they're better off that way, then let it be.
Starting point is 00:36:37 And I understand, you know, that's a hard thing to get past to like be able to be in a relationship again. Like I understand how you can build up to being friends again, but building back to like actually be in a relationship again could be close to impossible. Exactly. We have a free Brittany update and guys, it's not good. It's not good because Jamie.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Spears is still involved. The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny declined to suspend James Spear from his central, from his central role in the court conservatorship that has controlled his daughter's life and career for 12 years as Britney Spears attorney Samuel D. Inham requested at the contentious hearing, I'm reading this from the AP. The judge said she would consider future petitions for his suspension or outright removal,
Starting point is 00:37:55 which Brittany's lawyer does plan to. file. Her lawyer said to the judge, my client has informed me that she is afraid of her father. She will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career. Free Britney. I know we were hesitant. sucks. I know we were hesitant at first for the free Britney movement because we're like, oh, you know, is she okay? Is she not okay? She's not okay. Britney Spears is not okay. Her dad is controlling her life. You can clearly see that. You can see it from her Instagram. And she said, that she'll never perform again if her dad's involved. And that's really scary. Britney Spears is such a talented, talented woman. And the fact that she has to deal with her father controlling her life,
Starting point is 00:38:42 basically is a really, really sad situation. It's incredibly sad to see this woman 38 years old, not be able to have her freedom, not be able to do anything, not under her dad's control. I just, I really don't get it. Like I, I, I get the money side of it, but what is, and I know, I know that there was the breakdown. And I, and I understand that years ago and, and why at that time, this was this, right, the step that they needed to take. But if her money is being controlled by as someone she trusts, I don't really understand why her dad still needs to be
Starting point is 00:39:29 involved. Like, if that's the one piece that is causing all of the problems. But I guess, so James Spears' attorney defended what she said was his perfect record in his run as her conservator, which has seen her
Starting point is 00:39:45 net worth go from in debt to well over $60 million. Like, okay, she was still doing all the work. was still putting out music and touring and doing all of those things. They also listed that he had hired a competent business manager. Like, okay, congrats. Like, I don't really see how any of this stuff lines up with why he still deserves to be
Starting point is 00:40:07 involved this much when Brittany doesn't want him involved. His lawyer argued that the disruption caused by his removal would do her the very harm the suspension is meant to prevent. And then her, his lawyer also objected. to Brittany's lawyer's statements about the father-daughter relationship as inadmissible hearsay, which how is Brittany's opinion hearsay in all of this? This is her own life. It's really sad. And you brought up the debt thing. I said it on the group chat today. Like, I don't care that they say her dad helped her out of debt because it was
Starting point is 00:40:43 Britney Spears who helped herself because she's Britney Spears. She's the one making money. Her dad is not Britney Spears. Like, the name Britney Spears is it makes money in seconds. So that is her life. That's her as a person. I feel like they need to separate the name Britney Spears and her as a human being and realize that this is one person, right? Britney Spears is a human being. I feel like they take the name and it's such a famous, iconic name and they run with it and they forget that there's a human being behind that name. And she's clearly struggling. And she's stuck under her dad's control. She's 38 years. 38 years old, you brought up the breakdown. Yeah, the breakdown, it happened, right? It happened years and years ago, right? Almost, what is it, 13 years ago at this point? Was it 2007? She deserves a fair shot. Like, you don't, you don't have a breakdown and then don't get another shot, I feel like. Or, right, the way the judge spoke about it was that this could last forever.
Starting point is 00:41:48 Yeah, like, maybe she had a breakdown because she was one of the most favorite. people on this entire earth was a pop star at a very young age and wasn't under the right guidance. Her dad, her parents, everything, her dad seems like an absolute asshole. It doesn't seem. He is an absolute asshole. So think about it. Maybe he was the reason for the breakdown. We don't know. We don't know what was happening behind the scenes. So to use that as an excuse as to why this is still happening is just ridiculous, in my opinion. Yeah. Yeah. So the judge did approve that the Bessemer Trust, which is at corporate fiduciary, will now serve as a co-conservitor over her state along with her father, which was something that Brittany had requested. So
Starting point is 00:42:32 she did approve that, but obviously not approve the removal of James Spears in his role. But Brittany's lawyer had called her a high functioning conservity who deserves at least notice of the actions her father is taking, which he has declined to provide, which we talked about before, you know, he allegedly fired her manager and hired someone new without consulting her at all. And that Britney's lawyer also said that Brittany has not spoken to her father in a very long time. But his lawyer said that the reason that they haven't communicated is because Ingham, Britney's lawyer has prevented it, saying that, you know, because of this ongoing case, they haven't spoken because Brittany's lawyer has advised her not to speak to him.
Starting point is 00:43:16 but it's all it's all it's all so tough too because brittney herself is we're not seeing her like there was a um a video i believe it was a video call that they had all joined um most of the attorneys along with brittany's parents took part in the hearing via phone and video conference but brittany herself did not attend in any form so we don't actually hear any of this from Brittany's mouth. It is coming from her lawyer, but you would think that her lawyer would have her best interest at heart and that it's not like a situation where Brittany's lawyer is not, is just like speaking on his own without talking to Brittany at all, which would be kind of crazy. But I don't know. It's gone on for so long and they can revisit it
Starting point is 00:44:16 at some point to have this discussion again. But as of right now, it is not going to change anything. On the days that you feel like you're always on, you just want to relax. You need a break. You got to reach for a cores light. You just want to hit that reset button, just kind of sit back, change how you're feeling that day. It's going to be with a cores light. It's the, easiest way to chill because right now everything's just there's a lot going on there's work there's family you just got there's so many different pressures of the world and you know so much going on where you maybe you're still working from home or probably are still working from home if you need a break you just want like to finish your work day sit down relax crack open a cores light or if you
Starting point is 00:45:50 just want to watch TV, watch some football, watch whatever sport is your favorite sport, crack open a course light while you're sitting there. My favorite thing, you know, after we were finished recording the podcast later in the day, we've been talking for a long time. You just want to relax. I reach for a cores light. It's the most refreshing beer made to chill, brewed with a three-step cold process, cold loggered, cold filtered, and cold packaged, so it is actually made to chill.
Starting point is 00:46:24 The mountains on Corzolites, cold activated bottles, and cans turn blue when they are chilled to perfection. Coors Light is coming straight from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in 1978. It is refreshing, crisp, and only 102 calories. So like I said, when you need that time to relax, to hit that reset button, maybe you just had a long workday. you want to change how the day is going, flip it all around. Coorslight is the beer for that.
Starting point is 00:46:53 So that's why Coors Light is the one I choose when I need a moment of chill. So when you want to reset, reach for the beer that's made to chill. You can have Coorslight delivered by going to get.corslight.com and finding local delivery options near you. And always remember, celebrate responsibly. This is coming from the Coors Brewing Company in Golden Colorado. We have more details about Carl Lent's affair. with this alleged woman who lives in New York City.
Starting point is 00:47:25 The details are, they're a little strange. Hearing about Carl Lentz and this woman and this woman telling, I think the Daily Mail is where I read all of this, was just a little bit weird. Apparently they had met at a park in Williamsburg, and he asked to sit in her circle, and they got to talking, and he said he worked with celebrities,
Starting point is 00:47:50 and apparently he mentioned that often, she said. And then it turned into them hanging out at her apartment, drinking a lot of tequila together. Then it turned into them being an absolute drug for one another. And the part where I say it was weird was that apparently they were sitting in her home and he asked if she can touch her leg. So she said he seemed timid as if he's never done this before. And also the fact that he apparently was talking about his wife
Starting point is 00:48:19 and his kids saying how bad he felt that he was doing it, but that they still continued on with it. And I just get very confused why women do this when they hear that somebody is married and they can, and that they have an amazing wife and kids. And they're like, I'm still going to fuck you anyway. Like, that's really fucked up in my opinion, but honestly, more fucked up on Carl's part to be like, I have an amazing wife and kids. I feel so bad, but not get your ass out of there. Like, why would you still sit there and cheat on her? And apparently, this was just a thing that went on from May until September. They drank a lot.
Starting point is 00:48:53 They, you know, like I said, they were like a drug to one another, apparently. And then somebody at Hillsong found the text messages on his computer through ICloud. And that is how everyone found out about it. Apparently, he's a bad cheater. Now, is this the, this isn't the woman who said that he told her he was a sports agent, or is it? No, this was a different. woman that I read about because this woman said that he did say he talked to the celebrities. And this was very strange.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Allegedly, because you don't know if this woman is making this shit up or if it actually happened. Right. But apparently he said to her, you remind me of like one of my friends, the Kardashians. Oh, geez. Because of the way she looks. It's, it's very tough because there was also a woman who came forward saying that she had a relationship with him, but he had told her that he was a sports agent and she didn't know who he actually was and he did not tell her that he was married or any of the sorts of those things.
Starting point is 00:50:00 So there have been a few women now coming out and telling these stories. Now, you never know what the motivation is behind that, but we know for a fact that something happened because he himself said, said something happened. So it is a little bit easier to believe the whole thing is crazy. We talked about it last week. It just, you know, now I guess Hillsong is looking into the New York chapter of the church and investigating on what's been going down there. Justin and Haley both unfollowed Carl. So it's very interesting. Yeah, it is interesting. I wonder if they were like. like this guy lied to us probably because i'm sure justin went to carl with help on how to not cheat on your wife and how to stay faithful in your marriage because he has had trouble with that in the past we know that with selina gomez we know with his past relationships he jumped from woman to
Starting point is 00:51:07 woman he didn't care who he was hurting so he probably did ask for advice on that and carl probably lied to him straight up because he he wasn't being faithful himself it's also really sad that laura lens was fired from the church as well. And for her to take the repercussions of her husband's actions, that's really unfortunate. And they have kids together and these kids, you know, they're going to have to hear about their dad and their mom getting fired from their job, their family, you know, friends of families probably know about the situation. It's going to be a hard time. And I'm really rooting for Laura and the kids to be okay and to get through this situation. And I'm always like move on, move past Carl. I personally,
Starting point is 00:51:47 would be like, fuck him, don't go back to him. I don't approve of cheating and one strike, you're out the door. But I could see because they are very religious people that they potentially work through this if he really, really tries. So it'll be interesting to see what happens. So this TikTok is being spread all over the place. It got sent to us a million times. So we ended up seeing it. Like we said, if you don't want to know what happens this season at all, then don't listen to this. But I will say it doesn't tell you who wins. It doesn't tell you who goes home. Yeah, but don't. No clarification. I know because I just want people to know that it's not like it doesn't spoil the full season. It's just something that happens in the show. Right. Right. But sometimes
Starting point is 00:53:08 even in that clarification, it does give stuff away because I had it sent to me a couple times. And I was at first, I was like, I don't want to see this. No spoilers. Like not at all. And someone had said, oh, it's not a spoil. It's just about someone who shows up. And I was like, well, I didn't say that. No, I know. I said it's not about who goes home or who stays. But that says it, right?
Starting point is 00:53:33 Like, that's not, if you say it's not about the guys who are on the show, then obviously it's about someone that shows up to the show. I guess so. I mean, well, you just said it. So if you were listening to last this point now, you know. I think from the first statement of you saying, if you don't want to hear anything at all, stop listening. They should have stopped listening.
Starting point is 00:53:55 Yeah, fair enough. Well, anyways, somebody put this TikTok out. They discovered that ABC released a trailer. And in the captioning, they put the name of Tasha's ex-husband in it. So really, ABC released this on their own with the captioning because the captioning said Josh Burrell, which is Tasha's ex-husband. And if you saw the caption and then went to go search who's Josh Borel, then you would have found out it's Tasia's ex-husband.
Starting point is 00:54:20 None of us did that work. but this woman on TikTok did. And yeah, they figured out that apparently Tasha's husband shows up on the show. Yeah, this was, this is clearly a mess up by ABC. I don't really think, like, people are like, oh, they did this on purpose. I really don't think they did that on purpose because this is probably by far the biggest moment that is going to happen this season with Tasia. I don't really think that they would just give that away in a caption.
Starting point is 00:54:54 If anything, they would, like, put his face in the teaser so that everybody could freak out if they really wanted everybody to freak out about it. So it kind of seemed like they tried to sneak it in with just a sound bite of him and not have anybody realize that it was Tasia's ex actually saying it. but they put the name was there whoever is inputting the captions there that's clearly i think that was a mistake i don't really think that they did that on purpose by the way the tic-tac is big mood be-be if you want to go see for yourself uh i think that they did do this on purpose because i feel like ABC and the bachelorette or the bachelor's they like to leave little hints sometimes because they know people will go and figure it out what it is and it gets people talking about the show because her ex-husband showing up is a big deal. And I think it is something that they
Starting point is 00:55:51 would show in a trailer. We've seen it in the past with ex-girlfriend. Right. That's what I'm saying. I think they would show it straight up show him like walking in if they really wanted people to know. Well, maybe they didn't want to do it too early on. So that's why they did the captioning. So they're like, some people can get excited about it. And then more trailers as the show goes on. maybe we'll actually see his face in the trailer. Yeah, maybe. I really don't think they did. I think that that, like I said,
Starting point is 00:56:20 it's going to be a massive moment and they would have a better plan to tee up that kind of teaser than to like act, then to just put it in a caption. Because it's a ruthless move to have her at, like Tasha's been on multiple shows, multiple different, you know, Bachelor shows.
Starting point is 00:56:42 And it's like, what could, what could her ex possibly have to say to her at this point? So it's a ruthless move to bring the ex in. For sure. And knowing that their past relationship did not end on a good note. You know, divorce is never good, but the fact that there was infidelity and cheating and all these other issues. Bringing in is cheating, her cheating ex-husband.
Starting point is 00:57:06 It's a recipe for disaster, but also they know. what they're doing. They needed some drama for the rest of this season. They had to spice up, spice it up with an ex-husband. Now, his friend ex-wife come back? Yeah, like, we didn't think that, kind of thought that maybe there would be more of a smooth sailing situation with Tasia and what would go down with, with her season. But they're always thinking ahead, clearly. They were like, let's get her cheating ex-husband in quarantine and put him on the show. What a fain. who her ex-husband is then. Like, hey, I want to go on TV known as the cheating husband.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Right. It's going to be, obviously, we really have no other details about this than the fact that his name was in that, was in that clip. So really don't know how this is going to go down, but I can't really think of any legitimate reason of why this guy would go on national television to talk, like, what could he possibly have to say? Does he want her back? Like what like what like what like what like what is there like hey good luck like it's just it seems like there's no way for this guy to look good in this situation which I'm obviously was on purpose but we have our Super Bowl halftime performer it is officially the weekend he'll be performing at the Super Bowl this year um it's all very interesting to be honest I kind of even like
Starting point is 00:59:10 forgot about like I know football season is happening I talk about I have a football podcast I talk about it every week but the Super Bowl halftime show um was something I wasn't thinking about just because concerts have been canceled and we haven't seen any really live shows so it took me by surprise I was like oh wow that's something that is that is still happening but the weekend is ultra ultra and he'll find like a way to make this very cool, I'm sure. All of his performances are insane. He does a phenomenal job every single time he gets up on stage and at an award show or whatever it is. He really puts in a lot of effort and really makes a statement and makes people think with his performances,
Starting point is 00:59:57 which I think is going to be really cool for the Super Bowl. Obviously, Shakira and J.Lo performed last year and everybody was excited for that. They were shaking their asses up on stage, singing beautifully. Yeah, some people were pissed. but let me tell you, we were loving it. Not us. Not us. Definitely not at all.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I support that 100%. And they were up there looking fantastic. It's J-Lo and Shakira. How can you not be excited about that? So I feel like the weekend is going to have a little bit of a different reaction just because I feel like older people do know J-Lo and Shakira more than they know the weekend. I feel like younger people know the weekend a bit better than older people do.
Starting point is 01:00:34 So it will be interesting to see the reaction, but I know that he's going to put on a fantastic performance. Like the weekend is great. He's super talented. It has major hits, bangers. And people are going to be having sex immediately after. They're just going to be so turned on from the weekend's performance that they're going to be banging after. Yeah. He's he, I, it is going to be funny to see the older generation reaction because I think that if people are not familiar with the weekend, they're going to watch this performance, which I'm sure is going to be incredible.
Starting point is 01:01:07 and like just theatrically very, very cool. And we're going to see tweets from older people being like, wow, great performance from the weekend. Like, yeah. Spelled actually like the weekend. Yeah. Or like great performance by Saturday and Sunday. From able, in quote, the weekend.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Yeah, exactly. But it'll be a good one. I'm, I think they are having people at the Super Bowl or. smaller, small capacity. Like the Super Bowl's in Tampa Bay. So, you know, people are at Tampa Bay games right now. Like, you can go to a Bucks game. So I think it would.
Starting point is 01:01:50 I feel like you also don't know, like, anything could change in like a few months. Oh, 100%. Everything's changing rapidly where we are right now. So who knows what could happen by the time this goes down. but it is also Florida. So, you know, we'll have to wait and see. They could definitely make some changes.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Whatever the weekend does will be geared for television. You know, they won't be able to have all the people run out onto the field with, like, signs or lights or anything. It's going to have to be mostly geared for a television performance. All right, that wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. Happy Friday, Energy, everybody. We hope you have a fantastic weekend. Talk to you guys on Monday. Love you.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Bye.
