I was about to say nightmare, but I didn't want to start it off that negative. I didn't. No, it's, you're right. And who knows, I mean, like you said, we record this on Friday. You're listening to it on Monday. Hopefully, things are in the same place, if not better, you know, because Monday, that's a lot of days. Who knows what could have happened over the weekend?

So we won't say anything. We won't say, talk about it too much because I know that's all everybody is talking about and you listen to this podcast for maybe a little bit of a break. We're going to obviously going to talk about some other stuff. I will say that as of right now, like France said, Monday, things could be different. We're recording this on Friday, as you know, Friday Energy on a Monday. Things could be different. As you guys know.

You guys get the deal. We are currently in our office. Barstlesports is open. We're here until the government basically shuts us down. Then we won't come to work. So we don't know if that's going to happen soon. But I want you guys to know if that happens, we will still be releasing the podcast on the same days Monday and Thursday will be

you know the group chat will still be out there we're still going to be providing you content all the time although it's going to be over Skype possibly and you know what you guys are just going to have to take what you get the Skype complainers will have to end yeah either from the office or from home but I think in this under these circumstances

a Skype podcast would fly and I was supposed to get better mics to take home with us if that does happen so we'll see. But everybody just, as we said before, stay safe. Yeah, put the, we're not fucking leaving. I'm not leaving.

I'm not leaving. I'm not fucking leaving. The show goes up. So people know that we may be leaving the office, potentially. Right. We will not be stopping. The show must go on. The show will go on because we will entertain you.

We're going to keep you distracted from this. Maybe you're at home. You know, you never know what's going on in other people's lives. So let's stay mindful. Let's stay kind. Let's stay clean. washed your hands. Just make smart choices.

Make smart choices. I also recommend if you guys want some insight. I listen to Joe Rogan's podcast. I don't usually listen. I listen to this one time that he had the expert on that knows everything about the coronavirus. So if you're confused, because there's a lot of confusing information going on, I recommend listening to that. It was like an hour and a half long.

It seemed like he had all the facts. Yeah. So I won't relay them because I don't want to be the one to scare people. So just go listen to that. Yes. Yes. There's obviously, it's tough. It's crazy times. There's a lot of information. There is a lot of facts. There's a lot of fiction. So the best thing to do, like you said, remain calm. Be smart, be safe. And, you know, wash your hands. Stay, try and stay clean. And if you do have health, you know, health problems or anything like that or you know you're around people that are elderly often, you just got to stay inside. Just got to stay. stay home. Yeah. This is the time we're living in that we must stay inside. And guys, if you are,

not must stay inside. As of right now, you can leave your homes. Yes. If you guys are working from home or if you are in college and your school went to online classes and, you know, you're, you got a lot going on. We are going to keep talking about great stuff. Pop culture. And I know there'll probably be a time that a lot of people are binging to. And, you know, there'll probably be a time that a lot of people are binging television shows. So if you want us to recap anything we have it done before, let us know. Yeah, I have a feeling, a very strong feeling. We're going to get a lot of people saying, Siesta Key, Siesta Key. I will be watching Siesta Key because Fran watches Siesta Key. I need you to watch and she needs me to watch it. I need you to watch it because for those who watch know how great

this season has been. They want to recap. I've seen the DMs. They want to recap really bad. So I will be watching Siesta Key. Given the season finale floored me. Did it? Yeah. Shit. Okay, so given the circumstance that we're not in the office, because like, if we're still in the office, I don't really have time to be binging more shows than I already watch. But say we're at home and we have time to do this, we will be watching all of the shows, all of the movies. We'll knock out a few this weekend. Just think about it. Oh, yeah, no, I think I'll start this weekend. But there's other stuff I want to watch. I want to keep watching hunters on Amazon Prime. My parents finished it. They said it was really good. And we saw the first episode at the premiere. So I want to watch that.

Yeah, so if you are watching anything that you guys think we would really like and you want to hear us talk about it, let us know. I wish there was another season of Love Island on. Because we finished season six. We didn't talk about it. We didn't talk about it. No, we didn't. But maybe we'll talk about it soon. We could just talk about that.

Yeah. Good a lot. I really enjoyed season six. Yeah, I enjoyed season six. You know, it just lasted too short for me. I know it wasn't that short, but it was gone too soon. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, all right. So those are some good options to start with, I think. Yes. Because right now, as you probably know, even in the pop culture world, they're only talking about the coronavirus because, unfortunately, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson got the coronavirus. How Tom Hanks, our Lord and Savior. I know. Invincible Tom Hanks. I know. Gets the coronavirus. It is. It's crazy. But I feel like he is doing a good job of. telling people how this process has been for him. Now it's different because he's in Australia and he said, you know, they got tested. They're isolated, the whole thing. And that it's been an okay, it's been a, you know, fine process for them. Obviously, they're six. So that's not great.

But they are getting better. And, you know, he's making, not really making jokes, but he's put in his own, his own iconic movie quotes in there. He said no crying in baseball. It seems like he's okay. He seems like he seems like hopefully he and Rita will be totally okay.

And I'm glad I'm not gonna lie. I'm kind of glad he was in Australia for this because I feel like that was best case scenario. They gave him a test. He got tested. He's good to go. Meanwhile, Heidi Klum's on her Instagram story. Coughing, she's got a fever. Everything she said she's been to

two doctors. No one will test her. She can't get a test. So. Oh my gosh. This is a disaster. It really is. It really is. But let's hope for better times. Who knows what will happen? My takeaway from Tom Hanks getting Corona was he was put on this earth to teach us lessons.

And this is another lesson coming from Tom Hanks. So thank you, Tom Hanks, for taking one for the team. Betty White was trending on Twitter while Tom Hanks got Corona and the NBA was suspended. And the whole thing, I was like, what happened to Betty White? But of course, it's just people being like, nothing, please happen to Betty White. So that's why she was trending just because people were hoping nothing happened to Betty. I know. It really is crazy because it's obviously a weird time around here.

As long as our office is open, people are still going to be here. We're still going to be doing stuff because some of these guys I feel for them, basketball, no basketball, no college basketball, no hockey, no golf, soccer. Although they're still playing the Premier League last I saw Premier League games were still going on this weekend, which is interesting. But other than that, it is No sports is

tough for a lot of people. So we'll just I think everybody's just going to start binging. I saw people who thought they were going to start reading. Yeah, okay. Right? But yeah, I feel like a lot. There will be a lot of binging.

Yeah, I'm excited for it. Get people in on the same thing that we're doing all the time. Yeah. Yeah. And the challenge does start fairly soon. Let's go. All right. shall we get into the podcast, Francesca?

Guys, as we go on into the rest of the podcast, as we get into the other topics, wash your hands and cleanse yourself of the coronavirus talk and maybe just in general in life, wash your hands. Carry on with your life. Stay motivated. Oh, people, you know, they feel like, this is another thing, people feel like they can't go to

the gym, they can't do their daily activities. Right, right. Workouts in your home. Yep. things are possible to be done in there. So stay motivated. Exactly. I know it sucks because if you are someone that has a very regular schedule of going to the gym

every day or taking classes or whatever, thankfully a lot of that's, you can find substitutes. Like don't be totally down because of that. Like you said, just do what Rhea does. Move your coffee table, put on some dance YouTube videos, get your cardio in. Yes. Do it all. Seriously. It's so much fun.

just dance in your own space. Yeah. In my own space, meaning this morning the subway platform was completely empty and Lil Uzi put out his second part of his album. He basically put out two albums in two weeks. And I was dancing away. It was empty. I had no shame. It was amazing.

Although my subway got stopped and I had to get off. And ironically, I was in front of Noah's apartment when the subway stopped. So we took an Uber together, right? No one. Isn't that nice. And then I coughed and scared Rhea. Oh my God. You have no idea. he coughed like a maniac. I didn't want to judge.

I didn't want to judge him, but in the elevator up, I think what had happened was he was holding it in in the Uber because he was scared and then he let it all fly in the elevator with me. It really is. I had a lot of, I had a couple of boxes with me going home yesterday. So I took an Uber and my poor Uber driver was just like, look, I don't know where you've been. I don't know how you're feeling like because it's tough. He's like, I work day to day.

if I stop working, I don't have any money. And what am I supposed to do? So he had stuff all his hand sanitizer and everything in the backseat. But yeah, no, those are also like the people you got to think of. And hopefully the government figures their shit out to make sure that everybody is taking care of because the people that are working in the stadiums or all these people that their jobs kind of come to a halt during something. this is crazy. Kevin Love, his charity donated a lot of money, which was really nice for the stadium workers. Also, if you are a nurse, doctor, if you're working in the medical field, thank you. Shout out to you for going through this hard time. I can't imagine how hard it is actually

working in the hospital. Doctors office, people coming in left and right. It can't be easy. So thank you to those people. Yeah. And also, like I said, stay mindful. You know, some people may not be as fortunate as you are, who knows what kind of situation you're in. So tip a little more to the people who are delivering, you know, postmade seamless. We're all doing that nowadays. Just think about how they're going door to door. Just stay mindful. Uber's as well.

Like they're risking their lives just as much as everybody else. Because we really don't know what's going on, truthfully. This thing is crazy. So like I said, as we move forward into the podcast, pop culture topics, TV, movies, cleanse yourself of this talk. but stay mindful. And we'll be talking pop culture. So we have a ton of topics.

They both announced on Instagram and Madison's hanging out with Selena Gomez. Bachelorette production has been postponed. Ben Affleck and Anna DeArmis are dating.

Apparently they were seen on vacation. I'm super into David Dobing in the vlog squad now. And I'm rooting on David. Doberg and Madison Beer dating rumors, even though that's potentially not possible. Who knows? Vanderpump rules. We'll talk about that. Fran made me watch. I'm happy I did. I'm sucked back in. Yep. Welcome back. Yes. Happy to have you. Thank you. Thank you for having me. I'm really excited about it. Yeah. And we also have an interview with Ariel Winter, which I was not here for. But thank you, Francesca, for covering in this time. I do not have Corona. It was another health issue. I've talked about this before. Your girl's got problems. We'll figure it out. but not at this time.

Who cares? Who cares about me right now? Yeah. I don't. All right. So let's get into it. Starting off with Madison and Peter. We all saw love on summer.

Let's talk about some Bachelors stuff because I know it's literally the only thing that we've talked about for this entire week has been the coronavirus and the bachelor. We understand that. But it's really the only thing, like the Bachelor wheel just keeps turning no matter what. No matter what, that wheel keeps turning last night while we were about to go to sleep. It was late.

These two. It's official. It is official. Maddie, Peter. It's over. It's done. It's been two days. The finale was Tuesday night.

breakup announcement Thursday night. I don't even really, this is, okay, well, let me first, first I'll read what each of them said because one, one's, Peters was longer than Maddie's. Maddie wrote so incredibly thankful for this amazing journey I've had the honor of being a part of. I have grown so much and I'm stronger than I was going in. I have learned the importance of acceptance, forgiveness, and grace. As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I'm confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things. I will always love and respect him. I'm convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did. Pilot Pete at Pilot Pete, you are an amazing guy and I'm thankful for you.

I will always be your biggest fan. And to the amazing women I met this season, I will love you for life. Thank you ABC Network for allowing me to bark on this journey. Peter and Madison both commented on each other's post so it seems like everything's, you know, good between them maybe. Pete wrote, I want to start by acknowledging the incredible group of women that I had the privilege of getting to know this season. Thank you for coming on this journey with me. I learned so many lessons from all of you that I will carry with me. Maddie, thank you for your patience and unconditional love. You're the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in and loves wholeheartedly.

That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me, always going forward. Maddie and I have mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further. Believe me, this was not easy for either us to be okay with, but after a lot of honest conversations, We have agreed that this is what makes sense, what makes most sense for the two of us. The love and respect I have for Maddie will continue to endure. Then he tosses the thing in about Hannah-Anne. I mean, you could at least post.

You could at least give Hannah-Anne her own post. I was just thinking that. Well, I thought as soon as I read it, actually. Right. Like, I was like a- Finish reading it now. We'll talk about it. Hannah-Anne, you set an example for women everywhere a couple nights ago.

You are such a strong, confident woman, and you deserve all the love in the world. I accept full responsibility for my mistakes in our relationship. and wish you only the best. This has been an emotional experience, and I am so grateful for the outreach of support that I have received from friends, family, and bachelor nation in the last two days. Thank you to all of you.

This is just another chapter of my story, one I will never forget and one I will always cherish. And so Maddie had posted a picture of the two of them. Peter posted a photo of himself, so I guess that's how we got away with putting Maddie and Hannah Ann in one caption, but, you know. Truthfully, I think that the way that Peter should have wrote this out was start off with Hannah Ann because she was the one,

you got engaged to. You proposed to her, you broke her heart, you made her believe all these things. Start off with Hannah Ann and then go into, as for Madison, we are not going to be pursuing each other. Like, what? It just, it just seems like he's making every wrong decision. I know, I don't want to be too hard on Peter anymore. I understand that during the recap, we may have been a little harsh, but, you know, he did the moment. We're recapping the bachelor. Things are flying. We're talking about it. So I understand he is probably going through a hard time. A lot of people are probably being really harsh on him and he has a lot to figure out. I think it's not shocking at all that Peter and Madison are not together.

We called that. I mean, everybody called that. Like, obviously, they cannot continue on after what happened on that live show, just in a realistic world. I don't, even for Maddie's sake, I would be like, why would you continue to date somebody whose mother acts that way to you? Like, why would you put yourself in that situation? There's other people out there.

Clearly, you guys aren't working out. Yeah, I'm not going to lie, this, this two-day statement situation makes me think that everything we saw on the live show was fairly manufactured just from not necessarily the feelings that Madison and Peter have, but the going to get Madison, bringing her back, having this big moment of our Maddie and Peter together where I think they were so nowhere near that stage of like, should we be dating again? I don't think that they really had that conversation. And then they were thrust onto this live moment. And she got absolutely destroyed by her mom. And there were articles that they were spotted out having lunch or something on Wednesday in L.A. And that they looked tense and Maddie was rubbing her temples and that, you know, all dramatics. And it just makes you think that they like maybe had conversations like, oh, maybe this could work.

Maybe it won't. Let's see what happens after the finale and we can give it a try. and they sat on the stage with the finale and got absolutely roasted by Peter's mom and they were just like, this isn't worth this. Yeah, I, you know, like I don't even think that they were ever even, like they keep saying that there was like a breakup. It feels like they weren't ever even together.

Exactly. I don't think they ever even reached the point where it could be considered, like you said, a breakup. I think that they maybe were like, okay, let's talk about giving this a shot. And they talked about it and they figured out this is not going to work. I don't think they were ever like, you're my girlfriend, you're my boyfriend. No, I think it was like, let's figure it out and then shit hit the fan and they

decided that they could not pursue it. And look, Barb, she seems like she is one happy lady right now. Like within minutes of them posting these breakup Instagram posts, Barb and her minions. It's unbelievable. Barb and her lady. Like, Barb and her lady minions are on her Instagram. They're singing, leaving on a jet plane. It was just really some next level moves from Barb, I got to say.

On a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again. Oh, Barb, we hate to go. And at first I was like, oh, are Barb's little minions, are Barb's little minions leaving? but like our barbs have barb's friends been to her house to visit and now they're going home and they're like oh bye barb and i'm sure you know i would never assume that kind of move from a mother like that you know yeah but i would never be i would never be like oh my god that was such a message to mattie and everything but just because of the way she acted on that live show i'm like maybe it was a

minute after Maddie had posted that. The timing was very suspicious. Barb is out of control. People want to say, oh, oh, it's Peter's mom. Barb is still mean, okay? She and I, okay, I will say like it is, I got a little chuckle of the fact that this grown ass woman is posting these videos. Like, what the fuck is going on? But it is out of control. Barb is crossing a line. She really clearly doesn't like Maddie for whatever reasons. But it seems like Maddie will be just fine because she was hanging out with Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez had posted stories of her watching the finale the other night. It seemed like she was rooting for Madison.

She said she wants to help Madison. The next day, Maddie's being in quarantine with Selena Gomez and her friends. Life can't get better. It's just, it's just crazy to me at this point, what this show, the impact that this show has. and I know that sounds kind of ridiculous, but now I feel like so many more celebrities are watching The Bachelor and especially this last season, I feel like so many more people watched,

that now it seems plausible that Selena Gomez will be watching, post about it on her story, maybe Maddie saw it, and she messaged her on Instagram being like, thank you so much for the support. Like that's so nice. Or Selena reach out. And Selena Gomez being like, you're so welcome, let's hang out.

Like, what? Yeah. Or it could be Selena reached you out to Maddie. Like, hey, I know you went through a hard time last night. Barb was really mean to you if you want to hang out. It could go either way. But at this point, worlds are colliding. Right.

And I'm sure they're probably, it's possible that they are friends in the church. Like, I just think, obviously, if Maddie's been spending time in L.A., She's probably been going to the same places that everybody else goes. I mean, we heard Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato talk about Peter being at church. So it's just a very interesting dynamic now of how this all works out, right? Like Peter, like, I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's like, oh, Justin and Demi are talking about Peter. Selena's talking about Maddie. Yeah, it is crazy.

Now they're picking sides. You got the Kardashians involved. Like they're going to church too there, but they love Hannah Ann. Is Hannah Ann going to church? Who's she hanging out with? And of course the Kardashians are talking to Chris Harrison. It only makes sense that, you know, some celebrities are going to Peter. Some are going to Madison.

But the Kardashians are going straight to the source. Chris Harrison, Chris Jenner, one in the same. It is interesting to see, though, like Lady Gaga was tweeting about it. Jennifer Annison was posting on her story. It seemed like everybody watched this season. It really seems like everybody watched this season. I kind of want to give a little credit. I don't know if it's crazy on my part.

I think Tyler C really paved the way for celebrities to watch this show. I think celebrities were like, shit, that guy's really hot. What's going on? And then they started picking up on the show. And they were like, wow, this guy on the bachelor is dating Gigi. Yes. They were like, what's going on with the bachelor? And then they got hooked in.

Right. No, it's very possible because here we are. Like Madison, she is just shopping with Selena Gomez and her friends on a Thursday night in a Target they're buying board games Meanwhile Peter's fighting with Barb at home Maddie's having a great time playing board games with Selena Gomez

And Peter's dealing with phone calls from Barb Left and Right It's just It's really crazy And this This is the obvious ending to this season Like there was just no way

that Madison and Peter were going to work out. We said that. It's only been a couple days and we're in the place that we knew we were going to be anyway. Like there was no way that this was going to work. So Maddie, single maybe, who knows? Who knows about all these other rumors? Like maybe they maybe they were dating other people and they had to like do this weird

last last chance push to see if it would work. Let me read a DM I got I got for you. Now did you see the picture of Nick? Viol and Kelly that everybody was freaking out about. Yes, I will get to that after I read this DM that I got. So I want to start by saying that this girl sent this to me, right? And I had seen it in other places. So she's saying this is thirdhand knowledge,

co-worker's cousin is friends with one of the producers, but here's what happened. Right. Now I saw that same message from a million other people. So do I believe that this girl's co-worker's cousin is friends with a producer? No, I think it's something you found on. line that's you're just copying and pasting this to me but we got to read all the theories so this is this is what's going around and I honestly I don't believe some of this I do believe some of it I think the first

one is fucking crazy but well I guess I'll read it guys by the way this is all alleged information right right alleged this is a legend people DMing us this left and right it's been on the internet and I yeah who knows who's making up this shit I'm just reading what's been given to me number one Peter was coked out the entire season and sleeping with Victoria F since day one. Hence why she stayed around until the end and why he was so, you know, ignoring red flags. Okay, number one. To just say Peter was coked up the entire season is a crazy thing to assume.

It's a crazy thing to say to spread that rumor around is one, like, to say one thing, to say one thing like, oh, Peter might be with Kelly. Okay, that's not really harmful to Peter's life. To go around saying Peter is coked up all season, that's just, you're spreading information. That's just not, probably not true. You know nothing about that. So why are you spreading that information? Yeah.

That pisses me off. Yeah. The second thing, we've heard this one before, Peter hooked up with Kelly, post Hannah Ann and pre-Madison, and that was developing information the week of Women Tell All, which is why Kelly wasn't there for that. And then the same thing we saw, Madison is dating someone in her seminary, Peter and Kelly are still a thing. So the same things that we've been seeing besides the first one that just made me mad.

And I was like, why are people spreading that rumor? Right, right, right. Just because that's just like. That's fair. That seems uncalled for. The, the Kelly Madison's dating somebody else. That I could see. That's kind of harmless.

Right. That I could definitely see. Although, let me tell you, Kelly and Nick looked good together. I'm not going to lie. I would be rooting for Nick and Kelly all the way. While we're on this topic, let's talk about Nick's questions for the week because me and Fran talk about this all the time. I'm sure other people have seen it.

Nick Viall always, he does a thing on Instagram where he has people ask him questions, he answers. Yep. His responses are so fucking funny sometimes. No, they are truly. In a way that we send them to each other

because in a way we cannot believe that he's responding to some of these things the way he is. Like he's just brutally honest. Also some of the advice, I'm like, what? I just, it just makes me laugh though. Like I will tell you, I read every one of them just for the laughter and entertainment. I don't really take his advice to heart.

I'm trying to think if there was any. But he's not trying to be funny, right? I don't think he's like trying to be funny with his answers. on some of our 70-plus series and pilots currently filming or about to begin. The new season was set to begin filming at the Bachelor Mansion on Friday and the show obviously has just joined a long list of things that have been canceled. And then Entertainment Weekly also wrote there is no word yet whether the Bachelor of production delay will affect the premiere date, which is currently scheduled for Monday, May 18th. Unfortunately, the delay is also probably too short to give producers a time to cast better guys for the 38-year-old Claire. Currently, she has a bunch of 20-somethings

And yeah, that's the only silver lining here is that maybe a delay of production will make them kick off some of the younger guys and get some older guys for Claire.

And there's no timeline is the thing that's probably the most alarming because this could be postponed for, who knows, quite some time. So Jacks and Tom have had a pretty weird situation just because it went from Tom not going

to Jacks's like bachelor party number one that he was upset about. But that seemed like it wasn't that big of a deal. But then there was this pastor situation. that Britney and Jacks, the pastor that was doing their wedding, had some pretty bad remarks in his past and remarks about the, you know, LGBTQ community and that people around them were like, uh, Jackson and Brittany know about this?

And so like they claimed they had just seen one thing that he had said a while back and that once it became a bigger thing that they, that they told, you know, they told the pastor that he was out pretty much. And I think they kind of thought that was sort of going to be the end of it. Jacks is always kind of like nonchalant about that stuff. I feel like he was like, all right, well, like we'll get rid of it. You know, it's just, I think because he didn't seem like he took it that seriously. And then Tom and Ariana got very upset about it.

and it all blew up because Tom brought it up at a public place at a party, really put Jacks on the spot, which made everybody uncomfortable. Brittany was crying, Brittany was yelling that she wanted Jacks to knock him out. Oh, my God. So it really escalated very, very quickly. You know, Jacks has had some comments post, like, off the show, you know, live tweeting and whatnot about Tom. always bringing the drama, wanting to bring stuff up in the wrong time and place to, you know,

give himself the spotlight. So it seemed like a lot was going on. But the last couple episodes have been Jacks and Brittany wedding prep, which is actually very, I think it's actually very cute to watch. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, it is just a different feeling watching Jackson and Brittany prepare to get married. because watching Vanderpump rules in the past, you just never thought this day would come.

So it is nice to see. It's cute. Brittany is obviously so adorable that you just root for her happiness at all times. Yeah, there's other drama going on. It looks beautiful. The castle and everything.

Yeah. I want to talk about James for a second because I'm confused on what's going on with him. Because we saw what's going on with him and Raquel, and he's texting her while he's drunk, and that was only the second to last episode. Now, do we know where James Kennedy stands now? I don't know.

Because didn't you say, was it recently where he said he was sober? I don't know if I said that, but maybe he said that. No, you, I remember sitting at our desk and we're at the point in the seat, like, he had basically agreed to go. Yes, James Kennedy on March 4th, James Kennedy says he's nine months sober. Oh, okay. Okay. That was the article on e-news.

Yeah, yeah. James Kennedy has opened up about his sobriety. He gave an update on Watch What Happens Live. He said that I think because of all the drinking I was doing stuff, I was really hiding from my true emotions and just blaming whatever I want to get out the easy way. And then Andy Cohen had asked and he said, I'm going on nine months sober. I haven't had a drink in nearly nine months. Yeah.

Well, that's great. It feels completely different. So that is great watching what has been happening on this season. and I feel so bad for Raquel because she just feels so lost and trapped and it's so hard when you're in that type of relationship

where he becomes a monster when he's drunk but when he's sober he doesn't he feels he says he feels bad and he says it's not him but it is him because it's just him but drunk and he knows he has a problem no I thought that was yeah

and exactly and him him going off like that on Raquel and sending all those really horrible horrible things to her was so shitty but I think it also like woke her up to how bad the situation is

or was so she had finally got him to agree to go to a meeting and he had never done that before and never even said like oh I'll go he's just always said he would never go so that's that's great I hope all that stuff that he told Andy Cohen is true because as of right now

on the you know the last episode He was like, what am I going to do? Drive down to the middle of nowhere so with a bunch of old people and listen to their story. Like, you know, he was really kind of shitting on it. But then he was like, but, you know, Raquel asked me to go, so I'll go. So hopefully they're moving in the right direction. It's all like, it's all pretty intense because like you said,

they are all grown adults. So there have been some very serious conversations between Ariana and. Tom and Ariana and the girls and Ariana and Lisa about her battles with her mental health and depression and the things that she's been going through, which have all been pretty heavy, but she has expressed it very well. But things are getting a little catty because Lala, Lala went on Instagram live. I don't know if it was, it might have been last, like two weekends ago or last weekend and she was very unhappy with Tom and Ariana like very unhappy. She didn't like what Tom was saying about Lala that because on the show Lala had said, Lala talking to Ariana was like,

this is a safe space. You know, you can talk to us, whatever. And then it would cut it cut to Lala kind of making a side comment about Ariana or, you know, or maybe not having the nicest thing to say. Tom had some words for Ariana and Lala went on Instagram Live and did not hold back on her feelings about Tom and Ariana. So the drama is still going on is just way, way more, more serious. But I don't know. I've felt very, I felt very bad for Ariana because it does seem like she really struggles. And it was interesting that she really is talking about it so much on the show. Yeah, I love Ariana. I actually think that she's just very honest and you always kind of know what's going on with her despite like the other people on the show you're trying

to figure out what their motives are and whatnot. I feel like Ariana has always just been honest. It made me sad watching what was going on with Tom and Ariana like trying to figure out, does Ariana go to the wedding without Tom? And, you know, she doesn't want to do that to Tom. Obviously, Tom ends up, Jack's like, I want you to be my best man. But of course, because it would be ridiculous if he didn't do that. And also like when the wedding actually happened,

we saw them all there, you know? Like we know. Exactly. In my head, it's like, you know what happened. But it's also been so many months since it all happened in real time that like you almost either forget or you're like, wait, does he?

I don't really remember. Like, what's going on? Or you think this thing? It was the same thing with, Lisa. Like Lisa, she was supposed to officiate the wedding and she could not because she got horrible news about her mother suddenly passing, which is awful and that she was going to have to go back to England and she wasn't going to be able to make it. But in the last episode, there she is, surprised angel. And like, I almost thought I was going to tear up when Lisa showed up. Me too. And I remember,

Like I literally went, oh, like out loud to my TV. And then I was like, what am I doing? I know that Lisa shows up. Like, I know that she was there. Yeah. I thought the same thing when I watched Lisa tell them that she couldn't go. I was like, oh my God, she can't go. Meanwhile, I had seen that she was there.

Jackson and Brittany were just so happy that she was there. And then when she was just so heartwarming. I was able to go. I know. I was so pumped for her. So this season was actually really, really good. there's been a lot going on for sure and on a lighter note because i just think it's so fucking funny that katie and schwartz just never signed their marriage license unbelievable and i know we

kind of joked about this because we have known this for a while too but seeing this happen where like stasi's learning in real time that they never signed their their marriage license and then stasi told lisa and lisa's like are you fucking kidding me like i did all that shit for their wedding and they couldn't sign the piece of paper. Swartz lost the marriage license and then they just kind of forgot about it. It's just crazy that they went on for that long, married, but not really married. Right.

Like, don't you at one point think to yourself, like, where's our marriage license? And it's also crazy because they did all the hard things. Like, they did all the crazy steps, the wedding, the planning, the full party aspect and all of the money that goes into that. they do everything besides just sign of the piece of paper all you had to do is pick up a pen that's all they had to do oh which was just very funny but like always schwartz has just been he's just my favorite he really is yeah he's always been one of my favorites throughout the season because he never really even though he's involved in drama I love him so much he doesn't

really get involved in when he does he kind of knows what the deal is like there was I don't know if you had watched these ones, but he, Tom, Sandoval, like, rage texted Stasi about her event at Tom Tom that she was doing for her book event. And it was like so on called for and so out of place.

And Sandoval, it seemed like Sandoval was just pissed because Stasi was like going through Schwartz to plan this event and not him. And it was, it was a whole disaster. But it was just, there's sometimes when Schwartz is just like, look, man, like, you were wrong. Like, you know, you know,

He doesn't want to get into the middle of things, but he knows when it gets that bad. He was like, yeah, I mean, San Vall. He's on call for. Yeah, he's the voice of reason. He really just, he really cracks me up. Like, just hearing him just be like, yeah, I, you know, I had the license in the car and then, and then I lost it. It's just, that's just, that's it. Yeah.

I feel like they always. ends up linked to somebody that he's in a in a movie with wasn't it emily raticowski on gongrel people did say that yeah well i think it's just because they had an affair in gongrel anyway people said they actually did though i i don't think that was a an actual like i don't think there's fact behind that i think that was pretty much a rumor that is possible but that i don't think that was ever a confirmed thing but i feel like ben met jalo on a and Jennifer Gardner on a set.

I'm not positive on that, but... Were they married or were engaged? They were engaged, but I don't think they ever actually got married. I can't believe they were engaged. That's a time in my life that didn't exist. J-Lo and Ben Affleck was engaged to each other. Last weekend, late at night, there was a... It wasn't that late, you know, whatever, 12, 1 o'clock.

Late at night. Yeah, late at night. There was a old E true Hollywood story on about J-Lo and it was like way, way, way back, like talking about her first marriage and when she was in Selena and everything, I was captivated. Like, I don't remember any of that

because I was too young. So, like, I was hooked. I was like, I gotta keep watching. You see all the stuff with J-Lo now, but then it was so, so interesting because I just, I never saw all that stuff. Right, you forget these things happen. Same thing when we talk about Jen, Brad, and Angelina.

We don't really know Jen and Brad. We know Brad and Angelino. It's true. I have a very special guest with me today. Ariel Winter. Thank you so much for joining me. I'm so excited. You are a redhead.

I am a redhead. Yeah, I'm a little strawberry. This is a huge change. It is a big change. Yeah. Yeah, I love it. I, not to make this about me, but I have really wanted to do something drastic to my head.

To my hair. I don't know what. It's really tempting. It really is. It really is. It really is. Because you also, like, you pull off the reds so well. I'm naturally blonde.

That's the thing. People don't, like, people don't, every time I say it, they're like, no. And I'm like, well, I definitely know. I mean, I definitely know. Are you sure? Yeah, they're like, no, there's no way. And I'm like, well, I mean, I definitely would know. Yeah.

But, yeah, so I've been dyeing my hair permanent black for 13 years. And in between, like, my hiatus is on the show, I dye my hair word colors. And, yeah, last year, I was just like, I'd finally giving it up. And I was like, whatever. Yeah. We just stick with this. I was like the other ones don't look okay. My hair girl, she was like, she was like, honestly, let's just stick to this.

Yeah, yeah. And I came across this photo. I don't know who it was. And I was like, wish I could pull it off. I send it to her and I was like, L.O.L. I know you're going to say no, but could I pull it off? She was like, actually, I think it would be great. Dived my hair at this color.

And I was like, once the show is over, I will never go back. Yeah, yeah. My niece says it's hair color natura. I tell her all the time. And I'm like, if you dye your hair. Don't touch it, right? I swear. Yeah.

I swear. Yeah. She's like, that's kind of scary. And I'm like, I swear. Yeah, yeah. Do not. I remember I had, when I was younger, I had adults tell me that all the time, too. Like, do not touch, you know, do not dye your hair ever.

And then I was like, mm, I'm going to do it. When you have, like, a really special hair color. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a rare hair color. And I feel like when I look at her hair, I'm like, it's so special. Yeah. And it's so natural. I'm like, it's so special.

Yeah. She just had, you know, she had like, I don't know, like really dark hair. I would get it. I'd be like, okay, I had that for a long time. Like, I would get it. I'd be like, sure. Want to take you up sometimes. But the strawberry blonde, I'm like, girl, it is special. It is. It looks fantastic. Thank you.

And you're back in New York during a time that it sucks to travel. Absolutely. It was very, very nervous to do so. I already don't like crowds. And now I'm in crowds with coronavirus. Yep. So I am definitely terrified. Yeah, I think everybody kind of is. But on great news, bright note, I guess, I guess it is a bright note. I guess it is bright out. Modern family is almost at the end here. And you have been on this show for half of your life.

Exactly half my life. Yeah, I turned 21 January and I've been on it since I was 11th. Which is so insane that now, like, as it comes to an end, like, have you really been looking back and reflecting on it? Or is it kind of like, it's over? I'm ready to do something new. I mean, I think it's kind of both. Yeah. You know, like I am definitely. ready to do something new. I'm really excited about what that is. Yeah. But I definitely am so grateful for what's given me that opportunity. And that is the show. And I'm also grateful for working with such lovely people because you don't always get to do that. And we have the best crew. And we do have really amazing cast and everyone we work with is really special. So I think for me it's like it's hard to let that go. I think we've ended the show at a really wonderful place because, you know, sometimes shows push a little too far. Right. And I think we've we've ended it at a lot.

a really beautiful place that is wonderful and I'm grateful for that. But for me, I think leaving our crew has been the hardest because I really do love our crew and we've had almost the same people. Same people for 11 years. And that's crazy. Yeah, that to me is something that I've been thinking about the most. But also, for me, it's not a goodbye. You know, on the last day, people were sobbing and crying

and it was like a goodbye like, we're never going to see each other again. And for me, I was like, we're just saying goodbye to our characters. Right. We're just saying goodbye to the, obviously, the set, which is sad, because we've spent so much time here. But for me, when I care about people it doesn't like doesn't just go away like I'm not going to walk off the set and be like I'm never going to see the people that I love again right right so it's like

for me it was like it was very different to leave the set and I'm also it takes me more time to be like super emotional about something I um Ed O'Neill was just on Ellen and he said that Julie Bowen like needed to be sedated it was rough yeah it was definitely rough so she won most emotional she definitely did she definitely won most emotional

and I mean it's obviously it's really sweet. I mean, yeah, I mean, it's really beautiful and she was definitely really sad. It definitely cut down some of our takes, which is good and bad. But yeah, she definitely needed a little bit of help with the chill. But again, it's like, it's really nice that she feels that way. And I mean, the show means so much to all of us. We've all gone through so much while being on that show. And you go through so much in 11 years in general, but especially, you know, during those stages. Yeah. Yeah. absolutely yeah i mean because i've and i think a lot of viewers feel that way too especially people

who have watched modern family from when they were younger it's i've i've watched from the from the beginning and seeing everybody grow up is nice because you see somebody that's kind of like you on tv growing up and i think that's obviously why modern family was such a massive success to begin with but alex my sister and i would always laugh because i had always felt like an Alex and my sister was a Haley. And we just always laughed about that. What were your, like, favorite parts about Alex? That's hard because I, so when they played the gag reel at our rat party, they made

a really beautiful gag reel for the ending, obviously. And while it was funny, they did, like, these sort of, like, three to four minute arc videos for each of the, you know, kids. Right. I got that would make me sob. And it was, it was definitely rough to get through, but I have to say it really kind of reminded me of the character arc that Alex has had and where she started and who she is now as an adult. I do have to say it was like, in the beginning, it was, I mean, she is a very relatable character. And I think in trial, I've heard from so many people that they're like, I was an Alex, my sister was a Haley.

My sister was Haley. My sister was Haley. She was an Alex. And, you know, it's a really beautiful thing to get to play a character that is so relatable. Even when I was younger, like, you know, education was way more important to me than anything else. I was like, I don't care about this. Like, you know, social life. Whatever. I'd like to have one, but, you know, I'm not as, you know, concerned about it.

And it was like, cool for Alex because in the beginning she was, well, from the start and the finish. She's incredibly smart and really ambitious. But she had so much trouble socially, so much trouble connecting with people her age. And also just in general. And as she got older, it was like harder for her, still harder for her to make friends or, like, maintain healthy. relationships with people and like discovering herself. And what I think is really beautiful is her social arc. It's something that. And I know some people are like, oh, that's not as important.

And I'm like, no, developing yourself as a person and finding yourself as a person is insanely important. I find that is like way more important. And Alex has had a really beautiful, you know, now she knows who she is. She knows what she wants. She has a wonderful job. And also she's been able to maintain healthy friendships, healthy relationships. And I think that that's a really beautiful like, you know, right for people to see. Definitely. And you guys have had so many amazing guest stars and people come in to play your boyfriends and whatnot, which has been some of my favorite parts of this show, like seeing all the different boyfriends and who, you know, I'd always hoped that, um, that Haley would end up with Andy, but that was just like

a personal preference. But when, like you mentioned, Alex's social development, like she, her relationships when she was younger to her older relationships were great to watch though, because because it felt like a real kid having her first boyfriend and an adult having an actual relationship. Or like that episode where Alex, it was so, so funny to film this one, but where I go to that like, kids' house, my age, I think it was in the first couple of seasons. And he plays soccer or whatever. I go to his house. And I like, tell him I'm like, I'm like, I'm just a girl standing in front of you. And he, like, rejects you and, like, brings out all of his friends to laugh at you.

I was like, ooh, that's rough. But, like, also so relatable. And, like, yeah, she had a slew of weird boyfriends that were not suited for. her like throughout the show and it was like maybe she felt like that was what you know was that was what she wanted or that's what liked her and then she had no like it was is is interesting just to like see and then she you know ended up with bill and we don't know who she'll end up with right and i do but i won't tell you um but like having jimmy tachra was so wonderful that was literally what i was going to ask because he seems like the funniest person he's so funny and he really is just

a great guy he's funny i loved working with him Something that was like also great is sometimes I can be, I am very loud and I talk a lot. Yeah. But occasionally on set, there's just like time where I don't want to talk that much and not like in a negative way. Yeah, yeah. I'm just like, I'm chilling. And I don't need to fill the silence. And Jimmy was also that way.

And that was a really lovely thing. It was getting to like, we'd like stand next to each other. We'd just had a conversation. But then for like 10 minutes, we'd say nothing. Yeah. And just like chill and be comfortable in that silence. And that is so important to me. I loved that.

Yeah. So having him was really great. And yeah, he's so funny. Yeah, I really thought he was fantastic. He's really talented. So you guys had this huge rap party that we saw a lot of stuff from. It looked like it was so much fun. What has it been like just kind of having these?

I know it feels like last moments. Like you said before, it's not like you're never going to see these people again. Yeah, yeah. I feel like people really put emphasis on that like last. And I'm like, I know some people. probably do that. There are some people that they've worked with that they're like, peace out, never to talk to you again. But it's got to be hard. It's, I'm sure it sucks because it could be hard down the road to get everybody in one room together. And it is a goodbye for

some people because, you know, some people you're close to, but you're not as close to. You know, when you have over 100 people in a crew, you know, there are people that you get really close to and there are some that you don't, not for any reason other than there's just no time for it. Or, you know, not even age differences because some of my friends. there are way older than me and some of the closest people, but just in general. Right. You're closer to some than others. So definitely it'll be a lot harder to see some of the people you're not as close with.

So I definitely get some of the like, you know, goodbye. And I also get the sadness. It's just for me, you know, people that I love and I care about, it's just like in my mind, I am so rooted in knowing that I'm not, that's not going to be a goodbye for me. So it was a little different. Yeah. But the party was awesome. Yeah.

The party was super awesome. I think everyone really had gotten out the majority of their tears the night before, which was our last day. Time to party instead. Yeah. And it was just, it was really nice to spend that time with them. It was nice to meet some of the people on the crew actually that I had never met. Some people, you know, who aren't there dating. Really nice to see them.

And just in general, it was really cool. You know, like the mural on the wall and the gag grill video that was so beautiful. And seeing that there was a drink named after me, that was actually good. I was hype about that. What was it? Do you remember? I don't remember. I don't remember.

I didn't even go to the bar and I didn't even look. So my boyfriend went to get us drinks. And he came back with two different drinks for me. And I was like, oh, babe. I was like, damn, you really think some serious stuff in me today. And he was like, no, no, I brought you what you wanted. And I also brought you, you have your own drink. And I was like, it's so cool.

And my own drink was hype. I'm not going to lie. That was great. I was really excited about that. I took a picture of that. Like, they sent a professional photo of like the thing that said like the Alex's drink. I was like, cool. That is,

anytime you go to an event and. And there's like a drink after you, it was so cool. That is, that is. That had never happened to me and that was so good. I'm shocked. That's the first time that's ever happened to. I mean, aside from like my own birthday. Right, right, right.

And you're, yes. Yeah, I mean, like, my own birthday is a little different, but like, never happened to me anywhere else. That's true. That's cool. I, um, I really admire the relationship that you and Sarah Highland have maintained throughout, like, doing this entire show together. What is that relationship? Like, what is that relationship?

kind of mean it means a lot she's a wonderful person and uh she's my sister on the show and I'm very close to her in real life and it definitely I mean it definitely means a lot to me I have to say the closest person uh the person I am closest to is is Nolan Gould yeah is um like my best friend and my brother I've literally I texted him the last day and I was like listen I love you lots and you know how much I love you I was like I was like you know I'm not as sappy because he's like so sappy on the last day I was like holding him as he sobbed oh my gosh he would hate that I'm saying this, but I was saying this is soft. But like, I messaged him and I was like, listen, I love you. You know, I love you. I not only worked on a great show, but I gained a best friend. I gained a brother

in the process. And he was like, I'm sobbing more. And I was like, well, that was kind of the point. Yeah. But he and I, I'd say, are probably like the closest dad of everybody. Yeah. We've grown up together. We're at the same age. I took him to Vegas for his 21st birthday. So he and I are incredibly close. So I feel like, you know, there's so many people on the cast I'm very close with and Sarah is wonderful as well. We're siblings. But I think it's also been like kind of different because we're going through different things at different times and then at a certain point, you know, as I got older, we were

able to maintain more of like a friendship instead of a sister ship because, you know, I feel like sometimes when you're younger and someone's older and they're like, I'm like probably annoying. And like, you know, the younger sister's probably annoying. So it's been really nice as I got older to be able to share in like some of those experiences with her and be closer to her. way because, you know, there's an age gap between us. And now it's kind of like there isn't because I'm over 21. Right. I'm cooler. Yeah. Not like it was like over 21 was the time.

But like, you know, past like 16, definitely a lot cooler than you are like 13. You start to have kind of like the same problem sort of. But like also just like the same things you're into, like same things you're doing. Then it's like you can talk about guys. When you're like 13 like you mentioned anything and I'm like, ew. Yeah. So it's like or you like here something and you're like, oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. Crazy. And then you get older and you're like, oh. Yeah. This is different. Definitely. And you have, like you said, cast is fantastic. And all of these parent type figures on this show, is there anybody who has given you, like, lifelong advice you know? I'm sure they all have, but like anything that is really stuck with you? I think the thing that sticks with all of us the most is, Ed O'Neill's, like, his, his, like, book, quote on quote, that it's not a book, but in our heads, it's a book. of tips for acting.

Okay. And it's really important to my soul because they're so funny because they're really not, like, they wouldn't be considered like immediately like super important or like things. But it's things like working smarter, not harder. Like he said one, he said one time to me. He was like, if there's a giant group scene and it's like a three page group scene, you'd be the first one to exit the scene. And I was like, oh my, I was like, well, what? And he was like, because then everybody else is stuck doing this. scene. And then he said to me, he was like, why stand when you can sit down? Why sit down when you

can lay down? Why lay down when you can be in your car driving home? And it was really like, or the things like fake eating or like if you're taking too much time, like Ty just said like he was in Ty Borel, he was taking off his shoe in a scene between the two of them. And it was taking a long time. And Ed was like, you're actually wearing the shoes? He was like, did you check to see if they were seeing the shoes? He was like, pantomime that. I kind of mind that. He was like, listen, let's make it, let's make it snappy. Make it easier. Yeah.

So honestly, Ed's will stick in my head forever because they're so funny. And he says them just like, it's like deadpan. He's so serious about it. Like it is not a joke. He is not attempting to make a joke. Like these are things that are very important to him and have become very important to me. That is, I mean, what amazing tips, obviously. I mean, he's been acting for so long.

But also, it's just so entertaining. Like, he is just such an entertaining. They're good pro tips, but also. kind of like dad tips like good. I mean, they're just like, it's, it's so random. Yeah. But it's so like true. Right. Like everything he says you, think about it and you're like, oh my God. I never thought about that. Or he's like prop food. He's like begin the scene putting down your fork like you just took a bite. And you're like, oh my God, now I don't have to have the spit bucket. I can just pretend and shoot. Like it's just random things that are actually so valuable.

Right. Just great little tips. So I think that something has, that's been kind of crazy with you as you have gotten older is the criticism that I feel like you get. People love to hate. People love to hate. And I don't really understand. Like you have obviously grown up in the spotlight. That's super hard. But I feel like people have this weird like you are Alex. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Like we're when now that you're, you're older and you obviously like are a beautiful girl. And it's like I feel like people are just. I feel like I've definitely gotten the brunt out of everyone on the show. Yeah. for sure of the criticism. And I mean, I guess, I mean, it doesn't make sense.

How do you deal with the quote unquote haters? I mean, it sucks in general. It's like because I started so young and I got like social media at the time, it was just like becoming big. And people like the era of people being like, oh my God, I can sit at home and send crappy messages to people. So cool. And it was like as I got older, you know, I developed a lot faster when I was younger. And it was like people wanted to hate on that. And I was like, okay, well, I can't do anything about that.

So fine. What do you want me to wear a bag? Yeah. It's like, yeah. It's like people hate on that. And then as I got older, it was like, I had a different kind of body. I was a curvy girl. And it was like anything you'd wear.

It was like, oh my God, a high school slut. What a horrible role model for our children or, you know, whatever. Or she looks fat. Like, you know, as you go through so many different phases with your body. And it's like really, it's hard to do in general without people commenting on it. And then you have 3,000 comments on a photo you post that you feel like you looked good in and that you were like having a good day and you were like cool I'm like happy to post this and then all the comments are not all but the majority of the comments and even though

there are lovely comments and it sucks but like the ones that stick out the majority in your mind are these horrible comments and as I get older that's what I'm trying to ignore more than anything is is those comments because really I'm only giving power to those hateful comments and that's what they want that's what fuels them yeah but you know it's definitely hard and I wouldn't say that I'm like over it and I've I've moved on and I'm like like, okay, doesn't bother me anymore. I still see some comments. I'm like, all right, that sucks.

That makes me feel bad. But I've started to really do my best to just focus on if I'm happy with myself, I'm happy. Right. I'm doing what I want to do and, you know, focus on the people that are really kind and give them the response back. Right. Because that's what people always say right there. Like you could get so many nice comments and the three really bad ones you absolutely hate. Yeah.

And those are the ones that keep you up at night. And of course, they're so detailed too. Yeah. It's like people like, people really. go into it. It's like a paragraph of what they hate about you and you're like, cool. Yeah. Cool. I could never have thought of this myself. They're like, you're

you know, your, you know, your canine tooth is just like a little too long and you're like, I've never looked at that myself. Yeah. Like how do we get there? Like I'm not even smiling in this photo. My teeth aren't even out in this photo. I'm like, what are you talking about? Where'd you find that? Yeah. It's like people, people go in depth

with stuff. It really is crazy. People are serious. I feel like we got to wrap up here. I'm getting eyeballs. Thank you so much for joining me. This was fantastic.
