Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. Hopefully everyone had an amazing weekend,
Starting point is 00:00:31 and we're starting off the day great with some chicks in the office. You put this bad boy on on your Monday. And you're like, let's get things rolling. Happy Monday. Monday. I'm tired. I'm a little tired this morning for sure. I'm trying to jump up the energy.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Would you do this weekend? Really nothing too crazy at all. I was in the city. There's not many weekends in the summer that I am here. But I had a... It was my cousin's high school graduation party in New Jersey on Saturday. And I was just bouncing around in the city. Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:18 But, like, also not really doing anything. Okay. Laying low. That sounds nice. It was nice. It was quiet until Sunday. Gee and I had a little sister's day. Went shopping.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Went to brunch. Wow. Then we went to the movies. That sounds magical. Yeah, it was nice. Did you see Little Mermaid? We did. Don't spoil anything.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I think I'm going to go next weekend. I loved it. I did. I'm excited to see it. It takes a second to like get used to the whole live action thing. Like the first time you see Sebastian, you're kind of like, okay. Yeah. This is talking crap, you know, but it's because it's just a little funky without the animation.
Starting point is 00:02:00 I feel like they look like real animals that are talking. Right. I feel like that happens a lot with the live action. Yeah. Like the Lion King, you just take. a little getting used to. Exactly. And then, and it was really, I mean, she is just fantastic, Hallie Bailey.
Starting point is 00:02:13 So good. Ugh. She said, this sounded amazing. Prince Eric did a great job. Looks like him. Wilson McCarthy, I couldn't tell if I, like, if it was, like, so bad I liked it or it was good, you know? Mm-hmm. It was, it felt like a caricature almost, if that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yeah. I don't really know if Melissa McCarthy would have been my pick for Ursula if I was doing the casting here. But she pulled it off. It's like you kind of forget the silly things. Not the silly things, but the point in the movie where you're like, oh, this into live action, like halfway through I looked at G. I was like, oh my God, wait. What are they going to do when Ursula like gets ginormous? Is it just going to be giant Melissa McCarthy?
Starting point is 00:03:08 Like they're just going to make her this giant monster, which, you know. You know, they did. They did, but in a, you know, creative way. Some new songs that I didn't really love. But other than that, I enjoyed it. I love those live action Disney, specifically the princess ones. Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, I loved. Oh, I loved Beauty and the Beast.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I don't think I saw the Cinderella. Oh, Lily James Cinderella is so good. I have to watch that. Cinderella was my favorite princess. You never saw that one? Oh, my God. I bought that one on iTunes. That's how much I liked it.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Oh my gosh. It was like my go-to plane. I don't have anything to put on. Let me watch Cinderella. Holy James Cinderella. I'm going to see a little mermaid this weekend, I think. It was good. There's some good movies that are out that I'm very late to.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Like I still haven't seen Guardians, which is bad on me. And the new Spider-Verse just came out also. Lots to catch up on. Lots of movies to go to. I went minigolfing this weekend, which I hadn't done in years. And I loved every second. of it. I was. How'd you play? Man. So, reviewing the game tape in my head,
Starting point is 00:04:16 I was pushing instead of putting. And it's a regret of mine. I went with my sister, my brother-in-law, and Marty. And Marty came in first. My sister, second, and then me and my brother-in-law tied. Oh. My sister was so good. Like, Marty was obviously good, but my sister, like, she lost by one point. Yeah. She was so good. and my brother-in-law and I,
Starting point is 00:04:44 and we just, we just clearly get the hang of it. I mean, like, we were good. We were fine, but, like, my first shot was always good. And then when I was closer to the hole, I'd fuck it up. And I was pushing instead of putting after reviewing in my head. And I can't wait to play again in the near future, hopefully. Maybe we can go as group. Mini Golf is fun.
Starting point is 00:05:04 I'm good at minigolf. I haven't gotten in years. And so I was excited to go. We were just sitting around at my house a long. Island and my sister was like man you know I wish we can go mini golfing I was like wait you definitely yeah I'm sure why don't we not that far away yeah and we ended up going and it was great I the last time I went minigolfing was on uh pier whatever whichever one is like close to city vineyard kind of I don't I forget and um and I beat you wow yeah good for you
Starting point is 00:05:34 yeah yeah I uh I got to work on my my mini golfing game but I had a lot of fun I had fun doing There were some hooligans ahead of us, though. Oh. You know? There's always... There's always... Friday night at the mini-golf course. You should expect some...
Starting point is 00:05:50 Like teenagers or young kids? No, no, they were older than teenagers. They were probably my age. But I would consider them hooligans, and I was not being a hooligan. Was there a bar at this place? No, I was having a respectful mini-golf tournament, and they were having a hooligan tournament. Although they were drinking power raids, which... Which made me skeptical.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Oh, you saw like maybe there was something else in there? I don't know. They were a bunch of nerds, though. There weren't even like cool hooligans. Whoa. We're really coming at these people. So they were they taking too long in front of you? They were like hooting and hollering on the course.
Starting point is 00:06:27 You know what I mean? There were like seven of them. But nerds you would do hollering. They were nerdy hooters and hollers. They were not cool hooters and hollers. What did you say? I was saying. It sounds like you want dead silence, like a real golf.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Yeah, I know. Please respect the game. It wasn't that they were being loud. It was just we're tailing them. And they're like, you can't get it in. Like, just fucking putt or move on, bro. Bad jokes. Yeah, like they weren't even funny.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Listen, I was down to have a good time. But they were like nerdy gulgians. If we ever went minigolfing with Trent. Yeah, we should. The whole team. We should do that with trying. That would be so fun. That would be a good time.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I'm big on minigoth now. I'm good at minigolf. Played on the cave. A little friendly competition. Yeah. For your first class seat. No. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:07:26 That'd be a little fun. Dream on. We did put money on it, which always makes it more exciting. No holding once. No, I was so close a couple of times. I'm too powerful. Bounced out. Like you said, she was pushing up.
Starting point is 00:07:38 button. Yeah, I was pushing out button, reviewing the game tape in my head, but I'll be back at it. I absolutely love using Instacart. I use Instacart every single week for one delivery or another. I am always using Instacart specifically for groceries because

California resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California financing law license. I had a crazy dream last night that Alexander Scarsguard he should be happy he was cast as the main role in my dream last night he was the main part and it was scary he like played basically a combination of his succession character and his big little eyes character oh and it was i was running fearing for my life against alexander scars guard in my dreams last
Starting point is 00:09:33 night i woke up in a sweat tossing and turning i i swear was he chasing you yes i was like physically chasing And then honestly, when I fell back to sleep I was like, wait, that was Alexander Scarsgard Like I was kind of Like I was no one of face to the Like a name to the face No, in my dream I was scared of him
Starting point is 00:09:54 Yeah, yeah, yeah And then I was like, wait, he's famous And I was like this is kind of cool And then the second part was Which was all combination It was just a wild like It was almost like an episode of Dave In my dreams last night
Starting point is 00:10:08 With the amount of cameos Speaking of Dave. I have dreams like that often. No, I didn't finish. But no. We were offered Kanye on our podcast and we like had a... In the dream. In the dream.
Starting point is 00:10:21 I just got my ears. I was like, wait, what? Yeah, yeah. And we had like an intense debate on whether or not to have him. Because obviously, like, we're like he would say some crazy shit and we get a lot of views, but also we don't want to give Kanye a platform to say that stuff. That's a big fat, no. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:39 But in the dream. Madison Beer was like really advocating for Kanye to come on our podcast in tough look for Madison in tears like she was like you gotta give him a chance oh my God of all people it was a very bizarre cameo filled dream night
Starting point is 00:10:58 like almost I think that I do have I do have nights like that also I would become an award winning director writer producer if I just took all my dreams and made them into movies. If you just took a bunch of really fucking famous people and put them all together.
Starting point is 00:11:16 No, but not even that. I feel like we're not too far away from being able to record your dreams. Which would be awesome if I could replay them for everybody because mine are crazy. Like, I don't think I want that. Oh, I don't want it. But I'm saying like I could easily see it in like 20 years Elon Musk. Yeah, I could see that. I remember most of my dreams when I wake up.
Starting point is 00:11:35 I have very vivid dreams every night. Which people say that that means you're not. fully sleeping. Yeah. Which, you know what? I would like for the dreams to not appear some nights. Because sometimes I feel like I didn't, well, I guess that's the truth that you're not fully sleeping.
Starting point is 00:11:51 I'm like, man, that was so action-packed. I didn't even get to rest. I was too busy watching the movie in my head. They're so crazy. They're so good. Like I said, I would be an award-winning movie producer-director. Well, clearly you remember all of them. I know, but I don't have like the.
Starting point is 00:12:10 budget and I don't have the resources. Fair. To create the films. Fair. Like Alexander Scarsgard running after me while we're on the phone debating if Kanye should come on the podcast, I don't have the resources for that. No. So. No.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Unfortunately, I don't know if those will ever come to fruition. No. Maybe. Maybe not that one, but other ones could be potentially possible. I should start writing them down when I wake up. Yeah. Dream Journal. I should start doing that.
Starting point is 00:12:42 People love dream journals. But people don't like hearing about other people's dreams. That's why you write them in a journal. Right. Because that's just for yourself. Yeah. And you can go back and read them. Like I feel like in high school and middle school, that was always the thing.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Like, okay, nobody cares about the dream you had last night. Yeah. Or I'm like, nobody cares about the weather. Yeah. What? Like, were you just like going up to people in high school? Like, hey, you want to hear about my dream? Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Because I have such crazy dreams. Or maybe a. my there's one dream that like really has stuck with me since I was a little kid that I had. Do you have a dream like that? Like it I can't even, it's one of those you can't even put into words. You know what I mean? Like the wiggles and my head was in a well. Oh no.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And then the wiggles were at my school and Elmo was being served at a buffet. Like one of those. You see like none of those things makes sense. No. But it's one that I had when I was younger that I will always remember because it was like my go to like you want to hear the craziest dream i've ever had yeah no i don't really have one that was like craziest dream ever i had one i have like a couple reoccurring ones that are not like when i'm stressed out and my teeth are falling out because i have that one all the time really oh yeah
Starting point is 00:13:58 oh that's not good i always get i always get that when i literally quite literally anytime i actually feel like i'm very stressed i have the the teeth dream oh and which is what they say but there was one that I would always have which was my house growing up I it was like kid jungle gym you know uh p b and jay honor how they would have the slide that would go from the room to the kitchen yeah so I from my bedroom I would have a slide that would go down but it was like a secret slide and it would go down it wouldn't go into the kitchen but would go into like this underground cave but like arcade games and TV like just like all really cool stuff
Starting point is 00:14:47 I always I would have that dream often and then some kind of dream about meeting Nick Jonas at a mall and him falling in love with me I've had that many times and it was always a mall Is that a dream or like a wish like is that I mean it was a wish at one point yes and then you willed it into a dream yes yes I've talked about it before but I used to did you ever like get excited to go to sleep because you were like going to have a dream like you were yeah I mean I I forget what it's is it called like lucid dreaming or what is like if you fall asleep thinking about something you dream about it no but lucid dreaming lucid dreaming is you know that I can't
Starting point is 00:15:23 do that anymore lucid dreaming is when you know that you're dreaming like in the moment yeah oh no no control your own destiny it's in section I can't do that it would be like I if I fell asleep actively thinking about something I could dream yeah but like I I I I I had like a long phase where I would just dream about that me and London Tipton were dating. I love that. And so I would get excited to go to sleep. I'm like, all right. Hang out with my girlfriend tonight.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Off to dream world. Back to my girl, London Tipton. Ooh, what are we going to do tonight? That's funny. Yeah. Yeah, those were really my two, I don't know, it was like fun, cool, hidden cave, kid cave. That sounds like a blast. With a slide in the house.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I'm jealous. I've always, I don't know. what it is, but after that Peeby and Jai Otter, and then there was like, or you could have the bed, the bunk beds with the slide. Oh yeah. The slide down. It was cool, yeah. Yeah, maybe one day. I know, I know. All right, let's get into the topics for today's podcast. We're going to be talking about Maddie Healy. Groundbreaking topics, guys. We're going to be talking about Maddie Healy kissing security guard at his show, the idol controversy, the new show on Max with the weekend and Lily Rose Depp. Oh, God, I hate
Starting point is 00:16:37 myself for saying Max. I'm just going to say HBO. I'm adapting to the times. Yeah, you're listening to what they're selling. Oh, no, HBO. And then Kim Cottrell filmed a scene for and just like that, although she didn't have to interact with anybody in the cast, which really makes me wonder what the hell happens. And we have a great game of trivia. So let's get into it. Start off with the topics. Sometimes the days can get so crazy that you forget to make time for fun. When that happens, you've got to choose to chill. So go ahead and say, to midweek happy hour and catching the game after work. And while you're at it, enjoy an ice-cold Coors Light, the beer that's made to chill.
Starting point is 00:17:16 There's only one beer out there that's literally made to chill, and that's Coors-Light. The Mounds on the bottles and cans, even turn blue when your beer is cold. That way you always know when it's time to chill. So when you're making time to chill, crack open to Coors-Light. It's Mountain Cold Refreshment. You know, we're headed to Denver this week. Denver always makes you think of Cors-Light had that great trip to the brewery when we were out there, which was an amazing experience.
Starting point is 00:17:43 And Coors Light, when we need a little moment, we're traveling a lot. Got to make time for fun. Sit at the bar, have a nice cold Coors Light. So when you choose to chill, pair your plans with an ice cold Coors Light. Get Coors Light delivered straight to your door with Drizzi or Instacart by going to Coorslight.com slash chicks. And always celebrate responsibly from Coorsbring Company, Golden Colorado. Cheers.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes. All right, let's start off with Maddie Healy kissing the security guard at his concert. This is something that Maddie Healy has done for quite some time, always kissing people at his concerts. It stopped for a little bit, and it definitely stopped when Taylor Swift was at his show in January. But now it looks like he's back at it.
Starting point is 00:18:30 He kissed the male security guard right on the lips. Yeah. Kind of one right on him. I have really, like, no commentary for this except it is, yeah. I feel like he was never going to stop doing this. This is his thing. And he does it during the same song, and he's been doing it for a long time,
Starting point is 00:18:48 and nobody's going to get this guy down. He's going to do, he's going to kiss whoever he wants to. And I just, I feel like in the realm of if he really is, like, in a full-blown relationship with Taylor Swift, it's like, this is what he does. Do you think that maybe they have, like, a rule that he can kiss guys, but he can't kiss girls? No, I really don't think you can put a single.
Starting point is 00:19:10 I don't think that man has rules and I don't think anybody could bestow rules upon him. I think if anybody could, I think it could be Taylor. Like, I think he looks at her in a different light. I... Maybe, I don't know. I don't think so. Really? I don't really like respect him enough to think that he would listen to
Starting point is 00:19:27 anybody else, but he just seems like a selfish guy. You know, he's like, this is my thing, I'm going to keep doing it. I guess so. You know, he did have a quote the other day that I did sort of agree with, which this may be controversial. And I sent it to Keats. I got to get it.
Starting point is 00:19:45 You sent it to us. I did send you guys and nobody answered me. You're all like, how dare you? Right. But it's like, okay, obviously I don't agree with everything he does and says. Obviously, he has said some awful things. But he said something about, he said, it doesn't actually matter.
Starting point is 00:20:05 nobody's sitting there at night slumped at their computer and their boyfriend comes over and goes, what's wrong, darling? And they go, it's just this thing with Maddie Healy. That doesn't happen. That is true. And if that is happening, like, you got to focus on other things. Like, I just don't like that he used that as an excuse to, like, say mean, rude things. I will say that, like, I don't even know what that was in context to.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Yeah. But I agree. It was in context to him talking about ice spice. Yeah. Okay. But what he's saying is true about most things, like in life where if you were staying up late at night and you're like hunched over and you're like, and you're huffing and you're stressed out and your significant other says to you, what's wrong? Yeah. And you're like, man, it's just this Maddie Healy's dating Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Like you got to focus on something else. That's what I'm taking that else. That is true, but it doesn't change the fact that like if you said bad things. It doesn't mean you could say bad things and it doesn't excuse bad things. But I'm just saying that that's probably, that probably is true. And if you are like losing sleep over Maddie Healy, Dane Taylor Swift, like, you have to focus on other things. Yeah. No, that's definitely fair.
Starting point is 00:21:22 I think, you know, as far as that goes like, it's like you can't control other people. And that's one thing that he is very clear about. But I think he also underestimates what having like a platform means. Yeah, that could be true too. I feel like he's like, I can say whatever the fuck I want, nobody should care. But it's like, well, you have a platform and your voice is heard by a lot of people and you shouldn't use it to be a dick. Right. And but yeah, the fact, but I also do agree in that like.
Starting point is 00:22:04 if somebody says something you don't like, you can definitely not like it, but don't let it really personally affect you that much. Don't lose sleep over it. Like don't let it ruin your day. That is the only part I agree with. I'm not saying I agree with what Maddie Healy's saying and doing. I just think that like, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:26 if this man obviously he has a big influence and shouldn't be saying some things, but like don't lose sleep over. Yeah. I'm hoping that this, I'm hoping that now like, you know, 1975 they're doing shows again. I'm hoping he's busy. She's busy.
Starting point is 00:22:39 And this whole thing just fizzles out. I just, I'm like, what if, you know. Groundbreaking headline out of Chicago this weekend as well. That's where Taylor Swift performed this week. She swallowed a bug Sunday night on stage. Our hero. Super unfortunate during the Evermore set. I was laughing as G and I walked out of the movie theater
Starting point is 00:23:01 because we went to the movie kind of late. Very hard to see The Little Mermaid anywhere in New York City on Sunday. Like could not get a normal afternoon ticket. And then I was like, duh, it's, you know, this time you take little kids to the movies. We're like, why can't we see this movie at 3 p.m.? So we went at 9 p.m. But when we walked out, she was looking at her phone. She was like, oh, my God, look at this tweet.
Starting point is 00:23:25 And it was like such a serious tweet. Like Taylor Swift swallows Buck to Rer Evermore set tonight in Chicago. That's bound to happen eventually. Things are flying on stage. There's rain. There's wind. Chicago's windy. Swallin bugs.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Picks up a bug not to right into your mouth. I saw a TikTok the other day that just, you know, you ever have the fear that like when you're sleeping, you feel like there's a bug. There isn't a bug or like you feel like there's like a scratch and you're like, oh my God, was that a bug? and people always say, you know, the odds are if you're sleeping, there could be a bug. Like you're asleep, especially if you're breathing with your mouth open, which, you know, that's a different conversation. But it's that it could happen.
Starting point is 00:24:17 This TikTok, this woman, she felt like her ear was congested. Her daughter poured a little, what's the, hydrogen, oxide into her ear because I guess it's like I don't know I was supposed to make your wax bubble up or something and so she did that a little teeny tiny bit and this spider crawled out of her ear and I and I just I nearly threw my phone across the room I was like oh my god that has now climbed its way to being one of my bigger fears in life is that a creature crawls into my ear as I'm sleeping thank God it came out I know it did come right out but she
Starting point is 00:25:01 They both started screaming. Oh, my God. Find a different home. I know. At that point, I would rather just swallow a bug. Yeah, definitely. I'd rather voluntarily eat a cockroach. Just be like, oh, my God, just, you know, down the hatch.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Then I don't, you know, maybe a couple bites. Make sure it's totally dead. Yum yum, yum. And just toss it back. But yeah, poor Taylor, just eating bugs. Yeah. Literally, if you were like, would you rather eat a cockroach right now? or you find out there's a spider stuck in your ear and it comes out.
Starting point is 00:25:34 I would... I'd eat a cockroach. I'd be munt on that cockroach so fast. Yeah, 100%. Just like that. Just close my eyes and do it. She's also bringing Sabrina Carpenter on tour in South America, which fans were like, damn, because there was always, like,
Starting point is 00:25:51 rumors that she would bring Olivia Rodrigo on tour. Yeah, I feel like... That clearly didn't happen. There were rumors that Olivia Rodrigo said no to doing the show. Yeah. Maybe because... I don't know. There was like she was always,
Starting point is 00:26:05 always posting about Taylor Swift. And then stopped. It feels like something had to have happened. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe... Now she's bringing Sabrina Carpenter. Interesting. Good for Sabrina Carpenter, though.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I know. That's a awesome opportunity. All right. Let's move on to the Idol, which is the new show on HBO. It's getting absolutely suckers. How about that, HBO? You like that?
Starting point is 00:26:28 I'm not saying Max any longer. Can you actually watch this show? on HBO? Hasn't exist. Yeah, I mean, on your TV. On your TV cable. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:36 So that's what I'm saying. Like, is it on. Oh, I have no idea. I don't have cable. Yeah. The Idol with Lily Rose Depp and The Weekend, A.K. A.B. Is just getting destroyed all over the internet. Noah, you're the only one who has watched out of the three of us.
Starting point is 00:26:51 What did you think of the show? I thought it was just, yeah, like trying to be overly artsy when there was, like, nothing going on. Like a lot of nudity, which like, I have no problem with. But like, it's just. Yeah, sure. I'll take it. Like, hey.
Starting point is 00:27:10 But it's just like, why? Like, we don't need, like, there's just a lot of, I don't know, it's weird. Like, the weekend's character is very from the first episode. It's like not a great guy. Yeah. That's why sometimes like with Sam Levinson, obviously, you know, also does euphoria. It's just like, it's the over. exposure of certain things
Starting point is 00:27:33 that it's just like I don't like when people cry like this is my art but it's just like unnecessary additions like he's just a horny arty guy it's similar to euphoria and like it's shot very well
Starting point is 00:27:48 and like it has this like cool look to it but it is like what is going on I feel like I've seen this show a million times where it's like some star who's like damaged and like they're trying to redo her image and like it's all the people like surrounding it's like I don't know basically it's like entourage but euphoria it gives me entourage mixed with yeah euphoria but like way more rated R like I don't get it like pretty graphic pretty graphic yeah my sister texts me and she said it
Starting point is 00:28:18 was pretty weird yeah and I think that's the overall opinion I I wonder if it I would I doubt it's going to get renewed for a second season like I feel like critics have just destroyed it so much but I feel like people are going to watch. Like, I'm going to keep watching. Yeah, I mean, I'm definitely going to watch it just because I now need to know what everyone's talking about. Yeah, but people love that stuff. True. Euphoria, like, Euphoria, Dave, like anything about the industry, I feel like people love.
Starting point is 00:28:47 True. And that's a 25% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 57% audience score. It says that critics' consensus, every bit as flawed and sleazy as the industry, seeks to satirize that's a word yes the idol places itself on a pedestal with unbridled style but wiltz under the spotlight it's kind of a lot of words feel like it had potential and then it got too weird i heard i've seen other people talk about saying that like it had a ton of potential and then sam leminson and the weekend like pretty much signed on and like took it over and like ruined it yeah i mean they're there are t guys they have a vision and we're
Starting point is 00:29:32 We may not see that vision. I wonder what the weekend feels like. Oh my God, I literally can't. Sorry, but the shit people put, like, right on the internet is just out of this world. This, what, this Google review is, Sam Levinson is a legend and goaded, and I hope he gets even more projects. And the fact that he triggers prude so much makes him even better. Like, whoa. Sam Levinson's just built different.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Okay. I'm a prude. Like, whoa. There's a difference between being a prude. rude and being like, why does this need to be shown on TV? And also like, exactly. And then, you know, you know that there's also just weird, creepy dudes, like writing reviews. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Like, tell me this is not like a guy in his basement. Amazing show. I love beautiful, erotic sex scenes with Lily Rose Depp. Like, okay, whoa. That's just a guy who's super horny that doesn't talk to girls in real life. That's like, oh my God, give me any naked woman I can find. Please, I need to see them all. This headline is despite the controversy,
Starting point is 00:30:36 the idol is mostly guilty of being just plain boring. The People's Review HBO's controversial news series is a mess. The Idol premiere provides no reason to continue watching. All right, so not great reviews. It's obviously very next. But if you're a horny guy in your basement. What's that guy's name? The other guy in it, you would know him.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Uh, it's Dan, uh, no, but Dan, there were some people who I'm like, oh, why, they're in this. Yeah. But the one guy, he has, like, an Italian accent and he's not, he's just, like, doing an accent, but you would know him. He's, he's, he's been in so many other things. What's his name? Um, let's see. I love the idea of a fake Italian accent, like, Lady Gaga and House of Gucci. Oh, Hank, Hank Azaria.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Oh. He's just, like, Italian in this. It's, like, so random. That doesn't make any sense. But yeah, I guess that's the part. He can play Italian. Yeah. If he can play Italian.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Clearly, he can play Italian. Oh, man. All right. So we'll have to watch that so we can feel what all the contract. We'll have to check it out. We'll talk about it on Friday. But yeah. Are rising prices stressing you out?

Starting point is 00:33:06 Cancel unwanted subscriptions and manage your expenses the easy way by going to RocketMoney.com slash chicks. That's rocketmoney.com slash chicks. Rocketmoney.com slash chicks. And then last up, Kim Cottrell filmed a scene for and just like that. Not with anybody in the show. I am dying to know where they went wrong. Like I just need to know the behind the scenes of sex in the city and like where the feud began.
Starting point is 00:33:36 What happened? Feels like it was really early on. Like it just was continued throughout the show that her and it was like a little clicky that she and Sarah Jessica Parker just did not click. See, like I understand sometimes you just don't click with people. Like you're not going to click with everybody. But sometimes I feel like you just got to put your differences aside, no? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:58 100%. I agree on that. think they did that to get through the show. But it's been so long. I think you read a certain age that you're like, I really don't want to fucking work with this person anymore, you know? Or you reach a certain age where you're like, who cares? Let the past be the past.
Starting point is 00:34:15 That's true. That's true. She did go, Kim did go very hard on the side of like, I will never do this again. They got her to film a scene, apparently, where she speaks on the phone. to carry. But doesn't have to actually, like, obviously doesn't have to actually speak on the phone to anyone. She can just hold the phone up to her ear and talk, and that's the whole thing. So, I mean, I think it, it's nice for fans to get that moment because in the show, there is, and I'm also just speaking from what I'm reading, I've watched about two episodes of, and just like that, it was like, this is.
Starting point is 00:35:01 not for me and it was like you know there was a little bit of a falling out but they text they haven't seen each other but there's still like some kind of open forms of communication now I guess like this is a phone call between them
Starting point is 00:35:20 which is obviously nice it's a win for Kim because she'll get a paycheck and she doesn't have to interact with anybody yeah and it makes obviously it makes the die hard sex of the city fans happy, I think, to have that in their world still be a connection, even though it is kind of hard when you know so much in the real world that she didn't want to do this. I mean, not specifically this, but she didn't want to be involved at all. Yeah, it's almost like, don't tell us that.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Let the magic stay behind the curtain. I know, I know. Unfortunately, sometimes we know too much. Yeah, I feel like we know too much where it's just like, oh, that's nice that she's doing that. We still know that she hates all of them. Yeah, that's unfortunate. Like, okay, she's, you did it but we know they're not actually on the phone yeah yeah you saw a tweet last night that um because because now they have the for you thing on twitter yes and so like you just see so many random tweets that somebody posted a clip from black swan and was like i'm way too high to be watching this like oh my god i know she's pretending wow i never even thought of that yeah but like that'll psych you out if you start watching tv tv shows and movies which you're
Starting point is 00:36:30 through the lens of, man, they're just pretending, you're never going to enjoy anything ever again. No, no. And I was reading the replies to the tweets. That quite literally eliminates the magic of acting. I was reading the replies to the tweets being like, man, why'd you have to ruin this for me? It's like, just try not to think about it. Right. It's like you, damn, watching a little mermaid.
Starting point is 00:36:50 She's not really a mermaid. Oh, my God. It's all CGI. That thought quickly leaves, though. Yeah. No, that's, I would hope, or else you really can't watch anything. again for the rest of your life. All right, that wraps up the topics, and we have...
Starting point is 00:37:05 Guys, another, we need something crazy to happen. Let's manifest that. Kylie Jenner, smoking six. Yeah, she is. Or she's holding them. Bringing them outside. Who just holds a package? No, she does.
Starting point is 00:37:19 If Timothy's like, hey, I got to, like, you hold this. You know, definitely smoke cigarettes, Timothy Shalmay. And, you know, sometimes you do cool things. You try and do cool things to, like, not, I mean, smoking is not cool. Smoking is not cool. It is cool. But you want to look cool. It looks cool.
Starting point is 00:37:34 To a fellow smoker. So maybe she's just jumping in on it. I feel like all those people do. Like remember when we saw Olivia Jade and Jacob Lorrie? I mean like Kendall Jenner definitely smoked cigarettes. You think so? 100%. Really?
Starting point is 00:37:47 Yes. I think all the models smoke cigarettes. Really? Yeah. Interesting habit. Yeah. Yeah. You're telling me after a runway show in Paris,
Starting point is 00:37:58 they're not stepping out on the street and having having some sigs. They definitely are. They definitely are. We should start smoking sigs after our live shows. Like the only time we do it is we step outside
Starting point is 00:38:08 and we have a cigarette. We should do it on, in the show, on the stage. We light it on stage. I still, I've gone almost 29 years now without ever smoking a cigarette. That's very impressive.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Marty hasn't either. Ever. That's crazy. I think it's crazy too. Never. We should all do it. I don't plan on it. So my first time was with you.
Starting point is 00:38:28 I have no, I don't plan on it. not ever smoking. I was like trying to push him to try. I mean, I don't smoke cigarettes, but we were talking about it at my house. And I was like, I can't believe you've never tried one.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Like, you just got to try it. My dad was like, no, no, don't tell him to try it. He was like, you stick to it. Don't try it. It's something about like when you're drunk. It's just like something to do. I haven't smoked one years. It's more social in terms of like if you're at a bar and people like,
Starting point is 00:38:52 oh, you want to go out, like you just go outside for a second. See, like I just don't think I would do that now because I actually can remember the last time, like drunk, drunkenly had one. I think I was with Brianna, chicken fry. And I literally thought I was going to puke everywhere after I think that was the last time. But it wasn't
Starting point is 00:39:10 like something I did often. I'm not like really inhaling it either. You're just holding it to a fake in it. No, no, I'm doing it. Sounds like maybe you're not. I'm doing it. Sounds like maybe you're not. I was scared for a while because I kind of have slight asthma. I was like, what if I, doesn't matter. It's actually
Starting point is 00:39:26 impressive that. I know it's trying too hard to look cool. Not me, my sister, my brother, none of us smoke. And my parents... I think it skips a generation. Like, it's, you know... Both my parents smoked for so long. My dad doesn't anymore.
Starting point is 00:39:41 My mom still does. Although she doesn't look like a smoker, which always amazes me because she is so beautiful and, like, looks great. I'm going to say, are all smokers just scary beasts? No, because there's like a... What's the word I'm looking for? A stereotype when it comes to, like, When a stigma picture smoke, yeah, it was a stigma.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Yeah. And it's just like, you know, whatever, besides the point. But me and my siblings, we don't smoke. And my parents smoked all the time. And it was so embarrassing when I would go into school and my backpack would smell. And it would piss me off so much. And it is obviously such a generational thing too. Like our parents, everybody was smoking.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Now it's such a mix. Like we had it ingrained in our brain so young That it was so bad for you And now, but now you know We live in a world of vapes And all those And now everyone's Like now all the kids got a fucking vape in their hand
Starting point is 00:40:39 You used to watch 13 year olds on the street They got vapes in their hand It's kind of crazy none of us vape Nobody on the team vapes Yeah No Sorry do you secretly vape No she does not
Starting point is 00:40:48 I saw a really funny TikTok of It was just like this guy He's like me as a kid Walking past a smoker Trying to make them feel really bad And it's him being like Oh, I did that all the time. I did that too.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I would always do that. I used to be like, like, you're killing yourself. Like, what do you do? More like, not like walking down the street. I was just around it too much. But more in a public place. I'm not going to lie, sometimes when I still to this day, get stuck behind somebody smoking a cigarette and walking down the streets in New York.
Starting point is 00:41:15 That's brutal. And I'm behind them and you're just downwind. It's just blowing in your face the whole time. And they're always walking really fast. Oh my God. They're walking fast. I'm like, I'm stuck here. Then I got to like put on a really fast.
Starting point is 00:41:26 walk to kind of go around them. Sometimes I'll throw a side eye. Really? Yeah, just stop on a corner as smoke your cigarette. You don't need to walk and smoke. Listen, guys, I've had to adjust my life for two smokers. My parents. So I'm
Starting point is 00:41:42 You're used to it. I'm used to it. I'm accustomed to it. No. My dad doesn't smoke anymore. My mom does. That must be hard for him. Yeah, he jewels. But like, it's definitely more tolerable. than somebody smoking cigarettes.
Starting point is 00:41:58 My mom love her, but she just fucking loves her cigarettes and she's never going to let it go. Like we've accepted that that woman is never going to stop smoking. She in fourth grade, my parents got addictive habit. It is.
Starting point is 00:42:14 In fourth grade, my parents got hypnotized to stop smoking. Like my mom's... When you were in fourth grade. When I was in fourth grade. When I was in fourth grade, my parents got hypnotized to stop smoking. my mom's boss brought everybody at her job like everybody who smokes like we're all going to stop smoking and they stuck with it until one day my dad went to go pick up my mom from work they which never like
Starting point is 00:42:40 they had their own cars just this one day and he caught her smoking on the side of her job and oh my god I can remember the day because they came home and my dad was so pissed he was so pissed he We opened up a pack of cigarettes in the house and started smoking them. He was out, oh, you're going to smoke? Well, I'm going to smoke. And we're all just sitting there like, what? What's happening? They're smoking again.
Starting point is 00:43:07 And then from that day on, my dad started smoking. He did. He was like, fuck that. If you're going to smoke, I'm going to smoke. I'm going to smoke. I'm like, oh, my parents. I thought my life was ending. They can't stop smoking.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Can't stop smoking. And then, but then my dad eventually quit. Yeah. It is what it is, you know? Yeah. Can't force anybody to do anything they don't want to do. No. You know, you can't.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Anyways. Anyways, Kylie Jenner was holding a pack of cigarettes. Holding a pack of cigarettes. And now you got to know about my family life. The ups and downs. That damn fourth grade hypnosis. Cigarette smoking in the Chiffo House. Did not work.
Starting point is 00:43:45 Damn it. Okay, back to trivia. All right. We have a great game of trivia. Oh, because really what I was saying is that there was, we're light on activity. It's the beginning of summer. Everybody's on vacation. Nobody's doing anything crazy

Starting point is 00:45:08 Thank you for having us. All right. I'm excited. We're going to jump right into it. It's going to be 15 questions. Whoever is the most points at the end wins. If you get a question wrong, the other team can steal. And it's that simple.
Starting point is 00:45:21 To determine who goes first, Noah is going to give us a movie. We are going to guess the Rotten Tomato score. Everyone gets their own guess. We'll alternate guesses. The critic score. And whoever is the closest, that team will get to go first. So, Noah, what is today's movie? Today's movie is a more recent movie, not like your usual Rotten Tomatoes movie.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Cocaine Bear. Cocaine Bear, interesting. I don't know why you would say that's not a typical Rotten Tomatoes movie. It's not like a rom-com. No, I'm talking about using in this. Oh, you mean for this section of the show? Yeah. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:45:59 I got you. That's fair. Okay, so one of you guys threw out a guess first. I have never even heard of this movie. So I'm going to go with 33%. I'll go 58. Um, 23. I sneaky think cocaine bear got like a high score.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I'm going to go 78. Fran is the closest at 67. Wow. All right. Pretty good score. Yeah. I kind of want to see it. Wait, I'm not the closest.
Starting point is 00:46:39 What? I'm not the closest. What do you mean? 67. I said 78. That's 11. Yeah. She said, Megan said 58.
Starting point is 00:46:49 That's nine. Oh. Oh. Oh. Megan. Yeah. There are my math skills. Yeah, I was going to say.
