Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday, presented by Monster Energy Ultra. All you need for that Friday energy. Monster Energy Ultra.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Honestly, my take, I think that was good. Yeah, I think we're going to go with that one. We are really procrastinating recording and we wrote a little Monster Energy Ultra jingle because once again, this podcast is presented to you guys by Monster Energy Ultra. Yep. And it is Sunday. We are not recording on Friday. So, you know, we're giving you that Friday energy on a Sunday slash Monday.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Yeah. We were both. Well, not, we were not both away. It was just me. You were away. And so we didn't record on Friday. Yeah. And to get us.
Starting point is 00:01:13 ready for the podcast. You know what we're drinking. The Violet Monster Energy Ultras. Violet Monster Energy Ultras. I've been seeing you guys tag us all over Instagram. You know that it is the best choice for your energy drink. It has zero sugar, low calories, and it tastes like a purple pixie stick. It tastes like candy, guys. Who doesn't want to drink candy? I love candy. You love candy. Halloween. It's Halloween. Halloween season. Right. So instead of, you know, indulging on all that candy. You can get your energy from a Monster Energy Ultra. Yep. So if you're feeling slow today, you're feeling sluggish. You need your Friday energy up. Go get that Monster Energy Ultra. They have the Violet Can, which is our favorite. They also have the Ultra Zero White Can. Actually,
Starting point is 00:01:57 my brother's friends were at my house Friday night and they were drinking the Monster Energy Ultra Zero White Can tasted it. Tasted very good as well. Yeah. So add that to the list of my favorites. The ones that we like. They also have Paradise, Sunrise, Red, Blue. And of course, everyone is used to that usual black and green can from Monster Energy. But this time around, it is an energy drink that gives you all the energy you need without the sugar and calories that come along with it. So guys, go drink that Monster Energy Ultra. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Fran, you were just saying that it is basically Halloween. People are already dressing up. We have, I was even going to say, like, we don't even have anything to contribute to Halloween. Like, we, I kind of had to panic this weekend because I would. I wasn't in the city. So like some of my friends were already dressing up for stuff, but I wasn't here. And I have a Halloween party on Friday night.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I have absolutely no idea what I'm what I'm dressing up as. Well, we could figure it out for you. I got lucky because my excuse as to why I'm not dressing up for Halloween, which I actually love Halloween and I love dressing up. But I had a wedding this past weekend. And I also have a wedding Friday night the night after Halloween. And I don't think I'm going to go out Thursday night for Halloween. you know so I think I'm just not dressing up for Halloween this year but I do get to wear
Starting point is 00:03:16 nice pretty dresses two weekends in a row which I like right there it's still dressing up in a different kind of way yes I'm trying to think of what I want to do I I'm not sure because it sucks too when it's you're like kind of last it's weird Halloween's weird it's on a Thursday but like people are just celebrating for weeks like I thought in my head it was like oh Halloween's a Thursday so obviously all the parties will be the weekend after. Not the case. People have been dressing up all weekend long. All the celebrity Halloween costumes, all the like New York City parties and whatnot.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I've been seeing endless people dress up. I think Christy Teigen like tweeted about it and was like, why is Halloween so long this year? Like why is everybody dressing up already? I feel like as we get older, you realize that Halloween lasts for two weekends long no matter what. It just doesn't matter. It does not matter. It does not matter. Even when like the Halloween, but I feel like that makes sense when Halloween is like in the middle of the week.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Now like next year when Halloween's actually on a Saturday, people are going to freak out. Like what are they going to do? Just only celebrate one weekend. Only dress up once? My God. Just up one time. That's terrifying. It would be terrible for celebrities.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Do you have any options as to what you want to wear? No. Well, I was looking at like, you know, celebrities I could dress up as because that's always fun. And then, I don't know, I was getting some ideas from the celebrity Halloween costumes I was seeing. It's like Nina Dobreff dressed up as Billy Eilish. And I was like, that looks like such a fun thing to do. But then also a lot of effort. I feel like I don't have any of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:55 So I'd really have to go get it, go buy it. I feel like I could probably lend you some like big sweatshirts that have like obnoxious labels on it. A lot of like chains. Yeah. I think I could probably do it. that or I was maybe thinking Ashley O from Black Mirror
Starting point is 00:05:13 That would be a great one Because I love wearing wigs Yeah Because anything to wear a wig Would be fun Yeah purple wig Why not? Yeah
Starting point is 00:05:19 And just like metallic Like yo I could just wear Like metallic shorts And a white crop chop And that's literally it Mmhmm That's a good outfit
Starting point is 00:05:26 Yeah So there you go I think that might be I think we kind of Solved it right here That was what I was leaning towards But I'm also It's also going to be
Starting point is 00:05:35 cold and you know how I am with the cold. Right, right, right. That is just minimal clothing. I really... Maybe you wear a long sleeve crop top instead. Yeah, yeah. And like metallic leggings.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And metallic leggings instead of shorts. Just like the more conservative, Ashley-O. Well, or just bring a jacket if you're going to be inside. Yeah. I've realized that I'm just like aging at a rapid rate, I think. I don't know what it is. Like, I went to go visit my sister at Michigan State. She's a junior.
Starting point is 00:06:04 And it was really fucking. cold. It was like in the 40s, like low 40s, damp, raining, gross. I had so many layers on. I look like the Michelin Man. Like I had like 90 sweatshirts on. And these, these girls are walking down the streets going to parties. They're in tank tops and shorts. And I'm like, you guys, what's going on? You got to do what you got to do. Get that bag. It is crazy. And when I think back at it, like there were times I definitely went out where I didn't wear a jacket, but I also, I also like always brought a jacket Like I was always the girl that brought a jacket
Starting point is 00:06:40 Like even when all my friends didn't have a jacket I'd be like I'm bringing a jacket If I lose it I lose it but I'm gonna be cold Right I feel that I was more of a like fuck it I'm not bringing a jacket person Because I do end up losing it And I'm like why would I bring this if I know I'm gonna lose I'm gonna take it off anyway
Starting point is 00:06:55 Depends where you're going if you're gonna be outside You gotta have a jacket But if you're gonna be inside the car ride or the walk Suck it up I saw Saturday night I saw so many you know shivering females and line for the bar. You just wanted to give them your jacket? Nobody has their jacket.
Starting point is 00:07:10 Of course, I was wearing my jacket. Well, you had a million layers. You should have just gave them one. No. Well, it was Saturday night, so I had changed, and I had, like, an actual outfit to go out in, but was also wearing a jacket. I kind of got, I did, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:24 we were saying last week that we were afraid that the whole Michigan State playing Penn State thing would be a problem. I got some, not mean messages. People were like, damn, can't believe you're supporting Michigan. I was like, well, my sister goes there. Sorry, guys.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Yeah, well, you have to support both a little bit. Yeah. I mean, you're, you have blood at Michigan State. Yeah, like, the team sucks. So it's like, if they were good and I was like, rah, raw, go, go green, go white and everybody's face, then sure. But you're just throwing them a pity, a pity fan. Yeah, like my, my sister, my sister goes there, it's blood.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Got a got a, got a, got a, got a root for them. Yeah, of course. Sorry, Jones Brothers. I think that we don't really have much to add about Halloween, because once again. Yeah, let me tell you, this, I love, I love, Halloween too. And I just feel like the last few years I've been dropping the ball on Halloween. Me too. The last time I dressed
Starting point is 00:08:12 up really for Halloween was three years ago. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't dress up last year. It's unbelievably lame of us. I didn't dress up last year either. There was a reason. I was, I did the same thing last year that I did this year. I went to visit my sister and I just like missed Halloween. I can't remember why I didn't dress up for Halloween last year. And then the year before
Starting point is 00:08:34 that, I also was away. I was in Florida. I don't I remember. So we're just being lame. We need to just dress up at work now because I just I was a unicorn two years ago. Oh, I remember that. I remember that too. Go to like a party. That was cool makeup.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Yeah. And that was, that's the last time I dressed up. I don't even know what I would dress up as right now because I haven't thought about it because I know that I didn't have a chance this year. Yeah. Yeah. I wish that Barstool would do a Halloween party.
Starting point is 00:09:00 That would be so fun. You know how like celebrities they go to all these Halloween parties? I feel like celebrities would come to the Barstle one. If it was timed and sent out invites in advance. Or even if we just had like an office Halloween party. Somewhere else. Yeah. And everybody dressed up or we had some kind of like costume competition that people could vote on.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Why aren't we doing that? I don't know. These are all good ideas that we thought of way too late. A Halloween competition for the office and the winner gets like $10,000. Dave? I mean, it writes itself. We get a sponsored by like party city or something. Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:33 We all have to, although we wouldn't be wearing party city. No, but then there's judges and there's money prizes. If we got, if it was sponsored by some kind of, you know, costume company. All right. Well, I'm sure there's other people. Possibilities are endless. Maybe we'll have figured out for next year. Yeah, I'm sure there's other people listening who are not dressing up.
Starting point is 00:09:51 So we're with you. And also, shout out to the people who are dressing up as us because we are seeing those pictures. Yeah. That you're tagging us in. And the tattoos are on point, by the way. Everybody's nailing the tattoos. The detail is spot on.
Starting point is 00:10:04 I was dying this weekend for the. girls who there's two girls that dress up as us and one of them had the one that was me had my knicks the stud muffin sign and my friend claire who is the original artist of that poster like saw the story and was like wow she nailed my handwriting like it was like her bad 12 year old handwriting they did it the exact same way which was attention to detail phenomenal yes it was so we are seeing that shout out to you guys oh i also wanted to talk about about this. So I posted a picture on Instagram, right? And this girl, I sometimes like to comment back to people because I'm like, wow, you are actually taking the time to comment on my picture.
Starting point is 00:10:46 And you like me and follow me. That's so nice of you. So I comment back. And I commented back to this girl. And then she commented back to me again and was like, can you please leave a comment on my page? And as a joke, I wrote back, oh, my comment back wasn't enough, Jessica, like as a complete joke and then I went and commented on two of her pictures. Yeah. And also commented back to her, but I did it. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like as a joke and then I said, but I did. And I went and commented on two of her posts. And then she deleted her comment off my page. And I think that she may have took my joke the wrong way. Yeah. Which I feel really bad about. But people, sorry. Yeah. Yeah. Other people were laughing with it. I, yeah. Plus, I also commented like she told me to and
Starting point is 00:11:28 wrote, I did also. So that's been weighing on my mind a little bit. I feel like. Like I offended her. You just had to clear the air there. Yeah, I didn't mean to offend her. I was just making a joke. But with Instagram and even texting and stuff, I always realize that my joke sometimes can come across as not a joke because you can't hear the tone of my voice. So I'm sorry, Jessica.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I did comment. I did comment on your Instagram though. So go check it out. Yeah. I did what was asked. Yeah, sorry, Jessica. Okay. But we, all right, I think we can get into.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yeah, we have a text message. Yeah. I think. We do have a text message. No, we do. Yeah, we do. I definitely have one. I got it.
Starting point is 00:12:06 All right. How do we feel about it? It's good. It's getting better, guys. We're getting better. Okay. Please send your submissions once again. And if you feel like you sent a submission to me and I didn't read it.
Starting point is 00:12:17 And it's a really good one. And it's a really good. Just DM me a million times more. Just keep DMing me at Maria Chiffo. C-U-F-F-O. I feel like I finally told people how to pronounce my last name on Instagram the other night. And people were then messaging me like, I hate the way your last name is pronounced.
Starting point is 00:12:34 I'm like, I'm sorry that I was born with this last name. I mean, what did they think? I don't know. I don't know. But they- No, they just said they didn't like it. There's nothing I could do. You know, that's my fucking last name, people.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Yeah, yeah. There's nothing I could do about it. Sorry. All right, let's get into the text. Whoa. Did I just send that? We've been messaging back and forth. She said, please keep this anonymous.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Anonymous. We'll do. Ammonist. Sorry, I'm still drunk from this. weekend. Just kidding. Okay. Whoa. Did I just send that? Here you go. Get ready for quite the story. So I work in an industry that's literally like working 15 hours a day, which blows, but whatever, it is what it is. Anyway, I live with my boyfriend. Let's call him Dave. Dave goes away for work a lot and leaves for a couple days on end. One night when he was gone, I was feeling myself and decided to send him
Starting point is 00:13:26 a sexy picture. So I take the picture and hit send. Sounds all good, right? Well, wrong. because remember how I said I work 15 hour days? Well, I am taking the picture sexting Dave, my boyfriend. My boss and I, whose name is also Dave, are also texting about a project. When I realized that I sent the picture to my boss, not my boyfriend, I was mortified and freaked out and said, please ignore that. I'm not sure how that got sent to you. He didn't respond, and the next day was very, very awkward, and he hasn't brought it up.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Continue, I asked, did anything happen? Yeah. He pulled her into a room at the office. brought it up and said, I'm not going to make it an AR issue, but please moving forward, be sure to check your text because my wife was very not happy. Oh, no. Oh, no. So this girl sexed her boss. And now his wife hates her. Yeah. This is a classic, um, if you watch Entrage, our gold situation when he's swinging Lizzie Grant in the air. His wife comes walking in and it's just a bad visual. Meanwhile, the other guy was fucking Lizzie Grant. Terrible. Just, just bad.
Starting point is 00:14:32 God. Yeah, because that's a tough one because it's not one that you can just kind of like brush off any work function that maybe you have to be at outside of work where your boss's wife is there. There's just like this very uncomfortable feeling of my boss's wife has seen a lot of me. A lot of me, all of me. Like, I mean, and this is kind of weird because our boss is also named Dave. If I accidentally sent a picture like that today I would be mortified. I don't think I could walk in here again.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I don't think I could walk in here. You'd have to quit. I'd have to quit. When I sent the nude to you guys I wasn't even sure how we were going to continue. I was like I just sent them my vagina. What's going to happen now? If that was my boss,
Starting point is 00:15:18 oh, gosh. To clarify, maybe for those who may be having heard rea tell that story. It wasn't actually her vagina. It wasn't really my vagina. But it was close. It was basically my vagina.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But it was damn close. But it may have been a little. Okay, anyways. All right, what are we rating this? This is mortifying because it will linger for a long time. Forever. I mean, this is her job and they work 15-hour days. This is in, no, nine to five.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Yeah. She's got to deal with this guy a lot. And you also had to, like, sit in an awkward, like, one-on-one meeting of your boss being like, I'm not going to make this a problem. But, you know, watch your text. I'm giving this a seven. four. Oh, I was going to go seven six. Okay. I'm going to go seven, six on that. Okay. All right, everyone. It's high on the cringe meter for sure. Yes, it is. Everyone, keep sending those submissions. If you have a really good one,
Starting point is 00:16:17 just bump it up. If you already sent it, bump it the fuck up. I'll read it. All right, friend, well, we have a lot of topics to get into. We do. It's a long podcast here. A lot of couples going on. Couples in love. Yeah, couples are just like. We're just like. kind of mash them all together because there's engagements, weddings, debuts, and there's a lot. There's a lot. So we're going to be talking about Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges, Olivia Copo and Christian McCaffrey, Evan Peters and Halsey, Alexis Ren and Noah Centeno, Lauren Bushnell, and Chris Lane. And then we have a Selena Gomez, Haley Bieber, Justin Bieber update on the drama. Kanye West finally released his new album, Jesus is King.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Ben Affleck is on Raya and he's off the hinges. And we have an update on Brody Jenner and Josie Kinseko. And we have a wonderful interview with Elizabeth Lale. Just a fairy princess. I think we talked about it at the beginning of the interview as well, but she was gorgeous. A goddess, one might say. She floated in the room and she floated out of the room. It was just a beautiful, a beautiful moment.
Starting point is 00:17:25 I felt blessed. So did I. Being in her present. I will say. All right, let's get into it talking about Selena, Justin, and Haley. We have an update to the Selena Gomez-Haley Justin situation. Selena Gomez went on Instagram live Thursday night, pretty late around midnight because she was releasing her second song from her new album that's coming out. It's called Look at her now. That's all I think of when I think of that song now.
Starting point is 00:17:54 I'm surprised that hasn't been used or probably has. I haven't been paying attention. I feel like it's perfect for like some kind of food meme like you eating food you eating something and just like the one part of Selena like Selena's voice just going it played in my head
Starting point is 00:18:10 Friday night while I was at dinner like I had really good sushi and in my head I was like oh that's a good one friend like me tweeting me when I get my McChicken yeah you can just clip this out yeah that is a good one
Starting point is 00:18:27 Fran, if you're so shocked that it hasn't been a meme, why didn't you make it a meme? I don't know how to make memes. I feel like you're not a big Twitter person. I'm not really. Unless you're getting a takeoff about sports or pop culture, you don't just tweet about random shit. No. No, I don't. Do you look though?
Starting point is 00:18:45 Are you always looking at Twitter? I am always looking at Twitter. I am always looking at Twitter. I always see it. And I laugh at funny things. And I laugh at memes. But I'm not a creator of memes. I consume memes.
Starting point is 00:18:57 consume me, you're consumer. All right. Well, back to Hakeley, Justin Selena. She went on Instagram live because she was releasing the new song. Look at her now. So let's play that. I mean, it's catchy.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Like you said, the, mm-mm-mm-mm. Yeah. I like love it and hate it. Like at first I was like, oh boy, I do not like this. But it has grown on me. And I feel like that normally happens with basically every, not every, but all of the Selena songs I don't originally like right away. but she seems like she is in a great place.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Like you said, she went on live. She was radiating like joy and kindness and sunshine. Like she, her hair or her skin. She was just preaching about women supporting women and being kind to one another. And I was just like, this woman is at the top of her game. Everything about that Instagram live made me want to be a better person. And she was so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Hair is so shiny, skin glowing. Just the most positive person, the way she talks to everybody. She's just so humble and nice. She's just an angel. She has a very soothing talking voice, too. Yes, very soothing. She makes you feel peaceful. She makes you feel comfortable.
Starting point is 00:20:12 She also reminds you that she's been through so much, but she's also found her place to be happy again. She really made me feel good during this Instagram live. I won't lie. I would love for her to take over John Mayer's Sunday night spots and just jump on Instagram live. and have her talk to us. It would be so nice if she went online more.
Starting point is 00:20:28 What ever happened to that? I don't know, Noah. Whatever happened? He's on tour. He's busy. Oh, true. No, it's like he's busy. He told me.
Starting point is 00:20:35 I mean, that makes sense. I wasn't, I wasn't thinking about that. He's still on tour. And he has a dead and company tour. I'm actually going to dead and company this week. Nice. With him or without him? Oh.
Starting point is 00:20:46 In New York? MSG, Halloween. Oh, on Halloween you're going to dress up? Do you have a costume? No, I'll probably wear like tie-dye. Oh, yeah. Just like all the other dead. heads running around there.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Aluma would be wearing tie-dye smoking so much weed. Probably a lot of drugs. Gonna take some psychedelics. Yeah, Selena Gomez is just an angel. And as somebody who was a big fan of Haley Baldwin for so long. Was a big fan. I still am. I still am.
Starting point is 00:21:15 But I feel like the reason that I was, because I've always liked Selena. Yeah. But I feel like the reason I was a really big fan of Haley Baldwin was because I really loved her style. like her as a person just following her lifestyle, so to speak. But Haley doesn't really post as much as she used to in terms of like style and lifestyle. And that's kind of why I started following her. And I was always-
Starting point is 00:21:41 Her social media has definitely become way more like curated when she- Right. When you were, when it was like, I want now, I'm not- In 2014. Right, right. I was going to say now when she was like mega famous, when she was really just, a Baldwin's daughter She was just another
Starting point is 00:21:58 influencer so to speak On Instagram A celebrity child And she would just like fire off tweets All the time Yeah Scrams and now I mean Not really ever
Starting point is 00:22:08 She doesn't really post anything That I feel like I get a sense Of who she is Or her unique style anymore So I used to always put her I always Oh I like Haley more I like Haley more
Starting point is 00:22:20 You can't really decide Who you like more Because they're so different Yeah yeah For sure You know Selene is a singer Haley's a model. They're so different.
Starting point is 00:22:26 So you can't really say one or the other is better. But I feel like I was lacking credit to Selena Gomez for many years. I feel like I should have been giving Selena Gomez more credit than I was giving her. Because she really is just an angel. Pure angel. I love her. I love her. She always has been.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And she really does seem like such a kind soul. And like she said in the live, you know, she will not stand. for women. She wants women to support other women. That's amazing. Love to hear that. And then, I don't know if maybe this was like some kind of olive branch or just a acknowledgement of what was going on. But one of Selena's best friends, Raquel Stevens, posted a Polaroid on her Instagram after, you know, all the music came out, whatever. And, you know, her, Selena and a couple of the girls. and she wrote celebrating with a bunch of exclamation points, and Haley liked that picture.
Starting point is 00:23:29 So I feel like we have come to the point where they are acknowledging each other kind of, where it's just public enough for people to see it, but we still don't really know what's going on behind closed doors. Right. And Raquel Stevens, who Haley is also friends with. So this is not the first time she's liked a picture with Selena in it. people have also screenshoted a few months ago her liking a picture with Selena and they're like, oh, Haley's supporting Selena, which is good to see that Haley's not just not liking her friend's
Starting point is 00:24:02 pictures because Selena is in it. And you're right, they're just subtly dancing around each other. They could have talked to each other behind closed doors and we'll never know it, I'm sure. But I think that Selena obviously doesn't want to be fighting with anybody and I'm sure Haley doesn't want to be fighting with anybody. So I think that this is going to be coming to an end of them care like Haley and Justin caring. Everybody just goes. And right when this full album comes out, it's just going to all be released. Yeah. Just releasing everything from her. And then soon enough, this error of Selena and Justin is going to be finished. Yeah. She did say she did an interview with the, I want to say, what's that?
Starting point is 00:24:49 guy's name, Zach sang. The one, who he had the clip of Liam's girlfriend or Madison Brown. And he asked if she wants the individual of, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:07 who these songs are about to hear the songs. And she was like, yeah, I do. Like, yeah, well, duh. So a point. Yeah. Like, yeah, of course you want. Like, yeah, you want Justin to hear the song. And now I'm just thinking
Starting point is 00:25:19 Justin's sitting somewhere alone without Haley watching him listening to the songs? Because there's no way they're listening to it together. Right? So there's also, you know, E. quoted this source last week saying, of course Justin and Haley have heard Selena's new song. And they are both trying to not give any reaction to her lyrics referencing Justin. It isn't ideal for Haley,
Starting point is 00:25:39 but she understands the creative process of writing music and that Justin had a past. Yeah, it's tough because you just have to acknowledge that obviously your husband had a past and he's a musician, he's an artist, he was dating other artists. This is what artists do. They write songs about each other. Haley's just going to have to go pray a little bit more
Starting point is 00:26:01 and ask God to guide her through this time. I have faith that they'll be okay. Yeah, I think that they're going to be okay. I think that Haley and Justin are going to work through it. Like I said, I also think that they're going to make it. I think that Haley and Justin are going to make it. But they're going to go through some bumps, one of them being Selena Gomez.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Right. I'm also excited for Selena's album. And if she does more Instagram lives, I'd be into that. Starting point is 00:28:27 It's a full gospel album. It's clean. Did you listen to it, Brian? I did listen to it, actually. The whole thing. Really? Yeah. I,
Starting point is 00:28:35 shocking. I know. While I was getting ready Saturday morning, I just played it while I was in the bathroom, you know, like doing my makeup. just really listened. And it was interesting. Like I will probably never go listen to it again. Yeah. I made it through one time.
Starting point is 00:28:57 And there's definitely a lot of like very cool beats. Like the music I think is really good. Obviously it's hard to like separate the lyrics from the whole song. You know what I'm saying? Like so even it's got, I mean, it's gospel music. Like you're, it's, it's, it's who Kanye is right now. You're not listening to this album to go drink and party. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:29:24 And get wild with your friends because it's all about that one song where it's like, Hallelujah like building up. Couldn't you see that being like a huge drop? I'm not trying to chug to Hallelujah. If, yeah, maybe, maybe if, you know, some DJ really cuts it up. But still, like, if you want to be singing to it or listening to it, And that's like the opposite of the message Kanye was sending with this. Like he's like done with that part of his life.
Starting point is 00:29:51 And he's like breaching about changing and basically, you know, changing his whole lifestyle. Right. So he did an interview and he spoke about how he even asked some of his workers to not participate in pre-marital sex while working on his album. Like Kanye, who are you? I'm sorry. But he doesn't want North wearing like any makeup. Right. Doesn't want makeup, crop top.
Starting point is 00:30:14 You know, he doesn't allow himself to curse more than two times a day. He keeps a Christian scorecard. So Kanye is really transformed. Really transforming. And for me, I like the Kanye where he was rapping about drugs and alcohol just because I feel like when you're listening to rap, you're listening to get pumped up. You're listening to go out. You're listening to party.
Starting point is 00:30:36 And of course, some of the messages that they send in rap isn't always the best, but it is what gets you pumped up. And then you're listening to Kanye being like, follow. oh Jesus, don't lead into temptation. And you're just like, oh, my God, what am I doing wrong here? And you feel bad. You feel like you got to go to confession on Sunday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:52 It's just crazy because I guess obviously this is what we were saying. You know, as an artist, you write what you're feeling at the time. And that's like how you express yourself. And when Kanye was writing his old stuff, that's where he was in his life. Now he's at this place in his life. And his music reflects that, which is fine. But, oh my, I actually saw a very funny. tweet this weekend. Well, my sister found it. And honestly, it might be one of the funniest tweets that I
Starting point is 00:31:19 have, like, I really laughed out loud. It was just, um, it was, um, it was, uh, the Jesus's King album is the second worst thing to ever happen to Jesus. I did see that tweet. That was a good tweet. That was one of those tweets. I really made me laugh. That was a good one. And it's one of those tweets where you think, why didn't I think of that? Yeah. You know, just, just a great. Yeah. Great. It was very interesting seeing the discussion on Twitter of of of just this album because I know a lot of people from work we're talking about talking about the album and well whatever it's going on whenever conier releases a new album it's always a huge discussion everywhere because people either really love it yeah or really hate it this one is so different because it's hard to be like I hate this fucking album and it's not god
Starting point is 00:32:08 yeah you know what I mean like you don't want to be hating on something that he is is believing in is helping his lifestyle because, you know, what he talks about is how it actually has helped him in his life. And I can totally respect that. Like if this is what you're following now, this is what you want to believe in, go for it. You want to make this music. Some people are going to like it. Some people are really into that. So they're going to enjoy it. And if you don't enjoy it, just don't listen to it. Just listen to the old Kanye because that's what I do. Right. When I want to listen to Kanye, I just go listen to his old music. Because his old music was fantastic. It's like he's merged. What's also cool.
Starting point is 00:32:43 is just from, you know, the innovation standpoint. He basically merged to genres of music that, like, don't really, have not really been done before. And it's kind of like, I feel this is kind of a bizarre comparison. But when, like, Lil Nas X kind of combined country music and rap, and everybody freaked out because they were like, this isn't country, like, this can fall into the country category. Like, Kanye is now taking gospel and Christian music,
Starting point is 00:33:12 but turning into hip-hop and rap, which has been done, but not at the scale that Kanye is doing it, where it's like somebody as huge as Kanye West doing it. So it's going to be very interesting to see, like, is he going to go on tour with this album? Is he just going to be doing Sunday services,
Starting point is 00:33:33 maybe around the country? Does he even want a tour anymore? Probably not. I don't feel right going to a Kanye West concert and having this album. any of his other songs ever again, right? I mean, if he's changing his life and he doesn't want to curse and he doesn't want to speak in those ways, then maybe not, which is just sad.
Starting point is 00:33:52 You'll never hear him, like, if he does go on tour, he's playing this album and nothing else. Yeah, I don't want to go to a Kanye West concert and hear this album and also be like fucked up on alcohol and drugs and then also be singing about God. You know what I mean? The things don't like really mesh. Yeah. Yeah, it is kind of a weird feeling. But I feel like it's a positive album.
Starting point is 00:34:13 It could change because like you were saying before, like sometimes you don't feel, or I guess maybe not feel, but like I can't, sometimes I don't relate to rap lyrics. And but like I'll still, like I know. None of us relate to rap lyrics. But like that's what I'm saying. Like maybe you don't relate to the preachy lyrics, but you can still. Sing along to it. And the beats are good.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Yeah. The beats are good. I will say that I do like the song Follow God. Yeah. But it feels weird being like the title is... Which is the one that starts with a Ness? Sella. How do you say that?
Starting point is 00:34:54 Sala. I don't know how to say it, but that one's good one. I think that was my favorite one. I like the first one, to be honest. Every hour. That one didn't really do. I don't know if I play that one. It's just a choir.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Extreme gospel music. Oh, oh, wow. So, no, that's nice. Yeah. I mean, I'm Jewish. Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, it is what it is. Kanye, he's just going down this road now.
Starting point is 00:35:17 It's good to see that Kanye still has the beats, right? Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, he still knows what he's doing. It's just that he is now... Just a different kind of music. Going in the path of the Lord, friend. Yeah, he is.
Starting point is 00:35:29 I wonder how Kim feels about this. I'm like, I'm sure Kim is very supportive, but also like, we kind of saw a glimpse of it on Kardashians when, he was talking to her about her Met Gala dress being too sexy And she was like, I'm happy for you And the journey that you're on But like that I don't have to be in the same place that you're in
Starting point is 00:35:50 So I'm interested to see How she kind of Feels about all of this Right because it's hard to Be with someone who is changing in so many ways And you're not on that same level And now they kind of expect you Completely changes as a human being
Starting point is 00:36:06 Right You don't expect that to happen to the person you're married Yeah and then he expects Kim to act accordingly to him and hopefully they have that figured out. But Trent was saying on radio last week that, and I thought that this was a good way to explain it because we see a lot with celebrities and we see it with Haley and Selena and actually a ton of celebrities that they have really gotten into their faith. We're seeing it more and more and more. And I think, and this is what was Trent was saying, that celebrities who get so big,
Starting point is 00:36:38 so famous, so rich, that they can't really find an explanation for it. Right. But they're like, it must be God. You know what I mean? Like, I could have died so many times. I could have none of this. What is it? So then they just give it all back to God.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Yeah. Which I respect. I mean, I feel like if you get to a place where you're so rich, you're so famous, and you have that guilt, it kind of eats at you. Yeah. And you want to find a place and make you feel better about it. You could also just feel so ostracized from the outside. world and normal human beings that you feel like you're kind of on your own and obviously
Starting point is 00:37:13 regaining that faith or finding the faith you never have before gives you a community that's probably you know probably very helpful as well 100% which is why I mean I respect that and so if Kanye wants to go down that path and just better his life and he feels that this is the way to do it good for you yeah am I necessarily going to listen to this album over and over again probably no I'm not okay so this week page six wrote and exclusive about Ben Affleck's Raya profile. Now, Raya is the celebrity dating app, I guess you could say, you know, you have to apply in this whole application or acceptance process. I honestly, I don't really know the deal. I just know that it's really, I think, become like
Starting point is 00:37:56 slightly overcrowded at this point because I know a lot of people who are not celebrities who have Raya. I would love, I mean, I would love to get a glimpse. Like, we're both in relationships, but I would love to just have a Raya just to just to see what would happen. For honestly, the potential of matching with Ben Affleck. Just to, like, just to say, like, I matched with Ben Affleck or Raya. I've seen somebody that I know months ago that is not a celebrity that it was exceptional on Raya come across Vinny from Jersey Shore. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:31 So there are celebrities that you just. No, yeah, you just got to, like, shuffle through, filter through them. Exactly. And then, like, maybe eventually. you find Ben Affleck. But, you know, poor, poor Benny. Ben Affleck. What's going on, man?
Starting point is 00:38:43 You just, apparently he's, you know, there was some videos of him getting drunk again. And we don't need Ben going down this path. He has kids that he needs to take care of. He needs to be a good drinking problem. Yes, I mean, yes, that is public knowledge. And he has a problem. But Jennifer Gardner, sweet Jennifer Gardner, who is also an angel. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:07 And they have these kids. He's got to be a good co-parent. Yeah. And so, like I said, page six wrote, you know, revealed his Raya account. But I guess after that happened, he, quote, revamped it. So page six was told that he updated his page on the app. He changed the song in almost all the photos. He's still on it, but it's all different now.
Starting point is 00:39:30 His new song is Guava Jelly by Bob Marley. They wrote, we previously reported that the star has been dating. He seems to want a real partner. is not looking to date a celebrity. He is private and is in a good space right now. He has his kids and is focusing on work but is ready to be in love again. He had been dating the S&L producer Lindsay Shookas on and off for a while. Fun fact, I think Lindsay Shugas used to live in my apartment in Manhattan.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Yeah, she did. I remember. I was like, why does that name sound so familiar? Because we like randomly get her mail still sometimes and I'm like, this is pretty cool. Yeah, that is really cool. I think that Ben, he's just probably looking for some fun on riot. Yeah. What else is he supposed to do?
Starting point is 00:40:13 I mean, he's single. Totally. Totally. And so what kind of sucks is, I mean, this kind of takes a turn. So he made a joke on Twitter, like he tweeted about it, that, you know, people have found his rye or whatever. He wrote, ha, he got me. I'm dating.
Starting point is 00:40:31 But let's be serious for a moment and talk about something that is actually important. I've been in recovery for over a year. year and part of that is helping out others the midnight mission is an incredible organization that helps those in need with housing training development and recovery i'm making a donation today because they are battling they are people there are people battling addiction every day that don't have the resources and need help riah you in who else is with me so he posted that on his uh posted that on his twitter on today's the 27th so yes saturday morning and then i guess it was Saturday night that he was out at this Halloween party and TMZ got video of him kind of like
Starting point is 00:41:14 stumbling around. He was seen like holding on to the SUV to like balance himself. So it's just that's it's tough really hard. It's like very sad to see. It is sad and obviously like he mentioned in his post that you know it's a real thing. It's an addiction. Yeah. That he deals with and what other people deal with. So it's sad to see that, you know, it's been one year since I think he's, that's what he said. It's been one year since he was like getting clean. So it's sad to see that shortly after he posted that, he was out. Right. And he definitely still, I know, totally. And like definitely still struggles with it. I, you know, a source told page six, Ben has acknowledged that he's going to slip up from time to time. It was never as if this was simply behind him. So he's trying, but I,
Starting point is 00:42:04 Yeah. It's very tough. Right. And like we just said, he is kind of going through a fairly recent breakup, I feel like. He was dating Lindsay on and off for a while. Now he's single again. Apparently looking for something serious. I don't know if that's what he's going to find on Raya.
Starting point is 00:42:27 I feel like. And listen, I don't want to really get into this because I don't know. I mean, I don't really know. but I feel like if you are acknowledging, because of course people slip up and it's something you have to deal with, but I feel like if you go into being sober saying, I'm going to slip up.
Starting point is 00:42:43 Yeah, yeah. Then you're going to slip up. Yeah. I feel like, you know, you got to go about it being like, I'm going to try and really try my hardest to not slip up. So it's sad, but it seems like he's trying. Yeah. And maybe something will happen on Raya.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Yeah. Get out there, Ben. Who's somebody that. that you would want to see on Raya, if you were on the app. If I was single and was on Raya, um, I'm just trying to think like,
Starting point is 00:43:13 I guess, I don't know, I don't know. I feel like the opportunity is literally, I guess it's literally everybody. ASEF Rack is just on Raya. ASEA, I guess it's like literally everybody.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Like my first choice would be Leonardo DiCaprio. I don't know. I really am just so curious. Brad Pitt. I know. Brad Pitt. That actually,
Starting point is 00:43:30 wow. Going to take this all back. Let's rewind. Ask me who. who I want to see on Raya. Who would you like to see on Raya, Rhea? Brad Pitt. I mean, he's single.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Yeah. I guess I'm just so curious about the app in general. I've never actually seen it, you know? Have you seen it? Yeah, I know somebody who had Raya, who is not a celebrity. They work in this office. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I look at it.
Starting point is 00:43:55 I've never even seen it. And like I said, Vinny from the Jersey Shore popped up. Damn. Yeah. But it's, I also, I have never used. a dating app once in my life. And I've never really, like, I don't even know how to work Tinder or. There is a very fun aspect to it.
Starting point is 00:44:10 And I do like to just, like, I'd say sometimes take my friends just to the activity of like swiping through people. Right. And watching your friends do it is fun as well. But I, honestly, if I was single, I don't even think I would use a dating app. I really wouldn't. It scares me. I know that it is successful now.
Starting point is 00:44:30 It's so different nowadays. Right. with Tinder and Hinge and all of those dating apps and Raya. But there's still something about it, like meeting a total stranger who I know nothing. I don't even know this person through a friend. They're not. Hinge, you have to like, you only connect with people that you share mutual friends on like social media with. Oh, that's good.
Starting point is 00:44:55 So they're not, at least not complete strangers. You may not know them at all. but there is some there is some connection somebody knows them somehow that is the only way i've ever gone about hooking up with people or dating people in my life yeah is somebody else knowing knows the person never ever has ever been a stranger yeah yeah yeah scarce scary out there friend you never freaking know no you don't there's nightmare stories my dad i'm sure i've told this story before but my dad once told me a terrifying story when i was younger that has stayed with me to this day. And I'm sure people's dads have also told them this story about a girl going on vacation,
Starting point is 00:45:34 making out with a guy at a bar who she, just a total, total, total stranger. And then she ended up with a rash around her mouth and the rash was from cannibalism. They went to the guy's room and he had fucking dead bodies in his hotel room. Like, you literally never know. Are we sure that's a real story? Do we think our dads made that up to scare us? That's what I'm saying. Like I said, I think that multiple dads have probably told their daughters this story, but that story has stayed in my head. I actually think it's a real, if you look it up, there are times that that has happened. Yeah. I'm trying to think. You never know it's going to be cannibal out there. I have definitely, it's not, it hasn't happened frequently, but there was one that of a boy that I just
Starting point is 00:46:13 met randomly while I was in like not in the state. And we had no, we had no mutual connection. No mutual connection. But it wasn't just me. It was like me and my friends and he was with a group of voice. Well, yeah, I mean, people do that all the time. That's just like, you know, you do you. I don't give them stuff. That's just me. I'm like weird like that. Like if I don't know you. Cannibalism story really stuck with you.
Starting point is 00:46:35 It has stuck with me since I was younger. I mean, how does that not? Like I don't be terrible. And I remember I told my friend too because my dad told me the story and I told my friend. And my friend went and told her mom that I told her the story. Her mom called my house. Like, because you can't just be telling people those stories. My God.
Starting point is 00:46:55 That is, yeah, I can just hear the phone call. But I'm. lying because there definitely has been a time where I've like made out with a person in a bar. But I feel like they knew, you know, like a bar in Rockville Center. Like they knew somebody. The odds are. The odds are. The odds are.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Somebody you know, knew that person. Probably. Yeah, probably. I think so. But never like a total stranger. Yeah. Like vacation. You know, people love hooking up with people on vacation.
Starting point is 00:47:20 It's a thrill. It is probably a thrill. I've never experienced. I'm sure you have. But I can't sit here and say it's a thrill. I've never done it. You know, now that I'm not. we're here. I'll say this really quickly.
Starting point is 00:47:31 When my boyfriend in high school, I think he was like trying to get rid of me. I was trying to pull fast one on it. He was always, you know, I went for my 16th birthday. My dad and, well, not my dad, my whole family, my mom too, took me and my friend to Punta Kana. Yeah. And it was like my 16th birthday. Instead of having a sweet 16, we went on vacation. And this boy who was always so, you are never allowed to hook up with anyone.
Starting point is 00:47:58 whenever like you even when he would break up with me and get back together he'd be like no if you even kiss somebody like I'm never speaking to you again so he would be single and I would just not do anything like an idiot um I knew there was something up when I was on vacation he was like so you're gonna hook up with anyone and I was like uh no we're we're dating and he was like oh but you're on vacation so it's different I knew there was something up I was like fuck so you when you go on vacation that's yeah vacation freebie yeah that's what I'm talking about no rules on vacation I guess. That's what people go by.
Starting point is 00:48:29 That's crazy. That is true. Although it is nice. I say like they're, my, my siblings are very good at like making friends with people in places that we've never been to before. Right. So like these kids that we met in Italy now we are, we talk to and are like actually friends with. But I mean, boy, were they complete strangers when we met them? Well, that's, you know, you become friends with them.
Starting point is 00:48:55 Then you get to know them and then you can hook up with them. I mean, I'm not going to throw my sister on the bus, but she's kissed a couple of them. So that's fine. Well, when you really think about it, it all goes back to like, everyone's a stranger until you become front to them. This is a weird turn. It did. I don't know how we got here. I don't know how we got here, but I started just talking about hooking up with strangers.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Oh, Raya. Ria. Dating apps. Strangers. Strangers. Hoking up with strangers. Yeah. So we have an update for you guys on Brody Jenner and Josie Kinseka.
Starting point is 00:49:25 But before we break that down. for you. Don't you just love warm alcohol? Well, neither did Dylan, the founder of Brumate. That's why he made its Brumate's mission to shake up the beverage industry for the better. Brewmate's stylish, insulated drinkwear is designed to keep your favorite beverages ice cold all day long. Whatever your taste in beer, wine, or spirits, Brumate, make sure every sip is the perfect temperature. We absolutely hate it when our drink gets warm before we finish. it, which is why you guys are going to love brewmate like us. Guys, I was just at Michigan State over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:50:04 We were tailgating. If you leave your drink out for too long, if you leave your drink out maybe inside, you want to keep it that cold temperature, which is why broomate comes in handy. I especially love the hops slater slim because it fits the 12 ounce slim cans in them so you can use them for seltzers or tall beers. Right now, my favorite is the hopslater slim. Glitter, violet. It's so cool.
Starting point is 00:50:30 And honestly, guys, they come in so many different colors and designs. You can buy it to match your team. Or if you just like the design, you can get that too. We love how many designs and styles they have, which is why they truly have something for everyone. But if you want to mix it up and you don't want beer, they have so many other options like wine or spirits. If you want to keep your wine cold, you can use the brewmates, wines, wineslater, an uncorked wine glasses. They will keep a full bottles worth of rosé perfect all day. Even if you're out in the
Starting point is 00:51:04 sun, it is fantastic. Don't settle for warm alcohol. Chill out with your favorite drinks all day long with Brumate. That's what I was doing when I was tailgating. Guys, this is such a perfect accessory for any and all kind of tailgating. Visit brumade.com and ad code checks to get 15% off your first order. That's 15% off your first order when you go to B-R-U-M-A-T-E.com and add code chicks. We know a lot of you guys have been asking us what's going on with Brody Jenner and Josie Kinseko because everybody noticed last week on their Instagram they wiped all the photos of each other. Sayanara, they're gone. They have done the classic social media swipe.
Starting point is 00:51:55 And we can confirm it is over for Josie and Brody for now. Yeah. That's about all we can say, but we do know for a fact that their relationship has currently come to an end or, you know, a pause, perhaps. Who knows what could happen between them. But we know, like, you know, Brody is coming off a huge breakup. Who know, maybe he wants to be single for a while. We're not really sure. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:23 When you're quote unquote married to somebody for so long and then you move on so quickly, you really never know what's going to happen. But I love Josie. And Josie is one of the most beautiful girls ever, by the way, if you follow her on Instagram. So she's going to be just fine. Bless me. She will be 100% just fine. She could date anybody she wants to. So I think for now we're probably just going to see what happens with that.
Starting point is 00:52:51 I mean, will they get back together? maybe. Oh my goodness. You can just have to cut this out. I apologize. I always sneeze in twos. Like if one happens, you just have to expect it. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:01 And then a third comes and you don't get three bless you. No, no. I'm a two time sneaser. Okay, bless you. Moving on. Josie, Brody, like we said.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Donzo. They could, they could. The social media clean out, I feel like, is always, it's always the sign. You don't, you're not deleting every photo of each other. No, I mean, for no reason.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Especially when you're posting a lot together and then all of a sudden they all disappear on the same day. You both delete the pictures of each other. You're not posting with each other anymore. It's obviously a telltale sign. Pretty clear what's going on. They're not liking each other's pictures anymore. Yeah, so they're not together right now.
Starting point is 00:53:42 So that's all the info we have. That's all. That's in folks. You guys were asking. You want an answer? That's the answer. We gave you the answer. We gave it to you.
Starting point is 00:53:52 You guys can stop. snooping around on social media trying to find out what happened. Which, however, is one of my favorite pastimes. Right. Seeing. Oh, when I first saw those DMs, I was like, and like immediately went to see if they were still following each other. And then I looked to see if Linda was still following Josie.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Like, you know, really wanted to put all those pieces together. One probably could have just gotten the answer. But the sleuthing is the best part of it. Right. Well, we got the answer and we came to the conclusion. So you're welcome, everybody. To finish up the topics for this week, we honestly decided to just smash all these couples together because we just threw them all the room and just let them go. Let them smash.
Starting point is 00:54:34 This is the couple smashing category. Let them bang it out. Basically, there's just been a lot of good news. I would say, you know, love connections are being made. Love shock. Yeah. Baby love shock. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:49 There's just a lot of wrong on. Shack, baby love shock. Let's start with, should we start from like, Get you a car. Okay, I'm done. Oh my God. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Should we start from like debuts and end with marriage? The go in order of just love. Oh my God. Yeah. That sounds so beautiful. Doesn't that sound beautiful? It does. I'm in a love.
Starting point is 00:55:10 I just feel in the love. Okay. Start with people talking and end up with marriage. Exactly. All right. So number one, I think we'll start with Halsey and Evan Peters because we have not talked about them on this podcast yet. Let's go in order of who's the least serious to the most serious.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Halsey and Evan Peters are just starting out. They're the least serious. So Halsey and Evan Peters, they are officially dating. They were seen together at multiple Halloween parties. Dressed together. Coupled costumes. Couples costumes love to see it. And I think that Evan Peters and Halsey are quite frankly the perfect couple.
Starting point is 00:55:46 They really make so much sense. Halsey, I love Halsey. she has this freaky vibe to her. Evan Peters, same thing. Yeah. You're doing some weird shit together. They get freaky. I will tell you that because if you watch American Horror Story, you know that Tate is a freak.
Starting point is 00:56:02 Yeah. And this goes back to, you didn't watch American Horror Story. I never did. For the people who watched American Horror Story, obviously Evan Peters, he plays Tate in the first season of Murder House. And, you know, Tate was a school shooter, which is very unfortunate. Yeah. But Tate was also hot. Like Evan Peters asked Tate was hot and there's no if,
Starting point is 00:56:24 ands or butts about it. He's hot. Halsey, she's really hot. Both of them together, I just, they scream Halloween. They are the definition of Halloween. It makes so much sense that their debut has come around Halloween. I also feel like Halsey loves bringing out either new boyfriends or new guys around Halloween because they do the couple's costumes.
Starting point is 00:56:46 What are your thoughts on couples costumes? I think that you got to do it. Yeah. If you're, I like them when they, when you actually put in like legit effort, you know? When they are an actual spot on couple's costume, you got the makeup, you got the costume is on point.
Starting point is 00:57:03 No cheaping out, then go for it. If you're going to cheap it out, just do so. If you're going to dress as like an outlet and a plug. Then get the fuck out. Seriously, get out. Like one of those blob ones and I'm like, oh. But when it's like cool, you know, or you're dressing up as,
Starting point is 00:57:19 I've always been one, I like when couples dress as celebrity couples. Right, like Haley and Justin. Those are good ones. People are dressing as their wedding photos. I've seen a lot. I've seen a lot of those, yeah. Those are good ones. People are telling me, me and Hank should be Haley and Justin, which, uh...
Starting point is 00:57:32 You did that, no? No, I always said... Or I wanted you to do it. You wanted us to do it. I don't think Hank would ever do that. Yeah. I don't know if Hank would do a couple costume with me. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:57:42 But Joe, I won't. It's been a discussion. And he won't do it. See, I also respect... We have this holiday. party on Friday and it's like a it's just close friends it's not like a big party as an apartment's like obviously can't fit that many people
Starting point is 00:57:57 but everybody kind of goes all out because my friend does you know a costume competition and there's a gift card prize yeah and I was like well would you want to dress up with me he was like nope I was like okay well moving on I respect that though if he wants to not dress up with you and you guys want to go solo then do that to me I'm like fine I'll doubt I'll gonna ball out for my costume and you're going to look dumb when you dress up as something stupid alone. Yeah, and I'm going to beat you
Starting point is 00:58:23 in the fucking competition and I'm not going to share my gift card, Joe. And you're not getting any of the gift card. That's on you. But Evan Peters and Halsey, they're hot, they're freaky. I like it. Like we said, they're just Halloween. Scream Halloween.
Starting point is 00:58:38 In a bottle. If they came out with a perfume together, it'd be called Halloween. Like they are just spooky. They're spooky and I like it. I like them together. So do I. I think I do think they're going to break up. I do think they make a lot of sense. Well, I mean, yeah, fair.
Starting point is 00:58:54 I don't know how much faith I have in that either. Although Evan Peters is kind of a long relationship kind of guy. I've only ever known. Like, he was with Emma Roberts for so long. I mean, they were on and off and had many issues. Many issues. But they were on and off. It was a very long time.
Starting point is 00:59:13 And you know what I think about when I think of him and Noah brought this up the other day too when we're talking about on Snapchat uh never back down he's a never back down which is honestly one of i've definitely seen him in more but this is one of like the main things that i know him from because i've watched never back down a maybe a billion times me too you know when cam the fucking hottest movie ever so hot if you haven't seen never back down you know what it on right now the hottest cl amber heard the hottest part is uh can't the guy from twilight yeah when he comes out to the soldier boy remit yeah when he comes out to the soldier boy remit Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:59:50 You know what I'm talking about? Can you play that? I mean, the whole last fight scene and it's, and it's, uh, Kanye? What do they come out to? Stronger. Yeah. Stronger. Oh, here it is.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Wait, now I'm playing it. Sorry. Sean Ferris. Sean Ferris was so hot in this movie. I truly watched this movie a billion times just because of how hot Sean Ferris is. Everyone's really hot in the movie. Yeah. I think that everyone is really hot.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Oh, yeah, it's the, it's the Travis Barker remix of Soldier Boy that plays. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just an amazing scene. The movie has a phenomenal soundtrack. Phenomenal. Amazing. Amazing. But Evan Peters is, you know, also in that movie.
Starting point is 01:00:35 So, yes, Evan Peters was in Never Backdown. Yes. Also, American Horror Story, which he is really from, you know, if you're going to talk about Evan Peters, you have to honor American Horror Story. And I think Colsey has talked about him before in, like, the capacity that she's like had a crush on him or something. I'm sure she's an American Horror Story fan. She's kind of screams.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Strikes you as an American Horror Story fan, yes. I'm sure they have a lot of fun together. They probably do a shit ton of drugs together. Probably just a weird relationship, but good for them. Yeah. All right, we got to move on to the next couple though, because we have a bunch here. Step up. Step up.
Starting point is 01:01:11 This is the next step. Alexis Ren and Noah Centineo? Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Oh, you think Olivia Culpe? Okay. Take a step down. Yeah. Olivia Colpo and Christian McCaffrey. Instagram. There hasn't been a full post, but a lot of stories. A lot of stories.
Starting point is 01:01:31 There's a lot of stories. Olivia Cople also got her nails done with his number, 22, painted on them and the Panthers logo. Decked out today. She was at the Panthers game against 49ers. She was like posting stories. She did like a reveal. She was wearing Christians.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Jersey. You know what's funny when I was saying Janone before, like she would always go to games with her friend, Kara, Kara, Santana and her boy, are they married boyfriend, fiance,
Starting point is 01:02:03 husband, I don't know, partner, Jesse Metcalf. And they would all be like, go Patriots like decked out Danny Amindola stuff. Now it's the same couple going to all the games with her, but they're like, yeah, Carolina, go Panthers. You know what?
Starting point is 01:02:18 You got to do what you got to do. Yeah, you got to support your man. One hot football player boyfriend to the next. Whatever team it is, you cheer them on. You wear that jersey. Loud and proud, Olivia. I'm sure Danny Mandola is just kicking himself right now. Just over and over again.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Whatever problems they had, who knows. But remember that big followout on Instagram they had? I don't want to, I don't want to say it. But like, she just turned it in for like a boy. for a newer model, you know? Like she got like the younger, arguably, I wouldn't say hotter. They have two totally different looks.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Danny's got like the tall, dark and handsome. And Christian's got like, like, that American, all-American football boy look. And, but he's younger, like he's younger and he is arguably like, you know, the best player in the NFL. Right. She, you know, Danny Mandela, nobody really heard about him ever since he left the Patriots.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Yeah. And so she got herself a Christian McAfrey. Oh, and he's, you know, getting a little bit older. Yeah. He's, you know, he's not fresh meat anymore. NFL stock is declining while Christians is on the rise. Right. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 01:03:28 Olivia knows what she's doing. She sure does. So she probably, you know, like when she was dating Nick Jonas and the Jonas brothers weren't together anymore. She didn't know what she had. Yeah. And she could have been up there going to the Jonas Brothers. Olivia's truly dated some of the best people ever.
Starting point is 01:03:44 Really? She has. Nick Jonas. Yeah. Danny and Madola, now Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. Yeah. It's very impressive.
Starting point is 01:03:52 So now we just have to follow along for more Instagram content. Maybe eventually we'll get a full post. But for now, she is posting tons of stories from supporting her man. I feel like they just made it official. Yeah. Which is why she's now going all out. Because there was one day it hit and it was boom. Polaroids.
Starting point is 01:04:11 I'm going to be posting constantly. I'm going to get your fucking number painted on my nails. Yeah. Maybe a tattoo next. Who knows? Yeah. But I think, you know, good for them. Good for Olivia.
Starting point is 01:04:21 She's moved on. We won't have to do the back and forth between her and Danny anymore. I'm excited. All right. Third couple up. Yes. Okay. So I skipped ahead before, but we'll go back.
Starting point is 01:04:31 Alexis Wren and Noah Centeno have made their red carpet debut. They were at the UNICEF ball over the weekend. And they actually walked the carpet together. They were holding hands. This is a real thing. These real ladies and gentlemen, soak it in Noah Centoneo, Alexis Wren, two very hot people, to very cheesy people. But you know what?
Starting point is 01:04:54 It works. Yeah. They really do work together. Like if I had to think of a perfect girlfriend for Noah Centeno, I would say Alexis Ren. For Alexis Ren, I would say Noah Centeno. They just worked together. There was a video, though, online where I saw a paparazzi catching them holding hands outside of Billy Elish's Halloween party.
Starting point is 01:05:14 And they separate. And Alexis Wren, a kid went up to her and was like, hey, can I get a picture? And she was like, no, thank you. And then kept walking. And Noah Centeno stopped, took a picture with everybody. Alexis, nowhere to be found after that. Yeah, yeah. That's, it is what it is.
Starting point is 01:05:30 That's a tough look. You never know what was going on and why she didn't want to be photographed. But Noah seems to be a man of the people, I guess. Yeah, it was just fans who were asking for pictures. So he stopped. He took pictures with everybody. Which, you know, she was probably just like, trying to get into the party without more people coming out and crowding them, which is understandable.
Starting point is 01:05:51 I'm sure especially now that they like are doing things out in public together, it's even crazier because people freak out seeing them together. Right. And now I feel like they're also like, fuck it, let's just go all in because I think that they've been dating for actually a long time. It's for sure been longer than we all think. Like months and months. Yeah, yeah. Way longer than four months, I would say. They look great together. The pictures, like even just the pictures of them, you see on the carpet, like actually posing, it does make sense. Yeah, they compliment each other really well. They do.
Starting point is 01:06:22 They're just both really hot. All of them. All of them. Every single person. All of them. So I feel like every time we talk about couples, we're just like, they're just so hot together. But it's true. Yeah. We're not going to sit here and lie about it. All right. Well, let's move on to the next couple. Okay. Engagements. We're taking another step. Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges are engaged. And I think this is the one that I'm, out of all the couples we're talking about right now,
Starting point is 01:06:50 I think this is the one that I am the most excited about because I, these two just seem like fucking cool-ass people. Me too. I wanted to give a chef's kiss to them. Yeah. Because I have been following Adam Devine and Chloe Bridges as like one of my favorite couples, low-key. I've been keeping tabs on them for years now.
Starting point is 01:07:10 Yeah. And I think that they're hilarious. The two of them, when they take pictures together, they just seem like cool people. Yeah. They're very normal. than normal and funny. Two people I would want to hang out with double date with. Like when we talk about double dating with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, like bring Adam
Starting point is 01:07:24 Devine and Chloe Bridges along with them. Yeah. 100%. I feel like they would be very cool to hang out with. And I was trying to explain to somebody the other day, like who Chloe was. And I was just like, yeah, Camp Rock too. And they were like, I've, what do you mean? I was like, I just kind of forget that everybody hasn't seen Camp Rock too.
Starting point is 01:07:43 The girl with a really big lips. Yeah. in any Disney. She had Nick Jonas sing songs to her and camp rock too. It was the dream. Yeah, I wanted to look like her when I was younger. She is beautiful. She is beautiful. And she has really, she has Angelina Jolie Lips. She does. She does. And
Starting point is 01:07:59 both of them posted these super sweet photos of them. They were on a boat. I think it happened like over last weekend. They posted like the sweetest captions and they're just so in love and so excited to spend the rest of their lives together. Yeah, and they're hilarious. I'm so happy for the both of them. I would love to get Adam Devine on this show. I think he was supposed to come on, actually, and then he... Yeah. Something happened.
Starting point is 01:08:20 And then he didn't come on. I think he ended up, like, canceling his whole press day. Right. Because it wasn't just us, like, he was going to come to a lot of things here, I think. And just, like, the whole day was removed. Right. But he's hilarious. But not even just, like, Barso on, like, everything he was doing in New York.
Starting point is 01:08:39 He is hilarious. And I think he would enjoy us telling him how, we had a fun argument on how to pronounce his name. Right. Let's not forget when Noah and... Noah asked me literally before when you went to go get candy and he was like, oh, Adam DeVine got engaged.
Starting point is 01:08:56 I was like, are you kidding? Oh my God. It's divine. Just muscle memory. Get it engraved into your head. It is divine. Adam Devine. So divine. And then the other one is Adam D. Adam Levine. I'm going to cut that. Did we...
Starting point is 01:09:12 No, don't cut that. Adam... Devine. By the vice. Define. So one's Adam Divine and the other is Adam Devine. Oh, I thought they had the same exact name. No, this is all my fault, honestly.
Starting point is 01:09:26 It's all my fault. I wish I never even asked the difference between Adam Devine and Adam Levine. Yep. Well, guys, I know the difference between the two of them. I just was confused on how to pronounce last name. It was a moment. We're past it. And now we got to get to the last couple of the day.
Starting point is 01:09:38 We're taking the last step. We've made it to the altar. Wedding bells. We made it to the altar of this podcast. as well. Literally, will there ever be a time when I talk about a wedding where I can hear the bells from hairspray doesn't immediately
Starting point is 01:09:52 pop into my head. I can hear the bells. I don't know, every time. Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane were married over the weekend. Very exciting. I'm super happy for them. They are...
Starting point is 01:10:06 I remember when I cried at their video. Exactly. I remember when we knew absolutely nothing about them and Ria watched the engagement video and cried. Cried. I cried. I don't even like them.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Well, not like that. I mean, I like them. I just don't care about them. I don't follow them. Right. You're also not a country music person, so you don't follow like who Chris Lane is. No, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:10:26 I actually do like a lot of Chris Lane's music. And Lauren, for those who don't know, was engaged to Ben Higgins. She was on The Bachelor. They broke up and now she had been dating Chris Lane. And honestly, it's been it's been like a whirlwind romance for these two. They went public with their relationship last than a year ago,
Starting point is 01:10:50 moved in together in March, engaged in June, married in October. So they had like a People magazine spread. She posted one of the photos. Of course, of course. She looked stunning. Yeah, obviously. And they got married in Nashville in front of 160 family members and friends
Starting point is 01:11:06 in an indoor secret garden themed ceremony. That sounds beautiful. Right? Secret garden theme. My sister's getting married in June, and I don't want to reveal where it is because I don't want people showing up. Yeah, yeah. But could there be a secret garden element? I think there could be like a secret garden flower element to it.
Starting point is 01:11:26 That sounds really beautiful. Like I'm envisioning walking through like a tunnel of vines and you just come out to this opening and there's chairs and a big. What's the name of the thing? You know what I'm talking about that you get married under? There's a name for it. You're asking the wrong person. Yeah, I know, but like there's a name for it. I'm thinking of that movie.
Starting point is 01:11:49 And remember gets set on fire and meet the parents. The thing that Owen Wilson makes out of wood for her to get married under and meet the parents. And Ben Affleck sets it on fire. The whole thing goes up in flames. It's called a... The arch? The arbor. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:12:07 That doesn't sound right. I'm looking at a wedding glossary now. Arbor. It's an arbor. Is that what it's called? Yeah. An archer branches, vines, or flowers that the bride and groom stand under. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:22 That's what I'm thinking of. A beautiful arbor. A beautiful arbor. A beautiful arbor. A beautiful arbor. A vines and flowers and woodland creatures running around. Yeah, like fairies. Everybody is like a floating fairy at the wedding.
Starting point is 01:12:34 That is. I can't wait to see more pictures. And maybe we'll get another video. I feel like this could be another potential music video for Chris Lane. Don't do it to me, Chris Lane. Don't do it to me. All right, guys, we have an amazing interview with the lovely Elizabeth Lale. But before we get into that, I think there's something all of us can agree on.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Nurses, doctors, dentists, and people who work in medicine and health care are awesome. So shouldn't these amazing people wear scrubs that make them feel good? We sure think so. Figgs is an amazing company that is making scrub stylish and functional for the people who deserve it most. For years, nurses, doctors, dentists, and other awesome medical professionals were forced to wear scratchy, ill-fitting scrubs, and not only were they ugly and uncomfortable, but they weren't designed
Starting point is 01:13:30 with innovative technical properties to protect and hold life-saving tools. But with Figs, that is not an issue. They are comfortable, they are stylish, and they are innovative. I have shown both my mom and my sister Figgs. They both work in the medical field and they absolutely love it. Figgs creates the highest quality medical apparel so that medical professionals look their best, feel their best, and perform their best every single day. Every set of figs is protected from germs and bacteria. They're ridiculously soft, their moisture wicking, and they feature a four-way stretch. Starting point is 01:14:49 Head to wear figs.com. That's W-E-A-R-F-I-G-S dot com and enter our code chicks at checkout. All right, everyone, we are here with the lovely Elizabeth Lale, whose new movie countdown premieres October 25th. So you must be very busy right now. Yes, particularly today. Yeah, everything happens at once. Right. When you do, it's like these massive, massive press days. The wind. And you can hear the wind.
Starting point is 01:15:17 In Manhattan right now is insane. It's insane. And we keep this whistling. It's whistling through our windows here. It's crazy. But you're in like this beautiful, flowy fairtail dress. Yeah. I'm using it. Use the wind. Make it fashion. Right. You can't see her dress right now. But when we post a picture and you see this dress, you're going to die. You're going to die. It's amazing. So you're in New York, right? impress. How has it been leading up to the movie now? It's been really exciting. I just saw the movie for the first time and I had like a private screening and that's always fun to be like in a movie theater by yourself. That's cool. Yeah. It's really cool. It is fun, especially when you're watching yourself for the first time, you're kind of like, is that hard? Nervous. Yeah. I would like to watch ourselves. I don't watch anything or listen to my voice. Yeah. No, it's hard. It's tough. But the good thing is I left the movie and I was like, yes. So you feel really good about it? I felt really good about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Like any like personal like cringy stuff on my part didn't take away from like the scares and the. Yeah. The excitement and the comedy. That's great. Yeah. So I've, I've been seeing trailers for this movie all over. Like every time I'm watching TV, MTV, wherever, this trailer comes up and I get scared. I'm like, oh shit. I'm going to die. So can you? You are going to die. Trust me, I know I'm still trying to ask this. I am. We'll get to it. We'll get to it, but I've been talking about this a lot lately.
Starting point is 01:16:51 So can you talk about what exactly the film is and your role as Quinn? Yeah, so Countdown is about an app that tells you when you're going to die. And I play Quinn, who is a nurse at a hospital. and she learns about the app at the hospital because one of her patients dies. And he was like talking about the app and really paranoid about it. And then she, of course, downloads it. Everyone downloads it. Everyone's experience with it is different,
Starting point is 01:17:24 but she only has like two and a half days to live. And it's kind of her journey of like reckoning, like, is this real? Right. And then she starts seeing things and then it gets. It's really terrifying. Because it's like not only scary, like demon scary. Yeah. But it's like technology scary.
Starting point is 01:17:48 It is technology scary also because even just today, like around our office, everybody just downloaded this new app that like tells you who your like celebrity doppelganger is or whatever. And so now we're all joking because it's like you're giving your face to whoever made this app. Just like the old age thing. And they came out, it's like, okay, now Russia has, exactly. Every part of you.
Starting point is 01:18:12 And everybody in this office was so quick to, like, do it. And then everyone was like, oh, shoot. Like, we probably just gave away our faces again. But we just keep feeding it to them. Yeah. But with this film, it's like so relevant to real life because now with technology, I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't at. If this came out, well, I was just talking to someone and they were like,
Starting point is 01:18:33 well, this is totally doable whether or not it should be is another question. is another question. Because now there, I don't know, there is an app. There is an app, I know. It got taken down,
Starting point is 01:18:44 but I think they put it back up. Yeah, it was, because I was reading about it because it first didn't come from the studio or somebody's no spade it, which is interesting
Starting point is 01:18:52 because great promo for the movie, but some other person did it. And what was miraculous is like over a million people downloaded it. So it's obviously something that resonates with people even outside of like this movie
Starting point is 01:19:06 that we've, Creaky. Created. I mean, I wouldn't download it. No, I'm like, I'm good. That's just me. That's just me. I can't download it because I will believe it 100% and then just do the most wild things
Starting point is 01:19:18 and then regret it all when I don't die. It's like, you'll never get it out of your mind. It's like, oh, 49 years. Got it. And when that comes up, you'll be like, oh my gosh. Plus it's my year. Plus tie in like the app and then maybe you go see the movie and you're like, oh boy, maybe I should have deleted that before.
Starting point is 01:19:36 But it looks really interesting and thought-provoking, but also scary at the same time. What's the atmosphere like on set for a scary movie? Very fun. Yeah. Yeah. This was just such an incredible group of people, and I was lucky enough to be there almost every day. So you're spending so much time together, and you're creating these, like, scary, suspenseful moments that you can't help but laugh afterwards.
Starting point is 01:20:04 Yeah. I guess that would be so true. Yeah. Do you like scary movies yourself? You know, people keep asking me this question. And I support scary movies. I am very easily scared. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:19 And like if I see something, I can never unsee it and I have nightmares. And so. So here you are gifting that to the rest of the world. Yeah, I'm happy to participate. Because a lot of people want to feel that sight in themselves. I was like fear, deep fear. But for me, it's hard. It's like hard for me to voluntarily, like, freak myself out.
Starting point is 01:20:42 Right. Like separate the two. Yes. Right. What attracted you to this role? Honestly, it was just such a good script. It was like a really solid read. And it was funny.
Starting point is 01:20:55 But I also had these incredible relationships. There's like the relationship between Quinn and her sister. and then Quinn and Matt. And then there are all these, every other character is just like really funny. And so I was like, I was attracted to that. When I read a script, I'm like, do I want to say these words? There's this like a scene I want to tackle. And it was kind of a resounding yes.
Starting point is 01:21:24 I did ask myself the question, do I want to put a horror film out into the world? What are the repercussions of that? But I'm learning that like the horror world is like very big. And I'm a believer that like experiencing all emotions is healthy. And unfortunately like fear is one of those emotions. And it's like that's the point of entertainment and movies is that they provide some kind of emotional response that perhaps you don't normally let yourself feel. Definitely. And I mean, I think after.
Starting point is 01:22:03 people watched you and you. Yeah. Like there is definitely, people guess people were scared. People were freaked out. I think most people probably know you from playing back in you. Definitely. What was being on that show?
Starting point is 01:22:19 Like, especially because it was released first on Lifetime, but when Netflix released it, it just blew up. Yeah. Just like. I watched it in a day. I mean, Netflix says 40 million people. I know. That's wild. Yeah. Yeah, that was an incredible show to be on. You never really know what you're
Starting point is 01:22:39 signing up for and I wanted to do it again because I was interested in the relationships and kind of the darkness of the characters and I also like Beck gets a really bad rap sometimes and so I wanted to advocate for her. I was like she's a normal 20, something. something, New Yorker, just like navigating how to take care of herself with like childhood trauma and all the rest of it and like sexual appetite. And I was like, people are so quick to blame her and I'm like, no. So I was really excited to like advocate for her and that was just, that was an amazing experience to make because I became like such good friends with everyone working on that show.
Starting point is 01:23:29 So it was really just like I seen on top of the cake. when people decided to watch it. Right. And it was such an amazing cast, like you said. The best. So what was it like initially? Because obviously there are some awkward scenes at first. And even I'm watching it, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:23:48 because I don't even want to say it, but we all know the scenes where Penn Badgley's outside and the bush and she's inside. And I'm just thinking to myself like, you have to do this in front of a camera. Yes, I do. How do you get yourself ready for this type of scene? I just
Starting point is 01:24:04 apologize to my parents beforehand I'm like I'm so sorry that's hilarious but they have to they have to respect it yeah they I mean it's something nobody wants to have to see
Starting point is 01:24:17 their children do I'm sure but everybody doesn't but my mom you know told all her friends that Elizabeth is plain and adult yes and that's true very true and I was very lucky to have
Starting point is 01:24:33 like pen as a partner because he's just very respectful, very thoughtful, very considerate. So we were in a really safe place. And then for all like the awkward scenes, I just had like my friend who was on costumes, just like sit in the corner with the robe. And I would be like looking at her giggling while it was happening. But it's good to have like that comedic relief on the side of. It's good for those type of things to be like, this is. isn't real, you're safe, you know, you're in a, and she really advocated for me. She like protected
Starting point is 01:25:08 me nudity wise and Penn really also, yeah, was very, like I said, very considerate so I was really lucky. And Penn, everybody talked about how amazing he was and how, like, there was that kind of social media breakout of people like loving the character, And Penn was kind of like, why are people loving this character? I even saw Millie Bobby Brown. She got shit because she went on the thing. And she was like, they should be together. Yeah, they should be together.
Starting point is 01:25:45 Like all the shit. People were like, Millie, you're young. He's a stalker. But that's a great lesson. But honestly, it's like we've been watching rom-coms our whole life and just like accepting it. Accepting that that's like the prompest. Yeah, being the right person. The guy who's really mean to you.
Starting point is 01:26:03 is actually the love of your life. Right. Like we've been taught that and for better or for worse. So I think the good thing is we live in such like a socially conscious time that people are having those conversations. They're not just like accepting it as entertainment and storing it away. They're like, oh, actually that's not romantic. That's scary.
Starting point is 01:26:26 Weird. And wrong. Yeah. Exactly. But just phenomenal acting on everyone's. because it was so believable. It really was. Like, it was so believable to the point where I would imagine, like, I don't know how
Starting point is 01:26:40 you guys did it. Because if I had, like, with Penn Badgley, it was so dedicated. I feel like off set, I'd be looking at him like, hmm. Well, the good thing about Penn is he's such a good guy in real life. He, like, emanates goodness. And his, like, heart for people is so pure. You can, if you ever talk to him, you'll see what I mean, that you really, that you really, really trust him.
Starting point is 01:27:04 Okay. Yeah, you just really trust him. And he, he was always really, you know, conflicted and made sure that he was doing Joe justice,
Starting point is 01:27:13 but also very consciously. Like, what is the effect of playing this character going to have on, like, young women? Right. And you guys filmed a lot of that around New York.
Starting point is 01:27:24 Yeah, all of it. Yeah, because let me tell you, Beck's apartment, I was like, how do I get my hands on an apartment like that is real nice? I was like, the whole show is,
Starting point is 01:27:33 so realistic except for that one part. Oh no, no, no. That's the first thing I said. I was like, my apartment is 10 times smaller than this. And I live in Brooklyn. It should be bigger. Yeah, exactly. No, but that apartment had two cats in it. That's something you don't
Starting point is 01:27:47 see because we film some of it like on location. And then it's also built out in the studio. Oh, cool. But you know what? Here's the thing. They have to make those apartments big for like crew members and cameras to maneuver. But I agree.
Starting point is 01:28:03 Definitely not real. The kitchen's real. Yeah, miniature kitchen. Yeah, the kitchen, believable. But she lives alone. Right. Yeah, it's like, how much is she paying?
Starting point is 01:28:13 She doesn't, she's like struggling. She's poor, yes. She's like, oh, my privileged life is so hard. This apartment's amazing. Yeah. So, obviously, Beck dies at the end of the other one. Spoiler, I mean, I hope. Oh, oh, we got, we got in trouble because we spoiled it.
Starting point is 01:28:30 I spoiled. Oh, really? So heads up. It's so hard with the shows that you can stream because people watch it. And like Ria said, she watched it in a day. I watched it. My boyfriend and I binged it together. So like I was a little bit later than her.
Starting point is 01:28:46 But then we have a radio show. We talked about it on radio. And people were like, are you kidding me? Like I haven't finished it yet. And I was like, oh, God. I've never like. Everybody's done by now. Come on.
Starting point is 01:28:58 I would hope. So you know what? Put in a little warning. If you haven't watched season one of you. you by now. That's your own fault. That's your loss. That's your fault. Beck dies at the end of season one. So, but there is a season two. Does she come back as a ghost at all? You'll have to wait and see. Oh, man. I'm so excited. I like how you gave me that cliffhanger just so I there's like a little hope there. Yeah. There's always a little hope.
Starting point is 01:29:22 Was it, was it, was it, I feel like it's got to be a great feeling that the show is obviously continuing. Yeah. But kind of tough as well because you can not as a part of it. much, I guess, right? Yeah, well, I'm just so grateful to have been a part of it at all. Yeah, I'm just so, and it's kind of an actor's dream because you can do it and then you move on to the next thing and I got to do countdown next. So I just, I'm just like full of gratitude, honestly. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:50 So countdown comes out in theaters October 25th. Everybody check it out. And is there anything you're working on now to be released soon? Nothing that I can say. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So everybody keep your eyes open.
Starting point is 01:30:02 and check out Countdown. Yes. October 25th. In theaters, we are very excited. Thank you so much for joining us. My pleasure. Thank you guys. All right, everyone, that wraps up today's episode.
