Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. It's a very exciting Monday, great weekend. But first, we have some exciting news.
Starting point is 00:00:32 We have a brand new presenting sponsor of this podcast. And it's everybody's favorite. it's Duncan. There's nothing better than good old fashion, Duncan. You're absolutely right. What's your favorite part of a Duncan run? My favorite part of a Duncan run is getting my coffee and getting a donut, which we have four of in front of my face right now. My favorite donut always changes. Right now, it's a chocolate frosted with sprinkles. Sometimes it's a Boston cream. Sometimes it's like a powdered donut. I've changed my donuts all the time, but I think that Duncan has the best donuts. They're just always good. They are always the go-to.
Starting point is 00:01:09 It's a nice good chocolate glaze sometimes. I love... Yeah, but Duncan is great because you can also now do the $1, obviously, addition with your coffee, donuts, or the $2 stuffed bagel minis, or $3
Starting point is 00:01:25 sausage, egg and cheese. We got some of those in front of us, too. Very tempting not to dive right into this as we're talking, but eating and talking at the same time, ain't cute. Not, ain't cute. It's just not. Just not, but we do have our coffees. So guys, head to Duncan.
Starting point is 00:01:42 It's time for that Dunkin run. You can get your medium or large coffee and pair up any of these amazing foods with you. The mini stuff bagels are so perfect when you're quickly trying to get breakfast in and you're like, oh, I'm really hungry, but I don't know what to get. Pop those in. Perfect. So head to Duncan. We love Duncan.
Starting point is 00:01:58 We're so excited about this. This is also a limited time offer with the purchase of the medium or large coffee or larger coffee. Exclusions in terms apply. participation may vary. Just have to get that get that in there. And we know you guys love Duncan too. Who doesn't love Duncan? If you don't love Duncan I don't know what you're doing with your life every day. But
Starting point is 00:02:16 how are we doing ladies and gentlemen? It's Monday morning day after the Oscars. How was everybody's weekend? Good weekend. Didn't do too much kind of relaxing which was nice. And Oscars
Starting point is 00:02:30 watched a lot of basketball we sprung forward in the clocks. So now the sun sets later, which is lovely. But having that happen on Oscars night, tough combo. I was not prepared for the spring forward until late Saturday night when I go,
Starting point is 00:02:50 oh, shit. It's that time of the year. The whole night I was out and I was like, oh, like, it's going to be so cool when it switches me gain another hour. And it was not. It was the opposite. No, you lose an hour.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Yeah. So I was like, oh, this sucks. But it is not. That sucks when you're out. But it's nice that the sun will set later if the sun ever comes out here. That'll be really nice. I had quite a relaxing weekend too. It was very nice.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Devin came over and we made a bunch of like apps, darkoutery, you know, dinner. It was lovely. And I read a book this weekend. You did for the first time in the whole book. The whole book. I finished the whole book. It's a quick read. It's, uh, I started it on Friday.
Starting point is 00:03:35 and I finished it after the Oscars Sunday night. I didn't want to come in here today without finishing the book. You could have not finished it. I just wanted to set my week. Oh, you just wanted to close. I just wanted to close the book. Close that chapter. Close the chapter.
Starting point is 00:03:49 On that book. Yep. And head into my week. I ordered more that I'm excited for, but I read it ends with us because so much talk about the movie and I just wanted to be in the know. I felt like I was out of the know. And wow, what a powerful book. I it was it was a page turner I was it was spicy I was turned on I was I was emotional
Starting point is 00:04:12 um good ending I was real I'm not gonna read the second one because I like how it ended that's fine I personally I personally was always thought it never needed a second one um and Colleen Hoover said that herself she was like I never wanted to write a second yeah for like second story to this book because she thought it ended well also. But when the book blew up over lockdown and people read it and went crazy on TikTok, the fan reaction was so insane
Starting point is 00:04:45 to have a second book that she just like totally did. She just did it for the people who were begging for it. So I don't necessarily love it starts with us. I did read it. It is just kind of fan service. It's just kind of like, oh, here's the happy ending that everyone wanted more details about it. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not going to read it because I am really happy with the way this ended. And I'm just going to leave it at that. I did order, it came in Verity. Did you read that? A lot of people were suggesting that in my DMs. Verity is very good. More like thriller-esque. I'm into that. Anything that leads me on the edge of my seat. Definitely will. So I'm excited for that. Verity has an ending where you're like, oh, fuck. I feel like I'm in the know now. I feel like I can, I can, I can,
Starting point is 00:05:32 now talk about the fact that Blake lively's in it. When I first started reading it, I was like, I don't see Blake lively. Towards the end, I understood it more. I was like, you know what? I can see Blake lively in this role. But, you know, she can really do anything. Yeah, she's a phenomenal actress,
Starting point is 00:05:49 so I'm sure she'll be just fine. It's definitely not what I envisioned at the beginning. But she, like, I'm never going to be mad about Blake lively being cast in something that I like, you know? I think it was also helpful. that I knew Blake lively was already cast reading this because then I put her into the role. So then it made it easier that way. On top of that, we had something really exciting happen. On Friday, we found out that we had a billboard in Times Square showing and we had no idea how long it was going to be playing.
Starting point is 00:06:21 We didn't even know this was happening. We were like, this is the coolest freaking thing ever and we didn't even know about it. And we sent Noah because he lives closer to there to go check it out. He stood there for about five to seven minutes. until he saw the... Until it came back around. What was your initial reaction when you first saw it? I sent me my initial reaction. That was my initial reaction.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Oh, really? The video? Yeah. Because I saw the thing, the Amazon podcast thing comes on before. So I'm like, oh, shit. Yeah. Here it comes.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Right. And then after that, Fran and I were like, well, we have to go see this. Like, once in a lifetime, you drive... I just feel like if you grow up in New York, or maybe not grow up in New York, but either way,
Starting point is 00:07:00 you go to the city when you're younger and you go to Times Square and you're like, my God, it would be so cool to be on a billboard in Times Square. You just don't think it's ever. It's crazy. You just don't think that's ever going to happen. So it was so, so cool. So we were like, we gotta go see this.
Starting point is 00:07:12 So we met up in Times Square and we sat through it a couple times. Yeah, we almost got hit by a bus. Yeah. It was just like we wanted to stand in the street. There was such a perfect spot for it. And it just, like, the timing, if you miss, if it showed up and the traffic light wasn't on your side,
Starting point is 00:07:30 there were cars coming down the street. So the first time we got it But then the second time we were like The first time was like oh reaction We were taking videos And then the second time we were like Oh we want to take a picture in front of it And we were standing there
Starting point is 00:07:44 And literally like two giant school buses got the green light They were honking at us We're like oh fuck I mean we waited again For it to come around again It was kind of crazy that it was like Miley Cyrus new album Yeah it was so insane It was really cool
Starting point is 00:07:58 I definitely cried about that a little bit It was really really cool And then everyone's reaction. It was like the most barstool thing ever that it went up like Thursday night when it was dark and we got these videos sent to us and it was like, hey, so this happened yesterday.
Starting point is 00:08:12 If you post it, like, share it with Amazon music. We're like, oh, okay. Is that it? And they were like, we were kind of told like that was it. We were like, oh. Do you think it's still running?
Starting point is 00:08:23 Okay. We had no idea. We had no idea. The runtime, nothing. I thought it was just like done. I'm glad Noah went to go check or else you would have never gone. It was still. up like Saturday night, I feel like, because I thought I saw someone. Oh, really? Yeah. I mean, the reaction to
Starting point is 00:08:37 you guys, the listeners who saw it were so nice. Everyone was so excited online about it, which was really, really cool. So overall, a pretty solid weekend. I texted you, texted you guys this this morning. This week starts my greatest social run in history. Like, the most I have ever, like, I don't have, I have something every weekend until July, basically. Like, that's not even a joke. Because we have, I'm really excited about a lot of the things, like just fun, fun stuff. But we're, yeah, we're planning. Megan June every weekend?
Starting point is 00:09:19 Fran. No, I know, but we're not gone. We're gone on the weekends. Basically every week. Oh, well, I didn't think about it like that. Like, that's the word gone during the week. Not really, though. Thursday, Thursday, Friday?
Starting point is 00:09:31 We'll get back on Friday. Yeah, I guess I didn't think about it like that. But like whenever we... Still, I mean, you're not like going on your own travels for the weekends probably, but this day... Until May, I have something every weekend. And then May starts our tour. So, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:09:48 We're working on that, by the way. We'll give you guys... Hopefully. So that's what I meant by that. But I'm actually really, really excited. Like, I'm just so excited. I just... Get out there.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Yeah, like, I'm just... I don't... I don't know. I'm just so excited. It's like almost a month until you're in London. I know. That's what I'm excited about.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Like there's all these things leading up to London that I have planned that it won't be like I'm sitting around like when's London coming? Yeah, it's just gonna like happen so fast.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I think it was like a year ago that I went to London. Oh yeah. Well yeah, yeah, because we took a week off around this time last year. Time is flying. It is. It is. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Let's get into the rest of the show. Did I have something else that I wanted to say? Oh, I did. Myle's new album? Fantastic. Oh, yes. I really...
Starting point is 00:10:33 Miley has just... The way that she continues to put out new music that feels different than, like, what she's done in the past, but still, Miley is very cool. You know, like, every album has a different sound, a different vibe, but, like, it still is very Miley and you don't get, like, repeats of things.
Starting point is 00:10:59 And I really like this new album. There's some that I'm, like, eh, and don't love, but more of them I like. Yeah, there's a couple that I really like. I have to listen to it a couple more times. I really like River. Yeah. That's like she described as like the one you just want to get nasty on the dance floor.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Yeah. That's my type of music. I love getting nasty on the dance floor. Yeah. And so that excited me. It's not my favorite Miley album, but I do like it. And I love the look that she's going on right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:28 She looks like beautiful and healthy. and I'm just happy for her. She seems like she's very happy. Yeah, there's, what was I just going to say? She, oh, with Miley, I think too, a lot of times I, her songs like, not that they're different, but it's just like when I listen, I'm kind of like, oh, didn't think that this is what it was going to sound like kind of thing. And then I listen a few times like, okay, no, I really like this.
Starting point is 00:12:02 It just takes like, so I've probably. I probably listened a few times, but there's some good ones. I really like Thousand Miles. I like the general vibe of the album, Endless Summer Vacation. That's kind of how I live my life is how I think of it as just like endless summer over and over again. Thousand miles I really like. And I saw people talking about on TikTok too because it was truly my first reaction when I heard it. Right before the chorus, it kind of sounds like she's about to go into every rose has its thorn,
Starting point is 00:12:32 when she covered for Can't Be Tamed and I was like I feel like that's on purpose I really like Violet Chemistry and also I mean she's sending a clear message about some people muddy feet like somebody's fucking cheating and taking that person in her house
Starting point is 00:12:51 and she's saying get the fuck out of my house Yeah it's uh everyone's pointing back to Liam Hemsworth Everyone is everyone is But you know she she had multiple partners I do like Yeah I do like the name. That was a strange time in history.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I do like the name like muddy feet for a song about somebody cheating on you. Yeah, because it gets in the house. Yeah, it's like you're bringing your dirt into my home. Disgusting. Yeah. Handstand was the one that I'm like, nope. I don't know if you listen to that one. That one was a little bizarre to me. That's going to be a skip for me.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Very quickly, but I think it was Wonder Woman that I was like, oh, damn. Like she was like really singing. Oh, what? She sounds incredible. Incredible on that song. Incredible. I have to watch the Disney Plus thing. I haven't watched it yet.
Starting point is 00:13:37 I've been waiting to watch it because Claire's coming for some of the Joe's brother shows. And I was like, oh, we can watch it together. I also saw a TikTok of a group of girls that was like we're 27-year-olds feeling like we literally raised Miley ourselves. It was just a bunch of girls, my age, our age, like, just sobbing, watching her sing the climb. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I saw that. Watching her sing the climb on this Disney Plus thing, it's just all these girls like tears coming down
Starting point is 00:14:06 their face being like, we're so proud of her. I was like, that's how I feel about it. Marty's favorite song, right? Yeah, the climb is one of Marty's favorite songs. Yeah, you guys are going to have to watch the backyard sessions. I mean, the backyard sessions are some of the best things she does. So I'm excited to watch that. What is one, where did the Jonas Brothers concert?
Starting point is 00:14:27 I saw people asking you this. I am a, like I always. go merch only because it's just it's just easier I per like I don't want to stress about like getting dressed up or figuring out something to wear I think we're going Tuesday night
Starting point is 00:14:43 the weather's not going to be good so it's like You're you guys going to be in a snowstorm? I'm going to be casual I'll have to invest in some Jones Brothers merch The clock is ticking on that I know The show's tomorrow We'll see what we'll see what I can cook up
Starting point is 00:14:58 I mean if you want to borrow something I think I could I'll let you know. I think I could spare spare t-shirt. I'll probably wear my... For the first show, I'll probably wear my next week's so good for me. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:13 What about the... What about the jacket? I was going to bring the jacket, yeah. Cool. I have it in my closet ready to go. I just didn't know which day I should wear it. Yeah. That feels like a later on one because the picture of them is from later on. Yeah. Well, it is...
Starting point is 00:15:28 That is happiness begins, but I'm not going to. Friday night. All right. Well, let's get into the rest of the podcast. I'm actually really excited. I'm extremely excited. I'm really excited for the Jonas Pellers. And we'll see what kind of outfit I come up with.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I'll let everyone know. All right. Let's get into the rest of the show. We're just going to do a big, huge Oscars, roundup. Giant. Massars. As long as the show itself,
Starting point is 00:15:55 we will do a recap on. And then just to quickly mention, because we're not going to make this a top of, topic of its own, but I know people were freaking out about this. Sammy Sweetheart is making her come back to Jersey Shore family vacation, I guess. They got her. They got her in. They must have paid her some penny because...
Starting point is 00:16:12 Just like how I posted this weekend, of you reading, I was like, ladies and gentlemen, we got her. Like that video, that's how they must feel about getting Sammy Sweetheart back to the Jersey Shore. They must have paid her a pretty penny that she was like, I can't turn this down. The situation is trying to like, we need you. Either that or she just, maybe she... Yeah? Or she just felt like, you know what, now's the time. Money, honey.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Yeah. Money, honey. Totally. She did not. Is she single these days? No, she's married. I have no idea. Or did she get divorced?
Starting point is 00:16:40 I think she got divorced. Or maybe. I think she was engaged and they broke it off. I feel like she got married. I don't think she got. Do you your best on the sweetest bitch over me? No, I'm embarrassed. She goes, no.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Um. My God, I'm blushing. Anyways, Sam was Family vacation I feel like after the first episode she's back You're working back, yeah Okay I'm, he didn't
Starting point is 00:17:07 Yeah, sent it to you guys Okay, they did get married Oh, okay She got married in Oh, wait, what? Four months after her split From Fiance Christian It appears she's moved on
Starting point is 00:17:26 Oh, this is from 2021 So did she actually get married is the question. I don't remember her ever getting married. Okay, so I think she may have been engaged. They broke up and then she had a new boyfriend. And I also think that they're perhaps broken up. To me, I feel like single Sammy would be the version you would get coming back to Jersey Shore. Like I feel like she wasn't coming back because she had boyfriends or fiancés that were.
Starting point is 00:18:03 We're like, no. Not that, not only because of that, but I feel like she was happy in her relationships. So she was like, oh, I'm not going to go back into like a toxic thing where I could potentially be seeing an ex. And I have this good relationship going on. I don't want to jeopardize that. Could maybe play a part into this. Yeah. I, this doesn't tickle my fancy that much. I'm not that excited about this.
Starting point is 00:18:26 I think that Jersey Shore, they got to hang it up. I think they got to fucking put it to rest. I think that they have out. They have, they have, they want to go on vacation. No, they have, go on vacation off camera. Go spend time with your family and your friends alone. They have overstayed their welcome, in my opinion. Coming from somebody who fucking loves the original Jersey Shore,
Starting point is 00:18:49 you guys know how much I love Jersey Shore. Hang it up. Hang up the jerseys. It's fine. Enough. Enough. I get it. Enough.
Starting point is 00:18:58 I get it. I totally get what you're saying. But I'm also like, if they're, the position. that they're in where people are still watching and they're still going to get paid I'd do it forever you know like if I was them I'd be like why would I
Starting point is 00:19:13 why would we want to end this you know if they're still getting paid a good amount of money which they clearly are yeah I don't blame them necessarily for being like yeah we're going to take the fucking money also it doesn't seem like there's that much drama it's just more just like MTV
Starting point is 00:19:30 no it's just more like family stuff I mean they're having babies they're a downside to like... Yeah. It's more just like MTV. Come up with new fucking shows. Like, you know, like MTV had it for a while. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:40 And all they do is recycle shows now. Yeah, they can't come up with anything new. Come up with something new. I haven't seen any new, like, I feel like any new ideas. That's what I'm saying. On MTV, it's like you guys really had us at one point. So what went wrong? What happened?
Starting point is 00:19:58 That's my personal opinion. But let's get into the rest of the show. Starting point is 00:21:43 Oscars, like I said, huge Oscars round up. Oscars, it was a big night. Let's just, I feel like we can go in chronological order is probably the easiest. The red carpet was, there's the ABC coverage, which was Vanessa Hutchins, Lily Singh, Ashley Graham, and the E coverage, LeVern Cox. I personally did not put on a single second of the E red carpet because I'm just struggling with watching Leverne Cox on the carpet. I just don't think she does a great job. Let's just say it how it is.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Leverne Cox is awful at the red carpet interviews. It's just not good. Not good at all. really actually bad. The last one I watched was... And I will say maybe she was better for the Oscars. I didn't watch a single second because after the last time I was like,
Starting point is 00:22:43 I'm just gonna... I'm gonna go to V. I'm gonna go to Baby V. She seemed really nervous at the Golden Globes. And you can't blame someone for being nervous. No. You know, with these massive stars and such a big night, a lot of pressure. But the pros used to be the pros.
Starting point is 00:23:01 and there ain't a lot of pros anymore when it comes to the red carpet We've gotten away from using Juliana Rancic Yeah Cres like these were pros I don't know why we've gotten away from like using the talent That has the
Starting point is 00:23:14 The resume like that does That has done it and has done They have practiced they have studied They've been to school for it They've done plenty of broadcast It doesn't matter going to school That was a joke That was a complete
Starting point is 00:23:27 That was a joke because we didn't go to school Someone like Emma Chamberlain would be so much better I don't think so I feel like she's been good Like when she doesn't met Gallo stuff Like she's funny That's so much more casual And like it also a bit awkward
Starting point is 00:23:39 No you need like a host Like like Kelty's really good at that stuff Like that's like for me like That's somebody That is a pro because she's done it She knows how to do a carpet She's been in the game for a long time So I don't know
Starting point is 00:23:53 They're just throwing anybody on the carpet these days Yeah They're going Ashley Graham You want to interview people Go ahead As far as the ABC thing goes like Vanessa Hutchins has gotten a lot better. I think she was pretty good last night.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Lily Singh was good. Lily Singh tried to bring the Emma Chamberlain energy. Like it was like the oh, serious question. But then like, ha ha, let's laugh and like have a joke. And like sometimes it's just like, that's not as funny. But I thought they both did a good job. Ashley honestly was fine. It's just like I truly cannot imagine.
Starting point is 00:24:31 doing that job and maybe you're just you have a fucking brain fart like i don't know like you just forget like because you're nervous you didn't like that i said that that's okay um and um i because i i just can't imagine not being so overly prepared to do that job that no matter who is coming up to you you have some kind of like default question that is more fit to that person than just like, oh, who are you excited to see tonight? Like something that just like is a little bit bigger than that. And I'm not even talking about the Hugh Grant thing. We'll talk about that.
Starting point is 00:25:10 I'm talking about he, she's talking to Pedro Pascal. And Pedro's like, I'm so excited for Rihanna. And she goes, like for Rihanna to perform. And she goes, oh, I don't think, I don't think Rihanna is performing. But oh my God, what a surprise that would be. Like, I'm like, how do you not know Rihanna is performing? It's the biggest news of this. Oscars, like I said, maybe
Starting point is 00:25:33 it was just a momentary like, oh shit, I totally forgot that. You gotta know. You gotta know what's happening in the show. You gotta know that Rihanna's performing. And then you make Pedro feel uncomfortable because now he's like, did I just say that the Rial? And then he's second guessing himself. He's like, I could have sworn Rihanna was performing at this thing.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Why did I even come? Yeah. And so, and for me, I'm just like, how do you have that job and not know Rihanna's performing? I just, that is mind-blowing to me. The Hugh Grant thing was a train wreck from the star. Hugh Grant didn't want to be there. This is my thing. He was a dick.
Starting point is 00:26:11 He really was. Like, you know what you're signing up for when you're doing a fucking red carpet interview for these big award shows. Suck it up, smile. Say, oh, I really love Triangle of Sadness this year and walk down and walk down the carpet. Or just don't do the red carpet interviews. If you want to attend the show, attend the show, but, don't do the interviews if you're just going to be a dick to somebody because it's so
Starting point is 00:26:34 uncomfortable for everybody. It's uncomfortable for Ashley Graham, who was the interviewer. It's uncomfortable for Hugh Graham who clearly didn't want to be there. It's uncomfortable for everyone to view it. Now, look what you've done, Hugh Grant. We used to like you. And now everyone thinks you're a dick. And there's been rumors about him being an asshole for a long time. But we've never seen it with our own eyes. And now we've seen it with our own eyes. The questions were like incredibly generic. They were very generic. But they always are. But if there's been. But if there's been But if you immediately get a bad answer from somebody,
Starting point is 00:27:04 and, like, I don't blame Ashley because in that moment, I would panic also and be like, I don't know what to ask him next. Like, like, the default is like, okay, Jesus, like, last resort here, what the fuck are you wearing? Just give me the name of your suit. And he's like, my suit. Like, I don't know, my tailor.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Yeah. And then he was like a-answer by him, bad question by her. Don't ask you, Grant, what he's wearing. He was trying to be, just a fucking, it just came off very pretentious. Like, he was bad. He was just better than all. Like, yeah, he was just acting like he was better than that moment.
Starting point is 00:27:34 And he was acting like he was better than everybody and the Oscars as a whole. Like, he was like, oh, you know, all of humanity's here. He's like, this is all very Vanity Fair, which I guess was a fucking reference to some movie from like the 1800s. Like, yeah, I didn't get that either. Yeah, he tried to make some, like, that was like his reference. But Ashton Graham took it as like, oh, you know, the party. And then after that, I think, I think he was like, oh, like, he, then he got. fucking rude. He was snobby. Hugh Grant was snobby and it was unsettling and upsetting to see. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:28:05 it's like, oh, I'm sorry you were in... Someone who likes Hugh Grant's work. Right. Like, sorry you were in Knives Out for three seconds. That's not Ashley Graham's fault. Just answer the question. Yeah, why do you even come? Stay home then. Yeah. Like, you're in the movie. If you didn't want to be in the movie for three seconds, you shouldn't have even done the movie. I don't even remember his part. Exactly. Exactly. But it was just like... The red carpet interviews have been tough lately. Vanessa Hutchins isn't off. I didn't watch that closely to the red carpet. I'm going to be completely honest.
Starting point is 00:28:35 I watched as soon as the Oscars started because I watched the Golden Globes red carpets and was like, this is so fucking bad that I've kind of given up on like really great red carpet interviews. You know who's a really good person interviewer on the red carpet is Amelia, the chicken shop girl.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Amelia. She's awesome. But it's not like we're going to see that on TV. But she did Vanity Fair And she's so good And it's like we should be putting these people on TV That have been doing this for so long And it's literally her forte is to interview people Put her on TV
Starting point is 00:29:13 Yeah like she's so funny and like it makes it very interesting So yeah the red carpets were tough But then of course you know we had the red carpet fashion Which I'm going to make one clarification Hugh Grant was referring to a eight A novel from 80 1848 about a host of superficial characters is called Vanity Fair. That's apparently the reference he was making, which, like, you want to really come off like an asshole on the Oscars red carpet.
Starting point is 00:29:41 Reference a novel from the 1800s. Yeah, that's a snooze fest. Yeah, come on. Yeah. So, don't put us to sleep, Hugh. We used to like you. Just doing was really good. Just don't be a jerk.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Like, it's that easy. It's a 30-second interview, if that. So, okay, but yes, the red carpet fashion Maybe he's not getting any these days. Maybe. With that attitude, he made a good joke during the actual show. He's going to get no coogee with that attitude. He also called himself a scrotum during the show, so that's also not going to help.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Well, he called himself a scrotum. Yeah. Unattractive. Yeah. Anyways, we had the red carpet fashion, which was not red, which took no by surprise. This has been going on for years now. No, it hasn't gone on for 60 years. They haven't changed the Oscars.
Starting point is 00:30:26 but at other award shows. I am kind of shocked that the Oscar red carpet was not red. I feel like something should just, you don't need to change. Why change what's good? It's the red carpet. And I'll be honest,
Starting point is 00:30:37 I feel like they, it was almost like a gotcha for a lot of these celebrities because so many of them wore neutral colors that on a red carpet maybe would have popped, but on that champagne color carpet, they just blended right in. Like, Anna de Armas wore this gown that,
Starting point is 00:30:53 and she looked beautiful. She always does look beautiful, but the color just kind of washed her out. But I kept looking at the pictures being like, is this color just a bad color on her? Or is the fact that just the whole background is the same color, kind of? That it's just washing her out in these pictures.
Starting point is 00:31:11 And there were so many neutrals. There were a lot of neutrals. Sparkles. Neutrals. And, you know, I didn't love anybody. I liked the only one I loved. was Cara Delvin. Oh, Cara Delvin, she looks really good. I'm really happy for her. I love that red dress. I'm really happy that she's, you know, getting the help that she needs because she's looking fantastic. She's looked really good. But my best dress. Yeah. She's up there. I didn't, I didn't love a lot. I liked a lot. I didn't love a lot. I disliked a lot. I am feeling like a lot of people's
Starting point is 00:31:49 dresses and are not tailored to them the right way. Is that making sense? sense. Like, Evo Longoria, Sparkle, I liked it. But there was something about the fit of the gown that didn't seem, like if it just fit a different way, that I would like more. I don't know. You hated Florence Pugh's. I did. I didn't. Look, I did not hate it. I think I am also, I like everything Florence Pius wears. I think I like her. And so I love her. And I normally love her red carpet looks like every film festival she did she was fucking bringing it with those looks and I just this was what's crazy to me is that I'm about to say this because it like is obviously not a boring silhouette it's different and
Starting point is 00:32:37 you don't see people wearing things like that but for me like that was just kind of boring. I don't know what it was. I'm going to pull up pictures on my phone. I don't know if it's I don't it might also just be the color like I just really like there are so many neutrals that by the time I saw another giant neutral, I was like, like the top of it just looked like a bed sheet to me. That, it does look comforter-esque. Like, I do think if the carpet was red, it would have popped a little bit more. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:33:05 I definitely think it would have also. It was the background. It blended right into the carpet, so you're right about that. I didn't hate that one. This is what I'm talking about with Eva, I just felt like it just didn't fit. It looked very heavy on her. Mindy Kaling was giving House a CB. I liked it.
Starting point is 00:33:22 She looks great. the white dress transition to the black dress. She wore two of the same dresses. She looked gorgeous. Her glam was unbelievable. Like, she looked so fucking pretty. I did not like, was it Winnie Harlow, Lime Green. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Did not like that. Sophia Carson, beautiful. She always wears a princess gown. But neutral, again, to the red carpet. If it was red, it would have definitely popped. I thought Vanessa Hutchins looked stunning the whole night. as well. Great look. I will say anybody that came with a little bit of
Starting point is 00:33:57 color, I loved. I just felt like because there were so many neutrals and blacks and tans, creams, sparkles, that like Hallie Bailey wearing that Tiffany blue color dress, stunning. I like that a lot.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Angela Bassett with that purple color, stunning. Like, I wanted a little bit more color. A little pop. Like, anybody that wore color, I was like, yes. You're immediately fresh my brain because it was more of a just more of a pop for sure i agree with that lady gaga i liked her look lady gaga looked beautiful thames who i did not i just didn't know uh she helped write um lift me up with riana and she wore this white stress that had this big headpiece silhouette it was really cool
Starting point is 00:34:44 like it was um stunningly beautiful and on the carpet like it was like whoa but then i felt so bad Because as soon as they showed the first crowd shot, I'm like, oh my gosh, she's sitting in that damn dress. The poor person behind her. The poor like five people behind her. They can't see jack shit. It's like you finally go to the Oscars. You got a great seat. And you cannot see this person's dress.
Starting point is 00:35:09 That's my thought often about dresses I see on the red carpet, like what Kate Hutton wore to the Vanity Fair party. I'm like, that's just a nuisance to other people. Yeah. You know, I feel like when you put something on, you got to be conscious of everyone around you. That is just going to be, you're going to be in the way. Yeah. You know? So I feel like you can, you can have a beautiful gown or dress and not do that.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Yeah. As far as, um, the show goes, Jimmy Kimmel, I thought, did a good job. Jimmy Kimmel's just a pro. You know, he's just a pro's pro. It's like, after what happened last year, they were. like we need somebody who's just going to do the show, make some jokes, get some chuckles, and, and, and close the door. And he's, like, his humor is good, too, where he's good at making fun of the whole process,
Starting point is 00:36:06 but it does still feel, like, sincere, and he likes to be there. A lot of jokes about how long the show goes and a lot of Will Smith jokes, obviously. coming off of last year, it's tough to top because you're going to get a boring show because somebody got slapped last year. And so you're just automatically going to get a boring show this year. They're going to play it safe. Jimmy Kimmel, I thought, was fine.
Starting point is 00:36:34 You know, nothing too crazy. I'm not like that was the best Oscars ever. Jimmy Kimmel was fucking amazing. Like, I'm not going to say that. Immediately made an OZMPIC joke to kick it off. I thought that, yeah, that's a hot topic these days. never, I kind of felt like people would die, like it would die down of people talking about it,
Starting point is 00:36:52 but it just hasn't at all. You know what must be really annoying? Because 100% there are a ton of people that are on it. Mindy Kaling is the one that I think everybody like talks about the most. And I, but I feel kind of bad in some way because I'm like, she clearly struggled with the way she thought about herself and went out of her way to get put on Ozempic for a reason. because she didn't like how she looked, right?
Starting point is 00:37:19 And whether you agree with that or don't agree with it because, you know, people with diabetes, I'm not getting into that conversation. I'm just strictly talking about whatever. But she publicly said that she took it. No, no, no, no. It's, she just has. No, everyone, honestly, we can't say for sure because she has not said it.
Starting point is 00:37:35 She has not said it for sure. Just everyone assumes that. But she looks fucking amazing. And if she's happy with the way she looks, then let her be happy with the way she looks. And I feel kind of bad that she probably, right, she probably struggled in some way. If she got put on, if she went on OZempic. She still looked amazing.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Like I don't want, you know what I'm saying? No, she did, but I'm saying for somebody self-you. Like she looked amazing in our eyes, but you never know how somebody's feeling about themselves. And if you go on OZempic, you clearly are thinking a certain way about yourself. And so now she's probably, I don't know how she feels, but she looks amazing. I'm hoping she feels amazing, but then people try and tear her down and be like, oh, it's just Ozempic. It's just Ozempic. And it's like, yes, it's unfortunate that this is becoming a thing that people just are using a weight loss drug. And like, I thought that we were like past that. Yeah. But if she's happy with the way she looks and she did this to be happy with herself, then just like let her be happy, you know? Yeah. I don't know. It's a confusing. It's a confusing subject. It is because and obviously like everybody's making, making jokes about it. But it is. something that is widely being used allegedly through all the circles.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Right. So I just don't know how safe it is. I looked at up at the side effects because I was kind of like, I would take it. Oh my. Oh my God. You're ridiculous. You do not need that. Take like 10 pounds off.
Starting point is 00:39:03 You don't need. Oh my gosh. Stop it. No, no. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you love your body and that you love yourself. Okay? I'll do that. Do that. And there are people who.
Starting point is 00:39:13 who have talked about having, you know, not great side effects. Yeah. That's my biggest concern with that. I'm worried for the people, I'm worried for the people with the side effects. Like, I just feel like it's not the safest thing to just, it's never safe to quickly lose a lot of weight. Yeah. In my opinion, I'm no nutritionist or dietitian. So I don't know, but that's always what I've heard is, you know, a quick way is, is never really the safest.
Starting point is 00:39:38 Yeah. So a lot of, Jimmy immediately made a joke about that. And like I said, obviously a ton of Will Smith jokes. You made from an awesome Butler. And Austin Butler didn't seem to like love it. I mean, it's just, I don't really like think that that's true about anything. I just like you're going to get, you go in knowing that you may have a joke about you when you're like a big star. I think for Austin Butler, maybe it's because the joke has been said so many times.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Now that I, Jimmy Kimmel had to say it because it's been said so many times. And he was also like, you guys are weird. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I did like all the James Cameron jokes, one because he wasn't there. Right. And he said, all right, James Cameron. You don't want to even show up. Who begged everyone to go to theater didn't come to the theater.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Like, yeah, that was funny. There were a few funny hits, a few obvious ones like the Austin Butler one. But yeah, the show itself was just incredibly fucking long. And they kept in all, was it, 22 awards? 26 awards. Yeah, they do the whole thing, which I get it, like, I don't know, I'm always torn. Because as a viewer, it's like, God, I wish this was shorter. But also, I understand and respect that these people work so hard and why shouldn't they get honored during the big show, you know?
Starting point is 00:41:03 Because, like, there's moments right where it's like when they did the in-memorium. and they obviously cut it down because it didn't feel like it was as long as normal and then when it ended they put up a QR code and it said scan the QR code to see the rest of the in-memorium and I was like okay if we're starting to do this for the in-memorium
Starting point is 00:41:22 are there some awards that maybe could be like okay to watch who wins this yeah but not for all of them not for all of them but there were a couple QR codes in the corner of the screen there were QR codes for like different awards that came up.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Yeah, but they still gave a lot of those awards. Yeah. Like it was like, oh, for more details on hair and makeup, scan this QR code, but they still gave the award during the show.
Starting point is 00:41:49 So like I said, it's tough because I'm like, I want these people to have their moment. They deserve it. Like, that's, you're winning a fucking Oscar. You deserve to win it during the Oscars. But it does,
Starting point is 00:42:00 that, that like hour and a half in between when you're going through design and production and sound and editing and like everything you're just kind of like oh boy this is moving kind of slow but once again they've fucking won an oscar so they deserve to get up there and have their moment we just have to have to power through it right as for the awards given out themselves everywhere everything everywhere all at once uh hard title yeah won seven awards It won everything. It won the whole show.
Starting point is 00:42:37 It won the whole show. Supporting actress. Best actress. Best actress. Best director. Best film. Like it's, it just took it away, which means I have to watch this movie now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:52 I didn't before, but I will. I will watch. I think you'll like it. I like it. I don't know. I think it was a great movie. It has, it definitely has mixed reviews. Like some people.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Really? I feel like it's pretty. overwhelmingly loved. No. I mean, just from people I know in my own life who have watched it and we're like I'm not a big action-packed gal and I think that's where I feel it's very like fast-paced action-y
Starting point is 00:43:22 right? Is it action-y? But it's it is fast-paced but there's like yeah, there's just a lot going on during it. But it was very good. Very good. Elvis really didn't take much. I don't even know if they won any awards.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I mean, what sucks is like everything everywhere all at once was so good and it won everything that there were so many other good movies that just won. I mean, Banshees didn't win a damn thing. That great movie. Yeah. And it won a ton of the gold. Yeah, and it's one other awards. But, you know, like they didn't, I don't think they, at least during the show, they didn't
Starting point is 00:43:57 win one thing. Yeah. The best way to give your hair the reset it needs this spring is. scalp care. Guys, everybody needs to invest in scalp care. You may think a classic shampoo condition is going to be the way to go. No, you need to cleanse it with some anti-dandruff shampoo, a nice little cleansing shampoo. I use all these products.
Starting point is 00:44:24 So do I. Way has you covered. Way is the best hair product. They have the absolute best hair products. We've been using Way for years now. It is a staple in my routine. I use the Way leaving conditioner Every single time I wash my hair
Starting point is 00:44:38 I also love the Way wave spray I love the Way body cream I love the way which they're coming out with a new scent Yes which I'm so excited They also have the Way body scrub Which is so important to me especially in the summer And then the rose oil which I lather on me After a shower and then you're glistening in the summer
Starting point is 00:44:57 And it looks delicious, it smells delicious It feels delicious Way has everything that you need. A detox shampoo. Detox shampoo. It's helped me not like when you're trying to keep your hair going for a few days and you got all the product in your hair, whether it's sprays or wax, whatever it is. Yeah, like if you do a slip back bun.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Yeah, with the hair wax. And you need to clean your hair. That detox shampoo cleans it so well. And it's very important to do that because then you're going to get build up and you don't want that. So they have the detox shampoo. And right now, you know, with winter, things are dry and so are our scalps and we're not afraid to admit it. So you can use Waze anti-dandruff shampoo.
Starting point is 00:45:40 So upgrade your spring routine and drop way every day. Daily scalp serum, also that can be used day or night with wet or dry hair. Guys, way is the way to go every season, not just spring. But if I could think of a great time to start, it would be this spring to incorporate way products into your life. go to t-h-e-o-u-a-i-com and use code chicks for 15% off your entire purchase that's t-h-e-o-u-u-a-i-com code chicks Brendan Fraser won for best actor which I asked you guys in our chat why this was such a big deal like I understand he's been around for so long but was there something that happened to him that people are what happened He was just like totally blackballed.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Really? Black balled is the wrong word. Blacklisted? Not blacklisted, but he was just kind of like left Hollywood. He just kind of became the laughing stock of Hollywood. For what reason? Like I don't think it was maybe some of the movies he was taking, but he just like, he really became like a joke. I didn't realize it was that bad.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Yeah. Because the way that everyone has been talking about him and like, oh my God, you like, Brendan Freight, like it's such a big deal. The whale. It's such a big deal. you know, there's other movies, there's other actors. I was like, why is so many people talking about this?
Starting point is 00:47:07 I didn't realize he was so not in Hollywood for a while. Because I really don't think he was working at all. He really became like the punchline for like so... Like the laughing stock of Hollywood? Kind of. Really? I didn't know that. Yeah. And I think he, you know,
Starting point is 00:47:22 he's shared some trauma as well. Like that's why he wasn't at the Golden Globes, right? he had said that he had, um, there was some kind of abuse with like some, somebody from the Hollywood foreign press. Wait, what? No, I didn't know that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I'm not, I don't know, like, I don't want to miss, uh, share, like, misspeak here. But he said he would not go to the Golden Globes. Um, yeah, because he said that, he told GQ that the former Hollywood foreign press, President Philip Burke sexually assaulted him in 2003. What? So he obviously, like he did not attend the Golden Globes. Damn. But he, like, I would really say I'm what the last movie he did and things.
Starting point is 00:48:17 And then he just kind of like went when he didn't do new movies and everyone like kind of made him the joke. He's going to be the next one's a season movie with Leonardo Caprio. Really? Yeah. Well, I'm sure this has put him back into a place where people are offering roles to him. Because I've just, it's like, you know when somebody just talks about somebody, the world talks about how sad something is? I'm like, I'm just never, my God, I have to really mentally prepare myself. Because everyone that's seen it is like, oh my God, it's so good, but it's so sad you're going to cry the whole time.
Starting point is 00:48:55 It's like, oh, God. I cried the whole time happy tears watching the Oscars. I know. The way that I cry for people, for genuinely being so, so happy for these people, I don't know them at all. They're all, like, rich and famous. And I'm just bawling my eyes out for being so happy for them. I had to look in the mirror and be like, stop it, stop it. I couldn't stop crying. It started to hurt. Every single award, every time someone won, somebody I've never even heard of. They get up there, I'm happy. I can't stop crying. I'm just like, that must be such a good feeling to feel so satisfied. that your work is being recognized. These people have worked so long and so hard. And some of them feel like they're never, ever, ever going to make it. And they've been working their entire lives for this. They've had people.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Right. His speech was so fucking cute. He's so adorable. And then they won best picture. And when he started yelling at the TV and he was like, and if you have a dream, don't give up on it. And I was like, that is just so inspiring that you could be told no so many times. It's like the lady Gaga speech.
Starting point is 00:49:58 But it is true that it's very inspiring to see people not give up and feel rewarded in the end because so many people do give up. And that's okay as well, you know, but the people that have that drive in them, I just really give them a lot of credit. Like, because rejection is so hard and they just fucking, they keep going. And then they're up there giving such heartfelt speeches. And Michelle, too, talking about, like, she's like, you know, don't let anyone tell you. your past year prime was a great message as well. And then when they won Best Picture and Harrison Ford gave the award and then they got to hug and he went up to say it. And like even just when Harrison Ford walked out, he stood up and was clapping for Harrison Ford.
Starting point is 00:50:44 I was like, oh my God, I can't. This is just such a. So cute. What a good guy. Such a great moment. So well deserved. I think a lot of people spoke to about Jamie Lee Curtis winning and Angela Bassett's reaction. has been trending because she looked, you know, disappointed.
Starting point is 00:51:01 It was like, oh, she's not clapping. And I, this doesn't startle me as much because honestly, I'm surprised more people don't react like Angela Bassett. They are working their ass off. Anybody who wins that award, it's well deserved, you know? It's not like, in my mind, I'm like, oh, Jamie Lee Curtis, people are like, oh, she wasn't that good and she isn't even in it for that much. Like, it's like, okay, but I thought she was,
Starting point is 00:51:27 great. She wouldn't have won if she was bad. And like Angela Bassett also fantastic in Wakanda Forever. Like so good. So I think it's actually, you know, it was just a very normal reaction to think that maybe in that moment is like a little disappointment. And it was right at the beginning of the show. And so then she has to sit through the next three hours going, I fucking lost that award, which has to be tough. Pray for Austin Butler because my God, this must be so upsetting for him. Maybe it's not.
Starting point is 00:51:59 Maybe he'll say it's not. But in deep inside, you never want to lose. For anybody, losing sucks. If you're up for an award, you lose. You could say you're happy for everyone else, but at the same time, you're going to be fucking upset that you lost. And for Austin Butler, who has put his entire life into this person and film, and he won the Golden Globes, so he probably had a little bit of like a,
Starting point is 00:52:19 I may win the Oscar. Of course, you're going to be happy for Brendan Fraser. if anybody's going to win it, I bet he was happy. It was him because everyone was so happy for him. But at the same time, he must be like, all right, this is it. This is the end. This is the end of my chapter as Elvis, and I have to close it, and I have to move on, and I didn't win.
Starting point is 00:52:38 He's probably telling himself, like, I see awesome, like, you know, I won the Golden Globe. And, like, you know, it means more. There's more categories. Like, you know, just trying to justify him losing the Oscar. Listen, it doesn't get better than the Oscars. Well, at the end, yeah. At the end of the day, different people voting on these things. He did win the Golden Globe.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Didn't win the Oscar. Yeah. My immediate thought was just like, damn, he's got to be a little bit crushed. Which you can't make fun of him for, just like Angela Bassett. Yeah. You're going to be upset if you lose. Yeah. No, I mean, to have like a disappointment be your first reaction feels like a very normal reaction.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Unless you 100% know you're showing up and losing. Like, there's got to be some people in the category. Everyone in Best Actors, they were going to lose. Yeah, yeah. Right. And I think they all, like, I think Anadamus shows up
Starting point is 00:53:28 and she knows that she's not winning, but she's happy to be nominated. And it would be a great surprise if you did. But for somebody like Austin Bellar who won the Golden Globe, you show up thinking, wow, I really do have a chance. So that disappointment has to hit. Yeah, definitely.
Starting point is 00:53:44 But I also think because it's been such a mixed bag across award, a whole, like, all award shows. Brendan's won, Colin Farron. one. So it's like in that mind, in that situation where it's like, oh,
Starting point is 00:53:59 you're, you definitely have expectations because you know you have already been celebrated for your work, but there are other guys that have won. And Brendan Fraser just kind of felt like he had the momentum going into the Oscars. I would love Colin Farrell
Starting point is 00:54:15 too. Yeah. Personally, I was disappointed that the ban she didn't want anything. I love that movie. They brought that donkey out on stage to be to be Jenny who you know I'm sure the actual Jenny yeah that wasn't really is not was not available don't try and trick us like that but really cute donkey yeah very cute I just kind of felt bad for the donkey like I was like this donkey doesn't want to be there no anytime that yeah you're just letting you feel like that anytime but um no it was it was
Starting point is 00:54:48 a good show performances so Khea Carson saying she sounded beautiful she's a phenomenal singer Lady Gaga who I thought wasn't performing but I guess stripped down her makeup totally stripped down her whole glen I mean when does like Lady Gaga has
Starting point is 00:55:08 a voice unlike any other so I really liked the I like the whole stripped down vibe it's it felt interesting because it was different from obviously like that song is a big production and it's top-gum maverick like it feels really big so i liked doing like a stripped-down version of the song felt cool she did say you know i wrote this in my basement and blah blah blah so um
Starting point is 00:55:36 she sounded amazing it was awesome natu natu was a good time all those got the dancing got me got me jumping up and down a little bit they won for song and then riana performed and just you know hit a home run as always. Of course and such cute pictures of her in ASAP backstage. Yeah, good alpha changes for her too as always. She always crushes her fashion. I love that she just like, she did walk the carpet, but it was like
Starting point is 00:56:05 kind of late. And so, and she must have gotten changed there. Like there's a video of her just like quickly walking in somewhere. She's in like a, she's in an Eagles jersey. Yeah, and everyone was like, I was like, oh. Yeah, I think Devin posted on our social. It looks like Rihanna's going shopping. Like she just
Starting point is 00:56:21 I thought maybe she was just skipping doing like the carpet altogether, but she did come out in like the black gown and and great. Great luck. I was like, wow, this is a quick turnaround. Yeah. If that's how it happened. But I don't really think we missed anything. I think that's basically everything for the show.
Starting point is 00:56:43 If I am remembering correctly, it was a long show. But then, of course, after the party. It's the after party It's the after party So Vanity Fair had all the stars Showing up to With Room you can shop thousands of cars Right from your phone

The Vanity Fair Party is what everyone looks forward to, whether you're just a viewer at home or a participant in the awards or the festivities after.
Starting point is 00:58:08 That's where I think the fashion peaks or really misses. And I think there were some good. More risks. More risks are taken. You can be a little risque. It's an after party. Things come off. Things are revealed.
Starting point is 00:58:20 and there were a lot of hits and a lot of misses, in my opinion. My personal biggest hit of the night, no, biggest miss of the night, biggest miss. I was so riled up about this and I don't even know why. Haley Bieber. Haley Bieber's dress, angered is the wrong word, but really confused me because I feel as if you're getting shredded. If you're getting shredded across the internet, week after week, you got to show up in your best. You got to show up stunted. You got to show up leaving jaws on the ground.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Can I just say that I love this? Really? It's so grandma-y. I love this. It's so granny-y. When I woke up this morning, I saw the text that you guys sent last night when you saw first reaction. and it was like it was like
Starting point is 00:59:22 I hate her dress and I was like oh god like this is going to be bad and when I went to look I was like oh I really I kind of liked it I mean it's definitely not like it's not crazy like it was definitely a safe option
Starting point is 00:59:38 but I still thought it I kind of thought it was like a beautifully structured dress this may feel like it's coming from like jumping on the Hayley Bieber bandwagon that's not because everybody knows I am not a Haley Bieber hate her. I don't believe in the participation of dragging this woman across the internet. Is she wrong about some things? I think we can all, we can all admit that at this point going forward. There are some evidence that does not point to some great things. And I think we can all
Starting point is 01:00:04 admit that. But I'm not just saying that because of this. Genuinely, I was shocked because I was like, I'm expecting her to show up with something that's going to fucking draw us to the fucking ground because of the way she's been shredded. It was a safe choice for her. just felt safe and boring and granny and old. I'm like, you're 26 years old. You're so young. Yeah. You look like you're 75 in that dress. Right. She could have wore something like similar to what Kendall wore, you know? Right, and I liked Kendall's. I didn't like Kiddles. Haddheds.
Starting point is 01:00:38 I usually like Kendall's better than I do Kylie's when it comes to red carpet looks. But there are parts of Haley Bieber's dress that I like. You know, I liked the one hand open, one hand had a glove on it. I thought that was cool. But the whole rest of the dress, it had no, I thought it had like no shape to it. There's no like, even if she had like, Devin was saying in the chat, like a little slit would have like made it a little younger. I just, I think because my head was stuck on the fact that like, I really thought it was tailored well.
Starting point is 01:01:06 I just, I just didn't do it for me. I just thought, man, like, I just would expect, like, I'm fucking here. I'm Haley Bieber. I don't care what you guys say about me. I'm going to show up fucking stumping in a dress. And to me, it was just like, I, that it just boring. Yeah, it was, it was for sure a safe choice.
Starting point is 01:01:24 But once again, a lot of very similar themes, a lot of sparkles. and neutrals, it felt like, for Vanity Fair also. Like a lot of sparkle, a lot of glitz, shiny dresses. Kaya walked, Kaya did the Vanity Fair carpet with Austin Butler. She looked stunning. Yeah, I, but, like, always, that's, you know, that's always where you get, like, the models show up and teeny tiny dresses are, like, very,
Starting point is 01:01:57 like, Emily Radikowski, her dress was, like, see-through. It's like there's always I loved Emily Radikowski's glam. Like her makeup and her hair looked really gorgeous in my opinion. I think she kind of repeats the same sort of dress on every red carpet. Same look of like I'm naked.
Starting point is 01:02:14 But she has an amazing body and she wants to show it off. So I think that's nice. Honored to Armas both dresses. I didn't love her Fannity Fair one. Fannity Fair I really didn't like. It was kind of like a stained glass window but not in a good one. Yeah, I didn't love that.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Joe Jonas was high as a kite. I love Joe and Sophie looks great. I didn't love Sophie's look. You know, Sophie, I didn't necessarily love Sophie's dress either, but I liked their combined look. Like just a lot of Spartans, I thought Riley Keough. I have no idea what the fuck I'd wear to one of these things. So this is coming from somebody who's like, I could show up wearing the worst thing ever.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Speaking of Amelia, did you see what she wore at a Vanity Fair? She looks stunning. No. She wore like just a black cut out one long sleeve. Don't love. I mean, it reminds you of Haley Bieber. Haley Bieber's dress.
Starting point is 01:03:15 That one's better, though. That dress is better. That one's better. I mean, there's always, I, um, I didn't love, I didn't love Gigi's. I think that Haley's was Oscar Award. show. Yeah. Vanity Fair party. I think that's what threw me off, was that it was more, you know, that's fair. Would have been very appropriate for the awards. That's fair. And then maybe
Starting point is 01:03:39 have a different look for the after party. There was some engagement speculation because Kate Osworth and Justin Long were on the carpet together. She had a, what looked like an engagement ring on her finger, which would not, I would not be surprised at all. I think that's probably exactly is it's probably exactly what it is um probably what dress is the most talked about i feel like right now is hunter shafer she did a um she was styled by luxury law who does all of zendaya's looks and it is um of low waist low cut slip skirt basically like it's like the bottom half of a dress, totally topless on top besides a feather
Starting point is 01:04:32 that goes across the nips. And that's the dress. I love like a risk. But for this I'm like, like, I want to like it because I don't want to sound like a hater. I know. Because I love when people show off their bodies
Starting point is 01:04:53 and are proud of their bodies and are like, yeah. I have titties and I want to show the world. Like, I'm all for that. Yeah. That's what I was saying about Emily Radikowski. Like, she does it every red carpet. Every red carpet.
Starting point is 01:05:04 I'm like, you know, she looks, she looks fucking great. And she, like, works hard to have that body and, like, is proud of it. And, like, I think that's great. Yeah. I just didn't love this particular look. Yeah. Like, I wanted to, but I'm not obsessed with it. You know, it does look absolutely so good, though, is her glam.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Her hair and makeup. Yeah. So good. And, you know, compared to what it looked like on the runway, like, it's incredible. Like, it is obviously a choice. But, you know, anybody wears something like that? All I can say is fucking good for you for the confidence. Because walking into a room of, like, all the most famous people, and you got a feather
Starting point is 01:05:52 over your nipples. Like, yeah, it could just a lot. It takes a lot. It's more and more, though, now. Like, there are so many people going with that kind of look now that it's not as, like, shocking. Yeah. I feel like it used to be more shocking, whereas now it's kind of, you expect a lot of people to do this. There were a ton of people.
Starting point is 01:06:10 I mean, I saw Charlotte Lawrence had nothing cover in her nips. I mean, she had a very sheer dress on. Totally see-through, totally see-through all the nips and just, like, an underwear. So it's not as shocking anymore Because people are Are wearing these things more and more I'm just like I feel like you could also
Starting point is 01:06:33 Wear like Such a beautiful dress as well too You know what I mean? If you want to show your nips And show your boobies, I'm all for it But I also think the dress could be Yeah Better.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Yeah Like Emily Radikowski's I actually really liked Yeah The look of her dress where sometimes it just feels like Right, a shirt, we're just going nips out, just to go nips out and the dress isn't even nice.
Starting point is 01:07:01 I just don't really like that, I guess fabric is what? It's like that scrunch. I don't know. How do you, what's that? Yeah. Like when you buy like a tube top, that's like in that.
Starting point is 01:07:17 Like, I don't know how to describe what it is, but no, I totally get what you're saying. But, you know, Justin Bieber was there, but I guess he didn't do the carpet is what I saw, or he, like, walked into the party in a blanket. Justin Bieber did? Yeah. I really liked Emma Chamberlain's dress.
Starting point is 01:07:38 This is, the page six article is kind of an unfortunate headline. Tormented Justin Bieber sneaks into Vanity Fair at Oscars party with blanket. Justin Bieber did not walk the red carpet with his wife. The pop star who was oddly wearing what appears. to be a blanket at the party. Instead, met Haley inside the Sari Event, even though he'd shown her public support earlier in the day in social media. I know. So obviously everybody's pulling this back to like the drama, Selena and Haley. It's like, ah, he's not supporting his wife amidst the drama. He didn't walk the carpet with her. Come on, Justin. You should walk the carpet. So. It's just like,
Starting point is 01:08:16 just walk the fucking carpet. Yeah. You're not helping. There's so many things that I'm just like, this man does not help the fucking situation. We didn't even talk. He didn't even talk. He did post pictures of her on Instagram. He did. But the birthday party, the birthday party pictures, why did you have to fucking post a picture with Selena's tattoo? Your sleeves were not rolled up in any other picture besides
Starting point is 01:08:36 the one where you're sticking your arm out and the tattoos is right in front of everyone's face. Yeah. He doesn't help himself. Walk the fucking red carpet with her. Yeah. I know he's sick of it. I know he's tired of being famous. He's been famous since he was 15 years old and he's sick of it. But just support your wife
Starting point is 01:08:53 for the sake of her? Because she's getting fucking whipped to shreds. I know, but it's... It makes me sad, though, because it's like where, you know, she obviously could, I'm sure she could use the support, but then, like, this article is like a source told
Starting point is 01:09:08 page 6 that Justin did not inside the party, Justin did not look well. He was hunched over wearing a blanket. Another Hollywood observer at the party told that Bieber looked tormented and seemed weird. So, who knows? I don't think he likes these events
Starting point is 01:09:24 So you didn't want to go. But I think if you're going to the event, just walk the carpet with her. You know? Yeah. But who am I? What am I? You know, is we talk about these things and then I go, who am I to say anything? Maybe he was having a bad day.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Maybe he didn't want to be there. Never know with him. He's moody. He's been famous since he was 15. He's going to do it anymore. But I said apparently he went immediately up to Russell Westbrook and was talking to him. Out of all the people. It just doesn't help the, you know, he doesn't support his wife's situation.
Starting point is 01:09:54 which I'm sure he does behind closed doors. Yeah, I'm sure he does. Russell Westbrook was wearing Tom Brown and Tom Brown's best dress was Marcel the Shell. Did you see those pictures? No. Oh my God, it's so cute. Tom Brown like posts on Instagram that they dressed Marcel to Shell. Oh, actually, I did.
Starting point is 01:10:10 Yeah, yes, yes. Marcel the Shell in a little tux. Marcel the Shell is so cute. Best dress, Marcel the Shell. Yeah, honestly, like no big, doesn't feel like there's some big drama or some big story really. I think everyone was kind of you always look to the Vanity Fair for the
Starting point is 01:10:30 outfits, the fashion. There's always a ton of parties going on and, you know, I'm sure there's more fashion that we missed, but Vanity Fair is always the one that everybody is looking the most at. Not the
Starting point is 01:10:48 18, not the novel from the 18th hundreds. The Vanity Fair after. party. Yep. I think that wraps it up on Oscars coverage. Pink Whitney has an awesome giveaway happening. Yes, it was Boston and something she should she should hold very highly of herself. It's it's really an honor. Badge of honor. It is and thank you guys so much for joining us. Thanks for having us. Thanks for having us. I'm truly honored. Yes, we're honored. And Trent is honored. And you started a trend that has continued through taking Trent to other places. Starting point is 01:12:36 jealous of Trent. So that's very funny. Okay guys, so quickly we'll go through the rules. There are 15 rounds. Whoever gets the most questions, right? Wins, if you get the question wrong, the other team can steal the point.
Starting point is 01:12:53 It's as simple as that. And to determine who goes first, Noah's going to give a movie. We're going to guess the raw tomato score, the critic score, whoever is closest will get to go first. Their team will go first. We will alternate guesses. So, everybody gets one guess. Noah, what is today's movie?
Starting point is 01:13:11 One in Rome. Josh Humell. All right. Okay, ladies, one of you go first. Have you seen it? I've never seen it. No. I can go first. I'll say 45. I was going to go around.
Starting point is 01:13:34 I was going to go around there. I'll go 63. I was gonna say 62, but I think I'll go with 67. I'm gonna go with like 28th. I think critics hated that movie. It was not a... I liked it, but it was not a good movie. You're the closest at 17.
Starting point is 01:14:03 Yeah. I was like, I think it's really low. I never seen it. Well, then I'm not gonna watch it. I mean, it's like... It's a total. bad mid-2000s rom-com. But it's cute. Like it's him and Kristen Bell. It's cute, but it's not
Starting point is 01:14:21 like, not critically. Yeah. Okay. Question number one to Ria and Fran. Shout out Danny from Massachusetts. Which former Disney star played Winston's love interest in season two and three of New Girl? Brenda Song. Okay. I'm good with that. Brenda Song, final answer. Correct. I got to rewatch New Girl I watched it. My brain glitched there for a second
Starting point is 01:14:53 I was thinking about that. New Girl is phenomenal. Okay, 1-0-0-0-0-4. Question number two to Julia and Gracie. Shout out Bridget from Pittsburgh. What are the four ages of Adele's albums? Each album is an age. It's got to be 19, 19, 21, 30? No.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Don't 20. Five. 25. She's 30. No. I think it's 19, 21, 25. Are we missing one? 10.
Starting point is 01:15:33 Is there four? Is there four all? Oh. Okay. Okay. Five seconds. 30. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:41 Okay. 19. Sorry. 19. 21, 25. 30. Yes. Correct.
Starting point is 01:15:48 Nicely done. Wow. 30 was the only one that I knew. 21. Oh. Yeah, that was funny one's the iconic. That was like the big one. I like 19.
Starting point is 01:15:58 Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yep, that's the one. Okay. Keep going. Tied up at one. This is question number three to rean. Frans.
Starting point is 01:16:07 Shout out Nikki from Wisconsin. Mike Myers plays four different characters throughout all the Austin Powers movies. Name those four characters. I'm useless on this one. I've barely seen a full Austin Powers movie. Really? Oh, my God. Austin Powers is like, I watched a lot of Austin Powers. But I don't, I'm trying to think, I don't know, like, the characters he plays in the movies.
Starting point is 01:16:35 Himself? No, like, yeah, like he... Dr. Evil? Oh, oh, oh. Okay, Austin Powers. Yeah. Dr. Evil. Fat bastard.
Starting point is 01:16:46 And, uh... Oh, Gold member. Gold, gold member. Okay. So, Austin Powers, Dr. Evil. fat bastard and gold member Correct I show a little enthusiasm
Starting point is 01:17:00 with the correct thing Yeah why are you mad That he's like she that was like angry that you got that right I didn't I don't think I understood the question at first When you said Dr. Evil is when I Okay Okay two one Hey great job
Starting point is 01:17:14 Thanks That was awesome That's more like that Okay 2 1 Marie and Fran This is question number four to Julian Gracie. Shout out Sierra from York, Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:17:27 What is Peter's last name in the movie to all the boys I've loved before? Oh, Kaminsky. Oh, wow, I didn't know that. Final answer? Say it again. Kaminsky? Incorrect.
Starting point is 01:17:44 Better guess than me. Not going to lie, I thought it was Kaminsky. I thought it was Kaminsky. Peter... It's not Grzynski. Peter To all the boys I love for
Starting point is 01:17:58 Peter 15 seconds Peter Peter Kepinski Peter Kovinsky? Peter Kovinsky
Starting point is 01:18:09 Klaminski I have no idea All right five seconds That's called Kuminski Peter Peter Kleminski Yep
Starting point is 01:18:19 incorrect You said it Ria I did It's Kivinski Kvinsky Kvinsky I said Peter Kivinsky.
Starting point is 01:18:28 I was kidding. I mean, we were throwing out a lot of various. I wish I would have just went with that one. That was so close though. Why did I, I mean, are we sure? Kaminsky really sounded right. Kovinsky, it's Peter Kivinsky. And I said that.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Why didn't I just say that one? Idiot face. Come on. Yeah. I feel, I mean, Kovinsky. That is, you know, wow. The things you hear are when. I really wish I would have just said Kavinsky back to you.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Yeah, I said Kaminsky. I was like, that came right to my head. I was like, got it. But then that's got sad. Because then there's a show called the Kaminsky method. Then that got stuck in my head. I'm just stuck on the fact that I said Kivinsky out and then repeated back to you, Klaminski. That sounds like a CD.
Starting point is 01:19:16 That sounds like a disease. Klamydia. Klamia. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:20 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Uh, still two one, Ruan, Fran. and Fran. And this question is to them.

Starting point is 01:20:28 B, McCulley Culkin, C, Drew Barrymore, D, the Olson twins. My initial gut is the Olson twins. Mine was Lindsay Lohan, but I don't know. All right, well, maybe she hosted, like, when Mean Girls was, like, popular. All right, we can go with that. What about McCulley Culkin? Eh, I don't think so. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:21:00 All right, great to go ahead. So, Lindsay Lohman. Incorrect. Drew Barrymore. Drew Barrymore. Oh, yeah. She's been in the business. Correct.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Yeah. She was, guess how old she was? She was like eight. She was seven. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:21:15 McCulley Culkin was 11. Let's not forget that we did a lot of research on Drew Barrymore before she came on this podcast. Yeah. That is not something I researched, though. Oh, I, but I do remember. I remember seeing clips of her, like she posted them, I think. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:21:32 Four one. Ryan Fran. And this is question number seven to them. Shout out, Brittany from Eastchester, New York. What did Wendy Williams refer to Doolipa as multiple times on her talk show?

Starting point is 01:22:10 Yeah, we're going to try. Okay. Question number eight to them. Shout out Sierra from York, Pennsylvania again. What is the name of the Gryffindor Ghost in Harry Potter? We were just saying how bad we are at Harry Potter. The Gryffindor Ghost? The Gryffindor Ghost.
Starting point is 01:22:32 It makes something. enough, Gracie. It's not the girl in the bathroom, is it? No. I don't even know what that means. Mirdle or whatever. Go for it. Ten seconds.
Starting point is 01:22:46 I, yeah. Yeah, Mertil. Incorrect. I believe it's nearly headless, Nick. Nice. Nearly headless. Okay. How could you be nearly headless?
Starting point is 01:23:05 this. 6-1, Rian Fran, and it's question number nine to them. Shout up Megan from
Starting point is 01:23:12 Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. What actor played Lindsay Lohan's love interest in Herbie Fully Loaded?
Starting point is 01:23:20 Wow. I thought you were going to say just my luck and I was going to be all over that question because
Starting point is 01:23:26 it's Chris Pine. I don't think I've ever seen Herbie fully loaded. I don't know who this is. Neither do I. Herbie fully loaded
Starting point is 01:23:34 is a great movie. I have not seen it since it came out probably. And I can... Ten seconds. It's not going to come to me. Nothing? No. Okay, did Julian Gracie. Any guesses? You were smiling. I thought you knew it. No. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:24:04 All right, let's think of... When did that movie come out? Early 2000s? Mid-2000s? I don't know. Yeah. Don't even remember that movie. Who? Sad Michael Murray. Yeah. Sure. Chad Michael Murray sounds good.
Starting point is 01:24:22 Okay. Final answer? Yeah. Incorrect. It's a good educated guess. Justin Long. Oh. What?
Starting point is 01:24:30 Wow. Wow. I had no idea. Actually, now I can picture Justin Long working on the car. I don't think I ever seen that movie. Wow. You know when you have like a vision of something? Like I could see the scene of him like working on the car, but he was faceless.
Starting point is 01:24:44 Yeah. And now, like, now the, now he has a face. Mm-hmm. And it's Justin Long's face. Okay. Question number 10 to Julia and Gracie. It's still 6-1, Rianne Fran. I'm going to play a movie clip.
Starting point is 01:24:57 Shout out Jill from Massachusetts, and you tell me what movie it's from. You're a great deal too good for me, and I'm so grateful to you, and I'm so proud of you.
