Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is state of America. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday, like we always do. Friend, how are you feeling on this lovely Friday afternoon while we're recording the show?
Starting point is 00:00:35 I feel great. It's been a long week. I feel like my brain has thought about nothing but The Bachelor. Right. Just nonstop. But I'm excited for the weekend. I'm going to visit my parents, which I'm very excited about. That's wonderful.
Starting point is 00:00:49 They're in Florida. And the Oscars are this weekend. I know we're going to have our Oscars recap on this podcast, but right now it's Friday and we haven't watched it yet. We'll watch it eventually as the show progresses. But I'm excited for the Oscars. Yeah, I'm very excited for that. Of course last week.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Oh, that's very exciting. I don't know. That just came to my mind because I watched it last night to that was the last one that I really wanted to see before the Oscars. It was really good. I'll watch that. It was really good. Well, I want to say to the people who don't watch The Bachelor, I'm sorry
Starting point is 00:01:23 about last week. It was very, very bachelor heavy. Sometimes that just happens during the season. They come at us with two episodes, five hour week, and we have Peter on the show. Trump was the luggage guy, so all the excitement was there. But of course we are back to, you know, putting some actual topics besides the Bachelor on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Besides on Thursdays, of course, we will still do our Bachelor recaps. Ria, you're wearing the hat right now. We have new baseball hats on sale guys, Friday Energy and a beautiful, beautiful, like lilac, lavender color. The color is fantastic. The color is fantastic. This color looks good on everyone. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:01 It really does. It does. And it kind of like makes you look tan. Yeah. It's a good Friday energy script. I was wearing a green hat when I first. came in and then I saw our new hats. We're on our desk.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I immediately switched. I said, this one makes me look, you know, more refreshed. Yes. It's a great, great hat. Those are on sale now. Yeah, store it out Barcelona Sports.com. Also, Noah will put the link in the description. So if you want to just head there, you can shop for the hats.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Let us know any merch ideas you have because, you know, it's 2020 now. We need some new stuff. Yeah, we do. Maybe some more tie-dye stuff in the works. People are also asking for crew necks. So talk about that as well. I'm also asking for crew next. Yeah, we got to do something about that.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yeah, we definitely will. But we want to just get right into the podcast today because, like I said, a lot of Bachelor stuff last week. So we want to catch up on more stuff in the pop culture world, more celebrity news, New couples, Hollywood's biggest night. Yes, this is a huge week in Hollywood. And we are ready to prep you for it. Okay. So we have, Justin Bieber has a new song out.
Starting point is 00:03:06 new album comes out on Friday. It's going to be so exciting. Zendaya and Jacob LRD are officially dating, I think we can say. I think so, yeah. There were rumors about Demi Lovato and MGK, and there is going to be a friend's reunion on HBO Max, it looks like. Plus, our Oscars recap. So let's get into it, starting off with some new music, Justin Bieber. I think we all my attention. That's why we do it. We can all agree that online shopping is supposed to be easy.
Starting point is 00:04:01 That's why we do it because we don't have to leave our house. We can just sit on the couch, go on the computer, go on our phone, and just shop away. Starting point is 00:06:06 We woke up to a new Justin Bieber song. We did. Today. Surprise, surprise. I didn't know he was going to be releasing one. with Cuevo. You didn't? He posted about it this week. He also just posted that he's at the MTV building in Times Square. Like he just posts on his Instagram like I'm at MTV in Times Square. Come say hi. Well, I mean, I'm not going to run there. No, no, no. I'm just saying people are probably freaking freaking the heck out. Damn, that's crazy. They're in New York. Yeah. I got to go walk around a lot so I maybe bump into them. There was a video of Drake, Cuevo and Justin playing what looked like a little basketball. Maybe last night, maybe this morning. It was in New York.
Starting point is 00:06:44 gym somewhere. It's at Summit, New York. And I think Carl Lentz might have been playing as well. Interesting. And it seemed like quite a squad. That was having a little pickup game. Wow. Maybe we should tell Casey to go to church tonight. Cuevo. Cuevo is a good basketball player.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Cuevo. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So let's listen to Justin Bieber's new song with Cuevo. It's called Intentions. It's, we're going. I like where we're going. Yeah. It's getting better. Yeah. my attention yeah these are my only intentions
Starting point is 00:07:18 stay in the kitchen cooking up got your own bread heart full of equity show that you don't need no mentions yeah these are my only intentions shout out to your mom and dad for making you staying in a fishing they did a great job raising you
Starting point is 00:07:38 when I create you're my muse the kind of smile that makes the news can nobody throw shit On your name any streets I like you a boss You're a bank you a beast You make it easy to choose You got a mean touch
Starting point is 00:07:55 You can't refuse No I can't refuse it It takes you perfect You don't need no filter I like this one I do and I liked it more and more Like the more I listen to it The more I like it
Starting point is 00:08:07 I didn't have that feeling with yummy No But I think I have with this one Yeah yeah That one wasn't even like It was like a bonus. Like it was like, oh, pre-ordered the album and get this. I feel like he didn't even really talk about that song that much.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Right. And if you look at his album on Spotify or iTunes, wherever you listen, he has, I think, 17 songs on the album. So it's not like we're getting an album where it's, you know, eight or seven songs like we've gotten with some artists in the past that we're waiting for their album to come out. At least we're getting 17 songs, guaranteed some absolute hits on there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:43 This one is a step in the right direction. It definitely is. far. I like it. I think it's catchy. Um, like we said, Quavo. Anytime I say, think Quavo, it just plays in my head. Quavo. Every time. Every time. Um, but I think a lot of people have been talking about the music video for this song as well. Uh, I watched the whole thing and let me tell you, Ria would have been a guaranteed cry for you. Guaranteed cry. I figure that. You haven't watched the whole thing yet. No, not the whole thing yet. You've seen bits. When you watch the whole thing, it'll be a guaranteed cry. I figured that. I figured it as much. He, um, so it features women and children from the
Starting point is 00:09:21 Alexandria house, which is an LA based not for profit transitional housing program. And it focused on three women, uh, from this house telling their story, two young girls, uh, one older woman. And one of the women who is in school, she's struggling. She lives really, really far away, has like an insane commute to get to school. She's striving to be the first person to graduate from college. And and her family and Justin surprised her with a car and if you cry when David Dobrick gives his friends cars
Starting point is 00:09:53 I'll cry about this. You're going to cry when Justin gives this car I mean it looks like you're tearing up just of the part because I like I cry at every David Dobrick video so just knowing the background story and it's just it's beautiful it's a very nice thing that Justin did
Starting point is 00:10:08 the music video doesn't really go with the song because it's just like intentions. It's more about like Haley and like He's singing about a girl, clearly. It seems like he's singing about, like, his intentions towards Haley, and I guess he just swung the music video to be like, let's just talk about everybody's intentions. Right. Let's just have good intentions.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Yeah. And do good for people. Exactly. I like that message. And he donated $200,000, which I think it says at the end of the video, he donated, it was like $200,000 and you could go to a link in the YouTube video description to donate as well. The video's really, the video's super cute. You know, they're dancing around with everybody.
Starting point is 00:10:49 It's really sweet. I think a lot of people wish that this was the first song he put out instead of yummy. Yeah, I agree. Can't be picky. I love that he put the link at the end because, you know, how big this is. Justin Bieber's coming back. So he has this huge platform to make a difference for things. So that was nice of him.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Yeah, I mean, let me tell you, Twitter, there people are very happy about it. This girl tweeted, a celebrity is huge as Justin. Bieber using his platform to let women talk about their struggles in life and to promote a foundation that helps them is honestly the nicest thing I've seen an A-List celebrity do in the past few months. His heart is the size of the world. Oh, that's nice. That is nice. And the song's good.
Starting point is 00:11:28 And the song is good. I think. So I am super excited for this album to come out next Friday. February 14th, aka Valentine's Day. Yeah. It's going to be, I think it's going to be really good. I think we're going to be so happy that's finally here no matter what. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:43 And he sounds good. I think, like, we always overlook the fact that he is so incredibly talented, like, no matter what. And but when you sit down and actually just listen to him sing, he's so great. Like, even just in this song, he sounds so good. Yeah, he does. Yeah, he doesn't sound different. Like, it just sounds like the same old Justin Bieber. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:12:00 So I'm excited. He got some Zendaya news. Okay. This is pretty excited about it. I'm not going to line. Yeah, friends, friends, I'm excited about us. You know, I'm a big fan of his. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Okay. So Zendaya and Jacob Ellardy, who both star in Euphoria. Yes. He plays Nate. Yes. For those who watch Euphoria. Right. They have been rumored to be dating for a little bit, but they both say, oh, we're just friends.
Starting point is 00:12:54 You know, the classic excuse. But they were both spotted kissing. So I think, you know, that's more than friends to me. Mm-hmm. Sure is. So these friends. photos came out of them frolicing around Soho, I
Starting point is 00:13:10 would have really probably peed my pants to see them in real life. I'm not a lot. Like if I was just walking around Soho and bam smack in front of me as Jacob Ode and Zendaya. And they're both like, they have a presence. He is very tall. I'm just saying I went shopping in Soho like three days ago. It could have been me.
Starting point is 00:13:29 That could have been you. It could have been me. Although it was not because I don't think it was three days ago. I think it was probably No, the first pictures, I think, came out on Monday. So were they out on Sunday? I think it was Monday afternoon. I think it was Monday during the day before it started raining. Well, either way, I missed them, but I would have freaked out.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Really, I mean, insane. So we first saw these pictures. They looked like they were having so much fun, laughing, taking, you know, videos. They were laughing at each other's phone. And there was one of Jacob kissing the top of her head. that really sent everybody in a frenzy because they were like, you know, you don't kiss your friend on the top of the head like that. You just don't do it.
Starting point is 00:14:11 If my guy friend like kiss me on the top of my head, I'd be like, you're a freak. Yeah, I would have been like, why did you just do that? Would be pretty uncomfortable. Today, today I said, I was like, it'd just be like if Trent just kiss one of us on the top of the head in the middle of the crew. That would be fucking bizarre. Yeah, like we're, we are great friends.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Like I consider Trent a great friend, but boy would. It'd be weird if you kiss me on the top of the head. This is such a sweet boyfriend kiss. It is. It's tender. Let me kiss the top of your forehead is a just, yes, it's tender. It's just, you feel that love. I've seen people hate on forehead kisses from like their boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Yeah. Being like, you're not my dad or something. My dad never kissed me on the forehead like that. Mine neither. Mine did not either. Yeah. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:02 I don't mind forehead kisses. No, I love them. I think they're really sweet. It's like, oh, it's so nice. So to me, this seems really sweet. It does. It does. And so everybody was freaking out about that picture.
Starting point is 00:15:13 And then another picture came out more, you know, I guess it was technically last night. I didn't see a tilt today. Of them actually kissing what appears to be lips locked. Now, it's a tough, tough angle because I don't know what this paparazzi was doing. paparazo, whatever the heck you want, whatever the heck. Yeah, whatever the one pop. Heck your name is, you pop. He was like behind a pole and they were behind a pole.
Starting point is 00:15:44 And the pole just covers exactly where their lips are. So you can't totally like I can't. It's such a tease. I can't believe it. I can't with 100% confidence say that they locked lips. It looks like he's leaning in for a kiss and she's looking up at him. There could have been lip separation. But we'll never know because of the damn pole.
Starting point is 00:16:05 I can't believe how perfectly, like, this pole is for them. Like, this couldn't have worked out any better. Although, it is very clear they're kissing. It does, it does appear that way. But there is a pole. Once I stared at it for so long, I was like, hmm, maybe, like, you know, your depth perception is off,
Starting point is 00:16:24 and they could just be speaking really close to each other's face. Okay, but also, would you ever speak to just your guy friend this close to their face with his arm around you? The rest of the pictures tell the story. Like they're, they're very touchy. These got his arm around her. And then, you know, we had E post this article today this morning saying that for months they've been trying to downplay this relationship, but that it is safe to say that
Starting point is 00:16:49 this appears to be an official romantic confirmation. And, wow, I'm, this is that. It has nothing to do with that, but I'm just seeing, I didn't realize she is older than him. He's way younger. I always forget that he's so young. I feel like he should be older, but he's 22. I think exactly. It's just because he's tall.
Starting point is 00:17:09 She's only 23. It's not like she's five years older than him. Not at all. They're basically the same age. It was just like I forget that he is 22. Like I know how old she is, but I forget that he is 22. But E wrote that Jacob and Zendaya, I've been seeing each other for months now.
Starting point is 00:17:26 They started his close friends, but it became romantic after their show ended. They have been inseparable since, last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects. Jacob has met Zendaya's family and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common. See, I think that this is a good thing. Yeah. And it's something we see all the time, like, people end up dating their co-stars.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Yeah, I love this couple. People end up dating their co-stars because they understand, like, what that person, I think, is going through, right? Like, when you have a tough job, it's hard to date somebody who's not in that workplace because they don't really understand what you're going through. They're on the same show. Yeah. So he knows that she's got these call times and whoever she has to deal with.
Starting point is 00:18:07 He knows these people. Exactly. So it's kind of like, I don't know. I think it works out well for them. It seems because, you know, they've been keeping it private. But apparently sources say they've been dating for months. Yeah, they've just been lying to all of us. Like they've been calling each other best friends.
Starting point is 00:18:23 He in an interview said she was like a sister to him. I hate that. Give me a break. I hate when couples do that. sister to me because now it's creepy then you make it weird you made it weird like when selina was like oh justin's like my little brother yeah but was he yeah because no clearly he wasn't like your little brother so it's the same thing here like she's like your sister that you want to fuck jacob no no she is a very close friend of yours that you are attracted to yep yeah and are now dating and are now dating
Starting point is 00:18:51 exactly poor joey king not the joey king not that joey king has anything to worry about because joey king is amazing amazing phenomenal actress and we absolutely love her but boy was I emotionally invested in their relationship like probably too much I was way too emotionally invested in Jacob
Starting point is 00:19:10 and Joey's relationship from the kissing booth and when I found after I watched a movie and found out that they were dating in real life I can't even describe how satisfying that feeling was like watching the movie and being like oh my god they're so cute and then seeing pictures of them actually together I was like this is fantastic
Starting point is 00:19:28 but that didn't last. They filmed the kissing booth too. We don't really know what the plot of it is or what happens, but they're both in it. So maybe they just got past it. And we were talking about this earlier. Like she was filming the act, which was, you know, probably a very, very tough job. Grusome, intense job. He was doing euphoria.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Or he's playing a total dickhead. And he's, you know, surrounded by Zendaya. Yeah. And not just that day. I mean, all those girls are. Yeah, they're all gorgeous. Yeah. And not to say that like if you're around a gorgeous girl, that means you're going to leave your other girlfriend and then whatever.
Starting point is 00:20:08 But I'm saying they were both working on different projects. Yes. And focusing on other things. They probably weren't focusing on each other. Yep. Exactly. And, you know, here we are. This fine.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And you know what? I loved Jacob and Joey, but I love them more. Really support Jacob. And, and, you know, a lot of people. If you, the Zendaya fans, and I think this also goes into kind of like the Marvel fans as well, really, really wanted Zendaya and Tom Holland to be a thing in real life. That was pushed big time that they wanted that to, you know,
Starting point is 00:20:47 manifest itself into an actual couple. I don't think that ever really did. I'm kind of happy it didn't. Yeah, yeah. That was one that you can kind of understand. I feel like Zendaya just dominates Tom Holland. You know, like I'm not like a, they just, I don't know. He is Spider-Man.
Starting point is 00:21:07 I understand he's Spider-Man, but, um, like. I think, look, they're very cute. They're very cute in that movie. Yeah. These two, these two together, Jacob and Zendaya in, in real life. I mean, it just, they just, it makes sense. I think it feels. And they're both like, not to say Tom Holland.
Starting point is 00:21:27 is a cool guy. He is a very, very cool guy. But they, both of these two, Jacob and Zendaya, have like a cool, mysterious aura to them, you know? I feel like we don't really know that much about about them. Yeah. Well, we don't know much about Tom Holland either, but that's besides the point. You can find more about Tom Holland. I don't think I'm interested in Tom Holland. You're not consuming any Tom Holland content. I think I realized. I've consumed a lot. Thanks. I think I realize. I realize I'm not a Tom Holland person. Yeah, that's, I think that's just really, really wear this. I'm going to look up his IMDB page. I'm very, I'm very happy for these two. Me too. I think they are super cute and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of them. Yeah. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
Starting point is 00:22:15 And I'm payback to the bad bitch. And baby, I'm the baddest you fucking what a savage. Can't have this, can't have this. And it'd be nice. I'm here to take it easy. We have great news, guys. Outback is now available through DoorDash. That means juicy steaks, a big fried blooming onion, and other favorites can now be delivered anywhere. Like literally anywhere. If you love steak, we love steak, it is just so much easier now to get it right to your door, thanks to DoorDash. You don't have to eat the junk in your fridge. There's a better way.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Outback's now on DoorDash. Guys, it's cold. It's the winter. you don't want to go outside. That's why DoorDash is the easiest way to get food right to your door, especially now that Outback can just be delivered right to you. Don't have to sprint to and from your car or walk down the street or however it is you get to those places. It doesn't matter because now it comes right to your door.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Noah was actually just, Noah just had a delicious Outback meal recently. What would you say, Noah? A bunch of us here at Barstow actually went last night and like I heard everyone was typing up the blooming onions and I don't even know what that was and we had them and they were fantastic wow I had a lobster and steak wow surf and a bloom and onion would you look at that outback so you could do the same thing exactly but just get it delivered to go it can go straight to your door with door dash you have your computer your phone you're listening to this podcast just open up door dash order out back now later whenever you're hungry it's a no brainer next time you're hungry log on to door dash and order out of Outback. Door dash. Outback. Now just smash that order button and get great stakes right to your door. Demi Lovato was seen leaving the club. And my club, I think it was the Soho House. Yes, she was leaving. I love that they said after leaving club together.
Starting point is 00:24:42 This is, they were photographed leaving the Soho House in West Hollywood around 2 a.m. Wednesday. and that she, there's video of Demi and Machine Gun Kelly walking out together. They get into separate cars. She gets into her own car. He gets into his own car. But page six wrote that a source told page six that his Aston Martin convertible was seen following Demi's SUV toward the pop stars condo. So make of that what you will.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Listen, I don't know where to begin with this because. I like to believe that Machine Gun Kelly is, I've heard great things about Machine Gun Kelly, to be honest. I've heard he's a great guy. Besides the bad, like, rap beef situations. Yeah, besides the fact that his rap beef with Eminem was atrocious. I've heard that. We're just like ignore that. But as a real, as a person.
Starting point is 00:25:40 As an actual person, I've heard he's very nice and a good person. Great friend to Pete Davidson. Yes. Good father. Jared has met Machine Gun Kelly before and said that he was. very, very nice and cool. Jared has met Machine Gun Kelly before? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I wonder what room those two were. No, it was a baseball. I forget. Oh, Oh, oh, whoa, whoa, some type of event. Oh, maybe it was the All-Star game? What just happened? What they filmed?
Starting point is 00:26:06 Not the All-Star game. The charity event that they did in... No, no, no. It was way before them. Oh, okay, okay. It was in the summer, I think. Okay. Well, then that's great.
Starting point is 00:26:14 I mean, I believe that. What am I thinking of? I have no idea. Baseball, the summer, some events. All-Star? That's what? Was I right? All-Star game?
Starting point is 00:26:21 I don't know if that's what it was, but I'm thinking that's probably what it was. That's where celebrities would be, right? Yeah. Most likely, yes. That's what I'm thinking. So he told me a story and he was like, he was very, very cool, very, very nice. I just worry about the drugs because, listen, machine gun Kelly seems like a great dad as well. I love the videos with his daughter.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I just don't know if Machine Gun Kelly is a drug guy or not, although if one had to take a guess, one might say he is Yeah, yeah I mean I'm sure he I remember watching an interview of him On the breakfast club And they were all very concerned About his drug use
Starting point is 00:27:02 Oh really And what did he say? He was like I know it's a problem Oh So maybe I think he has talked about it before He could have been Mac Miller I remember that was a quote Oh
Starting point is 00:27:12 So in September of 2019 He was interviewed saying that Oh no That he opposed it on Twitter that he is determined to be happy, substance-free. I want to become happy without the help of pills, drink, or drugs one day. I want to wake up and know what mood I'm going to be in. So maybe he's sober and they're helping each other.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Exactly. That would be lovely. Exactly. That would be great for the bold of them. I mean, he does have a history of addiction. He has talked about that before with battling heroin and some nasty stuff. So like we just said, that could be something that the two of them have in common, that they are both trying to overcome and rise above.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Right. And in that case, maybe it works. Let's just hope that's the case. Yeah. Let's go down that path, hope for the past. Exactly. Maybe they're just friends. They're hanging out.
Starting point is 00:28:06 You know, nothing to go crazy about yet. Yeah, I mean, I also think we could just be jumping the gun here. They were seen walking out of the so house. Like, they could just be, like, the experiences that they have gone through could just bond them as friends. I'm sure they could just help each other out on that level anyway. To be like, oh, you went through this, I went through this. Let's share.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Let's link up. Let's build. Share notes here. Exactly. Yeah. So I don't want to say that they're definitely like maybe hooking up or something. Because they could be friends. It could be that type of thing.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Who knows? Something to look out for. Just want, just want Demi to live a happy, healthy life. That's all we hope for. So we get a lot of people who DM us and ask us about our makeup routine, do a tutorial on YouTube, whatever it is. Maybe we'll do it one day. Maybe one day. Who knows?
Starting point is 00:29:17 But there is one important step. A staple. For both of us. Yes. It really is a staple. I've been doing this for years. So have I. It is very, very crucial to your making.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Rune has to be in it. It's the only way to end your makeup routine. So let's say you're getting ready. You're doing your makeup. You feel like you finished. You looked in the mirror and you say, oh, my makeup looks good. But then you're about to go spend a night out on the town. You're going out.
Starting point is 00:29:43 You're partying. You're dancing. Whatever it is. Or you're like us. And you're at work. And you need to be, your makeup needs to look good from 9 a.m. All the way to who knows, maybe you're going out afterward. All night long.
Starting point is 00:29:55 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. whatever it is. we need our makeup to stay on. And the best way to do that is with a setting spray. Specifically, the urban decay all-nighter makeup setting spray. The best. I'm not kidding with you. This is the absolute best setting spray on the planet.
Starting point is 00:30:13 I've been using it for years. It's my number one. And it is a crucial step, like I said, in putting on makeup. If I don't have it or if I don't do it, it feels like a huge problem. Like when you walk out the door, I'm like, oh my God, it's just something that you need to have. I have the full-sized one in my bathroom, and then I have the travel-sized one as well,
Starting point is 00:30:35 because if you're flying or whatever, you need the small amount, I have both just so I have it everywhere. Right. If you're not using the Urban Decay all-night setting spray, then you are absolutely missing out because it lasts up to 16 hours. You're spending a lot of time, energy, and money on makeup, so you should spend that time to make it last.
Starting point is 00:30:57 all night long and you can do that with the all-nighter makeup setting spray. The best part is you can get 15% off using code chicks. I'm pumped about this because like I said, we actually use it. This promo code is great for us. It's going to be great for you. If you don't have a makeup setting spray, get it in your routine, specifically the urban decay one. All you have to do after applying makeup is shake the bottle well, hold it eight to 10 inches away from your face and just missed your face for how many times you please. I usually do two to four sprays around my face. Makes it feel good. I feel refreshed. I'm ready to walk out the door for my day. Make sure you close your eyes. Yeah. Make sure, yes, very important. Make sure you close your eyes. Don't keep those open. And I just feel
Starting point is 00:31:41 refreshed and ready to get on with my day. I feel like my makeup is locked in. It's not going to smudge. And I'm going to feel confident throughout the entire day. Thanks to the number one makeup hack, the all-nighter urban decay setting spray. Friends, we have a, I guess this is consider, you know, a huge friends development for all those friends fans. I, I'm in a weird place with friends right now because I used to watch it almost every day, like when I would put it on before bed or if I was getting ready or something. Like I would always have friends in the background. But, you know, we all know that it's no longer on Netflix. So I, there's like this weird disconnect between friends and myself right now.
Starting point is 00:32:25 It just feels like I have not been as linked with friends as I was. Right. Lucky for me, I have cable. It is on like Nick at Night every night. Yeah. When it's on Nick at Night, I catch it. And I get really happy because it's like I go back years now because I have to watch the commercials and stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Right. Which I'm not thrilled about. Yeah. Which is why I've actually been watching Seinfeld. Right. On Ho-Boh-Befeld. Yeah. I mean, I've been doing...
Starting point is 00:32:53 To me, I've never watched the early. your seasons of Kirk. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh. So those are some of the funniest. That was one of those things. You know how I talked about, how I've always been weird about watching The Sopranos? Because, like, my parents would never let me watch. Same thing with Kurt. Like, I, I would be in the other room and I would hear my dad, like, keeled over from laughing. Like, thinking that he was going to die. Like, he's laughing so hard. He can't even breathe. And I would open the door and be like, what are you watching? And he'd be like, Larry David, get out. Be like, you can't watch it. It's inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:33:25 I'd be like, ah, okay, and I would run away. And I've just never watched. That's another one. I just haven't watched. And finally, I was like, this is really where that I've never watched. So I've been going back and watching the old ones. Some of the beginning episodes are some of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. Have you watched any of the new season?
Starting point is 00:33:41 Yes, I have. I've watched all of the new season. Fucking hilarious. It is really funny. The difference, you know, I don't want to say my parents are bad parents, but like, I watched Curb Your Enthusiasm when it was on TV genuinely when I was super young. Same thing with entourage because my parents would put it on. You're the youngest. And by the time they got to me, they started getting tired of telling people to leave the room.
Starting point is 00:34:03 Although my sister talks about how when she was younger, she was allowed to watch like MTV, music video and stuff. And then she would go to her friend's house and they wouldn't allow them. I would sneak and watch Teal Ticilla. That was one of my mom didn't want me to watch. Guilty Pellate Pellatea. Yeah. Loved Teal Tatea Tila. Teal Tatea is worse than Kirby.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Oh, well, that was one that I like would sneak on. And they didn't know I was watching. Oh, it feels, you know, it feels good to not have, like I never had to sneak something from my parents. Truly, never have. But I also kind of missed the, I wish I had that thrill a little bit, you know? They kind of just let me like, yeah, you're good. I was a big time sneaker. And the thrill was probably awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Yeah. It's a ride. It's a trip. Damn. Well, I'm happy you're finally watching the first. Yeah. Oh, my God. I mean, so you've never seen the carpool lane one?
Starting point is 00:34:51 No. Oh, that's, that's a classic one. Right now, I think I've watched all of season. We finish season one and almost all of season two. But like some nights we jump around and like watch because not to put this on Joe, but he's seen them all already. So like I was like I really want to watch an order. He's like, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:35:12 I'm like, okay, but I haven't seen any of them. It does matter though. So sometimes like last night he got, you know, last night I had to have a choice because he put it on while I was brushing my teeth. And when I came out, he was five. minutes into an episode from season four. Is it kidding? I was like, I don't know what's going on?
Starting point is 00:35:29 No, no, no, no. You would agree with me. You have to watch Curve from the beginning. There's a storyline. Yeah, there's a storyline. Of course there's a storyline. You'll still find it funny, but there's just things you, that won't make sense. Yeah, it will be way funnier if you watch it in order because there are things that
Starting point is 00:35:41 come back from like. I watched all of, like, I watched all of the last season of season of season nine because he was watching it, so I'd watch it. And I totally found it very funny. But of course, there was a lot of things I, a lot of jokes I didn't get because they were references to older episodes. Don't listen to him. He's wrong. You have to watch it from the beginning. I will make, this is the thing. We watched like random ones and then I make him go back. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:36:03 okay, which one did we leave off him before? Because now I want to watch all of them. My gosh. I remember the first time I watched it like straight through from beginning to the end. I was really sick one time in my senior year of high school. I was out for like a week from school. And all I did was watch Carbrier enthusiasm from the first season to the last. And It's phenomenal. Just when you watch it in the order, it's perfect. Yeah, I will definitely complete all of it. But it is weird because I've been watching all the ones,
Starting point is 00:36:32 but also watching the new ones from this season as well. But it was crazy going back and watching season one because they were so young. Like it started so long ago, even though there's only been 10 seasons. But it was like 2000. Yeah. It's crazy. It looks so young. Cheryl looks so young.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Yeah. Everyone looks so young. but the Friends Reunion, by the way. Oh, but yeah. We were talking about Friends because, like I said, haven't been able to watch Friends, isn't on Netflix,
Starting point is 00:37:01 but that is because it is going to be on HBO Max when that launches. And obviously, people are going to buy HBO Max just so they can watch Friends. That's probably why I'll be getting it. Right.
Starting point is 00:37:13 I will get HBO Max as well. I mean, just keep whatever new service comes out and sign enough because there's something on there that I want. Exactly. There's going to be something that I want. The question is, whether this will be an actual friends reunion where they are their characters, like Jennifer is Rachel and so on.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Or this will be them coming together as a cast for a reunion that they're not playing their characters and they're really like talking about the show. I think it's that one. Yeah, I'm fine with either one. I know some people are like, no, don't ruin a good thing. You don't have to bring friends back. But I don't think they're going to like bring the show back. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:37:47 Like if they were bringing the show back, maybe, I don't know, they're all so funny. This article from. Deadline. Yeah, I think it is going to be this because, well, it says it right here. I think it's going to be good. This is straight up says it. Deadline wrote, the cast of the iconic comedy series Friends is expected to get together for an unscripted reunion special. They have agreed what she has heard, the author, Nellie Andriva, has heard that all of them have signed on. They've reached an agreement in principle with series producer Warner Brothers to do what she hears would be
Starting point is 00:38:23 an hour-long special. No one would comment, but she hears that each of the six stars will be paid in the three to four million dollar range for appearing in the special. The total spent on talent in the special said to be about $20 million is in line with what Netflix has been selling out for top comedians to headline hour-long specials like Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Ellen, generous, Amy Schumer. So this amount of money is spent on, you know, oh, my goodness, knocking my microphone, on these kinds of things, you know, hour-long, that Netflix, hour-long comedy special.
Starting point is 00:38:52 special this is friends hour long just i would think sit and chat maybe they're just all six of them reminiscing talking about the good all days maybe they think of funny off-camera moments oh i i have some stories that they want to reveal that have never been told like give me some juice give me something good i'm already giggling to myself about how amazing this is going to be because you know that they're going to tell great off-camera stories about them hanging out behind the scenes the years that they haven't been on friends now. They have stayed friends. They've stayed close with each other. It seems they're always posting on Instagram. Matthew Perry recently got an Instagram as well. They're all on Instagram. And they're all pumped up. I feel like they got Instagram for each other. Like they just every single time
Starting point is 00:39:34 one of them gets an Instagram, they post about it. It's so adorable. So it is really cute. And this is going to be great. He tweeted, um, on the fourth, big news coming dot, dot, dot, dot. That could have been about his Instagram or it could be maybe something friends related but that could also be just about him joining Instagram because I think it happened
Starting point is 00:39:57 like this on like probably on February 4th or whenever it was but definitely I think this is this is very exciting and as long as I got my suit and die I'm gonna leave it out on the floor tonight and it got fixed up to the lines
Starting point is 00:40:15 let me show you a birthday and you We have a great Oscars recap coming your way. But guys, you know this is, it's that time of the year. It's February, Valentine's Day is soon. There's a lot of unnecessary pressure on being in a couple, having somebody to share these times with. Honestly, guys, look no further than Coors Light. You could just skip cuffing season, hit the reset button with a cold Coors Light instead.
Starting point is 00:40:59 You know Ria and I love Coors Light. We had the best time touring the Coors Brewery with the George brothers. You all know that, obviously. But it has truly become our favorite, favorite beer. Coreslight is the perfect beer to chill when you want to skip cuffing season and do your own thing. It is great. Cors Light is all about the season of self-care. So take some you time.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Nothing pairs better with the chill moment to yourself than Cors Light. I know that when I'm watching the Oscars, I will be just sitting there by myself with. with a nice Coors Light enjoying the whole show. These days, everything is just go, go, go, nonstop hustle. If that pace is just wearing you down, take a moment, pause, refresh. If you need to turn off for a little bit, sit down, relax, crack open a Coors Light. Or if there are shows that you want to watch, maybe you're binge watching, you're hanging out with your friends, you're doing a girls' night, whatever it is, Corslight is there for you.
Starting point is 00:42:00 and Coors Light is there for us. That's why Coors Light is the one we choose when we need a moment of chill. So this year, skip cuffing season and chill with a Coors Light instead. And of course, guys, celebrate responsibly. We are so excited to be working with Coors Light. They really are our favorite beer. And guys, never forget that Coors Brewing Company, Golden Colorado, the best place on earth. Cheers.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes. All right, ladies. and gentlemen, the Oscars have just wrapped up. It was a three hour long show. We're on Skype right now.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Three and a half. Yeah. Oh, three and a half, yes. I mean, it went way longer than it was supposed to. Yeah. Sorry to the people who get mad when we go on Skype, but we want to give you the Oscars recap. So it's either we go on Skype or we don't give you the recap, you know? Yeah. You're right.
Starting point is 00:42:52 Yeah. It's just this one segment. Hopefully it's not that bad. Hopefully we can get through it. All right. So let's start off with the red carpet because I thought that there was a lot of standout moments for me on the red carpet tonight. There's some great looks. Great looks. I'm going to pull up the Instagram story. I feel like that's the easiest way. That's a good idea. Because there were so many. I'm just going to go in the order that this is shown. Yeah. Not from best to worse or anything like that. Okay, let's talk about
Starting point is 00:43:24 10-year-old Julia Butters who showed up to the Oscars. She was in Once Upon a Time. in Hollywood. She showed up in such a cute pink outfit that I loved and a turkey sandwich in her little purse because she said that she doesn't really like the food that's there, which I feel like is great, smart thinking by her.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Yeah, I mean, I wish I had a turkey sandwich while just watching it. It was so long. I could imagine she got hungry at some point. I know, exactly. I kind of wanted a turkey sandwich as well. I got in the mood for one. Yeah. I saw that. She she has one of those names that every time you hear it it's just so cute something about the last name butters julia butters just so just so sweet just so sweet with her little turkey sandwich regina king i loved her dress it was gorgeous really really loved it thought it was just
Starting point is 00:44:20 classy and beautiful and elegant fit her perfectly like i'm just looking at how well it fit her body, you know, sometimes you can't rest and it just doesn't fit right. This just fits so perfect. Taylored so well. I know like Regina King has been in so, so many things, but no matter what, every time I see here, I think of a Cinderella story. My mom was like, oh, what's Regina King been in? And I tried to think of something that she would know, obviously not a Cinderella story. And I was like, I can only think of a Cinderella story. I know. I always think of that, too. I mean, Cinderella stories, iconic.
Starting point is 00:45:02 It really is. Okay, Black China was on the red carpet, and everybody's saying the same thing. Why was she there? Please play the clip. She doesn't even go here from Me and Girls. She doesn't even go here. Because I have no idea why Black China was on the red carpet. I wrote, I guess Rob is taking care of Dream tonight, because, you know, Black China. She's having an end out on the town at the Oscars.
Starting point is 00:45:26 I just, I mean, I hope she gives her manager, publicist, whoever it is, a raise, because whoever was able to get her into the Oscars is unbelievable. Unbelievable. How does she get an invite? How? All right. Moving on to Laura Dern. We kind of had a feeling Laura Dern was going to win tonight.
Starting point is 00:45:52 And I'm just confused why she was going to go up in their drag. that she did because listen, I hated it. There's no other way to put it. I just really didn't like it. Yeah, I mean, so the pink and black was kind of a big trend. I felt like she was in pink and black. Katrina Balf was in pink and black. Gal Gadda was in pink and black.
Starting point is 00:46:21 But like, the black of her dress just didn't make any sense. It looked like it did not belong on the dress. It's like a weird tassels hanging from her chest area. It was tough because she has been, she's looked so good all of the award season. And like, she definitely knew, like, this was the night. She's been winning. She hasn't lost. Like, this is, this is the night.
Starting point is 00:46:50 She's winning an Oscar. And that's the dress she picked. Just, I don't know. Just sad. Sad. Her dress reminded me of a dress I wore to like my eighth grade dance, you know? Like, it just, it just wasn't right. It wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Not at all. Billy Elish, who, you know, not her classic Gucci, she leveled up to Chanel for the Oscars. Listen, people will complain about whatever Billy Elish wears because it's not their style. Right. Of course, we had a million people responding to our story like, ew, why is she wearing that? She's not going to be in a dress, guys. Yeah, what do you mean? why is she wearing that? Like, what do you expect? What do you expect her to be wearing? This is a cool
Starting point is 00:47:32 outfit for the type of style she has. You know, you're not going to see her in a dress. So, let's get over that and let's enjoy what she's giving us for her style and knowing her. I personally loved what she wore. She just flexes on everybody with her, like, full designer head to toe. Like, I always think it looks really cool. We are also Billy fans. So that probably plays into it. But I thought it was for Billy, like that's a red carpet look from Billy. And it was awesome. Yeah, I agree. Then we had Beanie Feld scene who told the story before. We've seen her on the street. Oh my God, it's Beanie. Didn't say anything at all. But I really, really liked her. I liked her dress too. It was a very classy white long gown. It had black stitched out roses on it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:26 I liked it a lot as well. Moving on, we had Janelle Monet, who her well was just next level. She was one of my best trusts. For sure. It was Ralph Warren, too, right? Yeah. Which I thought was very cool, like so different for him. But I don't even know how to describe it.
Starting point is 00:48:47 It was like she was one giant diamond. It had like the hood and everything. It was, she just sparkled head to toe. so, so cool. Another standout, Shershal Ronan, who yeah, we love, always kills it on the red carpet.
Starting point is 00:49:06 I saw some people really hate this dress. Really? I find it hard for me to hate anything she wears, but I didn't really like this. I think I would be honest and say I didn't like it, but I know. I thought it was cool. It was different. Salma Hayek, she
Starting point is 00:49:21 was covered up. I was shocked because yeah big moment at the golden globes yep yeah boomy moment which we all enjoyed which i'm fine with samma uh covering up here she looked like um she was dressing up for like a costume party she looked like she was yeah it was a little um going to like a greek festival like a greek party you know, like a Greek god and goddesses party. Mm-hmm. Where you would, it made me think of, I know this is sound so bad because she's in it, you know, a designer dress.
Starting point is 00:50:01 It made me think of the parties where like you would just wear a sheet and tie a robe around your waist and put a crown on your head. Was that? That was kind of what it was like. A toga party? Yeah. Yeah. That was the word I was looking for.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Thank you. Yeah. You're welcome. I was also looking for that word. It just came to me. I'm so glad. It just came to me. Moving on, Natalie Portman, she wore a beautiful dress and a cape with the names of the woman who were not nominated.
Starting point is 00:50:33 She wore it on the cape, which I didn't notice at first, but then when she used to notice it. Each name of all the directors. Yes. I love that. And I love the dress. The statement was awesome. And she did it in like a really cool, classy way. and the dress was awesome.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Yes. Bree Larson fucking loved this. I loved. I think this would be my number one pick, if not Scarlet Johansson, but this one is really up there. Yeah, I think she, yeah, definitely. She is in the best dress category. Well, people were really picking on her toe. Oh, want to talk about that?
Starting point is 00:51:13 Yeah, talk about her fourth toe. It seems like she has an abnormally long fourth toe. right and you know what as someone with clubbed thumbs sometimes you just that's something you just can't control people you can you make it you're the one with the club thumbs I said it yes it is people know it's people know it's me me and Megan Foxx yeah I mean Megan Fox is a great person to be paired up with for that like I really thank God truly thank God
Starting point is 00:51:48 Um, yeah, no, I, I was actually going to, like, post one of the DMs and be like, this is what Brie Larson looks like and this is what people are focusing on. But once you do notice her fourth toe, like, it is kind of hard to not look at her fourth toe. Although it doesn't matter. Yeah. It was kind of like, whoa, what's up with her toe? Yeah. But let's try not to focus on that because her dress was. Or really, people were really fixated on that.
Starting point is 00:52:10 But the dress was stunning. Yes. Margar Robbie, I think this was the best so far from her ward season. because I didn't really like anything she wore at award shows this year. So I thought this was nice. Yeah, we talked about this before. I don't know if it's just because she has a very minimalistic style kind of. Like she always does pretty laid-back looks.
Starting point is 00:52:38 There's nothing really over-the-top extravagant. And clearly that's just the type of style she has. So she is so stunning And the options are endless for her Of dresses she can wear right off the runway Couture stuff, who knows, like the sky's the limit She could truly wear anything And every time I'm just like, she looks pretty
Starting point is 00:53:05 I think she looks pretty Right But I just wish she did something that like made my jaw drop You know? Right, it's not wow Yeah Yeah We also had
Starting point is 00:53:16 Scarlett Johansson, which I said she was in my time. I'd say Janelle Monet, Brie Larson, and Scarlett Johansson. She absolutely crushed this. Like, she's been crushing all awards season. I loved her red dress that she wore, and I also loved this one. That one was really gorgeous. I think I agree with you on that. A lot of great, like, kind of white, silverish dresses.
Starting point is 00:53:39 I love Cynthia Rivo's red carpet dress was gorgeous as well. as well, like this big white dress with a cool, like, boob cutout situation. It was, and she was in, like, six-inch platform heels. It was really, really cool. I think I would say she was one of my favorites, too. For sure. Also, Kristen Whig, you said she looked like a tampon when you take it out. Yeah, guys, that was my text, if anyone was wondering.
Starting point is 00:54:12 Yeah. Chris and Wig looks like a tampon after you pull it out. Yes. That's exactly what she looks like. That was truly just my first thought. And she looked like her hair and makeup looked beautiful. But I hated that dress. Yeah, I mean, the dress was terrible.
Starting point is 00:54:29 I don't know how anybody could look at that dress and say, yes, I want to wear that. Yeah. It really did not like that. It's genuinely shocking. Yeah. And then the last one that we posted was Gal Godot. Yeah. And.
Starting point is 00:54:43 I thought it was great. I loved the, this was better than Laura Dern's take on the pink. For sure. I thought this was great. I love the lace on the top and the pink bottom. She looks like a punk rock princess. I love the statement necklace on her.
Starting point is 00:54:59 And the red lip, I think, really goes well. Although you wouldn't expect the red lip because you're wearing the colors, but I think it fits really well. How about Timothy Chalmay just coming out in like a jacket, like a sweatsuit, jumpsuit January? Because we always have the same, like Brad and Leo, they look the same, and we talked about this.
Starting point is 00:55:21 I was proud of Brad, though. Brad wore velvet. He was like, it was like he's been wearing his classic black for every awards show. And then the officers came around and he upped his game to a nice velvet jacket. I thought it was great. Leo wore exactly the same suit he probably wears every time. But I was like, look at you, Brad and your velvet. Um, how about the fact that every award red carpet, me and Noah get duped. Yeah, like the picture of Timmy
Starting point is 00:55:56 from last year or the year before compared to this year. Yep, I see the tweets and I'm just like, it made me laugh. I'm like, that's not from this year. There are so many people who tweet the same picture, though. Yeah. But Timothy, I thought we were getting something crazy from him because the cut on Instagram posted like this behind the, like this back shot of him. And it was this open back with this purple shirt and like this big necklace that hung off the back.
Starting point is 00:56:33 And it made me think that we were getting some insane look from him. And then I saw him on the carpet. and he was just in a fancy sweatsuit. I guess. Yeah, I mean, he did get to take a picture with Marga Robbie, though, so. That picture, that picture was awesome, though. Like, like, trying to get a picture with Margarabi
Starting point is 00:57:00 and then the picture that he ended up getting, that's the best case scenario. Oh, he's got to get that framed. Grabbing, yeah. I mean, that has to be framed in his house, like, yeah. Yep. She's just grabbing.
Starting point is 00:57:09 his face. Like, that's just a dream. A dream photo. That's all I had on the Instagram story. For the guys, like we said, everyone really kept the classic. Brad Pitt and Leo, we've been talking how handsome they look all season. I want to dive into the show because there were some key moments I want to talk about. Janelle Monet obviously did the opening.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Yes. I thought you crushed it. I have to be completely honest with you guys. I didn't make it home in time to watch the first 20 minutes. I knew you didn't. I knew you didn't. And I had a little recap in my head because you told me you went out to dinner. And as I was watching it, I was like, Fran is not, you have to pay attention because
Starting point is 00:57:54 Fran is not going to be watching this part. I tried to, I like kind of had it on my phone, but without the sound. So I like saw the massive musical number, but didn't actually get to hear it yet. will watch it, but obviously we're recording this right after the show, so I haven't had time. But it looked, from what I saw, looked great. Yes, I thought it was great. I thought she crushed it. Specifically, the part where she goes up to the audience and we see Camilla Moroni with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Starting point is 00:58:30 That is part of the opening. Because who would have expected this? I was shocked. Leonardo DiCaprio at the Oscars. He usually brings his mom. The last time he brought a date was Giselle in 2005. He has not brought a date since then. And he was sitting front row.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Camilla was seated in between Leo and Brad. So she was the real winner of the night. I mean, how lucky can that girl be? That is unbelievable. At the Oscars as Leonardo Caprio's girlfriend. And she's seated next to him and Brad. front row. Fantastic. I applaud her.
Starting point is 00:59:10 When Brad and Brad's speech when he mentioned Leo and they cut to Leo and it was just like Camilla looking at him like in that loving way, I was just like, oh my God, I can't believe we're actually seeing this happen. I know. A huge step. It's so, it's amazing. Honestly, I love it. I don't care about the people hating
Starting point is 00:59:30 on their age gap. Yeah. Because I guess, I don't know. I feel like maybe I'm just being biased towards Leonardo Capra because I love Leonardo DiCaprio. And I also have fought with him. I feel like I was dating Leo. But I just, I don't know, I feel like he brought her to the Oscars. Like, hey, this is a real.
Starting point is 00:59:53 No, I know. I genuinely think like that they're very much in love. Yeah, me too. I don't think Leo would bring her to the Oscars if he didn't see her as, maybe his wife. Yeah. Yeah. Who knows. I'm really excited about that. Then we had Steve Martin and Chris Rock come out. Um, he's very funny guys. Yeah, they're two very funny guys. You're just happy to see them on your TV. Whether the jokes are funny or not, you just, you feel at home. You do. I also miss this part. Yeah. So that's what I figured. And then I'm,
Starting point is 01:00:30 I'm just going through this quickly because listen, the three, three and a half hour show. We can't talk about everything. Jeff Bezos, though. That was funny. Oh, yeah. I did see the Jeff Bezos clip that really cracked me up. And also, I saw the Irishman joke about how Chris Rock had said he'd watch season one of the Irishman. Because, boy, it was that movie long. I never finished it. I got through, I got maybe two hours in and just, I have not finished it. And I have no interest to finish it.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Okay, moving on. Moving on. First ward of the night went to Brad Motherfucking Pit for a sporting actor. He really slept the whole season. We knew he was going to win. He had a great speech. He said, Leo, I'll ride on your coattails.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Any Day, man. The view is fantastic. Yeah. He got a little political. He got a little political, which pissed people off. But, I mean, Brad's going to do what Brad's going to do. And I also really loved that. he thanked his children.
Starting point is 01:01:35 It's about time. He threw them in there. You've been waiting for Brad to be a good dad. I've just really been waiting for him to mention his bajillion kids and he finally did it. So that's nice. All right. I'm scrolling through now.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Boy Story 4. There was a big gaiter where I didn't see. Aetor of Toy Story 4. Okay, okay. I want to retract some statements that I've made because sometimes when I realize, like, I really get heated about things. And then I look back
Starting point is 01:02:03 And this is about most things in my life. I'll say something and I look back and I'm like, hmm, I should act differently. And there's like really nothing I could do about it. Like we once past that point. And I kind of feel that way about Toy Story 4. I feel like I put a harsh, harsh name. Like, I just was really harsh about Toy Story 4. I mean, you really did not like Toy Story 4.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I did not. No, that's not true. That's not true. I didn't really not like Toy Story 4. I didn't love Toy Story 4th. I think that Hank got in my brain about it. I'm not going to lie. Like, I think that if I watch it alone
Starting point is 01:02:44 and I would have just thought a little bit differently about it, I don't know, I have to stop letting outside people get in my head, you know? But I was happy for Toy Story 4 because truthfully, I wasn't room for anybody else. I was good with that. Listen, the whole night now, is sort of a blur in my head. I don't know where to begin after that.
Starting point is 01:03:05 So, I mean, after that is when it really gets into... Well, Justin Bieber liked a chick's in the office tweet. What? Justin Bieber liked it chicks me on his last tweet that he liked. What? Oh, my God. Hold the phone. Right now?
Starting point is 01:03:20 Oh, my God. This is just happening. Wow. Justin Bieber likes... Wow, he really did. Wow. He liked a Bong June tweet? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:34 Oh my gosh. All right. Ignore this brief boss. As Ria and I simultaneously screenshot the fact that he liked this. I'm sorry, but it's fucking Justin Beaver. Damn.
Starting point is 01:03:58 That was awesome. That's also like the only... He's only liked like two tweets tonight. Yeah. And one of them was about cats. Damn. Justin Bieber, come on the show. Okay. I'm going to keep going. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. I'm going.
Starting point is 01:04:28 I'm going to keep going. So after that is when we get into a lot of the technical awards, right? So costume design, cinematography, makeup, production design, all of those, which, very important awards love to see these people get their recognition it makes it a lot better when you have very funny people giving them out Kristen Whig and Maya Rudolph were very very funny those two the fact the fact that and and I don't know how I feel about this necessarily I'm not dying for like a bridesmaids too but the fact that they never made bridesmaids too is kind of shocking to me just because of how
Starting point is 01:05:16 many movies are made into sequels these days especially with how successful it was I was just very surprised at that had never been done but the two of them are just so freaking funny and I really loved watching him
Starting point is 01:05:34 it really cracked me up and also I felt the same way about Julia Louise Dreyfus and Will Farrell. I thought they were very funny too. It's a good way to break up those awards that people might not necessarily care too much about,
Starting point is 01:05:50 but they make it entertaining. Yeah, I agree. Do you think that they have a say on what they're saying or are people writing those jokes for them? I think they have a say, for sure. Because I would think that the normal actors, whatnot,
Starting point is 01:06:11 just read from a script, but the people that are comedians who do that kind of stuff or, you know, have hosted stuff before, I feel like they definitely contribute to what they say. Like, Maya and Kristen, they do that on their own, for sure.
Starting point is 01:06:27 They did that, but I'm talking about, like, Julia and Will Farrow. I would think that they would have some, like, maybe they're given an idea and then they do it on their own, but they're two also unbelievably creative people so I would feel like they probably wrote it themselves. I hope they did. I'm just going to, I'm just going to think that they did because I hope that they did. Yeah, I don't know if I can,
Starting point is 01:06:52 if I hope that they did or hope that they didn't. Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. Did you not think it was funny? I didn't think it was that funny, but no, Kristen Wigg and Maya, Maya Rudolph, I thought was very, very funny. Yeah. I love Julia and Will Ferrell, but I feel like funnier than that. That's fair. That's fair. You know what I mean? Yes. But although they have a short amount of time to be funny. Right. I'm trying
Starting point is 01:07:21 to think of what else. Billy Elish had a lot of big reaction shots that people were talking about. I feel like she kind of had no idea who a lot of the people were who were on stage. I was confused by Billy Eilish's
Starting point is 01:07:37 reactions because, first of all, she made like a face during Kristen and mine. little thing and everyone was like okay what was that and then Eminem came out to perform and she was still making faces so I think that she was just like probably caught
Starting point is 01:07:53 at the wrong times yeah I agree and I feel like I don't know it was tough because then what was really cool I liked the music like montage the music movie montage of all the movies with their iconic songs was really
Starting point is 01:08:11 cool when it ended and Eminem got on stage, I just, I was so confused. I was also confused. I was expecting Eminem to come out. And everyone's like, oh, he never got to perform when he won, you know, however many years it was for the song, he never got to perform better late than never.
Starting point is 01:08:37 He's doing it now. I'm just like, who reached out to Eminem, them like, hey, would you like to perform lose yourself for the 2020 Oscars? It was just insane to me. The crowd did not know what to do. I feel for the crowd. Because if you were in the crowd,
Starting point is 01:09:02 what are you going to do when you're at the Oscars and Eminem comes out and starts performing and lose yourself? Are you going to get up and start dancing? Do you awkwardly bob your head? Do you just watch with Eminem? Eminem with all, like, how do you respond to Eminem performing and lose yourself at the Oscars? There's no proper way to act, right?
Starting point is 01:09:22 Like, if you're reserved, then you're going to get shirt for being reserved during an M&M performance. But, like, if people stood up and were like, better lose yourself. Like, if they were fucking going off, everyone would be like, whoa, like, this is the Academy Awards. What are you doing? Right. I think everyone would either all have to be jumping up together.
Starting point is 01:09:42 Like if the whole crowd besides a few people were all like, lose yourself, that'd be awesome. I'd be like, this is a great time at the Oscars. Yeah. But the fact that you had some people like head banging and then other people completely straight-faced, it was very awkward. It was. It did not fit in. Although, you know, lose yourself. Great song.
Starting point is 01:10:01 I watched, um, I watched with my grandparents tonight because I, I am in Florida. And they are both 82 years old. they didn't they didn't uh care for emm's performance yeah i can't imagine they would a lot of a lot of bleeps my my grandma thought that the sound on the tv was broken for a second and we were like nope sorry they just they're bleeping them out like we know that's not a that's not a tv problem it's just em i was like he's saying a lot of curse words that they can't say on tv um but there was a lot a lot of music A lot of music. Can we cut some of that out next year?
Starting point is 01:10:45 That was like the performances are just taking too much of award shows. Like, I get it. But I know. This year was except, like, it seemed exceptionally more musical only because I will say, look, people want all music out. I do like when they perform the songs that are nominated for original song. I do like when they do that. I'm not going to lie. But with that, on top of Eminem, on top of Janelle's musical opening number, it was very musical, very.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Yeah, it was. I'm not going to complain about Ellen John. This is the thing. I'm picking and choosing the people I would like to see. Yes, Eminem. Okay. I know Randy, I know Randy Newman is a legend, but it was a little bit of a snooze during that Toy Story 4 song. I don't even know what you're talking about.
Starting point is 01:11:42 That's, that's, you know. Exactly. That's when you know. Yep. But the standout awards of the night, of course, we had the best actor and best actress nominations that went to Waukeen Phoenix and Renello. Yeah. Both speeches, I don't know what was going on.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Let's be real. They're both wacky people. They definitely are. And I say that with the utmost for. They're two wacky people. And this was, I feel like we both expected these guys to win. We have seen Joker. Walking in Phoenix's performance was unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:12:22 The speech, I wasn't really sure where he was going with most of it. There were some sentiments that I loved and some that I was like, how did we just go from talking about this to now talking about cow milk and us stealing the milk from poor baby cows to put into our coffee. I don't really know where that came from. But then I loved the lyric he
Starting point is 01:12:50 ended in honor of his brother, but it was just all over the place. Yeah, it was all over the place. I was about to pour a bowl of cereal. I did not because I was confused about the milk situation. Shout out River Phoenix. Yeah. That was a sad, but a nice way to end his speech.
Starting point is 01:13:06 It was. And then I loved Renee's dress. I didn't talk about this, but I thought that's beautiful. Great. I didn't see Judy. I don't think a lot of people saw her. I can't speak about the film. Exactly. I can't talk about her performance at all because I
Starting point is 01:13:22 didn't see it. Just it seems like it's just one of those good for her. Good for her. Good for her. Great. Great for Renee. Exactly. Good for her. And of course for best picture, we have Parasite.
Starting point is 01:13:38 Big fucking night. from our boy, Bong Juno. Bong, shout out to Bong. He's going to get fucked up tonight. He will be drinking till the next morning. He let us know multiple times. Thank you, Doc. Because he won multiple awards for Parasite.
Starting point is 01:13:54 They absolutely cleaned up. I did not see Parasite, but you did. I will be watching it. Like, I've had all intentions on watching Parasite because people are obsessed with it. Clearly, it's a great movie. I did not watch it. Can I say that you texted me a couple days ago and said, wait.
Starting point is 01:14:15 No, she texted me. I'm going to hang up, okay. I didn't want to talk about this. I had told her that I had watched Parasite and she, and she was like, I'm going to watch it. And then she texted me and was like, wait, the whole movie is subtitles. I was like, yes. And then you just turned it off. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:14:34 No, no, I never even like, I didn't put it on and then realize it's all subtitled. I Hank was like you want to watch Parasite it's all subtitles and I was like oh shit it's all subtitles I was against it though I just was I never really the only thing that I like I never did any sort of research or knew anything about Parasite besides the fact that people were like you should watch Parasite it's kind of nice because you can't go on your phone like you have to pay right which I do anyway when I watch movies like I do not pick up my phone or else the person I watch it with gets pretty upset with me, so I do not pick up my phone. But I just never, I guess I wasn't paying attention at all while people were talking about it.
Starting point is 01:15:20 Although it wasn't getting the recognition like it did tonight during the Oscars during award season. So I never really did much, you know, that's on me. But I am going to watch it. Yeah, I thought it was. Because people are saying it's like the best movie of all time. I'm like, I have to see this movie. I wouldn't say it was the best movie of all time. I don't want you going in with those kinds of expectations
Starting point is 01:15:44 because you'll be disappointed. But I did, I thought it was great. I thought it was a little, I actually thought it was a little Tarantino-esque because it's like the beginning is a little, the beginning is a little slow and you're just kind of like trying to figure out what's going on where this is going to go. And then, bam, like the last 45. minutes, you're just like, oh, fuck. Like, it's very, very similar in that format.
Starting point is 01:16:15 But he won Best Director. They won International Film and Best Picture, the first foreign film to win Best Picture to win Best Picture at the Oscars. And I couldn't believe it. We, I had a guy tweet back at me and this really made me laugh. He was like, we let Joaquin Phoenix speak on, you know, the war on milk for forever and we turned the lights off for the cast of parasite after they win best picture like you can't give them five more minutes like I know it's 1130 but you already
Starting point is 01:16:50 went to 1130 right yeah that was ridiculous it turned the lights off on them I know that that was fucked up and the thing is the woman who spoke right after the lights came back on was the best like she was amazing so I'm really happy that we got to hear her speak she was talking about bong about it is he's self-deprecating he has the best humor the way he goes about life i'm really excited for bong to drink tonight like he's really excited about that i love that his name is bong i hope that he smokes a bong your dad made that joke i believe a like a ridiculous amount of jokes for my dad tonight about bong smoking a bong just he did not let him stop wavelength he texted our family group chat like eight times about it and then once wakene one he was like
Starting point is 01:17:38 Looks like bong shared his bong with Joaquin. I was like, Dad, you are just, he was just on one tonight. But no, I thought that was, like, they literally needed Tom Hanks to be like, turn the lights back on. I know, that whole front row was screaming. Yeah, I could not believe that. I was like, we already made it this long. Let the poor people speak.
Starting point is 01:17:59 I mean, they just won best picture, but it was very excited. I'm trying to think if there was another, oh, duh, Billy Eilish singing. the Beatles. Oh, yes. Billy Elish. The Inmatorium. Yesterday and that was beautiful. She crushed it.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Yeah, it was really amazing. I don't know why, but when I had seen Billy Elish will perform at the Oscars, I just assumed that she was like going to sing the new Bond song. She's performing the new bond song and I just, I guess that was my first thought. Nobody told me that. I just assumed it.
Starting point is 01:18:32 And I was slightly disappointed. I'm not going to lie. I was like, oh, she's singing the in memoriam. but it was fantastic and she sounded absolutely beautiful I agree I hope they put the version out
Starting point is 01:18:47 of her singing it soon so we can listen to before that yeah I think that was I'm trying to think of other moments I think that was really it I wish I watched Parasite this weekend I watched simply lively and Anna Kendrick
Starting point is 01:19:04 that was good that's a great movie really good yeah what other do we talk about oh we said Laura Dern won best best supporting out but yeah I think we talked about
Starting point is 01:19:16 really most of the big ones yeah Noah are we forgetting anything Kristen League who talked about Kristen Williams oh you did talk about that
Starting point is 01:19:30 yeah I think um what about 19 I feel like they didn't win as much as I was expecting. Yeah, I mean, they really loved that movie.
Starting point is 01:19:41 I thought it was great as well. They won for cinematography, which totally makes sense. Like, if, you know, if they are not going to win for other things, they got to at least win that one, for sure. And then I don't really think,
Starting point is 01:20:00 yeah, they were, I think 1917 was favored to win Best Picture. So it was obviously kind of a shock. I think the same thing with, you know, best director. People thought it was going to be Sam Mendez or Quinn Tarantino. Yeah. And Bong just swooped in.
Starting point is 01:20:22 It was just his night. It was his night. Bong's goddamn night. I'm so happy with him. He's such a cute, man. He was on, I forget if it was Fallon or. Kimmel, one of the Jimmies. And he told, like, the cutest story.
Starting point is 01:20:43 He was awfully hard. One of the Jimmy. He told this adorable story about how, like, when Parasite premiered at a film festival, and there was, like, a 10-minute standing ovation, and Bong, like, made everybody stop clapping and grabbed the microphone and was, like, my actors were all really hungry. Like, we haven't eaten anything. Can you stop clapping? Like, we all want to go eat.
Starting point is 01:21:09 He's just, he's so cute. That just reminded me of mentioning the jimmies. I can't believe James Corden and Rebel Wilson came out dressed. Oh, my God. The fucking cats. I can't believe. I was so mad at this. Why were they doing the weird hand thing?
Starting point is 01:21:29 This is when 1917 won. And the amount of disrespect of those. fucking cats hand them the award. I couldn't believe it. I was genuinely disgusted with the academy there. Like, you're gonna have, you're gonna act all prestigious. When M&M's performing,
Starting point is 01:21:46 lose yourself. Everyone is stone cold in their seats, but you're gonna have two fucking cats. People, their awards? Are you kidding me? That was, I, oh my God. I actually, I love that you tweeted that. I love that you tweeted that because I turned to my dad,
Starting point is 01:22:05 was like, I can't believe these guys after all their hard work have to accept their award from two people dressed in like fucking cats. And then you had to read it right after. I was like, yes. It's just, they'll have that moment for the rest of their lives.
Starting point is 01:22:19 They'll be like, yeah, we won an Academy Award. It was given to us by James Cornyn and Rebel Wilson dressed as their characters from the movie Cats. Fran, I am literally fuming right now. I had to lift my hair because I'm sweating so much from how angry I'm getting thinking about this. When they show people,
Starting point is 01:22:35 them receiving their awards of a lifetime. Yeah. It's going to be Rebel Wilson and James Gordon dressed up as fucking cats. Are you- The fact that they were able even, that they were even able to acknowledge the movie cats, considering it was called one of the worst movies ever made. And it's the Academy of Wals that were like making ha-ha jokes about cats.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Too soon. Too soon. people from one of the worst movies ever made hand you an award for one of the best movies ever made. Like, it is the disrespect, honestly. I, oh, I can't believe you brought that up. Another thing, while we're, while we're on the topic of disgusting, the Bachelor put out the most disgusting commercial during the Oscars. This shit comes on my TV. I was stunned. I couldn't believe what I was watching. They redid the scene from ghosts. I mean, just on chain memory is like, like, and.
Starting point is 01:23:34 not deserve that. No, I mean, my God, he, I don't want to say it, but he's, he's, he's wrong over in his grave. Oh, yeah. The Bachelor did him dirty tonight with the recreation that they did with Peter and the hands and the messy and Lillby Goldberg coming in. I don't know what was happening, but I was speechless and utterly disgusted by what I was seeing. Like, I, it just makes me, I know, I was coming up right there. It just makes me think even more that Peter is single. I just don't know how they could be putting out ads like this. How is Peter
Starting point is 01:24:11 allowing ABC to absolutely ruin his life? Like hey, he got He was bullied. He's, he's a pushover. Like he's just he got bullied into it. Like I, it was, it's truly unbelievable. I've never seen
Starting point is 01:24:30 a commercial that bad for The Bachelor. I love The Bachelor. I think they're production's great. But my God. That just reminded me that I have to just read this tweet. So Robert Mills, who was the producer, who was the one who helped orchestrate Trent becoming the luggage guy. He had what was maybe my favorite tweet of all time during this show. He obviously works for ABC.
Starting point is 01:24:57 ABC does the Oscars. So he was tweeting along all night with the Oscars. and he tweeted, ABC and its parent company, the Walt Disney Corporation, are committed to aspirational dreams coming true. Great to see it happen on this network these next 24 hours, whether it's writing and directing a masterpiece and winning an Oscar or being the luggage guy on The Bachelor. And he tweeted a picture of Bong Joon Ho and a picture of Trent. Like just Trent and Bong Joon Ho. one and the same making their dreams come true on the ABC network. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:25:39 Just so good. Just truly one of my favorite tweets of all time. I could not believe that he compared Trent and Bong Joon Ho in just a phenomenal way. In the same sentence. Yeah. Just absolutely fantastic. And it was a picture that we haven't seen yet. It was a full body shot of Trent that we haven't seen yet.
Starting point is 01:26:01 So we know he's going to have a big, a big luggage pull. We know that friend is about to have a huge appearance throughout it. All right. I think, I think that was about it. Obviously, we're recording this right now. So we can't even talk about the Vanity Fair party. I haven't seen any pictures yet. I'm sure those will start rolling in.
Starting point is 01:26:24 But I will just come out and say that I normally like the Vanity Fair looks better than I do. the Osfer look sometimes, so we'll see. We'll see. I feel the same way. I feel like they loosen up a little bit. It's more fun. More stylish as well. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:40 Let their hair down. Time to party. Yeah. Get a little crazy. Exactly. Going to drink till next morning. For sure. I'm going to drink to next morning.
Starting point is 01:26:50 I'm going to drink to next morning. And in honor of bong, I will go smoke a bong as well. Yep. Does everybody take an honorary rip For the band. Do it for Bonn, guys. Ritual.
