Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners, you can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music.
What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Thursday.
I almost forgot the day, but I did not. It is presented.
Monday in my head. Yeah, I almost did too. It is presented by Macy's, of course, our favorite place to shop.
I'm actually in an outfit from Macy's.
Right now, I've been wearing it all day.
I'm super comfy and cozy Nike Sports bra.
I got these leggings on,
this cool free people black jacket that I'm wearing.
And like we've been telling you guys,
Macy's is the place to shop,
your favorite brands, type it in.
Boom, it's there.
You're right, Ria.
I have been trying on some stuff
that I've ordered for Macy's just because
just because sometimes I'm just like,
you know what, I'm going to put it on for 20 minutes
and then go back to sweats.
But, you know, today had a tried on a guest dress.
It's like tie-dye, super cute with my Puma white sneakers.
Love it.
And best of all, all of our favorite stuff that we've gotten for Macy's,
you can shop also, macy's.com slash chicks in the office.
It's all there.
And Mother's Day is coming up.
What a best place to buy your mom gifts.
Are you okay?
It just started choking.
I'll tell you why what happened.
Personal friend, you're right.
Mother's Day is coming up.
You have to get your guests from Macy's.
I honestly, I told my mom to get on there.
I was like, just take a look around and see what you like.
I'm going to surprise her from stuff from there.
And, of course, the beauty supplies that they have is all the brands that we shop,
like Tart, you were saying.
So go to Macy's.com slash chicks in the office, shop our looks,
and also just browse the site.
The reason I choked was because I was like playing the conversation in my head of like how we
of how we were going to talk about outer banks. I thought about it and started laughing to myself.
Planning it out. We are. I was like, oh man. Yeah. One minute in we can't talk about anything else
besides outer banks. We will have a whole discussion. If you haven't watched outer banks yet,
watch it now.
This is where we've gone.
We've gone from Monday to Ria being like,
I love the show so much.
And I did not watch it yet
to then me immediately watching it.
And now I just, I completely understand.
It's, it really,
it really, really gets you.
It just does.
I watch six episodes on Monday and four on Tuesday.
I'm done.
I finished and was like,
I guess like,
got to watch again. I could probably start it all over again. Yeah, we will talk about it more
in the Outer Banks Recap. We do have them coming on the show. Next Monday they'll be on. We're
interviewing them on Friday. Very, very exciting stuff. I mean, Fran sent the calendar invite to me,
and she was like, this is the most excited I've been for a calendar invite. And I had to remind her,
we interviewed the Jonas Brothers. And yes, the Jonas Brothers, they were huge. But right now,
in our minds and in our hearts.
Madeline and Chase are the ones we want on the show and they're coming.
And the amount of,
I wish it wasn't person so bad.
Yeah.
It's okay, but.
Yeah.
The amount of tweets I sent out to these people and we were interviewing Bob Saggett
and I checked my phone and I had all these tweets from them.
I missed some of them that I found last night that I was just dying laughing that I
couldn't.
I'm just like,
my God, I forgot these people would actually be reading these and listening to me and whatnot.
But they were very excited and really wanted to come on the show.
And they seemed to be fans, Barstool.
I've talked to multiple of them now.
And I think that we're all best friends.
There's just, there's something that is very funny about this scenario.
And I'm sure we'll talk about it with them because this.
show has obviously been like a big break for a lot of them and like I'm sure it's all so crazy to them
and people are paying so much attention to them and their followers are going up and everybody
loves a show and we watch a show on TV and we just see like actors and we're like wow
actors so famous so like you know like we're like wow untouchable actors and and then you actually
realize that they're freaking out about their show being such a huge, like such a huge success and
there's like more in common. And you're freaking out about who's probably a very regular person.
And they're also freaking out because they follow bar stool and then it's like a vice versa type
thing. And it just feels good. I feel like it's going to be a great interview. I feel like we're
all going to get along great. And hopefully some friendships come out of this. So we'll talk more about
that. I wanted to talk about this quickly because I put up on my story the other day about my
endometriosis, which I'll get into, I feel like I wanted to like actually do a segment on it.
And I'll do that, I think, at a different time, not this episode. Like Bob Sagitt's on this
episode and we're talking a lot about Outer Banks. And it just doesn't feel like, it just doesn't
feel like it fits here. But I want everyone to know that I will talk about it in an episode where
I think that I could do a segment and it fits into the show. I talked to,
fran about it and something I was saying to fran and some like a common thing that I kept seeing well first
all I don't even really know how to explain what endometriosis exactly is because it's so hard to
explain it's like a tissue that is supposed to be in your uterus that just grows out into all
different places of your body it could be anywhere it could be in your intestines it could some people
it even goes to their brains it's it's honestly crazy um but it only happens in women and my mom
realized she had it when she was like 40 years old because she was just like throwing up all day one day.
And she went to the hospital.
And they were like, oh, it's food poisoning.
Sent her back home.
And then the next day, which is Easter Sunday, they were like, eh, I still don't really feel like this is anything.
And this doctor, he went home to eat his Easter dinner.
And when he was home, called up my parents and was like, I need to do emergency surgery on this woman.
Something doesn't feel right.
And when they did surgery, they realized that this thing called.
endometriosis that my mom had never heard of before, literally wrapped around her intestines,
almost suffocated her to death.
Like, they said it looked like a balloon knot.
That's how hard it was strangling her.
So if she didn't get that emergency surgery, they said that she could have died because
it would have just literally strangled her to death.
So thankfully, they were able to get that out.
But when I was like 15 years old, I just started getting extremely bad pains at all times,
like not even just around my period, just like all the time, extreme cramps,
pains in my butt that Fran has witnessed me, like deal with, like in the middle of nowhere.
I'm like, oh, it feels like a knife is stabbing me.
It just is so strange, just like tired all the time, just weird things happening to my body.
And then I got surgery in like 2017, 2018, because I told my gynecologist that my mom had it.
And they were like, we think you have it.
and then they found it when they did laparoscopic surgery.
And now I just feel like shit again.
So I put it on my story and so many women reach out to me like 300 plus women.
I was not expecting that many people to reach out.
And I talked to so many of them.
And it honestly broke my heart that not only were they like feeling the way I was feeling,
but they were also just feeling extremely hopeless as well.
Like they're just in extreme pain.
There's nothing to do.
Everyone's doing the same thing, heating pad, CBD,
weed, Advil, like all of the basic things you can do. And also, so many people mentioning how
because it is such as like invisible illness, it hurts you so fucking bad. I can't even explain the pain.
But because it's not something people know about that well, people just think, oh, you're being
dramatic. And so many people were DMing me like, oh, like, I've lost friends because of this,
because they think I'm being dramatic and that I'm complaining all the time. I've lost
boyfriends because my boyfriend doesn't believe me that I'm in pain all the time. They think I'm
traumatic. And I talked to Fran about this and I was like, it's so crazy that people can't just
understand that this stuff is out there because Fran deals with me complaining all the time and she's like,
yeah, I get it. You don't feel well. And she's nice about it. She's not like, oh, Rhea, I don't
believe you. Look, it's so crazy because I,
think that now, hopefully more and more people are able to talk about it.
But it's, it's, people are still so uncomfortable speaking about women's issues like this.
And I feel like I, one, I'm very proud of you because I think you not, you have a,
you have a platform, you can talk about it, you can help other girls who have these problems.
Because I've had this conversation with you where you have been in so much pain and you're like,
there is literally nothing I can do.
And for other girls who have maybe felt this or deal with this, to know that you also go through
it also can be comforting.
And it's, it's crazy.
If you look it up, I mean, it affects so many women.
Like one, they say one in 10 women, which is ridiculous.
That is so many people.
Right.
And so many doctors are still not aware of it.
They don't have knowledge about it.
Like there are endometriosis specialists and things like that that are good to go to
and you have to find a gynaecologist who is well-versed in it.
But if your doctor doesn't really know about this, then you're fucked.
I've read so many DMs where like people say their doctors are telling them they can't help
them unless they want to get pregnant, which is just not true.
Like I was, how old 2019 when I had surgery.
And some people who are my age being like, they said I was too young to have surgery.
I'm like, what?
This is just, it's so crazy.
And you're right.
Like, I text you all the time.
I'm like, I'm in so much pain.
I don't know what to do.
That was something that happened the other night.
I was just in so much pain.
And I was like, I can't fucking take this anymore.
I'm just going to ask people if they also deal with the same thing because I feel like I'm,
I talked myself into thinking that I was going to die because I had some underlying
illness that wasn't endometriosis just to realize that that is what endometriosis is.
Like, it just makes you feel like shit all the time, unexplained.
And so many other people are dealing with it.
I just want to say, girls, I see you.
I read all your DMs.
I appreciated all of the lovely women I talked to about this because it was kind of like sharing
TMI back and forth.
But it felt good.
It was comforting.
And if you do have endometriosis and struggle with it, hit me up because I will read
your DM.
I will respond to you.
And I'll probably talk about it a little more, some other time, get more in detail about
it, like the symptoms and what you can do.
Because it just goes way deeper.
then people realize. Definitely. And if you're somebody that has a friend or you're a boyfriend that has
a girlfriend that struggles with it, you got to be patient. Like there's you, there's just no reason to like,
I think, underestimate like how bad that person's pain is. Like, you just got to believe them. Like,
when you text me and you're like, this is a horrible, horrible pain. I need to like chill and do nothing.
I'm like, okay, do it.
Like this, you know, you have to like, you have to understand that we don't, like, I don't know what the pain is that you're feeling, but boy, does it sound fucking awful.
So I'm just going to support you in the best way that I can.
Exactly.
And you do a great job at it.
And that's what I said to you, like when I texted you about it, I was like, I feel like people need to hear us talk about it because people probably don't have it and they hear their friends complain about it.
And they're like, what are you even talking about?
What does that even mean?
Exactly.
And that's kind of like, I feel like how my friends acted too when I was younger.
I mean, who really knows what that means when you're like 15 years old.
Yeah.
And even for the people who do have it and like I was saying to myself, like you're crazy,
you're being dramatic, like you're not just listen to yourself.
If something really hurts, it definitely just really hurts because it is painful as fuck.
So yeah, I wanted to touch on that.
a little bit. And we also have some great topics for this episode. This episode, I am really excited
about, like, is the most excited I've been about an episode, I think, in quarantine. I don't know if
that makes sense. Well, actually, maybe the next one, the one with Jason, Maddoin. That one I'll be
most excited about. But I feel like our interview with Bob was, you know, funny as always. You said that
he's like our dirty uncle. He's our dirty uncle. He is. It's just Uncle Bob is really.
just he's taken over that role. It is, it is very funny. There are two things I want to mention before
we get into the topics too. One, the Jonas Brothers have a big announcement. It's coming today.
We don't know what it is. They sent out a text that said happiness continues. There is an
IMDB page for happiness continues and has all of them as like cast members. I think it's a tour
documentary. Shout out to this girl. I know that hopefully she's listening and maybe she'll message me
again. I don't want to say her name, but she had messaged me maybe a month or so ago being like,
Fran, the drones brothers are releasing a tour documentary. And I remember seeing it and being like,
wow, that's going to be awesome. And like, and then kind of going on with my day and not thinking
about it again until this week. And I had tweeted about it. And the girl had tweeted at me again.
It was like, I told you. He didn't listen to me. Like, I liked it. It was like, no, I know. I saw the DM,
but there's so many times when, like, if I got that DM, I'm like, okay, information downloaded
into my brain. Now I know, but like, I don't know if she wants me telling the world that there's a
tour documentary coming. Frant, I think you bring up a great point with that. I feel like people
need this message out there. If you're going to DM us with information, can you please be clear
if we are allowed to share it or not? Because me and Fran are usually under the impression that we are
not allowed to share it. So we don't. We always go that route. I'd rather be safe than sorry and say
something that somebody didn't want us to say. So if you do DM us with information that you feel like,
hey, use this, don't say my name. Yeah, let us know in this case. We'll be happy to share.
Yeah. We would love to share the news. And also happy to not share. Like I was very happy to receive the
tour documentary DM because when this news came out on Tuesday and the they sent out this text, I was like,
shit, this is definitely the tour documentary.
I felt like I was in on something.
So, you know.
Exactly.
I also, we're trustworthy people.
When somebody DMs us something and says,
don't share it, we don't share it.
Because why would we share it?
They said, don't share it.
But, Fran, I'm excited for you.
I'm excited for the Jonas Brothers.
I feel like, hey, will we be seen in this documentary?
Probably not.
I didn't see any cameras around us,
but one can hope.
Yeah, I mean, we went to enough shows that maybe if they show the crowd a couple
times we'll be around. Cross our fingers. Yeah, it's quite possible. And then the other thing that I
wanted to mention was the pillow challenge is something that's going viral right now. And I don't really
get it. I just, I feel like maybe a lot of other people feel the same way. The challenge is basically
wearing nothing but a pillow and putting a belt around it and posting a picture.
saying hashtag pillow challenge.
There's no, there's no like, I feel like a charity,
the challenges right now in quarantine,
a lot have to do with raising money or charities or whatnot.
And I tried to find like the origin of the pillow challenge.
And Hype Bay had posted about it a couple days ago.
And they had just written,
the trend seems to have originated from Swedish style account,
my forte is fashion and influencer duo style by Nelly,
both of whom posted selfies of their pillow case looks,
on April 5th. Since then, countless Instagram users have gotten creative with the prompt,
accessorizing pillows with statement belts and coordinating purses. Off white even made a look
is what they were saying. But now all these celebrities are doing it. And it's just,
it's just them in a pillow. So I keep seeing this too. I don't get it. I won't participate.
I'll look at it and I'll laugh. But like you said, I don't understand. I think it's one of those
things. People do challenges randomly and they mean nothing. Yeah. Remember the challenge?
This is one of them.
Oh, the Harlem Shake.
That was a challenge at one point.
Right.
Dance challenges.
There's really like, this is a challenge.
It's like here you put on, you can wear a pillow and that's, that's about it.
But I mean, major celebrities are doing it.
Like Anne Hathaway just did one and she recreated her like Princess Diaries movie poster.
Like she's got the tiny glasses and the big headphones and she made a, the caption was a quote for Princess Diaries.
So people are getting very creative with it.
It just cracks me up because I'm like, where did this come from?
Of all the challenges that people think up of, this is the one that stuck,
everyone was like, oh, this is the one we're going to do, the pillow challenge.
Friend, we can make up any challenge at any point and have people do it.
Yeah, I guess that's probably true.
But I feel like it's harder than people think to really get the traction going on something
like this when there isn't a deeper point to it.
Yeah, maybe we need just, like, we should wrap blankets around ourselves,
a blanket challenge. Toga challenge? Everyone just wears a sheet. It could literally be
anything. Yeah, it could. It definitely could. I mean, that seems to be what the pillow
challenge is. I'm not going to complain about it. It's people are getting very creative,
but it just made me laugh because I was like, where have this come from? And it was just
nothing really.
of course i mean celebrities are born right now so yeah it makes sense um all right well let's get into
the topics for today's show of course we have our our outer banks recap which we are very excited about
we told you guys we'd be talking about too hot to handle we're not doing it this episode and we probably
won't do it next episode because we have chase and madeline on and i'm not going to disrespect them
with that so we'll probably be on the one after that maybe um we also will be talking about
Madison versus Peter.
Oh my goodness.
Hello.
I'm sorry, guys.
I wish that that wasn't,
that didn't happen, but it happens.
Sorry for the people's dogs who are going crazy right now.
Yeah.
Or if you thought your own doorbell rang.
Yeah, sorry.
If you jumped and you thought somebody was there.
By the way, nobody's coming over to my house.
It's just packages.
Madison and Peter, they're shading each other all over the internet.
And of course, we have our feel-good segment.
We have our Listen to Your Heart recap with Trent,
and we have an interview with the always lovely Bob Sagitt.
So let's get into it, starting off with the Outer Banks recap.
I'm going to moaning, and I'm zoning. They say I'm possessed. It's the omen. I keep it 300. Like the Romans, 300 bitches. Where the Trojus is, baby, we living in the moment. I'm in the minutes for the longest. But to follow me. I'm going to go. I'm out of control.
But there's nowhere to go.
If you haven't watched Outer Banks and you don't want it spoiled, don't listen to this segment
because we're going to talk about the show and what happens.
Thank you for that PSA, Fran.
Let's get into it.
Let's talk about the show that is Outer Banks that has swept the nation.
Sweeping the nation.
Has swept the entire world.
Our hearts, our minds included.
Now let's be as.
less creepy as possible because I'm realizing that they may or may not listen to this because
I did not think they would listen to the recap with Robbie, although I very much appreciate that
they did and I understand why they would. And listen, I love the show. So if they want to listen to
our recap, gladly. It kind of reminds me I said to friend when we would talk about like Tyler
and then Tyler became our friend and then we had to back it up a little bit. We had to
rain it in rain it in we would be like oh my god we'd die for tyler and now tyler is a good friend of
ours so i mean i guess it works out in the end saying that you would die for people you'd just become
friends right or just talking about how hot they are i guess that was too yeah yeah i mean who's gonna get
mad at that they're not going to be like ew you said that about me they're just quite a compliment
you're right so outer banks is a new show on netflix um it is a teen drama i've been describing it as a mixture
of One Tree Hill, mixed with the OC, mixed with National Treasure, mixed with Riverdale,
some are saying. It has really a little bit of everything, which is why we have completely
fallen in love with it. And it's a nice change of pace because Fran and I, you know, we watch a lot of
reality TV. We usually do the reality TV recaps. We do do scripted TV show as well.
But there just hasn't been a really good one like this in a while.
Something hasn't got us like this. That's very true. I haven't.
felt this passionate about a show like this in quite some time that both of us have felt this way
so that we can talk about it. Like there are there have been other Netflix shows teen dramas that
I have loved the society. Ria get on that. I'm going to watch. I'm going to watch it. But this was
something that obviously caught both of our attentions mostly because it caught Ria's attention and
then she told me to watch it. But yeah, I would I would also say like it's like it's like
like Riverdale meets the OC meets Bloodline.
Did you ever watch Bloodline?
No.
Bloodline, it kind of has like the dark murder drug situation that Bloodline has.
I was unaware how much of a like treasure hunt mystery murder drug situation this was going to be.
Like I did not know that at all.
And I was seeing like, oh, it's like, Winter Hill and the O.C. and Riverdale, all this stuff.
I'm like, okay. And I'm saying Outer Banks. And there's the Pogues and the Cooke's. And I'm thinking, like, I don't know, summer drama. Like it was really not expecting it to go full treasure hunt. Like, my anxiety was just peaking the entire time watching the show. Because I was like, holy shit, this is way more intense than I thought it was going to be.
I agree with you. I did not expect it to go that route, except at the end of the first episode,
I kind of expected it. Oh, yes. I at first thought I was going to be more peachy, right? Yeah.
But either way, it was, it caught our attention through and through 10 episodes. Now everybody is
DMing me like, oh my God, thank you, Rhea, for recommending this show. I almost feel like Netflix
needs to cut me a check of some sort because the amount of DMs I have received saying,
that people are watching the show because of me is, I feel honored.
Although I know that they're not just watching it because of me.
They just want to make me feel good because they heard us talk about it.
But let's start off with the first episode.
I think if you're listening to this by now, you have watched the show.
You understand the premise of the show.
It's about a core group of friends, the Pogs versus the Cougs.
And John B, our main character, our star of our life.
We would die for him, of course.
star of the show. His dad has gone missing and there is a treasure to be found. He knows that.
Yes. And so it's hard because honestly, the entire show, like it is in episodes, but it all is just like one continuous episode.
Like the way Netflix did it was it was truly impossible to find a time to stop.
watching. Like you, the way each episode ended, you had to at least watch the first 10 minutes of
the next episode before you could pause and like maybe think about taking a break. It's,
the way they did it was, it was great. And also now we've, people talked about this, the next
episode button when you finish a Netflix episode, it moves so fast now. Like there's no, there's,
you don't even have a second to think about watching the next episode because it just starts to play.
Like, I would be watching and if I was maybe texting you or something, like, because I literally
texted you my stream of consciousness the entire time watching the show. Yeah, I was going to say,
if you text me, you did text me the entire time. No, I had texted you the entire time.
Like, just texts that made no sense half the time too. And they, like, I don't want to go back
and read some of them. I would go through it. And then it would just be like, there would be a pause.
And I wouldn't even realize that the next episode would be.
was already playing.
Like it was like, I was like, oh, fuck, what, what just happened?
So the next episode we play, but yes, John B is the main character.
He's got his core group, Pogs, it's JJ, Pope, and Ki.
Key, um, is sneaky a cook because she, her parents are, you know, well off.
They have a restaurant.
And she got to go to the Cooke Academy, but she hates all of them and is friends with
the boys and right away you knew that her dynamic with the group was going to be very interesting
because I think at first everyone thought oh obviously she's going to end up with John B.
I thought that. I thought that as well although I wasn't necessarily rooting for that because
there was foreshadowing that John B was going to end up with Sarah because he was staring at Sarah
so lustingly. Is that a word? Right. I don't know. I don't think so, but... I don't know, but in this
case, sure, lustingly. That's not the word I'm looking for at all. It doesn't sound right, but that's fine.
He had lust in his eyes. Yes. There was lust in his eyes for Sarah from across the way during their
kegger, and you knew that that was going to happen. Although when I was watching John B and Kiara,
I was shocked that Chiarra was pushing him away.
I know, I know.
And that's why I was saying again that this is hard for me to like think about this episode to episode
because I forget what happened in what episode.
It's all just like one big thing.
But I will say my initial reaction to JJ was this kid's bad news.
I mean the gun at the beach party and I know things had escalated and
Sarah, so like we said, Sarah Cameron, she's a kook, beautiful, has her duchy boyfriend, Topper.
Great name for him.
Topper is just a fantastic douche name.
So punchable.
So punchable.
And they're all at the, you know, they're all this party and they get into a fight.
And Topper, like, has John B. under the water, like, basically drowning him.
And JJ, where did JJ even find the gun?
Remember the scooter who died and they went to the motel?
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
And the reason, me and Robbie talked about this, we were like, the motel, it was useless.
The only reason the motel was in there was because JJ had to get a gun somehow.
Right. Correct. Correct. They, yes. Well, because, oh, God, this is, I should have, we should
have written this down. They go on a boat. They're on their boat, and it was after a storm,
after hurricane, and they saw a sunken boat in the marsh.
And they dove down to find what was in the marsh, that was in the boat, and they found a motel key.
They took that motel key to the motel, went into the room.
There was a safe gun, money.
J.J. took the gun. That's how he got the gun.
That's how J.J. gets the gun.
And then Topper is basically drowning John B.
I was screaming at my TV.
I was like, is John B B B going to die in the first fucking episode?
Are you serious?
And then J.J., bop, bah, bach.
Shoots the place up.
People are not happy, including myself.
I was so pissed at J.J.
But, you know, when we move on through the season,
you learn to love J.J.
You learn that you would also die for J.J.
Because I know I would.
And Fran had a good point that I was thinking to myself,
that I was afraid to say I didn't want to say,
I didn't want to sound too crazy, but why don't you present it?
I don't know what it was.
I don't know what it is.
About him being a blonde Harry Styles.
Oh, he is a blonde Harry Styles.
Check out his Instagram.
If you spend some time on there, I'm not saying I did.
But if you do, there is one specific photo that really sells it.
It's black and white.
It's like, you know, the whole.
James Dean kind of vibe.
And they have very similar faces.
He's like a blonde hair styles.
You're welcome for that compliment.
Yeah. Call's crazy.
Yeah.
Yep. Just felt that deeply.
But it's just, it immediately was so fast-paced.
You had them obviously trying to figure out what was going on
because Scooter, who was the man driving the boat,
that sunk, worked for Ward Cameron, who was Sarah Cameron's father, absolutely
Viaghan. Not Cam Ward. Not Cam Ward. I called him Cam Ward the entire time in the podcast
I did with Robbie. And then afterwards, I realized that. And I was like, fuck, I called him Cam Ward
the whole time. Who was a hockey player, by the way. And then Chase, who plays John Bea,
tweeted, like, we'll come on the show if you admit that you called Ward Cameron.
Cam Ward the entire time, which hand up, I do admit, I did do that and I laugh about it. I think
Cam Ward just, it just rolls off the tongue. Cam Ward is a name. Ward Cameron is a
backward's name. Right. Cam Ward just, it sounded right to me and it makes sense that it
sounded right to me because it is already a person. Ward is a last name and Cameron is a first name.
And those two were flipped. Cameron is also a last.
name. Yes, it is. We do know that, but just the way, the way that they combine, I don't know.
Maybe just because war, I don't know. Like, give him a real first name. I'm really losing this argument.
John, no, no, no, John B is already in person. George. George Cameron. Yeah. Well, you know what,
there is, there are, there are, Cameron. I'm now thinking of so many Camerons, Tyler,
Cameron.
Tyler, Ryan, Cameron.
There's tons, tons of people with the last name, Cameron.
And then I was going to use Tyler as an example that his first name isn't a last name,
but Tyler can be a last name also.
So there should.
Even Tyler.
Yeah, I know.
That was my first thought as well.
So just completely wrong on that one.
But anyway, Scooter.
Scooter was working for Ward.
Ward's, you know, big house, big boat.
John B. works on his boat.
vote and he's he seems like he's got everything he's his children Sarah's the middle child
raf the oldest weesey the youngest daughter um there's really no ex there's really no mom
explanation like rose is obviously not their mom just stepmom but there's no like mom who's
their real mom conversation right we don't find that out i'd also like to say weasy either a
baller name or it sounds like you have asthma.
It goes either way. Totally. Totally.
And I really thought at the beginning I was going to hate Weezy.
She kind of pulls through at the end.
But there, she was just, she's tattling.
I mean, she's 13.
13 years of tattling. I was so mad.
I was like, keep John B's name out of her fucking mouth Weezy.
But yeah, no, she was tattling all over the place.
And things, things just, like you said, escalated so quickly.
they're trying to piece together how scooters involved all of a sudden there are two very scary men
who come out out of fucking nowhere and they're just ready to kill all of them here just
there's no explanation there's just these two absolutely fucking henchmen that come in and they're like
oh sheriff will help you search for the boat and and and they're everyone in town they're searching
for this sunken boat that scooter was on because they found scooters box.
so now they're looking for the boat.
And these guys are just getting on their cigarette boat.
They're like, yeah, no problem.
Sheriff, we got this.
We'll find them.
And then they just almost kill the Pogs pull up.
They got a shotgun.
I will say amazing racing by the Pogues in the boat.
Shout out to their boat driving.
These guys, you're right, they came out of nowhere.
We never even got an explanation really about them.
They did end up dying later on in the show,
and they didn't really mean much besides the fact that they were also out for
the royal merchant and the gold.
We also need to remind everybody that John B found a compass in Scooter's boat when they went
down, they searched it.
And the compass, it was his dad's.
And he knows it was his dad's.
And they opened it up and there's a note written Redfield gives John Bee a clue to go to
this place and get this blast voice message from his father, which made me cry a lot,
I will say.
It made me cry a lot.
And I also want to go back to the point where you mentioned that Jambi works on Ward Cameron's boat
and he, you know, bumps into Sarah and tells her that he used the scuba gear.
Yeah.
And that is when Aweezy tells on Sarah and Jambi.
And then you texted me and said that Sarah would have been a great role for me and it was the
nicest thing you've ever said to me.
I will hold that to my heart forever.
I mean, 10 out of 10, that's a role you're auditioning for.
Like, you get that script and you are auditioning for the role of Sarah Cameron.
I will say I was really beating myself up at the fact that I gave up acting before this.
I was like, damn, if I would have just stuck with it, I probably would have gotten this audition.
Think about the amount of TV shows and movies I auditioned for that are like big TV movies.
I mean, this would have been right up, would have came right through my email.
Because, oh, absolutely, because they also, they cast a lot of young actors and actresses who haven't been in other stuff, really.
Yeah, I'm 22. She's 22. Could have been me. Although I love Madeline Clown, and I'm rooting for her, and I'm glad she got the part. But I did take that as a huge compliment.
You're welcome. I really meant it. I felt like, as soon as she popped on the screen, I was like, oh, God, this could have been real.
God damn it. It's just, this is it. But.
yeah the the connections honestly i will say like i think it did get a little there were some
predictable things towards the end but at the beginning with the treasure and searching for this
the you know the royal merchant gold um i really had no idea what was what was going to happen
who was connected to who and you know sarah he takes the scuba gear jambi takes a scuba gear from
the boat brings it back sarah's there and she promises
is that she's not going to say anything, but obviously, like you said,
weasy-tattled.
So then he confronts Sarah and, like, really yells at her, and it was very convincing.
And you kind of thought, like, oh, this is not really going to work out.
But this could be skipping over a bunch of things.
That's fine.
I think episode four was my favorite episode.
One, because I'm a sucker for love, and you know that.
and I was sucker for a good teen drama rain moment.
It was perfect.
A great rain scene.
When they were getting dressed in the store,
I think that is the moment I realized I would die for a Jambi.
I think that was it.
I truly, I looked at him and I said,
You just needed to see him in some seer sucker?
Well, here's the thing, no,
because you know I'm usually a person
who would go for the way the Pogs dress
rather than the Cooke's.
I am not like into the preppyness.
Yes.
But he looked, he looked damn good.
And I was like, I would die for this man right here, right now.
Is what?
It's all about bring on.
You know, my head's going with that.
But then this is where I also fell in love with Sarah, too.
I was like, I love them together.
They belong together.
Fuck Topper.
I hope John B takes him down.
And I hope he cries in his bed at night, thinking about them kissing on the doctor.
in the rain. Yep, I'm with you on that. They had to go to the mainland because Sarah had revealed
that they had found artifacts in their home from the, from the merchant. Honestly, this is all
going to get mixed up and I'm probably going to explain this in the worst way possible.
And I also forget the name of the guy, but they had the artifacts. They had to go look at the library.
If you're listening to this recap, you'll watch the show, you know what I'm talking about.
And so they're at UNC.
They're in the library.
They had to dress up.
They spend the whole day together.
They're flirting the whole time.
You can tell it was super cute.
And then they had code names for each other and everything.
And they get back.
And obviously, it's raining.
And Sarah's like, look, this is, this is it.
Back to our, you know, back to regular life where we're not friends.
And, you know, you're you and I'm me and this is it.
and she starts to walk away.
And I was like, wow, that's really going to be it.
But then, you know, he stops and yells.
She turns around.
They kiss.
And it was magical.
The fireworks, they went off everywhere.
Oh, God. I'm, I'm glisting in my body.
Yeah.
Look, every iconic show has a moment like this that you look back and you're like, yes.
I think of One Tree Hill with Nathan and Haley and the rain.
Like, there's always a good rain scene.
This was it for them.
I felt, oh, I also want to say that there is a tie to Wontry Hill because if you watch Wontry Hill,
Junk and Fergie are, you know, part of the show, probably, you know, second tier characters,
I would say.
But Junk is a policeman on this show.
He's a cop.
And I was very happy to see him back in the game.
Yeah, a dirty cop, one might say.
A cop that we don't trust.
No, I did not trust him.
Let's talk about Sheriff Peterkin, by the way, I also fucked that up.
I was calling her Peterson.
Oh, man.
I just was shocked.
Names are hard.
All right.
They're hard.
They're hard to remember.
I did not know how to feel about this sheriff because I couldn't tell what side she was on.
I was like, is she bad?
Is she good?
and they just, they played very ominous music every time she talked.
And just the way she talked, it would be really short sentences,
and it would just end with like dot, dot, dot, and then cut to like a different scene.
Like, it's just like her and she'd be like, well, John B,
if you don't tell me where your friends are, we're going to have a problem.
And then it just ends, and it cuts through a scene.
And the music is in the back, and it's like,
Don, don't.
Every time I was like, why do I, I get like hives every time she speaks.
Yeah, it was just a very unwell feeling at all times when she spoke.
Although she did turn out to be a good cop and not a bad cop.
The other cops were bad.
Yeah.
I want to go back and talk about the cooks and the pox fighting each other.
We saw it in the beginning when Topper almost drowned John B.
And that was ridiculous.
And then we see it constantly throughout the show where the cooks are always on the verge.
of murdering the popes.
I just was like, okay, let's take a chill pill on the almost murdering every single time they get
into a fight.
How is this possible?
But one of the times, they, big, it's so true.
There was no, like, low level, like couple punches, maybe a black eye, you walk away.
It was the verge of suffocation every time.
Every single time.
Somebody was going to get strangled and killed every time.
And the anxiety, it was pumping.
But one of the times they get into an altercation, they beat up Pope with golf clubs.
And the anger inside of me wanted to punch these boys in the face for him.
And then Pope tells JJ and JJ's like, we got to retaliate.
Which this is when I really started to love JJ.
I was like, you know what?
This guy is a ride or fucking die for his friends.
And I'm with that.
Even though he has this gun that he takes out, I said it to Robbie.
It's like, and this is the end when he's like, bang, bang.
Jonah Hill with the gun.
Or people are tweeting the Chris Jenner meme when she takes out the gun.
He just always, you know, almost uses this gun.
But he tells JJ and they're like, we need to go retaliate.
And they go sink one of Topper's boats.
Now, Topper and Rafe, they figure out, oh, of course this was Pope and JJ.
And they tell the cops and the cops, they go trying to arrest Pope.
And JJ stands up and he's like, no, it was me.
I'm going to tell the truth once in my life. It was me. Takes the fall for Pope in front of Pope's dad.
That's why JJ is a real one. And that is when I decided I would too die for him because he just
took a beating from his dad basically for Pope because he got arrested. He got bailed. And then his dad
beat the shit out of him in the car. It was absurd. I was screaming at my TV.
Poor JJ has just a tough life. His dad is absolutely disgusting, you know, beats him up. He's
an addict and just terrible.
But this kid would still do anything for his friends.
Pope, they know he's got a lot on the line with his merit scholarship and he can't get
into any trouble.
So JJ, like you said, took the fall for him.
JJ and Pope have a very cute friendship.
And I, I, like you said, it went up and down for me and JJ throughout the season.
Like there's times and I was like, oh, JJ, that was really, really stupid.
stupid. And times when I'm like, okay, good for you, JJ. Now, the times when I was saying good for you,
JJ, it was basically because it was JJ's fault to begin with. It was his idea to sink the boat.
But, you know, that's just, that's obviously just the kind of kid he is. But still, still definitely
have love for JJ. And then things also got really interesting when obviously John B. and Sarah
started to become a couple and we're hanging out more
and Sarah was still had this topper situation
she had to figure out.
And John B brings her around
the first couple times because now Sarah
knows about the treasure and she's in on it
and Kiara's like it's me or her
like if she's in, I'm out because
they have this history where they were friends
freshman year of high school
and we don't know what happened at first
they just had some big falling out
now Kiara absolutely hates her guts
and they really, really did not like each other until the boys forced them onto a boat,
left them stranded on the boat all night, just Sarah and Kiara,
where they had to make up and they just kind of hoped for the best.
And it did work.
We found out the story.
She wasn't invited to Sarah's birthday.
And she called the cops on the party.
they were like best best friends but sarah's got a problem we've seen it she
somebody gets too close to her she pushes them away she did it with topper when they were
like about to have sex and she did it with kiaro i guess like when their friendship became
you know very serious and pushed her out of her life now i texted you a theory that boy i
wish was real because in this moment i was like oh shit kiyara
definitely has secret feelings for Sarah,
and Sarah didn't reciprocate.
And this explains why Kiara keeps turning down
all these super hot boys.
Yeah.
And this will come out that like something happened between them.
No, not the case.
She just wasn't invited to the birthday party.
So, friend, I loved that theory from you,
and I wouldn't have been shocked at all.
I actually was kind of rooting for that situation as well.
And I saw other people online saying the same thing
I thought that was going to happen.
that would have added a whole other element to the show.
I wouldn't be here for that.
Maybe Sarah would have left John B as well,
and then it just would have been Kiara and Sarah,
and it would have been amazing.
But they did make up, and they bombed over a blunt,
and they were talking about nipples for eyes and eyes for nipples.
I still haven't decided, which I would choose.
I've been thinking about that for a while.
Yeah.
But it was a great scene, and then they're all together.
Now they're in a pact,
and everything's great.
We forgot to mention when Topper fucking pushes Jombie off the water tower,
and we think Jombie's dead and he just has a concussion.
I mean, that happened.
That happened after they all made up, but, or didn't.
No, it happened before that.
It happened before they all made up.
Because this was at the Midsummer's thing when J.J.
delivered the note to Sarah and J.R. didn't even know yet that that was a part of it.
And then they told her after.
and Kiar was so mad that Sarah and Jambi were together
because he wouldn't have fallen off the water tower in the first place.
Now, there are some obviously stretches in this show.
Like, that's just what happens with these kind of shows.
Like, if you watch, if you're a fan of Riverdale,
like, you understand that sometimes absolutely absurd things happen
that you know cannot happen in real life, but this is a TV show.
It's a show.
Yeah.
And one of them was John B
getting pushed off this fucking thing
and getting a concussion and a broken wrist.
That, a concussion and a broken wrist
is like if you fall six feet.
Like he was 50 feet up.
Like could have been more.
Like he was so high up.
I once again thought John B died
and was shot,
course, but no, they wouldn't just kill him off then.
But he ends up in the hospital.
And this is when Ward Cameron
becomes his legal guardian.
Oh, that's something we haven't even discussed too.
Right.
He doesn't have a parent.
Yeah, that's why they all become friends.
And he needs Kiara and Sarah to get along is because now Ward Cameron is in charge
of John B.
Yeah.
Disaster.
Yes.
He's avoided being put into foster care at this point.
That's the last thing he wants to do.
Obviously, his dad was missing.
And he's supposed to be.
his legal garden he was supposed to be his uncle but he's nowhere to be found so ward who sneaky now at
this point we're starting to figure out that he also wants the treasure is looking for the treasure
and realizes that these kids know what's going on and like you said keep your friends close
keep your enemies closer he frigging adopts john b can't get any closer and he is is
now, you know, living in, living in their house. And you could just tell that Ward was really,
really also wanted this gold. At this point, they, at this point, the pogs have also located the
gold. They know where it is. Like, they found the map. They found the plot. We're, I'm going to skip,
we can skip over a lot of the logistics here. Yeah. They found the gold. It was in a well with a really
scary old lady living in the house. She was absolutely terrifying. She reminded me of
shit. I'm going to forget there's like another really scary old blind lady from something
that I'm thinking of and I don't remember what it is. Shoot. I don't know what you're thinking of either,
but I feel like it could be any scary. Oh, oh, oh, Harry Potter. Oh. People might this is yeah, yeah, yeah. But, um,
yeah if you know what i'm talking about in the sixth movie when they when you know uh harry and
hermione they yes you'll you'll know what i'm talking about very scary old lady she's she's
she's blind they're stuck in the house they chase her out but they find the gold in a well it's all
there um and then ward basically overhears them talking about it and and then puts two and two
together because that house gets put on sale
he puts two and two together that that must be where it was because kids had robbed the house
and now the owner had to move because they were scared of this woman living there alone.
Kids robbed a house, he puts two and together. That's where the gold is. And he takes all the gold.
Takes it. Takes all of it. This son of a bitch. But he didn't take the gold until he brought
John B on a boat and he said they're going to have a nice day fishing. And he gets John B. drunk,
that son of a bitch. He brings a bottle of fucking Tito's or whatever. And he's trying to get
John B drunk and he thinks John B's going to spill about the gold. And I was so proud of John B in
this moment holding his ground and being like, I'm not going to tell you shit. I don't know anything.
And then this is when we find out that Ward Cameron had basically murdered John B's father.
And John B. has to get away from Ward because Ward's acting like a crazy person. And he's trying
to kill John B. just like he did to his dad. And John B. escaped.
on a jet ski.
Shout out to jet skis.
And you also see that clearly Ward
also killed the other henchman
with his giant hook
and tour them apart and threw them in the ocean
hoping they would be eaten by sharks or something
and the trail is getting longer and longer
of people that Ward is killed at this point.
And it is absolutely ridiculous.
He gets away.
Finally, he does also talk with Scooter's
wife who they have been trying to talk to this whole time, who finally reveals to him what
Ward had confessed to Scooter about everything going wrong with him and John B's dad on the boat
and, you know, killing him. And then we find out, this is, like I said, things really get,
and then we find out John B's dad wasn't dead. Yeah, John B's dad. Really ridiculous. John B's
dad survived getting his head bashed in in the middle of the ocean and landed on an island
castaway style where he was able to um i guess survive as long as he could he had the compass
he was able to sketch the last clue into the into the compass before dying um because you know
the sheriff had found his glasses on the island when they went to look at the island because
where they knew Scooter was going to the island.
So now John B knows for sure that his dad is dead.
And that Ward is just an absolutely horrifying person.
And also the sheriff is putting two and two together.
That Ward is the bad guy.
And that shit's going down.
And Ward did all this.
And at this point, I'm trying to think I'm, now I feel like I am skipping over stuff.
because now I'm immediately thinking plain. Ward has the gold. He's taken to the Bahamas.
Yeah. So at this point, Ward has all the gold because John B went to the house to get the gold
and he realizes Ward went and got it as soon as he came back. He stabbed himself in the arm to make
it seem like John B hurt him on the way back. Ward comes back and he tells Sarah that she can't
be with John B. And he's making it seem like John B is crazy and John B is like, hey, Sarah,
your dad killed my dad and she's like, no, that can't be possible. It's my dad. And now Ward and
John B are in an all-out war where John B now feels like he's got to take down Ward Cameron. He
finds out that Sarah is going to go to the Bahamas with Ward. They're going to like work on his
business. Ward is trying to get Sarah out of there so that she can't figure out what's going on.
And he drives to, and they don't drive there. They end up at the place where the plane is about to
take off. He sees the gold being put into
the plane and then he gets in the van and he
drives through and he drives in front of the plane so that ward has to stop
and magically the plane stops. Sarah put two and two. Sarah definitely put
two and two that that was the gold in the
right. She started panicking. Yeah, she started panicking.
Pope actually is the one who was like, hey guys, my dad said that
you know, the plane was heavy and they needed help and he was like we got to get
they're fast. He has all the gold in the plane. We've got to get it. And he could see that.
Is that when he left the merit scholar for left in the middle of the interview? Yeah. So he left
in the middle of his interview for the merit scholarship. Yeah. They would ride or
yeah. His future down the toilet. They would ride or die for their friends. That's why I respect
them. And John B sees Sarah struggling and he's like, oh no, he's forced to go on to the plane.
I got to get in there. The plane stops. Of course, Sarah wants to be with John B. She's like,
oh my god, John B.
John B's like Sarah.
And they're like, fuck you, Ward.
And then finally, the sheriff shows up
and she's like, Ward,
you are under arrest
for the murder of John Rutledge.
He's getting in handcuffs.
This is a cheering moment.
And then that asshole rife
comes out of nowhere
and shoots Sheriff,
Sheriff Peterkin,
and they place the blame
all on John B.
And Ward Cameron locks
his daughter, Sarah Cameron,
in her room so that you can't tell the truth.
I, you know, we didn't talk enough
about Rafe being an asshole
throughout this entire thing.
He sucks so much in the show.
I'm sure he's a great person outside of the show.
But he sucks so much in the show.
I fucking hate his character.
And then he fucking killed the sheriff
and blamed it on John B.
I have not felt a hatred
for a fictional character as as much as I do for rave in a long time.
Like there, he just throughout the show is just the privileged kid who is a total dickhead.
He's doing drugs.
He's selling drugs.
He's absolute disaster.
He, you know, he's whatever feels unloved by his dad.
Give me a break.
And it's just like makes these horrible decisions.
He's beating people up.
he is just like
really
he's just so messed up
and then you see him shoot the sheriff
and I was like this fucking kid
oh my God
and he continues to be a piece of shit
lying to everyone
talking about how it's all John B
John B's like the most wanted man
in the world at this point
his faces everywhere
they haven't been hiding
um
he's just absolutely insane
and Sarah finally figures out what's happening
because they,
Keara snuck up to her window
and she was locked in to show her the poster
to know that they've been lying
and everyone said that John B
that, you know,
Ward and Rafe,
everyone saying that it was John B who did it.
And it was just,
it's just ridiculous.
Words all,
you'll learn that it's family,
the blinds blur right and wrong,
you just got to stick with your tribe.
A whole lot of bullshit.
So much,
bullshit. And so, you know, we'll skip through the, all the basics, but John B was on the run.
He was going to tell, um, the sheriff's office that it was Rafe who killed Sheriff Peterton.
I keep wanting to say Peterson, Peterson, whatever, Peterkin, that it was rape, but he has blood
on his hands and he hears the radio say, we are looking for suspect, uh, and they say his name and
they describe him and then he runs out of there.
And the police are like, don't move, don't move.
And he fucking sprints and he's just on the run until the end of the show, basically.
I mean, we can go through all the things that happened.
He ran away, ended up in one of the cooks' houses.
Then he was locked in the bathroom.
They ended up in the church where him and Sarah, I think, had sex for the first time.
I'm not exactly sure if that's what happened, but I think it was.
Yeah.
And then somehow Topper ends up there because,
this is just that show.
Topper's lost his mind.
Topper loses his mind and takes the blame,
well, not the blame.
He puts on John B. Sweacher and walks out of the church.
To prove his love for Sarah.
To prove his love for Sarah as if Sarah is going to fucking end up with Topper at the end of this.
No.
No.
Topper really, talk about your first love making you crazy.
He absolutely lost it for her pretty much.
Yeah, when he was on the run,
things really were insane. I also want to say that boy did John B make the police force look like
big chumps. These guys couldn't catch him all season long. There's no way. They just looked like
pretty bad police. And then things also got a crazy too because like you said, he was locked in
the laundry room of the kid's house. He has, I forget his name, but he has Topper guarding the
door as he runs off to get the cops. And the whole time you're like, oh, also just an adorable
John B moment when Topper was like, oh, did you fuck her? And he was like, oh, man, like, why did you
got to use that word? Yeah. I was like, oh, John B. Yeah, how sweet of you. Make love.
What a gentleman. But then it got very, like you said, unbelievable again,
that he, Topper, without hearing anything,
John B was like able to move the dryer or washing machine like out of the way.
Like, that's obviously the dryer vent that connects to the outside air.
And he just, he moved that dryer.
Didn't make one sound.
This guy is Superman.
Yeah, it was, it was fantastic.
He escaped again.
They continue to be on the run where I'll just say, finally they,
come up with a plan
to fix up
JJ's dad's boat
they're going to meet at 3 p.m.
He and Sarah are going to get on that boat.
They have a plan. They're going to ride away.
They'll stay on the boat, stay in different places.
They'll end up in Mexico.
But things, I guess,
like, things don't
totally work out.
They end up, you know, him and Sarah on the run.
They're on power boards. Sarah gets caught by
friends while John went back to the house because you wanted the gold, which, thank God he did.
The one piece of gold they had. Yeah, that one piece of gold that they had. Also, powerful moment when he's
straight up talking to the cops in their cop car and then steals their car. And the cop has to be like,
the suspect is driving a sheriff's car. And like I said, made them look real dumb. Yeah,
made them look terrible. And then obviously we saw Sarah go and try to tell the people that
Rafe killed the sheriff, but Ward is there obviously being a monster as usual.
That's when Sarah decides to run away. And now these two are on the boat and there's a storm
brewing and things are getting a little crazy. Kiara, Pope and JJ were all taken in by the
cops for questioning because they were obviously seen with the cop car in the spot where
John B. had taken off in the boat. And now John B. and Sarah are on this boat. They're spotted.
They send out other boats to go chase after them.
And there is an extremely large storm, a tornado maybe even, that they're going into
and they're not turning around.
And they're like, all right, we need one last hope.
Let's get Ward Cameron on the radio.
He's like, John B, if you love my daughter, take a look at her and turn around for her.
You guys are going to die in that storm.
Please turn around.
And John B just goes, he's like, Ward, are you listening to me?
I'm coming for you.
And he's, and in this moment when he did not turn around for Sarah, I was like, you know what?
Fuck yeah.
He hates Ward so much that he now is going to kill himself and Sarah because he really,
and his daughter because he really, really hates him.
And rightfully so.
He was like, you killed my father, your son killed the sheriff and now you're framing for it,
you framing for it.
And the cops were listening.
They were like, oh boy, we got a question Lord after this one.
Yeah, they're like, ooh, maybe we, maybe we got this.
one wrong. Ms. Sarah's on the boat, she's like, I'd rather die than the without you. Like,
they're ready to risk it all. This is, this final moment, these final moments, like, I just
had my, like, palm on my forehead because, first of all, all powers out so they're like,
oh, we can sneak by. They go, the god, like, the goddamn FBI, the SWAT, like, every,
everybody is in this one spot. And they're telling me they had to take that boat right past
that spot.
Like they were like
shh, we'll just float in the
tile, take us. There was no other
route out of there than right
pass. They obviously have to go right pass.
The lights turn on. They get caught
like you said. They're chasing after him.
John B.
is basically like, fuck you if we're
dying. We're dying together. And
you don't get your daughter back.
They go, they have to turn into
the storm. The storm
absolutely takes them
down. The boat flips.
you're like, oh shit, are these two fucking dead? Like, is that, is that it? In my head, I was like, I know
they can't be dead. Like, this is the whole thing. There's no way. And of course that,
because this is, this is television, folks. They, they survive, you know, next morning,
however many hours they've been in this water. They survive. They're still together.
and they spot a huge tanker ship, you know, cargo ship out in the distance.
Sarah uses that one last piece of gold to reflect the sun to try and be like a, you know, a signal to the boat.
The boat sees them.
They flash the light.
They pick them up.
And what do you know?
The boat is going straight to the Bahamas.
We're all the gold is.
Woo-hoo!
Let's go.
Humped. Just like you, I was like, oh, no, they did not just die. I was yelling at my TV. I was like,
I swear to God, if I do not see Sarah and Jambi's faces at the end of this finale, I'm going to lose it. I'm going to lose my shit.
But thankfully, they're on their way to the Bahamas now. You know, obviously we want a second season, but at this point in time, they can't film a second season right now.
Netflix has to approve of a second season, which obviously they will. I mean, they're not dumb enough to not approve of it.
the second season.
Yep.
So that will happen.
I don't know what I'm rooting for, but I'm envisioning Sarah and
John B lounging by their fucking mansion pool in the Bahamas with all the gold in the
first shot of season one.
That would be great.
I feel like, I feel like that won't happen.
I know.
I feel like they're going to be chasing this gold for multiple seasons and it's just
going to be just out of their grasp.
Like just every time.
Just out of their grasp.
I'm hoping that Rafe and Ward fucking justice is served.
I don't know how, but something's going to happen.
Something better happen.
But it was a pretty insane final episode.
I think if you got to the end and you were like, oh, wow, that is far-fetched.
Yeah, that's the whole point.
That's the whole point.
Yes, they survived that horrible storm.
and yes, they were rescued by a giant cargo ship
that just so happens to be going
to the same exact place where Ward sent the cold.
And you know, I love it.
That's why we fucking love the show.
We are burning for them.
And like I said, I just cannot wait until we have a season two.
I hope it's more dramatic than the first one.
Like, it was already so traumatic, give me even more.
I'm with you on that, and it was fantastic,
and I'm so excited to,
I'm so excited to interview Madeline and Chase.
I mean, we didn't even really,
we kept it pretty cool, I will say,
as far as the love for John B.
goes throughout this recap, but...
Oh, yeah, there are so many things I wanted to say that I did not say.
Boy, do we love him?
Oh, of course. Like we said, the shirts are on sale.
We would die for John B.
He also very much appreciates the shirts.
He reposted on his story.
He seems to really appreciate us being fans of the show and Madeline as well.
And Pope, I've talked to as well.
And they just are excited and they're excited we like the show.
And I'm excited they are coming on this show.
So that will be a lot of fun.
We'll get them to answer a lot of questions that I'm sure we all have.
DM us if you have specific questions for them.
Don't make them like weird.
don't be like, oh, you know, John B, would you marry me?
Because, you know, I'm not going to say it, but it's...
I was going to say, John B, would you marry me?
Because we're already going to ask him that about us.
Yeah, like, well, because we all want him to, and it's just not fair.
Hank is lurking.
That was very funny.
No, you're very right.
Look, I said about Rafe that I didn't feel that much hatred toward a fiction.
character. I haven't felt the love for a fictional character like this in quite some time.
Maybe since Lucas Scott, Lucas Scott was really like one of the first fictional characters
that I really loved so much. It's, it's close to that. It really is. Yeah, I'm trying to think
about what kind of character I like just as much as him. Maybe Tim Riggins. Yeah, Tim Riggins. Yeah,
That's, I would think that's a good one for you.
Tim Riggins, though, it was kind of like, yeah, I love Tim Riggins, but you also are now
banging your best friend who is in a wheelchair's ex-co friend.
So like, I don't necessarily think you're the best person ever.
John B. is too pure.
He's too pure.
He's precious.
He needs a great life.
Yep.
And he's not bad on the eyes.
Not at all.
Not even a little bit.
I mean, let's talk about it. It's insane. It's insane. Yep, exactly. And ladies, you know,
we're talking about. Friends, we got, we have to reel it in. I know. That's it. That's all I'm
going to say. All right. I'm done. Thank you. Okay. I don't know. I'm trying to be done,
but I don't know if I could stop myself. I know. Yep. Yep. So buy the shirts. I would die for
John B. If you would die for him, because I think everybody at this point would. We also have really cool,
Polg Life, long sleeve and sweatshirts on sales well.
Yeah, by the way, people from the Outer Banks, not happy with me.
Not happy with me at all about my shirts.
But they don't understand.
I'm talking about the show, not actually the Outer Banks.
I have decided that it's like, I mean, obviously, because this is different too,
because it's fictional, but like it feels like when you would ask people who are really
from the Jersey Shore about Jersey Shore and they, about the show, and they just were
filled with absolute hatred.
Right.
And I feel like people could feel that way about the Outer Banks,
that the actual location was not shown truthfully enough in the show,
but it's TV, it's fake.
Exactly.
And I think that wraps it up for the recap.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
And if you listen to this...
That was way longer than I expected.
I'm pretty sure that was an hour.
I'm not exactly for it, but it felt extremely long.
Like a three-hour podcast. Sorry, everyone.
We're just going to cut out all the other topics.
Just kidding. We won't.
But still.
They'll be really short, though.

We got some bachelor drama behind the scenes.
Madison and Peter.
Yeah, they can't stop shading each other.
And honestly, that's fine.
Give us the entertainment we need during this time.
It seems like Madison went on Caitlin Bristow's Off the Vine podcast.
Shout out's Caitlin Bristow.
We love her.
And she spilled some stuff about Peter.
And she said that, and she did.
And she did, you know, she was shading him, but she did it in a respectful way.
It was respectful shading, for sure. It was like very nice shading. Like the shade was there, but it was
like the way it was communicated. It still sounded nice, you know? It's like if you say an insult,
but in a really nice tone, it feels like less of an insult. And she said that Peter had been
texting her just two days before he was spotted with Kelly.
Chicago. It is insane. So first of all, she says that. She also talks about how she and Kelly were
like best friends on the show and how obviously things are different now. But that, you know,
Peter was texting her. Seemed like maybe he wanted to reconcile or see if they could work things
out. So she just communicated that she obviously felt really weird.
about this, really torn about it because bam, two days later, there's the pictures of him in Chicago
on her birthday, no less. And, wow, I know. And so she just continued to talk about that. And obviously,
that got picked up, that got picked up on everything. Like, that was on, that was, you know,
everybody's talking about, oh, Matt, I said, tell all interview, the whole thing. She's talking
about Peter. Look what Peter did. And then Peter commented.
on not even like the Off the Vine post,
Bachelor Nation Scoop, the Instagram account,
posted a just off the vine recap, basically,
and they posted clips from her on the show,
and they had written in the caption,
Madison really dish the tea today on OTV.
She opened up about Peter,
texting her two days before we spotted Chicago, Kelly,
eye emojis, what are your thoughts at all she spilled?
Pete commented on
I was about to say pilot Pete
because I'm reading his Instagram name
but I don't need to call him that.
Pete commented on that post,
the Bachelor Nation Scoot post,
tagging Maddie and saying
you'd think you'd have a little more respect
for this situation given we both know
there's more to the story.
Dot, dot, dot.
So once again, here we go.
Like the wheel keeps spinning.
It's just fucking never ending
with this guy and all of his women
and everything that's going on.
And we knew something was going on
because all the girls made that TikTok.
All the girls, you know, tons of girls from Peter sees
and made that TikTok.
Kelly clearly wasn't in it.
Somebody commented, where's Kelly?
And Maddie said, with our ex, LOL.
Yeah, you could tell they're not happy.
But the thing is, it's hard.
Obviously, we know what happened with Madison and Peter.
It's hard for Madison to pull the,
she was my best friend card because you guys were both on the show competing for the same man.
Yeah. So yeah, you guys were best friends, but you also were competing for the same guy in the
first place. You know, it's not like Kelly just took Madison's man. Kelly also was competing for the
same person. It is kind of strange that now after everything Kelly is with Peter, but, you know,
what are you going to do at that point? There's nothing, they're not going to be friends. Kelly would
rather be with Peter, clearly. Yeah. And there's just, like, there's,
There's never been so much he said, she said, I feel like in post show in a long time,
because it's just Madison's side of the story, it's Peter's side of the story, it's Barb's side
of the story, it's Kelly's side of the story, like everybody has their own version of what is going
on. Like Madison went on talking about the text she received. What text did Madison send back
to Peter? If she sent any back, obviously she's not going to talk about those, but maybe that's
what Peter was alluding to, but also Peter, maybe, maybe just bite it. Like, maybe just
swallow your pride on this one. You're with the girl you like. You clearly have a crush on
Kelly. Madison, you guys broke up again on national TV after your mom tried to absolutely
eviscerate her. Like, maybe, maybe just let her win this one. Like, let her just take this.
Wait, is the word eviscerate?
Yeah.
She eviscerated.
Barb eviscerated her.
Am I not saying that right?
No, you probably are.
I probably have been saying it wrong this whole time.
What do you say?
I don't want to say it.
Yes, eviscerate to disembowl someone.
Deprive.
Eviscerate.
Sorry, I'm just sounding it out.
Yeah, I guess that's the correct way to say it.
Eviscerated.
What?
I don't want to
let's just continue
I don't want to make my self sound
even dumber
let's just continue
okay anyway
I'm saying
this might have been one
that Peter could have just
let it slide you know
and then like the cycle would have ended
maybe that would have been it
now it's like
oh is Peter going to say anything else
is Madison going to say anything else
is Kelly going to jump in and say something
hopefully
It's just never, it's actually never ending drama with this group.
And I'm fine with that.
We are back with our Listen to Your Heart recap.
It's week two.
We have Trent with us.
Hey, Trent.
Hello.
Thank you for having me.
You're welcome.
We are excited to talk about another episode of Listen to Your Heart.
It's getting interesting.
I feel like we're...
pulling into paradise territory.
And we got some good,
we got some good dirt,
I feel like.
I do want to say one thing right off the bat
that I got to learn these names.
I don't know why.
I'm usually pretty good about picking the names up
within the first two weeks,
but now we're headed into week three.
And there's still a couple people
who I don't know who they are.
So I'm having a little trouble with that.
Otherwise, I'm still in on the show.
I'm just having a little trouble
getting to know these characters
as opposed to other seasons.
I feel you, Trent.
It kind of feels like we don't have to get to know these characters.
It feels like this is going to sound mean.
It just feels like we're not going to get attached to them
like we would with the other seasons.
So we feel as if we don't even have to remember their names.
Although that's not true,
and we will end up remembering them.
I'm sure we'll get attached to them.
That's just kind of what it feels like right now.
You know what was a strange part of it too
was the first time we saw Chris Harrison this week.
He was in like a different outfit than we're used to seeing.
And not that he's not taking the season seriously, he definitely is.
But something about that outfit was sort of like, yeah, I guess I'll stop by the mansion and I'll give him a date card and then I'm going to get the hell out of you.
I thought it was like his cool guy music outfit.
Like let's, you know, like, oh, I'm chill.
I'm hip.
Like, let's all sing a song together, guys.
It was like a bomber jacket.
Somebody said they looked like Neo from the Matrix.
Yeah, the jacket didn't really have a collar, I think also.
That was a little weird point to it.
But yeah, it seemed like a Chris Harrison cool guy outfit.
All right.
I'm with that.
I like that.
I like that.
And I also think that with the names thing, it's because we're seeing so much of certain people and then like none of others.
You know, like we have gotten so much Jamie and Trevor that like somebody like,
like Becca. Like, who's Becca?
Like, Becca is, there's...
Who is Becca? Seriously, who's Becca?
No, she really is on the show. Like she, her Becca and Danny.
Becca and Danny. Who's Danny?
Danny's the Dylan. Danny's the Dylan.
Oh, okay. I tweeted about Danny so much before I knew who it was that people were tagging him under
my tweet and he was like, dude, that's me. I'm like, okay, you're Danny. This is a good way
to introduce yourself. Yeah. Because on the show, he would be in conversations with like the
Jamie's and the Trevers, but I would be, they would never give him like, this is Danny.
They got no airtime. They haven't gotten a date or anything. So it's fair that we don't know
these people because they've spoken for two seconds on our TVs. We don't know them yet. But like
you said, Chris Harrison was the first two popped in. He had his outfit on. He had a date card.
It seems like as always, listen to your heart is just going to be his catchphrase for the
whole season. I love it. I mean, it is the name of the show. Yeah.
as always, listen to your heart.
I just getting very excited when he says it for some reason.
I don't know.
It is the main show, but they don't,
but on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette,
they're not like, all right, here comes The Bachelorette.
Right.
But there's more, not really.
As I was saying it, I was like, I don't think that's right.
But like, they have their own catchphrase.
Like Chris Harrison has his own set of lines
that he does for The Bachelorette and the Bachelorette.
that he had to mix it up for this one.
So this is his, listen to your heart.
It's just him saying, listen to your heart.
It's like, ladies and gentlemen, the final rose.
Or ladies, the final rose, gentlemen.
It's the final rose for the evening.
You know, it's just, he just has to, he has to go buy the books.
But Jamie got a date card, the first day card.
And it seemed kind of unfair.
I mean, she just had a date.
Just like we don't, we want to see any of the other people.
Obviously, she took Trevor.
I was so pissed about that because why?
She just had a date.
There's a million other people on the show.
Give them a date card.
Oh, you're doing this.
So we have to watch Trevor and Jamie together.
I can't stand Trevor.
I can just see right through him.
I'm like, oh.
And what I said last week just still stands.
Like people are like, oh, he's so hot.
I'm like, you can't see that this so-called hot man is actually extremely
devious.
Yeah.
Totally.
waiting for Ria's rage tweets about Trevor,
I would just like waiting for them to happen.
And then they happened all in a row.
Like they were just exclamation points, capital letters.
You just, I don't like Trevor either.
Clearly he's not like a great person, which we find out.
But like Ria really doesn't like Trevor.
Well, and to top it off, his ex-girlfriend, Sierra,
we discovered that she follows us on Instagram and follows chicks in the office.
So, like, there has been interaction with her.
And Trevor sucks.
Trevor sucks.
Yeah, I think that I don't think he's great.
And I think that I've seen that from the beginning.
And I worry about people.
Genuinely, this is why I'm yelling about how much he sucks,
is because I worry about people who can't see through people like that.
It scares me that people could just like,
yeah, just fall under the trap and get manipulated.
It's like, be a little.
little, you know, more aware of the people you're surrounding yourself with. That's a devious person.
You could tell. Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you. She's 21 and she says that every relationship she's ever been in,
she's been cheated on. So of course, she's attracted to this guy, Trevor, who has a history of cheating.
Yeah, Jamie just like has these blinders on where she thinks he's so good looking and he's going to be
such a good musician that they should hang out all the time. He was, you know, you know,
He doesn't even sound as good as Ryan.
Like, it's so clear.
We listen to them sing together and he just, American Idol, who?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm with you on that, Rhea, because they, so it was obviously like a classic Bachelor
setup.
They brought in Natasha, who's a new girl, and basically had Natasha say, like, oh, I know
Trevor's ex-girlfriend, shady shit happened, the whole thing.
And then it cuts to Jamie and Trevor on their date, and Jamie's, like,
Jamie's like, oh, I've been cheated on in every relationship I've ever been in.
And it's like a slow zoom on Trevor.
They might as well have just put the curb music in there as it zoomed in on,
on Trevor.
Right.
Because he was, he was toast.
And they also set up poor Jamie, like just makes her look bad because she's like,
how is he single?
Oh my God.
Every, all these other girls, their loss is my gain, I guess.
Like, she's so happy and giddy about it when it's all just a disaster.
And they really.
really don't sound good together,
which I feel like is going to be a huge part of this show later on
is how they actually sing together.
And they sang Girl Crush on outside where they were busking or whatever.
And not, it was just, it was just not good.
I got a couple things.
I got one, the first is these dates are hilarious that like,
on a Bachelor and Bachelorette season,
they're like, let's get in a helicopter.
And let's go look at this beautiful scenery
overlooking the water and listen to your heart they're like you're going to go play on a street
corner for dollar bills for change which is amazing yeah and who what was my other point what was I
going to say shoot I lost it oh oh I don't know I'm saying I don't know who sounds good and who sounds
bad I hear people sing and I'm like you sound amazing yeah uh they're not good in my personal
opinion. Just because, and like, Girl Crush is just a song that, like, you can get away with
kind of whisper singing. Like, Ria and I could sing a Girl Crush duet together, and it wouldn't sound
that bad. And we stink at singing. Ria, Ria's like, I'm a great singer. No, no, no. The whole
time when I was watching, I was like, damn, I could be on this show because you don't need to be a good
singer. Like, it's, or not, you don't need to be a good singer. You need to fake it. Yes. Some of
of them are definitely really talented. I think Rudy has an awesome voice. We haven't really got to hear
her like beltie yet, but I feel like she has a great voice. Like Jamie, who sings kind of, it seems like she
sings a lighter, like pop country stuff. And it's just, it's not doing it for me. I'm just like, you know,
when you sing like, I got a, like, it's very easy to pull off as you're just kind of talking, but
I just don't think that Jamie. She sounded better with Ryan. I don't think that Jamie has, uh,
the star power right now.
Because she doesn't, you can't be running around thinking you and Trevor from American Idol are going to make it and also think that you are going to succeed as a singer. You need to drop the other one and just focus on your singing. Because if you focus on Trevor, I feel like I'm giving this girl a pep talk about her career. But she's focusing on all these bad boys cheating on her, which I guess would be good for lyrics purposes if she had to write some breakup songs. But she's surrounding herself with worse singers than if she would sing with Ryan, they could be powerful.
Powerful.
And Trevor would absolutely just jump, like stop all over her.
He would scam her.
He would scam her.
He had the opportunity.
Like, if he knew that he could, you know, grow his career and she would be left in the dust,
he would do it.
In a second, in a millisecond.
Yeah.
So that's going to be really interesting to watch.
Obviously, Natasha is friends with Sierra.
she doesn't really know Trevor, she never met Trevor.
And they meet on the show, and he's super awkward because he's like, you look familiar, but I don't know who you are.
And Natasha's like, I know your ex, and I know all that you've been doing.
So obviously Natasha tells everybody else.
It's this whole big thing.
And she confronts Trevor and Trevor, Trevor and Jamie eventually talk about it.
and Trevor said that he was emotionally cheating, not physically, emotionally, emotionally.
First off, I'd like to say when Natasha came in and she said that she was from the East Coast,
New York, through and through, I thought I walked through the door.
When did I show up there?
But I feel like she was intimidated, not, she's not intimidated, she's intimidating, she's intimidating.
And not that I like necessarily really like her.
I just feel like she was needed to come in and stir the shit with Trevor.
And friend, like you said, the emotional cheating thing.
It's just cheating.
It's just cheating.
You cheated on her.
In no scenario is a guy going to be like, oh, yeah, no, it was just emotional cheating.
And the person on the other side of that conversation would be like, oh, okay.
All right, never mind.
All right, that's cool.
I could almost argue that like emotionally, emotional cheating could be worse.
Because like emotional, no, no, no, but listen, emotional cheating to me, like, if Trevor has spent months and months texting some girl being like, I love you so much, like, you know, if this has been going on forever and they had all these deep text messages where they were sharing their lives instead of like him getting drunk and like making out of the girl in a club and coming home and being like, you fucking made out with somebody in the club, like, both stink.
Both are awful and terrible, but like, I don't know.
I feel like the long-term texts with like another girl behind their back is like a little bit more backstabbing.
Either way, this conversation and Trevor makes me mad about situations that haven't even happened to me yet.
Like, I'm already mad at Hank for something he did not do because these are getting planted into my brain.
Like, I just, I can't take it.
I can't take cheaters emotionally, physically.
I think you're a pussy. Like just leave. Just leave the relationship. Like you said, he was too scared to leave. You don't want to be in a
relationship, be single. I really don't understand how hard it is for some people. It's mind-boggling, really. I mean,
I guess people don't have the willpower like I possess and like we all do. But it's just, it's incredible.
You just know that Trevor was like, how can I say that I cheated but try to make it sound like I didn't? And he thought of emotional
cheating and he was like that's it that's the ticket that's going to get me out of this when like fran said
it's just cheating it's just cheating like you still look like an ass either way there's no way around
that um so but but tread it worked trem would you say if you had to pick a side now emotionally
physically which one do you think is worse i will say the the scenario that fran laid out
makes me want to lean towards emotional but there is something about physical cheating yeah yeah that just
It just hurts way more.
The image is in your head.
Right.
Like, emotional cheating, you picture someone just like texting.
Like, that doesn't think that bad.
Physical cheating, it's like, holy shit.
Oh, my God, they're naked.
Yeah, that's not great.
That's very true.
They both are really, really shitty, and they both count as cheating.
And Trevor laid this all out to Jamie, and Jamie bought it all, I guess.
She's still in on Trevor.
She doesn't really seem like she's going to be ending that relationship or trying to talk to anybody else.
So we'll see how that goes.
I don't think it's going to go well.
And then we had a few other, we had a few other dates.
Chris and Bree went to a guitar center where they got to sit and play guitars.
I'm telling you, these dates are amazing.
They're amazing.
Go play the street corner.
All right, let's Google Maps the nearest guitar center
and we'll have them walk around in there
in a dark, closed guitar center.
That had to cost like $50.
And it was funny because they were like,
ooh, guitar center.
Yeah, they were like, look at these,
all these different kind of guitars.
I do feel like there is a certain level of fraudulence on this show.
Like, for instance, in the first episode when Jamie and Ryan
went to Capitol Records,
they walked in and there's these world famous like music producers and to Ryan's credit he knew but
Jamie was like oh these are just people these are people who I'm here to play for so I think these people
do love music and they want to become musicians but I'm not sure all of them are all that well versed
in like the music world that's super that's super fair I mean it's also like insane because they're
we're getting such different dates that is so funny like you said capital records recording with
a man who has produced John Mayer's music,
and then you sent Kristen Brie to guitar center
to have a sing conversation.
Like, they had a conversation,
but they were just singing.
I thought it was Hamilton.
It was very Hamilton-like.
Like, if that's all writing music is,
then anybody could do it.
I do it every day.
All I do around my house is I sing to Hank,
and he sings to me.
me and we talk like this constantly.
You're on the show.
Bam.
That was a date.
I made it.
That was a full date.
Do that in a guitar center and you're on the show.
Trent, spit something right now.
If I could sing, I wouldn't, but I can't, but it sounds like I am right now.
That's pretty good.
Du, do, do, do, do, do, Fran, drop something real quick.
Then you've got to change something.
You got to be like, and because then they started, it was like, well, you know,
as we're talking like it's got like musical theater like well Broadway I don't know how you're
feeling but I think I'm falling in love yeah I want my I just want my singing scrub from the record
that was really just a tough scene but whatever I mean that that's it's tough for them it's
tough for us we had to do it all they do I literally sang a song before about in my
apartment about pouring hot wax on a stripper's vagina the first time I went to the strip club.
And I was just singing about it. And it was fire. So it could be anything. It really could. And they
just did it about their feelings. And that, thankfully, Bree did not sing the story of her fiance
dumping her as she was buying her wedding dress because that would have been even more depressing
somehow. But what a story. I think I've got a DM from somebody saying they had something that that wasn't
true. Who knows. But I'm just going to go with it being true because that's what she's saying. And if that's the case,
like she had the dress in her hand and her fiancee was like, don't buy that. Imagine calling up your
fiance. Be like, honey, honey, I found it. We're doing it. And he's like, put it down.
Yeah, we are not getting married.
Right?
It's like when you're in the store as a kid with your mom and you're like so excited,
you grab something off the shelf and you run to her and your mom just like,
put that back right now.
I'm willing to believe it because it is like a crazy story and it's an interesting thing to hear
on a show like this, but there is no chance that those times actually matched up like that.
Like whoever, I don't know if you zip up the back of wedding dresses,
but like as soon as someone gets done zipping it up, your phone rings and it's like,
oh shit. Like that's almost too much like a movie. Yeah. Yeah. It probably
had liberties taken. Yeah. It probably, she probably found it, went home, told her, told her husband
or fiance, and he was like, don't get it. Because realistically, who's saying that
over the phone like that? Unless he really is a douchebag, then I guess he is. It's possible. But
Chris and Bree, they're on the fast track. They both said that they were like falling in love. It was
crazy.
Stunning.
That's never even happened on a regular Bachelor's show, I feel like.
It's been a couple days.
And both of them were like, this is it.
We're in love.
Yeah, I mean, they definitely have chemistry,
and they've been together since the beginning,
which is one episode, but like at no point...
One week.
Yeah.
I mean, we could kind of get the vibe that they were going to maybe hunker down
and be the couple that just kind of rides this thing out.
But I did not see them see...
sitting in a guitar center professing their love for one another.
That came out of nowhere.
No, definitely not.
And then, let's see, we had a bunch of other dates.
Mel, I'll mention this because it ties in with the other dates.
Mel somehow is, like, deeply in love with Brandon.
Last week, we saw Mel pick Gabe.
That meant nothing because I guess she's, she loves Brandon.
She's, like, crying over Brandon.
It's a whole thing.
The whole time she was crying over Brandon,
the only thought that I had was who is Brandon?
Who is Brandon?
Okay, Brandon was a big character on this week.
Like, everybody wants Brandon.
No, okay.
All right.
I know him now.
I definitely knew him by the end of the episode.
But when Mel was having a full-fledged meltdown
that Brandon was hanging out with someone else,
I couldn't picture Brandon in my head.
Julia wants Brandon.
Savannah wants Brandon.
Mel wanted Brandon.
But there is another date, two more dates.
Sheridan got a day card to Julia.
They went to IHeart Radio to Valentine in the morning,
and they got to do a very uncomfortable interview
where Sheridan said that he hasn't kissed anybody else,
but Julia's kiss for other people.
And then they sang the bones together, which was nice.
I actually did enjoy their duet.
See, I thought they sounded great too.
I thought.
Like that's going to kind of be my musical opinion this whole season.
Like they sounded really good.
I don't remember their performance.
Ria,
they were singing the bones.
It's not going to come back to me.
Okay, let me try.
There are many.
No, no, Fran, I'm telling you,
there are moments in this episode.
I was not thinking about this show and did not pay attention to it.
Yeah, okay.
That was, that was,
A moment. They sang the bones. Marron Morris and it's her song, but Hozier also does a duet
with Marin on the song. And I just feel like, I wonder what the song selection process is,
because I feel like maybe producers are like, here's the song you're singing practice. And
they just pick the bones because Sheridan kind of has like Hozier vibes, like sort of. And
they were like, this will work. I feel like you gave Sharron.
and like a little too much credit there.
No, not voice-wise,
but maybe like just long hair.
I have to be nicer about this show.
Like there's something coming over me
when we talk about this show
and I think it's my hatred for Trevor.
I think it just kind of goes on everybody.
It is.
It's polluting your entire opinion of the show.
Yeah, it is.
But that's okay.
Because he is like a pretty bad person.
Yeah.
But you could tell that you go ahead, Trent.
Well, I was going to.
to say my favorite the one thing that I did remember about this I heart radio thing was once sheridan and
um julia got done the radio DJ on the side was like yes he was this pump me like that was awesome
that was awesome yeah i love that he loved it loved the performance i need more of that enthusiasm in my
life that's the only thing i remember yeah so they they had this date which was it was a good date but
you can kind of tell that Julia is like on the fence about Sheridan and we saw that happen before the
Rose ceremony too.
Savannah also got a date card.
She took Brandon. They went to a jazz club.
They sang fever.
These two definitely have chemistry.
I can see that.
But their date other than that was fairly uneventful.
They went to a jazz club.
They went to a jazz club and they sang fever.
There's really nothing else more to discuss.
about said date.
And that, yeah, so that everybody comes back before the rose ceremony, everybody's making
moves.
Julia had told Sheridan that she still wants to be able to talk to other people.
And Sheridan seemed very sad.
Mel, I respect Mel, because Mel, she likes Brandon, she wants Brandon.
And she had a conversation and just fucking planted one on him.
and he didn't I mean he didn't pull back or anything like he did he kissed her but he she just
went for it went for it and also two other girls showed up at the house yeah you're right
that did happen that did happen mariana and mariana and ruby yeah i remember mariana because it's
just my last name but with an a at the end super easy to remember easy way to remember easy way to
remember a new person.
Are they going to have people dropping in all season or is that just going to be just I think that
might have been it.
That might be it.
I think that could potentially be the only time.
Who knows.
But Ruby came in.
Ruby also has colored hair, which was tough because Mel has purple hair and Ruby kind
has purple hair.
Pink purple was very similar.
So that was a hard way to tell who was who because you could just be like, oh, Mel's the
one with the purple hair, but now there's another one in the purple hair. But like I said,
Mel smacks put one on him, put one on Brandon. It should be noted. And this might be what's also
fueling Ria's anger is that Ryan was nowhere to be found during the whole Trevor and Jamie thing
early in the episode. He just wasn't around, which was very strange. He got so much play in
the first episode. And then we were an hour and 20 minutes in and he just hadn't appeared whatsoever.
Trent, you read my mind.
I was going to say that there wasn't nearly enough Ryan.
And then I tweeted that there wasn't nearly enough Ryan.
And Tyler quote tweeted me and wrote,
Fix This at ABC.
And then somebody put it up on their Instagram and mentioned Ryan.
And Ryan was like, not happy with me and Tyler.
He was like, settle down guys.
Everyone deserves love.
I was like, oh shit.
God, all right.
And I also like, why are you telling Tyler to settle down?
Like maybe you could tell me to settle down, but, you know.
That also made me kind of be like, all right, Ryan.
Like, come on, pal.
Yeah, you're not getting that much love.
Yeah, like you, and you're also on a reality TV show.
Like, don't, don't preach about how, like, we're all in this for love.
Like, come on.
Yeah, he was like, we all need love, y'all.
It's like, what?
Yeah.
I'm watching TV.
You're like an interesting character on the show.
I want to see for you.
Yeah.
Can I get a thank you?
Or do you want me to now boo you off the?
the show, Ryan, because watch, watch what you do instead.
I'm just kidding.
I'll say, carefully.
A week ago, I thought that Ryan was like it and I don't know.
You know, now you're threatening him with shunning off the nozzle.
Like we're turning the faucet up.
No more attention.
Well, he doesn't want it.
He clearly doesn't want to.
He doesn't want it.
It's true.
He told me and Tyler to settle down.
He did.
It's really very very.
Very funny.
So we'll finish off the episode.
Julia told,
Julia told Brandon that she had feelings for him still.
He was pretty floored.
He was like, oh, I totally wrote that off,
thought, you and Sheridan were a thing
and that he had been, his focus had gone to Savannah.
And Julia got a little, little catty.
She, like, called Savannah odd and was like,
I'm surprised you even like her.
which was, I like Julia a lot.
And I think she just had a moment of weakness there,
but it wasn't a good look.
Yeah, Julia, that moment for Julia was the moment I thought Savannah was going to have on this show.
But it turns out Julia is a little more catty.
But eventually, like, what it boiled down to was like, I'm here for myself.
Like, I don't want to worry about anybody else.
So I'm just going to kind of do me.
But yeah, that was an interesting moment from Julia.
Yeah, definitely was.
I'm just confused.
Obviously, Julia is confused as well, but I don't, the thing is, I like her with Sheridan,
but I don't necessarily blame her for wanting to play the field a little bit.
But she also has to see that, you know, Brandon, he's a hot commodity.
I don't really know if you could just swoop in at this time.
Right.
No, you're right.
Everybody wants Brandon, but I guess that shows that she's not like playing it safe.
She knows that Sheridan really likes her and she could have just rolled with that.
I also think Sheridan is maybe.
like not her usual type and Brandon's probably more like the guy she goes for and that's
that's tough for her um we did get so Brandon and Julia also kiss that's uh Brandon's kissing
everybody um and then Ryan got his air time for the episode and it basically was just two
really uncomfortable kisses Natasha was one of them where
she was like digging his nerdy vibe.
And the whole, the whole conversation,
I was just thinking like,
this woman will chew him up and spit him out.
Like, Ryan can not handle a woman like Natasha.
No.
All I can picture my head was like was him wading out into the ocean
and being like, I can handle this.
I'm still okay.
I'm still okay.
And then it's just going to pull him under at some point.
Yep.
He was like, he played it cool, I will say.
He was like, oh, yeah, no, I'm kind of nerdy.
You don't seem to be the type that's into me.
And then he got a kiss out of it.
It was a raunchy, awkward kiss, buddy.
She put her entire head in his mouth.
I'm noticing that Ryan goes for the all-in makeout every time.
And I respect it because, like I said, in the last season of The Bachelor,
we saw a lot of uncomfortable pecking.
Yeah.
And I feel like it's somewhere in the middle between the pecking
and the extreme makeout is where people lie.
Yeah, but I think these people know the inside of each other's mouths
way better than past seasons.
Like, they're really going in.
Natasha went in and then Rudy also was just like,
hey, let me make out with Ryan just to see if like anything's there.
And it was just like, whoosh, like they went 100 miles an hour.
It was like there was no easing into it.
Like, you got to ease into a makeout like that
when you're kissing someone for the first time.
And they just moving so fast.
cringing out of my body right now, thinking about just making out with people for the first time.
It's never, ever, ever, not awkward.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
Like, you couldn't tell if it was maybe Ryan who went really fast or Rudy who went really fast.
But if you're on the other side of that and like somebody goes in and all they're just,
your brain is just like, oh, God, no, they're just, why?
You're like, why are they moving so fast?
now I'm going to move so fast.
This whole kiss is awful.
I think it's...
It was tough to watch.
In this case, with Rudy and Ryan,
I think it's kind of Rudy.
Rudy's kind of like all over quick.
She is just like a little untethered sometimes.
And I like Rudy.
I think her and Matt,
I think they might be my favorite couple
on the show right now just because it's so strange.
And their chemistry is bordering on, like, fighting and kissing and laughing.
But I think she could have a tendency to go on a makeout.
It's a little like, let's go.
Oh, yeah, you're right.
I could definitely see that.
Rudy picked...
But Rudy and Matt, I am Rudy for.
Yeah, Rudy went back to Matt.
They had a conversation that was just...
It's just wild because Rudy goes through so many emotions so fast.
She's like...
Like, Rudy's like, oh my God, like, I kind of hate you, but ha-ha, I don't know.
Like, I love you.
Make out with me.
And you're like, whoa!
That was such a perfect representation of her.
That's every conversation she has.
Yeah, it's...
And it works.
Like, Matt just seems to be kind of...
of taken by the wildness, I would say.
Yeah, because they had the thing in the first week where there was like the miscommunication
about Matt taking her on the date as opposed to, I believe he took Mel.
And then they made up at the beginning of this episode, which I thought was nice.
And then it ended and they might be the strongest couple on the show.
Yeah.
It's those two, I'm ready for those two to like, I don't even know what.
I just can't tell where they're like singing could go or whatever.
but it'll be very interesting.
The rose ceremony, Chris and the men were giving out roses, so women were going home.
Chris gave his rose to Bree, Trevor to Jamie, Matt to Rudy.
Ryan picked Natasha, which I kind of thought Ryan and Mariana could have had something,
but she didn't seem to really break through anything.
So he picked Natasha.
Danny and Becca, like I said, Danny and Becca.
have gotten zero air time.
An absolute mystery couple.
Yes.
I keep forgetting you Danny and Becca are.
Exactly.
Brandon picked Savannah, not Julia.
Gabe picked Ruby.
Haven't really seen any of Gabe either.
Ruby was new.
And then Sheridan was last.
And it was pretty sad to watch
because obviously Sheridan likes Julia.
It would be weird if he picked
one of the other girls, but he knows that Julia, like, isn't really that into him anymore.
So he had to, like, go through the process of picking Julia.
And he picked Julia.
And then as soon as they got to everybody else, Brandon pulled her aside and was like,
we got a top later.
Yeah, that was, I didn't approve of that.
That was not good.
He, like, tried to do that in a way that he didn't want the cameras to, like, catch him.
And they very much caught it.
and it seemed a little scummy.
Definitely.
Yeah, I feel like it's awkward now
because Julia doesn't really want to be with Charited,
but Sheridan had to pick her
because who else was he going to pick?
He didn't really talk to anybody else.
But I think that Savannah and Brandon fit better than Julia and Brandon,
but now that Brandon is acting sketchy,
how is Savannah going to feel about that?
Yeah, you're right.
It'll be interesting to see,
Obviously, that meant three girls went home.
Mel and Cheyenne, who were on from the beginning, and new girl, Mariana.
So they're, see ya.
And who knows what happens next week?
I don't know if more people come in or now they're even.
So they just had these couples.
Maybe this is when we started to get into more of the singing situation, which I think
it is because it looked like they were like, the couples have their first onstage performance.
you had like Jojo telling them that they didn't have chemistry.
Yeah, I mean, this is a, it's a six-week show.
We got to get into the music thing at some point.
I mean, we're two weeks in.
And I think Chris Harrison, didn't he say, like, tomorrow, everything changes.
So I think, yeah, I think this might be the couples.
These might be the people that we're going forward with,
and it's going to get more musical as we go into the final weeks.
I just love that it seems like we're just going to get past bachelor and bachelorette people
to come in and judge these people on their singing.
What grounds do Jojo and Jordan have to judge these people on their musical talents?
Maybe it won't be musical.
Maybe it'll just be more like chemistry-wise, but it'll be funny.
It'll definitely be funny.
Oh, before we end, want to say that Ria tweeted at Mills, Robert Mills, and said,
Rob.
If you ever want to get, if you ever want to set up one of these dates,
you know, Sheridan and Julia went to the radio station,
you ever want to set up one of these dates where they come on chicks in the office,
you know, we're ready to go.
And he had a very firm response that that will happen in the future.
And he said the F word.
And I feel like he doesn't do that.
He said, mark my fucking words.
You know what, Rob, I am marking your fucking words.
I'm going to bring her down.
I am living.
proof that Robert Mills, you know, he made, what he promises, he delivers on, he said,
I could be the luggage guy. I was the luggage guy. So he's one for one with me. And if he did like,
yeah, like where they bring a date to chicks in the office reporting, that was one of the dates,
I would lose my mind. It would be incredible. It would be amazing. I would ask, we would ask the most
uncomfortable questions. I feel like they would tell us what to say, which is fine.
No, they would. You tell me what to do.
just put me on the damn show.
Anything.
Absolutely.
Yep.
That's very exciting.
Very exciting.
It would, hopefully, I mean, he said mark my word, so we'll see.
But, okay, Trent, thank you very much for joining us for our listen to your heart recap,
and we'll be back doing week three next week.
For our Thursday Feel Good segment, we have a couple stories we want to talk about,
some great things.
First off, Tom Holland, Spider-Man.
Peter Parker, really cute video.
He surprised Billy Kimmel,
Jimmy Kimmel's son for his birthday.
He was turning three.
Just the name Billy Kimmel.
Doesn't that make you laugh a little bit?
Well, Billy Kimmel,
Billy Kimmel should be like a 78-year-old man.
Yes.
It just sounds like a fake name.
Like, Billy Kimmel should not be three years old.
Billy Kimmel is a grown-ass man.
Yeah.
He has a full nine to five job.
Totally.
Totally.
But Billy is super, super cute.
He loved Spider-Man.
And Tom Holland was on Jimmy's show.
And after speaking with Tom, he said, oh, could you, you know, surprise my son?
He loves Spider-Man.
And, you know, he put on a little red mask and whatever and spoke to Bill.
And it was really cute because he's, I mean, he's turning three.
Like, he's still very small.
But you could just see on his face that he got, like, really excited.
excited and shy and Jimmy's older daughter who seems like a pisser.
Like she was like, that's Spider-Man so ready to fucking own the show.
And it was very cute.
And Tom's super sweet.
What I also love about this is Tom, like, I mean, this is really a stupid thought.
But he did the whole interview in his British accent, right?
Yeah.
And then, you know, he puts on it.
Spider-Man, Happy Birthday.
He's like, hey, happy birthday, Billy, it's me, Peter Parker.
Like, and his Peter Parker voice.
I'm like, wow, seamless.
He does that so well.
Well, yes, Fred, he is an actor.
Meanwhile, it's really just, yeah, that's just a skill I don't have.
Like, no, I mean, that's why you're not doing that.
Correct, correct.
But I just, I really enjoyed it.
And the video was really, really cute.
and it's just one of those very cute videos that you'll enjoy watching.
Number two, McDonald's is giving out free meals to health care workers.
Now, I know, obviously, people say McDonald's not the healthiest choice,
but sometimes you just want McDonald's.
It's healthy for me.
Sometimes you just want McDonald's.
So the McDonald's CEO announced that they will be doing thank you meals,
which are special happy meals to first responders,
healthcare workers, and police officers,
which is they already did it.
It's today.
I'm saying this like it's going to happen tomorrow.
But it started today.
For the next two weeks,
we're going to be thanking first responders and giving them a free meal at McDonald's.
The CEO said on a day show, breakfast, lunch or dinner,
come to McDonald's if you're a first responder,
show your ID or work badge or work.
whatever and we'll give you a free meal. We're going to put it in a happy meal box,
but instead of a toy, you won't get the trolls toy. You'll get a thank you note from us.
Well, maybe somebody would want the trolls toy. But I thought that, you know, that's very nice.
It's a nice gesture for McDonald's. Sometimes, and I could see it. If these people have a long
day at work, obviously it's crazy, crazy what's happening right now. And maybe they're just
craving a Mick chicken.
And you know what?
They'll get it for free.
Right, like we do.
So shout out to McDonald's for that.
Yeah.
Whatever happened to the difficulty,
the milkman, the paper boy,
Evening TV.
Did I get delivered here?
Somebody tell me, please.
This old world can feel me.
We are here with a very special guest, Bob Sagitt.
He has been on the show before.
We are very excited to have him back.
I got to say, it feels.
comforting having you in my home right now. I don't know if that sounds weird, but I feel comfortable.
I'm appreciative of that. And it's a pleasure of being your home near that poster of boner dogs.
Yes, for the people listening, Boner Dogs, if you listen to PMT, then you know what Boner Dogs is.
Hopefully, you know, listen, Adam Sandler, he said he would think about it. Maybe it will be a movie one day.
I don't know. It's a poster. It's bound to be a movie if it's a poster.
Right. They've already, first.
steps already done make the poster and attach actors names to it that don't know what it is and maybe
they'll just do it because they see their name on the poster. And you have the pocketbook over your
shoulder so that'll be a movie also. Exactly. It's just like the notebook, but it's the pocketbook.
Yes. Welcome. Welcome to our homes. Bob, it's been about like a one year since the last time you were on our
show. So it's been almost to the exact day one year. So it's crazy that we're here now doing this
from our homes. It's weird. It's weird, but it's wonderful. I mean, you know, I get to see a bed
behind you. This is really subjectively scary. It's not like a motel. You're at a family home.
Yes. Which is good. And I'm on a... Exactly. My man.
cave if that's what you want to call it.
I don't know.
I don't have a main cave, but this might,
my, what is this?
My, is that your layer?
Your, your, your den?
It's my, no, the den's over, this is a study.
This is, uh, this is, this is,
Fran.
This is, this is,
Bob has a big house, so he has multiple, probably,
a study, a den.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have seven bathrooms, which is really hard,
because I like to use all of them when I go.
Yeah.
Of course.
You don't want to leave one of them out.
No, it's a relay race.
How fast?
You asked us if we were with our boyfriends.
I live with my boyfriend, so we're in our apartment together.
That's going fine.
Fran is with her boyfriend at his house in Long Island,
and you said you're with your wife, obviously.
So how's that going?
It's been amazing.
And then I acted like a jerk a couple nights ago.
So then I, you know, a couple hours of apology.
and but we don't end up sleeping apart.
Some couples I know, like I was on the couch last night
or I went to another bedroom or whatever
or I slept in my trunk.
And I know we're good actually.
It's a good test this thing for,
I think a lot of people are going to get out of this
and getting split up or a lot of people are going to go,
oh my God, let's renew our vows or let's get married or let's have a baby
or something really cuckoo.
Right.
or great but no we're getting along good we figured out our what our duties are which i never thought
i would be that weird and have to outline okay i'll do the trash i'll do the laundry i'll do the cooking
and you do the and she does the cooking and and you cleaned up really and you know what's your
experience with that honestly um since my boyfriend
friend works at the same company and he does the same thing I do except he's the producer he produces
a podcast um the talent no big deal um but he just kidding but he um he understands like we understand
our schedules and like when we need to be working making content we can help each other out with that
and also i think just like knowing when to spend time together and then also spend time apart
because i feel like if you're spending every second together then you obviously are going to
want to kill each other.
But if you're just like, hey, I'm going to watch this show in there.
You watch your show in there.
It's all good.
Yeah.
And that's what we've been doing.
We were, but we're still binging together, which is good because you kind of stop talking.
Yeah.
You just sit there and watch things.
So everything's a good way to, it's a good way to do it.
I mean, I'm in a house, so it's nice because we do have that also.
We can, you know, go into separate rooms.
And during the day, we're working on different things.
but we started the Sopranos at the beginning of lockdown,
and now we're already at season five.
We just started season five.
But yeah, it's like, you know, you come back together at the end of the day,
and you're like, all right, let's watch a couple episodes,
and then we'll go to bed.
Right.
We did the pandemic viewing, which is Tiger King.
These shows are shows that that might have broken through no matter what,
but I think the pandemic really helped Tiger King.
and also Love is Blind, which I didn't want to watch.
I said, I'm not watching this is not my kind of show.
I couldn't stop.
My wife, Kelly, was freaked out.
She was like, what?
I said, I got to finish watching this.
How do you propose through a wall?
I mean, we look, Ria and I watched every episode as well.
Right.
And then I went, okay, I need something sophisticated.
So we've been binging the crown,
which is not about a dent.
It's about, you know.
It's actually the Queen, it's actually the Queen's 94th birthday today.
Wow.
Wow.
Yeah.
Happy birthday to the Queen.
Yeah.
94.
Bob, I don't know how into teen dramas you are or like murder.
I'm still murder.
Mystery.
Listen, I've been working this show into every conversation I have because I can't stop
thinking about it.
The show Outer Banks on Netflix.
Oh.
If you want to.
a binge, a teen drama, murder, has it all A-plus watched all 10 episodes in one day. I'm just saying.
And it's a reality show? No. It's a scripted show. Okay. So it's not like a, is it a lighter version of
euphoria? Kind of. But like, I mean, just it's, it's, it's in the outer banks. It's very, like,
more rustic, more beach town. Like, euphoria is like city and gritty. Yeah. It's beachy, but
there's also like, like I said, like murder involved.
And a treasure hunt.
Yeah, and a treasure hunt.
It's mixed with national treasure at the same time.
Yeah.
Awesome.
Okay.
I'll watch.
Think about it.
Think about it.
Who are the liars that you read a little memes on them that say,
I finished Netflix?
No, you didn't.
Yeah.
No, you didn't.
It's impossible.
If you made that meme, you're not smart enough to have finished Netflix.
Right.
Right.
There's absolutely no.
way. Entirely impossible, actually. Nobody could ever do it. No, it has to be the Matrix. It has to be a chip put in the back of the head. Oh, I got Matrix. I got, I got, you know, Netflix. Sorry, I'll be over here. Yeah. But one thing that I... Last time I saw you guys, I was like exhausted and bloated and I was sitting there like a sea turtle. I don't know what I was doing. But now I'm all ready. You know, I'm all in shape where things are going good, you know.
I had my legs amputated.
That's the advantage.
We don't have to see them exactly.
No, I'm sitting on a broomstick.
You're obviously doing this press tour right now for your new podcast,
which is clearly different than every press tour you've done in the past.
Do you prefer getting to just call in from your own home instead of actually traveling everywhere?
Well, as you guys know,
there's advantages and the disadvantage of the pandemic is it's a nightmare and that we're losing
people and then I have friends affected and do you guys have people affected? Do you know people?
Yeah. And it's just your heart just drops and you want to go help them. I have a daughter in
Brooklyn, a daughter in downtown New York and the one in downtown New York, she teaches yoga online,
she's just walking around. The other one, it's hard to move because I have the legs and want to broomstick.
I can move my upper butt. But, um,
But my other daughter is in Brooklyn, and people in Brooklyn are still partying at night.
And, you know, social distancing doesn't, they don't show that on the news because it's just, they're not.
And then, of course, Jacksonville is now open.
The beaches are, you know, which is like in jaws, it's like the mayor telling Roy Scheider, get those people in the ocean.
This is a tourist occasion, you know, this is our time.
And then everybody gets eaten.
Yep.
So I don't think that's going to happen.
it's just weird, but doing it from home for me, I mean, I've got here, I've got the board here.
You know, I've got, I've got like my podcast board and, and I'm very nice.
Very official.
Yeah, it's very, it's official.
That's it.
That's what I am.
I want to be official so bad.
But it's, what's great about it is I'm still getting to talk to people like care if I turned it on.
Hold on.
I'm recording.
That's great.
Oh, just put us on your show.
That's fine.
I want the chicks in the office on my podcast.
You would love to be on your podcast.
It's going to happen.
It's going to happen.
I mean, if you're okay, put it.
Of course.
Okay, done.
But it's weird because I wanted to do this before the end of the year.
I didn't want to do a podcast forever because every kid across the street's got one.
You know, everybody has one.
My UPS guys got one.
Yeah.
You know, the box.
I'm going to talk about male drama.
Oh my God, that is a dad joke.
I'm so proud of you.
I'm proud of myself, honestly.
That's so cool.
You didn't even know you were saying that, right?
No, honestly, I just thought about how my brother, like,
texted me once about how he wanted to create a podcast
about the drama at his gym.
And I was like, nobody cares.
Isn't it crazy when people go, oh, my God,
you've got to, we do a sitcom about where I work.
I'm an accountant, and it's really,
good and it's like, but so that's the office and then got to just have people talk about
spreadsheets or the hard drive. I don't know what the, how do you break the arc of that season?
But, but back to this whole thing. I want to do, I've been doing stand-up. I was ready to do,
I had a whole tour right now that would have been and I was going to do a special, my new special,
which is really different than anything I've ever done. It's still kind of something.
sometimes blueish, but it's more of a softer art.
It's more, I don't know, it has more feeling to it
because there's been so much division.
And I don't like math.
No, but there's been so many people that are just so angry,
and I'm sick of it, you know,
and I just got really tired of it.
So I was going on tour,
and then I was going to do a podcast
because I went, I want to do something that brings people together.
So I titled it, Bob Sagitt's here for you.
Isn't it horrible to say your name and the title?
you're yeah so i was confused i was like do i say it's called here for you or do i say it's called
bob sagg it's here for you now i understand like hey guys don't worry bob sagg it's here for you
exactly exactly the first episode is why i think i'm batman and i have a batman complex because i
try to help anybody i try to help my my core group you know my my family my my drug dealer
all my doctors.
Of course, same.
I don't have to have drugs that I can remember.
Did you celebrate 420?
It was yesterday.
Well, that was the launch of my thing.
So I did, but I'm not a pot guy because one, I just, I get neurotic during it.
But then they say, no, man, there's strains that are good for you.
I say, yeah, but they're called strains.
And there are pots named after me.
I don't think it's cool.
Pots named after you.
Pots, there's marijuana's named after me.
There's little plants all scattered.
They all have little.
They're all named Bob.
No, if you Google, there's Sagat, Sativa.
There's actual product.
And I get no merch.
Unbelievable.
I talked to Snoom about it.
And I was upset.
And he's like, well, it don't matter.
Everybody's happy.
You know, so he was.
But no, and I don't do edibles because that keeps me locked in syndrome,
because I'll eat a whole pie.
I don't, I'm hungry.
So, yeah.
How about you guys?
Is that a mood to you guys?
I, I partake, I would say, often.
Fran, not as much.
Not as much.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's just been something I've been doing since I was 15.
And it doesn't make me, doesn't make me feel anxious.
It makes me feel the opposite.
I feel calm.
I feel happy.
It also, like, this is crazy to people.
but when I smoke, I like want to go out.
I want to dance.
And people get the opposite reaction where they're like,
when they smoke, they want to sit on their couch and not do anything
where like I can go both ways with it.
Well, I'm like that from the past.
I mean, in my early 20s, I was for a few years, I was smoking all the time.
But I do something, I do it all the time.
So that's why it's good that I'm not.
Also, it's lung for me because, you know, I had asthma.
as a kid. That makes you real popular.
Walking around with your inhaler.
Oh, running the wrong way on the football team because you can't breathe, you know,
making a scoring for your, for the opposition.
That's the wrong team.
Right.
Seems like good memories are coming back for you, Bob.
It's really, thanks for bringing up pot.
But the 420 launch was fun.
doing three shows a week, right? For the first
two weeks, I'm doing Monday, Wednesday,
Friday. And
Friday is a special guest
that you guys would know.
And I can't say who it is.
His name is John.
And I know
I'm a really long time because
you know, we did a show together, but I can't
promote it or talk. Okay.
But we'll just have to take a guess.
We'll just have to take a guess on that of who that is.
Definitely not John Stamos.
Somebody with great hair and.
me. No, it's got
for sure somebody else.
Oh, well, that's coming up
also. So, I mean, I've
got, the show's interesting
because I've done something that happened
organically as soon as we started. We did
two episodes we could do in studio
at Studio 71 is doing it.
And then I couldn't do
it there anymore. It just happened.
And the head of the whole
division brings
the whole kit for me. That's how
crazy it got because we had to launch.
and I started recording and I started putting up a number on Instagram and Twitter
and it's in the menu where people can call.
You know, it's on a, what are we supposed to say is you can download for free at Apple
Podcasts?
Is that what you guys say?
Yes.
Yep.
And you can stream it on, stream on Spotify as well, I believe.
Yes.
I think Friday I hit Spotify in a big way.
And, you know, you have, everybody has an embargo.
But Apple has been good to me because I really love getting music on there.
Yeah.
I listen to it.
I love apples.
Yep.
So I ended up calling people.
I'd have them leave a message and then say, hey, between one and four tomorrow, I'm going to call people.
And they sit around waiting.
And I'm a block number so some people don't answer.
So it's really embarrassing when it just keeps ringing.
But I'm leaving it in the podcast because that's what you do.
and I don't want to end it.
I don't want it to be real.
But I called people, I called one guy last week,
and he was so stoned.
All he did was laugh the whole time.
And he told me how hard his life was
because he was from Iraq from seven years ago.
He moved to the United States
and how his parents did it to give him a better life
and their citizens and he was scared
there was going to be a war.
But he's laughing the entire time.
For 35 minutes, he's telling me this stuff.
And then I talked to like nurses that lost a patient and one woman said her son's autistic.
And I'm like, oh my God, where am I'm not going to find this is not a joke moment.
Right.
Then I'll be there.
I'll be there for them.
I mean, I'm trying just to listen.
I'm not a therapist, but I've had a lot of it.
And I'm not any of these fake TV doctors.
If I had a degree, I wouldn't be doing what they're doing coming up with a lot of, they're trying to help.
But it's not.
I don't know who to, we don't know who to believe.
I mean, right.
Look, right now, Fran looks like she's a prostitute.
She's being held captive.
And she's got the, Mike, and she's got the bed, and she'll go, hey, I'll record the whole thing.
Let's go, baby.
Just leave your money in the mailbox on the way out.
Listen, anything you can do to make a buck nowadays, right?
Hey, I would do it.
One time I did, I did, what did I do?
I sucked something for something.
I can't remember.
Oh, it's nothing.
Long time ago.
Pop movie I was a kid.
But so I called people and then other episodes I've got people like John Stamos,
John Mayer, Tiffany Haddish, McCulley Colkin, Howie Mandel.
And I've been talking to Howell and Bill Burr.
I was going to say, how is Howie handling all this right now?
Well, he's been OCD his whole life.
Yes.
He wrote a book about it and it gets, we go deep on it.
I mean, I think it was like a 90 in it, 90 in it, 90 in it minute, 90, piddcast.
It was a pit.
We did a piss pot together.
He didn't touch himself because he can't because he's got that thing.
But he was talking about his dilemmas in his life.
And I told him he's a pioneer that he's a prophet.
I mean, he's the one that started, you know, doing this when he touched people.
but that's still dangerous.
You can't do that.
You can't do this to your face after you do that.
Yeah.
No pounds.
No pounding.
Go over.
Test bumps are over.
Well, that's a guy thing pretty much.
Not always, but.
Well, it's kind of like, and I feel like people have been saying this to you all the time now,
like Danny Tanner was kind of the model for this, just obnoxiously cleaning at all times.
We are now all Danny Tanner.
That's what I, and I even post.
it and it kind of blew up
and winds up all over the news
that's because the world
is, you know, it's over so people
want to, that's the news.
Yep. Bob, they got nothing else to talk about.
Sorry.
The big story is Bob Sagin admits he's Danny Tanner.
The whole cast
we did that video that went
I can't say viral.
You can't say it went viral.
It went bacteria.
Wow. Wow.
Yeah. I've never even
thought about that now.
Yeah.
Of course, Danny Tanner would think of that.
I wouldn't.
It spread.
That even sounds dangerous.
No.
Yeah.
It went bacterial
because you can cure it.
But Stamos,
it was Jeff Franklin's idea
who created the show,
and then he had the whole cast.
It was the funny part
was the text trail.
And then I made a video.
We redid the credits with John.
You guys have like a big group chat.
You all discussed these things in?
Oh, we do it all the time.
Yeah.
Dave has some book you wanted to promote long group chat.
It's just, I don't know a lot of people are doing this.
I know other people from cast of shows that have been, you know,
John Krasinski's been doing some amazing stuff with different people from the office.
I mean, he's been amazing during this thing.
That thing he did with the Hamilton cast was like, just made you feel, you know.
We have been talking about his show has been great.
Yeah, and he did it because he wanted to.
And my podcast is like, it's the same thing.
I've never been, it just, I have to do output.
I'm a working person, but I have, I want to make people feel better,
which sounds really weird because I'm not a licensed masseuse.
But this is a, it's a nice thing to do.
I had my daughter.
She called me and I just said, can I put you on the podcast?
And she went, okay.
And we just talked about how life in New York is for her.
And I'm sure.
Right.
It's the same.
Ria, you're in New York proper, right?
Yeah, I'm in New York City right now.
I'm downtown, like, Phi Dye, Tribeca area.
And, I mean, I don't, I have a balcony, so I'll just go out there, but I try not to
go on the streets at all.
I'm honestly terrified.
Like, I really don't even want to go to the store.
And even if they lift it all and they say, hey, stage one, stage two, I don't care.
I'm not going out there.
And I might be able to get the test that tells you if you've had it already.
But then you watch Chris Cuomo and he tells you he had it and he just got tested and he's still positive.
So at least positive, negative, so wrong.
It's really crazy how it's affecting so many people so differently.
I know two of my friends have it and my cousin had it.
And my cousin came back positive and now she's negative.
And it was like, boom, you know what I mean?
Quick.
She was sick for like a week.
Now it's over.
And the test came back negative this time around.
So it's really mind-boggling how it's affecting so many different people where it's like,
okay, this person was positive.
And then when you check them again, they're supposed to be like negative, but yet they're still positive.
They don't know what's going on.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's the scary part.
And I don't even think, I think right now we're in pandemic 2.0.
because one day it'll be like Cloverfield, you know.
Oh, God.
Yeah, that's terrifying.
What a great reference, though.
I have Cloverfield is a movie that my,
actually my dad watched all the time.
It's actually a great movie.
And it really started the whole thing
with his amazing career.
Yeah.
They even made a sequel with John Goodman, Cloverfield Lane.
Yep, yep.
There was good.
I mean, it was something about it.
There's something out there.
But I mean, yeah, I thought it was germ warfare first.
I just thought somebody attacked us.
And then people try to soothe a lot of people that are famous, try to sue.
And you did the Imagine video.
And a lot of people I know were angry that they weren't in it.
So they tracked it.
And then like my friend Jim Norton, a comedian, has Jim been on your show?
He has not.
No.
Jim, Jim said that video really choked me up
because after I saw it, I hung myself.
So I was going to ask what you actually thought about that video
because obviously when we saw it,
we thought it was brutal, and our company made like a parody of it.
I don't know if you saw that, but we all like, yeah, just...
I'm a huge bar school fan across the board.
When you run funny video, I just have to check something
because supposedly I'm supposed to talk to your compadres
that I don't want to, but I have to.
Which ones?
AFC.
Yeah, well, they can wait five minutes.
What are they at 1, 1 p.m.?
They don't have any life.
No, no.
Kevin doesn't have any kids to watch after right now.
No, good for them.
But good for the kids.
Yeah, I think it came from sincerity
and for people that genuinely care.
And it doesn't really matter when anybody thinks
It's just, you know, everybody wants to bash.
I just hate the word celebrity to begin with.
People go, oh, we got celebrities.
It's like, what are they going to cut the ribbon at the market?
You know, are you an actor?
Are you a writer?
Are you a artist?
Or what are you?
You're famous.
Okay.
So you're a celebrity.
I just feel like I'm not, that's the C word to me.
I just would rather be, oh, he's a comedian.
He's an actor.
He's a director.
So I've been working more now than I've got a movie where,
developing right now that people would be very excited about. I can't announce it, but if you'll
have me back when we, I'll probably be in person by the time the damn thing gets done.
Amazing. Yeah. I can't wait. I can't wait to be able to, we can't wait to be able to get back
to normal, but it's never, I don't think it's ever going to be normal. I know. We've had that
conversation a bunch too, that this is just something that will truly just change the course of
of everyone's lives.
Like I don't think anybody will really go back to living the way they did.
I know myself, like out in New York City in a bar, whatnot, my brain, like, I'm always going
to go to like, oh, God, what am I, what am I touching?
Like, did I touch other people?
And, and I just think that's going to be stuck with us for a very long time.
Well, you know, I know people.
I mean, my wife's like that.
She, she, we get in an airplane when we have.
She'll take wipes and wipe everything,
disinfect everything, because now they're doing it professionally.
They're coming in and doing what they should have been doing.
Because you can just catch a cold just by holding the bathroom door in the airplane.
But I have a friend George Wallace.
He's a comedian.
He's been around for a long time.
And he tweeted that he was upset because now he's going to lose all the great bat recipes that he had.
You could grill them.
You could deep fries.
And he names all the different ways to prepare them.
And then he goes, and whatnot.
And that made me laugh.
Oh, it's so true.
It's just a real tough time.
It's even more division.
People don't believe that.
It's real.
But, Bob, I do want to say that obviously people are staying occupied
during this time, and a lot of people have turned to TikTok for that.
And I was on TikTok, and I was scrolling my for you page.
And there's your wife and she's doing her famous relative check.
And it turns to you and you got, I don't remember being like a hot tub or something.
It was, I was like, wow, that was the last person I expected to see on TikTok right now.
I've been enjoying it.
I see Maria on there doing stuff.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you, Bob.
Wow.
Honestly, the fact that you noticed that makes me feel amazing.
I'm.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Honestly, people have been hitting on it.
But the fact that Bob just said that he watches it,
I'm going to keep going.
You're working, dancing.
When I go to dance, it's like,
Harry Mandel looks like the best dancer in the world compared to me on it.
But I do stuff on there.
I actually did a thing for the ALS challenge where you want to shave your head.
And I just the last thing that was posted, my wife posted,
and I was cutting her hair.
And I did it on an angle.
It was real.
I cut like four inches off.
And she said I cut six inches.
So the punchline is I'm glad she thinks four inches is six inches.
but
wonderful joke
yeah it's the best ever
you can never get tired of those jokes
I can't wait to get help again
so I can do nothing but those jokes
exactly
oh man well you're going to keep
making TikToks I hope
yeah I like it
I got a million people so somebody said
oh you should announce that it's like
no I'm men of a certain age at this point
even though I feel 35
but I can't help that
but yeah, I'm not going to announce.
Woohoo.
I hit this bomb.
You know.
Well, you announced it here.
So there you go.
That's your announcement.
Oh, I did it.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
So upset.
Yep.
The Bob Sagg, it's official TikTok.
Yeah, right.
But the thing I'm doing is what you're doing.
You're trying to make people feel better.
You're doing it and you're going, wow, this is kind of a downer.
But it gives you something to look forward to, but also people are loving that you're
doing it. So that's kind of where I'm coming from with this thing. I'm trying to be funny.
I'm not trying. You are funny. I think so. I mean, that's one of the few things I'm really
secure in. But as you should be. Right. I mean, I've done it long enough. Some people don't
dig it. They're like, or some haters are rate. I've never looked. I don't like to look at that.
But now it's different when I got a podcast. They'll say something negative. But you know they
haven't seen it. They just want to go hate. And then they write FXQM, G, LK.
they have a seizure as they're hating you yes it's just the internet like if you think about it before
the internet was around like who you weren't getting reviews all the time from people you were
never supposed to have access to this many people giving their opinion i just got bad reviews
from you know 50 year old men that hated full house and the video show and there was no there was no
There was no YouTube when I did the video show.
So I'm like, I don't like thinking how old I am.
It's like really weird.
I was your outlet for crotch hits or.
And Barstool, nothing but crotch hits.
It's constant.
And I'm so hooked on Stool Presente on Dave's pizza,
frozen pizza.
I mean, it's insane.
It's so funny.
And his goal committed suicide and cut his thumb open.
It's like, I mean, he's a purist in this medium,
which is going to be,
there's a whole new world coming.
Yeah.
He makes a whole lot out of nothing,
and it's quite impressive.
It's really funny.
It's like if Michael Rappaport
only cared about pizza
and didn't talk politics,
you know,
but Michael rambles in the same angry way,
but Dave's really angry,
and he's got nothing to boxes.
We booed Michael Rappaport
because Michael Rappaport was not nice to us.
Oh, that's not right.
right?
Michael was a barstool employee.
He was a barstool employee.
And then we had to fire him.
I never knew that.
I've always liked Michael.
He's a really good actor.
And he's got a niche for what he does,
but it definitely is one place.
Yeah,
it was Dave and Michael under one roof
seemed like a good idea,
but in actuality it was not.
Right.
Which is fair.
Well, you could see them having a similar kind of,
New York kind of, I'm angry type of thing.
But Dave is, Dave's really good at this.
And he's really good at this.
Thank you, Bob.
And, oh, I think the podcast is almost two years.
Almost two years in July.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then the just chicks in the often in general, I think, is almost three years now.
But, yeah, it feels crazy.
It's two years.
It feels like it was way sooner than that.
but damn yeah um product you put out it's good thank you bob well thank you bob and uh where can
you let everyone know to check out your podcasts and everything you're doing right now yeah right

time and we don't know what it is now so that's the same as our schedule so everyone who's listening
you know you can listen to chicks in the office on mondays and thursdays and then make sure to listen
to bob saggots here for you on the same days back to back yeah i think it's just to you guys first
They should prioritize you guys
And then if they need more content
Or flip over to the weird
It's not like I'm giving out dad advice
You know, I'm just being me
And that's what you guys do
Which is really unusual to be
To have that ability
And not be obnoxious
Because a lot of-
And I like that people can call you
So if anybody, all our listeners
If you want to talk to Bob
There's a phone number and you can call
And you can be on his show
Having a nice conversation with him
And I'll call them
Sometimes people have to wait around, but right now it's perfect because they are.
Yeah, exactly.
What else do you have to do besides call Bob guys and get a good laughing?
They might have to clean a toilet, but that's about it.
That's it.
Anybody of my listeners, they're not cleaning toilets.
Probably not ours either, to be honest.
Well, thank you guys.
Thanks, Bob.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, Rob.
And take care of everything, and I'll see it.
Next time I see it, it's going to be in person.
In person, definitely.
So that'll be really, really fun.
All right. Thanks, Bob.
Stay safe.
We'll talk to you soon.
Okay.
Thanks.
All right.
That wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office.
We thank you guys for listening.
We hope that we keep entertaining you during these hard times.
Once again, we thank you guys every single show.
Thank you to the essential workers out there that are still going to work for us.
And the next time you hear us, you will also be listening to Madeline and Chase from Outer Banks.
Get excited, people.
Get excited.
We are stoked.
Get it.
Chase, stoked, stoked,
okay, I'll see myself out.
All right, bye, everyone.
In my mind, I'm going to see the sunshine.
Can you just feel the moon shining?
Maybe just like a friend of mine to hit me from behind.
Yes, I'm gone to Carolina, and she's a silver sun.
Your best walk her away and watch her shining.
watch the morning come
A silver tea
No doubt
You love to find the finest thing
Can you see the sunshine
Can't you just feel the moon shine
A-nege is like a friend of mine behind
Dark and silent date last night
I think I might have heard
The highway call
A decent flight
And dogs it bite
The signs it might be old
Say I'm going
I'm going
I'm gone to Carolina
Standing around
The dark side of
And it seems like it goes
On like this forever
You must forgive me
If I'm up and gone to Carolina
Can't you see the sunshine
Can't you just feel the moonshine
Ain't ages like a friend
From behind?
Because I'm going
