Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.

This is state of emergency.
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Friend, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday.
Today's Thursday, a lovely Thursday afternoon.
The weather is really lovely outside.
It's like a weatherman there.
It sounds like we're the 4 o'clock.
news. That's what I was going for
because, you know, I hate talking about the weather
but the weather beautiful today. It's in the
60s. Yeah, we just, it's just one
it's a tease though. One day.
It's going to drop back down. It is a little tease.
This week went by very fast, though.
You're going to go for a run. Because in the
winter I like don't run because I don't have
a gym membership or anything. Yeah. And
it's too cold. In the summer do you run a lot? I try
to, yeah. And that's why like where I live now, I'm like
near Central Park. So just go over to Central
Park, run to Central Park. That's beautiful
I don't think I knew that.
You didn't know that I run?
Yeah.
Like,
I started running occasionally.
No, yes.
That's the only form of exercise I've ever done.
No, no, no, no, I knew that you did.
I didn't know that it was like, I thought it was the every once in a while.
No, for a while, like, I was running like every day in Central Park.
Huh.
Yeah.
Good for you.
That is nice.
That is beautiful.
I, for one, cannot get myself to run.
But let's get this out of the way.
Let's get this out of the way.
I can't.
I can't see either.
You're running.
No, I can't.
No, I can't.
No, I've seen you run.
Like I physically can't.
I have extremely flat feet.
If I start running, if I don't have my orthotics.
Don't they make shoes for that probably?
Yeah, they're heinous shoes.
They used to call me Forrest Gump in high school.
Because of the way you run.
Yes.
Oh, boy.
You know, because when he's running.
Yeah, I know.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
It's not great.
No, I playing basketball in high school, I like got tendonitis in both my feet at the same
I don't think I played basketball.
Yeah, because of how flat my feet are.
It was awful.
I was in like a walking boot and on my crutches.
Oh, God.
It was terrible.
Just from walking.
No, from running, like from playing basketball, it's like, you know, it's a lot of,
a lot of heavy work for your feet.
You had crutches?
For a little bit, yeah.
That's sick.
So my, my best friend growing up.
I also did when I fell off my horse one time.
Yeah.
I didn't mean to laugh at that.
It's just, I fell off my horse.
It's just so classy of you.
you walked around with crutches because you had tendonitis.
Same thing happened with my best friend because of her flat foot,
she had to wear crutches.
I really wanted crutches as a kid so bad that I went into my room one day
felt like I wasn't getting enough attention.
Did I talk about this recently or did I just tell somebody this?
No, no, no, I don't know.
Okay.
I've done heard this.
I must have just told somebody like in my life about this recently that I felt like I wasn't
getting enough attention like at home because this is more so when I was younger.
my sister and my brother like before I started doing acting and modeling I was really like the forgotten
child like my sister and brother played so many sports like we went to Cooperstown from my brother for
baseballs baseball every day my sister played softball volleyball basketball basketball every sport that
you can imagine cheerleading yeah I was just dragged around to every single sporting event
that you can imagine before I became the golden ticket and one day I thought that I wasn't getting enough
attention and I went into my room and I tried to break my ankle with a glass like cross thing that I had
in my room. I did the same thing in like a different way. It wasn't really to get attention. It was just I thought
for the longest time it was cool to have crutches or like correct cast. I think everybody yeah.
You know what I did? I put my fingers under my bed, picked my bed up and dropped it on my hand.
To try to like just hurt my finger like a little bit so that I could get one of those uh. Finger castes.
Yeah. No, not people signed it just I thought it looked at.
No, I thought it was sick.
People got like those hot pink ass
And then they get people to sign it
I thought my neighbors got hurt all the time
And they had those and I was like, fuck
And I also thought crutches were cool
Crutches were great because
Like you'd see someone on crutches
And you'd be like shit
I wish I had someone to carry my books for me
It was more so like you always
Like someone was assigned to help you
In school
You bought to carry my books for me
Yes
And however after about a week
It got old real fast
That shit sucks
People had to cater to you
Which is why I wanted to break my ankles
so that my family would cater to me and care about.
I think in high school, being injured is cool.
Like, I think, I think high school, middle school and high school being injured is like,
you want to be injured.
Yeah.
If it's not too bad, if you don't have to, like, get surgery or something.
My horseback riding was, horseback riding was middle school.
And that was, that was, like, I had crutches and, like, I sprayed my ankle.
I was on crutches and, like, had, like, a little ankle brace thing on.
Like, it wasn't serious.
Like, there's nothing, no hard cast.
It was, like, two weeks.
I had to be on crutches.
Right.
That's the ideal.
But one, yeah, one week, one week it was like, and everybody's, oh, my God, are you okay?
Like, what happened?
Yeah.
And then after one week, it was like this, you had to go up and down stairs.
Right.
It started to get really fucking annoying.
Your armpits hurt.
That's why I, like I said, I tried to break my ankle.
I was like, beating the shit out of it.
Didn't work clearly.
It just ended up with some bruises.
And then eventually.
Both of you.
I know, psychotic.
I remember like it was yesterday.
Drop his bed on his hands.
I am picturing myself sitting on my bed
with I had a glass cross
in my room and I took this glass
cross and was just beating my ankle.
Like a cross? Like a cross?
Like a Catholic cross.
Like a Catholic cross. It was glass.
Oh, that's kind of. I know. I don't...
It was the only thing in my room that I thought was hard.
And the crazy thing is that like... It was glass? What have you shattered
it on your leg?
Fran, I...
Attention would have been given.
But I'm just had glass shards
come like all over you.
Like, I don't remember.
remember what my lie was going to be, but obviously I couldn't tell people if they're like what
happened. I would be like, oh, I'd drop my bed on my head. I accidentally dropped my bed on my hands.
I would have had to made up like, oh, I was playing sports. I wanted. I wanted to hurt my ankle so bad. It's all I wanted.
You could have come up with something for the bed. You could have said like I dropped, like I was trying to find something under my bed. No, no, it would have been like way cooler.
Yeah, I would have come up with a cool lie. Yeah, I, a cool lie. I ended up with the attention that I ordered eventually in life.
And then I couldn't get hurt.
Then I had to do everything to avoid hurting myself.
I also wanted to break my nose.
And I would wear, I wanted a new nose when I was younger.
I eventually grew into it.
People think I got a nose job.
Not really.
People still make fun of my nose.
But my nose was like too big for my face at some point.
Yeah, yeah.
And I wanted a nose job.
So I'd always be like, it would be pretty sick if I could break my nose and then just
end up a nose job.
It's all fun in games until you get injured and it actually really fucking hurts.
Yeah, that's the part that's,
Not exciting.
The tendonitis was actually the most painful thing ever.
That's such a grandma injury.
It hurt so bad.
Like, I couldn't even, could not go anywhere.
It really sucked.
After that happened, that was like, okay, I really don't want.
And it's fucked up of us to be wanting an injury.
Yeah.
When someone like you had to deal with an injury like that.
Yeah.
Not nice.
It was not cool.
Not cool at all.
It's not a cool injury.
Programming note, let's get it out of the way.
We're not going to have a show on Monday.
And I know what people are going to say.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. They're like, oh my God, you guys, you can never keep the schedule.
We're off.
It's a holiday.
It's a holiday weekend.
We take presents very seriously here.
In this office, it's a holiday.
The office is closed.
You know.
We have three episodes still next week.
Yeah, we do. We still got three episodes next week.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, you'll be hearing from us.
Yep.
So it's just Monday.
You guys won't be hearing from us.
And we apologize.
but no cutting stems no cutting stems either and we apologize but we are still coming to you three times
in solidarity with trent yes that's why there's no cunning yeah it is it is funny like that this is i guess
going to be trent's episode but we don't have like trend's not going to be here anyway like even if we
were even if actually worked out cutting sems he wasn't going to be here because he's traveling for a golf
thing yeah so like even if we did do an episode it just would have been the three of us talking about
trying without trying to actually being there. Exactly. So it's better to stand in solidarity. And Fran
and I are going to Florida because both of our parents are Floridians in the winter.
Family visit. And so we're doing a family visit both of us. And we're going to have a big family
barbecue at Fran's house. Yeah. That sounds nice. We're going to do our job from. Nano might meet me.
We're going to do a job from home. Yeah. I know. All my, all my grandparents are down there.
I really don't ever get to see them that often. So I do like when I can to get down there. And when
we're both in the same area at the same time, we can, you know, record together from a location.
My parents have been bag.
My parents left like last week, maybe the week before.
It's only been maybe a week and a half since I've seen them.
Yeah.
But ever since I moved back home, we've all just become very close.
Like, I've always been close with my family.
It's just even closer, whatever, talk to them a million times a day.
And they're like, you got to come.
Please come.
No, I, for a little bit, actually.
parents aren't used to not seeing you for a while.
My parents are the same way.
Like I would see them all the time.
And then once they started spending like long months on end somewhere else, they're like,
we miss you.
So my parents wanted to take Norma to Florida, right?
So this was a whole thing.
My parents, I've talked about this.
Norman is treated like an absolute king in my household.
Everyone's obsessed with him.
The house revolves around him.
I even thought about how funny a sitcom would be like, Norm.
Like, you know, because everyone's always like, norm.
Everyone's always like yelling at him.
but like it's funny.
Right, it's Norman's house.
So, Norman, Norman, Norman in the house.
Yeah, it's a party every weekend, Norman.
Everything revolves around Norman.
Everybody loves Norman.
Everybody loves Norman.
And it's like, and then you do like the shucks like,
Norm when he gets in the trash.
Oh, Norman.
Did you get into the food again?
And then you boop him on the nose.
You're like, boop.
Here's a treat.
Anyways, my parents wanted to take Norman of Florida
because like I said,
they're obsessed with him.
Yep.
I have a very strange.
My dad even offered to take Norman.
I have a very strange work schedule, but when I'm, because I was living at home and
like with work and everything, it just worked, my parents don't work anymore.
They're both retired at a very young age.
Good for them.
And so they, they were always around.
They're always home.
Somebody is always with Norman.
But my sister and brother also live in my house too.
And my sister's husband and my brother's girlfriend.
So like, fiancee.
Oh, my brother's fiance.
They all live in the house.
Yeah.
So Norman always has somebody, which is just funny to think of it.
Maybe you do need a reality show.
The more I'm talking this out loud.
But everyone still lives in the house still.
So even with like a crazy work schedule, some days, whatever, he always has somebody.
But my parents were like, oh, like, we're really going to miss him.
And it would be my dad wanted to, like, restart Norman's Instagram in Florida.
Like he, like as a hobby.
Yeah.
He was like, he's, like, obsessed with.
He'd be so good at it.
No, I know.
Because he's obsessed with, um, Wiener Dog.
reels on Instagram.
Yeah.
Like all of his reels are just wiener dogs.
Yeah.
And so he shows them to me all the time.
Yeah.
He already has the start.
Like he already has the 10K.
He's more than 10K.
It's like almost 20K.
So he's like, he's been watching these reels and he's like, I think it'd be really
funny in Florida.
Like Norman like around the backyard around the other animals.
Like it could be good, good hobby for him.
Right.
Like Norman meets a lizard.
Yes.
Yes.
Yeah.
So I was like, yeah.
Like that would also help me out to like we, just so we know that he's okay.
whatever so my parents were going to take norm to florida but they were like we're going to go to
florida you got to get him down there yeah like we're not going to be the once again down there we
will welcome him with open arms but you got to get him down yeah and i was like okay no problem i was like
i'll just fly with him norm is norm is chunk norm's high key thick i think norm is long norm's highkey
thick i think norm is thick with a bunch of seats could be approaching like the overweight wiener
dogs he's he's 25 pounds yeah um he's not he's not he's he's not he's he's he's not he's he's
He's actually not a mini we needy.
He's not.
Yeah, he's not. We got the DNA thing.
Yeah, he's actually just regular.
Yeah.
He's not a mini one, but he's 25 pounds, maybe more at this point.
Yeah.
Because my mom, spoiled rotten.
Fed him ice cream every single night.
Oh, my God.
For, I don't even know how many weeks.
Oh, my God.
Like, no, yeah, because dogs can eat ice cream.
Just plain vanilla ice cream.
Multiple times a day, every single day for weeks, right?
Tons of treats.
Like, this dog is packing on the LBs.
He packed on the LBs.
Norman cannot fit in the carry-on that you take on the plane.
No, he's too big. He just doesn't fit.
He's also too long.
Yeah, too, way too long.
But it's more of the thickness.
You have to get like a special size carrier for long dogs.
They have the dimensions that are allowed to go on the plane.
JetBlue sucks because it can't be more than 18 pounds.
I was like, we're fucked there.
He's 25 pounds.
Delta, it's like he could be whatever weight, but it has to fit into a certain case.
You should like do what fighters do where they just like cut weight right before.
Yeah.
Well, my sister literally, well, since they left, my sister's like, I haven't been giving him treats, like, whatever, because we're trying to cut down his weight, but he still doesn't fit.
So my sister and I were like, all right, let's drive to Florida.
That'll be fun.
I'll film it anyway.
Like I'll do a vlog, road trip, whatever.
It'll be fun.
And then my parents called me and they were like, we hate to break this to you.
They were like, Nano says no.
Does not want that dog here.
Says no.
He's being.
Nano has laid down the law.
And Nono lives in the house.
and he's like he doesn't want the dog at all
and my parents are upset because they're like we miss him so much
like they're like we want him here so bad
and my mom was like if he if Nano wasn't here we'd have him
and they were like but he's already complaining telling us
we're not allowed to leave the house like he's acting my mom's 15 again
like giving her all these rules if Norman's going to be there
and I do feel bad for my parents because
they haven't had like a long time vacation
whatever they're planning on like traveling like
different places in Florida on the weekends and like
whatever and I was like you know what
if it's going to be a problem they they were still
like you could try to bring him and see what happens and I was like no no
let's just keep him in New York I want you guys to enjoy your time
like I don't want to stress you guys have Nano yelling at you guys like that's not fun
for you whatever it's my responsibility anyway
like we all we all do our part
um
where is I going with this
Nonna says no dog oh yeah so no so Nano says no dog
my parents call me yesterday and they're like
we were thinking about flying home
for a couple days just to see Norm.
I was like, no, no, no, no, no.
Said no, no, no, no, no.
Oh my God.
This isn't happening.
Yeah, yeah.
If you guys are coming home to see this dog stay home.
Yeah.
Like, that's it.
Like, that is it.
I said, if you miss him.
Either that or take the dog with you.
Right.
I said, you guys can't do this.
You can't fly home for a couple days
to see the dog.
Not even to see you.
Yeah, no.
They were like, they literally said,
they were like,
we've been talking about like how much we miss him
and like we're thinking about flying.
I said no, you stay there.
Yeah.
Now me and my sister have been guilt-trapping now.
We're like, if you want the dog that badly, come and get them.
Stand up to, or stay there.
Stand up to Dad.
Yeah, stand up to Jayekino a little bit.
And then I said to my dad, I was like, well, why don't you guys?
Because usually they stay until, like, they go from February to like June.
I was like, if you miss him that much, just come home in May.
Yeah, yeah.
It's warm here in May, whatever.
My dad's like, I know.
I think we gotta.
He's like, I think we got to.
I was like, this is getting to a point.
where it's like, you guys, like,
someone's got to stand up to you the old man.
Yeah, right?
Yeah.
It is what it is, though.
Norman's so fucking cute anyway.
And I think it's, he's actually like,
you can tell the first couple of days they were gone.
He was on edge a little bit.
Any time he heard a car or like a slam up a door,
he popped up, you out there were coming home.
Now, it's like he sleeps until whatever time I wake up, right?
Like 9, 10 a.m. sometimes.
He sleep.
My parents had him on a schedule where he was going to be.
bed at 8 p.m. and waking up at 7.30. I think this dog is catching up on sleep because he's going
to bed at 8 p.m. still waking up at like 9, 10 o'clock in the morning. I take him out, take him for a
walk. What does he do right when we get back? Goes to sleep on the couch for the entire day.
I was like, they've been working this dog to the bone. Yeah. He's catching up on some sleep or he's
depressed. He could be. He misses, he misses them. He does. And they miss him too. That's how you
guilt trip your parents. I send them pictures all the time.
He should be like he seems really sad. Can I tell you another reason why I haven't really sad that
you guys are here and he can't believe that you wouldn't fight for him. Right? Probably is. No,
no. I think yeah, I think he has my personality. Truly it's me. But another reason why I haven't
posted pictures of Norman on my Instagram, I have a bunch, right? Lately. There was a comment about
his weight on YouTube. And my whole family was upset. No joke. My mom cried.
Oh, no. Like, she was like, like, someone commented about Norman's weight because he was in the most
recent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And my mom, like, teared up. Like, she's never even teared up
about a comment about me, but she was like, they're commenting about Norman's weight.
Well, because I feel like she feels direct responsibility for that. I'll show you a picture right now,
Fran. You're going to be like, you know what I'm saying? Like, she's probably like, oh, shoot,
did I do that? Look at, look at this.
Oh no.
I mean, I haven't seen him in a while.
I haven't seen him in a while.
Yeah, I mean, he's chunked.
He's chunky.
Yeah, turn it around.
But it's, it's, he's chunk.
It's just tough because with the, with the dachshunds, you know, like their heads stay so small.
He's so small.
And then their bodies just get so big.
No, his butt is, he's got a dumper.
Yeah, he's got a fatty dumpy on it.
Oh, Normie.
He can cut it.
I believe in him.
Oh, man.
He's so fucking.
But that's why.
Wait, look at how long he is too.
That's why Florida would be even better for him, though.
I know.
We were like he's getting so much exercise.
He cuts down a lot of weight in the sun.
This past summer, he cut down so much weight.
Yeah.
What's it?
My dogs, oh my God.
My dogs get way skinnier when they're in Florida.
Yeah.
It would have been good, but.
And the Instagram would have came back.
Instagram would have popped off.
And people would have been really excited about that.
I would have loved to see the caption.
I would love to see the captions that your dad would write.
I know.
You can learn a thing or two from Noah's mom,
money.
Murray's Instagram.
Exactly.
You could collab.
Wow.
Norman and Murray together would be a great duo, honestly.
And I was excited for my dad because I find my,
my dad's so big.
My dad loves social media.
Unlikely friends.
Unlikely duo.
Yeah.
My dad loves social media and also needs a hobby.
Yeah.
So I was like, this would have been perfect for him.
But I just, I don't have the time to run Norman's Instagram.
I don't even have the time to respond to some text messages sometimes.
So I'm so.
like emails emails like it's like i can't it's a full time we need full time employee running that
instagram and my dad would have done it you would have done it unfortunately not the case but i will keep
everyone updated if norman ends up making his way to florida yeah which they were like bring just bring
him when you come please just bring when you come and we'll see how non-no reacts i was like i'm not
driving 20 hours for you guys to tell me i got to drive all the way back yeah no because we were
going to drive and then fly home yeah i was like that's just not happening no like rather him just
stay home, he'll be happy, he won't, he won't be frazzled.
Yeah. My brother's going to be with him and will be good.
Because like I said, we're going to Florida. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So that's that. That's Norman. That's the
story of how Norman won't be going to Florida and how my non-no's turning into an angry
old man. Oh man. Poor Norman. Maybe Mima will lighten him up. Hey, maybe. Who knows.
Hey. Hey. When Fran, Fran, because we, we had been planning this for a while. We were like,
let's go to Florida the same time because our parents,
met for the New York show and they had a lot of fun together.
Our dads were like loving each other.
And we were like, let's go to Florida at the same time so we could all hang out.
And then Fran proposed this family barbecue to me.
And I was like, wait a second.
Do I bring no one?
Yeah.
I have a question.
If they say they got married, what would that make you two?
Nano and Mima.
Yeah.
We'd be like step grandkids.
Step grandkids.
Well, like,
Ria would be Mima's step grandkid, I think.
Or like, I think, right?
That would be a whole...
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm just trying to get a picture of them two together.
I know, that's it.
They don't even have to talk.
They'd be a handsome couple.
They would.
Nano's hard to understand.
Yeah, that could be tough because Mima's Italian is like not great.
Yeah, and she's a talker.
She is a talker.
They're around the same age.
Yeah, I think so.
Nano's 84.
Yeah, she's a little bit younger than that.
A spry 84.
this man is go tea at all he's looking good to email would be very upset with me if i revealed
her age on this podcast yes she i will not i will not be doing she likes younger men yeah she does
remember that was always her tip for me yeah yeah yeah always go younger yeah now she's looking for
younger yeah i remember that when we told her gano's age she was like yeah he was like yeah i'm trying
i might be going a little younger um all right let's get into the topics yes let's get into topics
oh wait i have something i wanted to say okay
And I am going to be turning over New Leaf.
I have established that I will no longer be arguing with No on this podcast.
Yeah, okay.
No, I see, this is already where the doubt comes in.
Yeah, you should have.
No, but I just think that's the late.
Why don't know.
Was it because of the blanket thing yesterday?
No, no, no, no blanket thing.
No, no blanket thing.
Because I realize that I, the littlest things are making me too angry, that's no way to live life.
That is no way to live life.
Because of me?
Yeah.
Like what?
I'm going to stop.
No, you got to stop now, too.
I'm going to stop.
No, but that kind of was like, oh, you know.
I'm making it.
I'm going to have a jar.
I'm going to create a jar.
I'm going to create a jar.
It's going to live in the studio.
And Ria, you're going to have to judge if there's any point where I raise my voice.
Oh, my God.
I'm going to start taking notes.
Raise my voice.
Fran versus Noah.
No, no, raise my.
I have to put a dollar in the jar.
Yes.
And then I get all the money.
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
That's why I'm saying I'm really.
I'm not going to do it.
Now, do we return it to Noah?
Like, does Noah have to do the same?
But I don't think I'd do anything.
See, but he doesn't think he antagonizes me at all, which is.
I don't think I do.
Sometimes it's just out of.
Can I, as an outer party, can I speak?
Yeah.
I would like to give my input.
Yeah.
Okay.
I think there's a couple things here.
And I know I do things wrong too, so I'm not trying to act like a saint.
That's besides the point.
This is about you two right now.
Yep.
Fran, you sometimes snap it.
I snap for you.
I snap for you.
I'll snap it.
Let me.
Yeah, yeah.
Zip it.
You snap it.
You snap it.
Noah for no reason at all sometimes.
Like the blank, and this is good in airing out on the podcast.
Like the blanket thing yesterday.
Noah comes over.
He's all excited.
He's like, this blanket's so soft.
New blankets.
Actually on sale.
No, but on sale now.
Okay.
And I understood where Fran's point was when she said this to you.
But I was like, it's the tone in which you say it to him, you're talked down.
And no, no, this is you're taking responsibility.
But I'm now.
Yeah, not even snap.
It's just like talking down to you.
Yeah, I would say so.
Right.
And for Noah, he antagonizes.
He likes to push buttons.
But I think I'm always doing it in a joking kind of way.
But you're doing it right now.
Fran sitting here and she's going, yes, I understand.
And you're right.
And you fight back in which what I just said right now, you could be like, you know what, I do antagonize.
You're right.
I'm going to try to peel it back.
See, it's the butts.
It's the butts.
But should I peel it?
Like, is it a bad thing?
Sometimes.
Sometimes no.
I don't think it's like a mean...
I don't think I do it for any other reason.
It just depends on the moment.
But is it funny?
Sometimes.
That's what I'm saying.
And I'll say...
Sometimes it doesn't come across.
Sometimes it's funny.
Sometimes it's funny when you yell at him.
Yeah.
Sometimes it's funny when you antagonize him.
I just said, I'm done.
And if there is something that Noah says that I don't agree with, this is where it doesn't
qualify for the jar.
I will say, Noah, I do not just...
I do disagree.
And I'm going to leave it at that.
I'm not going to have any further discussion.
I will say, Noah, I don't know.
disagree. I think we should still be able to have arguments. A little banter, yeah. Of course some banter.
I don't want to because it turns in, it gets ugly. I don't think it does get ugly all the time.
I will say this. I've been told I'm yelling at Noah too much. But I will, but I'll, I'll say this in defense to both of you, people are soft.
And people are very soft. People feel too bad for me. They do. And they, and here's the thing, people are soft and they don't realize that the three of us have worked together for four plus years now. We're
We're together every single day, hours upon hours.
We don't stop texting each other.
We're always working together.
It's not going to be rainbows and butterflies all the time.
You're going to argue a little bit.
And also, personally, when I watch shows and I podcast, I watch on YouTube, when the host
and everything are just buddy, buddy, all the time and they agree on everything, I'm like,
this is boring.
I like a little banter.
So that's in defense.
I will say I disagree with him, and then I will move on.
I just don't want you to think that you're being.
I don't want you to take that too personal because I do think that some people probably enjoy a little banter and some people don't.
And it's the vocal minority who always make their opinions so loud about things that the ones, I bet after this conversation, people will DM you and be like, I think it's funny.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So just pick and choose your thoughts.
I feel like I disagree that it is maybe going to come off worse, to be honest.
Like we can't even discuss.
I can't even talk to Noah because.
he makes me so angry.
We got to have some open discussion.
It's not even, well, it's not like I would do it as like, oh, I disagree.
Like, and then not talk or just say, okay.
That's what I'm saying.
But there's a podcast.
You got to talk.
No, I understand.
But it won't be going.
I just, that's what I'm saying.
Like, I'm not going to be taking it.
I'm not going to be taking it further than that.
I'm just going to push the limits.
I'm going to get her.
I just don't want people listening.
I won't crack.
I just want people.
people listening to realize like how close we all really are that that stuff doesn't
really affect us in which they think it does you know what I'm saying yeah like yeah I'm not
like like no's not like crying about it at night I'm just like in the moment I'm like no I know but I don't
really like I don't like the idea that people think I'm a mean person now you're so people only
to me person I'm done no more no more boring no more so go right into the noah jar all right
I'm going to make a ton of money off this.
We'll see.
We shall...
I actually like this game.
I'm going to create a fun little jar.
I'm going to be...
I'm stubborn as fuck, so I can...
I'm going to be good.
I feel it.
I don't know what...
I don't really know what exactly qualifies for the jar.
I just said if I raise my...
If I raise my voice or...
You don't necessarily raise your voice.
But I know, but I need...
That's why I said Ria can be the judge
because Ria's good at being like,
okay, there you took it too far.
Yeah.
I do tell you.
you when it's too far. So, she will be the judge and I will remain calm. This was a fun little
game. I feel like it would remain calm on the outside, but maybe on the inside you'll be like,
No, no, this is. That doesn't matter. No, no, no, off the podcast to the jar exists. Yeah.
That doesn't matter. Yes. Off the podcast to the jar exists. Sure. Okay. I'm trying to think. I feel like it's, yeah,
I don't know. Sure. That's all. We can get into the topics now. All right. I, I, that was a fun little
discussion. But it's also another thing that sometimes, you know, people say, I feel like I'm
talking too much. I feel like I'm out of breath. People, it's the pen. I get the head in my hand.
But people, and I know people say like ignore comments, whatever, but obviously we listen to the
feedback of the show or else we would just be ignoring everyone all the time. It is, though,
and I want everyone, you two to know this too, like, because it's taken me a while to realize it.
that when people are the loudest about things,
there are more people who think otherwise
that they just don't, because they're sitting back
and they're enjoying the show. So they're not
feeling the need to comment about the show.
I don't talk
that much, I would say, like, where
people, like, maybe don't know enough about me
that maybe I'm more annoying than you think.
Or if you just started listening and, you know,
they don't know the background, but we've all been
working together. The Chicks in the office has
always been us three. Yep, since the beginning.
And that ain't changing.
So let's get into the topics.
we're not fucking going anywhere.
All right.
I'm going to turn back.
Go back to your first page.
Go back to my first page on my notes.
All right.

They really are cool.
That's really why I want to talk about that.
And we have a great interview with Jessica Zor, who's just super fucking cool.
I wish we could just hang out with her all the time.
She's a lot of fun.
So let's get into it starting off with Pete Davidson.

Pete Davidson is officially back on Instagram and he's only following two people that
consists of Kim Kardashian and Sebastian Stan.
No posts.
No posts.
People are confused about this because obviously,
everything that's happening with Kanye, it's honestly getting nauseating to even talk about at this point.
But people are confused because Pete always says he wants to stay off social media and you would think at a time like this, he would want to stay off social media.
I'm thinking it's got to be new project of some sort.
Yeah, it has to be.
And as far as Kanye goes, like as of right now, real time he is still posting, whether it's at Pete Davidson or now Lauren Michaels, he's just going for NBC, page six TMZ's.
He's going for him all.
The other day he said he respected all media.
Yeah, I just, I'll be honest, I don't have much more to say about any of this.
He just keeps doing it.
And it, you know, interestingly enough, it took like, I saw more people posting on Instagram,
where it was a perspective that I had not even really thought of, of like, if this was
not a celebrity, and if these, like, were not celebrities and this was happening,
like it's harassment.
Like this could be like restraining order.
Like really pretty dark stuff.
And I'm like, you know what?
That's pretty true.
He just keeps on going in and in and in.
So it just keeps getting worse and worse.
Like I said, I don't have much.
He's going to keep doing it.
So that's it.
And maybe will Pete post anything about him?
I really don't think so.
I'll be shocked if he does.
Pete's now, his Instagram is PMD.
This is initials.
that's it he's already verified he's got over a million followers he must be it must be for work he
must have something to do what better way to i guess just publicity wise in the time that we are living
in right now with what is going on in their lives if he is doing something with sebastian stan
because if you google like there are two names right now it's like pt david's back on instagram
the only person he follows are kim kyn Kardashian stan perhaps pete and sebastian stan perhaps pete and
Sebastian are doing something together
and like this we're going to hear more about it
it's a good way to soft launch that
yeah that would be really cool I think that's probably
the only way Pete would be joining Instagram
he's probably like are you fucking kidding me
to his people I got to join Instagram right now
in the middle of this there's no way
that Pete is posting it
himself I would think that he's
got somebody running his Instagram because
there is no way I'm sure he's being told
about everything Kanye's posting
but if I was him I'd be like I don't want to see all this
all the time every single day
and I am one getting really sick of Kanye
two very excited to watch this documentary
I loved it I'm excited to watch it
I think it's gonna be cool but I also
I'm getting real sick of the
it was like funny at first right because you were like
whoa he's just posting him out so much about Pete Davidson
taking it back these memes he was like
photoshopping shit
now it's just like it's too much relax
you've gotten your point across you're really
fucking upset that your ex-wife is with Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson is very much aware of how upset you are.
Nothing Kanye West Post is going to stop Pete Davidson from getting jobs.
I don't know what he thinks.
He's like posting what Pete used to say about him on SNL and now he's going after
Lauren Michaels.
It's like nothing Kanye says is going to stop Pete from getting a job or dating Kim Kardashian.
He's actually just going to push Tim and Pete closer together because they're going to be like,
it's just going to bring them closer because they have something to do with.
Honestly, watching the documentary kind of, it doesn't explain.
his behavior but it's like he's he's always been this way like he there was a whole scene where he
just went to rockafel records when he wasn't signed like walked in with it and would just go into
random rooms with like people who work there and like shut their music off and put a CD in
and just blast and rap music to like strangers and it's like he's just this is who he is like yeah
well it's not good collect it's not good now yeah it's just that's not a hand no it's definitely
it's taking a dark turn
I feel like.
Like, I just feel like for Kim, it's, if anyone, this was happening to your best friend
and your best friend's ex was just completely online posting, post, post, post, post, post, post, post,
all day about your best friend's new boyfriend.
Like, you call 911.
Like, it's like, it's harassment.
If this was any other situation.
Yes.
Also, like, at first,
Maybe a little bit, the tiny stuff that Kanye was doing, it's like, ah, he wants his family back together.
He wants Kim back.
That's, that. People could understand that.
Right.
And they could, like, setting flowers.
It's just, but it's also extravagance.
Seems more like an ego thing.
Yeah, you could relate to that, right?
Like somebody being like they want their ex back very subtly.
Now it's just too much.
Because he wasn't posting, like, until she was like with someone.
Right.
He didn't really care one.
With Julia Fox all over the place.
Kim could have posted about that.
She's not doing that.
He did the same.
Her tongue kissing all over New York.
He did the same exact shit to Julia Fox that he did with Kim.
But he was doing that.
Whatever.
But still, like, it's just, it's gone too much.
And it's honestly getting sick to talk about.
Like, it's just like, oh, God.
Okay.
Once again.
And they're broken up, Julia Fox and Kanye are done.
Uncle Jams.
Uncle Jans.
Uncle Jams.
Do you remember Pete Davidson's old Instagram, though?
It was like really cool.
Oh, he had a sick Instagram.
cool one. Each one was...
Right.
It was very...
I will say I did listen to that whole interview.
And she is a fascinating human being.
Just from a standpoint of like her life.
Of like living in New York, drugs, partying.
Like the shit that she's done, the life that she's led is pretty wild.
And it is...
It is...
It is funny that that that's...
just the one clip that is now
just everybody is making their own
version of, you know, Alex
had asked her like if she was Kanye's
movie, she's like, well, I was Josh Saftee's music.
Uncut Jams.
Uncgot Jams.
It's so good.
It's so good. I just keep seeing it over and over.
And it was funny. Like, she commented and was like,
all right, guys, like, I was stone. Leave me alone.
And also, like,
I don't even think it necessarily sounds bad.
I think she sounds like, almost kind of cool.
Yeah.
She just has that kind of voice.
Some people just have that.
It's like the vocal fry thing.
Yeah, exactly.
Either way, Pete's back on Instagram
and I'm sure we'll find out why soon.
Yeah, and Julia, like we all expected,
is thriving off of like everything that she has gotten from this.
She's a runway show's now.
She's a, she's a hustler, like she said.
She's a hustler before anything else.
I'm sure she is going to write a book and I'll probably read it.
Me too.
There's probably going to be some,
it's like a week-long thing,
but there's got to be something juicy in there.
This is a thing, right?
Like the Kanye stuff is interesting,
but now almost just hearing about
the other shit she's done in her life
is also so interesting
that it's like, yeah, I would,
I'll read a book about your life.
Yeah, for sure.
Because I know for sure
I'm not living that life.
No, no, no, no, no.
Go to me.
For some's way too jealous.
Overdosing multiple times.
Just like a lot of.
I didn't get to that.
Oh, yeah.
She's at, it's crazy.
It's crazy.
Sometimes I...
Did you see what was going back and forth
her and Azalea Banks?
I did see that.
That's, I mean, Azalea, obviously.
Azalea Banks gives me a headache.
Correct.
That's a perfect way to describe it.
But they were, like, posted screenshots
of each other's text on their Instagram.
And she's asking for hotel plugs from Julia and drug,
drug, where she can get drugs from.
And they're going, talking,
Zalia's calling her like a drug hole.
It was crazy.
People really play.
A rushing wet with their life.
Crazy.
They just like, fuck it, whatever happens, happens.
I'm terrified to die.
Anyways.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'd rather not die.
Yeah, I'd rather not.
I would also rather not as well.
Yeah.
Anyways.
Anyways, moving on.
Jake Jillon Hall is talking about Taylor Swift's version of Red.
He was asked about it.
And he gave a typical douchebag answer of trying to sound like a really smart guy.
And in my opinion, I think he is.
I think he gave the answer
I think he thinks he is also
I think he gave the answer
that people expect John Mayer to give
Right
But John Mayer has not given it
Right
I get what you're saying
Like some sort of deep answer
To like everything that's going on
Whereas like
John's just kind of like
This is what's happening
Where Jake could just be like
Yeah Taylor made that song
It is what it is
Where Jake's like
Let's instill some philosophical thought
And so what's happening
Jake like
This is a thing
There's this whole profile on him
It's written by Eric Sullivan
and St. Esquire.
And they took a trip to some, like, private race track in the Catskills.
They, like, left New York.
They drove out together.
He wrote this whole story.
I read the whole story.
It is interesting.
Just from the standpoint of, like, you know, getting to know a little bit more about who
Jake Gyllenhall is.
It's...
But it also does, I think, really line up with how...
Taylor has portrayed him, especially during that time, at the age.
Now he's 41.
That's like part of the story.
He's 41.
He's growing up.
He's very happy in his relationship and life and all these things.
But like the way the whole family operates and the area who he grew up in and the high
school he went to and how serious he takes his craft.
Like acting is just, it's so serious for him.
And I don't know if you guys read the inner actor on actor between him and Lady Gaga.
that was also very similar where like the two of them were talking about acting like they were
solving world hunger like it was like the their acting is just showbiz babe yeah exactly so that is where
I'm like okay I can kind of get Taylor Swift at a young age sitting at a dinner party with Jake
and all of his friends and feeling like what the fuck are these people talking about and then
Jake being like oh yeah you don't get it like the whole I can see that it was very short-lived but
the way he answered this question and the way this was written, I'm going to read it because
it's like the, when you don't actually read it in the context of the article, it doesn't make
as much sense. You just see like all the headlines are like Jake Gyllenhaal addresses Taylor Swift.
He didn't really address Taylor Swift. He sort of spoke on it for a second.
So they, you know, talked about how a month before Taylor had re-release read.
The author wrote instantly, Jillen Hall became the internet's punching bag.
though the hours mostly
blah blah blah blah
Anyway if anyone came to his defense
Their message was lost
And the overwhelming anti-Jake sentiment
That flooded the comments
Of not just his Instagram account
But also Maggie's and even Jamie Lee Curtis's
Jamie Lee Curtis
Jake Jillenhall's godmother
I don't know if
Didn't know that
Such a cool godmother to have
Jake Jillenhall
Godfather to Heath Ledger
and Michelle Williams' daughter Matilda
Very cool awesome
Are they friends?
Uh huh
Good friends
Yeah
So then he wrote
entertainment media feasted for weeks.
Jill and Hall had never been in the press as much as he was in the weeks after the song's release,
not even close.
Swift did not comment on her fans' reactions.
While she's always been open about using her past relationships as lyrical fodder,
she's never named names.
Until now, Jill and Hall hasn't commented either.
That he turned off his Instagram comments was the only sign this firestorm had affected him at all.
It has nothing to do with me.
It's about her relationship with her fans, he says when I bring it up to him.
It is her expression.
Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don't begrudge anyone that.
Still, I offer, hasn't this past month been hard on him?
He says it is not.
What about turning off his Instagram comments?
Doesn't that suggest the situation has affected his life, even if only as an inconvenience?
Here he starts speaking in broader terms.
At some point, I think it's important when supporters get unruly that we feel responsibility
to have them be civil and not allow for cyberbullying in one's name, he says.
He falls silent, then pensive.
That begs for a deeper philosophical question, not about any individual per se, but a conversation that allows us to examine how we can or should even take responsibility for what we put into the world, our contributions into the world. How do we provoke a conversation? We see that in politics. There's anger and divisiveness, and it's literally life-threatening in the extreme. I ask if his life has been threatened recently, he says, no, that's not what he's suggesting. My question is, is this our future? Is anger and divisiveness our future?
or can we be empowered and empowered others
while simultaneously putting empathy and civility
into the dominant conversation?
That's the discussion we should be having.
I then ask if he thinks such empowerment is achievable.
I think it's possible, yes, of course,
but I think many things are possible.
He shrugs, his hands raised in the air as if to convey
what more is there to say.
Has he listened to the album?
No.
All right, Ray, you want to take paragraph four?
That gave me a headache.
That's what I'm still like that's,
This is just, I think this is just the kind of guy Jake Gyllenhaal is, which is fine.
I can never sit down and have a conversation with Jake Jillen Hall.
And I'm not saying Jake Jalenhall wants to sit down and have a conversation with us.
Yeah.
But I don't want to have a conversation with anyone like that.
But that's an interview.
Like, I'm sure he's not like that.
No, it just, it kind of think he is.
I just feel like a lot of these people are like that.
But I'm not, I will say, like, I'm not immediately turned off by that.
I do think I am interested.
this almost makes me more interested to speak to him in real life to see if that is really how he speaks.
I guess so. I mean, to be fair, like, yeah, he raises a good question point, but also,
he does, honestly, I think he does, too. I think he raises a good question and point, but it's just more so, like,
at what point does Taylor Swift? I just have to step in. Right. Right. And, but also it's kind of like,
um, like your actions towards Taylor Swift, right? It's like, you, it can be flipped around, I guess,
but really anything can be. It's just, which, which is. It's just, what? And, it's just,
which side you're looking at it from.
It's just one of those...
I would love for Taylor to come out and be like,
it was about you.
Yeah, it's just one of those interviews
that you read and you're just like,
man, this really is, he's an artist.
You know what I mean?
He's an artist.
He's really coming across like that.
And I guess that's why they're...
I guess that's why they're great at their craft.
Exactly, the word I'm using for.
That's why they've evolved their craft.
Yeah, and...
Great actor.
He is a great actor.
Probably top 10.
a really good actor. He is. Yeah.
And now I, do I feel bad saying I don't want to sit down and have a conversation with him?
No. If Jake Gyllenhaal wants to come on here, you'd have him. Of course. Yeah, yeah. Look,
don't ask, crazy questions. Crazy questions. Don't ask stupid questions like that. I would love to have
Jake Dillon Hall in here. I didn't mean it like that. Yeah. It's more so if he wasn't Jake
Jillenhall, right? Take, this just doesn't even matter. But take Jake Jillan
off of this and this is just a random man on the street. Well, let's I'm saying take Joe. I hate when
people talk like this.
Right? I feel like he can only talk like that because...
He's Jake Dillon. For sure.
Yeah.
I mean, anytime you hear someone say, you know, that begs for a deeper philosophical question, it's like a...
I feel like I'll stop you right there.
Right. Yeah. And say no more.
Say less. I'll stop you right. I'll stop you right there, sir.
It's more about the way it's phrased. Yeah.
Because this is...
Because it is a good point.
It is fair. I think he answered that as well as he could.
Yes.
Because of course he really, I don't think he really wants to talk about the song or Taylor Swift in general.
because like he said, he did turn off his Instagram comments.
It was something that happened and he had to deal with it.
And I felt like he answered it as well as he could in that, look, that's her story.
She has every right to tell it as an artist.
If she wants to write songs about her life, that's what artists do.
I feel like he handled it pretty well.
This whole situation.
Like, yeah.
If he had just been like, I don't want to talk about it, people.
No, I, I, for it to be as big as it was 10 years later, I feel like at the end of the day, he handled it.
as well as someone could.
Yeah.
I'm excited to see what happens with the, uh,
dear John when that comes out.
I know.
It will be interesting to see John.
I really do hope that John Mayer,
not that he isn't,
because I feel like that's already been debunked of him,
you know,
being a part of it in some way,
but.
Prepare yourself, John.
Like if he maybe posts a TikTok
with the song playing or something.
He's going to get me ripped.
He should delete his TikTok.
No, but I think John Mayer is going to handle it beautifully.
Yeah.
I think he will,
but I don't think that'll stop.
No, no, no.
No, no.
The hell still get destroyed.
I think sometimes he,
gets now like yes john mayor i think was a douchebag back in the day and like did some
fucked up things not i don't really know personally but i just that's what i've heard and people
but i think now he's felt like that from jessica since his book but i think now like people can
that's the one thing that bothers me is that people don't think that people can change right like
they think that john mayor has to be the same douchebag that he was 10 plus years ago it's
like i'm in a happy relationship like i'm good with my family john mayor can grow up and learn
And I think he talked about it all the time.
He's like, yeah, it was a scumbagg.
Like, I grew up in.
And he just look at the people he hangs out with.
It's like they wouldn't hang out with him.
No, like Andy, all those guys.
And he is always, and when he did current mood.
Bob Sagget.
Yeah, he would always love John Mayer.
Uncle James.
He would always reflect on like how he acted or whatever.
And I feel like he's done some like deep thinking about himself, John Mayer,
that I feel like he's going to actually handle it really well.
I think he gets unwarranted hate now.
Like when I saw that tick.
talk about, it was Andy Cohen
and John Mayer and he was, I talked about this last
episode, I think, or the episode before.
And Andy Cohen said, you're America's boyfriend.
He said, I'm America's ex-boyfriend. I'm the one where I can't be named.
And all the comments were like, oh, he's so full of himself, like, blah, blah, blah.
You're nobody's boyfriend.
It's like, he's fucking John Mayer.
Yeah.
He's John Mayer.
Like, who do these people on TikTok think they are saying that John Mayer is like a nobody?
Like, it's fucking John Mayer.
Like, let's be real now.
Yeah, he is somebody.
And yeah, people care about him.
So.
Hell yeah.
The Taylor fans go harder than really, I think, any.
Remember those.
Very close to the beehive.
Those leaked DMs were at John Mercer's.
Like, you really want me to kill my life?
Like, you really want me to die.
I think he's just like, whoa.
And that shows, that also shows the culture around it where those DMs are sent.
And then the girl was like, wow, you like really answer.
Like, no, like a.
I love you, John.
Yeah.
Oh, my big fan.
Yeah.
Yeah, like maybe think before that's what you're sending out to people.
People do that stuff all the time.
They say shit to somebody thinking nobody's ever going to see it.
And then when they respond, they're like, oh, oh, I'm so sorry.
I'm a big fan.
Yeah.
Really?
It's going to keep happening.
But I will say it does as much as you can kind of laugh at it, Jake, it does.
It's an interesting question when Taylor Swift has as many fans as she does who act the way that she does do.
like, you know, who would think they're acting in the name of Taylor Swift.
Yeah.
At one point, does it get too far.
I know how they feel.
Yeah.
It's interesting.
It's interesting.
But at the end of the day, all too well, it raises.
It raises a question for more philosophical thought.
Sure does.
It sure does.
It does beg for the deeper philosophical question.
There is one shirt, shirts, sweatshirts, pants that I continue to get Joe that he could not be happier about.
every single time. It's the cuts.
Kid in a candy shop, when the box comes, he opens him up.
He's been wearing his sweatshirt three days in a row.
It's like, the cut stuff looks good.
The cut stuff does look good.
And they really have all the perfect essentials for building out a good wardrobe.
They're like great staple pieces, Henley's, T-shirts, sweatshirts.
You don't have to worry about those like unflattering boxy, whoa, knocking over the microphone.
unflattering boxy shirts.
Cuts makes teas that you can appreciate.
How great, you know, they're form fitting.
They're form fitting.
Joe's got a nice shoulders, and the cuts,
they cut the right way.
They look good. They do look good. They do look good.
So Cuts has totally revolutionized
the traditional outdated T-shirt category.
They make it easy to mix and match
styles and colors. They have, like I said,
all the basics where you can really build out a good wardrobe.
It's insanely soft. The fabric,
the material is great, doesn't shrink,
It doesn't fade when you watch it, all of those things.
So I'm telling you right now, like, if you are looking to upgrade your guy's wardrobe,
where he needs just a couple things, the simple pieces.
Cuts is perfect for it.
It is the one thing that I feel like I, anytime it's coming into the house, everybody's happy.
It's pleasing for everyone.

Okay. Aaron Rogers and Shane Lee and Woodley have apparently broken up. Their engagement has been
called off. It's been about one year since we even found out about this engagement when he
thanked her in his NFL MVP speech. And that was February 2021. And apparently it just wasn't
working. A source told people it was an amicable split. It just wasn't working. They're very different
people with busy careers and there are obstacles that they couldn't surmount. They will remain friendly.
There's no bad blood and no drama. It just didn't work out for them. I have no thoughts about this.
I really don't. I don't care about this couple. Yeah. I'll be honest. It just begs for the deeper
philosophical
political.
No,
it's just,
I,
Aaron Rogers
as a person,
I'm more and more
turned off by.
Yes,
and confused by.
A guy just,
I feel like he's weird
in relationships.
I don't know what's going on.
Family shit.
You know, we've heard
this shit that Olivia Munn said
about him.
Like, you know,
anytime, like,
Like, yeah, the family shit.
There just feels like there's a lot going on behind the scenes,
the behind the man that we don't quite see.
And I don't, you know, I don't think Shailene Woodley is the most,
your average gal, you know, she's a little funky too.
And in her way making her homemade medicine and shit.
Like, she's like a little bit of a hippie.
Holistic?
Yeah, she's a little bit of a hippie, which is fine.
That's the way you want to live your life.
ahead.
But it's just the more and more whenever there's something going on, I'm just like, I would
love to know more about Aaron Rogers because to me, I'll be honest, at the beginning, this
couple weirdly made sense.
I was like, okay, I feel like they're both kind of out there.
Maybe it'll work.
But it just continues to not work for Aaron Rogers.
Like I said.
Yeah.
Got nothing to say about this couple.
I really don't.
You just can't get another ring.
I'm not.
I'm not a huge fan of either of them.
Yeah.
Or really care about them.
Yeah.
So I feel very indifferent about their engagement ending.
Not shocked.
Shailene Woodley, any good movies?
Divergent.
You know what's a good movie?
It's a spectacular now with Miles Teller.
Fault in our stars.
I never saw either.
You divergent?
Divergent?
Yep.
You would like divergent.
Divergent is great.
What is that?
Is like a superhero?
I also like the one she's in.
Not a superhero.
I'd say more Hunger Games-esque.
It is very hungry-games-esque.
But I actually like Divergent better than Hunger Games.
What about, um, did you watch Big Little Lies?
Uh,
Oh, she's so good in Big Little Lies.
Miles Teller is also in Divergent.
The, the Descendants is also a good movie.
Oh, the descendants with George Clooney.
Yeah, that's a good movie.
Great actor.
I mean, we all really forget that.
Secret Life of American Teenager.
I never watched that, but I always wanted to.
No, I never watched.
it because I felt I wasn't a lot I was still like a little young oh I guess that's true oh look it
it came out in 2008 so I was in high I was just starting high school my bad influence friends
watched it and I thought that was a bad move for me to watch it because they were watching it
I would have thought you were the bad influence friend I wasn't I know that it may come across that
way but I I actually was not the bad influence friend um not until uh you became you you you
grew into it I am now I am now the bad influence friend but
I'm interested to go back and watch this show if it like...
To Your Life of America.
Yeah, because I feel like now I might watch it and be like, damn, this was, uh...
Like, it was really...
I felt like it was like the very stereotypical shunning of a pregnant teenager.
Yeah, I'm sure.
Right.
So you never watched any of it at all.
I knew what it was about.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But no.
No, interesting.
Okay.
Not at all.
I did.
I have not watched it since it was on TV.
This is not a team.
And I only watched like the first.
couple seasons. I didn't watch the whole thing. This is not a teen pregnancy. Okay. But I will say the bad
influenced friend that I was her favorite show just had a baby a couple months ago.
Congrats. And she's my age. Good for her. Not a teen pregnancy. Not see not at all.
No. Actually normally people have babies. Yeah. Weird story though. I don't know how much I want to tell
Oh boy. Are we just going to go into this or? No, no. I feel like maybe I feel like probably not.
Call her up, call her up. Feel like it's not your story to tell.
I guess it's not.
Sounds like a normal story.
No, she's saying.
No, she's saying the story of the girl.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, so far I haven't heard anything that crazy.
Real quick, I'll just say it.
And if you don't think it's to be in the podcast,
we can cut it out.
I really don't think it's that bad at all.
This one couple, they started dating from when we were...
You did tell me about this.
Yeah, they started dating from when we were in like seventh grade,
all throughout college, whatever.
They broke up after college.
They both started dating new people after college,
and they both had babies within the same year.
Oh.
One of them had a spite baby.
I think one of them had a spite baby.
Super fair.
Not weird.
That's not as weird as that's not as weird.
But also like how is that even,
they're both pregnant at the same time?
One got pregnant after the other one.
Like very soon.
Couple months after.
Because it's like you can't, you would have had to time that out.
You would have had to know before.
Yeah.
Couple months after.
I don't know.
It was just weird timing.
Yes, that's just.
They dated all through our college, broke up after college,
both started dating new people, both got pregnant with the idea.
Maybe the kids will be friends.
What? Maybe. Who knows?
Happy for both of them, by the way. I just want that.
Maybe.
Just happy for both of them.
You know who I just while we're clip quickly because I realized I forgot this and I'm never one to, you know I don't really love to speculate on pregnancies.
Yeah.
I think Sophie Turner is pregnant against.
I'm not one to speculate, but I'm not one to speculate, but I'm like pretty.
Based on.
Based on photos of her looking pregnant.
Oh, dangerous
That's dangerous
But you're so sure
That I think you're okay with somebody
I will be shocked
I will apologize
I'm not saying anything
You better apologize
I'm not saying I will
I will apologize profusely
But she's like
She's doing like Rihanna
Fashion
Like with her stomach
Yes
Like she's putting her stomach out
Yeah
And she's like holding it
And it hasn't really caught
Yeah
Like Rihanna
It's like come on guys
She's holding her stomach
In some of these pictures too
Yeah, I just...
Once again,
Fram will purposely apologize.
I will apologize
for the rest of my life
if I am wrong.
That has to be one of my biggest
like fears is to
say,
I'm looking at the pictures.
I'm just showing you.
I'm not asking you guys to speculate.
I'm not, I'm not, that's not what I'm asking.
Maybe we got a movie roll.
I don't want you guys to jump in is, but I just
okay.
Yeah, I just, you know, if I'm wrong,
you don't want to say it,
but you're not, I'm asking.
thinking it. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
If I'm not, I couldn't be more happy
that their family is growing. If you're wrong, good
for her. If I'm wrong, yeah. Like, if I'm
wrong, I apologize. And I, like I said, I will be incredibly
incredibly sorry, but I do
it just... If you're wrong, no, we're going to scratch this podcast.
We're actually just, we're going to delete it.
Yeah. Yeah. No, I, I...
Look, I love the two of them so much and they are,
she just seemed like, once again, she's like the coolest fucking mom ever.
I mean, L is posting articles titled Sophie Turner is either pregnant again or she's trolling us very successfully.
Yeah, right, right.
So, right.
They're saying it.
Because now I will say she has been photographed out and about multiple times in the last week.
Multiple different outfits.
And holding her stomach.
Multiple, like, where it's like, you know, they're going to events.
They're with Willa.
I walked by both of them a couple months ago.
You did.
I was like, oh, my God.
He looks so short.
Yeah.
So I do, you know, if this is the case, I'm very happy for them.
And if it's not, I'm very, very sorry.
We haven't really jumped into, I feel like, the cool kid, the celebrity cool kid children.
You know, as deep as you can.
Not that we should, but it just as deep as you can.
There are some cool ones out there.
There's some really fucking cool ones.
And I think Iris Apatow leads the pack.
I look at her Instagram.
I'm like these kids these this is like peak gen z her Olivia rodrigo their whole squad
wait they're friends oh yeah very good friends that's pretty cool yeah and now iris they just live
the life man I know they really just live the life she I all you need is a two second glance at her
Instagram you're like I was just like she's not she's it I mean she's 18 no I know but I just know
mod yeah and mod is super cool too this is crazy but how are you not going to think they're cool
Oh, she's so cool.
So fucking cool.
How are you not going to think they're cool when like Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow's kid?
Yeah.
Like I could see them being great parents.
And if you see the interviews lately with Judd and Maude, it just seems like they have
great relationship.
I love when Judd posts like the clips of you from Euphoria like or pictures of
Maude like just proud dad moment.
He's like, oh, check out Euphoria tonight.
These kids always look like they're like on drugs, right?
But they're probably not.
Like they're probably, or maybe they could be.
could be.
They could be.
No, no.
But the pictures are really like drug-ass.
That is, but I just feel like that's the aesthetic.
Yeah, no, it's the aesthetic.
Yeah.
Damn, Paris Hilton comment on her pictures.
No, it's cool as fuck.
And they're also, like, they brought back Twilight.
I don't know if you saw that.
Like, they brought back Twilight in, like, a non-ironic way.
Oh, yes.
Where they were, like, making Twilight cool again.
This is crazy because I really haven't seen her since this is 40 when she's a child.
No.
And, like, she always changes her hair color.
She's just always
New hair colors, new hair styles
You think she'll follow me back?
Yeah
Yeah
For 100%
She's probably like oh Stasi follow me
Yeah 100%
When you reply to my stories
I got excited
She follows Ellie shit
Uh
I was gonna say that makes sense
But I don't know why that would make sense
Who else does she follow
Um
Well
You know
She follows Stasi baby already
Damn
Damn
Yeah
Yeah
Shit
Screwed.
So anyway, this started because she's dating Ryder Robinson, who is Kate Hudson's oldest son.
Kate has three kids.
Ryder is with Chris Robinson, I believe his name.
Singer from the Black Crows.
I like the Black Crows, but I don't know.
Yeah.
They were together for like early 2000s.
They had one kid together.
that's Ryder. He's also 18.
Epic name.
Such a cool. When you said Ryder Robinson, I was like, fuck.
He's born to be a celebrity.
Such a star. Born to be a celebrity.
How did these kids end up with such cool names?
But how do these kids find each other? Like, how do you become friends of the Livia
Rodriguez? Just like, well, you're just like at the same events.
Yeah. Yeah. And I just think Iris is automatically cool.
But why? Because of your parents.
You could be an, like, they could have had me.
true
and then it's like do I get to be friends
just because my parents or do I have to really be cool
well no this is the thing you might
the door opens
you got to be cool enough to push it out
that's a lot of pressure I feel like
no for sure I mean you're Judd Appetown
Leslie Mann's kid I feel like I'm sure there's pressure
but they also seem like they handle it very well
they also seem like their parents are really fucking cool
and normal
how does Zachia know every goddamn person in the world
like of course he's like because he's connected
because if you're trying to get it
into any of the cool places, you've got to be friends with Zach Bia.
That's...
Sometimes I wish I was friends with Zach Bia.
Me too.
Me too.
But anyway, it's just cool as fuck.
Oh yeah, like this is her, like this is what I was picturing.
Right, right.
Yeah, you're picturing her literally an eight-year-old.
They are super cool.
And, um, and Ryder...
She was the cool one in that movie, the kid.
Yes, she was.
And Ryder posted a picture.
of the two of them.
Like, it was like a very cute little
Instagram relationship announcement
and the parents
are all on board.
Leslie commented with some hearts.
Kate Hudson commented as well.
Sweets.
She commented sweets with a heart emoji.
So cute.
It is so cute.
Just picturing Leslie,
Leslie Mann and Kate Hudson hanging out.
Yeah.
Kate Hudson's so cool.
So was Leslie Mann.
I have a giant poster of Kate Hudson.
I got to hang up in my,
really?
It's an almost thing.
She, and I know this is like, I'm late to the game on this because this was a few weeks ago.
But I might be one of the only people who actually watch every episode of, that's my jam with Jimmy Fallon.
I don't even know what that is.
Exactly.
I don't either.
Exactly.
Is that new?
Yes.
He hosts this like music game show.
It's on NBC.
They have celebrities who play games.
One episode was Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver.
They were playing against people like.
Can't even remember at the moment.
And Kate sang, like, one of the, it's very similar to, like, the games Jimmy Fallon plays on his show.
So they did, like, musical karaoke, like, all things like that.
So Kate's one was she had to sing seven rings by Ariana Grande in, like, a 60s, like, duop kind of version.
And she is a phenomenal singer, like, super.
Kate Hudson.
This version of the song she sang was so cool.
Like even Ariana Grande was like, can we put that on streaming services?
Like, it's really cool.
I kind of love that though, that she just like sticks to acting.
Right.
Like I'm not going to be a singer.
Yeah.
But and it's funny because I feel like she has historically dated a lot of musicians.
Like I just feel like she is that gal.
Who is she dated?
Kate Hudson.
Well, I mean, she's got a kid with Chris Robinson, singer of the Black Rose.
She has a, she was engaged and broke up.
Also as a kid with Matt Bellamy, who's in Muse, the band.
Oh, Muse, yeah, yeah.
And then now...
She's also going to like alternative rock.
Yeah, no, exactly, like really cool guys.
And now she's with Danny Fujikawa is his name.
And I believe, I don't know if he himself is actually a musician, but I think he, like, works in the music
industry if I he let me see if I is her character and almost
yeah like kind of band-aid so they've they've known each other for a long time apparently
these like step siblings with Sarah and Aaron Foster but I wish I feel like everyone's
related to them it can say can say that so um yeah they've been together for a while
they have they also have a baby together um
And I don't know, like, what exactly, I can't find it in here, what exactly he does, but I think it is also something.
She currently acting?
I don't think so.
She's just cool.
He's an actor, professional.
Okay, this guy does it all, it seems like, as well.
Imagine being professionally cool.
Right.
Like, and also, you just have so much money.
Yeah.
That her parents are never going to make her get a job.
No, I mean, she has her sister, her mom, her dad.
They're all making money.
And it's like, you just be cool.
Just be cool.
Yeah.
She's only, I mean, she's so young.
She could do whatever the fuck she wants.
I doubt she's going to talk.
Okay, so she actually played,
am I looking at the right person?
Yes.
She played the character of Aria Hopkins in love from 2016 to 2018.
I never watched that, but that was a Judd Apatow thing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was on Netflix.
Yeah.
And I guess she was in that.
Throwback to when Judd Apatow posted about Trent being the little guy.
Looks like he won't be able to do that again this season.
Fuck, I forgot about that.
Yeah.
I forgot about that.
I think he deleted it.
Yeah.
Damn.
Yeah.
So anyway, it's just like the circle.
It just that, the circle is so small.
It is.
Of just cool celebrities with their cool celebrity kids all intermingling, which is how you just get more cool celebrities.
Kid up next.
A sap and Rihanna's good
Oh yeah
Will be the next cool
They'll lead the people
They're almost like too cool

All right, everyone, we are here with a very special guest.
We have Jessica Zor joining the podcast.
She also has her new podcast out.
It's all about Gossip Girl, which we love.
It's XOXO with.
Jessica Zor, welcome back to the show.
You were actually on our show before a long time ago.
I don't even know if you remember that.
I totally do.
And I remember coming up to the office and being like, it was very just cool because
bar stool and then everything that you guys do, I'm a big fan of.
Because you guys keep it real and it's fun and fresh.
And then barstool, anything that they do cracks my shit up.
Like on a lot of them always like, when anyone sends me something on Instagram or something,
like, if I'm like laughing out loud, it's barstool.
So I just remember the.
office and everything was great, but since then, the entire world shut down. And I find it funny because
for me with the podcast, and this is all new to me, everything is over Zoom or Skype or, you know,
all that? Is that flat out what you guys do now because of the situation our whole world was just in?
Or do you still have guests come in? Well, first off, we have a whole new office. So it's so much bigger
and nicer than the one you saw. And this studio we made our own, which is way cooler. Some people come in
And some, most are over Zoom now, but we do have some guests come in here and there.
Yeah, I would say it also has a lot to do with just where the guest is actually located.
Like if you, if they live in New York, then it's a lot easier.
The guests will come in, you know, if they're local.
But now it just feels like not, there's just not a lot of the classic press tours that people do
where they're traveling.
And so now they're doing that over Zoom.
So it's a, it happens a lot, but I feel like a lot of people now, and you can probably attest to this, where you're like, well, if I don't have to leave my house. Yeah, yeah. You're like, if I don't have to leave my house, if I don't have to leave my kid, I don't have to leave my family, and I can just do everything over Zoom, then I'm going to do that. So I feel like that's the approach people take now. But it's cool because I feel like we get more people than we usually would have now because it's not just. People can do it from wherever. Yeah, exactly. It's not just New York. But you have your own podcast now. You have your own podcast now. You have. You have. You.
You have your own studio going on over there.
You got the professional mics and everything.
How is it going for you?
Do you like doing the podcast?
I'm like really enjoying it.
To be totally honest and like totally honest about it,
I was like taking this on being a new mom coming with my man where he played hockey here in Canada.
And I wanted to still do something fun and artful and colorful and colorful and something that I like knew a lot about.
But I wasn't really someone that was like, oh, let me start a podcast.
So when it was brought to me, I was like, oh, you guys got something there.
And I definitely feel like there's an audience because people really enjoyed gossip girl.
But I don't know if I'm your girl.
Thank you.
But no, thank you.
And then my manager a couple days later was like, listen, you can take this and come up with some of your own ideas.
Go back to that.
And you can literally go to Canada and do this.
And I'm like, wait, what?
Okay.
So then I called back and kind of gave them my creative ideas of what I would change.
They liked it.
We came together and did it.
but to be honest, there's a lot more work that goes into it.
And I'm someone who likes to work hard and it gets me going and all that.
So I wasn't trying to take it on because I thought it was going to be easy.
But I don't think people understand.
I think people think you throw on your headphones and just have a conversation,
which that is what a podcast is.
But there's so much more work that goes into all of it that I don't think a lot of people
understand.
And they shouldn't.
You come on to like hear a conversation.
People should just enjoy it.
They don't need to know all of it.
But I was like really shocked by that.
Yeah, that's that's very true.
like you said, Gossip Girl, still so popular.
People still love hearing about it and talking about it.
And this is kind of a different approach.
There are so many podcasts right now, I would say that are rewatching old shows, things like that.
But that is not what you're doing.
You know, you are bringing in guests.
You're having conversations, fashion world, other co-stars from the show, a lot of really cool things.
How have you been organizing the show and how, you?
I guess like, is it an open door for anybody who was on the show with you to come talk to you?
Or are you like, oh, I could.
Definitely.
I mean, it's like a colorful fun spot to go on like, just like reminisce and take a walk down memory lane.
Now, mind you, originally when they came to me, they were like, let's flat out just do a rewatch.
And I'm like, listen, a rewatch sounds great and fun, but let's just do a little bit of both.
Like, let's talk about how everyone got cast.
Let's talk about our experience.
Because at the time, like even Chase's episode comes out today, Nate Archibolt,
Like we were such good friends, still dear friends to this day, but like we were doing things,
nothing bad, but like that we wouldn't talk about in the press or in interviews.
Like if we talked about like the little bar that we went to, we didn't want that to be out
in New York City because we wanted to be able to get off work and have a drink and not, you know,
feel like we were being watched all the time.
So at the time, we were kind of tight-lipped about anything we were doing or where we were
hanging.
We couldn't talk about storylines on the show because they wanted that to be fresh for each
week as it should have been.
So it's just kind of fun to be 10 plus years removed.
Talk about what we love.
Talk about what was hard.
Talk about the storylines because a lot of the people coming on,
we haven't really seen the show.
Like I didn't realize Blair lost her virginity to Chuck in episode seven season one.
I'm like, wait, that was that early on.
And when you listen to Ed's episode, he didn't either.
He's like, wait, there's no way.
I'm like, I know where it was.
And he's like, I think so.
I'm like, what?
Right, right.
So it's just fun to go back and do all that.
That is great. It's hard because, like you said, it is now 10 plus years removed. So it is funny
because I'm sure you guys are remembering things that you really forgot happened. And you can
actually share it with the world now, which is really fun. Now, are there anything that
you guys have decided are kind of off limits? I mean, I've definitely said to anyone that, you know,
wants to come on, like, I'm not trying to make this thing where I'm like gossiping.
about people's personal lives or when people were dating and things like that.
I really wanted to do what people are comfortable.
If someone comes on and wants to bring it up, that's on them.
But I'm not asking questions to put anyone on the spot or do that.
One, a lot of them are still very dear friends to me.
And two, I just didn't want, this isn't like a gossip podcast where I'm like trying to like
bust out some things.
But there are definitely things when you come on, you're going to hear that like we didn't
know at the time, you know, some things behind the scenes of like, just on set that were
like problematic on the day.
that we didn't know that like ended up being serena's epic look and like the most sought after
you know outfit so there's like things like that and it's just fun for us to i play a couple games
with the with the guests and it's like it's just really fun to hear and there's just a lot that
you know we didn't see so when we're talking about different episodes and i do start doing
rewatches every few episodes i do a rewatch which are super fun yeah so different guests will come on
and do it with me but i mean it was wild you guys watched it when it
first aired, right? Oh, yeah. I did not watch it when it first aired. I was like a little too young at that
point, but I remember my sister, like being very excited week to week. And then later on when I was in high
school, she was like, you have to watch Gossip Girl. She gave me like a bunch of shows I got to watch,
you know, all the classic like teen dramas. And I binge watch Gossip Girl when I was on Netflix. And I was
when I tell you obsessed with it. Like I just, I for some reason, every so,
often would just tweet out, I'm Chuck Bass.
And my friends would be like, all right, we get it.
Like, you're still watching Gossip Girl.
I could look back on my tweets to this day and just there's probably 50 like,
I'm Chuck Bass tweets just because I became obsessed with it and I still rewatch it to
this day.
Like, I'm like, oh, what should I throw on?
I'm like, I'll throw on Gossip.
I, um, I, when it first came out, I like sneaky watched it.
I would turn it on like in my mom like, or one of my mom like wasn't in the room because
I was definitely younger too, but
enough, not enough where she was like, oh my
god, but that's when, that was
what was so cool about the show too
is like, the advertising
really pulled from that, right?
You guys had those very sexy,
yes, like those very scandalous
posters where they basically were like,
parents don't let your kids watch this show.
And then the kids wanted to watch the show.
Well, they were like parent groups
being like, this is the worst show ever.
I literally took quotes, put it on the billboard of like Chase and Serena, you know, Serena and Nate, like literally having sex.
Yeah.
But what's funny to me is like going back and kind of rewatching or taking a look and just where we were all at.
We were in our early 20s.
Social media was different.
The way you had to wait each week to watch the show.
So it's just, I'm looking at it in a different lens.
So it's like super fun to go back and watch.
And now I kind of see.
It's not that I didn't at the time realize how many people were responding to it across the world
because we were just in it.
So it was like a very different way to like understand really what was going on as like a TV show,
not just being an actor in it and that whole part of it.
You know, so that's been interesting to watch.
I'm like, wow, I really understand the Chuck and Blair situation.
Yeah.
I get, you know, Serena's style.
So it's been really fun and interesting.
And also it makes me want to like go back and run to place in New York and like do all the things we were
honestly watching it back the one thing that gets me every time is I'm like these teenagers were
just walking into the fanciest bars and sitting down and having a drink like they're full grown
adults did you guys at the time think to yourself like this is weird or we're like oh they're just
rich kids so it makes sense I think it was a little bit of both because really that world of the
upper east side is such a small percentage of the world like in general so it's like it was a little
bit of like, is this real? But then I also feel like for kids that live in New York, everything
kind of is at your fingertips. Like, you don't have to worry about driving. So you get in a cab and you
kind of go. And I feel like people grow up a little faster. So like people walk into a bar
feeling like they older than older than they are. Like, you know, like you weren't questioning
Serena because she like owned it. But I don't, was that what every girl in the Upper East I did? I don't
know. I think it was a little bit of both for me. Yeah. It definitely felt like a mix. And it feels like a
mix now knowing like I I have made friends of you know girls and guys that have grew up
grown up in Manhattan and some were either like very sheltered and did not do it and some were like
yeah I was that I was in so and so with like 15 I went to my first club in the city at 16 so I feel
like but I'm from New York but not in the city but I feel like yeah like there are places that
you're just like allowed to go at a young yeah yeah it's wild now going back and looking at
you know, Vanessa's storyline and everything that happened with her, like, what has the response
been? Because I know for you, like, and fans, there were a lot of times when everyone was pretty
fed up with Vanessa. I'm, I'll be, like, Vanessa kind of sometimes, here, I played her. So I find
like a side where I'm like, I, there, she has a relatable thing and I like a lot of things about
her. But she definitely worked a nerve for me a lot of the time because I'm like, this girl's
Hucking up. She's the only one that hooked up with all the guys. She's only coming up for East
guide. And I'm like, yo, just stay in Brooklyn. Like, why are, what are you doing? Why are you going
back up there? Just go to Brooklyn, find some tattooed rocker, real cute vintage t-shirt wearing guy.
And if I can stay away from Nate. But yeah, I feel like I didn't really realize how much
she kind of maybe works some people's nerves until watching it back this time. But again, I also feel like
she's the only one that doesn't come from this rich background that like has to have a normal job
and you know is this artist that's just trying to make it and didn't really want to fit in up there
but that's what I thought was funky about Vanessa she like didn't care but like was there all the
time so that was interesting and funny to me but um but I think she's sweet I think she's like
she means well you know but at the at the time I wasn't like I'm like whoa she really like that
was kind of annoying but it's funny the way that people was
so worked up over characters.
Like, even myself, right?
Like, I get worked up over shows,
but then there's some characters for TV shows
that I get, like, protective over
when everyone shits on them.
Like, lately, euphoria, right?
That's been on and people are, like, going after Cassie,
and they're so mad at Cassie.
And I'm like, oh, I feel bad a little bit.
And then everyone's like, why do you feel bad?
It's like, I don't know, she's a fake character.
She's a fake character.
I feel bad because she's not real and everyone's shitting on her.
I know.
Well, that's what's funny.
Brad and I were like in Italy
and he's never seen the show to this day.
I'm like, I might have him.
I actually think you guys should come on
and do a rewatch with me.
Oh, I love that.
Because I just feel like you guys watched it.
You both like have very good
and interesting things to say.
And I just like how I just feel like we should do that.
Oh, we would love to do that.
Okay.
We're going to talk about that.
Yeah.
But Brad, this girl comes up to me in Italy and is like,
pissed off.
She's like, I can't believe Vanessa did that.
And I'm like, what?
I literally was.
like looking at her like are you crazy that i'm like you know that's a tv show it's fake yeah i'm not
her like my name is jessica but it's so funny because i think like george cluny said this a long
time ago i'm he because he was on er for years and he's like you're in someone's living room now
now it's different because people stream it but even so for hours it might not be an hour a week
it might be hour you know 30 hours over the weekend whatever you're in someone's living room
or in their personal space so they really feel like they get to know these
characters and like feel like, you know, they can be pissed at you or happy for you or sad.
So I do feel like that's part of it.
Like people are like, they think they know so much.
But I don't know.
Some people don't separate it.
Like it really is a TV show that's completely scripted and has nothing to do with really
me as Jessica other than like what I, the work I put into it, you know?
But it's funny because I really don't think people do that.
Yeah.
How do you think you would handle it if it was because people are still watching for the first time now, right?
but it's not like these shows now where, you know,
you got TikToks made constantly about it,
all the social media.
How do you think you guys would have handled social media
being the way it is now back then?
I personally feel like I don't know if the show
would have hit the way it did with everything.
And I don't mean that like because I know the new one.
I haven't watched it.
I wanted to get the podcast going before I watched the full new one
and give that full attention and not have it like blurred lines or anything.
And the cast looks amazing.
The fashion looks great.
Anyone I've talked to that watch it is loving it.
But I, for me, I feel like I'm interested to watch the new one because of that.
Because I just don't, we were a show about a blog when no social media existed.
So it was kind of like before this whole big thing in the world that like now everyone has
and exists on or is a big part of their life every, you know, day to day.
So I don't know how that would have been for us.
And I really truly think because we didn't have all of it, it helped boost our show a little bit more.
Yeah.
And I don't know if in that it helps the new one because they got to stay present with what's going on.
So I'm like so interested to see how they're doing it because it's a whole different game.
Yeah, I totally know what you mean.
And also there were other shows on at the time.
But now there are so many shows constantly coming out on all streaming services where this.
This one was just like week to week.
People are locked in.
How do you think it would have been socially for you guys?
Like going out, you know, people are, because now when people go places, they're taking
pictures of everyone everywhere.
And you said, you guys would love to go to like a bar and just hang out and just get away
from everything.
Yeah.
I think it would have been wild.
And we were like kids because I remember when they called and they told us we all
need to have publicists and then we needed to have security guards.
And we're like, wait, this is crazy.
Like, we're just literally getting off work and trying to have dinner.
And so I don't know
I think that would have been like really wild and crazy and scary.
Yeah.
It's interesting too just because, you know,
no matter what with the teen dramas,
there's always there's always people on the show,
you know, that end up dating in real life and like things like that.
And now I feel like when that happens on the shows that are on now,
everyone is so hyper aware of it even more than before.
Like I know we keep bringing up before you,
but it's just like you're so locked in to are these couples potentially dating and then if they break up
how does it affect the show yeah exactly how does it affect the show and so that was like a different
time where people knew but it wasn't like as they're just they weren't privy to as much information
about them that's what i mean yeah like you got there was paparazzi pictures yeah but they could
there wasn't inside stories or overhearing things or videos and things like that because you there was a level
of keeping things private because there just wasn't so many things out there in your face.
But I mean, we all, we, a lot of us did date.
You know what I mean?
Through the show.
And I remember when Ed and I were, we started dating and wanted to keep it super private.
And then finally, a couple months in, we had been together for quite a bit, to be honest,
before it came out.
And we were going to go to like a Knicks game.
And we like kind of went back and forth.
Like, should we go?
If we go, it's going to come out.
And then we kind of were like, listen, either we live this private life and never leave
our apartment or like we do it and just keep it you know keep our shit as private as we can but like
if without it gets out you know what I mean because it was either you stay home and and we were people
that liked going to sporting events and concerts and plays and stuff so it was like after a couple
months it got old I'm like we need to leave yeah you guys got to get out of the house you got to get out of
here yeah I was just looking I was just refreshing my memory on the dates because of basically
this show ran exactly when I was in high school so now I'm
Like, so for me, it was like, I was in high school in New Jersey.
This was in New York.
I'm watching.
But it was funny because I would watch and be like, I would, it never felt like they were in high school.
Yeah.
How old were you guys during the filming?
We were all in early 20.
Yeah.
You guys were 21 and you guys were like able to go out and stuff on the weekends and whatever.
Yeah.
That's what I think was weird.
Oh, sorry.
No, no, go ahead.
Go ahead.
That's what I think was weird is like we had went out once and then an article.
or something came out and we were like,
but we're old enough to drink.
When no one was doing anything crazy,
we just went out for a couple drinks on a Saturday night,
like any 21 or 22 year old would do in New York City.
And it was like, wow, because they were like,
I think because so many people that watched it were like,
wait, aren't they 16?
It was, it's just weird.
Yeah.
But it's like the 902 and oh, when I was growing up watching it.
These people were like 27 playing.
Yeah.
Like, oh, a sudden they were having like, I'm like, wait.
I saw her like one of the actors like 10 years later and I was like blown awake.
I'm like in my mind she was 17, but she really wasn't.
Yeah.
It was they got 28 year olds playing 16 year olds.
Like it's they, that's how they get around the working laws.
Right.
They can stay there for more than.
Yeah.
Wait, can we just talk about how good euphoria is?
So good.
You watch?
I do.
I do.
I'm not like caught up right now.
I mean, I've definitely watched the whole first season.
Yeah.
But I'm not caught up.
I don't even know.
what I'm at, but I'm like loving it.
I think the acting is so amazing and sick.
And something I really liked about the first season
is they like touch on so many different things
without, when I say shoving it in your face,
I feel like that's just TV, it's like just there for you.
But I like that they didn't make over certain things.
Like it was just, it was what it was.
I think sometimes when shows try to like push the gay
or push the trans or push this,
it's like, let it just be what it is,
because that is what it is.
And I kind of like that was a big part of why I like that.
It just normalizes everything.
Yeah.
And I think like that's why like Hunter.
You're like justice.
Yeah.
Normalized things.
Yes. Hunter is so Hunter Shafer is so cool because I, and she's done interviews about this where she's just like, I didn't want my character's whole storyline to revolve around that.
Like her being a trans character.
Like she's like I don't, did not need to that to be the whole thing.
So no, they do it so well the acting.
But it's also.
funny because that is also another show where they're all kind of in their early 20s.
And also like are playing are playing high school, high school kids.
Have you started the second season yet?
One episode.
But there's not that many out, right?
Or is it all out?
Oh, there's like six now, I think.
Yeah.
Oh, you got, I won that.
Yeah.
I can't spoil anything then.
But it is funny to see, and this is what I was talking about with Gossip Girl and whatever,
just like TikTok.
their my whole for you page on ticot is filled with just theories about euphoria it's like they pick apart
every single thing about this show that's a girl would have been like yeah they don't just let the show be
it's like oh my god we need to replay every single scene that has happened on this show and then you're
you're just like can't we just watch the damn show like can we just enjoy the show yeah because
everyone everyone has an opinion and can just like put it out there and that
that's also like great, but it also is like, I mean, yeah, you just let it breathe for a minute.
Yeah, yeah.
I bet I think, I bet none of the actors can even go on and listen and watch that because it would
be just like, one, take up too much time and two, what are you going to do?
You're not going back and reshooting the episode.
So exactly.
You know what I mean?
So.
But acting is so good.
And I'm really like, yeah, it's, it's rad.
They really are incredible.
Everyone's always like, Zendaya needs an Emmy.
She needs another Emmy.
And you're like, but all the.
other characters too.
You're like,
Zendaya's amazing,
but like everyone on that show is so good.
Yeah.
So Chase is on your latest episode that,
um,
that just came out.
Do you have like a list of other co-stars you would love to have?
Like,
have you reached out to a lot of people?
I'm,
because I feel like I would just love to hear like everybody.
Yeah.
Yeah, we've,
the list of,
that we have recorded that are still coming out is amazing and rad and wonderful.
And,
we still have a ton of episodes. So there's a bunch of different people that'll come on for rewatches.
There's some people that are, we're trying to figure out scheduling. Some people that we've reached
out with and waiting to hear back on. So there's like a lot to happen and go on. But it's been like
super fun and a really great like the first six episodes are like really rad and wonderful. And a lot of
information and a lot of just like laughs. I cried a couple times. But it's um speaking of like euphoria and you
were just talking about nominations, we get into that in a couple episodes because I keep watching.
And I think everyone really brought their A game to it and really like the characters are rad and
everyone did a great job. But there's just been so many scenes with Layton with Laird that I'm like,
yo, this girl is like bringing every emotion in a two page scene that I've like, I just am kind of,
we got a ton of, you know, people's choice and kids choice awards, which I like will always hold dear to
my heart. And I love that. I'm not like overlooking that by any means. But I'm like, I don't
maybe they just years ago didn't look at teen shows that way.
But I do think there were so many people that really brought a lot to their characters.
And I'm like a little, not shocked, but like a little bit, like that no one got any recognition from the show that ran for five years.
That really people love so much.
And not just Layton.
I think everyone did a good job.
But there was just a couple of scenes with her recently like yesterday.
That's why it's on the top of my head that I'm like, yo, this girl's like crazy good.
Yeah.
You could show some respect.
No, I know.
I think it's, it's so many of those shows, I feel like we're so good and just like the, I don't know,
like the critics just kind of like raise their nose at it a little bit, you know,
sometimes.
But it has been getting.
It's changed so much just because of the streaming, like now movies on Netflix can be nominated
for Oscars and everything.
So like things have just changed entirely.
Yeah.
Now in the life of Jessica, you've got a ton going on.
you said, you know, Canada, your partners plays hockey, you have a new baby, so much. Now,
you are also, I believe, going to be in, you know, you're back in the Orville. There's going to be a
season three. And it's been a while since this show has been, been anywhere. Girl, this show,
I'm like, we've been in space for like over four years.
Floating around, waiting to come back on air. But Seth is so amazing. Like, the,
just the storylines and what he touches on is like there'd be times I'd be reading a script and get to page
like 15 I'm like where is he going with this and that it ends up being some wild current issue that's
going on in the world and you kind of get to dig into it and and you know say more things because
it is in space and it is not like directly like you know I don't know it's just very brilliant how he
does it um and it's just it's also taking so much time because in post there's just so many
things they have to add. But I do think when it comes out, I do think it's going to make a lot of
noise because it's just something that hasn't really been done on TV before at this level with
with what he's all doing. But I'm excited for people to see it because it's also something,
if I'm honest, like I don't know if I was flipping through the channel. I would stop and watch
this space show that's, you know, takes place so far in the future. But when I read the scripts
and saw what he was doing, it's a totally different. It's like a game changer. So I'm,
I'm like hoping that if people wouldn't tune into that, they give it a chance because it really is really dope.
And people will be able to watch on Hulu in June, right?
June, yep.
Hulu and June.
That is all.
And I feel like also Hulu just is like really like going from like a Pam and Tommy show to something like the Orville.
They really, I think they have really good taste in what they pick up have such a variety.
You know, it's really.
I've always been a Hulu advocate.
Yeah.
I'm just saying.
Yeah.
I mean, we, Hulu, the original, the Hulu shows that we've been getting recently have been really, really good.
And yes, like you said, like a Pam and Tommy to this.
It's great.
Now, did you have to film?
I'm guessing you guys filmed obviously during pandemic.
Like, did you, had you just had your baby?
Did you film before having the baby?
Actually, what's funny is I left set to go home.
I was going to work on my scenes for the next day and they had called us off.
But at that time, this was the very beginning of all this.
So I thought maybe to have been two weeks to a month.
no one knew.
Yeah.
And all of a sudden, it was a couple months in that we weren't working.
I got pregnant.
And I was like, oh, my God, I'm going to go back to work like four months pregnant.
I don't know how we're going to do this.
And I fully got, had my full pregnancy, had my baby in June, or June, sorry, my baby in January,
my God.
Let's hope your baby doesn't go back and listen to this interview years from now.
I just turned one, January 11.
But I had her in January.
they went back to work and then I had my maternity leave till March.
So they literally filmed for a couple months without me, everything without me.
So when I got back in March, I basically just like hit the ground running with my baby in my trailer, breastfeeding in between scenes.
But I basically had my whole pregnancy during the pandemic, which was honestly in a weird way, the best time to be pregnant.
Yeah.
It just sat out.
It worked out for you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That is very true.
Well, we're very excited for that to come back.
It is really cool.
Like you said, Seth Bufarlane is an absolute chief.
So looking forward to that.
And XOXO with Jessica Zor.
