Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Monday. Hopefully everyone had an amazing weekend.
Starting point is 00:00:30 We are over Zoom today, but we will be back in person tomorrow for Wednesday's recording. Francesca, how are we? doing how was your weekend fantastic i mean i'm not going to lie we've we've been moving we moved a couple things around and it's just nothing's made me happier i just got an extra nice i just got next i just texted my whole family from the other room i'm not leaving yet could be happier um and actually joe's leaving tomorrow so that that that is is nice as well but i mean it's just you've been here Noah is a Cape Cod guy. Like, just nothing beats it.
Starting point is 00:01:09 It's just like, I woke up this morning and almost shed a tear being like, oh, my God, it's so beautiful outside. It really is a beautiful magical place. It's just the best. Oh, my God. It was just like a beautiful. The moon, it's almost a full moon. The moon's been stunning. The sunsets have been stunning.
Starting point is 00:01:30 It's just my dogs are here. It's heaven on earth, truly. Why don't you just move there? Twist my arm. My mom, yesterday and my mom, I was like, oh, it's been so nice having you here. Don't you want to stay for the rest of the summer? Like, yeah, Bob, I was love to stay here. Okay, stay the rest of the week.
Starting point is 00:01:50 I'll come, all right? What are we doing anyway? Nothing. You want to come fly up tomorrow morning. Oh, my God. Don't even tap me. Not even doing. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:02 We'll talk off one. Okay. Anyways, my weekend was great. No complaints. I had a beautiful dinner out one night. My dad's continued to cook amazing meals. We went out to a couple bars Friday and Saturday that were a ton of fun and quite literally not a single complaint. So that sounds like 10 out of 10. Can't be better. Can't be better. How was your weekend? It was great. I would also give it a 10 out of 10 weekend. I saw a couple films. I made, I made some food. I'm not waiting until the end of the week to talk about.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I was going to say I would like to hear, I would like you to tell your stories about both movies. Okay. So I saw Oppenheimer and Barbie, loved Barbie. I thought it was very funny. I thought Ryan Gosling was really. Did you guys watch Full Circle? Just kidding. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:02:59 See, you know what's funny is that you robbed everyone of that joke. Right. Now they don't even know what you're saying. No, no, they're kind of enough. We talked about it. We talked about it, but the real context isn't there because you robbed everybody. Yeah. Would have been even better. So, yeah, loved Barbie.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I thought it was very cute, funny. I thought it was like exactly what I thought it was going to be. Like, yeah, I thought it was a cute movie. Was it the best movie I've ever seen? No, it wasn't. But I thought it was really good. Did you cry? I laughed a lot.
Starting point is 00:03:32 There was a moment I cried, but it was. wasn't at the part where I think everybody cries. I think everybody cries at the Billy Island. I haven't seen it, but the Billy Island. No, I didn't cry at that. And I'm going to be honest, thought we could have done without that part. I don't know. I haven't seen it.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Like, didn't necessarily, in my opinion, I'm probably going to get shit for this. I didn't think it like, because it's a movie. Like, first, I was like, this is now a montage of people that are not in the, like, I don't know. to me, it felt like it was a little out of place. I understand the sentiment, though. I thought it was a beautiful sentiment. Whatever. But I cried, I don't want to give anything away because you haven't seen it.
Starting point is 00:04:16 It's okay. You know, you know when you just, you know when you know you've just waited too long. It's like I can't put those barriers up anymore because it's my own fault. So share whatever you would like to share. There was just a moment where America Ferreira and her daughter in the movie, like, give each other a nice hug and embrace. And that brought me to tears because, you know, she's like one of the, her daughters, like a little, you know, rascal, like doesn't want anything to do with the mom in the beginning, you know? And then she's like, yeah, yeah. So that was, I thought was really cute.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I saw Oppenheimer. Here's the thing. Was it interesting? Yes. Was it bad? No. Phenomenal acting. Fantastically made movie.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Incredibly boring? Yes. Like, so boring. For me. For me. I understand not for everybody else. It wasn't boring for everybody else. For me,
Starting point is 00:05:24 was incredibly boring. Not saying it was bad by any means. I just was a little bored. The whole time. reason I didn't like school. You were bored the whole movie? Not the whole movie, but majority. I mean, the beginning I was locked in.
Starting point is 00:05:43 I was like, cool. And then it gets to a point where you're just like, all righty. And then they set the bomb off. And it's the pretend bomb. It's not even the real bomb. And then there's a whole like hour and 20 minutes after that. Listen, call me dumb.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Call me a low IQ. Call me any of those things. Was I bored by this movie? Yes. I was painfully bored by this film. Once again, not saying it was bad. Really great, you know, cast. Just not for me.
Starting point is 00:06:23 You know, Christopher Nolan, acclaimed director. He does a good job. I love so many Christopher Nolan movies, which is why I was like, I want to see this. I love the Proceed, The Dark Night, Inception. Dunkirk was great. Yeah. This one just didn't tickle my fancy per se.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Yeah. My whole fan watched Intercellar yesterday. Again. All great movies. I will never watch this movie ever again. I just won't. Felt like I'm sitting in a classroom for three hours, which I don't like.
Starting point is 00:06:58 And I just think that, like, I'll be honest. I think, and we all know you very well. Three hours, I think for quite literally any movie. It's just too long for you. It is. Like, it could be, I think it could be like the most riveting movie. No matter what, some, I mean, yes, do three hour, like, action-packed movies exist? Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:23 But with a movie that long, there's always going to be a lull period at some point. And then if they lose you at that, it's very, very, very hard to be pulled back in. And I just think you were lost. Once it started to lull, was like, I can't get back in. And I'm so shocked by the people saying they want to go see it again and again in a theater. Who, like, I'm like, who would put themselves through that again to sit, Noah?
Starting point is 00:07:48 I want to see it again. This man right here. And you know what? I appreciate your brain because my brain can't do it. No, but I'm not pretending. There are plenty of parts where it's like, I'm not a scientist. I don't know what that. means like I don't know what like they're actually saying but I'm still like fascinated by
Starting point is 00:08:07 everything like I couldn't follow the what they were like writing on the board but right I don't think anybody could unless you're a physicist yeah it's not about that it was just about like the story itself after a while I was like all right we know what happened here what did you uh I don't know What do you think of the last 20 minutes? Brian, I texted you this and I said I wasn't going to say this publicly. And you just blew up my spot. Look, if you're going to talk about the full movie, this is by far the funniest part. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Here's what happened. First of all, I've never fallen asleep in a movie before. And I fell asleep in this one at least twice. Okay. The movie theater itself was so fucking hot. There was no AC. I'm shocked you even stayed for as long as you did because no AC, like you go to a movie theater in a sweatshirt in the summer because you know there's
Starting point is 00:09:25 going to be a little bit of a chill. That's that. That would, if that happened to me and I walked in and there was no AC, I think I would have said, I'll try again tomorrow. I'll go to a different theater. I was fully bundled up and we sat down and I was like, took off my sweatshirt. I was like, it's going to get colder in here, right?
Starting point is 00:09:43 And we were like, yeah, it's definitely, it's definitely going to get colder. It was so fucking hot. And I, I don't know. Something hit me and I just got up and sprinted out of the theater. I didn't, I didn't say word. I just got up and sprinted. out of the theater. I couldn't do it anymore.
Starting point is 00:10:07 I just couldn't do it anymore. I had to get out. Wait, so you left early. Noah, I sprinted out of that theater without saying a word. And Marty was like, and then, you know, a couple minutes later, he's right behind me.
Starting point is 00:10:22 He was like, so we're done in there? And I was like, I am done in there. I can't believe you didn't tell. I was like, I am done in there. I'm sweating profusely. I want to leave so bad. We got to go. You missed the final scene.
Starting point is 00:10:38 No, well, I saw Emily Blunt's part and I saw Matt Damon's part. And then it got to, it got to Rami Malick. And I was like, I'm out of here. I was like, I don't care what Einstein says at the end. I don't care. I just don't care. I don't. I do not care.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Get me out of here. And I ran. You would have thought I stole something. the way that I ran out of that movie. I couldn't do it anymore. I was sweating. I was like ripping my clothes out of off when I got out of the theater.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I couldn't do it anymore. I was like, free me from these shackles of this movie. Ticks in the Office is sponsored by Better Help. Starting point is 00:12:56 I'll be honest, this is one of my favorite like Ria stories in a little while. I wish I was in the theater. Pictureing you just like, I'm like picturing you like at this point, I mean, the snacks are done. It's your two hours and 40 minutes and you got no snacks left. But like, I'm picturing you like having popcorn on your lap and just being like, like popcorn goes flying. You like sprint out of the street. Mind you at like an hour and 45 in, I went and got movie nachos.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Which is your thing because I was so bored. I was like, I need to get more food to keep me awake because I am rapidly falling to sleep here. And it was early. I went to go see the movie at 6 p.m. Yeah. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Did you partake in any smoking before Oppenheimer? No. Oh, because I was going to say maybe that, is that a lie? That was a weird answer. Weird answer. Because maybe that's why it was fine. Here's the thing. I'm saying no because not really.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Like I went to and then got like nervous. So it was it was like a, it was like the smallest little, you know what I mean? So you thought about it and that went. Like it was like the smallest little hit anybody could take and I didn't even inhale it. So I'm not even going to blame it on that. because I don't think I actually, like, that actually did anything. Now, maybe we can blame it on that, but I don't think that was the case.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I think no matter what state I saw this film in, it wasn't for me. It wasn't for me. And then so after I left the movie, I typed in Oppenheimer boring on Twitter because I wanted to see how many other people were saying that it was boring. And it was such, like, a mixed crowd of people being like Oppenheimer. was the most boring movie I've ever seen. And then like other people being like, if you thought Oppenheimer was boring,
Starting point is 00:15:09 then I want nothing to do with you. And you're the lowest of the low, dumb people on the planet. And I was like, if I am, so be it. If I'm a low brow, that's who I am. Jeff D. Lowe, Jeff D. Lowe hit this with a hundo at a hondo. This was a perfect movie.
Starting point is 00:15:27 100 out of 100 on the Jeff D. Lowe scale. that makes sense. It doesn't make sense for me to give it 100 out of 100. I also said that for Jeff. It wasn't a bad movie though. That's what I'm trying to say though. It was like, it just wasn't for me.
Starting point is 00:15:43 That and boring are very different things. They're very different. Well, no, I don't know if I would agree with that. Because like, if you're bored, that's not, then it's not, it's not, it's not. I personally, what I'm saying is I personally didn't enjoy it because I found it very boring. But what I say it was bad, I'm not going to say a movie that
Starting point is 00:16:00 was clearly made phenomenally and has a great cast and people love it is a bad movie it's just not that is like bad acting bad script yeah like you know like bad graphics like it wasn't bad it just was painfully boring I feel like it was like I don't know like I feel you it wasn't boring for me it was boring Christopher Nolan's like the last director like people would say is born because he like the music and everything like it's just constantly going like it didn't feel like it was three hours for me well i'm so happy for you look isn't that a beautiful experience for you not everyone had the same experience and that's just life everybody doesn't like the same things that everyone does have the same experience and for me i wanted to i said there there's two movies in my life that
Starting point is 00:16:49 i said if i want to go to sleep i'm going to put them on one being passion of the christ that we watched in high school and that they made us watching scripture class and i said if i'm ever trying to go to sleep at night and I can. I'm going to put on Passion of the Christ. Sorry, Mom. And two, Oppenheimer. If I can't fall asleep at night, I will put on up. Which is objectively hilarious to put on a movie about the Adam bomb before you go to
Starting point is 00:17:12 best. Yeah. Also, there's like loud noise that sparkling. The thing is, you wait all for this boom. Yeah. That barely goes boom. Okay. What did you want?
Starting point is 00:17:23 You wanted to see the destruction. You wanted to see it in the right theater. You wanted to see the actual people die from the bomb? Not that. You didn't even hear the music. You didn't even hear the boom. You heard slight boom. Rio watched this like I watched Titanic where I'm like, just get me to the end where they all die.
Starting point is 00:17:41 That's not what I was looking for. That's not it. With or without the bomb, I thought it was so fucking boring. If you keep, if you keep riling me up, I'm going to talk about how even more boring I thought. Because I'm actually holding back on what I think about this movie. And all the freaks that love it so much. All right. I'm going too far.
Starting point is 00:18:03 This is when you start to poker and she just goes in a direction that in 10 minutes, she'll be like, I don't even know why I did that. Yeah, I'm now heading in a direction that I don't even mean and I'm going to regret. So let's move past, fast forward, stop Barbie on Saturday. I do want to bring up one thing about the movie, too, because we discussed this and Matt wrote a blog about it. But you texted us because, you know, Einstein is a part of the movie. movie and you're like, guys, like, when did you think Al Brineside died? And my guest was like, I don't know, like late 1800s or like it's. And I was shocked when you said,
Starting point is 00:18:42 he died. Yes. It's just a just a crazy thought. And then it became, you know, Mara wrote about it. And people are debating on the internet. People are like, how do you not know that? Like, what do you do? It's so crazy. How do you not know that? let me tell you something. I asked my mother, very smart woman. I didn't ask my dad because my dad definitely knows my mom. My mom, I was like, well, why don't you think I inside died? She's like, I don't know, late 80s, early 1900s. I was like, nope. Everybody we asked said the same thing. People will just say anything to call him stupid. Like you know him, I know him. We all know. He's not stupid. I just, I think like people have this like early perception of him.
Starting point is 00:19:27 when he first started that was like, oh, I'm goofy. Like, whatever. He's not dumb by any means. Yeah. Just honest. And I was like, I was getting mad for him that people were like, oh, you're so dumb. How'd you not know this? This is basic knowledge.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Every, maybe we're surrounded by dumb people because. Maybe we're just a bunch of dumbdums on this time. Everybody I asked said the same exact thing. They were like, and other people that went and saw the movie texted us, not knowing like before he wrote that blog and not knowing we had said that, being like, I may sound dumb, but I had no idea Albert Einstein was, I was like, same. I had the same exact thought. But yeah, that was shocking. I will say, that part, I was like, this guy, Albert, shocked to see him here. But yeah, then saw Barbie on Saturday, which was lifting me right back up because I really enjoyed Barbie.
Starting point is 00:20:26 And what else did I do? Bright colors. Jokes. Yeah. Really caught your attention. People talking in doll terms, you know, not much to follow. Yeah, exactly. Well, as of one third the length, how long was Barbie?
Starting point is 00:20:41 Two hours? Yeah. But I will say this, like, it's what I thought it was. Like, it wasn't anything groundbreaking or, like, the best movie I've ever seen. Like, I just thought it was a cute, fun movie. Yeah. And that's also. Totally cool.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Yeah, everything's totally cool. Am I regretting that long run? I just went on about Oppenheimer? Maybe. But that's all right. Moving on. No, did you go to Cape Cod? Did I go to Cape Pad?
Starting point is 00:21:16 Yeah. Oh, yeah. I was in the Cape for the weekend. How was it? It was nice. It was only my parent, or I saw my sister for a second, but didn't really, it was just kind of a chill weekend, didn't do anything crazy. I've started to, what's so funny?
Starting point is 00:21:34 I just have an, I have an unreal picture to send Fran once you're done talking about your weekend. Okay. Oh, okay. No, I was going to say, I'm starting to get into the extra dirty martini game. And I don't know, do those have more alcohol in them? Because I was definitely feeling it like the first night. And then my mom got one the next night and she was like, they're just, they're just alcohol. thick. Like there's no, there's no, I mean, obviously the extra dirty you're putting more of the olive
Starting point is 00:22:05 juice in it, which cuts it a little bit or like, you know, gives it that saltier taste, which I love. Yeah. But I mean, it's just a cup of vodka and, and vermouth. Yeah, because I was really feeling it, but I'm a fan. It's a hilarious commentary. So this whole martini thing, like, it's more alcohol. Yeah. But it's just so good because it's, it's just like you're drinking olive juice where like I just chug
Starting point is 00:22:33 it, you know? Yeah, well, definitely don't do that, but they are delicious. Yeah. Been there. This weekend, we were with our friends and we were playing games
Starting point is 00:22:48 and at the movies, you know those tattoos, like those fake tattoos, that you had when you were a kid. Yes. So they had them at the movies and we were like, oh, we have to buy some of these. Like when's the last time you bought a fake tattoo?
Starting point is 00:23:03 We have to buy some of these. Are the ones like the ones that you use with just like water? Yeah, just like a watercloth. Yeah, okay, temporary tattoos. Yeah, temporary tattoos. So we buy a bunch of these and we were like, oh, we got to put these on later, blah, blah, blah. So we were drinking, having a good time all night.
Starting point is 00:23:22 And towards the end of the night, we got a couple drinks in, you know, and we're playing games and we're like, all right, the winner of this game gets to decide where we're going to put these tattoos on everyone. And the winner gets to decide where everyone puts these tattoos. Yeah. So obviously, Matt wins the games. He wins every fucking game.
Starting point is 00:23:44 It's incredible. But wins the games and we do these temporary tattoos, Fran. This picture of a boss is deciding you. I'm hesitant to share it on the internet. I'm patiently. I got my phone open. I'm patiently waiting to share it on the internet because this picture is a picture of two people that are trailer park, toxic, break up every other day.
Starting point is 00:24:10 I drive a beat up probably 2011 Nissan Ultima with trash in my car. And like this is the definition of this picture. I'm dying here. It's so good, but so bad. Oh, you know. You got three kids at home in this picture. Yeah, I got three kids at home. I'm sucking. I'm sucking dick for whatever drugs he's got. That's the definition of this. picture. It is so bad, but so good. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Like the whole the whole like background story that you could give that picture is is very fun. We were going off the whole night after giving like every every situation. We were like, this is the most toxic couple you could find is this picture.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Now I'm not going to share it on the internet because that would be too clear. So if you want to hear this, you got to go to the YouTube if you want to see the picture because I'll show it like this. But I'm not, we can't, we cannot make a video. No, no, no, it's fair. Quick.
Starting point is 00:25:42 That's so fun, though. Oh, man. It was fun, but, oh, my God. I forgot I had a tram stamp yesterday. And I was going into bed and I was like, oh, my God, I have to scrub this off. Like, I just, I can't have this any longer. But it was all fun, fun games, great weekend.
Starting point is 00:25:59 And I apologize to all of those out there that love Oppenheimer. How about this? You're just a bit smarter than I am. Yeah. You know what? You win some, you lose some. That's all it is. Yep.
Starting point is 00:26:11 All right. Let's get into the topics for today. At least, I hate Barbie. No, at least. Thank God. Actually, when I was leaving Barbie, I was like, thank God. I really enjoyed that. Yep.
Starting point is 00:26:22 because if I walked out of there and didn't like Barbie, we'd have to look at myself and be like, all right, you didn't like Oppenheimer and you didn't like Barbie. What do you like? What do you like anything? So I actually was relieved walking out of Barbie. I was like,
Starting point is 00:26:39 I really enjoyed that. All right. We're going to be talking about Cardi B. Had a drink thrown at her. And so she retaliated by throwing a microphone, some drama with Real Housewives of Miami. You know more about this than I do. Lenny proposed to his mistress,
Starting point is 00:26:59 and that's all over Instagram. Teresa Judice called Sophia Vergara the rudest celebrity she's ever met. Jeremy Allen White reunites with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin, and Harry Styles revealed an Olivia tattoo on his leg while he vacations in Italy, and Olivia Wild is also in Italy. So we'll dive into that.
Starting point is 00:27:16 And we have a great game of trivia. So let's get into the topics. Everyone thinks about the day that they'll eventually get to retire and enjoy all the freedom that comes with it. But who says we have to wait decades before we get to kick back and chill out? Take advantage of that free will and spend the summer chilling like a retiree and pair those moments with Corsight, the beard that's made to chill. Pair as well with that retired state of mind, the mountains on the bottles of cans, even your blue when your beer is cold so you know when it's time to grab another. It's perfect for all your summer plans or lack thereof. no judgment here. I'm trying to live this lifestyle as much as possible, but Corse Light is great
Starting point is 00:27:55 for throwing in the cooler, heading to the beach, maybe a Saturday night out, hanging out with some friends. It can pair well with truly any summer activity. Get Cors Light delivered straight to your door with Drizzly or Instacart by going to Coorslight.com slash chicks and always celebrate responsibly from Coors Brewing Company, Golden Colorado. Cheers. Thank you guys. The world's most refreshing podcast.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Yes. All righty. Let's start off with Cardi B. Oh, fuck. I wanted to talk about something in the beginning, but I guess I'll wait. Just do it right now. We're going to start the topics. I'm going to start it off like this. Fine. All right. Yeah. I started suits on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Okay. because everyone and their mother has started suits because Netflix's like really pumped it out. It really, it really has been. The amount of people like, I think I've been in four or five like casual conversations with people recently that have just brought up like, hey, if you watch suits? And I'd be like, no. They're like, I just started it. It's really good. Like I think it's people are watching suits right now.
Starting point is 00:29:12 It's fantastic. It's great. Like, highly recommend to the both of you. Both of you would love it. It's really good. I am upset that I can't watch it until tonight. Like, I woke up thinking about suits, which, thank God, because I was falling into a deep sex in the city hole, and I cannot stand Carrie right now in this season I'm watching.
Starting point is 00:29:35 And I was really getting frustrated. So I'm glad that I'm pivoting away. You needed a little bit of a break. How much did you watch? Have suits? Yeah. I'm on episode eight. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Okay. Started yesterday. Good 10. eight episodes. It's really good. I really enjoyed it. But that's all I had to say. I feel like this is a weekly watch report thing.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Yeah, weekly watch reports on Friday, so. Well, okay, but here's the thing is that this is what my problem with weekly watch report was in the first place, was that sometimes when we watch stuff over the weekend or during the week, it's fun to talk about when it's fresh on the brain. Then when you get to weekly watch report, you're maybe not as passionate as you were when you first started it. And now is my problem with weekly watch report in the first place. I'm not, I'm very much not opposed to a little chatter on a Monday about what he's watched on the weekend.
Starting point is 00:30:24 And then by the time Thursday comes around, there's four more days to talk about. I watch a lot and I have to get it off my chest because I'm feeling passionate about suits. Love it. After the first episode, I was like, I love these guys. I love it. I love it so much. Megan Markle, good in the show. You know?
Starting point is 00:30:46 Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's what that's what. put her name out there. If she would have just stuck it out a couple more years, didn't marry into the royal family, she could potentially be getting more fame from this now that it's reaching this, you know? I don't think she has to worry about fame.
Starting point is 00:31:02 No, no, I'm saying. I don't know if you get more fame than marrying into the royal family. That's like as big as a gift. No, no, not more than the royal family, but she would have got a little boost. Oh, no, I mean, she did. Oh, who was this girl in suits? Yeah, I think she was gearing up to kind of leave regard.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Like the show, I don't know. I've heard the show is very good at the beginning and it starts to. Well, there's nine seasons. So in any show, I feel like, any show. I think I heard up to like, I heard up to like season seven is great. Yeah, yeah. Even that's too many seasons. Like, I don't want to lock myself in for that much.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Well, then you're fucking missing out because let me tell you, suits is great and I'm learning a lot about the law. All right. Oh, you're not bored? I'm actually, here's the thing. I'm not. I'm not bored by. I'm interested in suits.
Starting point is 00:31:49 These guys, they get shit done. Opi. Oh, Oppenheimer didn't get anything done. Appie. At home. He got shit done. He got shit done. You know?
Starting point is 00:31:59 Yeah. I would say so. I would say he got more shit done than them. Well, that's fine. We're not comparing the two things. Yeah, you know, one's real life. One's fiction. I'm actually pretty convinced people are pretending to love Oppenheimer as much as they do.
Starting point is 00:32:13 I am. I am convinced people are. Because here's the thing, if you peel back the layers, if you really get people talking about it at first, because I've witnessed this, I witnessed this. At first, people are like, yeah, I loved it. Oh, my God, it was so good. And then you start saying your real thoughts and then their real thoughts are coming out. And they start going, yeah, you know, it was really long and it was pretty boring at parts. And you just peel back the layers and people become more and more honest because they're afraid to give their opinion about history because sometimes history could be boring, even though it's the atomic bomb.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Oh, man. What are you going to do about it? Yeah, that's just, I want Fran to see the movie. People are going to love the movie. Yeah, to be honest, I think I will love this movie. This movie is right up the Mariano family out. Like my family fucking loves movies like this. But do you love movies like this?
Starting point is 00:33:15 Most of the time, yes. Fran, watch the movie and then get back to me. I know, I gotta go see it. Look, I have. Because I think there's a cat, I think there's a couple categories here. People truly love and are interested in this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:31 People who are fake interested in this and pretend to love this movie so that the other people who are actually really interested in this, don't get mad at the people who are not really interested in this. So. And then the people who are honest and are like, yeah, it was, it was fantastically made, but it was really fucking boring.
Starting point is 00:33:52 I'm waiting to see, I'm waiting to see it because my brother has, he bought tickets, I guess they're like technically next week for the Lincoln Center IMAX, like the big, the big papa. The 70 millimeter? The 70 millimeter, yeah. He got the tickets weeks ago. So I've been waiting to go see it with him when we go, when we go do, when we go do that. I don't know. It's also like an age range thing.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Like maybe for more of our generation, it's different. Like, I can with 100% certainty guarantee that my father will love that movie. Like he has not seen it, but I know he will love it. So I think, you know, sometimes it's like. It can be an age-rage thing. I have no, I have, I have no pre-bite. Like, I'm going to go in with an open mind. And if at the two-hour mark, I'm like, like, I, it's possible.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Anything's possible. I'm with you on that three hours is just too long. For like, for me, I start to lose interest as well, no matter what it is. Like, and that is, unfortunately, the also, like, the phone addiction. like I that's too long where then I start to get antsy I'm like I haven't looked at my phone in two hours like that's you know that's it's hard for me on that's a different conversation about being I think that that's a good way they judge like if how many times like do you even think about like checking your phone in the movie I'll admit I did it a couple times. Once I got to an hour and a half. Yeah. I was like I got to check my phone to see what time it is.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Or just like if you start scrolling if you start like going on apps you know that's I never. go on apps during a movie. I'm never on apps, but if I catch myself checking what time it is and the time in between my last checks has been like 20 minutes, that's when I know I'm in trouble.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah. Like if I look the second time, because I'm like, oh, how much time is past since the last time I looked and it's only been like 20 minutes and it's like, okay, yeah, you clearly used to do that in school. I would just stare at the clock and play a game in my head where I'm like, all right, in five minutes,
Starting point is 00:36:07 we're 20 minutes away from class being over. The watch pot never boils so that, you know, is what they say. I fear I've gone too far. This really is it just an Oppenheimer episode. I fear I've gone too far because it's not like. You sound like Oppenheimer. We've not gone far enough. Killing Murphy was great.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Look, you're not like, it's, I don't really think exactly. crazy. You know, this is how you, this is how you felt about the movie. Just, yeah, I think we move on. I think we move on. All right. Let's move on. Yes. I've gone too far. Let's move on. All right. Cardi B. She got a drink thrown at her and she retaliate while she was on stage, which people can't seem to stop doing. Not doing stuff at people. It's just a thing that people are doing these days. And Cardi B retaliated by not even hesitating, just fucking chocked her mic in her, which can't blame her you can't blame her you're heated in that moment somebody throws something at you and you have something in your hand that thing is probably getting flung it was only a matter of time before somebody fought back in the battle of concert goer versus performer it's an ongoing battle it's been going on for weeks now people throwing shit doing weird shit is only a matter of time before something happened and there's
Starting point is 00:37:35 you know, you can have an item thrown at you. Sometimes they're weird. Like the pink thing was weird. Obviously, the cell phone for BB Rex that fucking sucked because it like actually really hurt her. But there's something that's just even more degrading about somebody throwing a fucking drink at you. Like that like that feels like just an insult to you. And I know I saw a lot of people on Twitter being like, she was lip syncing like all this stuff. I'm like, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:38:04 What does it matter? It doesn't matter. You know how many people fucking lip sync? Like, it just, it is what it is. And even if she was, like, you don't get to throw a drink at her. And there's just something, like I said, where, like, and it was just a windup where that drink went flying. And that just, that's the worst. I know we talked about it, Rio, when you were saying there's, like, a level of embarrassment, perhaps, that comes with this when you're on stage and somebody throws something at you.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Times that by 10. is somebody's throwing a fucking drink at you. Mm-hmm. Absolutely. So did you see this Lana Del Rey thing that she wrote, and I don't know when she posted this, but she posted this on her Instagram, okay? I'm not going to read the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Okay. But it starts off and it says, question for the culture. Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camilla, Cardi B, Kalani, and Nikki Minaj and Beyonce have had number ones, with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, fucking cheating, etc. Can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love,
Starting point is 00:39:13 even if the relationship is not perfect or dancing for money or whatever I want without being crucified or saying that I'm glamorizing abuse? And then it goes on to like talk about, I'm fed up with female writers and all singers saying that I glamorize abuse when in reality I'm just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we're all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world. and then she goes on about, you know, all of this. So she named all of these artists.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Yeah. Doge Cat, canceled last week for going after her fans. Ariana Grande, canceled last week after the whole thing with Ethan Slater. Carri B. gets drink thrown at her. Kalani breaks her leg. Nikki Minaj, house, got, fucking swatted. Every person she named, they're just being crossed off the list right now, things that are happening to them in the past week.
Starting point is 00:40:08 And so now everyone's like, oh my God. She called her a witch? Yeah, or like the Delano Del Rey just curse all of these people. And everyone's like, no, Beyonce can't be touched. Beyonce can't be touched. But all these people she named have had stuff happen to them in the last week, which is crazy. So now this is going around where people are like, oh, my God, she's cursing everybody. Damn.
Starting point is 00:40:32 That's pretty wild. I didn't know she did that. I mean, Landa L'O Rai does get a lot of flack for her lyrics more than I feel like most people do. So I understand like where she's coming from, but I didn't see that. But those names being the one she named. Thank God for Beyonce. Beyonce's doing nothing but absolutely killing the Renaissance tour right now. Beyonce's last on the list.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Yeah, well. Anything could happen. Do not put that energy out there. Anything could happen. No, I know. But yeah, that's crazy. Cardi be fed up. I don't blame her.
Starting point is 00:41:03 No. Did you guys think about going to see Beyonce? I met life this weekend. I wasn't here, so. Yeah, I thought about it weeks ago, like, if I thought I was going to be here as well. But I was also not in New Jersey. It looked like a good show. I did look great.
Starting point is 00:41:22 I mean, I mean, every show looks awesome. Moving on, let's talk quickly about Harry Styles and this tattoo that he seemed to flash to the world. It says Olivia on his. thigh. He's on vacation in Italy, spotted in a bathing suit. And so people are talking about this tattoo. And now, Olivia Wilde is also in Italy. Now it's, but it's like, because it's hard to tell how long, it's impossible really to know how long he's had this tattoo. It is, you know, like it's, it's high up on his thigh. It's not often we see his thigh that high. It's not, you know, it's not often that he's barren at all
Starting point is 00:42:05 like he has been on this trip. And, you know, I think we're all thinking of the one, the one picture where his bathing suit is very, very low. I was confused. Did you see that one? No. Oh, what? I'm not a pervert.
Starting point is 00:42:24 I mean, it was impossible not to see. It was all over the internet. Even I saw it. I mean, what? I saw a bathing, having pictures in a bathing suit. Yeah, but there was like There was one that was just
Starting point is 00:42:37 Maybe I did see it Very low This one? Oh, yeah, I saw that I didn't really have like a reaction to it We're a centimeter away from From other things showing here I wasn't like shocked by this photo
Starting point is 00:43:01 Like I like meaning like I feel like We've seen Harry like that before Is that how makes sense? Maybe you have. I don't know how many times we've seen him like that. I don't know. I wasn't like too shocked seeing that, I guess. Well, I will disagree with you on that because it was a little bit of a flutter.
Starting point is 00:43:24 He, but back to what you were saying is like he's been on tour, obviously. So we've seen his tour outfits and he's normally in pants. So who knows how long he's had this Olivia tattoo. I also love that people are alluding to the One Direction song, Olivia, being like, maybe it's just, maybe it's the one, about the one direction song. I'm sure it's really about Olivia Wilde. I feel like, and we've had this conversation before about like tattoo people, once you just reach that certain level and you're just like a tattoo person, you're getting everything tattooed on you. You know, I think it loses a level of significance. If you're somebody who has, does not have a lot of tattoos or has no tattoos and gets like a name or something like that, I think it's way more serious than somebody who has a ton of tattoos who puts a name on them.
Starting point is 00:44:22 It's like, oh, just slap it on there with something else. You know, it's like not that serious. He also has the Italian word for breakfast tattooed on his leg underneath that. So tattoo guys will get anything. Yeah, exactly. Like, it's like, oh. And I also feel like tattoo guys feel is like when you get a name, it's like a moment of life that they will remember forever.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Right. You know, it's like, well, even though it didn't work out, like I cherish that time I had with Olivia. Now she's tattooed on my leg. I'm sure that his next girlfriend's going to love that. I don't think his next girlfriend's going to care. Yeah, you just, you don't care. That's something you can't care about.
Starting point is 00:45:01 Like, he probably has multiple tattoos for, multiple women. I don't really think it matters because like I said, tattoo guys, that's just the name of the game. If you're attracted to a man that's covered in tattoos, that's something you just got to accept that there could be some names on there that you don't like. If he had no tattoos, then all of a sudden there's just one name. Like, yeah, sure. You'd be like, okay. Or maybe if you're like a year into a relationship and he hasn't gotten your name tattooed on you yet, then you're like, well, hello, when's my turn? Like, you've got everybody else on there. And I think when if somebody is like going to date Harry Stiles, I think they know, they know he's a tattoo guy.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Mm-hmm. So it's interesting, though, because now Olivia Wilde is in Italy. So it's like, are they there to get, did he just get that touch? Is she there and he just got it? I don't think so. I think they're in separate places. Harry's with his, with his good pal, James Corrid. And they're on vacay.
Starting point is 00:45:59 So it's always disappointing when you see Harry Styles really hanging out. with James Corden. Yeah, I mean, clearly he's, he's very, very nice to his celebrity friends. Yeah. He treats his celebrity friends really well. Not the little people. No. All right, moving on, Jeremy Allen White and his ex-wife, Addison Timlin, were seen together, hugging, embracing. They were at their kids' soccer game. It was nice to see. I don't think it means like anything. Like, I don't think it means they're back together. But it was nice to see them being cordial. I know. I was going to say the same thing. If anything, all it did was make me, I looked at the pictures and went, oh, that's nice.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Like, I just, I just hope that that's the reality of the situation because it felt like maybe there was some drama there, of course. And if they have found a way to be able to be, you know, civil and see each other and be able to be at events for their child, then that is a good thing. It's like, you know, it's the same as, I mean, it's not the same. because different level. But when you see, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sedgaz
Starting point is 00:47:08 at like their kids soccer games or Kanye and Kim, they can hang out in the same vicinity because of their children. So hopefully they are at, they're at that level. Yeah, I hope that for them too.
Starting point is 00:47:26 All right. You were talking about, I don't watch for a hospital as Miami. So I'm not really sure. sure about this. I know it's crazy because people are freaking out about it, but I'm not completely aware of the level. Let me give me some background on this. So last season, Real House is in Miami. Lisa and her husband Lenny would be married for quite some time. They've two kids. They've had some ups and downs for sure. But and Lenny's always been kind of,
Starting point is 00:47:53 I don't know, I've just always found him to be a little creepy. And people always point to years ago, they used to like have these parties where they had all these girls there, like all these crazy things. So last season, Lenny just, what seemed to be out of the blue, leave Lisa. He got caught on a hot mic situation recording. He was like talking to his friend. He was like, I'm leaving her. Like, I couldn't. He's done. And he immediately is with this younger woman, model in Miami. And there are, they're having all these run-ins and he like he kind of was starting to go like scorched her like wanted her out of the house wanted her doing all these things like was ready to like move in
Starting point is 00:48:42 this girl like just absolutely wild moves this man is making so over the weekend he they post that he proposed in spain now lisa and lennie are not even legally divorced at this time he proposed to this person in Spain with a ring that honestly, like, is so ginormous, it makes you think it's fake. Like, it's just, it's too, it's too big. Like, it's too big. It looks ridiculous on her. And not only did he share this, he proposed or posted about proposed. I don't know if he proposed or if he just posted about the proposal.
Starting point is 00:49:29 on Lisa's birthday. Lisa's birthday. She's out to dinner with her. She's got a new boyfriend. She's had dinner with a new boyfriend. Bam. Lenny posed that he proposed. Like just sick human being.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Oh my God. That is awful. He is awful. He is so awful. And honestly, like, I haven't really looked into this girl too much. She post, like, her Instagram is really one of those things where you look at it and it's like, are you a robot? Like, is this, is this like AI?
Starting point is 00:50:04 Yeah. And a lot of her shit is very edited. Like, I don't know. It's just, it's like, she just doesn't seem like a real person. And it's like, she has like almost two million Instagram followers. It's like, who? Who are you? Like, what is this?
Starting point is 00:50:20 What is this? And Lisa posted on her story, congrats to my current husband and his mistress on their engagement. Um, his mom, Lenny's mom who like really kind of seemed like she was on Lisa's side at first and then all this. And it's just, it was just very sad that he, and she did that too. I want to try and find the. I saw a question. She commented on, um, the mom commented on the post like so happy for you.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I was just like, it was also just such a rude comment that was so unnecessary because it's like that's the mother of your grandchildren. You know, it just doesn't need to be, just doesn't need to be like that. Oh, she commented, I'll be very happy that this time you were getting a woman who loves and respects you. You certainly did not have that in your previous marriage. Good luck. Congratulations. Like, what? It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Putting that on the internet, it's crazy. And I don't, it's just, you know, tough, tough for Lisa. That is absolutely insane. They're not even split, they're not even officially split up. Crazy. Now, I saw a question going around on Bravo Twitter. Who's worse, Lenny or Sandoval? Which one do you think is worse?
Starting point is 00:51:59 Oh, I mean, as like a human. in being, I might go Lenny. Just because, like, there's children involved in this one, you know? Like, they have two small children. Yeah. And he's the disrespect that he is treating, like, the mother of his children with for seemingly no good reason. Like, you know, she didn't cheat on him.
Starting point is 00:52:29 She didn't do something. Like, he just, I mean, it's so, it's crazy. He's a bad guy. Morals, obviously wrong. and did the absolute wrong thing and 100% like is not great either. But it's just, I think it's just amplified 10 times when there's like children and like you're really like breaking up your family. So yeah, just what a piece of shit that guy is.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Yeah, that sounds awful. Now I obviously don't watch and don't know any of these people, but it sounds absolutely terrible. And he seems like an awful guy. And like, even his face, like, you can just tell. I'm like, looking at his face. I'm like, ugh. Yeah. Yeah. You're like, bleh. Right. Last topic, really quick. Teresa Judeyce called Sophia Vergara the root of celebrity she's never met. Teresa's really trying to get this story out there. And she's also like imitating Sophia Vergara's accent, which is funny coming from Teresa Judeyce because of her strong New Jersey accent. And Teresa. And Teresa.
Starting point is 00:53:37 I guess she's told this story before and she was happy to tell it again. Like I guess this isn't the first time she shared this, but she shared this again on her podcast and said that they were at an event together and their publicist or a publicist, like, wanted them to take a selfie or a picture together or something and that Sophia didn't want to do it and like didn't know why she should be in a picture with Teresa. And Teresa is talking about how like they had the connection of being immigrant Americans and like it's just the most Teresa thing ever to like make say that and then make fun of her accent. Like it's like, oh, you can't like you can't pull that card and then make fun of her accent and say like, oh, she like she should have taken a picture together because, you know, we're more bonded than she thinks.
Starting point is 00:54:27 And it's like, well, now you're just being a dick. Yeah, I mean, I imagine Sophia Virgaara meeting to her. and juda is just like whatever yeah like would it have been nice if soria if sophia regar just like took the selfie yeah sure but maybe it's just you know just wasn't in the cars for that time i just feel like that's one that you like it's a funny story that you can tell in a joking matter and it's like ha ha like she blew me off kind of thing and not like rudest person ever like like she she sucks like it's like okay it's not it's more yeah i feel like it's more of a laughing matter i do think it's crazy to like not take a picture well like a selfie like that but like at the same time who knows who knows what
Starting point is 00:55:17 happened yeah yep well that wraps up the topics i'm pretty sure yeah covered it all from this weekend oh did you see i don't know if it like it happened to me overnight my phone updated oh the twitter yeah twitter it's officially gone but it's something Like my phone's still weird. So like I have all my social apps in one folder. Mm-hmm. So when it zoomed out, the Twitter bird is still there. But when I click on the folder, it changes to the black X.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Oh, that's so annoying. And it says X. Mine was good up until this morning. Like I woke up with it. It just doesn't feel natural. I hate change like that. Like I've just been so used of clicking Twitter. I know.
Starting point is 00:56:06 I agree. I agree. And like we're never, we've talked to all this, but we're never going to say Twitter, you know? It's just, oh, I'm always going to say Twitter. It's never going to be X. It's just like weird to click on the app and it's just an entirely different logo. Oh, well, we're just going to deal with it, but we're calling a Twitter. Yeah. I saw a tweet on. I saw a tweet where someone was like, I'm still calling it ABC family. And I was like, yeah. Me too. I'm right there with you. Exactly. All right. That wraps up the topics. We have a great game of trivia, but first, let's talk about Pink Whitney.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Pink Whitney is the best. It's Pink Lemonade and Vaca combined. So right now, take your shot with Pink Whitney, whether that's at the bar, whether that's at your local liquor store, pick up a bottle, or order Pink Whitney. All you have to do is take your shot with Pink Whitney. All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another game of Beat Re and Fran. This is game number 85, and we are joined by the lovely Kristen and Jessica. We are so excited to play.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Francesca is over Zoom, but we are still prepared to play as a team. I'm feeling lonely in here. I keep looking over my right and you're not next to me, but I'll get over it. Welcome to the show, ladies. We're super excited to play. We're excited. A little nervous. So excited.
Starting point is 00:57:34 You got to kill it. I can tell. I like your vibe already. I think you guys are going to be good. I'm very excited. They can feel it. Same. I feel the confidence.
Starting point is 00:57:45 Thank you. Frank, you want to go over those rules again? Yep. So very simple game, 15 questions. If you get a question right, you get a point. If you get a question wrong, the other team can steal the point. Whoever is the most points at the end wins. To determine which team goes first, Noah is going to give us a movie.
Starting point is 00:58:05 We have to guess the Ron Tomatoes score, the critic score. Whoever is the closest, that team will get to go first, and everybody gets their own individual guess. and then we will alternate guesses. So everyone gets their own guess. So, Noah, what is today's movie? Today's movie is Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. I love that movie.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Okay, so one of you ladies throughout a guess first, and then we'll alternate. I'm going to say 42. Okay, interesting. I was going to go 36. I'll go 59 similar to that I'm going to say
Starting point is 00:59:00 51 Re is the closest because it's 14% Oh Oh, whoa That's a great movie It was really such a cute movie It really is
