Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.
You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music.
This is state of emergency.
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday.
And Friday energy, we are bringing you indeed.
We got a new logo, re-imped.
It's here.
If you're watching on the YouTube, it's right behind us.
If you're listening on where you're.
listen to podcast, then you'll see the new logo.
I no longer have black hair.
What a, what a refreshing feeling.
What a moment.
What a relief.
But we're really excited.
We have all new merch.
It started to get a little scary.
I'm not going to lie.
Like, I think for a while was used to it.
And then when people reshare stories of them listening to the podcast, because we don't
see that photo a lot.
No.
You know, like we're not because we're not, it's not like we are playing.
I got to change my Gmail picture.
Yes.
Like we're sort of like when we see when we're tagged in stories, it's like you open the story
and it's like, oh.
It throws me off every time.
Who are those people?
And I'm like, that was a totally different person.
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
So different.
But we're really excited.
New and improved.
I keep saying this.
You guys keep making fun of me, but I'll say it again.
I think the new logo is timeless.
I agree.
I think that it's sweet.
It's one of those things that it's to the point.
Yep.
It's clean.
Yep.
I don't think we're going to get tired of it.
I think the,
I think the last logo that we've had for a little bit
was a little messy.
Yeah.
You know, it wasn't the best.
So I feel...
Let's go back to the bit mojis.
Yeah, the bit mojys were great.
Prop for a great time in our life.
Plains simple, to the point.
Beautiful.
Timeless.
Timeless, classic.
Iconic.
All the words used to describe us.
And yeah, new merch.
We're wearing it.
We got a new merch.
I got this chick sweatshirt on right now.
It's navy blue.
Fran's got the In the Office one on,
which I love that one so much.
They're all embroidered.
We got hats.
I'm going to grab the black hat quickly because I like this one too.
I have a blue hat's powder blue.
It's got some embroidered lightning bolts on there.
Three to be specific.
The black hat also has that.
It's hard to see.
It's hard to see, but I like a classic black hat.
So I think people will like that too.
And then, of course, we got our mugs.
Who doesn't love a mug?
We are working on pens.
We're working on pens.
Those are not ready yet, but we're working on them.
So we got the in-the-office mugs, which is perfect.
if you work in an office and you need a mug.
Yeah.
I can't think of anything better.
And we also have fun little stickers as well.
I'm going to put some on my laptop right now, actually.
Yeah, I guess I can jazz this thing up.
I can update mine.
Oh, you already have one on yours.
This is our old one, though.
Oh, I kind of want to clean my laptop before I would do that first.
Yeah.
My laptop's kind of dirty, actually.
And purple T-shirts.
Yes.
Really comfy purple T-shirts.
You guys can sleep in them, wear them out, whatever you want to do.
we're really excited about
all embroidered
a lot more stuff coming too
yeah we do have more stuff
we have tons of stuff
oh we also have another
we get very frustrated
because you know it takes a long time
to make these things
longer than we would like them
to be made we've been working on this for a while
shout out to Natalie
and the whole team
Chase who have been
just throwing out names
I'm throwing out names that I've heard
have been working on these things
Christina
Christina Noah of course
everybody
has had a has had a hand
in this. So everyone's doing a great job and we're really excited about the new merch.
You could buy that store.com. Go to our section or you can just go to the link in the
description if you're listening. And also let us know how you feel about the new logo. If you're
listening, take a picture of it, tag us on Instagram. We'll reshare all your stories.
We want to see you guys listening. Also, let's get back to doing that, huh? I feel like,
I feel like when we started this podcast, what? It was just funny because I forgot that you
said that the other day. We were like, people aren't tagging us. So I knew where you were going.
While, it's been happening for a long time now.
I just haven't said anything, but now since I'm bringing it up.
Like, people used to tag us all the time when they were listening to our show.
And I feel like now it's just become a routine thing so people don't really like share it.
We want to see you guys listening.
So if you're listening to our show, share it because we want other people to listen to.
So if they see you're listening, then, you know, rate the word.
Yeah, five stars.
Five stars only.
If you're going to rate anything lower, don't even bother going to that section.
Subscribe to the YouTube.
subscribe to the YouTube.
We love you guys.
We're excited.
How's everyone feeling today on this?
Oh, we could also...
No, no, I'm feeling good, but I want to say that the...
We could also announce another rebrand of just chicks.
Don't know anything about the Pacific Northwest.
None.
Zero.
I was made apologies to feel like a silly little rabbit.
We're all.
We're all dumb.
None of us are that great.
I didn't have any mistakes.
You didn't correct us, though.
Well, I didn't see the map.
Well, I corrected.
on the main thing.
But you didn't know about Vancouver, Washington.
Well, Vancouver, I didn't see a map.
And when you said it's close, I was more assuming, like, it's a close flight.
She said it was right across the river, which was very funny.
And so, don't act like you knew that.
Don't act like you knew it.
Don't act like you're that smarter than us.
Yeah.
If you did, if you did, you would have, there's about it.
There's a zero percent chance Noah would ever let a moment fly by to correct me.
Yeah, no.
So if you knew it, if you knew it, you would have corrected me.
You would have jumped in.
I'll say this.
I had no idea.
Vancouver, Washington, who knew?
Vancouver, Washington, also close to Vancouver.
Also fairly close.
It's not that far, but there is another Vancouver.
So we all had some dumb moments.
It's a couple of East Coast gals who know nothing about the Pacific Northwest.
We're learning.
I don't know anything about the U.S. map in general.
Thursday.
Don't even count me in for knowing the rest of the map.
Thursday, Ria was like,
I'm going to Google a map of the United States.
I'm going to bring it up right now.
How many capitals do you think you can name?
I know a couple capitals.
A couple.
Tallahassee, Florida, Albany, New York.
What's Washington?
That's my favorite one, Olympia.
Yeah, no.
I'm not good to say capitals at all.
I can do all of them in alphabetical order.
Yeah.
Alabama.
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado.
Connecticut.
De N-na.
Delaware.
Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada.
Oh, we had different beats, I guess.
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, oh, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota,
Where was this taught?
Texas.
Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
We learned that in third grade.
It's called the 50 nifty United States.
50 nifty United States from the 13 original colonies.
Shout them, scout them, learn all about them.
One by one.
See where we're going with this?
Yeah.
All right.
Well, I'm not book smart.
I'm street smart.
Let me tell you, I'll remember the 50 nifty till the day I die.
Same.
I also can do like times table.
Yeah.
Multiplication?
Multiplication songs.
Multiplication songs?
Like.
Three, six, nine, twelve, fifteen, eighteen, eighteen, twenty one, twenty-one, twenty-four.
Is this a song you guys learned in school?
Sounds made up.
They all had, they all had, every single number had a.
What was eight?
Eight was fast.
Don't remember eight.
I know I can count eight, but eight was fast.
Wait, now I feel like I have to.
I love you just went, I know my time's tables.
What's the square root of 144?
12.
Yeah.
I would have got there eventually.
Listen, like I said, not book smart.
I'm street smart though.
Yeah.
I've been in this game since I was 19 years old
created this great thing called checks in the office
I don't need a book
Oh speaking of books I did
Contrary to what you guys may believe
I did get a lot of questions about the books
That I was reading on vacation I know you get I know people love books
I don't I don't discredit you on that
I know people are interested and I did get some questions
Because I didn't say what those books actually were
If you were interested I read
I read the unscited
Unthinkable Greta James.
I read everything we didn't say.
I read the Paris Department and I read it happened one summer.
All great.
Unsinkable Greta James I liked a lot.
Paris apartment I liked a lot.
And then I would put it happened one summer.
It was cute.
Very like rom-comy.
And everything we didn't say was, it was good.
I've read better thrillers.
Mystery, mystery books.
That's all.
I'm glad you got those out.
Yep.
I don't want you to think I don't think people care about them.
Oh, sometimes I just feel like I'm talking to myself.
No, no.
But no, no, you're not talking to yourself.
You're talking to the people listening.
I know, that is true.
That is true.
Good point.
What is that?
This is not it.
Uh-uh.
Uh-uh.
We were not doing uptown funk.
Multiplication.
Oh, wow.
Well, they started teaching math in a weird way after us, you know?
Math is something like after a certain grade.
You never use it again.
They started teaching math.
an entirely different way than how we learned math.
I heard about that.
Where is our good old multiplication?
I started to help the kids out when I would babysit a lot and I would try and help with
their homework and they would explain.
And I'd be like, I just, they just teach math differently now.
What does that mean though?
Like they just use different methods.
Why?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Like, what are you ever using?
What are the different types of math, algebra?
Oh, well, I mean, calculus, algebra.
You never had to use those.
I mean, just my line.
work, I guess. Geometry.
Yeah.
This is freaking. The song's
a little freaky.
Is that Simon and Garfunkel?
Very fokey.
Ooh, it's kind of
catchy. It does make me think
of, did you guys ever watch
This is Schoolhouse Rock? Schoolhouse Rock. Yeah, yeah.
That's what that is? That's what that is, but that's not the song
I'm thinking of. Schoolhouse Rock. I'll get there eventually, not right now.
That will take up far too much time if I have to sit here and try to find
this. Schoolhouse Rock was great.
It was. It was fun.
It was.
Conjunction, function.
Yeah.
I should have paid attention a little bit more, maybe to the U.S. geography once.
Conjunction, junction, what's your function?
Yeah.
I'm just a bill.
I'm just a bill.
That was such a good one.
Isn't it funny when you realize, like, you retained the stupidest things?
And also that you didn't have, like, an original experience.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
We didn't live in the same state.
No.
We didn't know each other at all, but we both just went, I'm just a bill.
Seattle, Capitol Bill.
Yeah, yeah, that happens.
That happens.
All right, gang.
Rebrand, we're here.
Merch.
Tickets are on sale for the West Coast tour now.
Everywhere but Seattle.
Seattle's coming, though.
For some reason that I don't have a good reason for, but that's just what we've been told.
They will be on sale soon?
Got some good guests locked.
Soon?
Can I say soon?
Next week.
Okay, great.
Seattle will be on sale next week, but the other four stops are on sale now.
And we do have guest locked, and we do have our Seattle guests locked.
So that show is happening, by the way.
Harry Stahl is promoting his new album.
Yeah, there's a new song.
Everybody, I hope everyone's listening to it.
Well, listen to the podcast then.
Do you hear the little teaser he put out?
Yeah.
Interesting sound.
I wonder what it.
It's hard to tell from a little tidbit like that.
We're going to have to wait for the whole song, which we all will be listening to because, you know,
we're recording Thursday and you're all it's out now song's out so are you going to be listening at midnight
oh yeah probably yeah or watching the video probably if i don't fall asleep yes 100% i will i will be waiting
to listen really like really early except last night i didn't go to sleep till three yeah i was gonna say
you were up late last night i was i couldn't stop time i phasedime noah last night yeah in a in a group
face time with we called you by the way oh i didn't i didn't realize you were at a broadway show yes i was
But we had a group FaceTime, Natalie, Devin, and Nolan.
We did call you, by the way, and we were like, she's not answering.
I was on my way home.
Great show, by the way, Mr. Saturday Night, Billy Crystal.
I actually saw that and was like, damn, what is that?
Because that looks good.
Like, I love Billy Crystal.
Billy Crystal is amazing.
I saw another guy I recognized on the stage.
Yeah, he's, I'm basing on his name right now, but he is, he's in everything, that guy.
Very good comedic actors and in a tum with Billy Crystal.
his name is
shoot
this is bad
his name
is
David Pamer
I think is his name
hmm
yeah but
how was it it was good
yes David Pamer
he's in if you watch
he's in marvelous Miss Maisel
he's done stuff with Billy Crystal
he has done
like so many
a lot of sitcoms he did
I think he did a couple episodes of Brooklyn 9-9.
And Marvel.
Yeah, Brooklyn 9-9, he did.
Dave.
He was, Dave.
That's probably however.
He's a dad.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, he plays his dad and Dave.
Yeah.
He's very, very funny, and they were all really great.
The show was great.
I highly recommend.
It was very funny.
Very Billy Crystal ask.
It's like the story of a comedian who had his own show in the 1950s on TV.
try and kind of like research his career in the 1990s.
Very good.
Nice.
Good.
You enjoyed it?
I enjoyed it.
Good for you.
Broadway, baby.
Good.
I had a great dinner last night.
Really good dinner.
I just wanted to throw him.
Yeah.
Do you do anything good?
I had sushi and I edited.
I had some sushi.
And then I watched the newest episode of the dropout.
You recommend?
I haven't started it yet.
I do recommend.
I'm going to watch this weekend.
I need a new show.
I've been watching just.
survivor lately. I'm still
turning through Bridgetton. It's taken me a little bit
longer than the last season. I know you're not.
I know you're not. It's, it's, and honestly
goes to show how I, I mean, I'm enjoying it,
but if I really loved it, I would have finished it by now,
you know? That's true. And I haven't finished it yet. Exactly.
All right, let's get into today's show. We're going to be talking about
Black China, Tyga, and Rob Kardashian. A little communication
on Instagram is very funny. Black China
talked about child support. The two dads of her children stepped in.
We're also going to be talking about some Will Smith updates.
Obviously, this topic's getting very tiresome.
We're literally talking about, we're talking about celebrities talking about how boring this topic is.
Right. Daniel Radcliffe had something to say about how boring it was as well.
And Eric Church canceled his concert this weekend so he can watch UNC play against Duke, which is causing an uproar all over and we'll give our thoughts on that.
And we have a great interview with Lindsay Hubbard.
If you're into Summer House, this was a really good interview, especially with the last few episodes that have happened.
and we will be having Craig and Austin on our podcast today.
When you guys listen, we'll be interviewing them and then it'll be out on Monday.
Don't worry, guys.
We're not going to let Austin just slide by, but he is going to come in for an interview
because sometimes you've got to interview the villain as well.
So let's get into the podcast starting off with Black China.
It's Friday, baby.
We're going into the weekend.
You want to be hyped.
You want to be energized.
You've got to have a Celsius.
We have been loving these drinks.
We've been drinking them already.
And then, bam, we started doing ads with them.
We're like, yes, this is amazing.
Natalie, one of our producers.
She gets shipments of them sent to her apartment.
She said she loves them as well.
So Celsius helps you stay active and energized all day.
It's made with premium ingredients, zero sugar, seven essential vitamins.
So it's not like a traditional energy drink.
Their flavors are great.
They have like this tropical line.
The flavors are great.
Then there's also watermelon, grape, raspberry, assay, peach, mango, strawberry,
strawberry guava so many more they also have different product lines for all situations including
celsius heat which includes caffeine to help boost energy to overcome any challenge and the
c a plus energy which helps with recovery after a workout they also have the celsius on the go
which are small powder packets and all their different flavors you can just add to your water bottle
whenever you need a boost we love the celsius guys Celsius is is a tough plural
It's a tough plural, but we love to drink all the Celsius.
I feel dumber and dumber every time we record.
It's tough.
Yeah, it's tough.
Words are hard.
You can go to Celsius.com to find a store near you, or you can order online at Amazon, Walmart, or Target.
Celsius, live fit.
This was a very funny exchange that went on Twitter and Instagram.
Black Jaina posted about complaining that she, that, not complaining, what she was bragging,
that she doesn't have child support
if you want to read what she wrote
and then what Rob Kardashian and Tiger wrote.
She tweeted
yesterday I had to give up three of my cars
my reasons, morals, beliefs,
being a single mother, no support,
I'm a mama.
And then she also wrote,
single, no support, child support.
And
Tyga commented,
I pay $40K a year for my,
this is first they originally commented,
I believe,
on a shade room post. Shade room had re-shared it. And so Taga commented, I pay 40K a year for my son's
school and he lives with me Monday to Saturday. Why would I pay child support? L.O.L. Rob Kardashian comments.
Who is rarely on Instagram. Like I wonder if it was even him who commented this or whoever runs his
account was like, I'm standing up for Romp. I paid 37K a year for my daughter's school. I handle
every single medical expense. I pay for all her extracurricular activities. I have
my daughter from Tuesday to Saturday. Why would I pay child support
L-O-L? And so then Shade Room re-shared that. Like we made a whole new
post with TIGA and Rob's comments. Taga comments again at Rob
Kardashian. How you pay 3K less. Let me know the plug.
With a laughing face. And then Black China responded to Tiga and all she said was
L-O-L. So she didn't have much to say back. And I just think
it was such a funny exchange. And I think that they both seem like such
great dads. I think I've always thought that about Tyga and Rob Kardashian because you hear the
Kardashians talk about how great of a dad Rob Kardashian is. And just from following Tyga on TikTok,
whatever, I always thought like, oh, he's such a cute dad. So to see Black China writing that and for
them to jump in was just a very funny exchange. And also, like, what a deal Black China has cut
out for herself that she only has to be with her kids two days out of the week. Like, they're taking,
she's got a deal with Tagga. She's got to deal with Rob Kardashian for her.
she's free.
I, yeah.
Also, why wouldn't you want to be with your kids more?
You know?
Well, I don't think it's, I think, remember, there was like, there was like serious cuddles.
That is very true.
We know it, at least with Rob and Blackshina.
That is true.
Like, I'm not, I don't know.
I don't want to speculate because I really don't know, but I think it came from, like,
how fit she was to.
Yeah.
At the time.
I don't know if that's changed or, but clearly the arrangement they have right now,
is Tuesday to Saturday, Dream is with Rob, and Monday to Saturday, King is with Tyga.
What a life, Black China's living.
One to two days.
Yeah.
It appears.
Dream, by the way, is so cute, and I feel like she's such a little diva.
Did you see the videos?
Chloe posted on an Instagram story of True and Dream dancing to...
Barbie girl, I think
I'm a Barbie girl
In a Barbie world
And she's like, she's got the dance move
She knows every word
She's flinging true around the room
Like it was very very cute
They got some cute kids
Um yes
And yeah
For Rob to even jump in
I feel like that shows like
It's one thing
That's the one thing I feel like he will chime in on
There's not a lot
He stays quiet on the drama
but when you involve his kid in anything,
he's going to jump in.
Yeah, I loved that they both jumped in.
Yeah.
And it's very funny.
I mean, I don't know if the kids go to the same school,
if they all go to the same school or not,
but it's funny for TIGA to be like, whoa,
how come I'm paying $3,000 more?
He can afford it.
But also, just to not like, side note,
quite expensive for school or for like four-year-olds.
In my head, I thought I would have expected school to be more expensive for them.
Like I guess that is very expensive.
No, no, no, it's very expensive.
But I...
Like college.
I know, I expected...
That is true.
Actually, good point.
$40,000 a year?
Good point.
I mean, no, college is also very expensive now and just because more and more.
But like, dream...
Dreams five.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a very expensive school, though, only the best.
I think Black China responding with only L-O-L
to show that she really didn't have anything else to say.
Right, like she tweeted that and was like, oh, they're right.
Yeah, like L-O-L, like, you got me.
Yeah.
Hand up.
I'm caught.
Not sure why I tweeted that, but thanks, guys.
Yeah.
Did she say anything else on Twitter after?
I only saw L-O-L.
Like, I wonder if she left anything else up on on Twitter.
No. She then said practicing gratitude was her last tweet.
If Black China had any defense to that, we would have heard about it.
Yeah. Single, no support, child support. And then she wrote practicing gratitude right after.
I love how they both were like, why the hell would we give you child support? We need child support.
Yeah. Yeah. It's funny. It's like the full dates. One day a week.
Crazy. But yeah, they're going to, they're going to chime in when the,
when the kids are involved.
And maybe Rob did follow up on how to maybe cut that tuition down a little bit.
Yeah, maybe you put in a call.
Maybe Chris Jenner stepped in.
If you're listening to this podcast that I know that you must love Duncan because who doesn't
love Duncan?
Amen.
I think you're a freak.
I think you're a weirdo if you don't love Duncan.
I think it's actually a red flag.

The Will Smith and Chris Rock drama continues on. We're hearing more and more about it. A couple
things here. The Academy lied and said that they had asked Will Smith to leave. We don't even
really know. This is just what we're hearing. Allegedly, the Academy said that they asked
Will Smith to leave the Oscars. Now allegedly, the Academy lied about saying that they asked
Will Smith to leave the Oscars. I think that they said, they said, they said, we'll Smith to leave the Oscars.
I think that they saw the uproar
and then apparently he refused
Right
It's gone back and forth
It's like and then
Don't you think we would have heard that the night of?
He and Chris Rock spoke
Some reports they didn't speak
I don't think they spoke
They haven't it seems like Chris Rock
Apparently Chris Rock's rep has denied
That they have had any actual contact
Right his sources say that there
No contact happened
He also had a show at the Wilbur in Boston
Where he got up on stage
And he said that he
You know he wrote a whole
He wrote all material before that happened
that he wants to perform
and that he doesn't really want to talk about this.
He's still processing it.
And when the time comes, he'll talk about it
and it'll be both serious and funny.
So I think,
I respect that from Chris Rock.
He's got a workshop,
workshops and more jokes.
He's got to make sure they're funny.
He lets him fly.
Absolutely.
And he's on a massive tour right now.
He's just kicking off like a massive tour.
So it makes sense that this happened Sunday night.
You know, he probably,
and he just probably spent months preparing
all the material for this tour.
I'm sure he will work on it
and it's going to be
whatever lucky city
is the one where he's like
all right my Will Smith everything's worked out
I've got my jokes like now I'm going to change
my tour a little bit and include the Will Smith stuff
those are going to be lucky
guess and I hope he does it
like I hope he doesn't just let Will Smith slide
No he has to he will he has to
but obviously I think he's got to make sure they're right
He's got to make sure they're really good jokes because a lot of the jokes have been outplayed by now.
And they're just outdone and everyone's making jokes about their relationship.
He's got to be smart about it, which he is.
He's one of the greatest comedians ever.
So he'll think of something good.
Yeah.
But you got to let some time pass because then it'll be even funnier to like look back on.
Yeah.
I'm sure the people who are at the show Wednesday night, and he's doing a bunch of Boston shows.
So I'm sure the people who are like maybe hoping.
that he was going to go into it more.
We're probably a little, maybe a little disappointed.
They were disappointed, but they bought tickets to the show anyway.
Yeah, exactly.
Like, you probably bought these tickets a while ago.
Exactly.
And I think seeing Chris Rock stand up in real life is worth it anyway.
Like, the show's going to be amazing regardless.
Yeah, you don't need Will Smith jokes to make that a good show.
Yeah.
But this just continues on.
And then Daniel Radcliffe did an interview where he said,
he doesn't want to be just another opinion on this subject because everyone's giving their opinion.
Everybody and their mother is giving their opinion on this and he's like, I don't want to be another opinion.
You know what I also love and this just shows how media and Hollywood works is he tried to deflect that question because I feel like he didn't want to be another headline of like, oh, Daniel Rackleff said this about Will Smith Slap.
So by saying nothing, it just became its own headline. Like instead of his opinion,
on. Well, he's the first one to like say that.
Yeah, exactly. Like, he's the first one.
He said, I'm just so already dramatically bored of hearing people's opinions about that.
I just don't want to be another opinion adding to it.
Dramatically bored is a very funny way to word that.
The boy who was dramatically bored.
It's a, it's a great way to describe how much it has been discussed already all week long.
And for him, and it is funny because, like, clearly he's recognized that so many celebrities,
have given their opinion.
Either some have been asked
and some have just not been asked
and are giving their opinion
because they want to on social media
and he's like, I just, I don't need to hear
their opinion
and you guys don't need to hear my opinion.
So let's just move on.
It is one of those things where at the beginning,
the night it happens, it's awesome.
Oh yeah.
It's like this is,
when something really big happens on Twitter,
it feels like the whole world comes together.
It's been, it's so fun.
There's been so many moments
in our life now where like there's, I can't even think off the top of my head.
That's one of the biggest luncher.
Yeah.
Or like when, uh, fucking Tristan Thompson hooked up with Jordan.
It's like when something so big that every, for some reason, everyone cares about.
Yeah.
I don't know why that's the one thing that popped in my head.
But like, I walked down the street to get my lunch on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
And this guy was just walking.
He was just, I just in passing heard him on the phone like being like, man, this Will Smith stuff.
Yeah.
It's just.
Some things really just have a chokehold on everybody, and this is one of those things.
But it also then gets wildly played out by the end of the week.
Like I'm also pretty much over talking about Will Smith and Chris Rock Slap.
And we're going to hear about it for a long time because now it's like UC reports where this is,
how is this going to affect Will Smith's career and questions about projects he already maybe have in the works that now might not happen,
things like that.
The Academy potentially lying is.
is very funny because they clearly fudge this so badly that they just don't know what to do.
And I should expel him from.
I mean, that's not going to happen.
But it's just, it's, it's, it's, it's just funny because it makes more sense that the report that TMZ put out of like, everyone being confused and having differing opinions makes the most sense.
Like, yeah, I'm sure there were some producers who were like, holy fuck, he's about to win an Oscar.
We can't make him leave.
and then there's some who were super angry
and were like he's got to be out of here
and the story
the idea that the academy
asked him to leave and he just said no
and then the academy was like
okay I imagine you're like sitting around
and they're like uh you need to leave sir and he's like
no and he's like no and they're like
okay sorry you know just thought we'd ask
I then keep keep going
like okay no worries you do you well
just thought we thought we'd ask
just maybe you would leave
hey do you want to leave
Hey, you want to get out of here?
I know there's a big award coming up.
Stay if you want.
You can totally stay if you want, but like, you want to leave?
It's just crazy to think about it.
It just goes to show like how ridiculous.
The Academy, Hollywood, this is what Jim Carrey was talking about.
It's all a joke.
Like, it really is.
It's such a joke.
And it's all going to be on Red Table Talk.
And we play into the joke.
We cover it all.
When do we think Will and Jada will sit at the Red Table?
Next week?
Two weeks?
No, I think Wait.
Couple weeks.
No, I think months.
Months?
Yeah, I think they're going to take some time to reflect.
I think it would be a bad luck if they were like, oh, everyone come watch like weeks after
it happened.
I think they got to wait till like dies.
I actually, I think it's going to be earlier.
I give it like two, three weeks.
No, no, no.
How often do they put out episodes?
I don't know.
But like I would be shocked.
I feel like that would be a bad look for them.
Well, at the end of the day, I'm sure they would still try and capitalize on that.
Go on Red Table Talk.
Well, if the, if the reports are true that he has not actually.
reached out to Chris personally,
then fuck that. I'm never
going on, Red Table Talk. Also, like, if it's true
that he just, Will, hasn't tried to actually
apologize to him besides writing a statement
on Instagram, that's bullshit. That is bullshit.
I hate that. Like, when people say that
they only apologize on Instagram, it's not real.
Instagram isn't real, so you can't just
apologize there. What do you think about, like, Wanda Sykes
being mad that she didn't get an apology?
Did you see that? She was like,
we were the host, and this was, like, our home, and Will Smith
hasn't apologized. Everybody thinks it's about
them. Everybody, it's about Will Smith, Jada, and Chris Rock. Yeah, she also said to Ellen that, um, I love
Wanda Sykes. I really do. You know what? If she wanted apologies, she deserved it. That's what,
that's what, like, I'm good at. I like, I like, I like that person. If Amy Schumer is asking for one,
I'd be like, shut up. She, um, Amy Schumer kind of is, though. No, Amy Schumer loves this because
it took away from her whole stealing a joke thing. Yeah, that's true. You'll, you'll never forget,
though. I don't forget that. They, um, what was I going to say? She also, Wanda also said on Ellen that
Chris Rock, Chris Rock apologized to her at the after party.
I was like, I'm so sorry that this is like all now going to take away from your night.
Like you guys were doing such a great job.
And now like this is going to be the story.
Listen, it's always the victim that has to apologize.
I saw Theo Vaughn on his podcast, like he was with David Spade and they went to the party.
And he was talking about like Chris Rock was still like, what the fuck?
I got to watch that.
Yeah.
I feel like he would have funny, funny thoughts on that.
But it probably takes a while for that to really.
really digest. But I can see Chris Rock being like,
I'm sorry that happened to people. And like, Chris Rock's
a good guy. Yeah. Stand-up guy. He seems
like a normal fucking guy. Like
Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, David Spate,
like that group of guys.
I would love to act. The grown-up squad.
Their friend group.
Kevin James. Yeah, Kevin. As famous
as they are and how successful they are, they all
seem like they're just like normal human
beings with their head on straight.
And Will Smith does not seem that way.
Will Smith seems like an ego main act.
He's like in the Tom Cruise love.
like you've lost your mind like yeah you know what's weird speaking of tom cruise and i don't know
how accurate this is but i was watching the dark night the other day so then i ended up i was like
googling christian bail and whatever but uh christian bail i don't know if this is true or not i
saw multiple articles but i couldn't find like one article that i thought was like the most reputable
like i thought they were all from weird websites but it's all been reported multiple times
that christian bail said that he watched an interview of tom
Cruz on a late night show
I forget which one it was
and he modeled American Psycho
after watching Tom Cruise
like he thought that Tom Cruise
had such a happy face
but dead look in his eyes
that he modeled American Psycho after Tom
Cruz and I don't know how accurate that is
but I saw it reported multiple times but not from like
one specific source
If there's also if that's on late night TV
and there's not a video of it
No no no he didn't say it on late night TV
Apparently he said that he watched Tom Cruise on a
late night interview. Oh. And thought.
But he said that in, did he say it in an interview? I have no idea. I've been, I know I've seen
that. I've been trying to find where Tom Cruise, where Christopher, where Christian Bale said this about
Tom Cruise. Yeah. And I just can't. Like, if it's hard to actually find, then odds are.
Honestly, I see it now. There's so, oh, it makes sense, but it's like, if it's that hard to find,
Cruz's intense friendliness, but nothing behind the eyes. Wait, have you guys watched that movie?
Yes. You know how, like, no, American Psycho. Oh, American Psycho. Yeah. He, where he's
like before he kills the people and he's like,
I love this artist because I could totally see Tom Cruise doing that.
Yeah, I just can't find where he said it,
but it's quoted so many places.
So I don't know how true that is, but you brought up Tom Cruise.
So I thought that was interesting.
I read that the other day.
All comes back to Scientology.
Not the place.
There's always been all those rumors about Jaden and Will,
but there are some sources that Scientology experts who said they've been out for quite
sometime. If that's...
Tompkins's probably like, come back now. If that's
true, we're not true. I don't know if they dabbled in it and didn't
dabble and stop dabbling or if
Jade was more into it than Will was unsure.
But... Yeah. Well, I guess
Scientology is funny. I was going to say
Scientology. Not for me. Not for you.
It shouldn't really be for anybody, I don't think.
But hey, I tried to read a book on.
We'll mind to tell Scientologists what to do.
No, no. Yeah.
Not me. Yep, not us.
Moving on. Moving on. Yep, yep, yep, yep.

So this is a major headline the last couple days. And I honestly, I feel bad and I also think it's very funny. Like, Eric Church, he canceled his show in San Antonio on Saturday night because of the Duke Q&C game. For the fans who bought tickets for the San Antonio show, that fucking sucks. Like I imagine I put us in the position of traveling, like, especially for the people that are traveling to the show. I put myself in the position of we're traveling for like a Harry style show.
We're so excited.
We spent thousands of dollars on front row seats.
And, like, we're ready to have his sweat drip on our bodies.
And then Harry Siles is like, oh, my favorite football team is playing in, I'm out.
I'm canceling.
I respect that.
I know that if you have a ticket to the show, you're probably furious, right?
And I respect the honesty from Eric Church.
He could have come up with some kind of excuse now.
he would have looked like an asshole because he clearly is attending the Duke Q&C game.
So imagine he sent out an email to all the fans with tickets and was like,
oh, guys, like shows canceled, some personal reasons, something going on with my family,
like made up some kind of excuse.
And then like we're all watching the broadcast of the game and the cameras panning to all
the celebrities in the crowd.
And they're like, and here's Eric Church noted massive Carolina basketball fans.
And everyone's like, you, what?
I was supposed to be at your show.
So he just outright came out and said it.
He wrote an email to everyone who was supposed to attend the concert on Saturday and said,
this Saturday, my family and I are going to stand together to cheer on the tar heels as the team has made it on to the final four.
As a lifelong Carolina basketball fan, I've watched Carolina and Duke battle over the years,
but to have them match up in the final four for the first time in history of the NCAA's tournament is any sports enthusiast dream.
he's right
I was going to say
he's right
he's hitting some fair points here
I will say
it's a once in a lifetime
opportunity
he can go back
to do a show
in San Antonio
I love that they got blown out
yes
that would be karma I guess
right but for the people
like someone tweeted
$800
airfare for two
from Miami to Austin
$950 car rental
$500 a night
for a hotel
in the river in San Antonio
$2,000
for two front road
tickets all for nothing
so
Like, yes, if you spent that much money, that fucking sucks.
If you're in that category, if you're a San Antonio local who bought a ticket and now I would
think he would reschedule this date for some other time.
And if you can make it to the second date, it's okay.
Like, you'll be okay.
But for the people to travel, that sucks.
Yeah, I can't sit here and act like I'm out at our church.
I think it's hilarious.
I think it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance and I respect his decision.
Yeah.
I think, yes, it sucks.
and all those people spent that much money.
But I didn't spend that money, so I think it's funny.
When I was in high school, I was on the hockey team,
there were multiple, we had games,
and I said I was sick because the Patriots were playing,
and I just wanted to watch that game instead of actually beyond a team.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, that makes sense.
He could have lied, and he was a noble man.
If we had a Chicks in the Office live show
scheduled on, like, the day of the Super Bowl.
That would be dumb.
Of course. It wouldn't happen. It wouldn't happen, but like, hypothetically speak. I mean, I could even make it Final Four. Like, if Georgetown made the Final Four,
would you? In basketball, and we had a Chicks in the Office live show, I think I would send this exact email.
Remember when we were on Philly and the Eagles were playing? Yeah, but that wasn't a crazy. That wasn't a Final Four. That was a regular, that was a Thursday night football game. That was a mid-season game.
Yeah. Like, for a mid-season game, like, you fulfill your obligation. Yeah. If it is Final Four, world, like,
World Series, Stanley Cup, Super Bowl, NBA Finals.
They've never played each other in this tournament.
So you just have to respect.
FTAA historian over here.
Yeah, I know a lot.
The story lines, the story lines up for a historic matchup.
There's nothing that's ever happened before.
Coach K, it's the end.
So yeah, do we blame?
Could be one of his last games.
Could be his last game.
Yeah.
Well, I'm saying.
It is one of his last game.
It is one of his last games.
There's only two games left.
It could be his second to last games.
or could be his last. Correct.
Yeah. College basketball.
Yeah, college basketball expert over there.
She's like, well, this is the first time they've met in the NCAA tournament.
Big matchup, U.N.C. versus Duke.
UNC. wasn't supposed to be that good this year.
You're right.
You're right.
You're right.
But they are good.
That is correct.
UNC beat them already at home, you know.
Could it be Duke's night?
Could it be?
Could it be Carolina's night?
Eric Church will be there to find out.
We have a great interview with Lindsay Hubbard talking all things,
Summer House, but first, guys, it's a hectic time of the year.
We know that.
Weddings, graduation, spring, spring sports.
Everyone is busy right now.
And sometimes you just need to take a second for yourself.
So this season, take a second to enjoy an ice cold,
Cores Light, because you deserve a beer that's made to chill.
You guys know the mountains on the bottles and cans,
even turn blue when your beer is cold.
That way, you know when it's hot.
time to chill. Coors light is cold loggered, cold filtered, and cold packaged. It's literally made to
chill. It's as crisp and refreshing as the Colorado Rockies. Perfect for a moment to unwind. It's perfect
for this interview, you know. We're talking about Summerhouse. We're watching that show. They are,
they're having a good time. And I know that they have their own alcohol stuff going on, but I bet you
there's a lot of Coors Light flowing as well. And it's just for us, it's a perfect way to sit back,
relax. It's Friday. It's Friday.
Open your fridge, take out a nice Coors Light when the day is done, and have a moment.
So that's why we need our Coors Light.
It's the most refreshing beer.
So when we need a second for ourselves, we reach for the beer that's made to chill.
Get Coorslight delivered straight to your door with yours to your Instacart by going to
Coorslight.com slash Chicks.
And always celebrate responsibly that's coming from Coors Brewing Company in Golden Colorado.
Cheers.
Thank you guys.
The world's most refreshing podcast.
Yes.
All right, everyone.
we are here with a very special guest.
We are joined by Lindsay Hubbard,
who actually was one of our first guests ever in Chicks in the Office,
not even on the podcast, just in radio.
And it's actually been quite some time since you've been back on the show.
So thanks for coming in.
Thanks for having me again.
We're super excited.
We have, I think it's also because we've been talking about this with our fellow
summerhouse fans and whatnot.
But it took us a while to like really,
die fully into Summerhouse
where we had watched like casually and then
she binged everything and was like
you have to. I've heard that a lot. I think it was like season
three. We started hitting our stride and then season four
it was getting really good. Yeah.
I watched episodes here and there
for season one and two but then I started from
with three like actually. Yes. And then season three I was like
I have to watch every episode tonight. Like I
like I watched season three and season four
within like one week. Yeah. And then
now I'm all cut up.
Carl always jokes.
Like whenever anyone's like, oh, I binge all of Summer House in the last two weeks,
he's like, that was six years of my life.
Yeah, yeah.
It's so funny watching you guys celebrate your birthdays.
I'm like, oh, it's her birthday again.
Happy birthday.
And you just saw it two days ago.
Yeah.
I actually just had like a friend text me the other night.
And he was like, hey, happy birthday.
I'm like, you were at my birthday over summer.
He's like, I thought I saw something on Instagram.
And it's like, yeah, it's on TV now.
What is your actual birthday?
August 11th.
So you are Leo.
I am as Leo as they come.
Yeah, me too.
All right, I want to talk about what's been happening this season, but I think it's really
funny that obviously we're talking about your birthday.
Your birthday party was a big blowout.
Obviously, we saw that last week.
Then last night's episode aired and, you know, the drama has continued.
But Fran ran into Austin in the airport on the way.
on the way to your birthday party.
Oh, really?
Like, this was just, I was watching the episodes
and I turned to front.
I was like, didn't you run into,
like, you bumped into Austin
and he was like, oh, I'm going to Lindsay's birthday.
And we were like, we had no idea
what was going to happen after that moment.
It was like, he joked about it
because it was, we were just like in LaGuardia
and he was coming in and I was going out
for the weekend.
Yeah.
And I was like, oh my God.
I was going to Martha's Vineyard.
He was coming in.
And I was like, oh my God, like,
what are you doing?
you in New York, he's like, yes, it's Lindsay's birthday.
I'm headed to the Hampton.
And so I was like, oh, my God.
Like, I'm sure you guys are going to have a time.
Because I know, of course, you're filming and everything.
And he's like, oh, yeah, I'm sure.
Yeah.
Little did he, we know.
Laughing so.
Little did I know also.
We had, like, just the funny little, like, whoa, everything that happened after
that, because we're like, I wonder how our birthday is going to be.
Well, I mean, it was a pretty big birthday.
And I think in general, 35 is not like this crazy number to celebrate.
It's not like 21 or 40, right?
All the fives always seem.
Yeah.
I mean, my birthday sucked so much last year and like something dramatic always happens
on my birthday.
So I really, really wanted this to be like a fun celebration.
Yeah.
And it's something dramatic always happens with your birthday because you guys are always
filming on your birthday.
Yeah, true.
So something's bound to happen.
Very true.
But obviously now you're with Carl.
We're so happy about that.
We told you when you walked in
and when Carl was here last time
I think that you guys are meant to be together
obviously you had your past relationships
and whatever but your friendship
and you being close to this family
and everything it just seems like
you guys are really really happy now
so we'll put that to the side for a second
while we talk about what's happening on this season
because you guys were not in that place
how is it watching back
do you guys watch together
because it's obviously a little awkward
knowing what was going on
McKenzie and McKenzie's there
like this both
Yeah, we've been watching together.
I mean, even before we were dating,
it was kind of our thing, right?
Like me, Carl, Danielle would come over
and we would sit and watch.
This season, we've been watching all of them together
until all of a sudden I made the mistake of watching it last week with him.
And I was like, oh, no, oh, no.
Oh, no.
And I'm like, this is just so awkward.
And it's hard.
Like, I think it's harder for me.
What was his name?
Luciano
Luciano yes
I was that
You know who he
I
Okay he reminds me of
Sebastian
Yantras
Who's the
He sings like
Inconte
Oh okay yes
Okay
That Spanish singer
I know who you're talking about
He saw a picture of it
He sang at the Oscars
Yeah yeah
Yeah
Yes
Yes
Luciano looks exactly like that guy
Yeah
Yeah
Like logistic wise
When you're on this show
Right
and you, did you meet that guy?
Or had you known him?
Okay, so Luciano, I met him maybe three or four weeks before my party in the city.
Okay.
I was walking around with one of my girlfriends.
I can't remember.
It was like a Friday.
I don't know what.
And we, this hot guy walks past us.
And I'm like, this is crazy.
Like, you never really see a hot guy walk past you even though, like, they exist.
One that stops you in your tracks.
And you're like.
But then a second hot guy walked past, and I was like, this is just getting wild.
So I'm looking at my girlfriend, like, okay, now there's two of them, and they're not together.
So I stopped and I waited and I turned around and I was just going to see if the second one turned around.
And that was Luciano.
And so as soon as he turned around, I was like, that's it.
I'm going to go talk to him.
So I started talking to him.
And he was in town from Argentina for only like a couple of months.
He was staying with his buddy who lives a block away from me.
And we were like, okay, cool.
Let's like hang out.
Come to hang out with us on the roof and have some Jose.
And so he met up with us.
He met up with me and like whatever friends I was with throughout the week over the next like few weeks or like three weeks.
And then eventually I was like, you should come to my birthday.
Yeah.
So I had my eye on Luciano before getting to the Hampton.
Right.
It wasn't like how we watched where it almost seemed like you went out, met a man and brought him home.
Yeah, no, I didn't, like, meet him at Southampton Social Club and bring him home.
No, no, I had spent, like, a good five, like, gatherings with him before that.
I admire people who could just go up to somebody, a random stranger on the street, and then hang out with them because I'm terrified.
Like, that would terrify me.
Just not knowing they could kill you.
You know what I mean?
Like, that's where my brain goes, where it's like they could be.
Well, you always think worst case today, really?
I do.
It just not good.
I mean, it is good, but it's not good at the same time.
It's good because you know that you're going to stay safe.
But, you know, you should be a little bit more open.
You know, look yourself out there a little bit.
I mean, you never know what could have.
Yeah, exactly.
But Luciano, he was like, he was so nice.
He was such a sweetheart.
He was just go with the flow and like always a good time.
And it was just very interesting.
I've always sort of had this affinity for, you know, different cultures of men.
And, you know, it's fun getting to know.
know like, you know, South American because it's kind of, it's kind of like the, the Argentinian
Andrea.
Right.
Yeah, I was just going to say, Andrea.
Oh, Andrea, I broke my heart this past episode.
I know.
So sweet.
It's, it's, like, crazy because I didn't fully realize that he was crying or that he was
upset because I was in the middle of all this other drama at the other end of the table.
So, yeah, I know.
It was, like, heartbreaking to see that.
He seemed like he really missed home.
I know.
I understood like
I understood
Sierra wanting to
talk to you or whatever
say it in front of the group but I almost like
I felt bad for him because I was like
oh not at the love dinner
he wanted to have such a nice conversation
missing his family
like maybe save this for another time
and you could tell he wanted to have
because I'm sure for him
if he was feeling emotional about whatever he was feeling emotional
about then
he himself probably wanted to have like a really nice
dinner to make himself feel like a little bit better
and like enough with the drama because you guys
are surrounded by him. He literally framed the dinner to be
let's all talk about love. He was like let's like have a
nice end and then it just like exploded
which was crazy to watch
and now I can't wait until the love that the love dinner like
ended in blows. I mean how are we going to expect
a love dinner to actually turn out to be a love dinner
yeah yeah I mean listen
when you have like a dinner with all
of us there plus you know I think
Craig
it's bound to just end
in some sort of chaos.
But I wasn't expecting that.
I mean, I'm watching it just like you guys are as viewers.
And I didn't realize Paige had hyped her up to go, you know, like, tear me apart or something.
Like, I think I even asked Sierra, you know, do you want to talk privately?
Do you want to take, you know, talk outside so that we didn't ruin Andrea's dinner?
But she didn't, she did not have plans for that.
So, yeah, it was.
It was definitely one of the more dramatic and scary, quite honest, moments that we've had in summer.
It got real housewives of New Jersey-esque in there, you know, glass throwing.
Yeah, well, that's the difference about our show, though.
It's like we live together.
So we typically, or at least I do, you know, try to keep it, you know, not violent or.
the room next to the person. Yeah, exactly. So, yeah, it's a little bit hard. I have a lot of
opinions and feelings that I'm sure will address on the reunion about it. But.
Yeah, so where do you stand? First, I want to start with Austin because I think that Austin was
like the main problem here. Like, I just think that. Yeah, I agree with Danielle a lot like last
last week and even after the party when Danielle was like, why are two great women getting mad at each other
when we should all just be mad at Austin?
I was watching Austin and I was like, I'm not being drawn in by this guy.
And I'm sure Austin's gray.
And we've talked to Austin before and like whatever.
But it was like, all right.
Clearly, he's not really saying much to Sierra at all.
So I don't know why she's hung up on it.
And then like you're just like having fun.
And you could see where the confusion gets in.
So I feel like he was probably just the main problem because he was bouncing back and
forth between the two of you.
Where do you stand with Austin now also considering you're with Carl?
And where does Carl stand with Austin?
Yeah, I mean, obviously you guys know about his watch what happens live appearance in October.
And since then, I sort of recategorized him in my mind.
And, you know, that's okay.
Sometimes you learn who somebody is by their actions.
And I did.
So he's still sort of recategorized in my life.
I'm not sure if he'll ever get a title of best friend.
again, you know, maybe hopefully down the line we can, you know, figure it out to be at least
acquaintances, but I have different priorities. And, you know, that is to just surround myself
with good positive people, especially friends, male or female. And if you don't really
fit into that, then there's really no need to communicate. So it's kind of where I stand. It's where
I've really always stood as far as friendship.
Right. And I get, we need to know your pillars of friendship.
Yeah, yeah.
We saw your pillars of love last.
Yeah, I didn't understand that.
Like, I'm sitting here talking about my pillars of love in, you know, the sense of a romantic relationship.
And then Sierra, like, tried to equate that to a friendship, which I agree.
Look, if I think about, like, my best friends and my best girlfriends in my life, you know, I do have those same pillars.
Love, respect, trust, and communication.
But those are my best friends.
I don't necessarily have those with everyone.
Everyone.
Yeah.
Do you think that I know, I know Craig and, you know, Craig and Paige were just on Watch
Chavez Live as well and they, I didn't realize, I guess, like, Craig had said he didn't
really talk to Austin for a couple months after this at all, gone down.
Yeah, I didn't realize that.
Yeah, so I just feel like the timing is interesting.
You could tell he was mad at him, though, in the last episode.
Yeah, the way he was like, even Craig was like, wait, this is Austin's fault.
Yeah.
But I found that interesting, though.
Like if Craig Fain is so quick to throw each other under the bus those two.
Page is hyping Sierra to comment me about it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I also think that there's a difference between like, because I was saying when we were just talking about Austin, it's like, I'm sure he's a good friend to his guys or whatever.
But there's a difference between somebody how they act with women and then how they are is just as like a person.
Right.
So it's like, he could be like a cool friend and like get along with.
with Craig Gray.
But you're not going to set him up with your sister.
Yeah.
I'm like,
a good,
no, he's like a good time or whatever,
but like he treats women terribly.
And I think you can separate the two.
I don't think it absolutely makes you like the worst person in the world,
but like you're not great to women and that's a problem.
Right.
And like, I mean, I think that's why Austin and I,
I've always gotten along with him.
Like everyone always asks, like what's the appeal to Austin?
Like he really is so much fun.
He's fun to be around.
You can joke with him.
He, you know, is always down for.
a good time laughing,
positive vibes, good energy.
And like, that's the appeal
to Austin, right?
And once you cross over into
you know, anything more than
friendship, that's where he can be a little bit
sketchy. And as long as you know
that, you know what you're getting yourself into.
Like, I've sort of always known that.
Right, right. And you weren't
looking for a relationship with him and that was very
obvious. Right. It's come, I think also
like, because you have the history with him
and have known him for years,
you have a better understanding of how he is in situations like that compared to Sierra who doesn't
really know that, I feel like, just because she has this winter house experience with him where,
you know, it feels like he's kind of wooing her a little bit. So it's like a little bit of a
different vibe. Watching back now, how do you feel about his relationship with Sierra? And do you
think you were reading it correctly during that time? Um, well,
Well, I mean, listen, like at the end of Winterhouse, Austin had a conversation with Sierra that he didn't want to be in any relationship, let alone anything serious, let alone long distance.
And as far as I knew before Austin came for my birthday weekend in the Hamptons, they weren't in a tremendous amount of communication.
I knew she had gone to Charleston last April with Paige and they hooked up then.
but I didn't from what Austin was saying to me they weren't really speaking that much and he had said to her like look like if we keep talking like you know I'm going to be dating other people so again like before he came I'm going off of you know what Austin right was really so I don't it was hard like and then whenever Sierra was sharing her feelings they weren't with me like I wasn't I was not aware whatsoever
about her deep, intimate feelings towards Austin.
Like, of course I knew she, like, felt something.
I felt something for Austin, like, but didn't necessarily know what that was, you know?
Like, oh, here's my friend.
We love to have fun together and flirt.
We have a very flirty friendship.
Where is that going to go?
I don't know.
Like, you know, but I wasn't aware that she was, like, really deeply feeling feelings for him.
Right.
because that's that is where it has felt like most of Sierra's problems came from is that maybe
there was a like lack of concern for her feelings towards Austin in all this but if you're saying
you didn't even really know the extent of her feelings no I'm like watching just like you guys
and I'm like you know oh wow yeah she really right like it wasn't in her crying in all these
moments no she's not with you exactly exactly and like you know
it's just like wild to me that they think I like did all of this like to really just like give it to Sierra.
I'm like what?
Because it does seem like the two of them do think you did this on purpose as some sort of revenge for Winterhouse.
Like it's like oh hey Austin you should come for my birthday and let's just fuck shit up and like hurt Sierra?
No.
Yeah.
That's not at all what happened.
Yeah.
Like not to mention like I spent a month.
and a half planning my birthday, probably $10,000 later, decorating, multiple costume changes,
writing my speech, getting vendors, you know, and then inviting all of those people. Like,
we probably had 150 plus people there. And, you know, out of that, it was a hundred of them
were probably my friends. So I'm like just running around, like, engaging with like everyone who's
there for me, checking in on the vendor.
you know, getting drunk having a good time.
I'm not the one picking myself up and making out with me
or picking myself up and throwing myself in the pool.
Like, you know, and keep in mind, like, right before my birthday,
Sierra was making out with Carl and Alex
and, like, talking about wanting to be single.
So I'm just like, okay, cool.
Like, everyone is just, like, having fun.
And, I mean, it could have been, like, loop picking me up.
I would have made out with the guy.
It could have been, you know, like,
Paige, I would have made out with Paige.
I was just like having like a fun, you know, let's just like good vibes today.
Like I didn't have a birthday last year.
It sucked.
So, you know, that was it.
So now while all this is playing out and this is obviously like the discussion about the three of you, you, Paige, Sierra, you know, Austin.
Austin should make maybe like a Zoom appearance on the reunion or something because I feel like he is a major part of now.
of what's probably going to be the biggest job up.
Everyone will just keep putting it on me.
Because now, like, so we're all watching this.
Do you, because it has seemed like you and Paige have really, you know,
created somewhat of a friendship.
Yeah, I thought I had like a great summer with Paige last summer, but I don't know.
I'm watching it back and I'm like, did I though?
I was going to ask after the last night's episode, it seemed like you feel a little bit differently.
Yeah, well, did you guys talk in real time watching and be like,
I didn't realize that happened
or now do you kind of save it all to hash it out
when it's on camera again?
I mean
I would talk
to one of my best friends
like I mean there's like in the past
watching you know
something like I think it was season four
when Carl and I tried to date the first time around
and watching some of that play out
and the things that he was saying
you know as it was playing out
we were back to being best friends
and I'm like, dude, this is like really hard to watch.
And, you know, so or like something with Danielle or even Kyle or Luke or Amanda.
But I, but not, no.
So you're like not texting page being like, why did you say that?
No, we're not like, you know, friends like that.
Yeah.
Where we text each other and, you know, let's grab a drink.
Yeah.
You know, it's mostly the summertime and then whatever social gatherings that both.
of us are going to. But I
really thought, like, I legitimately
thought Paige and I
like had a great summer together
and now I'm watching it and I'm just like,
huh. Yeah. Okay.
Maybe we didn't have a great summer together.
Well, I'm sure you guys saw the chance to talk it out.
It's interesting to see the friendship
dynamics in real life
just because it's like you watch, you guys all
really just go into a house together in the summer
and then there's a whole part of the year.
And you can tell who, hey, who,
talk. And then there's just a whole part of the year that we don't see. I was thinking that before.
I was like, think about these reality shows. Yeah, yeah. But you think about these reality shows that
they film like all year round or like six, whatever, however long they film. But you guys really,
it's like now thankfully we have Winter House. But like, there's so much that happens before
you go back into that house. Yeah. A lot goes down. People go on podcasts and, you know, talk a lot
of trash. And, you know, that's the unfortunate part. Again, you know, we live together. So
at no point can we really have like a housewives level of drama with each other because ultimately
this is supposed to be in how it started a group of friends I was going to say do you feel like now
because it it did start very much like a group of friends and yeah it was Kyle and I's group of friends
and you guys really had that group of friends do you feel like now it's more of a show rather than a group
of friends um I mean it's it obviously has taken on different
directions with each season.
So, I mean, I think the hope is that, you know, we are all a group of friends that have fun.
And of course, there's always going to be drama during the summertime.
But, you know, that there is that foundation of friendship.
I think there have been people along the way, you know, different seasons.
Yeah.
That have really stifled the ability for friendship to exist.
and, you know, obviously they're not here anymore, but, you know, I think when you really
divide the house or if you, like, are not willing to, you know, work through issues with each other,
then it just, they, it doesn't work for our show.
Yeah.
Makes sense.
Now, I've seen it so much talk about this online because we see you guys post pictures
some of the parties and it's like, wait, there's Alex, he's right there, he's at the party.
Why are they saying Alex isn't there when Alex is there?
And it's just, sometimes people just don't make the cut.
I don't know.
I wish I had an explanation for it.
I really don't.
And yeah, I mean, there was also just like a lot going on that, you know, we only have like 40 minutes.
it's once a week to cover 11, 12, 13 people at times.
And that's like a lot.
You know, so I feel like you have to, you know, production-wise,
you kind of just have to like focus on like the biggest moments.
Right.
And obviously what's happening right now is is the biggest moments.
I want to talk about last night's episode, the ending, which now we're left on a cliffhanger.
Sierra throws her drink.
Danielle's throwing, I don't know, candle sticks.
glass. Things were flying everywhere.
Glass. We just drinking out of real glass?
Yeah. Yeah. No, Danielle had like dangerous.
It's like dangerous. It's really dangerous.
So what was your reaction?
We didn't see you yet in the teaser. We just saw them
going at each other. Can you give us a little tease? Have you jumped into
that? Like what happened after that? No. I mean, look, like, as you
saw on this week's episode, like I was just
very calm and it was very clear to
me that Sierra wanted me to listen.
So I did that. And it's just
like it's wild. Like if I sit and listen
which is what somebody wants
then I'm doing it wrong.
Or if I have an opinion
and I also get
loud and scream then I'm not
you know, acting maturely. So
in that situation I was like
okay I'm just going to sit and listen
and absorb what's being said
and you know Danielle
had she was getting really
offended because you know
of what Sierra was saying.
And I was just like, that's not true.
That's not what I was thinking.
And this is not how it went down in my mind.
You know, so like partially shocked.
And then also like what?
You know, like I did not manipulate or calculate anything whatsoever.
Right.
And it did feel like you were not really like, and I don't know what the right word is.
You were listening to her and you were not trying to like ignite anything further.
It was not like instigate.
That's the word I was looking for.
I like ignite though.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You were not getting activated.
It was definitely like a listening.
But then of course, you know.
Yeah.
I mean, she was saying some pretty messed up stuff.
And, you know, of course, like she, I think had mentioned Danielle into that at some point.
And so, you know, Danielle's also getting heated.
Like, you know, I.
I took a different approach in that moment about that specific situation.
You know, Danielle took a different approach, both ultimately, you know, with the same goal in mind, you know, to, like, defend ourselves.
But, yeah, I mean, it sucks that, like, anyone has to have anyone's back.
Like, you know, like, what are we in high school?
Like, this shouldn't even be happening.
Like, and also, like, it just, like, really bothers me when people are like, too, women shouldn't be fighting over.
like my fighting is defending myself.
Like,
Austin made out with Sierra,
I did not care.
Like,
Austin could have slept with Sierra that night.
I don't care.
You know?
So, like,
I'm,
I'm, like,
on defense,
defending myself
for people fighting me.
Right.
If that makes any sense.
No,
definitely does.
So we'll see how it all plays out.
Yeah,
I'm actually interested
to see how it all plays out.
on the flip side of that now currently we know you and carl have created this relationship now and
I don't know if you saw there was this I think it was a TikTok that was going viral of you from like season
one or season two being like I talked to a psychic yeah instead there's going to be this tall man like in your life
and you at the time were like it's everett yeah but everyone's like you were wrong you were wrong and maybe it's
carl totally I know I have a lot of people
have been sending that to me.
And it's interesting going back and rewatching.
I haven't personally gone back and rewatched all the way through, but, you know,
different clips that people send me throughout the years.
And there's so many times that you kind of see, like, either Carl or I, sort of having
something for the other person, you know, like a lot of people sent that psychic clip.
Yeah.
There was also another interview that I had done, see.
season one where I was like, I know I have a boyfriend, but my heart melts when Carl, you know,
flirt with me, you know, or I don't know, there's just like, it's been sort of little droplets of,
you know, something brewing along the way these last six seasons. And, and I think just timing
wise, it all sort of came together for him and for me at the exact same time, which was at the
end of last summer.
Who made the first move?
I don't think anyone
like made a first move. It was just a very
natural like happened.
It really did.
You know, we live in the same building, right?
So I would hang out with him, you know,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, and then we're in the Hampsons
on the weekend. So we would hang out a lot
during the week.
And, you know, go through whatever we're each going
through, get each other's advice. And then
sort of once everything, once hot hub somber was fizzling out and like once everything was fizzling
out with him and McKenzie, you know, we, we started hanging out just naturally.
And then our Labor Day party, we went together.
I don't know if I can even like tell you what the theme.
Yeah, probably not.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we, we were dates to that.
party together. And it was then that something started clicking. You're like feeling the feels.
You're like, should I be feeling this way? Like I don't know. We tried this before. Trying to like sort
deny them, but like also having so much fun, you know, wondering what the heck you're feeling inside
because this is your best friend. And then really at Kyle and Amanda's wedding. It started like
picking up more. And then after that, we just started.
hanging out a lot, like, all the time in, and in the city. Because we were done filming. We were done
with Kyle and Amanda's wedding. I had gone to Mexico with Danielle, and I really missed him. He had
gone to Mexico separately on his own, and he missed me. I had another wedding, and I was like, I wish you
were here with me. So, like, we just started missing each other a lot. And then from there,
like, it was just, like, super high school. Like, that first month of being terrified yet excited
nothing happened.
Like we just kind of like held hands and watched movies.
And like,
you know,
like every now and then would,
you know,
accidentally fall asleep on the couch,
cuddling.
And then eventually I was just like,
what,
what's happening?
Like am I,
is it just me?
Am I making this up in my head?
Or like,
are you also having feelings more than friendship?
And he's like,
no,
I also am.
And I was like,
okay,
well,
that is reassuring.
You know, and then, yeah, it was like just, we took it very slow.
Yeah.
Just to get through that, like, terrifying stage.
Yeah.
And yeah, that was it.
And I think the way that you, first of all, that's all so cute and it just listening to
you talk about it.
I could, like, see how happy you are.
Like, you're glowing and you're just like so cute talking about it.
Well, it is just like real life rom-com.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And also, I think when you're, like, you have that best friend that's a guy or whatever.
and you're hanging out all the time.
It's almost like it's a relationship.
Right.
So you're like, what if I didn't have this person in my life?
I would be missing them like you guys miss.
And you're like, wait a second.
We've been treating each other like we're in our relationship, but we're best friends.
I mean, and the coolest part was like I already knew his family, his parents.
I didn't.
There was nothing that was like, okay, now do you want to come home with me and meet my mom or my dad?
You know, like I'd already known them for years.
He's known my parents and my aunt for years.
And, you know, we really know every single thing about each other.
We've seen and been, you know, each other's shoulder throughout both of our dating lives.
And we just, you know, we both individually had been through so much, you know, him with his, you know, family and personal stuff and then me the same.
So we've been through so much together.
And, you know, when everything started coming together and clicking, it was just like, it was just the best feeling because like there's, I mean, there's nothing better than like falling in love with your best friend.
And like it actually sticking and working.
And Carl, we, of course, we've seen on the show is his sobriety journey.
And now you have been saying that, you know, you haven't been drinking.
Is that something that you have consciously said, like, I'm going to stop drinking?
Or was it just kind of like with like, Carl's not drinking?
I'm not drinking.
We're just kind of going to do this together.
Yeah, it was right before Thanksgiving.
And I could tell he was kind of getting, you know, jittery about the holidays coming up.
It's a lot of family around.
When you have a lot of family around, it kind of brings up the loss of family that you might have had.
And it's a heavy drink.
season, the holidays. So, you know, he was feeling unsettled about his own sobriety. And I was like,
okay, I'm going to do this with you. I'm making the decision where we're going to be sober through
the holidays together as a team and, you know, get you to your one year of sobriety mark, which was
early January. So that, you know, that was my commitment to him. And then since then I just, like,
I have so much fun with Carl's sober.
I've obviously seen the physical and emotional and mental benefits from it.
And, you know, like I just, I really enjoy who I am, you know, without drinking.
Now, we have discussed, like, am I going to be sober forever?
Right.
I don't think I'm going to be sober forever, no, because for me, it doesn't really connect in my body the way that it does for him.
Yeah.
And like, but I do think my relationship with alcohol has changed forever.
But, you know, like if I'm out with Danielle to dinner or another one of my girlfriends or he's gone on a, you know, work trip and who knows.
Or if there's a big celebration, do I think I'll probably have a glass of wine or two?
Sure.
Yeah.
But I don't think I'll drink to, you know, the excess that I once did.
And honestly, like, looking at, like, even if you watch Winter House, I'm like, oh, my God, I was drunk all day, every day.
And then you're watching Summer House, a very different drunk Lindsay, but, you know, maybe I was a little more fun over the summer.
But I was still like, no, no, no, no, put makeup on.
What are you doing?
You know?
Yeah.
So, and I'm still, like, the same personality.
Yeah.
You know, which I think is cool for people who hang around with us, like, to see it.
They're like, oh, she's still in Zee.
Right.
And I also think when you, like you said, you have so much fun with Carl Sober.
So that must mean so much to your relationship.
Whereas like sometimes people, they have a lot of fun when they go out and drink and they're like club couples or whatever.
But you're like, what, I don't need this to have fun.
Right.
But just to relax or have fun with your friends or whatever.
It's just like a responsible thing to do.
Yeah.
Totally.
And like, I mean, listen, I legitimately go to bed laughing and wake up laughing, like cracking up because we're just being
stupid and like telling jokes and you know acting like ourselves so cute it is it is it really is so
cute uh we can't wait to see what happens the rest of this season of summerhouse it's been crazy
i know we got we got left on that big to be continued so we'll see what happens on monday summerhouse
is on bravo monday nights at nine p m you can watch then i always have mine yeah i'm either watch it at nine
or I make sure my DVR is locked in.
Do you watch it with your boyfriend?
He has not watched.
Does he have like a really important job?
No, no, no.
Oh my God, no.
It's more of, it's more the...
Wait, now what is your boyfriend?
No, no, it's nothing.
I mean, he works...
Oh, now he does nothing.
He works in...
He works in sales, but he's very much available on Mondays at 9 p.m.
But he's been hanging out of...
out with Austin. We don't share the love for reality TV is not a mutual love.
Okay. Well, that's all right. What do you watch? What is it? You're like, I don't even know.
No, no, no. We watch like Ozark and like, you know, he likes the scripted shows. The reality TV is.
I've tried. He'll watch The Bachelor from time to time when I have to. I would prefer Summer House over the bathroom. I thought it was a boyfriend.
Summerout, yeah.
Look, there's, I have gotten a lot of my guy friends into Summerhouse there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So many guys like, like, we'll cut, you know, if Carl and I are out in different cities
doing lover boy stuff, they're, you know, these bros and guys will be like, oh, I love
summer house.
My wife or my girlfriend got me into it.
And it's like, yeah, like this is the one show that guys actually can appreciate because
I feel like they can relate to the.
the guys on our show. And also guys also love drama. Like secretly they like watching the drama
too. Right. We're hearing about it. Guys can't necessarily relate to, you know, a real housewife,
for example, but they can relate to a Kyle, Carl, or Luke. Unfortunately, my dad can relate to the
real housewives because he loves real housewives. Yeah. He loves all bravo. Because he is a real housewife.
He literally. He loves all Bravo. But that's besides the point. Thank you so much for coming.
And I can't wait to watch the rest of the season. Yeah. Don't wait so long next time.
We won't.
All right, that wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office.
