So if you just want to wear those clothes inside, go for it. If you want to get some clothes so that you are ready to go when things open up and you are looking great. Head to Macy's. You can check out Macy's.com
Starting point is 00:01:13 slash chicks in the office. All of our favorite stuff is there. I'm actually sitting like in all of my Macy's purchases. You can't see it, but I'm looking at all of them. You know, here's some heels. Here's a romper. You guys can't hear me. And you can't see it, but like I'll show Ria.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Like, is this so cute? It's a romper, B-C-B-G. Super cute. And just like tons of really cute stuff. Now I'm looking at all the things I bought. And on top of that, like, said amazing beauty products. I love the two-faced mascara and eyeliner, and they sell them in a little bundle package. Fantastic. They have everything that you need. So just go to macy's.com slash chicks
Starting point is 00:01:54 in the office and you can see all of the things we bought. Fran, how are you doing on this lovely Wednesday afternoon? It's 2 p.m. when we're recording. It's rainy. It's a little bit rainy. How are you doing? It is a little bit rainy, but you know what? Sometimes the rainy days are nice. And I, and I think that just obviously has to do with being inside. Like, it's easier to stay inside when it's rainy, obviously. And it just makes the job, makes the job easier. But I'm good. I'm feeling okay. It's, it's tough because I, it's just been a long time. But I feel okay. I do, I miss my family. I seen my brother, my sister, my mom, my dad in months now, which is pretty long. Normally, I see them pretty often. So I miss them. And I think it's also because, you know, Mother's Day is coming
Starting point is 00:02:48 up and my mom's birthday is Friday. So, you know, happy birthday. Happy birthday, Mom. Happy birthday. So she, so it's just like these fun, it's just a time where we're normally doing stuff together even though we were going to be in Vegas I was just about to say, Fran, I know what you're trying to get. I'm like getting all sentimental. But you're like, oh, I'm so
Starting point is 00:03:12 sorry that I wasn't with my mom for her birthday and Mother's Day. Meanwhile, I had a trip to Vegas plans. Yeah, meanwhile, you would have been fucking twerking in the club, up in the pool. Oh, man. No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, well, we were both supposed to be in Vegas for your sister's bachelorette, so. Yes. My sister's bachelor's party was supposed to be
Starting point is 00:03:30 this weekend. We were going to Vegas Thursday to Sunday. We had, oh my God, the itinerary was insane. The itinerary was out of this world. Pool, club, party, party, party, strip club, home, pool, club, club, party over and over and over again for three days straight. But unfortunately, we won't be doing that. So instead, I'm just going to get drunk in honor of that because I haven't really been drinking much. in quarantine, like at all. I feel like I've drank like maybe three or four times. So I think I got up, I got to up the ante this weekend. I got to just hammer it home. Let's just get drunk in honor of Nicole. Yeah, I'll just get fucked up in honor of Nicole's bachelorette party. Okay. And I changed
Starting point is 00:04:19 that I'm going to, because I had ordered some stuff. So I'm going to drink out of penis straws and just have a grand old time in the comfort of my own home. Yep. I think that's, that's it. That's That is the logical thing to do in this situation. Right. Right. Like, that's all you have left for the souvenirs. So that's what you're going to have to use.
Starting point is 00:04:41 So I'm going to stop them. Yeah. Just exactly. Perfect. It'll, it'll, I'm sure Nicole will love it very much. Yeah. How are you, Rhea?
Starting point is 00:04:52 How are you doing? I'm good. I'm chilling. I don't know. I feel like, whatever. It is what it is. like we've been quarantined for like two months now
Starting point is 00:05:03 and it's honestly flying by in my opinion April didn't exist as a month. It just didn't exist. It's May now like that's unbelievable. I've completely accepted the fact so I feel like I'm doing pretty well honestly. Honestly. That's good.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Besides just not feeling well some days besides that I feel okay. Yeah. I mean I do miss I am starting to miss people in case you were wondering. Yeah. And I'm starting to miss the office. Me. And, and you, of course, Fran. But we, the thing, the thing about that is, of course, I miss you, like your physical presence. Yeah. But we still talk. We, yes. Of course, we're, we're like, we FaceTime. We communicate. We're talking
Starting point is 00:05:50 all the time. But like, like, I'd like to give you a hug, though. I'd like to give you a big hug. I, I think I'm, I could potentially burst into tears, seeing you, real life. I'm going to get teary-eyed thinking about it right now I'm crying what are you doing because I thought um about like potentially if you if you spend some time on long island in in the next coming weeks you know if I was just to like drive to be outside your house and just like we talked you know from a distance but you were in your house I stayed in my car I'd probably just burst in tears because we'd be like so close yet so far away you know that's how it feels yeah I was I agree with you. You know what? You're making me emotional and I feel like I'm going to
Starting point is 00:06:33 person. I miss my I miss you. I miss my friends. I know that this is not super uplifting, but I feel like a lot of girls are feeling this way too. Like my friends, we've just been sending like all of our snap memories and stuff to each other and being like, wow, remember when we all like did stuff together? Yeah, when we all like had fun and we're able to touch each other. There's something about, well, you know what, just to give some people some positive. of energy because you were to go down. Guys, this is going to be over at some point and you will be able to reunite with your friends
Starting point is 00:07:05 and you will have a good time. So keep that in mind, keep pushing through, stay inside. It's going to be okay. But this brings me to my next thought about seeing TV shows and movies where people are just, it was an episode of New Girl, I think I was watching. What was it?
Starting point is 00:07:24 Oh, no, actually, it was not New Girl. I'm confusing what I'm watching now. It was actually a David Dober. vlog where because I watched both last night that I couldn't I couldn't stop where I saw this. Okay, sure. Okay, continue. Somebody put eight money.
Starting point is 00:07:43 It was actually Wo Vicki and her friend. They were in it and then somebody was eating money. And then, whoa, Vicki was in David Dobrick's vlog. From a while ago, like, as a joke. Okay. And, Fran, don't knock it till you watch it. I won't, but you know how I feel about, you know how I feel about, well, Vicky. Yeah, she sucks, but it was, oh, well, whoa, Vicky, please don't.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Please don't hear me say that. I was absolutely joking. You do not suck. Look, that's why I just said, you know how I feel about her intensity. Let's move right on. Anyway, somebody was eating money and then somebody had a credit card in their mouth. I was like, oh, God, imagine doing that now. Imagine putting money. or anything. Oh, I was going to say in your mouth. Was this, was this the positive story that you were going to tell? Or was that just?
Starting point is 00:08:37 No, this is not a positive story. I was saying, let's say something positive before we move on to more negative stuff. Oh, I'm sorry. All right. Nassar, guys. Noah, unmute yourself for a second because I have a question. Go ahead. I noticed the cocktail resharing on your,
Starting point is 00:08:59 Instagram I would like I would like to know what what are you whipping up in the kitchen? I've kind of taken a bar cart. There was a period of time where I was like making a new drink every single night and like drinks that I wanted to drink and I would just share it with people. Last night my mom really wanted a margarita and like I hate margaritas but I just made her one. And like I couldn't get the salt to work on the outside. It looked really bad. All about presentation.
Starting point is 00:09:25 What's the best one that you made? I made a ngroni the other night that was good Was it like how Stanley Tucci makes his ngronies? Did you see that video? I think my dad mentioned that to me but I haven't seen that video. Good, so the joke went over your head twice. Your dad's and my mom made that. My mom made the joke to me yesterday because my parents, I saw them.
Starting point is 00:09:53 They were drinking nagronies. Oh, really? Yeah. And my mom was like, well, you know, Daddy's in there like Stanley Tucci, whipping up the Nogronies. Yeah, I don't really even get it at all. Okay. All right, moving on. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Appreciate it. I was just Googling what a Nogroni is. Oh, yeah. Is that something that you would drink? I personally do not like Nogronies. It was good. I didn't love it. My favorite drink is probably in Manhattan.
Starting point is 00:10:20 No. I'm not going to be out here sipping gin. I'll take a pass on that. Yeah, I mean, I'm so lame when it comes to alcohol anyway, so. But like dessert drinks are fun to make, like with anything with like eggs. I like cracking eggs and making drinks like that. That's fine. Kind of like a milkshake.
Starting point is 00:10:42 No, this is so nice. What did you make with an egg? I think there was one other. I can't remember what it's called, but it was like an egg, uh, rum. Like nutmeg. I don't know. Oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:10:58 I do know what you're talking about and I also forget the name because I'm, like I said. Oh, oh, a brandy flip. A brandy flip. That sounds delicious.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Well, it's a very sophisticated hobby you've picked up during this time. I feel like I've learned something new, honestly. Yeah. Oh, that's great.
Starting point is 00:11:16 We're proud of you. I can't really picture Noah bartending, but. I don't know. I'm not like, it's not good to watch because I'm like so
Starting point is 00:11:24 science. No, no tutorial. videos coming anytime soon? I couldn't make it like in a cool way and like shake it. I'm like the Paradise Bar Tender. It'll taste good but it won't look good making it. Okay, that's fair.
Starting point is 00:11:37 At least you're learning something new. That's exciting. I feel like you could really have a pretty good like cocktail segment name. Just because Ives like rhymes with a lot of things, feel like it has a good ring to it. Ives. Hives.
Starting point is 00:11:56 that wouldn't work i've been called poison ives before oh that was like a thing when i was a kid oh in a mean way or like no like it's like a nickname kind of thing yeah yeah oh i mean ria took that as like you were you were being bullied like they were like oh icky poison ivy no it was like i i that's still my that's actually so funny because i I went the-Ives is kind of cool.
Starting point is 00:12:26 I went the other way. I thought that was cool. And I'm like, this is cool. No, that was funny because I thought like, oh, cool, like Poisoned Ivy kind of like Batman's superhero vibe type thing. And really just goes, aw. I was picturing like you don't want to be near Poison Ivy. That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I don't think people thought of it like that. Yeah. Well, I'm sorry for putting that on your mind now. You're fucking cool. Poison fucking Ives. This whole time people just are making fun of me. Sorry for just ruining your childhood nickname. name. Damn. I'm sorry about that. But anyways, guys, we have some topics to get into. We have
Starting point is 00:13:02 great a thing to get into. And we have a listen to your heart recap. We got Scott Disick, who checked himself into rehab and has reportedly also checked out. It was Adele's birthday, and she posted a fantastic picture, an absolute glow-up, even though she was beautiful before as well. Elon Musk and Grimes have a child with the worst name ever. And, Kara Delavine and Ashley Benson announced their split. We have the Listen to Your Heart recap with Trent, our feel-good segment, and a great, great interview with Hillary Burton Morgan. Nailed it. Nailed it. Thank you. Guys, this, I really love this interview. I'm going to talk about it for two seconds. I legitimately almost cried when it was over. Like, she hung up and Noah and I, Noah and Ria
Starting point is 00:13:48 watched like my eyes well up. So I really enjoyed it. So I hope you guys like it too. So let's get into it starting off with Scott. I don't know where that came from. Oh, my God, burst of energy. Let's get into it. Why are you holding the scissors like that? Like, you're like... Enough.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Gonna chop something up. So let's get into it starting off with Scott Disson. Oh, God. I hate myself sometimes. I really do. Okay. So let's get into it, starting off with Scott Dissick. Scott Dissick has reportedly checked himself.
Starting point is 00:15:07 into rehab this past week and also checked himself out. Yeah, this is sad and it's tough to see because, number one, we saw Scott to sick back in rehab and immediately you think the worst, you think something terrible has happened. His lawyer is adamant that it was not, that it was not for drugs and alcohol, that he went back to rehab, that it was, and his lawyer had said in an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father three months later. Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past
Starting point is 00:15:50 traumas. TMZ were told he was quarantining in L.A. by himself and it gave him time to realize he had not properly dealt with the death of his parents. I mean, I just can't even imagine because once you're able to kind of stay busy in life and you always have things going on and you have children and a girlfriend and a business and you're doing so many things that maybe he has suppressed a lot of those feelings and during this time where he has just only been with himself and a period of time to reflect especially when so many people are with their families it all could have just hit him like a freaking tidal wave and he needed to get some help.
Starting point is 00:16:39 And if that's the case, that's fantastic. He made the right decision. But then it all came crashing down because somebody took a photo of him inside the facility. Yeah, so I agree with everything you're saying and it's something that we've seen Scott deal with on keeping up with the Kardashians. He was very, very upset about the loss of his parents,
Starting point is 00:16:58 as he should be. And it seemed like it was something he was struggling with for a while. And, you know, I feel like, like you said, he probably just, you know, it was time to actually try and really get over it and channel the issues he was having. But when somebody blows up your spot, when you're trying to better yourself, that just sucks. Like what person wants to make somebody feel uncomfortable when you're probably in the same place or trying to help somebody in that place? You know what I mean? Because if you're there, then you probably know what he's dealing with, what the people around you were dealing with. It was definitely somebody in the facility and not just like a paparazzi. Yeah, no, they think it was
Starting point is 00:17:42 taken by a staff member. TMZ wrote Scott's team believes the photo was taken by a staff member, not a patient, and that could trigger criminal prosecution. We're told the photo was taken of Scott upon his check-in to the facility, and as soon as he learned of the photo leak, Scott immediately called for a car to pick him up, and he's now left this facility and his route. is an in-rout back to L.A. And I think this is the president and CEO of all points North Lodge, which is the facility he was in in Colorado.
Starting point is 00:18:15 He tells, he told TMZ that his team is aware of the district photo and says, the protection of our client's personal and confidential information is of the utmost importance to us. Obviously, they have strict policy that they can't release any personal info on patients. And that he says the APN Lodge, his team is sickened by any publication who report on an individual's life struggles without their consent. So it's one thing to say that, but clearly they had somebody employed who released that photo.
Starting point is 00:18:48 And it is tough to begin with. He probably tried to do this secretly. And of course, it came out that he had checked himself in or so. You know, it's tough. I feel bad for him. Yeah, I feel bad for him too because it seemed like he was doing really well on the outside looking in. Obviously, you know, there are some struggles that we don't know about as well. But it just sucks now that he's going to have to kind of backtrack because he went and he was going to better himself and try and get better.
Starting point is 00:19:20 And now he's probably feeling confused because wherever he goes, people have their eyes on him. He can't trust staff at like a. So it's, I think, right. Like, that's like the one place you should feel completely safe. Exactly. And clearly he was not. So hopefully he finds another place that, you know, respects his privacy.
Starting point is 00:19:41 And hopefully he doesn't just say, forget it now, because that would be unfortunate. Everybody's talking about Adele. She posted a Instagram for her 30-second birthday where she thanked the healthcare workers, the frontline workers. And she's just, looking fabulous. I mean, we kind of seen bits and pieces of Adele the last few months. People have
Starting point is 00:20:42 been talking about this journey. She's, she's been on, obviously. She's also gone through a divorce, but everybody is freaking out. I mean, she looks fantastic. All I have to say is, damn, girl. As soon as I woke up this morning, I looked at those pictures, and I was floored. She looks absolutely stunning. And not that. Adele wasn't stunning before because she was absolutely beautiful before, but it just seems like she's living healthy and happy and she's living her life without her ex-husband who is a scumbag, who cheated on her, by the way, despicable, disgusting. And now he has like all of her money because of that crazy divorce. So I'm just really happy to see Adele looking very happy and absolutely
Starting point is 00:21:31 stunning. Exactly. And I think it's crazy because it's tough when celebrities have these moments. Like I was just even looking at comments and some people are like, oh, like this is so sad her divorce thinking, you know, maybe she is unhealthy and that's what's caused this. But it really seems like this was a decision she made to just continue to try and live
Starting point is 00:21:56 a healthier lifestyle. A bunch of news outlets have reported that she has, she's been on this new diet and that she decided to take on a healthier lifestyle for the sake of her son, who's seven. And, you know, like you said, she has put a lot of hard work into this, and she's really dedicated to it. It seems like she enjoys doing it. There's something that I think, even just, I have seen multiple things, but like the Daily Mail have written this whole thing about it. And they had said, you know, meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Adele is in a groove with her new fitness regimen.
Starting point is 00:22:33 She, um, the singer has become increasingly health conscious over recent months and sources close to the star, praise her discipline approach to her own well-being. She loves going to the gym. She does these private fitness classes. She goes on active walks. And she's, they said she's just in a groove with, with staying healthy. And she's on this journey. And that makes me happy because she, this has just been a conscious decision for her to get
Starting point is 00:22:56 healthy. And like you said, Ria, she has always been beautiful. Adele has always been stunning. That does not change. But to see her living this healthier lifestyle that she's clearly very proud of, it's great to see. I agree with you. And honestly, I want to get on Adele's level. I feel inspired by Adele.
Starting point is 00:23:16 I've actually, you know, this made me want to listen to old Adele really bad. I'm actually missing some Adele in my life. I used to be obsessed with the song rolling in the deep. I can't even believe the amount of times I would listen to that song. So this just made me miss Adele, honestly, and inspire me to get on her level. be active, be healthy, go on walks, even though I probably won't do any of that. It's nice to think I will. It's nice to see that Adele has that kind of discipline. Well, of course she does. She's Adele. She's perfect. Yes, she is perfect. And I cannot wait for new music from her. I feel like we
Starting point is 00:23:52 might get something soon. Who knows, there's been a couple teases. Last month, her makeup artist hinted something exciting is coming soon. And like you said, she went through a crazy divorce. We never really talked about it too much on the show, but she, you know, there was no pre-up. I think they had said that they wanted their divorce to be super private. So there's really not a lot of like concrete facts out there anyway. A lot of it was just rumors and speculation, but it was said that they, you know, he had split the money and obviously Adele is an absolute superstar and that there was cheating involved and it's just crazy, crazy stuff.
Starting point is 00:24:39 But I feel like this is just like Chloe Kardashian revenge body, you know? Like Chloe Kardashian has her show where it's just like that post-life, just getting yourself happy and fit and healthy and being in a good mindset. And I just hope that's where Adele is. It seems like it. So we have sad, sad news for everybody today. Unfortunately, Cara Delavine and Ashley Benson have called it quits after two years. And after living together, they have now gone their separate ways.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And they are living their life separately with good friends. Apparently, sources are saying, this is very upsetting. I really thought that Kara and Ashley Benson were going to make it. But Cara Delavine, listen, I have no idea. idea what happened between them, but I know that that girl, she can't be locked down. She cannot be locked down. That's what, that's what I'm assuming. Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think we both could see Kara not being fully into just the monogamous lifestyle as for, you know, for the rest of her life. But you know, you never know, but it seems like this, um,
Starting point is 00:26:28 this came out of nowhere, I think. I had they, everything we heard about them, that they were doing well and this and that and they're living together. But Enews has learned that they have split, and they said that Cara is enjoying being single and spending time with great friends. They have been public for some time, like you said, two years. They've been together. They've been living together. They said it was Cara's first real home in L.A.
Starting point is 00:26:54 So it's crazy, and it's also just kind of sad, because E listed all these quotes from, previous sources when it came to talking about their relationship. So like this one says, it's a different type of relationship with a lot of understanding, support, and loving communication. They just do normal things like get coffee,
Starting point is 00:27:15 walk the dog, go to the movies. They like to stay home together a lot and just chill. They are very sweet and loving together. They're always doing simple, nice things for each other, and it all comes very easy and naturally. They are committed to one another and very much in love.
Starting point is 00:27:28 So I'll just rip your heart out. I know, it's so disappointing. The last time we saw them outside, they were getting a sex bench into their home. It's disappointing to see that that sex bench didn't keep them together. I thought it would. But I'm sure we'll see Cara Delavine dating somebody else very soon. Before Ashley Benson, I feel like we always saw her out with people. And I like that.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Yeah. Another one bites the dust. Listen. I wasn't expecting now I was going to say that there's a lot of couples breaking up but I don't think there's as many as I think like I'm thinking j-cote and christicabalari and car and Ashley but I thought people would just stick it out you know I thought they could do it but in my head this is what I'm envisioning they got into one blowout fight and boom it was done they went on their separate ways or one of them was cheating on the other one or it just wasn't working out those are the possibilities I don't I think that quarantine has really gotten to people. It's definitely, definitely possible. And I think they have been such great friends. Maybe they came to the, maybe they just thought like,
Starting point is 00:28:41 oh, we're better off his friends or, you never know. After two years, though, after two years of dating. Sometimes. Yeah. I don't know. You never know. But it's crazy. I did really like them together, but.
Starting point is 00:28:58 I know, I loved them together. I remember how excited we were? Yeah. Yeah. They were a fan favorite for sure. It was wild because remember we thought Kara and Paris Jackson were dating and we were hyped about that and all of a sudden she was taking Ashley Benson. Hibed about that too.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Yeah, we were hyped about that too. So I'm sad about this one. Yeah, definitely. Even though most of us are at home right now, I'm sure you've kept a busy schedule of emails, laundry, cleaning your house, whatever it may be, and you're probably thinking about what you're going to eat for lunch, what you're going to eat for dinner, you're worrying about going to the grocery store. And then he, they released the name of this child. And, um, it's preposterous. It's, it's just symbols. X, A, E. I don't know what this symbol is, the AE symbol. I've never seen it before. Um, the A and the E, they're combined into one thing. So X, A, E, A, T, A, T, A, T, T,
Starting point is 00:31:40 is the written, the written form of this child's name. I would like to say that I hate them for this. I absolutely hate them for this. I think that you are an asshole if you name your child something like this. And that's a straight up fact. You cannot defend yourself if you end up naming your child something like this. You can't say, oh, well, it means this and it means that. No one really cares, honestly, at the end of the day, what your name means.
Starting point is 00:32:09 it's just a name. It's something to call you by. It's something to remember you. And they're going to have a terrible time in school. They're going to get bullied. Everyone's going to hate them because their name is going to be so hard to pronounce. Their teachers are going to despise them because every time they get to their name, they're going to be like, how do you pronounce this? It's a disaster waiting to happen for this kid. And like, is that his first name and middle name? Or like, is that just his name? Like, did they get rid of Musk, does he even have the name Musk? It's Musk because Elon tweeted, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, Musk.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I now call this kid blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah, blah, Musk. Grimes, his real name is Claire. That's, I mean, why do you think, like, they just give themselves bizarre names. So Grimes explain this, kind of. In tweets, it still doesn't really make sense.
Starting point is 00:33:08 so she wrote X is for the unknown variable. The AE... You. Why? Also, she put a sword emoji next to that. So then it was AE is my elven spelling of AI, love and or artificial intelligence. And then A12 equals the precursor to SR17, which is their favorite aircraft. and she wrote no weapons, no defenses, just speed.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Great in battle, but nonviolent. Plus the A equals Archangel, my favorite song. And then at the end, she did a sword and a mouse emoji and wrote metal rat. So I don't really know. maybe they'll have different Nate, they'll call him something else. Like, maybe they'll, I don't know. I don't know. Do you realize how out of touch these people are with reality to name their kids something
Starting point is 00:34:19 like this? Yeah, I mean, they're wildly out of touch. But I just feel like that's Elon Musk. What kind of drugs are they on? For real. Like, I am baffled, absolutely baffled, that somebody would actually sit there and name their child something like this. It's so weird because it truly is shocking.
Starting point is 00:34:44 But when I see Elon Musk do shit like this, now I'm just like, okay, you know? It's like, okay, you're just an asshole. Like, it's the same. He just, and all week, not even all week, like all month he's been, all month, all of since we've known him, he's done ridiculous things.
Starting point is 00:35:03 And some have been great and some have been, preposterous and just impossible. And the last two things, the last two Elon Musk headlines have been like, you know, Tesla's stock price was like, was doing well and he went on and said, oh, Tesla is valued way too high.
Starting point is 00:35:22 And so then Tesla immediately went down. It's just, and then the other thing was that he said he just wants to sell everything he owns, including his house. And like he wants to give up everything he has. So, I don't know. He just sends weird shit out.
Starting point is 00:35:36 There's just weird shit happens in that house. And you know it. Just remember, who was it that said she got stuck in the house? Azalea Banks, right? Yes. I mean, who knows it? I do not trust Azalea Banks at all. But that story was insane.
Starting point is 00:35:54 There is just got to be some weird, weird, weird shit going on. And this baby's name is proof. And, you know, Trent blogged this. And, you know, Trent has a hatred for Elon Musk. And even he said it was hard. He's like, look, you never really want to be making fun of babies. And that is very true. It's like this poor kid.
Starting point is 00:36:18 It's not his fault. It's just, it's his parents. Like, you can shit on his parents for giving this poor child symbols as a name. Oh, yeah. I hope that this baby grows up and runs away from Elon and Grimes with, with their money and find some nice parents that will rename him a normal name. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Or he could just change his name himself. And I just, I'm not going to, I'm not going to shit on the child. I'm not because that's not nice. But I will shit on Elon and Grimes. Because once again, they are assholes. For our feel good segment today, number one, we want to say thank you to all of the nurses out there. It's National Nurse Day. I know this is coming out on Thursday, so it's not today.
Starting point is 00:37:35 But we're Dave or Pine. We're recording this on Wednesday. And Wednesday today is National Nurse Day. And we just want to acknowledge that, acknowledge all the nurses out there. We love our nurse listeners. You guys are fantastic. And we're just here to hype you guys up. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:55 We appreciate you guys so much. You guys keep going to work while other people. are saying at home, putting yourself at risk to save lives out there. So we very, very much appreciate you. And we thank you guys for listening to our show. Hopefully we're helping you through these times. I'm seeing a lot of DMs from nurses saying that, you know, they're listening to us on their night shift or whatever it may be. Yeah. And that just warms my heart. So whatever we can do to make you guys feel better, we want to do that. So thank you very much. We love you guys. Noah, add in some like big, maybe like a big round of applause.
Starting point is 00:38:29 something something really something really big i maybe like an orchestra or like just they they they deserve it all yeah they really deserve it all yeah yeah that's exactly what i was talking about yep yep i i i know exactly what you were talking about so yes like like we said thank you guys so much um and the second thing i want to mention is just another quick Just another quick Harry Potter moment for those out there who love Harry Potter. Maybe don't. Maybe you've never listened or watched or read or whatever. They have been putting out a ton of Wizarding World at Home content.
Starting point is 00:39:13 They just announced that chapter, they will be reading chapters of Sorcerer Stone, the first book, the full book, and each chapter is being read by a different celebrity, a different star, whether they have to do with Harry Potter or not. The video is insanely calming. Like if you, even if you don't like Harry Potter, I just cannot imagine this not being soothing. Like, I plan on listening to this before I go to bed.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Noah, just put in the one second. You don't have to put in too much, but Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter himself, is reading the first chapter. Hi, I'm Daniel Radcliffe, and this is chapter one of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Star. And it just starts and he's like, hello, I'm Daniel Radcliffe.
Starting point is 00:40:03 It's just so, it's so soothing. I really hope Emma Watson reads a chapter, but it's like Dakota Fanning, David Beckham, like so many people are going to be doing this. And just a genius idea. Maybe I'll give it a listen, honestly. I have never read the Harry Potter books before, so maybe now's my time. This is a great way to do it, where you just have a celebrity. Breeze, read it to you. It's like the calm app, but Harry Potter. I could fall asleep to this tonight.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, you just started. And it's chapter one, the boy who lived. And it's just Daniel Radcliffe reading. And it's fantastic. You know what? I got chills on my spine just from you saying that. So yeah, my horrible British accent. So imagine the real thing. Listen to you. Before we get into our listen to your heart, recap with Trent. Coorslight dropped this line because when life is hard, we want everyone to wrap themselves in something soft. So all the proceeds will be going to help workers affected by COVID-19. It's week four. We are back. We have Trent with us.
Starting point is 00:43:48 this week will probably be more of an actual recap. We regret to inform you all, even though last week was so much fun with everyone. You know, they're busy people. Can't have them all the time. And we're back to talk about the show. I saw people commenting, oh, can you guys do this every week? We would love to have them on every week. We would never be able to get them on every week. Yeah. Maybe Dylan and Hannah, but not Tyler. Definitely not Tyler. And I mean, poor Hannah, like, I wouldn't want to like, the thing is, is Dylan totally was their post.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Oh, yeah. Like Hannah, like, Hannah would be like, we really have to do this every week. Yeah, exactly. I forgot how many funny moments there were. When you guys put up a post and were like, you know, comment on your funniest moment, they were like, Dylan eating was something I'd forgotten about. That shit was so funny. He was like, don't, like, don't eat. And he's like, I'm just going to try to eat a little bit.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Yeah, like, are you actually trying to eat chips while we're recording a podcast? Um, no, the whole thing was hilarious. We love those three so much. They're, they're just amazing. Um, but we're back for week four to talk about this week. And you know what? When Chris Harrison came on the show, he told Ria and I, you know, week four, where, you know, things just wait, big episode, things are changing. That man, boy, does he know what he's doing? Because it's, it's him. Chris Harrison was the one to come in and fuck shit up. Like, Chris was like, all right, guys, you guys are going on dates. But, but it's not what the person you're in a couple with. And like, what, the day the episode airs, he's saying to Ria and I, like, there's a twist.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Yeah, I can't believe that happened, although I can, honestly, it would be naive to think they were just going to go on being happy. But it really goes to show that, yes, of course, the Bachelor, it's about love, they want people to fall in love. But for listen to your heart, they really just want views and they want good TV and they want entertainment because they did not give a fuck about these couples. and they said, we're going to break them up. They're really, they're taking advantage of a show
Starting point is 00:45:50 since it's so new and there are no rules. They're like, we're just going to do whatever we want. And we had actually mentioned it on the recap with Tyler and Hannah and Dillen. Like, are these people able to swap? Like, can they give their rows to someone else? Sure enough, the next week, Chris Harrison walks in and he's like, we're going to switch you guys up. The main point of it all was because of the Brandon,
Starting point is 00:46:10 Julia, and Sheridan love triangles. So it was just, I love that they're just taking advantage of, There's no rules, so we're going to do whatever we want every week. Right. Chris Harrison and the producers, they set to themselves, Julia clearly doesn't want to be with Sheridan. She wants to be with Brandon. How do we get Julia and Brandon to now go on a date? Because we've reached the point where that's not happening.
Starting point is 00:46:31 So they had to have that happen. Of course, that is what goes down. But we could start from the beginning. Brand. Okay. I was looking at my tweets, and I didn't realize that I was looking at my tweets to see what I said at the beginning of the show. I forgot that I tweeted about another Disney sing-along because they're doing another one on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:46:53 And I was like, another Disney sing-along. Thank you. And Tad Mills. And I didn't realize that he replied, I'll tip you off this time so you don't lose any bets. So funny. Just a top listener that he's just like, oh, God, let's make sure Fran doesn't have to do any more TikToks. Okay. Like I said, Chris Harrison came in.
Starting point is 00:47:16 told them all that they're going on dates. It was Chris and Rudy and, oh boy, Chris and Rudy went on a date. Chris Rudy, obviously Julia Brandon. Jamie and Ryan. Ryan and Jamie. And Julia and Brandon. Now, this was, I thought, so funny because obviously they had to force two other couples to mix up, like, who they didn't care about their date at all. Like this was all just so they could get Julia and Brandon together. And they were like, all right, we're sending Chris and Rudy to the backyard there. We're giving them a pair of binoculars. Knock yourselves out.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Have a great time. Jamie and Ryan, like, we saw them on screen for two seconds. They were like, we're friends. This is nice. And then it was. It was. And then they get to Julia and Brandon's date and they're like, you guys are going to write an entire song here on the spot. And then you're going to perform it.
Starting point is 00:48:15 It's like, all right. We all knew that this was the reason they were doing it, and it was really funny the way that they did it. Right. It was funny how they had this extravagant date, and the other two, they were kind of like, we just have to throw you in here. Yeah. It was so ridiculous. And when Julia left for the date, she was reassuring Sheridan.
Starting point is 00:48:36 She would feel so, so good about them, can't imagine this changing anything. It was just a whole lot of books. bullshit. And like you said, it was just kind of hilarious that these other people had to go on these dates. But these dates that were not dates, Julie and Brandon, they sent them to the Roxy. It was this whole big thing. They're writing this song.
Starting point is 00:49:01 And it's so weird because I just, like, I don't really feel any connection between the two of them. It just, like, weirdly feels super forced. Like, I don't know why that there's, like, Julia was so. adamant about going after Brandon. Especially after last week when she was still, well, she was already doubting it, but then they had such a great performance where they were like Sheridan and Julia, they had such a good performance.
Starting point is 00:49:30 That was awesome. You would think that would put to bed Julia's thoughts of like, oh, maybe I want to be with Brandon. And I just don't understand the allure of Brandon. Like he's just a dick. Yeah. Yeah. And he's very condescending.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Like the way he talks to the women, like it was just, I feel like he's, He's very rude. And it was such a weird thing. He says sweetie entirely too much. I mean, we'll get to that because he talks to Savannah and Julia. And he just keeps calling them sweetie and like, oh, shut up. Hate sweetie. Like, sweetie.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Like, sweetie is fine when your, like, grandpa calls you sweetie. But, like, not, like, I don't want my boyfriend calling me sweetie. I don't want, like, it feels condescending and rude. And, like, there's no, like, cute way of being like, ooh, sweet. Like you sound like an asshole. Right. It's like when girls say like, oh, sweetie, like when they're trying to like dis another girl. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Like, if my, if Hank ever called me sweetie, I would break up in the house. Like, that's it. That's it. It's just over. And they made this even sadder because Julian and Brennan were on this date. And then they kept cutting to Sheridan in the mansion just like writing a sad boy love song. He's on the piano. He's singing about like.
Starting point is 00:50:47 giving love a chance and like holding on. And it was just so depressing. There's nothing our guy Sheridan loves more than journaling. Oh. He's journaling. And I was just picturing him journaling about Julianne and pressing so hard that it went through to the second page and he like couldn't use those pages. It's, you know, there's nothing wrong with journaling, but Sheridan loves him a good journal.
Starting point is 00:51:09 I would pay probably $300 for Sheridan's journal. I will match you that and we can pay $600 because I want to see it. Okay. Fran, Fran, throw $300 in there. We'll go $900 for Sheridan's a journal. I would, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll do it up. I'll dish it up.
Starting point is 00:51:27 Yeah, yeah, for sure. Sheridan, we will give you $900 for your journal. That is the final offer. Please get back to us. Yes. I'm sure there's some great things in there. Specifically from the show. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:51:42 I don't want your journal. Oh, I don't want Sheridan's. I specifically want the Julia. and Brandon pages. Right. I want the dates of Listen to Your Heart. How much would you pay for that one specific page? $300.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I feel like that it's, I feel like it's still the same amount. We will give you $900 for just that one page. Come on the podcast and read it out loud on this podcast. Yes. That works too. We won't pay you for that, but yes. So like I said, Sheridan's playing this sad song
Starting point is 00:52:18 and everybody comes back from their date. We knew something was going to happen when Julia and Brandon came back. Everybody was like, oh, shit, the jig is up. And Julia immediately grabbed Sheridan, basically went to break up with him, but just like, she just needed to spit it out. Like, she was like, oh, like, it's just so hard. Like, it just was talking around the situation, and Sheridan, rightfully so,
Starting point is 00:52:48 was like uh-huh okay like he not he wasn't sassy by any means like i thought he handled it so well then julia's like why are you being so mean like he's not being mean you're breaking up with him and he's the one being mean you cannot call the person you're breaking up with mean they are allowed to be mean to you and he wasn't even being mean he just he just went with the shutdown where you just completely shut down and you're like yeah okay which to me says that that Sheridan kind of expected this. And if he's been paying attention at all to what Julia and Brandon have kind of their dynamic has been, he kind of had to know that they came back way later than the other two fake dates.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Something must be going on. And then he just realized, all right. So I knew this was coming. So the quicker we can get this over with, the quicker I can leave. Yeah. He definitely knew because even when she left on the date, he was like, oh, you know, I think Julia has a history of picking, like, the bad guy. I hope, like, this is the time where she picks the nice guy.
Starting point is 00:53:47 but who knows. So I'm sure he had some kind of idea. And, you know, he had stood up and he was like, I wish you the best with Brandon. And Julia was like, you're just going to walk away. And Sheridan hit us with maybe one of the saddest lines this show has ever seen during a breakup. Even for all the Bachelor shows,
Starting point is 00:54:08 he just said, I'm laughing so that I don't cry. It was so heartbreaking. This poor man. Like you just, it was impossible not to be like, oh, Sheridan. And Julia just ripped his heart out. And away he went, packed his bags, and he was gone. What do you guys think? A damn shame.
Starting point is 00:54:32 What do you guys, I know, it is a damn shame. And I think Sheridan, if there's anybody on this show who has a potential to be on other bachelor programs, I think Sheridan is a top pick. Like if Sheridan walked down the stairs in Paradise, I think people would go fucking nuts. I think they would love that. I think there's a very real possibility that he shows up in paradise. Yeah, I'm with you on that. What do you think about them just going home right away?
Starting point is 00:54:56 Because clearly, if Julia wants to be with Brandon and Brandon wants to be with Julia, which will get to that where he sort of wants to be with Julie, sort of wants to be with Savannah, do you think there should be an opportunity where Sheridan and Savannah try to make something work or should they just go right home? I mean, at this point I kind of get it just because the whole emphasis, is like finding love and I feel like they would look it would look kind of bad if people could just like switch up and then there's no connection like Sheridan and Savannah Sheridan probably knew
Starting point is 00:55:28 he didn't have any of those other connections and like it's just time to go at that's fair that makes sense yeah I think that's just how how it's going to how it's going to go but Brandon like so Brandon and Savannah are having conversation and Brandon didn't even really have have the balls to tell Savannah what had happened. He had kind of talked around it the whole time. And then Savannah basically broke up with him. Like, Savannah was like, I'm not going to be her second choice. I'm out here. And she left. Like, he didn't even really break up with her on his own. I was really, really sad to see Savannah go because, first of all, I really liked her style. And I thought that she was one of the best girls in the house. I think in the beginning, we thought
Starting point is 00:56:14 she was going to be super wild, but we didn't really see that from her. I thought she was just normal. It seemed like she was better than Brandon, so I was actually happy that she was like, hey, I'm not going to be your second choice. I'm out of here. I love that move because you can't allow this guy to just keep going back and forth between Julia and another girl. He's never going to make up his mind then.
Starting point is 00:56:37 So if she leaves, he gives, you know, just gives him one option at that point, and that's it. Right. Brandon is a classic, keep your op. He's keeping his options open. Like, Julia clearly went to Sheridan and was like, this is what it's going to be like. She may not have, you know, um, set it in the right way where it's like, I'm going to go be with Brandon. But at least she knew that's where her feelings were. I think Brandon went to Savannah where he was like, I can come out of this and still be with Savannah and leave Julia high. And I mean, when Savannah, Savannah was like, I want to be chosen. I want to be your number one. And he was like, okay, you're, you're the one I pick, forget about Julia. Like, I'm picking you now. And she was like, what the fuck you just told me you were with Julia and like now you want to be with me? And obviously she was over and she just said, fuck it. Um, and left, thankfully, which is good because he sucks. I feel like he's just like a coward. I do not, I do not like him at all. Um, but that leaves Julia and Brandon to be together, obviously. And so then we, This is, you know, a scene that I'm sure we have a lot to discuss. So it's the next day or whatever. And Natasha's talking to Brandon. And they're sitting around the table. They're talking about the breakup and what it happened. And Julia comes to sit down. And Natasha's like, oh, Julia, like, you may want, you may want some earmuffs right now. No, she said, she didn't even say you may want. She demanded she put earmuffs.
Starting point is 00:58:13 on. I thought that this was, first of all, a bad bitch move by Natasha, but also so weak of Julia to just put the earmuffs on. Who in their right mind would do that? If somebody said to me and they were like, Ria, earmuffs right now, I'd say, fuck you, you put earmuffs on. Are you out of your mind? I would go up to them, take their hands and put it over their ears themselves. Because that's insane that you would just listen to somebody telling you to do that. I want to know what you are about to say about me. So I'm actually not going to put earmuffs on. Right.
Starting point is 00:58:49 If you're an adult and someone says put earmuffs on, they're clearly, I mean, they're trying to protect you, quote, unquote, from something that's about to be said. You should just start physically fighting them. Just immediately start fighting if someone is like put earmuffs on. I cannot believe that Julia did it. I cannot then believe when Natasha asked brand the question
Starting point is 00:59:07 that he answered honestly. Like, just lie, dude. You've been lying the whole time. It was insane. It was insane. If you are told to put earmuffs on, then that person thinks of you as a child. And it's Hastia thinks of Julia as a child.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Yeah. And it's also not even that. It's like, I thought the way she said it was kind of like joking, like, ooh, like Julia's about to hear something. She doesn't want to hear. So she's like, oh, Julia may want to put your earmuffs on, you know.
Starting point is 00:59:33 And then she actually fucking didn't. Like, and she was like, oh Savannah she's like Natasha asked if Savannah had said to him I'm in it to win it with you like what he would have done and and Brandon was like
Starting point is 00:59:49 yeah I would have I would have stayed with her Julia's sitting there like a little naive he's right there with what are you talking about and by the way also doesn't work they don't work earmuffs don't work doesn't work everyone who doesn't pretend
Starting point is 01:00:04 that they can't hear what's going on it's literally I tried for a good next, like the next 15 minutes, I tried to close out all the sound in my apartment with earmuffs. It just does not work. Like if she really dedicated, I'd be like, it's just crazy to me that if she went fully in like ears plugged, finger in her ear, humming to herself, like that's the only way you can truly not hear something
Starting point is 01:00:30 is if you're like, you know, singing in your head or humming or making noise or something. but even then I just don't know why you wouldn't want to hear the question that Natasha is about to ask the person that you're now coupled up with it was so incredibly ridiculous one of the more ridiculous things that's ever happened
Starting point is 01:00:52 is the fact that that we're doing we're doing hand earmuffs and actually pretending like no like that's that works yeah and Chris Harrison said in our interview that Julia does something that they've never seen done before, and I did not know that he meant earmuffs because he was right. That is something that we have never seen done before on this show. Yep. It really is the beauty of the show where at no point before 8 o'clock on Monday night
Starting point is 01:01:18 that I think the main thing I was going to be thinking about for the next two hours was whether or not earmuffs actually work. But that's what happened because Julia was like, oh, I actually don't want to hear when Natasha and Brander are about to talk about, so I'm going to do it. Just absolutely ridiculous. So insane. And then right, whatever, the night of their competition, of all of them singing again, Natasha talks to Julia again about what Brandon had said that he would have stayed with Savannah
Starting point is 01:01:46 if she had led him. And, you know, just perfect timing from Natasha, honestly. Like, Natasha, absolute baller. She has been a great addition to this show. And she, Julia, did not like that. She did not think Natasha was coming from a good place. She said it felt very vindictive and dirty. And honestly, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:02:12 But, and I also think, like, it's very possible that Natasha brought it up thinking, like, Julia had heard the first time. Right. Like, me. Yeah, like, you know, like, when you had your earmuffs on, like, and, and, you, but she really is going with the fact that she couldn't hear. Absolutely insane. Yeah, that's when I turned on Julia for sure.
Starting point is 01:02:40 I mean, I was little skeptical about her before, but you think when Natasha tells her, hey, Brandon would have picked Savannah if she would have been okay with that? And she immediately, Julia, turns around and starts blaming Natasha for telling her the truth. It's like you don't have your priorities in order whatsoever. Julia also has no one else but to blame but herself
Starting point is 01:02:59 because she put earmuffs on. she could have easily heard the answer herself. Like even if she didn't put earmuffs on, Natasha's going to continue with that line of questioning to Brandon. Yes. And Ria, I thought it was funny. I remember you had tweeted, like, when Julia had said, like, performers just don't do that to other performers.
Starting point is 01:03:17 And you're like, what the fuck planet are you on? Like, this is a competition. People are trying to win. She wants to go to the end. Like, yeah, maybe this was a little bit of sabotage. If that's the case, yeah, this is a competition. Good for Natasha. It's a game she's trying to.
Starting point is 01:03:31 to win and I support her. Yeah. So this week, the judges, unfortunately were not Kesha, Jason Maraz. Would have loved it but if they had just been the permanent judges. But I did like the squad
Starting point is 01:03:47 was great. It was Rachel and Brian, Rachel Lindsay and her husband Brian and Andy Grammer and Tony Braxton. I don't know who that middle guy is. I still don't know. Tony Braxton? No, no, no. Andy grammar.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Andy Grammer. Oh, Andy Grammer. Was he... You know who Andy Graham is. Hear me out, though. Hear me out. I don't know who Andy Grammar is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:10 If you... Wait. Friend, I want to see something silly right now. Do it. Okay. Do it. Oh, no. He was on Dancing with the Stars.
Starting point is 01:04:19 Okay. I think. He's a producer? Nah, nah, honey, I'm good. I don't know, but I probably should not. I guess... I don't know the words, if it's... I don't know.
Starting point is 01:04:31 You know what you're doing that for? If it's supposed to remind me of Andy Grammer. Yes, I was ready. You don't know the song? That's Andy Grammer. That's his song. He's a recording artist, is what you're saying? Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:41 He sings that song. Fran. Yes, Ria. Yeah. He was on Sonny with the chance. Oh, wow. I mean, that is... I was going to say that, but I was like that.
Starting point is 01:04:50 That is a deep reference. Yeah, I was like, oh, that's crazy. He definitely wasn't, but I just typed it in. He was. No disrespect to Andy Grammer. This is completely on me. I just didn't know. After the Star-Stubes.
Starting point is 01:05:01 cast of of Kesha and uh jason morass i just didn't know who anti-grammer was is he the one you gotta keep your head up oh gotta let your hair down hey i i fine is that fine by me i think so i think i think so yes noah that is him i just checked yeah yeah yeah that's it's called yes head up by any grammar i'm the one that i always go to is honey i'm good nah nah honey i'm good Mom would probably could not. My apologies to any grammar for not knowing of you. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:05:37 So let's get to the performances. Matt and Rudy kicked it off. They sang Tennessee whiskey by Chris Stableton, and they once again crushed it. Matt and Rudy are becoming a favorite, and I really hope that they're able to figure it out. The trailer for the next few episodes made me nervous, because it seems like maybe Matt is maybe Matt knows that Rudy's like just a really fucking good singer
Starting point is 01:06:07 and maybe the actual feelings aren't there. As if that's the case, I'm going to be pissed because I'm starting to love Rudy. I think so I'm still not totally clear on what the prize is at the end of this. I'm not sure if anybody knows. But Rhea has... Are you just going to keep doing this until we acknowledge you holding scissors? in your face? No, in my head, I was having fun, like, interacting with each of you without talking. You know, like, I made the eye contact with Trent. I made the eye contact with Noah. Like, I just felt
Starting point is 01:06:43 good about that. I wasn't trying to get you guys to say it out loud. I thought we were on the same page there, but I realized we... Okay. No. One of the prizes, I think, is that these people maybe get to go on tour. And we were kind of, like, when that came over, like, I don't know if I'd pay to see any of these people on tour. Matt and Rudy, they are people that I would go and see and watch them perform because I think they're really good. I also can't stop thinking Max and Ruby. Ruby and Max. Trent, you're too old for that. Damn, I knew it. I knew I was too old for that. I was just going to sit here and hopefully that my age didn't come up.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Yeah, I'm sorry. I had to bring it up. That's okay. I'm kind of too old for that too, but I had younger family members that watched it. I loved Max and Ruby. but anyways. Another amazing reference, Ria. Okay. The next people... Someone put a mugged on me.
Starting point is 01:07:36 The next couple was Trevor and Jamie. Once again, Jamie is stage right city. This girl seems like she hates performing. Like, it's tough for her to get up there. They sang, like, I'm going to lose you. It was fine. Obviously, everybody,
Starting point is 01:07:58 knew that she was super nervous. Like even the judges were like, it's clear that you were very nervous, figured it out towards the end. Trevor, like, kind of acted like it was a solo performance, I thought. And once again, you just saw them being very sad. And I got so annoyed because after they ended, they did this twice. After they ended, they kept cutting to Trevor and Jamie backstage, like, consoling each other during Chris and Breeze,
Starting point is 01:08:28 performance of Lover. I'm like, I don't give a shit about them fighting. I want to hear Chris in Breesing Lover stop cutting to Jamie crying about being nervous. Jamie is, yeah, she, you're right, she might need to pick a new profession if she's going to get this nervous. And I was, I was also annoyed that they kept cutting back and forth, what I will say, and not to jump too far ahead, but Trevor better watch out now that Brandon has gone home because we kind of forgot about Trevor for a couple of weeks and how, you know, he's got this cheating history. And he was kind of the asshole in the house before we knew about Brandon. I think we're going to get back to Trevor being the villain of the house.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Yeah. Yeah, I hope so because I was calling that a while back and I'm getting nervous that we haven't seen anything from Trevor. But I think now that, you know, we skipped ahead, but Brandon and Julia did get sent home and Trevor and Jamie stayed. And I think that was solely because we needed to see Trevor fuck up some more because Brandon already fucked up enough. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:09:25 Chris and Bree sang lover which was obviously fantastic. Phenomenal. They ended with each other with them saying I love you to each other. They're just, they're incredibly in love and they're super cute as of right now.
Starting point is 01:09:39 We'll see what happens, but it was really, really sweet. Brandon and Julia sang, we belong. And Rachel Lindsay said it all. It took two seconds of them performing
Starting point is 01:09:54 for Rachel to turn to Brian and be like, they have no chemistry. And she was spot on. Also, Brandon not knowing that song, like, how could you possibly be a musician and have this be your career or wanted to be your career and not know that song?
Starting point is 01:10:19 Shocking to me. Yeah, it's definitely a very well-known song. I think there are some people on here Brandon might be one of them where he's just like he likes music and his voice is okay and he's just on the show to be like I think Brandon's the worst singer by far of all of them like Brandon just like he has that that gravel like the husky voice but he just sings like one tone of that the whole way and I just it's just it's a I don't like it Julia was falling all over this guy and sent Sheridan packing for somewhat as inadequate as Brandon. Yeah, yeah. So even the judges knew that they were very obviously having a weird time.
Starting point is 01:11:04 And then Ryan and Tasha sang, you are the best thing. Once again, amazing performance from Natasha. And Ryan, Ryan knows that he hit the jackpot. Not only is Natasha absolutely beautiful, but she has such an amazing voice. And Grammar was super impressed. and everybody was very impressed by them. And of course, that pissed off Julia so much because she just thought that Julia, that Natasha came for her.
Starting point is 01:11:35 And maybe she did. Maybe she did. At this point, Ryan, Ryan should just offer to be Natasha's manager. Like, behind the scene, you'll be like, hey, I'll just represent you. During this competition, I'll go out there and I'll try my best. But he's got to do something because, like Jason Maraz said last week,
Starting point is 01:11:51 she is going to just bolt right past him in terms of super starting. Yeah. Yeah. It's very true. They were fantastic. We went into the Rose ceremony. Obviously, we had said, I thought maybe there was a chance that Brandon and Julia were going to get saved so that the Julia and Natasha drama could continue.
Starting point is 01:12:11 But that didn't happen. Thankfully, they, Julia and Brandon went home. Like you, like you guys said, it opens the door for us to go back to Trevor. I'm sure we're going to see some commitment issues from Trevor. It seemed like like Jamie was thinking about telling him she loves him or said that she loves him. And Trevor was like, uh, they have a big age difference too. So like, that was just never going to work in the first place. And of course, it ended with Julia.
Starting point is 01:12:45 You know, they get, they're both leaving. They both get into the car. they're like nothing's going to happen between me and Brandon. Yeah, no shit. And she was like, she said, I wish I could go back and choose Sheridan. Well, there you. They can't. Was it the, going back to the performances for one second, was it the Julia and Brandon performance that somebody said it sounded like it was a karaoke performance? Yes. Yes. Lucky. That's the meanest thing you can say to a person who was trying to be a professional singer. Like you sound like someone when I go to a bar on a Saturday night
Starting point is 01:13:18 and they set up the microphone. That's who you sound like. That is one of the most disrespectful and funny things that has been said all season. Rachel Lindsay, she says she is, she's the best. I think Rachel's so funny. She's just like, and it wasn't even like Tony Braxton or Andy Grammer or Rachel who was like, it was kind of like a karaoke performance.
Starting point is 01:13:36 Shout out to Tony Braxton who just wanted people to fuck on stage. She was just like, if you guys aren't, if you guys aren't making me uncomfortable to the point where I think you're going to have sexual intercourse in front of all of us, then I don't want to have anything to do with it. Totally. She wanted things to get steamy. And you could tell when, like, Ryan and Natasha were out there,
Starting point is 01:13:55 and she was like, ooh, like it's, wanted it to happen. Ryan and Natasha came close to having sex on stage. At one point, they're using the same microphone. Yeah. She got her hand on the back of his head. It's like. Oh, yeah. It was steamy.
Starting point is 01:14:09 I liked it. Also, Julia, don't, I mean, Brandon stinks at singing. We know that. But when she got off stage and she was like, you left me alone out there. You seemed like you weren't into it. Like, look at yourself in the mirror one time, Julia. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:24 She drives me crazy. Yep. And that was it. That's it for them. Say goodbye to Julia and Brandon. And it'll be interesting to see what happens the rest of this. It's got to be between, I feel like it's going to be between Chris and Brie and Ryan and Natasha.
Starting point is 01:14:44 because I feel like Ryan and Natasha have like a pact where like maybe even if the connection isn't totally there that they're both like super talented and know that they could probably win and Chris and Bree are like mad mad madly in love right and max max I'm sorry I say max and ruby god damn it and Matt and Rudy are Matt and Rudy and Trevor and Jamie might like self-implode so Chris and Bree I like them a lot they're very cute cute and they're clearly the most in-love couple and they perform very well together. That thing is moving really fast. Really fast.
Starting point is 01:15:21 Like they were in a guitar center together. They said they were falling in love with each other. And then on stage in front of everybody, Bree was like, I just told him I love him for the first time. Holy shit. The preview made it look like they could potentially be getting married on this show. Like it was pretty bizarre.
Starting point is 01:15:38 Like it was, it did seem like they could have been a proposal or something. or who knows. I hope it lasts forever because if they end up up breaking up a couple weeks after the show, I'm going to be really sad about that. Right.
Starting point is 01:15:52 I mean, this was filmed, who knows how long ago, so it'd be interesting to see if any of these people are still together. Don't tell me. Nobody's spoiled for me. Yeah, I don't want to know. Yeah, I don't want to know.
Starting point is 01:16:03 I don't want to know either. Okay, I think that wraps it up for this week. Any last thoughts, gang? Do you think they will do I guess probably not anymore. They probably won't do any more couple swaps, right? They're too far down the line now.
Starting point is 01:16:19 I think, yeah, I think they're, because nobody has shown any interest to anybody else. They needed to like fake that to get Julian Brandon together. That's true. Like any other date where they swap, it would just be like Kristen and Rudy
Starting point is 01:16:33 standing in the backyard with binoculars. Yeah, that's true. I think we're going to see a lot more Trevor Jamie drama coming up. That seems like the one last thing that there's going to be some controversy. We are here with a very special guest, Hillary Burton. Oh, my God, sorry.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Hillary Burton Morgan. I, I never get started. I was like, wait a second. It's Hillary Burton, but do I say Morgan as well? Give you the whole thing. Hillary Burton Morgan is here. Welcome to the show. I've been working with people with like three names forever.
Starting point is 01:17:30 My husband's a three-nameer. I wanted three names myself. So you got it. Yeah, done. Three names. Heck, heck yeah, three names is powerful. And you never forget somebody with three names. I think your husband feels the same way. Like when people say, you have to say full, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. You got to give the whole thing. It's like Jamie Lee Curtis. We're going for it. Yep, definitely.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Hillary, we're super excited. Oh, this is going to be a problem. We talk over each other all the time. And when there is a little bit of a delay, we can't realize who's talking first. It'll be a game. Whoever jumps in first, that's what we'll do. Yeah, so Fran won that round. Fran, go ahead. Okay, great.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Thank you so much. Yeah. Who can speak over each other the most? Fran, winner. Okay. Hillary, we're very excited to have you here. Ria and I are huge, huge fans, and we've loved kind of following what you have got going on right now
Starting point is 01:18:31 because you have made such a change in your life. have a book coming out called The Rural Diaries, and you've gone full farm check. And I think it's awesome. We would love to hear more about this change that you guys made. Yeah, you know, I'd always glamorized the farm life as a kid. I read a lot of books about it, and so it kind of fixated on it. There was a spot in my hometown, Reston Farm Market, that it's where you went to get. your Christmas trees. It's where you went to get your pumpkins. It was this family oasis of
Starting point is 01:19:12 like good old fashioned fun. And I always kind of idolized that lifestyle. And so when I had my son, my husband and I knew that we didn't necessarily want to raise him in Los Angeles. That felt very different from our own childhoods. We didn't know how to raise a kid in L.A. What we knew was how to raise kids in small towns because that's what we grew up with. And so he He happened to do a movie in the Hudson Valley and we rented a little a frame cabin. And the next thing you know, he's like taking me to go see this long cabin in the middle of the woods. And he's like, you know, I live here. And I did.
Starting point is 01:19:50 So it was a big risk because at the time, that was like when Skype meetings were just starting. It was all brand new technology. So the idea that you could live outside of Manhattan or Los Angeles was a gamble. thankfully, the world has kind of caught up and we can work from home now and we can be productive even though we're isolated here in the Illinois. So were you, you guys were in L.A. before that, right? Yeah, I'd never lived in L.A. I moved to L.A. to be with him. I'd always lived in New York and then North Carolina. And so L.A. was really intimidating for me. And I had a lot of difficulty finding my footing there because I always just felt like that awkward, unfashionable, like,
Starting point is 01:20:41 loud girl there. I have no cool. And L.A.'s cool. And so when I moved out here, better. Like, the alpaca aren't going to make fun of me. The chickens don't care what kind of shoes I'm wearing. So I felt way more in my element. Yeah, I feel like L.A. is intimidating. We're both from France, from New Jersey. I'm from New York. We both live in New York State. So we are like New York girls through and through. And we've visited L.A. a few times. And every time we go, we're like so scared and intimidated by everyone. So many people I love live there.
Starting point is 01:21:17 And there are places that I love there. Like, I love the desert. I love the creative energy that comes out of Los Angeles. I love my industry. But me personally, felt like a big dork, like the whole time I was there. You like, what? I feel like this is an easy question, but people always say New York City or L.A. Which one would you choose?
Starting point is 01:21:43 Yeah, I mean, I moved to New York literally the second I graduated high school. I applied to every college in Manhattan and just went to the one that gave me the most money. It was like, this will do. It was fine. Yeah, there's something electric about New York, and I have such a heart for it, and particularly what we're dealing with right now, the pride I have. to be a chosen New Yorker. Like you don't get to pick where you're born,
Starting point is 01:22:09 but you get to pick where you live as an adult. I'm a chosen New Yorker, and I love my city, and I love my state, and I'm so proud of the bravery that they've shown. Yeah, it's really crazy, too. And like Ria said, we're both obviously live in New York City now.
Starting point is 01:22:27 So it is really crazy, but it is something to be very proud of. I mean, Ria, I got out of Manhattan during this time. Ria is still in Manhattan, but sometimes we'll be on Zoom or talking and recording and it'll hit 7 o'clock and we can hear everybody cheering for the healthcare workers. Like, I could hear it through my headphones. That's how loud it is. And it definitely makes you so proud to, you know, have that be your city for sure.
Starting point is 01:22:56 Yeah. Well, the byproduct of living on top of each other is that you're more sensitive to the needs of your neighbor or what they're going through. There's a great deal of empathy in New York City. So it gets this reputation for being like edgy and like A out of my way. And that's just not the experience I've had. It's a really empathetic, beautiful city. Yeah, of course. And you are, you're in upstate New York, right? Yeah. We're like two hours north, which is a totally different world. Yeah, you're isolated right now from everything. How is that going? Yeah, you know, our town isn't isolated from what's going on.
Starting point is 01:23:35 We had a lot of, we had a lot of action on the COVID front up here. And so many of our friends are either EMTs or doctors or surgeons or we have a friend who's an ear, nose, and throat specialist, you know, and they're in the thick of it. And so the difference is, while you're on top of your neighbor in Manhattan, out here, it's such a small community that there's no anonymity. You know everyone. So when people say, support your nurses, well, you know them. You know, it's not some anonymous others.
Starting point is 01:24:13 So I love how connected we are up here. I love that our town is small and really supportive. And they've rallied, you know. We have started a fund where people are donating and we're using our local restaurants who are in a lot of danger economically right now. to feed our frontline workers. We're using a platform called Give and Kind that allows you to either make donations
Starting point is 01:24:39 or buy registry items or create a care schedule. So it's been all hands on deck and thankfully our community is really proactive. Yeah, that's amazing and that is definitely the small town attitude. You feel the love in a community like that. I know you talk about that in your book
Starting point is 01:25:00 and talk about, you know, kind of throwing yourself into this small town community. I read that you bought and revitalized a town candy shop. Is that right? Yeah. That is like every kid's dream. Oh, yeah. It was cool. It was cool.
Starting point is 01:25:19 I mean, it was sad circumstances. The very first friend we made in town was a man named Irit Guttner. And he had lived in Manhattan forever, had a really successful career, and decided to move upstate. and open a candy store like 25 years ago. And when we first moved here, that was Jeffrey's like, boy, that's who he like went and hung out with and like got the town gossip with and had coffee with because it's also the town coffee shop.
Starting point is 01:25:44 And he passed away unexpectedly, which was really jarring for our whole community. And we were really worried it was going to get turned into like a chain restaurant, you know, something anonymous. And so we went in with a few friends of ours, Andy Astroy and Phoebe Jonas. And then Paul and Julie Rudd and we purchased the candy store. And so, yeah, it's, it's been preserved. It'll be there forever. That's amazing.
Starting point is 01:26:12 That's amazing. Good for you guys. Yeah, I mean, it was a really good opportunity to teach our kids about business because our kids went with us to all the bank meetings, all the accountant, lawyer meetings. It was super boring for them. but now they know how to conduct themselves. And when you see your parent do something, it makes it less intimidating for you to try it as an adult.
Starting point is 01:26:37 And so it was good to have our kids along for that ride. That's awesome. So obviously you said you talked about that in your book. I don't want to spoil it too much for people because I want everyone to go by this book. But what would you say was like your favorite part of the book that you wrote? Oh man I would say talking about like
Starting point is 01:27:01 the birth of my two kids I had to do an interview yesterday and I started crying in the middle of it you would think by now with like as exhausted as I am and like as turbo as my daughter is some of the new would have worn off and I'm just so
Starting point is 01:27:15 grateful every day that I have her and that I have my son and yeah I'm a big weep you're going to make me tear up to my kids yeah yeah our kids are gifts and if you got to choose that perspective it's a choice yeah that is it's beautiful i know um people are really going to love hearing that part of your life and also now you've kind of let people into your home as well uh for friday night in friday night in with the morgans on amc you guys are
Starting point is 01:27:47 doing this from your home i mean how hard is that right now it it was my husband he saw he saw i was getting really upset with the news. I'm someone who absorbs energy and like a lot. You know, so much scary stuff going on. And I think he saw me coming to bed at night, seeing the news and just being completely overwhelmed. And so it was his idea to create just a different kind of space
Starting point is 01:28:13 for people to turn to, like a gentler, lighthearted, but still sensitive space where you can check out just like for half an hour. And so he pitched the show to AMC and didn't even tell. me about it. So I got a text on somebody at the network and they're like, hey, the show idea sounds great. It's so needed right now. And I'm sitting at my sewing machine making math. Just like,
Starting point is 01:28:37 what are you talking about? So Jeffrey Witten built a studio in our garage and now we work from our garage. That is awesome and also hilarious that he just didn't tell you about it, but figured you'd be on board. I mean, you can't go anywhere now. So you have to be on board. No, it's, nice because we have so much responsibility here at the farm and it's just us. And so we are not getting to spend time with one another. Our kids don't go to bed until like midnight. And so that half hour that we sit down with each other and talk to our friends once a week is that's like our date. That's the only time we get to see each other. And so it's been nice. It's been a good experience working together. I like him.
Starting point is 01:29:27 That's good. It's so nice to hear somebody talk about like their kids and their significant other in this way because I feel like nowadays you see so many people just like complaining about how much they hate their kids or hate having kids and they can't be stuck with their significant other. There's a lot of like a reverent humor that people are throwing out there. I actually I mentioned that on Facebook when the pandemic started and when we all went into lockdown. I noticed a lot of people were making jokes at the expense of their kids. And it's like, oh, my kids are nuts. And yes, kids are nuts.
Starting point is 01:30:07 But also, the internet is forever. And your kids are going to be able to see every joke you made at their expense one day. And so, yes, like, let's all vent and be frank. with each other and, you know, we don't have to pretend we're perfect. But the chaos of children is a gift because when they leave us and we're like begging them to call home, we'll miss all of their rowdy activity. Absolutely. I mean, the point you brought up about how the joke lives forever, I always think about that when I watch certain things. I'm like, did they not realize their kid is probably going to see this? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:51 like the 90s, that we had no idea of things would live forever. And here they are. You know what? It's a kind of a good segue because I was going to say something that has lived forever is One Tree Hill.
Starting point is 01:31:09 And I don't think it's ever going to go anywhere. Rhee and I probably have watched One Tree Hill start to finish, I mean like in the double digits amount of time. What? Yeah. Oh, you're, I, Hillary, you're talking to two super fans.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Oh, yeah. We're, yeah, we're keeping our, we're trying to keep our cool. But, like, we watched and love that show so much. Like, it's still my go-to show when I'm like, I don't, I don't want to start something new. I'm going to start something from the beginning again. It's always what one-tree Hill is. The old sweatshirt. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:48 It's comfortable. Well, my cousin actually. before I got on with you, Sophia texted me like two minutes before I got on the phone with you guys. So I will be calling her the moment we're off. That is what I absolutely also love because you guys have all stayed really close, which is so impressive. I think that's what people, why people love going back to the show also because they see you guys at these conventions and these charity events and you're all still so close. and it's so nice to see. How have you guys maintained all of those relationships?
Starting point is 01:32:26 I mean, look, we grew up together when we started the show. I was cast when I was 20 years old. I think Lafferty was like still in high school. So I was 20. Everyone else was approximately the same age. Sophia and I are born, we were born seven days apart. And so we literally turned 21 together and just like had our first big.
Starting point is 01:32:49 break on this TV show and she and I hit it running. We were just like, yes. And Joy, you know, Joy was that theater kid that I was growing up. And so to find each other at like 20, 21 years old was so great because it was like, oh, yes, you're, you're one of my people, you know. And then the boys, you know, you look at the way the boys stood by us when the whole Mark Mark Schwann thing came out. The boys always supported us.
Starting point is 01:33:19 They protected us. And I'm so in love with our little family. And, you know, we have squabbles like families do. They're few and far between. But I take a bullet for those kids. I love them. That is so nice to hear. And honestly, it makes me feel so happy from the bottom of my heart.
Starting point is 01:33:40 Because whenever we talk to people who, you know, we've loved their shows from the past. And you never know. if someone is going to be annoyed that, you know, because some, like, if you think about Disney Channel stars, some of them, they don't even want anything to do with their TV shows, but you love them so much and you just want to talk about it. So that's how we feel with One Tree Hill. I mean, my cousin just started it, and I debated not speaking to her.
Starting point is 01:34:09 I was like, that's actually a sin that you haven't seen it already. Seriously, we may not talk for a little bit. But it's just so good. My son is just like, who the hell is. Peyton Sawyer, like, why do we care? I don't know about it. He'll figure it out eventually because there... He's going to be mortified.
Starting point is 01:34:29 Right. There's just an age where I feel like, especially with... I mean, girls and boys, obviously, but I feel like you hit an age and because you can stream all these shows, you go and you watch. Like, eventually his friends are going to be like, I started Wontry Hill on Hulu. Is that your mom? It's so dicey. You know, I remember the actress who played my mother, Cheryl Lee, I fell in love with her.
Starting point is 01:34:57 She played Ellie. I really, really loved her. And I was up for this part while I was working with her. I was with 23. And the part required nudity. And I was really just like, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. And Cheryl told me, she said, you don't do it. You're going to have kids one day.
Starting point is 01:35:15 Probability of being a boy's 50-50. You don't need your son going to. into middle school and other people holding up pictures of your boobs. So she saved me a lot of grief because I didn't do that job. That is amazing and a great point, actually. Yeah, life lessons, man. Who knew? It definitely is.
Starting point is 01:35:38 So I know, like, we have nine billion, one trail questions we could ask you. I think we'll stick to just a couple, but one of them that I've always wanted to know is obviously Payton went through so, so much on that show. Looking back now, what do you think was one of your favorite Peyton storylines? Yeah, I mean, I love stuff with Cheryl Lee, who I just mentioned. Yeah. I connected with her in a way that I just saw her for the first time after, you know, 10 years, 15 years, at a convention we did in Wilmington in February, and I burst into tears.
Starting point is 01:36:16 She's just someone who I love and I was so sad when she died. Like when you see Peyton crying, that's like Hillary Burton really upset that I just lost my new friend. So yeah, I really loved that storyline. I thought the storyline between Peyton and Brooke was the love story of the show. Because the love stories with all the boys, those are fun.
Starting point is 01:36:44 Those are important. But Sophia and I had to fight for our own friendship Because a lot of people wanted to pit us against each other You know, it's like, oh, Hillary won't do this, but Sophia will And she's the pretty one and she's the this one You know, there's just so much comparison That is a young person, it's hard to navigate And she and I now can look back at it and be like,
Starting point is 01:37:05 All those bastards, no, no, no We're the love story. Yeah So yeah, the female friend were important on that show. That is amazing. And I want to admit something about, um, Ian,
Starting point is 01:37:23 I think that was his name, right? The soccer. Yes. I, ever since that show, I can't like, like blondes,
Starting point is 01:37:32 like guys with blonde hair. Like, it's an immediate turnoff for me. And I have explained this before where people are like, I'm like, I just, the blonde, like bleach blonde hair just doesn't do it for me.
Starting point is 01:37:44 because of Ian from Montreal. I'm going to tell you that Matt Barr, the actor who played that part, was one of the loveliest humans that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. And that storyline is not one of my favorites. Because I remember being told as a young, like, 24-year-old actress, that the ratings and male viewership went up so much when you got punched in the face by a man. boys like watching you get brutalized. And that was really upsetting to me. And that it was something that my bosses were celebrating.
Starting point is 01:38:24 And so the actor that I was working with was so sensitive and so lovely and so just a gentleman. And so even when they brought him back to like brutalize me all over again, I was just happy to see Matt. He's wonderful. You should give him a chance. I'll tell him to be just for men, the hair. He's a doll. Just a doll. Okay, well, that makes me feel better.
Starting point is 01:38:51 I mean, I feel like that is a common theme, like when somebody plays like an evil character, they're actually the sweetest person in real life. And it just shows that they are a great actor. So you know what? Look at Megan. He's the worst. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:04 He's terrible, and he's a teddy bear. Exactly. And I do want to say, I just feel like what you said about, the friendship between Peyton and Brooke being like the main storyline. I love so much because from two young girls, like Rhee and I, our pair were best friends. We do this together. But the internet, which is very similar to when the show came on for you guys and the network execs and the men who wanted to control you guys. And they, like, sometimes we get pitted
Starting point is 01:39:38 against each other all the time. And we're like, we're best friends. Why do you you have to say that one of us does this better than the other or this one does something better than the other when we both love those things about each other. And it's really crazy. And so I just wanted to acknowledge that that just meant like so much because I feel like people focus so much on the male, female dynamic on that show. But that was such a powerful friendship. And we really appreciate that. Well, good. I'm glad.
Starting point is 01:40:11 You know, divide and conquer is something that. you have to be super aware of because people are always going to try to do that to you. And as women, we have to counter that with unite and conquer. Because you're right. Like your friend is going to be better at some things than you and you're going to be better at other things. And when you work together, ooh, then you're just like great at everything. And that is why we created chicks in the office.
Starting point is 01:40:35 Yeah. Better together. Yeah, exactly. Smart. Exactly. Well, Hillary, the last thing I want to mention is because, honestly, you, not a lot of people have this much stuff going on right now. You have between the book and Friday Night In, and your spot on Council of Dads is coming up. It's a new NBC sitcom, not even sitcom, NBC drama.
Starting point is 01:40:59 I was going to say totally a drama because I, I thought I was going to, a dromedy. I thought it was going to cry during the trailer. Can you kind of explain what the show is? for everyone. Yeah, I mean, I'm glad you spoke to that because it's a weird time to be promoting stuff. There's so much anxiety and bad stuff going on. So to like get out there and like sell your goods. Feels really tacky. I'm in the fortunate position that that television show in particular, Council of Dads is such a balm for the soul. It is about the family you choose for yourself as opposed to who you're like born related to. And that group of people is,
Starting point is 01:41:42 they're so talented and they're so generous and they're so kind-hearted. You know, when the pandemic hit and I was the one here in New York trying to feed frontline workers, that whole cast and crew donated to our fund here and promoted it on social. They don't live here.
Starting point is 01:41:58 They didn't have to do that. They're just wonderful. So this show really comes from a place of love. and my character Margo I'm like I joke about him like Margo is a lot like she's a hyper chick maybe I'm a hyper chick
Starting point is 01:42:16 maybe that's why they thought of me for it I don't know but yeah she dresses loud and she is loud and she just kind of takes life by the balls and so it was a great time that's fun that's amazing and I'm sure everybody will be super excited to watch you in that. It seems like NBC
Starting point is 01:42:36 has such a great job of doing these drama, family dramas that just hit like between this is us and I think of like parenthood and all those shows like parenthood. I cried every episode and I know that Monica is a really pretty cryer.
Starting point is 01:42:54 Yes. Yes. Definitely. It is, it was one of those shows that really, you know, clutched at your heart and I feel like this could be something that's really similar. so we're excited to watch and excited to see you on it. And, uh, Ria, do you have anything else? I don't want to cut, cut you off.
Starting point is 01:43:12 No, I, I'm just watching you guys love NBC dramas. I haven't seen this as us or parenthood, but I believe you guys. Yeah, parenthood is one of the best. Hilary, thank you. Yeah, thank you so much for talking with us. This was honestly a dream come true for both of us. You guys are so sweet. Stay together.
Starting point is 01:43:36 Don't let anyone break you up. Stay together. Oh, we will. We will. Absolutely. We're bonded for life. We have matching tattoos, so we can't go anywhere. Yeah, we do.
Starting point is 01:43:45 Oh, yeah. The lightning bolt. Awesome. Yep. Right on, man. Well, cool. Thank you. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to us.
Starting point is 01:43:52 We really appreciate it. Stay safe. And stay safe to you and love to you and your family as well. Awesome. You guys be good. Thank you. Thank you so much. All right.
