Let me tell you, it feels like I'm getting a tan through the window. It just feels nice to see sunlight because it has been pretty gross out around New York for the last few days, I would say. So seeing the sun is nice being outside.

I see the line. Going for a little walk, getting some fresh air while, you know, not getting close to people, obviously is great. But Rhea, just keep moving. Just like, it's just another, it's another week. Here's some motivation for everybody, okay? We're recording. it's April 1st, aka April Fool's Day, which, you know, we're not doing that this year.

I want nothing, nothing to do with April Fool's jokes today. Too many. I've seen too many. This whole thing is a joke. This, not literally, but like we're living in a time where, you know, we do need laughter. We don't need evil pranks, okay? Right. I saw this. Is about evil pranks, in my opinion.

I think you're right. Like a playful April Fool, sure. But when it gets really serious, like April Fool's jokes combined with the coronavirus crisis are terrible. Terrible. Like, what are you doing? It's, I've seen so many different, like, fake posts of, you know, short towns in New Jersey being like, we're closed to September. And it's like, ha, ha, it was a fake memo. It's just like there's too much.

why would you possibly ever do that? Like there's already so much fake stuff that floats around. So now in the back of your head today, you're like, oh, well, is this an April Fool's joke? It's just too much. You know who fucking got me? And I don't want to say it. Fucking Dylan's post about Chris Harrison.

I saw the picture and I was like, no. And then I remember it. I was like, oh, it's April Fool's, you asshole. Are you kidding me? Oh my God. That was a tough one, Dylan Pope. And then people were sending it to us when chicks in the office like, tell me this isn't true.

It's like, let's be better. Let's be better than this. Remember when Justin Bieber fucked it up last year when he was like, hey, he's pregnant. Everyone was pissed. Yeah, that's. Yep. Not saying Dylan's was like that

because Dylan's was on the moderate scale, not head-ass-up. It was like Chris Harrison is retiring. Yeah, yeah. It was obviously a joke. I saw this video. of, no, this is just straight up mean. I saw this video of these parents

that April Fooled their young child and told the child that they were able to go back to school. And she was so excited. Are you kidding me? Like, she was just so excited to, like, go see your friends and, like, be ready to go. And she got, like, her backpack on and everything. And they, like, went to open the door.

and they were like, we're just kidding, April Fool's, and she started crying. Like, it was actually so mean. Oh, my God. Fuck those parents. Oh, my God. I would try to disown my parents as soon as I could when I got older and realized they did something like that. It was a really, it was like a really little kid.

It was a really little kid who probably doesn't even know what's going on anyway. Fuck those parents. That's just, that's just cruel and doesn't need to be happening. I know. But this is not why I mentioned why it was April 1st, but that's okay. I just wanted to give some motivation because we have another month, or probably more than that, well, we're going to be stuck inside. We have faced the facts, guys, okay?

And I keep saying stuck inside. We are, no, we're stuck inside. We're definitely stuck inside. I was going to say, you know, we're safe inside, which is true as well. True. Safe and stuck at the same time. but we're gonna we're gonna get through this okay at the end of this tunnel maybe it'll be summer maybe when we're finally allowed to go outside it's gonna be summer the drinks will be slow and nice

with your friends who knows but um just keep staying positive keep doing things that makes me happy whatever that may be um oh man we're what what oh man let me tell let me finish your thought and I'm gonna talk about my family Zoom sessions oh um well that you You know, that's really it. I don't really have much to add besides. No, but you are right. It is, well, I was thinking as you were saying stay positive. I was thinking like that is truly what my family members were saying last night.

We did a family Zoom of like my mom's whole side of the family. And so it was my grandparents, her three siblings, all my cousins. My siblings are in different places. So we were all tuned in. It was 45 minutes of everyone yelling at my grandparents to change the angle of their iPad. It was, it was hilarious, but also a good way, I think, to stay in touch with your family, check it on everybody to see what was going on. Everyone was yelling, obviously, on top of each other.

Funny moment, I won't say who, but I didn't tell you this, Ria. you know who I'm talking about but I had a family member go through a breakup recently and there was a moment of like hey how's blank like in the middle of this family Zoom with like 18 people and they had to be like oh well we broke up and everyone was like oh oh man and I was there for that conversation when it was first told to your parents yeah yeah I remember how awkward that was, though. It was a tough Zoom. Well, my poor grandmother was like, oh, man.

And like my mom was like, Mima, we told you about this. She was like, I know, but I just forgot. She just hates hearing about it. Yeah, it was just, I felt bad in the moment. It wasn't me, just to clarify, it was not me. Oh, yeah, that would be awkward if you were just talking about yourself. I was talking about, yeah. Jesus, friend, that made me feel very uncomfortable.

Yeah. But it was, it was just, it was a, it was a very funny moment. And everybody just trying to communicate with each other. It's, it is crazy. And then we, you know, we got into a whole big fight about different policies. And, you know, there's a lot of different political beliefs in my family. And then I had to leave. Like, I was, like, that's not fun.

It went to be like an hour and a half. And I was like, all right, guys, my computer's about to die. Like, I got to watch this show. It was really nice talking to everyone. And my uncle was like, good job, Francesca. That was like, we needed the first person to make an exit. Yeah. I mean, that's always the go-to.

Also, like, it's so easy for us to lie and be like, oh, I got to do something for work. Oh, yeah. I was like, oh, God, my computer's about to die. Meanwhile, my charger was like five feet away. You were on 100%. Yeah. It's like, guys, this has been real nice. this last hour and a half, but I got to go. Yeah, that, that reminds me. Hank's family had a

graduation on Zoom for his cousin who was supposed to be graduating. And now, obviously, she's still graduating, but not the ceremony. So they had a bunch of family members on Zoom, who I've met everybody in the chat before, but still, like, I don't know, you just, it's, it's, it's not my place to start talking at this graduation, right? Right, right. They're going around and they're doing these speeches. Like, everyone's, like, saying something nice. But, like, his brother and his sister, like, both have a boyfriend and girlfriend,

but they didn't give a speech. Like, just Hank's sister spoke and then just Hank's brother spoke. So then Hank's grandpa at one point is like, what about, what about over there in New York City? Like, we got anything to say? and Hank, of course, of course, just puts the camera on me. And it's like, Ria, when you say something? And I, I pinched him so hard. Like, I was like, oh, congrats.

I had no idea. I was like, oh, my God. I'm getting so, like, stage fright right now. Like, I'm no idea what to say. And he was like, you managed to be the most awkward person in that entire Zoom. I was like, you did not have to show me on that. Like, you show me, but you don't have to say, Ria, make a speech.

Yeah, there's no need. Other of the cousins were making speeches. No, no, right. Right. Right. Right. That's a Hank thing to do, though. Like, of course.

So, so what did you say? I didn't say anything. I thought. And I ducked. That's one of those. times when you, when you, when you, when you like go like this and you actually, you fake freeze, you're like, no. Like it's like, doesn't it look like, doesn't it look like that your connection just froze?

Nobody can even see me. But if you're just like mid sentence and then just kind of. Yes. I actually, friend, you're freaking me out. It looks like you're frozen. Oh my God. Me blinking kind of gives it away. I was always the best on like, like, Ooboo.

Yeah. No, I said absolutely. Are people going on those things anymore? Like chat roulette? Like, I feel like that would be an interesting time. Chat roulette and ubu are completely different. You're thinking of Omagle and chat roulette. Oh, megal.

Yeah, yeah. What's Ooboo? You've never been on Ubu. Ubu was just videotat with your friends. Ubu was awesome. Oh my God. I'm going to bring it up on my phone now. I need to see what I'm talking about.

I know if I have. I was thinking of Omagle and chat roulette. You definitely, did you videotabot your friends when you were younger? Yeah. That didn't seem confident. Oh, oh. Oh.

Oh, yeah. Instead of O O O, O, V, Yeah, Ooo. Yes, no, actually, you are right. I did. We would video chat with the boys that we liked, um, like freshman year of high school on Ooboo. I remember that. Yes. Yeah. I would stay up till. Wow. I really blacked that out of my memory.

Three in the morning. Yeah. It's tough when you start remembering it. I was on, I remember I would stay up on with boys and my, my best friends to like two three o'clock in the morning in the summer of like middle school. Yeah. Wow. It's really really coming back freshman year of high school. We did that all the time. I remember getting like really excited. I'm getting embarrassed now, but getting like really excited when you're on OUVU with a boy and it's getting really late and you're both getting sleepy and you're like, I don't want to hang up yet. Like you hang up and yet you guys I did the same thing. But you're not hitting up and your room is completely dark and You can't see each other anyway because you're both in pitch black rooms.

It's black. You're probably on AIM and you're on some other website, maybe Facebook, and you're also on OUVU at the same time in the dark talking about how sleep you are, but you don't want to hang up yet. That is so funny. I'm getting some serious flashbacks of that too. What are some other things you did on the computer? I don't, okay.

I mean, we've talked about this before that I really did not. didn't have a life of the computer. I had friends. I had friends. But like I didn't start going out really to like parties and whatnot until my junior year of high school kind of. And so like my friends, we would just hang out in my basement and watch TV

and make videos on like our computer. On iPhone, like videos, photo booth videos. a lot of, yeah, a lot of video chatting. If I, oh, I had this Dell laptop I got for Christmas when I was in like sixth grade. It was pink. I played a lot of, um, and, and what was the, I'm cutting you off. I know, I'm going to keep.

Continue about it. Because it leads into something that I want to mention. Your pink Dell. My pink Dell laptop that I would record videos of myself singing when I was younger because I know I'm a terrible singer. but when I was younger, I thought it was really good. And I would record myself singing Demi Lovato. Did you forget?

I think everybody used to record themselves singing. This video I have in my mind, I wish I could find in posts to the world, because it is truly one of the best videos of my younger self in, like, sixth grade. And it has me really excited because Sunny with a chance is coming on Disney Plus this Friday. Oh, yes. And I will be watching that all weekend so that I can relive my middle school, I've just been really trying to do that lately. I had a really...

That's the time. That's what we're doing. I had a very emotional playlist that was like all... It was only like Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. And it was just like all their sad like breakup songs that I would listen to and think about boys that like I didn't even have relationships with. Like it's just like... You just thought them up in your head.

Like maybe talked like a few times and was like, oh, he doesn't like me. I'm like, did we, just there was never even a thing to begin with. Your fake relationships that you were talking the shower. Yeah, that's what I would do.

What, um, what game am I thinking of? I always talk to this hour. Ria, what game am I thinking of that's like, it's the little red devil and the bubbles shoot in the air. Oh my God.

You use the, the space bar to shoot the, the thing up to pop the bubbles. That game was so fun. Bubble. something, bubble something. I know what you're talking about. It was so much fun because I played with my neighbors all

the time. Yeah, what is that game am I thinking of? I'm going to text them and they'll know. What was that game with the bubbles and little guy? It wasn't called bubble up, was it? The bubbles.

That one really. Once you started memorizing that one, I said rememberizing. High school was like those beginning years for me was what was my computer was literally playing bubble trouble and reading Ocean Up. Did you read OceanUp?

No. OceanUp.com was like the it was like a celeb blog, but it was really all just like Disney, like Disney stars and people that like I cared about all like George Brothers, Miley, Taylor, like all those. And they always had all the great gossip. And was it true gossip? Most of it, yeah, I think. I was just stay in class and refresh it all day. Wow, they still have a Twitter account. I wonder if it is functioning. I highly doubt it.

But they were so good. Did you just hear me swallow? Yes, I did. Freshly squeezed music and pop culture news that isn't afraid to bite back. That's their Twitter bio. I don't remember that one. Their Twitter hasn't been active since 2018. Oh, man, that was a great one.

I refreshed that website all day long, just waiting for new things to pop up. and I paid for like extra shipping for it to be here and I don't know that's that's where you'll get fucked this time around you can't be paying for extra express shipping because it's not true at this point it is it is very tough

it is kind of myself for like not having do laundry. Like my mom does all my laundry. She makes dinner. Like I don't have to worry about like anything. It's like I said it's back to being children. We're back to being children. Except not me because No right. Well you are living by yourself.

I have I will say Hank has it made. All I do is cook. All I do is cook. All I do is cook. All I do is cook and clean and take care of him. Wave over a hot stove. Yeah. And Henry is not even paying. He doesn't even give me the respect that

I'm cleaning the whole apartment every day. It's actually not clean at all, though. I can't say I cooking clean because I don't do the second part. But I will say he's living because I keep cooking. So he doesn't have to worry about it when he's eating because I just make it. And I'm not complaining. I enjoy doing it. I very much enjoy doing it.

I'm the complete opposite. And I enjoy making it for myself. You like cooking. I like cooking. And I like the reward. of seeing how much Hank likes it. It's like, oh, my God, my self-esteem through the roof.

I'm like, oh, my God, what a confidence booster. You know? And then for myself, it just tastes really good. The joys of cooking. Joe loves to cook, so I'm not done anything. He cooks everything. He's made dinner the last few nights. And yeah, I just eat it.

I just eat it and tell them it's great. Yeah, I kind of don't even want Hank to help me. So, oh, I've been kicked out. Like, I want to help. Every time I'm like, let me help, let me do something. Let's cook together. He's like, get the fuck away for me. Like, let me do my thing.

Because if you're, if you know what you're doing and you know the steps and you don't need somebody in your space being like, how do I do this? It's like, I already know how I'm doing this. And also like the reward of being able to be like, I made this myself. Ria, you made, you made the crunch wrap, Super. I did. Of your own. Yeah, I could not believe that. I was floored. So Ria did this whole amazing crunch rap Supreme situation. It's on the Chicks in the Office story highlights. If you want to make it, tons of people were making it. And then Munchy's, the Instagram account, huge Instagram account. So like the day after you made it, or no, two days after you made it, they post on their Instagram

CrunchRap Supreme And they say, We know we're not the only ones missing CrunchRap Supremes from Taco Bell We're sharing blanks recipe with y'all So you can make one whenever you want right in your home. I'm like, damn. Somebody definitely saw you made yours.

I thought that too because it was so back to back But I also think like they changed the ingredients and stuff and like how I made it. So it could just be a coincidence that people are also in the mood to make CrunchRap Supremes because the recipe wasn't the same. Like if they... It is a different picture, right?

Yeah, yeah. If it was the exact same, sure. But maybe it gave them the idea. Yeah, and you know what? That's fine. I think that's fine because I think you're always redoing recipes. I think people are always taking... Oh, totally.

You know what I mean? Like, how does the first person ever learn? Yeah. You know? You're right. You are right. Like, I hear stuff from my mom. I hear stuff from my cousin who loves to cook.

and I think that he honestly should start putting everything on TikTok. He made Chick-fil-A sandwiches, his own Chick-fil-A sandwiches at home. He's really good. So I hear stuff from like that. And then I just feel like everybody, recipes always got reused. But that was a little bit of a coincidence, I shall say. But, yeah, that was a highlight of my week so far, was the Conjop Supreme. No. I feel like Andrew Cuomo and Chris Cuomo are like the hot topic of anybody that's in the Northeast because they're on your TV all the time. And the governor was wearing a white polo and people thought he had nipple piercings. That's what it looked like through the shirt. Yeah. I think he does.

I mean, yeah. Think yes. Yeah, you don't have two double nipples on both nipples. You know what I mean? Right? Like something's going on under there. But then people are like, no, it's not. He had an ex-girlfriend say it's not. I think Chaps wrote a blog saying maybe he had a band-aids.

He had band-aids on his nipples, maybe. That could be a good point. But maybe an ex-girlfriend, maybe he got them after the ex-girlfriend. Maybe it was a breakup thing where he was feeling a little risky and then got his nipples pierced. Yeah. Yeah. Or, you know, he's just been battling every day and that shirt is causing his nipples to chafe and he put band-aids on. All right.

I feel like that's a good thing about. No, no, I have a question, though. No, this is a hot topic. This is what a lot of people are talking about right now. I kid you not. That's what my friend posed in our group chat. Guys, just Cuomo have nipple rings. For a second.

It really looks like he does. When nipples be like the last place you would get a piercing? Yes. Like the absolute last place. Because I feel like I would rather get my nipple pierce than my tongue. Like, I don't think I would ever want my tongue to get pierced before my nipple. The tongue is weird. I think I would go tongue over nipple.

I just think, yeah. Yeah, I just would not want my nipple pierce. I just feel like that would be a nuisance. Could be wildly uncomfortable to have. But I feel like a tongue piercing is even more wildly uncomfortable. I'm also not sure what the, like, what's the process of taking? taking out either of those piercings. Like tongue, you have a hole in your tongue.

Yeah, you have a hole in your tongue, and then your tongue gets split open if something bad happens. And then your nipple... But then with your nipple, like, your nipple, then you just have a hole in your nipple? What if you had, like, really rough sex and then somehow your nipple got caught on,

your nipple got caught on something, and then your nipple got ripped off. Ow! I'm like... My nipples are burning right now. Holding my boobs in pain right now. sounds so bad it does it sounds worse than the time i'll be honest it does so worse like just seeing like i'm picturing i'm picturing your nipple ring getting caught like you're walking by something all of

We're just leisurely slow, like walking. So I feel like they may have just like been really high, number one, which they look like absolute zombies. But like maybe they're just like meditating and like taking a really slow, non-stressful walk. Because think about you taking a really slow walk and somebody filming you.

It would look very weird. Like we're not getting filmed. Their pace is stressing me out. Like they're walking so slow that if I was walking that slow, I would be stressed out by how slow walking. Yes, but I also think there's something having to do with. having nowhere to be. Like, they're probably just really enjoying just, like, moving slow. I don't know.

I don't know. I think they have gone, they have gone on this exact, like, pop Rossi walk, like, every day now. Like, because there's tons of different pictures of them. They're out. They're holding their, they're holding their mugs. Where are they supposed to go? They, you know, if we're talking about people wanting to walk outside and get some fresh air, like, I'm sure celebrities want to walk outside and get some fresh air.

of course i'm not criticizing that they're going outside and taking a walk it's the it's the way that they're doing it and where they're being photographed every single day when they do it makes me think that there's something in common and also this so ea posted the video on instagram and everything and stasi commented stasi schroeder commented kk so we all agree that they called the paparazzi to be photographed together again and walk slowly to get the shot right that's my also a fan of both, so I don't care if it's real or not. I'm living for it. And then Ariana wrote back to her and said, there's no other explanation. I mean, that, that theory also has a lot of fire behind it because of the people who think that they don't really date, you know, that they're a publicity couple to begin with.

I'm usually on the side of, like, publicity that was paparazzi. For some reason, I just don't think this was. I truthfully don't think, I think that they're, like, I don't know why. Like, I want, I want to agree and I want to say because I feel like people are going to yell at me, but like, I can't lie and say that's how I feel. No. A liar then. I think it is because- I think that the paparazzi now knows this is their walking spot.

They have nowhere else to walk at this point in time. I mean, we're stuck in the same place. They too want to get fresh air. Maybe this is their way of like, you know, they are celebrities. Like maybe they're just trying to slow it down. Like they're just trying to take a really slow, non-stressful, meditate, take in the outside kind of walk while also being high as fuck. The Jonas Brothers canceled their Vegas residency. and it's really unfortunate because it's like they're, you know, obviously they're celebrities and they have a lot more money than most of us and because they're famous musicians. No, and also, right, also everybody that works on, everybody that works on the tour that normally wouldn't be doing something. There's no way we're going to that show in July.

Everybody involved is absolutely off their rocker. So I don't even, I don't even know where, where to begin. Basically, we'll say that, okay, Tiger King. Let's just say the biggest parts of Tiger King, because we're going to go through every episode. That would be a lot. No, no, no, no. I have a list.

I figured I have a list of characters. So maybe we go through the people. We can discuss the people and everything will come out that way. But basically this director, Eric Good, he immersed himself into the big cat world in America. and it's obviously much more extensive than we ever thought. He followed around Joe Exotic, a zoo owner from Oklahoma, Carol Baskin, who has the Big Cat Rescue in Florida,

and just a bunch of other big cat owners, zoo owners, just a lot of really crazy things. And the fact that this man who documented this whole thing, was around to actually witness all of these crazy things happen where you start a documentary of just like, oh, here's this zoo owner, he's very eccentric, the whole thing. And then by the time you're done, you're asking the question, how did this man end up in jail for possibly paying someone to kill another person?

Like, it just took such, it took such a turn that at first you just didn't really know what was happening. You're like, oh, I'm watching a documentary about wildlife conservation and how crazy it is that these people are owning these animals when they absolutely should not be. And then it turned into, like, a murder-for-hire case. Yeah, I will say when Hank first said to me that he wants to watch the Tiger documentary, I was like, I almost, yeah, sure, sat down and I was like, wait, this isn't about Tiger Woods. And that was way before all the memes and everything. Like, that was when Tiger King was first released. He was like, I want to watch this Tiger documentary.

I was like, well, go ahead. Tiger documentary, sure. And I had noticed that Kate, that Kate had been writing a lot about it. And I was like, it's weird that Kate is raving so much about this Tiger documentary and not like Riggs and Trent. So you heard. Tiger King and you just thought like Tiger Woods King of golf? I didn't see the name Tiger King. Okay, okay, okay.

This was when it first came out. I kept seeing Kate write like the Tiger documentary. Like not Tucker King. She would be writing like Tiger Documentary. And I was like, okay, Tiger Documentary. Like Kate really is into Tiger Woods. And I was confused why I wasn't seeing anything from Riggs over Trent about it. And then when I sat down with Hank and he was.

on a tiger documentary, to my surprise, these jungle cats popped out. And it was not about Tiger Woods. It was about cats. And owning them, not being able to own them, a rivalry between Joe and Carol, which I think was like, obviously the main plot of this thing was that Joe and Carol despise each other and Joe's music videos. Like the one that he made about when the whole thing. thing about finding out if Carol Baskin had killed her husband. And then he made a music video

of a fake Carl Baskin feeding fake, fake flesh to tigers was insane. I'd also like to say to the people who keep DMing me and chicks in the office saying that I look like a young Carol Baskin, get the fuck out of my DMs. Fucking stop. Okay. I get it. I have blonde hair. Every person is blonde hair. I'm not going to lie, though. Stop. very fair but i did like when they showed some of the older pictures i was like oh she was beautiful you know when she when she was younger i'll take that as a compliment because people thank you fran because people were like you look like young carl baskin and before i had seen the old right the old pictures oh so there sorry yeah yeah your screen just went black um before i had seen the old

pictures and I had just seen Kyle Baskin. I thought people were just saying I looked like Carol Baskin not knowing there was actual young photos of her and I was like, okay, that's stuff. Like, let's be a little nicer, okay. But then I saw the younger pictures of her and I was like, she was pretty when she was younger. I get it. I get it. Yeah. Yeah, everybody was blonde hair. I get DMs and they're like, you look like this person. I'm like that doesn't look like. Yeah. Thank you. Um, yeah. The Carol and Joe rivalry, um, it was like in my head, it just everybody in this in this documentary is crazy obviously so like when you're watching it it's kind of hard to take sides because you're kind of on nobody's side oh oh for me there are no

sides to take all these people should be in jail like that person's crazy like that person sucks that person sucks like like a majority like oh man this is just a back and forth of who's worst oh and there's like it came down to you know joe versus carol versus jeff low and like and and and And it was crazy because, I know. Let's just talk about Jeff Lowe for a second. And the fact that we work with a Jeff Lowe, if you're familiar with the Lights Camera Barstool podcast. And Jeff Lowe works at Barstool.

Jeff Lowe being the name just couldn't be better. If it had to be anybody from Barstow's name, I'm happy it was Jeff Lowe. And Jeff Lowe is probably the biggest, I don't want to say villain, because they all are pretty villainous, but I would say just like, like he had such a clear,

I feel like motive, and he really conned his way. Like I feel like Joe Exotic was going through life not really knowing what was going to happen the next day and throwing out all these crazy things. It's not hard to, I feel like it's not hard to build a murder-for-hire case on somebody who spent years and years on TV,

his own TV channel demonstrating and going into detail how he wanted to kill this woman. So I feel like Jeff Lowe saw an opening there. And once, like, I'm convinced that Jeff Lowe and Joe 100% came up with the plan to kill Carol together. And Jeff went along with it knowing that Joe was going to keep going and that at one point Jeff would be able to spin this, that it was all Joe. Therefore, Jeff could steal the zoo and take all the animals, and it would all be his, and Joe would go to prison.

And, I mean, it worked out exactly how Jeff Lowe wanted it to work out. Fran, I think you nailed it on the head. I think that's exactly how this went down. And it's the classic. You see this happen in movies all the time. I mean, you see it happen in real life, kind of, but not as I feel like I'm not, like, paying attention that much to, I'm not, like, big into crime documentaries and, like, podcasts.

and whatnot, so I feel like it does happen, but I feel like in fake movies, you see like, oh, like I'm watching hunters, right? And in hunters, there's somebody playing both sides. I don't want to spoil just in case people are watching. I guess that does spoil it kind of. Oops. No, it doesn't, though. It's a continue. I'm going to continue. But it's a little playing both sides. Just a little sneak attack. No, that's exactly what he was doing. And it was crazy. crazy because even in the last episode, when Jeff was like, yeah, I mean, why, like, there's definitely times that I got Joe to say things on tape that would incriminate him.

So it's just like- Because I wanted him in jail. Right. And then, you know, they had this reporter, this newswoman who I think was just like a local reporter from Oklahoma. And like, she explained it too. She's like, why didn't they have Jeff at any part of this? If he stood trial or if he was a witness, he would probably perjure himself. It would be a whole nother big thing. But they were able to build this insane case against Joe. And, you know, he ended up going to prison for not only the murder for hire. There's all like 19 charges.

There's, you know, animal abuse, killing animals. And like having these tigers. But I don't know. So you're not like a, obviously, you're not like a free Joe exotic guy. Joe Exotic should stay in jail. Like there's, I see so many people being like free Joe Exotic. And I'm like, I don't know about that though. Joe should be in jail.

Jeff should be in jail. Carol should be in jail. Like they should all. The whole show should be locked up. Like that. It was insane to me because. And I will say, I guess out of all of them, Carol probably has closer to the right idea of, you know, trying to push this big cat act through

so that it bansy, the ownership and the breeding of these animals. But then she also has, like, them in cages. And it's like the whole thing. Right. And the whole thing is hard. I feel like she has a fascination with owning these animals as well. and she tries to spin it as like, we know we're saving these animals

when in reality it doesn't really seem like that just from the way that they handle their, their quote unquote sanctuary. I will say her pushing for this bill to be, to go through is a good thing because if there's anything that you learn from this, it was like, I finished watching it and was like, maybe I need to

I don't write a check to Pita or something because I just cannot and I and you know they go on and on about the crazy animal advocate yeah I thought that it was crazy when they were talking about Pita and they were like Pita is so crazy Pita's the enemy and all this these crazy animal advocates and everything that they do

and it's so over the top and then the whole time I'm watching I'm like Jesus me like I'm how do you not Like why it's just insane to me that you would feel the need to own all these animals. And it was so sad the statistic at the end, like they played a statistic at the end about how many big cats there are, like privately owned in the United States. And the amount was like two or three times more than how many tires are actually left in the wild. so it's just it's just it was it was really crazy and that like made me sad because I know some people were it's it was so dramatic and these characters were so insane but I feel like it kind of got lost in a lot of it that like these people all own these animals yeah I'm like I

thought it was really strange when they kept talking about doc antel yeah they kept talking about their like exotic animal addiction like they just they just they kept saying the word, they're like, it's an addiction. Like, you touch the first time you're around these animals, like, you just can't get away. And I was like, what? Like, me, like, no offense. And I'm just, I get some people are into it. But that actually scares the shit out of me. I don't want to be in a cage with these animals. Like, you know, you like that thrill, but I don't. It seems to be a power trip for people. Yeah. Yeah, they're like the power that's a total power to cross from these, from these cats and then the power gets placed onto you.

I was just like, all right, chill out. You're not a fucking tiger. You're not. No, it was terrible. And you're seeing, yes, you're seeing, like, you're seeing Joe pull these tigers, these baby tigers from their mother, like, as soon as they're born so that he can make money off of them. And I just, like, you have to remember that part when you see the whole, oh, Jeff

Lowe, set him up and blah, blah, blah, okay, yeah, probably. but this guy is also a monster. Like this whole thing was insane. And not only that, but like it seemed, and obviously, look, a lot of people now, since it's come out, I've said that this documentary was sensationalized a lot and that they tried to make Joe Exotic

kind of look like the victim here. And there's been people, reporters, like this guy, Robert Moore, who has written, he had a podcast about, he's written multiple articles about it. He's like gone down to the zoo. He wrote this whole thread on Twitter that you can go read.

It was very informative. I won't read the whole thing because it's a lot. But just like little tidbits here and there of what like things that he had saw that was not in the documentary and other things and vice versa and like clarifying stuff. But he,

just like the relationship that Joe had also with his partners was crazy between John Finley and Travis and Dylan, his current husband, and how all these guys are actually straight, but they all marry him and they're all in this giant relationship. It's like they have all these cults associated with people who have big cats. It was, it was messy. I will say, it was messy. And yeah, and not that it was like, oh, so, like, so unexpected, but it kind of it was at the same time. You know what I mean? Totally. And seeing like, yeah, you know,

seeing these young kids feel like get, you know, thrown into this life because it feels like there is an addiction. Yeah. I know, totally. Travis, I mean, what a horribly sad story of this kid coming and living with him and ended up accidentally killing himself. Like, it's just so sad. watching the funeral, which was so sad, but also so absurd at the same time, because Joe was, like, singing at the funeral and making jokes and his poor mother sitting in the front row, and you're like, what these people? It just seemed like Joe was very, like, manipulative. Totally.

And once again, this cult behavior from people who are, like, addicted to cats. Doc Antle's situation. like that place was an actual cult. Those women who have been there for decades. And I wish they talked to the woman Barbara who was like living her own life. I wanted to be like they never asked her like how did you leave? How did you get out? Like she just one day she decided to leave. Yeah. Like usually that's not really allowed. Yeah. Maybe it's not allowed or maybe she finally just saw the light and was like, I'm out of here. But I would have liked to have heard more about that, but just her describing, like,

the multiple wives and the different houses and everything. Doc is a freaky man, too. They're all so freaky. The thing is, of course, they're freaky because who else would be so obsessed with... Right. What normal person owns a shit ton of cats. Exactly. Like, I'm not...

No, by any means. excuse me, their behavior, they're fucking crazy people. And that's why they're addicted to exotic animals. Yes, yes. Was there anything that we missed?

Yes, there's a couple of things I do want to talk about with you. One of them being, there was a couple, there was a couple of people that I did, that I did like that I just felt like got stuck in a bad place. Like John, who was the manager of the zoo,

who had the two prosthetic legs, He seemed like he just got mixed in and, you know, it was coming from a good place. I just feel like some of them also just got caught up with, you know, taking care of these animals. They're so majestic. They're so beautiful. The same thing with Eric, that poor guy. I mean, he was fucked up the entire time they were recording this.

I was like, how do they get this guy on camera? He is absolutely, like, not okay. Right. It's kind of like when you got a job and you don't want to be doing that job, but you feel like you're stuck in it or just getting you kind of forget that these animals shouldn't be in your possession because you're so used to now taking care of them that I feel like maybe you don't mean any harm but there is harm behind it yeah and all of it blowing up took it it's hypocritical but at the same time I can see if you're already working there and it's being

painted to you because Joe kept painting it as like no we love these animals and I feel like if that's being expressed to you constantly, and you're just kind of being manipulated by the people around you. Yeah, 100%. There was another, like Josh, Joe's campaign manager, I also really liked, I felt like he kind of jumped into something. He did not know what was going on. It was just like really crazy.

I was shocked that only one person has gotten like their limb removed, Bitten off, E and off, you know, staff had his arm ripped off. When he was talking about how like people wanted him to be against them for that happening. And then he was like, no, I'm not going to do that because like I work here or whatever he was saying. But also like how do you get mad at a tiger

for biting your arm off like when you're the one going into the tiger cage? Exactly. Like we said, the tiger will kill you. Yes. There's no questions about it. These are wild animals that should not be in cages. What do, what is your opinion on Carol Kill and Don? Yes, no, maybe. This one is so, it's, it's, it's tough. I'm, I'm torn on it too. It's so tough because the way that they were talking about him and saying like, it must have been really bad. he went to the authorities because he never did that and he was always so against going to the

authorities. That's what kind of like pushed me to thinking that she did because I was like, oh, that's kind of like, that's kind of a good point if he's so against going to the police or whatever and he finally went. But then it also seems like maybe she was just protecting herself from a crazy person. You know what I mean? I think that she might, I think she did kill him. but the reasoning is you know i'm not saying there's any excuse for murder you definitely shouldn't murder anybody but what if he was like protecting herself do you think that's a possibility it is definitely a possibility i mean truly anything's possible with these people but like carol also has put out a statement after all of this you know after the documentaries come out

a whole long thing because she also didn't like a lot of ways that she was portrayed obviously because everybody watches like, damn, this woman clearly killed her husband. But then I also feel like for the drama, it was kind of framed that way. Like they talked to Don's family and they talked to Don's long-time assistant. Like all people who are so team Don

that they probably want to blame it on Carol. So like they really made it seem like it was all Carol. But I mean, I think Carol has some weird mystical powers, number one. Because I feel like she's got these guys wrapped around her finger, like they're brainwashed or something. And then who knows maybe something bad happened with Don? Like, I see the way she is with her husband Howard.

And Howard would, like, take a bullet for this woman, but, like, in a weird way. Like, Howard was almost too loyal, and it was like, okay, what's going on here? Like, what's... Yeah, like, does Carol have a gun to Howard's head? Like... Right, like, you see that picture of him, that wedding, whatever it was on the beach

and she's got a leash on them. Like this, that they got a weird dynamic. She may be whipping these people. Right. Like there's a weird power dynamic going on with Carol and her people. Yeah, but could it be, yeah, see, I don't know. Like, I'm pretty convinced that she killed her husband. But I think that her husband was also a bad guy.

Like, I'm convinced that her husband wasn't any saint. Right. I'm with you on that. It's just, it's really, really insane. This man, Joe Exotic, I just, the ups and downs, it's just crazy that this guy's life, where he did, you know, going into hiding, going to jail, running for president, running for governor, like,

and you're right. He's really done at all. There have been a lot of people who have come out and said, like, this guy should not be in jail or, free Joe Exotic. Yeah, I don't, I don't agree with that. But I do think that probably Jeff Lowe should be in jail with him. This guy is an absolute fucking con man and creepy as hell.

The comments he made about his wife being pregnant and then he was like, I get to pick the nanny. And he like had the photo of the nanny on his phone already. The baby wasn't even born yet. And it was just a beautiful woman. He's like, yeah, a deal is I get to pick the nanny. I'm like, you are disgusting. I'm hoping that nanny was never hired. I'm really hoping.

Oh, she was. She was. There's pictures of the three of them all together. It's insane. I will say, I think my favorite moment of this documentary was when at the end, James Gerritsen, who was, you know, also a businessman who was involved in the whole situation because, you know, Jeff was going to move the zoo. and what a disaster.

But James, in the last episode, James is on a jet ski. James is on a jet ski. And I of the Tiger is playing. And it's like, I remember Charlotte Wilder, who works for us, I tweeted, she was like, Eric Good knew that he was only going to have one opportunity to use Eye of the Tiger.

You can't overuse it. Like, you can't overuse it in a documentary about Tiger. and he used it for one boleman, and it was this man running his chess ski alone with eye of the tiger in the background. It was perfection. As you all know, I did appreciate that part as well. Yeah, of course, of course. But what a wild ride. And we're going to be seeing so much more about this because now there's going to be a biopic coming out. And Kate McKinnon's already slated to play Carol Baskin. So everybody's discussing who will play Joe Exhaun.

Who do you think? I haven't decided who I think should do it. I know. It's a tough one. It's a tough one. They'll probably get somebody good, though. And I don't know who, but it'll be interesting. Yeah, maybe we'll come back with answers on the next one.

I have to think about that. I had two things for our feel-good segment today that I absolutely loved that I saw that I'm going to share with you guys. One was Lizzo sending free lunch to healthcare workers in Seattle at the University of Washington Medical Center. She sent a video and well wishes and thank them for all that they're doing and sent a lunch. It was great. You love seeing celebrities support like this. I feel like it's a great time for them to obviously be doing that. We've seen tons of celebrities who are donating money and donating meals and whatnot, which was fantastic.

And then the second thing that I saw, which I thought was really cute, was. this math teacher who she got an email from one of his students, his middle school student, they're in South Dakota. And he is the, so the Dakota State head football coach shared a photo of his sixth grade daughter getting help from her math teacher, Chris Waba. So he said that her sixth grader emailed her math teacher for some help. And he came over and worked through the problem with her on the front porch. He took a picture of it. It was really cute. He didn't get close, but he had it as a whiteboard, and they were through the screen door and they taught her from outside while she stayed inside, which I thought was really great because during all of this, what I think a lot of people,

obviously were talking about all the healthcare workers too, but all these kids who are out of school and teachers and parents who are trying their best to actually continue to teach their kids and for teachers to continue to do like remote plans, it's crazy because that is just, it's just so hard. So I thought that was really nice at that teacher, you know, made the effort to go there. Yeah, I just want to give a shout out to my cousin, who's a teacher, and she has been teaching online to her students.

And you know what? That must be really hard. And I applaud her for doing that. I know. I think we tip our cap to all the teachers that are listening and who are making do with what they got. because it is very hard to continue to teach young kids during this time. And everybody's trying their best.

I'm doing great. Thank you guys so much for having me on. I'm super excited to be here. I watched a lot of my castmates come through your guys' office, and I was very jealous, but it never worked out for me to swing by. And now next time you guys are in New York, you'll have to come around. Who knows when that will be, obviously.

But we're glad we were able to get you through this way, obviously, because we know you have struggled the last couple weeks. How are you feeling? I'm doing so much better. Thanks for asking. I mean, it's good. It was a weird, scary week to say the least. But I was very blessed and fortunate that all my symptoms were manageable from home.

And I had a great girlfriend and a great family here taking care of me and helping me out while I'm sort of, we're all stranded or quarantined wherever we're at. I'm very happy to hear that you're feeling better. Obviously, you're very fortunate in that fact. But unfortunately, you tested positive for Corona. When did the symptoms start? And when do you think that you got in contact with it? See, that's the scariest part about all of this. And I think everybody that has had it or is scared to get it can agree that the scariest thing is you can be healthy and no symptoms and it's still spreading it.

And you have no clue where you got it. You have no clue how long it's been in your system. And that was the case for me. As far as my symptoms went, I had a headache, fever, really bad night sweats was sort of the tipping point for me. and then the coughing, shortness of breath and fatigue really set in pretty hard, and that was the, I would say, the worst of the symptoms. I really appreciated you being open about it because I think there's a lot of young people who think that this virus won't affect them because of their age, but I mean, you're 28,

and you're healthy and you're staying in shape, and so it's crazy. I thought it was great that you were sharing your symptoms and what you're 20. you went through. What, um, what kind of, what would you say to the young kids who still kind of think, like the young kids who still think that they're like going to be fine and shouldn't worry about this? Well, that's why I sort of, that's why I initially publicly admitted that I had it just because at the time that I tested positive, there was still spring breakers making crazy videos in Florida making these accusations like, I don't care if I get it. It's not going to affect me. And people were, the media, there were so many mixed messages of, it only affects the,

older population, younger people don't have symptoms. And meanwhile, I'm gasping for airling in my bed. I can barely even talk to a phone without feeling like you need to worry about breathing. So I felt it was important to share that just for people to see a firsthand scenario and situation that wasn't the best. Definitely. And what made you start feeling better? I know you're talking about the medicine. What exactly is the name of it? I can't even pronounce it. See, here's a crazy part. I have to make disclosures now because people were getting upset and, like, threatening to sue me, and I was getting death threats for this medication.

But I'm not a medical professional. I'm not qualified to make any accusations or any assumptions, but the medicine that the president had been talking about and my doctor prescribed for me worked very, very well, and I started taking it immediately. And within five days, six days, my symptoms were completely gone. So I can't speak highly enough. about the medication and it was a Z-Pack and then also the hydrochloric clean. I don't know.

Nailed it. Nailed it. Well, take your word for it because we also can pronounce it. So that worked for you. So obviously, Coltid is not a medical professional like he said, but worked for him. We're very thankful it worked for you. And hopefully it will work for many other people. And hopefully people listening to this, because we do have a lot of young people listen to this, listen to your advice, stay inside, please, just do that. Just don't be in it. Do it for your loved ones. Do it for your grandparents' appearance.

How did you limit your interactions with, you're in the Randolph home, right? Yeah. Like, so did they kind of have to, like, have you just been, like, they dropping food at your door, like a doggy door? Or masks and scarves and gloves and came in and dropped food off. And we didn't really hang out, especially while I was. symptomatic, but they did such a good job of following, we got assigned a caseworker through the health department, and they did such a good job following all of the rules and the guidelines

and all the advice that the medical professionals and doctors were giving us. And I think that's what kept them healthy and kept them without having symptoms and getting sick. That's great. That's great. But really, you're here. We have you here to talk about your book the first time. It's available everywhere now. Yes, round of applause. The two of us read it. We absolutely loved it. We were going back and forth texting each other for like the last two days being like, did you read this part? Did you read this part? Because I just think it's always fascinating when you get kind of an inside look of being on a show like The Bachelor where you kind of don't see what's going on. They hide it so well. They don't want you to know what's going on. Did you face any backlash after saying that you wanted to kind of write this book?

I don't know about backlash. I think that they understood that there was some frustrations going on with some things that happened, some things I found out about just overall. For me, it does me no good to go and bash the franchise. I think that, you know, they're very, very good at their job. They're very, very good at being a great television show. I tip my hat every time to them. And I have so much respect for them as workers.

But, you know, at the same time, they go on to The Bachelorette. They go on to The Bachelor and I'm here with my life after this TV show. So that's where for me it was sort of, it's hard because people are like, it's show business. Don't take it personal. But I'm like, it's our personal life. I'm not playing a character on TV. Like, this is my life. And I was fortunate enough to become the Bachelorette.

And I'm so grateful for that. So it's like a, it's a fine line to answer your question of like, yeah, like, hey, how much do I want to reveal? What do I want to talk about? I'm not here to diss them, but I'm here to just state facts and show you guys sort of what happened and try to help you understand the process of the beast of the show.

Were, was there a correlation between your contract ending and when this book was coming out? Yeah, the book came out a few days after my contract. Conveniently. But, um, but you know what? I did actually run a few things by. I took, you know, some, some producers' names out of the book. I didn't want to be disrespectful or unprofessional.

That was the biggest thing is I still have respect for these people. I still have respect for the franchise. And I'm not set out to get them. I'm not coming from like an evil place or an angry place. It's more of just a general understanding. I want to put facts out there. Right. Yeah.

Go ahead. You mentioned multiple names, like you said, and you said, you cleared that with people. And then this season of The Bachelor with Peter, you talked about how, you know, you thought that he was getting manipulated by the producers a little bit, but then you talked about how you had these angels

and they were like Colton's angels. So how do you tell the difference between producers who are like truly trying to help you and then one that you got to like kind of figure out if they're manipulating you? Right. That was, that's one of the hardest parts of all of this is there's a couple of,

a certain point, especially early on in the process, where you have to trust the producers because they know these girls. They sat with them in casting. They sat with them and really get to see their sheet. And I'm still trying to dive in and figure out they don't tell me information about the girls unless I ask it. So I have to trust them and be like, you know, they're telling me to keep somebody. I need to figure out, are they telling me to keep them for TV purposes or because they feel like they can be a good match for me? And that's sort of where maybe I read too much into it. Maybe I got too involved in the production side of things. But that was me trying to watch out for myself and take care of myself at the end of it.

But I mean, you have to, at some point, you sort of have to just let go and let them guide you. But then at the same time, realize, hey, they have a goal to make a really good TV show at the end of this. So you got to watch out for yourself. It's a balancing act for sure. Yeah. And you talked about kind of when they came to the end of. end of your season. It felt like you made that decision. Like, this is what I'm going to do, guys. I'm breaking up with these two girls. Cassie is the one that I want. If that ends up being a failed

season, I'm sorry, but this is my life. And I think that's great for people to read and also for any people future bachelor's or bachelettes who maybe get the idea in the head that like, oh, I have to be engaged at the end of this. Like I, I, even if I don't want to. be because I feel like that might have happened with Peter a little bit if he had maybe said oh you know this is who I really like this is what I'm going for instead it's it back just backfired yeah I mean obviously I wasn't involved at all or know anything about Peter's season I barely much to be honest because I sort of had some PTSD and but I do have and I'm not I wasn't back that I saw things that was going on I think overall I was just frustrated for Peter I'm like can somebody

help this poor dude out. Like can somebody help guide him or help, you know, he could have done things better. Production could have done things better and handled situations better for sure. But, you know, I mean, for me, speaking from my experience, it was time for me to sort of go all in and put my foot down and say, hey, there comes a point where I can't make this TV show anymore. I mean, it comes a point where I tried my hardest to give you guys a TV show, but by doing that, I'm compromising and I'm giving up on things that I hold a lot of value into. and that's just honoring and respecting my relationship with Cassie so much that I'm willing to give everything else up.

And even though you did think that like, oh, there might not be a TV show, that decision made it a great TV show. It was the best decision you ever made, Colt. Right. Like, no matter what, you're still, we still had some great TV. But we learned a lot about your background in this book, you growing up, playing football. I really loved reading about your, uh, your football career because I think especially with players who then go on to the bachelor or

bachelor or bachelorette or whatever there's kind of like a stigma like oh they didn't even really play you know like so seeing like reading all that was crazy to me because I didn't really know the extent of your injuries and how hard you fought to like stay in the league and where things uh kind of went wrong like what when young if young athletes read this read this book what do you hope that they get from learning about your story? Man, well, to start, that was harder for me to even talk about our address because I even was very open with production being like, listen, I was a practice squad player. And then I would see a headline be like NFL star.

I was like, I've never called myself like help me out because that made people thinking like I'm promoting that. But I would say this. I mean, I worked my butt off to be a practice squad player. I took a lot of pride in that because I made my teammates better. I knew my role on the team. I always challenge people to say this. If you're going to take a shot at a practice club player,

it takes a lot of work. It takes a lot of talent to even get to that level. But you also don't walk into a law firm and say, oh, that's just a secretary. You know what I mean? Everybody has a role in the role in the company. If you work for Apple, you work for Apple. If you work for Google, you work for Google.

At the time, I was playing for the Chargers and the Raiders and briefly the Eagles, that's just the nature of the business and the beast. And I don't know, I would just tell them to take pride in their talent and know that, you know, their hard work is paying off. Even though it doesn't seem like it at the time, they're making themselves better, they're making their teammates better. And they have a role and they just need to keep playing it. Yeah. Yeah. I love that.

You also, not to jump from the football thing, Fran was very interested in that. Yeah, I agree. Because she's a big Eagles fan. So, of course, when that was like in there. Here's what I'll say for you. Chip, I love Chip Kelly. I don't know if you got the best reputation. I don't love Chip Kelly, but that's okay.

It was a stand-up guy. I feel like it was so, for me, at least, it was so business nature. And the fact that he mailed me my jersey to the Chargers facility, I was like, that's freaking awesome. I love that story, and I read that. I was like, that is a great move by him. We don't have to get, we don't have to get into his football decisions.

Too much into the Chip Kelly era. But anyway, I just wanted to tell me my side of things was a different thing from what I heard from everybody else. Right, right. Well, that's great. It was definitely good to read that. That was a nice move from him for sure. All right, Ria, go ahead.

Another theme from the book was, how do you not know? And you tell a story in the beginning, which I'm like kind of conflicting because I don't want to give it away because I want people to buy the book so then they have to read that. But I will say one of the themes was,

how do you not know? And I feel like that is a common theme that happens during the Bachelor, Bachelorette. Somebody on the show has to ask the main person. How do you not know yet? How do you not know it's me? Did you want to answer Cassie in that moment? Like, did you want to just be like, I do know? Or do you seriously not know? The truth of that, it was when she asked, I was still struggling. I was still didn't have an answer and I didn't want to give her an answer and then backpedal because I feel like that would have been even more if I would

have gave her the answer. And not, that would have gone against me as my character and my values. I just, I don't, I didn't have the answer to give her and I didn't have it, but I respected so much that she asked that. And I mean, you said it perfectly. Everybody, it seems like everybody on that show at one point has to ask that. But I actually challenge, I'd say everybody actually asked that question in life. You know, how do you not know, you ask that almost on a daily basis? Yeah. I do not know what I want to be in three years? How do I not know what I want to eat for lunch? I mean, it could be little things. Everybody's questioning something. That is true. And, you know, you talk.

talked a lot in this book about your sexuality and your journey through life of trying to figure out this part of your life, which was very opening and you were, I felt like very expressive about how you were feeling during those times. Was it scary for you to write about these things? It was. It was emotional and it was therapeutic at the same time. Writing about that for me made me realize how much I internalized a lot of my problems and a lot of my struggles. And when I really look back at it, I think the root of it is obviously I come from a very faith-based family. I'm Christian. I love my relationship with God. But at the same time, I didn't know, hey, why am I the way I am? Because that's what people told me I need to be, or is this what I

believe in? And it took, it took that walk. And then it also took me going through in a weird way, a very hyper masculine community of football in the locker room in that environment to really keep me quiet as far as not talking to people, not expressing myself. It's not cool to be emotional. It's not cool to not get chicks and go out and get laid. Like that, that wasn't, that was something that I struggled with really hard. And I didn't really have, I didn't really have much, much in the way of expressing that or talking through with anybody other than a therapist. And that was even challenging at times. I think it's really awesome how you wrote about this in your book because I feel like so many people go through the same thing and they're scared to talk to somebody.

They don't really know where to look. But with someone like you, like a big name like you and you put it out there for everyone, it's very relatable. And people can just read this and feel better with themselves knowing, hey, I'm not the only one going through this. Thank you. No, yeah. And then that's what, when I'm going back and forth how much I wanted to get into this, I finally realized how much it would have meant for me to have somebody to talk to or have somebody expressed that in a weird way, just to know that I'm not alone, just to know that

it's okay to ask questions. It's okay to try to figure things out and you shouldn't feel shamed for it or you shouldn't be labeled or deemed weird just because you're trying to figure yourself out. Right. And did you, so obviously you said this was very therapeutic for you. you writing this. During your process, did you share this with anybody? Like, was, were you sharing parts with your mom or sharing parts with Cassie? Or did you, like, write it and then hand them the finished product and be like, all right, you can read it now? I actually compartmentalized a lot of it,

meaning, I wrote about my parents' divorce. I obviously ran that by them. And that was, that was the first time I really addressed that with them. I just sort of blocked that out and acted like it was fine, but for the first time I actually got details and asked questions that I never really asked before. And then as far as my relationship with Cassie, I actually took a few things out and maneuvered some things around because she's not as open as I am. And I have to remember there's two people in this relationship and do and say affects her too. So it was a work in progress just with Cass and talking through certain things. And also, it's not easy for her to have to read about my previous relationship. So I wanted to make sure

was very transparent with that as well because it was it's still a part of my life right it's still a made me into who I am and got me to where I'm at today definitely um so what would you say now that the book is out and it seems like you're done with bachelor franchise shows right because where else unless you make a cameo there's right what would you say is the easiest part about it and what would you say is the hardest part about it? Like moving past it. Yeah, I'm actually so excited to move on and I know that seems weird and I once again, I know I have frustrations. I know sometimes I vent and say things towards the franchise, but I have nothing but love and respect for them. But I'm so excited to move on to because I think in a weird way, I was, I'm still fighting

the label of Bachelor, just like I was fighting a label of football player. And I don't like labels. And I want to keep moving on. I want to keep moving forward. So I'm excited in a way for me. this book was a way to take ownership of my story and myself again and just own it and be even more expressive and tell stories how I want to tell them and take control of my life again, but also to close the door on that on the Bachelor franchise and move on. So I'm excited. Yeah, definitely. And we, there was a line I'm going to totally botch it, but you basically alluded to how your non-sex life was such a huge topic and how everybody couldn't stop talking about it and if there is other stuff going on nobody's talking about it and

that's just like the way it said um nobody talks about your sex life unless you don't have one then that's all yeah that's what it was and i was like oh colon you slide dog no it's so true though i learned it the hard way but it's so true is i always tried i tried it one time and i didn't really read well in an interview but like i had a reporter obviously digging in and I was like, so what about you? Like, how are you? I was like, did you have sex with your husband this weekend? Great.

You know what I mean? That's amazing. I was like, it's awkward, huh? So she ended up, I think. Yeah. I really love that line. It cracked me up. Yeah, that's so good.

And you're so right, though. Like, I think people think when they watch somebody on TV that they're not a real person and that they're just somebody like a fake TV character. And then you think about it in your position, you're like, wait a second. If somebody was talking about me like this, constantly asking these questions, I also would be a little bit uncomfortable. Yeah. You know, and I understand.

I signed up for it, right? I signed up for people to be in my life and I'm all for it. It just comes to a certain point because I'm like, okay, you guys are beating this into the ground. Nobody finds this interesting anymore. It was interesting for like maybe a month of The Bachelorette and then it got to me where they tried to push it as my identity. I was like, whoa, let's find me love.

Let's not try to get me late. Like that's Yeah. Joke guided for. Like find a new joke. Like when somebody keeps retelling a joke. Like, all right,

this one's old now. I'm going to do it. I make mistakes. You can definitely find something else to make fun of me for it. When you went through like the limo entrances for the girls and all the jokes, when I, and reading it and writing had a much bigger effect.

I was like, wow, I forgot how much they really laid into this. It was crazy. But so now, like obviously you said, you've been home because you have been sick. But besides, you know, getting sick and dealing with that,

how has life been with Cass? Because you are also open in the book, too, about once the show ended some ups and downs for you guys. Yeah, 100%. And I'll say this. I mean, we're a normal couple. We struggle sometimes in our relationship. And relationships are hard work.

I'm not going to lie to you. I mean, even we might make it look perfect on Instagram. I'm here to tell you that's not always. the case. We fight. We choose not to share our fights and our discussions like that. Hey, we and I are both in quarantine with our boyfriends right now, so we understand. Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, we just, honestly, I mean, we hit a, hit a patch where we were both so busy and distracted and had our own things going on and we sort of forgot what made us so good and compatible as a couple. And I think getting back to that after we had our brief 72 hours split or whatever,

It was just good because we addressed, we addressed things that we put off for the longest time because we made excuses of, oh, we're too busy to get into it now. We have to do this press interview together and I don't want to be in a bad mood or fight and going into it. So it's just weird, it was weird, stupid things. And I mean, there's struggles in any relationship, let alone on one's publicized. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, I would be, like, the thing is, I would be more concerned if somebody was always like,

oh, no, we're perfect. We're totally great. all the time. I'd be like, no, you're not. And also, sometimes a big fight, I feel like, is what you need to become even closer, if that makes sense. Like, you get everything out, and then all of a sudden you're brought even closer. Right. Right. It says a lot about a couple and, like, how they fight and if they can get through a fight. Um, I have, just, this is a personal question because I, Ria's going to laugh. I didn't tell I was going to ask this. So Cassie's sister, Michelle, dates Greg Sulkin. Oh, yeah. And I love him. Love Greg Salton. And I have to ask,

like, you guys go on double dates all the time. What's, what's he like? Greg is one of the best human beings. So my family came down and my, my dad and my bonus mom, they were like, we just want to take Greg home. I think his British accent just makes, like, Greg can call me an asshole and I would say thank you to him. Yeah. He has like that type of charm and personality and he's just overall, just a really good dude. And I can't, I mean, I don't know. I can't say enough good things about Greg. I love to hear that. That's exactly what we would want to hear about Greg. I honestly. Yes, definitely, definitely. Colin, thank you so much for for joining us. We loved reading your book. We thought it was fantastic.
