Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners.

This is...
What's up, everyone?
It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Frand, giving you that Friday energy on a Thursday.
Per usual, we have a wonderful episode for you today.
Trent was the luggage guy, so we talk all about that in our Bachelor recap, plus some other topics.
so we are ready to get into it.
But first, we have a very hot topic discussion to talk about in this intro.
It needs to be talked about.
It's being talked about on Twitter right now.
So let's talk about it.
Okay.
So this woman, she has gone viral on Twitter, Wendy.
She posted a video of her seat and the man behind her on a flight from New Orleans to Charlotte.
And she was in the second and last row, or I think it looked like.
the second last row because the man behind her
did not have the ability to decline his seat.
He was up against the wall.
And so
he had his like tray table down
and he was watching something on his phone
but his phone was on the tray table
and the video is
of him just like shaking this woman's chair
incessantly like just not stopping.
And now she claims that the flight attendant
didn't do anything to help that she actually offered him
a free drink like that they felt bad for him.
and that he like punched her seat multiple times at one point
and like that he was eating at one point
but then she wasn't reclining but then she did recline.
The whole thing is insane and it is really just started this argument online
especially on Twitter of people arguing about reclining on airplanes
and I feel like this conversation has happened before
but not to the extent of this man absolutely shaking this woman's seat like it's an earthquake.
Right.
And now people are siding with the guy because they're like, this girl shouldn't have reclined her seat.
She thought posting the video was going to benefit her.
Like, look at this asshole.
Sheaking my seat.
And it flipped.
Everyone was like, you're the asshole for reclining your seat.
It makes no sense to me because why would they make the seats reclineable?
Right.
Is that the word?
Why would they be able to recline if you're not supposed to recline?
I will 100% of the time recline my seat.
Yeah, I will.
I'll do anything for some extra space.
I absolutely hate sitting up.
in an airplane chair. I hate it. If I could recline just a little bit, I'm going to do it. I'm not worried
about the guy behind me. If you're not recline, the seat is straight up at a 90 degree angle. Right. And if you are
not in the last seat of the plane, you will also be able to recline and the person behind you will be
able to recline. So if you all just recline, everyone will be even besides the guy in the back of the
plane. Like if you buy that ticket, that's not my fault. If you buy that ticket or if you're
shit out of luck and it's the last seat on the plane and you have no other choice, that's unfortunate. That just
sucks for you. Like, she shouldn't have to worry about that. Keith, K. Marco, our editor-in-chief at
Barstool, tweeted, you know, that just he and everybody's fighting about it, right? And he was just
like, all the rules go out the window when you're on an airplane anyway because you only care
about yourself. Like, the rules, everybody else can go fuck themselves, basically. But I don't know,
I have a weird, I've always been weird with reclining my seat. Like, I, at first, I did not,
because I did feel like a jerk to the person behind me
and I didn't but I've kind of gotten over that
because normally
first of all I always look and see like what
what's going on behind me
and if it's like a massive guy who's really struggling
he's you know you know six 10
and I'm like this poor guy's cramped
then I won't do it I understand
but if it's just a you know
your regular old person
I probably will especially
and I don't like to be the one
make the first move though. So if the person in front of me reclines and I'm like oh now I'm going to
recline, you know, it's got to be domino effect. So that like once the first person goes, then you're
like, oh, well, the person in front of me reclines, so I'm going to recline. Yeah, that's what I said.
If you recline, then the person behind you reclines, the person behind you reclines, you just keep reclining
all the way down until you get to the last person who can't recline. Right. And that's your fault
because you got that seat. And look, sorry. You can be pissed about the person in front of you reclining.
But you cannot start shaking their chair like an absolute asshole.
You can't punch the chair.
You say, excuse me, I don't have a lot of room back here.
Do you mind if you keep your chair up?
Even that, I think, is just crossing a line.
If I was in that position, I would suck it up.
I would sit there and I would say, okay, I ended up with this seat in the back.
I can't recline.
This person has a recliner seat.
I'm jealous of them.
I'm going to be mad this whole flight, but I'm just going to keep it inside.
I'm going to be mad the entire time on the inside.
This flight, also, what I was very curious about was.
like what's the length of this flight, right?
Because you're flying across the country, any of those things,
recline your seat.
If there is a time where the majority of the plane is sleeping
or anything like that, recline your seat.
It's insane.
You're reclines so that it helps.
Right.
And there are people who can't fit or they really need to do it.
Like you said, a billion times the chair wouldn't have the ability to decline
if you weren't supposed to recline.
This flight was from New Orleans to Charlotte.
it and it is a two-hour flight.
Two hours.
Like, you just got to suck it up.
Right, you can't recline, that's it.
But then I also see the other side of the-
I see the other side of the argument for two hours.
It's only two hours, suck it up, and don't recline your seat.
But once again, I have an issue with, I guess you can make the argument for many things
in life.
like if I have this ability to do something, why wouldn't I do it?
Right.
Some of those things are bad things.
But reclining your airplane seat.
You follow the armrest rule though, right?
The middle person gets both.
What?
That's the thing.
That's like an unwritten rule.
Like if you're in the middle, you get...
You get both?
You get both.
Is that why when I was on the flight in L.A.,
that guy kept changing all my channels and I couldn't say anything because his arms were on it?
And I was totally cool with his arm being on it.
but he was changing all my channels constantly.
I mean, I'm not really a huge armrest person anyway.
So like, I'm not really like settled into the arms.
That's something I don't, I'm not worried about.
Like I'm not.
I'm not.
Rusting myself back like, oh, like, you're snug with both arms rest.
Like kicking my elbows out.
Like, um.
I have noticed that now you say it.
Well, now the remote control thing makes so much more sense.
I don't usually say remote control guys.
I usually say remote.
Yeah.
People complain about everything when you're flying anyway.
So like the, the,
The reclining, your seat argument has happened for a very long time.
It's just one of those things.
Yeah, call me selfish.
You know, if the person in front of me reclines, I'm going to recline.
Especially if there is a TV on the seat.
Then you're too close.
Because then you're too close.
You got to flip the screen.
It's bad for your eyes.
Wendy, the woman who took this video, says that there were no...
I love that.
Her name is Wendy.
I know.
Her name is Wendy Williams.
Wendy or Wendy?
Wendy.
Wendy.
Okay. I thought you were saying windy. I was like, that's...
Was I saying Wendy? Her name is Wendy.
Wendy. Yeah. It's like interesting name. Okay. Wendy Williams is her name.
Wendy Williams. Yeah. She is a... How did you leave that part out from the beginning?
Yeah. She looks like a middle-aged white woman.
Wendy Williams. And yeah. And she's the one you can see like the corner of her face in the video.
But she also said that there were no TVs on this flight. So it wasn't even like she was shoving this guy's
TV screen into his face.
It just wasn't even there.
But, like,
have you seen the video?
I'm going to, look,
I'll, I'll watch this.
Like the whole, this whole time,
he's just shaking her chair.
Yeah, I mean, that's ridiculous.
And she's just taking it?
Well, I think she started to,
I think she started to yell at him first.
Yeah.
And that didn't work.
She tried to get this.
Right.
She tried to get the flight attendant involved.
And they didn't really care.
And then she started filming.
What is that guy's problem?
She wrote that he didn't care that she was filming.
She's been talking about...
If you act like that in general,
you shouldn't be allowed on airplanes.
Like, she's been fighting with people on Twitter
because they're actually...
Really, like, people being unbelievable,
unbelievably rude to reclining her seat.
Who knew people got that mad?
Maybe people will stop listening to our show
after they hear our recliner takes.
They're like, did you...
Set some people off?
Right. After much, it's our...
So she said this, she posted the whole video because she would have been fighting with American Airlines, that they were not cooperating with her.
She was trying to share what had happened in the flight and it seemed like they didn't really care that the, that the stewardess had offered a complimentary cocktail to the man.
And so this guy writes, did you have your seat recline?
That will set people off.
And she goes, I did.
He asked me to put it up while he ate.
I did.
When he finished eating, I reclined it again.
Then the barrage of punches came.
I didn't know you can't recline your seat.
Why do they recline?
Everyone else had theirs reclined.
And then this person wrote back,
it is considered bad manners to recline more than an inch.
The seats reclined because airlines used to give us enough room that you could recline
without cutting into your neighbor's breathing space.
I'm guilty of getting angry when someone does that when I'm stuck in economy.
And she wrote, do tell me what manual this is in, because everyone had their seats reclined.
I was the only one being pummeled.
And my seat didn't have the capacity to recline much.
Did you watch a video?
He had a flat tray table.
His knees were not up in his chest, though I wish they had been now.
So she also said that she has some back problems.
History of back problems.
She was just looking to recline her seat.
But it really is insane looking at these people.
A lot of people have deleted their tweets back at her.
But are people being like very aggressive with her for reclining your seat?
Yeah.
So you know what?
We're here to tell you if you want to recline your seat.
Maybe you're on a flight right now.
listening to this. It's so tough. So tough. And you know what? I would, I would too probably feel bad
if the person behind me did not have the ability to recline. And but I don't know. It's tough. It's tough.
It's just how you're feeling that day. Yeah. My back hurts. I'm reclining. Yeah. If I'm in a,
if I'm in a mood where I want to recline, I'm going to recline. If I'm feeling really generous and I feel like
I want to be a little extra nice today, I feel like have been doing my best and I want a little extra luck.
Maybe I won't recline for the sake of you.
I will say two hours I could probably make it without reclining.
I have a really bad back.
Yeah.
It's hard for me to sit there and not recline.
That's why I normally, wait, can I actually admit something?
Yes.
Okay.
So like I already told you how I looked to turn around to see who's behind me so that I don't
feel bad or if I do feel bad about reclining.
We are going to Vegas for your sister's Bathurst.
Yes.
And you sent me the flights and you.
seats. Yes. I picked the seat in front of you on both flights.
That's completely okay. Because I, because I wouldn't feel bad of reclining if you're sitting behind me.
So you did that purposely? Yes. Oh. I did it purposely. So you did it purposely knowing that if I
reclined, I wouldn't piss anybody off because it's you. It's me. Well, I mean, I guess that's fair.
I'm not mad, but damn. What if we had this conversation and I was a person who got mad about
reclining? I know you're not. Okay. Yeah. That's fair.
Good point.
I'm just throwing hypotheticals out there.
I didn't know.
You're just punching her shit for the whole time.
I didn't know that you're not.
Now that I know this,
be prepared to see some videos of me
just absolutely destroying French chair,
kicking the shit out of it.
Oh, man.
All right.
Let's get into the show.
Let's get into the show.
We got a few topics.
We have Justin Bieber talking about him and Haley
and what they do when they're just, you know,
relaxing on their off time,
maybe reclining.
Maybe if they feel like it.
We also have some great news about Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas.
They are expecting a baby.
And we have the full Bachelor recap with the luggage guy, Trent, plus our interview with Allison Stoner.
Oh, and we're talking about that Bachelor conspiracy that everybody wanted us to talk about.
That'll be right after the recap.
Yes, exactly.
Yep.
So let's get into it, starting off with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner.
Kissing strangers.
As you all know, we absolutely love.
I love E. We love the shows on there. I love nightly pop and daily pop and all the new shows that they're coming up with. And the people who work there, they're all hilarious and they're great at their jobs. All the hosts are amazing. And with the soup coming back, we get to meet a brand new host, Jade Katta Preta. She is a super fan. She's a comedian and she will catch viewers up on what they've missed and offers hilarious commentary on the most talked about pop culture.
moments. If you don't know, the soup was a show previously hosted by Joe McCale and offered a comic
recap of the week's major events in the world of entertainment, sports, and politics. And now
it's back. Like I said, Jade Katta Preta will be hosting it now. And it's a new revamped version of
the soup. It covers the latest OMG moments from TV to pop culture, viral videos, and everything in
between. It premiered last night on E, and it was a great watch.
It's going to continue to be a great watch.
So make sure you tune in and be sure to not miss any upcoming episodes.
It's on The Soup.
Tune in to E Wednesdays at 10-9 Central.
You won't regret it.
Very, very unexpected news.
Yeah.
Really unexpected news.
Just Jared posted the exclusive that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are having a baby.
Sophie Turner is confirmed pregnant.
Who would have seen this coming?
So they say.
Yeah, so they say.
Has not been confirmed by either of these people yet.
No, but when somebody says they have an exclusive, I tend to believe it.
And it was just, it's just interesting.
The whole thing is very interesting, right?
Because it is a very high profile couple.
And you would think either maybe they had some kind of announcement plan.
Maybe they didn't have anything planned at all.
But for just Jared to get the exclusive is interesting.
Like I'm curious as to what source was like,
know what? I'm taking this to Jared.
Yeah. It has to be somebody
who's good friends with somebody at Just
Jared and they wanted to help them out. Because usually this would go
to People or E. Or you know, maybe if the Jonas
Bollars want to sit there away. This is a ginormous
story, you know, a ginormous
story to break. So I guess
you know, this is it. Multiple
sources exclusively told Justjared.com
that they are expecting their first
child. The source said
that the couple is keeping things very hush-hush,
but their friends and family are super excited for them.
Another said Sophie has decidedly been choosing outfits to wear on and off the carpet
to accommodate her changing body.
So there we go.
I mean, she's pregnant.
I'm not, it's weird because I didn't have like an insane reaction to this
only because I've just been waiting for this.
Like I've just been waiting.
They're Kevin, a father, Joe, Nick just got, you know,
recently married. I just feel like they're all on the same page that they want to be family
men, husbands, fathers. So I was just like, yeah, this makes sense. I would have, I did think it
would be Priyanka. See, I was going to say, I thought it would be Nick and Priyanka first. Now,
not to call Priyanka old, but she is older. Then Sophie Turner, Sophie Turner is only 23 years
old. Priyanka, you know, she's getting up there. She's 37. Oh my God. I'm sorry. Every time we say
she's 37, I'm still shocked. I'm like, who. Yeah.
Well, I mean, she looks absolutely unbelievable.
Like she, you, you could tell somebody that Priyanka was like 26 and they'd be like, absolutely.
You know, like it's, it's, it's, she has, she has that gift.
But yeah, I just, I just also would have assumed that it would have been Nick and Priyanka for probably that exact reason.
But that doesn't mean that Nick and Priyanka, it could happen very soon.
It could happen at the same time.
Who knows?
Yeah.
I would say it's happening soon.
Like I said, Sophie turns.
is only 23 years old, I would usually say, like, that's really young to be having a child.
Like, that would be me having a child.
That's, ugh.
I'm like getting shivers thinking about that.
But, Auntie Fran.
No, no, please don't even say that.
You're making me want to throw up on the mic right now.
But they just, Joe Jonas and her, they seem so much her.
They're married already.
It's not weird.
Yeah, I mean, even when she got engaged and she was so young, everyone was like,
she's so young, they're getting engaged, she's so young.
but she has always made it pretty clear, I feel like,
that that is just the life that she's wanted.
She's wanted to have a family.
She's wanted to be married.
You know, like that, and obviously, I feel like, you know,
I guess kids for her is the next step,
regardless of how old she is.
I mean, this, Sophie Turner's lived a billion lives already
at the age of 23 just with the massive success of Game of Thrones
and being a child actress so young and really having to grow up so fast.
So even though she's 23, it's like, you know, 35 in actress years.
Could be even older than that in actress years.
Yeah.
But congrats to them, very happy for them.
I'm so exciting.
Joe is going to be the cutest little smush dad.
I know he's going to be a dad.
Joe Jonas is going to be a dad.
Oh, I want to interview them again so bad so we could talk to him about being a dad.
Ooh.
So cute.
Really, really cute.
I'm so excited for them.
I wonder if they'll have some big announcement.
I'm sure they will.
Or whatnot.
Just thinking of, just imagining all of them to the holidays.
You might write a song for her.
Yeah.
Oh, for his daughter.
Or son.
There's no boys.
I don't know why.
Yeah.
I don't know why I said daughter.
I'm just hoping they had his little daughter.
I mean, it would be funny if they just all had a ton of girls.
But they got to have some.
Somebody be, they got to have somebody keep the Jonas Dayball.
Why did I just assume it was a daughter?
I don't know.
Freaky.
Maybe I'm psychic and I'm predicting that they will have a daughter.
Kevin has two girls.
But I'm just thinking of all them, you know, when they'll have just tons of Jonas,
Jonah, I babies run around.
Because I don't care when I'm with my baby, yeah.
All the bad things disappear.
You're making me feel like maybe I am somebody with the bad.
Justin Bieber was performing somewhere.
He had a little Q&A.
And they asked him...
It was in London.
It was in London.
Yeah.
And they asked him what him and Haley like to do.
They'd Netflix and chill, but mostly chill.
Yeah, he, I don't know.
Let's see, Noah was on TMZ if you want to find the video of it because it was like this whole long, not whole, wasn't that long.
It was just like a minute long of him talking about life and marriage and putting in the work and that what he and Haley did.
Got it?
All right.
So when I'm with my wife, we like to, I mean, you guys can guess what we do all day.
It gets pretty crazy, I'll tell you that.
This wasn't even what I was talking about.
But, no.
Yeah.
Man, that's pretty much all we do.
To be honest.
This isn't even what I was talking about.
movies. We love to Netflix and chill.
Yeah, yeah.
We do more of the chilling part, but
what I'm assuming is that these girls and Haley have a lot of sex.
I just enjoy, you know, I mean, I play a lot of sports, as you guys know.
The girls of the crowd were just, you know, getting hot and sweaty.
I'm actually getting hot and sweaty.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't hear the first part of that clip.
And who do you think about it.
These two have very publicly talked about how when they got,
got back together that they decided that they would not be sleeping together because of reasons.
And that when they were, they would, you know, they obviously, well, actually, you know,
I don't want to make any assumptions for Haley, but I would assume that they have obviously
had sex before.
Yes.
I'm assuming.
I'm assuming they have had sex before with each other.
Yeah.
And, you know, Haley's ever been like, oh, I've had tons of sex.
Like, Justin's been like, oh, I've had tons of sex.
So they went into this thinking like let's wait until we're actually married.
Then they got married very quickly.
And here they go.
Just probably having sex all the time.
Not shocking.
Not shocking.
Not shocking at all.
I've always kind of wondered how much sex they were having.
I'm assuming a lot of this album is going to be him talking about them having sex.
We already heard yummy.
Yeah.
And he was like, you know what it's about.
Toes curling.
Yeah.
Tons of lines in that song.
tons of sex. Good for them.
What's what I'm supposed to say? Like, I guess
I guess we wanted to know that. Yeah, yeah. It just
has everybody freaks out over it, which really
always makes me laugh. I mean, if I was in the crowd and Justin Bieber is
talking about how much sex he's having in front of me, I too
would be screaming. Well, it's also like
the way he says it, right? You know, imagine you get like a little
you know, cocky Justin Bieber. He's up there. He's like, you know,
more chilling than anything. Maybe he winks at the crowd. All the girls pass out.
Girl in the crowd wants to fuck in.
So, of course, they're screaming.
Every girl freaks out.
Yeah.
It's true.
It's true.
But I have to watch, I think the episode that came out today for the Beaver documentary was wedding-related.
Oh, I haven't seen it yet, but I saw one tweet that was like, look at just, you can see Justin looking at Haley for the first time.
Or like just see Justin's reaction at Haley walking down the aisle.
So I think that one came out today
But I also think that one came out today
If you're a premium member
A premium member
Which we are because it is moving on a slow pace
But I think we're already on like seven or eight
Right
Three hours ago, the wedding
The wedding
It's only 10 minutes long though
Is that seven or eight?
This is
Do do do do episode seven
It doesn't say
It just says
The wedding
Okay, it's got to
It's got to be, it's got to be seven or eight.
Because I think there's only, there's only 10 episodes, so we're nearing the end.
It's almost over.
Oh, yeah, this is, oh, there's two episodes out today.
Oh, two episodes?
Planning the wedding a year later and then the wedding.
And the wedding.
Oh my God, two episodes about the wedding?
I have to get home.
Excuse me, I have to leave the show.
I didn't realize there's something more important for me to see immediately.
We have our Bachelor recap with Trent coming up, but before we discuss everything that happened on Monday's episode.
Guys, just a reminder that you should be watching every bachelor with a nice, cold, Coors Light.
It is the best beer out there.
We have talked about Coors Light many times before.
We were so excited for them to become a sponsor of our show because we truly love.
Love, love, love,
Coors.
We had an amazing trip
to the Coors Brewing Company,
Golden, Colorado,
when we went to go see the
George Brothers.
And guys,
Cors Light,
it's,
what we're talking about right now
is very important.
It's that time of year
where you feel the pressure
to maybe be with somebody.
It's, you know,
the classic cuffing season.
But you don't need to worry about that.
I know Valentine's Day is coming up.
If you're stressed out about it,
if you're worried about it,
the best solution,
Have a nice Coors Light.
Coors Light is a perfect beer to chill when you want to skip cuffing season, do your own thing.
You don't need to find anybody for Valentine's Day.
You don't need that pressure.
The best way to celebrate is just to grab your friends, grab your girls, whoever it is,
doesn't matter.
Relax, chill out, have a Coors Light.
It's the season of self-care, so take some you time.
Nothing pairs better with a chill moment to yourself than Coors Light.
Cor's light believes in turning off from all the pressures and crap of cuffing season.
Their new ad has been fantastic if you've seen it on TV.
It's just all about women who are skipping cuffing season.
Stay home to chill with your dog.
Stay home to hang out with your friends.
Whatever it is, do it with a chorus light.
Like we said, there's a pressure of kind of just always being go, go, go.
The best way to unwind, relax, especially when you're watching The Bachelor.
You got two hours on your Monday nights.
You want to kick back, relax, have some Coors Light while you're watching.
It's the best way to just turn off, relax, and only pay attention to that wonderful, wonderful episode in front of you.
That's why Coors Light is the one we choose when we need a moment of chill.
So this year, skip cuffing season and chill with a Coors Light instead.
And always remember to celebrate responsibly while enjoying your Coors Light.
Cheers. Thank you guys.
The world's most refreshing podcast.
Yes.
So we're going to get into our Bachelor recap.
I'm setting the stage.
It's Monday night.
The Bachelor is coming on at 8 p.m.
We know that luggage guy, Trent, is going to make his appearance because we saw the teaser last week.
We don't know when.
We don't know when it's happening.
We're just so excited and nervous.
And like we said last week, we saw the teaser.
So everybody thought that was it.
Right.
Not everybody.
But some people were like,
like, wait, that wasn't it.
There's more.
Right.
There's more.
Way more.
I would say way more.
I would say you...
It was double the amount of time at least.
Double the amount of time at least.
You were on for one second in the teaser.
You were on for at least...
At least three.
At least five seconds for this one.
I think you guys are right.
Yeah.
I think it was probably about three or four seconds.
It was way more than...
And it was pure joy.
It was way longer.
So we had a watch party at the office because we realized watching at the office is a lot of fun.
Now we did it last week.
Six seconds.
Six seconds.
Six seconds.
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Six seconds of fame.
So we had a watch party.
I got Trent Champagne, although he only took one step of it.
Tyler and his friends came by.
They wanted to watch The Bachelor because Tyler was going to be on Good Morning America the next day.
Let's make it very clear.
Once he came, we learned that he doesn't have cable.
And he was looking for somewhere to watch because he had a big TV spot on Good Morning America.
Yeah, I was like, oh, boy, what an event this is.
Tyler C.
He wants to come watch.
He needed somewhere to watch it so that he knew what the heck he was talking about because he hasn't watched one episode.
So he, you know, he wanted to watch with us.
He came by.
He watched the whole thing.
His friends were with us.
We had a great time.
Great time.
Live tweeting.
Yep.
And, of course, just leading up to Trent as the luggage guy.
Now, we're going to get to that.
But let's start off talking about the actual show.
Yeah.
And then get to Trent's moment.
And then we will elaborate when that happens.
Yes.
I would let's, I wanted to.
to see if there was something else I wanted to say.
Oh, I think we definitely gave Tyler the live tweeting bug.
You know, he hasn't really watched.
But I feel like you saw us live tweeting and was like, this looks like a great time.
It's a rush.
Yeah.
And we were sending out risky, risky tweets.
Like some tweets that I wrote, I wouldn't have tweeted, but Tyler was like, do it.
I was, okay, I guess I'll do it.
You had one that was, I thought, particularly risky, which was the Luke P one.
The Luke P one, yeah.
Tyler sent that to me and he was like, this went over really well.
I was like, nope.
Nope.
Not at all.
Not at all.
Thank you, sir.
But it is what is.
It's all jokes.
I like Madison.
Yeah.
I was joking.
Okay.
So the episode started.
We know that they're in Peru, obviously.
And Peter got to FaceTime with his mom, which like, okay.
Is this allowed?
Like we can just face time you can just face on your parents?
Was that the first time we saw a phone on this show?
It wasn't even.
Phony at a goddamn laptop.
Oh, oh, sorry.
You know what once again?
Watching this show last night was hard.
It reminded me of, was it Ari who would do, who did the selfie videos?
Colton.
Colton.
That's right.
It felt like they were just trying to mix it up a little bit.
Obviously, it's different if you can FaceTime like your parents, which I thought it was.
I just feel like they kind of made Peter's mom like a character on the show.
Well, she's in the previews.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
So like she just to pop in every once in.
And they had a full date with, with Pete's mom.
parents.
Right, exactly.
I thought it was fine.
I thought it was just interesting.
It just made me laugh because I was like, do the other bachelors and bacheloretts
get to face-time their parents all the time?
Like, or is this just Pete?
I would say no.
Yeah.
I think they're pretty much in their own world for the whatever two months.
So Peter goes to the girls hotel room.
He is just basically saying to them like, there's six of you left.
I'm taking this very seriously want to find my wife and just to tell the girls to
really think about if they can see a future with him.
having a family with him one day.
So he like, he, I feel bad for Peter because I really do think that he wants us to work.
Like I think he really wants to, you know, find his wife and have that.
And it's just like there's just too many, there's just too many things happening.
And he's just, um, making the wrong decisions.
He's just like picking the wrong people.
Um, but he gives the first one-on-one date to Madison.
we knew right away that you did not pull Madison's luggage
because she put her luggage outside,
not the same suitcase.
What a relief.
I know.
I was relieved,
legitimately because I've had Madison number one of my power rankings for the majority of the season,
almost since episode one.
And I did not want to pull Madison's luggage.
So when she put it up against the area where a potential luggage person would go in
and pull it,
it wasn't the purple one from the preview.
Yeah.
And I was relieved.
Thank God.
And there was no way.
There's no way Madison isn't just probably going to win.
Right.
Like I had no fear because she is so far ahead of all of the other girls
and Pete is so much more into her than all of the other ones that I wasn't that nervous about it.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So they go on this kind of boat trip for the day.
This is their date.
First of all, Madison didn't notice that Pete's bandage was off his forehead.
And I feel like Pete was slightly insulted.
He was like, my bandage.
He was.
My bandage is gone.
You kind of.
shouldn't have to say, like, hey, remember that huge bandage I've had on my head for weeks now?
It's gone now and you just didn't say a word about it.
Yeah.
That seems strange.
It was.
It was.
So they go on this boat and Peter was hugging Madison in like the weirdest way possible.
Like he, his whole body was just like crammed into her.
It was looked very uncomfortable.
Do you remember what the.
Oh, yeah.
It's a very, it's a very strange.
I don't remember this.
I just mouthed them.
I don't.
I was, he was giving time.
I will, I will demonstrate, try and keep talking about it.
He will get, he was giving 98% of the hug.
Madison, yes, that's exactly what it was like.
This is how he was sitting.
It's very nice.
But imagine I was Pete.
It's very nice.
Oh, and Matt, that's a little much.
Like, Madison.
That's what I'm saying.
Like, a guy laying on me like that.
Like, okay, you're doing a little much, bud.
Yeah.
He was given, like I said, 98%.
Madison was kind of like,
Yeah, this is fine.
Yeah.
Oh, it's all coming back to me because this is when I said.
I'm not to lie.
I'm mad that that camera wasn't here.
We just missed that.
I demonstrated Pete's whole hug.
Yeah.
The camera wasn't working.
Oh, no.
Redo it or something.
Oh, shoot.
I remember now because that's when I said Madison had a nice butt.
Yes.
That is correct.
You did say that?
That is when I said that.
Correct.
It's not coming back now.
Yep.
So they're on this, they're on this boat.
Then they go to a bigger boat where they are fishing.
Peter catches a fish.
They're having a nice.
nice time. Then they start to have like that, you know, real conversation where Madison
reassures Peter that she is, she's there, she's there for the long haul, she wanted to put
herself through this whole thing if she didn't see a future with him. And then they just make out
extensively, of course, lots of making out. Now, we've been, they've been hinting at this for a while.
And we all know that at the beginning of the season, when they played the whole preview for the
whole season, there was a moment where somebody was like, it was just a voice.
It was like, oh, she hasn't told Peter that she's a virgin.
You know, there's something that alluded, I don't remember the exact wording,
but something that alluded to there being a virgin on the season.
We didn't know who it was.
So.
Did I just miss those hints?
Because I had no idea.
Yeah.
Do you remember what I'm talking about?
I just remember people DMing me saying there's a virgin on the season.
So I don't, I think.
Or maybe it was really early on in the preview.
Yeah, I think it was like the first episode when they showed the whole preview for the whole season.
And someone either that or it was like she hasn't talked about, you know, her fate.
Something along those lines where it's very obvious that she is, that there is a virgin.
Like there's somebody who is saving themselves for marriage who's going to be pissed that sex could be happening at some point with other people.
Boy, I completely missed that or forgot about it because when they were.
rumors of a virgin last night.
I was like, holy shit.
And maybe it's because they usually make such a big deal about it all season or coming
off of Colton's Bachelor from a couple of seasons ago.
They saved it to be the big end explosion.
And not only that, it seems like all the other girls know about it.
So, because like the way they cut it up was that, you know, Peter and Madison,
they're making out the whole thing.
They're on the boat.
But then it cuts to the girls back at the hotel kind of talking about Madison
and that, you know, Madison has a lot of things.
things that she has to tell Peter that she hasn't told him yet.
And Kelsey, in her interview, was saying, you know, religion, her religion is really important
to her.
And I don't think she has really explained the extent of that to Peter.
And that could be something that could potentially be a deal breaker if they're on the same,
they're on different pages for their future.
So it was really interesting to me to think that, like, all these other girls probably
know this about Madison, but they haven't, they haven't put on the show yet.
They haven't had any of the girls, like, expose Madison as being a virgin.
No one has explicitly said the word virgin at all.
At all.
None.
Which made me think that, like, they made, this is the big, this is the whammy.
This is the big ending that we've been waiting for.
Right.
And that's like, you know, because nobody, clearly they knew and just nobody's really
talked about it.
Yeah.
My guess is that Peter finds out that Madison's a virgin.
And then Madison finds out that Peter sleeps with other people.
people on the show.
Yeah.
But she's a virgin.
And then Peter wants Madison in the end.
But Madison is like, nope, because he slept with other people.
All the pieces are.
And then maybe they end up together in the end.
All the pieces are starting to fall into place where we're getting close to it.
And it feels like that's definitely what could happen.
And that's also like how the season might not be, you know, spoilable, you know.
Because it's like if.
he does want to pick Madison, but Madison's already gone, and he has to chase after Madison.
It's like a Cassie Colton thing.
And the show, and the show ends with Peter chasing after her, and we don't know.
And then, like, that's the whole end of the season, and they have to film other stuff.
So that would, that makes a whole, it makes a whole lot of sense.
That they played the teaser for next week.
And as Peter is holding Madison in his arms, he shoots a basketball shot and makes it in winner.
Madison wins.
You think that's like a little foreshadowing?
The same thing happened last season with Hannah B.
Jed got a basketball shot in, one hand, looking at Hannah, and I called it that time.
I was like, that shot was a foreshadowing of something, and then Jed won.
But then you got to think, like, maybe they put it in there this year because you called it
last year, and it's not the foreshadowing that you think that it is.
You see what I'm saying?
I don't think I have luggage guy Trent Pole with the bat.
you know like they're not they don't care about what I say as much as they do about but they could
even with even they could have just been like oh people picked up on this so maybe i don't know i've
forgotten about the jed basketball thing oh i was holding on to that real real real real real real
yeah really last shot yeah i needed jed to win because i was like we would right like we
like we would recap and she'd be like well remember that basketball shot it just was the way it was
set up it just seemed like a foreshadowing to me it's like they're going to look back on this and
be like remember when he made the shot and that's when everybody knew.
Right.
So,
um,
okay,
so Madison and Peter go to the dinner portion of their date.
And Madison is starting to kind of explain how, um,
important her,
her faith is to her.
And she basically gets all the way like borderline to I'm saving myself for
marriage, but doesn't quite get there.
And I'm not like I,
I don't know if Peter's fully picking up what she's putting down.
Like she,
She talks about her family, like her family means so much to her.
She admires and looks up to her dad so much.
She wants someone who reminds her of her dad.
She watched how her dad has loved her mom and their family
and how strong his relationship is with the Lord.
And then she said, you know, faith is my whole life, all of who I am.
When she said faith is my whole life, I was like, oh, read between lines.
Do you think he picked up on it?
I don't think so.
I don't either.
I don't think he was like, once it was like, all right, it's my turn to speak.
I think what he was processing was like, all right, she is very religious.
She's very into her faith.
And that's, that's something that he is not as into, but he's just going to give a response where it's like, I could work on my faith if I needed to.
But I don't think he's thinking in his head like, oh, man, she's a virgin.
Yeah.
Yeah, definitely.
I don't think that he just genuinely thinks, oh, I got to focus a little bit more on my religion.
Right.
Like, that's it.
He just thinks that Madison likes going to church and that Peter might have to attend church.
Yeah.
Exactly.
He had said, you know, that he.
that her faith, her dedication to her faith, how important is, really inspires him.
He said that he has been raised in a Christian household.
And he definitely has faith, but it could be stronger.
He does struggle with it.
But it's something that he does think is important to him.
And he was like, I promise you that.
So, like, they have this moment.
And I think he thought that was it.
And it's also not a situation.
Let's say that he did, he heard that.
And he was like, oh, she's a virgin.
It's not where he can be like, are you a virgin?
Right.
You can't ask that.
I think he thought of it more as, maybe.
Maybe Madison, that would have been, though.
That maybe Madison is just like, just like, I'm hearing all these words you're saying to me.
Yeah.
It's starting to sound like you're a virgin.
I think Madison, I think like Peter thought that Madison just wanted him to be able to say like we could, I could get on that level with you.
Like I understand.
I don't think he was reading into it any more than that.
But then this is something that he said multiple times during the episode that honestly, we truly.
we're not paying that close of attention because when I watched it back, I was like, oh, shit,
I didn't even realize.
But Peter said, I know that I'm falling in love with you, like just straight to Madison's
face.
He has not said that to anybody else.
So clearly he is very, very into Madison and he clearly does not know that she's a virgin.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, if he was going to say it to someone this season, we kind of knew it was going to be Madison
because they've been vibing the whole time.
Yeah.
But it's, it is sort of a strange place to be where he.
He is so into Madison and it's so clear,
but he's still not picking up the signals that she's trying to give to him.
And we're also talking about somebody who is extra horny.
Like,
we're talking about Peter who loves banging.
Yeah.
I mean,
what would he do if he could not have sex?
Yeah.
Right.
This is Mr.
Windmill.
I know,
I know that's like a,
it's sort of overplayed,
but this is a guy did have a lot of sex in that windmill.
People wonder how Victoria F has made it this far.
Like,
Peter wants to have sex with Victoria F.
Yeah.
And in that moment.
Oh, wait, no. I was thinking about, I was going to say they will, but thinking about the teaser for next week for hometowns. I don't think so. Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? So obviously Madison does get a rose. Peter makes a joke about never having been to Alabama, obviously, because, you know, he didn't make that far. Nope. And then we got the one-on-one with Natasha. Natasha hasn't had a one-on-one yet. She's been not necessarily complaining, just saying, like, I mean, I'm not bringing Peter to me, my family. If I don't have a one-on-one with him, that would be insane.
That would be insane. So she finally, that would be insane. So she finally gets her time.
They, Natasha immediately noticed that the bandage was off his face.
Nicely done.
Win some points. They're walking around a street fair. Looks like they're having a great time.
And there really wasn't much to their day date. Probably the best part of it was Peter sitting with her.
And she said, you've shown me more sides than any of the other women here. And she just went, really?
she was just as shocked as all of us.
She was like, what do you mean?
We've talked for five minutes.
She's got to be thinking like, well, then your relationship with everyone else in this house sucks.
Right.
Because you and I have said like 10 words.
I'm the most dynamic woman here.
Right.
What the fuck is going on?
I think we said really all at the same time when she said really.
It was a shocking moment.
It really was.
These two are, it's one of the stranger.
I think it's the strangest one, Elisa, up until last night that just like, I don't understand.
I like Natasha.
She seems other than Kelly, she's the other adult in the.
group and I just don't but I don't understand like I cannot recall any
thing of note where they like are hanging out.
No totally.
I have no.
He's crazy.
He's gone to Natasha when he's needed like a kick in the ass and to like make decisions.
That's when he goes to Natasha because he knows Natasha is going to tell him what to do.
Right.
When he brings back Hannah B too many times, Natasha's like what the fuck are you doing?
Right.
Exactly.
Like she needs he needed somebody to guide her.
He needs somebody to guide her, give her advice, give him advice.
So it seemed like there, I don't know, it was just very obvious.
I feel like for everybody that this wasn't going to go too far.
She said that her last boyfriend broke up with her because he told her she was too intense.
You hate to hear that.
Nothing sucks worth.
Like that's one of those insults that kind of stings more than other ones.
I don't know why.
Because it doesn't really make sense.
What's intense about me?
Right.
And it's like, for, right.
I've actually never been told I was intense, shocking.
It's also one of those things that it's, how do you change that?
Yeah.
Like, if you're an intense person, you're just an intense person.
Right.
So it's like, sorry, I just know what I want.
Like, that's, you know.
Intense is a condescending word to say, like, you're like, you're strong minded.
Like, you are just, you know what you want.
Passionate.
Passionate is a good word.
It's a better word for it.
Yeah.
The other one is just, you're just kind of like, damn, how am I going to, I don't think I can fix that.
No, definitely not.
And so at dinner, watching this back, I was cracking up because at dinner, Pete wanted, he wanted Natasha to send herself home so bad.
Like he did not want to have to be the one to send her home.
He kept asking these questions, like hoping that she would be like, you know what?
You're right.
I don't see the connection.
I should leave because she's talking.
She's like, I do think we have a strong connection.
Peter said, I can see the potential.
And then he kind of paused and he said, do you?
like really see something special
totally hoping that Natasha
would be like you know what I don't
I don't and she was like
I do I do I think she might have said
I really really really really
she was like I really really really do and
Peter was like oh fuck I got to break up with her
yeah I don't think that Natasha felt at that point that she could say
no I don't right you know what I mean like she made it
this far she's right before hometown she's thinking
herself if I say we have a connection maybe it'll keep me maybe we'll go to
hometown she tried her best and she didn't look too shocked to be
sent home anyway. Yeah, I think that
she saw it coming, but she had to lay it all
on the line. Exactly. I agree.
So he picks up the rose.
He talked about how he sees
it is more of a friendship when Natasha.
This is when we all got out of our seats. I know, he picks up the
rose. And this is when we all started freaking out
because we knew it was coming. I was hyperventilating.
I know. He couldn't give her
the rose. He asked if he can walk
her out and like, you know, he's walking her out.
She gets, she leaves. They show
like, you know, a string
there's like a string section play
and music, they cut to the girls in the room,
and then bam, enters Trent,
ready to pull that luggage.
It happened.
The moment happened.
My palms were sweaty just talking about it again.
I just acted like I didn't see it.
And right, when Fran was saying it happened.
I acted like I saw it again.
That's how amazing this moment was watching with you.
How did you feel?
How did you feel after?
I want to hear all your thoughts.
Well, I was very nervous the hours leading up to it.
I couldn't sit still.
I kept telling you guys about how nervous I was.
And I was far more nervous than I was during the teaser.
Like for some reason I knew the teaser was going to be so short.
Yeah.
I was like, it's not going to, people are just going to see it and it's going to go away.
To have the full thing, which like Noah said is like six seconds, for some reason, that just felt like my whole, I'm just going to be out in front of the world.
A lot of people watch this show.
It's a very popular show.
And they're just going to see me just lumber into the room and be like, I'm here to take Natasha's luggage.
So that was scary.
But then I was.
You did really look like an act.
Like you were just unit, a unit coming in there, pulling that.
Like so much so that Judd Apatow posted you on his Instagram,
not knowing who you were, just being like,
this luggage guy's terrifying.
Yeah, you were a villain.
He made up a story that I broke into his home and stole all of his suitcases
because I had such a menacing look.
And I-
So funny, but that's a look you want.
That's what you want in that situation.
I had that in my head.
When I was in Peru doing it, I was like, I got to play it straight.
I'm the luggage guy.
This isn't about me.
It's about the bachelor.
I'm just a piece of this machine.
You're wearing the exact outfit.
This is what I wear.
We have to take a picture.
This is the exact.
But that's the same sweatshirt, right?
I feel like, yes.
I mean, I have a bunch of these.
But I know, but the black crew neck champion sweatshirt is the one you were wearing.
Yes, yeah, for sure.
This is just, you know, this is just what I wear.
And, yeah, Judd Apatel.
That was probably the craziest part of the night.
I want to read the caption.
He wrote, the guy from at BATR ABC who takes your suitcase when you don't get the rose,
just broke into my house and took all my suitcases
and kicked me out onto the street.
He was very cold, unnecessarily so.
And then you commented, oh shit, that's me.
He saw it, replied, said solid work with a bunch of exclamation points,
and then edited his caption to say,
at Marshall Trent, hurt my feelings.
Amazing.
You could possibly be in a comedy movie or just have.
They can make one about you.
They can make one about you.
Or you'll just have little cameos where you just remove bags in his movies.
That's what I want.
I don't need, I don't want to be the star.
I want the same thing that happened in the Bachelor world where I don't want to be a contestant.
I don't want to be the Bachelor.
I want to be just little small parts like the luggage guy.
And if I could then transfer that into Judd-Apital movies, which is something that we're talking about right now, which is weird.
Yeah.
Would be great.
That would be fantastic.
It's incredible.
I mean, how did you feel, we'll talk about more of the Twitter stuff that happened after, but how did you feel right after it happened?
Because then we have to watch the rest of the show and you're just having a full.
lot of mentions.
I do you think that this was really mid-episode.
This was crazier than the teaser, way crazier?
Yes.
Way crazier.
And it's, it was tough.
Like, once it happens, then I have to do, we've got an hour of the episode left.
I didn't, I paid attention, but I was mostly silent just like looking at my phone and
looking at my laptop.
Because it is, it's just like people go crazy, which is, it's awesome.
The response has been phenomenal.
But I did, I didn't pay as close attention to the last hour because I was just like,
it finally happened.
I had a sense of relief.
Because it's just like I was really nervous before.
And then it just happens.
Everyone's fucking jacked up about it.
We're popping champagne bottles.
Like that was really,
really fun.
So once it was over,
I did feel like a little bit of relief.
Yeah.
When I left,
I thought on my head like,
damn,
I feel like I didn't talk to Trent much tonight.
And I think it was just because after it happened,
you did just go completely silent.
Like you went into your zone.
Totally makes sense.
Totally got the,
you know,
got the blog up.
You had to zone in on the,
the fame you were getting.
Robert Mills tweeted today that the Bachelor ratings were up 13% because of Luggage Guy Trent.
And then Chris Harrison.
I mean, yeah.
Chris Harrison comes in and he tweets at Barcelona Trent with the massive cameo was a game changer for the Bachelor.
Hashtag Luggage Guy Trent.
Insane.
Amazing.
Devlin came up to me earlier today and was like, which one was a bigger deal for you?
Just being on the show or having Judd Apatel like put up an Instagram about?
you and I said it's the third option it's that Chris Harrison quote tweeted something about me
having to do with 13% increase in ratings and him being like it was a massive cameo it was a
game changer hashtag luggage guy trend that is a dream come true yeah having Chris Harrison just sort of
tip his cap and be like we're we're glad that we had you on as the luggage guy it's more than
I could have ever dreamed right because I feel like there is obviously a pressure of of not only
being the luggage guy but
than having the reaction to you being the luggage guy
and making sure that everybody at ABC
and the people who let you do this,
you know, happy with the results and everything.
So the pull was so successful,
but it's just also amazing that they are so happy with the pull.
Right.
Like Chris Harrison, Robert Mills, all these people,
like that they're happy at how great it was.
Like if it had come out today,
like Bachelor ratings are down 50%
because we just did not want to see that luggage guy.
It's like, well, it was fun to do, but I might have torpedoed the show.
But to have it be the complete opposite where they're just like everybody's happy,
everybody's making jokes about it.
And it makes it 100 times better, for sure.
And this kind of solidifies your spot in the future to be on the show again, I feel like.
If they were smart.
Yeah, if they're smart.
They know the ratings were up.
They see how many people were talking about you.
I mean, they clearly are tracking it on Twitter.
Chris Harrison is at the point where he's telling us.
You're flagging you.
Something's going to happen from this.
We don't know what it is, but enjoy the moment.
You know, I saw a lot of people saying they would love for you to be The Bachelor.
I know.
I saw that as well.
But then it becomes a thing where Trent is no longer beloved as the luggage guy.
Then he becomes hated.
He's always said he's wanted to be the luggage guy.
You can find, you find yourself in a place where you get like overexposed.
Right.
Where it's like, if I'm on, then you're going to learn more about me.
And people might not like some parts of that.
So it's like, let's just keep me where.
I don't say anything and I walk into a room and, you know, I pull luggage.
Silent killer.
You're not an actor.
I'm not an actor.
You're just the luggage guy.
I'm just a blogger.
Would you say something if they asked you to?
Like if while being the luggage guy?
Yeah.
I think, uh, yeah.
I think if it was one line.
Absolutely.
Can you try doing the clay?
I'm just going to take this luggage.
Oh my God.
That was also a hilarious tweet.
Robert Mills tweeted that, uh, that, that, uh, that,
they will have to keep Trent, that the response has been so great that they'll have to keep
Trent as a luggage guy, but on one condition, he will only be able to use his Clay voice
impression when pulling the luggage that he'll have to speak and talk like clay.
Well, yeah.
I can just take that luggage, I guess.
I'll just go out of the room.
You're going home, Natasha.
I'm really sorry, but somebody's got to go and you're going to be eliminated.
So I'm going to take the luggage.
I'm going to leave.
I mean, we got to send that directly to Robert Mills because he'll lock you in
for next season right now.
He loves that clay impression.
He really does.
I think that above all else, you know, we have, you know, Twitter followers and, and the
barstool machine behind us, I think after it's all sent down, I think the clay impression
is what he's like, I want that guy as the luggage guy.
I think that really is what sealed the deal for you.
I'm almost positive.
Yeah.
It really was.
Wow.
Isn't that just so funny?
Yeah.
Yeah, those reactions.
They were good.
It was a great shot of you walking out of the room.
I know.
A lot of comments.
Some people objectifying me on the internet, but that's okay.
Yeah.
Saw a lot of America's ass comments.
Move over Chris Evans.
Dude, Glennie Balls.
No longer America's ass.
Our beloved co-worker, Glennie Balls put that on his Insta story, and I laughed for 10 minutes.
He's like, that's America's ass.
I was like, that is so goddamn funny.
That really is.
Oh, my God.
I can't get enough of everybody talking about this.
I mean, I couldn't even sleep last night because I was too excited for Trent.
Like, after Judd Apatow posted that, it, I was, I didn't know if I was dreaming.
Like, it was really late at night.
You know what I mean?
Like I just didn't know if this was real life, slept on it, woke up.
It's definitely real life.
You're the luggage guy.
All of this is actually happening.
I was about to go to bed when the Judaptau thing happened.
And it's like, all right, well, I guess I'm up for another two and a half hours.
Yeah.
At least.
I just couldn't sleep.
A lot of adrenaline.
But I'm really glad it had.
I mean, the whole thing has just been insane.
It's been fucking awesome.
I'm honored that you're on this show.
No, shout out to this show.
I did my clay impression on this show.
Your guys's fans are insanely awesome.
They're super nice to me.
Shout out to you guys.
They're super nice to me.
They are.
They love Trent.
Wow, I really appreciate the thank you, Trent.
No, shout out to you guys.
We don't deserve it, but you do.
For letting me come on this show and just like talk about Bachelor stuff every week.
You guys didn't have to do that.
Trent, you're going to make me cry.
It's a very nice.
Thank you for letting me come on the show.
You're so welcome, Trent.
All right.
We'll just go back forward.
Thank you for coming on.
Thank you for coming on.
But we must continue on.
We move into the second hour of the show where Kelsey is now.
going on a one-on-one date with Peter.
I have to say I am utterly shocked that Kelsey made it this far.
Honestly, guys, just like snaps for Kelsey.
Yeah.
Underdog story.
We had Champagne Gate.
We had Pill Popper Gate.
And Kelsey is traveling all the way back to Iowa.
Shout out, Trin.
Huge night for Iowa.
Big night.
I was very worried.
I had a good feeling about that I was going to pull Natasha's luggage, but I would have felt
very bad if I had pulled Kelsey.
Right.
Kelsey's luggage.
Because she's from Iowa.
Iowa people got to stick together, especially in these trying times with the caucus disaster.
But, you know.
What did you say when we were watching that really, it was something about the caucus that really made me laugh?
Oh, I said people probably don't even remember the caucus anymore.
Because I, you know, me and I went having a big night and Kelsey had a big night?
But you said it so casually that it really cracked me up.
I was like, wow, such a big night for Iowa, Trent, you put the luggage, Kelsey, she's going hometowns.
And you were like, yeah, nobody even remembers the caucus.
It's true.
We got to just put that behind us.
and move forward and, you know, Pete's going to go to Iowa.
That's, I'm very excited for that.
That really, that really cracked me up.
Okay, so Pete has another one-on-one with Kelsey.
They went four-wheeling.
They had a great time.
They walked up this ginormous hill that, and Peter was like completely out of breath
trying to have a conversation.
He was like, so, wow, just, you know, talking about our future.
He just, like, could not, could not breathe.
But he was so out of breath in this moment.
He was really, really, really winded.
But it seems like they had.
they had a very nice conversation.
Kelsey, you know, was just talking about wanting to find that balance in her life, wants to be able to work, but be home with her kids.
Because they were having, you know, very real life, real conversations.
They go to dinner and Kelsey had to clear some things up because like most people and their families, when you go to meet their families, there's some things that you don't want brought up.
Like, you know, there's some things that you've got to make sure that is not a talking point.
So she had to make sure that Peter knew everything with her mom, her dad,
basically saying her dad wouldn't be there.
But in the last year, they have kind of started a relationship back up again, sort of.
Her sisters know about it, but her mom does not know about it.
So obviously had to tell Peter like, hey, please don't bring out my dad to my mom.
I feel like if you don't drop.
Yeah, I feel like if you don't drop a massive bomb on your boyfriend or girlfriend about your family
before you go home, then you're not ready to be going home with that.
You know what I mean?
I feel like anytime somebody is introducing a significant other to their family,
there is something they tell them beforehand.
Or even if it's like at the front door, you're like,
by the way, please don't say this.
Please don't bring up my dad at all.
We don't talk about him.
Okay, mom.
Before I open this door, do not say this.
And it's a very real life conversation.
I think it happens in every single relationship.
Totally.
It's such a real conversation in that way where it's like, yeah,
don't talk about my dad when we're there.
It's like, okay, I'm not going to do that.
Avoid it at all costs.
Exactly.
But they have a great date.
There really wasn't too much to say about it.
They seem to be on the same page.
She has made it very clear how she feels about Peter that she sees a future with him.
And he reassured her saying that he doesn't want her to be scared about their relationship.
He gives her a rose.
He says, we're going to Iowa.
And that's a beautiful moment.
You know, they're ready.
He's ready for, ready for Des Moines.
It really is amazing how normal Kelsey is.
now. It's weird.
How did we end up here?
Yeah. How did we end up here?
Like Kelsey, who I thought for sure, for sure would be going home within the first few weeks.
She had so many normal conversations with Han-Anne.
Yeah, they're just friends. They're fine.
Everything's fine.
There's like nothing to really talk about with their date because it was just like, oh, that's a date.
Yeah.
That's like a normal person interacting with another normal person.
And yeah, that is the upset of the season, I think, that Kelsey is just one of the most normal people left.
Yep.
100%.
And that leaves the three-on-one date, which was with Hannah Ann, Kelly, and Victoria F.
Now, I think Kelly was done a little dirty here.
I'm not going to lie.
I feel like they pieced together a lot of sound bites.
We learned about the Franken bites, you know?
I feel like there was a lot of those.
Even just at the beginning, they had her voiceover going over.
You know, we didn't actually see her speak these things.
It was just her voice.
So it feels like they definitely pass.
all together where she was like, I'm an attorney.
Hannah Ann, she's 23.
Victoria F's a hot mess and it just all became one thing
and it made her seem kind of bitchy,
but she's not wrong.
Okay, so this is how I feel about it.
If this is not a Franken bite,
you know.
Still not wrong.
She's not wrong, but to be like,
oh, my job, you know what I mean?
Like, oh, I have a cool, like I have a good job
and you guys don't.
Like, I understand that.
Franken bites scare the shit out of me.
They should.
Do you go on a show and have a conversation?
And then all of a sudden, they're just mix matching your words and your sentences.
They genuinely scare the shit out of me.
I think that's the number one reason I wouldn't go on a show like this because you don't know how they're going to cut you up.
And you have no idea.
She could have said these three things weeks apart from each other.
And they just took them, edited together.
Sounds like one sentence.
That's the risk you run, I suppose.
Imagine, you know, maybe Kelly said, you know, look, I'm an attorney.
I feel like I'm in that place in my life where I'm ready to get, you know, there could have been a whole follow-up to her saying, I'm an attorney, and they just cut it off, and they paired it with everything else.
So, who knows.
I'm an attorney who's ready for marriage, and I got my job straight.
You know, Hannah's young.
She's 23.
Victoria F. She's a hot, you know, saying it like that is just, but when you cut it off.
They made it seem as bitchy as possible.
It is believable that she said that.
recently because Kelly strikes me as the type of person who is at this point in the show just sick and tired of being around girls like Victoria F and Hannah Ann is super young.
So she might as could have gone to her.
Yeah.
It's probably been, you know, six weeks now.
She's like, this is just fucking dragging on me.
Totally.
Yeah, I agree.
So they're in this, they're in this beautiful hacienda.
They are speaking with, you know, of course they just find a nice man to have a conversation with, talk about.
And he then pulls Hannah-Anne first.
Kelly's like, I'll just nap on the couch.
You come get me when you're ready.
And Peter, Peter and Hannah-Anne sit next to each other.
Peter looks at her and says, how are you?
And she immediately starts crying.
Water works.
It was just immediately.
She knows what works.
Well, she is a beautiful crier.
Yeah.
And as soon as she, like going back and watching,
it was just like the perfect amount of not fully.
sobbing, but just enough where her beautiful blue eyes were like, you know, wet with, yeah.
I didn't know there was an art to it.
Oh, a beautiful crier.
Beautiful crier.
Like I would give her that.
Like, she, when she was like, you know what, I've been really struggling this week and
she looks up and she just blinks in her big blue eyes.
Yeah, I almost fell in that.
Beautiful crier.
Things are just happening that I don't see sometimes.
Things I just, they're just like, I don't even know I'm being manipulated when I'm
being manipulated.
That's scary.
That's scarier than Franken bites.
I'm looking at her crew.
I probably felt, I probably watched her crime being like,
Damn, it worked on me.
I was watching and I was like, oh, hey, man, yeah.
Yeah.
It's definitely going to work on Peter.
Well, Peter loves cries.
He loves tears.
Talked about it.
Tear fetish loves it.
So if a girl cries, he's like, oh, that means they really, really like me.
Yep.
Done, you get a rose.
So, yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
He thinks any show of emotion in any direction is like, oh, that's, that means they feel something for me.
That's not necessarily how it should work, but that's how he feels.
Definitely.
So he, he's talking to Hannah Ann.
They're having a nice conversation.
She's talking about that.
She's ready to take her walls down that she's always felt the need to be perfect and perfect in relationships.
Then she pulls out that handy-dandy list of 20 things that she wrote down 20 things that she, all the reasons why she's starting to fall in love with him.
You know, he is just eating it up.
It was a fantastic move from Han-hand.
Talk about painting somebody into a corner.
Like Pete's got to be thinking, if I send this girl home now, the response to me on social
media, I don't know if he thinks like this.
Yeah, yeah.
But it's got to be like, oh, she spent all this time creating this nice list.
And then he's like, no.
It's adorable note of all the reasons why she thinks Peter's great.
20's a lot.
It's a lot.
And none of the other girls have done that.
So I feel like that also helps with Peter being like, wow, Han-Anne really likes me,
you know?
True.
So that worked very well.
But then it cuts to Victoria F, who's already frustrated.
She hasn't talked to him yet.
She's already crying.
They haven't even spoken one word to each other.
She's already crying.
And of course, this is where things, like they tied things up where it made Kelly obviously
look bad.
Like Victoria's crying.
She hasn't even talked to him yet.
And they just play Kelly being like, if you're a week, you're not going to last.
It's like she's the enforcer.
Yeah.
So another instance where they tried to make her look bad.
but normally she would be not wrong about that statement,
but this season, it's like the opposite.
If you're confident and cool and calm collected,
see ya, you're not getting a rose.
No, you're out.
You're out.
So Kelly is talking, she thinks,
she personally thinks she's the only one
who's actually mature enough for a relationship.
You know, that's her opinion.
But she's talking to Peter.
she says that she's having fun
she really likes him, she wants to bring him home to her family
and that is a very
normal statement
to make like before you bring your boyfriend home
right? Because in this, it's such a weird
format the show so it's like in the show
you have to be madly in love before you can bring them home
to meet your family. In real life
you could bring a boyfriend home after a few weeks to be like
oh yeah, this is the guy updating. The word
The word fun, Peter did not enjoy that.
Peter hates the word fun.
He's not, it's a no fun zone around Peter.
Every time Kelly says she's having fun, he's like,
I want you to be having more than fun.
He's like, you better stop having fun.
Red from that 70 show.
I never watched it.
When were we having fun?
Just absolutely does not want Kelly to be having fun.
And she laughed.
She was like, I know you hate when I say that.
And he's like, yeah, I really do.
Just can't stand it.
No, you got to put in the clip.
Fun time is over.
That's the clip.
No, he just, he really, he wants it to be more than fun.
But, and you know what?
I guess that probably is what did her in.
He's not looking for somebody who wants to just have fun,
who's looking to fall in love as time goes on.
He wants it, he wants it now.
Thinking of like Willie Wonka, like, I want it now.
Yeah, right.
That is basically Peter.
And then, you know, Kelly's just talking about how,
whenever he's around Victoria F, there's all this drama,
get rid of the drama, she's like,
give me a rose Pete, chop, chop, you know.
So the whole, she, and it's funny because she's joking around.
She's having fun, but it just didn't, uh, didn't really work out.
But then Peter, this is, this is where I kind of was like, this is getting ridiculous.
Peter and Victoria sit down.
And Peter is like, look, I know we've had a lot of drama in the past.
Um, let's clear it up.
I'm just kind of confused right now.
we are. He said, I just want to hear from you what you make of all that.
And she goes, okay, I don't really know. And if you know, like, if you know, like, that's what
you want to use our time to talk about, it gets so mad. And Peter's like, well, how can we
know? We got to clear this up. Figure it out. And she says, every time, it's like every time
we're together, it's like you're in a mood. And it's extremely frustrating because I don't
know how to move forward if this keeps happening. What? Victoria. Peter asked a very simple question.
I mean, Victoria has the mood the whole time.
She just has this nasty attitude.
She's the moody one.
I mean, Peter should realize that this is never going to work in the real world.
If Victoria F is calling you out for a mood after, I don't know, three dates.
Like, what, they don't, they're not in a relationship right now.
Yeah, Peter's mind's moving in the, like, he's totally messed up.
So he, they, they, she spends it all in him.
This woman is a great manipulator.
She is fantastic at what she does.
And all of a sudden now he's like,
why are you attacking me?
I'm not in a mood that, you know,
there has been reasons for him to doubt the relationship.
She starts to cry.
And basically with the classic,
classic line being like,
she said she doesn't want to get to the end
and lose him so it's better just to never have had him in the first place.
Oh my gosh, Victoria.
She knows what to say.
She's crying.
again.
And then, you know, she's in her interview after, she was like kind of laughing.
And she was like, I don't know what just happened.
I'm playing that conversation back.
I'm mortified of what I said.
You know what you're doing.
Every time.
I wonder if Pete watches it back now, like when he watches that episode last night.
It's like, holy shit.
Like, if he can see like what's happening in that moment.
I hope so.
And he, so he, they're all sitting together.
He grabs the rose and pulls Victoria away.
So the other girls think that Victoria is going home.
He pulls her to the car.
But then he gives her.
her the rose. He's like, I want to continue this.
He said, I don't mind a little crazy.
Like, this is where, this is where
Peter's brain is telling him the wrong
things. I think Peter's brain is saying,
oh, we're having
arguments, we're fighting a little bit.
This is what a normal relationship
is like in the outside world.
Kelly, everything's going
too well, you know, we're just having fun.
This is relaxed. That can't work. That can't be right.
I got to go with the one that I'm fighting with.
And it's just,
It's just crazy.
Insane, insane.
Victoria F was so happy to get that road.
She was shocked.
It's like it worked.
It worked.
Victoria F.
still being around and Kelly going home.
It really just speaks to what this season has been all about.
And what seasons are usually like where like the normal kind of like, yeah, this is fun.
Like I'm having a good time.
Yeah, I'd like to meet.
I'd like to bring you home.
Peter's drawn to crazy.
Like he doesn't like.
He doesn't like just a regular old fun gal.
Like he wants a little bit of crazy in there.
The only reason I'm excited for Victoria F to be around still is because hometowns are going to be amazing with Victoria F.
Something's going to happen.
Something messy for sure.
Yeah.
And that's why I'm all in on it.
Definitely.
Peter gives the last rose to Hannah Ann.
And she like just broke down.
And Hannah Ann just started sobbing.
She was like, this is a lot.
This is really hard.
I actually feel like this whole thing is just hitting Hannah Ann as to like what's happening.
She's like, oh, holy shit.
Coming to me, my family.
She's just the stress of it all
Yeah, that was like a real sob cry
Yeah
Where she was, it just
Every, the whole, you know
magnitude of the moment really
Kelly had to see that and just be like
Get me the fuck out of here
Oh God, like Kelly
Yeah
That was a
Wow
She really let it all out
Really heavy sob
Oh yeah, I didn't remember it being like that
Oh yeah
Well not having the visual
And just hearing the sound
makes it way worse.
But I think it just, it just, she realized in that moment, like, she's probably worried
that she wasn't going to get a rose and then she got it.
And that brings out a whole other host of problems.
Yeah, like, I think she's happy that she got it, but it's just like, whoa.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So Kelly's going home.
Peter said they just had what seemed like a really great friendship, didn't see it more than
that.
What I found so strange, I mean, Kelly also was like the four that her left, like little
babies.
She really went out swinging.
But what was so weird to me was when Peter walked back into the hotel room with Hannah-Anne,
and all the girls were so excited.
It was like, what's going on?
Kelsey jumped into Hannah-Anne's arms almost and then hugged.
And then Kelsey jumped into Peter's arms.
Like, it was almost like Kelsey was like, oh, thank you for picking Anna-Anne.
Like, I don't know.
Yeah, Kelsey and Anna-Anne have really turned it around.
They're the best of friends.
At this point, I'm sure it's just such a weird feeling in this season because the girls
have become friends and they are happy to see each other like go on.
But it was it was kind of uncomfortable to watch.
I was like, why is Kelly?
Like why they're way, way too happy.
She's still got a little crazy in there.
Yeah.
And then, you know, the preview for next week, very, very big show.
Hometowns.
Madison is gearing up to tell Peter that she's saving herself for marriage.
Peter's hitting one-handed jump shots with Madison.
Yep, winner.
And he's already.
fighting with
he's already fighting with
Victoria F.
Yep.
And she's crying
and shit's gonna hit the fan.
Shit's gonna hit the fan.
We got the full
Peter's mom being like
this is what love stories
are made out of.
God has placed her there for you.
I need to know what
Peter's mom is sobbing about
but she cries often.
I think you were,
I think your early prediction
was right that I think
Madison's not going to be able
to handle him sleeping
with other people
and then her mom's gonna have to
say you've got to go after her.
It feels like that's where we're headed, yeah.
I feel confident in that.
Nowadays, we know how easy it is to just sit at home and not leave your house.

So something very important was a conspiracy that is going absolutely wild on the internet.
We have had tons of chicks in the office fans.
DM it to us.
They say, can you please talk about this?
We're dying to know your opinion.
So we're going to talk about it.
There is a huge theory.
Now, if you don't want to know, it's not a spoiler because this is not something that was spoiled.
This is a conspiracy theory.
Now, if you don't want to hear the conspiracy theory in case it's actually the truth, then don't listen.
But like we said, this is not a spoiler.
This is just something going around on the internet.
It's just something that like Bashar fan accounts, I feel like have put together.
And it's just grown rapidly.
It's been posting on social media.
People have been going insane on Instagram and Twitter talking about this.
And basically the gist of it is that Peter fell in love or is in love or is dating.
Who knows with one of the producers of the show?
show. And that's really, that's really it. The evidence is basically that in the past few months,
New Year's that this woman, her name is Julie. I'm going to bring up the thread right now so
that I can read. Yeah. Basically, they're saying that this woman, Julie, who is one of the producers
on the show, is, has been around for so long and has been in certain situations that are like,
oh, maybe they're together. Okay. So I'm going to go slide by slide. It's a picture.
of Peter and her Pete is
dressed in his pilot uniform.
The next one is on New Year's Eve.
They spent New Year's Eve together.
She's posting a picture in the middle of Times Square.
You could see Peter in the background.
And then Hannah Brown commented,
I wrote, this is really cute, Jules.
I approve with a heart and love struck.
So people were like, is Hannah Brown
approving of this relationship?
Because she likes Julie.
By the way, Julie was in the room
when we interviewed Peter.
Yeah.
So I think it was.
be, we'll talk about that.
Then there's a picture of Peter and Julie and both of their families out to dinner on New Year's Eve.
Then there is.
Well, let's stop there.
Is there a relationship between the families that we don't know about?
No, I don't think so.
Like are they...
But people say they spend a lot of time with him and his family at their home per their Instagram stories.
But I think people are really underestimating how much time that these producers spend with the Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
especially when Peter's family has been on the show.
Like there's been a whole date around his family.
His mom is basically a star of this season.
Like, they, her, his family has been a part of the season and been a part of the show.
So it doesn't surprise me at all that this producer who,
whose literal job it is to follow around Peter at all, you know, at all times,
especially when they're filming.
Right.
I just feel like that's, it's just like her doing her job.
The thing about the theory and the reason it's going so.
crazy and people are talking about it is that it's so easy to confirm that they're hanging out
together.
Right, right.
But the flip side of that is what you're saying where he's the bachelor.
Yeah.
He is going to have PR people with him all the time.
Just because you see a PR person with the bachelor all the time, it's just that people are making
that connection, but then you've got to think about he is going to have PR people around
him no matter what.
But people can point to pictures and be like, oh, look, they're together again.
But the flip side is, of course they're going to be with him.
Right, because they have to be.
Yes.
It's their job to be.
Yeah.
One of the things they pointed out, which this could mean literally anything not having to do with this theory, but apparently Chris Harrison said, for 18 years, honestly, I've been pulling everybody's leg.
This time, I mean it. Peter's season is the most dramatic ever.
I think Peter's thing will be steeped in emotion in real life drama.
It's not something quite as superficial as, say, the windmill or the jumping of the fence.
There's just something as dramatic, but it's real life-based, real heart-based.
So this is what we go back to our theory about Madison.
Right.
I feel like that could still just be in.
Meaning the same thing.
Real life base.
Peter sleeps with somebody else.
Madison's not okay with that.
She leaves.
He goes after something of that sort.
I do love the theory.
And that would still make it kind of like one of the most dramatic seasons of all time,
if not the most dramatic.
It's been so dramatic already and to have that be the ending would be insane.
Yes, it would be.
Just because of how dramatic it has been like.
Like we don't need to mix him.
We don't need to mix him falling in love with the producer.
or to make this the most dramatic season.
We didn't breathe at all this season.
I feel like that's why it's actually gone by so fast
is because we've just been focused on the drama the entire time.
I don't believe this theory, but I do love it because imagine, like imagine Peter,
we need somebody to do this in the future.
They just fall in love with somebody behind the scenes and they say,
fuck it.
We want to date them.
Oh, I mean, it's definitely on their radar now where it's like,
oh, this is something that people are super interested in.
maybe we can turn it into something in the future.
I also don't believe it.
I understand why there's so much talk and speculation about it.
But like I said, it's just so easy to confirm about, he's always going to be with PR people.
And Chris Harrison saying it's really going to be the most dramatic season this season.
That's just like if we're now using that as evidence that he is dating a producer, then it's just like that's, he always said that.
I know he's saying that he didn't, he always says it.
But I still think that means you can't really put it into evidence as like.
Like he's dating a producer.
Right.
And Robert Mills said that he can neither confirm nor deny the rumor.
But he's saying that because he's smart and he knows that people would love that.
And then he said, you know, if we did that, we could never top that.
So like, I think that they're just playing into it because they know how crazy it is.
They want people tune into the finale.
Yeah.
And for a throwback for those who have been watching The Bachelor for a very long time,
there was a season.
I had to Google it because I forgot,
but I do remember this moment.
I couldn't remember whose season it was on,
where a female contestant on The Bachelor
was accused of hooking up with a producer
and was sent home, like mid-season.
It was a pretty obviously big moment
that everybody talked about.
And like Chris Harrison had this conversation with her.
It's an all-time Chris Harrison video.
It was on Jake's, I think Jake's season.
maybe.
I got to see which season it was.
But her name was Rosalind.
And Chris Harrison just totally,
totally, she got kicked off the show.
Yeah.
And I forget which,
I forget which season it was.
Let's see, Roslyn,
which season she was on.
She was on, do, do, do.
Oh, no, it might have been Ben.
Oh, no.
As cameras remember Jake,
it was Jake season.
Okay.
So that was pretty insane.
And it was just like, you know, she denied it the whole thing.
But that that's kind of like, oh, contestant hooked up with a producer has happened or the storyline has happened on the show before.
It's never been like The Bachelor or The Bachelorette who have done it.
But it.
Contestine just wild and out and going to hook up with a producer.
Yeah.
It cracks me out.
Yeah.
It is pretty funny.
And then I don't know.
I just like you said with what.
with what Mill said about it
and then Trent you sent us
this tweet too
that was actually so funny from
Reality Steve
Oh my God that was my favorite part of the whole thing
So I don't follow reality Steve
because I'm worried about
I just don't want to spoil it
I'm a purist in that way
where I don't want anything spoiled for me
I follow him but I haven't muted
Yeah and I understand his place
in the world but like I just don't
I can't have it spoiled for me
but he was furious
about this theory
So he
So he tweeted, gonna make this as simple as possible for everyone since it's all I get asked now.
It's garbage.
There's absolutely nothing to this.
It makes zero sense and people are desperately grasping at straws because the ending isn't out yet.
Hope that clears things up.
And then a woman replied to him saying, are you sure?
Seems plausible.
He said, it's actually not remotely plausible if you really critically think about it.
He hates this one.
He hates it.
He can't believe that this is a theory.
He's disgusting.
It's that response to that moment.
He's like, well, actually, if you think about it logically for like two seconds, it's
actually not going to be possible.
But I think when he spoke to something that I think is true that we don't have an answer.
Like, I don't know if anybody has an answer out there.
And that's why people are, they're looking anywhere and everywhere that they can.
That's why you could just make something up and people will be like, oh, because we actually
have no idea.
So it's going to cause people to latch on to the smallest little thing and be like, I bet this
is it.
And it's going to go wild.
That's what he said is true.
But I don't think this particular.
particular theory of show.
Right.
Like somebody could make something up about him hanging out with a celebrity or a past, a past
girl on the show or something.
Yeah.
And everyone would be like, maybe, maybe, because we just have no clue.
But the PR one is easy because you do see the girl with him all the time.
And the producer, so she is a producer.
Oh, she's a producer.
Yeah.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I've been saying PR person.
No, well, because it was weird because she was, I think.
I think it was her.
It was her.
We have looked at, we have, I've looked at her Instagram.
there was a woman who was in the room with us when we interviewed
that looked exactly like her yeah exactly
I mean I'm I can't say with what with 100% positive
yeah the one that looked at Trent and was like did you pull a luggage
like I'm pretty sure that I was her because what like we said
she's a producer on the show that's why I thought it was PR
so she probably saw the episode and was like
or I mean she's a producer she was there the whole time
she's probably in the in the control room when this was going down boy
yeah that's probably true because there
they say that it's also her in the scene
where Pete is on his back
in the bed in the finale that they keep showing
and there's like a producer behind him with long hair
and her face is blurred out
and they're like that's her
that's you know and they're like
this rumor has it that she's his confidon
or whatever I'm like they could just be really good friends
I mean he needs somebody to talk to
like I'm pretty sure it's natural that
the bachelor or bachelor
bachelor's become very close with the producers
I feel like that happens
It's every season.
I bet every season it's like a family.
I bet every season they're like, oh, we keep in touch.
Who else do they have to talk to?
They can't talk to the outside world.
They have to talk to somebody.
They're not with the contestants.
They're going to go crazy.
They're isolated a little bit and they've got the producers to talk to.
Producers have the outside world, right?
They know what's going on.
Right.
So I think we can, all of us as a group, come to the agreement that this is probably not real.
I don't think that it is.
I'm going to lock in.
Lock in.
Fake, fake story.
I'm going to lock in fake, but I won't be mad if it's real.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we're living in a world where it's just like, it just could be true.
You don't believe it right now, but if it does come true, bravo.
I'll be like, well, look, she was hanging with them all the time.
It's pretty obvious.
Oh, yeah, we all saw it.
Let me work it.
I put my thing down, flipping and reverse it.

We are here with a very special guest, Alison Stoner.
We've been fans of you for a very long time.
Thank you.
We have.
As you all know, she's an amazing dancer.
Thanks.
Singer, actor, model.
You do it all.
You do it all.
Wow, thanks y'all.
And now podcast hosts.
Yes.
Welcome to the world.
Or tripleting.
How do you feel about jumping into the podcast game?
Oh, I am enjoying it so much because I finally get to have the long-form conversations.
Because, you know, everything gets consolidated to that perfect sound bite.
Right.
When you're on red carpets or doing, for example,
Ellen DeGeneres and you're like, I have 30 seconds to pitch my entire life to you.
Hope you buy my movie.
Yep, yep.
And sign up for my newsletter online.
So it's been really enjoyable.
And I designed it around bringing experts from across sectors to explain what they do.
And so it's called simplicity.
And we simplify the complexities of life.
So I feel like I'm getting that college education that I never, never had.
So it's wonderful.
I need to listen then because I need a college.
Yes, please do.
So we read the description of your podcast, and my mind just went,
and I was just like mind-blown because the way, you described it way simpler,
but it says the complexities of life through a stimulating, provocative, and fun narrative journey
with the world's most supremely intriguing, refreshingly forthright artists, scholars, scientists,
entrepreneurs, experts, and humans.
I was like, she's going to have to explain this to me.
Oh, yes.
Yeah.
So we've had a NASA rocket scientist.
We've had someone explaining the ins and outs of higher education and the flaws in the system.
We've had environmentalists, technologists.
And even also like conscious uncoupling, the author of the bestselling book came on and is helping you go through
breakups in a new way, more refined approach.
So yeah, I just want to be able to have people feel more equipped to handle life.
So at the end of each episode, we also turned the best.
takeaways into affirmations that people can use to apply to whatever their own circumstances.
So you don't need to understand spaghettification from, you know, Neil deGrasse Tyson,
but you can't apply that to like, hmm, if this breakup feels like I'm being spaghettified.
I'll flip this around and, you know, approach it in a new way.
Right. It is, it's very, it's very interesting because like you said, it does take these
kind of big ideas and thoughts that maybe you don't understand or haven't heard enough about,
but you break it down in a way that is easier to understand, which is great.
You should do an episode on taxes.
Oh.
Just how to do taxes.
I know.
I did have a finance expert come on.
And it's something that I feel like we just don't learn basic social skills, life skills,
financial literacy.
So, yeah, it's a lot of filling in gaps.
And then also just exposing people to the amazing things that are happening on the planet.
Because some people do incredible work.
And it's very impact-oriented.
I'm always interested in seeing people who are not only obsessed with their own success and trajectory,
but they're looking at what kind of footprint they're leaving for the planet, for the next generations.
So, yeah, there are so many fascinating humans.
It's worth listening to just to hear what some of these people do on a daily basis.
What made you kind of want to go into this area?
Like what did you think I wanted to learn or I want to explain something?
I was trying to be on your level.
Although I don't know if I can keep up with another episode every day.
Yeah, it's a lot.
But no, it was just such an interesting thing to tackle kind of these huge topics where like I'm curious as to why you decided that's what you wanted your podcast.
Well, you nailed it.
The word curiosity has sort of been my.
spine. It's the
contemplation and
reflection have been
really integral parts of my own development
growing up because I think being in
entertainment, there was so much chaos
around me and there was a lot to process
externally and internally.
And so I spent a lot of time alone
because also you think about coming together
on sets, you spend three months together,
you're extremely vulnerable and then you part ways.
And so I kind of
had to become my own ally. And my
own best friend because I was, you know, lonely and isolated going into this audition room,
please like me. Oh, you rejected me. Okay, I got to like bolster my confidence again, go out there
and get after it. And so I think all of these different elements of my life came together in this
kind of insatiable desire to learn as much as I can so that I feel like I can navigate all of the
challenges that are in front of me. And it's also just a part of myself that I never shared with the
world. It's always been here, but when you have a resume that's characterized by Disney and by,
you know, these behemoth kind of franchises, you get pigeonholed and, you know, the image is
stifled. And so now I'm like, you know, I'm free. Cut out that contract. Yeah, yeah, totally.
What has been your favorite episode so far? Oh, wow. Okay. Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
They are so different.
Who kind of shocked you the most, maybe?
So, okay, the first episode I ever recorded, I had a Senegalese technologist who's teaching
young women and girls how to code across the continent of Africa.
Now, she herself was sex trafficked as a child, taught herself how to read and write around
14 years old, I believe, and has now gone on to learn, I think, like seven plus languages,
including computer languages.
And she's now considered a global leader in what.
what she's doing for the world and for the continent of Africa.
But I spoke to her not just about how coding works.
I focused the episode on power because she's literally experienced complete powerlessness being taken advantage of in a very,
oh, just such a violent and it's a violation of her human rights and dignity.
And now to be empowering other people.
So to listen to her equate information to freedom,
it just it hits in a much deeper way.
So that was a really meaningful episode for me.
We also brought in Miss Funk, who's like one of the OG hip hop heads.
And she is helping break down like how social media and all the dance videos and viral videos are sort of undercutting the origins of hip hop and the values and the sociopolitical economic influences behind hip hop.
And yeah, it's just it's there's so much to learn.
You're really covering it all because those two things are.
so different, but both equally as important to learn about it.
And I think that's the point for me is every time I encounter something that confuses me or
seems intriguing, I know now I can make a podcast episode about it.
And I can bring someone in and they can simplify it.
And by the end, I at least feel like, okay, if I were to walk into a room with, you know,
room full of people in this sector, I could have a casual conversation.
You know, I'm like trying to, I'm the duolingo of podcasts.
just trying to know a little bit about everything.
Right, you know.
And your episodes come out every Monday?
Yes.
And then we post them as well on YouTube on Saturdays.
Awesome.
So I think, obviously, Ria and I have followed your career for a long time because we are that, we're at that age, right?
Yeah.
Like, I'm 25, she's 22.
Like, we consumed all of the Disney, everything.
Step up.
I won't say, like I won't embarrass you too much, but we spent our last Friday night two weeks ago watching Camp Rock and Camp Rock too because we were just in that kind of mood.
But I think there might be some people who don't know where your career started or maybe they just know the Missy Elliott video or whatever it is.
So kind of how did you get into the entertainment business?
Oh, it was a dark, dark day.
You were very little.
So I'm originally from Ohio, and around age three, I started dancing, just recreationally.
I don't think I was thinking about a career.
And then around six, I went to a convention.
And it really was by fluke.
It's one of those scam conventions.
They make promises and whatever.
And this one happened to be legitimate enough that they had connections to agents and managers in L.A.
I performed well enough to win a few awards there.
And then tried it out in L.A. and had what I call beginner's luck because there are so many talented charismatic kids. They're outgoing. They're, you know, fresh and cute and precocious. And sometimes it clicks and sometimes it doesn't. I was fortunate enough that it clicked early. And I just never, I never stopped. And I mean that both gratefully and also a little bit like eventually I reached 18 years old and thought, I,
have not had a childhood at all.
So there are both, you know, light and shadow sides to the experience.
But I started working with Disney.
I think I've done like 12 or 13 series for them, Sweet Life.
That's a Raven, Camp Rock.
I haven't rattled this list in a while.
Wikipedia can help.
And then family entertainment is so cheaper by the dozen and the step-up movies.
And then, of course, I had this other side hustle dancing with rappers.
Yeah.
So Missy Elliott and Will Smith, outcasts, you know, you'll find the embarrassing videos.
YouTube came after that generation, but they found, yeah.
They're not embarrassing, though, because, like, you are extremely talented.
Oh, thank you.
You know what I mean?
Like, even when, I mean, you were in Missy Elliott's Workit's Workit video.
That was where, you know, then you were on Ellen right after that.
Then we watched.
I feel like we were constantly seeing you dancing, whatever role you were in.
Yes.
So fun story, actually.
On the set of Cheaper by the Dozen, I believe one of the reasons I booked the role of Sarah Baker is because of the attitude I showcased in the Missy video.
And because I originally auditioned for three other of the dozen before they were like, just read for this role.
Isn't that great, though, that there were so many options.
Yeah, right.
But while on set, halfway through the shoot, the director was like, okay, we're just going to shoot this quick insert.
Hey, Allison, can you jump in the middle of the hallway and we're just going to set you up here on this mark?
Go ahead and dance for about 20 to 30 seconds.
I looked at Sean and was like, my character is an athlete who would probably make fun of dancers because it would seem too prissy.
Tom boy skateboarder.
Yeah, like a different kind of athlete.
What are you trying to accomplish?
Now, you know, that I've grown up and I understand marketing.
I'm like, oh, okay, they were, you know, playing to my strengths.
But it was moments like that that I was like, you know, the video truly had such an impact that people did try to thread it in.
Because I would book a role as a music producer, for example, in Camp Rock, and they'd be like, maybe, but maybe Caitlin does like to dance.
Just a little bit.
You know, I'm like, chill them out.
Let a girl be someone else.
Yeah, yeah.
That is so funny.
But I mean, it is, it's hard because I think dancing especially is one of those things where if you can't dance and you know somebody who can dance, you're like, dance for me.
You want to see that.
You want to learn.
I think dance should be a gen ed class in school just because.
That would be great.
I wish I did that because I can't dance.
And if I was younger and maybe had a little bit more help, maybe you could have paid out in the long run.
Right.
I watch on YouTube dance workout videos so that I'm like kind of working out kind of dancing at the same time.
I feel like that's just way more fun than actually working out.
I would agree.
I'm actually designing a few courses centered around the concept of mindful movement.
So you don't have to be a professional dancer or have crazy fitness experience.
But it will allow you to find the fun in sort of discovering your language of movement being expressive while also, of course, being active.
but I think people, they look at dance and it's now become so rigid.
The image is so narrow.
Like if you're not a prima ballerina, then you're embarrassed that your groove looks a little funky.
But to me, I just think everyone speaks a different language of movement.
That's all this.
So you both are dancers.
Well, I love to hear that.
I don't know if you dabble in TikTok or if you've seen TikTok.
I've seen it.
But you would have a bomb TikTok account.
And I know that Ria would copy all of your dancing.
moves because I try to do TikTok dances. She does TikTok dances. I'm not a dancer. I just do them
because I like dancing. See, but I, so I just came, because it's Fashion Week, right? So I just
came from some presentation, and there was a TikTok rep, and I didn't know they were a TikTok
rep until they were like, oh, have you heard? Would you like to join? And I was like, no.
I'm good. Thanks. And they're like, well, you could, here's my card just in case. And I was like,
oh, that was not the right. Yes, and is the lesson in life.
especially in professional settings.
Always just say, yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And we will be in touch.
Yes.
I would love to TikTok.
Yeah.
That is so funny.
Maybe we inspired you a little bit.
Are you TikTokers?
I am not, but she, I'm a technocrat.
She's a TikToker.
What do you do?
Do you want to rate my last video?
Okay.
They just posted this one.
It's five stars.
Yeah.
Well, no, no.
On a serious note, like, give me, I'm not a dancer.
Watch it and let me know.
Oh, you want to go in.
Yeah, what you think I.
Well, she is trying to.
He's trying to inform.
I'm in form.
Yeah, I'm trying to improve.
Improve.
Improve.
Yeah.
Okay, wait.
Okay.
Improve the form.
Yeah, I have to start from the beginning.
Yeah.
Strong, strong choice.
Ooh.
Okay.
Roll it.
Oh, fast.
Hey.
Oh.
Not the worst.
Hips.
Yes.
It's all quick.
I only have one note.
What's the note?
Trust yourself enough to look up and not down at the floor.
That is a great note.
That's a great note.
Because,
while I enjoy watching your body moving in all of those wonderful ways, I want to connect with
the human.
Oh, the smile.
That's great.
Wow.
Now I'm actually going to remember that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If I can see you thinking, then it just creates this buffer between us.
And I'm just trying to really understand who you are.
Wow.
Thank you for the master class.
Yeah.
That was all.
That was great.
All right.
I'll be here for.
Yeah.
We've got you for 10 more minutes.
Right.
So you talked about, obviously, there was all of these.
crazy, exciting experiences for your childhood and then there were the dark days. But I see on your
Instagram and just being with you in person, you are such a positive, inspiring person. And I just want to
know how you got to that place. Through the trenches. Through the muck and mire. I crawled my way out.
I think that's precisely it. It was the level of intensity and also the exposure to so many people
who were struggling, right, who seemingly had everything, but of course, were for lack of a better
term, you know, the toddler to train wreck that you see with child stars. And I had enough
examples on both sides that I knew the course of self-care and mental health and education
was going to, you know, ultimately lead to a better result. And it hasn't been without
struggling. You know, I think
what I explained to people is that in many ways
I chose very societally acceptable
vices, whereas some of my peers
maybe turned to drugs and drinking
and partying and were
frowned upon by the general
public, I went for achievement
and being, you know, a goody two shoes.
So to the naked eye, maybe
I seemed like I had it altogether, but
truly I was just as
perfectionistic and, you know, compensating
for feeling empty inside. I just
chose different habits.
So I think through this all, in order for me to feel like, you know, the past is not something
just to regret or to try and seek pity from, you know, other people, trying to explain to someone
what a child start goes through if you haven't been through it.
It's sort of like dangling privilege and glamour in front of someone and saying, but don't you
see how painful it is?
And it's like, no, you don't.
No.
We see glitz and we see.
opportunity, we see money, we see all of these wonderful things. And that is a potential part of it,
not always, but a potential part of it. But for me, I want to be able to turn pain into something
proactive. It has to become something beautiful, you know, for my own sanity, but also because
I do have a platform. I didn't necessarily ask for it. I still struggle with the responsibility
that's bestowed upon people who have a microphone in front of them,
who might not be equipped at all to use it wisely.
But I try to do my best.
And getting constant feedback,
whether that's positive or negative criticism,
ends up revealing more to me about how I am perceived by the world,
what the effects are of what I'm saying and how I'm expressing myself.
And I just try to continually refine and become the best version of myself
so that other people can honestly get the roadmap and hopefully not have to go through, you know,
some of the things that I did and do and will.
Right.
You know.
Definitely.
I mean, you said that obviously there's examples on both sides of the road of how a career can go,
or especially when you're a child star.
And you worked with so many amazing actors and actresses when you were younger.
Was there anybody that really kind of had a big impact on you?
Yeah, two people always come to mind.
Bonnie Hunt, who played my mom and cheaper by the dozen, really took me in as one of her own.
And that level of vulnerable connection on set, I just, I had that maternal presence.
And then also Missy.
To this day, you know, I just did the VMAs with her however many months ago.
Time flies.
And she's still just as grounded, just as respectful to her team.
She has the same people she worked with from years ago.
It's just a testament to her character.
And so I really was fortunate to have the grates, the inside and out grates, in front of me.
And I think I just learned by watching.
And of course, when you're on set with people, you can feel the energy.
When someone comes on set and they don't want to be there.
And for example, many times, you know, I've played to a tennis ball instead of the other person because they just leave and don't want to do their part of the scene.
The coverage is on me and I'm like kissing a tennis ball.
I'm like, hopefully you're not seeing the neon green.
Those aren't his lips.
Yeah.
That's actually happened.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I've also, yes, I've worked with people who have told me they don't want to kiss me because I don't look like they're idealized.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's not the job.
Oh, yeah.
Right.
That is crazy.
That is not the job.
Yeah.
That just made me very angry.
We were supposed to be pretending to be other people.
I know while I'm trying not to feel insecure already.
Just trying to be intimate with someone in front of a crew of 100 people.
Yeah, but it's stuff like that.
And you just learn to figure your way through it.
But I really have had a lot of wonderful people.
And I'll say, I hope you have some fond memories from these days.
I do.
And to be fully transparent, I think it's also because I started therapy really young and
volunteered myself.
It wasn't like I acted out and someone said she needs help.
It was like preventative measure, do this.
now. And in, again, many ways, my therapist is another mother figure who was completely disinterested
in benefiting from my fame and fortune. So instead of having a team where maybe they're still
making money off of you or a family kind of pushing you one way, you know, she was like,
I could care, I could not care less if you stopped tomorrow. I really want to know, like,
how are you coping? Right. And I think that's, you know, the thing with their
why they're so important is because they're the outside opinion that I have nothing to do what's going on in your actual life.
They're really just trying to help you.
Yes.
Hopefully, if you find the right match, therapeutic alliance is important.
I'm now studying how to counsel the culturally diverse is the curriculum because I'm wanting to be more informed having a platform and knowing I have people from all over the place with completely different backgrounds.
Right.
Observing my content.
How can I make sure that this is the most inclusive?
and just, you know, includes a wide variety of perspectives and intel so that I'm not just speaking to one.
I mean, I noticed that just on your Instagram, you know, you have in your captions, like, if you're, if it's a video of yourself and you're speaking, like, you make sure you put in writing everything that's going on for those people who might not be able to hear it.
Yeah.
Everyone listening, if you have an Instagram where you use social media, highly encourage you to start using accessibility text.
Just because people are visually impaired or they're using.
the text to audio apps to hear what's going on. It just makes a platform, you know, more inclusive.
Definitely. Definitely. Wow. Just very inspiring and positive. So everybody can check out
