Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners, you can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Ria and Fran, giving you that Friday energy on a Thursday. As always, this podcast is brought to you by Macy's, our favorite place to shop right now. You guys know it. We've been talking about Macy's all along, and we're going to keep talking about Macy's because you guys need to get on there. to buy cute clothes, clothes you're just going to lounge in, any beauty products, even home cooking products as well. And you can find everything that we're shopping on macy's.com slash chicks in the office. And even more exciting news guys coming June 1st,
Starting point is 00:00:59 we have something big going on with Macy's. You guys are going to be pumped. Finally, a code will be coming. That's all I'll say. Right, Fran? Yes, it is very exciting. I just put in a new order. I'm super pumped to get some new stuff. I got, you know, now it's summer. It's obviously getting warmer. So summer clothes, bathing suits, beach stuff. On top of that, I got some new wine glasses. What also was great is Macy's has all of the cravings by Chrissy Teigen stuff, which, you know, support my girl. I love Chrissy. And they have all, like, her stuff is so cute. So I got a couple of cravings, things. Like I said, the new wine glasses.
Starting point is 00:01:43 And they also have all our favorite beauty products. Tart, eight cosmetics, all the stuff that I use, like, every day. I just refueled, re-re-re-re-re-hued, re-upped. Refueled. Replenished. That was the word I was looking for. Just replenished my stock of cosmetic products. And they have a ton of great skin care stuff as well.
Starting point is 00:02:08 And all of our favorites are on. Macy's.com slash chicks in the office. Go there now, go shop. Now it's time to get into some serious business, guys. You know, we've had to address some things that people want us to address. And yes, the rumors are true. I fucking hate you, Fran.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I hate you. I hate your guts. I want nothing to do with you anymore. I couldn't even say that with a straight face. I couldn't even make it down. I couldn't even. As soon as you said, I just started laughing. Yeah, there was no way I could follow through with that.
Starting point is 00:02:42 I wanted to get all angry and serious, but I just couldn't allow myself. But, yeah, there's a lot of drama going on, a lot of entertainment going on with the Collar Daddy. The podcast world. The podcast world. We're very excited about it because we are part of the podcast world. We love to see that this podcast is just taking over pop culture. Yeah. People keep jamming us.
Starting point is 00:03:06 This podcast is literally the biggest, like one of the biggest pop culture stories going on right now. I mean, an article was written in the New York Times about this. Like, it's, it's no joke at this point. Right. It's insane. But people want to know how we feel about the drama because we obviously work at Barstool. We both been at Barstool for over three years now. So we kind of know the ins and outs. And people have asked us, like, ever since Alex and Sophia have worked at Barstall, like, oh, why don't you guys interact with Caller Daddy? Like, what's going on there? And we have nothing against Alex and Sophia. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:41 It was just what everyone's been saying. They don't, they didn't really want to be involved in, like, the Barstall office, hanging out with people, like doing things with other shows. Like, most people at Barstall do that, but they were just focused on Caller Daddy, which I think, you know, is fine for them. Like, call her daddy's huge. So it made sense that they were like, this is so big. Why do we want to do anything else?
Starting point is 00:04:04 But on standing on the other side of it, you're just like, oh, man, like we could be friends, but you guys don't want to hang out with us. And it's tough because, like you said, they grew something so huge and they created an empire and it's like they, they, it's so even, it's hard to even describe what they created because it was so massive. But like you said, we're like kind of on the other side of it because yes, we are a bar-sou podcast, but we feel like Barstow employees. We do other stuff. We interact with other people. We collaborate with other people. And we have that love for that, which, you know, is just not what they did, which is so fine. Like, they could do literally whatever they want.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Like, if you listen to Dave talk about this, he made it very clear, like, they were doing well enough that they basically made their own rules, which is so fair. And obviously, it's, it's anything, it's the only thing everyone can talk about right now. It's become that huge. The, the entertainment factor is high. Right. But that's, that being said about like, you know, it's, it's completely fine because they were so big. I do think that they would have enjoyed it more than they, than I think they thought they would. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, I don't think they fully understand what like working at barsoil was all about because i think if they did actually hang out with everyone and they did participate more they would have loved it because yeah nobody who comes
Starting point is 00:05:41 and works there is like i hate this everyone ends up loving it nobody ever wants to leave so i think that they just like got in their own heads about it and even other shows have talked about this even they would come in the office and they would like put their hoods up and run into the room meanwhile nobody yeah nobody wanted them to do that everyone always wanted them to interact. And like you said, Dave has talked about it. Like, he only wants people to be doing more, doing whatever they want. So it was frustrating to like when they stop doing the shows and people would be like, do you guys know what's going on with Call or Daddy? And we'd get DMs and people would be like, can't believe Barstow is holding Caller Daddy back. When we know that that is never the case at
Starting point is 00:06:25 Barstool, because they only want you to work more and do whatever you want. They're like, you have an idea, please put it out there, do it. So it was kind of crazy. And also, like, comparing yourself to Kesha, please don't do that. Because not great, not great. People really assume the worst. And I think, and I think that's one of the biggest parts where they went wrong. Like, it's not necessarily as much the negotiations and whatnot. It's just like, in order to have a a successful podcast and create that love like that environment with your fans you have to be transparent you you just have to and i think that the daddy gang had that so much but then when they realized that those last few episodes um weren't really the case and for them to say like we can't talk
Starting point is 00:07:23 about it we can't talk about it when they probably could have at bare like the bare minimum they could have said, you know, look, we're trying to secure the bag and we have like, we signed a long-term deal. We're trying to secure the bag right now. We're still on our contracts, but like, what's just the best? And every single person who listens to that show would have been like, hell yeah, ladies, get your money. Like that's, you know what? Right. I think if they, no one would have said like, oh, yeah, what? Like, you're trying to get paid more. Like, because everybody understood when you see the breakdown, they were making so much money and they deserve to be made like they deserved the money that they were making um absolutely and then things got i just think things got complicated because when you uh
Starting point is 00:08:14 when their lawyers i think initially highballed dave and erika which is so fair like that's kind of what you do in a negotiation in a negotiation you highball and then hope that they come down and you still get a majority of of what you want um Like with that situation and then Dave and Erica kind of being like absolutely not and then working its way down to this deal that Dave had offered them all make sense for something to take. Like the 500K base, six months off your contract, and you can walk away with the IP at the end of the time,
Starting point is 00:08:55 at the end of the year. Is an unbelievable deal you're not going to find a deal. you're not going to find a deal like that from any kind of media company ever. Right, Fran. And like you said, unbelievable deal. Anybody should have taken that because if you think about that in your head, it's a 500K base plus all the bonuses, plus the bonuses on the merch,
Starting point is 00:09:15 plus you're going to get the IP. They would have made millions at the end of the year. So it's really insane to think about how, you know, Sophia not taking the deal. deal because of this man who, in my opinion, if I would have to guess what's going on, is manipulating the situation. Yeah. So, yeah, I don't know. I think that Alex should come back. I think she should do the podcast. And I think if Sophia was smart about the situation, her and Alex would somehow hash it out, and then they would get over it and they would realize,
Starting point is 00:09:55 listen, see how big this podcast is? We need to drop the drama and get back together and do what we do best. We need to figure this out. There's too much fighting going on with the co-host more than anything else at this point. These two need to be locked in a room. Suitman needs to be kicked to the curb. I don't know if he, I don't know if he's still involved still or not or what that situation is, but they need to get together somehow talk this out, work it out. Because even the video Sophia put out, which was bizarre and sad, like all at the same time, because it just feels like there's a lot that she's not telling us. And I don't know if Alex is going to say something or not,
Starting point is 00:10:42 but it's tough now. It's just, I think that, I think they were both wrong. I think they both did things wrong. Number one being going behind the contract that they had at Borosul because you signed a contract. Like contracts don't exist for no reason. They're contracts for a reason. You signed something. And they were, you know, obviously they should be making a ton of money.
Starting point is 00:11:07 But the first year number, you know, that's a pretty solid amount of money for your first year where you didn't know where this podcast was going to go. So I don't know. I think that... I think they were both wrong, but I think that people seem to be siding with Alex more, which I understand because it seems like if Suitman wasn't in the situation at all, maybe this would have never happened. But I don't agree with people like actually going out of their way to be very mean to Sophia
Starting point is 00:11:42 because we never agree with that. Like, that's just bad for somebody's mental health. I mean, you could not follow her and you could be like, yeah, I don't want to follow her anymore. I don't trust her. But to, like, actually be extremely mean. Yeah. Don't do that. And also, like you said, there could be a, like, there's a whole different, this snowballed.
Starting point is 00:12:00 It's unbelievable how it started, like, kind of slow. And then things just exploded. And as the snowball went down now, it's just ginormous. We don't know the details of Sophia and this dude's relationship. Like he could have really, like you said, manipulated her, got like just being a bad influence. It seems like maybe, I don't know for sure, but maybe this guy has some very negative feelings towards Barstool and wanted to screw over Barstool in general regardless of what that meant for Sophia. Yeah, I just think it's a bad situation all around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I think there was a lot of. lack of morals. I think that, you know, I think the ironic part about the whole thing is people were shocked by this. Yeah. But Alex and Sophia literally made a podcast about how to lie and manipulate and cheat on people. And I'm not saying like, I mean, that's entertaining for people. People love listening to that. It's funny for them. You cannot be shocked that two hosts teaching you how to lie, manipulate and cheat, we're doing that in their own lives? Or else, why would they, why would they talk about it a little bit? Which, like I said, funny stuff. But in real life, not that funny because you guys, right, right. Because now there's all the memes and it's just like, I can't believe that
Starting point is 00:13:34 of all the times that they have said to, you know, don't, what talked about, you know, being in control of men, this man has controlled this situation. Um, and it got, it. It's, just like I said, it got super, super messy. And honestly, I really think, like, the biggest part of it was the lack of transparency and lying to their listeners. Like, they, I think that they also had that relationship where they were like, we're always going to tell you guys the truth. We're going to tell you our real lives, detail by detail, not hold back.
Starting point is 00:14:09 and then when it got to this situation and they left this trail and there was just nothing at the end of it or it's insane it's insane it's insane they thought that like the end of the trail they were doing that that whole time
Starting point is 00:14:25 with the thoughts that they would be able to announce that they were taking their show somewhere else until they realized after speaking with Dave like oh shit we can't do that I'm unsure. And like Dave said, the legal matters of it are a whole different thing because they had signed a contract
Starting point is 00:14:46 and legally binding. Like if they decided that they were going to take the show and do it somewhere else, like Dave said, word for a word, we're going to sue the fuck out of you. Like, you just... You can't do that. You just can't do that, like you said. And I hope that a couple of things, actually, I hope that the people who thought that barstool was like the bad guys and, oh, big mean barstool realize that like as much as people want to paint them out to be assholes, they're really not. Like, they really are generous to the people that work for them. They tell you, you can do whatever you want as long as you're making content, make it funny, put it out there, just work.
Starting point is 00:15:36 and we will compensate you for such. Just do your job. All they want people to do is do their job that they're hired for. So I hope people take that out of this whole thing. I hope that Alex and Sophia realized that if they were to just maybe come together, come back from this, that they could be bigger than ever because now they have this drama behind them and now people will follow because they'll be like, oh shit, are they going to break up again? now they have like a reality show situation.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Right. I mean, the first show of them, they do come back and the first show of them being back together is a smash hit. Like that's a must listen. It's like Kardashian. And I think that, like I find it crazy that people are like, because obviously Sophia, Sophia fucked up big time, but people are like, I'm going to be the new host,
Starting point is 00:16:27 I'm going to be the new host, I'm going to be the new host. Like, I don't think you can just step in and be the new host. Like, I think that these... Those two have a huge show. And, like, I don't know. Yeah, it's just... And maybe they'll learn to be a little more, you know, actually transparent with their fans this time around.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Like, not say they're telling you the truth and then lie to you. Like, they'll actually tell you the truth. Because I'm sure the truth is probably more interesting than the lies. Yeah, it totally is. And that's, you could tell from Dave telling the story. Like, that was... instantly shocked people. So here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:17:08 You got to, if they do come back, and I hope they do, because people really love them together and they made a great show and it would be sad if it all ended like this, especially from a friendship standpoint. Like, they lived together,
Starting point is 00:17:21 their best friends, if it all came crumbling down because of this, that's really fucking sad. So sad, you can't put that behind you. If we did that friend, I would be,
Starting point is 00:17:31 I would be disgusting. with us. We would never do that, but I'm just saying. No, I know. Like I said, the whole thing is just very sad. So, hopefully they do come back. Hopefully they lay it all out on the table. Just word vomit the truth at this point is, I really think, the best plan of action. 50-50, just do it. Like, you got to go 50-50. And like you said, I personally, and I think I speak for both of us, Ria, like, we have never had a problem where we thought, like, we needed to talk about our contract or salary or whatever, where we couldn't go to Dave and Erica and they would hear us out and are extremely accommodating.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Exactly. That's exactly my point with, like, if you would have just came to the office and gotten to no bar stool and have gotten to talk to everybody, you would have realized that Dave and Erica are super chill if you have something to talk about. Like, I think he just went about the negotiation the wrong way. They want more money, which Dave said, Alex went to him before for a raise. So why didn't you feel comfortable going for the raise the second or third time? Like, that's what you do when you want a raise. You tell them the work you've been doing. And then they will. And if they, yeah, and if they had spoken with lawyers or agents, or whatever and had an idea of how much money their show was making,
Starting point is 00:19:02 which was millions of dollars, then they could very clearly say, this is what our show is making, this is the amount that I think I should make. And if it's proportionate, like insane, then yeah, maybe there's going to be some back and forth. But if you're reasonable, it's probably going to go your way.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Exactly. I think that if they went to Dave and they were like instead of the lawyers and they were like, hey, we think 500K, this, that, the other thing. What Dave offered them, I think he would have been like, yeah, that makes sense. Like, I just, I have a, in working at Barstool and knowing, I just hope people now understand that like they're never trying to be the bad guys. Yeah. Yeah, I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:19:55 So it's, it's crazy. And it is truly like one of the only things that people have been able to talk about all week. The memes are funny. Yeah. Yeah. It's really crazy. And the, I'm sure there's just so many more layers to it. I wish Sophia gave us a little bit more, a little bit more, a lot more in the, in the, in the, in the,
Starting point is 00:20:24 video that she posts on her Instagram story. Yeah, I don't know. I just feel like there's so many more layers to this that we don't even know. And that's also why I really hope that Alex and Sophia can somehow figure it out and get back online and get that show up and running because people will be lining up to listen to them talk about what happened. But actually talk about it. Yes, no, like I said, they need, like, word vomit, true.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Like, they need to just tell us why you don't like each other right now. Yeah. What did she do wrong? What did she do wrong? Rash it out. Right. Reality TV, like gold right there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Yeah. So it is. It is. What happens? We shall see what happens. Quickly, not as interesting at all, but we talked about Macy's in the beginning. and we've talked about a lot of online shopping, which, yeah, this is totally... What a transition. I can't believe this. Totally not as interesting at all, but you needed to mention it.
Starting point is 00:21:35 People are my building, and by people, I mean, the employees... This just shows how exciting our lives are compared to what's going on. Right, not... Right. I need to, like, spice it up. Fram, we need to get into some sort of fake fight. That's why I tried with you in the beginning, but it's not going to work. It's just not going to work. Maybe me and Hank, I don't even want to say it. Oh, I know where you're going. Like a fake breakup?
Starting point is 00:22:00 No, I'm kidding. Yeah. I see people write that all the time. They're like, you have no idea how, like the ratings. I'm like, I know, I know. But at what point do I? Yeah, yeah. At what cost?
Starting point is 00:22:12 At what cost. So people talk about me a little bit? No, thanks. Yeah. Okay. I'll pass on that. Yeah. But anyway. My stable relationship.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Yeah. I would like to enjoy the good relationship that I have at this moment. Super fair. Anyways, the employees in my building, I think, hate me because I've been getting a ton of packages and because places are sending, if you order a lot of stuff at once, they're sending them in multiple shipments, they now drop off my package. You know how they used to like ring the doorbell when they drop off the package? They ring it five times.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Ding, ding, ding, ding. And they drop off the package. and it's so aggressive. Early in the morning, they do it on a fine Wednesday morning. Fucking five rings. I don't know what that's about. And I appreciate them dropping off the package very much. They know that.
Starting point is 00:23:00 But five rings, they must be angry. They must be angry with how many times they're coming up here. That is very true. I mean, maybe, maybe I don't know what the solution is. Maybe you need to like slip a $20 bill under the door or something because. Yeah, I think of like Dave with the unboxing. Right. Oh, well, it's not that much at all.
Starting point is 00:23:24 No, no, no. No, of course not. But that's right. That was like my first thought when he did all that. It was like, oh my God, the UPS people, just that's horrible. But, yeah, I mean. So I just slip some money under the door? Or yeah, maybe put it like in a little envelope and say, like, thanks so much for bringing all my packages.
Starting point is 00:23:46 Yeah, that's a good idea. Yeah. I feel like they'll appreciate that and it's people are, it'll stop the aggressive that and maybe like, you're not the only apartment. Like, that's getting a ton of packages. I can, I can promise you that. I think that's, that's probably just the way things go these days because everybody's just ordering everything online. So true. Well, I'm glad I got that off my chest. Just need to get that out there. But, friend, we have to get into our topics for this week. Oh, oh, wait, oh, wait, I wanted to say, before we get into topics, another super fascinating part of our lives right now because, you know, that's what you come and listen to us for all the drama.
Starting point is 00:24:35 My latest book that I read, I recommend. Literally, literally put us, well, like this week on Chicks in the Office. Ria is getting too many packages and Fran has another book to recommend. Top of the charts. Okay. I finished The Giver of Stars, Jojo Moise. I thought it was fantastic. It was one of my favorites I've read so far in quarantine. And it was really sweet.
Starting point is 00:25:09 It makes you kind of like cry at the end. A great story. And it's about like just these badass women in Kentucky in the 19th. 30s and they are strong figures and they, I don't want to get too much into it. They create this packhorse library. It's amazing. I highly recommend there's like drama, there's love, there's friendship. It has it all.
Starting point is 00:25:32 It has it all. So that's the latest on Fran's book recommendations. I completely toned out. No, I'm kidding. If anybody's looking for something else, I recommend that. People do look for her. recommendations for you know we're not we're not I've gotten a list I wouldn't say I literally would not be doing this if I didn't get like you know a few replies to my uh Instagram posts of the books being like
Starting point is 00:26:01 keep recommending books like we love we love to see this so I'm like okay if you know six people love to see this I'll I'll continue to talk about it um I watched little fires everywhere on Hulu and I enjoyed it I never read the book so next up I'm reading the book so next up I'm reading the book that's next week on Fran's book club. Very excited for you. Thank you. Good stuff. One last thing I'll say.
Starting point is 00:26:25 One last thing I'll say. Yeah. If you are reviewing our podcasts because you think we are the call her daddy girls, please don't. Please go to the correct podcast because people are now reviewing the wrong podcast, Fran. Oh, shoot. They're commenting, like, Team Portnoy, like with one star. Like, we are Team Portnoy.
Starting point is 00:26:47 We are. We chose his side. Yeah. Yeah. Damn. Wrong show. Wrong show. Please. Real it in. But we shall get into the topics for this week. Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber get the number one song on the Hot Build Board 100 chart, but 6-9 claims that they were faking it. So we get into that drama. A Very Cavalieri is over. As we know it, Kristen Cavalry announced that she will no longer be going on with this show. Megan Fox starred in Machine Gun Kelly's music video, so that gives a little explanation as to why they were seen together. We have our Listen to Your Heart recap with Trent. We have a great interview with the Lady Gang, Becca, Kelty, and Jack. And of course, we have our feel-good
Starting point is 00:27:33 segment. So let's get into it, starting off with Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's song Stuck With You has officially made it to number one on the hot 100 billboard charts. But this did not come easily and without any drama because 6-9 claims that Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun and the whole factory were buying the song in bulk so that Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber would become number one. Meanwhile, his song was number three. So if he was going to be number one, why?
Starting point is 00:28:47 wouldn't his song be at least number two. You're very right, Ria. You're very right. So this all is just unnecessary drama from 6'9 being the menace to society that he is just an absolute, an absolute menace. He obviously was pissed off. He won on these rants. He said in this video, he's like, I'm going to make this real quick because I, I'll be real disappointed if Bill Barr gets paid for number ones and somehow manipulates the charts. And, okay, and it's crazy because obviously the numbers that he produced for his song were huge.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Like the YouTube, I think it broke like YouTube records. Yeah, he released his first single, Guba. Yep. garnering the biggest 24-hour debut for a hip-hop video in YouTube history. So obviously that's a massive accomplishment. Congrats. Woo-hoo. I won't lie.
Starting point is 00:29:57 I kind of fuck with the song if I'm trying to get hyped up. I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking music and anybody should be like honoring the song. But if you're trying to get pumped up, you're trying to party, which... This started to this video started to put up. play. Okay. Sorry. Keep going. Um, like, obviously we're not trying to party right now because we're all stuck inside of our homes, but I do like to get pumped up still just for no reason at all and, uh, working out. And you put that song on. It'll get you pumped up a little bit. But I haven't listened to it. And I'm frank. You wouldn't like it. You would be repulsed. I know that you would not like it.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Yeah. Yeah. We're not, you know, you don't hate rap music, but you don't love it. You sure don't love it. No, no. I, yeah, you're right. Okay. So then obviously this whole, this blowup was trending on Twitter. It was all over the place that he was upset that he was basically insinuating that Grande, Bieber, Scooter Braun, that whole side was buying the song over and over again, kind of like in bulk to make sure that stayed at number one. But obviously that's not what happened. Stuck with you. Did come out as the number one song on the chart. Oriente Grosne wrote this whole long message about it. And she said, Thank you to everyone who supported this song,
Starting point is 00:31:26 this cause, and made this happen. We love you so much. There's so much to celebrate today. However, I would like to say a few things. Anyone who knows me or has followed me for a while knows that numbers aren't the driving force and anything I do. I'm grateful to sing.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Grateful to have people who want to love. listen. Grateful to even be here at all. I didn't have a number one for the first five years of my career and it didn't upset me at all because from the bottom of my heart, music is everything to me. My fans are everything to me. I promise I couldn't ask for another fucking thing. So with this celebration today, I would like to address a few things, which I don't usually do. I don't like to give my energy to drama or strange accusations normally, but this has gone a little too far. My fans bought the song. Justin's fans bought the song. Our fans bought this song. Never more than four copies each as the rules state. They are right or die motherfuckers and I thank God every day that I
Starting point is 00:32:12 have them in my life, not just when they fight for us to win, even when I asked them not to as I did this week, but because they're some of the greatest people I know. Sales count for more than streams. You cannot discredit this as hard as you try. To anybody that is displeased with their placement on the chart this week or is spending their time racking their brain, thinking of as many ways as they can to discredit hardworking women and only the women for some reason, I ask you to take a moment to humble yourself. Be grateful you're even here. that people want to listen to you at all. It's a blessed position to be in.
Starting point is 00:32:41 I've had a lot of almost number ones in my career and never said a goddamn thing because I feel grateful to even be here, to be hurt at all, and you should feel that way too. Congratulations to all my talented ass peers in the top 10 this week, even number three. And thank you to Billboard for this honor and thank you to everybody who helped us raise a lot of money
Starting point is 00:32:57 for a very important cause this week. Love you a lot. So she just handed six, nine, an absolutely beautifully worded slap in the face. Like it was a very well-written slap in the face. Like, she could have made that super harsh.
Starting point is 00:33:19 She, I thought she took the high ground, explained it very well, and without saying, hey, look, asshole. How about you just be grateful that your song is doing well? You were just in jail. Like, just be happy
Starting point is 00:33:34 with what you're, what you got maybe and stop being a piece of shit. She could have said that, but she didn't. Yeah, Ariana Grande seems to always respond respectfully while dunking on the person. Yes, a respectful dunk. So them just getting number one and her going on that long paragraph and it just speaks for itself. I mean, she just did in a classy way.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Personally, I probably would have called six nine an asshole. So it's nice to see that Ariana Grande kept that. inside, but I'm sure she's on the phone with people being like, Takashi 6-9 is a fucking asshole. Behind the scenes, that's what's being said. But, you know, she did it a nice way, this long paragraph,
Starting point is 00:34:16 and congrats to Justin Bieber and our underground for getting number one. That's huge. It definitely is. Zara Larson commented in all caps, tell the rat with a bunch of exclamation points,
Starting point is 00:34:30 and then just wrote queen. I came across a picture from rolling loud, I forgot that when they broadcasted Takashi 69's face on the screen and wrote, stop snitching. I forgot that happened and then I just came across all the pictures the other day. Yep, that did happen. And, you know, Scooter also commented on it and kind of clarified a little bit with just how things are charted in general.
Starting point is 00:34:56 He said, only domestic streams are counted for a domestic chart. If someone is counting their total, they aren't counting correctly. Two, we never disclose our sales until end of week. That is called strategy and is always been our policy. Three, Nilsson and Billboard rule state clearly one credit card can only buy max four copies. Anything above that, the entire amount gets thrown out. They review that. All must be confirmed, which is, which it was.
Starting point is 00:35:19 No one should discredit your amazing fan base with lies. Yes, there was an investigation this week, but it was into a video that had six times the amount of paid bot activity than the normal video. That video was not ours. So then there's the other side of this because now people were saying that Takashi they got bots to stream the video on YouTube
Starting point is 00:35:40 and that's why that number was so big and also makes sense US chart domestic YouTube obviously the number is everyone in the world that's watched it so if that number is huge only a percentage of that is US listens so
Starting point is 00:35:57 why does it always have to be that somebody who has huge numbers or is successful, it has to be faking it or buying it and whatnot. It's really annoying. Like, Takashi 6-9, huge music video, were people watching that all over the world? Yes, do I think there were box? No. Same thing with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Why do people believe that Ariana Grande's fans wouldn't just buy a song? Huge fans of her that's very clear everywhere. So yes, people are going to buy her song. I don't know why it always has to be a thing where people have to be like this person's faking it, that person's faking it.
Starting point is 00:36:32 They're fucking huge artists. They're not faking it. I don't put it past Takashi 6'9 to maybe have some bots view in that video. I don't think you are giving Takasha 69 as much credit. I don't think, no, no, I know he is ginormous. I understand. No, that I absolutely understand. But to have the, I mean, I guess it's possible.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I don't know. I don't know. It is possible, but... I just get frustrated that it's always, oh, this person must be faking it. This person must be faking it. Like, they just have fans. People, there's, you know, a ton of people in this fucking world. And they're fans of different artists.
Starting point is 00:37:59 It's official. Very Cavalry is no more. Kristen posted on her Instagram that, you know, moving on this new chapter of her life, she will no longer be doing the show, that she loved doing the show, had so much fun, but, you know, it's come to its end. And I'm surprised by this and not surprised at the same time, only because this is where reality TV flourishes post-divorce. This is the stuff people want to see.
Starting point is 00:38:34 The ratings probably would have been huge for a post-J situation. and, you know, if she was talking about this. But I'll understand this is something that's very personal to her. She was always more private about her family life on the show that she was her business life and everything that, you know, went on with Uncommon James and her employees and all that. So I do understand it at the same time, but I was still kind of surprised.
Starting point is 00:39:08 I'm not that surprised because I feel like Kristen Cavalry and Jay Cutler very much do not like each other right now. And if I had to guess, I would say that Kristen Cavalery has no problem with continuing reality TV in her life because she has always been on reality TV. Whereas Jay Cutler, I could see him being like, listen, I'm not with you anymore. I don't want to be on reality TV. But a lot of people really like Jay Cutler on the show. So if Jay Cutler leaves the show, that takes away viewers. So I feel like it was probably a little bit of back and forth between Kristen Capillary and E and realizing that this show is not going to be the same anymore if Jay Cutler's not on it.
Starting point is 00:39:55 And I can't show my divorce. It's fake then. It's not a reality TV if I can't show what's going on in my actual life. Right. So what I also find interesting about this is, the timeline because obviously this all just came out. But when we interviewed Kristen way back when and we had talked to her about the hills coming back and everything, it was clear that because of her situation with E, she could not appear on the hills on MTV. And then I want to say a
Starting point is 00:40:34 couple months ago, it came out that Kristen was going to appear on a couple episodes of the second season of the Hills, not as a full cast member, but she was going to appear in an episode or maybe two, I don't know, which makes me think how long has this all been going on? Has she known for a while that they weren't going to be doing the show again? Because, which, which, was she able to do that with MTV because she already knew that she wasn't going to be doing more of very Cavalry, in which case, like, it's just, it's crazy because I feel like she's been dealing with so much for so long, and it's, it all seems like it's happening right now. Right. But it's probably been over the course of months now. Exactly. And I said this on the group chat earlier
Starting point is 00:41:29 today that maybe she'll just go back on the hills. Like, you know, if E doesn't want to do a deal with her anymore and they're not going to have a show anymore, what's stopping her from having a part of a reality show? You know what I mean? They just gave her a small part of just about her. Right, Nashville. He just has a little bit of a, oh, true, I forgot she's not in, she just doesn't live in L.A. I forgot about that. I know. Oh, well, you know, we could dream. A girl can dream. I know. that Brody Jenner and Kristen Cavalry will somehow start hooking up again. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:06 I feel like Bordie Jens goes for the youngings nowadays. Over 18, but younger girls, of course. For sure. I think Kristen... Young blondes. Yeah. I think Kristen is a little bit too mature for him these days. He doesn't want kids.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Right. She's a grown-ass woman with a family. and Brody Jenner is not on that level. He's not on that level, no. He just wants a quick bang. I will say so. I will say, though, about Brody Jenner. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:44 The guy is ageless. Like, he truly just stays looking fine as in every picture. I know. It's crazy. This guy does not age. There are so many celebrities. that I would love to know like what what they do to their face and you and I'm everybody does something like I would love to know what what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Brody Jenner might be at the top of that list because I had the same thought Ria watching his Instagram stories the other day it was like really close to it was really close to his face and like really close to his forehead and I was like with the amount of sun that this guy gets he's always outside surfing boarding whatever it is he's got no wrinkles. Nothing. Nothing. I'm like, what? Perfect skin. Flawless. Yeah. And you're, you are right. He's got to have some secrets. There has to be. Like, every time, you're so right. That's what I'm talking about. Every time I see this face, I'm like, that is a perfect face. Is it Botox? Because if it's Botox, he's getting some great Botox done. Right. Let me know. Let us know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Quick update about the Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly situation. We thought they were dating. Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green have actually separated. He said it on a podcast. They are not together right now. So when Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were seen together, people were speculating. Are these two dating?
Starting point is 00:44:58 What's going on? Turns out Megan Fox was in his music video for his song Bloody Valentine. And maybe there is something going on behind the scenes, but now that I'm thinking about it, it probably had to do with something the fact that they were going to do a movie together and now lockdown's happening and he wanted to do a music video
Starting point is 00:45:17 and Megan Fox stepped in. For sure. And maybe it was going on the side, slightly. It's, that is the logical reasoning. But when you watch this music video and you see the two of them together,
Starting point is 00:45:35 it's tough to believe something. something's not going on. They have a lot of... They have a lot of chemistry. Like we said last time, rock and roll royalty, like, first of all,
Starting point is 00:45:48 I have not even heard this song before from Machine Gun Kelly, and I think the song is great. I, you know, Machine Gun Kelly seems to have maybe switched his vibe musically sometimes. I didn't know that this was what he has been doing,
Starting point is 00:46:05 but the song's great. and when you listen to the words like there's points when in the video Megan and Machine and Kelly are singing this song almost like to each other like she's also singing it and it has like forbidden love vibes to it
Starting point is 00:46:26 like yes exactly like Kate back and tail like want what I can't have I'm in love with the girl that's married kind of situation but now she's set separated and now we can be together. It's not weird. I'm rooting for them as a couple. I would totally get behind Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. She's only four years older than him, as Noah pointed out to me earlier. And so I don't think that's a crazy age difference. You know, it's not like they're 20 years
Starting point is 00:46:54 apart. I think it's a beautiful blended family. Beautiful. I would really be rooting for them. And to just see Megan Fox in movies again would be outstanding. Really haven't seen her much. Yeah. It was great just this year in the music video. Yeah, it was like, wow. I really felt like I was watching Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen again. Except she's way older and more matured. For our feel good segment this week, honestly, shout out to the comments by celebs girls because they posted all of these things and they're great, really just
Starting point is 00:47:53 taking them straight for their Instagram because it made me so happy. And I will say, I did have a listener, send me one of them. before and then it ended up on comments by celebs also. Number one is this FedEx delivery guy. Very cute. He said he ran into a kid on his route and he's maybe eight or nine years old, Cooper. And he had this old ass skateboard like falling apart. And he was like, can you please get this to Tony Hawk?
Starting point is 00:48:26 So cute. He wrote his name on one side, Tony Hawk on the other, like on that. actual skateboard. And obviously, you know, the FedEx guy was like, sure, yeah, of course. You know, the mom's like winked at him. Like, yeah, just tell him. They'll send it to Tony Hawk. And he's like, yeah, of course, whatever, I'll send it. So he posts this video online of the skateboard and everything. So cute. And of course, Tony Hawk, what a guy. Tony Hawk, like always, I feel like whenever there is some kind of video that needs a response from Tony Hawk, Tony Hawk responds. So he had commented on it, tell Cooper I got him and I'll trade him for a new board. And then Tony Hawk posts, this is all on
Starting point is 00:49:04 TikTok. Tony Hawk, Tony Hawk posted on his own TikTok. He sent it to the FedEx delivery guy. I was like, thanks for relaying Cooper's message gift. I'll DM my address and FedEx number. He said he was going to send Cooper the one of his own skateboards that he had in the video, held it up, and was like, this one's going to Cooper. Keep doing you, pal. It's just so cute. Amazing. Didn't we talk about this recently on a podcast? Like when your mom, or dad has to fake sending something to a celebrity and then act like they write back, but then it turns out Tony Hawk actually is now sending you a skateboard. With the power of the internet now, it's like, you know, parents can fake it,
Starting point is 00:49:43 but with the hope that something could eventually happen. Because that's just the power of the internet these days. And the same thing, honestly, with this second one, this is, this had everybody like literally crying. It was so nice. A Humans of New York Post was this girl's story about the man that ended up
Starting point is 00:50:09 marrying her father when she was young. They had a great relationship. He was a cop. He was an artist, but then became a cop. And he continued to work on his art and he would paint and he did all this. But eventually, very sad, he was diagnosed with MS.
Starting point is 00:50:27 So he slowly was unable to continue to do his art. And one of the last things that he ever did was this painting of Sting. And she wrote that, you know, in his final days, they were going through his possessions. She wrote, he was telling me who to give them to. I pulled the Sting painting out of an old box and asked, what should I do with this? His response was immediate. Give it to Sting, he said. All of us started laughing. But Dag were very serious. His eyes narrowed. He looked right at me and said, give it to Sting. So I guess that's my final assignment.
Starting point is 00:51:02 And that was the end of the Humans of New York Post. And then Sting's daughter commented on the post at Humans of New York. DM me, just three different comments. DM me. Then she commented, just texted her. We'll keep you posted. Then she wrote update.
Starting point is 00:51:20 We connected crying emoji and working out logistics. Love, love, love. So just another one. really pulls at the at the whole heartstrings also when you have um like a daughter or son or whoever on the internet this also brings people together like you said yeah exactly and anything's possible yeah the humans of new york posts are always either just like heart wrenchingly sad or hopeful or you know a crazy story so when these people tell their story and get the result that they want, like, this girl writing, you know,
Starting point is 00:52:03 this was my final assignment from my dad, and actually being able to fulfill that, knowing that now her dad is no longer with them, like, is very emotional and so, so cool. Instagram, the power of Instagram. The power of, and TikTok now. And TikTok, and comments by celebs. And comments by celebs, these girls. And literally, okay, and the last thing I want to talk about,
Starting point is 00:52:29 which is not a heartfelt humanitarian story. Legally Blonde 3. I'm very excited about this. Legally Blonde 3, it is happening. I know that Legally Blonde 2 wasn't exactly it. That's fine. Reese Witherspoon is going to do Legally Blonde 3, and Mindy Kaling just signed on to write it,
Starting point is 00:52:53 which is great because, I mean, I don't think Mindy Kailen. will ruin legally blonde. No, she'll only make it better. Exactly. And truthfully, you can only go up from legally blonde, too. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:07 We can remember us legally blonde too. Exactly. Exactly. It was on TV the other night. I'm not going to lie. I put on like a half hour of it and was like, oh, it's just, it's tough because it's just not, it's just not legally blonde. But hopefully, legally blonde three with the help of Mindy Kaling will be amazing.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Mindy and Reese have worked together on things before and they've always been fantastic. So I think that's going to be pretty awesome. And now enough time has passed that it can be just as funny and great as the original where it doesn't seem like they're trying to copy the original. Yeah, exactly. And Reese has an age today. So it's unbelievable. And I'm sure Elle Woods will be doing something awesome. Right. And if they need any flashbacks, just get Reese's daughter because she looks exactly. like her. Very, very true. Times are tough right now, and I don't know about you guys, but with everything going on, I could use a beer. Coorslight is helping to give beer to friends and family members who deserve
Starting point is 00:54:34 some right now. Just using the hashtag, hashtag could use a beer, is a reminder that taking time to pause with a cold one can refresh us to keep pressing on even during the most unusual of circumstances. So right now, obviously, like I said, things are crazy, but my One of my favorite things to do is maybe sit back with a book or I'm watching a TV show or something or, you know, talking to friends on the phone or Zoom and having a Koreslite. It's a great way to relax, have a sense of normalcy. And you can also do that right now. If you go to Koreslight on Twitter, you can help someone get a six pack of Kors Light. So it's a great chance to connect and celebrate with loved ones virtually during a time when we could all hashtag, could you, a beer. And like I said, you just have to go to the Corslight Twitter, find out how to enter, and you could be sending beer to a loved one, or Corseslite will be sending it for you. Corslight knows that beer won't fix the current state of the world, but it can refresh us to keep pressing on. So go to head to the Corslight Twitter and nominate a friend or loved one
Starting point is 00:55:43 that deserves a six-pack. Because let's face it right now, America, hashtag could use a beer So go to at Corzlight on Twitter to share who could use a six-pack now. Guys, always remember to sell a bit responsibly. This is coming from the Corres Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado. You must be 21 or older. Starting point is 00:56:15 Cbit.bid.L.Y slash CL rules for details. Cheers. Cheers. Thank you guys. Thank you guys so much. The world's most refreshing podcast. Yes. Our last listen to your heart. Recap is here.
Starting point is 00:56:27 The finale. The show is over. We have crowned a winner. Monday's episode, we watched them all in Nashville. This is the last stop. And it started off with Matt and Rudy. Clearly not on the same page. We had like a half hour of them going back
Starting point is 00:56:49 and forth. It's very hard. It was very clear that it's very hard for Matt and Rudy, at least during this show, to communicate. Mostly, I think, because Matt would explain how he was feeling, and then Rudy would just immediately burst into tears. Every single time, every single time they would have a sit down, you could see, and sometimes Matt doesn't have the right wording, or he doesn't say correctly. It's not all that eloquent, but he does try to get his point across. Like, remember the, you're very courageous for saying you're falling for me. Not great, but that is how he genuinely felt. But yeah, every time it happens, Rudy just, she ends up on a bed with her head covered, and she's just crying. And it's unfortunate. And I kind of harped on it last week,
Starting point is 00:57:36 and I don't want to be mean towards Chris and Bree, but they screwed everything up. They screwed every relationship in that house by how fast and how fast it went. They are ready to get married. I actually don't know what their present day update is, but I'm guessing they're still together. But in that house, they screwed up almost every other relationship because of how fast they went. Right. And what's also interesting about it, because obviously Matt had explained to Rudy, like, I'm not on the same level as you, which kind of made it seem like that they had to go home, which was confusing because it was like, well, why wouldn't you just wait it out? You have one more performance left and just see what happens. But I saw some tweets also from like Beckettilly and
Starting point is 00:58:19 Ashley I going back and forth and like Ashley was questioning how much the producers had to do with Matt and Rudy leaving. Like maybe they only wanted two couples in the in the finale actually performing or maybe they wanted like some, you know, one last big blowup breakup so that, you know, there was something else happened. Who knows? Because logically, you would just think that, hey, like, you can probably wait it out. Unless Matt really did get into his head and see, you know, Chris and Bree and Trevor and Jamie, who they thought were, like, way, way ahead of them and just thought, like,
Starting point is 00:58:59 it wasn't even playing field? I don't know. And this is where the whole point of the show is complicated, too, because we talked about this. Like, what's the most important thing? being in love or like being super talented because if it was being super talented Matt and Rudy should have just went to the end and saying and like they could have won but clearly love in some way was the more important thing uh to get to that spot there might be something
Starting point is 00:59:34 like you had to like be in love to be in the finale which I don't know I don't remember that being a hard and fast rule that maybe like Chris Harrison at the beginning, Chris Harrison maybe needed to be like, hey, man, you got to be straight up in love if you want to sing in our finale. Seriously. Although, going back to what you said about Ashley and Becca, I feel like there might be something to that with them saying that maybe they wanted just two groups to be in the final.
Starting point is 00:59:58 I remember being confused at the end of the fifth week, where they sent home one group to leave three couples left. That was confusing to me because if you're going into a final, you probably only want two couples competing for that. So maybe they kept Matt and Rudy around, like you said, for one more dramatic blowup. It's just a real shame that Matt and Rudy were the couple to go home because I think they have the most potential. Chris and Bree, they had a great last performance, clearly. But Matt and Rudy, I mean, Rudy is ultra talented.
Starting point is 01:00:28 Oh, yeah. Absolutely. And it was just a tease because they gave them all their songs. And we found out that they would be singing a Whitney Houston song. and then they just ripped that away from us. Like they just absolutely stole that moment from us. Thankfully, Rudy on her own Instagram did post a clip of her singing the song
Starting point is 01:00:52 because she did see all the people who wanted to see that performance like me. And even on the Instagram, she fucking knocked it out of the park. Right, she was singing. It wasn't a, she wasn't on stage, it wasn't professional sound. It wasn't like the best sound quality
Starting point is 01:01:09 and she still killed it. She sounded fantastic. So it was a real shame, but I mean, Matt didn't think he was in a place where they could continue. But Fran, like you said, you just maybe pretend you're in love
Starting point is 01:01:22 and then go to the final and knock Trevor and Jamie out of there. Right. Like normally, if this was any other Bachelor show, we would be totally against the person that was like faking being in love. But it's just such a weird.
Starting point is 01:01:39 thing. We're like, I don't know. There's, there were six episodes. Just make to the end. Sing your song. We'll see what happens. But Matt and Rudy, they left, which just left Kristen Brie and Jamie and Trevor. They had their final dates. And honestly, you know,
Starting point is 01:01:57 they were happy couples. They did just some classic ABC manipulation for The Bachelor. You went into the final performances thinking maybe Jamie and Trevor were going to take it because they tried to make it seem like Jamie and Trevor
Starting point is 01:02:15 were the more secure couple and that maybe Chris and Bree like some things were coming up because Chris and Bree they both agreed to not have the fantasy suite which you know that's fine Jamie and Trevor did choose to have a fantasy suite. Not a surprise. Yeah, not a surprise at all.
Starting point is 01:02:35 Let me ask you this. Did you think, did you see fantasy suites coming? I, that wasn't even on my radar. I was one of the few moments this season of this show where I was like, this is amazing. Like this is, I didn't see fantasy sweets coming and I did see Trevor and Jamie for sure taking them up on that offer.
Starting point is 01:02:52 But Chris and Bree, what a mature move by them to be like, no, I want to connect more on an emotional and that type of level before we make things physical. They're just like the perfect couple. Yeah, it's, it was shocking because ABC did, as much, like the producers of the show did as much as they could do to make it seem like maybe Chris and Bree were going to have a problem. Like the way they teased every part of it, like they made, you would think like, oh shit, maybe something's going to happen. Like, even in the
Starting point is 01:03:22 preview when they were sitting at dinner and they were getting the fantasy sweet card, you didn't, you weren't really sure what was going on, but with the music and they had Brie like kind of stuttering over her words a little bit and being like, well, I don't want to take things too far. And then it was just like Chris's face, like, not. saying anything and you're like oh shit is something happening when in reality it was brie being like i care for you too much and i think we should keep building our emotional connection and chris being like i absolutely agree with you and there was there was no problems to be had at all so they made it seem like maybe that was going to be a thing it wasn't jamie and trevor like jamie and trevor like jamie and
Starting point is 01:04:01 Trevor cute. Jamie is, you know, an adorable Disney princess, like we said. It just, you know, never thought Jamie and Trevor
Starting point is 01:04:10 would see the light of day after this show. Pretty sure we were correct on that one. Yeah. And they sang their final songs. Someone put the Trevor and Jamie thing to me perfectly.
Starting point is 01:04:22 They said, on Twitter it was, and they said, Trevor has somehow put in 0% and 110% at the same time. You can just see, like the one foot that he has in the door is firmly firmly planted in it like yep i'm totally into
Starting point is 01:04:36 jamie i think this will definitely work i think we could be superstars after this and then the other foot is just running away and he's just like i'm out of here if we don't win this and we don't get a record deal or again whatever the prize was i kind of forget i'm just out of here i'm not even dealing with jamie for another week or so yeah no you that is a absolutely perfect description of it I thought that too when I saw that tweet. It's really described it so well. So they had their last performances in Nashville. Star-studded judging panel.
Starting point is 01:05:11 Obviously saved the best for last. They had Caitlin and Jason, Rita Wilson, Taye Diggs, and Jewel. I mean, when was the last time you saw Jewel? Just really amazing stuff. She doesn't age. She does not age. She looks amazing. She looks amazing.
Starting point is 01:05:27 that, like you said, I probably haven't seen her in 15 years, and she looks exactly the same. Right. And just a lot of cool people wearing cool hats. You know, Jewel had a cool hat. Tade Diggs had a cool hat. Katelyn can rock a hat. She should have worn one just so everyone could have been in cool hats. But they, it was a great judging panel. Jamie and Trevor, they, Jamie, I thought, performed the best she has this whole time. Yep. Trevor just,
Starting point is 01:06:02 Trevor's just like a very average singer. Like, there's just nothing really there. That might even be generous. Brea, did that peak your interest? I thought you were getting ready to say something about Trevor. She was getting a little bit closer to the microphone. I mean talking about how Trevor's not that good. bury him.
Starting point is 01:06:24 Well, I've been looking for something to shit on Trevor about considering he didn't do any of the slime ball activity I thought he would participate in on this show. Now, I don't know, maybe they swept some things under the rug. I'm on to this guy still. I still don't think he's a good guy. Like, everyone could be like, oh, Rhea, he didn't do anything wrong on the show. No, he didn't do anything wrong on the show, maybe. But in real life, we have not heard great things.
Starting point is 01:06:50 So I'm going to stick by the fact that I don't trust Trevor. and I would not recommend Kelly Kieg spawning over him on Twitter because he's also not that great of a singer. It feels like... He doesn't have it. He doesn't have it. He thinks he has it, but he does not have it. He's got by, let's be honest, he's got by on his good looks for some time. But people who look that way do not make me...
Starting point is 01:07:16 It's such a, it's a hard thing to explain. But people who are like, what is it, convectionally? is that the word I'm looking for good looking? Convectionally. Conventionally. Conventionally? Convectionally? Convectionally?
Starting point is 01:07:29 Like it's an oven? Convectionally? I was like, that's definitely not the right worship. I had a feeling it was conventionally, but I just, I wanted to turn on that convection bake. I wanted to put up that heat a little bit. Heat coming from all sides. Okay. They're always so good looking.
Starting point is 01:07:50 like that genuinely turns me off. Like for some reason, it's like you think you're so good looking that you don't even have to have a personality. Right. You know what I mean? Like his personality any good looking features this guy may have
Starting point is 01:08:09 because he is now not. I was going to say ugly, but I don't want to be too mean because he's not ugly. No, he's still an attractive guy. Let's not get it twisted. the only reason he is on the show is because he looks like Jed. That's the whole reason they cast him.
Starting point is 01:08:25 He wears the same stupid jackets. He kind of looks like him in the face. And everyone, that guy looks like Jed. I'm convinced that as the reason he was cast. It feels like 100 years ago that Natasha showed up and was like, I got the dirt on Trevor. I'm going to bury him on this show.
Starting point is 01:08:40 And Jamie's not going to want to go anywhere near him for some reason. It flipped the other way and Jamie fell even more in love with him. You're right, Rhea. There's something going on with him. And I think it came to love. where they're not together anymore. He used Jamie for the show to be like, I'm super in love with you.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Let's try to win this thing. And as soon as that didn't happen, they're not together anymore. So that's what Trevor's like. Exactly. He's just trying to get to fame. It's not going to happen for you, buddy. Give it up.
Starting point is 01:09:10 And, you know what? Yeah. It goes back to his... I have my hands up, if anyone was curious. It also goes back to like his American Idol audition, which I did, I have seen. in because like he sang and Katie Perry was just like, you're so hot. So clearly he's gone very far.
Starting point is 01:09:28 Fuck you, Katie Perry. And can you imagine? I guarantee Trevor's now using like, oh, I was on Listen to Your Heart. I made it to the final two couples. I'm going to be the superstar on whatever reality show he goes on next. All the other contestants are going to be like, that's the American Idol. Listen to your heart guy. Right.
Starting point is 01:09:46 And so, I mean, look, this is obvious, like they're performing. was it was good it was but it you know did make me feel girl who hooks up with Trevor I just I don't want to be too mean but just do better do better for yourself don't sit there and say oh I'm gonna hook up with this guy because he's been on fucking American Idol and listen to your heart it's not worth it because he's been on American Idol and listen to your heart think about how ridiculous that sounds and get yourself get yourself a winner he can't he didn't win he didn't even win don't hook up with the runner up, hook up with the winner if you're going to do anything.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Might. Exactly. I just wanted to put that out there. You know, some people will do things for clout and that's fine, but make sure it's good clout. Right. The, like I said, they were just pretty fine. Didn't really make me feel anything, which is, you know, not a good thing. Caitlin had a very funny comment about, you know, fantasy sweets because she had felt there was some kind of chemistry
Starting point is 01:10:49 between them pretty much just saying like it feels like you guys have banged or are about to bang um so that's okayela was great yeah i was i was i thought she added a lot to it some of the other um who were the oh um Lauren and Ari obviously bit of a miss but like Caitlin she's got such an awesome personality that like she was perfect i wish she had been like all three weeks i know right they should have just kept between like those two and um jojo and jordan um um So, what was I going to say? Oh, yeah, so they performed. They had their songs. They were fine. Chris and Brie came out and I thought they crushed it. I mean, they, I had goosebumps. It was making me emotional. It was a beautiful performance. Everybody felt it. As soon as we were like 30 seconds
Starting point is 01:11:43 into that song, I was like, I can't believe I ever thought that Jamie and Trevor had a chance. to win this over Chris and Bree. It's not even close. That just shows how good the Bachelor producers are at making us like, oh, what's going to happen? Totally. Like doubting that they were going to lose that. Insane.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Also, it was funny that during Trevor and Jamie's performance, they would cut back to Chris and Bree being like, man, they're doing pretty well up there. That's pretty good. And then when Chris and Bree were up there singing, very, very few cuts back to Trevor and Jamie to the point where I thought they had exited the building. Like, they're like, oh, this is definitely, like,
Starting point is 01:12:18 they're way. way better than us. So we're just going to be all over. Right. Totally. So obviously Chris and Brie were crowned the winners. Very well deserved. They, I don't think they, I don't think they got a record deal as a prize.
Starting point is 01:12:36 I think they were able to record an album or record, you know, a collection of songs. Because there is a, you can listen to it right now. It's called Chris and Brie. and it's like, I think there's a couple other things, but it's mostly the music that they did sing on the show. Okay. And then I think they are supposed, you know, whatever, they're supposed to tour.
Starting point is 01:13:00 That was like the other part of it, that they would tour together. Obviously, that's not happening at the current moment, but maybe it'll happen down the line. And then, you know, if you were curious about where these people are now, Chris and Bree, still together, doing well, and I think unfortunately they're like in different places right now so I'm sure that's tough but oh really yeah I think I read an entertainment um tonight article that said that they have been doing long distance but they're making it work and you know
Starting point is 01:13:34 marriage has been discussed as a possibility down the line so hopefully they're good uh Jamie and Trevor not not together not shocking but but but it doesn't seem like anything bad happened like it just seem like it was over. They have both spoken about each other and posted about each other saying really nice things. So, but it doesn't seem like they're still together. Matt and Rudy are working, I don't know, working on it kind of like they're not together, but they still talk all the time. And they're, it's so hard right now because like I said, everybody's in different places. So that's basically what everyone's been saying. Like they're like, oh, it's tough because you know we're obviously in different locations so we haven't been able to see each other but we still talk and we'll see what
Starting point is 01:14:20 happens so they're a TBD and so is Ryan and Natasha Ryan and Natasha really yeah Ryan and Tasha said that they still talk they're still working things out and they're doing music together like I think they have they've been they have realized that they have good whatever just chemistry as a duo and they've both been teasing on their social media uh music coming from the both of them. Interesting. If anything, they're still singing together, but she said that they said the same thing.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Like, they still talk all the time, but they're in different locations, so things are hard, but it's not not happening. Out of all of the couples, out of all of them, I'm sure Chris and Bree, they seem pretty solid.
Starting point is 01:15:06 They seem solid from the moment they walked into that guitar center, I think they're going to, you know, probably be together going forward. The only other couple that I care about are Matt and Rudy. I hope they make it.
Starting point is 01:15:15 I think that would be awesome. They'd be, I don't know if they're going to run, I don't know if they're going to run this show back or whatever, but have them back as judges and then they're, they're making music together. I think, yeah,
Starting point is 01:15:24 I hope they, they end up together for sure. I'm with you on that. I was definitely a fan of them as a couple. And, I mean, Chris and Bree, they had it from the beginning.
Starting point is 01:15:33 There was no doubt. They fell in love, you know, the second they saw each other. And it was a, easy, easy win. Literally the second that they saw each other.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Yeah. Exactly. Completely over. So I think if you look at it as a whole, I think they're the correct people to win the whole thing. Yes, for sure. Now, this is a question I have for all of us, so we can discuss.
Starting point is 01:15:59 In a couple weeks, we'll have The Bachelor greatest seasons of all time shows happening. Yep. Trent, would you like to talk with us about those? Oh, yeah. Because I want to talk about them because I feel like there's going to be a lot of seasons that you guys didn't watch. And I would love to, like, see your reactions to a lot of the things that happened.
Starting point is 01:16:25 Yeah, if you guys weren't to recap those, I'm in on that. Because, like you said, there are going to be a few. I've seen the previews, and there's a couple of seasons that I definitely saw, and a couple of seasons that I definitely did not see. And, yeah, I'm really excited for that, just being able to go back in the history books and see some of those famous seasons. Totally. I think it'll be a lot of fun.
Starting point is 01:16:41 Okay, good. Glad we came to that agreement. I'm glad that every time we wrap up a show, we have another one to talk about. There's another one on deck. That's thankfully that, you know, they have gifted us with that, even when they aren't able to do Bachelorette and Bachelorette Paradise. So, thanks for that at least. Yeah, hopefully by the end of when they're rerunning the greatest seasons,
Starting point is 01:17:02 hopefully we're kind of more to shooting the season of the Bachelorette, but who knows? I know. I hope so. Fingers crossed. All right, guys. That's it for Listen to Your Heart. We are here with three a very special guest from the Lady Gang,
Starting point is 01:17:43 Kelty, Becca, Jack. Welcome back to the show. You guys were once on this show like a year and a half ago maybe, and we're really excited to have you guys back. Thanks. You're our favorite show to do. Oh, you don't have to love us.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Thank you. You probably tell that to everyone. You guys let me have a full episode talking about Love Island. How can that not be my favorite thing to do in the entire world? They did. That is true.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Yeah. I don't remember that. A whole recap. It was recent. Holy cow. Because there's like, there's, we have not found as many people out there. People love Love Island, but Ria and I loved it so much. And we found out that Jack loved it as much as we did.
Starting point is 01:18:25 And we were like, well, we got to have Jack to come talk about it because nobody else understands. And nobody gets it. Yeah. People need to get on the Love Island train because it is the best reaction. show ever. But anyway. Before we started, I was telling Becca and Kelty, Jack, now you're here, that you three, your Instagram stories are three people that I actually put the sound on and I watch every single one. I don't do that for everybody, but I'm very interested in your guys' lives. I really am. Where did I win you over just like it? Yeah, you like, was it my, like, my, like, uh, vertical planter.
Starting point is 01:19:03 I'll tell you guys each thing about you that won me over. Okay. Kelty, it was your dancing, TikTok dance, because I... Everyone's like that. I like TikTok a lot, so when I see other people doing TikTok,
Starting point is 01:19:17 I'm like, yes, let's go. Becca? Can I say what mine is? Wait, Maria, can I say what mine is before you? Okay, I'm going to say, Kelty, yours is your home tours. I, for some reason, I'm like, I don't even have a home.
Starting point is 01:19:30 Why do I care? I don't know. But like, I'm like, wow, I'm like, wow, Kelty's home is so nice. Come on over for a sleepover. Yeah. Moving on to Becca. You cooking for your husband. I very much enjoy because sometimes it's bad and sometimes it's good.
Starting point is 01:19:49 And I wait on the edge of my seat seeing which one it is. It's usually bad. I am terrible, terrible, terrible. Like, an example is I make rice a couple times a week because it's so, quote, easy. I've probably made rice 15 times And last night I made it And it was like crunchy And I could not figure out what I did
Starting point is 01:20:08 And I put the wrong amount of water in it So it's like I can't even get that right So that's okay I have the same issue I feel like Like I can cook But I can't bake
Starting point is 01:20:20 Anytime I bake something It tastes like shit So I give up on that Jack your Instagram stories It goes back to Love Island As soon as you were posting About Love Island constantly I was like, I have to see every time she posts because now she always is writing about reality TV shows like us and I love it.
Starting point is 01:20:40 And also, I'd like to add that last time you were here with us, when you guys, the three of you came, Jack was all like, oh, I'm single. Is anybody in this office single? Oh, yeah. And then the next week she had a boyfriend. Yeah. The next week. She works fast. You know what?
Starting point is 01:20:58 I had a boyfriend during that time. Well, we had been dating. But I hadn't made him my boyfriend yet. So it's still kind of, you know, what else was out there to see if, you never know. And there wasn't anything. So then I made him my boyfriend. So you said all day now you're happy.
Starting point is 01:21:16 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. Weighed all the options and decided that this was the best case. The best decent one. No, he's amazing. But I do remember there's like somebody at your office that I was like, that's the guy. No, it was somebody who was tall. That was it.
Starting point is 01:21:30 Yes. Oh, that's what it was. He was tall. He, I don't even know if he had a face, but he was tall. He doesn't need a face if he's tall. I know who it was and he was fired. So, move alone. You know your friend that got to be the suitcase guy on The Bachelor?
Starting point is 01:21:47 Oh, my God. Yes. Yeah. Brent. Is he single? Yes. Trent is single, yeah. Has his DMs, like, has he gotten lots of dates since he appeared on Bachelor?
Starting point is 01:21:58 You know, you know what? I don't know. I'm sure he has, but he doesn't tell us. Yeah. We don't really have that kind of relationship with him where he, like, wants to tell us his personal life. But it's not like that. It's not like we're like not close with him. I don't think he tells anybody. He's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do have to say that his whole storyline with the suitcase situation was the purest form of happiness have ever seen anybody experience. Yeah. He's good for him. So cute. I know. It was chasing happiness. Right. It's just dreams coming true.
Starting point is 01:22:37 Thanks to ABC. It's really made it happen for them. In a single suitcase. Speaking of dreams coming true, you guys release your book, Act Like a Lady, which is super exciting. Congratulations to you guys. Yes. I have it next to me.
Starting point is 01:22:53 She has it next to her. There you go. She's showing it off. Super exciting. I actually really quickly, I had a dream about you guys the other night because I knew that we would be interviewing you guys about this book and just about your lives in general. But all three of you had George Washington hair that was like orange. And Fran was blackout drunk swab kabab.
Starting point is 01:23:19 And she couldn't even make it through the interview. It was so embarrassing and I was so embarrassed. And I just wanted you guys to know that you guys are so present in my life that you're, In my dreams. Wow. I think we need those wigs. I was just like, are you on to something? Like, these Zoom interviews, like, if we're going to do all of our book promo, like,
Starting point is 01:23:39 on Zoom, should we be in a costume every time? Yes. Yes. We just come as a different theme. Maybe I have an idea of the theme we should do. So in one of Jack's essays, she runs through a list of, like, all the guys she's dated in her life, and she's given them all, like, really great names, like, mattress Mike, the guy who never put a mattress on any.
Starting point is 01:23:59 anything other than his floor. What else? Like, cheap Chuck. Like, he always splits the bill. Yeah. Be the one of those guys on every Zoom call.
Starting point is 01:24:10 Just me? No, one of us. No, we should all choose our favorite. I love that because it's like, Fran told me to watch Middle Ditch and Schwartz on Netflix,
Starting point is 01:24:19 the improv comedy, and I watched it last night. And I just love improv and how people can just, like, come up with different characters. Because I do that. I do that in myself, like in my own mind. I pretend to be different people.
Starting point is 01:24:33 So if you guys went on Zoom and just as different people, I would highly enjoy that. Like in five minutes, if you broke out into Mattress, my character, I think that everybody is sick of watching these online interviews anyways. So it's like, we got to switch it up. What's going to make us go outside of the box? Or you could just pretend like you should all switch just who. each of you are. Like if somebody is interviewing you who like doesn't really know you are, you just change your name. So like you all have separate names on Zoom. Yes. You just pretend to be,
Starting point is 01:25:09 you just pretend to be the other person for the entire interview and I can see if that, if they notice. That's actually a really fun idea for a podcast. Maybe one episode, we should do it as another one of us. Yeah. So like the whole time. Yes. Yes. As the other person. That's so good. Guys, thank you. We're somewhere. Should we join groundlings? Yes. And then have Fran and I on and we'll act as guests, but we act as each other as well. Incredible.
Starting point is 01:25:40 And it really throws everybody off. It's a huge mind fuck. Wow. It's like an escape room. It's a podcast. Right. We're just like really trying to fuck up everybody's lives right now because everybody's so easy. Everything is so simple.
Starting point is 01:25:52 Yeah. Everybody's living such a calm life. Yeah. But I want to talk about this book because first of all, like I said, congrats to you guys. This is absolutely amazing and such an accomplishment. But I want to know where this idea came from and how it all got started. Yeah. I will be, I will be playing the part of Becca. I never wanted to write this fucking book and I still hate it. Yeah. You know, it's just one of those things that we would say so many times
Starting point is 01:26:24 on the podcast like, oh, you know, we started using these like weird words that we would make up. the Lady Gang Dictionary and we'd be like, oh, we'll put it in the dictionary, we'll put it in the dictionary. So we always had this like stupid thing where we'd come to each other and be like, I have a word, tamponia. What does that mean again? When you forget that you have a tampon up and you forget to take it out. Tampania. Did you just have Tampenia? I know. I think because I'm the one that gets Tampnesia anyways. It's like literally my word. I left one in for like four days once. Anyway, long story. And then she had sex, right? Isn't that how you found it? No, I found, no, it got pushed up because of the sex.
Starting point is 01:27:02 I was on my period. I had drunk Mexican margarita sex on a trip to Cabo and got pushed up. And then I didn't realize that it was in there and it started stanks. Stanks, that is my biggest sick. My absolute biggest fear is forgetting. Yeah. No, and no, it happens. Never had anything.
Starting point is 01:27:24 On go all, like, having two in at the same time. I stick my fingers up there and I grab around. Do you clearance? Before I put one in. I do. I do clearance chat. Oh, okay. Because I cannot deal with that pain that that would bring me.
Starting point is 01:27:44 Yeah. Well, she does not pain so much. Wide set vagina. So, you know what? Not appropriate. No. And no one. That's where I draw the line.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Thank you, Fran. How dare she? Yeah. My uterus is tilted, though. So my tampons go in sideways. Like, you know how like on the map? Here's my question, though. It's like your, here's my question, Kelty.
Starting point is 01:28:13 On the map, it's like this. Your tampons actually not going into your uterus. No, I know. No, no, no. But it's the canal. The canal, like most people's canal goes, and mine goes, I'm going to have to fact check you later on that. I don't think that's a thing.
Starting point is 01:28:29 Mine is like left favorites to the left. I had surgery once and that's what they said. I don't know if it's the canal or if it's the actual uterus, but I know that something was being favored to the left. Clearly none of us have ever had children because we would know. Really impressive knowledge of the female body guys. For the fallopian tubes where the tampon goes, I'm not sure. I just learned what a follicle was.
Starting point is 01:28:54 Did you know we have those on our ovaries? Like who, where was? with our teachers. Where were our teachers? They need better sex ed. This is a whole other conversation, but they do. They do for sure. All right, back to the book. Anyway, to the book. So we had a bout of tempdisia. And then we would just say things on the pocket. It's like, oh, we'll put it in our book. We'll put it in our book. And we had never really planned on writing a book. And then this rep, this woman named Andy, who had heard of us through like people reached out. And she was like, I think there's a book in you.
Starting point is 01:29:28 And we're like, what? And instantly, I was like, there's many books, many volumes. Oh, God. I was like, Belle and Beauty and the Beast. I got on my ladder and I swung through the library. I was like, all the stories I can tell. And then Jack was like, oh, my God, she's always been a writer. And then we had a conversation.
Starting point is 01:29:48 And then you made Becca agree to it. Yes. When there's three people, you can. Destiny's child, you know. Honestly, it would have been. a bigger pain in the ass to like agree to have a child for someone else like I would have already been done with it it would be over by now you know what I mean like two pregnancies so far it's been like two pregnancies and it's been more emotional more physically draining um yeah so i it's been a it's been a
Starting point is 01:30:15 ride now what what is emotional and physically draining about it because i'm sure there are many things but yeah well celtie's manic energy surrounding the entire book process was the most draining part of it. The her manic energy surrounding everything is really like we'll be on a group text. We haven't seen each other in months. We'll be on a group text and Jack and I will be like we can feel the mania. Like it's coming through. It's so palpable.
Starting point is 01:30:42 You guys will feel it by the end of this podcast from across the country. Like yeah, I love it. It's incredible. It really has served us only in the best way as possible until this book. I mean, I'm not going to say. that I didn't make a instantly go to Staples and buy a cork board and like gold stars and make like recipe cards of like every chapter we're going to write and then when as people turn them in, I like put a gold star next to their name because I'm a loser. It was a lot. It was it was a lot.
Starting point is 01:31:11 And also I've ever thought about being a teacher. Sorry. My mom's a teacher. That's why. No. She hates kids. So no. She can't pay attention to other people. True. I mean, here's the thing. And I think that's why the book writing process and the book is so special is that, you know, even though the three of us maybe, you know, are similar in some ways, like we are so different. And so you get all this advice and all these stories from all of our perspectives. And my essays are so me and so pathetic and like ridiculous and like anal. And then there's like Jack's essays that like, then I was on Warp tour and she's like just like free spirit like yeah man and when Becca's like here's what happened and like I you know it's just it's really cool I think that's what makes it really special actually
Starting point is 01:32:05 so it all worked out in the end one of the coolest parts about writing the book so we have like the we have our own essays and then we have a lady gang voice where it's just like our consensual is not the right word collective collective it was consensual though except for me It was two threads consensual. No, our collective, like, advice and opinions about things. But the way that we wrote that is the three of us just sat, like we were going to record a podcast and Teltu would be like, okay, breakups. Let's talk about it.
Starting point is 01:32:38 And then we'd talk about it and then kind of like, flush it out. Nope. Flush it out, yes. Yeah. From there where it was, it started. This is like so hilarious that the struggle with the word finding is so good that we're promoting a book. I do it all the time. I do it all the time. Anyways, we started like a podcast and then it became a book is where I was getting on that. But it's kind of like the three of us are
Starting point is 01:33:03 so different. But if you think about like a group of friends who have been friends for a really long time and they've spent a lot of time together, it's like within that friendship group, you kind of create this like internal bubble like governed under the same laws. So you may not follow the laws. Like some might struggle with others. And that's why you, have other girls to keep you in line. Like, you know, Kelty and I have a rule no matter what, even if you're married, you never text your significant other first. So that's like the number one lady gang rule is never text him first. Never text him first. I never abided by that rule. No. I personally think that's crazy. It is crazy. But yeah. But eagerness is a boner killer,
Starting point is 01:33:42 ladies, okay? Yeah. So we have all these things. And it's like we've created this whole society of the lady gang. And even though we're not all exactly the same, we're governed by the same. We're governed by the same laws of lady girl. I'm kind of with you on that one sometimes, but also it's a bad, I don't know, because I'm thinking like when we were in the real world and life was moving normally when I would go to work. Yes, like when I'm living with my boyfriend and his home right now when we were not doing that and would actually text each other, he would always send me like the, hey, like, good morning. text message and like on the days it literally has maybe happened a handful of times where he has
Starting point is 01:34:30 not and I've had to wait to like in the middle of the afternoon and I'm like did something happen I'm not texting you are you okay yeah and one time you was like I just wanted to see how long it would take for you to my husband my husband used to pull that shit too yeah and I was like you know what that's your job you you've been doing it and now it's become your job so what do you want for me And that's why you're currently living together right now. Hey, girl. Have that texting issue because I work with my boyfriend and I live with my boyfriend. So it's like, we're not going to text each other because.
Starting point is 01:35:05 Like sometimes we do, but see, everyone has that like, oh, feeling. But when I tell you, like, it's completely fine. But I understand that is like a very small percentage of people. It's usually not the case. It's usually not the case at all. Usually not the case at all, so I feel very blessed that it is the case that, like, we still are, like, obsessed with each other, but we see each other all day long. But look at Dr. Phil and his wife. You know what I mean? She's been to every taping of the Dr. Phil. Okay, but aren't the rumors that Dr. Phil is cheated on his wife? I mean, I wasn't going to bring that up at this moment.
Starting point is 01:35:40 But where does he find time to cheat on her? Exactly. And she's constantly around. She's constantly around. Still be there. True. There'll be rumors about any famous person cheating. So, it doesn't shock me there's rumors about Dr. Phil cheating. True. True. Who's making up rumors about doctor? Well, and anybody, also like any guy that has a show named Dr. Phil who's actually not a medical doctor is a cheater in itself. Yeah, he's a like a cheater. He's just a cheater. Isn't it the same thing with Dr. Oz? Isn't he not a doctor either? No, he's a doctor. He's a doctor. Yeah. I have a quick question that I just, I want to just bring up because I don't want to forget. Before the end of this
Starting point is 01:36:19 podcast. Can we talk about Joe Jonas's, Joe Jonas's, Joe Jonas's body shape? That's all. We've talked about Joe Jonas as well. We can talk about it now. Fran brought it up this morning. So, Fran, go ahead. Okay. Wait, is this a new thing? This is a new paparazzi photo. I think five. I will preface this. I'm going to go back and look. Everyone, you guys, and the three of you are well aware of my love for the Jonas brothers. Yes. And this picture came out and whatever. Joe and Sophie, everybody freaked out because Sophie's clearly pregnant. And my friends sent it back and forth. And immediately, I didn't even think, like, I was so focused on Sophie.
Starting point is 01:37:00 And then my friend was like, I really love that Joe is jumping on this sympathy, pregnancy, weight situation. And I was like, oh, no. But he, I think because, I'll say this, I think because of the height situation between the two of them, like, because they are evenly matched. it makes him look frumpier than all of those Jonas boys are squatty they're all they got big thighs and they're all squatty and let me tell you I love big thighs I hate a big thigh she does needy leg I do no all my girlfriends have had huge size there's a difference though
Starting point is 01:37:43 they have three thighs but they also have hips men with that's a whole nother world. So are we saying is we talking about this the pop-recy shot when he's in a red shirt? Yes. It's not even the weight or whatever. It's the from the belt to the knee,
Starting point is 01:38:04 this is my least favorite body type on a man. And I've seen that before. There's just something about it. It's like, they look like ladies. That's what I look like in a skinny gym. Ria. Is it that literally? Joe. Like, I know that's Joe Jonas, but my boyfriend's name is also Joe. And, like,
Starting point is 01:38:23 that is Joe. My boyfriend. I'm sorry, Joe. Does he have a, a thinner calf and, like, a thick thigh? It goes down to triangle. He's an athlete. He was an athlete. And he is, like, he has big thighs, but he's, but the rest, like, he's got a bigger upper body. He's strong. That's how my boyfriend is. He's very dense and, like, stocky and sturdy. And he has, and he's got a big ass, so. That was one of the first things we've also had this conversation. Yeah. I'm looking at your boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:38:56 I notice a male's butt. I do. I like a butt too. Went to the first picture of you standing with a guy on Instagram. And it's Ron Weasley. Yeah. And I was like, oh, oh. Jack knows how I feel.
Starting point is 01:39:13 I read the book. I read the book. I know what you wrote about Ron in there. No. Your boyfriend has a, your boyfriend has. Your boyfriend has a different body type. It's more athletic. Oh, see that, but he's tall.
Starting point is 01:39:23 He's cute. See, his leg to calf, his thigh to calf ratio is correct. This is the, he has a big thigh. Joe Jonas is like 5, 6. He's very small. And yeah, right. My boyfriend is like 6'1. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:39:38 Also, the problem, the problem with this. The problem with this photo is the type of a gene as well. It's just not. Lightwash is never. Listen, you guys, it's short. Forgiving on men. It's just. Like wash is tough.
Starting point is 01:39:53 A short person problem. No, it's just a short person problem. Short people don't look good in all clothing. You have to be very specific, which is why when we have a photo shoot and Jack, the 5-9 person is the one that's the pickiest about what she's willing to put on her body. She goes through, she leaves us the scraps to choose from. And I'm like, do you know? what it's like being a troll. Five foot three. I am Joe Jonas, okay? Put me in the wrong
Starting point is 01:40:24 gene and every, and the world will die. I'm, I'm with you, Becca, 100%. I don't wear skinny jeans anymore. I'm actually very, very against the skinny gene. That is why I have turned to baggy jeans, baggy pants with small tops. I am all about that move. Kelty shaking your head. I don't care. No, no, no. No, I'm about that. I'm shaking it. I'm shaking it. Oh, shaking it. Yes. Okay. I thought the movement from side to side. I said, no, but whatever. The skinny, the skinny gene, it just, it looks bad on some people. And I'm one of those people. If I see a photograph of myself in a skinny gene, I think I look very weird. So I'm sorry, Joe Jonas. I'm not a fan of a skinny gene on most people, unless it's like a supermodel. It's a very, it's a very hard look for anybody to pull off. It's tough. Anybody over 30 and anyone under 510. There you go. So supermodels. But accurate.
Starting point is 01:41:20 So Gigi had eaten. So Kyga Gerber. Yeah. Yeah. Checks out. Checks out. What each of you, what was your favorite topic to write about in this book? Myself.
Starting point is 01:41:39 I think that the collective topics about like our rules and how to operate as a lady just in general. My favorite thing that we could ever put in writing was like, your wedding day is the most important day to you and no one else. So stop pretending like everyone else needs to care as much about your wedding. Just like stuff like that where through the years of all these crazy friendships, like enough is enough. Like we were finally able to be like, you're an asshole. If you celebrate a birthday month or a birthday week, you're an asshole.
Starting point is 01:42:13 Like having permission to put that in writing and like say that's the law. controversial opinions. It feels incredible. That definitely is a great feeling to feel like I do think your opinions are validated, but to actually be like, this is going in a book. So that means this shit is real. Can't take it back. Can't take it back. No, and on top of those, we, so the last section in our book is about friends. So we got to talk a lot about adult friendships because that's such a hard thing for a lot of women to go through that we don't really talk about. There's so much loneliness as you get older. So it's like how to put your friends in the right lanes where you're
Starting point is 01:42:51 not going to really rely on your like happy hour party friend to pick you up from the airport or to cry on their shoulder. And it's like kind of putting everybody in their right lanes and being able to find good people in your adulthood. And like setting the right expectations for those people. Like you don't have to write people off because they aren't like your ride or die friends. But like just knowing who that girl is and what she's good for and like being okay with that. definitely. I really enjoyed, and I've recently gone through some photos to find some backdrop. I've had a lot of jobs in my life. And one of my, we have a chapter about work. And so I was talking about we, I think we each did essay on our like first jobs and how we kind of like started working. Shitty jobs we hated. Yeah, shitty jobs we hated. And mine was being a chicken bone breaker at like a chicken place because you have to break the thigh. before you put... Let me tell you, that was pretty a graphic chapter. Like, all the things you guys, all the things you guys talked about in the book when it comes to, like, your body and life and everything.
Starting point is 01:43:53 And, like, the only time that I was like, oh, was Kelty discussing how she was picking feathers out of chickens. I was like, wow. You know what I'm having for lunch? Chicken sandwich. Yeah. Like, oh, shit. Look what I recently unearthed. Here's when I was a...
Starting point is 01:44:11 What are you prepared these photos for this? No, I just had them sitting here because I want to give them to our social team. Look at this. That's me when I was a magician's assistant. Are you in the end? Yeah. Which one is you? Are you wearing a hard hat?
Starting point is 01:44:23 Are you wearing a hard hat? That is just so much. Is that your face? It doesn't look like you. It doesn't look like you. Oh, it looks like you have one of those plastic masks on that have all the makeup on the mask already. Yes. Just like Pamela Anderson.
Starting point is 01:44:41 Yeah. That's what a spooky I can do for you. Yeah, he made a, he made an air, oh, no, this is for the slice. Didn't you have sex with that magician? Sure. Or was it a different magician. Look at what's on the hat. It's the slicer.
Starting point is 01:44:55 Wait, oh, the slicer, like for the cutting in half box. Yeah, when the woman cuts in half. Yeah. Ooh. Anyway. So that was one of my favorite parts because I think everyone's like, how do I become you? And I was like, not, well, not me particularly, but we get a lot. of messages. I'm sure you guys do too. Like, I want to have a podcast. I want to do my own thing.
Starting point is 01:45:16 How did you start? I'm like, I started breaking chicken bones at the fire. Fucking musician or magicians and musicians. She fucked magicians and musicians. And he must be a man. Yep. Yep. The book, I really loved reading all of it. I thought it was hilarious. And I also thought like all the illustrations and stuff are really cool. It's almost like Kelty put like a little workbook inside the book, which is super fun. Did you do it? Did you manifest? I feel like it's something I have to save that for maybe the end of the year.
Starting point is 01:45:53 Or like, until three more months of quarantine? Yeah. Yeah. Like I need this to end and like real life to go back to real life when I can actually think of like doing real things in my life besides being in my home and being in a house. wait, I also really love, and you guys have always been super open about this, but you guys have always been pretty open about Hollywood and how like, if you think that a celebrity has gotten work done,
Starting point is 01:46:20 she probably has, and people aren't very open about it, they don't like to talk about it, and you guys did like full illustrations of like everything you've done to your faces. Yes. And first of all, the illustrations are beautiful. Like you, like, your faces are stuff. in these drawings. Art, our artists.
Starting point is 01:46:41 We gave the best pictures that we could possibly find of us. And then we had an amazing illustrator. Yes. Brat bow to the illustrator because Ria and I have had like drawings of us done at work. Either we did a plane, like Barstle did a playing card. I got to find this shit. We've had murals. Like they drew murals up on the wall in our new office.
Starting point is 01:47:02 And I mean, they were really bad. Like really bad. It's easy to mess up. always pick the one thing that you're like insecure about in your face and then just make it like you have like the biggest nose in the world or whatever yeah yeah my nose is huge in this thing I really really I you guys have always been open about that I love that and like great illustrations really good stuff um rare are you finding can you find that I have this picture it's kind of like a slanted view but you can zoom in on it also I have a question I think I have a screen on it also
Starting point is 01:47:34 so since you guys have been talking about like the work you've had done. I've never had any work done, but something I'm thinking about. And I'm, I'm still pretty young, so I don't do it. Guys, Ria is not, Ria is 22. No, Ria, I have, I remember I have messaged you being like, you better not fucking touch your face. I will never touch, like, my lips or anything like that, but I have the worst under eyebags. Like, I've concealer on right now, so you can't really see it. But, like, they're really terrible. And I think about it all the time. I'm like, should I just get that under eye filler? But then I think about how, I think it's just my jeans.
Starting point is 01:48:12 And I don't think that's going to like fill the gap. I think it's just because I'm Italian. And it also might be the shape of your face. Like some faces just can't do it because then you end up having like the teeny eyes. Oh my God. Are you Van der Waite? That does not even look like you guys. That is so shocking.
Starting point is 01:48:27 You guys are like 45 year old women that work at the office. Oh, you guys. That's up in our office as a giant mural. Oh, no. We'll give you our illustrator's name. It's Wesley, right? Wesley Bird. Wesley Bird and she can come and fix that shit right up.
Starting point is 01:48:44 Yeah, she should have to do some stuff there whenever you go back to the office. She's amazing. Yeah. But do you want me to tell you about the under eye because I had it done? I would love to hear about it. It can go bad real fast. Yeah. I had a black eye for six weeks.
Starting point is 01:48:56 Yeah. Straight six weeks. So the truth is that I think that it's like mostly discoloration that. probably bothers you more than like the bags like if that you know and they can't do anything about the discoloration so if you think about it if you fill it it's still going to be gray like that yeah one time i asked dr diamond about it and that's what he told me he's like i can fill it for sure but you're still gonna have that's what gives people fill her face yeah i think that's why i should not do it because that's the uh thing i was worried about was the fact that it wouldn't be able to
Starting point is 01:49:32 fix it and it's just the fact that i'm italian and have those genes so that answer is my question. So it like Kardashian West bake set like she has a concealer bake and then Brighton, boom. But listen. I never bought like a Kardashian makeup product. So I think maybe maybe that could be my first one. It's time. I mean, once you hit 30, it's going to be, there's going to be so much shit to fix on your face. So like really enjoy it now. Like no one is no one is going to be exempt from that rule. Like I've never looked at anybody who's hit 30 and been like, you know what? you're perfect, don't change. So right now, enjoy it. You're perfect. You're perfect. You'll just start to see things droop. But stay out of the sun. Like, that's number one.
Starting point is 01:50:18 See, I bet you, you know, she's Italian. I think she's fine. She's fine. Yeah. I like to, I like to be out there. I like to get the sun. Soak it up, babe. Soak it up. Yeah. Yeah. She can probably make that work. Yeah. You know what, guys, thanks. You've made me feel a lot I will refrain from getting the under-eye filler at 22 years old. Thank God. We needed your expertise because I've told her a billion times, but my opinion. Well, I started in Botox at 24. 23 for me.
Starting point is 01:50:50 Yeah. Okay. So I'm not at 8. Botox is very different. No, Botox is different than filler. Botox doesn't change anything on your face. It literally just freezes muscles so you can't make certain expressions that create wrinkles. So like filler, when you go into that territory, it gets real scary because you can think right.
Starting point is 01:51:09 Yeah, that's a slippery slope. And also, it's like it depends on your face shape too. Like one of my girlfriends is 34 and she just doesn't get wrinkles on her forehead. Yeah. So it just depends. That's cool. That's cool. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:51:22 That's cool. It's nice. Happy for your life. You guys are all such beautiful special snowflakes. Yeah. You know what? That really felt good. and I think you are a beautiful special snowflake as well.
Starting point is 01:51:36 There's a reason that you didn't recognize me in my magic costume because that's a different face. Pamela Anderson. This is what I looked like when I was poor. I got a job and I started injecting myself and now I look like when I met you. And now she looks like Stephen Tyler. Yeah. I was just thinking of people Kelty looks like to like bring this all around. Unfortunately, we're going to have to end soon because we have an interview at 530.
Starting point is 01:52:00 But I want to talk about this before we wrap up. the last time you guys came to the office and we interviewed guys. We had a blast and we put up a picture on Instagram and there was like one comment from a troll. No, no, no. There were so many comments. Multiple. There were dozens. I mean, when I saw that that that ended up in the book, I was like, like, there's just one line about like, and then you have shit days.
Starting point is 01:52:27 Like when Kelty was called Stephen Tyler. I was like, oh, no. But you guys need to understand. You have to understand, and you put it on your TV show too, which thank you. But you have to understand that the people who follow Barstool, like we have chicks in the office listeners who are not also, you know, they just follow chicks in the office, but there's also people who follow chicks in the office and Barstool. The way these people comment about things is so different than, I mean, not so different.
Starting point is 01:52:56 The internet sucks altogether, but they just like to go a little bit further sometimes. So as soon as I saw that, I was like, no, no, but I appreciate that you guys were laughing. You know what? I'm just going to, I'll button this by saying that months later, years later, we were in New York for our little book party, which you came to. You were sick. And I was, I had wavy hair and I was in a red dress. And I took a picture with like the big poster cover of our book.
Starting point is 01:53:22 And I was like feeling really beautiful. And I posted on my personal Instagram, which doesn't have the barstool or the whatever, like trolls. Yes. It has the people who have clicked, I want to follow this woman. And someone wrote, oh, your hair like that really leans into the Stephen Tyler thing. It's not just your fans. It's everyone.
Starting point is 01:53:42 I have what. Stephen Tyler is a beautiful man. I have to say Stephen Tyler looks fucking great. He looks good. And if you, Kelty, I know that you're in on TikTok and the TikTok trends, they say, you know, you look like the people you share birthday with. I share birthday with Stephen Tyler. Maybe I also look like Steven Tyler. Who knows what's going to happen in your 30s?
Starting point is 01:54:03 You know what I mean with those under-eye bags? The world is your oyster. Right into Stephen Tyler when she was a magician's assistant. So anything can change. True. Oh, man. Guys, thank you so much for coming and talking to us.
Starting point is 01:54:16 And we're excited for everybody to get act like a lady. It's on sale June 2nd. I have my pre-ordered. So I'm excited to get mine in the mail. Because, you know, the one I got. doesn't have any color. I'm going to say, lying because you have one next to you.
Starting point is 01:54:35 No, no, I mean, this is the one that I got at the book party. And the illustrations aren't colored, and I want them colored. You can spare them. Not the full experience. Yeah, exactly, exactly. And everyone can pre-order them right now,
Starting point is 01:54:49 write, like, available wherever books are sold, as they say. Perfect. Thanks, guys. Thanks for having us. Thank you, guys. Stay healthy. You too. Hopefully we see you guys.
Starting point is 01:55:00 In person soon. Yes, please. Bye, guys. Bye, guys. Bye. Stephen out. All right, that wraps up today's episode of Chicks in the Office. We thank you guys for listening.
