Every night, I go to bed and I put on big little lies because I'm bench watching big little lies right now. And I just like slowly fade into a deep, wonderful sleep. And the first time I tried them, because I do partake in the weeds smoking activity quite often. So I've never really got into CBD. I'm like, why am I going to do anything with CBD? Or like I've tried it, but I'm like, oh, I don't really feel anything.

You know what I mean? I actually, when I talk about putting CBD on my back, I used to do that all the time because that too actually really does help because my back always hurts and CBD helps my back. But as for like taking it in, you know, I'm just like, I'm going to smoke weed. Like, I just smoke weed before bed, and that makes me happy, and I fall asleep. This little concoction, I'm loving it.

Like I said, floating on a cloud every single night. That's fantastic. I just feel at peace. Like I said, watching Big Little Eyes. Great show. I'm sure everyone has seen it by now. Yeah. But if you have a...

I mean, I watched The Sopranos a billion years too late. So yeah, that's very, very true. You know what we watched and we did not talk about it? Or you had watched and then watched again with me, dead to me. Oh, yes. We never really discussed. it and I gotta say it was fantastic. Yes, Fran. We did watch Dead to Me. Binge watched it with you after I had watched it already when it first came out and then the second season came out recently

and I kept telling Fran, you gotta watch Dead to Me. Finally, when we were together, I got you to sit down and watch Dead to Me and I want to know your official thoughts because I know you liked it because I was sitting there with you, but I want to know how much you really liked it. Oh, I thought it was great. I think that those two ladies, Christina Applegate and Linda Carlyne, were phenomenal, so good. They're like a duo that just was fantastic.

So I feel like they, regardless of some of maybe like the plot that was interesting, the acting was just so good that I think it puts it over the top even more. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a phenomenal show, and I am a sucker for James Marsden. Anything James Marston does. He's one of those ones that, you know, Rhea, like, you know how my mom is. Like, James Marzen was just one of those guys that for me and my mom, too. Oh, anything he was in, we were watching 27 dresses, enchanted.

Yeah, he's great, and he was great in the show, and I'm really happy to like it because, you know, there's no better feeling then. suggesting a show to somebody or whatever it is to somebody and them really liking it. It's like I succeeded at something. Totally. Absolutely. And you know what's funny is I was gone for a couple days. So I got Joe to not not even that I got him. He did it on his own, started watching Outer Banks on his own because I think we had been so obsessed with it. He was like, this show's probably stupid. And he started on his own and he, like, he started on his own and he, like, he likes it. Just like everybody else who starts the show.

They're like, oh, what's Outer Bain? Stupid teen drama? And then all of a sudden they watch the show and they can't take their eyes off of it and they fall in the in Sarah Cameron, which is where I'm sure he's at right now. Exactly. I will say that now watching some of the episodes over again with him,

Chase has got to go, Chase has got to go back to the haircut. The exact haircut from the show. show. That's all I got it. That's all I'm going to say. I won't pile on too much, but I 100,000 trillion billion, billion, petillion, agree. Yeah. That statement. I don't want to pile on our guy Chase Stokes, but sorry. Yeah. I keep telling. Hello? People are probably like on their laptop or on their phones like, what's going on? Um, yeah, that, that shit has to be chopped off, but moving on.

You won't pile on too much. Yeah. I thought something else that I wanted to say, but it totally slipped my mind. So I guess that's really it on catching up with us, nothing too crazy. Yeah. I think we can get into the topics, Fran. Sounds good. Get into the topics.

Katelyn and Dean clear up whether they're married or not on the Bachelor greatest of all time Ben Higgins season that premiered on Monday, so we'll talk about that. So let's get into it, starting off with Timothy Shalame. We have a new couple alert. Timothy Shalame and Isaac Gonzalez were spotted on vacation. Now, Timothy Shalame isn't somebody who we frequently talk about on this podcast, a little dating background for him. He dated Lily Rose Depp for a while. And honestly, girls are fucking obsessed with Timothy Shalemay. Personally, he doesn't really tickle my fancy that much, but when I'm on TikTok and I scroll, all I do is see TikTok's about Timothy Shalemay and people grinding up on him and just wanting to fuck Timothy Shalemate so bad. And

apparently, Isaac Gonzalez does as well. Beautiful, beautiful woman. She's an actress. To put it best, you would probably know Isaac Gonzalez as the woman who wore the yellow gown at the Golden Globes that everybody freaked out about. I think it was 2018 when this happened and everyone was like, oh my God,

who's that woman in this yellow dress? Everyone's wearing a certain color. She's wearing yellow. It's Isaac Gonzalez. And now her and T. Zalemi are living it up on vacation. Kissing, rubbing, all of it. It's it's crazy. This is like, when I saw this headline, I was, I was floored because it is a

absolutely random, random situation. Like, also, I'm looking back at the pictures of the dress. It was the Oscars. No, it was the Oscars, but you are right that it was 2018. And it was crazy. That moment was crazy and, you know, she's had, she's been rumored to have like a little situation with Liam Hemsworth. And so

these two unlikely match. Never, never would have never would have guessed it. But like you said, there's something about Timothy that girls salivate over. My little sister loves

him, obsessed. I think it has a lot to do with just like the roles he has in movies and like the way he is in movies I feel like people really like but yeah I don't know I'm looking at his IMDB right now because I don't think I've ever seen a movie with Timothy in it I gotta be honest oh you never saw Lady Bird right I never saw Lady Bird yeah although someone I know is in it and I've always said I would watch it

But I haven't yet. So I should do that. I think it's on Netflix. It is on Netflix. In Little Women, which people loved, call me by your name, which people love. All these great movies that I haven't seen. Maybe that is why I don't feel the love for Timothy that other people do feel. I will say that when I, like I said, I scroll on TikTok, I see all these TikToks about Timothy.

But then I also see TikToks where people will like shit on. girls who like Timothy, but they also shit on girls who, they like clump Timothy and Harry Siles together. And they're like, if you like these men and then they just show pictures of Timothy and Harry Siles. And I'm just like, how are we even putting Timothy Shalame and Harry Siles in the same sentence? That to me makes zero sense. And I'm not, I'm not saying that people shouldn't like Timothy Shalamee because I think if I were to watch the movies, maybe I would, would be cast under his spell as well. All it takes is a little personality for me to be roped in.

So I think that I would probably like Timothy if I watched his movies. But I just don't understand it only took you one Harry Styles concert. So. Oh my God. It took me one Harry Styles song to be like, I'm in love with this man. Watch the movie Hot Summer Nights and I think you'll change your mind. Okay. All right.

I'll watch that. I'm open to it. I want to be taken off my feet by Timothy Shalame, just like everyone else. I'm trying to see what Isaac Gonzalez sees. Yes. I'm sure he's... Yes, I've watched a few interviews with him. He is very charming.

I also think he has a cool style, which a lot of girls are attracted to. Like, every time I see him on a red carpet, he's always got like a funky, cool look going. And he's just kissing Isaac Gonzalez in Mexico. and it's the paparazzi photos are fantastic. It slightly has like, I'm on vacation, like, with my hot babysitter vibes, but it works. I don't know, it just works, I guess. I will say that he looks like he would be a bad kisser,

just from the pictures. Really? I would say opposite. No, I think that he maybe is great, at sex, but when it comes to the physical act of making out. Now this is, now we're getting inappropriate, but I'm just strictly, look, basing off these paparazzi pictures I've seen of Timothy Chalame and Lily Rose Depp, I think you know the ones I'm talking about where they're eating all those faces. From that moment on, I've now been under the impression that Timothy Shalame is not a great kisser. But if he's with Isaac Gonzalez, he's got to be doing something right, whether it's

kissing, whether it's fucking, whether it's just Timothy Salome. as a human being. Yeah. I know we've kind of straight away from like the big dick energy vibes and like the situation that we know ever,

we had to talk so much about that. Timothy Shalmay has, has BDE. He does. Absolutely. You cannot be walking around on vacation with Isaac Gonzalez

and say that man doesn't have big dick energy. Yeah. He's so in these, I just want everyone to look at these pictures. They're just, they're just funny and that's no trying to say that with no shade they are funny totally i also notice isa i guess has two and maybe it's more i don't know because obviously they're in

mexico they're on their bathing suits she has tattoos star tattoos it looks like really in the in the private part area like it was like right on her like right on her bikini line and I can't think of a more painful spot to get a tattoo. Really? Like I would get a tattoo, maybe not besides like the face, but I feel like every other part of my body besides that. Because I just think of how I like writhe in pain even when I just get like a bikini wax. And to think about like a straight up needle down there. Yeah. I'm more. of like the tickling aspect like I and just like I like you know when you get a pedicure and they're rubbing your feet yeah yeah the cac what is it the uh callus remover I was gonna say the cactus

remover the callus remover and they're rubbing the ends of your feet with it and you're just like giggling so much I just feel like that's what would happen if I got a tattoo near my vagina but it works for Iza I feel like there are plenty of more painful places though got to be on this like where there's like an actual bone like I think that that's more I think it's just more sensitive more sensitive skin our vagina and it's getting yeah well I'm just thinking about it I just I don't know for sure and I'm sure maybe our listeners out there somebody has to have a tattoo near their vagina and they can tell us but I'm thinking like your collarbone yeah where there's an actual bone, right, right, right.

Would hurt more than just like, you know, fluffy skin. I don't know fluffy skin was the right word. Fluffy skin. It's a kind of a beautiful way to describe a vagina. It's a bunch of fluffy skin. Yeah, you're not wrong. So I don't know.

I would be curious as to, you know, I know. I guess it's just the hair, like the hair removal thought is what I connected it to. I guess it's kind of a different experience. Yeah. You're pulling hair out of your skin. Yeah, yeah, but it's worse, that's the worst spot.

Yes, yes. For hair removal. Different for tattoos. Yeah, yeah, that's fair. That's fair. Anyway, Timothy and Isa. There. And a good look at those tattoos.

Yeah, yeah. There's a bit of an, I don't. Everyone kind of, was locked in on like an age difference between them too, but it's not that crazy. She's six years older than him. I do find it a bit, she's only 30 and he's 20, very young. Yeah. I do find it a bit cougarish on her part to go after the young, the young buck Timothy

Chalameh. Right, right, right, right. She could date Brad Pitt and she's telling younger. Yeah. Like I think if I'm 30 and I'm Isaac Gonzalez, I'm shooting for the stars older. Maybe. I'm going Brad Pitt. I'm going Chris Evan. Yeah, yeah. But maybe younger is just the way to go, you know? Like I, my grandma, you know, she loves my grandpa very, very much, very, very much. But he is six or seven years older than she is. And as they have gotten older, she has been like, Francesca, I'm telling you, find a younger man.

Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. So, and it's thinking like Hank is like 27. I'm 22. I'm going to be 20. Yeah. I mean, it's a, it's a, it's a bad way to think when you're like 82 and 87 to like, be like, that's insane. No, but. No, but. I mean, she's just always, you know, she's just always, she's just always, she's, yes. She's very lively and very active. And, you know, my, my, my grandpa has, has aged faster than she has.

So she's like, if I had someone younger, she's a lot more, a lot more things to do. But like I said, she says it very tongue and cheat. She loves my grandpa very much. But, like, there was one time, there was one time when I was kind of dating a boy that was a little bit, not, like, not a lot younger. It was like a year younger than me. And she was like. And Jessica.

She was like thumbs up. Oh my gosh. I don't think I've ever dated somebody younger than me. Only older. Yeah. I don't even know. It's really not that different. When it's like a year, it's not really not different at all.

No, that sounds like you're just about the same age to be. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. But yeah, this relationship, I can't say I see them heading for marriage, but they're definitely having fun. A good summer fling. So we haven't talked about the Kardashians in a little bit, I think. I think it's been a few podcasts since we brought them up.

So now we've got to talk about all things Courtney Kardashians. There's a lot going on. Scott and Courtney, they have been hanging out more, it seems, ever since Scott and Sophia broke up. We see them commenting flirty things on Instagram. And on top of just Courtney and Scott, I'm also seeing a lot of Courtney Kardashian and Addison Ray. I don't know why. It's kind of, you know, oh, excuse me. It's kind of strange to me considering

Addison Ray is even younger than I am. I think she's 19 and Courtney Kardashian is 40 years old. And they just seem like they're besties. Maybe they do have a good friendship and maybe they're having fun. But now that brings Mason Disick into the picture because now he's jumping in some more TikToks. Right. Courtney, I think Courtney has really done a impressive job of having friends across the age spectrum. I feel like she kept a lot of her friends from growing up, but you see her closest girlfriends that, you know, she went to high school with or college with, that she's still really close who aren't necessarily famous. But then she has the young squad, like she hangs out with Kendall and all of Kendall's friends. And,

And now she's in, you know, all these TikToks and also probably winning her like mom of the year award to have that relationship with Addison and then Madison can get into these TikToks. I will say that it has been a while. And I did see a tweet recently. I think it might have been betches, I'm not sure, who had just tweeted like it's been it's been a little too long since our late last Kardashian scandal. like what's what are they cooking up because it's it's been a long time since something really massive happened but Courtney what they really the next thing that it could be it would be if Courtney and Scott I feel like announced like it got back together or if they did had like some shotgun wedding or something I'm so rooting for Courtney Kardashian and Scott to stick to just say fuck it you know what we're going to going to get married and we're just going to do what we've been talking about doing for years.

Although, I don't know if that's going to happen. I think that there's a lot of, you know, behind the scene stuff we don't know. Obviously, a lot of baggage with their relationship. They've had so many ups and downs and they do have three kids together. So I think that really bonds them. And it just seems like they can never escape each other. You know, we don't know for sure why Scott and Sophia. broke up, but if I had to guess Scott's mind, or what I want to think happen, is that Scott's mind

is just on Courtney Kardashian way too much. And maybe Courtney will finally be like, you know what, Scott, I want you. I don't want Eunice. I don't want these 20-year-olds. I want Scott Dissick. And then we can watch a beautiful Scott and Courtney family reunion show and just be so happy watching them together, although this is just a dream because, like I said, it really is a dream. Too much baggage. We don't know what will happen with them. As for Addison and Courtney Kardashian hanging out, I think that, you know, you're right, Courtney Kardashian, she hangs a lot with Kendall's friends. I think she's just trying to keep herself young, which fair enough, I would do the same thing as she should. She's super famous, super hot. She's 40 years old, but at this point,

why should their age matter? You know, they're all in one place, Holly. would. I feel like the lines are so blurred when it comes to when they get older and people who are friends, you know, you can be 25, friends with a 45 year old. And nobody's really blinking their eye because I guess you have, you have things that you bond over or whatever it may be. Maybe Courtney Kardashian helps Addison Ray deal with this newfound fame that she has because we have seen Courtney Kardashian talk about not liking being famous and wanting a private life and wanting downtime. So maybe that's something. And of course, you add Mason into the mix. He loves TikTok. We've seen it before. It got banned. Now he's put back or whatever he may be put back on. But now he's

just in the background of their TikTok. So I feel like it works for everyone. We also see David Doberra going to Courtney Kardashian's house as well. I just think it's once you reach the level of a certain fame, you automatically become friends with the Kardashians. The Kardashians will reach out to you and they will induct you into their little, you know, friend group. And that's it. Then you've officially made it. Once you get invited by the Kardashians, you have made it in your career. Right. It's like Addison, who would turn that down? Right. And if you have, you know, Addison making TikToks and all of a sudden you have somebody reaching out to be like, oh, do you want to go over to Courtney's house and hang out and make some videos? obviously, obviously you're doing it.

And like you were saying, worry about the age thing, once you're older, it totally doesn't matter at all, I feel like, I think of, like housewives, like Beverly Hills,

like all season, everybody's been freaking out about Kyle and Teddy and how they're like best friends and, you know, their best friends, their best friends. And nobody really cares

because that, you know, Kyle is obviously older than Teddy, but it's, not once you reach that point, ooh, flying air pod. Once you, once you reach that point, it really doesn't, like, it really doesn't matter when you just like obviously have things in common. Your moms, you have the same group of friends. It all works out. But I want to, I want to go back to the Courtney and Scott thing for a second because obviously everybody did

freak out when they saw the, you know, Scott's comment and Courtney wearing the blue flannel shirt that's, that seems like it was Scott's shirt and there's pictures of Scott in it and Courtney's in it. You know, Scott's out a commenting cute shirt on her Instagram, which is like such a playful fun comment anyway because obviously I'm sure they saw everybody freak out about the flannel shirt. So there she is in a different flannel. shirt and Scott's like, ha ha, cute shirt, you know, but it's just any interaction between the two of them is going to move the needle forever. It just is. I think it's like the comments by celebs girls who, you know, who we love and I feel like they have just this same feeling about Courtney

and Scott as we do where if there's any interaction, obviously they have it captured, which they did with Scott's comment, but it'll forever have people interested because I think forever everybody's going to want to see them together. As you all know, Franon and I spend a ton of time on our phones, watching TV, on our computers, whatever it is, we're probably looking at a screen. And I'm assuming you guys are doing the same thing too, especially with, you know, quarantine and staying inside. Everyone's been, you know, just scrolling on their phone all day long,

and block out that blue light. So we did not watch, or at least I did not watch the full Ben Higgins recap on Monday night for The Bachelor Greatest, of all time. But we did get a few exciting things from that. Obviously, you know, Fran, you said you watched it and just looking back and seeing how nice of a guy Ben Higgins really is. And we've had

him on the show before. And he just really is just a nice guy, just a sweet guy. One thing I did see was that they played his proposal. They did not play Caitlin's proposal. I'm confused about that. I still wanted to see Caitlin's proposal. I don't know why they chose not to play that. But they played Ben's, and we got to see an update from Kalin and Dean. Yeah, it was three hours of just a reminder of how nice of a guy Ben Higgins is. That really is like the whole thing. You watch the season, he had a great season. He's just a really kind, caring guy.

Obviously, everybody freaked out about him saying, I love you to two girls. And looking back on it, it was crazy. It was really crazy at the time. And I remember still not being that upset about it because he was so honest about it. Like, it still felt genuine. When he said, I am in love with two women, everybody was like, okay, we believe you. There was really no big ever, like hatred towards Ben Higgins, obviously. It was really just a reminder of what a nice guy.

He is coming back on to talk to Olivia Carready and having that conversation. But yes, probably the biggest part of it was these updates that they're getting from other couples, you know, Chris Harrison's video chatting. And Caitlin and Dean popped in. It's been about a year now since Paradise and everything that went down. And they talked about the rings that they wear on, you know, their ring finger that made everybody think that they're married. and they just want everybody to know that they are 100% committed to each other, no matter what,

and that's what the ring symbolize. That's what I figured was going to happen. I didn't really see Dean jumping on the get married right away and secretly bandwagon. Like, I just don't see Dean signing an official document yet, maybe years and years down the line. He'll write his name and sign across the dotted line. But as for right now, I don't see any issue with them just, you know, being in love, being committed to each other, showing each other that they're committed. At the end of the day, you know, obviously people love, when they love somebody, they want to

get married to them. But I don't think that you have to. You know what I mean? Like, it's really at the end of, and at the end of the day, they're making the same commitment to each other as they would if they were walking down the aisle and getting married and signing a few papers. They're still committed to each other, which is awesome. And I just, I think they're becoming one of my favorite Bachelor Nation couples to watch. It just seems like Kaylin has really changed from the beginning of when we started watching her. I just get a totally different vibe from her.

I feel like she's just so sweet and nice and caring and she wants to change the world. And it seems like she's really enjoying going on adventures with Dean. And Dean seems to have grown up as well. we've seen him jump through a lot of relationships, not really wanting to commit to anybody. But it's been a full year now of Kaelin and Dean together, traveling around the van, even quarantining together. And they just seem so happy and in love and they make cute videos. And I'm just really, really rooting for them.

Exactly. They, you know, Chris had asked, like, can we put you guys in the, in the win column as a successful, as, you know, a Bachelor's Success story. And they were like, yeah, absolutely. Dean, I think, spoke really well about it because we've never really heard Dean speak like this. So that's just an upgrade in itself for Dean to be like, my, you know, my devotion to her is unwavering and our commitment to each other. And we're in this for the long haul.

And like you said, they have just, I think, rubbed off on each other really, really well. where they're each experiencing new things because of the other's interests and activities that they're doing and Kalen's getting out of her comfort zone and so is Dean. So it's really great to see because I feel like a lot of people probably did not expect this from them. At the beginning, I definitely didn't. Like when they left Paradise, I was like, all right, we'll see.

but they are fully committed. Yeah, exactly. I feel like everyone had that same thought when they left Paradise, like, will this happen? I kind of had a strong feeling about it considering Kailen did leave. It wasn't that she stayed and wanted to be on the show. Still, I think her leaving showed

how much she really liked Dean and wanted to be with him. I'm more shocked on Dean's end that she has stayed so committed and loyal and, you know, just wanting to be better in the relationship sense. So I think, I think these two have a very strong chance of making it. I hate when I see people just being like,

oh, can't wait for the day. These two break up because we know what's happening because we know Dean. I am feeling confident that this is a different relationship for both of them. Yeah, I feel like it's been nice to just take a step back and kind of relax and not constantly be going nonstop and like, you know, in Ciesstasy Ki, we're always drinking and partying. This reminds me of Entourage, season 3A and 3B, two best seasons, whatever. the first part of the season ended and we saw Alex finding out about Alyssa being pregnant and then this one started off with you letting Alyssa know that you fucked Alex multiple times I'm sorry to put it so wrong to you to say but you to see the two happening at the same time

but you guys, you not knowing that she's pregnant and you trying to convince her that it's happening, what was your reaction finding out that she was pregnant? Okay, well, let's clear. Yeah, the timeline is a little confusing. Timeline. Yes, timelines got messed up and that's good to clarify. Yeah, go ahead. So a baby takes nine months, right?

So if you think about her due date and then you just subtract. however many days, nine months. Okay, she got pregnant several days after the gala. So that's when she was pregnant. She was not pregnant. I hooked up with Alex in Nashville. Oh, oh, no. Okay.

That's what I thought. I did not think that she was pregnant when you hooked up with Alex and Max. I guess. Rumors, you know. Yeah. Well, I guess because of the way they aired it was really one episode after the other. So. Wait.

But when you think about it, like, it's, yes, it's absolutely the right thing to do and everybody's just got to suck it up and we'll and we'll put the pieces we'll put the pieces together because we're still obviously kind of seeing Alyssa's part in this a little bit um I want to talk about I know Julia you said you didn't watch but you lived it so you know what you know what went down um your relationship with the

with Amanda at that point was like was kind of tough why did you think like Amanda was not really on your side, do you think it was just kind of JJ? I know it was JJ and people like, well, first of all, Alex is really good at manipulating and kind of like threatening people. So if Amanda were to do something against Alex, Alex would take it out on JJ and like somewhat forced JJ to like not hang out with Amanda or then Amanda wouldn't be able to go on the boat with Alex and Alyssa and go to the parties and go to Georgia or wherever.

they go to. And I think she was kind of afraid of that. Yeah. And she liked like the little group set up they had. But she was kind of in a trance. Like, but the thing is, JJ and Amanda have been like this before. They dated for three years a while ago. And she always gets wrapped up in him. And she was wrapped up in him then. And it was just one of those things. I knew where she was coming from. But that's why I just kind of was like having enough of her. But I knew why she was doing it at the same time. But in reality, he actually gets away with a lot more than what people think. And finally, finally it showed it last night a little bit, but there is so much more that you guys are going to see. and yeah it's crazy i mean it was emotional because i felt that like when you i think you had said to him like that you weren't mad about their past relationship it was that you were he was flirting with her right in your right in your face like it was i was getting mad i was like he called her a thunderbolt i know what the right it was like it was like you could tell from

his reaction when she walked in that he was either excited or happy that she was there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all around. Something else. Yeah. And then she actually said, she literally said that night, she goes, am I allowed to cuss on here? Yes. Okay. Maria said Juliet, quoted Juliet right off the bat.

Okay, but to be fair, and what you guys didn't see is that happened, and she played like this tough girl, and then she, like, ran outside and was like on the verge of tears. And then she called Gary later on that night. it's just like you know how people play it tough when they're like in front of a bunch of people

and then they're like they turn around they're like about to cry it's it was emotional for me to see yeah i was like i don't know if to hate you or feel sorry because we're all hanging up on you or i'm sorry that i don't even know i mean you feel bad about that but yeah but everyone feels bad when people start crying that's like one of my favorite tricks if my boyfriend's being mad at me i just like start tearing up and then he's like, okay, I'm sorry. That was literally an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm this past season. What was it? I forgot what he called it.

She was a professional cryer. Yeah, a professional cry. No, I don't like to pull that trick out that often, but when I do, it's because I really need to. Right, right. Juliet, Robbie popped back in this Halloween episode. he, you know, flew from wherever he was to come back. He was making laugh.

I know, it's just, I know. I was dying, watching that last night. And it's funny because the way they put it together, right, is like you saying, that was kind of awkward. Like, why are we even talking? It immediately cuts to him being like, I think that went really well. Like, it was just.

But that's how they really are. Like, they're on the two pages all the time. Being and Robbie? Yeah. Oh my God, I can't stand him. That's so nice that I feel bad if I'm like a bitch, but he just irks me. I just like I feel like I have to pull out my like super polite card with him. Like some like a coworker you don't want to see but you don't want to be mean to.

Yeah. And I'd say for me when I found out about the bag, I was I was mad for Juliet because I thought that was very immature of her to like kind of get a gift based on Juliet's choices. It's crazy that you flew through my like three, four years of life that fast. Oh, yeah. Like when we used to, me and my best friend when we were younger and we'd been to watch the hills. And I think we were in like, I don't know, eighth grade. And we would sit on the couch and we're like,

oh my God, we're celebrating. Orange 21st birthday and then it'd be like, Lauren's 22nd birthday. And we're just being in the same exact spot. That's literally what happened. But I was captivated. I mean, the drama that goes on. And I think that people have this common, you know,

assumption about reality shows that they're scripted and whatever it may be. But I think it, and you guys can tell me if I'm wrong, I think I'm now realizing it's like you get put in a place It's like you're going to hang out with these people, but the drama that comes from it is most definitely real. Right. And a problem I have is that, well, you just can't have a camera on you all the time. And there's so much stuff that happens when like right now, obviously we're quarantining and you can't have a bunch of people in one area.

But there's like so much going on in my life right now. Like a lot going on right now. I wish people were here to like see this, film it. Like I have one friend right now who's like, I'm in love with two girls and I don't know what to do. like someone help he like dumped this one girl then she starts crying so he dumps the other girl and he takes me like a whole thing and like I just need people to see this right now yeah our whole life you can just tell us everything that's happening and then we did like worried like one of the girls like listens to this and they're going to be like wait a minute that sounds a lot like my story

Sam and I have a very elaborate past, and it's just, again, he's, like, been in our friend group for a while, kind of how a lot of relationships are. And then, but, I mean, what I am excited for people to see is he's just such a different person than Alex was, like, completely different personalities, and it's nice to see me, like, level-headed for once in my life, so. the first episode it's funny because you try and sleuth and then you realize you're like okay, now I'm reading things that I got way too deep and this is starting to get creepy. Like, I don't want to be doing this. I know. I hate it. I want to tell everyone what's going on so bad in my life right now. I'm like, yeah. He is an actor, a writer, an advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement. He's gaining a ton of followers and traction right now on social media, rightfully so, because of his educational videos and spreading the word.

And we're really excited to have him on the show. So thank you for joining us, Brandon. Thank you for having me. We're really excited to talk to you. Right off the bat, just want to ask you, you know, how are you doing? How's life right now? How do you feel? Yeah, that's a complicated question. I think it goes in waves. You know, there are seconds where I feel great and seconds where it just feels crippling and paralyzing. So I'm just doing my best to move through it with grace and with ease.

What was the first video that you had made that you know that obviously these have been blowing up. You've gotten a lot of attention from them. when you went into making it, was it just like, I'm just going to post my thoughts on social media and hopefully people listen or, you know, and then it kind of exploded. Yeah, the first video I made was titled to my white friends, which is just me kind of expressing how all of this is impacting me.

And I think that really I was expecting a couple of my friends to watch. I was just having a hard time bottling up the emotions. and like I was still working and, you know, things were still going on in the world, and I was having a hard time not acknowledging how I was feeling based off of what was going on with black people in general. So that was the intention. The intention was to, I was like, I don't know if my white friends know exactly how painful this is for me. I think they see me and they think, oh, he's married and he has a dog and he has plants and he's happy and he works.

But it's like, no, this thing actually cripples me. in an inexplicable way. And so that was the intention of sharing that video. Yeah, I watched that video, and right off the bat, I could feel how much pain you were feeling. And it was so raw. But honestly, just thank you for doing that because Fran and I have talked, you know, a few times on our show now,

just about everything that's going on in general and how, you know, we're never going to be able to relate, but we're just trying to, you know, educate ourselves. and listen to you and these videos that you're making are so powerful. And I think that you're touching on so many subjects and questions that, you know, white people have in general, just like even public apologies when people screw up. That's a big one. What do you feel about that?

I feel like that's an interesting, interesting thing. Right. There was obviously that video we all saw of the black and white celebrities. The black in my video with all the white celebrities doing, you know, doing something. What I said yesterday, and I'll say it again, is I think public apologies are useless if they don't have an action plan attached to it. You know, identifying what you've done wrong is something that you can do for yourself so that you don't do that moving forward. But in terms of how it relates to the people you're apologizing to, I think that we have this playground mentality where if you say I'm sorry, then it's all fine.

And that he's the person that you're sorry. So you accept it and everything is good. And I think we have to remember that we're grownups and sorry isn't enough, right? There has to be action and behavior and accountability and responsibility taken. So that video was very dramatic. And, you know, God bless that group of people for doing that. But there was no action steps. There was no, this is what we're going to do to make sure that we never get into this.

situation again. And that's critical in these times of apologizing and taking ownership. Right. Because watching that video, and this is what I took away from it, was just that, like, it was good actors doing, like, bad acting. And you could see them, like, reading off a script. But I think what you said is so true that there needs to be an action plan in place or else you're not doing what you said. you're going to do. And also just the way people apologize, like, sorry I offended you is way different than I'm sorry what I did. Yes, what I did and I'll never do this again. And here's what I'm putting in place to make sure I never do that again. And I want to say like, you know, like, we're going to, this is uncharted territory for us as a nation and for us as a country to finally, it's taken a

long time and it's overdue, but to finally like acknowledge racism and white supremacy. in this kind of depth is new. And so we're going to stumble and we're going to fall. And that public apology from those actors, I'm sure, met good intentions. But it's a stumble. And so it's like, okay, let's learn from that. And now have deeper conversations and better conversations and move forward with it. Right.

I've seen this a lot, which I think is super powerful. Like it's not about the intention. It's about the impact. Like people say, oh, I did it with good intentions. but the impact is terrible. Yes, your intention is cute and that's fine. And if the person who's on the receiving end can see your intentions and kind of walk you through it, that's fine.

But it is the impact, right? So your language is important. What you say is important. How you show up is important. Like how you take care of people is important. So intention is one thing, but thinking about the follow through and what are the actions to make sure that your intention, lands and it will miss sometimes. And I think that what happens is when it misses, people get

defensive and they get angry and they shut down. And it's like, there's no time for that, right? There's no time for you to shut down and get into your ego and your feelings. You missed, acknowledge it, do better. It's really that simple. Right, because it's not about us right now. So it's like, don't harvest that you did something wrong. Yeah. Because it's not about you. Yeah. You're like, oh, I fucked up. Okay, cool. Great. Now let me do something. let me learn from this and move forward as opposed to, well, they're so hard to please or whatever that kind of tension that immediately grows. You see it in the comments I've experienced it in person.

It's like, no, like, chill, buddy, it's all good. Like, learn and do better. Absolutely. And so you did this first video and you captured it to my white friends. and then you continue to make videos as the weeks have gone by, you know, you've received such a great reaction from it. How has that been feeling for you in terms of kind of, I guess, coping with the situation of what's going on

because it's so hard right now, but these videos are doing such a good thing? That's a really important question, because I think that they are doing good, And then, so that that feels good to know that it's resonating and people are, you know, having light bulb moments and aha moments and are being able to move. At the same time, it is, it does require me to unpack my trauma. It does require me to unpack and translate white trauma. And so that is taxing in and of itself.

And so I'm still learning how to balance all of that, how to show up on social media in a loving way with my intentions of impact and at the same time take care of my heart space, which is why like there's not a video every day. There's not a video every minute. It's like it's kind of like whenever I feel moved and I feel like I have the words that I'm down to to make it, but I'm not like holding myself to a strict social media schedule because that's not my intention is to make sure that black lives matter, right? My intention is to make sure that conversations about black people and our experiences are shared and that we're safe and we're protected. That is not going to to happen in two weeks, right? That's, that's probably the rest of our lives, the rest of our

generation and the next generation and the next generation. So I'm pacing myself, to put it simply. Right. It's also smart because you, as if you continue to post videos when you're comfortable and space them out, it's also just a great reminder to people to not see this as like a trend. Like, you know, to be able to go to your page and be like, wow, we're still having this conversation. We need to be having this conversation. Let's continue it and make sure that it doesn't just, it doesn't just end. So I think like seeing your, you know, seeing your page.

And also I didn't, we didn't say at the beginning, but this is all your Instagram, Brandon K. Good. So yes. Yeah. Yeah. And I think I think what's also interesting too, what we're going to discover is that there are going to be so many nuances to this conversation, right? We're unpacking kind of the big broad strokes right now.

But as we dive deeper, there, there's, there's not. not going to be, we're not going to run out of things to talk about. We're not going to run out of things to unpack because there's just so many intricacies inside of our relationships between each other, inside of the relationships inside of the black community, inside of white community. It's, you know, bringing our Afro-Latino brothers and sisters into this conversation, bringing our trans brothers and sisters into this conversation. There's a lot to, to navigate. And so this will be, you know, something that you can't just be like, okay, we did it for two weeks we're good, like we are going to continue to be part of this, this shift. Right. There's so much to learn.

And like you said, it has to be kind of an everyday thing that, you know, it's not something to forget about just, you know, even if it's not on social media, do the work off of social media. You know, what do you suggest for people who, you know, they don't go on social media all that much, but they want to help and they want to help spread the word. obviously donations and petitions. What else do you think offline? I always think offline. You start at your home, right?

You start with, you know, what, if you have kids, what are your kids reading? Are they reading all white protagonists in their library? Or are they, are they black protagonists? What's their curriculum looking like? Start with your neighborhood. Are there black businesses that you can shop at, that you can invest in, that you can order from?

You know, your grocery store, If you see something happening between a manager and a black woman and it doesn't seem like it's fair or it feels off, like not walking away and not assuming that the black woman is in the wrong, like really showing up as an ally and getting uncomfortable and listening and using your privilege. So I think it starts in your community before it even goes to, you know, to the Supreme Court and to the laws. What are you doing at your job? What are you doing at your church? what are you doing at your school? What are you doing in the places that you frequent? Because it exists. I think that's what people don't realize

is that racism and white supremacy is existing in every space that we move in. We're just not, or white people and non-black people have just chosen not to see it for a really long time. And so now it's like, oh, I'm seeing it. What do I do about it? Yeah, I saw actually a story that a white woman posted on Instagram where she said that she was shopping at, I think it was Target,

and her and a black guy were walking out at the same time. And the bells for the alarm went off. And they stopped the black guy and they said to the woman, oh yeah, you can keep going. And she looked at them and was like, really, you're not going to check my bag? And he actually looked at her and was like, thank you for saying something.

Yes. And turns out when she got back to her car and looked in her bag, she had something with an alarm on it from a friend that was given to her. So I think that's a prime example of like if you see something, do something about it. Because I'm sure it meant a lot to that guy for her to be like, are you kidding me? Of course, because there's racial profile like that. But I think every black person has a story of being followed. Every black person has an encounter with some sort of authority, be a police, be it security.

And so for a white person to use their privilege in that moment to subversy, the racial profiling is invaluable, you know, and that that is how you show up as an ally. It's uncomfortable. You see a security guard and a black man, and we know that we're programmed to think, well, he probably did something. And having to unlearn that and consciously show up and be like, no, no, no, no, I'm not going to, I'm not going to respond and react from what I've been conditioned to believe about black people. I'm going to believe that this is a human being and that there's something else happening here. And I'm going to get curious about that.

Yeah, the unlearning is so important because I don't think you even realize. Like I grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood in New Jersey and through just reading and listening to people, I'm like thinking about things that I did growing up and in high school. And I'm like, wow, like I didn't even realize but that was just not right.

Yeah. And making sure that, you know, those thoughts, you know, that's what I think of first when I'm in these situations, not like resorting back to how I felt when I didn't realize what was happening to me. Yes. I think what's so what you just hit on is that we are conditioned from such a young age, and so we still operate from our eight-year-old self. Like our eight-year-old self was taught that, like, black people are scary, right? You saw how your parents reacted. You saw the TV shows. And movies and TV. And movies and TV. That's, yeah.

That's the messaging you were given, but then at 28 or 38, you never stopped to evaluate the value inside of that messaging. Like, was that true? Or was that just, you know, some kind of propaganda? Was that just a bad show that, you know, didn't diversify their characters? But we're still operating from these childhood messages that we got, which is why, one, what our kids are learning is incredibly important. And two, us unlearning, you know, us. really getting conscious about what are our biases and how do we unlearn that and undo that is also critical in this fight. Yeah, definitely. Just I go ahead, Rhea. No, sorry, go ahead.

This is what, this is why this is the Zoom. As we continue to do Zoom, we're like, I know figuring it out. Every time I'm like, oh, sorry, sorry. I want to ask you about a big thing that's kind of been going on in Hollywood right now is this can't. kind of like a canceled culture situation. Like if anybody has made that mistake in the past that they now, everything is blown up, everything is analyzed. I want to know, like, just what your opinion is on that,

like what is the right way for us to kind of, I guess, react to these people? And do they have the avenue to continue or is it just like when you're canceled, you're like, that's it or you're done? You know, I think that's interesting. And I think it's a case by case because there are some people who have been canceled that I'm like, yes, Harvey wants to be canceled. I don't. I'm not here for any conversations about him coming back into the zeit guys.

And then there are other people where you're like, you know what, that might just be an honest mistake. That might just be something that needs to be unpacked. Here's what I also think about that side if you're the person being canceled. I think you have to not get defensive. I think you have to own up that you did something that was hurtful, that you said something that was wrong. And even if it was a tweet that you said 10 years ago and it comes back up, it still hurts.

And so being willing to apologize and put out the effort to fix it for as long as it takes is important as the person getting canceled. And then as those of us who are canceling, I think there's also this part of us where we have to be like, we've made mistakes. We've definitely said wrong things. We've definitely shown up inappropriately at certain points because we didn't know out of ignorance

or out of whatever trauma we've had in our lives. And I would hope that our friends who know us and love us would give us a second chance. So I think there's a level of, there's work to be done on both sides of the cancel culture where there needs to be a little more empathy and also a little more responsibility taking on the person who has been canceled,

where we can kind of move through this, you know, get past it together. Right. As opposed to both getting tense and defensive and like, they're canceled and like, you can't cancel me like that. That doesn't do anything. That's just drama. Yeah. And that kind of goes back to what we were talking about with the public apology thing

where it's like the way you apologize about something really says a lot about how you actually feel about what you did. So I think that goes a lot. with cancel culture and like you said a little more empathy compassion and also responsibility on both parts of it a thousand percent a thousand percent one of the videos that you just posted recently I also love because you and your husband are adorable and I think that a lot of people are having those interracial couple conversations right now which is a whole different ballgame because I feel like what I see a lot of white people now and white people in maybe like reality TV and stuff like that

who are like who maybe I've said something poorly or said something wrong in the past and they're like well I date black people so like yes like how come I have a black friend yeah like they're like what do you mean like my boyfriend's black I can say like I can do this and you're like clearly you can't you still can't no you can't yeah that excuse of like I have a black friend or like my husband's or whatever, it's unacceptable and it's inappropriate and it doesn't excuse you, which is, again, the defensiveness. And I said this in the public apologies or one of those videos where it's like the defensiveness video where your brand of being a good person is at stake suddenly. And so you go into damage control and you start fighting people about it as opposed to realizing you're a good

person. Like if you're a good person, you're a good person. No one's debating that. But you did make a misstep. You did do something that was inappropriate, and instead of making an excuse for it, just own up to it. Take responsibility for it. If you want to give a little more context about why you thought that that was okay, fine, but then also why you know it's not okay now and what you're going to do to make it better. You can't use your black friends or your black partners as you're like, get out of, you know, out of racism free card. It doesn't work. right um well like we said you can follow brandon on instagram brandon k good right yes brandon k good yes so if you follow him you'll see all these videos um keep up with it you know

like he said he's going to do it when he feels like it and it'll be it'll be that subtle reminder always to keep this in the back of your mind um i said this before the interview that i wanted to touch on some other fun lighthearted stuff a little a little shift uh you know You have a new Netflix movie coming out. It's called Feel the Beat. It's a feel good movie. We watched a trailer before this. Love a Feel Good.

Love a Feel Good movie on Netflix. Yes, absolutely. I feel like we need it right now. Yeah. Tell us about this movie and how you got involved with it and your role. Yeah, so the movie's called Feel the Beat, and it stars my favorite person, Sophia Carson, who plays April. And so she's a disgraced Broadway dancer who has to go back to her small hometown New Hope. And she ends up training the ballet school, the little kid dancers in her town, and puts them in the competitions.

And she's hoping that if they're successful in the competitions, she'll be able to get back to Broadway. But along the way, she just ends up, you know, they melt her heart. And of course, you know how that goes. And I play her neighbor who becomes one of her best friends, Deco, who's her support system and telling her what's happening in New York and then shows up in New Hope and helps. helps the girls get ready for their competition. And what I keep saying about Deco is that Deco is so fearless. And he's black and he's queer, but that's not his storyline, that he gets to just exist in this town with these people.

The first scene, he shows up in a leather kilt and like these Gucci boots. And no one says anything. It's just like, hey. And I love that. I love. And I'm hopeful, especially as we have these BLM conversations, that there will be more black and queer characters whose storylines are not based in their oppression, right?

That their storylines are, they get to just exist and be and have fun and fight monsters and dance or whatever it is that they get to be a full character. That's my hope. And I think Deco is a step in that direction. That's amazing. I'm really looking forward to watching the movie because like Reyes said, we watched a trailer

and we were like, this is everything. We are looking for in an Netflix movie. Like a great... A great storyline. It seems like there's also, you know, a nice love story going on. Love it. Like really cute kids. Kind of like a like a dance mom's element to it.

Absolutely. Yes. If you love dance moms, this is for you. It's also a very impressive past. It's just like, it's a, I think it's a, I watched it. And I was like, this is a good time. It's just a really good time. So I hope that people will, will enjoy it.

Yeah. And that comes out, uh, June 19th. Friday, June 18th. Friday. Friday. This is just honestly I think a great time for movies to be coming out on streaming services just because I mean we're

in New York so like we're not really in the phases of like being out and about yet I don't really think anyone is but especially in New York City. LA is a little bit. We're open up yeah people are wild and out over there I'm not gonna lie. Yeah but just like being able to be home and watch movies and

so this is really exciting and like we said we watch a trailer it's everything you look for it in a film. I'm so excited. You also are a writer and this really just like, I popped out of my seat when I read this. You joined the writing team for Big Mouth. Yes.

I haven't seen all the seasons of Big Mouth, but I watched the first two. I will continue watching it. But what happened was I don't live with my parents anymore. I moved out. But when I was living with my parents, I joked, I wrote a blog about how they must have thought I was watching like cartoon porn in my room.

Because of like, I would like turn it on and like close the door quietly and just like act like I wasn't watching anything. It's a good headphone show. It's a good show for your head phone. Oh yeah. It's just, it's honestly fucking hilarious. Just like the whole concept of it.

But what was that like joining such a great team of writers? It was intimidating. Like, I mean, if you watch the show, you know the show is really hilarious and that it is voiced by icons and written by icons, you know, Nick Kroll and Maya Rudolph and John Malaney and our creators, Andrew Goldberg and Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin. They're just all just incredible, incredible, incredible writers. So to be this, to be my first show writing on and to like show up was just terrifying. But I'm so blessed because they could not be a nicer group of people.

They are so emotionally attuned. They're so invested in telling good stories. They were so invested in me and making sure that I could be my best in the room and guiding me and mentoring me and shepherding me. So it's just been an unreal. And I'm just, I'm lucky. I feel like I found out that I got the job like two days before Christmas. So it was like the best Christmas game. That is amazing.

What was like, I don't know if you remember this, but what was like your first line or something that you slipped in there? Do you remember? Oh my God, I do not because there are so many lines. We all day. I mean, we work from like 10 to 6 every day. So a lot of things get said. So I don't know my first line. I did write, I co-wrote an episode with Mitro Juhari.

other like just one of the most fabulous writers and comedians uh and that's going to be episode seven in the upcoming season and i won't tell you anything about it but it's a really we're very proud of it i will definitely watch it i'm super excited for that i got to catch up on all the episodes now that i have my own apartment i could blast it yes you can blast it you can laugh your neighbors might be like what's going on but she's into some interesting stuff yes yes but it's Yeah.
