Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad free on Amazon Music. This is state of emergency. What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne, giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Woo, happy, good Friday.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Yeah, happy, good Friday, everyone. Hope you're on your best behavior. Happy Passover to those who, celebrate Noah and I'm going to Universal so I'm really excited that's what my sights are set on yeah not it doesn't always fall like this every year
Starting point is 00:00:48 where it's like all actually at the same time I don't think so no it does not find out about Passover until yesterday where my mom was like are you coming for a Friday night and I'm like for what good stuff Noah good good stuff yeah no it's all happening at the same time
Starting point is 00:01:05 you're headed down to Florida I'm jealous you're going to universal. I literally like, I'm so jealous. I'm so excited. I'm really excited. Like, I was watching YouTube videos of the rides. I'm going to be there, but I'm, I was already watching. I feel you've been trying to go to an amusement park for like a year. It has been a full year and I'm finally going.
Starting point is 00:01:25 And I told you, I really want you to take like really like cheesy touristy photos of just yourself in front of like a lot of landmarks. Like I need you to redo this photo. I'm going to find it. of me in front of the night bus. Everyone will see on checks in the office, I'm going to post a collage of photos of me at Harry Potter World doing different things alone.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Are you just going to Harry Potter World? Are you doing everything? No, no. I mean, Harry Potter World is in. No, I know, but like, doesn't it take, like, you could spend a whole day in Harry Potter World probably. I could. I'm going to stop in.
Starting point is 00:01:56 I like the other rides at Universal too, of course. Listen, I'm going to try to do as much as possible. I'm going to be running around that park. What's the ride you're most looking forward to? The Gringott's roller coaster. I'm very excited for. Fran has really hyped me up for that. I will probably head there first.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Really? Because the lines are going to be crazy for Harry Potter World. Damn. She's going to be a beautiful day for an amusement park. I'm so fucking excited. Like I'm going to get a corn dog. Are you good with like upside down? Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I will do. I love rides. I love roller coasters. I need you to take this photo. Yes. Send them all to me. It's me in front of the in front of the night bust. You look cold.
Starting point is 00:02:38 It was cold. We went in January, and it was, like, actually cold. It was, like, we ran a weird amount of layers. Here's me a conductor of Hogwarts Express. Yeah, I will be taking all of those pictures. I'm very, very, very, very excited. I'll also be going on all the other rides. The minion rides.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Oh, yeah. I like to the minion ride. The twister ride, Fast and Furious. If you want all the 4D stuff, E.T. If you want to take a picture with Squidward at the... If you don't think I'm taking pictures with all the characters, Like I, you guys will not, it's just, I'm making sure that all of my pictures. Here's me in front of the Gringott's Bank ride.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Are, our solo. Like, I, I just want solo pictures of me all of the universe. Yeah. Yep. It's just like, where is Waldo? Yeah, like, it's just me pop in everywhere. That's what I want to see. I'm so, I actually have tears forming where my eyes about it.
Starting point is 00:03:30 I'm so jealous. I've been wanting, Noah's right. I've been talking about going to Universal for like a full year now. Yeah. Even before Harry Potter, you just wanted to go. No, I just wanted to go to you. I love amusement parks and haven't been in a while. I got my little fixing in California.
Starting point is 00:03:43 We went to the Santa Monica Pier. I rode that tiny little roller coaster. And I just, Oh my God, I can't fucking wait. I'm going to get a stuffed animal. I don't know he's crying yet. What? Water rides?
Starting point is 00:03:54 No, no water rides for me. That's islands of adventure, I think. It's the other park. I'm not going to go there. I'm just going to go to one park. There's only so much you can't do, you know. Yeah. There's only so much you can, so much time in the day.
Starting point is 00:04:06 but I'm thrilled. I'm really, really fucking excited. I'm excited for you. Thank you. And jealous. And I hope you have a phenomenal time. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:04:16 It's going to be great. You guys excited for your weekends? I am. I'm not doing much. I'm just hanging. I'll be local. So that's nice. That's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Relaxing weekend. It's exactly a relaxing weekend. Don't have too much planned. Get a flight right now and come. Yeah. Wouldn't that be? If the flight was on. If Fran was coming to Florida this weekend, I know she would have came to Universal.
Starting point is 00:04:40 There wouldn't have been a question. Fran would have been at Universal with me. Absolutely. And it was very close. You were looking up the flights to come. I wish you were coming to Universal. Yeah. Man.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I go to Coney Island. I kind of want to just go on a ride. Yeah. Get a hot dog. Yeah. Just like to feel, just ride a roller coaster to feel something. Do you feel alive? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Yeah. Yeah. I'm excited. All right. Well, we did another Q&A for this episode. I think what we do, yes, we did. But I want to say, I think if we do in like the fall, if we do, which I think we hopefully will do is more live shows. If we do one in Florida, we'll tag team that with a trip to Disney.
Starting point is 00:05:17 We have to do one in Florida. We have to do West Palm. Yeah. Or Jupiter or whatever. But people DM us all the time saying do West Palm. Yeah. We have to. There's a lot of places in Florida.
Starting point is 00:05:27 A lot of people do. Like I get a lot of Jacksonville. Yeah, but both of our families are like in West Palm and Jupiter. So it makes sense. If we went to Pennsylvania. I need to go Hershey Park. Oh, I love Hershey. I fucking love Hershey.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I love Hershey Park. Oh my God. Let's just do it. All our shows are just next to Amazing Park. So we go to Hershey, Pennsylvania. We go to fucking Six Flags in New Jersey. Like, I think that's like Jackson, New Jersey. Oh, we got to get to Six Flags at the end of May or something.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Yeah. And we go to like Bush Gardens. Oh, my God. There's also one in, there's like a very big one in Ohio. Ohio that I'm forgetting the name of. Yeah. There's a big one in Ohio that we could go to. I always see a lot of people wanting us to go to Ohio.
Starting point is 00:06:17 It's always great to get a message that your flight is departing on time. Cedar Point. These days. Cedar Point. Yeah, that's like they got big roller coasters. Oh yeah. Everyone talks about. Everyone has to get to Cedar Point.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Well, all right. It's just chicks on roller coasters. I mean, that's not a bad idea. And, like, each, you know, do the live show. Maybe we do, like, outdoor shows at all the abusive parks. Maybe our goal in life is to create an amusement park. That's all right. That's where we end up.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Roller coaster tycoon. Yeah. All right. Let's get into today's show. Yep. Let's do it. We got another fun Q&A. We're talking about high school.
Starting point is 00:06:54 We'll also be covering some topics. Um, the ultimatum finally ended the finale. We know what happened with the couples. Haley Bieber is telling everyone to leave her alone on TikTok. and the The Photoshop picture from a few months ago Has finally been revealed from Chloe and Kim
Starting point is 00:07:13 Very, very funny We also have a great interview with Lala Who is so much fun every time we talk to her I think she's the best I think she's awesome So let's get into it starting off With Haley Bieber Student Loan Time
Starting point is 00:07:27 Nothing better than worrying about your taxes And student loans all at the same time Big tax days coming up by the way get your taxes done. Starting point is 00:08:55 Leave me alone at this point. I'm minding my business. I don't do anything. I don't say anything. Leave me alone. Please. Enough time has gone by where it's valid to leave me alone. I beg of you, truly. That's my only request. Be miserable somewhere else. Please.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Yeah. It's about time. And of course, like, the sound is going viral now. Like, that's just what happens when you post TikToks. Like, people are just using that for other things, which objectively, funny. But for her, like, I just, I feel bad because on the outside, you think, like, she must have, quote, unquote, the perfect life. She's married to Justin Bieber. She is successful and beautiful and all these things.
Starting point is 00:09:48 And on the inside, like, she's reached the point where she's, like, desperate on TikTok being like, please leave me alone. Like, I'm so over this. It's been years now. Years. Right. I would be just as frustrated as her. How could you not be? Imagine like, no matter what you posted, anything,
Starting point is 00:10:10 could be a picture of your couch. And you could always guarantee that people would comment like, Selena's couch is better. Like, forever. Like, and not just like a random person, but like your boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. Like, your boyfriend's ex-girlfriend for years. People just cannot mention her name or their name together in anything that you do. That'll make someone lose their mind, which I feel like she's like Lee.
Starting point is 00:10:40 She's like a, it was like her own Britney Spears leave Britney alone to herself. To herself. They've also been married for years. So long. They've been together for so long. They have been together longer. Hollywood couples. They've been together longer than Justin and Selena were together.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Even if you put all the times they broke up, they got back together. Haley and Justin have been together longer than that at this point. Yeah. So these people are absolutely nuts. Everybody knows that. Everybody also knows that they're like teenagers, but they also have grown up because think about it, these teenagers that were a fan of them have gone. They have no lives.
Starting point is 00:11:15 They have no lives. That's what it is. They don't have a life of their own. So they are fixated. So crazy that it's like an actual person. Yeah, they're doing that. They're fixated on other people's lives because they don't have a life of their own. and so they obsess over making somebody feel bad about themselves
Starting point is 00:11:33 because they live through a computer or a phone and have no life. That's truly what it is because anybody with a life would never be commenting these things. So obviously it gets very frustrating and I'm really happy she finally said something because people always say, oh, ignore, ignore, ignore, but how much do you ignore until it just becomes like just shut the fuck up already? I wish she said shut the fuck up. Yeah. Because it's just like, it's that and it's always, like there's always a, oh, Justin Haley are on the rocks.
Starting point is 00:12:05 Like, look at this. Like, there are marriages in jeopardy, like all these things. And I think she's just getting fed up with the tabloids. And sometimes I feel like a lot of those stories start on the internet by those, like, by the stands. Right. Because I don't even. Like, they're on there, something's going on with their relationship. I don't even see where people are saying that they're on the rocks or ooh, you looks like you hate,
Starting point is 00:12:33 where do people even see these videos or pictures? Because all the stuff I see from them is that they look very happy. I know. All the time. I think that they look like they love each other. It looks like they support each other. They're always posting each other. And I know that doesn't really mean anything because people who sometimes post each other are miserable.
Starting point is 00:12:47 But when you see videos of them in public, it looks like they're fine. It's like people have moments where they're not smiling from ear to ear every second of day. It's like, that's what I mean by these people have no lives because they have no idea how a normal human being functions from day to day and that people like have a different range of emotions. Yeah. Yeah. And it's just like clearly it's been a lot for her. And you just hope like it never goes any farther. I don't know how these people could live with themselves if something terrible were to happen. And like that's the blame. You know, like it's just crazy that you don't think that think that through like of how you your words could be affecting someone and if she sees stuff and
Starting point is 00:13:32 I feel like you can tell her forever to be like oh yeah don't look at it don't read it whatever but like her life her business like all these things are on social media like she has to be on there and sees things occasionally so it's just impossible for someone like her to fully avoid and I guess literally unless you're Slina Gomez who is on the because I feel like she also is on the other side of this and sometimes I feel like I get annoyed that she's never really said anything and I think like sometimes you know people say that about Taylor Swift too it's like well they the fans have this unwavering support where if they were to actually say something then maybe it would do something but I don't know like it's like it It's, I guess, not fully replaced. And apparently Sleana doesn't go on the internet. She hasn't been on the internet in four and a half years, she says. So that's how she clearly avoids seeing it or getting involved and all these things,
Starting point is 00:14:33 even though she's like queen of TikTok recently. So clearly she's doing some stuff. But I guess not reading everything. I just, I'm going to hold back what I want to say. Because I'm also afraid of these people. No, yeah. I think that's totally fair. It's just reached a crazy point for like a girl who is happily married to still have to like make these videos begging people to leave her alone.
Starting point is 00:15:01 It's just weird of these people. They're weirdos. Finally, we have the answer to the supposed Photoshop of Kim posting about True at Disney World. So funny. Her first time, Disneyland. Yeah. It was Photoshopped. Yeah, so we all remember...
Starting point is 00:15:22 It was Photoshopped. We all remember the pictures. Why was it photoshopped? I have no idea, but it was Photoshopped. We all remember the pictures that Kim posted of... We still have... Oh, I'm like looking at... My Google was Cedar Point.
Starting point is 00:15:40 We still have the picture, saw the picture that Kim posted of Chicago and True, like on rides, posing, where everyone was like, I'm telling you guys, True is photoshopped into these photos Like she is not like they look so weird And they never said anything about it And then this past week They went To Disneyland
Starting point is 00:16:05 And you know True's fourth birthday HB Day by the way She had a squish mellow Like it was a cat themed birthday But there were so many squishmelos At that party It looked unbelievable
Starting point is 00:16:19 Just your heaven I know I got a bunch of of DMs that was like, Ria's got to find someone to dress in a giant Squish-Mellon costume for France birthday. So just keep that in mind. Thank you for that heads up.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Thank you. I will keep that in mind. And Chloe posted True's first time at Disneyland. Like a video, she's like, hey, it's True's first time at Disney. They're so excited. And I was like, wait, wait, wait. If that's True's first time at Disney, then let's refer back to these photos
Starting point is 00:16:47 that where it looks like True is there. And then very funny, someone tweeted being like, hello, the Photoshop, how could this be your first time if she's supposed to be in this picture? And she just replied, well, I fucked this one up. Anyways, let's focus on something else. Our show airs in a few days with a bunch of like laughing emojis. To me, it's so crazy because I just don't understand the motive. And if it's like, if it was an issue between the sisters, just don't post the picture. Like if Kylie was like, oh, I don't want Stormy in the photo or like, I don't maybe, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:17:32 I could see Kylie being like, the Stormy doesn't look good. Like, I don't know. I don't like how Stormy looks. I don't like how Stormy looks. Can you like not post that? But Kim being like, well, Chicago looks so cute, I need to post it.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Like, I'm going to put true over. Like, I don't understand. I don't understand. Just don't post the picture. Don't post a picture or cut them out. Just post a picture. picture of Chicago. Or just like wait until the next time you go to Disney.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Like maybe that one stays right now. Like that one stays in your photos. It doesn't make it to Instagram. It doesn't have to. It doesn't always have to. Although objectively very funny. Yeah. But I wish that at the time that this happened, that she just said,
Starting point is 00:18:12 I photoshopped true into this picture because I know. They didn't want stormy to be in it. Yeah. Or like whatever the reason may be, it doesn't make any. It is so bizarre. know, there's been a lot of Photoshop. Like, I think people were talking about Chloe photoshopping a picture the other day. And fans thought maybe Kim photoshopped Pete Davidson in that picture of them with the at the dinner that she posted.
Starting point is 00:18:37 And look, they love Photoshop. We know that. They, like, could they be a little bit more transparent about that? Yeah, probably. But they fucking Photoshop everything. They do love Photoshop. They Photoshop everything. They also look great.
Starting point is 00:18:51 if you watch the new Kardashians on Hulu. They don't even need to photo. Well, here's the thing. I think that sometimes a picture, maybe you don't feel like you look your best, but in video or in person, you capture it all. Because you're watching them and you're like,
Starting point is 00:19:07 they're fucking stunning. What do they need to Photoshop for? They didn't like the picture, so they felt like to Photoshop. I don't know the reason behind it, but sometimes they take it to a level where it's just so obvious that you're like, what's the point?
Starting point is 00:19:19 Do I think that Photoshop Do I think she tuned up Pete a little bit? Of course she tuned up Pete a little bit. He does have a strong jaw line in that photo. But also like, how do you edit a jaw? A jaw. Oh my God. A jaw line.
Starting point is 00:19:38 I got to move out of Rhode Island. I can't keep talking like that. Oh, my God. It's just like funny because it's like it's like my aunt Debbie it's like a I don't even know how to describe it's like something is it's like you have a little alien like a little long island
Starting point is 00:19:59 alien in your body and it's like fighting to come out and like Ria's been like yeah like Ria's like trying to like block it and hold it in and sometimes it just blurts out and then you're like get away I put her down I'm like suffocating her and she just
Starting point is 00:20:14 sometimes she just pops out of nowhere like that was crazy like Aunt Debbie just came out of my body and said jaw. Yeah. Exactly. It's Harry Potter when, uh, Voldemore's trying to take over his body. Actually, though. It just like pops out at random times. That was nuts. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Oh, man. No, I just think like sometimes when, you know, you see the people on Instagram who post, like, women do it a lot where it's like, oh, here I am posed and clenching my abs and, like, not breathing and all these things. And then here's me like, relax. Like, I have stomach rolls. Like, this is like how it. like same person, two different things. And like for men, I feel like you could just be, you know, relaxed. But if you like really, you like bite down, like give yourself, he could probably sculpt that real nice.
Starting point is 00:21:03 So who knows? They were talking about like his nose, his jawline. I don't know how you Photoshop those things. You know what's funny as I saw Victoria Garrick posted on Instagram about the Chloe photo. And it made me laugh because she was like, she always, that's, you know, talks about. being aware of people photoshopping things. And you can so clearly, like, see the slope sort of in the couch of the second picture that Chloe posted.
Starting point is 00:21:29 And it's just like, first, like, Chloe, it makes me almost feel bad because I feel like Chloe looks so fucking good right now. And I feel like she still has these, like, deep rooted insecurities. And that's why she's still photoshopping things. She looks amazing. She looks so good. And so, but she posted was like, by the way, who's doing their Photoshop? because, like, me and my friends in college, our face tunes were impeccable.
Starting point is 00:21:52 No one ever, no one ever noticed. Like, we, like, they got to be hiring some better people to do their Photoshop because it's always pretty obvious sometimes. They got to triple check that shit. Yeah. If Chloe's doing it herself, she's got to get better. If she's doing it, yeah, exactly. Because, like, it was, you know, she had joked, like, she's going to be hiring some
Starting point is 00:22:09 college girls to be sorority girls to be changing or something. That would be smart. It's, yeah. And they're always. be like it's been a lot this past week i feel like between the pete cloy and they were talking about the tyra banks and the skims campaign people were talking about perhaps she was photoshopped there and then this the big reveal of that wasn't true at disneyland however many months ago it was we are headed on tour and a lot of that is thanks to sling we love sling if you guys need live

That's like when you're on a roller coaster. Yeah, hands and feet. Hands and feet inside.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Hands and feet in the ride at all times. No flash photography. Oh, I wish I could. Oh, fuck. Safari. Okay, anyway, the ultimatum, um, nine and ten, episodes nine and ten. It's the finale. It's the reunion.
Starting point is 00:24:43 We see all the couples in nine. the end of their relationship. So, Shanique and Randall, he proposes. Kind of felt like maybe he shouldn't have proposed, but he did propose.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Ray and April, April and Jake, we already knew that Ray and Zay broke up. April and Jake, no proposal. He's like, I know you want one. I can't get there.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Fine. Very funny, I thought, that he was like, just want to let you know. It's not like me and Ray are running off into the sunset. Meanwhile, he offered her plane tickets to go wherever they want
Starting point is 00:25:19 in the world. That's literally the definition of running off. Yeah, that is. When you literally go on vacation somewhere together. Like straight up. Like, if you were to ask me like, oh, me and you, like, if I said, we're going to run off into the sunset together, my idea would be like, we're hop on a plane and we're going somewhere super remote. Like, that's
Starting point is 00:25:35 what he offered. Basically, he offered to run off into the sunset with her. So April didn't get that proposal. Ray came back, and he did offer these flights. where it seemed like they were going to take them. They were kissing. They seemed like happy about it.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And then maybe the craziest of them all. Colby and Madeline, this is also where I had issues with the show. Because there were pieces, so many pieces I felt like we just didn't see because they weren't filming. So we saw the fight. We saw her leave, got upset. This isn't going to work.
Starting point is 00:26:11 And then he's prepping to propose. and he's like, so we talked privately, I owned up to everything that I did, like I was wrong, it wasn't Madeline that made me do those things. It was like, okay, we're just not going to see that conversation.
Starting point is 00:26:26 We just don't, like, oh, now all of a sudden, everything's fine. He's going to propose and she's going to say yes, even though she just stormed off like 24 hours ago. I would have loved to have seen that conversation. And he proposes, she says yes, and then he says,
Starting point is 00:26:39 let's get married right here on the spot. And they do it. Madeline's friend is pissed I can tell you that much I can't tell you She can't believe it If they got married Somewhere she would have objected
Starting point is 00:26:53 At the wedding And now Madeline's pregnant These two They shouldn't be together And I'll stand by that Even though they're having a child Together I will stand by the fact
Starting point is 00:27:02 That I don't think they should be together I think that they had some issues That I think they got married on a whim And they were like Let's just fucking do it And they're gonna run into some issues Madeline's gonna cheat on Colby at some point.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Like, Madeline's going to have the baby and be like, fuck. And then she's going to cheat on Colby. She's going to hit up Randall and be like, I think that we had something. And Randall's going to run and off and do it. He's going to cheat. Yeah. And they're going to fucking hook up.
Starting point is 00:27:32 And Colby's going to be like a little bitch to Madeline. And that's it. Like, I don't think these two should be together. And I'm not rooting for any of this to happen. I'm not. I'm just thinking clearly and they're not. Like these two, I don't know what happened here. As for the rest of them, whatever. I don't think any of these couples that went on this show should be together.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I don't. I don't think you sign up for a show called the ultimatum and then are like, yeah, you two. Like, there are plenty of other people out there that you're compatible with. You don't have to stick it out with these people. It works for Nick and Vanessa. Right. But Nick and Vanessa did. in the real world. Nick and Vanessa dated one other person and naturally went back to each other
Starting point is 00:28:19 and then got married and have a wonderful relationship. That happens. Yeah. That happens in real life where people, they break up, they date other people, then they get back together. Yeah, that's fine. If you sign up for a show called the Ultimatum, I don't think you should be with that person. That's, and that really seemed like the April Jake relationship was a prime example of that. She was like, we've been together two years, I'm ready. Clearly this was not the guy for you. At the reunion, we find out that she is
Starting point is 00:28:49 in a relationship, super happy, thinking about kids. It is an older guy. Good for April. I wasn't surprised at that. And, yeah, there was like a big reveal because it was like, there's an empty seat here. Let's bring out Colby and Madeline because Madeline's
Starting point is 00:29:07 seven months pregnant. Like, they got working quick. She, got pregnant, I think like, and I honestly want to talk to them. Like, I hope they come on the show. Like, I want, that's, I... Yeah, hopefully they don't listen to everything I just said where I don't think they belong together and Madeline's going to cheat on Colby and they shouldn't be having a baby. But yeah, I hope they come on the show too. Oh, that's some of the pros of doing a podcast.
Starting point is 00:29:34 I want... Well, just because like the timeline, because it really does feel like it made it seem like they filmed the end of the show around like seven-ish plus months ago around that time so they conceived that night like it just happened like right away it feels like they must have got married conceived that night
Starting point is 00:29:54 yeah and that was that yeah because the way that um Shanique and Randall were talking about their relationship was like oh they got they did get engaged but didn't work for all their problems so they broke up for a while didn't talk for like six months so if that's been that long of a time, right? And now they're back. Like, not, I don't know if they're like
Starting point is 00:30:16 together, together, but it did look, it did seem like maybe they were chatting to see what happened. Um, the Ray and Jake of it all, I'm not quite sure what's going on there. Like, they clearly have chemistry. I don't think they could hold on to their, like, they held on to their exes. They're, the Ray, Ray and Zay tried to make it work again. And then they just start, she starts screaming at him. Rightfully so, I think like she starts yelling at him in the, at the reunion and like he got up and left. Like he doesn't, he really when it comes to like living in your own reality and coming up with like
Starting point is 00:31:00 your side of the story, he's very manipulative. It felt like. And she was like, you made me feel all this, all these different terror. ways like this whole time and you won't own up to any of it. Uh, and so she was rightfully very pissed. But like in these moments, he gets up, Zayla gets up and leaves and like Ray and Jake are holding hands. Like he's there supporting her. I'm like, what's the deal here? Is there a connection? Is there not? They didn't go on the trip. There could be a connection, but not a relationship. Yeah, that's true. This experience could have maybe just brought them together as like really good
Starting point is 00:31:35 friends. That is a good point to. Yeah. Maybe a good support system. Yeah. Like kind of like I feel like Colby and April, like, kind of ended up being friends. I don't know if they're actually friends now, but just from like doing what they were doing. And just seems like there's no, I don't know. There's definitely nothing with Ray and Zay, but I don't know what's going on with Ray and Jake. They had funny moments where they did like make fun of themselves. Like how many times Jake said, I got dragged onto the show and how many times April talked about herself and the third person, which was a lot. And how many times Nate said that he wanted kids.
Starting point is 00:32:16 They were at the reunion. They all joked like he's probably the one who didn't buy into the experience the most. It's like, yeah, no shit. He came on with an ultimatum. Didn't solve any of his problems and then proposed. And I guess they've agreed to one kid, he and Lauren. Although it was good. Lauren said that they are engaged.
Starting point is 00:32:36 She has the engagement ring on. And they did agree to therapy. Like Lauren said that after the show they did go to therapy, which is great. I feel like all these people could use some real life therapy. And they've agreed to one kid. This is, and I, you know, this can change and you can not want kids and then want kids and then be very happy with kids. But when this is so well documented on a television show, if I am that one kid. that later is like, oh, mom and dad
Starting point is 00:33:13 a long time ago went on a reality show and I see my mom like being like, I'm not getting married because I don't want any kids. I'd be like, hmm, interesting. It is interesting. My mom... You can change your mom my mom, though, obviously. So, you live with it. That's different. Once you're alive.
Starting point is 00:33:32 I think it's different as like, oh, once you're living. I think it's different of like, oh, third child is a mistake or like instead of like going in. saying I never want to have kids. My mom tells me I was the best mistake she ever made. Exactly. My dad doesn't like when she says that. When she says it's a mistake.
Starting point is 00:33:49 You know, sometimes that happens. Sometimes it's not even a mistake. It just wasn't planned. Mistakes is the wrong word to use. Mistake is the wrong word. Mistake makes it sound like there's regret. It's an oops. Well, no, I actually hate that in.
Starting point is 00:34:04 You know like the oops? No, I don't because in quarantine, I know, I told you, Yeah. They started, they took all these pictures. It was like, a quarantine oops. Yeah. Oh, yeah. What the fuck is that about?
Starting point is 00:34:17 I mean, I guess it's an oops. Yeah. Oopsie Daisy. Yep. Had a baby. Yep. But I don't know. No protection.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Oops. I liked what Rihanna said when she said they didn't plan for it, but they didn't plan against it. Yep. So they weren't taking action to not have it happened. Totally. They weren't actively seeking it out. If it happens, it happens.
Starting point is 00:34:38 So there. Nate and Lauren engaged, planning on one kid, and Alexis and Hunter are getting married in June. So it's... For them, they're like, they're maybe the only ones where it does, like, make sense. Because to me, it makes sense that you are like, ah, we'll do this reality show, like, you know, reality show. Maybe get some whatever the benefits of being on a reality show is. but like when it came down to actually picking other people, they were like, holy shit, we can't do this.
Starting point is 00:35:13 You know? So I'm like, oh, maybe that is good. I don't know. But they're getting married in June. So listen, I root for all these people's happiness. Yeah. Just don't think you'd go on the show if you should be with these people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Yeah. I think there was a lot of discussions of like the girls who did really want to go on the show and the guys being like, I did not want to do this. and all these things. That's also how I felt about Temptation Island. Yeah. It's like, why are these people putting themselves in this fucking situation if they want to be together?
Starting point is 00:35:45 No, look, at the end of the day, I truly think, like, if you think your guy is the one for you and you're dead set on getting married or, like, spending the rest of your life together, you don't put that in jeopardy by going on reality TV. No, I don't want him to talk to another girl and kiss another girl. I'm like literally any kind of reality TV. Anything.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Like, any sort of, whether it's a, whether it's a show like this, Temptation Island, even just like marriage boot camp. Like, I don't care like any of them. I'm not putting them in a situation like that where they can decide they don't want to be with me. Yeah. On TV.
Starting point is 00:36:18 On TV. Like, that's nuts. That's absolutely nuts. If you don't want to be with me, tell me in real life. Yeah. Because we're not doing any of this TV bullshit. Yep. So that wraps it up for the ultimatum.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Let me tell you something. When Madeline came out of the, around the corner, and I was like, my jaw dropped. Like, holy shit. She's pregnant. Like, pregnant. She's pregnant. She's pregnant, and her friend wishes she was pregnant by Kobe.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Yeah. I just would have really loved to have seen them actually, like, have legitimate constructive conversations. The only conversations we saw from any of these couples were bad. Like, we only saw the fights and the arguments, and we really didn't see, like, any constructive conversations at all if they ever even happened. Maybe that's what the problem is. Maybe that's why we think they shouldn't be together.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Yeah. Like, hey, maybe we should have seen that conversation between Colby and Madeline where they, he owned up to it. I'm better off not seeing. Yeah. It's probably true. All right, everyone, welcome back to our Q&A segment. This week, we are talking about high school. We put it up on our Instagram.
Starting point is 00:37:22 People, thank you, submitted questions. And we will be answering what our, okay, let me just recent. No, no, no, you're good. Keep it going on. All right. We will be answering questions about what our high school experiences. warlike. And I'm going to make them a little bit quicker than last week's. Last week was a little bit more in-depth. Rapid fire. These will be a little bit more rapid fire. Ages. Yeah, we got chatty. A friend was drinking Celsius.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yeah, yeah. She wouldn't shut the fuck up. I'm kidding. Blab her mouth. I wouldn't shut up either. So it's, it's fair. But I hope you guys enjoyed that segment. Got to know us a little bit more. And as we go on, you guys will get to know us more and more. And the question, the Q&As will change over time. Sometimes it'll be about us. A lot of times will be about other topics. our opinion. If you want to ask advice, that type of thing. It's not always about us. Yeah, like, we had a very strong opinion on baby showers this week. Right, so maybe a topic will be about baby showers. Which would be funny because we actually know nothing about baby shower. Nothing. Like if
Starting point is 00:38:20 it turned into like advice, it'd be like, I don't know. I upset the baby shower community and I don't regret a single thing I said at all. Yeah. So let's get into the Q&A about high school. First question that I thought was funny, would would Ria and Fran have been friends in high school?
Starting point is 00:38:37 I don't think so. I also don't think so. That's a real answer. It is. Now, why don't you think so? You said you were cool. You were much more social earlier on than I was. Like, I just think, like, our paths, like, wouldn't have crossed.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Like, I think, like, by the time, like, I started to, like, go out and do stuff. like I was like a junior senior and you were out like, like you were out earlier. I just don't think like we would have had a similar social schedule. I think we would have talked in class. Yes. Yeah. Like you would have been like a school friend. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Like not an outside. What was the answer for this? Yeah. Absolutely. We'd be school friends not outside of school friends. I think that everyone had. We maybe would have became friends senior year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Like we would have hung out like in study hall and shit. But then we'd be like, have a nice weekend. Yeah. And then we come back and talk about our weekends. Yeah. It's also a young. I'm the youngest sibling or the oldest sibling. I have older siblings. So I was on the fast track of drinking and smoking. And you had to figure that out on your own. So different paths. What senior
Starting point is 00:39:48 superlative would you have one? We didn't have them. We barely had them either. They weren't anything good. It was like, most spirited. Like not anything like, I think that's usually what they are. I'm not a yearbook. I'm going to give a new best smile. Oh, thanks. That's really nice. You're welcome. You have probably best hair. Oh, thank you. That's a good one. I don't think, like, we did them in eighth.
Starting point is 00:40:11 We did them in eighth grade, but they were like a joke. What was your eighth grade one? We all had different ones. It was, what if? I don't even, maybe, I forget, there was three of them. It was like, what if something most likely to and usually found? mine was most likely to go to Georgetown so that's because were you like very openly like I love Georgetown all the time yeah yeah I mean my
Starting point is 00:40:44 parents both like is came for my parents um I usually found was making I think annoying my my friend Sean I was always making oh everyone had one everyone had one yeah I thought it was just like no no everyone had one on like there was only 26 kids in my eighth grade class that's insane so like the yearbook was just all like we all had our own page we all got to make like We made our, everyone had to make their own page, pick their own pictures. Yeah, we did all that too. Mine was the same thing. I got wildest in trendsetter.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Mine had been like, what if I didn't like the Eagles or something like that as well? Like, it was very typical. Scary. Yeah. What did you eat for lunch? Oh, our lunch situation was actually pretty solid. Like, we had, it changed every day, but there was always like salad, salad bar, but then there was always like sandwiches.
Starting point is 00:41:34 So you bought lunch? Like, you know, it was at school. But your mom didn't pack you lunch. No. My mom packed me lunch every day. She wrote a note on my brown paper bag. I was not embarrassed at all. People were jealous of it.
Starting point is 00:41:45 They wanted, my mom then started writing notes for other people. Yeah. I had a bologna and cheese sandwich or turkey and cheese with like a bag of chips and whatever. Yeah. Pickles on it too and mayonnaise. That sounds delicious. Yeah, it was delicious. Actually, there was a point.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Something's like I just can't even remember. Like, I don't even really remember what I was eating. There was a point. She started... Food was there was like, it was just there. There was a point... Yeah, we had a gourmet lunches. I just didn't want anything to do with them. There was a point she started giving me ham.
Starting point is 00:42:15 And I was like, no, no, no, no. So you never, like, bought at school? I could have. I didn't want to. I didn't trust... They had, like, it was like, ribby sandwiches. Like, really in pasta, like, really in deep lunches. I was like, I don't want my tummy to hurt at school.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Do you guys remember Izzy's? No. That was like, have you ever had an Izzy? That was like high school, middle school, they're like these, they're not soda, but they're like, I don't know how to describe it, but that's what I think of when I think of it. I had, I bought my lunches in middle school and elementary school. Sometimes my mom would pack, but sometimes the chicken sandwich patties were good. Pizza on Fridays. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I liked my middle school lunches better. The middle school lunches you had the schedule, like you would get in mail every month and you would know meatball sub day was real popular. Oh, yeah, Meatball Subday popped off. Would you have liked to gone to public school? No. I specifically did not want to go public school. I cried my eyes out when my parents. I was a really good student in elementary and middle school.
Starting point is 00:43:28 I went to Catholic school my whole life, obviously. Somebody wrote, did really go to Catholic school. Yes, I know the joke. but in ninth grade my first trimester that's what we called them um i did fucking terrible like i didn't care about school once i got to high school i only cared about going like out with my friends i didn't study at all i was really bad and if you went to kellenberg or any of those catholic high schools you know like how hard they are weirdly enough it just oh and my grades by the way i was an a1 for the people who know you know my siblings were an a too so i'm smarter than them but
Starting point is 00:44:03 But my grades were so bad the first trimester that my parents were like, we're not paying thousands of dollars for you to fucking go to this school. Yeah. If you're going to get these grades. And I, like, cried my eyes out being like, I don't want to go to public school. Like, I was such a little bitch. But I had never gone to public school, so I didn't want to go. I was the opposite where I got really bad grades.
Starting point is 00:44:25 My parents were like, we're going to send you to private. Like, we're going to send you to like. Oh, really? Yeah. And I was like, fuck. Yeah. No, my parents were like, we're not going to pay the money for you to get bad grades. If you want to go get bad grades, we'll send you to the public school while we don't have to pay.
Starting point is 00:44:36 I also never, like, I never went to public school and I was very scared to public school. Yeah, we're little pussies. I played, and there was like, I played like rec sports in town, like town sports. So I knew, like, I knew the girls, like, who went to the public school. I was like, I cannot go to school with that money. And just like the thought of like, they were more advanced. Yeah, it was just like, I just was afraid of fitting in. Like, I knew, like, if I went to a Catholic school, like, it was just familiar.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Our uniforms, didn't have to worry about all that stuff. Loved a uniform. And our public school, public school was a very, very good public school, but there was still, like, very much, you know, all these private schools and all the kids, good colleges. I mean, the public school did, too, but that played a factor. I also got a scholarship to high school. Oh, good for you. Good for me. That changed later, but did either of you get in trouble, like, detention or suspension
Starting point is 00:45:46 in high school? No. Never detention. We didn't really have detention. What? We didn't have, like, detention. We just got in trouble. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:58 What is getting in trouble, getting yelled at? Getting yelled at to the prince, maybe, like, yeah, that's actually it. No detention. in your high school? We got, I mean, maybe I'm remembering this wrong, but we just, like, we would get, like, you get, like, written up for certain things. Demerits. Yeah, but it wasn't, there was not, like, a set detention. I only got detention one time in my last trimester of high school, my senior year for having my phone out. And you just have to, like, rewrite, like, textbooks. There's, like, getting trouble for having our, like, skirt being too short. Oh, that was always a thing. Unroll your skirt. Yeah. I'm getting to merit. People get to merit. People get to merit. for having their skirts rolled. Uniform was a big thing. Like if you were wearing the wrong sweater, if you were wearing like a sweatshirt over your shirt.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Short can't be untouched. I always had my shirt on top of my skirt rolled all the time. I thought I was so cool. Did you have any problems with any teachers or? Not really. Towards the end I like definitely got away with trying to like not finish assignments and stuff because I was like I just can't. I'm over this.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah. I, my senior year is when I definitely started like talking back more to my teachers, which is very obnoxious. No, I liked, I thought that we had like a good rapport. Like I thought that I could like joke around. Like one time my teacher gave me the middle finger in class. Like it was he was cool. But then I had two other guy teachers where one time one of them kicked me out and told me to take laps around the high school because he was like, I'm tired of you talking. I obviously talked a lot in class. I'm a big talker. And then one teacher told me. me this was the end of junior year he said i pray to god i don't have you next year i said okay did you ever get in trouble could for being like that was your saying for being on your phone was that like the only thing the only i mean i only got in trouble one time for being on my phone being on your phone was a huge no-go like if same with us like you can you but everyone got we all got so good at um hiding like we had uh either like in our pockets or like our skirt even like the skirt pocket was big
Starting point is 00:48:03 enough where and that was the time like we all had blackberries. So like we got like so. Oh really? You had a blackberry. So fucking fat. Yeah. So fast at like BBM like messaging. Right. Right. I could I could I could have an entire conversation with you right now and like type out a full paragraph like on my Blackberry and it be totally like not a single typo. Right. And that and I would expect a blackberry to be harder. So we had to wear blazers. So our Blazers had huge pockets. Yeah. We had iPhones. So yeah. I had my iPhone in my pocket and would like touch yeah I remember I started talking that shows I was just I was just enough like age wise old like I didn't I think I got my first iPhone senior year of high school maybe beginning of college yeah because I got mine at the end of ninth grade yeah uh I was talking to a kid
Starting point is 00:48:54 from another school my senior year and so I was on my phone all my all the time like I was texting this kid 24-7 in my pocket. And I look back, I'm like, no, Ria. Did you have any relationships in high school, like real-deal relationships? One. There was, like, boys. Yeah, yeah. Same.
Starting point is 00:49:17 I never, like, none that I actually called, like, my boyfriend until senior year, which is when I was joking last week about my, like, Cinderella story. Yeah, he made you. Well, I started like, my parents, like, always really trusted my, trusted me. And then they started to go away and leaving, and would leave me home. I started having parties at the house. And, um. What a switch.
Starting point is 00:49:46 Yeah, what happened senior year before you? I'll, I'll tell you, I, they went away one time. And I had no, like, we didn't have people, they didn't have people to invite. Like, it was, like, not a thing. It was like our, end of, like, our junior year, maybe, junior year. and it was me and my friends, girlfriends, and like we literally knew, we knew more. I mean, I'm acting like we didn't ever talk to boys. We talked to boys, but we knew a couple from the public school and had said, like, oh, whatever, like, you know, friends, parents aren't here.
Starting point is 00:50:24 And within two hours, my house was entirely flooded with kids of people I've never. met before. Like it was like and what's, were you freaking out? Freaking out. I also had a thing like my friends joked about that I would get the drunkest at my own house because I always felt like I'm like, I'm at home. I can just go upstairs and go to bed.
Starting point is 00:50:44 Fair. Not smart. But it was. And then like we laughed at it later because one of my friends that I had met literally from doing these things. My friend Bridget, like she. She. Later I learned.
Starting point is 00:51:00 that she was like the one, because I was like, how are all these people like, I started being like, who told you to come here? Who do you know, bro? And they like all, who do you know here? And they all were like throwing out this girl's name. And I was like, what the fuck? Like, I don't even know who this is.
Starting point is 00:51:16 And then later she was like, she finally admitted, she was like, oh yeah, I literally text everyone was like some private school girl that we don't know. It has an open house. And like the entire, the entire, the entire, yeah, pretty much. That's actually amazing. And then I actually made, like,
Starting point is 00:51:30 made friends with a lot of people. Oh, that's great. From that slash that is how I met the boy that I did in high school. So that party changed your life. Oh my God. There was a group of boys that we all loved. Like, we all knew, even like me and my friends, we all knew who they were. And when they opened the door to my basement and like all walked in, I looked to Claire,
Starting point is 00:51:53 you know Claire. I looked to Claire and was like, oh, uh, like, we were like, oh my God. Oh, my God. Like, what do we do now? Like they're all here. You got a lot of it. I feel like everybody has a story like that because I have kind of a similar story where I was having a party at my house for my 18th birthday.
Starting point is 00:52:10 My parents were home, but they were like just have a party in the backyard, whatever. And I just invited like my friends and I heard someone at the gate to my backyard. And it was like these group of guys and the one kid I had like such a big crush on. But I didn't know him at all. But I had such a big crush on. And he was like, hey, Maria, can we come in? And I was like, yeah, absolutely. And then I made out with him on the side of my house that night.
Starting point is 00:52:36 I was pumped. Yeah. So it just, you know, it happens. I know. I dated one of them until, like, we left for college. That's awesome. The party worked out for you. I did have a relationship in high school from my sophomore year until we left
Starting point is 00:52:52 for college until on and off from my sophomore year until senior year. Yeah. On and off. It was a disaster. toxic. was so bad it was such a fucking disaster that's the one that you always say you learned the the rap for no no that was my sixth grade boyhood okay okay um re had a lot of boyfriends um but like fake boyfriend yeah starting from like fifth grade like i always had a boyfriend um but yeah this was like
Starting point is 00:53:16 a real deal boyfriend lost my virginity to him and everything it was a it was a mess it was a fucking disaster uh funny um um Do you remember your first day of ninth grade? Not like, kind of. The more I started to think about this, I'm like, fuck, I really don't remember a lot. Like, I, like, I don't know if I blocked it out or just. You must have. Don't, like, I should have writ that shit down.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Like, not real. But your first day was like orientation. It was all like ice breakers. I remember my first day. Oh, my God. I also think, like. I remember my first day in middle school. I can't remember my first day of high school.
Starting point is 00:54:02 No, high school I did. There were, the school I went to, like, there were already girls there. Like, it was, it's, it is technically K through 12. It's co-ed, K through 6, and then it goes all girls after. So there were like the seventh and eighth graders that were already, that all already knew each other. And it was like a very small class. And then they brought in, like, the same amount of new ninth graders.
Starting point is 00:54:26 And, like, everybody had to meet. And, like, they're already groups because there are already girls that went to the school already. They had already known each other. Yeah. So I just remember like doing a ton of like orientation type things. I remember my first grade day of ninth grade because I had a fucking asshole loser kid who was a year older than me block me from getting to my classes. Like he was standing in front of me. Maybe I went to school with boys I'd remember more. Yeah, probably. He like, he literally was like you're not like literally like was like blocking me in the
Starting point is 00:54:59 hallway. I was like I and I fucking hated him for the rest of my life. I mean, as you should. That's still hate him. Rude. Very. Just so obnoxious. They thought they were so cool. What clubs and sports did we participate in?
Starting point is 00:55:14 I did like a bunch of really random clubs that I keep like stupid stuff. I tried to start my own like TV club of like filming. Yeah. Sports games like doing things like that. You mean like production? Yeah. Oh wow. Which I tried to like start myself.
Starting point is 00:55:34 and then I did I played basketball up until like my feet just gave out on me and I got tendonitis in both my feet and then I was the manager for the rest of school that's fun though yeah it was fun it was fun because I did I love being the manager's fun you don't actually have to play I loved being on the team and I loved the girls and like hang out with everyone but then I was like I'm like and I wasn't great like it was I was a very average basketball player and then I mean, I was still kind of horseback riding a little bit, too, so that, like, wasn't too much. But other than that, I'd, yeah, no horseback rider. No other sports. I did, um, not, there wasn't really any really super athletic.
Starting point is 00:56:17 Fun, fun, fun clubs in my school. Yeah. They were very, like, school-oriented. Like, I didn't have any interest in them. Like, the area that I'm from is, like, it's very girl-wise. It's like, you play field hockey or lacrosse. Yeah. And I played neither, right?
Starting point is 00:56:32 So. I was a cheerleader. I talk about high school, I sound like such an asshole. Yeah. I was a cheerleader. And then I also, there's this thing called blue and gold. And it's basically like, I don't even know how to describe it. Like, there was tumbling, hip hop, all different dance things.
Starting point is 00:56:49 And then, like, narration. And it's like this one big show. And, like, there's a gold team and a blue team. And then they, it's like a competition. And, like, they each put on the performance. And I did tumbling one year. And then my senior year, I was, I did. the narration, which is like the act you act now.
Starting point is 00:57:06 So that was fun because I don't think anyone saw that coming from me, because I didn't do theater or anything. My mom, I think I might have, honestly think I might have sent it to you. My mom sent me a video the other day of like my like fourth grade, fifth grade camp, acting camp like monologue. Did I ever send that to you? I'd love to watch it. I'm never going to show it to you.
Starting point is 00:57:29 Please do. My mom sent to me was like, can I send this to me? And I said, no. Please send it to me. Because I was like, this cannot be up on the internet. I sound like the brat. It's just like I need to see it. I'll show it to you after.
Starting point is 00:57:42 I need to see it. What were your friend groups like in high school? Are you still friends with the same people in your friend group? Mine changed. Like I had the girls I went to school with. And then later I made a really close group with girls that went to public school and like socially I started to hang out with them like a lot more and then I kind of stayed closer with them after high school. I'm not I'm not really close with anybody I went to
Starting point is 00:58:15 high school with still. Yeah. And I think a lot of that came down to like I stayed close with a lot of girls. I mean that's not true. I am friends like I am friends with girls I went to high school with. But like the group that I was the closest with, I think like, there was a when a shit ton of stuff went down in my own life like I just I cut myself off from them and then like they vice versa right and then we just kind of stopped talking and then it was yeah it was like up like we don't really talk anymore that happens yeah I'm all of my close girlfriends are just still the ones up from high school because I didn't really go to college and some of them live in different states now yeah so one is part of my family one might as well be a part
Starting point is 00:59:01 to my family. Like, it's, I still talk to all of them, so. Yeah. I, when I like, and it's hard, it's hard when you don't, you don't see people who you stop talking in, in college, like, we definitely lost touch and I, you know, had my own wonky path to this. And then I did, like, find a really good group of friends that I did go to college with when I was there. Yeah. And they're all in New York, so they're all my, like, they're all my closest friends now. I definitely cut all them off at some point, too in my first year so of college and then I just had no friends. Like I was like, I literally had no friends.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I cut everyone out because I felt so weird that I was dropping out of school and I became like super moody and like lonely and like It was like embarrassing and then you're like everyone's you know everyone's talking about you but they're not saying it to your face and they're not talking to you. My friends went to like San Diego State, Arizona State
Starting point is 00:59:54 like they were going to like all these big colleges and then like I just wasn't going to school. And so I became super like I want to be by myself. If anything, it was like from our own doing now. And in the time, like, I felt like it was not. And looking back, it totally was. And then I reached back out to them when I felt normal again.
Starting point is 01:00:10 And now we all talk. College is such like a, we had like college day, our senior year where like everyone wears the shirt where they're going. And it was just like the most like bragging thing. It was like so gross. Like everyone's just like bragging about where they're going. Oh, that goes in like the end of year like newsletter to everyone. Oh, they did that too.
Starting point is 01:00:30 They like send it out like, here's where everyone's going. Yeah. Did you, um, have any like big, big scandals? Like in your high school? No. I mean, yeah, I'm sure. Nothing I can remember at the time. There was a very funny and this is not a scandal and has nothing to do like with like anything
Starting point is 01:00:58 scandalous. But it is funny because it is one of the things. sometimes I remember and laugh about, like, freshman or sophomore year, there was a rumor that we all fell for so hard that we, like, now I laugh because it's so funny, but we believe them so, like, I don't know what happened, but the boys at one of the boys' schools near us. There's like a lot of all boys schools, a lot of all-girl schools. And so one, like, I don't know where it started, even to this day, like, who started. But it was just a rumor that, like, Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 01:01:30 was like touring the school. And once that, it started to go around our school and like all, we all started freaking out, like, freaking out, losing our shit, totally like being like, oh my God. And now looking back was like, why did we ever think that that was legitimate? Like these guys like just ever think that Justin Bieber would be touring your school. Like to come, like to go to school? Yeah, to like go to this all-boys school. And we were like, it was.
Starting point is 01:01:59 In New Jersey. Yes. Yes. Exactly. Exactly. Lives in Canada. Exactly. It made no sense.
Starting point is 01:02:06 But like now looking back, it was, uh, it was very, very funny. But there wasn't, there was always like crazy relationship shit that like everyone would follow. But I didn't have like a friend get pregnant or like any like big thing that goes through the school. Like none of that happened in my school either. but my best guy friend got expelled in our last trimester of high school because he was selling weed brownies. And the people who bought them got suspended and like kicked off our Disney trip, but he got expelled. Which I thought was silly because it was literally like we were in the final months of high school.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Yeah. And he had never like gotten in trouble before. Like it wasn't like he had like multiple detentions or like got, like his record was clean. Yeah. And he got fucked and he never finished high school basically. He's good now. Yeah, yeah. Whatever his job and whatever.
Starting point is 01:03:00 But yeah, he got super fucked. But I was like, if those kids bought him, why not just give him the same punishment? Yeah. Like, I don't know. I thought that. That was like the craziest thing that happened in an hour. We were like, whoa, because it was actually like one of my best friends, too. So it was like, oh, fuck.
Starting point is 01:03:16 He's fucked. Did you have a favorite subject? No. I was definitely always more on the. like English literature side. I liked those classes better than the others. We did science. Like I hate it.
Starting point is 01:03:38 I did not. I liked biology. But we did science in an unfortunate order. Like I know most, I feel like most people don't take like physics till later in high school. And we took physics freshman year. And that was just so miserable. But Matt, like didn't really care for them. I always liked my English and lit classes better.
Starting point is 01:04:01 I don't, I wouldn't say I had a favorite subject. I always said English, but that's a lie. You know, like, I just picked English as my favorite subject. Just not available. N.A. N.A. But English is way better than math or science. Well, some people are math than science people.
Starting point is 01:04:15 No, I know, I know. That's true. Yeah. Yeah. All right, I think we can end on this. They're all pretty similar, but I think we can end on this. What advice would you give to your high school self? Earlier on,
Starting point is 01:04:28 I would have said, like, loosen up a little bit. It was more just, I just was so, like, nervous about so many things. And I think high school, you're also so stressed about college. Like, the college process is, I, I, now, like, I look back on, like, I can't believe, like, how crazy I was when it came down to, like, that stuff. And even, even, like, family members and parents, like, I just wish everyone would have just calmed down. down a little bit. Yeah. And then, yeah, I feel like that's, I don't know, everything just feels like such a big deal.
Starting point is 01:05:09 And then it's just not. It's really not. It's just not. Yeah, my advice would have been to chill the fuck out when I came to my boyfriend in high school and like, you're not going to marry this person. So stop thinking that you're going to marry him because you're not and you need to stop sending him paragraphs about why you think you're going to end up with him and how he shouldn't be breaking up with you. Like, don't, don't do that. Yeah. Oh my God. Do you want to hear a funny story?
Starting point is 01:05:35 Yeah. Just to end? Just to close. She was sitting on it. She was like, you guys want to hear the story. Yeah. No, just to close. Because I feel like there was one so. And this just also goes to show how funny high school is sometimes. Senior year. And I think this one is okay. When I posted this on the share on Instagram, Claire, like, replied and was like, there are some things. Don't you dares to talk about. And I was like totally fair. Like I totally fair. But we, me and my boyfriend have broken up over like, close to like winter break senior year.
Starting point is 01:06:11 I don't even remember why he broke up with me. I don't, not quite sure. Senior year. Senior year. We got back together like three weeks later. And my friends that I had made like recently, like recently who went to public school who I had been with constantly because like these were these were who we were out with on Friday Saturday, Saturday, Sunday like always doing stuff
Starting point is 01:06:35 together and when that happened one I had like a couple of friends who were on vacation so like they were kind of out of it and then I had some like some that they just literally stopped talking to me and Claire like they were like well she and they're broken up like we they want to to make sure that they were still invited to the parties. And if, like, I wasn't going to be invited at the parties. Like, they were like, well, yeah, they can't be going. And it was so dramatic. And I don't even know why we, like, we thought it was, we started to throw, like,
Starting point is 01:07:11 yogurt on people's cars. And so in this, like, span of week where I'd gotten broken up with, like, was very upset. I, of course, like, I can't remember what even really was the reason. but was very upset. My friends weren't talking to me. Like, I have this hilarious scrapbook that Claire made that was like the two weeks we didn't do anything. And it just like is funny pictures and stories and shit. And that just like kind of became our thing after that like when boys were annoying or mean to us or like did anything we like would throw yogurt on their windshields.
Starting point is 01:07:52 I kind of love that. And it was, it's honestly a very annoying thing. to clean up. It's very annoying, but also probably very therapeutic. Very annoying thing to clean up. But therapeutic. Yeah. So it helped you? Yeah. Good. It did. That's all that matters for it. Yep. Like we'd have someone like drive up to a drive away. Oh, drive-bys are the best. Yeah. Yeah. I've been a part of a couple of those. Nothing, nothing crazy, but like you drive and throw something or. I had one friend that was, get into like a little bit of a car chase. I had one friend that was a queen of like, let's just like go drive by his house. Like for no reason. Oh my God. Just to see if like if you, if his car was in the the driveway. One of my best friends to all the fucking time. Let's go drive by it past his house. One time we literally got into a car chase with another group of girls because we followed them going to like one of
Starting point is 01:08:36 the guys' houses. And we were like we will fucking we rode like literally the back of their car. We rode them like just in circles and circles until they gave up and they like they opened up their car door and then slammed it. Like they thought they were. I was like, all right. Yeah. This chase is over. Yeah. Yeah. I'll end up on that. Good stuff. Yep. We have a great interview with La La Kent. She is the best. She's just my favorite. So we'll get into that. But first, true bill, guys, I want to talk to about this app.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I've been using it. I love it. I think it's great. I think it has helped me manage my money and keep things organized. Like, I went to get my hair done this week. And it's an expense. These things aren't cheap. and so like I got an email from True Bill
Starting point is 01:09:27 from my account being like, hey, just, you know, want to flag this large sum. I was like, yeah, that's right. That's me. I did that. But it's like nice to see and keep you aware of what you're spending your money on. It also helps to identify and stop paying for subscriptions you don't need, want, or simply forgot about. Starting point is 01:09:51 Because companies make subscriptions hard to cancel, True Bill makes it incredibly simple. Just link your accounts and Trubble will cancel your unwanted subscriptions in one tap. I also did that. I got rid of four subscriptions that I forgot that I had and didn't realize we're charging me like a lot of money a month. So then that adds up. You can also see how much per month or per year you're spending on subscriptions.
Starting point is 01:10:15 That's also eye-opening and will make you think, oh, I should probably change some of these things. True Bill has the True Bill concierge So you can use that When you need to cancel unwanted subscriptions It comes from them So you don't have to

Starting point is 01:10:49 guest. We are joined by the lovely Lala Kent. She's been on the show many times before and we are happy to have you in studio. In person. I know. This is so much fun. I love that you referred to me as lovely. That's a first. I was like, what adjective am I going to
Starting point is 01:11:05 go with? I was going to go beautiful. And then I was like, that's superficial even though you are. So I went lovely. Yes. Perfect. How are you doing? How is your life going right now? You're on a very quick New York trip. We're doing it in a New York minute. Yeah. I'm making mom.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Job jokes now. What is this? Yep. With the Mary Kay and Ashley movie. Totally. Great, but I have seen it. Everything's great. We're here promoting the paperback of the book. Here we are. We got a lot of people with books lately, and we've, I think, our new master the...
Starting point is 01:11:36 Under the table. Under the table. And then, boom, right in front of us. You know exactly how to do it. Everything's great. I'm in a really great space. That's great. It's lovely to hear. How do you feel about now we're moving? I feel like, you know, it's been out where people have really dug into it. How was the feedback from the book? I've gotten amazing feedback. And if there hasn't been any positive feedback, I haven't seen it. So we'll just pretend it doesn't exist.
Starting point is 01:12:03 If I haven't seen it, it doesn't exist. But now I feel like I've like fully given birth to the book. You know, it's like, here's the paperback. We have the national bestseller stamp, which feeds my ego tremendously. I was going to say that. How does that feel? That feels amazing. You know, I went into this.
Starting point is 01:12:18 And it was like, I feel like every, I'm not a writer, but anyone who's coming out with a book, like their main goal is like New York Times bestseller, right? It didn't happen. Remember what you now on the show. Right? That's like your main goal. And then when they told me that it was a national bestseller, I was like, I feel like this feels equally as amazing.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Like we came out with this book mid-pandemic and we fucking killed it. A bestseller is a bestseller. To me, as far as I'm concerned. Listen, don't even tell me what the truth is because just, just, just for me hearing it, national bestseller sounds a little bit better in my ears. I'll take it. National bestseller. Right.
Starting point is 01:12:56 I like it. Yes. I'm super proud of what the book did. Yeah, definitely. And you have, you're a busy, busy woman. Your daughter turned one last month. It's very strange. Like, I look at her and I have moments of like, whoa.
Starting point is 01:13:13 I'm someone's parent. That's terrifying. You're a full-blown mother. Yes. She is, what, do we have words, walking? Like, where is she at? We have a lot of like, Bubba, wah, wah, mama, like, anything like that. That's how we communicate.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Yeah. She started walking, but then she realizes she's walking and starts to trip out a little bit and gets back down. Yeah. But it's such a fun age. And I've realized, like, she just is who she is. Like, there's nothing I can change about her, right? Like, I can teach her, like, the basics of life.
Starting point is 01:13:44 Like, be kind to people, work hard. but as far as like who she is that is just that's you know she looks at me like fuck you and I tell her to do things I'm like stop touching it and she literally looks me dead in my eyes like mom go fuck yourself yeah and you're like that's my kid
Starting point is 01:14:02 babies crack me up when that's when it's like that too especially I've I've a ton of younger cousins and my boyfriend has younger nieces and nephews and they like when you grab a handle something and you catch them and you're like don't don't pull that drawer right don't pull that drawer and they just look at you and they go right and pull the drawer as hard as they can what is that it's almost like a dog too yeah just for my experience no my dog listens to me yeah ocean doesn't care and i feel like that's how like a lot of my friends who have kids they can say like uh-uh
Starting point is 01:14:40 and their kid will move their hand back like that sounds like a word i'm not supposed to that's a no for me. She doesn't care. I'm like, oh my God, when she's older, I'm in deep shit. I'm scared. It'll be fun. It will be fun. How was filming with her? That was easy because in California, they treat kids on a reality show, just like they would have scripted show. So because she was still so young, they only allowed the babies to film for 20 minutes. And then it was like, the baby's got to go elsewhere, which some of our producers don't have kids. Yeah. And they're like, the baby's time is up. I'm like, and where do you want me to put her? So it kind of worked out for you. Yes, a clock out. We have someone here. Who is she? I don't know
Starting point is 01:15:24 this person. You're just supposed to hand my kid off to her. No, she was always safe. But I'm like, this is very weird. Like 20 minutes and then you're expecting me to like stop being a mom. Yeah. And how did you control and decide what you wanted to be seen on this season with her? They kind of requested her. They were like, hey. requested. Will Ocean be home because we would love to get you with her? And I'm like, yeah. Yeah. No, she's out at the bar already. Yeah. Yeah. She's actually down to tequila soda to the She has plans. I also just love the name Ocean. Like every time I hear it, I love that name. Sometimes you hear people's kids names, right? It's like something different. Like Ocean is very
Starting point is 01:16:08 different, right? And you're like, where did they come up with that? But it's such a beautiful name. Thank you. I've had that name like in the back of my. head for like three years and whether she was a boy or a girl it was like that was always going to be the name and has she felt like an ocean because you know recently some celebrities changed their kids names apparently that's a thing yeah yeah we just didn't feel like it was her yeah it's just like he didn't seem like Kylie Jenner's like he wasn't really a wolf so we changed his name and now we don't know what it is but it's not wolf no how do you know with your kid at that age what the name what is them who are they they all look the same like little
Starting point is 01:16:46 baby aliens. Like, so just weird. I guess maybe you could and just be like, you are just not ocean, I guess, right? Like, you could. But she is. She's totally an ocean. And I feel like she's such a force already. And she's only one.
Starting point is 01:17:02 And I'm like, my kid is here to fuck shit up. Like we're not playing. You know? What's more powerful than the ocean? Nothing. That's a great point. And how is she getting along with obviously your other castmates? other babies. Yeah, the other babies. How is that going? Because,
Starting point is 01:17:20 and early friendships, feuds. You're looking at it, you're looking at me like, that's a crazy question. No, no. It seems like all the castmates had babies at the same time. Yeah. Yeah. I love the way you ask me questions about Ocean. I'm sorry, it's so good. Yeah. You can tell we don't have kids? Totally. That it's my favorite. I love it. Um, no, can I tell you? She's like, she's like a good, a good friend. And the way you're answering, the questions are exactly how I'm asking them. So funny. She is.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Does she share? Yes. There you go. She fucking shares already. Can I curse on the podcast? Yes. I haven't been able to curse all day. If you weren't able to curse, I'd have to cut out half of your podcast and also half of what we say.
Starting point is 01:18:05 Okay. You're good. No, like Cruz, Britney's baby will take her toys and stuff. And she does this thing where she goes, and then she calls. down. She's so sweet. That's so sweet. She looks at me like, I don't need you and you're full of shit. But with the babies, she's like, very nice. Who's your favorite baby? Now I'm just, I'm feeding into it. I don't know. That's such an excellent question, though. She's very drawn to Cruz. But she looks at Hartford, like she's a cool kid because she's older. You know how, you know.
Starting point is 01:18:42 Yeah. Older babies. She can sense. Like, older. equals cooler. Yeah. Yeah. That's so funny. Did you, did you envision yourself as the mom who was going to throw the big all-out first birthday? Or did you like laugh at that? It was my biggest fear. Okay. Becoming a mom, most people are like, I'm just afraid for this, that, and the other. I'm like, how do you plan a birthday party? I don't even throw myself birthday parties because I'm like, what does one even do? The pictures for Ocean's birthday were stunning. I had a lot of help. I had a lot of help. Yeah. So I'm great at like envisioning things, but making them come to fruition is not a solid.
Starting point is 01:19:26 Like I just can't do it. Yes. So I told the party planner and my assistant, my entire brain, what I was envisioning. And then they brought it to life. And I feel like we killed it. Yeah. Dream team. They were, it's stunning. I do feel like with an ocean, a name like Ocean, how do you ever have a theme that's not that kind of thing? Can I tell you that I felt so lame? They were like, what's the theme of the birthday? And I was like, like, under the sea, but it's not like Disney, like very chic, but not like mermaid.
Starting point is 01:20:00 You're nuts. You're a crazy person. But no, how do I? Actually, when she turns 11, I want to do an Ocean's 11 theme party. Oh. Yeah. That's really smart. Really looking forward to that birthday.
Starting point is 01:20:13 That is a good one. That's going to be quite some time since the movie's. Now we'll should be... I'm like, it's a throwback kid. Watch it. It's a classic. And I feel like by 11,
Starting point is 01:20:24 is that an age-appropriate movie? It doesn't have to. It doesn't matter. Not at all. Not at all, right? It's really inappropriate. It's completely inappropriate. You put them all in the outfits
Starting point is 01:20:33 and then you say it's a movie you guys can watch in a few years. Totally. Well, it's all about the parents, really. Yes. You know? Like everyone at Ocean's Party,
Starting point is 01:20:41 I should not be saying this, but I'm looking around because I'm sober. I'm like, everyone's a little drunk that is one of the biggest things that I have also realized about people's kids birthdays and I hear about that Coke in the bath
Starting point is 01:20:57 whoa not that I was just saying I heard stories like that I was just saying more that like I've heard a party planning and being like oh well we got do we have enough booze for the party I'm like what do you mean do you have enough booze for the party you have to stock it like it's a full event it's like a frat house you know because think about
Starting point is 01:21:15 it like you're taking these parents away on a Saturday and I'm sure they like want to be watching football if that was even on I don't even know. But there's like a million other things and then I'm sure the moms are like Fred get dressed. We have to go to the birthday. We have Ocean's first birthday party. It sounds like such a buzzkill like a kid's birthday and a lot of my friends don't have kids. So I needed to like give them what they wanted as well. They're taking a Saturday to my kid. I had a petting zoo at my first birthday. Oh no. My birthdays were not like I would say all I don't remember but it was there all my birthdays were catered to my parents
Starting point is 01:21:51 yeah totally like it was like we're gonna have a cake for you but the party itself is like all of my parents and their friends just drinking and having a good time but I'm just running around with my friends totally like it had nothing to do with me besides the cake no your birthday was an excuse for your friends to have a party yes yeah my parents they're like ice luge whatever I don't know they're like they brought all of their friends
Starting point is 01:22:13 to get wasted on your birthday You're welcome. Yeah. And I actually wouldn't want it any other way. Absolutely. Because then my parents would complain when I'm older. Right. Like now.
Starting point is 01:22:22 Like now. Yeah. So, this is a switch. But you and Raquel just did a campaign, right? Yeah. I love that you called it a campaign. It was a campaign. Yes, bitch.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Yeah. Yeah, we did. That's how you mark it. The campaign. You fake it until you make it. Yeah. I mean, the one, I thought it was great because I think it was, it had the surprise factor of like it being Raquel.
Starting point is 01:22:47 Right. And so beautiful. Thank you. So beautiful. I love that palette. And I asked her because I've evolved a lot. Yeah. I was like, are you okay with me creating a Bambi-eyed bitch palette and the names
Starting point is 01:23:00 in it like kind of leaning towards when I almost ripped your head off? Yeah. Are you? Can you laugh about it yet? Yeah. And she was totally down. So it was weird. We've come full circle.
Starting point is 01:23:12 is that right? Halfway. We're on the other side maybe. Right. I think that's smart though. We've come full circle. I'll be ripping her head off again very soon. Very smart to play into it though. Fans love that and also just shows like how you guys have a good sense of humor. Yeah. That's how I felt about it. Like we're on a show where we're going to be like going toes often. And I think we should profit off of it instead. Yeah. I'm smart. I think you're very right. You know, the show has evolved so much. Like, do
Starting point is 01:23:42 Did you feel like this last season was one of the most different seasons that you guys have filmed? Yeah, it was different because a lot of our friends weren't a part of it anymore. That was so trash. Yeah. I'm so sorry. So cool. You probably feel so good doing that because you're not allowed to do that in any other interview that you do. No, I know.
Starting point is 01:24:08 And everyone at Watch What Happens Live was like, cocktailing. And I'm like, I have to smack my baby. All I have, don't take it from me. I also like how you referred to it as smacking your babe. Yeah. Smack that shit. What was the question? Different.
Starting point is 01:24:24 Yeah. It was different in the sense that like a lot of our friends were not a part of the show anymore. So it was like we had to pick up a lot of slack obviously, like still be interesting. And then just like, you know, because people can already come for you, the trolls online on how you act. now you get to say like you're a mom and act that way so that was that was intense well let me tell you I applaud you because I this is what we always say like Lala understands the assignment always like yes their show was different and if there aren't any of those moments like if you don't have a
Starting point is 01:25:03 hot-headed moment every once in a while or like something happens right it would be so boring and also especially now with the show being so different and then some of the the people not being on there and like Stasi not being on there. It's like, well, then what is the show going to be? Someone needs to bring it right. If none of you have a personality, what are we watching? That's how I feel. And I also wouldn't be you if you didn't have those moments. Yes. Yeah. And I feel like it's the perfect way for me to be able, because they encourage you. Like, if you have a thought, like, say it. So I never like have to take a beat. It's like, this is how I'm feeling. It's very therapeutic. Yeah. And.
Starting point is 01:25:41 There were times where I watch reality TV pretty religiously so I can be involved in it, but also come from a place where like what is going to be interesting? Like, is this thought even interesting or should I just keep it to myself? And anytime I leave and I'm like, you acted a damn fool. Yeah. I flip to the other side and I'm like, okay, but we made great TV. So shake it off, bitch. Like people will watch and that's all we can ask for.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Yeah. Yeah, I think that's a great way to look at it. I feel like obviously we watch tons of reality TV and nobody wants to watch a show where everybody gets along and nobody fights. And then I think that some people have a hard time as a viewer. And I think that we understand that. You understand that you say you watch a lot of reality TV. And because you're on it, you know what to do.
Starting point is 01:26:34 But some people who watch have never put themselves in your shoes. Right. And they just view it as like strictly. I'm watching somebody on TV act a fool like you said and I'm just going to judge that but they're not thinking like this is great TV I know why else are you watching
Starting point is 01:26:50 it right now because that person made great TV right they don't think of it like that like I may not be your favorite person on the show you may say like Raquel is so sweet I love her but you ain't tuning in to watch Raquel no I love Raquel right but doesn't that just get you
Starting point is 01:27:07 like sometimes you're like somebody being nice is in everything. Right. For reality TV, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, just because they're nice, isn't everything. No, I agree with you. You have to have some conflict. You have to have some conversation. And I do think, like, what happened with you and Sheena and that relationship over the whole season was really
Starting point is 01:27:28 kind of one of the biggest things that happened for most of the season that we watched. How have you guys been since rapping and talking? Are you, what's your relationship like currently? I feel like we're the closest we've ever been and we're like on the same page and we deal with each other very differently. That this whole season, it was like this is a make or break moment. Yeah. Like we either want to be in each other's lives or like you're my enemy. Yeah. That's how she felt about me too.
Starting point is 01:27:58 And I think because we both have kids, I mean, that wasn't the only reason I care about her deeply. But you start thinking differently when you have children. and it's like, I want our kids to grow up and be friends. I, like, that's something that's important to me. And I think we both decided in that moment to put all issues aside, start from scratch. And we've actually been killing it. That's great. Why are I blanking on China's baby's name?
Starting point is 01:28:23 Summer Moon Honey. Love that name. I think you guys all have great names. And can I tell you, I never. Summer Moon always just makes me think of Sailor Moon, but that's also a great name. Sailor Moon was a great show. I have heard of Sailor Moon. I cannot call Summer Moon just Summer.
Starting point is 01:28:41 Like I always say Summer Moon. Yeah. It's like such a catchy name. It is. Rolls off the tongue for sure. It does. When you guys aren't filming and shit hits the fan, you know, now Katie and Tom broken up. And it's like, do you ever think, oh, my God, these are the times that we should be filming?
Starting point is 01:29:00 It's funny you say that because it's when other people's shit is happening where I'm like, pick up the camera. Yeah. When it's happening to me, I'm like, thank God we're not filming. It was just too much. I know. That was just seeing that, one seeing that news, it was like, it was shocking. And then it was like, oh, my God, selfishly, it's like, oh, my God, I wish they were, they wish they were filming. I know.
Starting point is 01:29:19 You say it was shocking. And I don't want to come across rude. I did not find it to be shocking. Yeah, you did not. Splitting? Yeah. I was kind of, I agree with you. But then when you, when you, like, break it down and you have your friends say, like, I'm filing for divorce.
Starting point is 01:29:36 It's like, whoa. this just got very real. Instead of the little fights that they're having that you hear about when you hear that it's actually happening. And I always am under the impression that like you see a couple argue on reality TV and in real life, yes, of course they argue but it's probably not as
Starting point is 01:29:55 dramatic sometimes on TV. It's either not as much or way more. Yeah, yeah. Right, like it's kind of it's one way or the other like they're amping it up or yeah. But they seem like very amicable Oh, it was like the, like, it was a very polite breakup. Very polite breakup. Like, apologizing to each other. I know. Yeah. And then like going to have drinks. Yeah. I think that's until somebody starts dating somebody else. So many people have said that. They're like, it's calm now. But the second one of them starts dating is when it's not going to be so calm. How's the dating life been for you? Anything good?
Starting point is 01:30:31 No. I haven't had sex in so long. So I saw you. I wanted to bring that up. But I'm. I was waiting for you to break it up because I don't want to be like, I read that you are just not fucking, I'm not fucking. I'm an open book. Let's talk about my vagina. I would love it. I forgot where I read this. You must have done an interview somewhere or maybe it's in your book, but you just talked about how sex is so different to you now. I look at it differently.
Starting point is 01:30:55 And this is something like not to get heavy. All at some point when the waters are calmer have to go and do tremendous work to try and work through everything that I've experienced. But right now, sex to me just feels so almost dirty. Yeah. You know, just because I think about the person I was with and what he was doing behind my back. And I'm like, wow, it's not like sex to me. It's feeling like betrayal and just gross. And I'm, you guys, if you've watched the show, you know me.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Like, I was all about like, power to the pussy. Fucking one night's step. Give it up to whoever you want. And now I'm like, don't touch me. Don't talk about it. Like I hear my friends talk about how they like gave a blowjob and I'm like, whore. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:43 I'm like, who am I? And I don't feel that way. I'm just in this funk where I will have to go and do a lot of work on myself. Yeah. I saw a clip and I think it was from the reunion where they were pushing back on you a lot about not knowing at the time when you got together with Randall and whatever. And I kind of felt bad for you a little bit because. I felt like you were kind of put in this position or they were trying to make it seem like you had known everything about this guy and that you made these decisions and then almost
Starting point is 01:32:19 not believing that you didn't know what he was doing? You know what I'm saying? Right. Like if he was able to hide all of this stuff from you, then he was able to hide the stuff from you when you got together. Well, he did. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It seemed like the cast and Lisa.
Starting point is 01:32:36 we're kind of trying to make it seem like, no, you knew all of that, which I felt a little bad for you for. I'm actually glad that I wasn't physically at the reunion because I feel like there were so many side comments being made, but because there was a delay and I was virtual, it gave me, you know, I wish that I could say like, no, I just handled myself that well. It's like, no, it's because I wasn't hearing a lot of the side comments. I think that's what it was the side comments because I was like, I mean, you clearly didn't know everything.
Starting point is 01:33:05 So how are you supposed to know everything at the beginning? No, I mean, it is what it is. My relationship from the time I met that person to the time that it ended was a complete lie. There's not one piece of it that is truthful. Yeah. The only truth that came out of it is myself and my daughter, Ocean. That's where the truth started and where it ended.
Starting point is 01:33:27 The person that I met, you know, I have, I hate saying this because I got my beautiful daughter out of the relationship. but I truly regret the day that I met that person. Like, I just can't fathom how this person looks themselves in the mirror, how they sleep at night. And there will be a day where all the truths are revealed because this isn't about Lala's mad that she got cheated on. That I can shake off. There's so much that goes into it that I look forward to the day that it's exposed. and right now I just have to focus on my own mental health, which I feel like I'm doing
Starting point is 01:34:10 shockingly great. I mean, the things that I have found out about that I've just been able to say like, we're going to bite our tongue, we're going to sleep great, we're going to take care of this kid. You know, I haven't skipped a beat. And there will be a time, like I said, where it will all be exposed. That's just how the universe works. But to say that I knew what I was getting into when I met him, I did not. Yeah. And I'm kicking myself because I'm like, how could you be so stupid? But on the flip side, you know, it's like I believe in love. I believe in marriage. My parents were together for 40 years before my dad passed. So what people are saying, like when Raquel said,
Starting point is 01:34:50 I knew her as the mistress, I resent that comment so much because it couldn't be further from the truth. And like I said, there will be a day where I can talk about my truth. I don't know when that is, but I was completely blindsided. I mean, everyone saw my reaction when I found just a simple picture of him walking across the street. That's it. It's all it entailed. I was gone. Yeah. So I also think that they were kind of using what you were saying during the relationship with him against you, being like, well, you always like, whatever. But when you're in a relationship, sometimes you know or you have feelings, but you don't want to let your friends know or the people in your life know that you're feeling a certain way. So you just like hype them up or you know what I mean,
Starting point is 01:35:33 like make him seem like a great guy. Yeah. Because you want your friends to think he's a great guy. Yeah. It was hard for me with the show because anytime I went to film, I mean, I won't even lie. Anytime I went to film, we were always arguing before I would get to filming. It was a constant argument. But then on the flip side, it was always him asking, did you talk about me? Did you tell them anything? So the people that knew my relationship well, my mother, my best friend since childhood, my brother, like, no one from the show knew because I didn't want to deal with having to come home and be questioned about what I chose to share. It was just easier to shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Yeah. Yeah. And I certainly, knowing what I know now, would not have gone to bat for this person. I certainly wouldn't have written about him the way I wrote about him in the book. Right. Yep. You know? Yep.
Starting point is 01:36:24 Yeah. So now, I mean, moving forward, because it's just like, can put that. man in the past? Totally. What's your, it does sound like you still have hope, though, for love and a relationship. And now, how do you think you get to the place of trust? Because if you feel, like, you know, I'm hearing you talk about sex that way. It's like that also comes in with trust.
Starting point is 01:36:49 Like when you trust someone, then sex is great. When you don't trust someone. Right. I actually was talking to my friend. You guys know I'm sober. I've been sober for three and a half years. But she was telling me about. like these mushroom trips that people do for have you done one yeah and I changed my entire life
Starting point is 01:37:07 changed okay so when like I said the waters are calmer and I can finally refocus you know on myself and just get back to where I need to be I would love to do that because I think that I just I don't feel right about going into a therapist I love therapy by the way but having someone say here's a prescription. Like I'd much rather go a holistic route. And you saying that it changed your life? Ask her. Like, it was pretty like, I had so many thoughts in my head and I had been feeling a certain way for like maybe a full year. Yeah. Like I was just so down. I had a lot of anxiety, like really bad anxiety, depression. I didn't want to get up some days. Like, it was just really dark. And then I did a bunch of shrooms. Yeah. And it was like I woke up. Like, I'm not kidding. We were on a
Starting point is 01:37:57 flight home from, I did them in L.A. We were on a flight home to L.A. I turned her and I told her all of my thoughts and she was like, I know, I've just been waiting for you to say this. And like, and then she got chills. No, no. And then I completely, like, and I didn't really buy into it at first. And then she said to me, she was like, the clarity I have.
Starting point is 01:38:14 There was no turning in my life. There was no turning back. Like there was like, I need to talk to this person, that person, this person. And I was telling her and I was like, there's no doubts in my mind that I have to do this. And like, from there, my life has been dramatically better. Like my anxieties and it really comes here and there, but it's basically non-existent at this point. Like, I wouldn't say it like fully, you know, magically heal me, but I will say that it gave me so much clarity. And people, I, I laugh about this all the time because when people bring it up, I'm like, I'm telling you, like, I told my,
Starting point is 01:38:47 my parents were like, wow. Like, I was just like a new person and like not like in a weird way. Like, it was more so I went back to my old self before I had. all the anxiety and depression. Like it was just so clear to me what I wanted in my life and what wasn't working. Like I finally figured it out. See, when I hear stories like that because it's been so many people that are like, there's like retreats you can go to where you spend two days of just like tripping out. But like it's a purge.
Starting point is 01:39:16 And like if someone were to say like you need to go and get fucked up on vodka, it'll help you. Then I'd be like, that's a slippery slope. Yeah, yeah. But the shrooms, I'm like, there's so many benefits that I've heard as far as your mental state. The studies on it show that it does like open. Now, I don't suggest doing it. Like, some people do it like every day.
Starting point is 01:39:36 Like I don't suggest that. I mean, I'm no expert. So don't listen to me anyway. But just like after, because I was like, I kept saying her. I'm like, I really felt like the shrooms like changed my life, like change my brain. And then if you look up the studies, it says like it does open up a portion of your brain that just provides like clarity to you. Okay. I'm totally doing it.
Starting point is 01:39:55 I've already planned it out. Before I decide to do it, I'm going to call my sponsor. We're going to have it because that's what we have to do in my program. We got to talk everything out. So we'll talk it out. And then I'm just going to come back a brand new person. And we do know like sober people that do shrews. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:14 And when I see you guys next, I'm like, I've been fucking my brain back. Yeah. Yeah, I'm telling you, you might be. You might be. That is so funny. So we have to write. wrap up, but I want to, you're going on tour. Yes.
Starting point is 01:40:28 Which is major. What can people expect from a la la live show? Oh my gosh. I know every time people, they're like, what do you do? You're not a comedian or a singer. I'm like, that's a great question. I know. I do.
Starting point is 01:40:40 No, I'm just excited. It'll be, I'll have segments with amazing guests. It's very interactive. I'm hoping that people come and bring their books so I can finally like sign some shit. It'll be, it'll be epic. The podcast is going on tour. So that's what you can expect. I'll give you la la.
Starting point is 01:40:58 Amazing. And that's starting the end of the month, right? April 28th is our first tour. And how many stops are you going to? I think there's 10. 10. Love it. 10 cities and 10 days.
Starting point is 01:41:09 Wow. So every night? I think we have like a couple breaks, right? Because we start on the third. So was it only eight shows? It might only be eight, you guys. Because that wouldn't make any sense. I'm no math with them.
Starting point is 01:41:23 Yeah, yeah. How are we getting there? Wait a second. We finish. 10 cities and like 13 days. 10 cities 13. Yes, that makes much more sense. I'm like, holy shit.
Starting point is 01:41:33 You need a break. I love that. Well, you're going to have so much fun. We've taken our show on the road as well. Right. And people always say, like, what it's great. We have the same thing. We're not comedians.
Starting point is 01:41:45 We're not singers. But when you get up there, you feel like a comedian. Yeah. That's the best part of my God. I mean, I also take your guys his brain. You could sing too. Nobody's going to stop you. You could literally like.
