It's like, I saw a tweet the other day that was like, you don't think seasonal depression's real or you question why you're so depressed during the winter or the fall. And then a 60 degree day hits in New York City. And you're like, oh, I think I'm cured. I think everything is better now.

It's the weather. I woke up. and ran errands at like 9.30 in the morning. Ran 9.30 a. I came home. I did a Peloton ride. I show when I came to work all this morning. 1.30 is maybe the first time I've worked out in the morning, like literally ever.

All because I woke up and like the sun was shining and I was like it's going to be a beautiful day. We're freaking proud of you. Thank you. Everybody listening is freaking proud of you. Keep that up. I know. You keep that up. I felt good about it.

I felt good about it. And it's just like, and you're just like. you step outside and like the birds are chirping however i am in a battle with a bird battle just shoot it i'm kidding that was that was a complete joke oh man no it's a it's one of those like i don't know what i don't know what they're called it's not a pigeon but like kind of a pigeon and my air conditioning in my bedroom is a window unit and it's like locked in there like the window sealed I can't open it. Like I had to get my super cum bracket the whole thing.

And this bird has decided to start building its nest on the top of my air conditioning unit. And it's right next to my bed. So every morning now at like 7.30, the sun comes up and I just hear, who-hoo, who-hoo, who-hoo, who-hoo, who-who. Over. And it's like a natural alarm clock, but I hate it. Because it feels like the bird is in my room. And I can't, I can't. Well, maybe that's a good thing.

What if you just hit your... Oh, I do, but it comes back. Like, I open my blind. Can you open your window and hit the nest door? No, I can't. No, I can't. My window is sealed shut. Believe me, I thought about that. I was like, I can kind of like try and get rid of this situation.

But it flies away. Like, I open my blinds and like knock on the window and it flies away. Get off my line. And then like a half hour later, it just comes back. Woo-hoo. I remember when I just have a window unit. Who-hoo. Yeah.

Now you've leveled up. Leveled up. All right, guys, I'm in the process of leveling up. Yeah, you are. I'm in mid-apartment search. Hopefully I find something. You will. And I hope I never have to deal with a permanently sealed shut window because of a window

unit. It's duct taped. It's like, it's not cute. Yeah, that's not cute. But you will level up. And maybe the bird's a good thing. Maybe a natural alarm clock is why you were up and Adam this morning. Look, it is peaceful on a day where I'm like, let's go.

I'm feeling good about the day. on a day where I'm tired like not Wednesday specifically I woke up and that bird and I was like I'm not happy with you. Wednesdays are tired days for us. Monday and Tuesdays is a very busy

beginning of the week for us. I was very unhappy with the bird but he just keeps on coming back. You shouldn't name him. Yeah. What's his name? Well I kind of think Richard. You think it's a girl or a boy bird? I was kind of leaving towards. I guess there would probably be a girl if it's enmesed and like has been...

Yes, but I feel like the... Yeah, maybe. But I feel like male birds also make nests. And then the female birds come and lay... I don't know enough about bird egg laying. I don't either. Let's name her. I feel like it should be a girl.

Okay. We'll leave some things out. Oh, okay. I know that nobody really likes to hear about other people's dreams. We've heard it before on this podcast when we talk about our dreams. People are like, we don't care what you guys are dreaming about. Yeah. I've seen that from people before when we talk about our dreams.

They're like, we don't care what you're dream about. Some people are interested. Stick around for this one, okay? This one is just a product of what day to day, I feel like Noah is film. me 24-7. Like I just feel like Noah is always in my presence with a camera of some sort. Right now there's three. Like I just, it's almost like I can't escape it.

And I'm obviously with you very often, right? We, you know. Correct. Yep, that is, yep. And so last night I had a dream that shook me to my core when I woke up this morning. And basically there was a celebrity guest who was with us. Oh, okay. Redacted.

Redacted. All right. I thought you were, when you said full story, I thought we were getting the whole thing. I thought we were getting the whole thing. Okay. All right. I just don't want to make it. Say the name, coward.

Redacted. Don't want to make anybody feel uncomfortable, you know. Anyways, celebrity guest and we're doing an interview, right? Yeah. And we're like this set up. You at the table. Noah's actually there it wasn't exactly like this you know how your dreams

are like kind of like what you envision and kind of not yes but Noah's recording us and this was I holding the camera that's important to me that's weirder well let me tell this story Noah is so disturbed by this but I have to tell it this person started

we're mid interview like joking around Noah's filming male by the camera male by the way yes and he starts he like has his arms around Fran and I like one in each and he starts like leaking like slobbering on my face and and like he was like joking around forth like playing for the camera and like slobbering on my face like great shot yeah and no is like filming it and then so he's slobbering on my face and then all of a sudden stop slobbering on my face

like literally spit like I'm saying like spit all over and gross yes gross and then he goes to you and he starts like licking your face as well and I was like wait what the hell hell like you're licking both of our faces now and Noah's filming the whole thing and I woke up right yeah and I told you guys this and you were like so basically you had a dream that we were having a threesome and Noah was filming it yeah and it does kind of feel like it wasn't a threesome though of how you would feel in a three so that's why I don't participate in them exactly I would be jealous that I would be getting all the attention it's like hey why like licks only licks only Licks only for me.

Well, we didn't say a threesome was happening before we started happening. It was just, it was just licks. It just was like, wait, why are you looking me and then looking her? But at one point where Fran had been like, what is going on? Did I say anything? Yeah, like, you were just watching. No, you were just, I, I pictured in my head. Just like, honestly so clear.

Like, this person to you come closer to me so that people watching on YouTube, you like see what I mean. Here. Like this. Describe what I'm doing. Okay. You have my shoulders in your hands Oh my goodness

Licking up and down the side of my face But like holding me down Which is a little forceful Oh my god That's kind of a little bit more aggressive than I pictured And you didn't say anything And no you seemed like you were into it

And then Noah was filming the whole time And I told Noah this And he was so disturbed Yeah fair Because yeah It's just why I don't like that. Yeah, yeah.

Well, what Noah said was, he was like, I just want you to know if that did start happening, I would never film it. Well, I said if the cameras were on tripods, I would leave it going. But maybe I would leave. But maybe delete the footage. Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on where it goes, huh? He started holding the footage against me in the dream.

Oh. I told, I said, because he was like, I was like, do I tell Hank about this? And Noah was like, oh, yeah, yeah. Bro. Bro. You need to. I have. He was like, you need to, I have the footage.

I was like, oh, fuck. Fran and I are both in trouble. Oh, man. You're like, I never thought. It didn't go further than the licking of the face. Yep. Well, that's because you woke up. All so true.

Yeah, so that's an inside look as to what my dreams are like. Could be continued later. Yeah, maybe tonight. Yeah, maybe tonight. Does that ever happen to you where you have like two nights in a row you dream? Yes. Like a sequel? I think.

I have to think about it before I go to bed being like, oh, my dream last night. And then I continued. I used to do that all the time when I was younger. I used to look forward to going to sleep because I had a great dream. Not like tonight. I really would have, I had like the same reoccurring dream about like meeting Nick Jonas in a mall when I was younger. And like every day, every night like I would go to bed thinking about meeting Nick Jonas in a mall. So I would dream about meeting Nick Jonas in a mall.

But I had like a huge crush on London Tipton. and like for like I don't know how long I had so many dreams about like I was at the hotel what was it called the tipton oh the tipton and like we just fell in love that is adorable Noah

I love that that's how like that reminds me of Hank said that he used to have you know these dreams of one day joining the band that was on the Amanda show that one day Amanda Binds would like turn around and fall in love with him because he was in the band I feel like that's that's similar similar vibes there. London Tipton.

I love London. I still love Brenda's song. Yeah, Brenda Song's great. Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior. Did you ever see that movie? No. I was always very, yeah, I was always very into her and and Trace Cyrus, but that was, I forgot about that. Wendy Wu was a great film.

That was a good one. All right, let's get into today's topics. We have a great interview on this episode with Victoria Justice, who we've been a fan up for a very long time. She really really gave some great insights, to be honest, and we even talked to, you know, maybe a little drama in there. So that is super exciting. We will also be talking about the Grammys. I feel like this is something we've talked about more often this year than ever because a lot of celebrities are mentioning it more than ever. The Golden Globes. Emily in Paris.

Now we got the Grammys. Zane Malick, who released his album. Nobody's listening. Tweet it out, fuck the Grammy. and everyone associated. Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there's no nomination considerations. Next year, I'll send you a basket of confectionery.

So a few hours later. My tweet was not personal or about eligibility, but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and networking politics to influencing the voting process. Not shocking here, obviously. I feel like we now know that people are paying people off for the award shows and it's been happening this way for as long as award shows existed. Yes. And people are exposing it more too because when you're actually looking at the organization as a whole, it's like, oh, wait, these are just old,

older people, you know, maybe not as in tune, who are making these big decisions, mostly white, you know, we saw that with the Golden Globes, obviously, and it's like there's just not, the representation is not there at the top, so it doesn't happen in the nominations and the in the winners and the look and and zane i felt like this did come from a place not necessarily like boo-hoo my album wasn't nominated it was like i really just think the grimmies are fucked up which is fair which is i feel like people might get mad about this statement but there has to be some level of jealousy with harry styles being nominated Right. No, I love when you add your take. I do. I really do because you say what everybody's thinking.

I'll say it because who cares if people get mad at me, right? Right. I love that idea. That is true. I will not be pitting the members of one direction. I'm not putting them against each other. But like, that's just natural. Like if I was not, I would feel the same way. Yeah, that is a natural reaction. And I will also add a statement here that nobody should get mad at because I think that Zane is a very talented artist. I'm not taking that away. I think. I think he's just as talented as Harry Stiles. It's just different types of music. You can't name your album, nobody's listening, and expect them to nominate it for a Grammy.

Maybe that was foreshadowing on his part. Right. Like, you kind of put that out there. Yeah. I'm just saying, that was a joke Noah made the other day, by the way. During Noah under it again. By the way, I didn't just say that. Noah said that.

No one and I were about a couple weeks ago whenever, when you were like, Zane's album and we're like, what? Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's called nobody's listening. No, I know. And Zane is wildly talented, but it's just like the way that I think the record labels work

and putting so much power behind certain artists. Like, Harry Stiles has gotten eons more support from the label that he is on compared to like Zane or some of these other guys. Just because Harry, you know, the, I don't know, we just see. I just, we just see so much more of him. Zane's like a private guy, so it's different. Yeah, yeah. Zane is a private guy.

Like he's not going to go on a talk show to promote his music. Right. That's the thing. I think Harry's doing more promo. He's out there more. He's doing the acting thing as well. Zane would like to be recognized more for just straight up the music and doesn't want to have to do the schmoozing part of it, which unfortunately is part of it.

It's part of the job. It's part of getting it out there, which I think is just part of the job. I want to say it's sad that it's that way, but it's not. You need to be out there promoting your music and promoting your music and promoting your work for people to I mean he has his diehard fans which he should like I said he's a very talented guy. Zane tweeted this out

and within an hour the number one worldwide trending topic was Zane deserves better in all caps. Yeah that's they are powerful powerful. One Direction One Direction fans are very powerful and the people who are for all of them. For all of them right

they stand by them which is great to see sometimes scary but great to see because you are almost afraid to say things that are the honest truth like he should be promoting it more, which I think is a fair thing to say. I missed. I'm never going to forget this. I missed a One Direction question last week in trivia.

What was it? It was like it was a, they play the instrumental before the not, no lyrics or anything. It's just instrumental. And it was for. drag me down and I just I did not recognize it at all and then when the answer revealed itself I was like I'm out here missing One Direction songs

I can't be doing that but drag me down was on the album that came out after Zane left which and like after Zane left I was not as into it. History though is a great song history is a great song. Story of my life those are the two ones story of my life I remember that song changed the world story of my life single handily change the entire world play that right now. There's a great, great song. Story of my life. And I guess now that we're on it,

we could talk about Harry Styles is opening up the Grammys, which is quite the opposite of where Zane is going with this. Right. Which, fair enough, they don't have to be on the same page. And I think Zane was definitely right. Like, he's not wrong what he's saying. No, for sure, for sure. But it's also like the labels, right? I think like Harry Stiles label and the people working for him are on the phone. they're making moves. He's Columbia, right? He's Columbia. Yeah.

So, like, they're, they're making sure Harry Styles is front and center. Yeah. I don't really know if Zane's label is putting together, like putting that same fight to have him. Columbia is my favorite. Doing those kinds of things. John Mayer. And they're nice people. Yeah, they have been very nice to you.

They've, like, helped us with guests. Oh, no. They have been, they've been fantastic. Yeah. But that's the thing. I feel like it also has to do with so much of the business side of it, too. and it's just such a complicated industry and I just feel like that's what Zane was talking about

like there's just so much more going on behind the scenes that everyone doesn't know about. Right. And I think it's one of those things that people do know but they're just not talking about it. But people are kind of aware that award shows are corrupt. People are wanting to chat more. Artists get more play when they're a publicist and their people are on the phone,

getting them out there. And unfortunately, but also this is his own choice. I don't even think Zane wants that. Like I don't think Zane wants to be performing at the Grammys from what I'm gathering. So it's a very, or maybe if it was offered to him just out of the blue. But I think you've got to try.

You know what I mean? Like, do you think the Grammys went out of their way to be like, we want John Mayer out of all, like, John Mayer, I'm sure his people are putting in a request, hey, John would love to perform at the Grammys this year. Or it might have been Mary and Morris being like, John, you want to come play with me? Right.

Yeah. something like that. It's like word of mouth, networking. Right. You could be the biggest star on the planet. Right. And they're like Duolipa, right? Right.

The Gramies always pair people together too for these duos and performances where I'm sure there's a team saying like, all right, who do we think is going to get people talking and shock people or have a pair that people don't expect. Yeah, exactly. So speaking of, which I will say, because it's just a rumor. But someone sent me a little Miley Twitter fan like that. Twitter that was said that the last time like Miley like Miley's been posting a ton about Harry Styles like she's been yeah pumping up Harry Styles and the last time she did something similar

to this was with Sean Mendez and then she ended up performing with Sean Mendes that would be crazy and so Miley fans are thinking maybe she might come perform with Harry at the Grammys and I'm and I'm putting it I'm manifesting it I'm putting it out there because I really hope it happens and if it doesn't happen I'm going to be so disappointed now I have I have four full body I'm not exaggerating. It would be unbelievable.

I have tears forming in my eyes and full body chills. I have tears coming like forming. I, it's an out of body experience. Harry Styles is performing and then Miley Cyrus comes out. You were listening when I said this in the green room. I wasn't, I was

I had a phone call. Yes, yes. Correct. That's why I wasn't just ignoring you. Like a new song or what would they perform? No, I think they do I think they either do one of his songs. Or a cover of some, like, just maybe like a cover of just like some cool 80s rock song or something.

What's her name from Fleetwood Mac? Stevie Nix? Yeah, does Miley know her? Because what if they all like? Oh, my. I mean, no. That's just, we've reached another level now. I cried during that.

We all cried. When we were at the show and Stevie Nix came out and performed with Harry Styles, I sobbed for two days after that. I had chills all down my body. The picture Reassend me the next morning of her just crying in her host of it. I remember because she came out and then I was supposed to be filming you obviously. But I just like put my camera down and then at one point you were like, what are you doing? Because I was just so. Just in the moment.

No, but I am really now praying for a Harry Miley situation. And I'm also surprised. Like I feel like it makes sense because Miley wasn't on the list of people performing. and you know she's had music come out she's been like everywhere with her new music that it would just like make sense for her to have some kind of surprise appearance i'm just yeah literally say a i'm sorry i just please please give it to me i know i know we need that yeah we really do if it doesn't happen i'm so sorry everyone that i gave you this idea you're gonna have to put out a lengthy apologize yeah well i'm not the one who put it out there right if it doesn't happen this week

Buckingham Palace released a statement after the Megan, Harry, and Oprah interview, as well as Prince William, who was asked about, obviously, what had happened.

He said that he has not talked to his brother or Megan. Markle, but he says the family is not racist. Yes. So short statement from the palace. I'm surprised they put anything out, but this makes the most sense. Very short. It said, the following statement is issued by Buckingham Palace on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen. Do do do do. The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years had been for Harry and Megan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed

by the family privately. Harry, Megan, and Archie will always be much loved family members. So it's very short, but a little snipey, you know, to say some recollections may vary, but we're taking it seriously. We'll address it privately. And, you know, I'm sure as a family, they are incredibly pissed because it's, it's, while Harry we feel is in the right and is making the most sense, he has broken the family trust circle, right? Like the family trust circle, he's out of it. This is a circle of trust. He's out. And they're all still in. So all of them together have it warped in their brain that what Harry's doing is is wrong and all of this is a problem and so now you know they're saying that they'll look into it and Prince William had said

you know this family is at let me let me um find the exact exact quote because it wasn't quite like um oh man wasn't quite oh very much this is that's what he said he said no we are not a racist family. We are very much not a racist family. Prince William told reporters during a visit to a school in Stratford, London. When asked if he had spoken to Prince Harry after the Oprah interview, he added, no, I haven't spoken to him yet, but I will. I will do.

Because like the queen and Prince Philip will be dead most likely. Most likely. Imagine. However, then it'll be Prince Charles. Wait, what? Prince Charles is next. Oh. Yeah.

In 20, 30 years, Prince William will be the king. Prince Charles, yes, yes. I mean, Prince Charles is, he's got to go. He's 77. It's time. No, no, no, wrong, wrong. Prince Charles is 72 years old. Like, they all live to like a hundred or more.

It's crazy. Like, I don't know what's in their genes. By the way, there was no. What kind of drug are they taking? There was no big thing with Prince Philip this week. We thought maybe there would be. There wasn't. but yeah I feel like the palace now is just going to try and slowly forget this and put new things out there to cover it up as much as possible and to try and get back in the good graces and it's kind of like Megan said you know they have a relationship with the press where they want to be covered in a positive way so they're just going to keep doing appearances keep talking about the good stuff that they're doing the good work that they're doing and brush it all under the rug

Well, he literally stepped off the set. Well, he literally stepped away.

Quite literally stepped away. Now, Pierce Morgan is a butt hurt loser because it's, and the depths of his two. Pretty much always. He's just holding this gross vendetta against Megan Markle, I think, because he and Megan had a relationship, not like a, not a dating relationship. But I think they were friends. Like I think they were. Before she even.

Yeah, yeah. I believe so. That's random. No, and I think that. How it went is, you know, as she ascended and started the relationship with Harry happened and then she becomes part of the family, it was like, Megan wasn't giving Pierce Morgan the time of day. And now he just went on this tirade against her ever since. Chelsea Handler posted a great video. I don't know if you saw it of like she posted on Instagram.

It was a clip of her when she made an appearance on Pierce's CNN show. And she just fucking laid into him. She was like, you, you're awful. You're supposed to be interviewing me. Like, you're, like, you're just one thing that he was terrible brought his job. He's just, like, a bad person. And it was, it was just great because every, she commented was, like, feeling good about this. Like, every comment, there's so many celebrities commenting, like, this is amazing.

This is why we love you. So many, so many things. But it's caused shockwaves through so many of these talk shows because they keep bringing it up, right? and they're like, they have to have, people have to have different stances or they try and have different stances. So like on the view and the talk and like Sharon Osborne was getting, it's a weird thing that everybody is trying to not disagree with Megan, but like, just agree with Megan.

Yeah, I feel like people are still holding on to like, oh, it's the royal family. We kind of want to take it easy on this. Let's step around them. Sharon Osborne's like defending her friends. Pierce Morgan. Get over it. Let's be honest. Let's,

I feel like people keep saying, oh, Megan, she's, she's an actress. She knows what she was doing. Why can what she said just be true? Why does everyone have to look because they want to protect

the royal family? But why do you think this family that has so much power is so pure? People with power like that are not pure people. They don't do things that are like by the book

and just great people. They're slimy, they're shady. That's how you become so powerful. I don't know how you don't look yourself in the mirror. They always say nice guys, finished last because that's the truth. Like it's it's crazy to see that anybody wouldn't just be like, yeah, you know what, you're right. A family that has that much power probably is a bit corrupt.

Yeah. And Pierce Morgan, I don't, I don't get how you don't reach a level where you're like, I got a pivot. Like where I'm going with this, the way I am is causing people so much pain. Jamila Jamil came out and said that when Pierce Morgan was attacking her endlessly, that she, like, considered killing herself all because of shit that Pears Morgan had started. So, like, what gives that guy so much power to be, like, why is he right? He's still, well, he's still, he's still, he's still, doubling down on, like, freedom of speech. Yeah, he won't be silent, still say, still say whatever he wants to say.

But why does he think he's so right? You know, like, what makes Peers Morgan the authority? I know. I know. It's ridiculous. He's gross. He's gross. But, you know, at the end of the day, when it comes to hair and his,

family. I do hope that they are able to have like some kind of relationship because it sucks. And I think of the kids too, you know, that and obviously Prince George, yes, he is in line to be the king, but he has siblings and Archie and Archie is about to have a sibling. And it's like cousins that you'll just never, you know, like the family dynamic. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Exactly. So I do hope that they, they are able to mend on like a family. family level, but I just, I don't know if that's ever going to happen. And I do think him being married to Haley and their marriage has helped him at a ton. I know that a lot of people were nervous and they were shaken up when Justin Haley got married out of nowhere. Good, good, good. Definitely. We're really excited to have you on. We've been a fan of you for a long time. I will say, and Ria's going to laugh at me because we always joke about and I'm not wearing any makeup. So this is good. I feel like this is don't take this the wrong way. But when I was younger, like, I, anybody would ask me, like, who do you think your celebrity doppelganger is? And I always would say Victoria Justice,

because one person told me it. And I was like, I'm going to tell everyone that now. Like, you know when you just get, you know when you always just get one really good one? And you're like, oh, that's the one I'm going to stick with. I forget all the other ones I don't like. And your hair used to be darker. But I remember when I first met you and we like talked about celebrity doppelgangers,

you were like, well, people tell me I look like before you justice. People literally one person. Good for you. Yeah. Exactly. I'm so glad that you took that as a compliment. So thank you.

Absolutely. And I honestly, you're like one of the first people I followed on Twitter and I still follow you and I like have kept up with you. I've been on Twitter since like, I don't know, 2011 maybe like since I was in like eighth grade. I don't know. But I've been following you ever since. So we're really excited to talk to you. You have this new movie coming out called Trust.

with Matthew Diderio and Catherine McNamara, which I love the premise of this movie. I watched the trailer and I read the description about it before and it was just like, oh, this is my type of movie. I'm into it. So why don't you explain your role and what the film is about? Sure. Yeah. It's my kind of movie too.

That's really why I was drawn to doing it. It takes place in New York. It's about a married couple. I play a new gallery art owner. Her name is Brooke Gatwick and she's married to Owens. Shore, who is a newscaster in New York City. And basically the movie is, it's like a sexy, twisty relationship drama, you know? It's exploring cheating and temptation and what really is considered cheating. And it's almost like a, it's like a romantic kind of cheating whodunit story.

And I was really drawn to it also because it takes place in New York. And I always love movies at film in New York. It just adds such a character and such a vibe to the film. And And my character Brooke is she's a cool girl. I really like her. She's like a strong-minded, like boss lady. She's doing her thing. She's very hardworking. She's very ambitious, very determined.

But in this film, you know, the thing that I like most about it is that I think it's a very relatable situation. You know, in relationships, people experience insecurities and they experience jealousy and they experience doubt. And all of those things come up. Yeah. It definitely looks very enticing, and it has that dumb. Like the trailer has that sexy music in the background, too, where it's like, you don't really know what's going to happen. And it definitely teases it so well.

And I hate cheating in real life. Right, right. Nobody wants that to happen. But in a movie, I'm like, give it to me. Like, we need the, you know, we need the drama, like the storyline. I'm like, well, does she cheat? Like, will she do it? Who knows?

Yeah. Why? You're going to watch to find out. That's one of the coolest things about this movie to me is that I'm really excited for the conversations after. I'm excited for people to decide what they actually because I feel like there are different levels of cheating, right? For sure.

Definitely. Emotional cheating, physical cheating. Some people say they'd rather be. Some people say they'd rather their significant other have sex with somebody else than like have a really deep conversation with somebody else. Yeah, we have a girl at work who said that she would rather have like her boyfriend sleep with someone else than to find out that he has had this long-going, like, text relationship where they're sharing all their deepest feelings. So there are for sure different levels. Yeah. And so this kind of

explores all of that. And I'm excited for people to discuss it with their friends. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. And this cast is awesome. Did you know any of these actors before you worked on this project, or were you meeting them for the first time? So I worked with Matt Didario on a movie I did that's on Netflix right now called Naomi and Eli's No Kiss List that I did years ago. And I loved working with Matt. We had so much from working together. He's a super cool, like down to earth, like just New Yorker, like through a group. He's just like New York. And he's super talented and a great dude. And I love working with him then. And then when I signed on to do this project, our director, Brian, asked if, you know, if I had any ideas for an actor to play Owen. And I immediately thought of

Matt and I thought that he would be perfect. And I'm just so happy that it all worked out. And I'd met Kat before, but we'd never gotten the chance to work together. So it was kind of, it was awesome, too, because I had worked with Matt and then she had done Shadow Hunters with Matt. Right, right. It was fun. Yeah. Now, did that all get connected through you saying, oh, Matt would be a good fit? And then Matt being like, oh, Catherine would be a great fit. Like, did it go down the line? Or was she kind of involved before that. I think it's, she was already involved. Oh, cool. And she's awesome. She's been on our show. She's so cool.

I used to go to acting class with Matt DeDario when I was like 12 years old. And he was, he was way older than I was. And we were in a class together. Anne Ray Trey was the acting teacher in New York. And it was like a small class of like 12 people we'd go every week. And I was a younger kid in like an older kid's class. So I always remember being like, oh my God, Matt Tadario, he's so cool. That's so funny.

It is such a small world. And funny when you are in those experiences. then obviously they go on to have these great careers and you're like, I remember when we were an acting class together. Right, exactly. It's like he would never remember me. But if I talked to him, I'd be like, we were, you know, I was there. I was just really young.

When did you film this movie? We filmed this. The first scene we did was the fight scene. It was like a one-off in the beginning of January because we wanted to get the actual Christmas decorations before they took them down. to like the scenes with like the big red balls and everything. That was like a one-off thing. And then I came back to L.A.

And then I went back to New York, I think the beginning of February. And that's when we started filming. And honestly, it's so crazy looking back, like the timing of this movie was perfect. Because obviously, you know, COVID really was in full swing right after we finished. Our rap party got canceled because of, you know, COVID restrictions and everyone was all of a sudden taking it more seriously. And then as soon as I flew back to New York, to L.A. from New York, then L.A. was completely shut down. So it was just like our world totally changed. But I had some normalcy there. I got a movie in the way. Got that movie in right before the end.

That must have felt so good though. Like in some aspect, we're like, wow, I just finished that movie. Now I can kind of relax, I guess, because we have to, like, we can't go anywhere. We got to sit at home. But you did something. You made the movie. And yeah, I was supposed to honestly, I was supposed to go from doing this movie and then have like two weeks off in L.A. and then fly to South Africa to do another movie for Netflix. And, yeah, so it kind of just, it was crazy. That all got pushed, obviously. And I just kept being like, every month, I was like, okay, well, am I going to be flying to South Africa now? No, okay. Or have they open the border of now? No, it was like, it's just waiting for everything to lift.

And now where's that at? Are you still doing that movie or? Yeah, I did it. I did it last year. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In South Africa for a couple months. And it was really fun.

We filmed in a bubble. And that was an amazing. experience. I loved it. Yeah. And so how was kind of the quarantine period for you? It seems like you were obviously still able to work, but were there sometimes where you kind of just had nothing to do? Definitely. Definitely. I think those times, you know, in a lot of ways, it was, it was really good and refreshing and I enjoyed it because I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my family and I was able to sort of focus on things that like I would always put on the back burner

for example like cooking like I don't really cook that much and that's something I've always wanted to learn is how to cook and so I remember like I perfected my perfect like breakfast omelet during quarantine and I was just working out a lot trying to like stay motivated to do that and like staying active I feel like keeps me sane so doing a lot of that

but yeah there was definitely there was definitely a lot of times where I was just like okay well what do we do right definitely definitely yeah i feel like if if anybody just picked up like one new thing that maybe they learned a little bit then you accomplished something in quarantine like yeah you know you maybe you cooked a little more maybe you worked out a little bit more it doesn't have to be like this great like you became an artist like you don't have to do that but just like a little something yeah profound yeah no i didn't quite have that but um i did get to spend some good quality time with people that I love and learn to cook a really good home with.

Yeah. Well, that's great. And it seems like you're working on music, you know, you're posting on Instagram. You're in the studio. So how is that going? What kind of vibe are you going for? And how has that kind of been like getting, because I feel like you have always been in the music world, but is this different than how we've seen you in the past?

Yeah. I think it is different than how people have seen me in the past. I mean, I hadn't put out music for seven years. Right. So putting out my single that I dropped recently, treat myself, was very much a departure and, you know, it's like the first, like, explicit song that I dropped. Right. The S word in it.

And it has that little E next to the song, you know? It does. But, you know, I think it's just, it was just me being as real and voluble. as I can be and this song kind of just poured out of me and I felt like um this time that we're living in in our world I felt like there are so many people who are suffering and who are alone with themselves and with their thoughts more than ever and that can be so difficult and so challenging and our thoughts can lie to us you know and I just felt like that's something that I have experienced and I just really felt like it was the perfect time to put that message out into the world

because I felt like it could help people. And that's a good thing about music is that like when you hear a song and you connect with it, you don't feel so alone. And I think that's a really powerful thing. Yeah. And you released a music video for it that came out on YouTube. I think this was like mid-December, right? So you shot that music video in quarantine as well.

It's amazing to see the amount of stuff that people are getting done in the kind of world that we're living in. You know, you shot a new movie, you did the music video. We're able to do these things. obviously it's a bit different, but still great to see that people are getting it done. Yeah, definitely. It was crazy. When I think back on it, I actually was quite productive during my quarantine here. But yeah, I feel grateful that I was able to get that stuff out there.

And it was cool. Yeah. We have been getting that sense from people in the music world and those who, you know, have been on our show who we've talked to who have said that normally when you're moving from place to place, maybe you're not as productive, but with the time of like sitting down, you're, you could focus a lot on, on music and what you want a message you want to get out there and what you're, what you want your songs to be like. And so it feels like now we have been getting so much great new music from people. So it's very exciting to, to see you in that group. Yeah. And I also just, uh, I recently dropped another single called Stay that I'm very excited about that I dropped around Valentine's Day and it's like a very kind of sexy, like romantic. a little old school vibe and I wrote the music video for that too and it's really fun so you guys can check that out if you want but yeah it's been super exciting to I think I think for me like the quarantine everything was really a good time for me to be like okay I have this time now like what do I

want to do with it and music is something that's always just been such a part of me and I was like I'm not going to like wait anymore like I'm going to just start putting stuff out and so I'm excited to keep doing that is there an album coming like what's the what's the plan yeah I'm still kind of figuring that out. I think eventually, but at this point in time, I have like a few other songs that I want to put out. And then from there, maybe start crafting an EP or an album specifically. Awesome. Yeah. You mentioned how these songs are obviously a bit sexier. They're older. They're more mature. They got the explicit sign. Obviously way different than, you know, seven years ago when you were putting out music was when, you know, victorious was happening. It was right off in Nickelodeon. Now,

do you like talking about victorious and Nicodin or do you not like talking about it? Because I feel like there's always, everyone always has a different answer. And I never like to just be like, so tell us all about Victoria's because obviously we were big fans. But I want to know if you like talking about it or not straight up. Yeah. I mean, I don't have any sort of problem talking about it. I mean, I love the show. I had a great time making the show.

That was one of the greatest times in my life, you know? And it's amazing to see that people still watch the show and people still love it. And it's cool to see that impact on people. It's pretty awesome. Yeah. Yeah. It's on Netflix. I think that's why everyone started talking about Victoria's Again.

It was when it got put on Netflix. Everyone was rewatching it. I saw on TikTok. I was rewatching some episodes. I'm like, the show was funny. Like this was still, it was still good. It was a cool show. Like for a family show and for a Nickelodeon show, it was one of the more mature

shows that I would say also because we were all older you know I was 17 when the show really like got swing in so it wasn't like you know we were doing subject matters for like 13 12 year olds um so yeah I thought it was just a cool show and if you watch it back and you're older too like there are so many like sexual innuendos and like double umtonedas that are in there that's just uh it's kind of hilarious that obviously the kids miss but like the adults are like oh yeah Yeah, that has been like going around more and more on TikTok where you're just like, how did we all miss that. Yeah. That just all went over our heads now.

What, what, why did you take that, you know, seven year break from releasing any new music? Was that having to do with the fact that you were coming off of Nickelodeon adjusting to a new lifestyle of some sort? Or was it just like finding yourself? I think it was just, it was a comment. of a lot of different things. I think I had released a first single and it did fine. I didn't necessarily feel like I got the label support that I wanted. And I also didn't necessarily feel like we were like creatively seeing eye to eye.

So I think after that, I also was just, you know, I do both. I act and I. And so an opportunity came into my lap to do a show for MTV called I Candy, which was like the sexy drama. I remember that. Yeah, it was like kind of dark. You did? Oh, awesome. Thanks.

But yeah, I had a lot of fun making that show, and I really wanted to do that because I felt like it would be such a departure in something totally different than what people have seen me do before. And so, yeah, just more acting opportunities kind of came up and music kind of got put more in the back burner, but I never stopped making music. It was always still a part of me. I would still go into the studio. It was always just like a matter of like when the right time would be to, to, to,

focus on it more again. But yeah, in the interim, I don't know, I did a lot of things. I did the Rocky Horror Picture Show remake on Fox, which was really fun. I was just like exploring a bunch of different things. I was traveling a lot. Yeah. I saw you did, I watched it, Real Bros of Seamy Valley. How did you get involved?

Were you friends with any of those guys? Because they're all hilarious for anybody who doesn't know. It's like Cody Coe, Jimmy Tatron, Nicol. Letty, and which is, it's like a parody of, you know, real housewives, but real bros for those who haven't seen it. And you were on it, which I thought was great. How did you get involved with that? They just, like, reached out to my agent.

And he was like, would you be interested in doing this? And I watched some clips. And I was like, this is ridiculous. And I was like, yeah, sure why not. I love comedy. And a friend of mine had actually also done the show and he was like, you got to do it. Like, they're so cool to work with. It'll be like super easy and really fun.

I was like, okay, I mean that. So it was really fun. Yeah, definitely. And now there's been like, because the show, you know, the shows that you're on in Nickelodeon were so, so popular. And I feel now there's been a big trend of like reunion shows or let's get the band back together. Like everybody wants to see these shows reunite or to do something together.

I think we've kind of seen that call for Zoe 101 big time. Like we all really wanted something to happen with Zoe 101. How have you felt about that? And is it something that interests you or no? Oh, how have I? I don't know. I mean, I've gotten together with the cast and we've all hung out and I love them all dearly and so much. I mean, I would be down to do a little something.

I don't know. I really don't know what is going on with all of that. But I love that cast. lot and had so much fun working with them back in the day and, you know, would love to hang out with him again for yeah. Yeah. I feel like there were always on the internet, people are always pitting people against each other. And I feel like that was something that was kind of annoying was seeing how they would try to pin you and other against each other. You know, Ariana Grande was on the show as well. But I think it's nice to see you all support each other. I see you all posting about each other, um, new music and your projects, which is really

great to see because you don't want to- It's a good shift. I feel like the shift is happening. in the last few years of more being like, let's have these women support each other instead of like they can't take up the same space. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. It's been great. I mean, all of that drama, whatever, all that stuff is like, it's just like so silly. And a lot of it really came from like the media. Yeah. Like fanning those flames and then just people online like fanning those flames and making it this huge crazy thing. And yeah, it's, we're all super supportive of each other. And it's amazing. And I love Ariana. And. And. And I love Ariana. And. and she's killing it right now,

and she's been so supportive of me and my music, and, you know, we text and it's just, it's really cool. So everything's all good. But yeah, it is a little frustrating to see how people do love to pit women against each other.

But I think at the end of the day, it's all about us, like, supporting each other and building each other up, you know? Rising above that and letting them know, like, this is, you guys aren't going to tear us apart.

We're going to support each other. You know, you got this show, you know, however young you guys were, many years have passed, it was a part of your growing up experience. So obviously, you're not going to be the same person that you were many years ago and you're going to look back on things differently and then and just rise above whatever silly, like you said, silly drama may or may not

have been happening. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. I mean, even Rhea and I are like best friends. We do this show together. And three times a week? Yeah, we're together. No, but I'm saying we're together all the time that even still people try and pit us against each other and to try and create like they're like they're definitely not friends yeah not even it's yeah sometimes it's like it's so crazy that people do it and i'm sure it happens at an even bigger level for um for you guys and when you're working with other with other women but and it's also i feel like a power of social media like how do you handle your social media how much do you like to to share and not share because you do have a great Instagram presence.

Yeah. And a strong fan base. Yeah, for sure. You have a strong fan base. Oh my God. Yeah. You know, like, I don't know. I just feel so lucky because I don't even always like to call them fans because it almost feels like sort of, I don't know, distance or something. Like they're like more than that to me. And there are honestly in a lot of ways like they are.

And there are people that have been supporting me for years, like years. and it's just the coolest thing to see people that like have your back and will just like defend you to the end and I'm just so grateful for them. You know, obviously I wouldn't be here doing any of this if it wasn't for them. So I'm just so grateful every single day for that. Yeah. Yeah, that's amazing. And like what I back to just kind of like Instagram, like how have you sort of decided how much to share? because I think it's hard sometimes on Instagram with like how much you have a you have tons and tons of followers.

It's like what how do you kind of maintain that and like what are some of your good like social media rules with handling maybe not so nice stuff? Um, the not so nice stuff I usually just ignore. Yeah. I usually just kind of laugh it out off because sometimes it's so ridiculous to me. And and sometimes it honestly kind of makes me. it's sort of like sad for the other person. I'm like, man, like, what is going on in your life that you have all this time to start a computer? They don't have a life. Try to make someone else feel bad that you don't even know. You've never met this person.

And you're trying to drag them down and make, make them feel like crap. Like, there's really something going on with you that you need to look into because that's not okay. That's really not normal. but you know I feel like I also have a lot of people that support me so I'm thankful for that but it's it's all good honestly you know there's always going to be haters yeah that's okay just is what it is it comes with the territory um and then as far as like social media and high posts I don't know I don't I don't like to be on my phone that much I you know um there are days when I when I'm like oh god I was on Instagram for like this long that like makes me sad you know I want to be I want to be present. I don't want to be on my phone all the time. I want to be with the people that I'm with. I want to be in the

conversations I'm in. I want to be looking around the world around me. And, you know, I feel like I share parts of my life that are important to me. And I want to have that connection with the people that follow me. I want them to have a peek into my life. And I want to be real and honest and vulnerable with them sometimes. And that's a beautiful thing about social media is that it can be used in such a positive way. It can be used to inspire people and to connect people and to lift people up. And that, that's a beautiful thing. And that is the thing that I love most about. So I try, I try to lean in that direction and to do that. That's great. But I am, I tend to be like kind of more of a private person. So I don't like, I don't like to overshare things a lot, I guess. I'm pretty private about a lot of things,

but, you know, your outfits. We get to see all your great outfits, which is what we like seeing it. Totally. I love very good outfits. Yeah. And we love seeing it. Trust comes out March 12th. Where? Where can everybody watch that? That's a great question. It comes out, it's going to be in select theaters and on demand. Awesome. I'm getting it. I'm excited.

I'm glad that we're going to see you on Netflix because I just feel like everybody is glued to Netflix all the time. Yeah, obviously. Anything that they put out on demand, Netflix, any streaming service, anywhere you put anything, like I have it on.

I'm watching it. Like, that's it. Like, this whole year has just been watching TV and movies. and we will continue to do that. Right. And we've watched tons of stuff that you've done. So therefore, the algorithm, it'll put your movie right at the top for us. Yeah.
