Hey there, Chiluminati podcast listeners.
Mike here with a few announcements and updates as far as live appearances, followed by some
changes in how we're going to be doing things on the back end, though it won't affect anything
for you guys.
But I want to keep you guys in the loop.
First and foremost, and the most important and exciting thing is that Chiluminati podcast
is going to be doing its very first live show at Indie Popcon in Indianapolis on June 8th
at 6.15 to 7.45 in the Wabash room for Indie Popcon at the convention center.
We're super, super excited and we're so thankful that you guys have been just such big fans
of the show from day one.
This is something that we kind of did as a, this would be kind of a cool fun little hobby
idea and to see the numbers explode so instantaneously has sent me at the very least reeling because
I didn't really expect such interest in something like this.
I thought it'd be a little bit more niche, but I'm so happy you guys love this stuff
and we're so excited to continue producing more stuff for you.
So if you're going to be in Indianapolis on June 8th, Indie Popcon is going to be happening
from then.
Me and Alex will be there all three days.
We'll be doing a signing as well as the panel and all that stuff and Jesse is going to be
there Friday and Saturday, but he is leaving Saturday night because he has E3 stuff to take
care of the next day.
So he'll still be there for a couple of days regardless and you guys can come say hi and
if you see us walking the floor, just say hello if you want.
Don't be afraid.
Even if you see us with other people, don't be afraid at all.
That being said, there's been some troubles the past week or two with scheduling and getting
an episodes up.
Me and Alex did a mini-sode when there was supposed to be a live episode going and then
there was supposed to be another live episode going up tomorrow or I think it's tomorrow
when this is going to get posted or the day after regardless and that doesn't look like
it's going to happen because the day Alex comes home, I'm flying out.
So if you don't know, summer for a lot of people is convention season and for us because
we do so many different things on YouTube and Twitch.
We fly out all the time during the summer and it's something that we thought we'd be
okay and be able to manage getting together, but just the time zones are all over the place.
Jesse's been in Europe for two weeks.
Alex has been in Norway for a week.
He's going to be home and then I'm flying out and then I'm going to be home for two
weeks and then we all fly out for any popcorn and it's just something I want to rectify.
So what we're going to be doing going forward once everybody gets together is at the beginning
of every month.
Instead of doing two separate recording sessions throughout the month to get both episodes,
we're going to get together at the beginning of the month and knock out two episodes while
we're together.
That way we have a bit more productive.
That way if there's a lot of travel going on in the month, we can make sure those episodes
are taken care of and we don't have to worry about it.
I sincerely apologize.
This was kind of an oversight on my end.
At the same time, like I said earlier, I didn't expect this to be as insanely popular as it
has been over the course of six episodes.
So it's good and it's bad.
I'm going to rectify that as soon as possible.
So once I get home for my first trip during that two week break before we go to Indie
Popcon, we're going to knock out two episodes.
I'll get them scheduled and uploaded and taken care of for you guys so we can make sure
you guys have the episodes that you deserve.
So thank you guys.
Again, wouldn't be able to do this without you.
Sincerely, I'm just incredibly happy.
The other question that I want to address before we wrap up the short little announcement
is there has been a ton of questions of whether or not we're going to record the Indie Popcon
episode.
I do not know is honestly the only answer I have for you right now, which is a shame.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but I just don't.
I don't know if we're going to have the equipment for it.
And if we do, I'm curious what the sound quality is going to be.
And I don't want to send a load to something up that's echoey and hard to hear and you
can hear an audience laughing along or that kind of thing.
So what I can promise you though is if the topic goes over really well and people really
like it and there's a lot more for us to discuss, we will dive back into whatever topic we are
covering for Indianapolis in a future episode.
All I can say right now though for those who are going to be at Indie Popcon, we are going
to make sure the episode is Indianapolis focused.
Some creepy lore going on in Indianapolis.
I've already had a people suggest a few things.
I've been looking into a couple of them and there's just some fun things to talk about.
So if you're going to be there and you're from Indianapolis, hopefully this will be
a fun little episode for you guys to listen into.
If you want to pick up tickets to Indie Popcon, there is a link below in the video on YouTube
or on SoundCloud in the description, wherever you're listening on this.
You can hunt down a link pretty easily on the Twitter.
There's a link as well.
So make sure you're there.
Say hi.
We're really excited.
They gave us a large room for the panel.
So I'm a little nervous we're not going to fill it up.
Just cross.
We're able to fill it up though.
Regardless, this has been so fun.
Appreciate you guys.
I appreciate your understanding.
We will be back ASAP.
The next two episodes are already taken care of.
In one of the two episodes, I will say this, we're going to deviate a little bit from just
paranormal stuff and start looking into some true crime stuff.
I know a lot of people have been asking for true crime.
I've picked up a few books on true crime in the meanwhile I've been reading and I'm really
excited to get into our first true crime episode.
Not just talk about all things skeptical and strange though that's going to be the heart
of it I think.
Anyway, I love you guys.
We love you guys.
Thank you so much for the support you've given us at Illuminati Podcast and we cannot wait
to be doing this for as long as you guys are listening.
We'll see you soon.
Bye bye.
