Starting point is 00:00:02 Notice. Notice. This midweek mini was recorded several months ago and may not be up to date with current events. For fresh minisode uploads with every episode, head to patreon.com slash Chaluminati pod. Oh, minisodeso. Boom, baby, boom. Wherever you are. Boom, baby, boom. I hope you don't explode. Anyway, uh, what's cracking? Nothing. I don't know. I was trying to go with a nice poem, you know, as we came out.
Starting point is 00:01:02 You're just doing a tone poem with me. You're just trying to get on the bone, I hope you don't explode. Don't explode, like the jazz of poetry. Right, right, right. What do you think rhymes with the explode? Don't explode, baby, blue.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Minisode. I said, welcome back to the minisode. Welcome back to the minisode. I hope you don't explode. Is a weird. That's weird. It doesn't. I'm about to drop a load on the minisore.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Boom, boom. I'd rather you didn't. I have a listener story for you. Is it a load free episode mini-s-s? It's filled with load. It's bathroom-adjacent, unfortunately. This is by numerous profile. It's called The Bathroom Nightmare.
Starting point is 00:01:41 It's a listener story, and here we go. When I was younger, maybe around 12 years old, 2000 or 2001 time frame, I had probably the last horrifying nightmare of my life. The nightmare itself. was simple, but the story goes a little bit beyond that. So, the dream was one of those lame ones where you just go about your life in a normal fashion. I was watching TV upstairs in my parents' room when my mom told me to get ready for bed and
Starting point is 00:02:15 take my bath. I went into the bathroom, and it felt off as I went on to turn the water on. I stopped, looked around the room, uh, and bathtub and noticed nothing. after the look around I went back to turn on the water as I reached past the faucet and touched the cold water's knob some demon ghost spirit bitch thing lunged out of the faucet and latched onto my arm screaming and biting it that woke me up instantly from the dream
Starting point is 00:02:46 and my arm ached and tingled I'm assuming I was just sleeping on it weird or banged it flailing around but who knows regardless it horrified me I couldn't get back to sleep, so I went downstairs and laid on the couch watching the 1950s Superman with my dad. I mentioned to him I had a nightmare and couldn't sleep. He was never an emotionally supportive dad and just said, okay. I don't know how spirits or ghosts, oh, I don't know spirits or ghosts, but to describe her, she looked exactly like the ring girl, coincidence, long dark hair covering most of her face,
Starting point is 00:03:22 needle-like fingers with long nails and the classic ragged white nightgown thing. which is a funny ghost trope now that I think about it, editor's notes. Her face, however, was completely different. Instead of the demon girl face, my nightmare's face looked more like a mandrake from Harry Potter or the one from Pan's labyrinth under the bed all mushed up and wrinkled while still kind of looking like a baby. Zoom forward about 21 years and I'm married now with my first kid. I married that girl.
Starting point is 00:03:54 I married that baby. We came home to visit my parents for the first time with our son, and I was talking with my mom about giving my son a bath either tomorrow or tonight. My mom made a subtle comment saying she hopes he doesn't mind the bath. I responded and said, it should be fine and that he usually enjoys bath time. My mom then went on and explained that every other one of her grandkids, five others at this point, hated the bath and often screamed and cried
Starting point is 00:04:24 whenever they had to use the bathtub. She went on to say, very nonchalantly, that maybe the bathtub was haunted. That triggered me for the memory of the nightmare I had years ago, and I told her about that. This was the first time I ever told my mom that story, and she never heard it before for my dad either. We still gave our son a bath, and he was fine. Also, to note, I never had any issues with it growing up. The whole thing was very eerie, however, how every other grandkids, hated that bath and responded so violently to having a bath in it.
Starting point is 00:04:59 That's all I've got. I never looked into the house or area for any deaths or any fun stuff like that. If anyone knows better the type of ghost, spirit, demon thing, let me know so I can reference more correctly. Also, if I didn't say it earlier, please feel free to use this on the podcast if you want. I'm not subscribed. So if you do, let me know so I can subscribe and listen, which is like the subreddit for the show is a.
Starting point is 00:05:26 an interesting place to find yourself as somebody who doesn't subscribe to the show. Yeah. How'd you get there? So I'll let you know. Hey, listen. It's all right. You can listen.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Hey, listen. We did it. This is me telling you. By law, you must subscribe now. Yeah, you have to subscribe now because I read your. Those are the rules. How did you get here? Do you just listen to the show without a subscription?
Starting point is 00:05:52 Like, how did you find the sub. I don't know. Maybe, maybe, maybe we're just a creepy subbride. There's a lot of podcasty things I listen to that I don't subscribe to. Really? Yeah. Podcasts, really? You're never like, like for me, if I'm listening to a podcast and I, and I like like like,
Starting point is 00:06:06 like, like, I'm going to listen to some more episodes. The natural thing for me to do is to press that subscribe. Sure, but sometimes like, you know, there's a Jesse episode. I'm like, skip, you know? You know what I mean? Yeah. But you're like unsubscribe? No, I never subscribed to begin with.
Starting point is 00:06:22 That's clean. That's clean. That's clean. All right. Well, there you have it. A ghost in a bath. Something about the idea of a bathtub biting hands. It resonated with me.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I remember when I was a kid, I was scared of that equipment. I don't know why. I think maybe rather than the bathtub being haunted, like kids in general find the sounds of rushing water that hard and that heavy, that close to their face, like probably kind of scary. And the tube that it comes from is probably also quite fearsome at that time when you don't have a good understanding. I kind of wish I could see the bath. You know what I mean? And the water is hot so it could feel like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:59 It's kind of a fucked up, like, thing to think about if you have no context for what the fuck a faucet is. I don't know. Anyway, that's my little story. Please keep sending your spooky stories to us. I love, like, being able to read them on here. So, so please continue to send them. It's a very cool thing.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Jesse, before we, do you want to wrap the episode or do you want to go to? Mine's a little quicky, so it's whatever. Mine's pretty quick, too. So go for it. All right. Sure. So I read an article this week that I'm obsessed with because it's so fascinating. So you know how when we like touch things, right?
Starting point is 00:07:34 You flip a light switch, you touch your phone, whatever, your fingers or anywhere in your body, there's so many little tactile sensors inside you and nerves and whatever's going on. Like touch is a whole mystical thing. Well, when creating robots, one of the things that scientists and researchers and developers and engineers and whatever have been trying to do when it comes to robots is figure out how to do touch right like robots right now they can grip things but like they don't recognize they're like pressing on a coin or a table or like when they grab something and grip it they grip it the way it's like grip it it it isn't like well do i grip it softly or do i grip it to heart like how do i
Starting point is 00:08:22 determine that. And so for years and years and years, they've been trying to essentially just make robo humans, which is like, okay, well, what kind of wiring do we need and sensors do we need? And how do we fit that many in fingers to let them know? And it's become this big thing. And they simply could not figure out how to do it. Well, this is why I love science. Researchers at Queen Mary University of London have created a tactile sensor that does not do that at all. In fact, the way it does it is kind of genius. It uses simple webcams. Imagine in the eyes of the robot, right?
Starting point is 00:08:59 Like a connect vibe. But what it does is the hands in this case or whatever, you know, we're using to touch, have a color changing, I don't want to say fabric, but like, um, uh, whatever you would call that, whatever skin is made out of when it's fake, like a color changing. changing like... Skin. Yeah, what?
Starting point is 00:09:24 Like, like, like, what are we talking about? Plather? Something like that. Yes. Like, like,
Starting point is 00:09:29 nylon, plastic. Like a fake skin, you know, like whatever we're going to call that. Like a dildo material? Sure. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Like whatever the, you know, like you're making your real sex doll or whatever. Like latex. Yeah. Like that same thing, except it's color changing. And based on the pressure
Starting point is 00:09:45 and the tactile sensation, it changes color. So the camera, picks up on the color change, and that's how it determines how hard or soft a thing is compared to a thousand little sensors. And so it saves so much time and money and energy because now the camera picks it up and tells the system, oh, it changed. It's like, you know, if you press on something too hard and your skin gets like either red around the outside or like white on that kind of thing. And so basically it just came up with a different way of doing it. They're not trying to recreate humans.
Starting point is 00:10:18 They're just trying to come up with a way that we do things with the way that they know how to do it. Yeah, that's like a great ban. I don't mean it disparagingly, but a good Band-Aid solution to a problem that we might not just have the technology to accomplish. Yeah, like we simply can't put that many sensors. Like, the way the human body is, it's amazing. Like, it's genuinely amazing. And we can't recreate it in a robot body. There's so much thinking like this yet left to do.
Starting point is 00:10:44 And we always go for the more. like computing power type thinking or the extremely complicated type thinking but like have you ever use like a fish weight in a pan you know what i mean and it like creates like a beautiful crust on the bottom of your thing because you put a thing in a pan the right direction yeah and lean the thing on it the right way like there's so much magic in the slight changes of choice and intention and things that you do with your with simpler tools that you can still achieve so much of that complicated stuff. And I just love stuff like this because it's a nice reminder that like physical space is still very important in like the lived experience and thinking and making
Starting point is 00:11:28 amazing magical things happen. The word I was thinking of by the way is polymer. That's what I was thinking. Polymer. Okay. There we go. I think it just sucks that like it sucks that like it sucks that we live in the kind of time period we do right now just with like the crazy horrible shit going on because every once in a while you just reminded we are at the like forefront of science. constantly with just shit like this with we even last week when we were talking about the weird post-mortem brain like brought back and like we're just we are sitting on the frontier of a lot of very interesting and scary new sciences it's just we don't hear about it too much and who knows what we're going to see kind of come to pass for the rest of our lifetime well i'm convinced for the record
Starting point is 00:12:06 that uh the reason why is because they're talking dicks right we all know that's what this is about oh yeah baby oh yeah we all know we all know why they need no grip pressures and whatnot Why does the penis change color? Because it must. That's, porn comes first. Because it must. It must.
Starting point is 00:12:25 It is the normalizing factor. All right. Mine is also relatively short. But the fourth drop of UAP files has kind of quietly just kind of been plopped out there. It's not as enormous as some of the other ones. There is a couple of very, I would actually say very, is a couple of interesting things.
Starting point is 00:12:48 In this drop, you're looking at PDFs, you're looking at videos. There's even a couple audio clips, some pictures. Of the videos, 99% of them are what we usually have been getting. Interesting white dot on black and white background, moving in a weird place at a weird time. The only video I would say is worth maybe watching is there's like a five minute video of another weird ass jellyfish. Some people call it the floating brain. video. It is bizarre. I'll see if I can grab it real quick. Yeah, it's just another, it's one of
Starting point is 00:13:21 these like three videos on the front page here. Let me see if I can just find it real quick. Because also, just to reiterate, this website sucks. This, who, like, this website is bad the way they've like made this. It's so hard to like navigate. You can't like, you just like save things individually. It's so stupid. But the other thing that's, I think, kind of interesting that they dropped is like there's a few photos from NASA that were uh released in public three pictures of the same thing okay here is first of all I found the brain five minute video it's from east in the east China Sea there's your link you want to like just you can just skim through it or start watching it's like five minutes on the dot but I will continue with the NASA thing in
Starting point is 00:14:08 the meanwhile so what time stamp should we be looking for I think it starts right at the very definitely does. I'm staring at whatever the hell this is supposed to be. I don't like being on the Department of War website. All right. I know. Dude, same. You can, you can download the video completely separately, but I can totally see it. This is really good footage, though. Yeah, a lot of these are super censored to, but three photos came out from NASA of the same object from the 1996 spaceship Columbia. This is pretty crazy looking already, though. I got to say. Yeah, these are just kind of clip. It did there. There's some very interesting. interesting things here, genuinely. I'm getting the links to all three photos first so I can get
Starting point is 00:14:48 them to you. This, and I'll read the description of where these photos come from. But again, the source for these is NASA. Okay. There's your three links. You're probably have to copy, paste them. But these are during the little description for them. Just really quickly, really quickly. Alex, I feel like you will appreciate this. Mathis, you probably will too. audience if you're curious what this thing looks like it looks like if you were to take one of those cloud cars from cloud city and turn it on its side so you have one top bubble and one bottom bubble and sort of going
Starting point is 00:15:27 it's crazy looking it's like it looks like a B wing kind of yeah it has a little Star Wars vibe to it it looks like a it looks like a like a creature made into a Are these all the related media on this? Yeah, those are the three photos from NASA I just gave you from the same object. But the video you're watching is not from NASA. This is just from,
Starting point is 00:15:50 so the video that I gave you, just to give everybody else who's listening who may not be able to watch it right away, some context. It's from the United States Indo-Pacific Command, they submitted a report of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon to the AARO. It's five minutes of footage. And this is from 2025 from the U.S. military platform. And they break it down, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:10 minute by minute what's happening. But you can just watch this thing for five minutes over the east of ocean over there. Just like just floating up and down. It's very strange looking. Again, interesting. Not really much you can say about it other than it's interesting. But the photos are of this triangular thing from NASA. These photos come from, they say, during STS 80 between November 19th and December 7th,
Starting point is 00:16:34 1996, astronauts aboard Space Shuttle Columbia captured a series of three images of an unidentified object in low Earth orbit. In the first photograph, the object is visible near the center of the frame. You can see them. There's two that are black and white. And then there's the third one, which is actually in color. I'm having trouble making much out in these pictures. But they're really interesting.
Starting point is 00:16:57 They're really like, they seem very real. I should say color, but it's not like that black and white, like thermal. You can actually like if you click, download the image if you can. It's better that way. The big ones. Yeah, the big ones. And you can look at them that way. The third one in particular,
Starting point is 00:17:12 you actually see the hue of blue around the earth when you actually click to download it and you see the color. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. It's way, way more serious. Yeah. Yeah, open the pictures up.
Starting point is 00:17:23 It's so much better that way. And you can see that thing. It's almost like there's like special effects in the web, in the web, uh, like they put like a fucking, they fuck it. The website sucks.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Yeah. There's like, there's like styling on the fucking videos and shit. Yeah. It's weirdly black and white. It's so bad. But if you click on it, actually look at the images themselves,
Starting point is 00:17:44 the third one in particular, I think is like my favorite one because it's the one that's like, it's like, even the first one, they're all in color, actually. I'm dumb. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:17:51 the first one, the thing is like, what do you see? Like, you should explain it voice because I'm just brambling here. But it's like a triangle. It looks like,
Starting point is 00:17:56 umma, it looks like a, it looks like a, um, like a piece of something that was made floating. It's too smooth. That's a good way to describe it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:07 it doesn't, yes. Fabricated Bill Like fabricated look It doesn't look at an asteroid No It could be like a piece of a ship
Starting point is 00:18:18 Or something like that If you know what I'm saying Like it doesn't necessarily have to be The whole thing I'm looking at But it very much looks structural And it looks like it has like a Like geometric lines to it And maybe is 3D
Starting point is 00:18:29 And wide Like a pyramid I can't really tell It can't tell if just the dark part Is it Or if the Like if that's just one side of a larger pyramid.
Starting point is 00:18:40 I can't really tell. It's got a, it has the vibe of like, oh, did you watch Stargate SG1 back in the day? Like, it has like, that kind of, like, teelk's about to pop out of it and be like,
Starting point is 00:18:56 indeed. Yeah, I mean, based on the other two images, I'd say it's probably a little narrower than a little wider, if you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. But I, like, it's interesting. But it also just could be space debris. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:19:08 mean like it's it's true it could be it could literally be manmade space debris it could be like a piece of a satellite yeah but it just does look very much exactly like i mean that last one you can see it very clearly you can see almost like the texture of it it looks like a piece of an airplane or something i actually looked that up like space debris like right now we have in space somewhere around almost 30 000 large objects in our atmosphere in 1996 there was 8500 that were uh uh over at estimated scientist, estimated that. So there were definitely still things in space. Again, these are not, these are like, it's cool in the third photo.
Starting point is 00:19:45 I think you can see the reflection of one of the astronauts in the window, which is sick. I'm trying to load up the full res version of this like video. Of the five minute one. Yeah. And it also is very much like insanely better looking. Let me go do that now. if you have a chance to download this, like it's not in color color,
Starting point is 00:20:12 but a lot of the stuff on the screen is in color, and you're just not missing any. You can see almost like true details. You can see that it's swinging about. You can see like the underneath of it. You know, like when Andros, like you blow off his face and he's just a brain. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Why even give like these weird preview visions of the video? Most people are not going to like realize download anything. That's probably why they're doing it to acclude people's opinion of the videos a little bit. Oh yeah. the video is so much better. Most people who see it are going to look at the shit version and not the real good version. Yeah, that video, the video now is like so much smoother. It's weird.
Starting point is 00:20:51 It's weird. Weird as fuck, for sure. But if you're going to go check out the things, grab the raw files, look at them that way. Don't watch the preview on the website. This was just kind of a fourth trench that was just quietly plopped out there without much fanfare, but not much announcement anymore. They're not seemingly really. announcing it too much anymore because I don't know fucking I don't think they cared that much in the
Starting point is 00:21:11 first place but yeah you I'm watching this video of this thing going through like I'm not gonna it looks a lot more like something that's like hanging you know like like like like like wiggling off the top thing yeah yeah up thing seems to have the propulsion and the bottom thing just seems to kind of be smoothly sort of going around but you'd think that it would like go back you know what I mean you'd think it would like like if you wore a davy crockett hat and you went fast that that that tail would like go up right but it's it's it's still kind of hanging so it must be pretty heavy what's underneath it's interesting it's interesting yeah it's so strange anyway that's what i bring you boys and uh that's it that's it for us here in
Starting point is 00:21:48 the minisode thank you guys so much for being here thank you so much for supporting us we'll be back next week with a brand new one just for you guys we appreciate you love you see you next time goodbye bye
