Welcome to Chit Chat Money. This will be a short announcement episode because we're making some
changes. Starting today, we've introduced a new paid membership service for $5 a month called
Chit Chat Money Plus that extends beyond just our podcast. Brett, do you want to kind of take
them through what members will be getting? Yes. If you are listening on Spotify or Apple
Podcasts, you can probably see that the episode released today, Chipotle, is locked for paywalled
members only, and that is for Chitchat Money Plus. Now, when you are a subscriber to Chitchat
Money Plus, you get access to our weekly not-so-deep-dive research episodes where Ryan
and I, and once a month, Brad Freeman, put in hours and hours of work researching a company,
the history, management, who owns the stock, financials, future growth opportunities,
basically every basic thing you would want to learn about a company in a succinct 45-minute
it to an hour-long format. And on top of this, every week, you're going to be getting a newsletter
with the show notes that we make for the episode, along with charts, a link to our evaluation work,
bull case, bear case work, and a link to transcripts for the Not So Deep Dive episode.
So when it gets released, say on Tuesdays, when the Chip Poley episode gets released,
but on the future episodes every week beyond this, you'll get access to this, including the
transcripts. If you'd rather read, it is very helpful to digest some of the numbers we talk
about on an episode. Ryan, what else do you want to add? Yeah, we know it can be hard to sometimes
listen to all the financials audibly. So this, we are providing the spreadsheet work behind it as
well, if that's easier for listeners or members to get a grasp on the business. So that's kind
of the goal there. Right. And we think the most value you will get is if you combine both listening
to the audio and then reading the show notes and the charts and looking at those in the newsletter.
I don't know what order is best, but doing that together, that's what we do to help our research
process for these stocks. And members will also be getting, this is completely new. We're going
to do once a month, an Arch Capital Investment Fund episode, where it's either why we own
something, why we've sold something, why we bought something, or overall just portfolio strategy.
We'll also come with our Arch Capital relevant valuation work and research files.
Through the newsletter as well and in the research folder that you're about to mention.
And those are more comprehensive, I would say, than some of the not so deep dive valuation work
because we've owned it for a while. We have tracking metrics on all that stuff
and all those companies. So those will be coming out once a month for members as well.
And just to give an example on that, it could be something like why we own blank, why we sold blank, talking fully about, you know, we're very transparent with how we do our research.
We want to talk fully about how we're doing, how we're looking at something, mistakes we've made, where we are right.
And then also shows on our broader investment strategy.
And those will be once a month for additional for the Chit Chat Money Plus.
Now, you want to explain what is staying free?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, actually, no, let's talk about the research folder part too, because we should mention that.
Oh, yeah. So when you sign up, you'll have the option to give your email to us. Or if you,
for some reason, don't get your email to us, feel free to just email us and tell us that you've
subscribed and we will put you in for the Google Drive access as well. This will have our research
for either podcast companies that are behind the paywall or our arch capital holdings
for members. And we think the Google drive is a really good value that extends beyond what the
typical listener will get. Exactly. And while you'll get in the newsletter, the current week's
episode, this will go through the catalog of a lot of the historical ones starting right now.
And the catalog will just get bigger and bigger every week. Now, what was I supposed,
what was the question you asked? What stays free?
Ah, gotcha. So all the other episodes that we do each week, the two other ones. So the deep
dive interviews we do with other analysts. For example, last week, we did ASML with Leandro from
Best Anchor Stocks. This week, well, teaser, we're going to be doing NVIDIA with Luke Hallard from
Seven Investing. Those will stay free and ad supported. Also, the investing power hours that
we do that on YouTube on Thursdays, but on the podcast feed every Sunday, those will remain free
as well. So don't worry if you'd only listen to those two episodes, things are just going as
normal. But if you're a heavy, not so deep dive listener, we really think you'll find value
subscribing to the Chitchat Money Plus service. How do people subscribe if they're interested?
Because I know it is a bit confusing giving all the platforms that people listen to podcasts on.
Right. And it's, we have a diverse mix of listeners in terms of platforms. So you can,
if you're on Spotify or Apple, you can subscribe directly through those platforms. If you're
listening on another platform, click the link that we have in the show notes to go through the
simple steps of signing up. I may kind of miss anything. If you have any trouble, reach out to
us at chitchatmoneypodcast at gmail.com. We can certainly help you get set up.
And our link, our email is in every show notes. You should be able to find that easily. If you
don't get the spelling right here, when you, if you're not listening on Spotify or Apple podcast,
it'll be an anchor link. You will sign up through anchor and then it'll get you to have,
it'll take you through all the steps itself. But when you sign up, you're going to make yourself,
it'll make you a private RSS feed that you can include within your player, like Google podcast,
overcast or whatever. Um, that's the harder one to do. So if you have any questions,
please reach out, but we will also include a how-to guide for people. Cause we know it's a
little more confusing than say, signing it for a sub stack on your own. All right. Well, I think
that's pretty much it in terms of what they're getting. Once again, feel free to reach out to
us. We're also on Twitter and we hope we make it very clear. We do think that this is a big
increase in value for our listeners or now members. So we hope that you try it out and
see the value as well. For anyone that's going, thank you for subscribing. And it's very,
very helpful for the business we're trying to start here. And we do think that the value versus
the cost you're paying is substantially higher if you consistently listen to the Not So Deep Dead
episodes.
