All right. We're back Monday morning.
Circling Back podcast.
Welcome to the show.
I hope you enjoy it.
My name is Dave.
Who's going to produce today?
Randall.
Yeah, Randall Trebaki, produce him.
Hi, Dave.
Got you a cool shirt there, Guy.
And I am a banana ball, banana.
I even got a little friendship bracelet here, too.
Dylan hates to see this.
He hates to see a banana winning.
I like bananas, actually.
Only three-fourths of them.
You would have enjoyed three-fourths of the two-hour presentation.
Well, good, Randy.
I'm glad you made it back, okay.
So you hit the checkstop.
I got so.
Oh, yeah.
Did you go Slova Chicks.
Which was you good?
Checkstop.
We'll do Slova checks next time.
I've done neither.
So I just don't want to check stop this time.
Do you have an official review?
Good.
They kind of rushed.
If I felt like I was at the side.
sides, you know, part of Terry Blacks.
They were just like, kept on asking me like, what?
And like, didn't give me everything I wanted to.
I asked for like six different Kalachis.
And she just kind of was just like moving us along.
It sounds like you walked up there doing without a plan.
I know I had everything on my phone.
I'm like, I'll have a bacon, again.
I was like, I think I want bacon and egg and cheese too.
But they took that back there.
I don't know.
Just whatever.
They were good.
I got, but be prepared.
When you go up there, just immediately be able to tell them.
She, like, was asking me for everything.
I'm like, I feel if I tell you everything right now,
you're not going to remember everything that I tell you.
Any other kind of treat you've enjoyed recently?
Yes, yes, yes.
Okay.
Chee-Chi brought in, well, Dylan brought in some cookies on behalf of Che-J.
For me, a bunch of cookies.
She said I didn't have to share with the squad.
They were just for me.
Said you could if you wanted to, but you don't have to share them.
And guess what?
I did share because they were so good.
I had to let everyone else have them.
And they are amazing cookies.
So thank you, Che-Ce-J.
that they were very good.
What a gal.
For giving out shoutouts, too.
I'll give two more shoutouts.
Wow.
Some backer at the banana ball game just said, hey, Randy, and shot him, Deuce.
And then another person, this is the first time I've ever had this one, outside of Academy Sports.
When Mattel Ranchos, Mattel Ranchos, I'm like, did I just hear that correctly?
Turned around, just some guy in his car gave me away.
So, show us to you two.
I thought maybe it was Sam Taylor.
No.
That's the funniest possible outcome.
She just recognizes us and leans into it.
What are we doing at Academy?
Sports and outdoors.
I don't want to tell you.
Okay.
I had $10 Coles Cash and there were some hats that I had seen by 47 brand
and I went to go on Academy to try on the brands because I didn't know if they fit or not.
I knew you guys would hate it.
Oh, man.
And guess what?
I have a very oddly shaped small head.
I'll give you a pass on hats.
Hats are very specific fits that I like.
It's got to fit well or else it's, it's, ain't no way.
So the two like two-tone, like high crown visor 47 hats, I put them on and they just didn't fit.
So I'm like, all right, I will not be getting these hats.
Okay.
That's what I was doing at Academy.
I was hoping you were taking up like a new hobby.
No, no.
Just trying on hats.
Oh, ladies and gentlemen.
Dylan Shivery.
Very happy to be here to the sooner fan in the chat who asked me not to go too hard on your Sooners.
I probably won't.
We did, but did plenty of that last week.
And at this point, it feels like bullying a little bit.
So I'll probably give you a bit of a pass on this one.
I feel for you guys.
It's not fun.
You've ever looked at the side-by-side on John Mateer and Arches' stats?
Yeah.
It's interesting.
Yeah.
It is interesting.
difference being I think
Arch isn't making like really boneheaded
turnovers regularly
yeah he's not having a great season that's facts
but he is
quarterback of your number one longhorns
I was texted that image
that graphic by none other than
Daniel Register
yeah so I saw
making the rounds
I think you mean my number one longhorns
and your number one longhorns but certainly not
Dave's number one longhorns since Dave
hates Texas I was pulling for
Texas. Pulling up with Colin
Simmons. He had a game.
He's on the team that y'all like.
Colin Simmons was pulling something out.
I have not
had one of Chechase cookies yet. I did.
I almost grabbed one and then I went Nutbar.
I matched that Kirkland
Costco Nutbar button, which are really
good. It's in that
category of bar that
it's like this, you know, it fancies
itself to be a, I don't
think it says healthy, but
a lower sugar-ish
It's what I'm saying is it it's too good to be good.
I know there's some shit in here that I shouldn't be eating.
Yeah.
But they're good.
It's a, it's a, it's a new twist on an old fave and the old fave being a kind bar.
It is definitely giving kind bar.
Ripped Ross Bowen's crown out.
Yeah.
Not his frack crown, his crown on his tooth.
That's a nice thing about these ones.
They're not so hard to eat where kind bars, I feel like sometimes are like so hard to bite.
And also they just like fall apart easier.
A little t.
A little tough
Yeah
They're a little tough
Yeah
It's a good way of it
Yeah
Oh man
Tomorrow is the day
Oh go ahead to him
No you took the words out of my mouth
Randy's got a we've got a big day tomorrow
Big day
I gotta lock in man
Yeah
I gotta get a good night's sleep
I've been studying
Mm-hmm
Mm-hmm
The show has been completed
All the questions and songs
Are ready to go
Do you know it is back tomorrow on Patreon
So it's a good time to get in.
Spooky season next week.
I'm very new here.
Actually, I'm a baby backer.
I might have accidentally missed the last time you did a game show.
What's that about?
Do You Know It is a game show.
It's a podcast, but it's a podcast game show on Patreon where I see whether these guys know it or not.
You see, do you know it.
That's the name of the show.
We do a little bit of trivia.
We do a little bit of song recognition.
We have a lot of fun, a lot of Ryan.
Nguiness, rowdiness.
We do it to a scale.
It's a lot of fun.
There's always bonus points and stuff thrown in.
It is a great time.
Silly.
My advice would be to enjoy the tailgate
because all of them are awesome.
Yes.
Do you understand what I'm saying?
No, I never thought of that way.
Enjoy it.
That's my advice to enjoy the tailgate.
No, that's good.
All of them.
Okay.
Here's the best part about do you know it.
You can play along at home.
I love when people play along.
They like send pictures to me of like their scores and stuff.
Oh, that's real sweet.
It's fun.
And if you have questions that you'd like to be featured on the show, you can DM me too.
This is on Patreon, y'all.

Some people are saying Randy as fans first.
Are you fan forward?
See, Dylan, that's a reference to the banana ball being fans first.
Speaking of something being forward, I got, I got my Halloween.
costume which is omneman do you know who omni man i've been told i look like him so i'm
leaning into it and it's very dick forward this costume it's just a lot of print i got i have to
find a way to cover up i don't know what i'm going to do it's it's pretty graphic well i'll
give you uh some of my oh i've seen this dude yeah he's from invincible the uh amazon prime cartoon tv
Compression underwear.
Compression underwear and maybe even just regularly like shorts underneath.
That's what I did for Spider-Man when I went to this birthday.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Like, I can't be around kids in this costume is what I'm saying.
Might catch a charge.
Yeah.
You're not beating the allegations at this point, buddy.
It's Dick Forward, I said.
It's Dick Forward.
Dylan, of course, has never watched Invincible.
I'm going to, though.
Yeah.
It's a cool costume.
It's a good show.
I told him that he probably wants to watch the season finale of season one.
to really understand Omni Man, but...
You know, this guy, this is like the bad guy
who's a real xenophobic racist, right?
No.
Why did you choose this?
Someone would have told me if that were the case.
Um, kind of.
Really?
I've no, I've no...
I've seen a clip of him, like, just absolutely destroying a team of superheroes.
It's pretty much like he is Superman,
but if Superman was from a planet of Nazis.
Really?
Kind of, yeah.
All right.
Happy Halloween, dude.
I'm not going to get cancel worthy.
No, you're not getting canceled.
No, dude.
All right.
It's not like you're going as Hitler.
Yeah, I'm not dressing up as Hitler.
That would be.
Omni man.
Yeah.
Omni man.
It's not a dude who just plays Fosio Canyons every week.
Ah, Omni Barton Creek.
It's not.
No.
That's good.
You can just find this dude every Monday morning playing foothills.
Chelsea calls it Omni Barton Creek.
I'm like, you just call it Barton Creek.
Nobody calls it Omni Barton Crean.
No one.
Sorry.
If she's in the chat, I apologize.
She's from California.
She doesn't really know.
She got to stop.
All right.
It's not Santa Carrey.
Exactly.
I love the hell is at Barton Cricker.
Amon McCaw?
So pretty.
My name of St. Clair.
Okay.
It's not that bad.
Oh, man.
We have a, what a week of content.
This is going to be.
I just feel it in my plums, man.
You know, you see that feeling.
Next week, spooky season.
Oh, my God.
Spooky at washmedia.com.
That is the place to email me your spooky season stories.
We need them, man.
Otherwise, I'm not doing the show.
I'll just come in here and just make stuff up.
I'll just read headlines about spooky stuff for an hour.
Spooky at washmedia.com.
I want your ghost stories, your paranormal, your cryptozoography, all of it.
I need some spooky stories, some town lore.
What?
Cryptozoography?
Cryptozoology.
I think he sees his agography
Oh okay dude
Why don't you just do the show
Okay
I'll just shut my laptop
And listen to this guy doing
Spooky places
Just do it y'all
Just email me
I'm fucking tired
I had a good night sleep in 48 hours
I almost just didn't come in today
Oh man
I'm very tired
Sorry
We realized Sammy's teething
And it took his way too long to realize that
And that's why he's just screaming
throughout the night
Not screaming
What a little fella
But waking up
and just kind of enough to where you wake up
and you don't have to go in there, but
just wait, man.
Give me a little nip of the good stuff, you know?
What's the good stuff?
No, just you hear about, like, in the old days,
he used to rub, you know, like whiskey on the, on the gums.
I don't know if that actually worked.
That's for my men.
Beer for my horses.
Okay.
Don't give you a son.
We've never given Sammy any booze.
Don't give your son alcohol.
Typically, we'll give them like mochering.
That's probably better.
Yeah.
But we realize that he's,
like my mouth hurts.
I was like, oh, dude, it's the teeth.
Yeah.
We thought you were just going through it.
That chom poked through, man.
Damn.
Sheesh.
What else?
Podcast week.
Seriously, I can't believe spooky season starts next week.
Yeah.
It's really crazy.
It's crazy that we're getting, do you know it back in spooky season and back-to-back weeks?
Like, no one ever thought that was going to happen.
No, I didn't even know it was logistically possible.
Now, here we are.
Just the patrons are feasting right now.
That's a great time.
Or they will be.
It's the best time to be a patron, arguably.
Yeah.
It's a great time to wear some rollback, too, huh?
It is.
Part of my weekend and fun was done in rowback.
Actually, much of it was wearing the looper short on Friday
when I went and played a very hot round of golf at Omnet, Botan Crock.
Anyway, I was playing my rowbacks.
You can use code Lutes 20.
Check out their game day section, man.
They have gear for a year.
They have so many schools they've added recently.
they probably have your school on there.
Polos,
quarter zips,
hoodies, all kinds of stuff.
Check it out.
A ton of stuff.
Or just,
you know,
load up just for fall.
I mean,
they got other hoodies,
not just game day ones,
all kinds of hoodies and vests and everything,
man.
Great stuff.
One time use code,
load it up,
L-U-T-E-S-20,
L-U-T-E-S-20.
It's going to get you 20% off your order.
A rowback.
Check it out.
Let's do this weekend of fun.
Hey, it's hard money, Micah.
It's time for this weekend.
Bro, let's go out this weekend.
There's a crazy event happening.
I like to turn up.
Bro, there's a crazy event happening.
We had the party and it was lit.
I got yelled out by a prostitute.
Let's just go have fun and let go a little.
Let's go.
Let's try to let that glute go a little longer.
Yeah.
People have been wanting more glute.
Will me get mine out of the way since you guys have the banana thing?
Yeah, well, let's...
We're going to do that as a whole segment.
Yeah, go around.
I've got enough otherwise to discuss.
Okay.
We'll do a separate banana seg.
All righty.
I had a pretty excellent weekend.
Friday, Parks had his second baseball game.
They destroyed the other team.
So that was nice to get off the Schneide a little bit.
They got the dub.
Parks got the game ball for the second game in a row.
He made an unbelievable catch in center field.
I didn't know he had it in him.
Nice.
Fly ball.
He's playing kind of deep.
And he had to sprint and underhand it.
smooth as hell man everyone was going crazy his teammates were jumping up and down coaches giving
center field man back to the dugout pretty important love to see he also hits the shit out of the
ball he he's kind of in his bag right now the lessons we're taking are paying off so he's he's playing
some confidence we'd love to see it Saturday man a lot of football I watched uh I watched a lot of football
on Saturday we'll talk more about that later um I got breaking football news do you want it yeah
NFC East implications.
J.J. McCarthy to the Giants.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
That's when you saw people like,
like saying, yeah, I don't know what they gave up.
Who was there QB2 before Dart went down?
James.
Just right.
James.
Interesting.
Okay.
Saturday night day, we went to the district restaurant kind of in our area.
I know.
Well, dude.
So good.
We were very impressed with food there.
Good spot.
No one goes there, though.
It was almost completely empty.
We went on a Saturday night.
Weird.
Is that right?
It was like 10% occupied.
That's weird.
It was weird.
They've got the bar in the back, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Good food.
Sunday, a lot of errands.
We recently repopied a fiddle-leaf fig tree plant, wherever you call it.
And so we finally got that in the soil, and we're hoping for good things there.
We're really excited about that.
It's a fun little project we've been doing.
Got a new pot, big old, big old pot.
Mm-hmm.
And it's been fun.
You propagated it, huh?
We propagated it, yeah.
Okay.
You know what that is?
Yeah.
You do?
Yeah.
Take a proper gaze at these.
No, I'm just kidding.
No, that's great, man.
Yeah, it's been fun.
That's a, how did the thumb hold up?
We moved the mature one to the big pot.
Mm-hmm.
And the little baby one is now in the other previous pot, which is smaller.
So we got, we got the mama fiddle, and then the little baby.
Is it a fast-growing tree?
Yeah.
Interesting.
It is a fast-growing tree.
I notice your Sands brace.
What, are you feeling better?
I just, maybe like on camera, I don't know.
I'm just, I took it off for the episode, that's all.
It's, it's not doing better, no.
Damn.
In fact, it's, it might be deteriorating even more.
What are we going to do about this thing?
I don't know.
I don't know.
At some point, the doctor might be in play here.
Hey, man, that's pretty, oh, we had my dad over last night for stakes.
And that was fantastic.
you prepare the steaks?
Chelsea cooked them.
She does the stakes in our household.
She does the cast iron and she crushes it every time.
We did a couple of ribbys.
They were so good.
She didn't wash it, did she?
No, I clean.
You clean the cast iron?
I do.
What do you do?
I just take paper towel and I wipe, I just keep cleaning the inside with paper towels
until there's just a little bit left on that paper towel and I stow it away.
Sadly, there's a lot of people out there who just throw,
and their dishwasher.
Soap never touches the cast iron.
Never.
You hear that, Randy?
My cast iron is just living in soap.
Sometimes they don't even put water on that, John.
Just living in soap.
I feel like part of being a Midwesterner is just having good cast iron skillet game.
I don't think we've ever owned a cast iron skillet.
Okay, well, I'll just move on then.
I'll move on to something different.
That's my weekend, man.
It was a great one.
Why'd you do the Trump hand?
Does he do that?
Yeah.
Gotta say.
He does this a lot.
Randall?
Not too much to talk about outside banana ball.
Friday just kind of chilled.
A lot of Widows Bay.
Watch a lot of Widows Bay.
We got two episodes left.
Very much enjoying the show.
See why I won all that Emmy.
So if you have not watched it,
I would highly recommend it,
especially it's a great watch for spooky season.
Apple TV.
I got a 30-day free trial because I bought something on Coles.
You see these things.
When do you buy anything online,
from any like store there's like always like a five question there like oh do you want a free trial this
free trial that so coals i bought something recently they gave me a 30 day free trial of apple tv so i'm like
well i want to watch widow's bay so i'm watching that uh went to dallas well arlington i guess
arlington yeah uh we had discussed maybe going to six flags the next day but i didn't open until
noon bro roads got his first glimpse of roller coasters like real roller coasters from walking in that
parking lot and we've had a discussion there there is a potential for fright fast fiesta texas down
san Antonio and these upcoming weekends we'll see go visit the ex ex roommate actually he's coming
over tonight to watch the band of brothers maybe we'll finish out the series okay um but
otherwise we would stop the check stop we talked about that a little bit and then
Sunday was just kind of recovering from the bananas game because I realized had way too much,
not too much to drink, but enough that I didn't have enough water and there was a lot of sun
that kind of felt really shitty all Sunday.
Tell me this.
What was your thoughts of the checkstop, Kalachi?
Good.
I don't know.
I think the bread was much more fluffy and like the pastry was better than Lone Star Kalachi's
by us.
But I mean, Lones Star Kalachi I think is still pretty good.
I didn't think it was that much better
that I was like, this is life-changing.
But I thought it was good.
It was worth the stop.
They've got great sandwiches as well.
Just have to say, I need to try Slovichicks next time.
Yeah, that's why I'm going to try for sure next time.
But yeah.
These are staples.
If you're driving between Dallas and Austin and I-35, you know.
It's a real if you know, you know a thing.
They're right across, like they're on the opposite sides of the highway from each other.
It's interesting, isn't it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Direct competition.
Honestly, like, if you're northbound, you just hit checkstop.
If you're southbound, you hit slobs.
True.
So it's not to cross over, you know.
Yeah.
That's a good point.
So, but yes, the majority of my weekend was banana ball.
So we'll talk about that next.
Do you know what the infamous, I will say,
infamous lore from the town that harbors those two establishments in?
West Texas.
West Texas?
Oh, that's when it said Visit West.
I thought it meant it was like, go west until West Texas.
The town itself is native west.
Yes, yes, yes.
Do you remember the fertilizer?
Yeah.
Fertilizer explosion.
Oh, yeah.
Massive.
From like 15 years ago, maybe 10.
How long ago was that?
That was where that happened.
I see.
One of the more insane things.
Anyway.
You done?
Yes.
Well, thank you for sharing.
Friday, I played in a charity golf scramble,
which I love it.
Dude, I just live for scrambles,
as you'll find out.
Myself,
a friend of the show,
Blaine,
the accountant,
and then a friend of the show,
Ryan,
one of Blaine's coworkers.
We played a scramble,
just your basic charity scramble.
At BC,
Barton Creek,
we played Canyons course,
which I think is my favorite
out there of the four or five they have.
It's also where the
upcoming tournament will be.
PGA tournament.
Formerly the Good Good.
No longer.
Now the yet to be renamed.
Still?
They have not announced it unless I'm totally missing that, but I'm pretty sure they have
not announced it.
We came out of the, we were on fire.
We just were Bertie, Bertie, Birdie, Birdie Eagle mixed up paring on the front nine.
I think we were eight or not.
No, we were nine under, but they do this thing.
So here's what they do in these scrambles.
It's great.
You're raising money for a good cause.
the Casa
Casa House
Not Casa House
What is it?
Casa of Travis County
It's for kids
But they do the deal
We're like
Hey if you pay
100 bucks a man
You can just take a one
You guys can take a one
On this next par five
On a part five
Right down a one
And
And you have to do it
Here's the thing
We were playing so well
At that point
We're like
Well not only do we want
To give back
A man
Not only do we want
want to give back, but we want to, if we want to be competitive in this thing, we have to do it.
So we did it.
Then they also have the people going around selling string for like, we did, we did not do.
Because like, we were kind of cocky.
What's the string?
String is like if you buy, however amount of string you buy, if you have a putt within that,
it's an automatic make.
So the longer the string, the more cost of it.
So if you have 30 feet of string and you got a 30 footer for Bertie, that's it, put
down a birdie can you use it like a seven and then a 10 and then can you add up great question i don't know
probably because we didn't do it and i haven't done that a long time but yeah we didn't end up doing it
because we're like we're playing pretty well back nine just was just a grind it was very warm
uh friday was especially hot and we just we lost it we had we had a lot of fun though some dose of
a lot of riding us i'm sure a lot of fun yeah i mean my advice to you would be to enjoy the
charity golf tournament because all of them are
are awesome. They are. That's my advice to you. Okay. Good time. And also it was at 8 a.m.
T time. So it was back home at 2, 132. Right into that 5 o'clock T-ball practice. Oh, man.
You talk about like kids who really need to not have a 5 o'clock tea ball practice when it's 99 degrees.
They boys were dropping like flies. We had injuries. We had no, nothing major, but we had kids getting
hurt like three different sets of tears just just chaos parks had a uh a private lesson on
saturday at 3 30 and he was like dad i i don't know if i can make it it was so bad it was very
humid and hot yeah it was it was tough um luckily i think that we're beyond that i kind of have a
feeling this friday's practice might get rained out or at least washed out but um yeah
Saturday rolled around
I caught about
I caught about 10 minutes
now 15 minutes of the
Texas game before Rhodes
and I and my son hit the road
saw the opening Texas drive
they look great on that drive I was like
that is
that's a juggernaut team right there
if they can that's how they can look on offense
the game was much more complicated
we'll get to that in a bit
drove up
went to banana ball
stopped to my parents said what's up
had a little chicken filet
drove out to arlington
man that's a very easy drive duncanville
to globe life
paid 50 bucks to park
didn't love that
parkflation real
50 bucks dude
I don't know where you parked
that's crazy 20 so
we had a spot we we parked
real ones know if you
uh if you pulled down a randle mill
and you go there's uh there's these uh office complexes
these single-story office complexes that you paid a park in that used to be 20 bucks.
There's a subway, and it's where my buddies and I always always park because it's easy to get out of there.
And we paid 50 bucks because it's about a 15-minute walk from the ballpark.
You go out, you go right, and then about one minute later, you're at 360.
And next thing you know, you're southbound going to I-20.
So it's very easy.
We'll talk more banana ball.
Rhodes had a blast.
He slept on.
We got him an air mattress to sleep on when he's at my parents' place.
Let me show you the comforter that he had and see if you can guess whose comforter this was before.
I will show you, Dylan.
Rodeys?
Wait, who is it belong to now?
Well, what do you think?
What are you seeing here?
It's that Ghostbusters.
Oh, Ghostbuzzle.
Oh, those are yours.
It's my comforter from, I guess that's a 35-year-old.
Comforter? That's sick. Which is insane. I'm sure my mom still has our Toy Story
Comforter. Dave's a big Ghostbusters guy, if you all didn't know that about it.
I'm going to send this to Randy. The folks at home, it's a visual show. You should be watching
on Spotify or YouTube, if I may. But yeah, I'm going to send this to Randy because it might be,
some people might get a kick out. A little dose of nostalgia. Certainly was for me when I was
like looking for betting in my parents' closet. And I was like, y'all still have this Ghostbusters
comforter? There it is.
Ghostbusters the cartoon, of course.
Yeah.
That's great.
Dude, shout out.
Dude, those sheets look mad, pissable.
Yeah, you did not be pissed.
He definitely pissed on that.
I've definitely pissed on that.
Oh, my God, dude.
The amount of times I pissed those is unbelievable.
You have no clue how many times I peed in those.
As a kid, he was just a certified wet boy.
Yeah, yeah.
Straight up pissing, dude.
Okay.
Rhodes did not pee them.
It was great.
It was great time.
Got up the next morning.
morning. My dad went and hit, uh, you know, you know the deal, hit donut out there,
Cedar Ridgeway. Dude, everybody loves donut. There was a, when you were, uh, getting some popcorn,
they were doing a donut chant and Rose was getting really into it. Really? Don't know.
I missed the donut chant. Oh, yeah. Uh, I got to, I don't know if my dad's watching this,
but I got to, I got to put him on blast, put him on front street. He said something I've never,
He pronounced something that is so obvious, I thought, in a way that I thought he was doing a bit.
Maybe he was.
So he bought some Capri Sons.
And he goes, he goes, hey, Toll Rhodes.
Toad Rhodes, we got some Capri Sones here if he wants one.
And I go, what?
He goes, I bought some Capri Sones.
Capri Sones?
And I go, Capri Sons?
He goes, yeah, however you say it, I'm like, it's not Caprisones.
How?
I don't know, dude.
It's sons, S-U-N-S.
Maybe he's doing, maybe, I mean, that's what you pronounce.
Dude, it might have been a high-level bit.
Maybe he's, he listened too much circling back.
I was just like, is that like an Italian sparkling water?
What, what are you talking about?
My dad calls Steve Sarkeesian Sarcassian, Sarcassian.
Sarcassian
Sarcassian
Sarcassian
Yeah
It's like dude
It's an I
After the K
God
Crazy
Oh man
And Sunday
Sunday after the donut
We had
We were on the road
At like 745
Straight down 35
Made it about
2 hours 45 minutes
Right into T ball
A noon game
Which they tied
But
I'm pretty
They should have got the dub
Because they got
Like much more outs
Much like
many more outs than the other team.
I don't know.
It was weird.
Roads only got two at bats just because of how the game went.
It was a slow game.
And I felt really bad because he was out there about to hit
and they hit the five run limit.
And then the ump was like,
we're probably not going to have another inning because like the time limit.
Yeah, yeah.
He's only going to bat twice.
That's a bummer.
Happens of Parks a lot, man.
Those games is just kind of slow at times.
We had an ump, like a by the book,
older ump,
who I kind of appreciated.
Like, he knew all the rules.
He almost, he almost, so we had a pitcher, like, one of our better players is playing a pitcher.
And like, if they hit the ball to the left side of the mound, they're not allowed to field it and run and step on first.
They have to throw it from over there.
I guess to, I guess to facilitate more real, I don't know.
But like, this kid is a hawk.
Like this kid, like, gets it and just boom, sprints across.
and the ump came over and he's like
next time that'll be
I'm gonna have to call the kids safe because
if it's on that side
I don't mind I don't mind that
I don't either I don't either
it's like he's got to get the out though
yeah expecting a five year old to catch a ball
and it's a risky endeavor
there's been maybe one catch at first
as far
it's tough
then I watch some
I watch some football
You watch them boys, I'm imagining.
Yeah, I'm not going to even talk about it.
It's just me rambling to myself and just like going through thoughts that I've just compartmentalized since yesterday.
So I'm just not going to talk about it.
But made some stakes though.
I also made some stakes.
Good for you.
I did a couple grass-fed rib-eyes show at H-E-B.
Good.
The boys ate some too.
Well, there you go.
Got a lot.
What's our show?
Lanterns.
We got to say I got some some Giro's, gyros, however you want to pronounce Giroz.
Placed by us outside the hookah lounge.
They have a food truck now.
Pretty, it was really good.
I don't know where that is.
On Jones Road, kind of by the where that stadium is that high school, it's not a high school stadium, but it's like a fake stadium.
How you want to meet me, yeah.
Burger Center.
Yeah.
It's an AISD like all purpose.
It's a stadium.
I mean, it is a stadium.
Gotcha.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just weird because it's not attached to a certain high school.
Yeah, yeah. It's all purpose. AISD.
Hey, I was watching me and me down at Jones with some swipes.
Go get some ass-patterers.
Well, I'm a baby backer. I don't get it. What do you? What is that, Joe?
You got any swabs for me?
You guys, you got any swaps?
You guys got any swaps. You guys got any swaps?
You guys got a swaps for me?
You swat me? I got to get one of those chicken strips.
You got to Cody.
He got so many free meals.
You got any swipes?
You guys got any swipes.
God, that sounds so good.
Jones Hall was goaded, dude.
Jones Hall in San Marquez was good.
That was the dining hall.
The one, like, you know, you have like the really good one.
Mm-hmm.
Or the one that you think the time is really good.
It was Jealous Jones.
That was, I think they had a Panda Express.
I think that was Wiley for us.
Wiley was the steak and cookie dining court.
He'd get like steaks every single time.
I was a bigger fan of Ford, but while it was the one.
Hell yeah.
And that's that.
Okay.
We'll talk banana ball later right now.
talk poncho oh uh it's a visual shell um we're both rocking brand new poncho Dave
that shirt is is very Dave you have that one in I believe a similar color of what I'm
wearing like a tan one that's a darker green this is from the best seller list oh this is one
of their best sellers as well um wait to you see the one I'm gonna hit you out with soon as soon
as like that that first front comes through oh my god I I'm I was so excited when we got
this up I got Rhodes a shirt I also got I don't
I don't want to spoil it, but one day I'm going to come in here hitting y'all with a shooting shirt.
Dude.
Shooting sure goes hard.
I stared at it for about a minute before I decided not to get it.
I don't want to be a poser, but that thing is awesome.
Yeah, this is, I'm a huge fan of this.
I'm also a huge fan of their denim.
It's Western inspired, never stiff, built-in stretch, made for performance.
We both have the same denim.
The Marfa, the light-washed denim is probably my favorite shirt.
Did you get a flannel?
I did not get one, but I do have one.
that I've had one from like years ago that I love.
I was looking at that shooting shirt too.
Just wait till tomorrow when I hit you with my poncho.
I wanted to rock the bananas today,
but tomorrow I'm rocking my poncho and it's going to be looking.
I heard you a heavy t-shirt.
I did.
I did.
You had max value on your poncho a lot of that.
He said, let's load the closet.
Sure.
They got the corduroy, huge for fall,
rugged but soft, worn in feel with a touch of stretch.
Man, it's awesome.
we were talking about this like
I'm just going to go home and tonight
and I'm going to just hang this back up
it's so breathable, it's so comfy
I don't I don't sweat in it

In blue.
Great move.
Great move.
Pancho.
It's our favorite shirt.
Wow.
We got a situation at University of Wisconsin.
All right.
This hit the T.L.
I mean, the news started to get around, I think, on Thursday.
And Will was in here.
He goes, hey, you guys talk poop pledges today.
I said, what are you talking about?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Anyway, we missed it on Thursday.
But story out of University of Wisconsin, like I
said in the fraternity a e pie a e pie a e pie yeah alpha epsilon pie no your fucking greek
letters dave why okay this why you're a spring pledge come on they're in a bed of hot water
turns out they gathered their pledge class in a basement type of room it looked like a basement 30 of
them and they gave them all miralax which i guess is uh one of those things that just makes you
shit. A laxative? This is alleged. A laxative.
So this is, wait, the laxative stuff is like, that is in like a police report or what?
There are some texts that have been leaked. And that's where I got the Miralax thing from.
So because there's a pledge that was texting his buddy and giving details on what happened.
So we were all forced to take Mirralax. And then we had to shit in our friends, our Pledge Brothers hands.
There's no way.
And if we didn't do it, then they were beating the shit out of us.
I find that.
Okay.
As dumb as college dudes are, I can't believe that.
This is the stuff that, like, the guys in the house when we were, like, pledging would say that they did back 10 years ago.
Yeah.
So.
I got to say, in the news stories I read, I did not see this.
This is from CBS News.
Two 20-year-olds were arrested after police were called to the scene an alleged hazing incident.
The Madison Police Department said they received an anonymous tip about an event.
at an unaccredited, they're not officially recognized by the university, by the way,
A.E. Pyrtonity. When they ride at the house, they found 20 partially clothed males covered in food,
condiments, and other liquids. And the thermostat was set to 81 degrees. Yes, I found a complex,
of course. And several of them had visible injuries consistent with being abused. Complex said
frat leaders arrested after 30 students were found in basement, set to 81 degrees. I just like that
frat leaders is now kind of making its way into the culture after the uh yeah as u frat leader because
we had never really thought of calling them frat leaders yeah i don't know man i don't know what the
mystery liquids are um this is all in the this is yeah the picture's very very uh it's giving
uh cia black sight yeah uh torture i mean i'll throw up on the screen i don't know if i want to
throw this for the the folks at home i don't know it is we don't know what it's yeah their faces are
blurred out and it looks like, I don't know what all that stuff is on the floor, but it looks disgusting
in there. You can kind of smell the picture, one of those. Listen, if you are, if you're at one of these
things, you don't have to participate. I just want to point that out. Like, you can, these hands don't
haze. You can get the fuck out of there. Like, I don't want to be any, I don't want to be a part of this.
If they drop you, then that's probably not the worst thing in the world. Yeah. This is unbelievable.
The story, the news source I read said that they have a, they've had a hazing allegation.
in the past.
I don't think they're affiliated with the school.
They are at,
no, they're not.
They're off campus.
Yeah.
Off campus.
You got to kind of watch out for the off campus one.
Yeah.
It's usually like a,
can either be really good or really bad.
Well, yeah,
they did arrest a couple guys and
said to charge with misdemeanor hazing
amongst some other stuff.
I didn't realize it was just a misdivistence.
That's just a misdemeanor, huh?
Wisconsin.
Look, don't, don't do this ever.
Don't this is way way way too far
We went through some some hazing rituals
But nothing
Not these hands
I'm just simply not going to do this
Like if you want to drop me that's fine
But I'm not gonna shit in my friend's hand
I don't think that really happened
There's that's not a there's no one's doing that
Is Miralax what they give you before the colonoscopy?
I should know that I know it's all
As the only one years had the camera
Unless you've had one
No but I should get one
I'm gonna do it soon
Do you want to do it?
Like, you want to go live and do it?
No.
Did you see the, like, I'm assuming he was a not a real journal.
I don't know.
He seemed kind of young.
He seemed like a.
A real guy?
I don't know.
Maybe this was really.
Did you see?
Oh, yes.
This is the best.
This is funny.
I'm glad you found this because I forgot to put it on here.
It might, maybe the best like, like, uh, like throwing off the press, like saying like,
I'm not answering.
Have you seen this day?
It's kind of hard.
I've not.
Play this.
Were you hazed or were you doing the hazing?
Relax, pal.
Some of it, I edit.
The inflection he uses to relax, relax, relax, bow.
Unbelievable.
Play it one more time.
I hate that Instagram.
You can't just like rewind.
Yeah, I know.
What are we doing?
Just get, heck yeah, man.
The most ridiculous edit, too.
All right, here we go.
Guys, were you hazed or were you doing the hazing?
Relax, pal.
Relax, pal.
Relax, Paul.
That's so good.
A news reporter.
He scoffs and then says, relax, pal.
I saw where, um, I saw where, um, I saw where the, uh, police, police were, like, frustrated
because they were getting different stories, like, nobody, like, nobody they interviewed.
Like, they all, I think they all kind of kept their mouth shut.
But they all had different stories, like what they were doing down there.
Much like the Iowa situation.
Yeah.
It was a celebration.
This looks, this one looks worse than Iowa just because you could just feel the, they just look miserable.
You know it smelled crazy in there.
Oh, God.
Well, Iowa one looked just like ketchup and mustard and, you know, condiments.
This one seemed like this.
This one did say this, the news source said, mystery liquid.
It did look like.
They look to be some poo-poo do-do.
They're in a basement, like on a dirty dirt basement floor.
And you know they had to clean it up, too, after.
Well, maybe not because the cop showed up.
So maybe not.
This is a tough.
This is a tough one.
There maybe is an undercover cop angle, too.
I don't know if that's verified or not.
Someone said that on Twitter.
And we were talking through it.
There's no way that someone's assignment as a law enforcement officer was to go undercover and go through pledged ship.
Yeah.
It's like there's just no way
Now if you told me there was an undercover at the Penn State
That would make more sense
Where you're doing like a relatively
High-level drug boss
Yeah
For just hate you're not you're not sending
An undercover through this
Imagine getting that assignment
I mean that is
I'm so far
But you gotta go through pledges
Dude it's about to suck for me
I'm so fog
I'm the worst fuck
Hell weeks next week it's gonna be awful
What if they flip too
These are my brothers for life
I can't I can't
I can't fucking
This is a good screenplay
We should write this screenplay.
I mean, 22 Drumstreet is kind of that.
They undercover college students.
Oof, Baker's missing three weeks with a thumb, Dylan.
You guys are thumb brothers.
He was screaming in pain.
It looked tough.
The thumb, uh, the thumbs,
very important.
He hit it off someone's arm.
Oof, I hate those, those slow moes.
Yeah, yeah.
Tough.
Three weeks.
Yeah, these hands, just remember, these hands are just, they don't haze,
famously.
Okay.
Should we just jump right into banana ball?
Let's do banana ball right now.
So about, oh, I don't know, seven, eight months ago, we discussed Savannah bananas.
I don't know how it jumped onto our radar.
We were aware of them before that, but Dylan expressed his very, very, his displeasure with banana ball in general.
found it to be a mockery of the game, the great game.
The game that I love.
The game that he loves.
And that clip, it went pretty viral.
One of our bigger clips and it gained a lot of traction,
so much so that we had Banana Ball players, Savannah Bananas,
was replying.
And the people from Banana Ball, somebody who works in their marketing department,
reached out and said, hey, we would love to have you guys out for a game.
And that was a long time ago.
And credit to Randy for keeping up with it.
And Randy's like, do you want to go?
games coming up. And I was like, well, actually, let's just go. I'm going to bring my son,
who's unfamiliar with Banana Ball. He's almost six. But yeah, let's go. It'd be fun for him.
Get out of the house. And we went. We went Saturday evening. And Friday night had a lot of buzz
because I guess this is something they do. They bring out local celebs, local athletes,
particularly our Texas Rangers, legends.
Legends.
Rafi.
Friday night was Josh Hamilton.
Okay.
One of the most purely, one of the most talented baseball players, I will say, to ever play baseball.
Pure talent.
Career did not pan out to be.
Had some demons.
Had a lot of demons and has had trouble since then.
And I kind of was a little surprised that they brought them out.
But as far as just a athlete.
with all the tools and was just incredibly talented at baseball.
He was up there.
We go.
Randy, for some reason, Randy, you went very early.
The game is at seven.
Gates open at 4.30.
Let's get this proper.
Let's get this proper.
My H-E-B hat on as well.
I walked up to our seats and I just see this.
Do they give those away?
Apparently they're giving them out in the parking lot.
I saw a bunch of people
walking around them so I asked the guy, I'm like,
hey, where did you get that?
He was like, oh, they're out there,
but we have an extra one.
Do you want this one?
I'm like, well, yeah, I do.
So now I'm a real H-EB cowboy.
Okay, okay.
That's great.
You got there about three hours earlier
than my son and I.
Yeah, we got there.
I guess the festivities start technically at two.
That's when they had some of the player appearances.
Keep in mind, this is all outside of the stadium.
This is not cover.
This is very hot.
Yeah, they don't let people in until I think 4.30.
So like the whole, or no, or something like that.
Yeah, the tailgate starts early and they're like they have a stage and they're doing bits up there.
There's a band.
They're like they're bringing out the cheerleaders, which are like dad bod guys and the guys come.
They're doing.
There's a lot of cheerleader adjacent.
Yeah.
People in this thing.
It was a, I think they, in general, I think they do a.
somewhat with their language, a good job of trying to separate them to say that they're not
like a sport. Because they say the show starts at this time and introduce you to the cast.
It's not like the players and the team. It's the cast. So like they do know that like they are
not baseball. They do try to. It's banana ball. Yeah. They make the difference there. But yeah,
it was fun. It was hot out there. But got some merch, of course. Genuinely can't believe how early y'all
got there um i'm sitting there like what time should i'm like game starts at seven or the show
starts at seven uh i'd like i'd like for roads to this is a big commitment coming up here
i'd like to make it through most of this and uh if we get there too early which we kind of did
we got there 5 3 5 o'clock 5 30 luckily um the insta the stadium global i feel where the rangers
play. Their season's done, by the way. Cool. They do a ton of pre-show bits. It is, it is not just like
music and stuff on the Jumbotron. It is like they bring a fan out there to hit off of a T in the
outfield to see if he can hit a home run. Like they do, they've got stuff going the whole time.
Yeah. So like they have a bunch of pre stuff in the parking lot tailgate. And then as soon as you're in,
it's like 10 minutes to get situated and then they already start.
getting stuff going on the field
before the game actually starts.
Rhodes wore his
Oak Hill
T-ball jersey from last year
his Cubby's T-ball jersey
wore his current
Chief's hat,
T-ball Chiefs hat,
and he brought his glove.
Of course.
You got to bring your glove.
Catch a foul ball.
It's an out.
Yeah.
You know,
and that happened.
And it's kind of electric
when that happens also.
There was a few.
Our seats were great.
Shout out to,
what's our guy's name?
Aidan?
Seats were.
were behind home plate just to the left just to the right if you're fake you know from the
looking from the mound and section 110 right above like second level great seats
great view of everything um i will say there's a shocking amount of adults who are just
adults no no kids that are into this um that surprised me like got all the jerseys on and
stuff uh it kind of reminded me of a little bit of like a disney adult situation
I was like, damn.
Another thing is they sold out Globe Life, I think, or got close to it three days in a row.
The place was packed.
The place is packed.
And these kids are super into it.
There's so many little league kids.
Rhodes was out.
Rhodes was one of the few kids who didn't have some sort of banana ball, Savannah Banana jersey or a Texas Tailgators jersey.
And there's grown fans who are like latched on to the Texas Tailgators.
that that's what they wore.
Like they were there to root on the tailgators.
Hell yeah.
Which I wanted you to do.
Yeah.
I was polled for him and luckily they got the dub.
They had more points, Dylan.
Can I understand?
It's a point play.
It's very interesting because I didn't not really realize
that it was an actual league competition.
Like this isn't like the Harlem Globetrotters
where they're like performing.
The bananas aren't winning every game.
Yeah, like bananas lost are.
game and it's like an actual competition how they do it is a two hour game like it's they start a
clock and it runs there's a clock two hours so nine innings if you get through the full one and you
win the inning based on you get a point for winning the inning so it's based on runs in the inning
but like you can you know the bananas put up five runs in the first inning but then like tailgators
put up six like the so then it's one zero yeah so it's in one zero and then the last inning
depending on whether that be inning nine
or when the two hour time comes down
and that's now the last inning
is all based on runs.
So like it was three to zero heading into the ninth inning for us.
So like the bananas had a way.
Our runs were double.
Yeah, I think that, I don't know.
I think they were just based on runs.
In the ninth you get double, I think.
So it's very interesting.
They make it to the end still competitive.
I will say this.
They run a playlist.
the entire game.
And it totally changes the dynamic
because it's typically a pretty banger-filled playlist.
Yeah.
You're getting every at-bat,
like they don't cut the music down for the abat.
It is like you're getting Taylor Swift through the abat.
You are getting Sir Mix a lot through the abat.
And there's a lot of good song.
It's fun.
And the at-bats are quick.
Like I think these,
The pitchers are on a 10 second pitch count.
They're like just throwing heat immediately.
Wow.
The guy, okay, before the game leading up, there's a tailgator guy, and then there's the guy
for the bananas, who's their catcher.
He's, he's like his bit.
He's like the MC for- He's the guy who's great on the mic.
And they start off with the bit where he's at one part of the stadium, the other guys at the
other, and they've got these hot dogs or they got hamburgers wrapped in foil.
And they've got a guy down there on the field who's got like an old school charcoal grill.
And they're throwing them off from, like, the upper deck.
And this kid's, like, running around catching them in the grill.
That kind of shit's fun.
Yeah.
It is fun.
Like, this is before the games.
You're like, oh, thank God.
I'm not just sitting here for the next hour with my kid waiting.
Because Rhodes was like, dad, when's it seven?
When does it start?
He was, like, worried about it.
You want to see some ball?
He did.
Because he knew I go Rhodes.
They can do back flips.
He goes, they can do back flips.
He catches the ball.
The first at bat.
The first at bat, dude.
Couldn't have worked out better.
Just a routine fly ball left.
Back flip catch.
Bang.
All the pop flies, the dudes get it.
They pop it up and they juggle it.
All these dudes, by the way, are extreme cocky baseball guy.
They are the tip of the spear of cocky baseball guys.
From hair to tats, eye black, to how they wear the hat like atop their head.
how they just are swaggy in the infield,
where they get it,
and the way they flick it over to first.
And every play is like,
if they can get it behind the back
or if they can do like a,
you know, between the legs,
they're doing it.
And it's so,
it's very impressive,
but it is also like,
God,
that's so annoyed.
They're tracking the trick plays on the screen.
They track the trick play.
I'll say as far as the actual players,
because like the cast,
there's a bunch of people surrounding the team too
that are doing like,
stuff around at all times.
They're outside of the dugout, like, constantly dancing.
Like, there's always, you are going to see some moves.
The third base, um, up over there, he is, he is like the dancing up.
He's the little bald guy, a shaved head guy with the big beard.
Yeah, yeah, that guy.
He's constantly going.
It's the same umpire crew for every game.
Yeah.
Well, the first base umpires a ninja.
Yeah, I've seen him.
Who's incredibly athletic, by the way.
Oh, that was what I was about to say is that the players actually,
playing are insanely athletic. They're like launching balls into like the top like seats for like
fans to get up there. And also HBO. I don't think there's a single bad looking guy on the field.
This, this trend's hot. They're hot guys. Some of the guys are just wearing their jersey.
And they're real ball players. They don't just like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They're like,
find guys who can dance and teach them out of play baseball. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They, they are, um,
I will say if I have one thing they could get rid of, I don't really need the live band.
The sound wasn't great.
Yeah.
And they kind of have like at times in lieu of playlist, they'll go, here's the, I don't know,
whatever the official band of the tailgators is.
And they've got like a guy that a drum kit, a bass and a guitar.
And you're just like, all right.
It doesn't sound great and it's very loud.
It was kind of sick, though, when they hit it over there and the guy that's singing makes a play.
They did have a singer out there.
There's a guy who's going to be on Dancing from the Stars.
who is like the fan favorite.
Jackson, yeah.
All the moms knew him.
And like,
hot guy.
Yeah,
very,
very hot guy.
His dancing partner was out there with him.
And they entered him,
like they walked out doing like a ballroom dance type thing.
He got the,
I think he probably got the biggest cheers.
Oh,
yeah,
for sure.
For sure.
People loved him.
You know,
it was,
I mean,
look,
it's entertaining.
I'll say that.
Oh,
I mean,
it was like Rhodes,
Rhodes had a great time.
We were talking about this earlier.
So I was like, do you want to go get some merch?
He was like, I want the, I want a foam finger.
I was like, all right, which one do you want?
He's like, I want the blue Rangers one.
Like, you don't want like one of the teams that's playing?
Because they had the Rangers merch shop open.
He's like, were you quietly proud of him for choosing Rangers?
I was.
I was like, dude, that kind of rules.
He's like, blue is my favorite color.
I'm like, all right, let's get it.
The Tailgators are blue too.
So he chose Rangers over Tailgators.
And then, uh,
The funniest thing, he like, he like didn't know what to do with it.
So he just stood there the whole time with it just up in the air, holding it up,
like wanting to be part of it.
It was so funny.
It was so funny.
He would like switch off from the number one to the mitt, like just every so often he would like switch between whether he's wearing the foam finger or his mitt.
He was getting into some of those things.
Like the guitar like solos.
He, they had a dude.
out and just rip Freebird.
And I guess that's the thing.
He's like, it's the seventh inning.
You know what that means.
Time for Freebird.
We're like, yeah.
Okay.
And it's just the Freebird solo.
There's always, I played a pretty, he did an okay version.
They do, they do something at every moment.
Only like while the game is playing, like we said, there's always someone dancing or something
happening on the outskirts.
But like during every team, you know, fielding change or every inning, they are doing
something in between the inning.
Like there was like a baby race.
There was like, there was like a kid.
The baby race was was shockingly electric where if you bring a baby, there's people who bring
their babies to this, come down to the field, enter this contest.
And it's just like a crawl thing.
And eight out of ten of the babies just sit there and cry.
And then two of them will start to go and stop.
And everybody just starts getting going nuts to the point to where I'm sure these babies
are terrified.
Like one of them would start going and then everybody starts cheering.
And then it would stop.
like what what's going on.
But it was pretty,
pretty electric baby race,
I got to say.
Overall,
like I would say it was a very fun experience
if you have an opportunity.
Like if don't go in there like thinking it's baseball like,
but they get the fan so involved.
You were constantly singing along and like cheering and it's,
it's a very fun time.
They had a sax player and he came and sat next like he sat sat like,
he sat like two seats down from Meg.
Mm-hmm.
And I was sure that we were going to like be a part of it.
He didn't play anything.
Like it wasn't.
like a bit. I think they just send people to like part of the end game experience is like
they'll come and sit next to you or like, uh, that's how they started the game was a riff
off between the tailgators, a guitar guy and the banana's saxophone guy. Kind of dope, actually.
That dude, the guitar player on the tailgators, I don't know if you noticed it, he's incredibly
fast. He's a, he's a player on the tailgators and that dude can chop. They've got, they've got some
dudes who are high-level athletes.
And I left this thing thinking, like,
these are guys who didn't want to do like a minor league grind.
And they're just like, let's just do this.
They get paid four times what a minor leagueer does.
Probably, yeah.
I think that's right.
And also, I bet they're like, I'm just going to go do this, probably go town to town.
Probably going to get some ass doing this.
Of 23, I'm probably not good enough to make the majors.
I don't want to go ride buses around.
Peoria, no offense.
Yeah.
Let's just go do this, go town to town.
These guys are in Arlington for three days.
If you know Cowboys Arlington, which is right there, it's like the cool honky
talk in Arlington that we used to go to, I bet these guys were there cleaning up.
I bet these guys are just madness.
They're hot guys.
When they go town to town of bars.
I bet these guys rolled deep.
Overall, I'll say like the organization itself is a very positive organization.
Like, I think they do a lot to like, you know, there's like definitely some.
some make-a-wish implications there.
Like, they do a lot of, like, philanthropy.
It was overall, like, I felt good about supporting this thing.
And, like, these are good people from what it seems like.
I think so.
Yeah.
Look, it was, it was good.
It's a lot.
It is a lot.
Yeah.
But the kid, every kid I saw had a blast.
And I just can't imagine being, like, the centerpiece of a viral clip shitting on these guys.
Yeah, I kind of neither.
Would you go again?
if Rhodes wanted to go again, I would go again.
Mm-hmm.
But it was quite fun.
The one thing I did not like-
Glad you guys enjoyed it.
If it was just, if it was, they didn't mean like just us
and like I wouldn't have my kid there,
it would have been a funny, it would have been really funny.
Rhodes got so when they, because they had the babies race,
and then the next inning, they had the dads with the babies.
The dads had a race on their butts.
And the kick that Rhodes got out of that,
he like was laughing so much of that.
They brought out, so Saturday,
we mentioned Josh Hamilton,
Saturday night,
they bring out
Rangers legend,
Raphael Palmero.
Dave was excited.
Smooth swing in Roth.
Oh, Rafi.
From the left,
from the,
oh my God,
bats left,
just pulling it down the line.
They couldn't throw him a meatball.
They throw him,
he gets in,
he hits into an inning,
double play.
I'm like,
fuck,
can you just let Rafi
rip one down the line?
Rafi,
like,
I mean,
that's a,
that's a player from like,
my 90s fanhood
he was awesome man you know
might have had some issues
might have lied to congress
we don't know
just fucking deal with it
he should be in the hall
that dude was awesome
but that was cool
and then I guess yesterday
they brought out Prince Fielder
okay
he's only a Ranger for three years
but still Prince Fielder was fun
yeah I thought that too
when I'm like you're not just gonna throw him
like an easy one like everyone wants to see this guy
like hit a home run
he's not hustling to first base
but I'm like also as part of that they're an actual league and they are playing.
When they started the show and like they like when they kind of cut everything and like a milly starts playing Lil Wayne, the beat.
I looked over Randy.
I was like, dude, are they about to bring Lil Wayne out?
Yeah.
I thought for a second little Wayne was coming out.
I was like, is this really happening?
But it was not Little Wayne.
That's okay.
It's very also interesting to see when they win an inning.
if you like the home team so it's like you know the bottom you can hit off like a walk off single
if you like get an rbi just because like all right that's an inning like we we won the ending
because we have more runs so it's it's very fast-paced gameplay from when the actual game is
being played and it's fun tailgators man took it home took home that dub i don't know if they
won the series or not i need to go back and check the box score overall i would i would recommend
if you get a chance to go do you bring a kid don't love it bring a kid you
or your girlfriend.
Or your girlfriend.
She was into it probably more than any of the three of us.
Yeah.
Glad you guys had a good time.
I'm glad Rhodes had a good time.
He had a blast.
It was fun, man.
He got to go home and was up until 10.
Got home, found the candy bowl at my parents' house.
Had some chocolate way too late.
He ate cotton candy at the game.
He went cotton candy, Bahama Bucs,
Bama Bucks.
Is that snow cone?
Snow cone.
Or shaved ice, excuse me.
And then some popcorn out of a big old boot.
Yeah.
And your boy went, your boy went back-to-back,
Mickalob, drafts.
You didn't try the Savannah banana beer?
No.
I didn't know that.
I didn't know that.
I did a boomstick.
And I can't.
I can report that it's not that good.
How long do you think that is like three, four feet long?
It's two and a half for three, right?
It was not that good, but it was funny.
Is it a corn dog?
What is it?
No, it's a hot dog.
Hot dog.
Well, honestly, like, I talk about, like, how good the practice they must do.
Maybe, maybe most guys who get to that level can do a lot of this stuff.
But, like, the way they just, like, catch it behind their back and stuff, I'm like, pretty good.
They don't fuck up a lot.
Yeah, their practices don't look like a typical baseball team practice.
I'm curious how.
It's just like circus tricks.
I'm curious how often they're.
I said to Dave, like, at one point, because, you got, of course, all the ball players
out there, but on all the people on the sides. I'm like, this, this is what clown college I feel
like is for as like entertainers and stuff. I'm, I want to be surprised as some of those people,
like the cheerleaders went to clown college. The tailgators have a, uh, like a, a country team
where it's like girls wearing like real high jean shorts. The Texas two stepers. Yeah,
two stepers. And then like the, the, the, uh, the guys are in wranglers and like,
Pearl Snaps and they, they just, they do like country dancing, but like to cool country. It's a lot.
lot of like, I like my truck, fucking lifted country music getting played to.
There's a lot of that.
That's a big part of the scene.
I'm going to tell you.
Oh, yeah.
It's a lot of that.
A lot of F-250 music.
I can imagine.
That's fun.
The one criticism I think I have overall with Banana Ball, with it being so, they're holding
as fans first, all very fan, like gets everyone involved.
We could not get one good wave going the entire time.
Like, they need a, as part of the show, they're like,
We need to do some for some stuff with the wave.
Listen, waves get hate on a lot by people.
I think they're awesome.
Yeah.
Just don't do it while your team's bad.
Do we did it?
We did it.
We did the wave at Wrigley and we crushed.
Really?
Absolutely crushed.
Yeah.
I remember when I was like in middle school, I used to go to Purdue Games.
Their student section was really good.
They would like start a slow-mo wave and it would get halfway around the stadium and then
they would start a regular wave to catch up with it.
Like there's some cool stuff that you can do with the wave.
Bonus waves.
Saturday nights with my wife and friends Sunday morning with my kids.
Those are both non-negotiables.
I'm intentional about both, but zbiotics pre-alcohol fits right into that mindset.
How about zibiotics, pre-alcohol probiotic drink, the world's first genetically engineered probiotic?
It was engineered by PhD microbiologists to break down acetyl-acetyldehyde, an unwanted by
product of alcohol metabolism.
Speaking of practice, I said, practice that word.
Make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night, drink responsibly, and enjoy your next
day activities.
Zbiotics has sold more than 14 million bottles, earn the trust of thousands, including
us.
Fun fact, a few years ago, we did a little golf trip to Wisconsin.
And my roommate, my buddy Pete, he pulled up with the whole thing of Z biotics.
He said, look, we're going to do this before we go out and we're going to have a better morning
for it. We're going to go out and play some golf. We're going to feel a lot better.
So I am a big believer in this. I have been since, I mean, before they were even a sponsor of the show.
Try it for yourself today. If you're unsatisfied, they will refund your entire order.
No questions asked. Go to zbiotics.com slash steam.
Enter code steam for 15% off your first order.
Again, zbiotics.com slash steam. Enter promo code steam 15% off your first order.
They're awesome. Check them out. I think it's a game-changing product. Z-biotics. It's a partner of ours. Z-biotics. All right, Dylan wants to talk to the community.
Yes, I do. We're going to have a segment here about college football. But before I do, there's a thread on the subreddit. And it's about football talk and how we're doing too much of it. First of all, I wanted to say, I hear you. We get it. Last week in particular, it was a very heavy.
ball week i mean we had first of all we had taylor mccarigan here on thursday and he is you know
that's our football guy that's like the guy who knows ball and of course we we spent the whole segment
or sorry whole episode pretty much talking about college football um i hear you we look we have
we have four episodes a week that we got to fill with content all right a lot of stuff going on
this time of year but a lot of it is football related so four episodes to fill obviously on
Thursday, we talk about the upcoming games.
And Monday we do like a little recap.
And so I kind of wanted to open the Florida discussion about it and see how you want to handle it moving forward, Dave.
I propose maybe we just do like a segment Monday, a segment on Thursday, you know, which is kind of what we have been doing in the past.
And I think it kind of got carried away a little bit last weekend.
Like I said, Taylor was here.
And I think Monday we talked quite a bit of football too.
So there was a lot last week.
We are going to try not to do as much moving forward.
I mean, in my opinion, Dave, feel free to chime in whenever you want to.
But I think it's fair to do like a segment Monday, not like a 45-minute segment, but, you know, we'll talk 15, 20 minutes about football.
And then on Thursday, we'll do another one.
Does that sound fair?
Is that, that doesn't feel like too much.
Like today, we had a lot of stuff.
We were an hour and five minutes and saying we haven't talked with football really yet, you know?
Thoughts?
Yeah.
I think best in a perfect world it's just a separate show
not saying like a whole set up podcast but like an additional
maybe something that lives on the circling back feed or maybe somewhere else
I don't really want to do yeah I don't want to spend like 45 minutes recapping each weekend
just kind of get the highlights I also don't want to come in and I don't know there's
There's always a lot of criticism that we do too much Texas talk.
That's always.
There's always that.
Then that's fair.
But at the same time, it's like, okay, so do you want us to like recap, like,
nobody wants to hear us recap like Big Ten games.
Yeah, what we're going to do.
We're not, we're not that dialed into that.
Now, we've got the, I'm going to save the JFFB3 for tomorrow just to give you guys
that because there's a lot of talk behind the scenes about what's going on there.
But, like, realistically, no one's, most people aren't listening to us to hear us recap
the entire slate. And we're also not going to pretend like we can speak super intelligently about
football and all facets stuff. Like that's not us. If we have a guest on and he want,
and we can get more in depth. Right, which is what we did on Thursday. But if Colin Simmons is going
to simulate pulling his meat out and pissing on the field at Aelin, we're going to, like,
we're going to talk about that. We have to. I definitely want to hit on the fun stuff.
We're going to hit on the fun stuff and like LSU, LSU defense intercepts a pass and they go right over to
the Aggie yell leaders and they were mocking them in their faces.
We're going to talk about that because that's hilarious.
And I love it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we're going to hit on fun stuff.
We're not going to, you know, get into X's and O's too much.
Obviously, like, that's not who we are.
I mean, we are going to talk about the fun stuff.
So I guess I know we've had this thrown out before with, I mean, I know I'm not a huge
football guy, but if like Thursday being a very big, like, college game day going into the
weekend, I feel like more people like what's coming up and like hearing about the season,
And if Thursday could be during the football season, very football heavy.
It's like, this is what's going on.
This is like all the implications, all that.
Because I feel like I wouldn't really want to hear so much of recapping a actual
game.
No, that's fair.
We're not going to recap.
Yeah, like the actual gameplay stuff.
We're going to hit on the like the highlight, like the fun highlights of the weekend.
Yeah.
On Monday.
That's what I think a smaller segment on Monday that is the fun stuff like this.
And then Thursday could be very, very.
ball heavy in my opinion like i think that wouldn't be too bad if people don't like football like
they don't have to tune in i'm gonna push up push back a little bit like we do three i mean three
public shows a week that aren't typically completely ball heavy so like doing like last week like
like doing that one because we had taylor here and it was an especially good college football
slate like that i don't think that's that crazy yeah you know what i mean yeah i mean yeah i mean there's
of other stuff to, I think, appease to everyone.
Yeah.
You know, Tuesday and Wednesday, we're, you know, we were all over the place, not just football.
I get it.
It's, I mean, and we're lucky that people who are like, this is, this shows ingrained
in their routine.
And, like, you know, if you're not the biggest college football fan or you get your
college football at one of the other many options of getting good college football,
a podcast breakdown, like, I get it.
And it's not going to happen that much.
But, yeah, I don't think we're, you're not going to hear like a full recap.
on Mondays going forward.
We are going to hit on like the absurd.
There are also are people in there who are like,
we like football talk.
So it's,
we have to strike a balance.
You know,
we're all going to talk about it.
We also don't want to make this a football show
because that's not what it is.
So anyway.
Yeah.
Having said all that,
we hear the feedback.
We will stay mindful of it moving forward.
And also Colin Simmons pulled out his dick
and pissed on the field at Nalen Stadium.
And he got like 15 yards.
Boy, I got to tell you, finding out about that while driving with my son in the backseat
and not being able to like see it.
And I'm just like, I'm voice texting, y'all.
Like, what the fuck just happened?
Dude, it would have been, it would have been fourth and 29.
At a moment in the game, like a few minutes before half time.
It's 10-3, right?
I believe so.
Like, a few minutes before halftime, like we, momentum is squarely on Texas side.
And this, obviously the 15-yard penalty, automatic first down, it was like a 40 or 45-yard, like, difference in field position.
Here it is.
If you haven't, I'm sure you have, but if you haven't.
Yeah, if you're on Spotify, pull out your phone right now and watch this.
It's insane.
Everybody's seen it by now.
Yeah, he pulls it out.
Yeah, it seems to be a subset.
And then he gets flagged and he throws his arms up.
He throws his arms up, like, what did I do?
What do you mean?
What did you do?
I was so mad at him in this moment because, like I said, it completely halted all the momentum that Texas had, which was quite a bit.
Look, if they're up 30, like, I'm more okay with it, but it was a very important part of the game.
It's like, dude, what are we doing?
What are we doing?
He's in that mode, man.
It's funny, it's funny seeing the grab bag of responses from everyone.
Like, I'm on a message board, like a Texas football-centric message board.
Dude, there are threads everywhere that it's like, he needs to be.
be suspended for multiple games. This is an embarrassment to the university. And then you have
like younger guys who I imagine are younger, like, do this is fucking hilarious. Shut up.
Can I also say it's really funny that the president was there?
I wonder if he was like he was paying attention to what it actually happened. The responses
that everyone had been hilarious. And by the way, this was one of two dick related celebrations
from Texas on the day. Running back where Leake Brown scored a touchdown. And then he
He did a gesture which looks like he was smelling his taint or something and then passed out from it,
which I mean, we've all been there.
Play this one, Randy.
Yeah, I don't know that one.
The boys are having fun.
Man, what a day.
What a game.
By the way, the onside kick turns out was completely illegal.
Okay.
So that just hit a different group text of mine, the statement.
and everyone has had said the same thing.
They're like, oh, yeah, I knew it didn't look right,
but I wasn't really sure what was going on there.
I mean, I think Herb Street and Fowler didn't even make mention of it.
Obviously, the refs didn't know.
I didn't know the rule there.
I was like, okay, this is just a creative way of doing an on-site kick.
Turns out you have to be on the line.
Yeah.
I think you're allowed to drop it like that and kick it,
according to what they posted in the statement.
It's called a free kick.
You can free kick it.
But you have to be on the line in order to do that.
That would have been a pretty insane way to lose the game.
Oh, I thought that there's a good chance.
Texas was going to lose the game at that point.
Yeah.
Crazy game.
Texas looks great on defense.
Offense needs some work, a lot of it, actually.
Dude, he's...
Play, play this before.
Hey, what did I text the...
What did I text the lutes before the game?
Dave called it.
He said this is a breakout game for Simmons.
I said statement game, Colin Simmons.
Five sacks.
By the way, I think he had six and a half sacks.
He definitely should have gotten credit for half of a sack.
And then he had one where his teammate's face mask negated the play.
As fun as that Tennessee's future is and their quarterback, he's a kid.
He's 18, right?
Yeah.
I'm like, dude, this is a game where Texas defense feasts on this kid.
Yeah, yeah.
And Tennessee's defense is also really good.
Play Colin post game.
I also do want to say I apologize for the celebration.
I was definitely in that mode feeling myself
But you know it happens
Chargers to the game
If you say you can get on the sidelines after the penalty
Or what was this special?
Of course but next play mentality
We don't hard on that
Or do you stop it
Yeah that's enough
They need somebody needs to sell a charge
To the game like shirt
Like Texas
Texas fans should
I mean what was the only we used to do
Or we did
Let it fucking rip
Let it fucking rip
Yeah we did
Let's do it charge it to the game.
Dude, as somebody who's followed Colin Simmons since high school,
because he is a Dunkinville Panther legend,
he is prone to getting in that mode where he will get a little too into the game,
and he will rip off a fellow opponent's helmet in the state championship game.
He's a little hot-headed.
Run's hot.
I mean, dude, he's just, he's,
He's by all means like a great kid off the field.
He's a freak, man.
And he's so good, but like, oh, man, you got to chill.
Huge, huge weekend for the 2023 Panthers team with Colin Simmons, five sacks at least, plus the popping it out, Pee-P.
Yep.
Decorian Moore, go-ahead touchdown against USC.
Dog.
By the way, Dylan Rayola.
forgot about forgot he was over there at uh still not bad backing up just threw it threw it up there
just throw it up there and say go get it uh he did and then uh keel and russell albama dude
i don't i don't know albama they're not going to win the cc i don't think but like
keel russell looked great against south carolina but still you're just a second year guy he's got
against that you know he's down two and o against the cc i'm very happy for him will you play
the other video i have linked in there
LSU defense intercepting Marcel
Reed, who by the way, I feel bad for
Marcel Reed. I know I've been saying that a lot. He's really struggling.
And then they go celebrate
right in front of the Aggie Yell leaders
by mocking them, and it is a hilarious video.
Dave.
All right.
And right now looking for a return on investment
in this form as Reed from his own
end zone. That's not a good throw.
It's not intercepted. Wow. Coolly.
There are so many angles of this video
and they're all, like, each one's better than the one before.
It's so fucking funny.
You can't really tell from this,
but they're standing literally right in front of the Aggie yell leaders.
And they're just sitting there just watching it.
Nothing to do, nothing to say.
It's so funny.
28 on the right there is the big, the,
let's go, Aggies.
All right.
I got to ask who, okay.
So who's Texas?
Texas, are they going to beat A&M and OU?
Yes.
Like, it seems prime that they're going to lose to one of them.
Like, we're inexplicably.
I think it's more likely that that's OU.
We talked about the Texas offense struggling.
A&M and OU somehow have worse offenses.
It was crazy.
And they can't stop turning the ball over.
Marcel Reed seems to be regressing.
I think he's like he's in his head.
He just can't stop turning the ball over.
John Mateer, my God, he just, he's snake-bitten,
man, he just can't get out of his own way.
Both those teams have two losses,
and they've both fallen out of the top 25.
By the way, Texas is only a six-point favorite against OU.
That line's always a small one, though.
Yeah, Dave's been watching it.
I'm tracking.
It's interesting.
It's interesting.
We'll see what it does throughout the week.
I love my JFFB3 tomorrow.
You guys are going to love it.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten,
Dante Moore got his head taken clean off by a USC defender
who just mocked, seemed like,
mocked him after the fact that was a nasty dirty hit i don't know if you saw that one yeah i did i was
because i was when i got home from the game the end of the oregon the banana game or whatever
oregon was on and i was like i was watching i was like why is dillon riola throwing the football
right now iowa beats michigan on the last second play which is very exciting that was sick i sit
in an ill-timed text to the group chat and the other how awesome college football is meanwhile o'm
Yeah.
That defense is not looking great.
Florida looks fucking awesome, though.
They are now a top 10 team.
Also, the other best edge restaurant in the country are one of them.
Dylan Stewart's been suspended for punching a guy.
And John at his coaches, too.
It wasn't just a punch.
It's tall.
It's a lot of problem out there with the Cox.
Game Cox.
Right.
And that concludes the ball segment, folks.
they never talk about retcas
the guys never discuss my reticas
why not
why don't you give them a segment honey
talk a little reticas
can you do it for me one time sweet
you don't want to talk Purdue putting up a good showing
against number three
her name I tuned in
when we were triving up to banana ball
and it was 35 to zero at half and I was like yeah that sounds about right
how about Wake Forest
like force taking down Louisville
that Louisville was primed for
JFF B3
primed
what are you going to do
I mean they can still make it
just because you lose doesn't mean you're not fun
you can lose and be fun
the interesting one for the JFF
the Just for Fun Big 3 for tomorrow
what we're really looking at behind the scenes
what do you do with Texas
Texas is not
their offense is not fun to watch at all
but they do have a guy
they have a fun defense on the defense
I'm more excited when the defense is on the field at this point.
They've got a guy on the other side of the ball that will pull out his fake peepee.
By the way, SEC defensive player of the week is Colin Simmons.
Chris Cole of Georgia.
I think Simmons pulling his ding-dong out cost him the honor there.
You got to clean that up.
You got to keep it in your pants, pal.
It's a friend of the show, future friend of the show, Colin Simmons.
You didn't ring the bell when I brought up Duncanville earlier
Yeah, you were bringing up a lot
I didn't want to keep on but that's for you
Do you do your freaking job, bring the bell
Put the fries in the bag
Should I cut my fucking mic?
Cut your fucking mic dude
You're fired
Oh shit
Just thinking that
We'll probably have a guest
Go for it
We'll probably have a guest on here soon enough
Go for it
On this podcast
Oh man
I don't know what we're going to do with the ball
we're just going to continue to give you good content.
We'll keep it tight.
We're not going to spend 45 minutes talking football on Monday or Thursday.
We're going to talk it, but we're going to keep it tight.
I didn't make you guys make you guys indulge my Cowboys lamenting.
You guys should be applauded.
That's one fan-friendly point for Dave.
Ryan in the chat did point out during that discussion.
And I think I've noticed this too.
I know you guys love college football, but it does seem like if you're talking football,
you guys spend 95% of time college football and then 5% NFL.
So like talking more NFL might be enjoyable too.
Not for me.
Okay, I hear you, but also feel like our listenership is mostly tuned into college football, mostly.
Dude, it can't get here soon enough.
It's more fun.
Hey, listen, it's more fun.
Spooky season fans, email spooky at washmedia.com.

All right.
See you then.
Bye.

Bye.
Bye.
My reg league goalie says he plays for the love of the game.
You gave up six goals last week, Steve.
Maybe play to win, huh?
Like with Bet365, I get paid the second my team goes up big with early payout
and can cash out at any time before the game ends.
Come on, Steve.
Bet 365, the home of winning early.
