Starting point is 00:00:00 It's Coffee Friday. We're back. Circling Back Podcast. It is Friday morning. Buongiorno to some, top of the morning to others. I'm Dave. I'm going to host. Randy Trumbacki is here producing. Hey, Randy.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Hey, Dave. How are you doing today? Okay. That'll be enough of that. Yeah. Let's shut that mic off. Dylan Chivary. I'm actually really surprised Randy is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning since hangovers typically take him out for two weeks at a time. Tomorrow's going to be the real test. I'm not really hungover. It's just- Is it delayed onset, your hangovers? he's got doms doze doze you get those bro
Starting point is 00:00:52 no you didn't you didn't get drunk last you got j-boned last night like you went to a strip club until like 5 a.m it's more that i'm still getting over that head cold on tuesday and then just been terrible sleep the past two nights well the best thing to do when'm still getting over that head cold on Tuesday and then just been terrible sleep the past two nights. Well, the best thing to do when you're getting over an illness is to not sleep and then to go out drinking. Yeah. J-Bone. I think doctors recommend that, actually, yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yeah, four out of five doctors do recommend. We're not doctors. Yeah, go out and get twisted tonight. You'll feel so much better. Yeah, surprisingly. I went to get my physical Thursday, and the doctor said, if you're going to drink, limit it to like two two drinks per day and immediately that night just did not uh what yeah i'm like come on doc wow you're crazy man you're wacky two drinks per day what if i just
Starting point is 00:01:37 have one day where i do 14 drinks no he said if you're gonna drink only two per day i said doc that ain't happening i'm too frat for that yeah does he not know that you're going to drink, only two per day. I said, doc, that ain't happening. I'm too frat for that. Yeah, does he not know that you're in a frat? Motherfucking frat star, huh? I guess he didn't know. He didn't ask me on my history. Yeah, what about now that you know I was in a frat, like what do you suggest now?
Starting point is 00:01:56 Does that change anything? Oh, man. Coffee Friday. Happy to be here, Dave. Boys are sitting here drinking coffee and or water i did a pre uh 10 30 a.m lucy oh okay so you know you know i'm doing all right feeling goosey feeling goosey on my lucy damn just wanted to bring my how's that bo to bring my best effort. Gary Busey. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I haven't checked on him in a while. Me neither. Hey, I've got some breaking news. In addition to our newsletter being available for consumption, you can go to wash.substack.com for Washed Weekly. Randy blogged this week, so shout out to Randy, as did Will, Dylan, and myself. But that's not the breaking news. Randy blogged this week, so shout out to Randy, as did Will, Dylan, and myself.
Starting point is 00:02:46 But that's not the breaking news. The breaking news is I left the live stream last night with our great friend, noted MLB All-Star and Oakland Athletic Brent Rooker. That's our guy. I left here, and I went to Chick-fil-A. This is not an ad read. This is not even sponsored. They don't sponsor us. They should. I had the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich for the first time last night. I'm sorry, the what? The honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich. And it is fucking good.
Starting point is 00:03:19 From Chick-fil-A? Oh, yeah. Why have I never heard of this? Are they not marketing it? I've seen a couple commercials, but it's not – I honestly didn't know about it until a week ago. A week ago. It's a twist on the original Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. It features an original Chick-fil-A filet drizzled with honey topped with pimento cheese and served on a warm toasted bun with mild pickled jalapenos. That sounds incredible. I will be getting one this weekend. I not kidding dude holy shit i might go today well alissa went when i was out of town
Starting point is 00:03:52 and she's like hey i don't know why i got this but i got it and it was great so i had it last night and it was delightful so shout out to them i'm i'm all over that yeah i like it when uh chicken places mix it up a little bit especially chick-fil-a they're very much by the book they don't even offer spicy nugs yeah why not they should one day do that one day you can get spicy um strips right can you but not nugs i don't know i don't know if you can even get spicy strips imagining that i think so they have the ability to just to add spice to the batter why don't just offer it for the nugs i don't know anyway yeah i'm all over that shit it was delightful use promo code i'm kidding it would be dope if we had a chick-fil-a bag
Starting point is 00:04:42 i just don't think they need any help with endorsements. Given that I pulled through there at about 7.15 last night and it was nearly on the service road of Ben White, then yeah, they don't really need our help. But one day, you never know. Hey, you might have noticed I didn't play the official Coffee Friday music, intro music. There's no reason for that.
Starting point is 00:05:07 That's just a user error, and I apologize. That's okay. I completely forgot about it. No, we don't expect you to be perfect all the time. We just expect your best effort. That's all. That's all we can ask for here, David. If you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Same with Randy. If you can't handle Dave at his using using the wrong intro music you don't deserve him at a spooky uh season it's a good spooky season thus far we got two left it's incredible so if you're on the fence if you're like if you're missing out i just feel bad for you son you got 99 spooky seasons they're only five but they're really good thank you what's been your favorite so far randy keep it brief joke is your voice my voice is spooky i think last last week's had the most spooky stories oh yeah but i would say the week before that had the most scary stories well the one from this week featured a guy driving a van with no eyes, which is reckless and spooky at the same time.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Like, how did you get a license? Right? Well, the spooky part about that is they checked the surveillance footage, the CCTV on it, because this van was chasing somebody. So they pulled the tape. Pulled the tape. And guess what? It showed the vehicle driving away with nothing behind it weird so a ghost fan that's some uh some scooby-doo yeah scooby-doo it's giving scooby it is giving scooby
Starting point is 00:06:37 man but this is real check it out you can try you can try our patreon for seven days free yeah a trial if you will go do it that gives you access to i mean if you want to try to consume every piece of patreon content we've done in the last four years you can try i don't know if the numbers add up you better set aside a lot of get it you got to clear out your schedule clear it don't sleep and also listen to it on like 5x speed you could do it and you might be able to get through it but holidays are coming up this is a good sell job right here watch this holidays are coming up you're probably gonna you know drive back to grandma and grandpa's mom and dad's you know in-laws place you're gonna need some pods to kill time you like this this pod. Starting point is 00:07:27 I'll pull back the curtain a little bit, if that's okay. Please. We've added like 270 subscribers in the past, since October started because of spooky season. What are those people? What have they figured out that you haven't yet? Yeah. What's it going to take to earn your business?
Starting point is 00:07:42 Think about it. I'll do literally anything. Think about it, man. Within it. I'll do literally anything. Think about it, man. Within reason. Dave will do literally anything. I'll go hang out with Randy and Jared Borislow on a random weekend. Oh, my God. And then I'll come in and do a podcast.
Starting point is 00:07:55 And I'll sound like I've been chewing rock. Yeah, it's bad. To those new 200 people. Okay. Just stop. Just stop. Just stop. What were you going to say? Why don't you just slack it to me and I'll relay the message to the people.
Starting point is 00:08:11 I'll slack it to you. Okay. Very cool. Oh, fellas, fellas. Life doesn't happen biweekly, so why should payday? Starting point is 00:09:28 See earning.com slash tos for details earnin is a financial technology company not a bank bank products are issued by evolved bank and trust member fdic earnin back to what randy was trying to say which was unable to because of his voice he would like to encourage the 200 plus new patrons to go check out Touching Based. Exactly five minutes. And do you know it? Those are other Patreon episodes that we do that are also gas. I added that last part. He didn't say gas.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Thank you, Randy. Hey, how now that we're completely done with the read, how bad during that read do you want to say burn in and rhyme it with burn in or concern in? Be honest. It's tough. You know me very well. It's tough. But yeah, I want to just get through it and give the earning people what they ask for.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And it's not me chiming in with some dumbassery. No, they specifically say no darn dumbassery on this one, please, guys. Hey, I want to talk about a king. I want to talk about a king. I want to talk about a Spanish king. I want to talk about actually a Lithuanian king who is in Spain. So I don't know if he's actually Spanish, but a 50 year old man from Lithuania was recently arrested in Spain after allegedly faking heart attacks at several restaurants in order to avoid paying the bill. This has been getting play on the TL. I've seen this dude.
Starting point is 00:10:47 The man who is identified only as Adas J, but has become known locally as the Gastrojeta, has tried to scam at least 20 times over the past year at different restaurants near Alicante, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, in Spain's EFE news agency. Not important. What's the charge here? Well, he's trying to leave without paying.
Starting point is 00:11:11 So he's basically, he ordered a seafood, he most recently ordered a seafood paella and two whiskeys at the El Buen Comer restaurant Taparia in late September and had a bill of $34.85, about $36 USD, the newspaper reported. And he's just faking heart attacks to get out of it. Because you're certainly going to hear this from a backer. I'm just going to correct. It's paella. Oh, is that paella? Very popular Spanish dish.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I've had paella. I've never actually seen it written. Yeah. The double L in Spanish. What did I say? Paella? Yeah. But that's okay. I only speak like Mexican Spanish, not Spanish Spanish.
Starting point is 00:11:51 There's a difference. Yeah. Okay. You got a problem with that, Randy? I wonder how Micah would pronounce it if he were here. I don't know. That might be my Micah voila moment.
Starting point is 00:12:03 He'd put some flavor on it. Oh, yeah. Voila? Vo yeah. Voila? Voila. Oh, man, that's good. Dude, when you see a word that you know, but you've never seen it written out, that was a funny moment.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I wish somebody could access that. I wonder how many times this dude got away with it. I think over 20 times. They called the police instead of the ambulance and the man was recognized by local authorities uh the restaurateur said the man doesn't speak spanish well although he does seem to understand it uh yeah so he's got like his face like a picture printed out and it's like up in all the restaurants like don't serve this guy this guy and by the way if this guy just drops down and like says he's dying he's not dying yeah i think i think the uh it it's up that what is it
Starting point is 00:12:51 that the gig is up sure yeah yeah there's another word there in this phrase it's a the jig the jig is up thank you why did i how can i come up with that i don't i wasn't completely sure i was gonna go with whatever you said the hell up with that i don't i wasn't completely sure i was gonna go with whatever you said how's the jig i don't know the fuck's a jig well whatever it is it's up it's fucking up i know that um the jig a lively dance that's not it a device that holds a piece of work that's not it um yeah i don't know it's it's just slang i guess whatever anyway it's up it's fucking up he's a repeat offender sounds like he's a habitual line crosser yeah this is uh and he's not according to this he's not going like he's not going all out on these meals that's
Starting point is 00:13:39 the thing it's like he's nickeling and diming his way through reasonable meals yeah it's like he's nickeling and diming his way through. Reasonable meals. Yeah. It's like, pay the $36 and be on your way. It's not worth this. It's really not. It's not like you're taking the whole squad to Bob's Steak and Chop House and getting fillets and expensive bottles of wine. Tuna towers. Yeah. And then like.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Blooming onions. Yeah. And then like three people get sick because they ate the carrot that was wrongly cooked. I hate when say hey we're all sick here can we just walk out and we'll call it a day we'll walk this 1200 bill yeah um i i really like the idea of just getting like a reasonably priced meal and then just like rolling over do you remember the old life alert commercials remember Remember like the heart attack monitor? Or basically the monitor you wear on your neck
Starting point is 00:14:27 and you press it and it calls 911? Like the old like commercials where like it would just be like an old person and they would just fall down and just be like, I'm having a heart attack. I'm picturing him do that, but in like really broken Spanish. And they're like-
Starting point is 00:14:42 Gastroheta. If he were to do, he couldn't do this in the u.s because you call an ambulance in uh u.s it's like what how much is it like a five thousand dollars like right off the bat oh i think it's one it's like one it's still two between one and two still too much by the way that's bullshit that like discourages me from wanting to you know call 9-1-1 an emergency it's like oh my leg snapped in four different places like do i should i pay an extra thousand dollars to go to the hospital what do we do when you broke your leg should i have dave drive me we didn't we just put you in the back of a dance truck you know what i mean yeah i rode i rode back in the in the bed a dance truck with a broken leg we didn't know really the severity of it.
Starting point is 00:15:25 We knew there wasn't visible bone. Right. I didn't know it was broken. I don't get enough credit for being the one to touch your leg. I could have touched bone there. I was really scared what you were going to find. That's how painful it was. Did it hurt when I touched your leg?
Starting point is 00:15:41 I don't think so. I mean, you were gentle. It's not like you were shaking it or anything. No. Which would have been bad news. I certainly didn't do that. Yeah, this guy, I respect the hustle in a way because he's so committed to it. He just goes and eats these places by himself.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Yeah. It's like, all right, another free meal. Here it goes. Another heart attack on deck. He's learning the hard way that there's no such thing as a free lunch. Tin stuffle. Heart attack on deck. He's learning the hard way that there's no such thing as a free lunch.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Tin Stoffel. I got to say, two whiskeys and some paella. Is that how you say it? Paella. Paella. That seems like a really good deal for $35. Yeah. There's no place in Austin that you could get what I just said for under $75.
Starting point is 00:16:24 No. The whiskey drinks themselves would total $36. Yeah. Really expensive. In Austin, anyway, for sure. Yeah. Cocktails in this town are ridiculous. This town has a cocktail problem. You take a little baddie out for a date, get a couple drinks, you're in for a ride.
Starting point is 00:16:41 You're in for a ride, hopefully. Well, I mean, financially speaking mean financially speaking come on we're having fun randy and and if you play your cards right maybe the other kind of ride i don't know that's not i don't do that kind of stuff some people are into that some people are hey randy you went to uh cockfights last night any ghost sightings no how about you clear your throat and then we'll try that again? No. But I did show Jared the bricks on the wall. Did you show him the ghost tour video?
Starting point is 00:17:12 Was he spooked? Yeah, he did. Did he like it? He was spooked. He was? Yeah. He enjoyed the video. Did you have to hold him or anything?
Starting point is 00:17:18 Yeah. He actually started crying. Aw. I would be the person to ask the bartenders if they'd ever had any experiences there like but i would do it in a really inopportune time when it's very crowded i'm like hey and they come over and they're like i hey man you ever like have any experiences here like supernaturally speaking to any of these fuckers any of these fuckers uh no i really would like to talk to some if you want to see what we're referencing go to our you go to circling back youtube youtube.circlingback probably something
Starting point is 00:17:51 like that right uh youtube.com circling back i crushed the url um yeah no that that guy's a king i mean you got to try it yeah i like i said i just kind of respect it i guess but i don't at the same time like he's you know he's really putting an effort he's put himself No, that guy's a king. I mean, you got to try it. Yeah. Like I said, I just kind of respect it, I guess. But I don't at the same time. Like he's, you know, he's really putting an effort. He's put himself out there. And he's got, he even earned himself a nickname, which is cool. What's the nickname?
Starting point is 00:18:14 Gastro Heta. What does that mean? Gastro is. Tum Tum? Food? Yeah. Heta, I looked up in Spanish and it said, it means mug. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:27 It's probably, it's loosely translated. It probably means something super dope over there we don't know about what does it mean i know what kind of food you get at a gastropub in the states but what is the i don't really understand like the why it's called gastropub yeah i've never really picked up on because the kind of food gives you tum-tum issues is that why it seems to be very much like tum-tum issue food oh well okay a pub that specializes in serving high quality food but i feel like everything you get at a gastro pub is gonna make me like it's gonna ruin the rest of my day but in a good way isn't jay bones dad a gastro doctor i make that up he is yeah he does he does with like the stomach and all that stuff okay baker street pub down the way where we went uh considered a gastro considered a gastro pub it doesn't seem right english
Starting point is 00:19:12 an english pub i thought it was a place that just had dope chicken strips like that like on a bed of fries like not just that but like well they have fish and chips okay fish and chips which are which are not bad there i found like a gastro pub it's like i've i'm feeling like randy i woke up feeling like randy i just want to just devolve even further yikes i want to go just eat like a big old hamburger some bacon on it go to the gastropub let's double down on this day that sounds awesome doesn't it sound good hey can we can we go get Guinness somewhere soon? Did you have one last night? I did.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I drank someone's Peacemaker. It was in the fridge. If it's in that fridge, it's no one's. It's everyone's. You know what I mean? I figured it was Randy's buds
Starting point is 00:19:59 when Randy has one of his cool parties over here that no one goes to. The Guinness that I consumed last night on the Too Much Dip livestream, I got it from this fridge. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Full disclosure. Was it you, Omar, and Gordo, Java Rager up here and didn't invite us again? Yep. No, they don't leave stuff behind. They just take the stuff. You guys are just taking roadies, just road dogs from our fridge? Just clear down all of our busy one day. That's such a high school move to go somewhere just to get a couple beers and leave oh man i had this
Starting point is 00:20:28 buddy he was known for um he would show up to like a house party and he would have just a grab bag of leftover drinks that he can he just collected it'd be like he'd have like a little uh like cardboard like six-pack carrying case you know like a growler like situation no no he had like a you know like you get six pack of bottles okay a little cardboard like with oh yeah yeah yeah and he would have like each each slot would be filled with a different kind of beer it's like dude where did you get these these this weird collection of beers from he's like oh i just people have been leaving around i pick them up like okay who just go buy a six-pack is this the shirt guy no but you've met this guy he may or may not have the same first name as you that's all i'm gonna say
Starting point is 00:21:11 okay so he may be named david maybe but he he might not be named david at the same time so i don't understand that and to be fair this is a long time ago he was probably balling on a budget back this high school high school and into college even he would do it. I don't think I ever rolled up to a party in high school without like – Even a little bit after college he would do it. We were a 30-rack crew. Duncanville High School was 30 racks, Keystone Lights. In high school, I drank nothing but Keystone Light.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And looking back, I just didn't know any better is the excuse i'm giving myself but it's the worst it's the worst unless they want to drop the bag in which case it's i don't know man you might drop the line no i think we could find a better bag we will we will lose some credibility if we started pushing keystone light i think weren't they doing a keith stone bit smooth like keith stone it's it's just real bad like like natty eclipsed them like as far as like because it was natty or keystone people like no one's gonna confuse natty with being like a really good beer but it's much better than their marketing their marketing exploded yeah in high school we were keystone light and then college our fraternity it was
Starting point is 00:22:21 nothing but natty light that's all we drank But that might have been just so people could call them fratty lights. I have to be completely honest. It is clearly more fratty than a Keystone. It's a play on frat. Yeah, natty. Plus, it's just fun saying natty. Yeah. I'm going to do a Keystone.
Starting point is 00:22:42 I'm going to start asking for Keystone. You can't even get that at a bar, right? You can't. I don't know. Probably not. Did you ever do PBRs? No, I never got in the PBR phase at all. PBR and like a hand-rolled cigarette was like the coolest thing you could do in Oklahoma City.
Starting point is 00:22:58 I mean, that sounds dope. It was super, super hipster. People hand-rolled cigarettes? No, I mean, people who like really want to be the guy who hand rolls cigarettes do. It's kind of a try hard move, right? I mean, no filter on the cigarette, right? I don't think so. You can't put your own filter, can you?
Starting point is 00:23:18 I don't think so. It just looks like a joint. Yeah. They roll them all wrong up there. That's true. Yeah yeah i don't know the filter i feel like it serves a a purpose i feel like does will smoke hand rolled or has will smoked a hand rolled cigarette he has yeah i have two for that i haven't i would love to please someone present me with a hand rolled cigarette but don't lace it with anything and i will smoke it would you be mad if i gave you pcp yes why um you don't like to get wet because i feel like once i figured out what was going on i would absolutely panic then the next
Starting point is 00:23:58 day i would call you up like hey man we got to talk about what you did last night it's going to affect our friendship you gave me drugs drugs. I didn't want drugs. We'll talk it out, man-to-man, face-to-face. I don't think I have any friends who have ever done PCP. PCP is what? Pretty cool pimping. What is PCP? See, we learn stuff on this podcast. Is it not pretty cool pimping, Randy?
Starting point is 00:24:26 Angel dust supergrass rocket fuel is one of many illegal substances called hallucinogens. PCP is often sold as a white powder. The term is fensylcladine. I don't know how to say it. I knew it. I don't know how to say that word. I knew it. I don't know how to say that word. I knew it. It is a disassociative anesthetic mainly used recreationally for its significant mind-altering effects.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Hey, have you seen, I don't know how much rice football you watched last night. Distorted perception of sounds and violent behavior. Yeah, I'm out on that. Violent behavior? Yeah. Yeah, I'm out on that. Violent behavior? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Did you see the gummy worm guy on the sidelines of Rice's football team last night? You know Rice beat the shit out of Tulsa last night. Of all the sporting events that were on last night, I don't know why I would watch, no offense to Rice, a Rice football game. Okay, I'm going to send this to Randy. Randy, I'm sending this. There's a video or a still. I just kind of want to look at this guy. This guy, I can't stop watching it.
Starting point is 00:25:31 They've got a gummy worm guy. Check it out. Oh, this is from our good friends at Barstool Sports. Barstool Sports, it says. Gummy bear guy. Is he gummy bears? That's what it says in the headline. Yeah, Randy. You scrolled too far, buddy.
Starting point is 00:25:45 You scrolled too far, my guy. This is Tommy boy. What's going on? I don't know. There we go. There he is. It took a while to populate. There we go.
Starting point is 00:25:54 No, this dude just hands him out. I guess to get the little sugar bump, because you're going to burn that off. You can do sugar on the sideline if you're playing football. He's just rocking aviators. What the hell? With just a sick mullet. We got to ask Klein about this. Just eating candy on the sideline?
Starting point is 00:26:13 I feel like that's not good for longevity. You're going to burn that off. Have you ever heard of a sugar crash before, Dave? That's what I'm saying. No, you're fine. You peak and then you fall off a cliff. Floyd Mayweather would drink like a full Coca-Cola, original Coke, right after training.
Starting point is 00:26:29 He's the GOAT. What's his face? Marshawn Lynch, big Skittles guy. A lot of Skittles. He would just fistfuls of Skittles before games. One of the best. And Hennessy. Wait, he was doing Hennessy before games?
Starting point is 00:26:42 He took a shot of Hennessy before every game. See, that seems like a... I'm pretty sure he said that. Maybe. Yeah. I don't really want to do anything like that impaired. I know that's not enough to impair, especially him. He's probably 225 when he was playing.
Starting point is 00:26:56 For me, before a game where there's rigorous activity, I usually do water, Gatorade, stuff like that. Liquid IV. Or liquid IV. Yeah, a number of things. Yeah. Got to introduce a new sponsor, Schedule 35. Not all drugs are created equal.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Psilocybin, for example, when taken thoughtfully at sub hallucinogenic levels can sharpen your focus, hone your mental clarity, unleash your creativity, expand your mind, open your heart, and ease your anxiety. While you shouldn't experiment with these shrooms you got from your brother's sketchy friends, Schedule 35 takes a science-backed approach to microdosing shrooms. We precisely measure out every dose. They verify the age of every one of their customers. They ship discreetly, and better yet, they give you a microdosing regimen that allows you to enjoy the benefits of psilocybin without any of the hallucinogenic effects.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Schedule 35 operates from a decriminalized zone and still advises that all sales are up to the customer discretion and advises customers to be aware of their municipal, state, and laws. Get 15% off with code STEAM at schedule35.co. That's schedule35.co. That's 15% off at schedule35.co and use code STEAM. Well, we've discussed a king today. I feel like we would be remiss. Not to promote a queen. Not to promote a queen.
Starting point is 00:28:24 And I'm unfamiliar with this story so i'm ready for you to fill me in uh this is a a tiktok queen who who did something i don't do a lot of tiktok and but this this came across the tl someone tagged me in this for obvious reasons um her bit what's her at randy ugh underscore. Oh, that's extremely. It's good. Yeah. I'm not going to lie. That's a good handle.
Starting point is 00:28:49 What's the teenage generation called? Are they Gen Z? Gen Z. That's very Gen Z. Very cool. Ugh. Her bid is to go into all-you-can-eat buffets and see how long she can stay. Okay. Before she's asked to leave.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I don't know if she's the originator of this. I feel like there's a big market for this. But she went to CeCe's, CeCe's Pizza. That's your favorite place. It was my – would skateboard and ride bikes and even rollerblade up there to the Duncanville CeCe's. Back in my day, you could get at CeCe's Buffet for $1.99, then $2.50, then it was like $ like 299 by the time we stopped going but uh it's now like
Starting point is 00:29:29 850 all you can eat pizza and apparently they have wings now too and um she did eight hours before she was asked to leave okay that's uh so she stays until she's asked to leave she never leaves on her own accord right okay uh too much yeah well this one they they eventually come up there and they're like hey we've got a new rule and it's that you can only be here for two hours and you've been here for eight hey we know what you're doing and i gotta say she's taking full advantage. If you watch the TikTok, we'll post this on the Circling Back story, Instagram story. But, I mean, she's playing games. She's playing Mortal Kombat.
Starting point is 00:30:13 She's doing skee-ball, all the stuff that you have to do to have a full CeCe's experience. Excuse me. How many plates? How many slices? Actually, let's start here. She's not sniffing Marcus Lopez numbers, if that's what you're going to ask. Marcus Lopez did like 39.
Starting point is 00:30:30 All right, let's say you show up at noon. Okay. You have lunch there. You have a great time. You stay there. Suddenly it's 7 o'clock and it's dinner time. You have dinner there too, but you haven't left yet. One transaction.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Zocard. Is this within play? Are you breaking any rules? What does the text say, David? Here's the gray area. And this is where you can get in trouble. If she were to go back and pay a second time, if they were like,
Starting point is 00:31:02 hey, you're going to have to pay again if you want to stay for dinner. That's a second time, if they were like, hey, you're going to have to pay again if you want to stay for dinner, that's a separate transaction, which seems obvious, but some people don't understand that. Now, if she goes at noon, swipes, swipes, and eats, and they don't talk to her again, and she eats till eight, and she has her dinner there or whatever or she has a second lunch a lunch um that's the same transaction dylan so she's not breaking she's she's not breaking any rules here no the only that's one punch of the za card in her video in her tiktok as the kids are calling it the only separate transaction she did was for a coca-cola she didn't want to fill up her water cup which shout out to her oh she's doing it she's doing it the right way she could have easily done it the scumbag way
Starting point is 00:31:48 could have yeah but she didn't she didn't all right it's a good bit what other places has she gone to besides cc's i need to watch the newest one it's a hibachi i don't really know if it's like i didn't know there was an all you can eat hibachi or like up. Cause I, that's the one that's going to get me in trouble. There's a golden corral one. Speaking of golden corral,
Starting point is 00:32:11 have you seen, we've talked about this a minute ago before we started recording the guy who did the review of the Indian food that he tried for the first time. I did. So he's been reviewing foods for a while. It's not the first one he's done. He usually goes after like cheaper foods. Yeah. He did a golden corral and not the first one he's done. He usually goes after cheaper foods. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:27 He did a Golden Corral. So he talks about them. He gives them a little rating. Golden Corral did not receive high marks. Well, it's probably because it's not good. He gave a lot of the stuff like sub three out of ten scores. He got some chicken.
Starting point is 00:32:42 He tried the desserts there. Okay. Macaroni and cheese there he is that's our guy yeah what's his name what's yeah okay luke foods luke foods he's a he's a buttoned up fella yeah he's he's wearing uh he looks like he works at a car dealership biz cash but he has a tie on and he just goes and tries cheap food and talks about him that's terrible looking fried chicken straight up the pizza he gave it like a one out of ten so what did golden corral respond i don't know but he's he's getting a lot of play on the tl these days yeah i saw him eat
Starting point is 00:33:18 eat trying indian food for the first time i'm worried about his diet because he just goes through the like... If you hit Golden Corral for lunch on a weekday, which is all you can eat, I think you're just begging to have your week just absolutely wrecked. You can have healthy food at Golden Corral, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Is that the place that does the chocolate fountain thing for desserts? Seems like a Randy question. I feel like it does. I think they do. I think they have like the chocolate fountain you can take fruits over there and desserts and and just dip them in the
Starting point is 00:33:50 chocolate fountain i'm more of a chocolate rain guy remember chocolate rain vaguely what is it tazande it's just like a a youtube video from 20 years ago that no one listening remembers at all. Do you remember when Pizza Hut – I assume there's still Pizza Huts that you can go in and they have a buffet. They had the nice stained glass windows. I don't know if those still exist. They did in 2016. They did? There was something about that.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Even though the pizza – like if you took that pizza outside of pizza hut you'd be like this isn't that good this is just average pizza something about being in there and maybe it's just kind of the the holiness of it with the stained glass and being in the hut you can't out pizza hut let's let's get one thing straight here before i move forward you can't out pizza i grew up on gaddy's buffet dude that is your okay it was good it was good i will i will hear i will hear nothing other than it was good because it was mr gaddy's mr gaddy's they had a they had a good playground the one i went to didn't have a playground they had a shitty little salad bar and and pizza buffet and they had the the apple pizza
Starting point is 00:35:08 remember that one the dessert pizza i was never a dessert pizza guy it was i like to i like to keep the dessert off my pizza you finish off with one of those after you go to town on like italian sausage and pepperoni did you ever have the cc's alfredo pizza that sounds gross to me when they put the alfredo pizza out it was like like and it was fresh and you were you were there to see him put it down and you got it first it was like you just won the lottery you know there's something i tried in chicago i think for the first time ever and i don't even know if there's a place in austin that does this but breakfast pizza is there a breakfast pizza place here what's on a breakfast pizza. Is there a breakfast pizza place here? What's on a breakfast pizza? Egg?
Starting point is 00:35:46 Yeah. Bacon? Egg? Cheese, maybe? I don't know. But it was good. It's not the kind of thing I would want to eat a bunch of, but it sure tastes good.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Parlor, that's where we had it, at that Chicago place. You had a breakfast pizza there? Yeah. Absolutely. The same place where Micah got uh bloody mary bar and just it made the most ridiculous bloody mary i've ever seen in my life okay have you ever had breakfast pizza no unless that's a florentine pizza but that just looks like a pizza with an egg on it i know you can get a pizza with egg on it in italy those little you walk up and they've got the little glass
Starting point is 00:36:22 cases and there's the slices there a lot of times you can get it with egg Yeah Okay It was tasty Oh this one looks dope You gotta try that Freaking Chick-fil-A sandwich
Starting point is 00:36:34 I'm actually really excited to try it Thank you for bringing it to my attention This is the episode where we just like Make everybody really hungry Yeah People are like Oh my god What am I gonna do for? Do what I did for lunch yesterday. That's what our listeners sound like. Go, uh, go way out of your way to eat a Philly cheesesteak at a place that definitely doesn't want your business because their online ordering's broke. You have to call
Starting point is 00:36:57 in. It's just a total beating, but I still go. I wrote about this place in the newsletter. Today? No. A few weeks ago. Ah, yes, that same place. I've got to say, good cheesesteak. I'm not a cheesesteak guy. I don't do Cheez Whiz. I feel like I don't need the drizzle of Cheez Whiz. I know that's like very, a staple of the Philly cheesesteak, but just give me regular cheese. I'm fine with that.
Starting point is 00:37:21 I don't need it out of a can. Okay. Yeah. All right. Well, that's all I got today. Anybody else got anything? No, man. We got a big weekend ahead of us.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Shout out to Lindsay T, listener Lindsay T, who sent us the most thorough breakdown of our F1 weekend, including the Alfa Romeo drivers, some notes about them, their personal lives, things you might want to ask them. The famous people that they're married to. Yeah, their coffee companies. She taught us that Travis Kelsey and Patrick Mahomes, they bought into the Alpine team,
Starting point is 00:37:58 so they might make an appearance this weekend, which would be sick. Do they have a bye week? I don't know. Okay. That would be cool. Yeah they have a bye week? I don't know. Okay. That would be cool. Yeah, I guess they're busy. Does that mean –
Starting point is 00:38:11 They could show up to the qualifier. Do you think Traylor will be there? Probably not. Travis Kelsey, Taylor Swift. Right. I don't – So people are calling. Probably not.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Okay. Really excited. Really excited for it. The Chiefs bye week is week 10. So no bye week. That's okay. Maybe they'll be there tomorrow. Maybe we'll see them in the paddock.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Paddock boys. Yeah. What if not? What if it's just Jackson? Is he too hot to – like you can't get in a TikTok. I'll do a TikTok with Jackson. I feel like you just – you probably want to steer clear i don't know man might do numbers i mean it would but you'd have you'd have some questions to answer after like why are you hanging out with jackson
