Starting point is 00:00:04 All right, we're back. It's a circling bag podcast. It's Tuesday morning. My name is David. Hello. Hope you're having a great day. Great morning even. Randall Trebaki's going to produce.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Hi, Dave. Man, that's a very Ole Miss rowback you got going from here. This is actually the Chicago one, the original Chicago one. Okay. The Chicago flag and Ole Miss, same colors. Well, just the color scheme. Looks great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:44 just the Chicago flag which you can see right here on the back I should have worn that to Wrigley man anyways yeah but then you would have you know yeah got mustard on it yeah yeah yeah maybe not though butterfly effects you understand what that means yeah if you'd warn that maybe you would have not ordered the hot dog all right hear me out do you ever think about butterfly effect when you're at a sporting event or you choose or choose not to go to a live sporting event in it determining the outcome of a game no Dude, sometimes I have to thought. Like, if you, like, I could say I've been to, I've been to two,
Starting point is 00:01:22 went to a game two of the World Series and when they lost, okay. Ended up winning the World Series famously, Texas Rangers. But I was like, what if we hadn't gone? What if, like, my, you know what I mean? Because you can, you can create a small trigger that sets off a sequence of events. Yeah. that may, like, distract an outfielder or sightline. Yeah, sightline or something, like, just something that, look, I know it's a stretch.
Starting point is 00:01:54 I'm not saying, like, it happens, but, like, you know, it could. Like, imagine, like, an outfielder just like, he's, like, looking out on the stands and goes, like, oh, my God, look at that mustard stain on that guy. And then he can't think, stop thinking about the whole rest of the game. And he's up, he's up, he's a bad, like, I wonder if that's going to stain, like, permanently. and he's all strike you all strike you all game's over you know look that's how you react this is how my brain works sometimes yeah imagine if like you threw like a tortilla out on the field and then they didn't pick it up and then like that little bit of like you know elevation that was still in the field like call someone again a cell tear i actually don't think about these things because they're not quantifiable
Starting point is 00:02:29 i think about them so i therefore why would i waste my brain matter on them well i'll tell him because i'm a dumb dumb i'll give you something quantifiable to think about have do you think with all the clothes in closet, all the different combinations that you could wear a different outfit and like go through every single combination. Every day the rest of your life. Every day of your life. You got to finish the most important part of it. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I easily could. Well, the reason it's an impossible exercise is because you don't know how long you're going to live. No, I might not about exercise. Yeah. Well, exercise will help you live long. You're wearing. All right. competing.
Starting point is 00:03:07 I don't know who to give. What am I doing? Like, I've never worn this exact combination of clothes before. I never have. with the socks and the undies in the hat. I mean, really? You sure? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Are then? I'm sure, dog. Okay. I mean, I've worn the jeans in the shirt before. Maybe even with the hat. Are you really clocking which undies you're wearing with which fit? I just know statistically speaking, it's almost a certainty. Why is that?
Starting point is 00:03:36 Because I have, like, the socks that I wear with jeans, the numbers in, like, the teens. I have probably 15 pairs of undies as well. That's a lot of sets of socks to wear just with jeans. Or to wear with jeans. I mean, I'm saying like when you're wearing pants, like all socks are in play because the jeans cover up the sock. You know what I mean? Like when I have shorts on, it limits my sock availability. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You get it. You're smart. Sure, man. Again, I just, you know, I choose to think about bigger things like climate change. Yeah, not me. I think about butterfly effect at life sporting. events. Like somewhere along the way, someone being out of game has influenced said game.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Bartman. Look at Bartman. There you go. If he just stayed home and watched it on TV, a whole different situation. That's the most obvious example, right? Yeah. I mean, that one's like, I know, there is. Just direct, like, yeah, like, oh shit.
Starting point is 00:04:38 But even like setting off a sequence of events, you know. Dane. he blew up Gotham Stadium. Yeah, that's fictional. Oh, well. But I see, I see, I like where your heads, you're looking at things. If he just stayed home that day and watched the game from home. Exactly, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:53 It would have gone down way different. I should have gone to this game. No, I'm not good at it. That sounded like Elizabeth Holmes. See, what if Elizabeth Holmes was a big sporting, the big sports gal instead of a fraudster. I don't really enjoy American football. I should not have gone to the game.
Starting point is 00:05:10 I should have stayed home and I could have been on my computer. type. I shouldn't have started Therner News. They expect one of us at the game, brother. I shouldn't have started this TherNose company. That's pretty good. Bain is a fun one to do. You can intro him whenever you're ready. Hold on. Don't be selfish.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Let the man Cook over here. Yeah, I wasn't finished my intro. You guys hear about this Miles Garrett guy? Okay. You know Miles Garrett? Here you go. Have you heard about him? You know him?
Starting point is 00:05:39 What about him? Pretty, pretty stellar athlete, right? Rams now. Yeah, yeah. I found out recently he is an avid Dungeons and Dragons player. Yeah, I knew that he was into that nerd shit. I didn't know that about Miles Garrett. God, dude, I wish you would hear you say that.
Starting point is 00:05:53 I saw him at Zoker Park one day. There were like seven people in the park because it was really early. I was walking around and he was with a young lady. And I was like, why is Miles Garrett here? It was really weird. He's a very large man. That's a badass story. I lined up in a three-point stance.
Starting point is 00:06:14 And I fired off on him. And he just did one of those. That last part... You tried to Oklahoma drill? That last part of I made. He casted Mageehan? Has anybody Oklahoma drilled in Zoker Park? Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Someone has. For sure. Surely. Uh-huh. But he was there, and it was weird. Hey, what were you searching that led you down that road to find that information, Randall? I don't know. I think I just, it was like a post, you know, you're ever scroll.
Starting point is 00:06:40 He's an Arlington guy. And, you know, my algorithm is very nerdy in Dungeons, Dragons base. Texas and Virginia. I was scared. Very cool. Yeah, Rams scare me. Straight up. They might be on wagon status, man.
Starting point is 00:06:56 They're on Wagon Watch right now. They're good. They good. Puka. Stappar's still doing it, man. He is still doing it. He's a, yeah. Still doing it.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Speaking of guys, still doing it at a very old age, Dylan Shivery. Hey, we got bretzel out there just housing a plate of pretzels at 1045 a.m. Seriously, at 1045, I look over and brezl is out there. He's got a plate of pretzels, and he's just going to town on him. This is all true. Like a dog bowl filled with, like a dog bowl. What does he have them on?
Starting point is 00:07:37 Plate or a bowl? It's a plate, but like, you dump a bunch of food in a bowl, and they're just like, that's what bread looks like out there. Yeah. What's he doing? By the way, credit to Brandi for the nickname Brettel, which is pretty good. I had to repeat it twice because I said it only to Dave when he was in here. I'm like, I'm going to say that loud for the rest of the office to hear.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Now that we have another Brett joining the crew, maybe he can have switched to brezell full time. That would be good. To avoid the confusion there. Also, I would like to say something else. Okay. KFC is releasing an Oreo chicken burger. The collab features cookie-style buns that has an Oreo in the middle of the chocolate bun, mashed potatoes covered in crushed Oreo pieces, and a fried chicken filet.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Leave this shit for like the state fair or like ballparks. I would like to think I'm getting, we don't need to do this. I'm getting Barry McCockenard. I don't know that it looks legit. So are you taking that top bun off and putting your hand directly on the potatoes? But why would you order this if you weren't going to eat the, I mean, You ordered this for the full bonn experience. Dylan,
Starting point is 00:08:45 people have been asking this about you for a few weeks now. Look at this shit. The bond is part of the experience. Randy, look. What does that do for you, my friend? I originally told Dylan, I said, I don't think I'm going to try that. And then Dave and Dylan went,
Starting point is 00:08:57 yes, you are. That's right up your alley. I mean, if somebody brought them up here, I'm obviously taking a bite. I'm not going to be like, no, that's so. I mean, it's interesting. It's got, at the end of the day, did you say it's a burger or a chicken sandwich?
Starting point is 00:09:11 They're calling it a Oreo chicken burger, because it's a bun, but it means it's a chicken sandwich, yeah. It's a chicken sandwich. At the end of the day, it's a fried, it's not a pad. It's not a fried chicken in the middle. So I'll try it.
Starting point is 00:09:24 They're not a big KFC guy. What are we doing? Popeye's more than KFC. That's what I want to know. What are we doing? You think we've lost it as a culture? I don't think chocolate and chicken necessarily go well together.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I mean, chicken and waffles do, and that's like, that's a little sweet and savory. It's not chocolate. My chicken and waffle take is one that's not not looked kindly upon by the masses. You don't like it? Most places that offer chicken and waffles that I've been to, and I understand I'm going to places that don't specialize in this. Every time I've ordered it, I found that, like, oh, the chicken is just very average.
Starting point is 00:10:03 And, like, I'm just, they're covering up for their average chicken by just smothering it in, like, syrup. I can agree with you there. Like good chicken waffles are really good, but sometimes it's just like a bad waffle and it's like a hard waffle. It's like, there's a place that offers great chicken and waffles. I know there.
Starting point is 00:10:20 But I am more of like a, just give me some, give me like a three piece spicy, three piece mixed. I don't need the waffle. I don't hit it. I don't necessarily need it for a brunch. I never order it.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I never order it either. I think chicken waffles is really good, but I've definitely ordered. chicken waffles and went, I wish I would have had something better because the chicken and the waffle both weren't high quality. It's very heavy for like a breakfast item, you know? Sure. I mean, it's not something you do.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Back in like the heyday of brunch, which is like 2014 to 2019. A whole squad was brunching. Brunch was going hard until COVID. COVID sneaky killed brunch. Also hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of people. Millions? White girls love a brunch. Look, I was in a brunch too.
Starting point is 00:11:09 I did a brunch. Me, Alyssa, Will, Sally, and Sally's sister, and this is back into that guy she was dating. We did a brunch crawl. The most awesome thing you could do in like 2015, 2016. And it was great. Yeah, it's fun.
Starting point is 00:11:26 We got pretty tuned up. Why is it falling out of favor? COVID, man. Everybody got jabbed up and it made us not want brunch anymore. I mean, that's behind us. Because these Gen Z kids would rather just be sad and on their phones. Yeah. Brunch is more, brunch is a talking, a talking meal.
Starting point is 00:11:46 It's a talking meal. Yeah, you go and you talk. You know, baseball. I talk at dinner, too. Baseball's a talking sport. To be fair. Brunch is a talking meal. You don't go to brunch and look at your phone.
Starting point is 00:11:56 People are still, look, people are still talking. I mean, cell phones were a thing in 2015. You know that. Too much indecent exposure charges at bottomless mimosas. too many uh never mind i was gonna get slightly inappropriate there for no go ahead no you know like the the joke about when when your girl comes home after bottomless memos keep going and she's just like like horny for you you know because she's been out drinking because she's been out just housing mimosa's and it's it's like she gets home at you know two o'clock in the afternoon and it's like
Starting point is 00:12:37 You got the whole day ahead of her. Yeah, and I'm like, I'm watching college football, babe. It's going to have to wait. Sorry, I've got a parlay on this game and 10 others. Yeah. So that's how I talk to my wife, by the way. I have a different character, a different voice. After you place a wager, that's how you shift into that.
Starting point is 00:12:54 That's my, yeah, that's my gambling. That's why I have money on the line voice. Yeah, you do not want to hear how he talks to her when she tries to touch his driver. I'll tell you that much. Okay. All right, point, Randy. Here's how I sit when I'm watching a big game, and I got, big money on it, ready?
Starting point is 00:13:09 Okay. Oh, wow. Babe, don't talk to me right now, please. How is brunch? You need this team to close the gap. They're down, they're down 18. They need to be down 14, though. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:13:24 You think pretzels is still going through those pretzels out there? Hold on. I'll go take a look. It's a pretzel chip. What a weird thing to just house at 10.45 in the morning. The kid likes pretzels, man. Is he finished? He's hopelessly addicted to pretzling.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Randy's checking out the situation. I think he's still going at it. He's still brezzling? He has to know we're talking about it, too. He secretly hates it. What a freak. I don't think he likes to name pretzel. What an absolute freak.
Starting point is 00:13:52 We're going to go out there and he's going to say, we're not doing pretzel. That's exactly what he's going to say. He's going to say it, too. Later on today, hearing about, I don't know, three-ish hours, we're going to do back-to-school week. Got a bunch of stuff overnight. I can't wait, dude.
Starting point is 00:14:09 I just sifted through. Got some good stuff. Yeah, a lot of really good stuff. I'm excited for it. It's going to be on Patreon. Go check out our Patreon. You can try it free for seven days or just go, be like, all right, look, for five bucks, maybe $10.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Go try this thing out for a month. See what's up. Go check it out. You'll enjoy it. I promise. If not, Dylan will personally respond to you. Yes, I will. Dylan at washmedia.com if you don't like it.
Starting point is 00:14:34 What else, Randall? You can watch this show on Spotter. wherever podcast are sold, but you can watch the video on Spotify. You can watch it on YouTube. You can also watch it live on YouTube. So go follow circling back on both of those, YouTube and Spotify. Does that sound good? Sounds good to me.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Okay. What do we go first? Do you want to shout out Roeback again or no? Let's do Roeback. We're talking about Randy's got the Chicago Roeback on. I was actually perusing their website early this morning. Got a new set of looper shorts. I'm pretty excited about.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I got some stuff from my kid. Roeback. You could use codes Lutz 20, L-U-T-E-S-2-0. L-U-T-E-S-2-0. Luts 20 for 20% off. It's a one-time use code. Load the card up. Check it out. They got all your game day stuff as well.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Apparently, I went too long without perusing their website. They have so much stuff. That same thought. Oh, my goodness. It was overwhelming. I'm just like, I want that. I want that, like, 100 different times. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:36 They have great shit. Lute's 20% off. I got another crew neck. I also jump right in. The crew neck that Randy, you were asking me about yesterday. I probably got the same one as you. I love it. They're great.
Starting point is 00:15:46 You go back, check them out. So fucking hot on that thing. Randy or me? You. Thank you. Brady will look fine. Yeah, you'll look all right. You can wear a crew neck all right.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Yeah, you're fine, dude. Thank you. You're cool, man. It's cool. Got a girlfriend, doesn't matter. You can give up. You can just fucking munched. Already have.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Ah, there we go. Talk to some college football. Yes. College football, as we all know, it starts this week. We got a handful of a... Dude. FCS games Thursday. And then Saturday, week zero,
Starting point is 00:16:21 we're starting in Dublin, Ireland, by the way, TCU, North Carolina, and Ireland. Oh, yeah, you know, I'm not going to get a game dealing. How would that guy sound if he had a parlay? Oh, it's a big third down. I told you not to touch me a driver. What about his, what about his Maggie, his Maggie gets home from brunch? Oh, me Maggie.
Starting point is 00:16:41 One sec, darling. I miss Gary Patterson. Yeah, oh, because Patterson, it's Irish, right? It was more of a TCU play. Right, but isn't, that's an Irish name. I don't know. Is it forward me to assume that you wrote for Notre Dame? Who he wrote for?
Starting point is 00:17:01 Is that, is that forward to me? I'm Irish Catholic. Yeah, it is. It's fair to say. We'll have to develop this character for future use. Dude, this is going to be me on Saturday. Football on the TV, Guinness in my hand. It's like I'm going to be at the game.
Starting point is 00:17:20 I'm so fucking excited for college football. No one's drinking Guinness at the game. Dude. Do this? Yeah, it's not a college football player. I guess maybe at the Dublin game. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, dude. Oh, yeah, you got it.
Starting point is 00:17:31 You got to hammer some guinea at the... Hammer some what? Guinea. Plural Guinness. The plural of Guinness. Is that what it is? No. Dave's Italian side just like a lot of offense to that.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Guinea. Yeah. Yeah. Guinea, is that a slur? Yeah. Okay. I'm sorry. If I look into that camera.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Which side? Which people did I offend? I want you to get. No, no, shut up, Brian. I want me to guess. Oh, it is the Italian. That's right. I wanted to go.
Starting point is 00:18:00 I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend by that. It's a new segment called guess the slur. Didn't mean to offend. I'm sorry. He didn't mean to offend. to offend. I didn't mean to offend. It was an accidental offending. We're sorry. We're sorry.
Starting point is 00:18:15 I'm hammering Genni at the at the Dublin game. You're trying to get that Gannousie? Yeah. They got to get Notre Dame out there. Why did you, why did you speed up your your voice and go Irish vet? Did I? They got a good Notre Dame out there. Dublin. Have they not done that? Are we sure? I don't know. Play like a champion. be in today. Did they even care over there? They're like, oh, yeah, it's fighting Irish. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Whatever. Sometimes I'll be at a blackjack table and I'll be sitting on 11. Dealer shows a six and I'll say, uh, I must be Irish because I'm Dublin. And I get like no laughter. I thought, I thought that was good. And then I'll, I'll get like a three and the dealer won't bus and I'll lose twice my bet. And then it's not fun anymore. I wish somebody would come out from the back and take me like hey we need to talk to you and then you go and next thing you know your hand is just getting hammered because I lost a double down mainly no no no no not because of the loss just because of the joke you tried to make at the table okay that's fair you know the butterfly effect like what if you had not made that joke
Starting point is 00:19:24 then you're going to be broken you your bad joke influenced somebody to hit and like it could have busted them because they were upset at my dumb joke they just they weren't thinking clearly they busted And next thing you know, whole table is losing. They lost everything. It lost their car, their house, their family. Well, because you thought it was funny. I would argue that, like, it's on you for making the stupid hit there. Or they, they, like, they said, you know what? I can't do it anymore.
Starting point is 00:19:50 They just, they pick up their stuff and leave. And they could have gone on a hot streak that could have made a millionaires after that. But because of your dumb joke, they picked up and left. It's just a weird, a weird hypothetical. Yeah. That's probably not ever going to happen. Anyway. And this is also the man.
Starting point is 00:20:05 And it was. What the mass shooting was? Is that the joke? No, no, I'm just saying like, no, it's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's a, uh, it's in a part of the strip that's like in like a notoriously like trafficy part. So they walked out and they held the cab, he got a cab and then they left Vegas forever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:25 And they never went back and, uh, they left their family there. And then they never got to see the sphere. Yeah. They never got to go to dead and co eight times. Yeah, I don't know, man. I'm sorry to that person whose life I apparently ruined. Well, just think about the joke.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Making a joke. Yeah, no. It's a decent joke. I think it's a decent joke. Anyway, college football is starting this week, and therefore we got some rosters getting finalized, depth charts, getting sorted out.
Starting point is 00:20:52 We got headlines. I just want to run through some headlines. Headlines. I took it off the board. He took it off the board. It got replaced with. But hey, that's life when you're a motherfucking star. Wow.
Starting point is 00:21:04 What a good change that was. Honestly, probable, are you? No, that's pretty good. All right, I'm just going to go down a list here. You wrote that. People don't, you don't, you ghost wrote a lot of the Tfm movie script and you won't admit it. That is zero percent true. No, you did.
Starting point is 00:21:17 I did not write a single letter of that script. Chat, chat. Let him. Rock it. Chat, tell your family that Dylan goes wrote a lot of it. Ask Claude who wrote the movie. Claude's not going to know because you ghost wrote it. You wrote under a different name.
Starting point is 00:21:28 I didn't. An alias. You wrote under, uh, fublius. Mm-hmm. You were frat Publius. Okay. Anyway. All right.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Here's the first. Here's the first headline. Dave's alma mater, getting a little love here. Five-star quarterback from Duncanville, Texas. He is now a second-year guy. Keelan Russell is starting for the tide. Correct. He was named starter.
Starting point is 00:21:58 That's big-time stuff, man. I'll be rooting for him. I've been tracking. He had a good spring. He was in a big battle with Austin Mac. Sounds right. He said, give you that. He won it out.
Starting point is 00:22:13 He's a great thrower of the football. He's talented. I think people are going to really like him. I have been in vet. Okay, so I am going to obviously follow. Anytime you get a starting quarterback in the SEC from your high school, a kid, you watch like win state championships. It's like, okay, I want to watch him at the next level.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Cool. For sure. So I've gotten a little bit into Bama football. I'm not like, I'm not, look, I know Will's ground floor tied guy. Will's been on, Will's been on his tide for a minute. But I'm a little worried. We got questions at the O-line.
Starting point is 00:22:46 It's going to be tough. Tough sledding. I was reading about, so they got a big battle at tackle. Yeah. And they got a kid from Texas transferred in. And it's still up in the air. So we don't have the O-line set. Nick Brooks.
Starting point is 00:22:59 That's it. And I'm just like, all right, glad he's a starter. Not everybody's going to get in the perfect position. like the perfect situation, but I'm just like, I really hope he's in a position where he can succeed. I'll be rooting for him, man.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Skil position, like running back might be a little bit of a question, which is shocking because it's Alabama. But it's the DeBoer era. This ain't your grandma's, the St. Will DeFries is tied. Not on Texas schedule,
Starting point is 00:23:24 so it's easy for me to root for him. Yeah, maybe we'll see him. I think there's a, look, you're going to get a three-loss SEC team in the playoff, right? At least one. I think you are.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I don't know. And maybe that team is Alabama? I don't know. I don't know why you guys even tried. Big Ten is just going to win it again. Look, big facts. Tennessee. Three in a row? I think so. Tennessee, another SEC program is starting a true freshman quarterback
Starting point is 00:23:47 named Fison, Brandon, maybe Faison. I'm not exactly sure. True freshman getting the start in the SEC. So that's big news. Must have done well in camp. He's going to, he's going to. Any fun notes about Faison? No. Another talented, I believe, five-star kid or like borderline five-star kid. so that'll be fun to watch. They are on Texas schedule.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Texas will be going to Knoxville, so that'll be a fun one. Georgia Tech transfer to UF. Aaron Filo is starting for Florida. He was named the starter. Florida's sneaky my team to watch. The dude's got some good. That's the Dave Rough sneaky team to watch.
Starting point is 00:24:26 He's got, I think he played a very limited role for Georgia Tech, but he's got some decent tape considering. Can I throw on a note, related, well, it is kind of related to the SEC. I'm not going to name names. Alyssa was at drop off today, and what they were talking about,
Starting point is 00:24:46 Labor Day weekend plans, and Alyssa let it be known that I'm going to be going to the Texas game to watch Texas play Texas State. And one of the moms like dismissively was like, why is Texas playing Texas State? It must be like a quote. It must be like a preseason game. Oh, my God. What did you say?
Starting point is 00:25:02 I wasn't there. Oh, okay. But when I told Alyssa, I was like, it's not a preseason. It's very much counts. See, this counts. It's like, it would be bad for Texas if they lost this game, actually. And I was like, okay, dude, why are they playing Texas State? Like, they don't just, whatever.
Starting point is 00:25:19 That's a Pac-12 team. It took me, look, it's not like, do you think Texas plays all, like, elite teams the entire season? No. Do you understand college football? She probably doesn't. Who do you all have after Ohio State? I don't remember, but it's like a UTSA type, not a, not a, Not a big game.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Not a Texas state type. Not a Texas state type. Not a packed wealth. Next one down the list. LSU making some waves like they will do, especially with Lane Kiffin at the helm. And Kim Mulkey. Tied in, Dayquan Wright, released from the Browns. He was at Ole Miss last year, and he is now signing with LSU.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Brett was upset. Brettzel was upset about this. He was. He's not the only one signing with LSU that was released from an NFL roster. We've got Zavian Harris, a defensive lineman, like a nose tackle type. This massive guy was released from the Saints. These are big, big guys. He will also be signing with the LSU Tigers.
Starting point is 00:26:15 All right? What are we expecting out of year one lane? I think they're going to be good. I think they're definitely going to be really good. They're dominating my headlines. I mean, look, you know you're going to get a good offense. They got the kid, you know, the kid Levitt from Arizona State's quarterback now. They're going to be good.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Texas goes to Baton Rouge this year. So another LSU tie-in. So after Keylon got named the starter, it was going around looking at the 2023 state championship team at Duncanville, and it featured not only Keelon Russell, but Caden Durham running back at LSU. He's not the number one right now,
Starting point is 00:27:01 but he's battled some injuries. DeCorean. It's going to be in the mix. Decorian Moore, Oregon. Flash last year as a freshman. He's going to be great this year. Got a little banged up toward the end, but very, very much a contributor. Colin Simmons, Edge at Texas.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Dog. Projected top 10 pick. Yeah. Alex January. Defensive tackle, Texas. Position that doesn't get a ton of glory in college football, but a very important position nonetheless. A stalwart on that line, I believe.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Plenty of playing time. Also, name for an Ole Miss fan. Brettel knows this one. Landon Barnes. Landon Barnes. We'll make some noise. Linebacker. Also out of Duncanville.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Is there anybody else I'm missing? Now I will go through the names of Anderson High School. Okay. Guys who are playing high level D1 football. Okay, that's it. So if you guys are wondering, like, man, how's this Dave guy? Like, dude, he's got such athletic prowess. Like, what's the deal there?
Starting point is 00:27:59 Well, it's just the, you know. He couldn't correct the two deep because all those guys. You think of it. Yeah. Come on. Yeah. Why did Dave not flash in high school? Like, it was just tough.
Starting point is 00:28:07 I couldn't get on the field. Plus, he was, he was starting a nose tackle for a bit, but then he, he got hurt. He had a bone bruise in his right knee, and it's, it sidelined him, and then his Jay got taken. Yeah. Doctor said I needed a backiotomy. He was just plugging that. He was plugging all the running lanes, man. I wasn't doing that.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Dude, the A and B gap just belonged to Dave. Moving down the list. I had a shirt that said mine the gap. Right. Right. Um, on, on the heels of LSU adding two guys from NFL rosters, the SEC has decided to release a statement, uh, basically saying that they do not condone what is happening. Thanks. This is like a pointless statement.
Starting point is 00:28:50 They're saying, they're saber rattling. Yeah, they're just like, um, they're not doing anything about it. They're just saying like, we're not about this. We're not doing anything about it. However, the Big Ten has come over the top of LSU and saying, hey, guess what? not only do we not condone what's happening, we're going to make it against the rules. So I believe,
Starting point is 00:29:11 I don't think it's official yet, but they're expected to be officially. The Big Ten is going to ban NFL players from leaving camp and rejoining a Big Ten roster. Ah, cool. More billables. If you sign with an NFL team, that means you are no longer eligible to play for the Big Ten.
Starting point is 00:29:31 This is like a one-year thing, though, because of the five and five rules, that was just passed. I don't think this is going to be like a longstanding issue. I don't think. I can't say that for sure. But it seems like a one year situation where this is going to be an issue. They end the statement like saying this is why we need the, what's it called?
Starting point is 00:29:51 What's the legislation call? Pull it. I really put it. Pull it back up. Oh, the fair sports, whatever. I don't know what's called. Yeah, down there at the bottom emphasizes. Oh, yeah, college sports, college athletes.
Starting point is 00:30:05 This font sucks. I can't even read this. It does. This is like SEC for. Anyway, they want that legislation passed. The Protects College Sports Act. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Oh, the PCSA. Which I believe Cody Campbell is one of the purveyors of. Yeah. I have no clue if it's good or bad. I don't either. I haven't really dug in. Moving down the list a little bit here. There's a Texas father of a father of a,
Starting point is 00:30:36 a true freshman cornerback who is tweeting through his displeasure with the staff at Texas, saying that there are politics involved and he wants to just blow the lid off this thing. One of my favorite tropes being a sports parent is when you invoke politics, whether it's in Little League, high school, or college. And the reason for this is that we talked about it a little bit, but a five-star defensive kid who was class of 2027, he decided to bypass a senior year and enroll with Texas a year early. So he reclassified at 2026 and he has joined the roster. And he was the number two overall ranked player in the class. So this is a guy with a lot of
Starting point is 00:31:16 talent. And apparently this kid has already passed his kid on the depth chart and he is not very happy about it. So he's he's taking it to Twitter, which is not going to do his his kid any favors. This kid is on transfer portal watch for sure. Interesting. On the subject of Texas, Arch, Not exactly lighting it up in fall camp. It's been the word out of, you know, from sources close to the situation. Do we need to put the jersey back up? He's a little erratic.
Starting point is 00:31:48 The offense isn't exactly moving down the field. I think the defense is going to be really legit, but that's either here nor there right now. It would be a big, big problem if they weren't, given the talent they've got. Do we need to put the jersey back up? Maybe. Butterfly affected. Maybe that's what's going. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Maybe he's scrolling on Instagram. one of our reels he's like oh these local podcasters support your boy and gives him a little boost of confidence yeah he's like wow these guys are oh randy's getting it out it's right there and he's now showcasing it off camera yeah we know what it looks like okay he's he just miced no i don't what he what do you like he just miced this what do it's signed it is sign be careful it's wrinkled now it was already wrinkled we can get it we'll get it framed we'll get it we'll get it framed we'll get get framed. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:40 No one thought we were going to do news out of the San Jose City College, the Jags, but we are. There is a 47-year-old pastor. His name is Justin Buzzard. Kind of a sick game. Yeah, freaking Jaybuzz. He's 47 years old, and he is on the roster at San Jose City College. He's a defensive end.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Something tells me this guy's not going to get a ton of playing time. Why does he look like Liam Neeson? He's 47. He looks 50. He looks like he has a unique set of skills. This guy's four years older than me. I'm sorry. I see you on the field.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I'm sorry, five years old. I don't see you on the field. You're right. That's kind of the point I'm making here. This guy's talking shit. Look how old is this guy. This guy's out there fucking... This guy's going to break a hip out there, man.
Starting point is 00:33:26 I don't know. He has pastor legs. You have a little podcast legs. I don't know what pastor legs are a thing. I guess he's got God on the shoulders. They do stand a lot. They do stand up a lot. Pastors do.
Starting point is 00:33:35 when they deliver the sermon. That's just one day a week, though. What do you think his pastor voice is? It's Cali, right? San Jose-ish? So it's Northern Cali? Mid-Cali? When there was one pair of footprints in the sand, it was him.
Starting point is 00:33:51 You think he is vocal fry? That's good, Randy. I don't know. It's more fun doing like a southern pastor. This scene was filmed in Santa Korea. She did that to me again two days ago. I was so over it. She thinks everything was filmed there.
Starting point is 00:34:08 So shout out to Justin Buzzard. Hopefully he gets a sack or something this year. I don't know. He probably won't. Moving down the list here. Boys are calling him buzz balls. Ole Miss, after Lane Kiffin left the building and moved down Baton Rouge way, they called in the FBI to sweep his office for books. Really? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I would have just called like the pest control. No, different kind of. Okay, I understand the confusion. I get it. No, not that kind of, not an insect bug. I love these guys. That's why I love less than a moment. The type of bug that picks up audio, it's like a secret, like you put it back here.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Like a roach that has a boom box on his little roach shoulder. And it listens to you. And you don't even know it's there. Oh, man, I love this one. I love house music. Because they think Kiffin's the kind of, the kind of ombre who will leave behind a mic to pick up what you're talking about. Remember, like the orange man, like an early orange man scandal? was he, like, said that there's some bad ombrays
Starting point is 00:35:06 crossing the border. Yeah. Ombre is a great word. Orange man. So that's what we got. That's the list of headlines for now. This is not excessive. This is what you should do
Starting point is 00:35:19 when Lane Kiffin leaves your building. He's a very untrustworthy person, in my opinion. If there's a college head coach who's going to lead behind a bug, it's Lane Kiffin. I get why they're thinking this. I don't know if they found something.
Starting point is 00:35:33 We would have heard about it. So I don't think he actually did. Yeah. And that concludes, that concludes, headlines, headlines. These are college football. Headlines. You didn't talk about the departing linebacker from the Texas squad. Oh, yeah, Ty Anthony, Ty Anthony Smith, who left Texas.
Starting point is 00:35:54 He was on the two deep. He started some games last year, but they got an influx of talent. So I don't think he wasn't set to start this year. and he left he left the program for personal reasons and the scuttle butt is that might be might be on the serious side so i don't want to i don't want to do too much speculation tc u had a safety you get kicked off the team because he beat the piss out of some guy up in the locker room and went to the hospital oh yeah that's not starting safety guys having a good good camp i don't think you guys said the quote that uh walker jones the executive director of the
Starting point is 00:36:28 grove collective said when he was looking under lane's old desk. He just said, just trust me, you don't know this guy like I did. Fair. Well, I know a lot. I know a lot from the Garnerverse. We know, we do know plenty about Lane Kim. Some of which is unsubstantiated. The dude just can't stay out of the headlines, man. I can't stay out of my poncho. Fancho outdoors. You're rocking here now. I got the t-shirt on. You cute little bitch. Chelsea this morning told me that that is your best fitting t-shirt that you own. She told me that this morning. I bet she says that to all the guys
Starting point is 00:37:02 Take it back It looks good Ponscho you know why because Pancho fits Incredibly well I love this T-shirt That's the one you bought out of pocket And I was like damn why'd you like Where'd you get that?
Starting point is 00:37:15 Did they send us like send you something And not me and you're like nope I like their stuff so much I bought my own I spent my own monies on it It's my go-to shirt for all seasons Okay This fall year around really
Starting point is 00:37:27 The WEPA Oh The Marfa Pearl Snap Dog fantastic I'm a big fan of the original. I almost put on the original today, but I did not. It's a short sleeve one that just,
Starting point is 00:37:40 it's great for everything. It's for people who actually go outside. Whether you're going to hang out in the dugout, coach a little tee ball, or you're going out to the, you're going out to the ranch, maybe, I don't know, clear some brush.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Shoot some clays. Do some tree trimming, refill the feeders. Mending fence. Stuff that I do. I like to mend fences. The fits are dialed. They're fantastic. Check out the hats as well, as we just pointed out with Dylan.
Starting point is 00:38:05 The graphic teas are dope. It feel like butter. They got a great little stretch to them. They're very, very comfortable. Gear up for fall, winter, year round. Go to poncho outdoors.com slash steam. Answer your email and get $10 off and free shipping on your first order. That's P-O-N-C-H-O-Outdoors.com slash steam. Go there, drop in your email and get $10 off and free shipping once you try one. You'll understand why we've got a closet full. It's that time of year. We got the Ole Miss Sigma new pledge names, the pledge list. This comes courtesy every year from Twitter user Bunky Perkins, noted Twitter user.
Starting point is 00:38:47 And these don't, these are just anytime you get like a list of names and it's something like this, whether it's lacrosse or hockey pledge names from Ole Miss, it makes me smile. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it delivers every time. You want to go out to some of our faves? Yeah, I'm a big fan of Hunt Bennett. Yeah, that's just a good old, that's just a good ass, dude. No, he's a, no, he's chill, though. That's old HB.
Starting point is 00:39:14 The ones, there's some that are getting a lot of play, Thatcher Canyon. Carter Kipp. Carter Kipp has a great alliteration. Carter Kipp? That's so strong. Yeah. What about Cannon Calloway? Speaking of alliteration.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Ooh, yeah, tough time for the Cali. You think he did a, I was going to say, did a collab with Canon Good Good, the other pledge. I'm sorry. I don't. Hey, can you edit that out? It's a live show. That was a bad joke. That's going to make me double down and lose my whole thing. Like you're Irish? Yeah. You're fucking up to butterfly.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Like you're Irish? Say, I must be Irish because I'm Dublin. No, I don't want someone to lose their whole house and like their wife and kids because I know responsibility of comedy. That's such a stretch. I would never make a bad joke intentionally. Satch Kirk. satch
Starting point is 00:40:03 with two H's Satch Kirk is my future landlord Parker Grimsley Rocco Licarra I'm sure they won't I'm sure there won't be any jokes made about Rocco La Cara a name that was immediately vetoed not that I was ever going to name my kid

Starting point is 00:41:37 Wow's Whitehead I went to school with the Whitehead This is just life When you're a motherfucking frat star Preston Wolf is good How cool is it for these kids To have their name read by the guy Who ghost wrote the TFM movie
Starting point is 00:41:50 Dylan Shivry King of Frat King of Frat Yeah Do you guys hear the King of Fred We just read off our names today Do you walk a word Why is it Jimmy Tetro
Starting point is 00:41:58 I don't know how to say his last name Is it Tatro or Tatro I think it's Tatro Nah whatever You're still watching the Hawk You've watched some more So it was a background show and I watched it all the way through as a background show. So I paid, I paid attention to most of but not all of it.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Is it any better? It got better. I told like, okay. It got better. All right. All right, good. The last two episodes are actually fairly strong. I do apologize to Will Ferrell.
Starting point is 00:42:30 I said, no, he's listening. You took out the thong scene. If you take that out, you probably are looking at it a lot differently. Yeah. So Taitro and Farrell, their characters, they were in a playoff for the U.S. Open. Oh, spoilers. With Luke Wilson's character. Wow.
Starting point is 00:42:47 So those three were in the playoff to win the U.S. Open. Okay. And Taitro's character pulled a, he pulled a fast one on his old man. Really? Yeah. I guess you have to watch to find out. Do gray shivers? Did any of these kids skip rush to go dove hunting?
Starting point is 00:43:02 Gray and Luke shivers are brothers. Did any, none of these kids skipped rush to go dove hunting? They're from last. Lafayette, Louisiana. And I know it's called Lafayette because I know someone from there, and that's how she says it. She says Lafayette. When does Dove season start in Mississippi? You should know that as the King of Fred.
Starting point is 00:43:18 In Texas, I'm pretty sure it's Labor Day. It's Labor Day. Yeah, I don't know about Mississippi. Would you shut up? Wyatt Schnur. It would suck just to have a regular name. Do Josh Scruggs? None of these guys would talk to you, David.
Starting point is 00:43:34 No. Well, I don't really want to talk to 18-year-old boys. No, but like if you were hypothetically, butterfly effect. You were there right now. Like if your parents conceived much later than they actually did and you were somehow at Ole Miss right now. I decided to pay some out of state tuition.
Starting point is 00:43:49 These guys would not acknowledge your existence. What if you were trying to push weight on campus and like these were the pledges? You would want to be talking to them, Dave. Yeah, what about that? Oh, dude, who's my guy? Who's my point, man? Who I want random point on the on the coat cutting operation? You got to think I'm going to Wyatt Schnoor. I'd go with Hudson Mills probably.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Dude, Hudson. Oh, you got to think Gray and Luke Shivers are twins. Journey Miller. This is so great. This is top tier, dude. No, you're right. Look, I'm probably walking on down the street.
Starting point is 00:44:21 I'm probably going to go check out a different house. Yeah. I would have to go, I would drop David and go by Carter, my middle. You need something. Carter plays on this list. David Rough doesn't play. Carter Rough? A little different.
Starting point is 00:44:34 They're like, okay. And you know what? They might give me a pity bid just because of the, last name rough because it's they can walk around and just yell rough they they would ball me when they saw that my last name was french i wouldn't buy they couldn't pronounce your names they'd ball you yeah who's this french idiot did uh did you guys pass over this this gentleman from mountain brook alabama william mackenzie the fifth anytime you get that that v and next to your last name you know you're somebody man the fifth that's oh is that what that is

Starting point is 00:45:24 No, hold on. We've got a Cooper Bizarerski. Is that a, I guess. Yeah, is S K-I, S-K-Y. Bizarski is a good one. Bzarski's, yeah. That's probably some could be Russian, but could be Polish. He's probably, probably a legacy, dude.
Starting point is 00:45:37 What was the best name in your pledge class, Randy? Like a name where. it's like that's a good i'm gonna that's one i'll never forget we toss that one around just fun to say we we have the last name uh it was actin and all the uh the older guys kept on going boom tough actin to actin so they just started calling him tough david dated dated reference that's lame dude no offense i'm just trying to think about if there's any other good ones that's the first one i think of because it's it's fun you know tough actin to acton pierre laudomey from dust in florida Was there no Texas kids?
Starting point is 00:46:12 Yeah, there's one from the drip, in Waco, in Houston. Okay. And Wiley. Wiley? Yeah. Yeah, Michael Day. He Gunnum was our Asian Pledge brother, and they all call them Gunner. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:46:31 Gunner's a good name. Good name for your lab. If you were in San Marcos in about 2006, you put. Probably had a lab name Gunner. Hell, yeah. Trigger, Gunner. Yeah. Shooter.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Okay. Shooter. Shooter. Does this change anything? Are you still set on your names? Your baby name? I think we're still set. To get Chelsea off the name we've chosen is going to take a serious effort.
Starting point is 00:47:04 So, yeah, I don't know. I I the chat I just saw something in the chat and I know people don't like it when I but the sack dragger 1153 said Dorn's Dublin joke ruined my weekend and we're only on Tuesday don't you want to apologize about who said this again uh the sack dragger the I think that's his birth name I don't know D-A-S-A-C-K Drager that's a testicle play not like a sack of cocaine right yeah I'm assuming dude's dragon sack Dragon sack is not, we would not do that. Well, Mr. Dagger, I am sorry for ruining your weekend.
Starting point is 00:47:42 I didn't meet too on Tuesday. I was just sharing a joke I've made in the past. Have you really done that? Yeah. Now, that's bad. It's good, dude. Honestly, do you think back on that, like, at night when you go to bed and you're like, you know, the, because you're at the age now and you just start thinking about your past,
Starting point is 00:47:58 sometimes when you can't sleep and you just think about the time you did that joke at the blackjack table and how it's one. That's one I'm actually pretty proud of. There's no way anybody liked it. That's why I'm actually pretty proud of it. of. I wouldn't be. It depends on the mood of the table. I don't like your values. It depends on the mood of the table. Are we up? Are the boys buzzing? Is the dealer showing a six? They were probably buzzing. Dealer's showing a six. Like that's getting a laugh. All right, ready? All right. Let's, Randy and I are sitting at the table. Look at the camera. The camera's a dealer. All right, dealer's showing six. You guys are sitting, you're sitting on 17.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Okay. Randy is sitting on a 10. He also might double. All right. And I'm like, oh shit, I have a seven and a four out there. I'm like, uh-oh, boys, I must be Irish because I'm Dublin. And I put, I slide the chips out there. I'm going to cash out. Midhand? You're going to cash out mid-hand. I'm just going to do an irresponsible hit.
Starting point is 00:48:55 You're going to hit the 17. I want it to be over. I want it to be over. I don't care. What are you going to do? I don't care. I just showed everyone. I'm going to put a gun to the casino.
Starting point is 00:49:04 You're going to kill yourself. Yeah. You're sitting on 10. You can double. Yeah. The table's been hot. You're not fun anymore. You're up 300.
Starting point is 00:49:12 There's no point to live after that one. Okay. It's no longer as far. All right. Considering y'all's reactions, I might revisit that joke and maybe I'll scrap it moving forward. I bet you somebody uses it after hearing this. Do we want to talk about? No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Right, dude. I don't know. Just give me a sec. I can't believe you would do this on back to school day. Back to school week day. Share a joke? Did I think it's kind of funny? It was just selfish to take the show in that direction.
Starting point is 00:49:55 See, because Dublin is a city in Ireland. And if you're Irish, like, maybe you are from Dublin. And it's like, maybe I must be Irish. What if you're from East Palestine? I don't know how to connect that to Blackjack the way Dublin does. Dylan, let me explain it, that this is a comedy podcast and what you did offended me. It wasn't comedic? What if you live in a trailer park in East Palestine
Starting point is 00:50:21 and you look up and you're like, man, that's a nice car? Who's this hot shot coming here? It's Jed York. This is worse than the slur you said earlier in the podcast. Yeah, you have offended a lot of people. Irish. I don't even feel bad about the accidental slur, do I? I mean, it's too late now.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Now people are seeing in real time you think it out. It's getting worse. So you're unraveling it. I'll talk to you're pulling it. The Italian cultures, I'm not. You know the Asian culture, they were mad at me for a minute there. I don't really know. I don't really speak for them.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Yeah. Well, Erlvan did. Oh, remember? Yeah. I don't. I do remember Orwellvin being in here. Remember he said that the Asian culture had beef with me. Yeah, because he didn't try one of them.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Because of the cookies situation. They ducked in an ally point for not supporting Asians. Dave, it was tongue and cheek. They weren't actually mad at him. I'm going to hop on the Catholic forms. There's a lot of Irish and Italians in there. We'll see what they're saying. How about that?
Starting point is 00:51:22 They're probably more offended at just those freaking little deer ankles on the table right now. I'm staring at. Make fun of my podcast ankles. Deer ankles. I don't know. I couldn't think of anything. I don't like that I can see so much of your leg after the sock. There's just no man's land.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Give it a touch. I'm not going to touch your leg. Give them a touch. No. Touchy ankle. Jed York. You never know anybody named Jed? I don't know a lot of Jeds.
Starting point is 00:51:52 Oh, wait, no. Yeah, it wasn't the Bachelor guy that won. Wasn't he Jed? Was he the guitar guy that sucked, that everybody hated? He had the jingle. Yeah, that she chose over Tyler. And he had a girlfriend. We were like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:52:05 He's the guy. Okay. He had a girlfriend the whole time. Yeah. And he came out. It's the only Jed I've ever heard of. Great boy. I know Jeb.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Good Bachelor poll, Randy. Please clap. Uh, yeah. Anyway, looks like the four. 49ers owner took a little trip down to Ohio Midwest way. Mm-hmm. And was doing some soliciting. Okay?
Starting point is 00:52:31 He did. Got busted doing it. All right? Mm-hmm. Doesn't look good. Of course, many people are saying, like, man, it sounds like something other owners would do. What other owner came to mind when you heard this story?
Starting point is 00:52:50 Ooh, probably Bobcraft. Yeah. At least he had the sense to... Dude, a trailer park? $140? Is that the number? I think it was $140. That's what I saw.
Starting point is 00:53:04 Yeah, Hangeflation. It's affecting everybody. What kind of whip did he pull up in? Like, for real? Like, what do we think? You think he has like a... Probably a Raptor. I think he has like a corolla that's just daily driver.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Or like his prostitute car? His prostitute. I don't think he has a corolla. If he wants a low pro, if you pull up to a trailer park, you can't pull up in a, you can't pull up in a phantom. You know, it's like, oh shit, what's happening here? Who's this guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:34 That's the owner of the same. A regular guy car. His average Joe, is Joe the plumber mobile. Yeah, that's no offense to a croas is a fine car. Toyota. It runs well. Just saying like, I think I drove a carola. It's easy to blend in with the common folk and a corolla and a phantom, not so much.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Sure. Yeah, I don't know, ma'am. A lot of people are making Joe. Jerry Jones jokes. And we're like, you know what? At the end of the day, though, with Jerry, Jerry's, no, he's not getting popped for this. Jerry, Jerry's too good at, he's been in this game a long time. And he, he, this is rookie shit for him. Like, what are you doing, bud? This, this falls under the category of people who have so much money that they just like, they have to test the limits, you know, like, it's so easy to stay in your lane when you have that
Starting point is 00:54:21 much money. Like you probably, you probably don't have to fight. You know, you probably, you probably get attention from, you know, the ladies already because, you know, I believe he's his wife. You're an NFL franchise. He has a wife, that too. Well, like, he's got to test the limits. That's what these guys do. They need a thrill somehow. It's just, it's kind of lame. Jed York. People are saying, like, oh, I'm yorking it. They're like doing that joke. Is that what people are saying? I don't understand it. Really? Like jorkin?
Starting point is 00:54:53 Yeah, like jorkin. Your peanuts? What? What? Peanets. That's the thing that I've seen. That was a big, randy thing last year. Because he was always, Yorking his pants.
Starting point is 00:55:08 He was always talking about it. Chorkin peanuts is funny. It is funny. It is really funny. Niners having quite the offseason. Quite the training camp. Are they still training next to? the...
Starting point is 00:55:24 I saw someone Photoshop the substation behind the trailer part, mobile home trailers. I don't know. They've got to get away from that substation. I mean,
Starting point is 00:55:35 here's the deal. No matter what injury for the rest of the Niners existence, that substation will be a subplot, if you will. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:45 It is. Like, you're going to have a guy who like, you're going to watch him blatantly just like an injury that's totally on him. Even if the science doesn't fully back the theory that it's causing injury, shouldn't you just like just to play it safe, move it somewhere else?
Starting point is 00:55:59 It's a lot of the aura. You know what I mean? Randy's right. I mean, a lot of these franchises, they don't practice right next to their stadium. You can go find an off-campus practice facility, you know? It's not hard to do. That's probably a lot of money, like Randy said. Randy had a good point.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Good Randy point there. A lot of money, T. Yeah. I don't know. But yeah, they should or like put up a, can't you put up like a big wall? They're like bounces off the electromagnetic fields. Good idea. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Have you not looked into this? I have. What do you do all day? Ooh, maybe they should just put a data center there. Ooh, Randy. Good point. Yeah, thank you. Kind of best of both worlds.
Starting point is 00:56:47 I just, I just fired a shot at our friend Eddie Radasovic. Oh, did you? Yeah. Is this a Texas OU related? No, it's, it's genes related. Like genetics? He posted a video and he's wearing super tight jeans. Oh man, why'd you do him like that?
Starting point is 00:57:07 Those are tight jeans. He knows we're boys. Maybe he's just got big, maybe he's got muscular legs. He's got reporter legs. Hey, Eddie, my sister wants her jeans back. Oh, dude, epic burn. It's good, right? Oh, wowee.
Starting point is 00:57:24 That almost makes up for the, the Dublin. That's good. Update in the chat, the Sackdrager wants to press charges on you. That's fine. That's fine. Bring it. I'm going to hire T.J. Henry. Man, this is like back in the, this is an old pick,
Starting point is 00:57:42 or the old video of him, I think. Has to be. And damn, dude. I don't think I'd ever had jeans that were super tight. Those are tight jeans. Back in, I feel like skinny was in, like, when was skinny jeans? 2015 to pre-cove.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Did COVID kill skinny jeans? Yeah. Before 2015, I think. They were a thing for a while. I definitely never had skin-tight ones, but when you started to get the stretchy jeans, they were definitely cut a little bit, you know, skinnier. These hands so tight that they look like they were painted on. These are juggings.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Juggings were not good. The first Mugsy jeans, like the prototype, they sent us back in like 2016. They were tight. They were tight. Facts. Man. I can't wear skinny jeans or I couldn't end because I was, stupid. I had like this big,
Starting point is 00:58:30 nasty, bulky wallet. Oh, yeah. But, you know, had I just known about Ridgewall back then, it would have been fine. You know Ridge. They make amazing power banks, wallets, luggage, and premium everyday gear. They're the best. And guess what? They're legendary sweepstakes. It's back for
Starting point is 00:58:46 the sixth year. And this time it's bigger than ever. Sweepstakes runs from July 24th through September 8th. So you've still got some time. Two lucky winners are going to get to choose between Oh, I don't know. A Lamborghini, Starado, a Ford Hennessy Velociraptor, a souped-up Ford Bronco, or 100K in cash.
Starting point is 00:59:08 Yeah. And the beauty about this is if you don't win one of these amazing prizes, you're still rocking a rich wallet. It's still comfortable. We love a rich wallet. Still practical. It's still sleek. I'm going with the Bronco. I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:59:20 I have the leather wallet. You have the leather one. It's so dope. I like it. I like it. Yeah. Thank you. I'm going with the souped up Bronco because I don't really know. I like Broncos as is.
Starting point is 00:59:28 I don't even know what a souped up on would look like, but I can't wait. We'll see what happens. Best part is you can enter free at Ridge.com. That's how you get in here. There's no reason not to enter. Why not just take your shot, Dylan? Go to Ridge.com. Enter the sweepstakes.
Starting point is 00:59:45 The custom-built Bronco, by the way, it's coated in scratch-resistant Kevlar armor and riding high on massive 37-inch off-road tires. That sounds so, I would be so alpha in this parking lot if I had that. Yeah. I'm probably going to do the move where I take up two spots. Sorry. If you were pushing that whip, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Look, check out Ridge. Ridge 2.0 is their most refined wallet yet, 10% lighter, more modular,
Starting point is 01:00:09 designed to pair perfectly with the new tracker card. That's ridge.com and use code steam after your purchase. Tell them circling back since you. We got a little news out of the tour. We kind of thought this was, we knew this was coming,
Starting point is 01:00:51 but we got some word. They dropped a video today letting us know. We're getting it in 2028. A tour championship matchplay. And I'm excited. I think most fans of the game are excited. It's easy.
Starting point is 01:01:06 You know match play. It's player one versus player two. Yeah. That's play's fun, man. Match plays a lot of fun. The format now, of course, I know. But, I mean, some people at home might not, how do they do it do?
Starting point is 01:01:20 Match play. Currently? Oh, right now. Yeah. Well, it's what we're doing now. It's a FedEx playoffs. Do you really not know? No, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Don't they have the thing where you get like a head start? They got rid of that. Okay. Luckily. That's why I was saying that. They got rid of that and it still sucks and most people don't care. But match play spices it up. So instead, you're seeing people like, it's interesting because you see guys, it's like,
Starting point is 01:01:47 oh, Jordan Speeth, he's got to finish, you know, he's got a top five to make it on the next week, to make the next round of the playoffs. It's at the end of the day for a guy like him who's, set financially. Okay. That sucks, but like it's not that big of a deal. But when you get a young player or a guy who's maybe a journeyman, making it weak to the next round of the playoffs is a big deal.
Starting point is 01:02:12 So there are some storylines that are cool in it. But even if like you're watching, if you're watching on Sunday and like some of, you know, Scotty a couple weeks ago just runs away with it. There's some storylines. They do a decent job of covering. But this is match play will be great You're getting pool play
Starting point is 01:02:27 Then you go on And then you're getting like the final 16 You're getting a match play deal Um Maybe you'll If it you know perfect world You get to see like Scotty and Rory You see your Scotty's your Rory's
Starting point is 01:02:40 Your best of the best Go head up In a way that you really don't Because they don't have like They got rid of the match play That was here Like we don't have a Dell match play anymore Yeah
Starting point is 01:02:50 So you're not really seeing that Um Until you go to your president's cups, your rider cups. What, Randy? Were you going to laugh and say two girls, one cup? You fucking piece of shit. No, even worse, I said, pool play.
Starting point is 01:03:05 What is it going to be water? Volleyball or basketball? But then I decided to keep it in because we've already had one too many bad jokes on today's podcast. It wasn't bad. It wasn't bad. But you didn't do, but almost did. He's out here taking shots. He's heat checking.
Starting point is 01:03:20 You're in the arena. Yeah. Now, this will be fun. This is good. This is good. So step in the right direction. I did see some sad footage of Liv, like them like taking all the stuff down from the tournament,
Starting point is 01:03:36 which is what they'd do anytime there's a tournament ending, but it was like sad music playing. I saw a picture, like a wide angle of the post-tournament trophy ceremony, and there were like 14 people in the crowd. It was pretty funny. I love that it failed so much. Love it. Don't worry.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Brett told me about what. Saudi money is going into next. Brezell. I'm excited for it. Brezl told me. What is it? Tell me. They're building three amusement parks in France.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Oh, the manga. At least one at like manga slash anime one at least. So according to the president of France. What if you ran on a manga platform, make America not great again? Whoa. I don't think people would vote for that. You wouldn't get a lot of votes. You're like, I want to, I don't, you know what?
Starting point is 01:04:21 No, don't do that. Don't make it great again. No. no make it good again can we just not be satisfied with good why we always have to be great yeah that stinks you don't think that's it okay fine we'll go back to the drawing board what is manga manga is japanese comic books is what pre is the precursor to anime it's the written text go ahead don't tell randy his fucking hobby sucks well go ahead your hobby sucks okay well i don't really read manga but all right well tell him like the hobby you thought he had sucks
Starting point is 01:04:54 The hobby that we thought you had sucks. What's your deal? I thought it was the Lord. You told me to say it. You said it, though. You said it. It's Dave's deal. He said, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:05:03 You could have said, you know what? You could have resisted. I was testing you. I do everything Dave tells me to do. You failed. You do everything Dave tells me to do. Oh, really? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Yeah. Take your shoes off the table. Okay. He told me to. I'm going to do it. Is that easy? I could have just said that at the beginning. That's all it took?
Starting point is 01:05:23 It's all it took, Doug. I got to pee, man. I didn't know what manga was until yesterday and Randy Philbman. I tried to get into comic books, not Japanese comic books. I tried when I was a kid. That's it. That's my story. I'm sticking with it.
Starting point is 01:05:36 All right, bye. Bye. See you later for Patreon. Bye. Bye. Oh, that's it. All right. Bye.
